do you have any tips for amateur writers who are just stepping onto the scene? like for example i struggle with how to make sentences flow right, etc. i have so many ideas but i struggle to put them down. any advice? 💖

all jokes aside, i think there's no "right way" to get into writing. for me, i started when i was in grade 5 and i wrote the most batshit, unhinged, god awful stories in my notebooks that i would inflict like a punishment on my 5th grade teacher so she could correct it and give me feedback.

i think some new writers would do very well with taking a more step-by-step approach to writing, and start with rigid outlines and not putting too much unnecessary detail or poetic elements into their fics (like just get the skeleton of the story down on paper and slowly add more and more to zhuzh it up).

while other new writers might do better with a more chaotic approach - like write the exact scene in your head and stick to prompts/short drabbles before you slowly begin to try your hand at longer fics. it totally depends on the person, but i think you owe it to yourself to try both and see what works best for you.

(got a bit long, so added more below)

i, for instance, am in the latter camp (chaotically just writing short scenes and slowly adding more) because i used to try outlining long stories and then i'd wind up completely abandoning them because the amount of work i could see ahead of me would freak me out. i think writing short prompts actually helped my writing flourish the most!! (prompt accounts on twitter are the BEST for this imo).

flow is a tough quality to give tips on because it's an intuitive thing but it's also based on your style. one big tip i can give, and i don't know if this will be of help to you but it was a huge realization for me, is that most people tend to miss how big of an impact format can have.

what i mean by that is, if you're writing a road trip or a long winding journey, you can evoke that feeling by having your sentences be long and serpentine, like you're mirroring the characters on the trip. versus, in a tense scene (idk, maybe the character is defusing a bomb or doing something that requires precision and concentration), short, clipped sentence might elicit that feeling better. it's not just what you're writing but how you write, if that makes sense.

but when you're just starting, the top things to focus on are:

what are the characters physically doing

what are they thinking (if you want to write a more internal perspective; you can also stick to third-person objective narration, aka no internal dialogue)

expressions on their faces

what's in the room/space around them (useful for descriptions, setting the scene, and also doing a little "chekhov's gun" if you want - showing something that might become more important later)

i hope this helps!!! that "idk how to get this out and put it on paper" feeling never really goes away lmao if im being honest, but that's part of it. you're constantly learning and improving!!

Hi! I love all of your stories that I’ve read so far (there’s so many but it makes happy cause I finish one and then can go to another). I was wondering, do you have any tips for character creation and story planning? I never know how to set everything up and section and organize.

Hi anon!

I feel bad because this is a very 'how long is a piece of string' question, like, to the point that I have literally tags that have multiple posts in them like 'pia on characterisation' and 'pia on worldbuilding' and 'pia on writing' and that would be a good place to start.

I'm not someone who is good at condensing a lot of information into short bite-sized pieces. You can tell by how long my stories are.

And honestly I organise differently every time. Anon, I don't plot most of my stories. Do you think Palmarosa and A Stain that Won't Dissolve and Underline the Black have a plot somewhere? They don't. I don't have a document that's even a list of plot points. When I say sometimes that I'm making it up as I go along, I'm literally making it up as I go along.

Sometimes my setting up is sitting down and starting the first chapter and then being like 'oh shit, characterisation.'

Sometimes I'll do worldbuilding. Sometimes I'll do behind-the-scenes characterisation. But often I don't.

Nothing writes a story faster, imho, than sitting down and starting to write the story if you have some characters and an idea in your head. But not everyone likes writing that way, and organisers hate that, and I hate being an organiser, so like...

Part of this is also - what works for me, what tips cracked the code for me, might make it a lot harder for you! You need to learn the kind of writer you are by experimenting. Maybe you're a faithful plotter and organiser, maybe you fly by the seat of your pants and don't want to truthfully plan anything at all. You can try it all! There's no one right way of doing it, there's not even a single one way right way of doing it for you, there's literally 'right ways per story' - because different stories sometimes need different things (at different times.)

Idk what kind of writer you are, anon, but it sounds like I don't do some of the things you think I do! I hate plotting with a fiery, passionate vengeance, and it makes me want to write so much less, for example! Story planning is my nemesis!!

BUT, to write a story that feels planned without planning, you have to read and watch a lot of stories.

And you have to not just enjoy them, but start thinking about when they feel fast and when they feel slow, when they feel important and when they're giving you a break, when they're telling you details, and when they're telling you action, and how they're doing that.

And you know, it might benefit you to research story structure overall, and classive narrative arcs - like the Hero's Journey, for example. As a good starting point, you might want to look into a personal favourite of mine (which I don't consciously use, but still use anyway) - Dan Harmon's Story Circle, mostly because the starting image is free, and it applies to tiny mini-stories, and broader over-arching stories, and it's colourful and pretty. And also because Dan Harmon is an extremely clever and accomplished story writer, so he knows what he's doing :D

Having done Cancer’s, which had by far the most specific details I’ve ever gotten, Spirit seemed to do that one for me & I just wrote it down. Your reading is the polar opposite. I’ve gone down a whole rabbit hole 🐰 over this, an *entire day* of Googling, Wikipedia, countless historic articles and conservation efforts, just to come up with a broad generalization, time period, and no historical ties to any *specific* anything really. Did they not keep records? Is this area generally ignored in history? I have no idea. If you choose to attempt to find an actual name, date & face, specific information, good luck 🙏 I know fun facts about all sorts of things now, and most are hardly related. Spirit usually gives me bits at a time, and I have to piece it together, like a puzzle. I saw travel, laid out Atlantis and heard “Atlantic”, with 6 Swords I saw Christopher Columbus on an expedition, and was like “no freakin way”…it’s not, but right lane. Spain 💯 similar journey, principle, and purpose. When I got to charms, it was “saw on the Fox”, then it was no…move it to the neck. Weird, but ok. Fox is deceitful, that matched up with the “bad guy” I got in the preshuffle, you cut them off (I assumed.) But nooo. “Fur trade” and then “Fox” after, seeing the saw cutting off the Fox’s head I was like OH. I see. Specifically islands, I’ve researched every fox in South America, and every time I’d finish I would hear “island”, I’m like “there’s nothing on an island!” 😆Whew lord. If it’s not an island it’s not the right spot. There’s one, idk which one, I have to let it go & move on. No names either, just “Europeans in 1800s” that’s as specific as history gets for me…idk if it’s even 1800s, and idk why Spirit is being all cryptic and shit with yours…I can’t win them all apparently.

