Hi! I really liked ur writing so I was wondering if u can do this?

Inarizaki and shiratorizawa (or one of them) with a fem manager that gets into fights often? But it's because they have roots to delinquent family members so they're pretty recognisable,,, also she kicks ass pretty good so most of the time she comes out alive

aw thank you for liking my writing and for the request. Sorry I couldn't get round to writing it up sooner :/

"Oh no, you've got it all wrong. She does bite."

When you first signed up to be the manager for the boy's volleyball team, you really didn't think much of it. You only signed up because your parents wanted you to go to some sort of after school club.

You didn't like any of the clubs so you decided to be a manager for a sports team. Besides, you didn't think a manager would have to do much since most of the organisation for matches would be done by the teachers and coaches.

So here you are on your first day being introduced to the boys in the team.

Inarizaki

You stood before them with a deadpan face on.

"Hey, I'm Y/n L/n and I'll be your manager from today onwards."

They boys bowed and said their greetings but you still felt like some of them were looking at you funny. So you looked at one, he had bleached yellow hair. (Atsumu Miya)

"What?"

He tilted his head up and looked down at you suspiciously.

"Are you the Y/n L/n who got into a fight with Hiroto Ito a week ago?"

"Yeah, why? You looking for a fight too?"

Another boy came forward, he was slightly shorter but still a few inches taller than you with with black spikes for hair that went upwards. (Michinari Akagi)

"It was about time someone put that guy in his place. He was actually really annoying, would never let us practice in peace."

To your surprise, this boys were actually pretty nice to you and as you watched them practice you saw the passion they had for the sport.

Almost made you feel guilty for signing up for this role when you knew nothing about Volleyball.

You would hand out water bottles and towels during their breaks and tried your best to memories their names. Took you a few days to do that though.

Over the next few weeks, you ended up growing fond of the team and the team members which lead you to put more effort in your role as the manager.

You would take notes about each player, their strengths and weaknesses and you took time out of your day to learn the rules for volleyball. You didn't even realise when but your passion for the sport grew and grew.

Soon even the team members saw the improvement in you and grew fond of you as their manager. They hadn't ever had one before you and you were already setting their standard for a manager pretty high.

Soon you would even tease and joke around with them.

Their coach loved having you around for practice since the boys were actually kinda scared of you whenever they would mess up and made them try their very best each practice.

There was a time where they had a competition to go to where there would be a few other schools' volleyball teams attending too. It was your first match that you would be attending with them as their manager. Since it was your first, you didn't actually know how big the team's cheer squad was, which surprised you a bit when you first saw. There was also a crowd everywhere you went so it made it hard to move and get from one place to another.

However, around 15 minutes before matches you realised that Kita was missing for more than 10 minutes. The team can't play without their captain present. So you went to go quickly find him. After a few minutes you found him about to enter the changing rooms.

"Where were you? The team was waiting for you." You asked him.

"I had my phone on me and I was going to put it in a locker before the matches start." He put his phone up to show you. Before you or him could say anymore, someone from the crowd passing by with a hooded face snachted his phone and ran.

"Go back to the team. Go!" You pushed him in the direction to the entrance of the sports hall and then ran after the hooded face.

The guy ran down the streets and into an ally way which lead to a dead end. He turned around you saw that he was wearing a mask as well.

"Heh, what's a little girl like you gonna do huh?" The guy's voice came out a little muffled from his mask.

"A lot."

Safe to say you managed to beat his ass with the new moves your uncles had taught you. Though you did get a few scratches on your face and knuckles but you got Kita's phone back and the hooded guy seemed pretty beat up.

Running back to the competition, you just hoped Kita hadn't worried too much to mess up his performance. By the time you got back and made it to the coaches side, you saw that your team was already playing their first match.

At some point, Kita met your eyes and you gave him a toothy grin and a thumbs up while holding his phone in your other hand. He smiled back before focusing back on the game.

When they had a break in between the match, you handed out water bottles. When you gave one to Kita, he saw the scratches on your face.

"Did you get into a fight?"

"No, drink your water and don't worry, you're phone is in perfect condition."

"You got hurt though." When he said that, a few of the other team members turned around to check on you.

"Damn miss manager, you really shouldn't be kicking ass while your team is out here playing a match." Atsumu teased. He didn't know you chased a guy down an ally who stole his captain's phone.

"You know you should be careful or she might just kick your ass Atsumu." Osamu told him, sending you a smile before him and his brother began to bicker.

You shooed them all away once the break was over while rolling your eyes at their teasing remarks.

You had a small smile as you watched them play and you felt like this wouldn't be the first time you would get into a fight for them but you really couldn't care. They can repay you by getting first place.

Shiratorizawa

"I'm Y/n L/n and I'll be your manager from today forwards."

You were there at every practice they had, they would see you taking notes and giving out water bottles. You learned all their names and positions within 3 days. You were doing everything one would expect a manager to do and you would do it flawlessly.

Which actually surprised them since you were known throughout the school to get into fights with other students both in your school and from other schools.

However, not long since you began being their manager, you once came to practice late with some bruises on your hands and a rather sour mood.

Tendo asked you about it but you just shooed him away to practice more, even hitting him with your clipboard.

