do u have any more fic recs? 🥺👉🏼👈🏼
Oh GOD anon, so many! I'm going to do Creek but it won't be comprehensive, as I've been reading Creek fics since I was 13 and so much has been deleted. If there was a specific ship you were interested in instead, please feel free to send another ask. Also, I love to talk fic and SP generally! Send me asks/dms whenever
This is quite long, but I’ve bolded and hyperlinked most author names and fic titles for easy access. I should note I was out of the fandom entirely from ~2010-2020 and my memories of that first time around reading fic are spotty at best. I will almost certainly add fics as I remember them, and will append those to the orphaned/misc. section at the bottom
- Just recently found AndThenIDied who has a zombie Creek fic from 2012 that is in progress and rly cool, Rotten (previously “He Likes His Rare”). Also ft. Bebe/Tweek friendship/zombie ass-kicking partnership. This writer also has a few oneshots, my faves being Lunch Break and It Had to Be You.
- apollos writes one of my favorite Tweek voices; the rhythm of his speech is perfect and the judicious use of exclamation pts rly effectively conveys the way he struggles to control his volume/outbursts. The multi-chapter Love in the Bodies of Elephants Too is my fave canon-compliant fic to tackle the “fake dating“ ambiguity trope that cropped up in the wake of TxC. It makes sense that Tweek would have everything but the acknowledgement from Craig that they are gay boyfriends deeply in love. It’s just rly heavy and beautiful and one of my all time faves. Also love oneshots Doctor’s Orders and Second Act Breakup (Third Act Makeup), and the devastating Swimmers in the Sea of Inevitability (one of my fave Creek angst fics). This author has a good deal of Style and Kendy too
- applecrumbledore’s Seven days of alien summer. I’ve rec’d this before and I’ll rec it again. Perfectly encapsulates that nostalgic small town vibe of early South Park (alien abductions certainly don’t hurt). Stan describes C+T as “easily two of the weirdest guys they knew. Craig was a science geek who smoked like a chimney and never smiled. Tweek was bratty, cynical and utterly charming; the worst thing about Tweek was Craig [...] They were inseparable in a way that was half deeply romantic and half Children of the Corn.” V refreshing to read a fic w/ Style and Creek where they aren’t excessively at odds (and one that reflects Stan + Kyle’s canonical preference for Tweek over Craig). Cartman is also so spot-on
This author has two orphaned Style-centric fics, neither of which contain explicit Creek, but I’m going to link them here bc the author confirmed these are their fics in AO3 comments and someone messaged me last time I mentioned knowing what they were: the amazing dirt wizard (the only time I’ve ever been into Cryle) and missed connections (contains side Kyman)
- Captain Dude (Handbag Murder) is an excellent writer and I recommend checking everything out. I conceive of Craig quite differently, but it’s hard to care when everything is so internally consistent and well-fleshed out. There are 3 recurring themes in the cap’n dude catalog to which I’m v drawn: the exquisite pain of unrequited love, not knowing where you stand, and dry humping. This author is also uniquely skilled at articulating that very teenaged phenomenon of having outsized romantic/sexual expectations and then finding the reality to be something else entirely, as in the multi-chapter fics Tinder Surprise and COSMIC ORDER, NATURAL LAW. My personal faves are unfinished multi-chapter The Ex and oneshots Joyrides through the second circle, Leave the Lights on: An irrational fear of the dark. (absolute fave!), ChaosTheory, This doesn’t constitute proof that blonds have more fun, and (UN)Speakable. PRISM (non-shippy, doomsday setting) is also great. These are all top Tweek/bottom Craig
- @cheylouwho has a lot of great Creek fics, my faves being Mine, Mine, Mine and the Pastor and Imp series. The former is a play on yandere Clyde, which was apparently a meme ~2014. I have questions about yandere Clyde but also instinctively love it. It’s as if the Cryde community came to life and was like I will k i l l that little blond bitch if u write one more uwu fic w/ him and my Craig!!! Linked the author’s tumblr acct above bc I’ve found her posts about SP fandom past informative. She also runs the South Park Fanart Archive tumblr
- Already rec’d Del’Mareve’s your princess is in another castle, which the author describes as “an AU in which everyone can kick some ass”, but I’ll rec it again and again for one of the most fascinating interpretations of Tweek I’ve read. His dialogue is so spot-on and I love that he’s sexually fluid. There are great Craig/Tweek fighting scenes, and their opposing moral outlooks come into conflict, which I always find compelling. This writer also has an interesting Tweekstophe oneshot Viens Avec Moi and a Bunny oneshot on that ff.net account
- Eerily writes so beautifully. My fave is The Gentle Sin, and I also love the unfinished multi-chapter Small Lifeforms. Also, Oculus??? Are you kidding me???? I have so many regrets at leaving the fandom when I did reading fics like Oculus. Name above links to the AO3 acct - here’s the ff.net acct
- Flynncantation’s unfinished multi-chap Down the Rabbit Hole, a mysterious fic w/ a non-linear narrative and supernatural elements. It’s quite different as Tweek has so much going on in his life that has nothing to do with Craig, that Craig can’t necessarily help him with, and that may even preclude Craig being in his life. I recommend checking everything else out too. I particularly love oneshots Kicking In ft. nasty bottom slut Craig, Step On My Heart (I Like It) ft. Pete Thelman POV, Dick Sucker Tucker, Drag Me Away, Double Bluff, and Along Came Earth.
- gremlinteeth’s Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space - fic where Craig and Tweek never speak after their fight in T vs C. Lots of violent homophobia, but it helps bridge the gap between old South Park and new in a way. The Tucker family vibe is so homey and sad and divorced, and I love this Laura Tucker. There’s no real smut, but the sexual tension is amazing. Craig is so in love with Tweek, and absolutely terrified of all that entails. Contains the best depressed alcoholic Stan and subverts a lot of tired SP high school fanfic tropes all around
- @guineasaurusrex‘s ongoing multi-chapter What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve? - a unique and beautiful reinterpretation of the fake dating trope w/in a never-met college AU setting. Contains the most realistic depiction of Tweek’s parents’ emotional abuse I’ve read. The abuse isn’t dramatized; it’s actually quite a funny fic that just happens to capture that aspect of Tweek’s life like no other. As w/ gremlinteeth’s fic above, I didn’t even notice the lack of smut bc the chemistry between Craig and Tweek is so palpable. Above all, I love how easily Tweek sees through the front Craig puts up that has everyone else fooled, but doesn’t at all realize Craig isn’t used to being seen that way. I love Craig’s vulnerability tbh; it’s one of the most beautiful things ppl zero in on in the Creek dynamic imo, when Tweek can see parts of Craig no one else can.
