Deadly Halloween
Manager Miniseries
─Aoba Josai x fem!reader
─Summary: It seems like you are in a nightmare, unfortunately it is not a bad dream but a reality.
─Warnings: none
13 < 14 > 15
Tumblr media
You ran across the highschool, desperate to get to the main gym where Seijo's Halloween party was currently being held. You screamed as you saw that thing try to catch your leg, with the bat you were holding you began to smash its head, desperate for it to die, although theoretically it already was.
Its blood splattered on your clothes, also staining your face, but you didn't care, when you got rid of it, you continued to the gym, closing the doors as quickly as you could, trying to regulate your breathing. No one noticed your presence or what was happening in the city because of the loud music that echoed from the speakers.
"Oh I thought you didn't want to come!"
Oikawa smiled brightly, grabbing you from the shoulder, dragging you over to the group, they were all dressed up so they didn't question why you had blood on your clothes and came with a bat full of nails.
"You look agitated, did something happen?"
Iwa frowned, seeing how your expressions were anything but normal.
"Yeah, it looks like you've seen a zombie!"
Makki patted your back hard, trying to make one of his jokes, however your face contorted when you heard that, zombies. Your mind wandered to the terror you had experienced a few minutes later, with eyes wide open and a face of anguish, your fists clenched tightly.
"Are you really okay?"
You snapped out of your daze when Watari's hand rested on your shoulder. You tried to smile at your friends, but couldn't. Your pulse trembled, letting go of the bat and holding on to the libero in a desesperate hug.
"They have died, e-everyone…"
Many thought that you were acting, that you were part of a Halloween story, but upon seeing your expressions and empty eyes... they swallowed dry. Nothing was invented, the city really was in a damn apocalypse, collapsed from those living dead.
"Th-that can't be! real"
Oikawa looked like he wanted to cry like a baby right there, as did Yahaba and Kindaichi. Watari, Matsukawa and Kunimi remained serious, trying to think of a plan, while Iwaizumi tried to calm Makki, who did not want to believe the truth.
"Then we kill them."
Everyone fell silent when they heard Kentaro, he had disappeared a few minutes ago and now he brought sports equipment that could be used as a weapon.
"Are you crazy?! There are too many!"
Yahaba shook him desperately, he didn't want to die there.
"It will be fine if we stay together."
Now everyone gasped at Iwaizumi's statement, they didn't expect the saner one to trust that idea.
"Okay, if we can block all the entrances, maybe we can wait for someone to come for us."
"What if no one comes?"
You took a look at Makki, who seemed the most nervous along with Kindaichi, you put a hand on his shoulder, squeezing hard and hitting them on the back of the head.
"I called when I was coming here, the authorities are aware of the problem and are mobilizing to get us out of here."
Your words were like a small ray of hope for the others, who nodded, listening attentively.
"Then, let's finish them off."
Kunimi declared, grabbing a paddle tennis racket. The others rushed to grab material that could serve as a weapon.
Tumblr media
You all acted normal in front of the others students while covering all the entrances or exits to the outside world, some zombies could already be seen entering the highschool, but no one should suspect anything and anyway, no one would believe you, so the music didn't turn down one bit.
Everyone continued enjoying, oblivious to the carnage that was happening on the other side of the doors. Until one of the students decided to leave, causing the dead that were piling up at the main entrance to burst in, causing total chaos. The screams were heard above the music, which at some point was cut off, now everything was a total chaos of students running, and trying not to be devoured by the monsters. You were ready to kick those beings' bony asses but someone stopped you.
"Sorry, Iwaizumi thinks it's better to run away for now than fight."
Matsukawa dragged you towards the others, who began to run throughout the premises looking for a safe place. They hid in the boiler room because it was in the basement and it would be more difficult to find them there, the areas they wanted to leave through were obstructed, they would prefer to lock themselves in there since it was less likely to find someone or something.
"Is anyone hurt?"
Watari took on the role of doctor, checking that everyone was in perfect condition, luckily there were only a few scratches here and there, but nothing serious. You rested for a while, but as time passed, impatience began to make an appearance.
"We must leave, if they catch us in this place we will have no place to flee, the other exits must have already been unclogged, it will be easier to get out now without all the chaos even though those things are still roaming freely out there…"
For once in his life Hanamaki used the only neurons he had left, if they continued in that place they would be easy prey due to lack of space now that many teenagers have probably become zombies too
"Yeah, we must be in a visible place for when they come for us."
Everyone nodded, running through the hallways toward your destination, the rooftop. Without noticing that the captain was limping a little, they didn't notice until a zombie started chasing you, followed by a few more. Advancing the step, Oikawa became desperate because of his annoyance, he ended up falling making a dull noise that only Iwaizumi and you heard since you were behind the group. The two of you gasped when you saw how four zombies were pounced on your friend. Without time to think, the boy in danger accepted his death in a dramatic way, feeling how blood splashed on his face. When he opened his eyes he met you, he smiled with teary eyes.
"Am I in heaven?" then his gaze went to his childhood friend "Wait, is it hell?"
The vice captain grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, dragging him while you hit him on the head with a frown.
"No, but if you continue like this I will send you to hell myself."
You caught up with the group quickly. When you finally reached the roof you sighed in relief, closing the door and scolding the setter, who practically almost committed suicide.
"Shit, that was close."
You calmed down a little, closing your eyes and recovering the lost air, you looked at everyone with a small smile, sighed heavily, standing up to hug everyone tightly, being grateful that they were still alive. You wouldn't allow anyone to touch your friends.