Another time, you came to practice with your hair a bit messy and a busted lip that had been poorly treated. Though luckily that time the coach wasn't there to report it to another teacher and Eita Semi and Kenjiro Shirabu dragged you to the infirmary to get it treated properly.

Once, you came to practice after a fight which you personally found very easy to finish. You didn't get any big, obvious injuries so to the other team members, they thought you hadn't came back from a fight and continued practice like usual.

But the captain knew otherwise. When he came over to the side to get a drink he walked over to you.

"So, who did you fight with today?"

"Huh, how did you know?"

"I'm an excellent observer."

"Uhh sure, well it wasn't anything too bad. So don't worry about me."

He chuckled.

"I'm not worried about you, I'm worried about the kid you beat up. Wonder what condition he is in right now."

"Gee captain, thanks for caring about your manager so much."

You both laughed before you fell silent.

"The bastard wouldn't quit saying nonsense about the team and starting up rumours." You told him.

"Aw, so you do care about us!" Tendo popped up on the other side of you.

"Fuck tendo! You scared me, I nearly punched you."

He laughed and put an arm around you.

"You beating up guys who talk shit about us? How thoughtful of you manager."

"Tendo do you want me to beat you up with my clipboard again?"

"Hehe, it's like we have our own personal bodyguard."

You smacked him with your clipboard.

"ow! Okay, okay, I'll stop. Gonna go practice some more. Talk to ya later miss bodyguard- I mean manager."

"Tendo!"

The other team members looked over at you and Tendo and were either laughing or sighing. "Looks like he is gonna get his ass beat again."

"He really should stop riling her up, she is actually kinda scary."

"Yeah but tendo is another breed, he isn't afraid."

summary: you sign up to be the boys vb team manager bc like why not you'd prob get some good organization skills but you end up gaining some bffs, some bruises, and a whole crew of bodyguards

warnings: a liiiiiittle bit of swearing and mentions of harassment also its not proofread

you signed up to be the manager for the boy's vb team not knowing what it would be like

it was ur second year of high school and u had quit abt 7 clubs bc they just weren't that interesting

not like in a mean way like "ugh! this is too boring for my tastes smh" but just it didn't have any appeal so u smiled and resigned with no hard feelings yk

IT WASNT LIKE A SALTY QUIT U JUST COULDNT FIND ANYTHING THAT WAS FUN AND THAT U WERE PASSIONATE ABT I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH ITS NOT LIKE THAT GIRL'S HOST HOPPING THING FROM OURAN

tbh u just didn't rly know what other club to sign up for and the boys vb team needed a manager soo..

they honestly should have just put "babysitting some brats that are somehow the same age" instead of "managing the boy's volleyball team"

they are so protective of you lol

like this one time you let out a little scream bc some random teacher touched your no-no square in a very intentional way

the vb team was THERE in 2 seconds flat

kita stares at him intensely while holding back the twins by their shirt to keep them from quite literally MURDERING THAT MAN

aran calms down ginjima and akagi who literally just start hyperventilating

suna stares at him. hard.

the twins who are unable to attack him just scream

"WHAT. DID. YOU. DO. TO. OUR. MANAGER U FUCKING JACKASS" etc

the teacher got fired the next day funny coincidence huh ?

ANYWAYS

kita is actually helpful

he's canonically good at keeping ur fellow second years in check so lucky u !

hes also rly organized and tidy which is v helpful !

aran is such a sweetie

helps u out in any way that he can

also acts a pillow to some of kita's blunt blows

like "he means that he's sorry bc he realized that he seems kinda unappreciative of ur efforts sometimes" when kita says smth like "sorry for not saying nice words to you"

a translator for kita, basically

akagi shares ur puppy energy so the two of u get along rly well

ur both friendly ppl so its a v sweet and wholesome relationship

u sometimes have to stop gin from making bad decisions but ugs get along well

also ugs r both second years so ur classes r on the same floor so u see each other in school sometimes

as for the main 3 brats AKA some of your fellow second years who somehow become ur new bffs

atsumu is SUCH A FLIRT but like jokingly bc that's just how he is yk

always talking to you and annoying you like atsumu would u just like stfu pls and thanks

osamu is constantly slapping atsumu to provoke him (which is so stupid tbh but works every single time lmao)

is always eating like u turn around during class and he's just eating an onigiri behind his folder 😐

ugs like to gang up on atsumu its a great bonding activity

you and suna r sleep buddies bc u both r so sleep-deprived

well suna's just a sleepy person but u r sleep deprived so ugs will sleep side-by-side during free periods

suna always forgets his lunch so u've learned to pack extra for him

you let him sleep on ur lap and he lets u sleep in his

when the four of u take buses or trains to hang out u and suna always sit next to each other so that ugs can fall asleep on each other

if ur up for it he'll cuddle with u platonically

bc ppl r great body pillows and a good source of warmth

only if ur comfy with it tho ofc

the twins (mostly atsumu but a bit of osamu) will tease ugs abt being a couple but both of ugs just roll ur eyes and go back to sleep lmao

you ended up staying to be their manager for the rest of high school bc of how much fun it is

Atsumu Rejects Miss Manager and Regrets It

A/N: This is an Anon request! Now I'm in an angst mood and who better to fulfill all my angst dreams than my bestie Sumu 🥰

We are going to start this one a little differently 😏

You've been Inarizaki's Manager for almost 2 years now

You started your first year mainly because you were friends with the twins, Suna and Ginjima

They wanted a manager, you needed a club

It was literally a match made in heaven 😍

You've been friends with the twins for a while now, since you were kids

And you've always had a little crush on Atsumu

Honestly YN, Osamu is RIGHT THERE 🙄

But whatever 😒

Sumu was your chosen love

You had always admired him for his ability to dedicate so much time to his skills

He was a solid friend and always had your back

So when you went to high-school, it wasn't a surprise that you started to develop feelings for one of your best friends 🥰

We love a childhood friends to lovers here!