*You* were the bad guy. From Spain, your character card is The Captain, and you were the big man in charge of…I’m not sure what, initially. I see you on a ship but not as the captain of it. You were someone important, held in high esteem by whoever was in charge of trade/exports, maybe those still in Spain that were receiving. The Hierophant here may be showing a King, or someone in a very high & respected position of authority that you reported to. Faith is also shown as having great importance in your world, Catholic specifically, but I’m not sure where that fits because I only see the fur trade as the dominant focus for you. Or you could have been a shady religious figure that somehow had dominant power over trade/hunting, specifically furs. You are described as The Devil, clarified by The Devil, a lust for money, paid for by Death, pain, blood, and eventually extinction - if my research is the correct fox 🦊 But those weren’t the only animals by far. At your death, it was coming to light how much damage had been caused to the population, I’m seeing it as being significant, for all of the people who contributed, your team had the most kills by far. I don’t see it having ended by your death, but this being the first major jolt of realization for the public, inhabitants of the island/s again it’s an island/s being highlighted, or anyone else paying attention at the time. Age wise, I’m getting around 50. Not old, but old enough for work related things to be getting harder, I’m getting an unrelated forearm injury, could be something like carpal tunnel or a muscle injury, had caused what used to be normal more of a struggle. But the death is a natural one.

In this life, you are female, and show up as Queen of Swords, a writer, a musician, and possibly a teacher too - with the Apple 🍎 charm. If not a teacher, it’s possible you’re vegetarian/vegan. May I ask what it's like to write for a character with the intent to explore their sexuality?

I haven't been a comic reader for a long time, and got into them by reading Excalibur because I was told from a friend that Rachel, Betsy, and Rictor were queer

And then that friend told me about the history of these characters and how a lot of older comics sort of play with the idea of them being queer but never explicitly is explored or stated until much later. Idk if it's just me but it seems like a lot of recent X-Men runs have kind of flirted with the idea of fluid sexuality with their characters.

So the crux of my question is really; what is the steps that are taken when you're writing about sexuality in a comic? Especially for new characters who are passed to new writers. Do you discuss the idea with their original creator or is there this kind of implied trust/understanding that that character is now in the hands of their new writer for better or worse?

Whew, this is a tough one, especially considering the point we're at in the story right now. I'm gonna try and answer it anyway, but do keep an eye out for the interview myself and the rest of the creative team did with Marvel.com which should be out later this week.

Part of the job when you work for Marvel or any other corporately owned creative entity is knowing and accepting that you have the time on the book that you have and that someone else may be writing that character later - or maybe even concurrently if they're on a team or guest staring in other books. For me, I know there came a point where I asked myself the question "would I rather someone else write this character and perhaps take their story in a direction I'm not thrilled about or would I rather this character just cease to exist and disappear from continuity after this?

Maybe it's that I'm not too precious or maybe it's that I have a tendency to fall in love with every character I write, but I would rather they continue to appear and that I see other writers pick them up and give them new stories to tell. There's not character I've written that I haven't been happy to see again six months, a year, or five years down the line. Al Ewing recently just reused a bad guy I created for Unstoppable Wasp and I was thrilled that anyone remembered them. I would be less enthusiastic if somebody decided to start publishing stories about the characters from say, Princeless, which is my creator owned comic, but when it comes to corporate comics that's the price you pay for getting to write Spider-Man.

As for sexuality, for me it's always important not to think of the discovery or revelation of a character's sexuality as "a twist". Everything you're doing should be backed up by what's already there, even if that means maybe adding the context of interiority and feelings to what was there before. Unfortunately, some audience members are never going to see or understand what experiences or relationships might shape somebody's journey and are going to have objections, but as a writer all you can do is lead the reader to queer water. You can't make them drink.

Just like with any decision characters make, you want to make it make sense. I have had the experience of knowing what I want a character's sexuality to be and not being able to write it as I wanted to, but in the case of Gwenpool I have been very lucky that there was an open editorial team with a vision for where they wanted this story to end and it was my job to make it get there in a way that's satisfying for Gwen and the readers. It's really nice to tell a queer story in the Marvel Universe knowing that a character will be able to say who and what they are and I appreciate the current Marvel team for making that possible.

anon, your lucky number has paid off!! this was one of the prompts I was hoping someone would ask!! unfortunately, my hope was a bit misguided because there is a very good reason I've never written this one, and it's that the plot is so complicated I have never been able to figure it out🤣if I had enough time to dedicate I could probably sit down and force a coherent plot together, but alas my writer brain is currently bouncing around all to many wips you may notice the prompt is very ambitious but also vague😅basically my vision was an elaborate crackfic that was also a high stakes mafia au, and while I was dying to write it, but it never transpired because I just could not figure it out! I've waded through my plans for it and managed to pick a scene to draft what it could be like, so enjoy!💜

Your chair squeaked on the floor as you adjusted it nervously. Wincing, you were suddenly unable to look Jin in the eye.

Only when Miyeon came back with menus tucked under her arm did your tense shoulders loosen. Rewarding her with a grateful smile, you took the worn paper in your hand. Those same tattered edges, more so now than even you remembered (you really had been away too long), felt grounding under your fingertips as you flipped through the menu, despite knowing it by heart.

Quickly deciding, you still clutched to the menu rather than discarding it. It formed a meagre shield as you finally chanced a glance to your dining companion.

Your stomach knotted tightly at Jin’s face, his frown spelling distasteful confusion as he turned the pages of the menu, pinched between his fingers as if he could hardly bear to touch something that wasn’t printed on satiny parchment, like the first place you had met.

With a deep breath, you forced down your growing defensiveness. Miyeon’s food could speak for itself. In any case, there were more important things to discuss aside from food. Jin’s strange obsession with the luxury when it came to his food had made your journey more interesting for sure, but you hoped you had finally brought him somewhere that would both satisfy his crankiness for good food, and keep you both out of sight.

“I’ll take whatever’s recommended,” he concluded at last, tossing the closed menu onto the tabletop.

“You won’t be disappointed,” you spoke darkly. You had thought coming back to your childhood friend’s would give you respite, but with Jin opposite you, an irreversible reminder of what was at stake right now, you only felt small.

