TW: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE/ SUICIDAL IDEATION
Disclaimer: I don't know anything about Roy Harper except what I've learned through fandom and Wiki. Please excuse me if he is out of character. Roy accidentally finds Jason.
Roy couldn’t believe his eyes. Jason Todd stood a few feet in front of him. The same Jason Todd who died years ago. He had red hair instead of black, and his eyes were green instead of blue. He was taller and broader, and a kid was hanging to his leg.
Roy would recognize him anywhere, no matter how much he had changed.
(Jason’s death was the reason he fell to alcoholism and tried to commit suicide via Killer Crocodile.)
“Daddy, I want to get closer to the edge,” Lian said.
Lian had wanted to see Niagara Falls for her sixth birthday. He never imagined he would run into a dead boy.
Jason hadn’t noticed him yet. Roy had no idea what to do. It’s not as if he could Dick and say, “Hey, how have you been? Did you know your dead brother is walking around Niagara Falls with a kid in tow?”
Roy could imagine how that conversation would go.
“Sorry, sweetie, it’s too dangerous,” he answered his daughter a beat later. His little girl pouted. Roy couldn’t help but smile. He loved Lian so much it hurt sometimes.
Suddenly, the little boy holding on to Jason looked at Roy with eerie green eyes before tugging on Jason’s pants and pointing at Roy. Jason looked at them. Roy watched as Jason’s eyes grew in fear before he got the little boy and ran. Well, if that wasn’t confirmation, Roy didn’t know what was.
Roy didn’t want to leave Lian alone, so he let his old friend run from him. It seemed he had some favors to call.
____
Raven was the only person Roy could think would help him without wanting to spill the beans right away. Wally was Dick’s best friend and would tell him immediately that they found his little brother alive; Starfire was out of the picture for similar reasons. Garth wouldn’t be able to keep it a secret. Cyborg could go either way. And Donna would want to go to Dick without even investigating first. So, Raven it was.
Once Roy explained who he saw and why he went to her, Raven agreed to help him.
She teleported them to Niagara Falls.
“There is a feeling of death here; it’s very strong.”
“Well, he did die. If he’s back…”
Raven shook her head, “It’s more than that. It feels like death magic but not malicious.”
Roy blinked. How was death magic not malicious?
Raven lifted him telekinetically, and they flew past the Canadian border.
Twenty minutes later, they landed in front of a little cottage in the middle of the forest. Jason was sipping a cup of tea on the porch on a rocking chair. He glared at Raven and Roy.
“If you wake my kid, I’m gonna kill you,” he threatened in a low voice. “What do you want, Harper? Did Dick send you?”
Roy blinked at Jason’s hard tone, and then what he said caught up to him.
“Dick, why would Dick send me? Aren’t you supposed to be dead?”
Jason snorted.
“Of course, they didn’t tell the hero community about the failure of the Batfamily coming back,” he said bitterly.
Roy blinked and turned to Raven, who frowned. Then what Jason said hit him, “Wait, Dick knows you’re back?!”
An hour later, Roy knew everything, and he was fuming. Dick had no right to keep something like this from him. So Jason had come back angry and spiteful; who cared? He was better now. Roy could understand not telling the whole damned world, but he couldn’t have told Roy that Jason was back? Roy almost committed suicide because of Jason’s death!
“So, how does the kid factor into all of this?”
Jason drank the rest of his now cold tea.
“I found him when he got spat out through a portal. I couldn’t leave him. I know it sounds weird, but I have a connection with him. We’re similar.”
“Not similar,” Raven said, “the same. Whatever he is, you are, too.”
Jason smiled sadly, “We’ve been touched by death and came back different. He’s not fully human. He’s half ghost, half human. Please, don’t tell the Bats you found me. They’d take him away from me, and I don’t think I’d survive it.”
Raven put a hand on Jason’s shoulder, and he felt a wash of calm come over him.
“Don’t worry; I know how you feel. I won’t tell anyone.”
“Me either, kid.”
Jason gave them a grateful smile. His eyes were suspiciously wet,
“Thank you.”
There was a beat of silence.
“So, when can we meet the tyke,” Roy asked.
Jason frowned, “When he wakes up. He doesn’t sleep enough, so I try to let him catch his Zs.”
“But I’ve been awake this whole time, papa,” a small voice said; no one was around.
Roy looked a bit spooked, and Raven looked surprised. Jason sighed.
“Danny, show yourself.”
A little boy with black hair and blue eyes appeared before them.
“Chum, you’re supposed to be asleep.”
“I couldn’t sleep; I felt a weird spirit’s presence. I wanted to make sure you were safe.”
Danny looked at Raven.
“You’re not like me and daddy, but you’re not fully human, either. What are you?”
“Danny, that’s rude,” Jason scolded him.
Danny pouted, and Raven laughed.
“It’s okay, Jason, he’s just curious. I’m half-human, half-demon.”
“That’s so cool! Me and daddy aren’t fully human, either. We’re halfas—half-human, half-ghost.”
“Danny, I’ve already told you I’m not a halfa. I don’t have any powers.”
“Okay, whatever you say, papa,” Danny said in a sing-song voice. Jason sighed.
Suddenly, Danny turned serious and pierced Raven and Roy with an intense look, “You’re not going to tell those bad people about us, right? They hurt daddy.”
Both Roy and Raven looked at each other. Raven flinched when she felt Jason’s overwhelming sadness and grief hit her. He was fingering a scar he had on his throat. How had he gotten it?
“Danny-lad, I already told you; I hurt them first. It’s okay; you don’t have to be mad at them.”
Danny’s eyes turned an eerie shade of neon green that had Raven shivering in her skin. Jason’s eyes turned into the same shade in response.
“It’s okay, Danny,” Raven tried to reassure the kid, “Nobody will find out about Jason from us.”
Danny looked at her for a while longer before nodding.
“Good, they don’t deserve him.”
Jason sighed.
“C’mon, I’ll make us some breakfast.”
Raven got up and followed the boys into the little cottage. She frowned as she felt a disturbance in the air. She looked south; something big was coming.
Hundreds of miles away, a green portal opened. A young teenage girl with red hair and glowing, teal eyes stepped out with a toddler in her arms. She was armed to the teeth.
“C’mon, Ellie, let’s go find our brother.”
Jazz is here! Is it a bit early, maybe, but I couldn't help myself. I chose Raven as the Titan to help find Jason because of her empath powers. She'd be able to understand Jason, and she's half-human like Danny and Jason. Jason is in denial that he is a halfa, but his powers will come in the future. We might not see the Batfam for two or three chapters.

Lament of Innocence things that I question myself (if I'm not alone 👀):
"They trusted each other completely, and they were bound by an old friendship."
The age gap between Leon and Mathias is literally 10 years. But that allows me to have some headcanon that Leon and Mathias knew each other because possibly their fathers were also knights or their mother had known each other.
"Rinaldo: The only person who truly understands it is Mathias.
Leon: If you are an acquaintance of Mathias, you are trustworthy."
Like how long Rinaldo and Mathias knew each other. Some think that they met few years ago but then is this line:
"Rinaldo: His family has a book of secret arts, originally handed down orally."
Which this gives me a theory that Mathias met Rinaldo when he was young. I can't exclude the possibility that Rinaldo also knew Mathias' father. I want to imagine that Mathias' father searched an alchimist and somehow he met Rinaldo.
"Succubus: Th-That old man... his own daughter..."
This really interesting aspect that Rinaldo's daughter, Justine, served her at one point if we take the comic, but I want to think that Justine was a teenager when she was turned by Walter and then was given to serve the Succubus. But then the alchimist says:
"Rinaldo: ... And at the center of it were the bodies of my wife and son... I could not believe my eyes... My daughter was there, laughing, blood dripping from her mouth..."
Justine was probabily outside before she became a vampire. After she was turned, she killed her mother and brother (and I think that she was the second born while her brother was the first born) and Rinaldo was in shock state.
The reason why Rinaldo didn't tell to Leon in the first place is because was uncomfortable topic after someone when really in hell and when he killed his daughter, Rinaldo cried about his family after he lost against Walter and stayed in the cabin, but want a revange for Walter had done to him.
"Rinaldo: Making the Philosopher's Stone is the ultimate goal of alchemy... It provides eternal youth. The two other stones were apparently created accidentally. No details of how they were made remain now."
So the Ebony and Crimson stones were creared accidentally? But if we look to create the Philosopher's Stone where were needed four stages:
nigredo, the blackening or melanosis
albedo, the whitening or leucosis
citrinitas, the yellowing or xanthosis
rubedo, the reddening, purpling, or iosis
This give a me a theory that the where other 2 stones besides the Ebony Stone (the weakest) and Crimson Stone (the strongest).
"Leon: I abandoned everything in order to save Sara! I could... I could never do such a thing."
At this point Leon was really in the most desperate to save Sara only to find out that Walter vampirized her. Leon didn't want to sacrifice her, but Sara felt that she would become a monster. Saddly, Leon made the choise that would bring the existence of the most iconic warpon: Vampire Killer.
"Walter: I see... It seems you have enjoyed the gift that I gave you.
Leon: Yes, thanks to that, I now have the power to defeat you."
Literally Leon was trying to say: Thanks for turning my girlfriend intro a vampire and now I have the power to kill you. (I didn't want to make joke about this, but this was probabily in Leon's mind)
"Mathias: That was my goal. It was my revenge against God!"
One thing that Mathias did this was because Elisabetha died and he was jealous of Leon that Sara was alive. But as I mention in the my post of cause of Elisabetha's illness, which I believe that was the real reason why she died.
"Leon: Is this what the woman you loved would have wanted? The Mathias I know would not have loved such a woman."
At first I thinked that "your wife didn't want you to become like this" but then something was in my mind that "do you ever thinked that your wife would be happy". Seriously Mathias. How selfish you could be? He uses Elisabetha as a pretext at this point for his goals.
"Mathias: Elisabetha was a kind, honorable woman. She was concerned only for me to the very end... That is why I hate Him! Am I wrong?!"
Are you sure, Mathias. I really think that Elisabetha is probabily felling sad at her husband's actions. Imagine if Mathias' parents watch at their son from afterlive and and be like: "... seriously son?! We didn't raises you like that!?". Also would be an argument between Leon's and Mathias' parents.
But imagine that after the events and Leon suddenly tells to Rinaldo about what happend:
Leon: Mathias is a vampire.
Rinaldo: Unfortunatly, he would become like Walter.
But after that tragedy, Leon married a woman that started the liniage so their descedents will hunt Mathias.

chapter 2
Tumblr media
Joel Miller x gn!/f!reader
series masterlist - chapter 1
summary: You’ve left a community formed by ex-FEDRA soldiers with a group of people in the hopes to find Jackson, Wyoming. Being the only surviving member of that group, you come across Ellie and Joel, following them through the wilderness. When you’re accidentally seen by Ellie, you have no place to hide. Or ability to do so, when your body shuts down.
rating: mature
chapter warnings: angst, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, thoughts about death, temporary mutism, bad puns, no use of y/n
word count: 5.5k
notes: Happy Sunday! We finally meet Ellie and Joel! Even though there is heavy anxiety described in this chapter, there’s some levity as well in the form of Ellie and Joel being like father and daughter already and when we’re dealing with Ellie, there has to be puns as well.