However, you vowed never to tell Atsumu of your crush for a few reasons

1) you were certain he was too good for you

Not true YN but go on

2) he was so popular and you were just the teams manager

3) he was one of your best friends and you didn't want to ruin that

Honestly I admire you YN, you sweet sweet baby 🥺

But just because you vowed never to tell Atsumu, doesn't mean a certain someone hasn't picked up on the clues

Our resident Nosy Nancy, Suna is on the case 🔍

He's known for at least 2 years that's you've liked Atsumu Yn

How you ask? Do you really need to ask YN?

He's a middle blocker and a fantastic one at that 👏🏻

Mans picks up on everything

So he takes it upon himself to be our chosen matchmaker

First, he confronts you

"If you like Atsumu say what," he says 👀

You 👉🏻👁👄👁 what-

Suna 👉🏻 got her 😏

"YN give it up I know you like idiot #1, just confess already!" Suna says as you just stare at him in shock

"Suna I can't do that! Atsumu is to popular, there is no way I'll be anything more than his friend," you say shutting your locker

"And you know this because???" Suna asks

"Because I'm not stupid Rin and I value my heart ok!" You spit as you walk away

However Suna isn't satisfied with that

Oh no no no, he's going to do more

So he casually decides to being it up with Atsumu in the club room 😃

Great, solid plan 👌🏻

"Hey what do you guys think about YN?" Suna asks 👀

"What about her?" Osamu questions

"I mean, she's super cute right? I'm surprised she doesn't have a boyfriend," Suna continues

"She gets confesses to alot but she's never gone out with any of the guys who've asked her," Ginjima chimes in

"What do you think Sumu?" Suna probes

Atsumu just laughs as Suna, Ginjima and Osamu all look at him, confused

"What's so funny?" Ginjima questions

"I mean, I guess she's cute if you like that type of girl," Atsumu responds

"What type of girl? YN is gorgeous Sumu," Osamu says, crossing his arms and defending you

"Oh don't get me wrong, YN is hot but shes just not my type plus she's one of my best friends," Atsumu says

Suna is now glaring at Atsumu because what an idiot istg 🙄

"So you're saying you'd never ask YN out?" Ginjima asks

Atsumu again laughs, "Yeah not in a million years!"

Well thank God you weren't just standing outside the club room at that exact moment to hear the ENTIRE exchange am I right 😃

Right 😃

Yn...

You rn 👉🏻😐🥺 right..

Crap 😐 you heard the whole thing didn't you?

You just so happened to be walking by when you heard Suna mention your name

So naturally you had to listen

Curiosity killed the cat you know 😫

That brings us to you, standing outside the club room as tears stream down your face

You always knew you weren't good enough for Atsumu

But hearing the words come from him just stabbed you right in the heart

You're heart that was currently breaking 💔

"Hey YN, what's wrong?" Aran says coming up behind you as you try desperately to blink away the tears

Suddenly the club room door opens and Suna, Ginjima, Osamu and Atsumu come out

Suna instantly knows why you are crying but he says nothing 😶

He's just like 👉🏻😳 crap-

"Yn what's wrong? Did someone mess with ya?" Atsumu asks as he approaches you

You back away, not wanting to be near him

Atsumu stops and looks at you confused 😕

Quick YN, think of something!

"Ummm, no- I uh I didn't do so good on a math quiz, I'll be ok. See you in the gym!" You quickly say trying to combat the tears as you turn and run to the gym

Everyone but Suna is so confused

"YN's best subject is math tho," Ginjima questions

Osamu looks to Suna who is looking a bit pale

He starts to wonder what's going on 🤨

"Let's leave her alone, she just maybe needs some time," he says, quickly walking to the gym

That day, at practice, you are incredibly distant and quiet

Literally everyone notices including Kita, Omimi and Michinari

Suna is just like 😗 🎶 trying to ignore everything

Very suspicious 🙃

"Hey YN, you ok?" Omimi finally asks as you snap from your haze

"Oh yeah! Sorry, I uh failed an English quiz so I'm a bit sad but I gotta run! It looks like you guys need water!" You say, way too enthusiastic about filling water bottles

"I thought you failed a math quiz?" Aran questioned as your eyes widened

"Oh uh, yeah I failed both. Just a bad day ha ha," you say quickly grabbing the bottles and running off 🏃‍♀️

Atsumu is watching you, concerned about why you are acting this way

You see, Atsumu may have lied a teeny tiny bit earlier 👀

He really does care about you and he likes you a lot but he's nervous to confess 😬

He tries to not think about it as he goes about his serving practice

After practice, Atsumu stays later to get some more serves in while the guys head to the club room

