Okay, I just read Volume 20 of the manga and I have a lot of thoughts...but one that I really want to spit out is about Akutagawa's death.

During the fight, he CONTINUOUSLY brings up Dazai. How he wants Dazai's approval. How he's going to LIVE and make it back to Dazai. How he doesn't have much time left so he really needs that approval before he expires. Basically, him (ironically) associating living and Dazai together. To get Dazai's acknowledgement is to live.

And yet.

And YET.

His death wasn't an accident, at least not entirely.

Even Fukuchi acknowledged that from the beginning, taking into account the space-time sword, Akutagawa's plan was to let ONLY Atsushi escape.

Did Akutagawa know he would be instakilled? I think he strongly suspected it considering how Fukuchi was doing his best to kill them.

Essentially, what I'm saying is that provided all that context, Akutagawa basically CHOSE to die when throughout the whole fight his only thought was to live, live, live (for Dazai). The arc isn't over yet (and I honestly have little faith this will happen) but I'm gonna hope anyway that this is symbolic of Akutagawa finally letting go of his deep desire to live for Dazai's approval and maybe starting to build something new...a new reason to live?

As in, him choosing death - choosing ATSUSHI - was his way of saying, "Okay. I see only one of us can make it out...I can't fight this man and beat him (which he did say). I won't live for Dazai's approval now. I can't. So I'll instead choose to die so that there is a chance Atsushi can save the world and clear the Agency's name."

Basically, I'm playing on the age old death and rebirth motif to say Akutagawa dying for Atsushi rather than living for Dazai's approval is his way of growing from his past obsessions and perhaps beginning to build a new reason to live (by dying for it heh...).

It was not uncommon that you and Lo’ak would get into arguments, almost always they are about petty things, who was the fastest, who’s better at hunting, who makes the better meal, etc. So it wasn’t rare that the Sully family would walk in on your childish arguments, though unfortunately, it was Neteyam who had the luck to run into the both of you.

“Lo’ak just admit you’re a pussy bitch and this can be over.” You rolled your eyes.

“No way in hell! I told you, we need a rematch and it’ll be fair,” Loak grunted, crossing his arms over his chest, turning away from you.

Neteyam sighed. He really wasn’t in the mood to play ‘most responsible person in the world’ right now, but duty calls.

The eldest Sully approaches the both of you, “Hey, hey, what’s all this fighting about?”

You remain beside Neteyam, eyes wandering to the ground, which was suddenly so interesting.

“Now you, I don’t know why you continue to cause trouble baby,” Neteyam points, looking down at you with disappointment. You shift from foot to foot. Luckily enough, his soft side for you remains, the slip of a pet name indicating he’s not entirely mad at you.

Yet you chuckle nervously, “I won’t anymore, promise.”

Rhodes didn't care right now as he just pulled out his head phones and hit play on his spotify picking back up from where it left off, 'We're not gonna take it' by Twisted Sister, blaring loud enough to drown everything out. Man he still needed to figure out how to apologize to Buddy's Dad's and Charlie's aunt and uncle. Maybe he could bring some souvenir stuff from Duckberge. With all the rich people that lived there was a lot of fancy shops and such.

Thought before he could start to think what would be good 'Sorry my step-mom is a raging bitch and made the nice dinner you two set up into a complete and utter mess.' Along with 'And I'm sorry you nice folks had to see all that shit go down when you just came as guest yourself.' Towards Charlie's aunt and uncle. Bailey walked over nearly startling the young teen having no clue into their approach just now, only noticing the soft smile on the old roosters beak. Rhodes knew of Bailey Evans-Alder. Followed their Instagram account, how he knew about the local famed coffee shop in the city. So, he was aware they also owned the business Sinsations. Had to say with those two facts he hadn't really any clue the type of person they would be. But? the person they were was not expected? Not some serious business type. Or well Rhodes wasn't sure the wording but someone you would expect having a job in a place that sold sex toys and such. Or some snotty rich guy either. Honestly? from how they dressed if you didn't know who he was you might not think he owned a company anyway. Rhodes lowered his headphones showing they had his attention. They weren't like Buddy's other dad who kind of looked intimidating sometimes. Must be the whole being a predatory bird thing. Bailey? was far more approachable, as Rhodes offered a smile back to them.

"Having a step-parent is difficult, huh?"

Rhodes blinked and slightly looked over his shoulder at said step-mom. Before reaching up to rub at the nape of his own neck. "eh yeah..Sorry ya know about well that whole thing." Rhodes began with, might as well start dishing out the apologies he figured. "She can be well not so great at times." putting it nicely. Rhodes had a long list of words he loved to call that women but he knows it wouldn't really be the best to say that to another adult in the first place. beside this place got enough of his mess as is.

"Yeah, I understand that, my step-mum wasn't the greatest either...but, hey, if you ever need someone to talk to, I can listen Rhodes,"

Rhodes just stare blankly at the rooster before he grew confused. It just was such a non-topic, off limits with out ever be stated as such. Which he never understood? The moment anything on Rhodes family got mentioned they would know the truth. His parents divorce. Karine was only his step-mother. More like step-monster, she fit in so well in the role of the evil step mother of so many fairy tale princess seemed to be stuck with as well. But it was still odd hearing it so openly addressed. But guess cause Bailey been there done that? Seemed about right. That Buddy's own folks just be nice like they were. "Oh it's not that..bad?" he offered trying to down play it best he was able, funny he normally so good at that. Maybe it just doesn't work with adults.