I also rec the two other guineasaurusrex fics on AO3 - the hilarious two-shot Signs Point to Yes, and the unfinished multi-chapter Plain Sight, also v funny and different
- No one particularly needs me to rec hollycomb. If you’ve ever searched the SP ff.net or AO3 archives and sorted by kudos/faves, you know about hollycomb (as well you should)! Her style is so distinctive that, reading her fics now, I know for sure I read them as a teen despite memory loss from that time. Style was usually her focus, but I recently found two Creek oneshots on her livejournal I don’t think I’d read before: Fight or Flight and Instinct and Innovation. In addition to the oneshots themselves, I rly enjoyed her replies in the comments as I’ve been reflecting lately on the drastic power imbalance common in the Creek dynamic of the mid-late 00s. She mentions in one comment conceiving of the Craig and Tweek relationship as a sort of naturally occurring D/s dynamic
The main reason I read Style/K2 was that I’d get sick of the one-sided nature of the Craig/Tweek relationship as it was commonly written in the mid-late 00s. In a good chunk of these fics, there would be little to no attempt to establish what, if anything, Craig might get out of being w/ Tweek. I appreciate these hollycomb oneshots, her Style-centric Leave the Pieces, and I Came a Long Way to See You by @skrtomg for actually delving into Craig’s motivations for wanting to be with Tweek. All four paint a compelling picture of a dominant asshole Craig who needs sweet pathetic bb Tweek just as badly as Tweek needs him. He needs to be needed, for someone to think him strong and capable. The SekritOMG fic goes the extra length of giving Tweek a diagnosis that accounts for his extreme dependence on others, and it becomes apparent that Stan and Kyle understand little about the inner workings of Craig and Tweek’s D/s relationship, just as Craig doesn’t see any appeal in their normie vanilla domesticity (also just rly love the bit where Kyle conspicuously checks out Craig’s dick and probably balls. Good for him tbh).
My fave hollycomb Craig is film hipster virgin Craig in Other People’s Tupperware. This fic feels like a glimpse into a version of Craig that doesn’t have a Tweek to make him feel strong and sane in relation to. The nature of that sort of dynamic is articulated more explicitly in hollycomb’s That Was Now and This is Then from Token’s perspective: “Tweek is supposed to be the needy one, but that's why Craig loves the kid and built this whole dysfunctional empire around him: Tweek is Craig's emotional scapegoat. He freaks out so that Craig doesn't have to.“ Kink Meme chapter This Means War also contains some reference to the Creek dynamic w/in the broader context of CATG vs the main four (Stan joking that CATG “were twisted versions of their own group”). I def recommend checking these fics out, particularly if you’re interested in seeing imo the best iterations of this particular Creek dynamic that was popular over a decade ago, and remains influential to this day.
- IDRC’s The Ring. This is the most himbo Craig I’ve ever read and I love the way Tweek is imagined as a young adult here. He has serious trust issues and a dramatic little story about Craig from when they were kids, but it plays out in a way I found v realistic. Also, Boxer Tweek! Boxer Craig! Angry fighty sexual tension and lots of drunk/himbo sex
@ladyfeldspar is a long-time Creek fic writer I’m positive I read back in the day. My fave is oneshot Crushed bc it portrays Craig pretty typically for that time (Tricia calls him a f*ckboy in TFBW for a reason!), but Tweek is more forward than was the norm for ‘08. The only fic I can recall to make the point that Craig’s reasons for liking Thomas are a terrible basis for a relationship. I rec checking out this author’s catalog; the ongoing multi-chap Wrong Number has a v different Craig than in the above oneshot. Every update, my desire to head on down to the self-esteem store and pick some up for me and Craig increases exponentially. Once I find out where it is, it’s over for you hoes 😔
LWTIS oneshot To All The Demons Under My Bed for a light-hearted imp Tweek/reggo Craig oneshot. I just think this is a v well-characterized Craig. Alien fic The Importance of A Well Maintained Spreadsheet (And A Good Label Gun) is also cute
- mareepysheepy's unfinished multi-chapter From Ashes. Many imp Tweek/pastor Craig fics portray the dynamic as Tweek maliciously tempting Craig into breaking his vow of celibacy. This is different, and at the same time the version of that that makes the most sense to me going off of their usual personalities in canon. The past Cromas dynamic is also unique, far more fleshed-out than most, and I stayed up all night reading this the first time. Love all this writer’s fics, esp oneshots Right Message, Poor Delivery, A Canopy Dotted With Stars, Family is What You Make of It, and Along Came A Spaceman, the Craig POV counterpart to Flynncantation’s Along Came Earth linked above
Quite like Mattycakes’ Meth Baby, Tweek Hated Parties, and Love Bites, among others
- I've already rec'd metrophobic's Tweeker Nation at least twice, but I love the whole metrophobic oeuvre. Metrophobic writes my absolute fave Tweek and Craig voices. They’re both such weird nasty little sluts and so sickeningly in love. I often find myself rereading Empty Spaces which is based on an old kink meme prompt about spanking Tweek to orgasm. I like how metrophobic's Creek sexual dynamic developed after this one, as Tweek is a classic sub/bottom in this, and I hc him as at least a bratty sub (he just runs his mouth way too much not to be, but that is a somewhat newer development). But as someone who was shipping Creek back when their fanon dynamic was largely extremely imbalanced, it's wild to read something that slots Tweek into a trad sub role, but fully articulates the way the sub is always ultimately in control. He also has his own life outside Craig in a way that subverts the older common Creek dynamic where Tweek is just some Craig hanger-on. I find this piece to be a fascinating and nuanced bridge b/w old and new Creek dynamics (also hot). Other faves: Grown-Up Abduction Isn’t Funny Either, The Right Time (“I dunno if I can say it again yet,” Craig replied. “That took a lot out of me.” - Craig after saying ‘I love you’ for the first time T~T), this take on imp Tweek/pastor Craig, Little Glass Flowers, Poor Baby, Solicited Dickpics, and Certified Organic.
If a fic writer can sell me on a character or ship I didn't gaf about previously, I think they got somethin' special, and metrophobic got me on Clenny in Guts and Pumpkin and Honey Bunny
- PBJellie similarly got me caring about Butters and Pip in a way I just hadn't previously in fics. There’s no attempt to elide their flaws or make them any less annoying, and they’re all the more human and engaging (and, quite frankly, themselves) for it. The characterization is always on point for a wide range of SP characters, and the setting feels like SP in all its sleazy glory. Interesting Pip/Tweek dynamics in Collectively Unconsciously Composed and in Oats We Sow (both A/B/O multi-chap fics), as well as in A Tale of Two Roommates ft. obnoxious bratty grad student Tweek.
Other faves: Strictly Business, Laundry Day, Going Going Gone, humor oneshots Craig Tucker Hates Green Beans and The Noirette
- As w/ hollycomb, I probably don’t have to tell you about Qindarka’s Aisle 10 (it’s the most favorited fic in SP on ff.net), but I’d never read it til last year, having left the fandom right before it was first published. It’s amazing. Tweek is his own, fully fleshed-out human being, rather than a spare appendage of Craig’s, and he knows it! This little speech of his always blows me away:
“No, you never care. About anything. Least of all about me. You’re just curious, because I’m this weird twitchy kid that steals sh!t, am I right? Am I interesting, Craig? Am I adorable? Wanna make a movie about me?”