"Alright Rin spill!" Osamu says cornering Suna

"What?" Suna asks, trying to remain aloof 👀

"We all know you know why YN is acting the way she is! So spill!" Osamu says

Suna sighs as he looks at the team who is all watching him

"YN likes Atsumu and I'm pretty sure she heard what he said about her earlier," Suna says as Ginjima and Osamu's eyes widen

"Wait, what did Atsumu say?" Kita questions

"He said YN wasn't his type and that he wouldn't date her," Ginjima answers

"Well crap, poor YN," Michinari says, sitting down on the bench

"I mean, what can we do? He doesn't like her and we can't change that," Aran interjected

"I feel bad for bringing it up but I really didn't think she would hear it," Suna says

"I think we just need to let her process it and move on. We can't force him to like her," Kita says as the guys all look down

They want to help YN but they have no clue how to so it

So they just wait and see

Unfortunately, you don't cheer up ☹️

The sting of rejection really hurts and it's affecting everything

Soon you start to withdraw from the team, only showing up to practice right before you have to and leaving as quickly as you can

Even the coach notices 🥺

Atsumu is beginning to really wordy about you

He hasn't seen you for more than a few hours all week

You look pale and like you've lost weight

He hates seeing you like this

So he decides to ask to bring it up

At the team meeting 😃

Oh sweet baby Jesus

"Does anyone have anything else to add?" Coach asks as Atsumu raises his arm

"Yeah, I'm just wondering what's up with you YN? Are you ok?" Atsumu questions

Literally the entire team rn 👉🏻👀👂🏻

He's just staring at you

And you look at him like 👉🏻👁💧👄💧👁

"I'm fine Sumu, I just haven't been doing well in school," you finally say as Atsumu scoffs

"YN that's a lie! I know you got one of the best scores in English and Math! So what's really going on? Is someone picking on ya? Did someone reject ya?" Atsumu asks as you just sit there, trying hard not to cry

"Sumu lay off ok?" Osamu says as Atsumu looks at him

"No! She's being such a downer and she's acting ridiculous. She won't talk to any of us and she's barely present!" Atsumu says as the tears start to stream down your face

"Atsumu, enough!" Kita growls as you try your hardest to not cry

"What's wrong with ya? If some guy rejected ya then he doesn't deserve ya! Move on Yn!" Atsumu says

That does it, that breaks the dam of emotions that have been building up

You stand up, tears streaming down your face as you look at Atsumu

"I was rejected Sumu and you're right, I should just move on from it but it's hard to move on from being rejected by your best friend!" You scream as Atsumu's eyes widen in shock, "but you're right, he doesn't deserve me!"

You turn, running out of the gym as the tears flow

Aran, Omimi and Michinari all get up and run after you

Kita is just standing there, his arms crossed looking hella pissed off

"Way to go idiot," Osamu says, standing up and walking out of the door

"What- what's going on?" Atsumu questions as Suna and Ginjima stands up

"YN likes you dumbass. She's been sad because she overheard us talking about her the other day," Suna says

Atsumu 👉🏻😐😳 she- she heard that?

"You couldn't just let her be could ya?" Ginjima says, turning and walking out the door as Suna follows and shakes his head

Atsumu is left on the gym, stunned and trying to process his emotions

Meanwhile, you locked yourself in the girls bathroom, bawling your eyes out as you tried to calm down

Did he really have to bring that up? Did he have to reopen the wounds you were trying to heal?

You sat in the bathroom for a while until you finally emerged, looking around to make sure nobody was left to see your state

You walked out the door, turning the corner to see Atsumu sitting on the bench

You quickly turn, trying to avoid him but it's too late

"YN wait!" He shouted as you quickly walked away

"YN stop!" He said, catching up to you and pulling your arm to turn you around

"Sumu I'm sorry I can't-" you say as the tears run down your face

Atsumu says nothing, just pulling you in for a big hug

The hug is comforting but also hurtful as you continue to cry louder

"YN I'm so sorry I hurt ya," he said as he rubs your back and you hug him back

"It's ok Sumu, I should have known you wouldn't like me," you said as Atsumu pulls you away, looking down into your eyes

"But I do like you YN," he says

You rn 👉🏻🥲 huh?

He sighs, throwing his head back and looking back at you, "I do like you YN. I've liked you since middle school. I just- I just didn't want to ruin our friendship. You're my best friend YN and I love you."

You 👉🏻😲

YN is too stunned to speak

"Sumu-"

"I guess I didn't really think you'd like me since I'm so annoying and kind of an idiot," he said laughing

You just nod

Atsumu 👉🏻😐 really YN?

