Haikyuu characters are all so dramatic. Hinata and him wanting to be the ace and yelling at everyone about it, breaking into training camp, and trying to photobomb Kita's interview. Kageyama's whole "I'm setter because setter is te playmaker who touches the ball the most and controls the team." Tsukishima's "just a club" until it isn't and he becomes so impassioned he practocally begs to get put back in uring the Shiratorizawamatch even with an injury, literally the whole Akiteru situation, "Sorry I took your extra special job" to Hinata during the Inarizaki game. Yamaguchi yelling at Tsukki, "What more do you need than pride?" and running to get an AED when Hinata stops breatjing after being reminded of final exams.

Ennoshita's "if I can't get this ball I don't belong on the court" and him being unofficial wrangler of the problem children. Nishinoya in general but 1) "I'm not playing unless I have my (*coughs* boyfriend *coughs*) ace by my side, 2) pouncing on anyone who mentions his height, 3) the whole "guardian deity" thing ("ROLLING THUNDER!!!!") and the joy he takes in being called senpai, 4) Kiyoko (need I say more?) or any other girl giving him the time of day, 5) him deciding to come to Karasuno specifically because of the uniform's cool looks... (I could continue for ages here). Tanaka in general: ripping hia shirt off, screaming every time he hits, shaving his head to show his dedication to the club, the whole Amane "I LOVE ANOTHER!" situation, etc etc etc.

Asahi "I lost one game so I quit volleyball completely and got into such a huge argument over my (*coughs again* boyfriend *cough cough*) libero that he got suspended for a week and we broke a fucking broom handle clean in two. Suga getting scolded for screaming at them for missing two recieves at their first game at Nationals, I think it was, naming every attack, and putting together an inpromptu cheer squad for Yamaguchi during their first Aoba Josai game. Daichi dying, 'nuff said, but also him not-so-subtly threatening to beat the snot out of anyone who misbehaves (dad behavior indeed).

Takeda saying that groveling is one of his talents and offering to pay out ofnpocket for travel expenses 👌. Ukai not wanting to come back as coach to preserve his high school memories of Karasuno and ends up as their coach anyways. Kiyoko saying the only time she'd be caught dead wearing the shirt the club made for her is if her only other choice was to go naked. Yachi getting so worked up about everything she ends up spouting nonsense or about to pass out. Saeko and her insane driving, the tenko drum squad, her arriving late becase she was out drinking til 5am.

Inousuke communicating with Hinata in gibberish. Lev and his ace big talk. Shibayama getting so excited after syncing up with Lev because he was worried about not living up to Yaku's presence. Kenma cursing out gravity when he's tired. Tora and him getting into multiple catfights because of their different personalities and philosophies. Fukunaga splashing them with water multiple times to break up said fights.

Kuroo being a closet dork, him and Yaku insulting each other with science names, the whole "blood, heart, brain" speech. Yaku parenting Lev and literally kicking his ass. Kai being the calm one but only in comparison to them and enabling Fukunaga's water-throwing antics.

Akane leading the cheer squad. Alisa jumping to thinking about being sister-in-laws with her after Lev does something tall. Coach Nekoma and the Battle of the Trash Heap yhat's been in the works since he, a grandpa, was in high school.

Kindaichi telling Kageyama not to apologize becaise he'll win their next match. Kunimi glaring because everything's a chore. Kyoutani and his dramatic entrance and playstyle. Yahaba dropping the nice guy act and doing the kabedon. Oikawa's everything: picture posing, hair styling, Mr. "At least I get to see one of them lose," the nicknames, that one scene where he "hmph!"s in public and tries to cover it up as humming (unsuccessfully). Iwaizumi chucking volleyballs anytime Oikawa gets a big head and being the only one Mad Dog will listen to because he won an arm wrestling competition.

Aone not talking unless to correct someone about Hinata and their super serious bows. Konegawa falling for every taunt that gets thrown his way. Fukutachi and his habit of antagonizing everyone, ever to exist.

Bokuto literally wilting if he doesn't get enough attention, getting excited at the most unusual things, his ace shirt. Akaashi plannihg his entire high school around playing with his husb- I mean, his star. Yukie eating everything in sight.

Ushijima intending on doing literally nothing but who "invites all challengers." Tendou SA-TO-RI and his "Oooooooops!!" Shibaru studying his ass off to go to Shiratorizawa and play "power volleyball" with Ushijima. Goshiki competing over every. Single. Thing. Washijou, the crotchety old geezer, shouting "Superglue! Bird lime!"

Kita seeing everything as not really a big deal but crying when he got named team captain. Osamu and his huge fight because he and Atsume disagreed about whose future was better so they made a deal to compare their lives on their deathbeds and whoever was happiest wins. Atsumu declaring he'd toss to Hinata one day after Inarizaki loses to Karasuno, his soul leaving his body after he messes up post timeskip, and him being a menace and little shit in general. Suna filming all of the twin's fights instead of getting a teacher or trying to deescalate somehow. Aran being forced to play straight man and mediate all the time.

Terushima trying to emulate the sync attack and whiffing the ball. Hana scolding her team's asses and getting them back into shape.

Sakusa grilling Kageyama about every scrap of information about Hinata, carring a lint roller around, bevoming friends with Ushijima because he dried his hands with a handkerchief correctly. Komori being basically his handler because he hates crowds.

Hoshiumi getting upset when Kageyama wasn't in awe of him then getting more upset when he got called a "good reference." Hirugami not realizing that people wouldn't die if he played badly.