"And if you ever want a place to crash, just to get away from everyone? You're welcome here, okay Rhodes?"

Yeah it didn't work on adults or least not Bailey, Rhodes slightly looked down unsure what to say as he just offered a slight chuckle. Guess he can't be too surprised he's just glad to see he is still welcomed at their home at all. Sure would suck but least he knew he and Buddy were still friends after tonight. This helped though.

"Well I'm sure she ain't looking to feed me any poisoned apples any time soon, but if she tries denying me from going to a dance" Rhodes jokes his mind going back to his thought about Karine fitting the role of the evil step mom at that moment. "Then..yeah I'll uh keep that in mind. Thanks Bailey."

On a surprisingly sunny day in London, our writer Tommy Jenkins was invited to the beautiful rural home on the outskirts of the busy capital city. The garden was blooming with spring flowers, covering the better part of the front house garden. On the porch was the whole YSN-Styles family - YN, Harry and their little first child - Bee (nickname, name not yet revealed to the public).

The first time I talked to YN was after the 2014th MTV Music Awards, already struck by her presence, the way she presented herself and treated everyone around her - always kind, helpful and ready to cooperate. This is my first interview with YN, but also Harry Styles, who is YN’s husband.

“We’ve been married, what, about seven months?” YN wondered, looking at Harry, who was cuddling their nine-month-old son.

“Seven months and fourteen days exactly, time flies.”

“He’s better with dates than me,” YN countered with a smile.

The wedding was small, held in this very house, I’ve been for the last few hours. Closest family and friends, sleeping Bee in the first row attended the ceremony, which then transferred to a dinner with Stevie Nicks performing. After my question of why they didn't announce it to the public, Harry took over the wheel, “there was no need to. It was something very private, personal to us. It uhm it still feels wrong to talk about with you, no offence.” No offence was taken. “Well-known people usually don’t have the privilege to protect their private life. It’s impressive for how long you did it,” I responded. “It’s sad. But we made it work.”

TJ: Coming back to the privacy, what tipped the weight on the scales to accept our interview?

YN: Good question. I think - well - I think after I decided to do the HalfTime Show it was bound to happen. There was no way I could hide my huge belly. Laughs. It just came up one evening and we were like “fuck it, let’s do it”.

TJ: HalfTime Show, how was it?

YN: Exhausting. It’s not easy dancing with this big of a belly, especially when you know that your child is right there. There - we had some second thoughts when I started to near the seven month mark. Just like with Bee my belly got quite big - which I love to see, hate to manoeuvre - I mean my back and legs are hurting me non stop. But going back to the topic - umm - yeah. The decision was hard, but we made it together.

TJ: Harry, you came to the show right after winning everything you could on the BRITs. Congratulations, by the way!

Harry: Thank you. Blushing. Ehmm, yeah, in the beginning we decided to be together at the show. I actually didn’t want to be at the BRITs but YN bought me a plane ticket. Laughs. Yeah, I just flew to Glendale the day of the show to support my wife.

TJ: How was the dancing on the platforms, YN?

YN: Terrifying. But I was harnessed and secure.

TJ: If you let me, I want to ask you about your first meeting. Was it actually the 2013 MTV awards?

YN: It was. Ten - oh my lord - ten years ago. It’s crazy!

TJ: How was it?

YN: I don’t remember the award show, just eating some oranges form a cute stranger behind me and then giving him my number. Which he lost.

TJ: No, you didn’t!

Harry: I did, I did lose the YN YSN phone number. My mates - my band mates - teased me for months about it. It was scary, actually.

TJ: And when did you meet next?

YN: When was it? December 2015?

Harry: Yeah. I may or may not have made my bandmates perform FourFive Seconds during our Live Lounge set, and it just sprinted from there.

YN: I DMed him after being shown that video by my younger sister. And that DM is actually framed and hang in Harry’s home studio.

TJ: What was it?

Harry: “I guess it took collaborating with Paul McCartney to have you give me a hint.”

TJ: And you started from there?

YN: And never looked back.

TJ: It wasn’t the last time you performed YN’s song, was it? Wild Thoughts?

YN: Laughing. I love this!

Harry: That was our first - let’s say - crumb to give people about us.

TJ: Please elaborate.

YN: I wrote my verses in Wild Thoughts with Harry in mind, let’s be real. He was my inspiration and has been since the moment we’ve started seeing each other. But it was Harry’s idea to cover it. I loved it and he did it beautifully, like always.

TJ: I assume your albums are about YN?

Harry: Smiles.

TJ: Okay, I understand. Let’s move on. YN, when we are in the topic of music -

YN: Oh no. My fans sent you, didn’t they?!

TJ: I’m one of them! When can we expect something? A crumb even.

YN: Two months. I - I have a full album written. Don’t know if my fans will like it, it’s - it’s different from anything I’ve done already. It’s something more rock, I’d say. With R&B of course. I couldn’t abandon my favourite genre. There are a few collaborations, Lift Me Up is there, too, a few notes sprouted all over the tracks maybe meaning something. Smirking. I really want them all to like it, but I wouldn't blame them if they didn’t. That’s just the way of how things could go.

TJ: I love it already.

Harry: It’s very beautiful. Personal and deep.

TJ: Harry, you’ve just won twoGrammy awards. Congratulations. But I want to ask you about acting. Do you have something, a script that you want to take part in bringing up to live?

Harry: Thank you. Uhm. Right now I’m touring and whenever the baby is born, we’re stopping. Time for family is the most important thing in my life.

TJ: Thank you for talking with me and welcoming us to your home.