"Sumu, I'm sorry I let this impact our friendship. I'm happy just being friends with you," you say as Atsumu looks at you

"I can't be friends with you anymore YN," he says

You 👉🏻🥺😔 I understand

"No! God I'm awful at this! I want you to be my girlfriend YN!" Atsumu says, panicking

"You, you- what??" You shout as your eyes widen 😳

Atsumu just smiles, pulling you closer, his forehead meeting yours

Oh god I'm about to cry 😭

"Please say you'll be mine," he says as you smile and nod

"Yes Sumu!" you say as he kisses you and lifts you up, swinging you in the air as you scream with joy

"Oh thank GOD!" Osamu says as him and the team come walking down the hallway, tears streaming down Suna's eyes as he records what just happened

"I'm so happy right now," he says wiping a tear

"Alright alright! I'm glad it all worked out but now can we please get back to practice?" Kita says ad you and Atsumu nod

He grabs your hand, interlacing your fingers as he pulls you to the gym

You are one lucky girl YN 🥰

Chapter Three

Summary: Inarizaki boys reacting to their manager admitting her crush on Karasuno’s ace, Asahi Azumane

Word Count: 1.9K

Warnings: Short fic but still fun to write. Atsumu is a little meanie in this but I still love him. He’s just a goofball sometimes. Some characters are a little OOC but I hope it’s okay for the sake of the story. A/N: Next post will be a headcanon about the Inarizaki vs Karasuno match because I’m not great at writing action scenes. Hope you still enjoy it. Happy reading!

“I think… He’s the one.”

As the words left her lips, (Y/N) knew they were true. She genuinely felt a connection towards the opposing team’s ace. Never before had she felt this warm feeling at this level with anyone else like they were with Asahi.

To all the boys before him, she did try to see if those feelings were hidden or at the very least present. In her eyes, every guy, minus the Miya twins, who tried to ask her out only showed her their best side. The side where they can take pride in, all the while hiding the side they didn’t want her to see. Obviously, she knew they had their reasons but every time she explained to them it was okay to have faults they didn’t want to listen. It was as if holding their macho pride took priority.

Or how sometimes they didn’t see her as more than a girl with a pretty face. She hated guys like that. Unlucky Schmuck #3 was the very definition of a shallow person. He was the captain and ace of the basketball team who’s only real interest in her was her chest size and boosting his popularity. When she declined him, he became upset and dared to ask a question that solidified her decision was the right choice: Why wouldn’t you go out with me?! I’m the ace!

Those were just some of the reasons why she liked Asahi. He was honest with his feelings. He’s brave enough to admit his faults and maintain so humble while carrying the title of ace. His presence was so comforting and soothing. Like a warm ray of sunshine breaking over the horizon.

“Aww, look at her.” Atsumu teased, his fingers pinching her cheek. “Our manager-senpai is in love. Who would have thought?”

(Y/N) smirked, her hand making its way to pinch Atsumu’s cheek. “What? You thought I was going to stay single forever?”

“Ack! No! Of course not…” The setter said unconvincingly, his eyes gleaming in mischief. “Ow! Quit hurting me!”

She pinched his cheek one final time before letting go. “But really, Asahi is a sweet guy.”

“Oh yeah, he looks really lovable.” Osamu peered over her shoulder to look at Karasuno’s ace. “You do know we’re not going to go easy on them just because you like him, right?”

“Like hell we are!” Atsumu exclaimed as he crossed his arms. “I got to show that Goody-Two Shoes a lesson about setting.”

(Y/N)’s jaw dropped and mocked a hurt expression on her face. “I wouldn’t ask you guys to do that. Everyone worked hard to get here. Nationals isn’t the place to take it easy.”

Suna fixed his jersey into his shorts. “So… When’s the first date?”

“He’s not her boyfriend!” The twins interrupted in unison.

“Geez, announce it to the whole stadium, why don’t you? Maybe I should get the announcer’s microphone to help.” (Y/N) said, her words dripping in sarcasm.

The middle blocker smirked at his manager’s quick retort before returning to his previous question, “That being said, will there be a date?”

“No way.” Osamu cuts in. “It’s too soon. They barely met yesterday.”

“And our senpai only deserves the best. Not some nameless ace from a forgotten powerhouse.” Atsumu huffed as he crossed his arms.

“This is why you’re the evil twin.”

“What?!”

“That’s true.”

“Shut up, Suna!”

(Y/N) smiled at the second-years. They always made her day a bit more interesting since they first met. But sometimes, they can be a bit much. Especially before matches.

“As much as I love you guys being protective and all, I can make my own choices. I’m not the type of girl that would fall for any guy.”

“That’s true.” Suna jutted out a thumb at the twins. “You were smart enough to dodge these two.”

“Hey!” They yelled, glaring at the smirking middle blocker.

“Oh, they’re not that bad. Anyone would be lucky to have them as their boyfriend.” (Y/N) began as she patted both twin’s backs. Her words seeped into the brothers’ core as they puffed out their chest in pride. Until she spoke, “But they’re still idiots.”

Once the idiot remark registered in their brains, the twins quickly reacted while Suna cracked another grin.

“How could you say that, (Y/N)-san?!”

“He’s more of an idiot than I am!”

“Oi! At least I don’t steal her food when she’s not looking!”

“So? She says she doesn’t mind.”

As Atsumu and Osamu continued to argue, the manager and the middle blocker watched from the sidelines. With the twins now moving on to personal insults, the rest of the team decided to join the watch party.

“Why are they fighting?” Akagi, the libero, asked as he and Omimi walked up to her.

“I call them idiots.” (Y/N) simply stated with a smile on her lips. “Now they’re trying to prove who’s the bigger idiot.”

“The fight could go on forever.” Omimi’s deep voice pointed out but made no effort to stop them.

“You didn’t answer my question, (Y/N)-san.” Suna whispered. “Is there a date with you and that Karasuno guy in the future?”