He’s the anti-manic pixie dream boy, and it’s so good. It honestly feels like they lifted sassy Tricia directly from this fic when they finally gave her lines in The Fractured but Whole (and after reading cheylouwho’s post about former fans going on to work on the show, I’m not so sure it’s out of the question). I also really like this unfinished short fic by the same author: decent fiction
-rachhell has excellent fics w/ a more traditionally dominant Tweek, including Out of The Woods, drabble collection little sins, We Might Be Exactly Like We Were, tons of Creek in this 2017 Kinktober collection, and the extremely painful degausser. That last one hurt my feelings and made me hate deploying gizmo Ike in phone destroyer lmao. Exquisite angst
- Sun_Sparks‘ everything is fantastic, esp the cute multi-chapter Practice and Execution, sexy oneshot Mr Right Now (ft. top Tweek), and I really love A School Reunion which looks to be abandoned, but has a really funny & fun drunk Stan
- @tlinrookie‘s ongoing multi-chapter This Must Be the Place and oneshot The Block which seems to be set in the same verse. I love the Kenny/Tweek friendship dynamic in the former and overall how well this author depicts intimacy. There’s so much palpable love and warmth in the sex scenes. Countdown is another fave and I suggest checking out the whole catalog
- towards‘ fics delve deeply into Tweek’s meth addiction and mental health problems. My fave is the short but powerful oneshot All good things. This is another of my top Creek angst fics
- tweeksqueak‘s Hale-Bopp is so good and weird. I love aliens in SP fanfic
- I love @wintergrew‘s SoT trilogy The Thief (in progress rn), but my fave is the recently completed Kill All Your Friends. I never even had an MCR or vamp kid phase. It was just really good. Recent oneshot Storms is also excellent. I really admire how well this author does a kind of ensemble cast of characters
- Wiw has some great Creek fics, my faves being oneshots How To Not Manage a Store and Drillenisse
Orphaned/miscellaneous fics I love:
- non-con pastor Craig/imp Tweek oneshot Head’s A Crying Wasteland
- hilarious oneshot Boyfriends Close-Up with a Wide twAngle Lens Wearing Hats
multi-chapter unfinished You’re the Blood, I’m the Seed - past non-con & CSA - very heavy, but well worth it, as it is a fascinating and well-written and -characterized fic
- Talk Like Crab, Taste Like People - Tweek was adopted by crab people, like what more do you even need to know
- alright alright has 8 works w/ Craig and Tweek that are locked, but worth checking out if you have an AO3 account
- unfinished multi-chap Underground by leopharry is also locked, but I love this Craig. he feels v on the spectrum to me in a realistic way. boxer Tweek!
- demonhunter Tweek/reggo Craig oneshot spirits in my head and they won’t go
- oneshot do you like fish sticks by VagabondDiesel - not remotely shippy, but I love a psych ward setting and T+C both v well-characterized
sunflower yellow doesn’t even begin to describe you by xShieru
Intoxicated by IvoryWhiskers - from 2006!
shake off your flesh. by murkmurks - v different imp Tweek interpretation w/in a fascinating old south inspired setting
Parental Supervision by Enisy - Craig brings home a girl and Thomas Tucker is v confused
Monotony and Rhythm by X180
Feeling Strange and Looking Rotten (and also everything) by scarlettshazam
Overrated by Kafrazel
edit: ppl/fics I couldn’t find at the time/forgot due to brain of swiss cheese
- @thelotusflowers‘ whole body of work - my faves include gently (have read this like 5 times), The Short Film, how do you know if u r gay, and her amazing collab with @lexis-grey Glad You Came! Here is lotus’s AO3 - she also has much Cryle and Stenny
- the aforementioned LexisGrey and her wonderful fic Claws and Guns - it contains catboy Craig, so stop what you’re doing right now and go read it! - as well as her unique fake dating fic Fake it till you make it, and sweet soulmate AU oneshot The Symbol of Love
- @cityoffireflies writes a fantastic feisty Tweek and I recommend checking out everything, but my faves so far are the Two lives intertwined series, cute oneshot Dunk, rife-with-sexual-tension oneshot 7 Minutes in Heaven, and the fabulous slutty revenge Tweek fic that got me screaming in this author’s comment section, What If. The Tweek rarepairs, and Twomas, and other Thomas ships, and miscellaneous beloved blond boys from one-off episodes have never been better loved and cared for than in this author’s fics, and it’s a beautiful thing
damn expensive eggs - my fave fic is looseleaf and liquid fiction, also has a few fics w/ trans guy Tweek. I rec checking it all out
ripped open by 8inthemourning
rly love Out of This World (Babe) and this Creek Tumblr Prompts collection by scribespirare
cocoacremeandgays’ Three Sides series (quite dense w/ heavy subjects) and beautiful oneshot The Black '81 Ford Thunderbird
@hagspice‘s everything, including Your Mileage May Vary ft hot twunky baker Tweek, Let Me Entertain You, Impure Thoughts, and wonderful oneshot High Voltage ft. Craig bottoming for the first time
@otherluces‘ awesome band au fic He’s With the Band - also loved The Best Man. Please check out all the Luces fics - there’s beautiful Clenny 😭 Twoken fic w/ bg Creek Maybe This Time may be my fave
@alice-intheunderworld‘s The Bitch is Back - ghost Kenny, ghost Kenny!!! - (co-written with @jewboy-kahl, whose Head Over Heels I also loved), stoned CATG oneshot I’d Be Your Next Choice, Right?, and v cute flirty tattoo artist Tweek in oneshot Rocket Man('s Ass) - AO3 acct here
Plasma_gore(FanFictionIsMyWeakness) - I Want It To Hurt A Lot, Actually (amazing HS fic with unique, well-grounded characterizations. It feels extremely authentic to the high school/young adult experience, and is also the first time I’ve ever been like ‘Yeah, alright!’ about Staig, which is a side ship), as well as the sequel After Thunder Comes Rain (Please Don’t Let This Hurt Anymore.), and wonderfully filthy smut oneshot Sexcapades
the un-titled series by Aquaphobe - unresolved is the main work in the series and seems to be ongoing. A lot of deep, well-fleshed out Thomas going on here which I am always here for, and I love the way that trope where Thomas is kind of a device to cause jealousy in Tweek is given real grounding. Fascinating stuff going on w/ Kenny’s deaths and the unreliable narration as well
Really love Slowly, Thru a Vector (past ref’d CSA/non-con), and cute and funny oneshot tweek doesn't wanna make some real motherfucking money by Tweekpuncher
DoAsIWill has the great long multi-chapter The Roommate, but my fave is The Strength of Suction ft. Goth Tweek!
zombie fic Destroyer by sadboys. Was also v intrigued by As if I’d tell you. feel like these Tweeks are uniquely well-fleshed out and autonomous in so few words
Craig’s New Car by Pinkclip (also a great Kyle solo oneshot on there)
@englishknightsky’s sweet and cozy sickfic Get Well Soon, among other oneshots
UrsaMajorStories - love The Gods Watched Over us for a unique take on Incan Craig/explorer Tweek, as well as the locked hypnosis (!!!) smut fic Mesmerize Me
Shared Psychosis - interesting take on another character becoming aware of Kenny’s deaths, also ft. BPD Kenny and psych ward setting which I love

The Foxes as demigods, presented to you by a greek mythology enthusiast.