The cold earth under you is unforgiving behind this damn rock. It digs into you, making your body ache even more. You can hear the girl’s footsteps and you hold your breath. The revolver starts to shake in your numbing hand as you try to figure out what to do. Could you crawl? Where would you go, there’s no place to hide. And even if you wanted to, you couldn’t. Your whole body is in panic mode.
You choke on your breathing when you can’t hold it in any longer and your skin prickles from your distress. Is she going to kill you immediately? Is she going to call for the man to do it? You could kill her if you get your hands to work. But that would mean the man would come after her. And then you’d definitely be dead.
Are they going to… You can see your brother, his smile and his bright eyes. You can imagine his warm hand wrapped around yours… And then it flashes into that horrifying look on his face, when he wasn’t him anymore, but a shell of the young man he was supposed to become. The glassy eyes, the gray skin.
The footsteps stop. You look up and see the girl. She’s looking at you with her gun pointed towards you. You open your mouth, but nothing comes out. You just keep opening it and your body shakes while you look at her with pleading eyes.
You want to say so many things. “Please don’t hurt me.” “I’m not infected.” “Please leave.” “Please, you won’t see me again.” “Please.” But you can’t. The girl keeps staring at you and her brows furrow together. Her gun lowers just a little.
Your revolver slips from your hand and your arms flop down. You have no energy to keep them up. You have no energy to do anything. You’re cold and hungry and scared. Maybe it would be for the best if she just shot you. Then you wouldn’t have to feel this way anymore.
The girl takes a step back. She keeps her eyes locked on you while she backs away and disappears behind the other side of the rock you’re hiding behind. You can hear her fast steps getting further and further, she’s running away. Maybe she won’t say a word to the man, maybe she’ll let you be. Maybe she’ll let you live.
You know it’s wishful thinking. You feel your body slump to the side until you feel snow against your cheek. The cold feels good against your skin, at least it feels like something even though it competes with the numbness. Your body isn’t yours anymore, it’s someone else’s. Your breathing won’t calm down. And you’ve lost the ability to focus on anything around you. The only thing you can see is flashes of your brother. You hope the man and the girl will end your life quickly.
“Just come on, I don’t think they’re infected.” You hear a voice. The girl.
“Goddammit, what the hell do you think you’re doing,” a disgruntled voice says. The man. And the unmistakable click of a rifle. You squeeze your eyes shut and you wish…
“Look!” The girl says, her steps right next to you.
“Get away from there, you can’t be sure.” Heavier footsteps. A light stumbling sound. You wish you could speak, ask them to leave you be. You’ll be dead eventually anyway, either from hunger, the freezing temperature, infected or your own hand. They don’t have to waste their ammo on you.
A light whimper leaves your throat and you can hear them both stop. Like they’re holding their breaths. You feel something poke your shoulder harshly and you blink your eyes open. The man is staring at you with hardness in his eyes, crouched next to you. His rifle is aimed right at your face.
The girl is standing behind him, her head peeking over his shoulder. No one says a word. You’d still like to, but you can’t. You want to fade away, disappear completely. You just want this to stop.
“Hey, you focus on us,” the man’s deep voice says harshly. You can feel the rifle poke your shoulder once more. You look at him in fear, waiting for him to do what he wants to do. He wouldn’t be holding that rifle like that if he didn’t mean to use it.
“Are you hurt?” The girl asks. The man sighs deeply out of frustration. You focus on the girl and her open face. She looks like she has grown up in this violent world. But she still has that innocence in her, that little crumb of childlike naivety, that she’s probably going to lose sooner rather than later.
You open your mouth and try to tell her no, but your jaw is slack, and your tongue doesn’t move. You just look at her and a whine escapes your lungs.
“I take that as a no. How long have you been following us?” The man questions, his hand tightening around the rifle once more.
“Can’t you see that they’re not a threat?” The girl points her hand towards you, but this time the man doesn’t just sigh but stands up and turns towards her. He whispers something to her which makes her face fall.
His gesturing makes you believe that he’d like to be a bit louder to make his point across, but he also doesn’t want you to hear what he has to say. The girl takes a step back and the man comes to stand right in front of you before he squats down, his gun once again on you. You stare ahead, not really focusing on anything while you wait for him to decide your fate.
“How long have you been following us?” He demands. You force your head to move to shake it, only for the snow to dig against your cheek more firmly. You tap your cold finger against the ground. You know it doesn’t make any sense. Your movements don’t make any sense to you either. But you try. He follows you and a deep crease settles between his brows.
“What’s your name?” He asks. His voice sounds just a little gentler, a little quieter, but it hasn’t lost its edge. You dare to look at him straight in the eye as you let out a trembling sigh out of your mouth. He nods and stands up. He says something to the girl, and she takes off running. The man turns back to you but doesn’t come level with you. He just stares for a moment, before he exhales in resignation.
“Can you sit up?” He points his rifle to the ground, easing your racing heart just a smidge. You shake your head slowly. You really would just like to be left alone. They can’t help you and they certainly won’t take you with them wherever they’re going.
It would be for the best if they’d leave you so you could end it now when you still have a little resolve left in you. And then he sees it. Your revolver. The handle is peeking from under your thigh where you fell on top of it and with his boot, he nudges your weak leg to the side to get the gun from you. He tucks it into his jeans, right next to a knife sheath with a thick handle poking out, and that cold, hard reservation on his face gets only deeper.
The girl comes running back carrying something in her arms. The man puts the rifle on his shoulder, she gives him the bundle, and he says something to her in a hushed tone. She nods vigorously, thrill on her face. He hands her the rifle before he turns to you and leans towards your cold body.
He throws the bundle to the ground right next to you. The girl is pointing the gun at you, her eyes hard and focused. The man grasps your arms tightly, bruising you even through your thick winter coat. And suddenly he lifts you to sit you up against the rock. Air fills your lungs and you gasp hard as it freezes your throat. He grabs the bundle from the snowy ground, a blanket, and wraps it around your shoulders.
He looks at you for a moment before he reaches down. You follow his every move, scared he’s going ambush you. Maybe he’s not helping you at all. Maybe he’s going to grab that knife from the sheath and jam it right into your throat.
He kneels in front of you and slowly reaches towards your face. You flinch away, squeezing your eyes tightly shut. You’re surprised you’re feeling scared. You thought you’d be ready for it, your death. But now that it’s seemingly here, you can’t help but feel it. Your breathing makes you lightheaded and your whole body seizes up.
He catches your chin between his fingers, turning your face slightly away from him. There’s something cold touching the other side of your face. It drags across your cheek and temple, slowly moving back and forth. The movement makes you blink your eyes open and see him carefully assessing your face.
“What the hell has happened to you?” the man asks in a hushed tone. The crease between his brows doesn’t ease up as he picks up more snow to wipe at your face.
“Did you bring it?” He talks a little louder and the girl jerks into action, coming to stand right next to him. She takes something from her coat pocket and hands it to him. He looks at it and wraps it around his hand before he touches your face again. A cloth. You lean into his touch just the slightest and he immediately pulls his hand back. You see the faded cloth in his hand, it’s covered in blood. Your stomach drops and you feel bile rise in your throat. You swallow it down, willing yourself to keep from vomiting.
“Can you stand?” He asks, rising to his feet and taking a step back. You look at your legs and try to move them, but still nothing. You look up and feel your eyes welling up with tears. No, you can’t let this happen. If you can keep yourself from puking, you should be able to keep yourself from crying. You can’t show yourself breaking in front of them.
It won’t help your case in any way and the least you want is for them to pity you. The girl exhales sharply and you see her give the man a pointed look and an eye roll. He turns back to you. He doesn’t say a word, just leans down and takes a strong hold of your arms before he pulls you to your feet. You don’t know how he does it, since you’re boneless against him, but he hauls you up and you stay standing. His hands move to your shoulders, steadying you.
“Can you walk?” The girl pipes in and the man practically growls at her. A shiver runs through you and you try to plead with your eyes. You know you can’t walk and the longer you stand, the weaker you feel. Your body involuntarily starts to lean towards the man. Your knees are about to give out any second. His hands get a little tighter against you.
“Keep them in your aim,” he says to the girl, before he lifts you in his arms. You lean your head against his shoulder and try to keep on breathing, but it comes out shallow with the sobs you’re trying to suppress. You sway gently in his arms and from the corner of your eye you see the girl following you close by, the rifle tightly on you. You squeeze his jacket in your stiff fist and hold on to him, like he could save you rather than kill you.
Their campfire crackles as he stands you down next to it. You look him in his deep brown eyes and maybe it’s the look you give him, but he helps you sit down. The girl gives the rifle back to the man before she comes and tucks the blanket more tightly around your shoulders.
“Ellie!” The man hisses. You look at her and she gives you a gentle smile.
“They’re clearly cold,” the girl, Ellie, tells him and stomps to sit next to him. Slowly you let yourself fall to your side, not really caring about the gasp Ellie lets out. The man grabs her arm and keeps her next to him, while the gun looks to be just resting on his lap. But the way he’s holding his hand on it tells you he would be quick to point the barrel at you.
It’s quiet except for the fire that tries to lull you into a sleep. Except you don’t. You hear the man and Ellie talk with hushed voices, while their gazes never leave you for a few seconds longer. There’s something cooking on the fire and after a while they eat. Ellie asks him if they should save something for you, a moment passes and he shakes his head. While you listen, you can’t comprehend what they’re saying. It’s just the sound of people talking that comforts you.
The different orange hues flicker in front of your eyes. The way they’re burning probably means you haven’t blinked in a while. And then it starts again. The flashes of your brother. You feel him around you and see his dead eyes.
You don’t know when you’ve started crying, but you are. You can feel the cold, salty tears on your face falling in a steady stream. With a shaky hand you try to wipe them away but more keep coming out.
You can’t see anything else than your brother. You weren’t there for him, you weren’t able to save him. You should have been able to do it all. You made a promise to yourself a long time ago to keep him safe. And then you think about your sister, whose panicked, but strong face flashes in your memory, who died while helping you.
It was your fault. You made them leave the QZ in the first place. It’s all your fault. Now you’re paying for it.
You’ve lost everything, and everyone. You realize instantly that there’s no chance for you to survive either.
Tumblr media
The morning light creeps in grey and cold. Your body is stiff from lying on the hard ground for so long in the same position. The man is standing next to his backpack, but he’s quick to turn towards you when you gasp as you sit up.
You blink your dry, swollen eyes and wrap the blanket around your shoulders and neck. He looks at you with an expression that you can’t read. Ellie must still be asleep. You turn your head slowly first to the man and then to Ellie, whose figure is in the darkness of the cave where she had set her sleeping bag in.
“Can you speak?” The man asks with a quiet voice. You open your mouth and let out a breath. You try to make your tongue work, but it’s still not cooperating. He just nods, then turns back to his pack.
Not long after Ellie wakes up and says morning to you. She talks about something with the man, and they turn their backs to you, planning their next move.
“You hungry?” Ellie asks you suddenly, offering you a piece of jerky. You know you are, but you still shake your head no. They can’t waste whatever they have on you, when you know they’re going to leave you here. Ellie keeps talking and sits next to you, clearly too close for comfort for the man. She tells you about a dream she saw — she was running with sheep, but they kept nibbling her feet so that her shoes kept falling off. She chuckles and sighs, her eyes on the man. Slowly she starts to talk about hunting.
“Joel here promised to teach me, even though he’s not sure how I can handle the dressing,” she says, her words pointed to the man, Joel. He doesn’t say anything to her, just sits down and takes a bite of the dried meat in his own hand.
“Have you tried hunting?” Ellie turns to you while she chews. You look at her, and then at Joel, and nod. The memory of your brother and sister floods your head. You hunted with them, not even that long ago. It was right before you met the travellers…
You pick a stick from the ground with weak fingers and start drawing with it on the ground. You swirl it until you realise that you can use this in your advantage.
“Thank you,” you spell out and look at Ellie, who’s following your every move. She straightens her back and her head whips up to look at Joel. He notices the writing on the ground as well and then looks at you.
“What’s your name?” Ellie asks, her voice full of anticipation. You write it down for her and she repeats it to Joel. He nods curtly.
“How long have you been following us?” He asks, this time his voice is sharp.
“Two days,” your hand starts to shake when you know what this means. You’re being interrogated. And this can lead to you getting yourself killed.
“What are you doing out here alone?” Ellie’s voice is gentler, even though she has that sting of impatience lacing the words. You’d like to tell her, and him as well, since he’s the one with the weapons by his side, but you can’t.
Your hand wobbles and the stick breaks with the pressure. You’re not letting yourself cry even though you can feel the tears stinging in your eyes once more.
“Where are you going?” He asks coldly and you can see Ellie whip her head towards him.
“Joel,” she whispers loudly. He doesn’t focus on her. He’s keeping an eye on you and your reaction. You see his hand wrap around the rifle. You reach for the broken stick and write carefully on the ground with your unsteady hand.
“They’re looking for Jackson,” Ellie reads out, her eyes full of questions which she directs at Joel. He doesn’t say anything, but he’s measuring you to determine what to do with you.
“We can’t leave them here,” Ellie points out and Joel finally lets you from under his scrutiny to look at her with anger.
“We also can’t take them with us,” he points out.
“But they can’t even talk, how do you think they’re going to survive out here if the scary people find them?” Scary people? You swallow thickly and a shiver runs down your spine. You look at Joel and see in his eyes exactly what he’d like to say. They can’t survive and it’s not my problem.
“We’re looking for…”
“Ellie!” His voice is hard, and she quiets immediately.
“What harm is there if we take them with us, Jackson can’t be that far off from where we’re headed?” Ellie sounds convincing. And Joel seems to know it too, even though you can read the expression on his face so well.
You gave that same look to your brother, after the siblings had sacrificed themselves for the rest of you to get away. You have to think about yourself. You can’t save everyone. And you know that he’s thinking about it. You’d only slow them down, possibly bring harm with you if you run into those scary people Ellie mentioned.
The quiet between the two stretches and fills with tension. Joel is logical, Ellie is more empathetic. You duck your head down and write carefully on the ground. You can feel Ellie reaching forward to see what you have to say.
“No, we’re not leaving you. I’ll find you something you can lean on and then we’ll start walking. It can be on our way, right, Joel?” Ellie won’t let go, even if you’ve just said to leave you, you’ll be fine. The lie is so obvious that even Ellie knows it. She stands up and instead of leaving your side, she offers you her hand. You look at it, and then at Joel who watches the scene in front of him disapprovingly.
“C’mon, you’re coming,” she says once more, almost annoyed that she has to be so persistent. You reach your hand out from under the blanket and she takes it without questions. Your hand feels weak against hers and when she pulls you to your feet, you feel wobbly and like you’re going to fall any moment. She leads you to lean against the cave wall. She turns to Joel and mouths something to him. His frown deepens. She walks confidently away from you both, announcing that she’s going to look for something to help you walk.
You don’t dare to look at Joel. You just know he’s still staring at you. You can feel his eyes boring into you, trying to figure you out.
Ellie never leaves far and comes back after finding a fallen tree with thicker branches. She has somehow managed to twist one of the branches off the trunk and gives it to you after ripping the small twigs off it. She’s smiling the whole time, like she’s excited about what’s happening here. Your stomach is churning from the tension between you and Joel. He makes you uneasy. She goes to collect her sleeping bag and backpack, checking that she hasn’t left anything behind. Joel moves slower and you don’t blame him.
If you were travelling with a child and a stranger would just appear and join your group, you’d be wary too. When he keeps your revolver tucked into his jeans and pulls his backpack on his back, it’s like him saying he doesn’t have any other choices. Ellie has decided to trust you and she’s forcing him to do the same.
You listen to your footfalls as you follow the pair. You wonder how they know each other. Joel is the one who only speaks when there’s something to say. Ellie is the one making the conversations happen. And then there are moments when Joel says something unprompted. A remark about a tree, how a bird is a sign of something according to his late mom and Ellie eats it up, asking more questions.
She makes him talk and he’s not totally opposed to it. You walk just a few steps behind them, your legs getting stronger the longer you keep on going. After a while you lose the branch Ellie got you because you feel like it’s only slowing you down. Ellie doesn’t try to ask you any questions, but she does turn towards you to say something every once in a while, to include you in their small group.
Suddenly she swings her backpack off her other shoulder and starts digging through it, pulling out a book. You knew you saw right, no matter how out of place it seemed back then. You hear Joel groan when he looks back at the girl, his shoulders hunching forward.
“You’ll love these,” she tells you, her eyes shining excitedly, before she clears her throat. “The past, the present and the future all walk into a bar. It was tense.” She giggles and you don’t know what’s really going on.
“I’m glad I know sign language, it’s pretty handy.” You listen to her and then realise what she’s reading out loud. Bad puns, in a book, and she’s carrying it around. This can’t be the first time she has opened it around Joel, based on his reaction.
“Oh, this is a good one! I’m reading a book about anti-gravity. I just can’t put it down.” She laughs with her head tipping back. The moment is so weird, like hiking through the cold wilderness is just something they like to do for fun. You feel yourself being confused and amused at the same time.
Ellie turns to you, walking backwards for a moment.
“What do you call it when a cat wins first place at a dog show?” She pulls the book close to her chest, looking proud of herself. Her cheeks are blushed and she looks like she’s waiting for you to answer. You open your mouth and blink a few times before she snickers. “A cat-has-trophy!” She turns back around as she tries to find a good joke to share.
“Maybe Will Livingston can retire again,” you hear Joel’s rumbling voice and see he’s giving Ellie a bored look.
“Okay, okay, last one, I promise. My friend David just had his ID stolen. We just call him Dav now.” She claps the book dramatically closed and cackles. You feel your lips stretching into a small smile, and it gets wider when you see Joel roll his eyes at the girl. She runs up to him and swats him with the book.
“I’ll always have puns for you,” she singsongs. Joel’s eyes flit across your face, raises his other brow almost in challenge when he sees you smiling before he turns his attention back to the trek ahead. Their relationship is odd. They seem close, but there’s also an invisible wall between them that he’s trying to keep up.
A clear blue river runs on your left and you look at the glimmering surface in the sunlight. It’s inviting, fresh, and you’d like to dip your feet into it, maybe splash your face with the water. But Ellie’s pace leads her to walk right next to you, rather than with Joel, and it’s obvious she’s deep in thought.
“Hey Joel?” Her voice is unsure. “What if this is the river of death?” Your heart skips a beat, not knowing what she means. Joel stops right on his heels and digs out his map, following something with his finger while looking around to find some tell-tale signs of where you are.
His hesitation makes you nervous. He has been so confident so far, intimidating, and now when those falter, you can’t help but feel like something is wrong.
The horse hooves are the first thing you hear. And then the neighing mixed with people shouting. They ride over a hill and surround you. Your knees give in right away. You fall to the ground face first, the hard snow drilling into your face. You turn your head, your wide eyes trying to make sense of the chaos unfolding around you
Your breath catches in your throat and your head is screaming at you to save yourself in whatever way you can. These people are going to kill you. Joel and Ellie lift their arms up, and you try to mimic their movements, but once again your body betrays you. It’s not working. And you start to panic.
These people aren’t like Ellie and Joel. They don’t have the patience to see if you’re a danger or not. And if you can’t lift your arms up, they might just shoot you before asking questions. You can’t catch your racing heart and your lungs burn from the panicked gasps that you’re letting out. The shouting only gets louder but you’re not sure why. Are they shouting at you? You hear a familiar, demanding deep voice, but you can’t comprehend what Joel is telling them.
From the corner of your eye you see Joel’s feet turn towards you, just for a moment. He must hear you panicking. You try so hard to do as you’re probably told to, but you can’t. And it’s only getting worse.
This is something new. Black spots swim across your vision and it’s almost welcoming, when you feel your head getting lighter and lighter. Your whole body shudders before a wave of cold sweat breaks the surface of your skin and you’re falling.
Deep into a dark abyss, where you feel nothing, see nothing, hear nothing, smell nothing. A pure void that you don’t know if you should be scared of or glad about. It’s just you and you’re sure this is your end. Your brother and sister are with you, smiling, until they’re not. You see his dead eyes. You feel her hand slip through yours.
This is your nightmare, your death. And you wish someone would take your head off your shoulders so you wouldn’t have to see these images or feel these feelings ever again.
Tumblr media
When you open your eyes, you’re not sure what you expect to see. It’s not the light curtains hanging in front of a window, where gentle sunshine streams in. The room isn’t big but it’s comfortable. The bed you’re in is large, probably the largest you’ve ever slept in.
You’re alone and there’s only quiet around you. The light yellow wallpaper is making the room feel warm, like you’re cocooned in a comforting hug. The duvet on top of you feels surprisingly heavy and when you move your arms from underneath it, you realise there’s also a blanket on top of you.
You’re not wearing the clothes you had on before anymore, but a light long sleeved shirt, some sweatpants and thick socks. You know you haven’t dressed yourself, but you also don’t know who else it could’ve been.
You test your body. With tentative moves you wiggle your fingers and toes, then your legs and arms. You reach your arms over your head and stretch your legs out, revelling in the relaxing feeling of blood flowing through your body and your muscles waking up. You’re relieved your body is doing what you tell it to do.
In a way it all feels like a dream, a nightmare, that didn’t actually happen. But when you open your mouth to ask if there’s anyone here, you can’t say a word. Your jaw is tight and your tongue sits against your bottom teeth like it doesn’t know what its function is.
You try to let out a sound, but your throat burns from the effort. You close your mouth and sit up cautiously. Your heart beat picks up suddenly. You feel like you’re in danger even though there’s nothing to prove it.
When your socked feet touch the wooden floor, you freeze and stare at them for a long while. There’s a chair and a nightstand next to your bed. You take the glass of water from the surface with both hands and put it to your lips, but don’t drink. It might not be water.
You put the glass back down with shaky hands. You feel weak and your head hums with the feeling of not having eaten anything for presumably a while. There’s a sweater on the chair and you pull it on, the shirt swallowing you.
With unstable hands you roll the sleeves a few times before you stand up. Your weakness gets more palpable when you try to walk, so you find support from the furniture and finally the walls, when you open the door to your room and step out. There’s stairs and you slowly walk them down step by step, a smell of some food wafting from downstairs.
You follow your nose and find a young black woman cooking something in the kitchen. When she sees you, she stops and smiles, gesturing for you to come sit at the table. You don’t know what’s happening or if you should trust her.
She speaks in a gentle voice, not expecting you to say a word. But she keeps talking. She introduces herself as Sasha. She tells you you’re in Jackson and that you’ve been sleeping for the past couple of days. She’s one of the people who has been looking out for you. And those are the magic words that make you follow her to the dinner table and sit down.
She tells you about the people who found you and that you were brought here after their sniffer dogs had cleared you to not be infected. Apparently, there are some things that you have to go through with a doctor, mainly the fact that you have been under tremendous pressure and the doctor wants to start rehabilitating you as soon as possible.
She asks if you have any questions and slowly moves a pen and a piece of paper in front of you. You stare at them for a while before you take the pen in your hand. The man and the girl. Joel and Ellie. The woman stands up from the dinner table and goes to stir something on the stove while you write their names down. She sits back next to you and looks at the paper you push slowly towards her.
“The last I heard, Joel and Ellie left a few days ago. His brother, Tommy, lives here with his wife, Maria. They told the people who found you everything they knew about you, which was very helpful.” She has kind eyes and the way she speaks soothes you.
“I didn’t get a chance to meet them personally, but I believe they were invited to stay. I don’t know if they’ll come back, but at least for now they’re not here.” You nod at her words and slump against your chair.
“I have some broth on the stove, it’ll be ready soon.” Sasha gives you a warm smile and sets the table for the two of you.