She smiled at him as she could see the care in Suna’s eyes and hear the amount of worry that laced his words. Her mind couldn’t help but wonder on what would happen if she and Asahi were to go on a date. If he were to ask her out, she undoubtedly would say yes but there’s that small voice of doubt that would say: This is too good to be true. So much so that it has to be a dream…

“I don’t know, Suna. I think it’s too soon to tell.” (Y/N) took the chance to look at Asahi across the gym. His back was towards her but it was as though he could sense her eyes on him as he turned around. His eyes locked with hers and once again she felt herself get goosebumps. “I guess we’ll see.”

Suna narrowed his eyes at his manager. During the two years he’s known (Y/N), he has never seen her like this before with a guy. While this Asahi guy looks… Suspicious to say the least, if he can make her happy then that’s fine by him.

“Take it from me, (Y/N)-senpai, when a guy likes a girl, he makes the effort to get to know her… Those moments with her… Will mean a lot to him. If you feel the same way as he does, don’t be scared. Go for it and see where the relationship takes you one step at a time.”

Out of any of the players on their team, Suna was the last person she would suspect of giving out meaningful relationship advice. Though, she couldn’t say it completely surprised her. The middle blocker has always been the observant type.

She placed her hand on his shoulder. “Thanks, Suna. I needed to hear that.”

“No problem. Guess my sister’s girly magazines do work, huh?”

(Y/N) gasped before playfully punching him. “And here I was thinking you’re my favorite second-year.”

“I still am.” Suna chuckled. “But whatever happens, I hope your boyfriend knows how lucky he is to catch your eye.”

“Aww Suna… You care for me.”

“The whole team cares for you.”

With that being said and done, the middle blocker left and (Y/N) smiled as his words were true.

The first-years, though nervous, would always help her with trivial chores. The second-years never failed to bring any silly shenanigans to the table but she had to admire their dedication to the sport. Finally, her fellow third-years, the ones that have been by her side since the very first practice, have given her a high school experience that she’ll remember fondly. Despite their motto saying that they didn’t need the memories, (Y/N) will always cherish the moments she spent with the Inarizaki volleyball team.

“(Y/N)-san.”

“Hey, Aran. Oh, Kita-san, you’re done with the interview? How did it go?”

Kita unzipped his maroon jacket before he spoke, “It went well. How are things here?”

“Besides the twins arguing.” Aran laughed.

The trio of third years walked to the nearby bench where two black jerseys, #1 and #4, were placed.

“Everything is ready to go.” (Y/N) answered as her two friends removed their normal shirts. She passed each of them their respective shirts. “And the twins are just… Extra motivated to play.”

“Oh?” Aran raised his eyebrows. “Any special reason why?”

“Well… There’s this guy I met yesterday…”

“WHO?!” The Inarizaki’s ace all but shouted, attracting the attention from everyone on the team.

“Aran, lower your voice.” Kita instructed.

But the ace only looked at his captain as if he was a crazy mental patient. “How can you be so calm, Kita? Did she tell you already?”

The silver-haired stoic captain shook his head. “(Y/N) didn’t tell me anything, but I can tell something was going on. I just didn’t know it was because of a guy.”

“Who is he? Do we know him?” Aran interrogated.

(Y/N) retold her story on how she met with Karasuno’s ace to her friends. The butterflies in her stomach revived once more when she was at the part of the story where she secretly gave Asahi her phone number. When she finished, she waited for their response.

Aran was the first to react.

“Wow. I didn’t know you had it in you, (Y/N). This guy must be crazy good to impress you.”

“It’s not just that. You’ll see when you play against him.” (Y/N) told them as she fiddled with the zipper of her maroon jacket. “He’s not like anyone I’ve met.”

Kita smiled at her. The two of them have shared the same classes since the first day of high school so he knows that (Y/N) wouldn’t fall for any guy, no matter how persuasive or charming he can be. But it seems this Asahi guy wasn’t like that at all. In fact, he sounded like the complete opposite a girl would go for… At least, that’s what he assumes. But he wasn’t going to question his manager’s choice. Like (Y/N) said, he’ll see for himself what Karasuno’s ace is like.

“I trust you, (Y/N).”

“Yeah, me too, (Y/N).” Aran joined. “I can’t wait to see what this guy is made of.”

Before she could even utter a word, Coach Kurosu announced it was time. Everyone quickly huddled together for their usual pep talk. (Y/N) took a quick head count before gathering her stuff. When she came back, everyone looked more determined than ever.

“What’s-”

“Alright! Let’s go show Karasuno what Nationals is all about! Let’s go win this!” Aran shouted.

“Yeah!” Everyone shouted back.

“And show that their ace is out of his league to flirt with (Y/N)-senpai!” Atsumu added.

“YEAH!!!”

If she didn’t have her hands full, (Y/N) would have facepalmed at her teammates’ method of a pep talk. It would have been considered embarrassing if it wasn’t so endearing to see how much they cared for her. Besides, she’s never seen them so determined like this before.

As they walked towards the main gym, she brought Kita aside and asked, “Was what Atsumu said really necessary?”

“It worked didn’t it?”

(Y/N) sighed but smiled. Her heart was beating in excitement as the main gym’s lights shined over them. Her ears were ringing when she heard the loud cheers.

