i will shut up abt this i promise but like. the concept of being in a stable safe mutually loving whatever relationship is INSANE . like how can you ever feel bad about yourself or wounded or whatever again. it’s like a superpower or somethi ng. <- doesn’t know what she’s taking abt bc she’s never experienced it or the absence of it after having it merely the negative space of it and is filling in the gaps w logic or something. but it’s INSANE to me. like of course i feel like shit about myself i am catcrumb unloved.jpg!
#purrs#imbeing insane about it i know it’s not that simple / reductive and i will still feel like shit abt myself once im in a relationshp (if i#get to be ♥️) and there are lots of other legitimate reasons to feel shit agtbyiurself. but it’s like no ficking wonder i feel inadequate i#am a 24 year old who lives at home and has never held a hand or whatever next to two 50sometjinf year old married men with pets and phds. of#course i am going to feel inadequate and stupid and lonely. like i canttttt 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 and th w worst part is you can’t just go out into#the world saying that and looking for that it has to find you so i will not join any dating apps or whatever but i don’t fucking go anywhere#so im not going to meet anyone and i knowi am so young and stupid and just having a horrible day that is reminding me of horrors. but the#way i am mentally shoving my whole fist in my mouth. OF COURSE I FEEL LIKE SHIT I DONT HAVE A LIFE PARTNER!!!!!!!!!!!! I DONT HAVE THAT#SAFETY AND STABILITY AND TRUST AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!!!!!!! AND I NEVER HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#delete later#like this is what makes me crazy abt parents and kids too and whyi don’t think ihave kids. bc i think (and i know this is wrong / unhealthy)#it is a primal human need to be mutually someone else’s number 1 person and when you have kids it’s like you’re gonna love your partner more#than the kids and then the kids (read: me) watch that and get fucked up over it. but also that could just be me reacting to the UNSPEAKABLE#psychological damage of being a twin. which again is ridiculous bc it’s n out like abuse i just had to share something with someone else si#since before i was born and ofc there was more like actually kind of abusive stuff on top of it LOL but that aside. idk what im saying i#just feel so crazy. the amount of composure it takes me every day to not start SCREAMING with frustration and envy when i see ppl being#RIGHTFULLY DESERVEDLY visibly confident and loved. like ok valentines grinch go sit in the drainage pond forever please. but it’s so crazy#like how are you supposed to go through the world unaware of how much love you’re missing out on because you’re young and then you realize I#it and then somehow you miss the train and you are scared you are going to d*e alone ♥️ im normal

BAKUGOU KATSUKI ✰ 10:32
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You tell Bakugou once that you don’t know how to take the train home, and he almost blasted your ears off with semi-yelling (or full-on yelling at some point) insults.
“Hah?” He scoffs, eyes narrowing. This information is new to him, and a surprising one at that.
You? The nerd that always bested him when it came to academics, which pissed him off the first few months in U.A.? The person who was not only book smart but was street and people smart as well?
The whole goddamn package doesn’t know how to take the train?
Really?
He’s calling bull.
“What do you mean you don’t know how to take the train home? What kind of idiot doesn’t know that?”
“I just—“ you’re abashed and really don’t know what to say, “I didn’t really— I’ve never had the chance to take one until now!” For a consistent honors student, you can’t really have everything, can you?
“How’ve you been getting to school and back, then?”
“We had a driver—“
“Fuckin’ course—“
“But hey! Listen—in my defense—my schools were usually a walking distance from our house.”
“And now what? Gonna stand here and wait for a miracle to happen?”
You nudge his side with a frustrated frown (more like a pout, Bakugou thinks.) “Quit it, asshole.”
He backtracks briefly, though you could barely tell at this point. And it’s clear enough that he takes your words into consideration. It could be the fact that you actually look scared shitless right now, something foreign to your typical lax and carefree persona.
“C’mon.” Bakugou grabs you by the arm.
“Ow— hey! Where are we going?”
“You have to learn somehow, or else you’ll look fuckin’ clueless and dumb, nerd.”
You don’t argue because you really just wanted to get home, and while you could just call in your driver, you considered that this was important information that would help you in the long run. Besides, you do agree with Bakugou that not knowing how to commute like this is embarrassing, especially at your age.
“What’s this?”
Bakugou hands you a card. It’s decorated with a minimalist logo of Musutafu’s native flower, whose color is your favorite.
“An IC card,” he simply answers.
It’s cute, you thought. You noticed how the other commuters had the standard design, so Bakugou must've gotten it personalized to your preference. How thoughtful.
“You could’ve just helped me get a ticket, though,” you murmur. You fiddle with the card in your hand, glancing at him with a puzzled expression. “I don’t think I’ll be using this card that often. It’ll be a waste.”
“Then try and use it as often as you can, nerd.”
“I’ll pay you back for this—how much was it?”
“Forget it.”
“Really, Bak—“
“Forget it,” he barks. “Keep up, you shitty extra. Or else you’d miss the last train to your station.” Bakugou starts walking, and you follow suit.
You can load your IC card at the ticket machines or the nearest ATMs. Different stations call for different ticket gates that obviously have different fares. The expiration of cards usually depends on what provider you got them from—
“What do I do now?”
You’re hesitantly in front of the ticket gate, with Bakugou on the other side. You’re like a kid who’s lost their mother in the mall.
“Just—“ Bakugou had to take a deep breath and not make a scene in the train station. He pinched the bridge of his nose, calling for all his ancestors to give him the strength to remain patient.
“Place your shitty card on the card reader. That’s it.”
You do as you’re taught, and you awed when the gates opened and let yourself walk through with a stupidly big smile on your face. “I did it!”
Bakugou thinks it’s fucking stupid of him to think that your enthusiasm for mundane things was cute. But fuck, something must be wrong with him because suddenly he feels a flurry of butterflies lodged in his throat, his heart beating ridiculously fast.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
He gives you directions, how to navigate through Musutafu without getting lost, and the basic stations you’ll be passing by to get to your station. He sees you type most of the things he says on your phone, and the way you were so eager to learn was a sight to see, really.
Boarding the metro, people were just as eager to get home as you two. So you two stood, not that there was much room to do anything about it.
“Hold onto the handle unless you want to fall on your ass,” Bakugou says. His tone is hushed to not disturb the other passengers. At least he followed basic commuting etiquette.
“It’s so beautiful,” you breathe out. The passing buildings were as huge as those of U.A.’s, if not bigger. With the golden hue of the apparent descent of the sun below the horizon, Musutafu just became more beautiful in your eyes.
He scoffs.
“What’s so interestin’ about a buncha tacky buildings? Never seen one before you came here?”
“Of course I have; they’re just not like this.”
Bakugou follows your line of sight, and he thinks about it carefully. He couldn’t see what you saw, but maybe it’s because he grew up looking at this scenery. It doesn’t amaze him as much as it did when he was younger, he concludes. To you, this was a first.
An experience that could become a core memory in this city. And he’s with you as you live through it. The thought causes a familiar feeling of pride to exude from his chest.
Maybe he’ll learn to appreciate more mundane things with you too in the future.
The train stops at another station, and the people scurry out. Once in motion, you were surprised by the speed when it took off, and the motion had you stumbling back. You stumble against Bakugou.
“What did I say about keeping a firm hold on the handles, you shitty extra? That’s what those are for.” Whether it’s by instinct or unintentional, Bakugou guides your hand to hold onto the support pole. He doesn’t let go, and you didn’t make a comment about it.
“Sorry! Still getting used to it,” you quietly laugh. “I hope the people here don’t think I’m really that inexperienced when it comes to taking the metro home,” you told him. “It’s embarrassing to think that I haven’t taken one until now.”
Bakugou thinks it’s alright because you were actually on set to learn. No matter what those other extras say or comment, no matter if they give you unimpressed glances, he’s there to grant them one of his own spine-chilling glares if they had the balls to do so.
A passenger who appeared to be around your age stood up from his seat. “Excuse me, you can take my seat. I get off at the next stop,” he says. You’re a bit hesitant to take the offer, but he reassures you that it’s fine. It’ll be an awkward death for you if you don’t accept it, because now he’s standing. “Please, I insist.”
Unknown to you, Bakugou had an obvious scowl on his face until the stranger left.
“You look like you’re about to shit yourself.”
“Shut up, I’m not.”
“Jealous?”
“Hah? Why would I be—”
“Shh!” you kicked his shoe with yours.
“Quiet, remember?”
Bakugou rolls his eyes, still frowning. You hold his free hand, cheekily smiling when he tries to free it from your hold. And in the end, he lets you do whatever the fuck it is that you want, but he would never ever admit that he was jealous of some nameless extra. He’s too far into liking you to help you board a train, get you a personalized IC card, miss his stop two stations ago because yours was still three stations after his, but he doesn’t think he’d be vocal about it anytime soon.
He’ll leave it to you to confess.
Then again, you already knew.
Bakugou Katsuki would not go above and beyond like this for anyone else, but he unknowingly does for you.

summary: your best friend brags complains that he can't get laid due to his huge dick posing a threat to random girls at parties, so you offer to fix his little big problem pairing: soobin x reader genre: smut, best friends to lovers warnings: explicit language, big dick soobin (canon event), size kink, foreplay, eating out, blowjob, hugging, fingering, size training, creampie, consensual intercourse, kissing, aftercare, allusions to death in a sexual context, lowkey possessive soobin at the end author's note: the killa is on my mind 24/7 and im down bad for soobin 25/8 🥵 so i had to get it out of my system somehow 🤷 word count: 2k
“You’re kidding, right?” you ask your best friend when he makes a rather shocking confession as the two of you are sitting in his bedroom after one of your usual anime marathons.
“I wish I was. But I would never lie to you,” Soobin responds truthfully. His big moist eyes look a 100% genuine but it still sounds so...bizarre.
“Let me get this straight…Every time you try to hook up with a girl at one of those parties Yeonjun keep dragging you to, you go to a room, eat them out like the generous, selfless guy you are, and then after you take off your pants, they get scared by your gigantic cock and refuse to have sex, running away in horror?”
“That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to explain for the past 10 minutes, yeah,” Soobin confirms with a very adorable pout on his stupid face.
You shake your head in utter disbelief.
“I’m sorry but this is just ridiculous. Any girl would be happy to hook up with a guy that has a huge dick.”
“Well, I guess not any girl ‘cause this shit has happened three times already and I’m at my limit. Why can’t I just get laid?” Soobin bemoans his tragic destiny.
“No, I don’t get it. The least they could do is give you a quickie or something to return the favour. It’s so rude to just sprint away. I can’t believe your cock is that terrifying.”
“Ugh, please stop saying that. It’s so embarrassing,” Soobin covers his face behind his big hands. Hold on a minute…
“If what you’re saying is true, then I think it’s pretty hot. Those girls are surely missing out.”
“Or maybe they’re just looking after themselves. Like…I’m not mad at them for being spooked out, I just wish I could finally get some, you know?” Soobin sighs.
“Death by dick does seem appealing,” you shrug.
“Y/N!” he exclaims.
“Listen, what if I make you an offer? You prove to me that you weren’t exaggerating about your size and I promise I won’t run away and will take care of your…frustrations.”
“Are you seriously suggesting this?” Soobin freaks out. “This could ruin our friendship.”
“I won’t be weird about it, I swear. What do you say?”
“Fuck it. I’m so horny that this actually sounds like a good idea,” Soobin admits. “Can I eat you out first?”
“Erm, if you insist,” you reply, suddenly feeling nervous.
“I just wanna take care of you, make sure you’re all nice and wet for me,” Soobin explains patiently.
“You really don’t have to,” you reassure him.
“I know but it’d be awkward for me to just whip it out. Please?”
“Oh…okay,” you really can’t imagine saying no when he’s asking you so sweetly. God, what did you get yourself into?
Soobin takes off your leggings and panties in one swift movement and pushes you down gently on the bed so you are in a lying position. He spreads your thighs apart and looks at your pussy, already glistening with wetness caused by the conversation you’ve been having. Soobin smirks but doesn’t say anything about it. You’re grateful for that as he dives in, licking and kissing all over you. Fucking hell, if his tongue is capable of making you feel this way, you are slightly unnerved to find out what his cock can achieve. But unlike those girls at the parties, you are determined to never run away from your best friend.
Soon enough, you reach your high, overwhelmed by Soobin’s insane tongue movements and his big hands gripping your thighs. You need a few moments to gather your thoughts and when you are finally able to speak, those are the first words that leave your mouth:
“I think they fleed because you eat pussy like a starved animal. Seriously, what the hell was that?”
Soobin chuckles nervously and runs his fingers through his black hair, pushing it back and exposing his forehead for a bit.
“Trust me, it’s not that.”
“Prove it,” you challenge him even though you are fairly certain he’s telling the truth. Your best friend has never lied to you, so why start now?
Soobin takes off his pants, his hands are shaking and you immediately feel bad. You put your hand on his in an attempt to calm him down.
“Hey, you don’t have to if you feel uncomfortable.”
“I do want this, but after so many failed attempts, I’m so anxious…”
“I’m not going anywhere, Soobin,” you insist and squeeze his hand reassuringly.
His skin complexion looks slightly less pale and your words seem to give him the confidence he so desperately needs. Moment of truth. Soobin takes off his boxers and…Oh damn, he was not exaggerating. He’s not just big, he’s so huge a part of you wonders how is it humanly possible to carry such a weapon around and maintain the gentle, humble composure with which Soobin carries himself.
“You’re not running yet,” he jokes.
“Soob?”
“Y-yeah?” his voice cracks, he is obviously terrified of what you’re going to say.
“I’m not gonna lie to you, I finally get why these girls ran away.”
“Oh,” he sounds a little dejected, as if already expecting you to go back on your offer.
“But! That’s not gonna stop me. Just tell me what you want first and I’ll try my best to make you happy.”
“Huh?” Soobin is too flustered to process your words.
“My hands, my mouth, or my pussy, what do you want first?”
“You mean…you’re willing to give me all of them?” he blinks in shock.
This poor, precious boy. Did he really face disappointment so many times that he is now looking a gift horse in the mouth with such uncertainty?
“Just pick, Soobie, I promise I’ll give you anything you need.”
“Um…can you suck me off? Please?”
Gosh, he’s so adorable you want to eat him.
You nod a little too enthusiastically and go down on your knees, taking as much of his cock as you can. It’s a tight fit but what you can’t put inside your mouth you make up for by wrapping your hands around him. You suck and lick and touch him, eager to give him as much pleasure as he did you. Your beloved best friend has obviously been frustrated for a while now because it doesn’t take him long to cum inside your mouth. There is so much you can’t manage to swallow it all despite your valiant efforts and you see some of it falling down your cheeks. You wipe it off with a finger, sticking it into your mouth, grinning widely at Soobin.
“Fuck, you’re incredible. What…how…are you okay?”
He presses his big palm against your cheek and it takes a lot of self-control for you to not melt right there and then.
“I’m great. Did…did it feel good for you?” you ask sheepishly.
You’re not particularly confident about your skills but you genuinely did your best for him.
“Are you crazy? It felt insanely good,” Soobin takes your hand, lifting you up and wrapping his arms around you in a hug.
“I’m glad,” you respond, feeling safer and warmer than ever before in your life.
“Do…you still want to…you know?” Soobin asks.
“If you’re asking whether you can put your cock inside my pussy, then yeah, go for it. As long as it’s something you want, of course.”
You keep reminding him to only do things he’s completely okay with, because you would hate to put your best friend in a situation he doesn’t enjoy just because of your greed.
“I want you so bad, you have no idea. But I think I’ll need to stretch you out a bit, yeah?”
“O-okay,” you quickly agree and in no time, Soobin’s long fingers are inside of your pussy, going deeper than your own have ever been and making you feel things you never even dreamed about.
“How does it feel?” Soobin asks in concern.
“Heavenly,” you admit and just as you’re about to reach your second orgasm, Soobin’s fingers leave you.
“N-no, why’d you do that?” you whine frustratedly.
“Wanna feel you come around my cock.”
As it turns out, you'd like this just as much so you quickly forgive him for ruining your orgasm.
“I think I have a condom in my-“ Soobin starts but you cut him off.
“I’m taking a pill. And I believe we’re both clean, so…”
“You gon’ let me fuck you raw?” Soobin inquires, not wanting to make assumptions.
“Yeah, I trust you,” you reply with conviction.
“You’re a dream,” Soobin chuckles and nudges the head of his cock against your moist entrance. You brace yourself for some level of discomfort and are surprised that it doesn’t come right away. Soobin takes his sweet time getting inside you, making sure you’re okay.
“Fuck, Soob, you're so big,” you moan, already feeling overstimulated.
“This is just the tip, baby,” he explains shyly, which makes you lose your mind.
Soobin goes deeper very slowly, making you feel every inch, stretching you out bit by bit.
“How much more?” you ask somewhat impatiently.
“Just a little bit. Can’t help it that your pussy is so tiny,” he teases you.
“Not my fault your dick is so gigantic,” you bite right back.
“I promise, I'll try my best not to split you in half,” Soobin jokes, which does little to ease your worries, but at the same time only makes you wetter.
“Keep talking to me,” you plead for him.
“Does it hurt?” he wants to know, as he keeps entering you further.
“It’s a good kind of hurt,” you explain, wincing slightly.
Once you’ve gotten used to it, you signal to Soobin that he can start moving and he does just that, fucking into you with an impressive speed. You try to meet him halfway, lifting your hips up for him, melting into one.
“You’re taking it so well, my darling best friend,” Soobin praises you relentlessly.
“Anything for you, Soobie,” you cry out in sweet bliss.
“I’m close,” Soobin confesses soon enough.
“Fill me up,” you beg him, almost in a daze, deeply affected by his overpowering presence.
He doesn’t need to be asked twice and spills his seed inside of you. It feels so good that you cum with him, walls clenching around his enormous dick. Soobin leans down to kiss you, further blurring the lines between friendship and…whatever this is.
Then, he takes his cock out and you realize something far more terrifying than his intimidating size - you are falling in love with your best friend.
Soobin quickly brings a towel and a bottle of water, taking care of you like no one else before. You want to cry, touched by his sweetness and falling even further.
“How do you feel?” Soobin brushes a piece of hair behind your ear.
“I feel…like I'm on another planet,” you confess shakily.
Soobin chuckles, visibly relieved to hear that.
“You’re so cute,” he murmurs, enveloping you in a hug. His large frame towers over you and if it was anyone else, you’d probably feel slightly threatened. But this is Soobin, and even though he just fucked your brains out, you feel completely safe and protected. Safe enough to be honest about how you feel.
“I know I promised not to be weird about it but…I don’t think I can go back to being friends.”
Soobin pales for a moment, scared of losing you.
“Why not?” he blinks, barely restraining his tears.
“I wanna belong to you,” you try to ease his worries by openly saying what your heart and soul desire.
“Oh…But baby, you already do,” Soobin suddenly beams with excitement. “And I belong to you, too.”
“I think you killed me a little,” you laugh. “Killed my pussy with your big cock and ruined me for other men.”
Soobin raises an eyebrow.
“Bold of you to assume that I’d let other men near your pussy. You’re all mine now.”
The End