(About your post about the relationship between Sam and Amelie/Bridget) GOD, RIGHT?! The relationship between them is insane and so complex, I really wish that it will be explored in DS2. Can you imagine being raised by this like, goddess of destruction and extinction and not knowing about it, and then finding out that you have to be the one to kill her to save humanity, all the people you've just started to develop relationships with, to provide a good world for your daughter, but... That's still your mom. That's your sister who comforted you when you were a scared child.
I think that Amelie is such a fascinating character, because she's so hard to pinpoint- she offset the balance of the whole world to save a child she accidentally killed in the process of developing a way to save humanity and decided to raise that child both to atone and provide Sam with the best life she could after killing her parents, but ALSO as a human killswitch that will be forced into talking her out of wiping all life on Earth, which is such a huge responsibility for ANYONE, and Sam didn't even consent to do that! You can make compelling arguments for both "she's a monster" and "she meant well".
I feel like she's almost kinda outside of human morality in some way, because, well, can she even be considered "human"? I think that yeah, kinda, but the burden she was forced to bear warps her, in a way, to the point where she cannot be fully seen throught the conventional spectrum of human morality. I mean of course, her using Homo Demens to kill tens of thousands of people is undeniably an evil act, but when you look at her as someone who is pretty much biologically destined to wipe out at least millions of people (given that the post-Stranding population numbers are much smaller), you can see how she would see that number as pretty much nothing in a cosmic scale. Not that it justifies it but you know, optics.
And she's this godlike being who has a very close relationship with this one paticular human, her favorite out of all people in the world, one who she raised since infancy and manipulated on a molecular scale (like you've said). She has done so much harm to him, irreversably warped him to the very core, but she undeniably loves him. Sam's her baby, her little brother she comforted and looked after- this god of destruction still shows a human side. She has absolutely traumatized Sam and she clearly feels guilty about it, but she probably thought that it had to be done, to give millions of humans a potential chance. Just as the BBs are used as sacrifices for the chiral network, Sam (a former BB at that) was used as one both for the network and humanity.
I love that the trailer of DS2 (the first one) has the dreamcatcher hanging off the celling as one of the first visuals we see. I REALLY hope that the aftermath of Sam's relationship and goodbye with Amelie will be one of the main themes of the game- and I think that a compelling argument can be made for Amelie "putting a piece of her soul" into Lou at the end of DS1, but I don't want to bore you 😅
(Sorry for yapping, but I'm going through death stranding withdrawials and this post scratched an itch. I adore talking about the lore and themes of this game, even if it is often overlooked 😅)
ohghug thank you so much for the big long ask im dying to talk about this too and you have given me so many things to respond to and build off of. i will literally never be bored of DS analysis.
i also hope she is directly in DS2! i think its pretty much confirmed she'll be there at the very least in a 'haunting the narrative' kind of way considering Higgs seems to be leading a cult with her as their messianic (?) figure, but Sam deserves some sort of resolution that isn't a desperate goodbye on the beach. i personally need him to have a screaming crying confrontation with her able to RESPOND to everything she's done. like you say, Sam must have the most complicated and tangled feelings about Amelie bottled up inside him and he deserves the chance to get some closure on at least some of it beyond 'your sister-mom doomed herself to her own personal hell to save you specifically and coincidentally also the rest of humanity, and her final act was to bring your baby back to life.'
i want to hear more from Amelie so bad. how does she justify herself? how does she consider her own morality in the grand scheme of things? what we do know from the first game is extremely interesting but even her relationship with Sam, the one thing the game spends so much time establishing and drawing upon for Amelie's reasoning, is so thin for most of his childhood! i want to know so much about the intricacies of how she ticks, how she justifies what she does to literally the one person she loves most in the whole wide world! it's not completely unjustifiable, just the same as it isn't completely justifiable, but i'm so so curious as to what angle she uses to approach this moral problem.
and i completely agree that she probably isn't even on human morality levels, but does Amelie think herself beyond it? what are the implications if she believes herself to be condemned by most human morality spectrums? does she even care? if she was asked, would she lie? i mean, she's a politician, so she must think about these things. as you said, optics, but is she so far removed from humanity to fundamentally misunderstand just how deplorable her actions might seem to others. even when she's rushing through justifying herself to Sam, it's not particularly... strong. it weak because she genuinely doesn't see a need to justify it further, she doesn't know how to be any more convincing than that, or because she wants Sam to judge her as harshly as possible so he'll agree to be the trigger to her very elaborate assisted suicide?
and it's interesting you bring up biological destiny, because i was literally just thinking about the conspicuous lack of Bridget's parents. obviously, Amelie is formed by spiritual mitosis and not really birthed, but Bridget never once mentions her own parents or her own childhood even as she spends so much time discussing Sam's and her own parental role. people usually draw on knowledge of how they were raised when they become parents (which has awful implications considering the shitshow of Sam's childhood) but the effect of this big empty space no one brings up makes Bridget feel like an entity who spawned fully formed, knowing her purpose immediately. actually, i don't think anyone ever talks about the parents of the extinction entities. can they have parents? are they born at all? their birth must be effected in some way by the eternal umbilical cord, and that parasaurolophus Heartman showed us a picture of must have had issues in the egg considering the yolk is usually absorbed through where her umbilical was. maybe she was just birthed by the universe, maybe all extinction entities were, and that where their umbilical connection leads back to. but imagine being Bridget's mother. imagine being (or at the very least feeling) responsible for creating the end of the world in human form. we already know the umbilical connection is extremely important in Death Stranding, touching a BB's allows you to share it's powers, it ties BT's to the world of the living, carrying a DOOMS afflicted baby gives you DOOMS too. what would it feel like to carry the Extinction Entity?
i imagine pretty fucking awful, if Lucy is any example to go by, and she only had DOOMS which is literally just a very minor form of Amelie's dreams. i wouldn't be surprised if Amelie's own mother committed suicide/ went insane/ was otherwise distant from her, but the implications of such trauma from Amelie's early life makes me think very hard about Amelie potentially inflicting similar mother trauma on Sam in the Bridget form to act out her own fantasies of the comfort she never received in the Amelie form. and that would be fucking INSANE and also make so much sense. I agree she probably does feel guilty about the trauma she's giving Sam , but i think more than justifying it as for the greater good, she desperately desperately needs someone to understand her to form a connection, and she would absolutely inflict it on him if she thought they could grow closer because of it. it would develop Amelie's inability to actually understand Sam as a person (her insistence on Sam reconnecting, the amount of times she says 'i know' something about him without ever listening to him adamantly refuting it) because she's so blinded by what she expects him to become from her conscious or unconscious conditioning. she expects his trauma responses to be like her trauma responses, but she literally doesn't know enough about humans to realize children aren't all the same malleable ball of clay and have their own intrinsic personalities and quirks from birth (and i think this is probably the way she justifies her treatment of BBs in general. like "what do you mean children are people, they're obviously children." she recognises inherent tragedy in the death of a child, but she doesn't actually understand that children are more than potential-people.) obviously this is literal grasping at straws theoryposting here, but the point is i need Sam to grill her with surgical precision on screen and i need to be able to watch it and make notes.
you could never bore me with the implications of the Lou-Amelie connection. never. this has been on my mind since day one, and i really do not think it is an accident that our first look at Elle Fanning is her in a mask. all the masks of the first game lead back to Amelie in the end - Diehardman's black mask was Bridget's first, Higgs only started wearing his gold mask after becoming radicalized by her - and i think Elle/Lou's golden mask is going to follow the exact same pattern. and then her strings...
i am literally unable to imagine what the end game of this connection will be. there are so many ways it could play out and so many angles kojima could bring to it if he so wanted. i really hope it's not that Amelie used her god powers to fuck with time and some part of her without memories reincarnated as Lou because i can only imagine the torture of raising your own mother. it would just seem... selfish, i guess, for Amelie to walk back her promise to bear eternal solitude, even if there is something deeply tragic about her doing it to be close to Sam again. something very Orpheus and Eurydice about it, but like that myth, i can't imagine it ending in anything except tragedy. at the very least Sam deserves happiness, even if Amelie objectively doesn't (and probably can't be without access to Sam, which would probably drive Sam miserable.)
plus Sam deserves to have at least one meaningful relationship that wasn't engineered for him by Amelie in some way.

The Owl House Guys ranked as Dads (Raine Included!)
(Note: I will be using both Wittebane brothers, so this will be pre-show Philip, and not current Emperor"Can go get sucked into a tornado and die" Belos. Also; Hunter, Gus, and Edric will be aged up for common sense purposes.)
Also, this is just my own opinion guys. If y'all have your own opinions...good for you.
(Canon Dads)
Manny Noceda: Alright. Even though we do not fully know much about The OG himself, from what we can see from how Camila and Luz talk about him and from the many family photos, is that he was honestly the best Dad in the human realm, hands down. He was the source of Luz' fascination for fantasy, and imagination, and spontaneous creativity, and had shared the same love of Cosmic Frontier as Camila.
Dad Rating: 100/100
Alador Blight: Mr. Blight is honestly the best example of a IRL Dad who has gotten roped into a bit of an unhealthy relationship with his wife that probably started out well, but after getting involved with having to build those abomination soldiers for the Emperor's Coven, had caused him to accidentally neglect his own children because of Odelia forcing him to work his head off for literal to Titan years! Though that doesn't mean that he was a bad father. He really does love his children, even if his way of showing it is a little weird sometimes, but he's slowly working to become a better father than he was before now that he's no longer under Odelia's influence.
Dad Rating: 60/100
Harvey and Gilbert Park: They are two dads just trying to do what they think is best for dear Willow, and I love it. Now, while I can understand how Harvey would be more upset over the unjust expulsion, wanting to ground Willow for 3 years is a tad much...so points deducted. Gilbert on the other hand seems to be the voice of reason in the relationship, kinda being the one to balance his husband out as it were. I also love that he honestly secretly promised their daughter that he wouldn't tell Harvey that she was sneaking out to save Luz when Odalia was...so to speak...trying to kill her.
Dad Ratings: 85/100
Dell Clawthorne: This man honestly reminded me of a teacher I had once, who was the sweetest, caring man I've ever met. Next to Manny, Dell is very proud of his daughters and loves them no matter what, which was proven when he and Eda finally talked after so many years and he showed that his love for her had never faltered even after she had unintentionally attacked him in her Owl Beast mode.
Dad Rating: 100/100
(Unconfirmed-Canon Dad)
Caleb Wittebane: Okay, yes. I know he's a brother, but he is in this list because he had to take on the Father role for his little brother. Caleb had to sacrifice almost everything in order to care for his brother when they were still wandering around the literal wilderness, until reaching Gravesfield. He had to be his guide, his provider and protector until he finally reached his late teens. Caleb without a doubt knew that he and his brother had no choice but to fit in with the residents of Old Gravesfield and that included becoming witch hunters. He probably didn't want to become one, but feared that he and Philip would get accused of being one themselves. And even after Caleb had gone to the demon realm with Evelyn, it was clear through Philip's memory that Caleb looked happy to see him and had introduced him to Evelyn, thinking that maybe his brother would see that witches aren't really bad at all. Caleb loved his brother and only wanted him to change his views like how he did....if only that was the path that was followed.
Dad Rating: 90/100
Perry Porter: I'm going on another whim and just assume that Mr. Porter is a widower. He is a single father just trying to raise Gus as best as he's able to, even though work constantly gets in the way of that. I believe that he's trying to understand his son's fascination and love for The Human Realm even if the whole thing is a little weird to him. Like Willow's dads, Perry only wants what's best for his son and even though he can be a little too strict sometimes, still loves and supports him anyway he can.
Dad Rating: 90/100
(Fanon Dads)
Raine Whispers: Raine would honestly make a wonderful parent. They are definitely on that tier that others can only dream of being on. They are kind as they are strict, but just like Harvey and Gilbert, only wants what is best for their child. But may the Titan help the poor fool who thinks that they can harm Raine's children. Because A Bard is not to be taken lightly once they find out.
Dad Rating: 100/100
Darius Deamonne: This man. Let me tell you. Any child he has better get used to standing around just waiting for Darius to pick out an outfit for them if Darius' partner gives him the chance of picking out the kid's outfits. Darius is a man of style and taste, so he's not going to allow for his own kin to walk out looking like they grew up in a barn or something! He is also very protective and isn't afraid to get mean when the time calls for it. (Just don't expect him to get his clothes dirty.)
Dad Rating: 60/100
Hunter Noceda (formally Wittebane): Hunter as a first time dad is already a recipe for disaster. He wouldn't know what to do at first and has asked Camila for help on a lot of occasions. However, the more he continues to learn the basics, the easier it is for him to be a Dad. Plus, he's had a pretty great parenting teacher to help him.
Dad Rating: 90/100
Gus Porter: Gus is definitely the one to fit into the "Fun Dad" category, though his jokes are incredibly cheesey and horrible that even Hunter and Amity just can't deal with it. Imagine Dad-Jokes but make them more cringe. And he has probably gotten them from his own dad. He also uses his illusions as a way of entertaining his children and to also be able to multi-task.
Dad Rating: A solid 90/100
Philip Wittebane: He tries. He really does. But it is safe to say that Caleb made taking care of him look a lot easier than this with his own child. He has to deal with getting his hair pulled, hands and arms bitten, and even his child screaming directly into his ear when they're having a tantrum and he's already getting grey hair from the stress. What's worse is that his child is clearly showing that they favor his brother, Evelyn, and his own partner over him which just adds salt into the wound. However, he does have his golden moments. He knows how to comfort them when they have nightmares or are being picked on by other kids. Because he's been there before. Though the parents of those kids better do something. Otherwise he will not hesitate to make their lives miserable in the way he knows how.
Dad Rating: 50/100 (for effort. Hang in there, Philip.)
Edric Blight: Upon becoming a parent, Edic had to...mellow out as it were in terms of pulling pranks with Emira, otherwise he could accidentally rub off on his kid and it would not end well. However, what he didn't expect was for his kid to be a natural prankster just like he is. So, instead he's now being both a responsible parent while also pulling pranks with his child as much as possible while also trying not to get caught by Amity and Alador otherwise they will definitely not let him hear the end of it. (Emira will also be helping him, but she's subtle about it.)
Dad Rating: 84/100
Edit: Forgot Edric's rating, and had to look back to see that Willow was almost grounded for 3 years instead of months like I had thought. Whoops.