He met your gaze evenly. Here, there were no fancy candelabras or flower arrangements to get in the way of the two of you. It gave you a full view of his wrinkling nose as he cast his eyes over the modest eatery, but you were thankful he bit his tongue.

Holding his gaze, you lowered your voice.

“At the very least, we won’t get into a shoot-out in this restaurant.”

An eyebrow raised.

“You seem very sure of that.”

“They won’t know about this place. We need to lay low, figure out a move that doesn’t involve walking right in to one of theirs.”

“You mean to say this place has no associations with any restaurant of renown,” Jin retorted dryly. You heard the thinly veiled disdain loud and clear.

“ ‘Renown’ won’t save them once this gets out,” you bit back.

A crease of worry emerged between Jin’s eyes, which widened slightly.

“But – the woodland pastry at Dokgu’s is world-famous!”

Your face transformed into total exasperation. How did he always manage to turn the conversation into food? What kind of spy neglected their mission so much? Either it was a very convincing front, hiding what his real priorities were, or he had got too comfortable on the job.

“And their trafficking head chef is about to be as well,” you went straight for the throat, not having time for this.

You had tried for too long to spare his feelings, as well as salvage some secrecy as to your objective, all before it had been lost in the mess of bloodshed that had led to you to Jin’s doorstep, fleeing in his car in the dead of night and washing up right back here. Everything was out in the open with nothing to stop it. Better to be straight with him so you could work together and get this mission over with. All the sooner you could retreat to lick your wounds.

“At least we should try to stop their kitchen garden from burning to the ground,” he pouted, “they’ve been working on a new hybrid of mint that’s supposed to be ground breaking.”

You motioned at Miyeon for more wine.

...I was very...confused this episode?

With how Carlos' character arc has been built up, it just doesn't make SENSE where they took it. It felt very 'what soap opera drama can we throw in'. I truly don't think the creators/writers realized how feral/loving/loud Tarlos fandom was maybe when they started the show, because this seems out of left field and leaves a lot of season 1 to make even less sense.

Carlos is a rock. He's the foundation of a lot of relationships and a strength for many. To hide this and then not talk to her for four years basically is inconceivable for what we've seen of him. If Iris was his best friend, he wouldn't let her meet TK until the wedding? That also seems weird. It's just a lot of places they could have taken it, and to choose her and just be like 'oh yeah time passed' is, dare I say it, lazy writing? It's like they don't know Carlos. IDK.

I'm not saying the reasoning isn't right, he needed someone in the moment and it felt like he wasn't being accepted, fine. But with how he KNOWS TK is about lying, etc, and at NOT having said anything for so long?!

I still adore TK/Carlos and didn't even realize there were whispers of not seeing them the same way etc. They will always be my favorites and they're endgame, but damn. They're in for a roller coaster, I guess. The poor boys being swept up in this.

...haha sorry. I just needed to let it out (I can't watch live so my reactions are early the next morning as I wake up an hour before I have to to watch it hahaha)

and i am definitely in the boat of like….did i want this to happen? no. do i like it? no. do i think it will unfortunately reshape now a lot of people view carlos and thus tarlos too? yeah. and those feelings to me are 100% understandable and i feel bad that people now feel bad about a favourite character/ship/the show as a whole. the carlos we know and they developed would have and should have at least told tk—even if they went this route all along, it’s a conversation that should’ve already been had.

but i will say this won’t make me stop caring about the show or the boys or their journey. it’s been too much of a bright spot for me to tear me away from it, and also like….being around for season one as we barely got any carlos and season two where they went SUPER soapy (i mean the gwyn baby plot was so out of left field and was so hated akdnsk). this show at its core is a drama and a ryan murphy production at that, and even though i think tim probably should’ve just kept this as a what-if, we should still see how they make it progress. if they allow tk the space to feel what would be valid feelings about it, if they allow us to see the way internalized homophobia and repression can just break someone apart, if they make them come together stronger at the end….that’s the important part for me. especially since as of right now tk can find it in himself to understand carlos, and if he can, i’m going to suspend my belief for a bit and see how it plays out akdnsks

I do feel bad, because I do, to a certain extent, also write for you guys! Like it’s very very very sweet to me that people are even interested in what I write and like to read it, I’m very grateful for that! I think I have said that I write for myself more so to mean that I try to make sure that I’m creating from a place I’d love/fulfilling myself creatively first, and making sure that it’s writing that’s borne out of love and creation and not out of writing for the sake of… whatever. Like I’m never writing something because I want to get a certain amount of kudos and comments or something, ya know? Because it’s a tricky trap to fall into and it’s bad to compare yourself to other writers, or even to write something because you think it’s what “other people” want to see, because then the writing doesn’t ring true, and it’s so evident to me when it doesn’t, and it just makes me disappointed in myself :/ So I try to ensure that when I’m writing, it’s coming from a place of feeding my soul first, so that there’s love imbued in the work.

That being said, I do still care what you guys think because, well, I’m a human and a people pleaser haha. I do try very hard not to let a certain response overwhelm me or make me feel bummed if something I post doesn’t get the response I thought it would, because, again, that’s just a straight path to being detrimental to my own mental health, so I’ve been trying to refocus my writing and my approach to it to be more centered around myself. But I do still care if you guys like something or not, and I love to discuss fics here and on Twitter and stuff, and it’s so very flattering to hear that you guys are eager for more. I apologize for not being the sort of writer that puts out an update every week and taking ages sometimes to update fics. Real life can be a lot and writing is not always easy, and I’m doing my best but I truly do get that it’s frustrating. I appreciate you sticking with me!

I will say some of the response to the infidelity fic was a little confusing to me at first, as I feel like I wrote it as a character study, but some folks really seemed to want alternate POVs just to get some angsty smut lol so then it feels a bit cheap, idk how to put it 😭 I am in no way positing that I’m reinventing the literary wheel with my fanfiction writing, or that it’s high art and should be treated as such, but it felt weird I won’t lie. Even when I write smut I like to ensure there’s a real reason for it to occur within a story, that there’s a real emotional undercurrent and journey we go on with the characters. I think sex is an important part of relationships and our own experiences with the world and it can be used to convey different things and I like exploring it in fic and using it to compliment my writing, not to get clicks or eyeballs or hits. So that was a bit of an odd response to the infidelity au, was just some comments and stuff asking for “those scenes.” I get it though. People aren’t necessarily reading fanfiction for art or a character study or a meditation on morality; they’re looking for an escape! It was just unexpected is all lol.