Who also happens to be Greek.
Okay, I'm sure there are are many Greek mythology geeks or Percy Jackson fans in the AFTG fandom so here is my opinion over whose children would the foxes be (it makes no sense with their canonical parents but who cares?)
Neil Josten -> Neil is a son of Mars. Many might disagree but hear me out, it would make sense. Unlike Ares, the god of war's Roma persona Mars was the god of military power, not just war, which also includes not only bloodlust and an appeal to conflict, but strategic knowledge. You can't convince me that Neil Josten wouldn't want to run away from this legacy like he wants to run away from his father's legacy. But it is in his blood (which results in the wonderful roasts). Plus, Mars would be appealed and enticed by someone like Mary to begin with.
Kevin Day -> Kevin is the son of Athena. Athena is the Goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice: things someone would not usually attribute to Kevin, but he actually does take after her. She is also Goddess of crafts, and skill, and if there is anything Kevin values the most, it's skill. She is known most specifically for her strategic skill in warfare. Kevin is a known strategist when it comes to playing Exy.
The Minyard Twins -> This one is a bit tricky, because ideally, the two of them would not have the same godly parent but they are twins so we cannot separate them. I think (and this will be an unpopular opinion but hear me out) that Andrew and Aaron are sons of Apollo. And tbh, I'm tired of the stereotype that sons of Apollo are all sunshine uwu children. Aaron got his father's gift in healing, while Andrew got his blatant honesty, as well as a prophetic gift and the gift of delivering the most poetic lines.
Nicky Hemmick -> Nicky is the son Hermes. Hermes was the God of trade, wealth, luck, fertility, animal husbandry, sleep, language, thieves, and travel. He is the most mischievous of the Olympian gods, and a protector of those who lost their way - usually during travels. Likewise, Nicky took in his brothers from their lost path while never losing his flair for the dramatic. He also loves spilling the tea and that's honestly all Hermes is about.
Matt Boyd -> Matt is the son of Zeus. Zeus is known for being wise, fair, just and merciful but also easily angered. Those are basically all things Matt is, but unlike his father, Matt is loyal to our best girl Dan.
Dan Wilds -> Dan is the daughter of the Roman Goddess Bellona. Bellona is the Roman goddess of war, destruction and devastation. She is an important goddess to the Romans, as she also controls the policy of foreign warfare. As a Captain with lots of bite in her, I think Dan takes a lot after her mother, who is often considered a Roman equivalent of Athena.
Allison Reynolds -> Allison is daughter of Aphrodite. Aphrodite is the Olympian goddess of love, beauty and sexual pleasure. While her mother is often consider the weakest of the Gods, some forget she is the eldest of them all and that love is a very powerful weapon. Also, Allison will snap your jaw if you call her weak.
Bonus: Seth Gordon, son of Ares. I don't think I need to enlighten and I find it funny how a daughter of Aphrodite and a son of Ares would get together.
Renee Walker -> She doesn't have a godly parent but Artemis recruited her in her Hunters. The Hunters of Artemis are maidens who have sworn loyalty to Artemis to join her in the Hunt and reject love for men for as long as they live. They gain eternal youth as long as they don't break their vows. Homosexual aromantic Renee would have the time of her life.

CLASS OF THE TITANS (2005-2008) | REVIEW
so here’s a show that I used to watch as a child but couldn’t actually remember almost a decade later! then i discovered that it was about greek mythology and i knew i had to watch it again, and it is soooo worth it.
OVERVIEW:  The descendants of Achilles, Artemis, Hercules, Jason, Narcissus, Odysseus, and Theseus are summoned to New Olympia on a mission to save the world from Cronus, who wants revenge after escaping from 4,000-years imprisonment.
RATING: 8/10. the show is honestly actually quite accurate to a point,, and i actually learnt new things about greek mythology from watching. there’s a lot of thought put into the storyline, and it’s really great to see.
AVAILABLE ON: youtube (Retro Rerun has all 52 episodes)
NOTE: there is an unaired alternative ending you can watch here. skip to 3:50.
THINGS I LIKED:
- greek myth au where Pan is a DJ who goes by the name of “DJ Panic” and uses his music to make plants grow wildly and kill off the human race >:D
- literal dad Apollo with a full belly and beard???? what a hottie
- EVIL CRONUS!!! what a great villain!!!!! he has everything you could ever want in a villain:
evil smile, evil laugh, evil motivations, wears black 24/7, follows a red/black/grey/white colour theme, is tall, says “ta-ta” and waves like a posh british person, says the line “come to daddy” when referring to a monster, grins a lot, wicked eyebrows, black hair with a lethal streak of grey, sharp cheekbones, is polite in a condescending way, mocks people, has cool scythe weapons, hires dumb henchmen.
- Hephaestus where he isn’t dumb or bullied by the other olympians!!!! he’s smart and a little feisty, and he has a special boot for his leg!!! he’s probably actually one of the most essential gods in the story!
- Zeus is not portrayed as a playboy.. if you want King Zeus, Leader of the Greek gods and Pursuer of Justice- this is the show for you <3
- Hermes being a dad and scolding his son, while also being proud of what a great thief he is (this is about Autolycus)
- using the version of the Arachne myth where Athena curses Arachne because she was pissed at how good Arachne was. i do think that Athena must have been a little bit vain as demonstrated in Paris’ myth AND the Arachne myth so i’m glad they chose this version. however, Athena acknowledges that perhaps she was unjust, and Arachne acknowledges that she shouldn’t have been so egotistical about it- and they make up, and Arachne is turned back into a human <3
- Hera’s battle armour transformation
- Orion and Artemis T-T Orion’s transformation from the sky was very awesome and creative,, and it was very touching how he and Artemis made-up <3
- awesome story line!! it’s very well written, and it explores so many different aspects of greek mythology- some stuff i hadn’t even heard of until i researched further!
- makes mythology easier for children to understand, without dumbing it down too much. Cronus even refers to Hera, Poseidon AND Zeus as his children, despite Hera and Zeus being married- but it’s done so that it doesn’t sound weird, which is an incredibly brave decision for a kids’ show
- portraying the descendants of the heroes as being of various cultures- this is something soooo tricky to do i feel, and so many people do it in a way that completely erases the fact that greek mythology is GREEK! here, the greek gods themselves are still greek, and the main protagonist (Jay) is also Greek,, but they make it completely plausible that since thousands of years have passed, the Greek hero bloodlines have mixed with other cultures and thus their descendants are of other cultures besides Greek. i thought this was a very clever way of having diversity without it being at the expense of authenticity.
- the soundtrack was pretty cool i thought, and the animation very smooth
- classifying Narcissus as a “hero”.. idk,, i just thought it was a funny idea and Neil’s power being “luck” was hilarious
- everytime Jay said “Cronus!”