Suddenly a zombie came out of nowhere, surprising everyone and almost biting you, your eyes widened, leaving all static in surprise. You heard a dull thump after screams of agony that gradually fell silent. You turned your head slowly when you saw that thing decapitated by beatings.
"Are you okay?"
Kentaro scowled, spitting at the dead body and grabbing you so that you were next to him. They wouldn't let you die on this crazy day either.

A day off with Kunimi
Manager Miniseries
─Aoba Josai x fem!reader
─Summary: You're not in the mood for training and Kunimi seems to be on the same line of thought as you
─Warnings: none
12 < 13 > 14
Tumblr media
You were walking calmly to school, very sleepy, you almost fell or crashed on the street several times, it had not been a good choice to stay up late watching movies. You had no choice but to endure the morning, or that was what you had planned to do if it weren't for a certain first year boy, who was kicking a can with an ass face outside the gym.
"Where has Kunimi gone? Also why is (Nn) so late?"
Oikawa's voice echoed throughout the place, you and Kunimi could hear the team's confusion due to the silence at the entrance, both looked at each other without wanting to enter. Kunimi was the first to step forward, grabbing your hand to get out of there, trying not to let them hear the footsteps. A light laugh escaped your lips, thinking that you would no longer have to suffer being among a bunch of sweaty boys today, you mentally thanked your junior, tightening the grip on your clasped hands.
"I'm sorry for dragging you, I just figured you didn't feel like putting up with training today either."
"No, It's ok, I think I'll run away with you today."
He just nodded and you walked to a cafe near the high school, at your request, you were going to die of sleep if you didn't drink some caffeine immediately. When you left there you two decided to walk near the school, although finally ended up leaving, skipping a day wouldn't hurt.
"Where do you want to go?"
"Honestly, my house, but it's far away and I'm lazy."
You laughed at how sincere he was, then he thought that walking through a small market that wasn't that far away would be good, since you could entertain with the things they sold there. When you arrived, you tried on some oddly shaped glasses from a small stall, you forced Kunimi to put on the typical glasses with a fake mustache to take a photo.
He just sighed every time you stopped to look at any absurdity, like children's toys or flashy things. He only stopped when he was in front of a sweets stand, they sold a lot of different types, but he only noticed some in particular, salted caramels, they were his favorite. You noticed ir and smiled, buying several of those candies, sharing them with him, which at first he refused but then agreed to take some.
He had to hold your hand so you wouldn't get lost among so many people, he was getting tired of being there, especially because there was more and more crowd and it was becoming difficult to walk down the narrow street without crashing into someone. In fact, at the end of the street someone pushed you so hard that you even knocked Kunimi to the ground.
"Oh fu-, look where you're going, you idiot!" The lack of sleep mixed with the stress of all those people made you explode, but your focus was on Kunimi who was cleaning his pants "I'm sorry, someone pushed me, are you okay?"
"Don't worry, it hasn't been much different from when we have to do dives in training"
He feigned disinterest, even finding a funny point to the accident, you sighed at his attitude. You finished seeing things, deciding to stay in a park sitting next to a pond, watching the ducks fight to get a piece of bread that an old woman threw them.
"What a beautiful couple."
You two looked at the old lady, you had not realized that you were still holding hands and you separated immediately, causing the lady to laugh, after the embarrassing scene you left there, tyou had had enough.
"Okay, now I really want to go home, want to come?"
"Sure."
He wasn't going to stand walking from one place to another aimlessly anymore so you simply went to the boy's house, who just wanted to rest lying in his bed with some good blankets and a movie, even if you accompanied him it didn't bother him, at this point he just want to rest and do nothing.
He let out a contented sigh as he closed the door to his house, telling you where to leave your slippers while you got used to the hospitality of Kunimi's house. As you spent the morning walking around the market, you arrived just around lunchtime, although no one was home, and you had to improvise something, that is, you ordered something for delivery. While the food arrived, you started arguing about what movie to watch, because you are both iPad kids and you need to watch something while you eat.
"For the last time I'm not going to watch Barbie of Swan Lake or Meet the Robinsons."
"Kuni-"
"No."
"But-"
"No."
You sighed exhaustedly, thinking about other movies, a light bulb went off in your head, and you decided to play an old reliable, Home Alone. Kunimi brought a couple of blankets, at some point in the movie you were practically hugging. Halfway through the movie his mother burst in, mocking her son for bringing a girl home, commenting on what an adorable couple you made. Kunimi had to kick her out because his mother and you started talking about him when he was a baby, because she show you an old photo. The movies ─because you decided to see a couple more─ went by so fast that you didn't even realize that it was already quite late.
"Honey, why don't you offer my future daughter-in-law a stay over?"
Everyone there knew that this was not a question but a statement, rather, an order. You almost choked upon hearing her, even though she was just teasing you, you went on to join forces at dinner to embarrass Kunimi instead, that family album can be a real danger in your hands.
"Leave the door open Akira!"
He rolled his eyes as guided you to the bathroom, lending you a change of clothes so could sleep comfortably. You could only laugh, deciding that you had had enough for today, you threw onto the bed next to Kunimi to rest, staring at the ceiling in silence listening to the little sound that came from Kunimi's phone, the first yawn was the signal for you to decide to go to sleep once and for all, you raised your leg, hitting the boy's foot.
"Good night Kunimi."
"Night..."
You smiled as you closed your eyes, taking seconds to fall into your deepest dreams, hoping that today is not the day you start talking in your sleep. He looked at you for a few seconds before putting down the phone and turning off the light without wanting to stay up late, tomorrow it wouldn't be so easy to escape from training taking into account the number of ignored messages in the team's group chat.

Jealousy, jealousy | Oikawa T.