Time Travel ft. Leia and Vader
(Helped by @atagotiak)
I was reading a bunch of different time travel fics, and my brain slotted in that one "Vader hands over the Empire to Leia and is now her most devoted sycophant" dynamic and mixed it with the "Luke and Vader time-travel and Vader does the right thing but only because it would make Luke sad if he didn't."
I landed on "Leia time travels to prequels era, but her least favorite family member has also traveled with her, though it takes him a few months to find her because he has less resources without the entire Imperial Navy, but he's still a scary Sith in all black with a breathing mask and intimidating cape."
"Tiny angry lady who wants to force democracy and her giant Sith father whom she hates but has resigned herself to pointing at threats like a tank who inexplicably loves her" is a delightful dynamic.
The first few months included a lot of concern about "why do you know so much about Sith if you're not trained or looking to be one" and then Vader shows up and calls her 'daughter' and she insults him and it's like "Oh. That explains it."
Council Member: We have a Sith in the Temple. Vader: Former Sith. Leia: Listen. He is your best chance against Sidious. Also, do you want Dooku dead? Vader can make him dead. Council Member: Your father i-- Leia, scrunching up her face: Don't call him that.
Like Leia is deep in conversation when the Temple starts panicking because Vader just. Showed up? He snuck in, somehow? So Palpatine wouldn't catch him on video entering through the front door? And people try to keep her away from the trouble, because there's an entire array of Jedi Masters to deal with this Surprise Sith, except she can sense exactly which Sith it is and once she shouts "oh you have got to be kidding me!" she just starts running and, well, it's Leia. Nobody can stop her.
(Leia does have less combat training, at least less force-assisted combat training, than the Jedi. But then the Jedi don’t want to hurt here here. She's not fighting her way down, either, she's just running really fast and all the best fighters already left. They had a head start. So Leia's mostly running past random padawans and the like.)
She shoves her way to the front of the group of Masters who. Well, they're certainly ready to attack. But Vader is just standing there. Doing nothing. Still intimidating as fuck but he's not doing anything.
And then Leia bursts onto the scene like "You motherfucker."
She hits her head on a clipboard and whines because UGH he's a walking WMD and they could REALLY use him against Palpatine but also. She hates him so much.
She tries to hand him off to the Jedi council but he insists that he will only take orders from Leia herself.
Jedi: Wait, what. Leia, completely ignoring them: Did you follow me here? Vader, through the mechanical wheezing: I have no loyalty to my master and no empire to serve. You are all that I have left. Leia: Me? Me? I'm all that you have left? You committed a genocide that killed all the family I had except for the twin brother you later mutilated! Jedi: Wait what Vader, going to one knee: I pledge my loyalty and blade to you and only you, daughter. Leia, ready to explode: I. I just. Jedi, some of whom really want to say things but are slowly realizing that they just accidentally acquired a Sith Lord by proxy: What. Leia: I hate you so much but I can't even get rid of you, you're too useful. Vader: I live to serve. Leia: Yeah. Got that. Fuck. Someone get him a full medical rundown, I don't know the last time that mess of a life support system was updated. Jedi, agitated again: WHAT Leia: Listen, I don't like him, but I'm not stupid enough to throw away the second most dangerous person in the universe when I can point him at the most dangerous person in the universe. Especially not if he's going to listen to me. Jedi: But... he's a Sith. Leia: Please trust me when I say this: you might be able to take him down eventually, but he will take dozens of you down with him, and right now he's... honestly, I'm pretty sure he's more depressed than malicious. Jedi: You hate him. I can feel it. Leia: Yes, but I can be professional about it. Vader: They have not yet d-- Leia: Nope! No talking! Not until I've had a chance to process this mess!
There is a whole lot of Leia snapping at Vader to stop it whenever he starts giving off vibes like he wants to take the most violent shortcut possible.
She is not the gentle hand that Luke would be.
Leia isn't a Jedi or working for them but she's wormed her way into being an ally. They don't 100% trust her, especially not with Vader just showing up and declaring her family but like
How do you say no to a WMD walking into your house and saying "I will fight the monster you cower from at night."
There's a lot of Leia snapping off an admonishment that sounds just a little too odd and then when questioned she just says "He knows what he did."
tbh I'm not sure how long it takes for them to tell anyone that Anakin is Vader. They might hold it off in hopes that Anakin can just retire to be Mr. Amidala after the war is over.
Well, Leia hopes. Vader just lets Leia make that call and then glowers at his younger self every time they're in the same room.
I do feel like Leia tells Obi-Wan the truth first
Imagine. Imagine a Vader who’s past still isn’t known. But has gotten somewhat comfortable around the Jedi (not really but the bar for what counts and comfortable for him is low). And Obi-Wan habitually banters with darksiders, right? If Vader’s guard is down for a moment and he, without thinking, references an inside joke...
Might be the most fun in terms of ways to tell Obi-Wan "We're time travelers and Vader is what happens if you let Palpatine drive Anakin off the edge"
If Vader has decided to pledge himself to her orders after destroying her planet, then fine. She can work with that. She's not going to be happy about it, but she can make it work.
The Jedi Temple hates having Vader anywhere nearby but he is actually very good at hiding himself from people, including Palpatine And for all that Leia seems perpetually irritated with her apparent bodyguard, he does seem to listen to her.
Jedi council: We still haven't figured out how to handle Dooku Leia: Do you know his location? Jedi council: Yes. Leia: [sigh] Leia: Vader, deal with it. Alive if possible.
(Leia does need to clarify an acceptable level of violence against the people protecting Dooku.) (She needs to clarify... many things.)
Leia always says "Vader" and one time a poor fool just asks why she doesn't call him dad and she snarls out "He is not the man that raised me, and I am glad for it."
Someone less foolish later prods more compassionately and she lets them know she was adopted and didn't properly meet Vader except in passing until she was nineteen.
"And then he tortured you." "And then he tortured me, yes." "Damn." "Didn't even find out we were related until a few years later when he chopped my brother's arm off." "You... wow." "I know."
At least one exchange that is L: You mean when you tortured me? A: He did what. V: I was not aware of our relation at that time. L: Not the point! I am fully aware of your interrogation methods and I refuse to let you be the one to acquire the evidence for-- A: Wait no go back he tortured you? L: Move on, please, we already have. A: That means I'm... oh Force, I'm going to torture my own daughter what in the actual fu-- L: We're moving on.
(“I end up torturing my own daughter” If Leia’s feeling especially spiteful I can see her saying “you mutilate your own son too”)
Concept: Leia is very free with traumatizing details of her past re:Vader and Anakin thinks that it sucks but doesn’t think much of it bc Sith. And then some time later he finds out...
(I love characters who use the traumatizing details of their past to shut down conversations.)
It's such a wonderfully horrifying concept for him to try to awkwardly comfort this girl he kind of knows because having a Sith for a dad sounds like it would suck and Leia seems nice, even if she's kind of weird and uncomfortable around Anakin, but he saw her flinch around a few other tall people wearing black robes the way she stiffens around Vader so maybe it's just that!
It is not.
Vader does get a significant amount of medical treatment. Including a bunch of "holy shit, that's a lot of drugs" and similar. There is so much lightning damage.
hnnng I'm just really in love with the image of Tiny Tiny Leia sitting behind a desk for some fancy negotiation, the picture of professionalism, while Vader just stands behind her shoulder, looming, glaring expressionless death at whoever came to speak with his baby girl.
Not that he would call her that, because she'd just hate him more and he's really not sure how to fix that problem, other than doing whatever she asks with no complaints and hoping she appreciates it.
Vader: [looks at children wandering by, has complicated emotions] Leia, tired of his shit: What now? Vader: I killed them, once. Leia, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath: And you're not going to do that again. No killing children. Vader: I know that. Leia: Great. I am... regretting asking. I am so very much regretting asking.
I do really like the idea of someone asking Leia once if she wants Jedi training and she says, no, actually, she's fully aware of the fact that she's angry little ball of hate sometimes, especially towards her bio father, and she'd like to refrain from putting herself in a position where she knows enough about the Force to Fall. She wouldn't Fall. But it does make people shut up.