- if you like the HC that Poseidon has no idea how to swim due to him taking advantage of his ability to control the sea, then there is a scene towards the end of this show where Poseidon is literally drowning due to the fact that he doesn’t know how to swim T-T
- the ending!!!!!!!! aghhhh Cronus ur the baddest of them all King <3 really wish there was a season 3, but at the same time, it was a good place to stop.
- Herry’s grandma whacking Cronus. get his ass Queen!
THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:
- i guess rewatching as an older person, i never realised how misogynistic some of Archie’s lines were.. like, i love Archie as a character- but some of his lines, especially those concerning Atalanta, were so possessive and weird and it’s odd because none of the other characters are like that.
- not something that i didn’t like per say, but i kinda thought from the first few episodes that it was Jay and Atalanta that would be together, but then Theresa came and it became Archie and Atalanta (punks stick together) and Theresa and Jay (good kids/leaders stick together) which was a little stereotypical i guess,, just something i observed
- alternative ending- i HATE the way Jay’s finger just kinda,, “wiggles” at the end like he’s still kinda alive after a piano has been dropped on him T-T
- Odie complaining every two episodes about how he’s “underrated” and “unappreciated” just because he’s the nerd character. the geeks on the team are literally so essential to the team’s success,, like the team would literally die without them and i’m a little sick of the trope where the nerd throws a temper tantrum because they’re the “weak link”... STOP IT! i want to see the nerd being on equal footing with the team, and understanding that they are just as valuable as the brawns of the team.
- Daedalus’ android counterpart was actually insanely freaky,, as was Cronus’ robot version, especially when it’s skin started to melt off in the fire :0
- Artemis being one of the 7 “original” heroes... Atalanta was literally right there?? also Hippolyta? Penthesilea? idk,,, odd decision.

So, I just finished Tower of Nero and I have a lot of thoughts about it
Estelle has Percy’s sea-green eyes and silver hair?! lol why
okay but, Estelle for President, I love her
Apollo crying in the shower bc Sally and Paul are so kind to him? yeah, I cried too, why does kindness makes me so emotional??
Nico remains true to himself with that black skeletal pegasus camp shirt, good for him
Cried the second time when Nico ran away bc of Jason, give my boy a break!
Will has a sun tattoo on his chest, just for your information, oh and also William Andrew Solace
someone(Apollo) finally acknowledges how resilient Nico is! yes he’s an emo kid but he’s not weak
Rachel is as awesome as usual, Art can be made again. People can’t.
Will is a Star Wars geek! i knew he was a nerd, Nico and him had to have a least one thing in common
wait, Will can actually glow?? i thought this would be too cliche lmao
Friends, meet my glow-in-the-dark boyfriend
Nero: Where was I? Apollo: The villain monologue. Exactly my thought lmao
double amputation in a children’s book? sure, why not(okay, i think we can agree that ToA is more grown up than PJO and HoO)
i really loved Meg’s and Apollo’s character development, Apollo did learn his lessons and Meg is finally free from Nero, also their friendship is precious
RIP Arrow of Dodona(i kinda knew you wouldn’t make it)
yey, Hera redemption arc! kinda?
wow, Zeus really doesn’t care about Jason, worst Dad ever
Reunions
Rachel she’s going to Paris to study art, I’m so happy for her!
Solangelo a new prophecy, so there’s maybe a Nico stand alone story?! I’d rather read about that Paris date, but it looks like they’re going to rescue Bob from Tartarus, sigh those demigods can never catch a break, huh
Reyna and Thalia having fun on the hunt makes me happy!
Georgina possibly Apollo’s daughter?? I thought he would know that now that he’s a god again and all, plothole???
Lityerses with those elephants? adorable!
Caleo yikes, tbh I always hated the mamacita thing, so I’m glad we can ditch that, i love independent Calypso, I love that they both do their own thing(Leo teaching kids shop skills, Cal being a counsellor at a band camp), time apart is good, they need to figure themselves out, Leo has two great moms now, I’m disappointed that we don’t learn how he deals with Jason’s death, I mean he lost his best friend, but yeah let’s not talk about it or what, I’m sad that Leo’s so miserable, the book makes it seem like it’s all his fault, as if Calypso is perfect, I hope he and Calypso can make it work, but at this point I’m not so sure anymore
Frazel they’re doing great! now, both their curses are broken
Percabeth going to college as expected
Piper has a girlfriend, didn’t expect that at all, but I’m happy for her
Meg is not ok, but she will be, she’s really been through a lot, bless her
Conclusion I have mixed feelings, I’m glad that it’s over(even though there’s maybe a Bob/Tartarus story coming), there were a lot of unresolved issues in Heroes of Olympus, some have been cleared up(Hazel’s and Frank’s curses, Solangelo happened, Reyna and Venus’s prophecy), other things like the Caleo issues and Jasper breakup made me unhappy, I guess it’s realistic but I hated to read about that from Apollo’s point of view

Ghost King Solace
When the newest campers arrived at Camp Half Blood and received the standard tour and basic history, they were left wondering which camper they absolutely had to avoid- because Cabin 13 was terrifyingly dark, and from what they’d heard, children of Hade tended to be on the wrong side of morality. Cabin 13 currently had pitch black walls, carved from obsidian, tourmaline, black tiger’s eye, onyx- just about every black crystal one could imagine. The roof twisted into a spire, an empty bell tower at the top looming over camp and casting a sharp shadow on the ground, extending out like the cabin was trying to pull you in, a black carpet of shadows inviting you in a your peril. The door was deadbolted- in fact, there was a large bolt on the outside. The door was wooden, with a tiny window embedded in- the window had bars running through it, like it was repurposed from a prison or an old psychiatric hospital. The cabin seemed designed to keep people in, and to keep people out. It was pitch black inside, impossible to see in, although they figured that if the inhabitant was to stand right close to the window, then the light outside would be enough to show their face. In fact, when they saw a pale figure move across the window, they screamed and ran.
By the time the tour was over, they figured the inhabitant was most likely Nico di Angelo. He seemed to fit the tone of the cabin- he was terrifying, to say the least. He was five foot three and ninety eight pounds of pure spite, eyes like brown glass and dark black curls unruly and untamed, jutting out like bat wings. He was pale and gaunt, the slight hint of an olive undertone only visible if he stepped into the sunlight. The boy was silent when he walked, appearing behind people and speaking without a warning. He wore clothes as dark as his personality appeared to be, with gruesome images of zombies and ghosts and graveyards and heavy metal bands. His boots had thick platform soles, metal screwed and bolted and riveted into the them, buckes all up the side and laces all up the front, purple leather flames snaking up the toes, the heels, and the top of the boots.
However, everybody was rather surprised when, during a game of Capture the Flag, the boy was seen to shoot an arrow at a particularly violent Ares camper and run full pelt to a wounded Athena kid, dropping to his side and emptying the contents of a medical kit. The boy worked quickly to irrigate and treat the wound, hands glowing a warm dark amber, like embers, as he sang a hymn to Apollo and healed the wound with the light. The boy was a son of Apollo, which evidently, left everybody confused.