Hurt/comfort
Warnings: swearing
Synopsis: you become Seijoh’s manager after not being able to get into other clubs. After a while you start getting backlash by the milk bread lover’s fans.
Well that was no use.
Every club you had tried for either rejected you or was too cramped. So what now?
You walked around school during lunch. You didn't have many friends, yet the ones you did just so happened to be busy right now. As you were walking, you passed the gyms, more specifically the volleyball gyms. You applied for the female volleyball club but you turned in your application just a tad too late. As you passed the gym, you heard a voice.
“Damn, every one of them?” The first voice said. It was followed by another.
“Yeah. Kinda sucks man.” He replied.
“Man! Why does he have to make it so hard to find a genuine manager?”
“Unfortunately, he’s our captain. Also happens to be our best friend, Makki.”
“You’re right on that unfortunate part.”
You contemplated. Boys Volleyball manager? Doesn’t have a bad ring to it. It sounded hard to get in, but every other club had failed, so why not.
You walked into the teacher’s work room and located their coach, Irihata. You already knew of him from the volleyball team being so famous in the region.
“Uhm, excuse me.” You asked, “Where can I apply for the Boy’s Volleyball manager position?” He looked at you, slightly annoyed after what you said.
He crossed his arms, “Listen, we’re not really looking for any managers currently. We know you really like our setter but our manager needs to be serious in what they’re doing.”
You lifted your eyebrow in confusion, “Your setter being…”
He stopped for a second before answering you, “... Oikawa Toru…”
You paused to collect your thoughts, then it hit you, “Oh! Him! You mean that one guy who injured his knee a bit ago! Yeah I know of him. Never talked to him, but he seems to always have girls' company. I mean good for them, they know their type, but I’m good.”
He kind of stared at you, “Ah… well… I guess it wouldn’t hurt to let you apply. Can I ask if you have any experience with volleyball?” He questioned before reaching into his desk to grab you an application.
“Yes I do!” You said, “I’ve played for all 3 years of junior high. I tried applying for tryouts for the female team but I turned it in too late.” He handed you the application and you bid your goodbyes as lunch would be over soon.
It was the next day and as you got to school you strolled to the gym as the boys had morning practice. There weren’t any girls there since it was super early and you just wanted to turn your application in asap. As you opened the door, you caught sight of all the boys, focused on their playing. You heard a voice call out to you.”
“Ah, I was wondering when you’d show up!” You turned to the direction of the coach. “Got that application filled out?”
“You know I do!” You walked over to him. He looked at the papers you handed him.
“(L/N) (Y/N), hm.” He read your name. He continued to scan your paper, nodding his head every once and a while. “Well, I'd say you’d be a great fit. If you really do want to join, you’re welcome!”
“Really? That’d be great! When could I start?” You questioned. You were kind of excited. You finally got accepted. And for it being your final year in highschool, you were hoping it would work out.
“Well, I don’t see why you can’t start now.” He stated. He then raised his voice in the direction of the players. “Hey boys! Gather around!”
The boys stopped what they were doing and came crowding around. Their eyes tended to land on you, which caused a couple whispers here and there.
“This is (Y/N) (L/N). She’s now going to be your new manager.” He announced.
You took this as your sign to introduce yourself. “Yo.”
There were a couple murmurs of disbelief, and then one guy crying what you think were happy tears about it, until one guy started talking.
“Ah, are you sure you’re not one of my lovely fans who made her way to this spot?”
“No, not in a million years.” You shot back with no hesitation after looking him up and down. False tears ran down his eyes as his friends laughed.
“PFFFT- HA! Get rejected!” A boy with pinkish hair giggled out, His friend laughing right next to him.
Suddenly, there was a slight commotion at the gym doors. You went to inspect it when you got called out to.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you, it’s a mob out there.” A muscular guy said.
You contemplated, but finally moved your feet towards the door. As you opened it, you were met with many confused eyes.
“Uh, who are you?” One girl asks.
“(L/N), the team's manager. Who are you?” You replied nonchalantly. You were met with eyes of disbelief and jealousy. Then, all of the sudden, it was like a light bulb went off in all their heads.
“Hey, (L/N), you're in my Calc! You can let me in right!”
“Hey, You're so pretty. Let’s talk!”
“We sat together last year! We’re friends, let me in!”
You stared at them with a look of disdain. Then, you got an idea.
“What’s the password?”
They all paused.
“...What…”
“Wrong!” You interrupted.
“What password?”
“Incorrect!”
“Listen here you little-”
“Wrong again!” You cut her off. “Man you guys are really bad at this. Oh well, no Oikawa for you. Good day.” And you slammed the door shut.
You turned around to see the team, half in awe and the other half laughing their asses off.
“Oh my god…” One with short, messy black hair said between halfs, “This is great!”
Time skip -
It’s been 6 months since then and you’d become best friends with the 4 other third years. They saw you like their sister, like they’ve known you since forever. Well, most of them.
“(L/N), can you tell Mattsun he’s being an idiot!” A pink haired male shouts. It was lunch and the two were arguing over what color science was.
“Am no! It’s 100% blue!” He shouts back.
“Is not! It’s definitely yellow!” His best friend argues.
“I think you’re both being idiots.” You said with a straight face, “Also, it’s green dumbasses.”
They went back to quarreling as you took a bite out of your rice. Iwaizumi and Oikawa sat to your right as the two others sat to your left.
“Why do you fuel their stupid questions?” Asks the half filipino.
“It’s funny watching them fight over stupid shit. It fuels my entertainment.” You answered. You found it easy to stir the pot with the two.