not a burden|| a. Putellas × platonic!reader

warnings: literally none
a/n: Lowkey wrote this based on some personal experience and just had to get it out off my system, love the fear of missing out🤪
You always felt like a second choice. Like you were always there just when some of your so-called friends didn't have anyone else to hang out with. But that is also what your love life, or whatever you should call it since there's not even L from your love life in existence, looked like.
When you find someone you like or you're just attracted to, and you try to pursue it to see where the things go, you somehow end up being heartbroken because that person has someone else or they just haven't gotten over their ex OR you're just a distraction. In the most of the cases, you were just a distraction.
It happened too many times you thought it was a reason you were scared of commitment. That was also a reason why you were scared of opening up to people when you just KNOW they're gonna use it against you or just use you.
Another problem was, that you were a people pleaser. You'd always put someone else's happiness before yours. Even if it killed you. As long as you got to please someone.
Everyone on the team knew your fun, smiley, chaotic, spontaneous side. Almost no one knew the real you. You were always the one to make everyone laugh with your incredibly bad jokes or dumb ideas you always came up with. Even after a bad game, you were the one who would try to cheer everyone up and motivate them.
You were closest to Alexia and Keira. Keira helped you when you signed with Barça and Alexia took you under her wing when she saw how adorable you were the first time when you met her and were a big stuttering mess since she was your idol for a long time.
From time to time, you get into your head. There are some periods when you do nothing but overthink everything. From your performances on training or in the game, to just your relationships with everyone around you.
Everyone told you that you were a very likable person and that there can't be many people who don't like you. You strongly disagreed with that statement.
Especially, in this period when you can't help but think about your relationships in the team.
It was another day, another training, you woke up early in the morning like every other morning, had a little breakfast, and went for a 3-mile run. You just loved running it made your mind clean and easy, and your thoughts stopped running as your legs started. This was the only time you felt happy with yourself.
After you finished, your legs burned but you couldn't care less. You got a quick shower and then got ready for the main training of the day. As you were driving to the stadium the overthinking got louder. All you could think about was do you actually belonged there and do others wanted you there.
You were the first one there, as usual, you were thankful for that. You were walking slowly towards the locker room, when you got there you just sat there and stared at the wall across from you. Just sitting there, overthinking, you were so deep in your thoughts that you didn't even realize that the locker room was already full.
You quickly wiped the tear from your cheek and continued to get ready as everyone else. As you were getting ready to go out on the field, you realized that no one greeted you, like you weren't even there. That just confirmed your overthinking… no one cared about you.
What you didn't think about was that your cubby was far from others and that everyone else greeted you, you just didn't hear because you were spaced out.
Another thing that confirmed your overthinking was when you heard everyone else talking about some kind of team building that supposedly happened yesterday. This was the first time you heard something about that. Did they forget to invite you?
„I can't believe you did that! You and Mapi need to stop challenging each other.“ You heard Lucy say. The fear of missing out was triggering slowly.
„You're right about that, I think it's time for us to stop with that bullshit, “ Patri said with a laugh following, „What I'm more surprised about was that Alexia let us do it at her place!“
Alexia's place? Alexia hosted the team building night. And she forgot to invite you? Or she just didn't want you there and that's why she didn't invite you?
Your head started to spin. You quickly rushed to the bathroom, sat down on a toilet, and tried to calm down. It must've been a misunderstanding of some kind. Right?
You tried to convince yourself. You haven't heard from Alexia in a while, since she was still out because of the small injury. Maybe she got bored of you, she didn't want some stupid 20-year-old bothering her all the fucking time. Your head was just getting worse.
When you managed to calm down, you walked back to the locker room you saw that you were the last one there.
After a long day you had, you finally arrived home, you got into your apartment, locked your doors, and just left your training bag on the floor next to the door. You were too emotionally drained to go shower and too tired to go to the bedroom you found your couch and just laid down and just….stared at the ceiling.
At some point in the day, you fell asleep. You woke up the next day, and you were still too tired to move, you just sent a text to Jona that you weren't feeling well and that you wouldn't be attending training today. But you also realized that you didn't get any messages from anyone, literally nobody texted you. No one needed you.
You threw the phone away and continued with what you know best. Overthinking.
As you were just laying there, silent crying, the tears were just flowing out of your eyes, and you realized something.
YOU were the one who always checked up on others when they were missing from training. YOU were always the first one to text someone when you were planning something. YOU were always the one to make sure everyone got home safe after a night out.
That's right there.
That right there was what you kids these days call, your last straw. Your thirteenth reason.
At the Barça's training grounds, Alexia finally got back to train with the team, and she was really happy and excited about it. She greeted everyone on the way to the locked room. When she walked into the locker room, everyone cheered, like the queen just walked in…which she is.
The first question she asked was „Where's y/n?“ that made everyone look around and see that you indeed weren't there.
„Oh, shit, I knew that something was missing here, “Lucy said. After that everyone got on the field and Jona said that you weren't feeling well. Everyone just nodded with understanding but Alexia didn't buy it. Something wasn't right. You never miss training, even when you don't feel good.
At your apartment, you made progress... you went from the couch to the floor, since you always loved laying or sitting on the floor because it was comfortable. Still thinking how you're worthless and that no one wants you to be here. You finally took your phone and scrolled through social media, where were all the photos and videos posted from the team hangout. You saw how much fun they had... without you.
They were better off…without you.
You were a burden.
You saw the recent stories that everyone posted. Even Alexia. But still not one message.
The training finished and Alexia drove straight to your apartment. Fortunately, it wasn't far from the training grounds or her apartment, so she arrived pretty fast.
She walked up to the door and knocked. No answer. That made her knock a little louder.
„Y/n, please open up I know you can hear me.“ Alexia begged.
The knocking and the yelling made you snap out of it. You stood up and slowly walked to the door. You opened them but not fully.
„What are you doing here, Alexia?“ you asked tiredly. You didn't know how to feel about this visit.
„Um, are you gonna let me in or will I have to let myself in?“ she asked with a raised eyebrow.
You just sighed and moved to open the doors fully and let her in. When she walked in, she took a look around your place and then turned back to you and actually at your appearance.
„Are you okay? Are you sick? What's the matter?“ she asked with all seriousness. Every person who looks into her eyes can see that she cares, but not your eyes or your head.
„Why do you care?“ you said with a scoff and walked towards the living room.
That comment made Alexia confused. Why wouldn't she care?
„Of course, I care. You never miss a training even when you're not feeling well, you would attend a training. Even though I sometimes disagree with that you're stubborn“
„Sure you do.“
„Y/n, what is this about? Why are you acting like this?“
„ACTING LIKE WHAT, ALEXIA? Tell me, acting like fucking what?!“ you threw it at her. It took her by surprise, she didn't expect this from you.
„Don't yell at me! I'm your captain, and I ne- „
Of course, Alexia fucking Putellas!! Captain of FC Barcelona. Only cares about her team and the reputation of her team and that HER team makes HER look good in front of everyone else. She's always „busy“ with, so-called captain duties, that she can't even text me, or answer her phone when I call her. ESPECIALLY WHEN I NEED HER THE MOST!!“ you were just spitting everything out. It made you feel good. You couldn't stop, for once you made yourself feel better.
„ I'm so fucking tired Alexia…Why am I such a burden to you? Do you not like me or something? What did I do to you that made you hate me so fucking much? If I bother you so much, you should just tell me. Also, the whole fucking team hates me. I thought that for once I could say that I belonged somewhere, but no. I'm always the second choice or the third most of the time the last choice. No one wants me in this team…I'm a terrible player, I'll never be like you or Mariona or Caro.“ You broke totally. You started to sob. Alexia couldn't watch you like this, she wanted to help you and the first thing she thought of was to pull you in the biggest hug.
When you felt her arms around you, you broke down completely. She held you for a good while, her shirt stained from your tears, she couldn't care less.
You finally stopped shaking and calmed down. When you you were ready, Alexia pulled away but not totally. She put her hands on your shoulders and made you look at her, so you hear her out.
„First of all, I want to apologize for not checking up on you more often, especially now since I understand you're having a hard time. I would also like to apologize for not answering your calls but I have really been busy and I was planning on calling you back I just forgot. Second of all, if I ever hear you talk like that about yourself I'll personally kick your ass,“ as she was telling you this, you finally managed to look at her. You saw her eyes a little glassed because of her tears.
„I see you as my little sister, you're not a burden, y/n. And I want you to remember that. I don't know what made you think that but I'm sorry if I made you feel like that. And also if you want I can talk to the team about that but I can tell you for sure that everyone adores you.“ You listened to her and tried to trust the words that she was saying but your head was a little louder.
„ And I also wanted to say, you'll never be like Mariona, Caro, or me. You'll be way better than us combined, especially if you continue to work as hard as you do now. I idolize your hard-working habits.“ She finished her speech. And you believed her. For once, you think you have someone who will hear you out when you have this kind of episode.
„Do you mean that?“ you asked her hesitantly.
„Yes, I do. And when next time you feel like this, I want you to come to me. Even if I'm busy, I'll make time for you.“ She said and gave you a small smile.
You smiled back at her and pulled her in a hug. You needed one after a few very emotional days.
„Now, will you tell me what made you feel this way?“ she said while pulling away.
You rubbed your neck nervously while trying to form a normal sentence.
„Well, um, I sometimes have these episodes when I get really into my head and just think little of myself. Also, some events from my past just encourage those episodes to come out. And also when I saw some pictures online from the other day from your place…it just made it worse“ you told her.
„Okay, when another episode of this is about to come out, let me know. And what do you mean the picture from my place?“
„Well I heard that there was some kind of a team hangout at your place and I wasn't invited and my fear of missing out was getting the best of me…it made my episode worse“
„Ooh that hangout out“Alexia chuckled after that „It wasn't a real hang out, it was kinda spontaneous because my sister got engaged and she's friends with most of my teammates so we just celebrated at my place.“
You face palmed yourself. Alexia just laughed at you. You couldn't believe yourself right now.
„ It's alright, hermanita. Don't be so hard on yourself“ Alexia tried to comfort you.
„Thank you, Ale. So much, and I'm sorry for bothering you with my shit..again“
„Don't have to thank me, just score my goals for my team so it makes me look good as captain in front of everyone“ she teased you.
„oh god, I don't know how that came out of my mouth, I'm so sorry“ you apologized.
Alexia just laughed at your, „You don't have to say sorry for everything, it's okay you were emotional and you needed to take it out on someone“
You were thankful that Alexia was this understanding. Younger you wouldn't believe you if you told her that you're crying in front of Alexia Putellas and she's comforting you.
„If you don't mind me asking. What exactly happened in the past that made it so bad?“ she asked with a curious look
„If I start now I won't stop until tomorrow. It's a long story“
„Oh, would you look at that I'm free today. So start from the beginning.“
And so you did. You told her everything, from A to Z. You finally opened up to someone after a long time. And it felt good. It made it easier because Alexia was call, patient, and understanding. After that you were more open with everyone and communicated way more than before.
But if it weren't for Alexia, you'd probably be still lying on that floor and staring at the ceiling.

ALL CHARACTERS ARE 18+
Tumblr media
You're Isagi Yoichi's sister, his replica. Many older people thought you two were twins, radiating the same energy, and looking alike. Today was one of his best friends' birthdays. And ofcourse, as the good little sister you are, you couldn't miss it! Yoichi's friends were your friends, too. There was no way you'd let yourself not accompany your brother whenever they host parties for each other.
But today was rather different. It was his best, best (self-proclaimed) best friend's birthday, Bachira Meguru's birthday. Honestly, you were scared to attend his birthday. Why was that?
Well, despite the fact he's your fuck buddy, you never know what he's got up his sleeve or what new idea came up to his mind with the accusation that his “monster” thought of it, and not him. Bachira and you had been going at it for a few months now, and your brother never suspected a thing. After all, if you two were to ever get in a relationship, it might affect their soccer career. If you two were ever to date, who knows just what could happen next, right? A break up could affect how they see and treat each other on the field, and you know damn well that if you two were to date and break up afterwards, it would also change how Yoichi views his best friend and soccer partner.
You knew how much a simple mistake could affect their whole career and friendship, which was why you both ended up going to this simple, yet effective, relationship status. Fuck buddies. You and Bachira both acknowledged that there would absolutely be no catching of feelings. You both would do the deed with no romantic feelings, whatsoever. But, unbeknownst to Bachira, you broke that agreement of yours. You were, infact, catching feelings for him.
However, you could never bring that fact up to him, you could never confess that you love him. You signed up for just fuck buddies, nothing more than that, yet here you are falling for him. But how could you not? He was just the sweetest. Calling you all those lovey-dovey endearments during sex, praising you so well, being gentle with you after doing it, and giving you lots of intimate aftercare. It was like he was your boyfriend. Alas, you had to tell yourself that all of his actions meant nothing. It had no romantic feelings or any of the delusional thoughts you kept to yourself.
So here you are, getting all dolled up in your mirror, fixing your hair and makeup whilst taking a look at your outfit for today. You didn't know why, but somehow, you added extra effort on your makeup and hair today. Thoughts crossed your heads on what could happen today, but you decided to play it cool yet there was still a part of you overthinking things through.
A knock from behind your door suddenly interrupted you and your thoughts, “Sis, are you done already? We're gonna be late, y'know? We only have like .. 30 minutes left, we might miss the bus.” Yoichi, your dear older brother, scolded you from outside your door. You slowly then made your way, opened the door, and left your room, facing your brother. “Sorry.. my eyeliner got messy, I had to redo it.” you explained. Lie. That was a lie. You were just in your room, overthinking things and how this day would progress. “Let's get going then, shall we? We don't wanna be late for Bachira's birthday, he's expecting.” Yoichi smiled, as he led the way downstairs.
You bid your farewells to your mother and father, and left the house. Yoichi and you were quick to board the train to Bachira's place, and you swear your mind was racing with thoughts. A million what ifs were present in your head, and thank God Yoichi was there to snap you out of it.
Yoichi disturbed you from your thoughts, and snapped you back into reality as he placed his hand on your hand. “Are you okay, Y/N? You seem anxious.” he questioned, in which you meekly responded with a smile. “I'm okay, Yoichi-nii.”
A few minutes had passed, and you and Yoichi had arrived at Bachira's place. Before stepping in, you took a deep breath, preparing yourself, and soonly entered the house. An instant later, his mother was quick to welcome the both of you. “Ah! It's the siblings, welcome, welcome. They're in the kitchen, baking. Join them! It will be fun.” Bachira's mother welcomed both of you warmly with a hug. “Hello, aunty. It's nice to see you,” Yoichi said, before you followed after with a nod. “I'm sure Meguru's waiting for you two. Go on, I'll be in the living room, cleaning.” she chimed, and not long, you two were making your way into the kitchen. Once you made it, you were both greeted with beaming smiles from close friends.
It was the usual guys who were here, and it was.. well, really messy in the kitchen. “Hey Nagi-! You aren't supposed to do that!” Chigiri hissed at Nagi, which Reo chuckled at as he placed the cake inside the oven. “Ah- how do you..?” Bachira seemed troubled as Kunigami noticed both of you enter. “Look who's late.” Kunigami jokes, as they turn their heads to look at both of you and your brother. “Isagi…! My life saver.. can you do this? this is such a hassle..” Nagi groaned, he was quick to call Yoichi over. Chigiri gave you a wave, and you felt Bachira's gaze on you. It made you.. tense up. You didn't know why, but it somehow gave you an anxious feeling.
“Y/N, care to help the birthday boy over there? He's been making a mess with the icing.” Chigiri requested and you complied, heading over to Bachira's station, standing right next to him as you noticed the mess on his apron and hands.
“You're making a mess, Meguru.” you chuckled, and grabbed the piping bag from his hand. “Sorry, sorry, I was having a little too much fun.” he cackled, and you sighed in response, continuing to put icing on the cake. This made you wonder, why didn't Reo just buy cake for Bachira? He was rich and all… but aside from that, you couldn't help but observe Bachira. He was wearing those regular plain house clothes, black tshirt, and just some regular shorts. But somehow that made him .. much more attractive. He took his apron off that was covered in icing, and placed it somewhere on the table.
“Why didn't you guys just buy cake?” you asked, curiosity lingering in your head as you tried to sway the thoughts of how attractive he was being right now. “I thought this would be a fun way to spend time with you guys.” Bachira answered. Oh, so this is what this whole baking thing was for. To be honest, it was rather a hassle, you had no experience in baking, and you were just randomly following along the lines of icing Bachira had made. As you remained silent, you felt his gaze gawk at you, he was so close, and you felt anxious, It gave you chills. You wondered, what could he be thinking?
“Hey Bachira, where's the piping bag?” Chigiri interrupted, causing the silence and his gaze to avert away from you. “Oh.. but Y/N's using it.. right, I left it in my room.” Bachira smiled, still silly as always. “Then go grab it! Don't give me a smile!” Chigiri barked at him, it was one of those playful fights. “Alright!” Bachira hummed, and prior to that, he disturbed you from your focus on applying icing on the cake, and asked you to tag along with him.
You agreed to come along, although it does make you wonder, why does he need you to come with him if he knows the way already? You two were walking past the halls, and made your way to his bedroom.
“Do you have an ulterior motive, Meguru?” you inquired, and you heard him lock the door. “Sharp as always.” he hummed, making his way closer to you, he was right behind you, and he hugged you by the waist, resting his head on your shoulder. Bachira was tall, he easily towered against you. “You look gorgeous today, is it all for me?” he grinned, his voice laced with malice, and you knew where this was heading. “Aw, giving me the silent treatment? Ya know I don't like that.” he continued to press himself onto you, hugging you tighter. His voice was playful and a mix of something dark with it, lust. “Come ooooonnn.. give me an answer, baby.” he hummed, he was starting to grow impatient, as you turned your head to the side, unsure of what to say.
“We don't have much time, so let's make this quick, yeah?” he added, and you felt his hand slowly making way under your skirt. “Meguru.” you stopped him, you were unsure if you wanted to do this, not in such a risky time and place, but you know to yourself that you'll just eventually succumb into his touch. He just gave you a chuckle, as his fingers found your panties, giving your clit a few rubs from your clothed cunt. His other hand slowly started to rise, placing itself on your boob. His hand giving light squeezes and massaging it, in tandem with his fingers on your folds.
A few mewls came out of your mouth, as you tried to stop yourself from being too loud or making any noise. It was risky to do it at this place, especially with the fact your brother and friends were there. They could barge in at any time and question what you two were doing, but those thoughts never stopped you from mewling under his fingers, he was still rubbing onto your panties, and you felt yourself getting soaking wet.
“Alright, let's be quick, bend over.” he demanded, his voice stern, it was as if he owned you (he does own you), and it was so… so hot? You quickly did what he demanded, bending over, your head pressing onto the nearby desk and holding onto the edges of the desk for support. This sight was one of the best for Meguru, having your ass up and face down, all soaking wet for him, too. It made him hard as fuck. “be.. be gentle, meguru..” you murmured and shifted your head to take a glance at him. A cheeky scoff left his lips as you saw him pull down his shorts, and his boxers in a swift motion, revealing his hardened length to you.
“don't worry, love, I'll be gentle.” he assured you, and a smile filled with mischief followed that. You couldn't tell if he was being for real or not, especially with that smile he gave you.
You repositioned your head back, facing the empty wall and gulped down the lump on your throat, preparing for whatever Bachira had in store for you. You felt his dick slap against your soaking pussy, and a few thrusts just outside your hole, making you grow impatient. “hurry up.. megu- ah!” you tried to tell him, and you were quickly stopped when he inserted his whole length inside you, completely bottoming out, earning a whine from your lips. “so impatient,” he commented, slowly thrusting in and out of your cunt, and a few groans and grunts coming out of him. “so tight, too.” he murmured, and you could basically see that shitty grin on his face just with the tone of his voice.
After a few slow and shallow thrusts, he picked up his pace, and started thrusting harder and faster in you, causing you to roll your eyes back to your skull, and sinful moans escape your lips. Bachira truly never failed to make you feel good. He always had, you loved it whenever his dick would pound on you from behind, his fat cock would also create a bulge on your tummy, just to show how big he was. His hand made its way to your stomach, pressing down on the bulge his dick created. “see that? so naughty, you're taking me in so well.” he muttered out between his groans and grunts, while he slightly leaned over, his other hand traveling on your back and heading towards your head from behind, pressing your face on the desk, his hand had a grip on your skull, and he leaned in, whispering in your ear. “you like that? yeah? you like being dominated? such a dirty girl..” he mumbled, his husky voice ringing in your ear, and you let out another pornographic moan. Tears were starting to swell up in your eyes, you were thankful enough that you decided to put on waterproof makeup for today. “I'll take that as a yes.. your pussy's gripping me so tight-!” he grunted, before raising himself back again, and grabbing you by the hair, pulling you closer towards him and raising you as he continued to pound on your cunt. “your such a fucking slut.” he scoffed, his arm wrapping around your waist for support, to stop you from falling. His hand traveled down you, finding your abused clit from earlier and started toying on it again, sending you twice the pleasure.
You were fucked out at this point, no matter how many times you and Bachira did it, you would always be dumbed out by his fat cock. Your poor pussy always bullied by his cock. You couldn't even utter out a word to defend yourself, all that left your lips were blabbered nonsense, moans and mewls. “there there, I know your a whore, my whore.” he coos, and you felt yourself tighten around his shaft, the mix of his sweet words and those degrading endearments made you tight, you felt a knot on your stomach, you were about to cum, all because of this stupid guy. “boutta cum now, are ya? go on, milk my cock.” he encouraged you, his voice had a manipulative ring in it, everything that left that mouth of his had you weak on the knees, and you did just what he said.
You came on his cock. Your knees trembled, your shoulders tensed up, and a loud, long, moan of his name came out of your lips. Your face fucked out, as he came in just right after yours, painting your walls white.
A sticky 'pop!' sound was heard once he pulled out, your pussy oozing with his cum. “you did well, princess.” he praised you, with a kiss on the cheek. “let's get you cleaned up and go back, okay? Wouldn't want them suspecting anything now.” he smirked. Those words. Those exact words. You hated them, yet, loved them. He would always be so kind after sex, calling you all these lovey-dovey shits couples call eachother. He was giving you mixed signals. You dont know how long you'll last with him being like this, but you don't want it to end either. Which is why, you'll keep your mouth shut, for now.
You two were quick to clean up the mess you and he made, and grabbed the piping bag from the drawers and hurriedly returned back to the kitchen. “Chigiri, here ya go!” Bachira sang, handing Chigiri the piping bag. “what took you two so long?” he queried, raising an eyebrow of suspicion against you two. “The piping bag was missing.” you brushed off, an awkward laugh following after, and Bachira nodded in agreement. Somehow, you both managed to convince Chigiri, and just went back on the usual work.
what they didn't know was he had you all fucked, and his cum stuffed up in your cute pussy.

