is there no truth in beauty? is one of my fave tos episodes on the strength of diana muldaur's performace as miranda alone but the bit near the end where kirk realizes it's up to her to save spock but that she wouldnt because she's jealous of his ability to be so close to her telepathic bestie is sooo funny cause bones is just like. "jim. listen. she sees him not just as a rival but as a romantic one and we cant unpack all that right now but you HAVE to be chill about this"