They're all drama queens and I love it. Go read Haikyuu!!

yknow i was thinking abt ulma and oli and well.... suna is so observant and loved the reader all these years LIKEJDKDJD ITS SOOOOO UGHHHJDJDJD !!!!!!!! i just wanted to know whether or not he’s the type to Just Remember (aka stored in his brain) things abt reader or does he whip up his Notes App to jot down stuff abt her like a dork 😭😭😭😭😭😭

tbh, i think i kinda made him OOC? because he's quiet, deadpan, and sorta there, i kinda made use of that and interpreted it as someone who can be observant at the same time.

i mean, he is one of the best middle blockers (wtf is his statistics, furudate? FIX IT!!! HE'S ON PAR WITH MY OG MANS - KUROO AND HIRUGAMI, AT BEST!) so obviously, he can't have such shit observational skills.

now back to the question:

suna, at least to me, seems to take note of everything and remembers the bare minimum.

however, when it came to reader, he just remembers things in perfect clarity.

a few months after their freshmen year, he noticed that reader no longer had her hair in low pigtails. he never asked, but he just thought that it was such a cliche hairstyle.

when asano joined and began styling reader's hair, suna's eyes would immediately dart to their direction, mesmerized by the transformation. there are some hairstyles reader's donned care of her junior, but suna would always like the pigtails the most

he knows she has motion sickness, so he volunteers to sit next to her right after the seniors graduated. when he can, he stores candies in his pocket to give to her. he never lets her sit by the window and makes sure that the curtains are drawn when she's about to sleep.

it wasn't written, but i was planning on a scene where the second years visited kita's farm and they met their dog. reader has a slight fear of dogs. suna finds this fear a little cute, until she shared why she's scared of them still.

so whenever they walk around and suna hears some barking, he walks by or in front of her to act as her shield. when they dated, he helped her get over her fear of them.

it was mentioned way back, but reader mentioned that she has to buy chunky kitkat for her little brother whenever the second years stopped by a convenience store. he asked if she liked them, to which she replied "i would be lying if i said i didn't". during valentine's, he bought one and planned to give it to her but would always be so shy and insecure that he ended up NEVER giving them.

on their first valentine's as a couple, he shyly handed over the kitkat to her. he keeps doing this even after they get married (hehe)

everything about reader, he stores in his brain.

at random, while he was trying to study, or, actually take down notes (cue gasp) he'd write down stuff that she did. for example, during practice she was humming a jingle, so he wrote down 'sing', or she was talking about oranges with one of her seniors, so he wrote 'oranges' with a badly doodle of her wearing those orange hats.

however, when no one was looking (and there was a snippet of this when she had a laughing fit with osamu), suna would take stolen shots of her. not in a creepy way! just her at her most natural - taking to the coaches, sitting by the benches, writing down on her notes, looking out the window during a bus ride. he practically has a folder of them. however, once he graduated and upgraded his phone, he deleted all the photos, wanting to forget his stupid little crush.

through his first years in EJP Raijin, it was a bit of relief to be free and slowly forget about his crush. sadly, little things would remind him of her: sunflowers, lemon slices, pigtails.

one time, while he was doing groceries, he happened the produce area and sort of froze, remembering that one summer he did a group study with osamu and the rest. without thinking, he purchased a bag of rice, even though he still had some at home.

the rice went to use, because a week later, she was introduced as the intern manager. during break, he awkwardly offered the rice. though surprised, she just laughed it off and accepted it.

the thing with suna, at least for me, is that he remembers. if you're someone special to him, you have a special place in his heart and a library of memories. not only on his mind, but also physically.

when reader moved in with him, it was mentioned in the last part of OLI that they have lots of photos - either of them, with family or friends.

embarrassing moments with inarizaki

inarizaki always looks so cool but you know they’re actually dorks and i am here to provide you the content to show theyre clowns. enjoy the headcanons :)

Kita Shinsuke

firstly. kita shinsuke being embarrased? making a mistake? unheard of.

he’s a perfect man and we all know it.

anyways

you two were having a nice dinner out together.

it was a pretty fancy place so you decided to dress in a different style today

but you were beginning to wonder if kita liked it or not because he seemed to keep looking past your shoulder instead of at you

he was an observant guy so you were wondering if something had happened behind you

but you couldn’t hear anything weird so you assumed not

you decided to just stay quiet about it at first but now it was beginning to become annoying!

why wasn’t he looking you in the eye to speak?

midway through your dinner, kita finally spoke up tho

“y/n, your shirt is slipping... yer bra’s showing.”

oh.

right. you were wearing your off-shoulder top.

“o-oh. shin, it’s that kind of shirt, you know?” you had to explain your outfit to ur bf with a pink face.

it’s not a secret that miya atsumu, setter of the inarizaki volleyball team and invited to national youth training camp, had a gf

he was very much in love with u

the whole class knew it because he’d show it off whenever he could too

so here comes valentines day

last year he received like... 50 different gifts from girls and guys aiming to win his love.

you didnt even give him one lmAOOOOO

but this year, he had been not so subtly trying to hint that “i better not receive any chocolates this year when i’ve got a gf!”

he reaches school and plops into his seat.

there’s an anonymous box of chocolates with “please accept my love, miya-kun! <3″ on it

“the hell’s this?!”

“oh? chocolates?” - osamu who just popped his head into the class to shove into his twin’s face how much chocolate he got.

especially since the blond was off limits, the grey-haired twin had a bigger following now.

“do they not know i have a girlfriend...”

“well, ya might as well eat it. ya dont know who to return it to.”

“that’s like receivin’ their love!”

“no it ain’t. it’s just food.”

atsumu couldn’t argue with that and popped a piece in.

it was very delicious. the chocolate practically melted on his tongue and was the perfect sweetness and was filled with a delicious ganache too.

but he couldn’t accept this!

“it ain’t even good. too sweet and the filling’s sticky.”

“ah. really? is that what you think, tsumu?” you ask from the door where you had been watching the exchange take place.

“y/n! look at this! some weirdo gave me some choco and like... samu said to test it but i’ll toss it out, promise.”