To really finally answer your question; I’m doing okay! I’ve talked with some friends and I’m not pushing myself one way or the other about writing a follow-up pov or not. I also don’t think I’m a fic writer with a huge following or anything (for multiple reasons; I have irregular updates, and because I write a lot of modern day AUs in a show/book fandom that’s set in regency and people don’t like that; and I don’t do a lot of gratuitous fluffy post-canon regency stuff that’s really popular, just to name a few) so it’s certainly not like I’ve got an ask box or anything flooded with people asking for x updates, but anytime I get a larger than normal response to something I always get a bit skittish, I suppose. To be fair, I never think anyone more than say five people are ever reading my work, which is not an accurate estimate at all, but in my head it’s usually just my friends and then I count myself lucky if it’s anyone else lol 😭 my brain can’t really wrap my head around the amount of people who read my work sometimes, and tbh I don’t think human brains are meant to comprehend that lol.

I /really/ don’t see the writers making two main characters fight (maybe even try to kill) each other over something that wasn’t important and wasn’t important enough to waste the fans’ and episode’s time on (and especially with the episodes being so short and especially in the season where the writers even said that they’re trying to have the roommates become closer this season, so this means that this fight is gonna be worth it). The two main characters fighting over /another/ main character would be a worthy enough cause I think. Maybe I have my clown makeup on but I really think they’re butting heads over Laszlo sending Guillermo away. It just makes the most sense to me - with the placement of the episode, with Nandor’s sure to be delicate headspace at this time, for Laszlo actually being the sole reason that Guillermo didn’t go with Nandor, how Nandor feels about Guillermo, how it would further prove to the audience how much Guillermo means to Nandor, it would help Nandor realize this feelings - I can go on and on, but yeah, makes the most sense to me lol

It makes the most sense to me, too! It's certainly how I would write it if someone were stupid enough to give me that power. But one thing I've always enjoyed about WWDITS is that I can never fucking predict exactly where the writing is gonna go, so I'm very much in the "this is what I want and what I think makes the most sense, but who fucking knows" camp. With the asks I'm getting now, I'm not sure if I made that clear enough in my last answer haha.

(I feel like my words are making sense but I'll be real with y'all, I am having a very bad symptom night and I'm pretty sick. So maybe I'm not being as clear as I feel lmao.)

To be very clear, if I were a betting woman (and... I am not, I hate gambling) then I'd say that Nandor doesn't know all the details of what happened with Guillermo and he'll find out when he and Laszlo are alone together. Laszlo might make an offhand remark about it (like, idk, being glad that he sent Guillermo off to protect Nadja or knowing that Guillermo will be fine babysitting Colin because he was so good at protecting Nadja or whatever) and Nandor is just like "wait, the fuck?" and things devolve from there.

I do think that if all this happens right after a wedding gone wrong (or even right, but not how he wants it to be) Nandor will be very raw, especially while talking to an absolute fucking wife guy, so he could easily lose his temper.

(Plus, side note, if Marwa does leave him at the altar, maybe he'll be like FUCK, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SOMEONE HAS LEFT ME RIGHT BEFORE I EMBARKED ON A GREAT JOURNEY WITH THEM and that'll push hard on the abandonment issues he's always had. Love that for him. And then to find out that Guillermo never meant to actually abandon him? *chef's kiss*)

Like I'd love to see them fight over Guillermo. That plot line doesn't feel fully finished yet and, more importantly, I'd just love to see Nandor go batshit over Guillermo. I have thought of MANY ways that could happen. It's how I've been entertaining myself the past few weeks. lmao.

I just don't want to put all my eggs in one basket, especially because we have at least 2-3 episodes before they fight. I'm one of those people that thinks up 30 scenarios for every situation. It's why I keep ending up with 5 times fics, whoops.

Daryl Dixon Sneak Peek, Part 2

Idk if I ever mentioned this before but the rat in the walls reminds me of this old short story by Ian McEwan called “First Love, Last Rites,” in which a newly married couple keeps hearing a rat scratching in the walls and it’s meant to represent something they’re not sharing with one another but that is gnawing at the connection between them. The fact that it’s a “rat” is not idiomatic, a la “a snitch.” It’s just a pest that you can often hear but cannot see, that stays hidden just long enough that it’s easy to ignore until suddenly it’s in the soup.

Anyway I am literally just riffing here. I hope this is helpful or at least at all useful lol. Very interested in all thoughts on any of these matters!!

Oh one more thing I just thought of, is that the search for Rick is historically a way of subverting Daryl’s failed search for Beth. This is ofc why he finds the harpy in the woods who ends up looking like Beth. He finds her, but it’s not what he thought. It’s all connected. So now, everyone thinks he’s of “looking for Rick” again but ofc this search for Rick is so much more complicated than what it seems. It’s a way for Daryl to complete the narrative he could not complete many years ago.

(And ofc because Daryl is Daryl he can never admit to himself who/what he is actually searching for—love. Beth. Her. The one who got away.)

(He hopes that if he can find and save Rick, then this feeling will go away.)

OH, also, I read in a couple places that people are speculating the device Daryl is talking into is not a radio, but a handheld recorder. Some are speculating that this will be used as a thematic device, to help break down Daryl's psyche a little, allow him vulnerability, as he's such a stoic character.

I like this idea a little bit. I am interested in the kinds of things he will say when he thinks no one can hear.

It's also this very interesting callback to Beth, who writes in a journal. It's a recorded journal. Hmm.

@galadrieljones, you know the old saying be careful what you wish for, well you might feel some regret when I ramble on and on because you asked for thoughts on your speculations, haha. I just want to start by saying how much I enjoyed everything that you've talked about yesterday and all the research you did was outstanding, as usual.

I'm definitely thinking that we're not seeing the previews or the two previews, the short one and the longer one in the correct sequence of events in the storyline. I think that the second one, the longer one where it starts with him getting off of the boat is probably several episodes into Daryl's s1 storyline.