CW: discussion of death and dying.
The gun was still on her hip when Lena walked into her penthouse. She probably should have gotten rid of it, just for the sake of disposing of evidence. It was far from the only one she owned, and she wouldn’t miss it. Then again, one does not discard lightly the weapon of fratricide. She’d decide what to do with the murder weapon later; right now, there was only one thought screaming in her head.
I killed Lex. I killed my brother.
It kept repeating in her brain on an endless loop.
I killed my brother for a liar. A betrayer. He was right and I was wrong. She only-
Lena was not alone. There was a figure seated on her sofa, staring straight ahead. Lena knew those blond curls, falling in a dark river like warm honey. Supergirl.
Supergirl, not Kara. Kara was good. Kara loved her, trusted her, watched out for her, had her back. Kara kept her secrets and gave her a shoulder to cry on always had her back. Kara was good, and Kara was a lie.
Lena walked around the couch, eyes wide and lips trembling, her features pulled into a mask of morose fury. How dare she just break in here and… sit there.
“I died.”
Lena froze.
“I died,” Supergirl said, again. “The clone of me that Lex had, she was a duplicate created by Harun-El somehow. She killed me. I died.”
Supergirl’s brilliant blue eyes flashed in the twilight of Lena’s dark apartment and locked on her.
“There was nothing. No warm light of Rao welcoming me home to live in peace with my people forever. No tunnel of light. There was just nothing. I was gone and then I wasn’t. Alex said the grass brought me back.”
Lena licked her lips. She was fixed to the spot.
“Why are you telling me this?”
“I’m Kara.”
Those two little words, those treacherous words, hit Lena like a freight train. Her knees buckled and she sagged, catching herself by an end table.
Kara met her gaze.
“There were a million reasons why I never told you. They’re all stupid and pointless. When I woke up that was the first thing I thought of. I died and I never told you.”
Lena tried to speak, but her throat had gone so dry that it was like trying to breath through a mournful of sand. She sagged further, barely able to fall into a side chair.
“At first I just didn’t know you well enough. Then I screwed everything up by being a complete ass to you, and I never even said I was sorry. But I was sorry. So I was too scared to tell you because I didn’t want you to hate me. Then by the time I wanted to tell you again, all of this had happened and I was still afraid you’d hate me.”
Kara looked down at the floor.
“But then I was dead and none of it mattered anymore. None of the things that had been important to me mattered when I was dying. You know what I was thinking as she crushed the life out of me?”
“No,” Lena choked out.
“This is it?” said Kara. “All that… and this is it? Just like that? This is all I get?”
Silence ruled the dark apartment. The back edge of Lena’s gun dug uncomfortably into her flank. Kara just sat there, looking through the floor. Perhaps literally.
“Kara,” Lena said, without quite knowing why. “I’m sure… you weren’t…”
“No, Lena, I died. It wasn’t like when Reign beat me to a pulp and threw me off a building. That was different. This was different. I can’t even say how. I just know.”
When Reign…
Lena had been there that night. Reign had beaten Supergirl into a coma, thrown her off a building and left her broken and bloodied in the street. Lena thought she’d died that night.
Wait.
That was Kara, too.
Sharp, rancid bile, harsh and acidic, burned the back of Lena’s throat. She choked it down, trembling.
Kara looked at her again.
“I have something else I have to tell you.”
Lena needed a drink. Now. She wobbled across the room to the kitchen and grabbed the nearest wine bottle, pouring herself a glass and downing half of it in one go. It was a dry red, harsh and sharp on her tongue.
“Kara,” Lena began. “Before you say anything else-“
“I’m in love with you.”
Lena wasn’t sure what she expected Kara to say, but not that. Not just… say it. She couldn’t say it. Not when Lena has been grasping that secret so hard that it always threatened to slip from her fingers, reedy to leap from her grip from being held so tight. The words simultaneously made her feel as if her heels would float from the floor and nearly drove her down to it. She leaned on the white marble countertop, trembling.
“None of the reasons I kept that secret matter anymore, either. It’s okay if you don’t feel the same way. I’ll leave if you want me to. I just… I died,” Kara’s voice crumbled into a sob, barely intelligible, “and I didn’t tell you.”
Lena said nothing. She downed the rest of the wine.
“What do you want from me?” She finally choked out.
“I want to tell you about Krypton. I want movie nights and game nights and big belly burgers and brunches. I want to kiss you. I want to kiss you so bad I don’t know how I never did. If you want that.”
Again, Lena went silent.
“I want to make up for the shit I’ve put you through. I want to show you how much I care for you, as often and as thoroughly as I can. Dying without you fucking sucked. I want to live with you instead.”
Lena’s breath quickened. Kara’s boots creaked as she stood up, her cape billowing slightly behind her as she crossed the room, keeping a respectful distance.
“I’ll go, if you want. I just had to say it.”
Lena pressed her fingers against the countertop until they went white and her palms trembled. She felt the weight of the gun on her hip.
“Stay,” she whispered.
There is no prompt for this one. The idea just came to me and I had to write it out.