“tsumu, i made that... i wrote it anonymously because i thought you’d know it was me and i wanted to tease you a little.”

“huh.”

osamu: “yeah actually i went over to her place to teach her how to make it.”

atsumu: “you said you went to suna’s place?!”

osamu: “i went there later but i first went to help her.”

but he doesn’t let go of you while you’re still scrubbing at the baking sheets.

“i gotta wash the dishes since you did most of the cooking.”

you two were taking the train home today

it was quite late due to practice going a little longer than usual, so he insisted he walked you back home today.

sunarin can be a good boyf sometimes ok

it was getting a little crowded on the train tho, since people were heading home or going out for dinner

luckily you had already grabbed seats so you were quite comfortable sitting side by side.

you and suna have the type of relationship were you dont have to talk all the time

silence is v comfy.

he’s just scrolling through twitter on his phone while you’re looking around the car, lost in ur thoughts

suddenly you notice an old lady standing a little bit away from you and you stand up

“baa-san, please take my seat.” you whisper in the crowded carriage

“oh how kind of you. thank you, dearie.” she smiles and takes your seat while you stand in front of her and suna instead.

sometimes the inarizaki vbc would go for an after practice snack at the nearby family mart

they were really hungry after an intense preparation for nationals which was in two weeks so kita insisted they all get something to fill them up on the way home

but lucky lucky ginjima hhehe

you (his classmate who he had a crush on) were working at the cash register today.

“welcome!” you greet everyone as they enter

he cant help but stiffen up a bit

why are u so cute and cheery today

the 2nd years already know what to do.

“heyy, i think last week i bought ya that ramen right? ya owe me my konbini snacks today!” - atsumu

“yeah. you lost a bet to me last week so u gotta pay up. a pack of jelly fruit sticks please.” - suna

“like hell i’m paying for all of you. especially you, osamu. you eat too much all the time.”

aran’s noticed what’s going on,

“hey, if it’s just for today you can do it right? if ‘samu don’t pay ya back tomorrow i’ll nag him ‘til he does.”

“fine...” his basket is full when he goes to the counter.

he’s trying his best not to have a red face while watching u scan the items, ur hair swaying slightly as u look back and forth between the objects and the screen.

“alright. 4,890 yen please!” GOD he hated how expensive it was, that’s almost all his weekly allowance but bc it’s u and ur voice saying it it’s kinda ok

“mm, ok.” he still has his eyes on you while he takes out his wallet and puts it on the counter.

“excuse me, sir. this is...”

he almost slaps his face wtf he’s so embarrassed.

“s-sorry. just a little absent minded after practice.” he starts pulling out his cash.

he almost runs out of the store and is about to fight the rest of the 2nd years for watching and (suna) recording

So first of all, if you think that's gonna stop the boys from simping over you, you've got it wrong 😖🖐️

The boys would literally take it as a challenge to get your softer nature out, especially Atsumu.

I GENUINELY think he'd find it really hot whenever you snap back at him, or tell him off. (maybe he's like Nishinoya and Tanaka in that sense 🙄)

Constantly pesters you, and although you don't give him a reply often (because he's annoying as fuck), if you ever acknowledge him slightly, he WILL flirt with you.

Beware tho, even if he comes off as flirty and charismatic, he's literally just a dorky small baby and genuinely wants your attention because he thinks you're the coolest person ever.

And if you're ever nice to him, you can best bet he'll replay that moment in his mind before sleeping EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.

Y/n, earlier that day: don't get hurt. I don't want to have to deal with anyone on this team being injured

Atsumu at 3 a.m: s-she cares about me 🥺🥺

I think Osamu would vibe really well with you. He's not annoying, he's really really chill, and he has a pretty sharp tongue himself.

Judges people as an attempt to make you laugh, and he sees it as a personal victory if he can get you to crack a smile or smirk. He just doesn't make a big deal about it, unlike his twin xD

Osamu: y/n look at that guy. he's totally crushing on his brother's best friend, could he not be more obvious about it??

Y/n: *cracks a smirk* yeah, it does seem so.

Osamu, internally: ✨v i c t o r y i s s w e e t✨

He also cooks for you pretty often, and even if you protest against accepting it, you'll usually find a bento hidden in your locker or bag.

He knows you might not accept it straight, so he finds other ways to get it to you. Osamu actually thinks of you as a cooler sister that he says "he'd trade Atsumu for"

In general, the twins are the life of Inarizaki and although they're sometimes annoying, they mean well and it's plain to see that they love you.

Kita loves how smart and analytical you are. I've said this before, I'll say it again— Kita thinks brains are sexy 😤

Especially when you call the team to give your insights about their opponents, or give them ideas on how to improve their play, Kita is literally there like “I'm so glad she's ours”

Because you would be a dangerous asset to other teams, and Kita is the most thankful that you're with them.

He's also a really good leader and although the two of you don't have heart-to-hearts or conversations like the twins, you know he'll ALWAYS be there for you.

Like once, it was raining and practice was cancelled, so you decided to wait in school until the rain subsided (because you didn't want to get wet), and our sweet Kita searched for you in every single classroom until the finally found you and walked you home. That's just the dynamic you had with him

He also often checks up on you, even when it's unrelated to volleyball. Have you done your homework? have you ate breakfast this morning? although you're usually sarcastic with the twins and most of the other members of the team, you can't bring yourself to do so with Kita.

The respect you guys have for each other is unmatched and that's probably why you're such a golden duo in Inarizaki. The leader and the analytical manager.

And now Suna. I think Suna would be the member you have the deepest bond with. you truly allow him to see who you are inside, and he does the same. You guys really just click.

It started with him complaining about Atsumu, and slowly progressed into you letting Suna be the only member to have physical contact with you, but only when the others aren't looking.