“Yeah, but they’ve been talking about it for 10 minutes now…” The setter added.
“Okay, watch this.” You turned your head to Makki and Mattsun, “Centaurs have six legs, therefore are insects. Discuss.” The two began to discuss.
“Oh my god-” The setter looked in disbelief and amusement.
“Ima be right back, gonna grab a drink.” You stood up.
“Get me something!” The brunet said.
“Nope, get it yourself ya broke bitch.” You replied and walked off.
You turned the corner to the vending machine. You put your coins in and selected your choice of drink. As you knead down to grab it, a hand comes and takes it before you reach it. You look up to see a girl meet your stare.
“Well if it isn’t the little whore.” She speaks with venom.
This was the part you hated about being their manager, and it wasn’t even the boys fault, it was the girls. You have female friends, so you know it's not all girls, but there are some who are way too attached to the main setter.
“You’re one to talk.” You spit back.
You never told anyone about how these girls would treat you. You didn’t want to cause more commotion or possibly lose your position to problems being caused.
“Everyone knows you're just a manager to be close to the 3rd year. Especially Oikawa. You’re no different than the rest of us. The only difference is you’re actually hoeing around with them. It’d break their hearts to know you’re just using them” She stated. She acted like she knew all your business.
“Really? Cause it sounds to me like you're projecting what you’d do.” You replied. “And I’m not doing any of that. It’s so obvious we’re all just friends.”
Just friends. That’s all you were. Unfortunately, there is a false statement you made. After you thought it would never happen, you managed to gain a bit, just a tiny little bit of feelings for none other than Oikawa. It’s not like you wanted to, in fact that was your exact opposite intention, but that was your result.
“Yeah, sure. Whatever you tell yourself.” She looked at you with disgust. “You know, they probably feel bad for you. You had nowhere to go so they had no other choice. I mean, who’d want to hang out with an ugly nobody? Look at yourself. They’re just being nice. When the time comes, they’ll drop you within seconds. You’re helpless without them.” She took a sip of what was supposed to be your drink. What a bitch.
She walked off leaving you standing there. You didn't want to admit it, but sometimes people like her really get to you. You never showed it, but they did affect you. And you know what they say about just ignoring it? Yeah, pure bullshit. It never works. They’re no longer looking for a reaction, but a punching bag. Someone who will take their punches and not give anything back, coming back the next day to repeat the cycle.
You walked back to the group, no drink in hand.
“Hey, where's your drink?” Mattsun asked, his quarrel with Makki being finished with no answer since they ended up spiraling off topic, somehow getting to how Baby’sRus is a misleading name.
“Oh, they were out of what I wanted lol.” You told them. You lied to them about a lot of things. You felt bad, but it was always due to the treatment you received from the ever so glorious fan base.
Lunch soon ended and so did the day.
You were making your way to the boys gym when you had a thought.
‘Were they just being nice?’ You questioned. ‘No, they wouldn’t, I’m mean to them sometimes anyway. Mean. Maybe I take it too far sometimes. Maybe they are just being nice. They did want a manager, so this is their way of not complaining.’
You tended to overthink, but recently it’s developed worse than it’s usually been. Like a million thoughts running through your head yet you still can't figure out where the music is coming from and why it’s only playing the same 4 lines over and over again.
You saw the doors to the gym… and turned around. You headed home. They didn’t need you. Nobody did. Maybe they’re all right. You’re useless. Unworthy. Ugly. Words hurt like any other injury, but it’s something painkillers couldn't stop.
You walked the sidewalk alone for the first time since you joined their practice. It was quiet. You were going to miss the chaotic chats with them walking to eachothers house. Makki, Mattsun, Iwa, then finally, yours. Oikawa insisted that they’d go to your house first cause he ‘didnt want their precious manager being in danger’ which was sweet of him, but also kind of dumb since his house was closer to Iwa’s than yours. Over the course of the 5-ish minute walk to your house, the two of you had bonded nicely. Too bad you didn’t plan on going back. As much as you loved them, loved him, you worried it was all lies. Their words got to your head and they stung. Then they stayed, but you got used to the sensation.
You made it to your room and looked at your phone to find missed texts from the team. You picked Oikawa’s number to find 2 missed calls and 8 missed texts. Man this boy was insane. You texted back ‘Sorry, don’t feel good, carry on without me.’
Technically you didn’t lie. You really weren’t feeling good, just it was mental rather than physical. You laid on your bed, clutching a pillow as you put your blanket over you. Tears started to spill. You couldn’t take it anymore. You cried into your sheets until you slipped into sleep.
You didn’t go to school the next day. Or the next. You stayed in bed most of the time, occasionally going on your phone or to the bathroom. Other than that you were either numb, crying, or asleep. Every now and then you’d stare at yourself in the bathroom, insecurities rising as you cry out about your appearance. You maybe ate one meal within the 2 days you stayed home, but it’s mostly a blur.
It was the afternoon when someone intervened.
The one
The only
Oikawa Toru.
You were laying in your bed. You had just finished a breakdown, eyes still red. Out of nowhere, you hear someone running up the stairs. You thought for a second you were about to be a victim of a home invasion, being that your parents were home, but you were proven wrong when a tall, brown eyed male swung open the door.
“(L/N)! What’s wrong! Are you sick?” He questioned you. You’d been gone from school for 2 days now, making you absent for 4 practices. 3 after school, and 1 morning.
“Oikawa! Shouldn’t you be at practice right now? What are you doing?” You asked, thoroughly confused how he got in. wait- “How’d you get into my house?”