The days blurred into months.
Following the departure of the Sully’s, everything just seemed empty. You felt like you had been running on auto-pilot, pretending that there wasn’t a chunk of you missing since they left without even the utterance of a goodbye.
You felt betrayed, how could you not? The family who had taken you in had left you so easily, just based off one persons request. Someone should have fought for you, the same way you always did for them.
Above everything though, you just missed them.
You missed Tuk’s excessive nagging at you to play with her, you missed being dragged around by Lo’ak for whatever trouble he was up to, you missed Kiri’s advice and her hugs, and you missed Net-
It hurt to even think about him. Every time his name popped into your head, you’d push it out with all your might. If you sat and let it linger, you knew you’d fall into a bottomless pit of grief.
So, you did whatever you could to distract yourself. You invested more time into hunting. You had become the best hunter of your age group. You explored your creative side. You made neckpieces, arm bracelets and ionar’s for other Omaticaya people. You even made one of Mo’at’s Tsahìk statement pieces. But every night, you would go home to your lonely hut, and you’d reminisce and desperately ask Eywa why they had left you.
Eventually, you realised being in the place that reminded you of everything you lost was detrimental to your mental health. You couldn’t heal if you were surrounded by the memories of what your life once was.
So, one day, you readied your ikran, and you left with what little personal items you had to seek a new home, somewhere that wasn’t like the forest. Where the trees couldn’t remind you of Lo’ak climbing them to scare people as they walked past. Where the long grass couldn’t remind you of Kiri hibernating in it, atokirina swarming her body. Where the dirt and mud couldn’t remind you of making mud pies with Tuk. Where the empty Sully hut couldn’t remind you of your fight with Neteyam, where he confessed his love for you and flew off into the sun only an hour later.
You found yourself with the Metkayina clan and your new home became the Ta’unui village. Unbeknownst to you, you were so close to the Sully’s.
You were trained as a Metkayina, and you were a natural with the ocean. You could already hold your breath for long periods of time underwater, and you were a strong swimmer despite your skinny arms and tail. You fit right in, and you were at peace with where you were.
Then one day, the sky people arrived, they looked like Na’vi, but they wore soldier uniforms, had guns and knives strapped to their waist. They burnt your marui’s and pushed your Tsahìk’s face into the sand, all in search of Jake Sully.
You were out at the time. Every now and then you’d take your ikran for a fly around the reef because honestly, you missed it. Thank God you were gone, you weren’t sure what could’ve happened to the people if you were there and Spider saw you.
That’s when you realised how close to them you were. But you wouldn’t look for them, refused to. If they could let you go so easily, you would too.
More time passed, it got to the point where you could go a whole day without thinking about the two families you had lost.
You loved exploring the ocean, almost as much as you loved flying.
The smile on your face was hard to miss as you rode your ilu through the water, eyes catching onto every colourful piece of coral, every sign of life, the bioluminescence that shined so brightly, even under water.
All of a sudden, the water vibrated. It was minimal. Barely noticeable, you almost missed it. But you definitely felt it. You travelled the waters long enough to know it wasn’t normal. You bring yourself to the surface, curiously looking around at your surroundings, and then you see it. In the far distance, flames and smoke.
Your heart sinks. Is that another village being torched? You look back in the direction of your home, pondering whether you should just turn around and go back like you saw nothing, but you knew the guilt would eat you alive.
“Damnit.” You whisper, clicking your tongue at your ilu until it dives back into the water, taking you in the direction of the fire.
Once you got closer to the scene, you realised it wasn’t a village on fire. It was a ship inhabited by sky people. You knew what it was for. The Metkayina had told you stories about these demon ships.
You look around at the sinking ship from a distance. You can barely make out the colonel that torched your village on an ikran, shooting at something in the water. You see another ikran, but you can’t make out the rider.
You ride as close as you can, enough that you can’t be seen, but enough where you don’t have to swim for twenty minutes to get to the ship. You dismount your ilu under the water and it swims away. Slowly and carefully, you rise to the surface, covering your mouth in shock. It’s an all out war. Na’vi fighting sky people. You see demon boats, exo suits, guns and arrows. And so much fire.
You swim underwater (which was a bit of a struggle since you had your bow) to the ship and you sneak on.
You immediately have to take out a solider who spotted you, shooting an arrow straight through his chest and watching his lifeless body drop to the ground. It has been a long time since you killed somebody.
You stay crouched, navigating your way through the sinking ship, steering clear of other soldiers. All of a sudden, you hear a voice. A very familiar voice. You duck behind a pole, regaining your breath before you poke your head out, and the sight pulls a sob from deep within your body.
Lo’ak and Neteyam.
“They’ve got spider. We’ve gotta get him. Come on!” You hear Lo’ak say to his brother, who begins to shake his head. “Come on, bro. We can’t leave him!”
Neteyam lets out a frustrated growl, but then he chases after his brother, right in your direction. You quickly squat down, staying close against the pole as they pass you and head further down into the ship without seeing you.
You sit with your back against the pole, feeling months worth of suppressed emotions coming up. Your face scrunches up as you cry, head dropping into your hands.
You’re only allowed to feel for a few seconds, because the sound of footsteps heading towards you becomes more apparent, so you push yourself onto your knees, readying your bow.
When you see another sky person, you don’t hesitate to shoot them before crawling over to their body to retrieve your arrow. You look in the direction Neteyam and Lo’ak went in. You knew they could be in trouble, but was it your place to rescue them?
With a growl, you rip your arrow from the lifeless body and follow them. Sometimes you were too loyal.
You struggle to navigate your way through the sinking ships many aisles, so instead, you rely on your hearing. Your ears twitch as you listen in for any slight sounds, but you jump out of your body when gunshots come from nearby. You immediately fear for their lives and jump into action, running to the source of the sound to see Lo’ak and Spider jumping into a pool of water, barely missing multiple gun shots. You angle your body closer to the rail of the deck, spotting Neteyam hiding behind a wall, gun in his hand as he ponders the best moment to flee. You hiss quietly. He was always the brother to stay back to protect Lo’ak.
You take a deep breath in, drawing your bow at your side, waiting for any danger to cover him from.
He pokes his gun from behind the wall and shoots at nothing in particular before sprinting towards the water, narrowly missing gunshots.
Everything slows down. You see a solider stand, gun aimed straight at Neteyam’s back. You breathe out, firing your arrow at the solider. It lands in his chest just as he shoots his gun, which distorts the soldiers angle of fire. The bullet hits Neteyam‘s shoulder, and he jumps into the pool of water with a grunt.
You gasp, ears turning down instantly at the sound of his body hitting the water. “Please be okay.” You whisper to yourself, hand over your heart as you attempt to regain your breath. The sound of Neteyam hitting the water replays over and over in your head, and in a fit of rage, you rise to your feet, bow drawn, and you kill the remaining three soldiers in the area.
Once you clear the area, you jump into the same pool of water Neteyam had jumped into minutes before, swimming in search of him or Lo’ak or Spider. You click your tongue, waiting only moments for your ilu to appear next to you, stroking your head with its own.
In a hurry, you pull yourself onto the saddle, sitting up straight and looking around you. So much fire, so many machines, and so much death. But you manage to spot the familiar blue bodies a little further out on some rocks.
“Under,” you speak aloud to your ilu, and it obediently listens, diving into the water and swimming at a speed you didn’t think was possible, but it just showed this creature could feel your bond with Neteyam through you.
Once you’re at the rocks, you disconnect from your ilu, climbing the rocks without anyone noticing because they’re all arguing.
“Lo’ak, you put your brothers life at risk again! If that bullet hit a few more inches over, he’d be dead!” Jake yells at his youngest son, who simply drops his head in guilt. Neytiri is on her knees, presumably beside Neteyam but you can’t see him because Jake and Lo’ak are in the way.
“Dad, we had to save spider. We could not leave him there.” Neteyam speaks up, and you wince at the sound of pain in his voice.
Lo’ak is the first to see you. His eyes widen, having forgotten his lecture from his father, but he doesn’t move.
“Y/N?” He questions, cheeks stained with tears, yet a hopeful look in his eyes.
You didn’t blame his questioning stare. You had changed a lot while leaving with the Metkayina. Your hair that was usually just in tight braids was now only braided at the roots, falling into curls at your ribs. Your skin had turned slightly aqua from the sun and water exposure, and you were wearing a traditional Metkayina loin cloth and neckpiece, decorated by sea shells.
Suddenly, all of the Sully’s were looking at you, plus a Metkayina na’vi, but you don’t have time to say anything, because you’re almost knocked over by Lo’ak who tackles you in a hug, shortly joined by Spider.
“Neteyam… Is he okay?” You whisper, your voice slightly broken, and Lo’ak steps out of the way just as Jake moves aside, and there he was, staring right at you.
From his spot on the ground, he lifts his fingers to his head, the gesture of ‘i see you’ and you approach him with shaky knees before dropping to them next to him.
“You’re okay? You’re going to be okay?” You question him, eyes scanning over his body, looking for any other wounds. He’s scratched and grazed, but that’s nothing compared to his shoulder. Neytiri is applying pressure to the wound, but blood is still sleeping through her fingers.
“He’s gonna be okay. Bullet went through his shoulder. But we need to get him help, or he could bleed out.” Jake finally speaks, and Neytiri nods with him:
“I can take him to my vi-“
Jake cuts you off when he suddenly lifts his head, ears back in alert as he listens to his earpiece.
“He has Tuk and Kiri. Neytiri, he has our daughters.” Jake immediately stands, beginning to ask Spider for directions. Neytiri grabs your hand, placing it on Neteyam’s shoulder. She caresses Neteyam’s cheek for a moment, before mounting her ikran, heading back in the direction of the ship.
“I need you to take Neteyam back to the village to get him help. Please.” He looks at you with pleading eyes, and of course, you can’t say no. Neteyam needed you right now.
“Dad, I want to go with you.” Lo’ak steps towards him, eyes like an endless pool of sadness, and Jake barely spares him a glance before he’s turning around.
“You’ve done enough.” He mumbles, following Spider to the edge of the rocks and leaving you all behind.
“No, Dad.” Lo’ak whispers sadly, but he’s already gone. You frown, wishing you could comfort him, but Neteyam needed help right now.
Neteyam who is on the ground, grunting in pain as his body makes involuntary movements, and your heart aches to take all of his hurt away, shelter him so he never had to feel an ounce of it again.
“Okay, we’re going to get you on an ilu. Are you ready?” You ask Neteyam, but you don’t really wait for him to answer. Instead you look to the water, tongue clicking for your ilu.
“It hurts, so-so much.” Neteyam grunts, and your attention is immediately back on him. “I need to tell you. I’m sorry for what I di-“
“Shh,” you shake your head, tears pooling in your eyes as your free hand meets his cheek, stopping him from finishing his sentence. “Come on, we can talk about this later. We need to get you back.”
He looks up at you, the fear in his eyes almost knocking you over. Gone was the fierce warrior. The warrior who always protected his people, who showed no fear. Left in his place was just a scared, little boy whose eyes were welling up with tears, staring up at you as if you could fix the hole in him. “What if I don’t ma-make it back?”
A tear falls from your eye, but you swat it away. “Hey,” you say to him, lightly tapping his cheek. “You are going to make it. You are strong, Neteyam — Lo’ak! Help me with your brother, quickly!” You yell behind you, and Lo’ak and the Metkayina girl appear right behind you, already helping Neteyam up.
You keep your grasp on his shoulder, now using both your hands to put pressure on the entry and exit wound as Lo’ak and Tsireya guide him over to your ilu. They sit him at the front, and you sit behind him, guiding Neteyam’s hand to hold onto the saddle, while guiding his other hand to press on his entry wound. You keep one of your hands on the back of his shoulder, the other wrapping around his waist, before you connect to your ilu.
“Tsireya, go back with them. I need to help.” Lo’ak turns to Tsireya and cups her cheek, ignoring our pleas for him to stop and he’s gone only seconds later.
The girl, Tsireya, sighs, and you shoot her a sad smile. “Boys, huh?” You squeeze Neteyam’s waist the tiniest bit, and you knew if he wasn’t in so much pain, he’d be teasing you back.
You wait for Tsireya to mount her on ilu, and then the both of you are racing towards the village, with you constantly checking in on Neteyam to make sure he's still with you.
“Mother!” Tsireya calls once you land on the sand, and you struggle, but you manage to get Neteyam off the ilu and onto the sand, his body was weakening due to the loss of blood.
“Come on Neteyam,” you grunt, pulling him along with you, but his body begins to fall limp. “Neteyam!” You yell as he drops to the ground, lifeless.
You immediately drop next to him, grabbing his face in your hands and trying to shake him awake. “Neteyam!” You cry, lightly slapping his face, as if that would make a difference. His body remains unresponsive, unmoving, and you were too panicked to even check his breathing.
It’s all a blur, but the Tsahìk appears and two other men pick him up and rush him into a shack that you are not allowed to enter, all while you sit frozen in the sand, thinking you’d just lost the love of your life before you could even love him properly.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
An hour went by, maybe two, while you just sat in the sand, waiting for any word from Ronal. Not only were you anxiously anticipating news about Neteyam, but the other Sully’s were yet to be seen.
They all showed up after some time, all with their own grazes and cuts. Neytiri’s bow was broken, but the bond between Jake and Lo’ak had seemed to mend, at least a little.
Tuk and Kiri just pulled you into a hug, and you all cried together. You had all been in danger that day, everybody was scared, tired, and anxious at the absence of Neteyam. Spider and Lo’ak joined you soon after, the five of you sitting in the sand, staring out at the ocean.
“We wanted to say goodbye, you know.” Lo’ak speaks up, his gaze turning towards you. Tuk was between the two of you, nestled under your arm. “Dad wouldn’t let us. Said it’d hurt you too much.”
You breathe out, glancing at him for a second before looking back at the water. “Yeah, he was probably right.” You smile sadly, remembering the words Neteyam said to you that day.
“He is going to be okay, my friend.” Kiri loops her arm around your shoulder, nuzzling her head into yours.
You do your best to distract yourself from the anxiety you were feeling, and instead caught up with the Sully siblings, how their life had been since they left, how yours had been, and how this war even came to be.
“-and Payakan landed right on the sky pe-“ Lo’ak’s animated story is cut short by Jake’s voice behind you.
“Neteyam’s awake. He’s okay. He’s asking for you.” Jake’s gaze levels on you, a small smile on his face.
The relief that floods your system is unexplainable. Like all was okay again, there was nothing that could ever hurt you because Neteyam was alive and well.
You stand up, brushing the sand from your legs, and you make your way towards the shack, letting Jake pull you into a dad-hug on the way there.
You push the curtain aside, eyes automatically finding Neteyam who was lying on a blanket on the floor, head elevated by a makeshift pillow.
Neteyam smiles when he sees you, as best as he can through the weakness of losing so much blood, bags under his eyes. “Hi,” his voice is gruff and crackly, like he’d been in a coma for days.
“Hello.” You answer back, wrapping your arms around yourself for comfort, rocking back and forth on your heels as you struggle to decide what to do next.
Neteyam decides for you when he sits up just enough to reach your hand, and he pulls you over towards him, making you sit with him. You help him readjust his position so he can sit as well, back against the wall and injured arm wrapped in a sling. You sit next to him, back against the wall as well, heads tilted back as you search for the words to say.
“I thought I lost you for the second time today,” Your voice is shaky, like you were on the verge of admitting your feelings for him, just as he had vulnerably done so many months before. “When you fell to the ground, I was sure you were dead.”
He sighs, wrapping his good arm around your shoulders to pull you into him, your face nuzzling into his neck.
It felt so strange to be this close to him. After pretty much hating each other and being as separated as possible, to being joined at the hip gave you whiplash, but in a really cheesy way, it still felt so right. Like Neteyam was literally put on this planet to be your soulmate.
“I cannot die yet. I haven’t tortured you enough with my presence.” Neteyam attempts at a joke, and for a moment, you smile, but it quickly diminishes when he grunts in pain.
The two of you let the silence take over for some time, just wrapped in each other's arms, listening to the slightly unsteady sound of his heartbeat.
“You know, you broke my heart.” You speak after some time, voice hoarse as you look up at him, seeing a wave of emotion pass over him. Guilt, shame, regret.
“I know. I had to.” He whispers, looking straight back at you, teary eyes glistening in the light.
You feel your own eyes well up, but you pull your gaze away from him, looking down at your hands in your lap. “Why?” You ask, voice shaky as you try to hold back the sobs.
He pulls away from you and you feel your heart beat faster, thinking you had said something wrong. But then he’s cupping your cheek with the hand he could actually use and lifting your head until you’re looking at him again. “Because, it was the only way to stop you from coming after us. I had to break you to keep you safe.”
A sob leaves your body, you feel the tears running down your cheeks, gathering at Neteyam’s fingertips. Your eyes flicker between his. “Well, I still found you.”
Neteyam smiles, eyes full of adoration. “Yes, you did. You never listened to me, anyway.”
You laugh sadly, leaning your face into his hand, eyes closing as more tears fall from them. You’re close enough to feel his breath on your lips, and suddenly, you’re nervous to open your eyes again. You’d never been in such an intimate moment with someone before. Despite your best efforts, your eyes flicker open, immediately dropping to his lips, watching as they widen into a smirk.
“Neteyam…” You trail off, eyes roaming over his face, greedily taking him all in. “I see you.” You whisper, voice only breaking the tiniest bit as you place your hand over his one on your cheek, tangling your fingers together. You move your other hand to his chest, fingers splaying across his blue skin.
He doesn’t hesitate, just touches his forehead against yours, eyes fluttering shut. “I see you, my love.” Your eyes shut in relief at his words, and he takes the moment to press your lips together, conveying every word he ever wanted to say to you with his mouth as it moves against yours.
“She’s been in here for ages, bro — Oh.” You immediately tear away from each other, stuck like deers in headlights as every Sully offspring enters the room, all wearing similar expressions of shock.
Lo’ak raises his eyebrows, awkwardly clearing his throat. “Oh.” He finishes, chewing his lip to stop himself from laughing.
Kiri is the first to burst out into laughter, immediately joined by Lo’ak, and shortly followed by Tuk, who probably doesn’t even understand what she’s laughing about, but she does anyway.
You can’t help it, you smile the biggest you have in months, covering your face with your hands as you lean your back into Neteyam’s chest, knowing full well he was smiling and blushing too.
“You skxawng’s!” Neteyam yells through a fit of laughter.
Jake and Neytiri decide to join at this moment, and you wish the floor would swallow you whole.
“Who’s a skxawng and why?” Jake asks, looking around at you all, trying to find the answer.
Neytiri has a knowing look on her face. Just smirks as she makes her way over to you, taking the spot on the other side of you and pulling you into a hug, resting her chin on the top of your head.
The rest of the Sully’s follow, surrounding you and Neteyam, all connecting to you in some way, whether it was holding hands, heads on shoulders or legs touching, you were all connected, and finally, you felt whole again.
Sully’s stick together.