Sometimes, if you guys are the only two people in the gym, he'll nap on your lap or lean on your shoulder.

If you didn't already know, like everyone else in Inarizaki, he has a crush on you 😖🖐️ like damn you thought Atsumu had it bad? nah, Suna has it the worst.

He literally asks his little sister to let him practice braiding her hair, just so he'll be perfect when he someday asks to do yours.

But he always chickens out because he's scared you'll say no 😭😭 he's internally very shy, okay? 🥺🥺

He's literally your best friend. You guys have study sessions together, anime nights, literally anything, he's right there with you. The rest of the team are literally not aware of how close the two of you are.

Until one day, Atsumu tries daring you to kiss Suna on the forehead, and instead of flat-out refusing (like you've done before when he's dared you to kiss him, or Akagi) you shrug and gently kiss Suna on the forehead, causing Suna to smile and ruffle your hair.

The rest of the team is just shocked.

Atsumu: what is this FUCKERY?? is y/n literally WILLINGLY touching someone ??¿¿

Y/n and Suna: *smirks*

Atsumu, close to tears: okay

But the rest of the team soon accept you and Suna have a pretty special bond, and that you're genuinely softer when it comes to him.

You don't snap at him much, and as they've noticed, Suna has started being more brave about leaning on your shoulder or sleeping on your lap.

Of course, the rest of the team (with the exception of Kita) is jealous. But hey, they just don't have Suna's charm, okay? xD

You make Suna want to try harder, and he's way more motivated to give it his all in every single game. Mostly because he wants you to be proud of him.

He definitely has a nickname for you, but he will only use it when he's sure you guys are alone. And in return, you call him "Rin" which makes his heart flutter 🥺🥺

KAHDKSS I TOOK SO LONG WITH THE SUNA ONE PLEASE IM TURNING BOTH OF US INTO EVEN BIGGER SUNA SIMPS (as if we weren't already xD)

Now onto Aran !! Aran is a softie who (like Kita) respects you a great deal. He'll fend Atsumu and Osamu off if he senses you aren't having a great day.

He's also pretty good at giving you your space but he checks up on you every once in a while if anyone is bothering you.

Although he's shy about it, Aran actually comes to you when he doesn't understand a homework question. You're super smart and he knows you won't make him feel bad about not knowing.

And it makes you feel happy to know he trusts you, so you help him as best as you can. It's a little secret of yours that the other members don't know about.

It especially lights your day up when he gets a good grade and whispers a silent "thank you" to you in class.

In return, will help you with anything you ask for. No questions asked.

And now, last but not least, sunshine Akagi!! I think he's a total Hinata Shoyo, so he might annoy you a bit at first because of his bright personality.

But deep down inside, you love how easily he gets people to smile and slowly find yourself warming up to him.

And Akagi is really determined to get you to smile (at least once a day) so he cracks the corniest jokes or makes puns.

CHEERING YOU UP— whenever you feel quieter than usual, or a bit more sarcastic, the boys immediately know something is wrong and rush over to make you feel okay. Literally, it's almost like they've abandoned practice. And eventhough you tell them to get back to it, they refuse to leave until you're feeling better. Suna usually gives you a hug and kisses your forehead, whilst Akagi cracks jokes. Then, (and eventhough you protest) Atsumu lists off all the things you should love about yourself, whilst Osamu buys you ice cream (food is, after all, the best cure for anything). Aran is literally ready to HUNT the person who affected your mood down, and kill them, whilst Kita is literally just holding him back and making sure things don't go overboard. Even if you aren't fully cheered up by then, you'd have laughed a whole lot and know how much they care for you, so honestly... how could you stay sad?

REACTING TO YOU TELLING THEM OFF— Suna is literally just meh about it. He can't take you seriously because he's a dork who thinks he's not included in the list of "idiots" (but no Suna, u mf, you ARE included -_-). Atsumu thinks it's hot 👀 (as I mentioned above), Akagi is genuinely upset/ready to sob and vows to do better. Kita is proud of you for telling them off before he could do it (Kita is not included in the "idiots". How could he? he's PERFECT 🖐️). Osamu and Aran have similar reactions, because they end up apologizing and try to change tactics and do better.

HOW THEY'D ACT WHEN YOU START DATING SUNA— (because this is honestly inevitable, wbk 😭❤️). Atsumu would be jealous. Petty and would call Suna "pretty boy" every chance he gets. Leave him, im sure he'll get over it 🥺🥺 Osamu is pretty jealous too, but he'll never show it and focuses instead on your happiness. Kita approves, and honestly thinks you're a good influence on Suna. Aran is protective of you, and would literally gun Suna down if he ever hurt you (but he won't. Suna loves you, he'd literally jump down a cliff before ever hurting you 😤🖐️) and Akagi is cheerful as before, but extra glad because you seem to smile a bit more often (and Akagi loves your smile).

a/n: excuse how shitty these are, i haven’t written hcs in a vv long time sooo i’m rusty :( i hope they bring you comfort none the less <3 also i apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes

- Yachi -

yachi could tell that this past week had been rough on your part

the struggles you had been going through recently were clearly written on your face, yet she was nervous to approach you about it

she was scared she would do something to make your situation worse or say the wrong thing and end up hurting you more then you already were

however, when you arrived at her house with tears crawling down your cheeks she knew that her fear was inferior to what you were going through

as soon as you stepped foot through the door she gently gripped your hand and pulled you to her bedroom, the familiar scent of her perfume filling your senses as you down on her soft sheets

she immidently sat beside you, bed dipping to accommodate for her small figure as she wrapped her arms around your neck in an embrace

taking this as an invitation to indulge in her presence, your own limbs immidently found their way to her waist, burying your face into the crook of her neck and letting your tears flow freely

as you sobbed, she whispered soft words of comfort, thin fingers gently making their way through your hair in attempts to calm you down

soon enough your breaths slowed to a steady paced, tears long since dried and now staining your cheeks as yachi placed a soft kiss to your forehead