“Well when our manager is sick, who just so happens to be one of my best friends, I’m gonna see what's wrong.” He answered, taking short breaths making you figure he ran all the way here. “Also, I know where you keep your spare key.”
He looked around to see what state you were in. It had been evident you were crying, despite you trying to hide your face in the comfort of your pillows. He sighed and made his way over to your bed, sitting on the edge.
“Now, tell me what's bothering you?” He said, his voice becoming soft.
“Nothing, just don’t feel good. It’s no use wasting your time here.” You told him, hoping he’d leave. You didn't need his pity. Maybe you wanted it, but you turned it down thinking it was all an act, all lies.
“If you think I’m falling for a lame lie, you're wrong.” He sighed. “What’s going on?”
Oikawa, out of all the guys, knew you the best. There wasn’t a way he’d be convinced you’re okay. So… You spilled.
“Why do you keep me around?” You started, “Why do you care?”
“...What do you mean?” He asked, his worry growing.
“I mean, why me? Out of everyone, why do you guys hang out with me? I’m mean and useless. My management isn’t even good. If you're just being nice to spare my feelings then just leave me. I know my worth and it isn’t a lot. You guys deserve better.” You finished your mini rant with tears brimming at your eyes.
He stared at you with empathy. He hated seeing you like this, it hurt him so much.
“You’re amazing. In all you’ve done you’ve helped our team more than we ever dreamed. We finally found someone who’s dedicated to all she’s assigned to help us with. You know me. You know I’d never be fake with someone to spare their feelings.” He sighed. “I just wish… you’d see yourself the way I do…”
You felt terrible. Your crush sat there as you pathetically lied on your bed because of some emotions, or lack thereof.
“You don’t mean that.” You said, trying not to face him.
He laid down on your bed, right next to you as your back was turned in his direction.
“Have they been bothering you?” he interrogates.
“Who’s they?” You tried acting oblivious, but you both knew who ‘they’ were.
“You know exactly who.” He replied. You stayed silent. He sighed again, “I should’ve known. I'm so sorry.”
“Don’t apologize.” You cut him off, “It’s not your fault you're attractive.”
“Oh, so you think I’m attractive?” He remarks, trying to lighten up the mood.
“Oh shut up.” You giggle. It was the first time in a while you did that.
“What a shame. I wished the person I liked found me attractive.” He jokes. It took you a moment to process what he just said, then it hit you.
“Wait, what?” You questioned in disbelief.
“I know you said you’d never like me, not in a million years… but I can’t say the same for myself. It’s selfish but I really do like you.”
You turned around and stared at him. He stared back, but his mind was racing, taking your silence as rejection. Before he could get up, you grabbed at him and buried your head in his chest.
“Don't…” You started, “Don't leave. Please? I like you, too. I promise it didn’t start out this way but this is how it ended. I know now I look creepy but I didn't-”
He cut you off. Not with words, but with his lips. The warm sensations of his mouth on yours brought you a comfort like no other. Your hands wrapped around his neck, and he went around your waist, closing any gap there was between you two.
He broke the kiss, pulling away to stare at your beauty. “I get it. I’m glad you feel that way.”
“Can we… keep this a secret? Just the two of us?” If this got out, you’d be out for the count. Numerous rumors would start and people would start thinking that you were an actual whore.
Oikawa saw your mind race and put it to a stop, “Of course, I get it. We should tell the others about your situation. We’re here to protect you, you know. We love you. I love you.”
“... Love you too, Toru.” You said and he pulled back into the hug as you head rested on his neck/
“...So you do think I’m attractive.”
Small time skip -
After that night, you told the group what was happening and just like Oikawa said, they stepped in. The 4 of them became your personal bodyguards, not letting any known Oikawa fangirl try and say shit to you. After practices, you and Oikawa would walk to either you or his house to hang out and have little private dates. You were the happiest you’d ever been in a while. You slowly lost all thought of others' jealousy, enjoying your life with your best friends and lover.

this is my first time doing a Mexican Reader so bare with me here y’all
KARASUNO AND AOBA JOHSAI WITH A MEXICAN MANAGER
Pronouns: She/Her but for the most part You.
Mexican! Reader
KARASUNO
Tumblr media
The Karasuno team was not used to having 3 managers. Let alone a foreign one. Since you arrived from Mexico, you had introduced yourself to Tsukishima and Yamaguchi who had thankfully taken a liking to you. After a few months of getting used to the culture you saw that they were both apart of the Volleyball club. At that point you knew you just had to come and and check it out!
The first time you came wasn’t really much of a greeting. Yamaguchi had lended you his notes since you had been absent and you wanted to return them before the next day so you went to the gym and saw....well....boys. Lots of them. In a millisecond- all of their eyes were on you.
“Um...hi? I have this for Yamaguchi- where is he exactly?” You asked. You had seen some of these people around like the orange haired boy, and the black haired one as they were constantly together.
“Oh yeah he’s probably in the club room, I’ll go get him for you!” The grey haired boy said as he gave a concerning grin and ran off, leaving you with the collection of eyes watching your every move.
“So! You guys like volleyball...I do too! That’s cool” You beamed, trying to create conversation. The orange haired boy bounced over.
“YOU DO?! DO YOU PLAY?!” He asked excitedly, which made you feel a little relieved.
“No I don’t, but I used to watch all the time, I love the game.” You responded with a smile as he nodded his head in understanding.
“I’m Hinata Shoyo! I’m a middle blocker!” He grinned as he waited for the natural response to his position, but it never came. You just smiled and gave him a calm response. “Cool!”
Hinata felt himself feeling a little more shy. Maybe it was because you weren’t in disbelief or because he suddenly realized that you were a lot closer than he thought, but he shook it off and backed up as Yamaguchi came out of the club room.