“May the best team win.”

‘Good luck, Asahi.’

“Hey, Daichi. Is it just me or am I being glared at by everyone on the other team?”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Asahi. You’re probably imagining it.”

Summary: In which the Inarizaki and Seijoh boyzz have a female manager in her 2nd year who loves to sing.

Seijoh:

To say that the boys were amazed or surprised by your voice was an understatement.

Of course, the captain, Oikawa, always complimented you by your singing and even tried to sing with you a few times but got hit in the head multiple times by Iwaizumi with a volleyball and you felt bad for him

but Oikawa was shit at singing soooooo...

Also, your voice, whether you sung cardigan by Taylor Swift or any other song, it calmed the team down and motivated them to keep going with volleyball or...well, whatever they were going to do

Matsukawa, Hanamaki and Yahaba are always trying to get your attention, wanting you to sing random songs with them to which you happily accept

I mean, yeah, you get shy, but you are actually an extroverted person

you like to make rhymes while explaining something to the boys and Kindaichi -our precious union head- sometimes even beatboxes (idk he seems like to type to be able to do beatboxing i mean cmon look at his timeskip)

it turns into a rapping session

the players then dance and sing along, already having your words in their minds

Poor Akira has to listen to all those "Yeah!"s and "Uh huh!!!"s everytime he visits and he almost wants to skip again but then you sing some praise about him making a good and strategic hit

Meanwhile, Yuda is vibing next to you as you sing one of Taylor Swift's songs yet again and even points it out, slightly teasing you

"What can I say? I just really like her voice and her songs help me when I'm feeling down..."

That freckled babyboy is trying to lift your spirits like he tried with his team when they all lost against Karasuno

Babyboy is happy

Heisuke and Motomu are always clapping after your singing ends, thanking you for blessing their ears

Overall the whole team is so happy that they have a manager, who A) is a WOMAN, B) is NICE and C) even SINGS for them

In all of their matches, even against Karasuno, they showed you off, all chanting:

"LOOK, THIS IS OUR HOT MANAGER, AND SHE CAN SING! SUCKS FOR YOU AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!"

You are growing annoyed whenever they do this and Iwaizumi has to scream from the top of his lungs to make the simps stop

All in all, the boys are happy that you chose to be their manager

they are happy that you make songs for them to remember things more easily

they all want you to write your own songs and become a star and stuff like that cuz they think your voice is beautiful :D

Riseki is constantly overthinking things and so you make him a rhyme he can remember thinking of and he is feeling better

The guys find it funny and sweet of you (Riseki thanks you with a bashful smile while averting his eyes and blushing a little) and Atsumu is the first one to ask you for a little comfort rhyme for getting hit by Aran with the volleyball

Alan still hasn't apologized

Anyways

Michinari is training as well but also likes to observe his teammates like Kita and has cheered when Aran hit Atsumu with a volleyball, you gave the future PE teacher a mean glare

Now you are telling him to throw the ball in the air and hit the ground with it after as a form of punishment

Cat eyes was not really happy with that but quickly got back to his cheery self

Kosaku is doing the same, but with much more vigor because of his competitive nature and you chant his name like a cheerleader

"Go Yuto go, go go go!", you exclaim while clapping your hands

Atsumu and Ginjima want you to chant their name as well, so Atsumu uses the second year's naiveness to his advantage, with Kita already sensing their bullshit

Atsumu feigns being shocked and not knowing what the white haired guys says

Omimi observes the boys as well and then asks you for advice on how to better himself, to which you happily help him

when everyone is occupied with training, you siftly sing 'the lakes' by Taylor swift again, not noticing how after a while, one after the other stops training to hear your voice and well

they now know why you always usher them out

the hall echoes your voice wonderfully

When you're done, the whole team claps and cheers

Atsumu is asking you to sing a song for him

so are the others

Kita is looking at you with fondness because he finally got to hear your beautiful voice up close

Osamu has fallen in love with your voice, looking at you with big doe eyes and a slowly spreading blush and mouth slightly open as he still claps dryly in a daze

Aran and the others compliment your singing with great happiness to which you accept embarrassed

how could you forget that you were in a hall full of boys Y/n??

The second years want you to post your singing on social media

you decline, feeling down

"Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!?!??!"

"...i tried, guys..."

"Let us do the social media part, you just sing, okay?", Atsumu says, and you hesitantly agree to his antics

hi! can I ask for inarizaki manager headcanons where she’s a raging feminist? I don’t know why but the idea is on my mind lol, she’s very open to have debates and be political about it, and kind of scares some boys off for that, pls and thank u!

Now this sounds like fun 😎 let’s get to it cause I’ve been curious why I haven’t seen coed practices in the anime.

🦊 So our darling y/n is the hardworking manager of the Inarizaki boy’s volleyball club. She tried to be a player on the girls team but things didn’t work out so she settled for being the managers for the boys.

🦊 One day during practice she saw Akagi miraculously save a hard to reach to ball and decided to ask about it. Akagi was more than happy to explain how his mind basically shuts down and the only thing he can focus on is saving the ball. Poor Riseki in passing noticed Akagi explaining with visual aid and jokingly comments that y/n wouldn’t be able to do that because their physiques were too different.