Demon or Human?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Bela Dimitrescu x Demon (Fem!)Reader
Summary: A foreign invader comes into Castle Dimitrescu just as you were settling in with your new family. However, how far would you be willing to go to protect your newfound home and your newfound love?
Warning: Game spoilers (I’ll try to keep those at a minimum), Blood, Slight G0R3, uncontrollable demon rage, fluff at the end
A/N: In light of some Resident Evil Village spoilers... Let’s just say I WILL NOT HAVE IT! So, I guess this is another entry to my The Demon Amongst Vampires series! R is My Character: Hydrangea Dragonfold
--------------------------------------------------------------
1 Year..
You’ve been inhabiting Castle Dimitrescu for one year. Alcina had been able to persuade Mother Miranda to keep you in her care instead of letting you be hunted for sport. You’d probably survive it anyway, with your demon abilities.
“I have to go to a meeting,” Alcina announces to you and her daughters, “Apparently Mother Miranda has found a foreigner man-thing in our village grounds.”
“A man?!” Daniela squeals of excitement
"A new plaything?!” Cassandra asks
“You must bring him here at once mother,” Bela says
She looks at her three children, almost looking like she is tired of their pleas. However, she recomposes herself
“I will have to persuade Mother Miranda as best as I can,” Alcina says, “I appoint Hydrangea on watch. Bela is in charge.”
You leave your mouth agape, hearing your name after while of Bela calling you “micul meu demon” or everyone else calling you demon.
“But mother-” Cassandra interrupts
“Why can’t it be either one of us?” Daniela motions to her and Cassandra
“Because I’m the oldest,” Bela flaunts her ‘eldest sibling title’
“There will be no complaints my daughters,” Alcina says, “Guard the castle well Hydrangea.”
“Of course My lady,” you say out of respect
“You have permission to call me Alcina Hydrangea,” She smiles
Alcina makes her exit.
“I get the first bite on the man thing,” Daniela blurts out
“Not if I catch him first,” Cassandra interrupts
“Enough!” Both you and Bela scream
Your blue flames ignite slightly, almost setting the table on fire. However, you compose yourself. Thus, your flames ‘dieing’.
“We will wait for your mother to return,” You sigh, “Gosh you two are rowdy. No wonder why Bela is in charge.”
You ignite your flames once you stand, heading off towards the staircase. However, Bela follows you. You didn’t notice her presence until she grabs your wrist and pulls you into a room.
“Bela love what are you doing?” You ask
You try to get her to let go of you however, you stop fighting her as she doesn’t reply to you but only snakes her arms around your midsection, taking in your warmth that you were producing. Not only from your natural body heat, but your demon form as well. You were also sure that she was also listening to your racing heartbeat. The one thing you feared was giving too much heat, too much to the point where Bela and possibly everyone else you’ve come to love and care about they turn to ash because of your carelessness of your flames.
“I... Love, I have to leave,” You sigh, placing your hand on her head and the other on her waist
“No you don’t,” She counter argues
“I do my love,” You say, looking down at her, “I have to keep you three safe.”
“And you think we can’t protect ourselves?!” Bela asks
“That is not what I meant love,” You say, “It’s just... It’s just I’m not over what happened last time... If I hadn’t come when I did, you would have died... I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself for that. I’d die if anything happened to you.”
Bela’s grip on you only tightens when you finish your sad ramble. This gets you in tears. You really couldn’t imagine the rest of your life without her.
“You’d die... For me?” She asks
“Of course I would love,” You smile, swooping her into your arms
Fortunately, your blue flames weren’t ignited enough to accidentally burn her. Your foreheads touch as you give her a kiss
“This is so much better,” Bela sighs in relief
“It really is,” You smile, “Thank you Bela.”
She kisses your forehead. You lay your head against her shoulder, hoping you could just stay like that for a little bit longer.
“Bela?” You ask, breaking the silence
“What is it my love?” She asks
“If this man... If this man scurries around the castle and hurts any of you,” You start, “What if I lose control of my demon form and I no longer see the human in me?”
“Simple, I‘ll get you out,” She answers
“What if you can’t?” You ask, worried now, “What if I’m the one who ends up hurting you?”
“Can you promise me one thing then?” She asks
You nod.
“The don’t use your full demon form,” She requests, “If you’re worried about hurting us, don’t use it. Should you though, I will pull you out.”
You had wished you were able to stay like that forever. However, you knew you had to begin your task. You and Bela give each other one last kiss before departing each others’ presence and embrace. Bela goes back down to the foyer to meet her sisters once more.
“You two okay?” Daniela asks, breaking the silence
“We are fine Daniela,” Bela answers
“Then when will the both of you just shut up and get married?!” Cassandra asks, clearly teasing Bela now
“We are not-we don’t plan on that yet,” Bela says, “It’s never come up when we talk and we don’t need to yet.”
“Sure,” Daniela teases
As you were scouting the grounds of the castle, you already see Alcina returning to the castle.
“My lady!” You call out, “I’m assuming it didn’t go well?”
“Mother Miranda gave that man-thing to Heisenberg, of course I’m upset!” She groans in frustration, “I need a drink.”
You follow her back into the castle where her daughters immediately stand to greet her.
“Where’s the male foreigner?” Bela asks
“Mother Miranda gave him to Heisenberg that fool,” She groans
You all watch her walk up the stairs and disappear into the castle. You four seat back down into the couch, Bela leaning into your embrace.
“How was scouting O-great demon king?” Daniela teases
“It was fine Dani,” you chuckle, “Are you just going to continuously make nicknames for me Dani?”
She nods as she leans back into the chair. However, before any of you could converse on, you could hear footsteps. You motion for the girls to stop talking.
“You guys hear that too?” You whisper
You motion for the three of them to follow you and once you get to the grand entrance of the castle, you see a man.
“Looking for Rose?” Daniela calls out to him, taunting him
The three of them begin forming into their fly swarm and move toward him. You make the decision to tell Alcina herself that a man has entered the castle.
“My lady, there is a man in the castle,” You sigh, “Your daughters are on the case. I’m not sure who he is- oh, speak of the devil, here they are.”
You hear the doors burst open along with struggled grunts. You look over and notice Cassandra and Bela dragging him in.
“Mother, I bring you fresh prey,” She says, trying to take the credit
“Oh, you are so kind to me daughters,” Alcina smiles, her daughters letting a slight giggle out of their mouths, “Now, let’s take a look at him.”
She stands up and faces him, “Well, well, Ethan Winters. You’ve escaped my little brothers’ idiot games did you? Let’s see how special you are.”
You watch Bela, Daniela and Alcina taste his blood. You stand next to Cassandra as you watch.
“Hey-Hey you, help me out!” Ethan pleas at you
You turn to look at him for a second. You feel your human willing to help him however, you end up turning your back to him, not willing to help him. If anything, you also hated men.
“Starting to go a little stale,” Alcina says, “But, I must inform Mother Miranda. Later, there will be enough for everyone. Put him up.”
You watch again as Bela and Daniela hook his hands and Cassandra hoists him up. You hear him groan in pain as you all begin making your exit.
“Hey... Hey you!” He again calls for you, “Help me... Please...”
You stop in your tracks and look up at him. You only let out a low chuckle as Bela gently grabs your wrist and pulls you out from the room.
As you were finishing something with Cassandra you suddenly hear Bela’s grunts.
“Hey, I gotta go,” You say out of the blue
You follow Bela’s voice, rushing even further when you could hear her voice getting louder and louder.
“Bela! Bela!” You call out for her
You pass through the kitchen and notice Bela on top of Ethan. However, she doesn’t notice how he’s aiming his gun. Only you had noticed.
“Bela! The windows!” You scream, “He’s gonna shoot the windows!”
Believing that she didn’t hear you, you ignite your flames even more so than earlier. But, it’s concentrated to your palms. You begin melting the bars that had separated from you reaching Bela. However, just before the glass had gave way to the heavy damage, the bars melted enough for you to burst through. You hear Bela’s pained scream as the glass gave way to the heavy damage.
“You- stupid man-thing!” Bela screams
You only pictured how she was the last time she was out in the cold. You let out an ear-piercing roar as you forcefully push Ethan out of the way to get to Bela. Igniting your flames ever so slightly, you pick Bela up and begin warming her up with your flames and your natural body heat. You go back into the dungeons and place her down gently, hoping you had warmed her enough.
“Are you okay?!” You ask, tears welling into your eyes
“I am now love,” She smiles, caressing your cheek
“Go!” You say, “Get your sisters an get somewhere safe! He knows! I’ll come find you.”
You watch Bela disappear into the dungeons, hopefully back into the castle to warn her sisters. You go back to where Ethan had shot the window. He was hoping you’d feel pain with the cold however, when you emerged from the cold wind, you came out, unphased.
“What the HELL ARE YOU?!” Ethan asks
“The one who will kill you,” You growl, taking in the cold, “My blood’s boiling...”
Your blue flame continue to ignite more than usual and you pounce onto him, snarling in his face. He tries to use his shotgun on you and he manages to graze the side of your head. He manages to wriggle himself out of your grip and shoots at you again, this time, in the shoulder.
“Stay down kid,” He says mercilessly and runs into the direction you came
“Get back here you coward!” You scream, trying to stand
As your body began regenerating, you continuously crawled in the direction he was going in, beginning to track his scent. It was difficult as you were in the room where the wines are created. However, it didn’t stop you from continuing on the path. When you fully regenerated your shoulder, you get up nd try to track his scent as best as you could. However, when you only got back into the castle.
“Bela!” you call
You felt a hand on your wrist as you begin getting pulled into a room. A feeling of relief washes over you as you hug Bela tightly. You look over her shoulder and only see Cassandra with her.
“Where’s Daniela?” You ask, in a panicked state
“She ran off, hoping to take down the man herself,” Cassandra sighs
You hear the door burst open and it’s Alcina.
“That man will pay for what he’s done,” She growls, “My daughter are you hurt?”
“I was but- thanks to Hydrangea,” Bela sighs in relief, leaning into your shoulder to warm up some more
“Where’s Daniela?” Alcina asks
“She went to the library to take down the man mother, we tried to stop her,” Cassandra sighs
“You two stay with Hydrangea until I return with his head and Daniela,” Alcina orders before leaving again
She makes her leave. The three of you sit on the couch, Cassandra and Bela huddling against you for warmth. However, Bela practically seating herself into your lap.
“Do you have to be such a hog of the human furnace?” Cassandra looks at her older sister in annoyance
“I’m her girlfriend so buzz off,” Bela says
“She may be your girlfriend but I need some warmth too,” Cassandra growls
You could hear Daniela’s pained grunts and screaming. You stand up and place Bela down onto the couch next to her sister. You flick your finger and a small flame goes into the fire place, igniting the firewood.
“Alcina hasn’t found her yet,” You say, “I’ll go get Daniela the both of you stay here okay?”
Once you left the room you break into a run towards the library. You break through the door just as Ethan begins opening the roof to let in the cold air again.
“STOP!” You scream, grabbing onto Daniela
Sorry Bela... I have to do this... To protect all of you. You four accepted me almost instantly... I have to protect my home. I’m not letting anyone die here! The only one dying is him....
The ground around you became engulfed in blue flames, surrounding both you and Daniela
Tumblr media
[A/n: not my gif]
“I got you Dani,” You say, the last time you heard your own voice
You look at Ethan completely deranged, more than Cassandra could ever look deranged at one of her “pets”. Ethan begins to walk backward however, tripping over an object.
“Let’s talk about this kid!” Ethan pleas, “From one human to another-”
“I’m not a human!” You spat, your demon voice overtaking your real voice, “I’m a demon! I protect my home and everyone in it!”
You let go of Daniela and leave her on the floor for Alcina to check on her. You throw Ethan out of the library. Alcina takes Daniela to where her other two daughters were. You throw him down a set of stairs. Coincidentally where Bela had opened the door.
You stand at the top of the stairs, looking down at Ethan, “You’ve overstayed your welcome... Time to say goodnight.”
“No-No please I beg you please I just wanted to find my daughter!” He screams
“All of this? For a child who isn’t even here?!” You mock him, “Your little baby could even be dead for all I care!”
Ethan draws his gun and pulls the trigger as a last resort to get you to stand down. However, you slice his arm off. You could hear his screams of pain as you now stand over him.
From the other room, Bela, Daniela, Alcina and Cassandra watch as you begin devouring his flesh. You stop after two bites out of his flesh you turn to the four women. Unable to feel your human, instead feeling your demon take full control over your body, you charge at Cassandra, Daniela, Alcina, even Bela. Alcina, being the protective mother she is, stands in front of her daughters, ready to slaughter you so if you lay a finger on her daughters like this. However, Bela runs past the three.
“Bela, get back here!” Alcina yells
Before you could lay a finger on them, Bela throws her arms around you, holding onto you tightly. As you flail your arms about, Bela still held onto you
“It’s me,” Bela says, calmly, “It’s okay now... I’m right here. Come back to me...”
You finally stopped flailing, your blue flames dissipating and your demon eye slits turning back into their round pupils.
“Be..la?” You call
You gently place your hand on her head and the other around her. You sink into her touch and fall to your knees, Bela following your movements.
“It’s okay now,” She coos, “I’ve got you love. I’ve got you.”
You choke on your sobs as you hold onto Bela for dear life, sobbing into her shoulder.
“Bela did manage to get you out after all?” Alcina admires her oldest daughter, “And I thought I was going to have to kill her.”
Alcina sips her wine.
“Mother!” Bela growls
“I need to protect my prides and joys,” Alcina states
Bela was sitting in your lap as Daniela is huddled against your side and Cassandra on the floor facing you, Bela and Daniela.
“Do you really have to hog to the human furnace Bela? I’m the one who almost died,” Daniela growls
“She’s my girlfriend,” Bela draws the ‘girlfriend’ card for the millionth time
“How long do you intend on pulling that card against us Bela?” Cassandra asks
“As long as I want,” She smiles down at you
You smile back up at her, “Daniela, I also warmed you up in almost an instant with that amount of flames I emitted earlier. Did that not help?”
“Oh it did,” She smiles
“Then you don’t need to be complaining,” Bela scoffs
“By the way, I am digging the new look on you Hydrangea,” Cassandra says, smiling at you
Black horns with bright blue accents had remained from your blue flame horns or at least under them and a tail remained.
“Do you now Cass?” You smile, “I do too.”
Your tail unconsciously wraps itself around Bela’s waist. You could feel Bela’s fingertips playing with the fluff end of your tail, making your cheeks flush a faint pink.
“Awwww micul meu demon is blushing,” Bela teases
“Ssshut it,” You hiss
You weren’t sure how well you were going to do with that man-thing called Ethan Winters roaming around the castle. However, this was your home. You went to great lengths to protect it. Especially your new family and your girlfriend. Even if you would lose your human, you had Bela. You trust her enough to bring you back, should you lose sight of that human in you.

SCP Scenarios: SCP x Fem!Child!Hybrid!Reader
Main Masterlist | SCP Scenarios Masterlist | My Works Masterlist | Rules | Request | Socials | My Original Post

Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm so sorry this took longer than expected T_T
(Yes Ik it's longer than the others I do, and that's cuz I usually end up mixing the headcanons into drabbles/one-shots, but this time, I kept it as bullet points and I got carried away. Oops. And yes, it's easier to write headcanons this way but it'll end up being long af)
When Cain first met you, he overheard and was curious about this new SCP during a test, so he decided to come and watch, from afar of course.
When Cain first met you, he overheard and was curious about this new SCP during a test, so he decided to come and watch, from afar of course.
Anyways, the little test was just a plain and boring one and little (Y/N) was taken back to her containment cell after 10 minutes. Cain had requested to see you as he remembered seeing in your file that you can breathe fire and cry lava among other things due to your dragon abilities.
It's not like he didn't believe them since he's been in the foundation for many years, but he was just curious about a hybrid child like you and wanted to see if you were doing well. You being a shy child was quiet at first and when Cain went to visit you every so often, you both became close and he was a father figure to you, even though you were abandoned by your father since birth and your mother died not long later.
He took good care of you and made sure you were well fed. You were rather polite to the guards and staff so Cain wouldn't need to worry too much about you intentionally killing them. But only for a short period of time as who knows what you'll be like when you're older.
Luckily for Cain, you were also carnivorous, so he didn't have to worry about you eating your 5 a day (not that you wanted to anyways you ungrateful meat-eating child).
Whenever there's a containment breach, the first thing he does is to look for you
Aside from some side effects, he isn't worried too much as he wouldn't receive any wounds anyways so hell just charge towards anyone who looks/sound like you
He's basically your new dad ok?
SCP 076 (Abel)
Abel first came into contact with you during a containment breach
He just saw you casually flying around and occasionally lending the guards a hand by breathing fire just to burn some holes for easier access (how professional)
He saw you again moments later when you were alone and you decided to approach this hulk of a man to ask for some help, thinking he worked there. Abel had abandoned you (like your hopes and dreams left you a millennium years ago) but you insisted on going with him so he took you in
Later his rage in the facility had vanished as he had cared for you for the short period of time he had met you and handed you over to the guards, much to their surprise
He then ran away as he's not totally scared of kids or anything and hid in his box
You insisted on visiting 076-2 and so the researchers did, realising much later that you both had bonded. Abel was a parental figure to you.
A very overbearing protective guardian I must say.
Even more so when there's a containment breach
Like imagine 610 and 682 mashed up together to form an extremely hostile entity and that's Abel for you
But that's only if you were hurt, if you weren't or fit was just a normal containment breach, had be extremely worried
SCP 049 (Plague Doctor) (Guy's pls don't be mistaken, I don't have any beef with 049 ok? XD If I make any characters a little OC then 049 will gladly rid the pestilence from you without consent)
This sassy MF so-called doctor right here met you when for some reason, the doctors had decided to put you both into a testing room (no, it wasn't Bright's idea).
049 was just doing his thing as you just sat on a really high chair (cuz you do be short so ofc you wouldn't be sitting on a lower chair which is lower than your taste in men/women) and watched curiously. The doctor thought it was somewhat cute and laughed slightly from your curiosity.
Sensing that you didn't have the pestilence, he allowed you to scooch closer just to see. After the test was done, the guards took you back out with slight aggression, but you, for some reason, were still polite to the guards despite their aggression which made 049's heart swell due to your pureness.
You yawned slightly and accidentally blew out fire from your mouth which almost caused a containment breach if it weren't for 049's quick thinking
Later on, the researchers had decided to put you both in the testing room again, and you both began to bond as 049 requested you to burn the bodies he performed surgery on
Needless to say, you both had a great time and the researchers were mildly amused
If you somehow knew another friend (*ahem* 035), he'd probs ask him/her to care/loof for you if there were a containment breach
Or he would just sigh and look after you himself if you were closer to 035 and he asked so nicely
SCP 035 (Possessive Mask) (Right about 049 being sassy.... I'll take that back, 035 is the sassiest, right next to a certain sculpture in the foundation)
Anyhow, 035 was actually the reason you were stuck in the foundation anyways
God knows how, but you met this guy wearing this theatre mask and you ended up here in the foundation
Now everyone thought you were either a Keter or Euclid
I mean, you were so close to being put into the Euclid class but ended up in safe since you were so polite to the researchers as well as shy and relatively easy to contain... For now
Whenever they used you in a test, you were rewarded with whatever you wanted, within reason ofc, whenever you behaved well which was like 98% of the time minus minor accidents since you weren't entirely in control of your powers
Sometimes instead of a reward, you'd request to see 035 as he would perform to you and that was only granted when its safe to do so and when that hideous mask would do as he/she/it is told
035 would be that somewhat overprotective yet goofy uncle that everyone loved and he was totally wrapped around your fingers unless you were hurt or if he urgently needed something or someone
If there was a containment breach, he'd look for you, if not he'll call out his 'friend' to look out for you (*cough* 049 *cough*)
When 035 finds you, he'd most likely ask you to fly around to see the nearest exit or he'd just carry you when there's someone chasing you
If 035 were to kill anyone, you'd cry and tell him no to which did end up in burning the floor but oh wells, they're rich enough to contain him so why not use the extra money to rebuild the floor right?
Anyways, 035 loves you no matter what and he'd do anything to make sure you're doing well
SCP 999 (Tickle Monster)
Ok so, when you and 999 first met each other, you were kind of just wandering around the facility minding your own business
999 just casually slithered up to your leg and offered you some sweets and a hug since you looked upset and so you accepted it
You both found a place to sit and just talk bout stuff and what life was like before you were captured
But you were cheery just like 999 and rarely attacked anyone, and if you ever did, it was either that you were hella pissed or you accidentally breathed fire/teared up some lava which burnt some stuff
The researchers would secretly take in some notes bout your interactions and just continued on with their day and left you both alone, but would sometimes keep a stern eye on you
They say it's for everyone's safety, and that's true to an extent, but the main reason they do it is to monitor your progress of you controlling your powers
Anyways, sometimes when it gets busy in the cafe or down the hallway, you just fly across the room, and sometimes, you'll be extra cheeky and play hide and seek with the researchers
999 would occasionally join in but he's more like a worried older brother to you
During containment breaches, 999 would run around looking for you and when he did, he would check if you had any injuries
When you say you didn't, he was relieved but not for long since you mentioned bout making new SCP friends and he just died right there and then (not really)
SCP 682 (Hard to Destroy Reptile)
Similarly to Able, he'd be wary of you at first
Like, he can sense that you weren't just an ordinary child when you just appeared behind him
He was somewhat irritated when you followed him around, but you reminded him of 053, so he just let it slide and let you show some affection towards him
It's not like he didn't like it, he was just embarrassed
Anyhow, the researchers wanted to test how 682 would bond with you, so they made you meet up with him again but in his cell
You were both chatting like father and daughter and soon, everyone had found out that not only could you fly, you could also cry lava, which yes did burn a small hole on the ground and you could somehow breathe fire
You were also immune to the fire and lava so they decided to have a full-on body check and discovered that you were built similar to the komodo dragon with a side of 682 (XD Don't ask)
682 was left stunned, but luckily he didn't feel the need to run up the wall like that bunny
Like who tf invented a self-eating bunny?
Anyways, research shows that just like Abel, the giant lizard was very protective of you
The theory has it that you were somehow related to the lizard, perhaps he laid an egg before containment and some guy took it in and froze it then decided to hatch the egg
During containment breaches, he would basically rampage around the facility, killing anyone and everyone until he found you
And when he did, he would check on you like the amazing father he is and then carry on killing but was then stopped by you
So he would just carry you around until you fell asleep
SCP 105 (Iris)
I think Iris would be a good mother/sister figure when it comes to kids
It kinda came from the fact that Iris hangs out with Abel and Cain a lot, so it kinda just rubs off her
Her motherly/sisterly instinct just heightened when she first found you on a mission and she just took you in
It took a while to bribe the foundation that she kinda had custody
Not exactly custody, but she had a say when it came to your safety, especially the fact that you weren't exactly human and your appearance would cause a disturbance to others
I feel like Iris would be a stern yet kind guardian towards you, leaning towards the stern part since you're a child SCP and has fire breath and lava tears
Iris wouldn't be entirely bothered by you flying around, but she had to bribe the researchers and some SCPs to help you fly better
She would murder anyone who had to cry because they made you cry and cleaning up after your tears is such a mess considering that you have little control over them
Your fire breath on the other hand is slightly more controllable, but if you were hella happy or mad you'd breathe the fire and burn anyone/anything
Most of the time, its unintentional and you're usually sweet and kind towards anyone, so manners aren't a big thing for Iris to teach you
She'd even teach you some of the stuff she learnt/discovered and you'd just sit there being nosy and curious about everything
Like that one time, you almost caused a breach cus you were so curious and friendly that 682 was about to snap off your head and rampage out of the foundation
And don't even get me started with the brothers and 096, OML
Other than that, you both were like a family you never had :,) (You're welcome!!!)
During containment breaches, Iris would literally pick you up and run
Unless you weren't with her for whatever reason (Yes, you're attached to each other's hips... Don't lie, you love it!), she'd do anything to find you
If you were hurt, shed tend to your injuries immediately and lecture you about safety
If you weren't hurt, shed still give you a lecture, then pick you up and run
If you made friends on the way, she may or may not approve and bite of anyone head
And the foundation wouldn't want an Angry!Iris around
SCP 106 (Old Man)
This old man here is basically the definition of a cool uncle/granddad
Without a doubt, he'd go into his pocket dimension and comes back with a teddy bear or some sweets
He'd spoil you a lot and the foundation had enough of this cuz by the time you become an adult, you wouldn't be independent enough
Anyways, 106 would let you go into his dimension and practice your abilities there for the safety of others
The researchers would occasionally ask you to carry a camera with you just so they know what it's like in his pocket dimension
106 rarely gets mad, and even if he was, it'll be about someone trying to hurt you since you're too kind and shy to make him mad
You're even kind to the researchers and guards which is worrying to 106 as they might take advantage of your kindness (which may be true for some, but most of them are just glad you're kind since it makes their jobs so much easier)
Sometimes, you'd make things levitate which was a shock to anyone who walked by and witnessed this
But only for a few seconds though, so it's not much
106 would encourage you to use your telekineses and he'd attempt to train you
Which didn't work so well, so that sucks
During containment breaches, he'd use his pocket dimension to his advantage
He'd hide you in there just so you don't have to get hurt
If you weren't there with him, he'd kill and hunt down anyone who might know where you are
He'd make sure you weren't hurt otherwise he would go into scary uncle mode
If you weren't hurt, he would just hug you which stops you from crying lava
SCP 096 (Shy Guy)
Now what makes you and 096 a unique pairing is that you're both shy
The only difference is that you can speak but 096 kinda doesn't
But that's not a problem since you both just understood each other since day 1
I'd say 096 is that introverted uncle/cousin but he's kinda chill and sweet with you
As for containment breaches, the only difference with this tall guy is that not only will he kill anyone who sees his face, he'd also hunt down anyone who'd hurt you
096 has a newfound ability for this and the researchers were shocked when they first found out
A certain chainsaw loving doctor wanted to test it out himself but was stopped rather quickly by the other researchers
Anyways, one time you almost burnt down the foundation because 096 crept up behind you which scared you to tears
And you screamed as well which didn't help at all since you could breathe fire
Also, when you're not with 096, you'd use your levitating powers to grab lighter objects which did result in the objects falling onto your head
And this is why you need to train more, so then objects wouldn't be yeeted onto your tiny head and knock the nonexistent brain cells out of your nonexistent brain - Sorry not sorry (Ok so at least pretend to laugh)
If anyone bullied you and you didn't say a word, 096 would know and even if you tried to stop him, it wouldn't work
Unless you're in a life-threatening situation, but even then, he'd kill the guy
Dr. Simon Glass
Unlike the others on the list, you're the one who approached the doctor
Mainly because you were lost, but you were curious as well
Simon would probably be the best person to run into, other than Kondraki, but still
It's because he's a psychologist and still very much human (I mean, Kondraki's a normal human I guess, but he has those butterfly thingys)
Anyways, when he first saw you, you were in his office flying about and crying lava
Simon saw you and was shocked but attempted to calm you down and get you you sit with him for a bit, then call the others
But boy did that not work out, because this poor innocent boi was boutta get killed by your firey breath cuz he startled you too much
Bright, Kondraki and Clef just strolled in and saw the mess and even attempted to get you to chill, but this didn't work either
So poor Simon Glass had to find his way to get you to stop being so scared which obviously worked
You sat down with him and he let you doodle on a blank piece of paper
And being a good psychologist he is, he used psychological methods to get you to feel comfortable and to start talking to which you did
You were so polite he gave it to a chocolate bar, but instead of taking it off his hands, you used your telekineses to levitate it in your direction
Simon recorded what he had seen before letting the other researchers take you and offered to take you under his wing on the condition that you were you have a check-up every now and again
That wasn't much of a problem since you were so polite and chill - Usually
During containment breaches, he would make sure that you were safe first and it wasn't so difficult to deal with you since you were with him most of the time
When you're not with him, he'd be extremely worried like a mother hen and run in any direction that would take him to you
He'd be relieved to see you and if you were hurt, he'd bandage you up and try to not cry
If you've made new friends, he would be very happy about it - Unless it's a Keter or Euclid class
They'll be on his watchlist
Anyhow, Simon Glass is basically your mother and mentor
He'd teach you all the basics you'll need and help train you if he can (he'd most likely have to ask the other doctors and SCPs with some bribery)
Dr. Jack Bright
Our favourite doctor here would be that goofy uncle/dad
I feel that he'd sympathise with you since he's also an SCP (sorta) and he feels kind of trapped in the foundation
If you're lucky enough, Jack might be able to take you out for an hour for some fresh air
You'll automatically be under his wing and nobody will ever question it. Ever.
Although he may be goofy and does stupid things, he would be surprisingly protective and his fatherly instincts kick in right away since he first met you
He would allow you to use your powers to an extent and teach you how to use your power properly
You are well aware of his anomalous abilities with his neckless, so whenever Bright had to change bodies, you'd automatically know where he is (other than the obvious neckless thingy)
If there were to have a containment breach, Bright would panic but quickly become calm as that's the only way he could find you and keep you safe
When he finds you he would give you that lecture while finding any scratches on you
If you were to grow, he would give most guys the dad glare of the century and all those guys would run tf away cuz nobody messes with Bright's newfound daughter
I have high doubts that he would let anyone do tests with you when he's not there and even if he was, they would need his approval, so most of the time, you don't even need to worry much
Dr. Alto Clef
(OML Why do I keep adding new characters?! There's so much to write T_T)
Right, so when Clef found you, it was like as if his long lost (well... not so lost) memory came back to him
For some reason, you reminded him of 166 (OML I'm so lost for this SCP, like boi she had a rewrite)
So he took you in the foundation like he did with his daughter and took care of you Since he works for the foundation, he's not remotely terrified or anything, but he's curious about your abilities
And of course, you managed to use some of your abilities because of some SCPs and Bright Clef took you to meet 166 and you both showed your abilities and since 166 is older than you, she's probably trying to help you control your powers more
Which, of course, makes Clef a proud dad
If there were any containment breaches, he'd panicked but once he found you with his other daughter, he was relieved
166 made sure that you weren't hurt and if you were, you'd be bandaged up so Clef doesn't have to worry too much
Anyhow, if Clef decides to introduce you to the tiger doctors, he'd make sure Glass is the first since he's the most sensible person (but let's face it, he wouldn't admit it)
Then it'll be Iceberg, Coggs (that's his name right), Light and a couple others Bright and Kondraki would be last since they would be somewhat chaotic (mainly Bright) even though they're the fun uncle
Whenever Clef has a mission, he'd shove you to either 166 or Glass, if he's free, if not then it'll most likely be Light (and if she's also busy, then yall screwed)
And bless the guy who takes an interest in you when you become a teen cuz our messy boi would make sure that guy would suffer
Dr. Benjamin Kondraki
Ok let's face it, Kondraki would definitely be the mother hen of the dad world in the SCP Foundation
He's literally your mother, kinda like Glass but kinda not, ya know what I'm saying?
Like he'll feed your curiosity since many people around you wouldn't and you're an SCP so you're trapped in the foundation anyways
I'd say he's quite cautious and caring, obviously, but if he's out and about, he'd definitely let you go with him
Unless he's going out for a mission, then that's a definite no-no
He would let you hang out with the safer SCPs like 999 and maybe 166 if Clef is chill, but he has to let you hang out with her cuz she's the only other SCP who could help you get a grasp with your powers
Like how to not burn the bloody floor when you cry and stop breathing fire inconsistently by accident
An attempt was made when they try to train your telekineses but they'll have to wait till you're older
Since most of the time you're stuck with Kondraki, I don't think he'd be all too worried bout breaches, of course, he'd be worried about your safety, but you're there with him
If not then god knows what Kondraki would do
Like that one time, he begged Clef and Bright to look for you in which they did but then they made him do something for them in return
Let's just say, it wasn't pleasant at all, but it could be worse since Clef had a shred of sympathy left for the man and Bright just wanted chainsaws

okay but imagine being wolfram. your mom's the queen, which makes you a prince, but you're also the heir to your family's estate on your father's side. your whole life you've been praised for your looks and everyone expects you to act just like your mother, who looks exactly like you and has a new man every week, but you just don't care. why go to all that effort? there are more important things to focus your energy towards like being racist and lighting things on fire. you figure at some point you'll end up married to some noblewoman and start a traditional family, but you're only 82, you've got time.
then some rando who is not only not from one of the noble families but isn't even from this dimension shows up and is declared king. you're an ex-prince now, which, whatever, but now you're supposed to serve this random kid??? who is fifteen??? and you try to argue against this, and you let your anger get out of hand even more so than you usually do, and somehow it ends with him accidentally proposing and you accidentally accepting?? and sure he's cute but he doesn't have much else going for him and this wasn't exactly how you saw your life going. so now you're stuck in this relationship that neither of you asked for, and you try to kill him in a duel to get out of it but it turns out he's secretly slightly competent so that doesn't work, and you accept that the situation is hopeless and all you can do is push him to be the best king he can be so you won't have to be ashamed to call him your fiance.
and then. oh no. then you catch feelings.
you catch feelings and he's either clueless or lying because you see the way he looks at you, but whenever you try to address the obvious chemistry between you two he cries "but we're both guys!" and seriously, what do they teach their kids on earth that this guy doesn't know that same-sex attraction is a thing?
and so you, after 82 years of being plagued with unwanted attention from people of all genders, have finally found someone you wholeheartedly want in every sense of the word...and he also happens to be the first homophobe you've ever met. what a curse. what an absolute Saw trap of a relationship. I think I would just go home. pack it up and go back to castle bielefeld and pretend your whole life wasn't just turned upside down by some himbo jock with a nice smile who keeps asking you to bathe together (but, like, platonically!) and keeps flirting with your brothers, for shinou's sake, I mean you're not exactly a Good Person but surely you don't deserve THIS! but you don't go home, you double down and dedicate your life to protecting this idiot. because you love him, but more than that, you actually start to believe in him. to believe that things can change, that humans don't have to be your enemy, that people can change. that your disgraced cousin can slowly redeem himself, that a 10 year old assassin could become a beloved daughter, that you, even you, can soften and learn to forgive and acknowledge your mistakes. and before you know it you've accidentally become a good person. and all you wanted was some dick.