“You are not supposed to be here.”
“I left,” you admit, sagging into one of the worn chairs and letting your head fall into your hands. It’s late now, nearing dinner time, and you know Dr. Kim would normally be leaving. “I can go home. I meant to go home. But I left there and started walking and… ended up here.”
He regards you for a long minute. Then, as if he’s made a decision, he sits across from you. You’ve been just like this many times - he behind his desk, you across from it, working out a curse or a class-schedule - but it feels different this time.
You’re so ashamed you can barely stomach it.
You’ve never run away from anything in your life, not like this.
You explain it all, you leave nothing out. The dangers you faced, the mistakes and missteps. The way you learned what you really are, and began learning how to do something with it. How you’d slowly worked the curse to a tipping point. How you’d slowly fallen in love with Prince Taehyung, how you’d thought he felt the same.
But Taehyung throwing around words like Queen… it feels like too much. It feels like something you shouldn’t have, don’t deserve, haven’t earned. It feels like a trick or a trap, and you ran scared like a little bunny.
You tell him all of it.
When you’re done, you watch his ancient face for signs of what he’s going to say, if he’s going to chastise you for letting a job get so out of control.
You take in his expression and your heart sinks.
“You’re going to tell me I have to go back, aren’t you?” you lament, shoulders slumping.
“No, my dear,” Dr. Kim says kindly. “I’m going to tell you to go home.”
“Home?” you echo. “What, you mean, like… go home and sleep on it?”
“No.” He shakes his head. “Go home. To your family.”
Dr. Kim had never really understood the way things were with you and your family. You forgave him for it long ago - he clearly had a very different situation. You’ve learned that even more in the past few months spent with his grandson. But even though you know how pointless his advice is… you follow it anyway.
It’s a long train ride to your hometown, and you spend it pressed to the window, watching the backsides of buildings flash by until they give way to the greens and browns of the countryside.
You think about what you might say. You think about what your parents might say back.
You try to remember the last time you’d even spoken, before your assignment to Infracticus, and you can’t recall.
You spent last night alone in your apartment. It had felt all wrong, somehow - like it belonged to someone else. It occurred to you, as you’d walked through your living room, a hand trailing absently over the knickknacks and clutter, that you hadn’t missed any of these things while you’d been gone.
You’d slept fitfully, with the lights on, bolting upright every time you heard footsteps in the hall.
You walk from the train station; the season has turned in the time you’ve been gone, and the air is biting and cold, stinging your face and the inside of your nose. You slip your hands inside your sleeves, wishing you’d grabbed a heavier coat on your way out the door.
You stop a few houses down, leaning against an old, wooden fence. You watch your childhood home silently, rubbing absently at your chill-bitten nose.
You imagine going up and knocking on the door - because it’s been nearly a decade since the days you were comfortable just breezing in and out of their home. You imagine sitting down at the kitchen table, a steaming mug of tea between your frozen fingers, heating up by degrees. Imagine telling your parents, yes, I’ve been on assignment, actually. In Infracticus.
You imagine your father joking, I’m surprised you didn’t find a way to stay.
That’s exactly what you’d done, without even meaning to.
Is this visit supposed to be goodbye? Is it an attempt to ask for their blessing? How can you expect that - of any parent? How can you walk into their house, uninvited, and ask them to tell you goodbye?
Even if it isn’t forever - even if you can promise visits, regular communication - how can you expect anything like the permission you seek? It isn’t fair of you to even ask.
You stand in the cold and think to yourself that maybe you’re best off just leaving things how they are. Maybe keeping them from the truth is better for them.
Because this is what you’ve figured out, the knowledge you’re grappling with: regardless of Taehyung’s feelings for you… you’re going to ask him to turn you.
Even if he doesn’t love you, even if he doesn’t want you to rule with him, you’re going to walk away from your mortality.
The curse calls for the end of a life, and so your mortal life will end.
What happens after - with Taehyung - remains to be seen, it’s true. But you’d been wrestling with this question for days: would you be willing to give up your mortal life to save his immortal one?
Dr. Kim had heard the indecision threaded through your story, and had sent you here, knowing you needed clarity.
And it worked - everything is very clear as you stand alone on the street you grew up on, knowing there’s no place for you here.
You’d never built anything here. You hardly had anything to say goodbye to. No friends were blowing up your phone wondering where you’d been. Your parents didn’t even know you had gone in the first place. Even the university, your job, had simply slipped another professor into your place.
But Infracticus… Taehyung… those things fit.
You’d felt it in the way your magic slipped into the cracks of his, how they fused together easily, perfect counterparts.
You’d felt it in the way you could exist together quietly with the waves of the sea crashing just ahead of you.
You’d felt it in the way his hand wrapped around yours, the way he tried to stay a step ahead of you, moving obstacles out of your way.
You’d felt it in his heavy, hooded gaze, in his mouth against your skin, in his useless heartbeat against yours.
You fit next to him. Maybe - with time, with him - you could build something. In fact, you could build a lot of things. If his vision of the future really came to be, you could do a lot, could play a real part in creating something good, something lasting.
All you’d ever done here was daydream about a world you had no place in.
You’ll have a place there now - either leading at Taehyung’s side, or existing under his rule. Neither seems like a bad option.
It doesn’t feel real. But neither did any of it, at first. If things go how you plan, you’ll have plenty of time to adjust.
You pull your phone out of your pocket and check the train schedule, turning on your heel and heading back the way you came.
Unlike when you left Taehyung, you don’t look back. There’s no reason to.
You get back to the city in the early afternoon, and you go directly to the university. Dr. Kim looks up calmly when you enter his office, and simply says, “That was faster than I expected.”
You snort, the tension breaking, and he shuffles some papers as you take your usual chair.
“Well?” he asks, not looking up.
“I think you already know,” you say flatly, but he doesn’t hear you, because the sound of your voice is drowned by heavy footsteps and frantic knocking on the already-open door.
Dr. Kim’s eyes twinkle when he spots whoever is behind you, and you whirl in your chair, jaw dropping.
It’s, of course, Prince Taehyung, but he’s flanked by Satuel and Namjoon. All three of them are in jeans, and the sight of the prince dressed like one of the students here would make you laugh out loud if you weren’t so shocked by their presence.
He steps through the doorway, frowning deeply, eyes on you, and says, darkly, “I didn’t fake anything.”
As if this sentence has been itching to burst from him since you laid the accusation at his feet two nights ago, as if he couldn’t take his next breath until he refuted the very idea.
“What are you doing here?” you ask, standing.
“Come in, come in,” Dr. Kim says urgently, “and close that door before someone sees you.”
Maybe someone closes the door. Maybe they leave it open. Maybe a tornado rips through the room and carries everyone else away. You don’t know, because all you can see is Taehyung’s dark eyes, shining with emotion as he chokes out, “How could you just leave?”
“I had some things I needed to figure out,” you murmur.
He steps closer to you, filling the space, and reaches for your hands. “I never faked a thing,” he repeats, like this is the line he rehearsed. “I tried to explain, but you left so fast. My father may have told me he wanted me to pursue you, but all of it was real. I didn’t care about your magic or what you could bring to the family - I just wanted you.”
And, well, you’ve known that all along. But it’s nice to hear him say it.
Your eyes find the floor, head full of all the other things you two need to talk about. “Okay,” you say quietly.
“Okay?” he parrots, an edge to it. “Okay what? Okay, you’ll come back?”
You look up, but not at Taehyung. You look at Namjoon, and then over your shoulder at Dr. Kim. “I have to go back,” you say. “I figured out what we have to do to break the curse for real.”
You hate the feeling of everyone’s eyes on you in the crowded room, but now that everyone is settled in and ready to listen, you have no choice but to speak.
“Namjoon is the death magic expert,” you say, shooting him a little sideways glance. “So, chime in if something seems off. But I was looking at what we have… and reading similar cases… and I think we tried to get around the life for a life counter too quickly.”
“No,” Taehyung says immediately. “We’re not ending a life -”
You hold up a hand, silencing him. “It’s not your decision to make,” you say evenly.
His face contorts. “What are you talking about? Of course it is.”
You shake your head. “It’s mine. We’ll end my life - my mortal life.”
You have to clarify it twice to be heard over the outroar. Taehyung damn near stomps his foot with his cry of protest, and Dr. Kim has risen to his feet. Even Satuel looks struck, her eyes uncharacteristically wide.
“You mean,” Namjoon says slowly, the first one to piece together what you’re saying, “you’ll turn?”
You watch his face carefully for any hints at what he’s thinking, how he feels about this news. “It would work, right?” you ask, even though you’re about ninety-two percent sure on your own. “It’ll count as a life ending? Technically?”
He shoots a nervous look at Prince Taehyung, and then at his grandfather, like he’s not sure which one of them will be more infuriated by his answer. “I… I think it should, yes.”
To your right, Taehyung says your name, voice strangled. “That’s the plan?” he asks, as if begging for someone to tell him he’s got it wrong. “I have to turn you during the counter-curse to satisfy the end of life thread?”
You hold his gaze, your stomach knotting, your throat tightening until you can barely breathe. “Will you?” you ask, the words paper-thin.
He shakes his head, but it doesn’t seem like he’s saying no. “And then what?” he demands. “Have you thought about what this would mean?”
“Extensively,” you say flatly.
He looks around the room for help, his expression stricken. None comes.
“You can’t,” he says, imploring. “There are so many things that could go wrong - what if there’s some kind of attack, and I die? What if my father refuses to pass over the crown, and throws us in jail for trying? What if it does go as I’ve planned, but I go to trial and I’m found guilty for what happened the first night of the curse?”
You hear exactly what he’s really asking - What if you give up your entire life here and it turns out to be for nothing?
You frown. “Taehyung, you can’t live your life based on the worst-case scenario. Maybe none of those things will happen. But even if they do… don’t think that my turning has a… a price that you have to fulfill. I’m not turning just so I can be with you.”
His face goes blank. Before you can process what you’ve done wrong, Namjoon beans you in the forehead with an eraser off his grandfather’s desk.
“Say that better,” he instructs.
“Ow!” you protest, but the distraction helps you catch up to the moment. You meet Taehyung’s eyes even as you bend down to pick the eraser up off the floor. “What I mean is,” you say emphatically, “it doesn’t have to be any kind of commitment. I’ll turn because I want to, and because it will save you, and then… we’ll have time - all the time in the world - to see what comes next. Right?”
Taehyung’s jaw clenches and unclenches as he thinks. He looks around again. “Someone else weigh in here,” he begs, finally. “I can’t agree to this, can I? It’s too much.”
“Maybe we should let you talk alone?” Namjoon suggests, and you look at him, full of gratitude. But, of course, he’s been there all alone, has seen what was happening between you and Taehyung long before you were willing to admit it yourself.
“I’ll take you to the staff room for coffee,” Dr. Kim tells his grandson. “You can catch me up on the situation. But Prince Taehyung’s guard really ought to stay close to him.”
Satuel nods smartly. “I can stand in the hall,” she says, and you fight back a smile, knowing she’s choosing to give you a little privacy.
When they’re gone, Taehyung sags, letting himself sink into the misery of the situation.
“This is not a sacrifice I can allow you to make,” he tells you, eyes round, mouth pulling down unhappily at each corner.
You lean back against Dr. Kim’s desk, considering your words. “It’s not so much of a sacrifice,” you try to explain. “You’d be giving me something, not taking anything away.”
He watches you carefully as he says, “But you couldn’t come back. I mean - for a long time, as you adjust. And then, after, only at certain times, with permission… you’d give up this whole world?”
“Those permitted visits over an immortal life will probably add up to be more time here than I would have had normally,” you point out. “Just not all at once. And maybe, when I come visit… you could come with me?”
He doesn’t speak, just holds your gaze and nods tightly.
You shrug, toying at your bottom lip. “Then that’s already better than what I have now.”
He crosses to you, then, taking you in his arms, and you let him. You allow yourself just one second to be scared and unsure, and then you lean back to look up at him. “I want to do this,” you promise. “No matter what happens after. Even if you decide I’m boring and you fall in love with someone else and -”
He scowls. “Don’t be ridiculous.”
“I’m just saying,” you tease, smiling a little. “Even if the worst happens - whatever version of the worst you want - I still choose this.”
He shakes his head. “I don’t know if I can do it,” he admits. “I don’t know if I can hurt you like that.”
“I’ll be okay,” you promise, though this is the part that’s scary - the turning process. “I’ll be okay, because I know you’ll be there. I know you’ll take care of me.”
“Yes,” he pouts, “but who will take care of me while I’m panicking over you?”
“Namjoon,” you say sagely, pleased when a laugh rips through him, rumbling in his chest.
He sighs. “We’ll be okay?” he asks.
You don’t think he means individually. But you include it in your answer when you squeeze your arms around and say, confidently, “We will. I know we will.”
He leans down to kiss you, softly at first, his lips light against yours. Then, more firmly. You melt against him, happy to be held, happy to be loved, happy to see a solution shimmering in the distance.
“You know,” he says softly, when he pulls away, “I don’t want to add any weight to this… we can see what happens after, like you said. But… I consider you my intended. That’s just… that’s how I feel.”
A shiver runs through you, thrilling and terrifying both at once. “There’s time for that after,” you say, accidentally repeating what Namjoon had told you once. “I promise.”
Taehyung and Satuel leave first, though she practically has to drag him.
“Promise you’re following us,” he demands on his way out.
You laugh. “As soon as we nail down this countercurse, we’ll head straight to the Ostium.”
“Don’t even stop for food,” he warns, but you know it’s a joke. Or, partly a joke.
“Not even fries?”
He considers this, then turns to Satuel. “Actually, can we stop for fries?”
She rolls her eyes. “Come on. You need to be back before midnight.”
This sobers everyone.
“Perhaps for the last time,” you say hopefully.
“Don’t say that if you aren’t sure,” Taehyung says darkly, and then kisses you goodbye, right in front of everyone, like he doesn’t even care.
“I love you,” he says, low, and you feel it down to your toes. “Don’t do anything foolish until you’re back with me.”
“Roger that,” you try to smile.
Satuel and Taehyung disappear down the hallway, so lightning quick that you can’t even watch them walk away.
Dr. Kim goes to start a pot of coffee.
Namjoon gives you a wry, knowing smile, and begins to organize paper and pens.
The three of you work all night, and it’s after four in the morning when you finally sit back, set down your pen, and declare it ready.
It’s still before sunrise when you pass through the Ostium, pausing to bandage up your hands after crossing - you were prepared, this time.
It’s clear right away that something is very wrong; not only is Satuel not there to pick you up, as agreed upon before she left, but the Ostium isn’t even manned. The whole building is empty, your footsteps echoing as you cross to the door leading out into Infracticus.
Your heart racing, you turn to look at Namjoon. It’s clear he’s thinking the same thing.
“What the -?” you start, as you step out of the Ostium into the pre-dawn purple. A coach is parked there, a team of amarisca hitched and ready to go.
Beside you, Namjoon shouts, already starting to run. Too late, you see the prone body on the ground, on the other side of the carriage.
“Satuel,” you manage, covering your mouth in horror, as you round the corner and spot her. Namjoon crouches, holding her up. Thick, viscous sangru - what Infracti have instead of blood pumping through their bodies - pools around her, as black as her eyes. It looks like an oil spill around her. You spy a gash on her neck, but there must be more.
“The palace,” she gasps, her wild eyes finding yours. “The prince.”
“Go,” Namjoon instructs. “I’ll stay here, I’ll help her -”
You don’t wait for the rest. You tear around the side of the carriage and start fumbling with the clasps of the first amarisca until it’s free from the rest of the team.
You turn back to where Namjoon is still cradling Satuel’s unmoving body. “The prince has a private stable at the beach,” you call to him frantically. “Get her there - I’ll send help as soon as I can.”
Namjoon nods in understanding, his face drawn and desperate, and you dig your hands deep in the amarisca’s mane and throw a leg over, urging it to move, clinging tightly as it begins its rocking gait over the road leading to the palace doors.
The palace looms in the distance, and you urge the amarisca to go faster, squeezing your calves and whispering pleas, though the latter does nothing for you. It seems like it’s not even getting closer, though the trees stream by you on either side.
Please let him be okay, you think as you frantically ride. It’s almost dawn - he would just be coming out of the curse, any second now. If the palace is under attack, would it be a hindrance or a help for him to be only beast?
Finally, the palace seems to grow in size, looming over you as the road curves around an approach.
You’re knocked from the amarisca’s back so quickly that you don’t have time to register what happened, hitting the ground with an unattractive grunt as all the breath is knocked from your lungs.
“Fuck!” you scream, as soon as you can inhale, pounding a fist against the dirt, because you failed, didn’t even make it to the palace, and now you’re going to die at the hands of some random Infracti, at the side of the road -
“Shut up,” the Infracti hisses, tugging at your arm, and you go limp because you think you might recognize his voice.
“S-Seokjin?” you whimper, turning to see if you’re right. You are, but he doesn’t answer you as he pulls you swiftly away from the road. Now you’re less sure you’re about to die, but it’s unclear.
“Listen,” he says, quietly, tugging you behind some brush and crouching. You follow his lead, eyes wide. “We’ve got about thirty of us infiltrating the castle. Probably a few teams are already in. They’re going after the royal family - that’s their only goal.”
“You’re - what?” you stammer.
“Focus,” he snaps. “I’ll help how I can, but I’m not going to out myself, and neither will Jungkook. Get in there, find Taehyung, and get him out. I don’t care where you go with him - just out of the palace. Don’t worry about the King and Queen, protect Taehyung. Can you do that, witch?”
You nod, unable to speak, mind already flying through your memories of the palace corridors, trying to think of the fastest way to the rooms where Taehyung spends his cursed nights.
“Go,” he urges you, releasing your arm. “I’ll cover your back as best I can until you’re inside.”
“Thanks,” you let out hollowly, taking a steadying breath. And then you run.
The first set of doors you come across is locked from inside, but you press your hands to the metal mechanism and call for all the magic you can reach until you hear gears turning, and - finally - a telling click.
You let yourself inside and quickly scan the corridor. It’s deserted - which is honestly a bad sign. The guards are somewhere else, which means there’s already trouble somewhere else.
You jog, making sure to peer around every corner, knowing that if any of the Score soldiers hear your heartbeat or smell your blood it’ll be over before you can even fight it. But there’s not much you can do, and you’ll be safer once you find Taehyung, so you hurry on until you reach the wing where he spends his nights.
You hear voices before you see them, but you round a corner to find a crowd of guards - Taehyung’s guards. He’s standing at the far side of the group, dictating orders. Over their heads, he spots you, does a double take. You watch him close his eyes for the barest second, relief clear on his face, and then he’s waving you over even as he continues speaking to the Infracti closest to him.
“Change of plans,” he’s saying as you approach, breathless. “The ten of you, join that group, get my parents to the safe room.”
“But, Maiesti, that leaves you without -”
“I don’t need you,” he says, sure, looking at you. “Not now that she’s here. My parents are sitting ducks. My venefici can fight with me.”
A few Infracti call out orders, and they separate into three groups, filtering out of the hallway in waves, leaving you and the prince quite alone.
“Did you just send away all of your guards?” you ask, horrified.
“My parents need them more,” he says, tone steely. “I’m not going to run - I’m going to take out as many of them as I can. Will you stay and fight with me? ”
“Taehyung,” you say frantically, trying to break through his resolve and get him to hear you. “They got Satuel - I had Namjoon take her to Potato’s stable, but it looked really bad.”
He stands there, frozen, caught between fighting for his family or saving his trusted guard. You know what choice you’d make, but you wait silently, anxiously shifting from foot to foot, and let him get there by himself.
“Alright,” he says finally, clearly displeased. “Fastest way to the stables is through here.”
Taehyung gets what he wants anyway. You hardly get anywhere before stumbling across a pack of the Scores.
They’re ready for you - five of them, all crouched defensively - likely heard your traitorous human heartbeat. But they don’t know who you are; they don’t know what you can do.
You send a blast towards their feet, which knocks three of them onto their backs. Beside you, Taehyung moves like liquid, in a way you’ve never seen before, a dark blur vanishing from your side and reappearing down the corridor, locked hand-in-hand with one of them, snarling viciously as they clash.
You can’t just stand and watch; the second Infracti you’d left standing is zipping towards you, a flash of motion, and you throw a wall up around yourself. He hits it with a sickening crunch before falling to the ground. Down the corridor, Taehyung seems to have finished off the one he was wrestling with, and is now rolling over a second man, fangs bared and black with sangru, growls and snarls rippling out of both of them.
You can’t watch, can’t keep an eye on him, because the two remaining Scores are up and they are pissed. You don’t have a single second to think, you can only react. You throw a hand towards the ceiling, shouting the spell you’ve favored since the beginning, and a large chunk of stone falls with a boom that rattles your bones, nearly knocking you off your feet. Dust flies into the air, and you shield your eyes, coughing a little.
You take stock of the situation as soon as you can see again. You only got one of them with the chunk of ceiling, and you can hear Taehyung still fighting on the other side of the unsettled dust. Which means there’s still one -
He’s on you. You don’t even know which direction he came from, but you’re on the ground and he’s snarling over top of you, fingers digging into your upper arms, black eyes narrowed in effort, fangs bared.
You kick and buck, trying to get free enough that you can use your hands and try to throw a spell, but nothing works.
“Taehyung!” you scream, and then the weight is off of you - as if the Infracti was never there. You sit up, frantically, and then you find him - rolling in battle just feet away, snarling and snapping at a sandy-haired body that growls loudly back.
Jimin.
You run for Taehyung, but he meets you halfway, hands reaching for yours desperately. There’s a smear of sangru down his face, but he seems okay.
“Jimin,” you pant, pointing behind you, and Taehyung vanishes into a flash of color again, rushing to help his friend.
By the time you reach them, it’s over. The Infracti that had pinned you lies still on the ground, his head at an angle that makes your stomach lurch.
“You have to get out,” Jimin blurts. “They’re here for you, they only want you.”
“We’re going,” you say, trying to give Taehyung a tug. He doesn’t budge. A growl rumbles from his chest, but it’s subdued. He’s not fighting, just frustrated.
“I know you want to fight,” you say, still tugging, “but Satuel -”
“Shhh,” Jimin says suddenly, holding up a hand.
You freeze, listening.
They’re already here.
They come in that formless blur of color, surrounding the three of you and stilling, their bodies filtering back into view.
Everyone is moving at once. It’s impossible to keep track of anyone, friend or foe. All you can do is try not to become anyone’s prey.
You choose a direction and slam a burst of magic at them. It knocks two of them back, but there are more coming for you.
Your fear gets the better of you; you forego defensive walls and arc your hand over your head, shouting a spell that’s meant to cut, one of the few offensive moves you’d practiced what feels like ages ago.
Time slows as you watch black sungru spurts from an Infracti’s chest, her eyes rolling back as she staggers to her knees before dropping.
Another Infracti flies towards you, lightning fast, face contorted, fangs ready. Somebody tugs you out of the way, and you stumble after them, getting it together enough to throw up a wall between you and the attack.
You glance backwards enough to see that it’s Jungkook who saved you, but you can’t dwell on it. Just ahead of you, Jimin’s raking his teeth across someone’s neck, sangru bubbling down their throat in the wake of his fangs. He drops the body unceremoniously and launches himself at another.
You look around frantically, trying to find Taehyung. You don’t find him before you’re grabbed from behind. You scream, feeling fingertips digging painfully into your upper arms. You throw your head back as hard as you can and hear the crunch as you make contact.
You spin around wildly, throwing a blast that sends your assailant flying across the corridor. He crumples to the ground, and you turn away, going back to your search for Taehyung.
You spot him just as one of the Scores leaps onto his back, the same way they’d done to you moments ago. Taehyung twists in the other man’s grasp and gives a brutal kick; the Score staggers away and Taehyung launches himself at his attacker, knocking them both to the ground. When Taehyung bares his fangs and lowers his head, you look away. But you still hear the scream cut short into a feeble gurgle.
To your left, Jimin is grappling with one of them, their hands locked. You throw a protective wall around yourself and inch closer, trying to determine if you can help without hurting Jimin, too.
Jimin spots you, his eyes widening.
“Back up!” you yell, trying to make your way closer.
His face goes taut and he gives you a nod, understanding what you mean to do. He gives the Infracti he’s fighting a mighty shove, successfully putting a few feet between them.
You attack instantly, before the gap can be filled, sending a blast so strong that it knocks Jimin backwards, too. He lands gracefully, having only been grazed, and gets up quickly, looking between you and the Score you’d just flattened against the stone wall.
“Nice shot,” he breathes.
“Help Taehyung,” you answer, panting.
You both take off down the hall to where you’d last seen the prince. He and Jungkook stand alone, two more bodies motionless on the ground between them. They’re both breathing hard.
“We have to go,” Taehyung manages, as soon as he spots you.
Jimin steps towards Jungkook and for a second you panic, thinking he doesn’t know that Jungkook is on your side, but instead of fighting they seem to hug - clasping the back of each other’s necks and pressing their foreheads together for one breathless second before breaking apart again.
“Stay safe,” Jungkook says. It comes out like a warning.
“You, too,” Taehyung says, and steps past you, grabbing for your hand as he goes. “We’re almost out - let’s move.”
Day is breaking in full when you finally breach the palace’s walls.
“Hurry,” you say needlessly, rushing to the stone stairs that lead down to Taehyung’s private stable. You hope Namjoon made it there, you hope Satuel is still hanging on.
You’re shaking so bad that you miss a step, adrenaline wreaking havoc on your systems. You catch yourself on the banister and continue on, Taehyung and Jimin right behind you.
There are no guards at the stable, and you burst through the door in a rush. Namjoon jumps to his feet, a rake in his hands like a weapon.
“It’s us, it’s us,” you blurt out, trying to look past him. “Is she - are we in time?”
“I really don’t know,” Namjoon admits, lowering the rake and letting you all inside. Jimin closes the door carefully, locking it from the inside.
You make your way into the empty space beside Potato’s stall, where Satuel’s body lies. She’s unmoving; it doesn’t seem like she knows you’re there.
“Okay, Healer,” you say, looking at Taehyung.
He kneels by his guard’s side, examining the places where she was ripped open. He shakes his head. “This requires more than I’m capable of.”
You step closer, kneeling beside him. “What if I help?” you suggest.
He looks at you, something unreadable flashing across his face. “You think you could?”
You nod. “If we merge magical signatures, the way we did for the ritual? You should be able to pull from my power - borrowing from me. I’ll be like… a battery?”
He smiles despite the desperate situation.
“Alright,” he says. “Let’s try - we’ve no time to spare.”
You settle onto your bottom on the dirty, wooden floor. Taehyung takes your hand, and you close your eyes and focus on your breathing, inhaling and exhaling as slowly as you can with fear still running rampant through your system.
After a few minutes - admittedly longer than normal - you feel your magic rise up inside you, warm and soothing and ready. You feel the familiar sensation of it reaching for Taehyung’s magic, little tentative tendrils poking around until they find the empty spaces between his.
The feeling when the two magical signatures meet and accept each other is euphoric, and you fight not to lose yourself in it, to stay focused.
Beside you, Taehyung starts running his hands over the visible gashes, the places where it seems like chunks are missing. The skin stitches itself back together easily under his touch, but you can tell it isn’t enough. Satuel doesn’t stir, her unfocused eyes staring blankly at the ceiling above you.
You can feel it, the exact moment when what he’s trying to do becomes too much for Taehyung’s magic. It pulls on yours sharply, an alarming sensation behind your ribcage.
You inhale. You exhale. You don’t fight it. You let him tug magic from you, you tell your systems that you trust him with all of it.
Taehyung doesn’t give up, keeping his hands above Satuel’s undead heart, letting your magics both flow into her, fixing what’s been broken, restarting what’s shut itself down.
She blinks - that’s the first sign. Her eyes blink once and then focus on Taehyung, and then slide shut. They stay shut, which alarms you, but then you see her fingers twitch.
“Your Majesty,” she breathes, eyes still closed. You sag with relief, and you feel your magical connection to Taehyung untangle, your magic curling back up inside you, tendrils coiling back up and retreating.
Taehyung closes his own eyes, but he doesn’t release your hand. Behind you, you hear Namjoon press closer.
“Rest,” Taehyung says. “All of you. We should be safe here. Rest.”
You settle in on the floor, backs against the wooden walls of the stable, eyes on the door. You listen to the ocean pound the shore outside, listen for the cries of gulls to warn of danger. Namjoon sits to your right, his tight gaze on the door. Prince Taehyung crouches to your left, ready to spring to his feet.
It’s over an hour before Taehyung’s guards find you, inform him that the palace is clear.
“My parents?” Taehyung asks, standing and brushing hay and dirt from his pants.
“The King and Queen are perfectly alright,” the guard tells him with a quick bow.
Taehyung straightens beside you, and you recognize him in royal mode, even before his voice comes out cold and controlled. “Very well. I need Satuel to be taken to the Elders for proper healing. And tomorrow morning I’ll be having an audience with my father and the curse-breakers. Please inform him.”
The guard bows again and backs out of the doorway, probably to go get backup to help move Satuel’s weakened body. You look at Taehyung quizzically, but you don’t feel afraid, not with his hand still in yours.
He meets your gaze evenly. “A year ago,” he says, still cold, which means he’s scared, “my father made me some promises, and broke them. Tomorrow, he’s going to make me a few more - and you’re going to help me make sure he can’t break them again.”