“Hey y/n! Guys this is y/n! She transferred here a few months ago.” He explained as you gave them all a wave like you just came. Despite being there for 5 minutes. “Yo!”
Once you left Tanaka and Nishinoya felt their souls return to their body as they ran to Tadashi.
“YAMAGUCHI! YOU KNOW HER?! HOW?! IS SHE SINGLE?!”
“DID YOU SEE HER SMILE?! SHE’S SO BEAUTIFUL” They ranted, stars in their eyes as the green-haired boy chuckled just a little.
“She’s in me and Tsukishima’s class, pretty smart if you ask me.” He responded.
How you got in as a manager was a pretty simple task. Yachi was supposed to take over for Kiyoko but she found herself struggling with the technical parts of being a manager rather than interactions and moral. And that- is when you stepped in eager to help in any way possible. So you did.
The boys already liked you when you came into the gym the first time, I mean after getting Tsukishima to tolerate you it was simply a downhill battle and it’s not like anybody was against another manager as long as they got to play.
These guys were extremely protective of you. You were this foreign first year who oh so easily volunteered to take on the job of helping handeling these kids, how could they not love you?
And that protection lasted EVERYWHERE. Somebody flirts with you? Daichi already there. Somebody insults you or your food? Nishinoya already got their number and will be telling them it’s on sight.
The girls love you! The girls nights are weekly because where could you find people to complain about and laugh at the boys to in secret? You shared with them recipies for your Chicken with Mole, and they helped make you some one time. You made the rice while they tried a hand at making the Mole and while they...struggled...it came out good and it was the effort that they valued the most!
Now since you’re Mexican you ate what you were familiar with for the most part. It wasn’t that you didn’t like Japanese food, of course not! But while you lived in Japan you didn’t have your family with you and food was the only way you could stay connected. So in your way of melting together the two cultures you sometimes made things for the team, including the coaches!
The team won a game successfully? No injuries or mishaps? Horchatas for everybody at your house no hesitation. Hinata actually got double digits on his test? Give that boy some of Enchiladas of his choice asap! The team loved your cooking! And you enjoyed giving them a taste of your home, it was a special thing between you all!
Sometimes on your bad days you would struggle with being the person you usually were. You seemed quieter and more timid when giving advice in tips. You were quite frankly, hiding in a shell the whole time. So when that happened the first time, the team decided to do some team building! They took you to an arcade [despite you refusing multiple times] and you played games all day. Watching Tanaka try and convince you that he is an amazing dancer definitly brightened your day. And even if he made a fool out of himself he didn’t mind. His lovely manager was smiling, what more could he ask for?
Overall- they all like to have you around and don’t know what they would do without you. probably die.
AOBA JOHSAI
Tumblr media
Now with this team? It’s spoiling galore.
The first time they met you was when you were a second year transferring from Mexico and that already made you stand out from everybody else but that and the fact that you were somehow friends with Iwaizumi? Ohhh that set it off.
First off- you were a second year. Second off- not even Oikawa knew about you. What is happening?!
It turns out, you had met Iwaizumi because you lived near his family and on numerous occasions had asked him where everything was around here are as you walked to school together. You went to a separate place in the school when he went to go meet the team so you never met him until the night when Tooru slept over Hajime’s house and saw you knock on his door the next morning ready to walk.
Tooru opened the door cautiously wondering why you were outside his best-friends house in the uniform for their school. Wait- were you confessing? Did you find out his adresss and go to confess? He had to let you down easy- simple.
“Hi! I’m looking for Iwaizumi?” You said. You knew who this was you weren’t oblivious, but you had never met before so you had to introduce yourself.
“Look, I don’t know what you’re here for but Iwaizumi is not looking for a relationship right now because he is way to busy trying to pull up his trash gra- AH!” He squealed as Iwaizumi choked him by the back of his shirt.
“Shut up. Is it time already?” He asked you with a completely different tone than the one he had used with Tooru. Were you perhaps-dating?! After you nodded, Iwaizumi invited you inside while he got changed. Tooru started at you with wide eyes before walking over to you.
“So....are you and lwa-Chan secretly dating?!” He said as he got closer, with a wide grin on his face. You had known he was a character but he was really something right now.
“No?! Not at all actually I- I’m new? To Japan, I’ve been here for a few months and he’s been helping me figure out where everything is in this neighborhood.” You quickly explained hoping he would back up at least a little bit. It was as if he heard you and backed up.
“Oh- so what’s your name then pretty lady?” He said grinning. You were a little flustered and brushed it off to tell him. “That’s a beautiful name. Where you from then? If you’re new?” He asked and you explained you were from Mexico.
“Wow! I know a few words in Spanish!” He said as he recited the most basic words you had ever heard and somehow still goofed up the pronunciation. But he seemed so proud you almost couldn’t tell him he was wrong. But you did.
You became the manager because you seemed to be one of the only people Oikawa would listen to, because Iwaizumi listened to you. It was a cycle.
Once the team met you it was like love- at first sight~ You- this girl who has somehow made it so that people magically do what they’re supposed to do? Pls come immediately and shower these boys in affection.
They’re aggressively affectionate. Iwaizumi gives you headpats all the time for n o reason. None. We can all tell he favors you because even when you joke with Matsukawa about him and basically makes fun of you he’ll take it because your so nice.
You want a drink? Iwai will give you 10. Feeling a bit lonely? Matsukawa will give up his playful nature and give you a hug for as long as you’d like. Oikawa’s fangirls getting under your skin? Kunimi’s clearing that place out asap goodbye.