Imagine: Dracula’s daughter
Tumblr media
She had always been a daddy’s girl, that was certain. Since she was an infant she was attached to him by the hip, always followed him around the castle, always found him fascinating. Of course she loved her mother and Alucard as well. Days her father was busy she’d stay in her mother’s laboratory, watching Lisa mix medicines and asking questions.
“What is this?” she’d ask, barely able to look over the table. Her mother would only laugh and pick her up, sitting her down on the smooth slab of her work space.
“This is a new medicine I’m working on. It will help sick people become strong and healthy, just like you!” Lisa would poke her daughter’s tummy and the little dhampir girl would squirm in a fit of giggles. She loved her mother, she looked up to her.
Her and her brother always found things to do around the castle, painting and writing poetry, playing tag or hide and seek, which Alucard always won for some odd reason.
“You cheated!” she whined, crossing her arms.
“I did not!” Alucard stuck his tongue out at his sister. “I’m just older and faster than you!”
“By a minute! You are older by a minute!”
And at the end of the day, the young dhampir would always find herself in her father’s study, reading a book beside him or begging him to read to her. She’d always end up falling asleep in his lap and he’d carry her to bed, tucking her in and kissing her goodnight. He loved her, he loved his little girl with all his undead heart. Of course there was Lisa, the love of his life, and he did love his children equally, but she always had a special place in his heart.
As the years went on, the girl blossomed into a beautiful young woman. She had long, onyx locks like her father and a sharp tongue like her mother. She was snarky and always had something to say, but she was kind and she was loving, and she had such a big heart full of passion and wonder. She wanted to help others just like her mother, often visited houses of the ones who Lisa was close to and aided her mother if she needed it. Alucard and her loved to duel one another, and she made sure she always won. They picked on each other and instigated but it was all out of great fun. The princess took long walks with her father at night and he told her about his new discoveries between vampires and humans, and her being her, was always fascinated and wanted to know more.
Like Alucard and her mother, she had the privilege of stepping out into sunlight without a problem. She grew her fangs in before her brother when she was a small infant, which to this day she enjoys hanging over his head. She was tall and strong, and very fast, as well as very skilled with a sword. She had long nails she could extend and retract and could turn into animals, making it easier to stalk her prey at night.
Everything was....perfect, you might say. Her life was perfect, sure she lacked friends but she had a wonderful home and a loving family that she could depend on.
That all changed after that horrific night in 1475. When Lisa Tepes was killed everything crumbled to dust. The love in the castle had disappeared, it was so cold and dark and stunk of misery.
She grew strained from her father once Alucard had left home. She didn’t want him to go and he didn’t want to leave her, but they both knew it was for the best.
In a year, it was almost like two complete strangers shared a home. Dracula made no effort to connect with his daughter as he was so caught up with damning the whole world to hell, and in that time his daughter pushed him away. She barely spoke with him, didn’t even attempt to at this point. He was so angry, so angry with the world and with everyone in it. Lisa wouldn’t have wanted this, her children knew that. Their mother was a part of the human race, mortality ran through the children’s blood. They were a part of them, and their father wanted to burn them all.
She grew angrier and angrier with her father as the dreadful days passed on. He let these other vampires into their home and they did whatever they wanted! And what did he do, wallow away into nothing in his library, sitting in front of the fireplace every single day! Pathetic! Absolutely pathetic!
One day, she had enough. Dracula’s daughter couldn’t stand a single day more in that castle, enraged with her father she planned to leave. She considered leaving without telling him, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. So, with a satchel over her shoulder holding her most valuable things, she walked into her father’s library. The back of his chair was to her, and yes, he stared into his fireplace like he always had.
“I’m leaving.” she spoke up, gripping the strap of her bag. Nothing, he didn’t say a word, he didn’t even move a muscle in his seat. His daughter only sighed, a tear rolling down her cheek as she turned away. “Goodbye, father.”
Part of her never wanted to see him ever again. Part of her wanted nothing more to do with her father, but she knew deep down their paths would cross again, and she’d end up in that castle once more.
She was alone, really alone this time, she had no one to turn to, she kept her distance from strangers and if they gave her trouble she’d risk the danger and bear her fangs, making them all run away in fear. The one night, one fateful night, she had run into her brother and two others who accompanied him. She was running through the woods as night creatures attacked, she’d slaughtered as many as she could, but they were closing in on her. In that moment she felt powerless till three beings came out of the thick woods and ended the monsters’ rampage.
“Alucard?” she whispered, leaning herself against a tree, holding her side which bled a concerningly amount.
He gasped, his eyes widened with shock as he looked at his dear sister. “Sister?”
“You have a sister?” The strange woman spoke up in her thick accent.
“Oh god, not another one of you....” A tall dark haired man grumbled, slapping his hand over his face.
Alucard’s sister ran over to him and threw her arms around him as hard as she could. She couldn’t believe it. She had so many questions. How was he here? Why wasn’t he underground like he said he’d be? Who were these people?
Overtime, these questions were answered. The woman was a speaker, her name was Sypha, and that other oaf of a man was a Belmont, Trevor Belmont, a vampire’s sworn enemy. She thought they died off years ago, but never mind that. Her brother had woken from his year of slumber when the two of them accidentally found him (more so Trevor than Sypha) and asked if he’d help them in their quest.
“We’re going to the castle...” Alucard spoke softly. His sister sat across from him, staring quietly into the fire they had made. She wasn’t stupid, she could put the puzzle pieces together. They were going there to end Dracula’s terror for once and for all. Her heart broke, just like it had before. She had to come to terms with killing their father, it was such a painful thing to imagine but...if that meant millions and millions of people would survive, then so be it.
“It just hurts, ya’know? I mean, how could anyone go through with the idea of murdering their father?”
“He’s not our father, not anymore at least.”
Alucard was right, she hated to admit it. That monster conducting all of this genocide wasn’t their father. Their father was loving and caring, and this man....wasn’t any of that. The king of darkness was blinded by a rage and there was no looking back. Their father died when Lisa Tepes took her last breath.
One by one, she slit the throats of dozens. Striking her sword through vampire soldiers, beheading the generals who held councils in her very home, the ones who practically took her home away from her. Was it truly still her home, she couldn’t tell, all she knew it as now was Vlad Dracula’s hideout, nothing more. She would get her revenge on every last one of them, her fists driving through their chests and yanking out their still beating hearts, crushing them in her palms. How dare they mock her home as if it were their own little sanctuary. How dare they.
“Alucard--you, Belmont and Sypha fight off those night creatures! I’m going to find our father!” She yelled as she climbed the steps.
Alucard impaled a night creature “Be careful! He’ll hurt you!”
But she was already down the hall and up the steps to her father’s library. Millions of thoughts ran through her mind. The guilt of it all, having to go through an act that would be considered unspeakable under God’s law. Half vampire or not, she knew she’d be damned to hell in the end.
She took in a few breaths before peeking in. Her father, to her surprise, was not slumped in his chair but standing, he grabbed one of his forgemasters, Isaac, and threw him through his mirror. Isaac let out a scream and the mirror broke into pieces, falling on the ground.
“Father.” She spoke, walking into the room. Dracula tensed up, turning his body towards the door, bearing his fangs.
“My child, the betrayer.”
Her chest tightened, eyes wide. Betrayer? He thinks she betrayed him?
“I did no such thing.”
“Lies!” He snapped, his eyes blood red. “You walked out of this castle and turned your back on your own father!”
“Well you had already turned your back on me!” She screamed at him. “You didn’t try to make me stay! You didn’t even attempt to!”
“I knew what side you were on from the beginning. You were a lost cause.” Dracula’s voice was cold and harsh.
Tears sprouted at the corner of her eyes. “How could you even say that?! You act like you were the only one who lost someone!”
Dracula turned away from his daughter, seething with anger.
“You weren’t there! You were never there! All you’ve done was cause havoc!”
“I did it all for her!” Dracula roared, whipping around and towering his large body over hers.
“And look where that got you!” She bellowed back at him, eyes now blood red as tears streamed down her face. “Look where that got you. You pushed Alucard away, you pushed me away. Mother would never--” Her body was thrown across the room and she hit the bookshelf, falling to the ground. She wheezed out, coughing out blood. He struck her. He...struck her. Her vision was foggy, but she could make out her father standing on the other side of the room. She tried to stand up but she couldn’t, her body didn’t let her. Again she tried, but she couldn’t do it. She hadn’t had blood in such a long time, she’s grown too weak. Why she didn’t consider that going into this mess she doesn’t know, but it was a stupid mistake. Suddenly her world went dark, and she laid unconscious on the ground.
It wasn’t too long till she had woken up from her spot, her father no longer in the library. She could hear screaming from above her. She gasped, getting up as quick as she could and stumbling over herself. Alucard.
She ran and ran, going up another floor, and then another. The dhampir suddenly collided with Sypha and Belmont.
“You’re alright!” Sypha exclaimed.
“Where is he!? Where is Alucard?!”
“Upstairs, with Dracula!”
Her vampire senses tingled. His room. They were in Alucard’s old room. She bolted up the floors and down the hall. They were screaming, things were being shattered, she could feel the whole castle shake beneath her feet.
Alucard was thrown against the wall, their father closing in on him, ready to finish the job.
“ENOUGH!” His sister shrieked at the top of her lungs, stepping in between them.  Her father stopped in his tracks.
There she stood, sword in both hands, pointing the tip against her own chest.
“What--What are you doing?!” Dracula bellowed.
Alucard shook his head, fear in his eyes. “No, don’t do it!”
“I’d rather kill myself than live in this world with you, you monster!”
With that, somehow Dracula had come to his senses. The night filled the room, the moonlight shining in through the window. Dracula gasped, his eyes no longer flaming with hatred, but filled with sadness. His daughter kept the sword where it was and she began to cry, hard, endless tears rushing down her pale face.
“Look what you’ve done father...” She sobbed, hands trembling.
Dracula stared at her, then at her brother, then finally his hands. “What am I doing? I....” he choked on his words. “My children, my son and daughter. I’m killing them Lisa. I’m killing our children.” He walked over to a painting that hung on the wall. It was of all of them; Dracula and Lisa, both holding their bundles of joy. He looked at his children again and truly realized how much hurt he’s caused them. How much pain he’s caused his daughter. She mourned in their home, alone, while he selfishly sought out revenge. “My daughter would rather end her life than live in a world with her father.” he looked at her, tears now running from his eyes, “These are the walls we raised them in, loved them unconditionally. These are the walls we painted, the toys we made for our son. I’m so sorry....I....what have I done?” Dracula walked over to her and took the sword out of her hands, pointing it’s sharp tip against his own chest and placing it back in her hands.
“Your greatest gifts to me, and I’m killing them.”
Alucard got up and stood next to his sister, placing his hands around hers. He wouldn’t let her do this alone.
“I must already be dead...”
Her heart pounded in her chest so hard she thought she was going to throw up. “I love you....” the girl managed to get out in a strangled cry, looking her father in the eyes. She could see it in his pleading eyes, silently begging them to put an end to his misery, to theirs and the world’s. In those quiet moments, he hoped she knew how much he truly loved her. How special she really was.
She shut her eyes tightly for a second as her and her brother drew her sword into her father’s chest. He groaned in pain, blood spilling out of his mouth as more coppery tears spilled out of his eyes.
She would forever be his little girl.
WOOOOH that was a long one! I told ya’ll I’d write some sad shit. Ok I’m gonna go cry myself to sleep now, like, comment and reblog!🥳🥳

[19.06] mafia!hongjoong × reader
⇀ you were interested in hongjoong, a notorious leader of a very successful mafia organization. sadly he didn't see you that way. if only he knew the true you before making a rash judgement
⇁ tw : mafia life, angst, mentions of black market activities, death, violence, dark stuff. read at your own risk.
⇁ disclaimer : the author does not support any and all criminal/illegal acts. the narrative written in this story is purely fiction out of the author’s imagination. the things written here does not portray real mafia life nor is the author aware of how the mafia life is like. the author is a hermit loser.
The door to Hongjoong's office opened and in walked his right hand, with a teasing smirk on his face. Hongjoong looked up from the paperwork on his desk and looked up to the man with a raised eyebrow, "what are you smirking at?" he questioned.
Seonghwa nodded his head towards the door, "there's someone here for you," he said whilst holding onto his laughter. Hongjoong shifted his gaze from his friend to the door and then back to him again, "who?" "your girlfriend," Seonghwa teased.
Before Hongjoong could throw anything at him, though, Seonghwa had run off, laughing heartily.
Not long after, you came into his office with a wide smile. As per usual, you were dressed to impress, head to toe with a black and white vintage channel mini skirt and blazer, adorned with a channel necklace and earrings. As you walked in, Wooyoung, one of Hongjoong's trusted men, looked at your passing figure with mouth hanging low and a starstruck look on his face. But you didn't care, you only had eyes for Hongjoong.
It has been roughly five months since you started dropping into Hongjoong's office. Your dad, an equally highly successful head of the mafia from where you're from, wanted you to get married to expand his business and make more allies. He gave you several options but you were immediately intrigued by Hongjoong, one of the mafia heads he made a partnership with by providing him with weapons. The comprehensive file your dad gave you did Hongjoong no justice so you decided to get to know him for real.
Unluckily, Hongjoong is very secretive and protective of himself and his family (re: his brothers; his most trusted men in the mafia). He had been betrayed so many times before and his thirst for revenge both became his strength and downfall. While he managed to build a highly acclaimed mafia organization at such a young age, he closed off everyone who he deemed not worthy of his attention even after only seeing them for less than five minutes.
Sadly, that included you. You weren't the only one who got a comprehensive file on the other, he too had one of you. A straight-A student from Wharton with hobbies consisting of horseback riding and charity? He wondered whether you were preparing to take over your dad's mafia or to steal the Crown of England and be its ruler.
Hongjoong tried his best to hold in a groan of annoyance but even so, some still escaped him and you heard it. Though you were used to it so you just ignored him.
"Hi, Joong," you grinned widely at him, walking in and putting a medium-sized box of cake on his desk after closing his door. "Don't call me Joong," he grumbled.
In all honesty, your bubblegum personality sickened him. He knows for a fact that no one is that happy-go-lucky and excited and has rainbows shooting out of their asses 24/7. So there has to be something you were hiding from him.
You only chuckled at his response, "You're a sourpuss, you know that? You're gonna have wrinkles before you hit thirty if you keep frowning all the time like that," you said as you focused yourself on opening the cake box.
Inside it was the cake you made for him. All the times you visited him, you never made him something from scratch. You were trained to be the head of a mafia organization one day, not in the kitchen. So that cake was the very first thing you made and you were beyond proud of yourself.
"Look," Hongjoong exhaled sharply, starting to get annoyed even before you did anything, "You came at a bad time, I need to get a hundred thousand things done before tonight, in case you didn't realize, my organization is-" "in the brink of war with Stray Kids, I know, I've read the reports," you simply said, hands moving to cut the cake in front of you to hand to him.
"I have connections with the leader's soft spot, the foreigner one, I can make a deal that would help your case if you would jus-"
"NO!!!!" he yelled out, slamming his hands onto his desk, startling you so much that you accidentally dropped your knife and stepped back a little.
Maybe it was the stress of having to deal with things alone, or maybe it's just him finally snapping from overthinking about you, but one thing's for sure is that he had had enough. He needed to put you in your place.
"You may be your daddy's little princess back home, all dressed in white and pink and lace, showered with Channels, Tiffanys and your hoity-toity prestigious Wharton degree. But here, you're nothing, got me? You understood nothing about having to work your ass off to get the recognition and rewards you deserve, you had your daddy behind you this whole time and that's very convenient for you. But don't come here and act like you know shit, okay? Our worlds are different, you came from a cotton candy palace, I came from the ditch, your opinion means less than shit to me," he spat out so quickly, he didn't realize that your expression changed to something that he had never seen before.
Your eyes were blank and glazed, lips slightly quivering and chest heaving.
Hongjoong thought that he had really put you in your place and he was about to celebrate the fact that he might finally drove you away when you opened your mouth.
"Cotton candy palace? Not understanding having to work my ass off?" you choked out.
At first, Hongjoong thought you were gonna cry. But a sadistic, maniacal laugh resonated in the room from where you were doubled over, holding onto your stomach.
It was Hongjoong's turn to be stunned into silence.
"Oh my god, I thought you were smarter than that," you muttered as you calmed down, wiping tears from the corner of your eyes, "you think that this is who I am?" you asked with a raised eyebrow at him.
Hongjoong was confused about whether or not he should speak. It was the first time anyone had ever stunned Hongjoong and Hongjoong didn't know what to do.
"I was born from a girl who was en route to be sold in a human trafficking ring, I came out premature and was about to be sold to a satanic cult as their sacrifice but my 'dad' 'rescued' me. I was stored in a facility with thirty other children, we were trained to be assassins since before we could walk, brainwashed with ideals that ruined our brains. One by one, each year some of us were taken out if we show a lack of improvement or no promise," as you talked, you took off your earrings and necklace and put them on Hongjoong's desk.
While you ran a hand through your messy hair, you stared into him deeply, "I was seven when I first killed someone, my last competition. She was two years older than me and she was sold by her parents for coke money, or as the warden told us. We were reminded every day of how worthless we are so we wouldn't rebel and escape. But even in despair, I wanted something more. That's where daddy came in. He was impressed with me and he took me in as his daughter, telling people one of his whores were pregnant with me to assure my legitimacy. I was schooled in my own private red room. I had to fight for my right as a human being, I made deals with my dad to be able to go out with bodyguard escorts for only an hour every month,"
Hongjoong's eyes followed your hands that gripped onto the edge of your skirt, "did your little binder wrote that I went on my first official mission when I was just twelve? My dad cut the ballet lesson that I trade in for 120 hours of combat training short to gear me up, put me in a room of adult men and sent me off to plant an active bomb in 5 minutes in an air vent of the headquarters of his rival, crazy, right?" you chuckled humorlessly whilst ripping your skirt off to reveal your black shorts inside, a knife and a gun holstered on your thighs were revealed, making Hongjoond's eyes widened.
He never would have imagined someone like you to carry weapons under your very girly outfit. Or to even have such a traumatizing backstory.
"My whole appearance is compensation for my very dark upbringing, I wanted to hide it all. My dad told me I was stupid, that I belonged in the dark, dark world. But when I went to Wharton, I tried to change myself. I thought that I might be able to be the person I wanna be by marrying someone my dad approved so I don't have to take over wholly, I could just be the voice by the side, lending my skills and help the organization indirectly,"
You looked down at your heels clad feet for a second, letting your toes point and moving them from left to right to see what it looks like.
At this point, Hongjoong felt bad for having blown up at you. You had only wanted to spend time with him and even if he didn't want to see you, he could've said it nicely. Hongjoong never felt like this before, it was very weird for him.
He was about to walk over to you when you suddenly took your heels off in a flash and threw them both at Hongjoong so hard that it embedded deep into the wall on either side of his face.
Your usual smile was replaced with a frown, the eyes that usually twinkled showed nothing but darkness. He barely recognized you and he was on edge about it.
"You made your standing with me perfectly clear, Kim Hongjoong, while my dad is one to stop things before they become an issue, I like to see how things unravel," you smirked at him.
"What do you mean by that?" he asked, not being able to process anything.
"It means that your partnership with my dad is off, good luck finding a new weapons supplier," you spat out before turning around to leave the room, leaving traces of yourself behind at his office.
Hongjoong wanted to call after you, try to make things better somehow. But his head still couldn't even wrap around the shocking information you had just revealed.
Not long after you left, Yeosang came in but stopped at the door, scanning the room that was littered with remnants of you. "What the fuck happened here? Did a hooker tried to kill you!?" he asked, still confused at the situation.
When Yeosang looked up, he saw Hongjoong in a way he had never seen him before.
Nervous.
"I-I- I think I just forged a war between us and the largest mafia weapons manufacturer on the eastern hemisphere," he uttered out.