Walking down the trail back to the Ramshackle Dorm feels nostalgic after being stuck in the training camp for a while. Finally going back to your own dorm after a week of chaos is such a great feeling. Stretching your arms up in the air, you let the warm breeze welcome you back home.
"Never thought there would be a day that I would miss our precious dorm." While you seemed to be happy being back, Grim on the other hand is on a whole new level of joy, feeling free from everything - eyes sparkling and the fire of his ears start to go brighter.
"My sweet soft bed! No more errands from those professors and students finally I can sleep in peace."
"Grim wait- and there he goes." Before saying another word, the cat monster immediately speed towards their dorm leaving you alone on the trail. '
Silly Grim, I'll make sure that he gets his favorite tuna later.'
The prefect continue walking down the trail enjoying the scenery - birds chirping, tree leaves dancing in the air and a certain dorm leader standing in front of their garden.
Such a wonderful sight brought a smile to your face as you quietly walked behind the person - trying to give them a scare by covering their eyes but then unexpectedly your surprised (eye color) eyes met excited bright green ones.
"Child of man, you are back. You were gone for some time." Malleus muttered, his hands holding your hands together gently as if anytime you are going away for another long time. Seeing how your lover looks like a sad dragon, you find your hand patting his head and gave him a kiss on his hand.
"I missed you too, Mal! Let me tell you what happened during the camp, I wished you were there." The two of you sat together under the tree near the garden, Malleus laying comfortably on your lap as you continuously run your fingers through his hair and horns. From morning till noon, the ravenette listen to all of your story with an unknowing pout on his face.
'It's been a while since I last saw you.' Being away from you for some time made the dragon yearn for your affection and wants to drown you with his own love. 'But you look so happy talking about other humans.'
Hearing stories of you having fun without him makes him a little sad. A sigh escaped his lips making you sneak a glance at Malleus' face. Noticing how his mood changed, you poke his forehead with a finger and let out a giggle when he somehow looked confused with your actions.
"(Nickname) why did you stop?" He sat up and look at you curiously. You crossed your arms in front of your chest and puff your cheeks out - looking the other way with a huff.
"Aren't you forgetting something? I am really hurt." Although you said it as a joke, there are so many thoughts running to the Draconia's mind at the moment. Did you get offended in some way? Or did you read his mind? Did you not like his hair condition?
A laugh cut his brainstorming in a halt and all of his problems were solved the moment you opened your arms wide with a grin.
"You goofy dragon. Hug me!"
Ah, it was so easy. How can he be so foolish? Malleus chuckled at his own dilemma, looking directly to your eyes before engulfing you into a warm hug - burying his head to your neck and let out a soft sigh as if he is in the safest place in this wonderland.
"I am really back home, Mal."

BLADE
It wasn't your first time seeing Blade, the feared sword of the Stellaron Hunters. You had already met before, at the Xianzhou Luofu's Divination Commission fight. You remembered his glowing red eyes, the burning gaze that seemed to have imprinted itself on the inside your eyelids. You just can't… stop thinking of him. With the situation in Xianzhou Luofo somehow dissipating into an uneasy calmness after the fight with the Ambrosial Arbor's huge deer thing, you had resorted to going around the giant flagship and looking for treasures in the remote corners of the streets. You never expected to see Blade on one of those treasure-hunting expeditions. "Hello, little mouse. Lost?" His smile is sinister and you felt your heart drop to your stomach. You were frozen, though what really scared you wasn't Blade himself-- it was more of your morbid fascination with this supposed enemy of yours and the Astral Express. "Seems like cat got your tongue, hm?" Blade left his shadowy spot and stepped into the light, ignoring the fact that his face is literally plastered on wanted signs everywhere in the Xianzhou Alliance. He neared you, head tilted just a little bit, seemingly sizing you up with interest and zero fear. "What do we have here?" Your throat actually closed up, no words forming even as your mouth parted slightly. You should be pulling out your weapon, or even just call for someone to help… but no, you just continued to stand there as if Blade had you in a trance. "D-don't come any closer!" You hated how you sounded so weak, but you hated how your body fell into his arms almost like a limp doll as he closed the distance between your bodies. Blade's eyes were trained on your lips, and when his tongue darted out over his own upper lip, you already know you've lost whatever battle it was. "Wait--!" You managed to squeak out as Blade surged forward and your lips clashed. There was no hesitation, no other thoughts, just the feel of his lips and his hands almost bruising your skin with how tight he was holding onto you. His kiss was as passionate as the fire you remembered burning in his eyes. Captivating. Dangerous. Just as you started to reciprocate, Blade decided it was enough. He pulled away with an evil smirk to look at your haze-dulled eyes, tucking a strand of stray hair from your face to behind your ear. "We'll see each other around, won't we, Y/N?" And just like that, Blade disappeared back into the shadows. The only thing that remained and proved that he was really was there was the lingering warmth left on your lips that you surely won't be forgetting anytime soon.

DAN HENG
Dan Heng has been holing himself up in his room at the Express the entire day. He didn't show up to eat with the entire crew that morning, lunch, or snacks. He even missed Pom-pom's coveted cupcakes with strawberry frosting! Worried, you decided to check up on him. You knocked on his cabin door, though you were already expecting to not hear a reply anyway so you started banging on the metal. Dan Heng could not just ignore a ruckus right outside his door, right? Whatever. Before you could intensify the noise, you heard Pom-pom yelling for you from the next hallway and felt fear strike you at what the terrifying conductor would do to you. You've heard from March 7th that Pom-pom does not take lightly to annoyances in the Express. Suddenly, the door opens and Dan Heng yanks you in. You let out a surprised shriek, but Dan Heng quickly covered your mouth with his hand. He then put a finger to his own lips to silence you as you both heard Pom-pom's tiny paws stomp down the hallway looking for you. "Y/N!" Pom-pom sounded really miffed, and you could hear your heart pounding. Not out of fear of Pom-pom, no-- Dan Heng's body was flush against yours as he had pressed your back onto the closed door of the Archives room. He wasn't looking at you, instead peeking at the stained glass window to check if Pom-pom had any idea of where you went. "Dan Heng--" You whispered, muffled by his hand, feeling hot and embarrassed. He shushed you quickly and quietly, still watching Pom-pom's movements. "Can't breathe!" You add, and he looked away from the window to glance at you. He blinked slowly, as if realizing what he's doing, then lowered his hand away from your mouth. He might have released you, but you were still squished between the door and Dan Heng. His hot breathing burned the tip of your ear, and you can feel his own rapid heartbeats against your shoulder. Pom-pom was still audibly stomping around on the other side of the door, but all that mattered to you was Dan Heng in front of you-- and could the Aeons really blame you for what you did next? Your arms ended up looping around Dan Heng's neck, suprising him enough to pull away slightly, but your hold had already secured him in place. In a split second, your lips were on him, and the surprised noise from him almost made you stop; until his own hands settled on your waist. Dan Heng kissed back with all the gentleness he rarely displayed. "Oh." You murmured when the kiss ended, a bit dazed. "I- I was just checking up on you." Dan Heng snorted at your embarrassment, and you hit his arm. "Are you sure it wasn't just to do that?" Dan Heng raised an eyebrow. You ended up whining, hitting his arm again, but you both shared a smile. Maybe a few kisses after as well.

GEPARD
You were just helping Serval around the shop that day, having nothing else to do and lured in by the promise of Serval treating you to some sweet Osmanthus tea after finishing the job. It was more of you just sitting on a stool and listening to Serval talk while she fixes the circuits on some gadgets, but it was free snacks nevertheless. Gepard arrived not long after, hair a wild blonde mess from the wind outside. He froze at the doorway, seemingly surprised to see you there. "H- hi, Y/N." He then cleared his throat. "I didn't think you'd have some free time. I heard from Oleg that you're on an expedition--" Serval cut her brother off with a wave. "They're here to help me, Geppie." You only just smiled as Gepard nodded and occupied the stool next to you. "And you're here because..?" Serval trailed off as a loud ringing went off from the other room. With a sigh, she excused herself from the main room of the workshop, muttering about the new invention. "Is my sister being too much? You can always tell me if so, I'll be the one to tell her to stop bothering you." Gepard offered, looking for anything to distract him on the desk. His large hands fiddled with a loose coin-sized gear. "I know you're busy, Y/N." "It's alright; Serval's just lonely. She misses her little brother." You chide, elbowing him slightly. Your elbow was met with a wall of toughened muscles and you wondered if Gepard even felt it. "Anyway, what are you doing here? I thought the captain of the Silvermane Guards never takes a day off?" "I…" Gepard suddenly reddened, pursing his lips. You furrowed your eyebrows in concern, leaning closer to ask if he was okay or if he needed anything. He finished his sentence, though it was barely audible to you: "…wanted to ask Serval for advice on how to ask you for dinner or lunch…" "Why ask Serval when I'm already here?" You laughed, still fully in Gepard's space. He timidly scratched his neck, burning in embarrassment. "Well, to make things easier for you, captain… I do want to try that newly-opened restaurant in front of Goethe Hotel. I heard they make amazing Trotter steaks!" "Wait-- you're saying yes? You'll have dinner with me?" Gepard's demeanor changed immediately, brightening and his eyes shining with excitement. He almost looked like a puppy. He then caught himself, coughing fakely to regain his composure. You laughed at his efforts, unnoticing the way he stared at you, transfixed. So it was a surprise when Gepard suddenly cupped your face and kissed you. A surprised gasp bubbled out of you, but he kissed it away, easing you both slowly into a deep, passionate exchange.
As you pulled away for air, Gepard's eyes were still on you. Before any of you could say something, Serval started clapping from the doorway and wiping her tears away. Gepard groaned in embarrassment as Serval started singing about how she was so proud of her baby brother finally growing up. You tried to laugh the awkwardness off, though you only started to actually relax when Gepard found your hand under the desk and squeezed it.

JING YUAN
You've been helping out around the Xianzhou Luofu in your free time, running errands and some side quests with the Divination Commission. In fact, you've spent the last few days reading through endless scrolls detailing prophecies and battle plans. The General Jing Yuan was the last thing on your mind as you filtered through the task. "Y/N." a sudden voice jolted you out of concentration. You look up to see Jing Yuan standing with a smile in front of the table you've been hunched over. "Is this a bad time? You look absolutely taken by the manuscript." "Oh." You quickly straighten up, putting the scroll down. "Not at all, general! Can I help you with anything?" Jing Yuan hummed happily, plopping down on the plush zabuton beside you. He took a deep breath, quickly feeling at peace in your presence. "Yes, actually. I would very much like your assistance on something." Jing Yuan then turned to you. "Do you have any advice on how to spend the time in relaxation? I have so many paperworks to sift through, what with the recent troubles with the Stellaron. I was wondering if you would have any wise words for me, what with your interstellar knowledge." Admittedly, you haven't been paying attention to what Jing Yuan was saying. Your eyes were transfixed on his handsome face, with everything blurring out into static noise. His lips were looking soft and just too inviting to be ignored as well, curving into a beautiful crescent moon with all the brightness of the stars. "Y/N? Is there something on my face?" Jing Yuan's concerned voice shook you out of your stupor. He looked worried. "Are Fu Xuan and her divinators overworking you? That won't do. I'll talk to them right away--" "No, no--" You fought the urge to scream in embarrassment. "I'm… I'm sorry, General. I got distracted." "By my face?" Jing Yuan raised an eyebrow, seemingly amused by then. "Which part especially, if I may so inquire?" His tone was teasing and lighthearted, leaning closer to you. "I'd like to know what of my face makes Y/N so distracted so as to not listen to me." That counted as permission, right? You take a shuddering breath as you willed the distance between you and Jing Yuan away, smashing your lips together. He let out a pleased noise at your initiative, hands reaching out to settle on your waist and jaw as the kiss deepened. You were the first to pull away to catch your breath, and the look Jing Yuan fixed you with had you melting. He hummed, content, and pushed a stray lock of hair away from your face. "I think this is a good way to relax indeed."

You make your way back towards the emergency department with a fresh cup of coffee in hand, the cafeteria coffee being surprisingly better than whoever stocks the doctor’s lounge with some weird, flavored crap you can’t keep down. This feels like the longest shift of your life, rarely getting a break from the craziness of a Chicago hospital. You take a long sip, savoring the taste when your pager beeps on your waist. You groan to yourself, not wanting to have to toss your coffee and run to the ED, even though it is a relatively short distance now. When you finally tug the pager free from where it is clipped to your scrubs, your breath hitches in your throat as you read the letters staring back at you.
CODE SILVER.
Racking your brain for an email about a drill that you may have skimmed over, you can feel your heart hammering in your chest like an anvil on metal sending a ringing through your ears. This has to be a drill. You learn about what to do in active shooter situations, but you never thought one would actually happen at a hospital. The small hope that this was somehow not real squashes when three quick shots ring out and your head shoots up, the sound scaring you so bad that you drop the cup in your hand. Coffee splashes on your feet and the brief shocked silence is suddenly filled with screams.
You’ve been trained for this. You’ve been trained for this. You’ve been trained for this.
Everything you learned flew out the window the second you heard those shots sounding too close for comfort and you stand there, frozen. You only snap back to yourself when a frantic woman bumps into you as she runs by with her young child in her arms. It works like a bucket of cold water on a sleeping form, and you start taking in your surroundings. Your eyes dart in every direction, watching as people run and attempt to hide as more shots ring out.
When your eyes land on a door that has a locked card scanner, you kick it into gear. You run over and swipe your access card, watching the red light turn green and waiting for the click to open the door. Glancing back over your shoulder, you spot a group of people trying to shield themselves poorly behind furniture, and you call out to get their attention. When one elderly man meets your eyes, you check both ways to make sure the coast is clear before gesturing them over.
Once everyone in sight is ushered inside, cramming as tightly as possible in the uncomfortably small storage space, you close the door and sit with your back against it. Closing your eyes for a second, you let out a long breath through your nose to try and slow your breathing. One woman’s sobs reach your ears, and your eyes fly open. You bring a finger to your lips and shush her, feeling bad for the harshness but knowing now is not the time for niceties. Someone has to be in charge, and it’s going to be you.
Now that you’ve had a moment to catch your breath with the solid barrier between the rest of the hospital, the severity of the situation hits you. Immediately, you pull out your phone from the inner pocket of your lab coat. The brightness is stark in the almost pitch-blackness of the room and you hurry to turn the brightness all the way down before it can be seen through the space under the door. Eyes adjusting to the screen, you notice the dozens of text messages and missed calls.
Will Halstead: where the hell are you
Will Halstead: there’s a shooter in the ED
Will Halstead: WHERE ARE YOU
Maggie Lockwood: There’s multiple people down in the ED.
Connor Rhodes: Locked in the hybrid OR with Will. Shooter somewhere in the hospital. Where are you?
Maggie Lockwood: Are you safe?
Jay Halstead (14 missed calls)
You respond to the texts first, assuring that you are safe and exactly where you are. It takes a few moments longer than usual due to the shaking of your hands that you can’t gain control of. You’re a doctor, your job relies on steady hands. Yet here you are, struggling to construct a sentence that makes sense. Once you manage, though, you tap the call button on your boyfriend’s contact. Bringing the phone to your ear, you listen as it goes straight to voicemail without even ringing. Meaning his phone is off. Hopefully meaning that he’s responding to this very scene. Hopefully meaning you won’t die without being able to tell him that you’re in love with him. You close your eyes shut to hold back the tears, knowing that if you break down, there’s no way the other dozen people in here will be able to keep it together.
It feels like hours go by in harrowing stillness, but in reality, it was probably shorter than that. Truthfully, you have no idea. It could have been days or seconds, and you wouldn’t know the difference. The sobs around you have quieted, with some of the people falling into silent prayers and hugging the complete strangers beside them. You even pray yourself, to any god or being that will listen, to get you out of this and back to the people – the person – you love. But the silence is interrupted when footsteps echo through the halls outside where you’ve found shelter, and the sobs of a few come back in full force, others trying their best to smother the sounds.
You bring a still-shaking hand up to your mouth, stifling the short breaths as your strength fractures and a few tears trail down your cheeks as the footsteps get closer. When they seem to come to halt just behind where you sit, there's only two inches separating you from whoever is outside.
You hold your breath.
“Y/N?”
Your eyes fly open at the sound of the love of your life’s voice. You quickly move to stand up when a young girl, maybe ten, tugs harshly on your pant leg. Glancing down, you meet her frightened eyes and do your best at a reassuring smile. “It’s okay,” you glance around the room with a soft nod, “that’s the police.” Heavy gasps and relieved cries fill the room as you manage to spin around in the cramped space, gripping the handle and yanking the door open.
Immediately, your eyes land on Jay, and a sense of peace washes over you. The feeling is mirrored in his eyes as he takes you in, checking you for nonexistent injuries before you all but launch yourself at him. His arms circle your waist as yours wind around his neck with a grip so tight you’re nearly choking him, but he doesn’t even mind. Jay lifts you off the ground slightly to move out of the way, allowing the other dozen people to come out and be helped by the various other officers.
“Thank god,” you choke out, tears now flowing freely.
“It’s okay,” Jay mumbles into your hair, one hand migrating to cradle the back of your head, “You’re okay.”
After a few moments of being calmed in his embrace, you pull away just enough to meet his eyes. “Is everyone okay? Did you find Will and th—” you start to ask, words tumbling out of your mouth faster than you can think them.
“Everyone’s okay,” Jay assures, both hands moving to cup your cheeks, “A few bystanders and a nurse were shot, but everyone is going to live. I found Will in the ED; he told me where you were.”
You close your eyes and nod at his words, signaling that you understand them.
Swiping a tear off of your skin, Jay says your name like a prayer and you open your eyes once again. “When you didn’t answer your phone, I—I thought,” he struggles to get the words out, “I can’t imagine my life without you in it. You are so important to me, you are such a big part of my life, that I just… I can’t imagine you not here. I love you, Y/N.”
The words hit your ears and it’s a melody you want to listen to for the rest of your life. Jay has never said that to you before and now you never want him to stop.
You manage a watery smile, leaning in until your forehead touches his, “I love you.”