That’s also why, of course, they were so surprised when they finally saw the Son of Hades. The chill in the air was enough warning that something terrible was probably going to happen and they were probably going to die in the forest before they’d graduated middle school. They were even more surprised when Will Solace stepped through the shadows, strutting confidently as the smoky tendrils seemed to dance around him, wrapping around his arms as he raised them, the earth shaking and splitting as skeletons clawed their way out like bone spiders, following him forwards. Holy shit, he was scary and cool. He lifted an arm, and the shadows extended from him like whips, tendrils of darkness lashing out at the Ares campers who were attempting to get to di Angelo. Seeing the Ares campers who had spent their mornings shoving the new campers’ heads into toilets now running like their life depended on it was certainly something that sparked joy amongst the newcomers. It was when the shadows finally retreated that they were able to properly take in the walking contradiction that was Will Solace.
The boy was a fashion disaster. He should not be allowed to dress himself, they figured. He was wearing a horrible bright orange shirt- not even a camp shirt, which would have been a forgiven fashion faux-pas, but a neon orange shirt with “geek” scrawled across it. To make matters worse, he had a green button down over the top, but it wasn’t moss green or forest green or mint green, but rather mould green, neon green, and snot green plaid. And the as if two layers in the middle of summer wasn’t enough, he wore a yellow leather women’s jacket over the top- but damn was the jacket to die for. However, on the back was a badly painted stylized sun. The boy also wore the worst shorts they had ever seen- neon blue with suns and clouds and beath umbrellas and ice creams and parrots and way too many hand drawn flowers scrawled on in felt tips bleeding out and smudging. And finally, neon pink flip flops with matching loom bands. But damn did that boy wear those clothes with a confidence they’d never seen before. It was very clear that Will Solace couldn’t give two shits what people thought of him, because it was clear that he was dressing for himself and nobody else, and if that boy wanted to wear an outfit that clashed, he’d wear an outfit that clashed. He glared at everybody, an unspoken challenge of ‘say something, I dare you’ in his eyes.
And just like that, with a wink to a very flustered and distracted Nico di Angelo, Will sprinted into the shadows, smoky tendrils still radiating up from the dead grass footsteps he left behind.
In the next few days, the new campers quickly realised that Will Solace was, to put it impolitely, a little ray of fucking sunshine. He handed out bright yellow lollipops to campers, set up a lemonade stall, stuck post-it notes with compliments on camper’s backs to make them smile, picked sunflowers to decorate all the cabins, and even made the cat-like Nico blush. Despite not knowing him, the new campers instantly felt safe and comfortable around him. He radiated unconditional love. Campers felt empowered to express themselves, because if Will could wear whatever he wanted, then so could they, why not? In fact, when one of the recently claimed boys from the Aphrodite cabin was being teased by a bunch of Ares campers for wearing a skirt, Will Solace appeared from the shadows behind them, tapped the leader on the shoulder, and punched him in the face. He sent them running, then put a gentle arm around the boy and invited him to sit with him and his friends- who just so happened to include THE Percy Jackson who they’d only heard of in camp legend. All of the most popular, most respected members of camp were there, and Will made sure everybody invited the boy in with open arms. Ghost King Solace was everybody’s ally, and camp life was just a little bit less grim with him by everyone’s side.

Blood of Zeus Ending Explained
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains Blood of Zeus spoilers.
Netflix has found a lot of success with their recent run of animated series and anime that are centered toward more mature audiences. Blood of Zeus mixes together Greek mythology with Shakespearean melodrama and stunning fight sequences. Powerhouse Animation has meticulously crafted this series that follows Heron, an outcast to Mount Olympus due to his complicated connection to Zeus. Heron immerses himself deeper into the world of Gods, all while a dangerous bid for power grows between God, human, and Demon over Zeus’ role in Olympus.
Blood of Zeus features remarkable action sequences and animation, plus nuanced storytelling that does its source material justice. Its first season tells a satisfying and complete story, but it also features some major twists and plants some seeds for what’s ahead in season two.
Does The War Between Gods And Giants End?
Early on in Blood of Zeus, the show explains the ancient relationship between Gods and Giants, and the demons that were formed as a result. This battle for domination between these forces becomes the focus of Blood of Zeus’ conclusion. A key tool in this war is a powerful cauldron that’s able to steal the energy of the Giants and turn them into pliant slaves. Hera’s plan is to control the Giants and broker a temporary alliance between them where if they help her kill Zeus so she can seize control then she will give them back their sea as a reward. Zeus does his best and gains help in combat from Poseidon, but it’s Heron who’s staffed to retrieve the cauldron and end this war. Zeus knows that Heron is born to handle this kind of responsibility. It’s not easy, but Heron is able to obtain the cauldron and pacify the Giants, which puts an end to their war, at least for the time being. The Gods already have enough to worry about among their own kind.
Is Seraphim Killed?
Seraphim’s seething rage against all Gods reaches its breaking point in the finale. His mission to acquire the powerful cauldron pits him against Hera, Alexia, and ultimately Heron. Seraphim tries to persuade Heron and speaks of how they can rule together, but he’s not interested in such things, especially when it comes at the cost of becoming a demon. Heron finishes Seraphim off in a grisly way that accentuates their fundamental differences. Heron then finally accesses his Godly powers and he ends the deed with a burst of electricity that would make Zeus proud.
Though Heron finishes off Seraphim, Blood of Zeus shows that this doesn’t mean that he’s out of the picture. An epilogue features Seraphim, as a spirit, in Hades and trapped in another brokerage of power with a dangerous force. The season ends with Seraphim as a deceased pawn of Hades, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the arrangement that Seraphim has entered into with him involves the restoration of his body under the right conditions. The rivalry between Seraphim and Heron only becomes stronger after they learn that they’re half-brothers and it’d be disappointing if this relationship doesn’t get more opportunities to fester and evolve.
The Fallout Between Zeus And Hera
Hera’s growing animosity towards Zeus due to his adulterous ways becomes one of the main driving forces of the season. Hera’s desire for revenge culminates with the two trying to kill each other in the season finale. The two reminisce over the glory days of when they first fell for each other, but Hera still can’t forgive Zeus for what he’s done. Hera proves to be the major antagonist of the season and her fate remains unknown even though Zeus sacrifices himself to save her. She’s presumed to be dead, but she’s just missing once the dust settles, which leaves plenty of room for a surprise attack in a hypothetical season two.
It’s a dark realization that if Hera and Zeus could have both swallowed their pride in various respects and worked together then they’d perhaps both still be alive. Of course, that would still leave plenty of arguments over who should be in charge of Mount Olympus.
Who Is The New King Of Mount Olympus?