I do tend to want to think that Daryl did in fact start his journey towards Paris from the Mediterranean coastline port of Marseille. Most of that is in telling his story I don't think they would take the time to have Daryl land closer to Paris or on the Atlantic coast then have him journey down and around and back up to Paris. Keeping in mind that we're only talking about six episodes and anywhere between 40 to 50 minutes of actually air story time per episode. The other thing is they have to keep it simple and not get overly complicated in lesser important details.

The GA needs to be able to follow what's happening or will be able to piece together what's happening easily. The spin-offs and especially Daryl's and Rick/ Michonne's needs to hold on to their faithful fans, bring back old fans and create new ones. The plot line not being too overly complicated in order to understand what's going on will be very important.

As always there will be things that the writers will put in that in the scheme of things only a few will pick up on and poke and pick apart. We're part of that that very small group. There will be a lot of things that the majority of the viewers will never notice that we will be jumping out of our seats when we see it or hear it in the dialogue. I believe the writers, Gimple and a few of the long-term producers enjoy leaving these types of hints, clues and plot details that only a special few will pick up on and enjoy the genius of it all.

For the good of the overall TWDU franchise they need to increase their numbers of viewers and that means that they have a good overall story with lots of Walkers/zombies that has twist and turns and major shockers. That will keep the viewers happy and coming back for more. I think it's safe to believe that the things that they announce or allowed to be leaked are simply the things they want in the off-season for people to talk about, to keep the buzz going, but the things that will make viewers sit up in their seat and OMG!!! what did I just see, I've got to rewatch this! are not going to be leaked or previewed unless it's part of the plan to bring people in.

An example of this is knowing that Carol will be in s2 is making a lot of viewers very happy. It's not the shocker. The shocker will be something coming from left field (left=Beth) that no one, or at least the majority of the viewers are expecting. A shocker that will be talked about for days and week and people will tune in in order to see what comes next.

I warned you long ramble.

I definitely like the thought that Daryl would be keeping a verbal journal of his thoughts. I so agree with you that it would give a great opportunity to get into his mindset. It also opens up Daryl speaking, not just us watching him, but us being able to listen to him without having to create other characters that need to have some kind of deeper storyline in order to be believable that Daryl would be opening up to them with his inner thoughts.

Daryl's line of, "I went out looking for something," instead of," I went out looking for someone," suddenly struck me as making perfect sense if his search at this point is for information. He hasn't found the information, yet. His first mission is to locate the information. And if we are correct in that he finds either recordings or video information in that building where he appears to have an epiphany that in fact Beth lived past Grady, than that will send him on his next mission of finding her.

In the original teaser, we see Daryl wash up on a straight beach. There’s no indication of where he is, as far as I can tell. There are beaches on the Opal Coast or northern coast of France but it wouldn’t make sense for him to then somehow end up in the Mediterranean. Ofc there are also lovely beaches on the southern coast of France. But how the heck would he have just ended up floating around in there? That’s a lot of information.

I think you’re right that his ultimate destination must be Paris, since that’s where we know of the majority of filming taking place, not to mention all the Paris clues in WB. I agree too that things need to stay somewhat simple. For him to end up in Marseille that is just mysterious enough to get us talking.

BUT it’s also somewhat bizarre. Why would he be in the Mediterranean Ocean?

Just enough intrigue. As far as the GA is concerned if they even saw the sneak peak they probably wouldn’t know where Marseille was. I’m not trying to denigrate them lol but even I wasn’t positive of where it was located and would have looked it up if you hadn’t already.

So to them it’s just, “oooh fancy France!” But there’s a deeper story implied here.

That's one of the examples of what I was talking about. The writers, Gimple knows that the average viewer does not care, nor would they take the time to even find out where it is, but we jumped on it and had great fun with it.

I have some ideas about Carol and Daryl being taken but I need to do some research. It has to do with some subtle hints that were left in the s10&11 and all the things in Fear this season showing us the East Coast has brought certain ideas back to my mind of how I was toying around with how Daryl getting to France and now with including Carol how my original thought could be reworked to make sense. Only speculation but I'm looking for speculation that would make sense. I'll try to pull it together and kind of present it to you guys maybe late tonight or tomorrow.

Also an interesting discovery from the comments: the bridge Daryl crosses in the trailer is called the Pont-du-Gard and is a day’s trek on foot from Marseille. I looked it up and it is indeed on the way to Paris.

This is not part of what I'll be researching and my theory I'll be putting out to you guys later. I just want to say if he originally landed by ship or plane around the Canary Islands/Dog Islands which is closer to Spain rather than go upward he takes another ship or other transportation around Spain and ends up in the coastal town.

Another thing is if this is in a later episode we don't know where he has been before that. Where he is when he meets the nun and her group. I feel that he very purposeful in the preview where he's going. This isn't random, he has a destination in mind. If he and Carol both knew that they want to find the lab or working place of the scientists then they would both know where they could ultimately find each other.

Even if they're not on the same time but I find each other later they know that they're going to be somewhere in the area of paris. Maybe for once they do plan out a system of clues of symbols that they can leave on walls or places along that way they would only recognize would be left by each other. I'm totally just rambling putting down thoughts as they occurred to me.

Okay so a couple results. First, in France, Sante Publique is the c for public health, and that is in Paris. However, unlike the CDC, the Sante Publique does not have any laboratories, and it is definitely not a Level 4 Biohazard research facility. The CDC seems unique in this respect. Sante Publique France seems more just like, a bureucratic c which publishes research, holds discussions and conferences, makes decisions on public policy based on health-related issues, etc.

There is also a Sante Publique Quebec in Canada. There are three Level 4 Biohazard research facilities in France. Two are military, one is a private research company that focuses on infectious diseases. Two are in the suburbs of Paris, and one is in Lyon, which is like 275 miles south west of Paris, in the direction if Marseille. Level 4 labs are “used to study infectious agents or toxins that pose a high risk of aerosol-transmitted laboratory infections and life-threatening disease for which no vaccine or therapy is available.”

So like, per Jenner’s example of “weaponized small pox.” There is one in Galveston, TX and several more in the US as well, beyond the CDC. So like it’s not totally a 1:1 comparison but if there was major virus research happening in france most likely it was happening near Paris. In the US, these facilities tend to be in weird, almost rural places, like Manhattan, KS and Hamilton, MT, I would imagine to keep bad things away rom population cs, but ofc we have the space for that.