“i’m here if you wanna tell me about whatever’s bothering you. Oh, but if you don’t that’s okay too! i just wanna make sure you’re comfortable-”

a soft laugh escaped your body as you pressed a kiss to her lips to put a halt to her rambling

“i appreciate it, but i don’t think i want to talk about anything just yet.”

she nodded in understanding, shooting you a smile before grabbing your hand and gently tugging at it

you quirked an eyebrow at her antics before slowly pushing yourself off the bed and following her footsteps towards the bathroom

as soon as the two of you reached the doorway, she walked in front of you and dug through her bottom drawer, eventually pulling out a tube of overnight face masks and an applicator before eagerly shaking them in front of your face

a grin found its way to your face as you playfully rolled your eye and walked further into the restroom

yachi giggled in delight and patted the bathroom counter, insinuating for you to have a seat

once you did she unscrewed the lid of the face mask and let some of the product fall onto the applicator before tilting your head to the side and placing gentle strokes upon your cheekbones

she repeated the same the movement all across your face as she rambled on about a show she had been watching earlier and how the main character reminded her a lot of you

you smiled as the words flowed past her lips, meeting your ears like a sweet melody that you’d never get tired of hearing

the two of you soon switched places allowing you to return the favor and apply her face mask, listening to her laugh as she claimed how cool it felt upon her soft skin

after the two of you had finished, you took some silly pictures in the bathroom mirror before walking back towards the living room

you strolled over to the couch to pick out a movie as yachi sifted through her pantry for some snacks

the rest of the night was spent snuggled up by your girlfriend, laughing at the movies in front of you as the both of you stuffed your face with snacks

being in her company felt like a breath of fresh air after being buried by everything you’d been going through and in that moment, you couldn’t be more greatful for the girl sleeping soundly beside you

- Kita -

kita had noticed your disheartened state right away but he didn’t exactly make it a point to bring it up to you or ask about it

he figured that you would come to him with whatever was burdening you on your own time so he opted to giving you some space

but when you came walking through his front door on the brink of tears he knew that you needed him in that moment

he rushed over to your broken figure as you collapsed into his embrace, immediately letting your fingers find their way to grip his shirt as kita’s hands lightly tugged your head against his chest

you sobbed for what felt like hours, allowing yourself to let go of all the pent up emotions you’d previously held as kita soothingly rubbed a warm hand up and down your back

once you’d your wails had reduced to nothing but sniffles, kita pulled you away from his grasp and used his thumb to wipe off the remaining tears that clung to your cheek before cupping your face in his hands

“do you want to talk about it?”

you shook your head, too exhausted to replay the events that had been piling up this past week to your boyfriend

kita nodded in understanding before pushing himself off the floor and reaching a hand out to help you up

you gently gripped his hand in return allowing him to pull you up and guide you towards the kitchen

it was neat and tidy, just like the rest of kita’s home but the one thing that stood out was the small pile of dishes that sat next to the counter

it may have seemed strage to other’s but kita always saved one chore in the house for the two of you to do together when you visited

it was one of the ways he enjoyed bonding with you and reminded him that he’d be able to do these things with you for the rest of your lives

he lead you over to the sink before placing a soft kiss to your cheek and turning on the warm water from the faucet

you smiled over at his as he handed you a dish and the two of you began to wash the remaining silverware that had been left

it was comfortablely quiet at first, the sound of water running and sponges scrubbing were the only noise that filled the atmosphere

but soon enough silence turned to small chit chat which turned to laughing and giggling as you dried the dishes together

although your week had been absolute hell, being able to spend time with the one you love definitely made up for it

- Kuroo -

kuroo had always had a knack for reading people so when everything began going downhill for you, he noticed quite quickly

he knew this week had been giving you hell, watching as you strung yourself very thin as you tried your best to juggle the numerous bumps in your road

it hurt him to watch you become so overwhelmed, especially as you sat on his couch, scrolling through your phone with a quivering lip in attempts to not cry in front of your boyfriend

he sighed as he sat himself down beside you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and tugging you into his chest

“Quit doing that.”

“Q-Quit doing what?”

he looked down at you with a soft smile adoring his features before placing a kiss to the top of your head

“Acting like you can’t let yourself cry in front of me”

at that, one blink was enough to allow the tears you had been holding back to run freely down your cheeks

kuroo held your head in his hands as he rocked you gently back and forth

his body was warm, and the way you swayed in his embrace reduced your hiccups and cries to nothing but soft whimpers

the two of you sat for a moment in each other’s arms before you heard a chuckle escape kuroo’s lips

he untangled your arms from his torso and cupped you cheeks in his hands before squishing them together and beginning his main method of cheering you up

“You are, my fire..”

“Testuro-”

“The one, desire..”

“Testuro i swear if don’t stop sing-”

“Believe when i say, i want it that way.”

he stood up abruptly and extended a hand out to you before skipping over to the chorus

you laughed as he dramatically serenaded you, providing an entire performance to see you smile

at the end of the day, you knew your boyfriend would forever be by your side, even if he was a huge dork

yamaguchi had his suspicions about your decline in mood

you tried not to openly express how the hardships of this past week had affected you but he could see through the front you put up

it broke his heart that you were going through a tough time but he didn’t exactly know what to do to make you feel better

you hadn’t reached out to him or given any obvious hints that you were struggling so he didn’t want to jump to conclusions or make you feel as though he was being overbearing

but on your walk home from school one day, as tears were threatening to spill from your eyes, yamaguchi pulled you to the side and wrapped his arms tightly around you, deciding he couldn’t let you go through things on your own any longer

“y/n, is everything okay?”

you shake your head as tears start to spill from your eyes, timidly returning his embrace as you clutch into his sweater

he felt his own share of tears pooling at the brim of his eyes as he traced random shapes into the small of your back, pressing an occasional kiss to your shoulder

once you had calmed down, yamaguchi intertwined his fingers with yours and dragged you down the path opposite from the direction you normally headed home

“tadashi, where are we going?”