Blood of Zeus ends with Heron and the rest of the Gods in Mount Olympus in a peaceful place, but very soon they’ll all have to address the power vacuum that’s been opened now that Zeus is dead. Heron has proven himself in some big ways, but with awakening his demigod powers and his ability to control the cauldron, but it still feels premature for him to rise into his father’s role. He’d also most certainly face resentment from many of the other Gods. Apollo, Heron’s brother, feels like a much more suitable answer, which still allows Heron close proximity to the ruler. Of course, with how season one plays out it’s also possible that Zeus has even more children that people don’t know about who will want to make a bid for power.
What’s Ahead For Season 2?
Blood of Zeus teases some major developments, so it’s fair to say that the creators have a second season in mind. The absence of Zeus and Hera (at least for the time being) will lead to major changes for both Heron and Mount Olympus as a whole. Heron may also try to continue to refine his demigod abilities so he feels more like the suitable replacement for Zeus that Mount Olympus needs. It’s also unclear if Heron’s actions with the cauldron mean that this is the end of the Giants or if they’ll continue to be a danger to the Gods.
The other major change that the end of season teases is Seraphim’s new relationship with Hades. It currently looks like Seraphim is on the losing side of this arrangement, but he’ll probably find a way to turn it around in his favor. Hades also makes allusions towards Seraphim’s ability to control his staff, which will also surely have greater significance in the future. Maybe Hades has always planned for Seraphim to end up in this place and positioned against Heron like this. A season two has yet to be confirmed by Netflix, but it will likely tackle all of this and a lot more.

The first season of Blood of Zeus is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Ascension - Chapter 3
Demos Educational Organization was like no other college Lena could have imagined. Instead of reading, math, and science, they were taught Ancient Greek, War Strategy, and Swordsmanship. Lena, shocked to find out her true parentage strikes friendships left and right at her new school. Her most treasured friendship of all, her friendship with one Daughter of Zeus, Kara Danvers. Follow Lena on a journey of self-discovery in an attempt to foil the plot of the Titans, and maybe learn a few things about herself along the way.
Or
A PJO inspired Supercorp series. Part One: Ascension.
Read it here on AO3
I.
Lena continued this habit for the next week or so. She would go about her morning, sometimes sitting next to Kara and company at breakfast before going to her morning classes. Then meeting up with Maggie in Ancient Greek, fooling around in the back of the classroom until their teacher scolded them. And she would join everyone at lunch. Lena had never felt more at home than she did when she was with everyone. They all seemed to be really accepting of her. Especially Kara, Mon-El, and Winn.
Winn would sometimes engage her in chatter about the next tech thing he was building. The son of Hephaestus loved to invent new things and while Lena couldn’t always understand everything he was talking about, she enjoyed listening to him talk with such enthusiasm. Occasionally inputting her own ideas when she could.
Alex and Maggie usually kept to the sidelines of the group, usually talking to each other, but sometimes would engage Lena in conversation. Maggie tended to talk with her a lot in Ancient Greek, so lunch was dedicated to letting the others monopolize Lena’s time and gave Maggie an opportunity to spend time with her girlfriend. James was much the same. He seemed to be the most reserved of the group, preferring to sit back and listen.
The friendship that surprised her most of all was her budding friendship with Mon-El. He seemed like the typical frat boy that she probably would have gone to college with if she had gone to a normal college. But she had to admit, he was more than met the eye. While he did have that side of him, he was deceptively intelligent about things that he was passionate about. He would sometimes help her with her War Strategy coursework, giving her a different perspective on it than Alex or James would. Which Lena appreciated. While Alex and James were obviously very good at War Strategy being children of Athena, Mon-El had a different approach than they did. Often the brute strength route which didn’t always work. But Lena liked to get mixed opinions on things so she could combine them and make something new. So she would ask all three people for their input most of the time.
And then, of course, there was Kara. Lena had to admit, she probably treasured Kara’s friendship the most. Kara’s face always lit up when Lena approached the group, and she was always the one to stand up and hug her, usually asking before she did. Kara would always invite her to hang out during their shared free period. And sometimes after classes were over for the day and the entire group went to do something, Kara was always the one to invite Lena along, though obviously, no one else protested. Lena was a part of the pack now.
Kara always offered to help Lena train with a sword, though Lena kept shooting her down. Kara would pout for a minute but always jump up and say “next time!” Lena was endeared by Kara’s eternal sunshine. It was a wonder that Kara wasn’t a child of Apollo.
With each passing week, Lena became less and less concerned about being claimed. Of course, she hoped she would eventually be claimed, but at first, it was because she wanted to fit in. And now she had a close group of friends that made her feel welcome. She didn’t dwell on her parentage as much as she once did.
“Hey Lena, watching Kara and Mon-El again?” Lena looked in the direction of the voice to see James take a seat next to her. She nodded. Out of the entire group, she talked with James the least. It wasn’t that she didn’t like him, just they were both the quiet and solitary sort of individual, so they just never really chatted much.
“Kara’s really good,” Lena remarked, echoing her words to Alex on her first day. “And Mon-El seems to be getting better.” She added remembering his skills when he first saw them fight. James looked over and watched Mon-El swing at Kara, who dodged his attack.
“Yeah, they are. I remember when Mon-El first came here. He was hopeless. We were all surprised that he was a son of Ares. They’re usually supposed to be good at combat you know. But he was terrible. Always thinking with his muscles instead of his head.” Lena nodded, being able to see that in a less refined Mon-El. He still had a little bit of that she could tell when he would help her with War Strategy.
“Is that why Kara is helping him?” James nodded.
“In part. Kara also feels a level of kinship to him that she doesn’t share with some of the others.” Lena tilted her head to the side curiously. And James continued. “I don’t know what Kara told you about where she came from, but her city was destroyed by a rogue monster. She’s never told anyone which one, though. She lost everything before she was taken by Zeus and brought to the Danvers.”
Lena glanced over at Kara, who had sweat dripping down her bicep. “You sure you should be telling me this? Like, shouldn’t she tell me herself?” Lena asked.
“It’s painful for her to talk about. She asked me to talk to you about it. She doesn’t like to relive the memories, but said that as a part of the group, you deserved to know.” James replied. Lena bit her lip, looking over at Kara, who glanced her direction and smiled. “But Mon-El’s family and town were destroyed in much the same way. They bonded over it. They’re really the best of friends now.” James said. “Not that Kara isn’t really close with all of us, especially her sister. But there’s something unique about her relationship with Mon-El.”
Lena nodded, understanding how Kara could feel that way. And while Lena couldn’t understand herself what they felt like, her heart ached for her friends. It must have been horrible. For both of them. “Thanks, for telling me, James.” The man nodded, placing a hand on Lena’s shoulder.
“No problem. She really likes you, you know. Kara. She’s always been her usual sunshiny self, but ever since you came here, it’s been a whole new level. So I’m glad you’re here. I know we don’t talk much, outside of homework of course, but if you ever want to, you know where to find me.” He said with a nod. Lena gave James a lopsided smile, nodding back.
II.
One thing that Lena did enjoy was books. She loved to read. Sometimes she would decide to spend her free period on her own, on the quad with a book. One such day, Lena had decided to sit in the grass, in the sunlight with a book. Her aviators over her eyes, laying stomach down in the warm grass.