Bad News First, Eddie
Part One 🦇 Part Two🦇Part Three🦇FInal Part
This was getting longer than both Steve and Wayne's parts combined, so I'm gonna break it into 2 parts. Posting part 1 now, and part 2 should be up within a day. Thank you everyone for the wonderful replies/reblogs. I screenshot them cause they keep me going haha.
Trigger Warning: Child abuse referenced, as well as one scene of a child being slapped. Use of slurs in a derogatory manner.
-
Bad news first, Eddie thinks to himself as he swings the trash can lid turned shield, this is a fuckton of bats. Good news, Dustin is safe.
The bats are overwhelming but he's holding his own. He can do this. He can buy them more time. He's done running away from the things that scare him.
-
Bad news, Eddie thinks, watching Dustin sob above him, I'm gonna die here.
-
Eddie dies. He knows this because all the hurt stops. The world has faded into itself, dimming to a blackness deeper than Eddie's ever known.
The afterlife is a bit disappointing if he's honest. He's not sure what he was expecting, but it wasn't nothing. Endless, unfathomable nothing.
He kinda hoped he'd see his mom or something, but that's delusional. If the afterlife was heaven or hell, he wouldn't end up in the one his mom went to, that's for sure. Too many sins under his belt for that.
Death is pretty boring though.
-
Time is impossible to track. He's tried a few times, counting seconds to make minutes but that's so boring he loses his train of thought. Ends up humming some tune or another before repeating the process.
The day he finds himself humming a Wham! song has Eddie a little panicked. He doesn't listen to Top 40 stations. He spent a good deal of time avoiding learning any Wham! songs, actually, so now that he's somehow gotten one such in his head...
This has got to be capital H Hell.
Well. Everyone in town thought he was on the road straight to it. Laugh it up, Hawkins. You were right. The Freak went straight down.
-
Eddie misses Wayne. He can't remember the last thing he'd said to him. When did he last tell his uncle he loved him? Wayne knew it though. He had to know it. They didn't say it out loud but they didn't need to. Right?
-
In the distance, Eddie sees something. A light? He's not sure what it is but it's something new. Something different.
The light leads him back into the Upside Down. The bats are swarming and he just crashed the bike- fuck fuck fuck, run. Run, Eddie, get the fuck out of here!
He's screaming at himself to run but instead his body stops. Turns. Pulls the shield and spear from his back and screams at the bats.
Eddie rips himself back, away. Crumples to the ground, folding into himself. Not that. Anything but that again.
-
A soft humming sound. Gentle, warm.
Loving.
Eddie unfolds himself to see what it is.
His mom smiles down at him, reaches out to ruffle his hair as she hums. Eddie knows the danger has passed and he is safe now because Mamma only hums that when it's safe.
"There's my handsome boy," she moves the hand from his hair to boop the tip of his nose. "How about we play a little game, hmm? The floor is lava!"
She scoops him up and plops him on the kitchen table. There is a crunching sound beneath her feet as she moves. Lava sounds an awful lot like Dad's broken beer bottles but if Mamma wants to play pretend then Eddie can do that for her.
-
His mother is beautiful. The most beautiful woman in the world. He takes after her in a lot of ways. Matching curly locks, the same face scrunch when they're angry, their noses, big brown doe eyes. Eddie even shares her voice, just a different pitch. The point is, Eddie's mom is beautiful and he's got enough ego left at four years old to think of himself as beautiful, too.
The problem, then, is that Eddie makes the mistake of saying it in front of his Dad. 'As pretty as Mamma,' he'd said. They'd, he and Mamma that is, were sitting crosslegged on the floor in the living room. Dad had been in the kitchen, Eddie could hear him puttering about. Mamma had booped his nose and called him the best looking kid in all of America.
Eddie nodded fiercly, "yeah! As pretty at Mamma."
It used to be a fuzzy memory, what happens next. A flurry of movement and shouting. Now he's witnessing it with terrible clarity. His dad's hand curling around his upper arm and yanking him into the air, crushing hard enough to bruise. His dad's shouting at him. He remembers not remembering the words but now they hit him like the slap his dad delivered to his face. "No son of mine is going to be a fuckin' fag, thinkin' he's some pretty little girl. Is that what you want, you little shit? To be a little girl?"
"Stop it! Stop it! Let him go, he didn't mean anything like that!" he hears his Mamma plead but his Dad won't stop shaking him and screaming. He bursts into tears because it hurts and he's confused and his Dad's never hit him before- "Hit me! Hit me! If you're gonna hit someone, hit me!"
Eddie gets tossed aside. He lands on back and sees as his Dad does exactly as his Mamma demanded. Eddie's never been so scared in his life, he can't watch. He scampers down the hall as fast as he can and crawls under his bed to hide.
-
If Eddie had to guess, that's the memory that ingrained his need to run.
-
He's reliving his memories. He's a little embarrassed how long it takes him to figure that out. They say your life flashes before your eyes when you die. They don't tell you that the quote flash unquote takes a really fuckin' long time. Like, you know, your whole life long time.
It's so strange to witness, too. Like he's both watching the memories as an outsider, but also through his own eyes. He has both the knowledge that he had when he died, and also no experience beyond what he's seeing in the memory.
-
He watches his Dad beat his Mamma, beat him, but also watches his Dad push him on the swings and slow dance around the kitchen with his Mamma. And that's the worst part, he thinks. That his Dad could have been an awesome one. If he'd stayed sober like he kept promising. He didn't though, couldn't. Hell, maybe it's even a wouldn't. He watchs Wyatt fucking Munson pick beer and drugs over him and his Mamma time and time again.
Couldn't even put them down long enough to be there when Mamma got sick.
-
Eddie is seven. He's just had his head shaved, bald as his Mamma now. He regrets doing it as soon as he sees his Mamma's smile falter when Uncle Wayne drops him off at the hospital.
"We match, Mamma," Eddie says shyly, eyes downcast. "I wanted to match..."
"Oh, baby, come here," and she's scooping him into a hug, genuinly smiling again, "I love that we match. So long as it was your decision to cut your hair."
Eddie realizes now why her smile had faltered. She thought Dad had shaved his head against his will, probably because long hair was for woman, as he liked to say. Eddie in the memory didn't know that, though, so he just cuddles closer and says, "Yeah. Uncle Wayne did it for me, so it would be nice and even, he said. Wanna hear what we did in school today?"
-
There is something looming at the edges of his vision. Eddie can't seem to make whatever it is come into focus. It's not a memory because those always focus. It's something else. Something new.
-
His dad teaches him to hot wire a car. Makes him learn how to pick the lock on car doors and handcuffs. When he sees how easily Eddie took to lockpicking, he makes him learn other locks, too.
Eddie misses out on school because his dad can't be bother to enroll him and Eddie doesn't know how to do it himself. He's too scared to, anyway. Afraid his dad will start swinging and won't stop until he's dead.
-
When Eddie is eleven, a lot happens. It was a pivitol age for him. He got his first crush (a boy named Jimmy) and a first kiss (a boy named Jeramiah). Eddie also ends up in the hospital because his Dad caught him kissing Jeramiah.
It's not his Dad that picks him up from the hospital, though.
Eleven is the age he is the day his Uncle Wayne moves him to Hawkins, Indiana.
He's also eleven the first time he hears Black Sabbath.
Eddie is also eleven years old when he decides that he wants good news delivered last. To end with something good.
-
He relives becoming himself.
Catching up in school because he's not stupid, but falling behind because he is kinda dumb (schoolwork never seemed as imporant as hanging out with friends, or starting a band, or playing dungeons and dragon, or any other number of things).
The relief he feels the first time he meets another person like him, learns there's another word besides faggot for what he is. Gay. The immense pleasure of feeling truly seen the first time he says that out loud to someone (it's his best friend, Jeff) "Bad news, Jeff. You might hate me for this. Good news, I'm gay."
Good, good news. Jeff doesn't hate him!
There's a fear that Wayne might be like his Dad regarding all this, so he can't tell him; won't tell him.
But then Wayne comes home unexpectedly when Eddie is a freshman and catches him with another boy's tongue in his mouth. Eddie has a panic attack that winds up with him in the hospital.
He remembers the paralizing fear when Wayne came to pick him up upon his release. Eddie had walked to the pickup numb and afraid. He climbed in, buckled the seatbelt, and waited for the worst.
Wayne climbed in and started the pickup but didn't put it in gear. Instead, he spoke, "Life is gonna be rough for you, boy. Rougher than it should be."
Eddie cannot make words form to reply. Can't do anything but shake.
"Eddie," Wayne says and he feels the seat move as Wayne shifts to turn towards him, "the bad news is, life is gonna be rough, but the good news? Living under my roof isn't. Won't be. Eddie, my boy, I love you. And nothing, absolutely nothing, will change that."
Eddie breaks, like a puppet with its strings cut, sags in the seat and sobs. Never, never had Eddie ever bothered to entertain the idea that this might be Wayne's response.
-
Eddie is a sophomore the first time he notices Steve Harrington. It's fucking awful. It's also amazing.
Because noticing Steve Harrington means noticing Steve Harrington. He's immidiately popular because he's good looking and good at sports.
Eddie's not gonna claim to know Steve, he doesn't. There's just these little clues that King Steve isn't a default jerk. For one, Steve doesn't partake in bullying. He stays silent. Lets it happen.
But Eddie's also been witness to two times when Stever did step in; both times when it was escalating to be a phycical altercation.
"Hey, Tommy, don't," Steve had said, not quite stepping between Tommy and the other kid, but enough to be within Tommy's line of sight. "The game is tomorrow. You throw that punch and your hand is gonna hurt like a bitch through the whole game. And I swear to God if we lose this game because you can't handle it-" Steve didn't finish the sentence, didn't have to. Tommy lowered his arm and scoffed. Walked away mutter about how the kid wasn't worth it anyway.
The other time, it had been Jeff he'd defended. Jeff hadn't even been doing anything. Just stumbled into some asshole from the basketball team and knocked him over. Eddie had been the one who'd shoved Jeff (because Jeff was teasing him) and he was ready to place himself in the way when Steve had beat him to it.
"Fucking relax, it was an accident," Steve stood face to face with Roger. Eddie and Jeff just stared at the back of Steve's head. "It's not Jeff's fault that barely tapping you knocked you down like a house of cards. Right, Jeff?"
Eddie and Jeff blinked at each other in a sort of stunned silence because since when does King Steve know either of their names? Steve turned to look over his shoulder, one eyebrow raised. Jeff stammered out, "R-right. It was an accident. Sorry, man."
"See, he's even sorry."
Eddie reached out, wrapped his hand around Jeff's wrist, and tugged him away. He could not stay here and witness anymore of Hero Steve or he was going to embarrass himself infront of the entire cafeteria in the worst way possible.
-
That was the tipping point for Eddie. When he finally had to admit he wasn't just noticing Steve Harrington. He had a full blown crush on the dude.
Fuck.
-
Watching his memories play, Eddie realizes he spent far too much time in high school trying to get Steve's attention. Bumping into him on purpose, being antagonistic to his friends just get a response, or trying his best to use Jedi mind powers to make teachers pair them together for projects in the rare few classes they shared (this never worked; teachers liked Steve too much and hated Eddie).
Steve changes between junior and senior year and still doesn't notice Eddie. Eddie's kinda bitter about it.
Then Steve graduates, but doesn't leave. He's always hanging around, bothering the freshman Eddie's taken under his wing. He's not jealous that Dustin Henderson thinks Steve hung the moon. He's not. (he is).
Anyway, the bad news. Steve graduates but doesn't leave and Eddie can't get over his stupid crush. Good news, he and Steve share a mutual friend in one obnoxiously lovable freshman, so that's like one step closer to Eddie being Steve's friend, right?
-
The thing that's looming finally comes into view when his most recent memories come up. Or, more accurately, it -she- makes herself seen.
He's holding a broken bottle to Steve's neck demanding to know what he's doing here and then the scene pulls away from him until he's watching himself threaten Steve. The memory moves in slow motion.
"Eddie?"
He screams because Jesus H Christ nothing else in the afterlife has ever spoken to him.
"I am sorry. I did not mean to scare you," she says. Eddie can see her now. She doesn't look like either an angel or a demon. She just looks like a regular person, a girl with shoulder length brown hair, wearing jeans and a yellow shirt that looks too big for her.
"Uh, it's fine?" Eddie says, because what else is he going to say? "Who're.. who are- what are you?"
"I am Eleven. It has been difficult to reach you, Eddie. Had to try, though."
"What?"
Eleven nods, like someone has said something he can't hear. There is a long pause before she speaks again. "Do you want to wake up, Eddie?"
"What do you mean wake up?" Eddie feels like he might start having a panic attack.
"I am not good with words. Not delicate, Mike would say," Eleven says, "so I will be frank. You are alive. Can be alive. Doctor Owens says you retreated into yourself. To protect yourself. But it's safe now. It is all safe. The Upside Down cannot hurt you again."
Eddie feels the panic set in almost instantly at those words. The memory explodes into black and the girl vanishes.
-
The more Eleven shows up, the more aware of other things Eddie becomes. Occasionally the sound of conversation drifts in but it's far away, muffled. He can taste food on his tongue that he had not eaten. Feel a brush get stuck in his hair.
They don't really talk, he and Eleven. She takes her queues from him and since he's got no idea what's happening he doesn't know what queues to give.
"So, you're not here to like... send me on, or something?" He asks. They're sitting cross-legged in front of each other. Eddie in the outfit he died in and Eleven in shorts, a crop top, and an oversized jacket.
"Where would I send you?"
"Y'know. Like... Hell or wherever."
Eleven is silent a long time before she says, "I don't want to send you anywhere. I want to bring you back."
Back. He can go back? That doesn't seem right. That doesn't seem like it should be an option. "You mean like, back to Hawkins?"
"Eventually."
Eddie's not sure what to make of that. Is he gonna be a ghost? Because if it's Hell or being a ghost, the latter sounds infinity more fun. Plus, as a ghost he could probably check in on Wayne.
"Alright. You win, Eleven. Take me back."
Eleven stands up immediately, offering a hand to help Eddie up. "You have to want it."
"Want to be a ghost?"
"No. You have to want to be alive."
That makes sense, Eddie supposes. Wanting to be alive is probably what makes ghosts be able to like, be ghosts. "OK. OK. I can do this." He does a full body shake, dancing from one foot to another to pump himself up. "Alive. Alive. I want that. I want to live. I want to see my uncle again. Want to give Hawkins a big fuck you for thinking I'd end up in Hell. I want to see Jeff and Gareth! I want to haunt the fuck out of Dustin Henderson for trying to follow me! I want to know if Robin, Steve, and Nancy won! I want to know if they made Vecna pay!"
He is yelling by the end of it, and Eleven is beaming at him like she's proud of him.
"Yes! Yes! Now, wake up!"
-
Eddie does wake up. Sort of. He's already awake, sitting in what appears to be someone's living room. He blinks several times before exhaustion washes over him and he sags back into the chair he's sitting in. "Wh-" he tried to speak but his vocal chords don't seem to want to work.
"Holy shit." A voice says off to his side. It's vaguely familiar. Like a distant memory. "Call Owens! Call Owens right fucking now!"
-
Bad news is this. He's been stuck in his own head for several years. His fucking body has been moving around without him yet the amount of physical therapy he has to do is torture. Fucking Owens won't let him contact anyone until he gets the all clear from his new therapist. Oh, and his uncle believes he's dead.
Good news is this. He's alive.

At Sabaody (Perona x GN! Reader)
Requested.
Rating: SFW
Summary: Perona just was meant to drop off Zoro at Sabaody, but didn’t realize he had such a cute crewmate!!!
WC: 573
She hadn’t really heard of you, didn’t particularly pay attention when everything went down in Thriller Bark (since, duh, she was scared for her life!!!). She just knew the general Straw Hats and didn’t spend time thinking of them.
Sure, Zoro did mention your name once in a while, and his comments made you seem so… strange.
As the self-designated “handler” of Zoro, though, she dragged him off to Sabaody after two years of training at Kuraigana.
She yanked him around by his collar whenever he somehow managed to drift off the path they were going.
As they finally met up with the Straw Hats, she unceremoniously shoved him and sighed. “There! Take good care of this knucklehead, would you? And if he gives you a hard time, let me know.”
That was supposed to be it, supposed to be the final word until she heard a voice calling for them. She turned around and instantly gasped.
There you were, in your glory, innocently smiling and waving to the crew you had missed since two years ago.
To say Perona was shocked to see you was the understatement of the century. Her jaw was slack and her eyes were nearly bulging from their heads. She quickly yanked Zoro back to her and whispered, “is this (Y/n)?”
When he says yes, she immediately starts yelling at him. “THEY LOOK THIS CUTE AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN TELL ME? YOU HID THEM FROM ME?!”
Everyone raises a brow at her little tantrum while Zoro shrugs. “I mean… it’s just (Y/n)”, he says, unleashing Perona’s rage.
“You fool! You’re an idiot! I would’ve worn my better clothes!! I would’ve fixed myself up more!!! You did this to me on purpose!!!”
After she finishes yelling at him, she turns around and smiles brightly, as if she didn’t just rip Zoro a new one. She giggles and twirls her parasol cutely.
“You’re (Y/n), right?”
“Yes, Perona. That’s my name.”
She turns red and gasps. “Y-you know my name?! Oh my god, you know my name already!”
She can’t handle it, covering her cheeks with a girly smile as she is floating and squealing.
“You know, why don’t you ditch these losers and come with me? Kuraigana has plenty of rooms, and I’m a verrrrry good cook.”
“I’d love to, Perona, but I have to be with my crew,” you apologize. She pouts a bit. “But I think we can write or come visit once in a while.”
Her heart races as her smile appears back on her face. “You will? You really will?”
Well, now you just gave her the golden ticket. She wants to write to you or call you on her Den-Den Mushi almost every day.
She talks about you dreamily to all the zombies and mandarills and to anyone who will listen. Mihawk practically knows your life story at this point.
Perona fantastically discusses throwing a wedding and having Moria and Mihawk walk her down the aisle as her fathers (Mihawk proceeds to think about proper wedding attire for himself).
She tries to go through the newspaper to see if there’s any interesting information about you or to see your latest bounty poster and hang it on her wall.
She’s a lovestruck girl, a bit morbid and twisted, but really, she’s got a big heart and is eager to see you again. She likes to daydream about what you two would do together.