“you’ll see.”

after a bit of walking, and yamaguchi humming one of your favorite songs along the way, the two of you reached a nearby convenience store

you looked at yamaguchi in confusion earning a chuckle and a wide grin from your boyfriend as he pushed open the door, holding it open for you as you walked inside

the two of you walked to the snack isle where yamaguchi began to pick up some of your favorites snacks earning a soft smile from you

“babe, what are you doing?”

“um, well i figured we could get some snacks and then watch that show you’ve been wanting to see? only if you’re up for it though.”

you began to tear up once more at his considerate actions before pulling him towards you and catching his lips in a loving kiss

you knew in that moment that as long as you had yamaguchi by your side, he’d be able to show you light in even the darkest of times

you actually got asked to be the manager by akagi a year ago now!

he asked around and was told by osamu that there was this girl in his class who actually got her shit together and was pretty nice to the people around her.

and after a little convincing you became the manager of the inarizaki boys volleyball team!

it wasn’t an easy job though, they were a powerhouse volleyball team and required quite a lot of attention, like filled water bottles, clean towels, snacks, filming them to see what they could improve and more.

but it was your second year now as manager and student, so you quite honestly got everything down and memorized.

and of course, with kita and aran mainly helping you, it did become a little easier.

they made sure that their sweet second year manager was also healthy.

especially kita.

if you had dark circles under your eyes because of the lack of sleep you got, he would scold you for not taking care of yourself. but it would be a soft scolding since he knew you stayed up to find more information about their next opponents

“_____, please consider your health a bit more. you’ll be of much bigger help if your mind and body are both healthy.” you would nod at the captain, grinning at his caring nature. “of course, kita-san.”

aran would help you carry things, smiling kindly as you told him about your long day and the twins would always be there to make you laugh, whether it would be atsumu being smacked by his brother or them thinking deeply about something stupid.

“‘samu, aliens hafta exist, don’t they?” atsumu would twist his head towards his brother, taking a gulp from his water bottle. “obviously, do ya really think that we’re the only ones in this entire universe?”

atsumu’s eyes would widen as he pointed to his twin. “exactly!”

people forget that they’re twins and share one braincell

they would also be very protective of you.

whenever another team tried to get it on with you? one of the boys would be there immediately telling them off. whenever their fan girls forgot their places and started going off on you? they would put them right back in their places. if you were cold? you got a few jackets thrown in your way.

even if they would be exhausted, they would always thank you with a smile on their face for everything you did for them.

they really do appreciate you putting up with them >:(

especially when you gave them back pats and compliments, they would just melt.

you would hear suna mutter a yikes after you stopped laughing, wiping the tears away that had gathered in the corners of your eyes.

“‘tsu, that was one of the worst but funniest lines you’ve told me.”

aside from all the laughing, jokes and sometimes annoying things they did, you couldn’t ask for a better team.

they loved to make it hard for you, but they loved and appreciated you even more.

you sat there on the ground with your hands propped up behind you, watching everyone sit in the crooked circle you guys had formed together as they told you a little story you didn’t know yet.

"so there was this one time where 'tsumu was scoldin' me for accidentally makin' my serve go out, but then aran-kun came and slapped him across his head and sa-" osamu began, only to be cut off by the man himself.

"it’s 'coz you keep spoutin' garbage,” he continued, smacking atsumu across the head again with a sly smile curved in to his lips since he had an excuse to smack the setter again.

your gaze switched to atsumu who was sulking, his brows furrowed and lips formed in to a pout. you laughed, a big grin adorning your lips that they brought out so often.

all of you exchanged hilarious stories which ended up with aran questioning a lot of the things the twins said and kita just watching his team with a content smile.

you turned your head towards the twins and watched atsumu argue about how osamu was a bad twin for not knowing which onigiri was his favourite. he rolled his eyes at something his brother said and reached out a hand towards the captain.

“cap’n, you know my favourite, don’tcha?”

everyone turned their gazes towards the captain who had a gentle smile on his face, including you. “it’s the tuna one, ain’t it?”

atsumu broke out in a smile and laughed happily. “i knew you’d knew!”

A/N: I had way too much fun writing this, most of the things in here are controversial and I´m not sorry

Dom:

Iwaizumi: Look, there is no way in hell this man is anything but a top. He just screams dominance.

for osamu and atsumu’s birthday, you and atsumu tried to bake a cake for osamu as a gift, but the entire time you guys were just goofing around, and at the end, the cake didn’t even look like food, so you guys quickly decided to throw it out and get a store-bought cake, and just tell osamu that you guys made it.

my take away from being in highschool is guys do not give a shit about what you look like or how you’re built, unless they’re insecure, and also self-worth. I got on yubo my sophomore year and had it till my junior year. if you don’t know what yubo is its essentially a teen dating app. now i never went to meet these guys irl i have friends who did... and i just want to stay ted bundy would’ve had a field day with these hoes but would engage in online sexting. which ig is illegals cause i was still under 18. at this point in my life i was just so insecure and seeking male validation that i was throwing ass for people over the internet to people i would never meet. this isn’t one person either this is a collective of i don’t even know how many boys. i feel sick thinking about this but i cant take it back and i just have to encourage my sister and potentially future daughters about this.