Elsewhere on campus, Kara was plotting. Not in an evil way. But she had roped Mon-El and Winn into helping her. “Guys, Lena hasn’t been through group initiation yet!” Kara said quietly though the raven-haired girl was nowhere within earshot.
“Well, we can’t deny her that!” Winn said with a smirk while Mon-El just laughed. He had gotten to know Lena well enough to know that she was going to hate it. But it was like the right of passage in their group. Every time they added someone new, Kara took it upon herself to sneak up on them while they’re unaware, tackle them and engage in a tickle fight. But while he knew that Lena would hate it, a part of him really want to see what Lena was going to do to Kara. He had eyes. And even if the two didn’t know it yet, he could see what was starting to develop between them.
Winn was a little wary of jumping Lena like that, but also knew it was tradition. He had come to really like Lena. She would listen to him geek out about tech, even when she didn’t understand a thing. The only other person that really listened to him like that was James. Kara too sometimes, but with her hyperactivity, it made it a little hard sometimes. So they usually did more active things together. Lena was smart and nice, though a little shy and quiet. He suspected that she was a daughter of Athena.
There was actually a pool going around the group of who Lena’s parent was. Maggie had started it, obviously, her competitive streak not being able to resist. Winn, Alex, and James all had their money on Athena. Lena was too smart to not be a daughter of Athena. Though Maggie decided to go with Aphrodite, saying that a girl that hot (to the ire of her girlfriend) couldn’t be from a different dorm.
Mon-El went with Hades. Another child of the Big Three. The entire group said that was the most unlikely of all the choices people had picked. But Mon-El stood by it. While Lena visibly enjoyed being with the group, she also tended to be the solitary and quiet one too. She was also very independent from some of the discussions he had with her. She shared the calm and cool demeanor with the God of Death and Mon-El could almost feel the power radiating from her. Far more than a child of a lesser God.
And that left Kara to guess Hermes. When she talked to Lena, she confided in her that she was also sort of the outcast back home and that she always had a knack for her persuasive streak, both hallmarks of the God of Travelers. But Lena still had yet to be claimed, so the bet went on.
So the three went on a search for Lena. They eventually did find her laying in the grass on the quad with a book, completely unaware of her surroundings. “This is too perfect!” Kara squealed quietly to the two men. Since it was Kara’s thing, they weren’t going to join her, but both Mon-El and Winn wanted to see what was going to happen.
So they waited and Kara slowly approached Lena from behind. Kara snuck up to Lena very quietly, managing to get within a few feet of her without being detected. And all of the sudden Kara yelled, to get Lena’s attention. And then pounced.
III.
Lena was enjoying her book in peace, lazily enjoying a Friday afternoon when she heard a loud yell behind her. She jumped, extremely startled and turned around to see Kara Danvers about to pounce on her. Lena yelped, putting her hands in front of her face, her eyes tightly closed.
There was a bright flash of light that Lena could make out, even from behind her closed eyes with a bang. Lena had braced for a body to collide with hers, but one never came. So she cautiously opened her eyes to see Kara sprawled out on the grass a few feet from her, laying on her back. She panicked, hoping that she hadn’t hurt her friend and quickly got up to make her way over to Kara. She was so focused on the blonde that she failed to notice the entire student population that had seen the event was staring at her with wide eyes and open mouths.
Winn elbowed Mon-El, “Looks like no one won the bet.” He whispered to the taller male.
Lena knelt down next to Kara who was shaking off the shock, sitting up. “Oh my Gods Kara. I’m sorry! I don’t even know what happened. You just surprised me. One minute I was enjoying my book and the next there you were!” Lena said, almost hysterical. Kara cut her off.
“I’m okay Lena, don’t worry. But what was that!?” Kara asked. Lena shrugged.
“I have no idea.” She said, standing up, offering Kara her hand, who accept it and Lena pulled Kara to her feet. There was a moment's pause before Lena’s entire life changed. Lena felt a new warmth envelop her body. She watched Kara back away from her slowly. Lena was going to ask her what was wrong, reaching out a hand, but stopped. She noticed that her hand was glowing. She looked down at herself and her entire body was glowing yellow. She frowned as Alex stepped forward, her and Maggie having appeared on the quad as well.
“She has been claimed!” Alex announced to the entire quad. Lena’s heart leapt. The entire quad bent down on one knee in front of her. Lena could see Winn, Mon-El, Maggie and Kara all on their knee, but looking up and smiling at her. She chuckled when Mon-El gave her a subtle thumbs up. “All hail Lena Luthor, daughter of the Sun God!”
IV.
Kara stared up at Lena from her place on the ground in awe of her glowing friend. She watched as the glow steadily disappeared. Kara slowly stood from the ground, still gazing at her friend who was looking at a bit uncomfortable at all the attention people were giving her before looking at Kara. The dark haired girl smiled nervously at Kara, who gave Lena a bright grin.
Kara’s heart leapt at the new revelation about her friend.  Kara had once been lucky enough to receive a prophecy from Aphrodite about her future love. And Lena was seeming to be more and more to fit the bill. Not that Kara was complaining, from the first time Kara saw Lena on her first day, she had instantly been taken by the freshmen. And ever since Maggie had drug Lena into their circle of friends, Kara had made sure to make Lena feel as welcome as possible.
And now Kara was beginning to understand why she had such an instant connection with Lena. Aphrodite had once told Kara that she was destined to fall in love with the daughter of a sun god. Someone who is neither light nor dark. One that exists in the shades of gray in between. A halfblood with a power the world had never seen in a halfblood before. Lena’s photokinesis certainly fit the bill. Though what concerned Kara was the second part, one neither of light nor dark. The gods had a funny way of expressing prophecy and that could mean either nothing at all. Or it could mean everything.
Little pick me up after today's Supergirl/Lena Luthor news...
So yeah. Before I get yelled at for putting Lena in Apollo and not Kara... There's a good reason. That I can't tell you right now. Because spoilers. Just know that it's important. Her heritage will play a huge role in this story. Also, remember that I adapted this story from an outline intended for a different ship and one of the major plot devices hinges on Lena's character being claimed as a daughter of Apollo.
And while there are far more appropriate godly parents for Lena in canon, I think everyone will eventually be happy with the decision. I personally headcanon Lena as a daughter of Nemesis, but it was interesting to read everyone's ideas of where she belongs! Obviously, there weren't enough story details to make a good and informed guess, but I always love reading headcanons.
Also, I said I wasn't going to make this an anti Mon-El story. I don't like his canon writing, but I think he has potential to be a good character if he were written differently, which I'm trying to tackle here. I know a lot of people can't stomach him, but I promise he won't be a douchebag in my story.
Anyways. Yes. Daughter of Apollo. Interesting choice I know, but like I said, it'll be important later.

Ghost King Solace (1)
[I posted this before BUT I'm turning it into a long fic so I'm using the tag #ghost king solace so that this fic can easily be found in one place. I'll tag all my multi-chapter fics by their titles from now on.]