There’s no one who irritates you more than the Weasley Twins.
They’re loud, immature, unreliable, clumsy, arrogant, touchy, careless, childish, stubborn, just genuinely stupid. It’s as if everything you hated had been mixed together and formed into two tall, redheaded, teenage boys.
Ever since you started your first year with them, it’s felt as if they’re the most agitating people in the world. Now you're all in your fifth year, and they’ve only gotten worse since then.
It’s bad enough that you got put in the same house as them, you also somehow got multiple classes with them every year, and that your parents were friends with their parents. But, what added fuel to the fire was that they knew you didn’t like them, that you found them annoying and unfunny, and that only made them pester you more.
Yet it was surprising you were able to make friends with their younger brother, Ron. He didn’t care about your hatred for the twins, he agreed sometimes on how they would take their “pranks” too far, especially with him. He spilled to you about the plenty of times they used his phobias against him, when Fred turned his teddy bear into a spider when he was younger, they practically fueled his fear of spiders, or when both of the twins tried to get him to make an unbreakable vow when he was only five.
Ron also told you about how they tormented his other siblings as well.
George once admitted (proudly) that he and Fred attempted to shove Percy into a tomb while on a trip to Egypt, however, their mum caught them in the act, and they put beetles in his soup. They let off a dungbomb under their elderly aunt's chair on Christmas day. Even though you heard about their elderly aunt being unpleasant and unsympathetic, it’s risky to scare a 107-year-old with something explosive.
They would mess with their older brother Charlie, who studies and takes care of dragons now, by hiding his books about dragons or pretending that they accidentally destroyed them.
The twins seemed the most lax with Ginny, you didn’t hear about too many mean pranks being pulled on her. They would scare her by jumping up behind her with creepy masks on or steal all her food off her plate when she wasn’t looking. She was probably the favorite sibling to them.
There were so many more events that gave you more reasons to hate them.
In their first year, they set off a dungbomb in one of the corridors, the smell wouldn’t go away for days, it lingered through the air and anyone even remotely close would unwillingly get the strong, foul, disgusting smell of it in their nostrils, also if you walked through the gas, the smell would stick to you.
They fed a firework to a salamander, they wanted to ‘see what would happen’. You accidentally and unwillingly witnessed it, making the mistake of choosing to study at the lake that day.
They’ve hidden and messed up Percy’s Head Boy badge, they nearly made their poor brother cry because of it.
At the end of Second year, they set off the last of their Filibuster Fireworks on the train ride home.
They constantly stole items from other classmates, including you. There have been multiple times your textbooks and/or notes have gone missing for several days. When your stuff would magically appear on your bed in the dorms, there’d be a note attached to it saying “Thanks for letting us borrow this!” or something along the lines of that. Also, little doodles and drawings on the sides of your notes and sometimes your textbook.
Sometimes they wouldn’t even put your textbooks or your notes on your bed, they’d hide them. Putting them in your nightstand drawers, under your bed, behind the curtains, inside your closet, on top of the closet, and even inside of your pillowcase. You remember the first time they hid it there.
You had stayed up far too late studying in the common room, there was a test in Snape’s class in the morning that you definitely weren't ready for. You decided maybe you should go to bed after your head nearly hit the table you were sitting at for a third time due to you falling asleep.
You closed your notebook and gathered your supplies, heading up to the girl's dormitory. Too tired to put your things away properly, you put them on the floor next to your bed. You turned off your lamp and flopped down onto your pillow. Instead of feeling a cool, soft, and comfortable cushion touch your head, you hit your head on a large, solid, and heavy textbook.
You hissed out loud in pain, causing a few girls to groan and stir in their sleep. You sat up and held the side of your head which was now stinging, you wouldn’t be surprised if you got a lump the next day due to how hard your head smacked into it.
You turned back on the light next to your bed, you looked at your pillow, noticing the large rectangular shape inside it, you could see the cover of your textbook with a small piece of paper stuck on it through the sheer fabric. Angrily, you took your textbook out of the pillowcase, taking the folded piece of the paper that was on the front and opening it.
Thanks for letting us borrow this! Sweet dreams!
                                      Much love, F and G!
You would’ve screamed and stormed your way over to the boy's dorm to beat both of the twins with the book if it wasn’t past midnight and if you weren’t in a room of sleeping girls. All you could do was put the textbook with the rest of your things and go to sleep angry, or at least try to sleep, now that you were wide awake and your head was throbbing.
Anyways, they also cheated all the time, they’d constantly bug you for answers in the middle of tests when they didn’t even need them. You hate to say this, but they were insanely good at potions. It makes sense how they created all those sweets. They would be able to fly through the tests in less than ten minutes at least, but they didn’t, they were lazy, so they’d mooch off you. When they’d get caught, they’d both blame you, which nearly got you in trouble with Snape several times.
Speaking of professors. They would mess with them. They threw snowballs at the back of Professor Quirrell's head. But, after learning the truth about what was going on with Quirrell under the head scarf. Maybe that could be the only thing they’ve ever done that was somewhat valid. It was still bad for Quirrell, he was already taking enough sneering from students the entire time he was working at the school, he was just being used as a vessel.
But that's not the point we’re talking about here.
There are way too many reasons for why you hate those redheaded twins. You didn’t understand how people put up with them, how they found them entertaining and funny. They were embarrassing. You hated how they excused themselves from responsibility. How they claimed everything they did was a “joke” or “prank” to get out of trouble.
It was like your brain was programmed to put you in a bad mood anytime you thought of them or were around them. Your eyes would roll annoyedly at the sight of them. You would get snippy and aggressive if they even tried talking to you. You did everything in your power to keep yourself away from them for the sake of your mood.
Their entire existence made your blood boil. Fred especially. He’s the worst out of the two of them. But there’s a difference between him and George. Fred is the instigator, George smooths things out, but that doesn’t mean he’s not trouble though. George is less annoying, only a bit less annoying. He’s nearly as annoying as Fred, but it seems as if Fred is more determined to get on your nerves.
And he is. You can tell.
He becomes louder when near you, constantly taps on your shoulder, asking for something when he already knows you won’t give him whatever it is or pretends like he didn’t, he also throws things at you and pretends that he doesn’t, lies or says things wrong on purpose just for you to scoff and correct him, calls you nicknames that you hate, teases you for whatever he can find, it’s as if he nitpicks anything you do so he can use it against you to annoy you, he does every little thing that peeves you only because he wants to get some type of reaction out of you, and the only reason on why he does it? He thinks it’s funny.
Fred isn’t completely fond of you either.
He knows what bothers you, what gets on your nerves, what makes your blood boil, then he uses it against you, to piss you off. You’re not sure how exactly he knows so much, but just somehow he does. Either it could be because he knows legilimency (which is very unlikely) or it’s that he’s just been listening in on your conversations with friends.
Whatever, what you are sure of is that you can’t stand the Weasley twins. You hate the Weasley twins. You hate Fred and George Weasley. You hate Fred Weasley. You hate him with every bone and muscle in your body.

I think cyclone could use some attention, how about an one shot where Beau is set up on a blind date, who ends up being a pilot under his command in dagger squad. Cyclone and the reader are shocked to see each, and they decide to make most of the night (despite VERY uncomfortable beginning). They end up at together. But have to keep it on the download since the reader is a Lieutenant, and he is a vice admiral. They end up having to explain it to the rest of dagger squad.
Hi!! I loved your request and I hope you like it!! So sorry it took so long but midterms have been kicking my ass lately.

He doesn’t know what he is doing here, god knows he should’ve known better then to let Warlock put him up on a date.
He wasn’t lonely, not as much as his friend thought. But as much as he tries to convince himself of that every day, he would be lying to himself. He did miss having a person that knew him inside and out and who would be there at home when he came back from work. He even misses the intimacy, not necessarily the sex, but just the cuddles and the soft touches when passing each other.
But he hated this part, not knowing who you are going to meet and feeling utterly scared at what was about to happen. An old lady had been looking at him curiously ever since he had arrived and he tried not to think of it, focusing on trying not to sweat through his shirt, he was a vice-admiral for god sake.
“Vice-Admiral Simpsons?”, the words are filled with surprise and as he looks up, he nearly faints at the sight of the woman in front of him.
“Lieutenant Floyd?”, the girl is looking at his with equally wide eyes and he tries to keep his breathing under control.
“What are you doing here?”, he asks after a moment, clearing his throat hoping that it would somehow get it to work properly.
“Admiral Bates told me to come here and meet my, uhm, my-”, the girl seems a bit uncomfortable to say the word to him, but Beau just nods his head slowly, mentally thinking of every way he could kill Warlock for this.
“For a blind date?”, she nods shily at his words before sitting down on the chair in front of him.
He can’t help but look at her, she is a beautiful woman, he had known that since he had seen her sitting in front of him when she had just started her training. She was also incredibly smart, which seemed to be running in the family as her brother was the best WSO in the business. Warlock knew what he was doing, Beau had always had some sort of attraction towards her, unable not to pay attention to her when she was in the room.
He hears her clear her throat and he can’t help the blush that creeps on his cheeks as he realizes that he had been looking at her for a moment now.
“Sorry, Lieut-”, he doesn’t finish the sentence as he realizes that they aren’t on base and that he doesn’t need to call her that.
He looks up as he hears her laugh softly before she whispers her name, a sweet smile on her lips that makes his heart race like when he was a teenager.
“Right, well call me Beau.”, he tells her, and she looks slightly nervous as she fidgets with the menu card.
“Not your usual setting either?”, she looks up at the question and he wants to kick himself, mentally telling himself that he should think before speaking but she somehow manages to make him lose all control.
“Not really, I’m busier with the Navy then with my dating life to be honest. Which is kind of sad when I say it out loud.”, she says with a shy smile and Beau can’t help but smile at the sight of it.
“Well seems like we already have one thing in common.”, she looks up at his words, surprise etched over her eyes as she looks at him.
“Really?”, it seems like she doesn’t believe him and Beau smiles at her bashful expression after the word.
“Well, the Navy is quite busy, especially these last few years.”, he tells her, feeling tired at the simple thought of everything he had to do the past years.
“Maverick keeping you busy?”, he hears the teasing tone in her voice but still he rolls his eyes at the question making her laugh.
“That man is taking more years of my life away every day.”, the laughter that follows makes him smile even wider, unable to hide it.
“He is quite the troublemaker.”, she says and Beau nods in agreement.
“That is an understatement.”, he doesn’t have time to ask her anything else before someone comes up to pick up their order and they find themselves scrambling to get the menu card and quickly look at it. He had been too busy paying attention to her that he hadn’t even thought about what he was going to eat.
“So, tell me about your day.”, she says, as if was as simple as that and after a moment of looking at her slightly dumbfound he starts to talk.
He doesn’t know how long they talk, probably far too long but he enjoys every second of it. Her laughter when he tells her the stories of when he was at the academy and her wide eyes with interest when he is telling her the most boring things. He can’t stop listening to her, watching her talk as she tells stories of her and Bob as children.
“I’m sorry to disturb you but we are going to be closing soon.”, the waitress looks a bit nervous as she stands there, and he looks at his watch to see that it is already nearing midnight.
“Of course! So sorry.”, she quickly says, and the waitress looks relieved as they start packing their stuff.
“Here is your bill.”, she says, and Beau gets ready to pay for the bill before he sees her getting her own wallet.
“I’ll pay for it.”, he says simply, and she looks at him with a slight frown.
“You don’t have to do that, we can split the bill.”, she says quickly, her head held high, and Beau can’t help but smile at the sight of her.
“I’m sure we can but I want to pay for it.”, he says, and she looks at him, slightly doubtful before letting out a quiet sigh.
“Fine but I’m paying next time.”, the words make butterflies erupt in his stomach, realizing that she does want to see him again. A red blush appears on her cheeks as she realizes what she just said before she stutters over her words.
“I- I mean if you want to of course.”, he doesn’t even hesitate a second at her words.
“Of course, I would, I mean I don’t even want to say goodnight to you right now.”, he realizes the way the words could be understood as and he feels his cheeks burn with a blush.
“You know some people would take that as an invitation Vice-Admiral Simpson.”, there is a coy grin on her lips and he feels the urge to kiss that smile away and make her say his title again, the way it rolls of her tongue so easily makes him crave her in a way he hasn’t felt before.
“Would you want it to be Lieutenant?”, he knows that they shouldn’t, this is just their first date but god he doesn’t know how he will be able to let her go at the end of the night. The thought of being able to kiss her skin and feel her skin against his makes his blood rush south.
“I could be convinced.”, there is that teasing smile that doesn’t seem to leave her lips and a moment later he finally gets to kiss them, feel the softness of them against the cold wind on his skin.
There is that smile that doesn’t seem to leave her lips and his, but he never wants to not see her smile.
“As much as it is tempting to take you home and trust me it is. How about we go on another date first?”, he asks her softly, looking at her sparkling eyes in the moonlight.
“Sounds like a perfect plan. Text me or call me, quickly.”, she seals the last word with a kiss before leaving him there, slightly dazed. She looks back a few times before she has to turn the corner and Beau wishes that she didn’t have to leave that soon.
--
He ignores Warlock’s knowing gaze when he comes into work the next morning and particularly the day after their second date, still feeling high on the adrenaline of the night before and that morning.
“It seems like everything is going well.”, Warlock says, with his most innocent gaze, which doesn’t work, and Beau tries to ignore him.
“Not a word.”, he decides to say, trying to keep on a straight face but ultimately failing as a smile appears at the thought of her.
He sees her during the day, it’s a blessing and a curse at the same time to have her this close to him but not being able to say anything.
They had agreed to keep it under wrap as he was still her superior and she was also part of the Dagger Squad with her brother on it.
“You know, Bob is wondering where I am spending all of my time lately.”, she whispers one night, her fingers tracing lazy patterns along his skin.
“What did you tell him?”, he asks, wondering what excuse she could’ve found to explain her absence.
“Just that I was busy, but I don’t think he will be leaving me alone about it.”, she tells him, and he knows what she is trying to say.
“Do you think it’s a good idea to tell him?”, he asks her softly, wondering how the quiet WSO would react at the news of his older sister dating him.
“I think so, he told me that he admires you and he has no issues with me dating someone.”, she tells him, and Beau can’t help but feel prideful at the thought of the WSO admiring him.
“Alright, might as well do it now. But only him.”, he can’t help but laugh at the squeal she lets out before being smothered with kisses.
“Thank you! You will love Bob!”, she tells him as if he doesn’t know him, but he lets her talk about everything that they could do together.
“I’ll call him.”, she tells him a little bit later, he can hear the sleepiness in her voice and after a moment he hears her soft snores filling up the room.
--
“Now, Bobby, I want you to approach this with an open mind.”, you tell your brother, trying to calm down your nerves as he looks at you with raised eyebrows.
“I’m starting to get really scared.”, he says, and you try to shake your head, taking his hand and squeezing it in reassurance.
“Don’t you worry, you will like him.”, you simply say, looking across the Hard Deck towards the door and a moment later Beau arrives making you so excited that you accidently squeeze Bob’s hand to strongly.
“Aw! How strong are you?”, he says as he rubs his hand and you look at him with apologetic eyes, knowing that he isn’t mad.
“Alright Bobby, this is my boyfriend.”, you declare, and Bob turns around to find Beau in front of him. You don’t know what you were expecting but not your brother getting up and salute Beau.
“Sir.”, your boyfriend seems to find it funny as he tells him that it isn’t necessary and sitting down next to you. Bob scrambles back on his chair, looking between the two of you for a few minutes, you can feel Beau’s uneasiness at the staring.
“Thank god.”, Bob sighs and he seems to deflate, making you look at him with wide eyes.
“What do you mean ‘thank god’?”, you ask him, wondering who your little brother could have possibly thought you would’ve brought.
“I thought you were bringing Bagman.”
“Ieuw! Bob!”, you screech and your brother snorts at your reaction while Beau seems disgusted at the words.
“I’m sorry but you were being so secretive I thought of the worst-case scenario.”, Bob tells you, shrugging his shoulders and you can’t help but shake your head.
“So, I suppose that I’m not the worst-case scenario?”, your boyfriend asks and Bob smiles sheepishly.
“I think that you are a good man, as long as you treat her well there is no problem. But hurt her and I’ll make sure no one can find your body.”, Bob threatens, and you smile at the protectiveness of your little brother, Beau immediately agrees and before you know it the three of you are talking.
“What do we have here?”, you suddenly hear behind you and the three of you turn around to find the entire Dagger Squad looking at you with wide eyes.
“What do you want Hangman?”, you hear Bob say and the blond aviator smirks in response.
“Just wondering what the three of you are doing here on such a fine evening, without us.”, there is a pout on his lips that is as fake as the plants in the Hard Deck.
“Cry me a river Bagman.”, Bob says, and you can’t help but laugh softly at your brother’s annoyance. Hangman had been trying to annoy him since the start and recently Bob had been going against him making the blond aviator even more interested in him. Your little brother seemed obvious to it, but the cocky pilot had been trying to get in his pants since the start.
“Bagman is right for once, I’m also kind of curious.”, Phoenix says while ignoring Hangman’s winning smile and sitting next to Bob, making Hangman pout.
“Well, it’s a bit of a secret.”, you try to say and immediately the whole Dagger Squad sits down, eyes wide open like you were about to tell them all about a new plane.
“We are dating.”, you simply state as Beau puts his arm around your shoulders. There is a moment of silence before the whole group erupts in chatter except for Bob.
“Wait, what?!”
“You two are dating?”
“You didn’t tell me Bobby?”, you hear Hangman screech, and you can’t help but laugh at your brother rolling his eyes.
“Stop being dramatic, she just told me five minutes ago.”, Bob tells him, and the rest of the Dagger Squad turns to look at you.
“This has to stay under wrap, at least until you are all not under my command anymore. Is that clear?”, Beau asks and the whole squad agrees, looking at you with excited smiles.
“Scouts honor.”, Hangman says and the whole squad snorts at his words.
“Now tell us how it all started.”, Phoenix says, looking excited at the prospect of hearing how it all happened.
“And give us the juicy details.”, Halo says with a smirk before Bob clears his throat.
“Please don’t.”, he says and before you can answer Hangman puts his hand on Bob’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry Bobby I’ll be there to support you.”, this makes everyone laugh and as Bob rolls his eyes in answer.
“So, it all started with Warlock.”, you start, with Beau helping you fill in the blanks.
You couldn’t have imagined how that first date was going to be like, but you hadn’t expected anything like this to happen. And now surrounded by all of these people that you liked you can’t help but think that this was what life was supposed to be like.