One time when the team was bumed out because they lost a match against Shiratorizawa, you made them all Horchatas and they were immediately like “...what is this ma’am” and you had to laugh, and they were all sitting so confused but smiling because your laugh was quite cute to them [loud or not] and you had to explain that it contained rice actually, as well as some nut milk and cinnamon [however you like them, they’d probably inhale it no matter what] and they enjoyed those things so much you brought them for every single last game until their last one.
One time, Kyotani actually asked if you could make him one for his birthday! He was so timid about it because he didn’t want to admit how much he liked it- but he was desperate. There was nothing worse than talking to people but you always seemed so nice to him, no matter how he reacted. So he asked. And you actually made him some as well as some Tacos de Papa that you had made the night before from Lunch. He graciously excepted and even listened as you explained how much you enjoyed making them because of the process and how you were happy he liked them. He even laughed and you two talked for a while that day.
Another time, you had been feeling homesick and you couldn’t take time off from the boys so you went to the practice anyways and everybody could visually tell you were out of it. You weren’t scolding them for misbehaving, and even let Kunimi leave early [he was going to leave either way] and in the end everybody was just worried. Who hurt you? Why were you so quiet? And WHERE were the drinks you had promised? A lot of questions were left unanswered because they immediately wanted to make you happier.
They decided they were just gonna talk to you. And they did. All of them- even Kyotani- sat and listened as you explained how you were feeling and it settled in for them that this is not your original home, and your family isn’t even here for you. It’s only natural you would get sad sometimes. So they forcefully sent Tooru off to get you a drink and all proceeded to abuse you with affection. It was hugs all over, people laying on your back, your legs, your side, everywhere. But you felt a bit better.
A new family is still a family. And these guys, were just that.
FIN
ok so im black im not Mexican so I was trying to look up foods and stuffs so tell me if I was like too much or gave off too little pls 😭 it feels so cringe to me idk, anyways thank you to @mrs-oikawa it won’t let me @ you but she submitted a request for this so I hope you enjoy! I only have eyes for you
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tanaka x Male Manager Reader
Genre: angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort
Summary: how can you compete with the pretty manager he clearly adores?
Warnings: Insecurities?
A/N: I finished this at 3:30 am, so don’t judge the ending, also, the average male height in japan is 1.60 cm?? so i made the reader shorter than Tanaka assuming the reader is Japanese, sorry if you’re taller than him!
Words: 2 k
Tumblr media
There she went, pretty as always, beauty so mesmerizing it managed to turn the heads of boys and girls alike. Black hair slightly falling into her face as she leaned to pick up the water bottles, gracefully as ever. You watched as she left quietly, disappearing from your vision as you continued with the net you were already setting up. She was mainly the reason you were here right now, having approached you after school, looking for a second manager for the volleyball team. You almost had a heart attack when you realized she was actually talking, to you of all people.
You ended up agreeing with her, considering that you had yet to find a club, and, yeah, even though you thought it was gonna be weird at first, managers stereotypically being girls but got used to it very quickly. Now your biggest problem with this came in the form of an overly excited bald boy who was not only in love with Kiyoko, but also probably straight.
And it’s not like the whole “same-gender” thing is a problem, you already had a questioning phase in your life that consisted of several awkward crushes and big realizations. Of course, some people knew, but you were not openly out yet, and the only person in the team that actually knew was Ennoshita, who was also your closest friend on the team, thanks, mostly, to shared classes. You couldn’t tell if he knew about your crush, but something about the looks he sent your way when Tanaka was teasing you told you he did.
Shaking out of your thoughts, you heard the rowdy first years arriving at the gym. After getting an actual coach and somehow getting a new manager, the team got bigger, and stronger along with that.
That was a problem. Well, no, it wasn’t, you enjoyed how alive the club had gotten with more members and all of that, but it made you feel more distant from everyone. You were the only male in the club who wasn’t playing volleyball and the only manager who wasn’t female, so naturally, it felt as if you were mostly watching from afar. It was always ‘the players’, ‘the cute managers’, and you.
Looking towards the team, you noticed most of them were already warming up, and everyone but Kiyoko and the second year pair was here. Sighing softly to yourself, you could already tell how things were gonna go. Nishinoya and Tanaka barging in behind your senior praising her like always, thanking Yachi for joining too, and making her talk and smile more.
“KIYOKO-SAN!!!” was heard from somewhere outside the gym, and you knew you were right in your assumption when she entered followed by the boys. Looking away, you decided to spare yourself and go get the manager notebooks and some towels for when they finish. You didn’t get very far, running into Yachi halfway there, books already in her hands, saying that Kiyoko got the towels.
“y/n-Kun, I was wondering if you'd let Yachi and I take notes for today? I want to make sure she learned how to do so last week.” Kiyoko asked as you entered the gym.
“Yeah, no problem,” you said, cause there really wasn’t anything else to say.
You looked around during the first break, gaze lingering over the tough boy that unknowingly had your heart. You can’t remember when you fell for him, but somewhere along the line, his loud, energetic personality somehow made you want to kiss him.
It's kinda funny, to talk about it like you didn’t know why you fell for him, not as it mattered anyway, as stated before, there is no way he could ever like you back.
And this is where that left you, looking longingly at him while he looked at someone else, someone who looks better than you ever will. That’s what you told yourself anyway, because, in reality, it hurt more knowing that you had no chance with him, to begin with.
So you did what you best know how to do, push them both away and hope your feelings disappear.