The site in Lyon, France is interesting, don't you think. 80 miles from Marseille to the Pont-du-Gard and from there 146 to Lyon. That's regular roadways. It could definitely be a possibility of where he was going. The place we will be seeing is fictional. That there is a Level 4 laboratory in Lyon is a reasonable location with shown that Daryl pasted the Pont-du-Gard on his way to that building.that could be used within the story.

all personal feeling/preference aside, I really feel like one of the bigger cruxes of the shipping debates is caused by the confusing tonal switch the show takes around the end of episode 3 (I know this has been talked about to death but this is just my stream of consciousness rn ok). The Loki series starts off establishing the dynamic between Loki and Mobius; apart from Mobius and Ravonna's 'friendship', some interactions with B-15, and some expository moments with other TVA folks (like Casey), there aren't really any other focal characters or dynamics and it stays this way for the first two, rather lengthy episodes. The audience is essentially being told 'these are the two main characters of this story and it will begin and end with them and their dynamic', so this is doubly unfair to people who 1) may not have liked the dynamic bc idk why you'd think after watching the first 2 eps that the show would be about anything else other than this and a character journey for Loki (and time travel), 2) people who did like the dynamic because after the 2nd episode, guess what, it's not really a thing after that. You'd have no way of knowing that from the FIRST TWO EPISODES of a 6-part series.

It's not that Sylvie is inherently a problem- at least not to me, I love the idea of everything she could have been and that's generally how I think of her- it's that the show takes an abrupt turn from not only focusing the heart of the story around a particular dynamic, but it also begins to prioritize Sylvie's pain and struggle at the expense of literally every other character, including the two the show led us to believe were going to be the most important to the narrative. The set up in episodes one and two for this series to be an opportunity for Loki to take a hard look at himself and grow as a character as a result of his new circumstances is just about completely forgotten because it seems enough to the writers that he fall in love with a female version of himself that he met 12 hours prior- character development speedrun!! Once Sylvie shows up, everything in the show seems to readjust to orbit solely around her and the pain only she is justified to have. Which, honestly, would be FINE if they had just established from the first episode that this would be the direction of the show (soidknowtostopwatchinginthefirstfiveseconds). Maybe call it 'Sylvie' instead or make her more clearly the MCU version of Enchantress and give her her own series like Agatha.

anyway it creates endless roundabout arguments of who goes best with whom because...there isn't really a good answer to that in terms of what the show gave us (see: trash). The Loki that later falls head over heels in love with Sylvie and forgets his previous 500 personalities entirely isn't really the same Loki that had scenes with Mobius prior, because Loki was rendered to caricature playdoh that molded around whoever his scene partner happened to be and whatever goals Michael had in mind at the time. There isn't anything very consistent about him in his own namesake show, there is no real arc or linear growth we can track just, 'now he's this' and 'oh but now he's this' when it's not really clear how the character got from point a to point b.

That's not to say I didn't want to know about Sylvie and her pain- of course I did. I would so much rather have heard about and seen flashbacks of Sylvie's time in the palace, what her Thor was like, how deeply she grieves Frigga and how it drives her anger etc etc, I just wanted to see it depicted with the same approach as Loki's was, in that she isn't immune from being criticized by other characters or allowing the audience room to interpret her behavior for themselves rather than manipulating the narrative to frame her as justified in everything. If B-15, Mobius aNd Loki are made to look critically at themselves, so should she so as to be a fully three dimensional part of the ensemble.

This is also why I will maintain for the rest of time the Loki / Sylvie dynamic would have been better served as something platonic / more frenemy sibling-like at least at first...because for as much as the show REALLY WANTS Loki to hate himself, for as many chances as the show takes to make him cringe at his own behavior and that of his variants, they really did nothing in the way of explaining why Sylvie is not only an exception to the Lokis-hate-Lokis rule, she fucking makes one fall in love with her in matter of hours. How? I mean, they had fun banter and there was a suggestion of them eventually getting along better but nothing that would convince me true love happened right there on apocalypse planet, that now suddenly every motive that Loki has is purely, selflessly in favor of Sylvie, a presumed Loki variant that he has already expressed intimidation towards for being more elusive than him. (What happened to him feeling threatened by her...? He just kinda forgot I guess?) The only explanation is that she enchanted him and we'll find that out in season 2, but I'm not holding my breath. It'd be a dope twist tho tbh and would explain so much.

so idk, Loki (tv show) sucked, and that's mostly because it had every opportunity to be something new, refreshing, a show for more marginalized members of the Marvel viewer base, hell maybe even profound, and it took none of them 🙃

in his case specifically I think it's interesting that a lot of his songs are about dealing with getting older! and it's fascinating to see how it evolved in his lyrics through the years! I was thinking about this the other day when I listened to alive and the lyrics in louis' solo really made me pause for a second bc look!

We got to live before we get older // Do what we like, we got nothing to lose // Shake off the weight of the world from your shoulders // Oh, we got nothing to prove

louis is one of the writers in this but tbh you don't even need to look at the credits bc these lyrics just SCREAM louis! (and the fact that he wrote these when he was like 21?😭 I'm that age now and djgj I totally get it rip) and it just makes so much sense that the boy who wrote this evolved into the man who wrote "we were too young to know we had everything" and "do you still remember feeling young?" and who associates being young with feeling fearless! (also notice how even when he was younger he had this anxiety that growing older would make things worse and bc of that there's an urgency to live as much as he could when he was still young!)

I think Change is the most recent chapter in his ~growing up journey~ and there's still that longing for those younger years that are always present in his songs "we were just getting by... but we were complete..." which reminds me a lot of the kids from we made it who were "just trying to work if out" but who were still happy! (another super interesting thing for me is this common thing of how he misses times when certain ~material ~ things were more difficult (they were just getting by etc) but in the end he feels like those times were better bc they had something that is more important: youth, love, hope etc)

but I think we're definitely seeing a more ... idk how to describe it ... mature pov? in the sense that he's accepting it more easily and also less hopelessly!!! which is what I really am happy about! like in alive he almost equated getting old with dying!! I mean his songs about this topic are definitely bittersweet and change is no exception but the resolution "I'm still the same inside" imo is very important! and personally I think the next step is not only making peace with that but also seeing it as a good thing! which is what the song is doing with the last part: "I know it will be alright!" and "I've still got the rest of my life" I think those are such important lyrics and milestones in this whole journey because we're seeing HOPE again!! and not to be like that but... we're seeing faith in what's to come ! faith in the future ! it all ties up it all makes sense!!!!!!

this is one of my favorite things about louis as an artist, that he is and has always been so real in his art that you can see it all come together through the years because it reflects who he is as a person and it's so beautiful!!!!