Miya twins - my tower moments

these two, like the miya twins are very similare but different. I consider them both tower moments because after them two i change completely how i viewed myself and life. if you aren’t familer with tarot the tower card represents sudden and necessary changes usually the situation tends to me negatives and the outcome following is good. these two are also my most recent compared to the other and i’m still dealing with them today which is why i wanted to give a lil intro. idk if yall believe in astrology but those two have gemini in there big 3 and idk i feel like that has a lot to do with our situationship

OSAMU- my theater teachers son

so technically majority of our relationship was middle school but it carried into high school.he was so mean to me up until 8th grade like i said he was my theater teachers son, and he hated her class. at that time his family had so many issues and i think he didn’t have a outlet. my brother had died around the same time so i too was going through shit. while our issues weren’t the same he definitely confined in me a lot and trusted me with so many things, i don’t think a boy/guy ever just laid everything on me like that and it wasn’t in a “be my therapist” kinda way. he fucked up though, we were in musical theater behind the stage in a closet. his mom was just a couple feet away in the audiences teaching class. me and him were talking per usual, and without a warning he put his tongue down in my mouth. and tried putting his hand down my bra. i was so fucking scared i had never been touched like that. it was my first kiss and i didn’t even tell him he could do that to me. i obviously stopped taking to him after that until the summer going into freshman year when we started sending nudes back snd forth. i don’t like to blame people for my problems but i think i began to hyper sexualize myself because of him. when i wouldn’t send him shit he’d block me, ive finally outgrown him as i now my self worth know occasionally i’ll unblock him and hang out with him for fun but it’s nothing serious. he’s stuck on me like tic though and always bring up the fact he kissed me once in 8th grade 🙄

ATSUMU - my “twinflame”

he was a year older then me and i met him on snap chat that should’ve been a red flag. we started by sending nudes but eventually we started to develop feelings however as soon as things got serious he’d pull out. when his relations with other girls wouldn’t work out he’d always come back to me during that time together he’d love bomb me. take me on dates make out with each other in front of hobby lobbies on sunday, my happiness started to depend on if he talked to me or not and this went on forever. by the time quaratine happened he blocked me because he got a girlfriend? idk if that’s why he blocked me but i assumed that eventually he unblocked me because pussy that good. i gave this man so much power over my life that when i took it back i truly learned by self worth. i will never tell this man this but because of all the shit he pulled on me i’m actually confident. i don’t regret meeting him. occasionally he does try to pull his shit on me and i play along with him. i think the reason i can’t let my gemini boys go is because i’m too scared for a relationship but i know that no matter what they’re both their for fun 😌.

this is so random but can you do a fluff headcanon of seeing his s/o in a kimono for Sakusa, Suna, and Atsumu. And maybe kuroo, komori, and kita too I watch this todomomo CD drama the other day where the two saw each other in festival and they're like so cute frickin' cute todoroki compliment Momo, being kinda open towards her, and Momo just being really soft and cute makes me giggle and smile.

AHHH that is just such a good idea. I'm always so soft when they see each other wearing yukata's or kimono's at festivals. I only wish they had that sorta stuff where I live too 😭🤚💕💕💕✨

“hey babe, watch me win this for you” and he's having a full-fledged war with the kid he's competing with.

He ends up winning and sticking his tongue out at the kid. Because it's basically canon that his mental age drops to 5 when he's competitive about things.

You just ruffle his hair and congratulate him.

Would definitely do the whole yawning and bringing you closer to him thing, when you've decided to take a break and rest.

He's trying to be slick, please don't call him out.

Your friends text you, telling you about the firecracker show and you ask Tsumu if he'd be okay to stay for that.

He practically jumps!! at the chance!! I mean, more time spent with you is always good :]

Asks if he can have your first kiss under the firecrackers. He's a consensual king

After you say yes, he'd just gently cup your face and lean down (WE LIVE FOR MFING HEIGHT DIFFERENCES!!) and kiss your lips gently at first, as the sky is filled with bursts of colour.

Y'all definitely end up making out but that's a different story

Walks you home after everything is over, and tells you how much he liked spending time with you on the way home.

“ya looked beautiful today, y/n-chan” and he has the shyest look on his face.

You kiss his nose and walk inside, leaving him flustered on your doorstep.

Kita

Plans this weeks in advance, after hearing about the festival, and musters up the courage to ask you to go with him.

You jump at the chance. At first you think the whole team is coming along, until a flustered Kita says “i hope it would just be the two of us.”

Your eyes widen and you're both just blushing messes looking at the ground.

You both arrive early, and laugh, seeing how you had the same idea to come a bit earlier.

He looks at you in the kimono and takes a few deep breaths before genuinely complimenting you in the most poetic way possible?

“your beauty is unrivalled, y/n-san. Even the brightest lamp is nothing when compared to the radiance you emit.”

And you're just so Mcfreaking flustered™?????? Like where did he learn how to make your heart go doki doki like that omg

You guys would probably be very rational about making your way around the festival.

Food first, and maybe we'll play some games later?

He definitely pays for everything ugh, such a gentleman, eventho you told him it was okay.

And old lady at one of the stalls flusters the two of you by saying he has such a pretty girlfriend.

And he just smiles, with flushed cheeks. Neither of you disagree.

It starts drizzling and the two of you find shelter under a tree.

You're a bit sad about how your kimono got a bit ruined after slipping in some mud, and he gently helps your roll the area up and wipes it with a tissue.

He also smiles and tries to crack a joke by saying “the clouds thought you were so beautiful, they started crying” as he gestured to the rain.

Although the fireworks show was cancelled, Kita wrapped his arms around you and kept you warm, as you talked so many things, whilst waiting for the rain to stop.

Maybe it was a blessing in disguise :)

He gently holds your hand at some point too, and plays with your fingers, pressing a small kiss to the back of your hand.

The rain finally stops and he walks you home, thanking you for spending time with him.

You take a deep breath and kiss him before entering your house, and he smiles through the kiss.