You walked away to spare yourself from watching him flirting and borderline worship her, you stopped hanging out with him as much, limiting interactions and avoiding him altogether. This, however, backfired, as you noticed that as much effort went into building a wall between your friendship, he put in twice as much to bring it down. Somewhat reluctantly, you accepted the fact that you might never be able to distance yourself enough from him to actually get over him, and his stubbornness and persistence to “save” your friendship only made your feelings act up.
Or so you thought.
...
To say you were surprised when someone after a match started flirting with you, a male volleyball player, at that, was an understatement. You felt your face heating up as his frame loomed over you in an attempt to be seductive, as flattered as you felt, being so new to the situation, your brain barely gave you time to react before there was a muscular back in front of you and a boy with a shaved head “protecting” you.
---
Now, Tanaka, despite being angry and rough around the edges, cared deeply about all his friends, and he couldn't, for the life of him, understand what he had done to push you away. He wasn't the only one that realized how averse you were to be around him and everyone on the team wondered what had he done to hurt you so much. Hell, he had spent more than one sleepless night wracking his brain thinking about what he did to be able to apologize properly, hitting nothing but dead-ends.
He never before has felt so absolutely horrible after the thought of losing someone as close as you were, he didn't even think about how important you were to him until recently and now his drive to spend more time with you turned into painful brooding over how your relationship looked like it wasn't going to last.
Rubbing his eyes, trying to dismiss the tears threatening to appear, he focused on the situation at hand.
The match against Kakugawa was harder than what they initially expected, but now it was over and done and all that was left was to wait for Kiyoko and Hinata to return. Turning around to Noya for a bit of distraction he noticed out of the corner of his eye the way someone was crowding you, eyes cast down and body slightly shifting.
He did not know what came over him, but suddenly the only thought in his mind was making him go away and bringing you back to safety next to him. Body acting on his own, he didn't even realize he moved until after coming between you two, body and mind on autopilot as he dragged you back to the group by the wrist.
Only after reaching the rest of the team, did he stop to look at you, small, disheveled, and faintly trembling, holding onto his arm. Your eyes met and his heart sped up.
“You okay? Y/N?” he asked, trying to play smooth.
“Why did- why did you do that?”
“Well, I couldn’t let our cutest manager be hit on like that!” he said as if it was the obvious answer, paying attention to the way your eyes widened and your breath stuttered.
Before you could say anything, Kiyoko and Hinata had returned with Hinata's bento box, meaning the end of your conversation.
you returned to your house that night with butterflies that didn’t seem to want to leave tasting bitter in your mouth as you wondered what had happened and hoped it meant more, knowing you were just feeding yourself with lies as you looked at your wrist where he had grabbed you.
Tanaka was doing no better, grabbing his head- at the lack of hair to pull- while tossing and turning, thoughts plagued with the way his stomach stirred when you were clinging to his arm earlier and how you fit next to him like matching puzzle pieces.
He didn’t understand exactly what it meant, Saeko had talked about the word ‘bisexual’ with him but he wasn’t really paying attention, he was more focused on his past stupidity. He had known for a while that he and Kiyoko might never work out, getting over her fairly quickly during his first year. His fawning nowadays was mostly to keep appearances and, don’t get him wrong, he still thought she was beautiful and amazing, it was more a matter of him no longer having romantic feelings towards her. Now it was as if he had gotten punched in the gut with feelings that he didn’t know were there, a crush that was a bit too big and no idea if it was mutual.
Without knowing who to turn to for help, seeing as Saeko had helped him figure his own stuff up, but hadn’t spent enough time around you to help him with that, he went to the only other people he could think of. And that's how the next afternoon Ennoshita was dragged to his house by Nishinoya and him, trying to avoid you after practice so that there were no suspicions nor hurt feelings.
Both of his friends, after yelling at him because “We thought you knew about your feelings??” Made him write you the neatest note he could, asking you to meet him after school the next day at ‘your usual spot’, which was just a tree that you guys sit under most days during lunchtime.
So, the following morning, you found yourself staring at a card that looked like it was written by a kid with how shaky the letters were, but had the unmistakable handwriting of a certain trouble-maker that left you tongue-tied.
Hours dragged by, and only after what must have been an eternity, were you able to almost run over to the tree, knowing there wasn’t much time left, the club leaving you barely with ten minutes.
You missed his arrival mostly because you were distracted by the letter, but refused to look up once you noticed him, fearing you might give away how nervous you were due to his proximity.
“Hey so, I- I kinda realized that, after being friends for a while, I might like you? As in, more than friends. I don't know why I'm telling you this, I don't even know if you like boys like that? Noya and Ennoshita kind of convinced me to do this out of the blue"
As shocked as you were from his words, which weren't really registering in your brain, the somersaults your heart was doing inside your chest urged you to give some sort of reaction.
“Well, I don't know, maybe if you feel a similar way we could, go out sometime? hopefully? I totally understand if you don't though, and I certainly would like to keep being friends either way, so, um, yeah."
Your heart melted upon seeing Tanaka's flushed face, hand rubbing his neck as he gently rocked back and forth, not being able to look at you properly. Thanking whatever god may be listening, in an outburst of excitement, you threw your arms around him in a hug, almost tackling him to the ground in the process.
“I always thought you liked Kiyoko,” you said, muffled from the place your head had taken, buried in his chest. You could feel his boisterous laugh enveloping you into such a safe space, you doubted you’d ever want to leave.
“I mean, I used to like her, but I don’t think I see her as anything other than a friend after all, plus, why would I like her when I have the cutest manager with me right now.” He said, placing a soft kiss on the forehead, that truly made you wonder how you could be so blind in the beginning as to not notice the oblivious volleyball player’s clear feelings towards you, but hey, at least you weren’t the only one.