I really hated the writers for how they wrote Liv this season and especially after episode 8.

First of all how is it possible that we didn't see her talk about her relapse. How and why did she start drinking? We saw the scene in 2x16 but did she really continue when Spencer was with her the whole time? Or did she start after leaving Vegas? I know we got that scene with nurse joy but she still didn't really talk about it, and nurse joy literally called her out for what she said. We didn't even go into depth. Someone else tells her why she eventually started drinking and that's it? How does she feel about it? What the actual? And how did no one ever mention that she got PTSD too? How did no one talk about how her parents never got her some help to deal with what she experienced? The girl showed some serious signs at the end of season 2 and no one cared. Somehow it's not even addressed. Why did they show those scenes if she does not even talk about it? They basically ignored that in season 3 and it was only all about Spencer's trauma.

And I still can't believe how everyone was angry and mad at her instead of asking her why and what triggered her into relapsing. Sorry but the writers seem to be more into how this storyline could cause some drama, which isn't wrong it's still a show, instead of properly addressing what led to it.

Next thing is the Asher break up. It's more of my personal view (which is why it could be very wrong because I could've misunderstood things) but anyways. So I'm not saying anything about their relationship anymore because I already did that and it's a waste of time. But what bothered me a lot is how he got to yell at her for the most stupid reason. Her caring about a friend who's going through it and then making it about himself and not needing her help anymore. Apparently she's too caring, helpful and that's what made him mad? And he gets away with it? He gets away with lots of stuff but this was just dumb. Why was she not allowed to say something about the stupidity? Why is she supposed to feel bad for her personality just because he doesn't need her no more? I know that was part of her journey but she should've stood up for herself for once. And I just know it will never be discussed again. (It was more of an excuse for his emotional cheating) That's why I'll continue.

The Layla drama. The thing that I always say is that Liv should have apologized for keeping this from her. And that's it. It's not her fault that Spencer loves her, that he told her and that he kissed her. It's especially not her fault that he slept with Layla right after and that he didn't call off things when she actually gave him the chance to. She didn't even know up until she saw them together. Now tell me what is she supposed to do? Her two best friends, where one of them got already hurt by her in the past and the other one she thought loved her wanted to be with her, get back together. What the heck is this woman supposed to do about it? Just betray her two best friends and risk their friendship? And it's Spencer who actually put her into the position where she basically had no choice but keep quiet. She didn't choose to be put into that position c'mon. And I mean we know Olivia. She already hurt Layla in the past, she was not stable in that moment too and she is crazy scarred to be alone and to hurt other people. So if she told Layla what would've happened? Layla would be mad, Spencer probably too but not for so long and she would've also lost Asher which means she would've been alone. It would've made things weird. I mean it wouldn't have been like that for to long but for someone who wasn't stable at that moment it's the scariest thing to happen.

So Idk why she was put into so much pressure and WAS NOT EVEN ALLOWED to express herself about it too?

And the most important thing is kinda the same but it's Olivia's side in the whole triangle and how it's constantly being ignored. She even belittled what happened in Vegas to "a stupid Vegas kiss". No because what is wrong with the writers? How is it that we deal with the betrayal Layla went through, how Spencer was hurt by Liv leaving and using Layla, but not how Liv was also hurt in the whole scenario? How is her part in that not as important as theirs? I'm tired of everyone else getting the "victim" card and Olivia constantly made out to be the traitor.

I mean imagine getting a love confession and a kiss by your best friend, leaving because you're scared and feeling guilty and then coming back seeing the person who told you he loved you, kiss your best friend and then get back with her as if nothing happend. Oh my god? Yes she was in a relationship with Asher but she clearly didn't love him. She loved Spencer and he knew but he gets back with his ex, who's also her best friend. I would be so danm hurt and feel like it meant nothing. Belittling it to a stupid "Vegas kiss". Then of course I'm not going to open my mouth. I would feel stupid, I would be afraid to risk my friendships. And somehow we only see Layla's side, Spencer's side, but Olivia is the bad one right? How was she not allowed to say that to Layla later on? I get that in the confrontation scene she was in her typical addiction/denial attitude but why not later on?

I still hate the whole confrontation scene and cringe everytime I think about it because the whole point was missed, some things that were said were right but some other were uncalled for. So I hate this scene a lot.

I think the writers really did her dirty with that. Somehow it was her season but I'm literally unsatisfied and as clueless as before. We can theorize and all but when is she allowed to express her thoughts?

I feel like they still have a chance to properly tell her addiction story in season 4 if she gets to talk with nurse joy and WE SEE that (because the writers have a huge problem with wanting us to assume things and not show it) or if she continues going to therapy. I mean I really want to know her story and what exactly led to her relapse. To me they belittled that too.

With Layla I also think there's kind of a chance to talk about Vegas and how she felt and maybe her apologizing for not telling her but also demanding for Layla to understand her. They still didn't have a real conversation about the whole situation and their friendship and with the whole Carrie situation it could finally happen. I hope the writers won't disappoint.

I also hope for more talks with Spencer and maybe them talking about Vegas and what happened after that. Why he made the decisions and maybe her expressing how she felt but with a good feeling after that. They teased their talk in 3x01 but we also know it might've been more of a "it was a mistake" talk.

Another thing is her dancing and art. Every single character gets to explore their interests and passions except her. I was kinda mad at first about how they only teased the dancing class with the kids, and how they only showed snippets of her art skills but I get that she might've first deal with her addiction. Yet I'm a little disappointed about how we still didn't get anything in 3B.

I really hope they show the dancing class and her being a teacher. I would really love to see her working with kids and how that dynamic would look like. And I want to see her working on art projects. Maybe as coping or to express what's going on in her mind or to make a statement. There are so many storylines one can create with art. If they don't use that they are wasting a lot of time.

I really want to see who Olivia is outside of her relationships, family, friends and addiction. Of course the addiction will always be a part of her but she's not just an addict. She's much more than that. For 3 season they still haven't managed to tell us who she really is and i'm getting tired.