“i've always wanted to do that” he says softly, after kissing you gently again and waving goodbye.

Suna

Going out with Suna was definitely an impromtu plan of some sort. Like he just randomly texts you, asking if you want to go and you agree.

Definitely sends you a few memes about how he can't wait and begins to get ready.

You guys meet there and both of you are just so shocked at how the other looks.

Suna thinks you look gorgeous, and he tries to tell you in a teasing way. Much like Atsumu, he's trying to play it down when he's actually so flustered.

“hey dork, you don't look too bad”

You're not good at hiding your thoughts though, and you blurt out a rushed “Suna were you always this hot?” gesturing to his Yukata.

Y/n-chan I think you broke Suna.

He's just a flustered mess and he doesn't reply, instead saying he's hungry and buying something to eat. He buys one for you too, and suggests you guys walk and eat at the same time.

Definitely shows you memes and takes videos of you as the night progresses and the two of you loosen up and start doing dumb stuff.

Takes lots of pictures of you so he can document how pretty you look and keep it with him.

You pose for some, whilst some are just totally candid, with absolutely no pretense, your beauty in its natural glory.

Suna is just so whipped, and he knows he'll regret it if he doesn't tell you honestly, so he wipes some sauce off from the side of your lip and kisses you gently.

It's a quick peck, but it took lots of courage.

“i mean to tell you earlier, y/n, but you look beautiful in this kimono”

You smile, and he's just so super happy he got over his nerves.

“thank you Suna. I think you look amazing in your yukata” you say softly, as you run your fingers along the hem of it, feeling the soft material beneath your fingers.

The fireworks are just streaking bursts of colour across the sky, and you're looking into each others' eyes with so much adoration.

“just now's kiss was too short” you murmur softly as you capture him in a passionate kiss.

It gets really late, and you guys go home. He makes sure you're walking back with your friends before heading home himself.

Calls you after he reaches home and tells you he had an amazing night.

He definitely looks over all the pictures he took of you and makes one of them his lockscreen

Kuroo

I actually mean this if I could date any of the hq boys I would date Kuroo. He's such a sweetheart and I adore him to bits and pieces.

So Kuroo asks you to the festival with a bet. He's like “if Nekoma wins this match, you'll go on a date with me to the festival, kitten.”

And he has the hottest smirk on his face. Like stfu and leave some pretty for other men >:(

You're so flustered but you eventually agree.

No surprise that Nekoma wins both sets and it's mainly because Kuroo didn't let a single ball go past him, he was literally on fire.

So he's smiling and tells you he'll pick you up at 8.00.

I'm pretty sure Kuroo is a total gentlemen, so he meets your parents they totally love him and he's just waiting for you to come down when he sees how lovely you look in a kimono, and he's the literal embodiment of the 😍 emoji.

Like he can't tear his eyes off of you and you're getting so flustered, so you just drag him out of the house and to the festival.

“Such a dom, aren't you kitten?”

When you're at the festival he tries playing a game. He wants to win you something, so he's pretty serious and focused.

He ends up winning and he's all like “so I got reward for you. Do I get a reward from you?” and he's just lowering his face to meet yours.

So you grudgingly kiss his cheek but you definitely loved it, ok?

He definitely buys food and will not eat any of it unless you feed him.

Feeds you too, and takes cute selfies to post on his Instagram.

You guys end up taking a lot of selfies together and trying out all the cute filters. Kuroo's favourite picture is one of you looking at him whilst talking to him, your eyes super bright, and he's just smiling for the camera, but his eyes are on you.

Makes it his phone wallpaper on the spot, to your delight.

Informs you of a fireworks show happening in a little while, and settles down to find an empty place to enjoy it.

Wraps as arm around you because it's apparently "cold" and "your kimono won't keep you warm like his arms will"

You complain but secretly love it.

He then goes full-on nerd more and explains the science behind fireworks, whilst the colours are filling the night sky.

But he soon goes quiet after seeing the colours reflected in your eyes. He's so shy, and he literally can't help himself, he kisses your lips softly.

You guys totally smile into the kiss ugh this is so cute.

Takes you home responsibly and thanks you and your parents before leaving.

Sends you a thank you text before falling asleep, dubbing the night he saw you in a kimono "the best night of his life, to date"

I'm gonna cry Kuroo is so important to me, I love him so much.

Sakusa

Okay in my opinion, you'll have to be the one asking Sakusa out. He'll be super moody about it, but internally, he's dying to go.

You arrive at his doorstep to pick him up and he's just blushing at how cute you look in the kimono.

Like wow aight thank God I'm wearing a mask because this blush is fresh as heck +_+

Silently passes you a tube of hand sanitizer and you're so confused.

“if you put this on, we'll be able to hold hands.”

You're close to dying, no one has ever been able to touch Sakusa's hands, or hand sanitizer before. So you eagerly put it on, and intertwine your soft hands with his.

He's just so touch starved, so he holds your hand tighter as you guys make your way to the festival.

Sakusa hates it there. He waits for you to buy food before finding a secluded area to get away from the crowds.

You're also kinda glad you'll get to spend some time alone with him, so you aren't complaining.

You guys talk about lots of things, you definitely being the more flirty one in the conversation.

You suddenly muster up the guys to tug his mask down softly, seeing his pink cheeks and soft smile.

“can I kiss you?” you ask gently, eyes fixated on his lips.

“yes” he breathlessly replies, as your lips make your way to his, the sky is lit with fireworks, but the two of you hardly notice.

Your hand is tangled in his soft curly hair, and you're both blushing messes.

He walks you back, this time, and thanks you for spending a wonderful night out with him.

Low-key feels bad that you didn't get to enjoy the festival properly, so he tries to make it up to you by buying you lunch the next day. Very wholesome 10/10