🦊 Cue manager-chan sitting Riseki on his knees and explaining that it’s not completely impossible for her to do anything that any of the boys do. She gives examples of posing like Aram does when he’s spiking and imitating Kita’s stance when he serves. The lecture ends with Riseki on his knees apologizing and promising never to make that mistake again.

🦊 Fast forward a few days later and during a break in practice y/n is asking Atsumu for setting tips. Atsumu remembering Riseki’s lesson a few days back is correcting flaws in her form and choosing his words carefully for once.

🦊 At a training camp at another school she busied herself with regular manager duties when a few players from the opposing team decided to literally drop off their training bibs since they were done practicing for the day. All hell broke loose when she had three third years on their knees apologizing to not only her but also to their manager she suspected was undergoing the same treatment.

🦊 Regular protests to combine girls and boys practice were had in the coach’s office because y/n believe there shouldn’t be a separation in a game everyone can participate in. A few girls agreed and even helped with the cause because let’s face it who doesn’t want to practice with the boys but they were always denied. She tried getting Kita to help once but he ended up getting flustered by the captain of the girls team and waved the white flag.

🦊 Once outside of regular practice time Osamu had to save y/n from starting a school wide war with the entire male student body when she overheard the ending of a conversation of a new magical girls show and assumed the focus was about “ditzy” girls running around in bright colored shirts. Safe to say the only guys she is now friendly with are the boys in the club.

🦊 In conclusion manager-chan of Inarizaki high is busy helping her boys be better versions of themselves and ensuring women Inarizaki wide are treated with respect.

This was a lot of fun to do thanks for the brain rot my darling😌 I shall now be thinking of a way to elaborate on flustered Kita trying to flirt with captain of the girls volleyball team

HAIKYUU SEXUALITY HEADCANONS

🦉 Fukurodani Edition 🦉

Washio Tatsuki: Gay. When I first sat down and decided to give most of these characters a sexuality headcanon, I saw him and my first thought was "yeah there is no way he is into women." So I cannot for the life of me see him as anything other than a functional gay man. He definitely thinks Konoha and Akaashi are very pretty. Also thinks that Inarizaki's #2 middle blocker is very handsome.

Sarukui Yamoto: Bisexual with a female preference. I honestly really ship him with Shirofuku and I have no idea why. I just went "they are totally dating" one day and it's kind of just stuck. But I can also see him getting together with Komi or even just another boy (on his team or not) in general. He's a bit of a bi disaster sometimes but he's mostly functioning. Totally refers to Shirofuku as his wife later in their relationship.

Bokuto Koutarou: Pansexual. Now I know what you're all probably thinking. And I'm not gonna lie and say you aren't right, but you're only half right. I can see Bokuto having the ability to love someone SO much. He loves anyone and everyone. Obviously has a thing for Akaashi but also thinks Konoha is very pretty and handsome. Thought Shirofuku was very beautiful when he saw her for the first time. Total b(romance) with Kuroo.

Akaashi Keiji: Pansexual. I am quite unsure why I think this label fits him so well. Obviously he has an thing for Bokuto, but I can also see him falling in love with Ennoshita or Konoha. Thinks Suzumeda is very pretty as a female and could see himself dating her if he felt any attraction towards her. He's still a bit unsure of his identity, but he likes the label pansexual so he sticks with it despite what anyone else says.

Konoha Akinori: Bisexual with no preference. So I sort of saw him as gay when I first started making headcanon lists. Then I started seeing the potential of him with girls and decided he would be bisexual. Now he has had crushes on every single one of his teammates, cause he just loves easily like that, but Washio, Komi and Akaashi are the only ones still going strong. Thinks the managers are too pretty for this world. Also thinks that Kai is very very handsome and that he wouldn't mind kissing him–

Onaga Wataru: Panromantic Asexual. Now he gives me the vibe of a sex repulsed asexual. He's still a bit nervous about the label though because it's all very new to him. Romantically, I can see him be interested in everyone on the team at least once. Definitely nursed a puppy crush on Bokuto during his first few months as a first year. Thinks Akaashi is very pretty (like everyone else though for real). He thinks Washio is so goddamn handsome it is not even funny, like holy shit please praise his blocks more–

Komi Haruki: Pansexual. Can and will hit on anything that doesn't say no. He's always on the lookout for somebody to love. Has the tiniest little crush on Konoha. Appreciates the fact that both Washio and Bokuto can bench press him with those tree trunks they have for arms. Thinks Onaga is cute but like in a boyish way. Probably had a puppy crush on Suzumeda in their first year after he saw her giggle at something stupid Bokuto did.

Suzumeda Kaori: Straight Asexual. Now contrary to what the rest of the fandom headcanons her as, I just cannot see her crushing on any girls. I also see her as sex repulsed like Onaga, hence her joking with the team about how her and Onaga are the team's "real aces". She's very supportive of her teammates and will punch someone out if they give her team any trouble.

Shirofuku Yukie: Straight. Now I would be lying if I said shipping her with Sarukui had nothing to do with if, but similarly to Suzumeda I just cannot see her being interested in other girls at all. She's very comfortable with herself and her identity and is very supportive of the rest of the team. She does think Bokuto is cute, but in a "not attracted to you" kind of way. Probably dated a boy or two in junior high before Sarukui.