Could I get the Bucci gang and Diavolo with a ghost sibling? (like the one you did with Dio and the Crusaders) I really appreciate your writing and you've inspired me to try to write my own reader stories sometime!
Ghost Sibling HCs: Bucci Gang Edition! (+ Diavolo)
Oh my god that's so nice of you to say!! I think it's so cool that I actually inspired someone!! Ily so much anon!! <3 My only impression of Diavolo just has been his fight w Bruno, so I just wiki'd everything for him. So I apologise if he's not entirely in character!! Also, I genuinely had nothing for Abbacchio so he's not in this one. I really hope you don't mind
Warnings!: Goes into how reader died, Spoilers for Part 5, and Mentions of abuse from Giorno's part! Please stay safe !
Bruno Bucciarati
You were an older sibling of Bruno and you also stuck around with your father when the divorce came along
You commonly worked along with your father and ended up getting murdered when the gangsters infiltrated the boat
While your father was able to survive, you died at the scene. Your soul set to haunt the surrounding dock
Although it was tricky trying to see you due to the lingering fear of potential gangsters, Bruno always managed to find a way to visit you
It was hard for the younger Bucciarati, he cared about you as much as he did his father
Almost every visit was paired with a somber undertone, no matter how normal you tried to make it
But you were proud of Bruno and the man he's become today and you two still keep in touch
I do believe that as he gets older, he'd look at this place with a bit more fondness. Replacing the tragic memory of you and your father with all the times you tried to be there for him
When he became Capo, Bruno made certain to keep tabs on the small fishing village, making sure your resting place is in pristine condition
He's well aware that you might not get to pass on and he just wants to do what can to get you the best
Giorno Giovanna
You were Giorno's older step-sibling, having there be a 5-8 year age difference between the two of you
You were well aware of your father's abuse and did what you could to protect your little brother
Of course, your father didn't take too kindly to your behavior and it only made your punishments worse
One night, your father took out most of his anger onto you and it ended up killing you
Your soul latched onto Giorno, wanting to keep on protecting him even in death
You were there for him through everything and you were happy that he was able to find better family through the gang
And even in the gang, you were able to find your own peace in a way
(mostly) everyone welcomed you with open arms and it was a nice change of pace from talking to only Giorno for the past 10 or so years
Pannacotta Fugo
You were an older sibling, praised by your parents and used as an example for Fugo to follow
He never really resented you because of it though. You were helpful when he had the toughest lessons and treated him with the care that your parents never gave
I can imagine Fugo accidentally killing you during one of his rages, you got too close and he lashed out at you
As if he wasn't freaked out and panicked over your murder, seeing your ghost wasn't any better
He ignored any note of your presence, leaving it up to some hallucination rather than a ghost of all things
It took him a while to actually accept the fact that you're still with him and it was really awkward for a while
It made his guilt about the situation worse tbh, like it's been too long that he can't really apologize for what he did to you
And I don't imagine you being too happy either. Spending your eternity with your murderer and have him deny your existence for a couple of months does hurt
It's just one of those cases where your relationship couldn't be repaired after death, leaving you both to spend each other's company with an awkward weight on each other's shoulders
Both of you were never well taught in emotions so trying to cope with something as strange as this is not likely.
Narancia Ghirga
You were Narancia's twin sibling
you were just as loyal as him so you didn't bat an eye when he proposed that you both take Polpo's test
It's not like he would do it without you anyways, you two were a package deal
What he didn't take in account was you not surviving the stand arrow
It really did break Narancia seeing you dead and then seeing your ghost, looking like nothing happened
I feel like you haunting him furthers his denial of your actual death. That it doesn't actually matter since you're still next to him and able to laugh like nothing happened
It would be a combination of you and Bucciarati to help him with his grief, but he was still joyful to have you around
Even though you couldn't interact much with the physical world, he still invited you to his math lessons with Fugo and treated you as a valid member of the gang
Guido Mista
You were Mista's younger sibling that haunted his apartment
He'll admit that it was a bit freaky dealing with you at first, but he managed to adapt to it pretty quickly
He was able to live his usual carefree lifestyle, the added money from being apart of Passione was used for making the house a bit more comfortable
He felt bad that you couldn't leave and tried to make it more bearable
Plus he did it as an apology for all the times you cleaned up the pigsty that is his room
He also enjoyed that you were also free home security
He's made a couple of enemies in his time and having someone who can't be injured through typical means was helpful
He always enjoyed the occasional stories you told of the intruder's terrified faces at the fact that their guns and knives had no effect on you
But even if you were already dead, he'd ask for the faces of the idiots who disrespected and tried to kill to you.
Just because you're dead doesn't change the fact that you were still his family and he needed to teach those losers a lesson when you can't do it yourself.
Diavolo
Oh my god I'm so sorry for you
Listen, this man was not above attempted murder of his own daughter to hide his identity. You would've been one of his first targets
When he'd see that you never actually died, he would use whatever he had in his arsenal to get rid of you
But of course nothing worked, having to come to terms that you were a ghost
I don't think this could make his paranoia worse because technically you are gone and you can't go outside without him/Doppio, it's just a great inconvenience
He usually acts like you don't exist, yelling at you if you were to interact with the mafia boss
To Doppio you were only known to be a close friend of the boss and nothing else
He would happily chat with you, blissfully unaware that he was talking to a corpse
I think being anywhere near Diavolo in this state is a fate worst than death
Being around such a dark and negative energy already isn't good for the living, imagine how the dead feels
Plus not to mention the rough period of occasional murder attempts, all in new ways for Diavolo to get you gone for once and for all

➳➳➳➳➳➳➳
“Where are you going?” Jin asks, watching his wife put on a jacket. Mae walks over to the coffee table, grabbing her keys that she left there.
“Minseok has a dentist appointment, remember?” Mae answers. Just in time, Minseok comes out of the hallway, already dressed and ready to go.
Mae laughs, looking at the expression her husband was making as he quickly realized that he was going to be home alone with the three youngest.
Sounds familiar doesn’t it?
“We shouldn’t be gone for too long, so don’t worry,” Mae says, walking out the door. She waves at Jin.
“No good luck kiss?” Jin calls out as soon as she’s gone from his sight.
“Good luck kiss for what?” Soojin asks, walking to the couch and standing in front of her dad.
“Mommy left me to take care of you three little monsters,” Jin replies, standing up and sighing.
“What’s wrong with that?” Soojin says, following Jin as he walks to the youngests’ room.
Both Haneul and Taeyang were peacefully sleeping in their bed. Mae had put them down for a nap next to each other an hour ago. Haneul woke up super early today for some reason, so he ended up napping with his little brother.
“Let’s hope they stay asleep until mommy gets back,” Jin says in a whisper, peeking into the room.
“Why?” Soojin says loudly, accidentally pushing the door wide open, and falling on the floor. “OoHg!”
“Aish!” Jin reacts, quickly bending down and picking his daughter up.
“Daddy,” Haneul mumbles, slowly sitting up. He rubs his eyes, blinking up at his dad and sister. Jin’s eyes widens and he puts a finger to his mouth.
“Shh,” he says, mouthing to his second youngest. “Don’t wake up your brother.”
Haneul looked down at Taeyang, who was stirring a bit.
“Taeto,” Haneul mumbles, a yawn escaping his mouth. He doesn’t usually call Taeyang by his actual name but instead the name they gave him before he was born. “Daddy says wake up.” He misunderstands.
“N-no,” Jin says, dropping his head back as Haneul shakes his younger brother awake.
You’d think having an eight year old, a five year old, and a two year old wouldn’t be too bad. Just because two of them are old enough to listen.
But with these three…
It’s a different story.
-
“Carry me too!” Haneul says, reaching up to his dad.
“Me too me too!” Taeyang calls, already trying to climb up Jin’s legs. Right now Jin had Soojin in his arms. He carried her like a baby.
“Not now,” Jin says, trying to shake the little ones off. “Now what was I saying…” Jin says, turning to his daughter.
Soojin sighs. “Boys.” Again, the topic comes up a lot, just because Huimang and Hana apparently had boyfriends now.
“Right,” Jin says. “You’re not allowed. Okay? If you get a boyfriend, daddy will be sad. You have three brothers and daddy, you don’t need any other men in your life, alright?”
“Yeah, yeah,” Soojin says. “I don’t know if I want one anyways. Boys are icky. Look.” Soojin says, looking down at Taeyang and Haneul picking their noses.
“So gross,” she grimaces. Jin laughs at her. Quite proud surprisingly.
“Daddy cawwey us!!” Taeyang yells in frustration, reaching up at Jin.
“I can’t carry all of you at the same time. Are you kidding?”
“Try it! Try it!” Haneul says excitedly, pulling Jin down by his shirt. Jin gives in, bending down and the two little ones immediately go behind him, climbing his back.
“Now stand up,” Haneul says. Him and his brother are clinging tightly to his neck and shoulders. Jin laughs, dropping his head down.
“How am I going to do that, you guys are so heavy.”
“Don’t you workout with uncle JK and uncle Joonie,” Soojin reminds him. “You three always argue on who has more muscles. Show us what you got!” She taps his shoulders.
“Yeah, show us!” Haneul yells.
“Yeah!” Taeyang agrees, bouncing up and down.
“Okay okay okay,” Jin agrees, fixing his legs. “But if I can get up, you three have to tell uncle JK and uncle Joonie that I’m better at them.”
“Only if you’re able to hold us up,” Soojin tells him, a smirk on her face.
“Yah, I’ll be able to okay,” Jin says, suddenly up for the challenge.
“Okay, hurry up then,” Haneul says, losing his patience. Jin takes a deep breath before standing up.
“UGH,” he groans, as if he was lifting heavy weights. “YAH.” He yelled, as soon as he was able to stand up straight. Soojin's eyes grew wide, her jaw dropping.
“AH!” Haneul laughs, hanging onto his dad’s back.
“Hold on tight,” Jin says, feeling Taeyang starting to slip off.
“AH!” He then yells, feeling his youngest grabbing his neck and pulling, making his dad choke.
“Y-yah,” Jin says, struggling to hold them all as Taeyang blocked his airways, by hugging his dad’s neck instead.
“Taeyang-ah! Not his neck!” Soojin yells, trying to break her brother’s hold on their dad. Jin was turning a light shade of red already.
“D-don’t drop him,” Jin chokes out. He starts to crumble onto the floor, putting Soojin down. Haneul lets go as he starts to worry about his dad. Jin immediately goes for his neck, undoing Taeyang’s tight hold.
“Yah,” he breathes out, turning around and facing his youngest. Jin tries to catch his breath. “Are you trying to kill me?”
Taeyang looks at his sister, then at his brother before looking at Jin. His lip started to quiver.
“Yah, don’t cry now, I’m the one who should be crying,” Jin says. “I almost died!”
“You’re making him feel bad,” Soojin says, going up to hug her brother.
“Who’s making who feel bad?” Mae says, stepping into the living room. Minseok comes out from behind her.
“How was the dentist?” Jin asks. Minseok gave him a thumbs up as he had cotton in his mouth and couldn’t speak.
“Taeyang’s crying because he almost killed daddy,” Haneul says, pointing at his brother.
“Taeyang almost what?” Mae asks, walking up to the four.
“You almost lost a husband today,” Jin says, dropping onto the floor and playing dead. “I need CPR.” He says, puckering his lips, eyes closed.
Mae laughs, walking over to Jin and pressing a quick kiss on his lips. He didn’t budge.
“Oh no, Taeyang, what do we do? Daddy won’t wake up!” She acted, turning to her son. Taeyang looks up at his mom with his big brown eyes, lips starting to quiver once again as he walks over to his dad, dropping onto his knees.
“Daddy,” he whispers, shaking his dad. Jin didn’t budge. Taeyang drops his head onto Jin’s stomach and begins to cry hysterically, making his older siblings laugh. Which only made him cry even more.
Can you guess where he got his dramatic-ness from?
Jin sits up, laughing. He pulls Taeyang in for a hug. “I’m just kidding, daddy’s okay.”

What is your top 5 Destiel fics?
So I abandoned this blog years ago because the show was pissing me off and i had to take a step back. But, I’m feeling the vibe of the fandom again so I’ll give give it the old college try again. Anyway, here are some favorites. They’re all E or M because I’m a thirsty bitch.
My Top Five Destiel Fics
a turn of the earth by microcomets (M)
Dean’s your typical half-orphaned, monster-killing 22-year-old until a trenchcoated stranger crashes into his back windshield one September night, claiming he’s an angel that knows him from the future and that he’s on the run.
Frigging fantastic.
(Or, in which Castiel gets stuck in Dean’s timeline preseries and Dean kind of hates it—until he doesn’t.)
There’s Only One Sure Thing I Know by blinkiesays (E)
Dean doesn’t even get halfway through explaining before Bobby starts laughing. When he lets himself think about it for more than five seconds, Dean can almost see Bobby’s point: he’s faced down demons, witches, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, angels, and Satan himself and now he’s been defeated by the God damn Midwest.
the taste of gravel in the mouth by deathbanjo (E)
This is what Cas gave up Heaven for: greasy diner food, shitty motel rooms with even shittier cable, long car rides spent in complete silence except for the same six tapes playing over and over again, and a burnt-out husk of a man who can barely hold a conversation anymore.
The Most Important Thing by  NorthernSparrow (E)
Jimmy Novak remembers nothing of the last six years. Reunited with his troubled daughter Claire, he’s struggling to raise her on his own. The most important thing is to make Claire happy. But why does he keep having these dreams of wings, and of two men in a black car? (Canon-divergent from S10E11, when we first met Claire again and Dean was still struggling with the Mark of Cain. Takes places several months later).
Crazy Diamonds by pantheon_of_discord (E)
A week ago, Dean was pulled out of Hell. Now, he’s apparently woken up in 2018, and the angel that a mere twenty-four hours beforehand had threatened to chuck him back into the pit is sleepily pouring himself coffee and wearing Dean’s second-favourite Zeppelin shirt. It all seems like a perfect happy ending, but with Hell’s scars still so fresh, Dean can’t imagine how he could have possibly gotten there.
At the same time, the Dean who went to sleep in the bunker, right next to Cas, wakes up on Bobby’s couch in 2008. He’s instantly bombarded with questions by a Lilith-obsessed brother and a man who’s been dead for years, and must decide between keeping his finally-perfect life intact, and the lives he could save by re-writing history.
Regardless of these choices, both Deans are trapped in the wrong decade, and their only way back lies with a Castiel still very much under Heaven’s thumb – one who might find the future Dean describes difficult to believe.
Bonus: Two Favorite Finale Fix-its
Nothing Equals the Splendor by RurouniHime (E)
(The other fic written by this author is amazing too and we should all bully them into writing more for destiel)
Maybe it’s the cynic in him. The hunter, always under the surface of any quietude he ever found. Or maybe it’s just that he has always had trouble with blind faith. But after a while (a blink? A decade? A century?), Dean raises his eyebrows, looks around, and says—“Uh. No.”It’s so close. Just so slightly imperfect. And maybe, he analyzes, maybe that’s the final knell of this bell called contentment. Dean’s experience with happiness has always been that last rise in the road, right before it turns. Right before fate comes barreling around the corner head on.He turns in his spot on the bridge, and suddenly Sam is like a cellophane film through which he can see the light streaming, and the taste of cheap beer on his tongue is much, much older a memory than it should be.
“Oh, you’re good,” he says, and means it.
Under the Same Sun by prosopopeya (E)
In which time is infinite, and so is the list of people willing to help Dean figure out what to do about Cas.
A fix-it for a lot of things: Dean’s repressed bisexuality, Dean’s utterly inexplicable failure to realize what Cas meant, the Charlie & Dean brother/sister content I crave, among others.
Bonus x2: A Shameless Plug for my own Romantic Comedy A/U Series
Ignore the Butterflies: Best Friend Advice from Dean Winchester by impatient14
What do you get when you add Firefighter!Dean to standoffish-Doctor!Castiel?
A thousand other fics, you say? Aaaand what’s your point exactly??!?!
Dean likes his doctor, but his doctor doesn’t like him. Accidental friendship ensues, heartwarming bonding type moments occur, and oops!friends become best!friends. But best friends aren’t supposed to feel the way Dean feels about Castiel. He knows this. So he ignores all the things that he can’t help feeling. When he sits and watches a movie with his best friend or when they are arguing about which method of coffee brewing is best, he pointedly doesn’t look at his friends lips, or the adorable way he tilts his head when he doesn’t understand.
Dean ignores his feelings. That’s the way he knows how to keep his best friend. Just ignore the butterflies.