I also really don't want to see Olivia helping Asher no more. Especially not through his heart condition. He made it clear that he doesn't need her anymore. Or her being the mediator in the Billy, Jordan, Spencer drama. It's the last thing we need. She should only focus on her own fr.

I chose to ignore the social justice thing and the drama with her mom because I have no real opinion on that. It was good to discuss it but it was also stretched out a little bit.

I hope they just give her a good storyline next season, lots of Spelivia without drama and more about her friendship with Simone, and finally more about herself. 💛💛

And why not hire competent experienced people for Multiverse of Madness and Loki? Is this Marvel’s way of telling us they don’t really care about these projects?

“find the heart of this story” - is the heart of this story Loki becoming best friends with his (mental and physical) torturer after what? 2 days? Was it falling in love with the ‘superior’ version of himself after only 13 hours together? I’m still looking for the heart of this story.

“what is the relatable message at the center?” - well apparently it’s ‘you can be a God and a warrior with magical powers but still get your ass kicked by literally everyone all the time and never use your strength and skills to fight back’. Or it’s the power of love, idk -

Oh wait, is it falling in love with the female version of himself? For a weird ‘love yourself’ metaphor? That must be it.

Or maybe it’s jet skis.

Ah yes, the ‘you can be good, actually’ message of this series that is so subtly presented to us...

They really missed the whole fucking point of Loki.

They missed it so bad they made him call himself a narcissist (which he isn’t btw).

For the record, Loki is a prince of Asgard who learnt one day he was adopted and in fact taken from one of Asgard’s worst enemies, the King of the Jotuns, aka Frost Giants “the monsters parents tell their children about at night”. He found out he was not only adopted but also abducted and not out of love. He feels not only betrayed but he thinks he understands now why Odin always favoured Thor and why he’d never have the same love from Odin that Thor has had his whole life. He thinks of himself as a monster and wants to be worthy of Odin’s love. So he tries to get it. And sure, he doesn’t do it in the best way, and yes, he is the villain of that story. But Loki isn’t a villain. He doesn’t like to make people suffer, he did it out of pain, out of hurt. The events in Avengers was after he was thoroughly tortured and coerced by Thanos to invade Earth. There is even a moment in the end when Thor asks him if he thinks this ‘madness would stop under his rule’ (or something along those lines) and he looks unsure and regretful. But due to the fear of Thanos and insecurity about himself (love is weakness or whatever) he keeps going. He redeems himself in Dark World, again in Ragnarok and yet again in IW and he was thrown in the trash for it.

Yes, Loki’s story is complex, but it really isn’t that complex... So maybe Loki is a “scared little boy” but his way of acting out makes sense and there’s a legitimate reason for it that was not explored in the show. And his backstory is probably what she called the “bells and the whistles”...

“we literally delete his universe” - and apparently you deleted his personality too

“it’s a story of reinvention ... can Loki find goodness in himself?” - again, you’re missing the point. Loki is insecure, but not about his ability to do what’s right, but about whether or not he is worthy of love! Finding goodness within himself comes AFTER!

“Loki’s journey, to me, is really about acceptance of himself” - several questions here, um, first, what about himself does he need to accept? That he’s a Jotun? The show never mentions it. That he’s done bad shit and should forgive himself for it? Give him a reason to. Self-love doesn’t come after being mentally and physically tortured by some guy who acts like he’s your best friend after 2 days of working together and being yelled out that “he can be anyone he wants, even something good”.

Show, don’t tell, isn’t that the point of your job?? The job you begged for??

Loki’s journey should have been about self-love and no, falling in love with the female version of yourself (who keeps saying they have nothing in common (because they don’t!)) doesn’t count!

“a more mature and darker path” ...

well this is interesting... was making Loki a clown and the butt of every joke part of making the show mature and dark? Were the terrible attempts at humour? Him being beaten up every two seconds? Having him say lines he’d never say in a million years just to be funny but since it’s out of character for him it fails completely? Was making him incompetent and a complete idiot part of that attempt of making the show mature and dark?

Is that why there’s no magic? You cut off the magician so your show would be more “mature and dark”?

Having him cry every episode doesn’t make your show mature and dark.

Loki from Thor, Avengers, the Dark World and even IW is mature and dark. Your Loki from your series is just a pathetic clown.

“don’t give viewers the story they are expecting” - I personally wasn’t expecting any story, I just wanted Loki, you know, in this Loki series, supposedly all about Loki, and you guys couldn’t even do that.

So this is the author of the article speaking here, I’m guessing, and I think they’re giving a summary of the show so far, so let’s break this down:

“This is Loki as we’ve never seen him before” - I 100% agree -

“Stripped of his self-proclaimed majesty” - ok, first of all, Loki is a prince, that’s a fact, he didn’t make that up, and for the few years he was King of Asgard disguised as Odin, he seemingly did a great job, so...

“but with his ego still intact” - ah, yes, his ego, you know, because he’s such a narcissist... oh wait -

yes he has an ego, but he has a regal one, not misplaced entirely either - his ego in the show is basically him underestimating the TVA and Mobius (as well as the Time Keepers) - his ego is him getting offended by the variant: the ‘superior Loki’ - his ego in the show is used as a weapon to humiliate and belittle him.

“he faces consequences he never thought could happen to such a supreme being as himself” - he literally tried to k*ll himself in the first Thor - literally a result of his own actions - when he returned to Asgard in Dark World, he didn’t try to pretend he hadn’t fucked up. He didn’t try to hide what he had done (he tries to deny to Mobius in episode 2 that he was manipulating them at the fair) - he sacrifices himself in IW... but sure, Loki from the series is indeed surprised that he is powerless (even when he doesn’t need to/shouldn’t be)

“there is a lot of humour ... he is taken down a few pegs by the TVA” ... he is humiliated by the TVA - definitely not what we were expecting, I’ll give you that.

“sentenced to a lifetime of bureaucracy” - definitely did not expect that either

and here comes my favorite quote: “it’s a sad Loki without any mischief”

yes - yes - yes

that is a good summary of this goddamn show, a sad, pathetic, powerless Loki without any personality

“fallen God” - yeah that’s definitely not what I was expecting either from the Loki series so good job on subverting expectations I guess...

“who is going to win out in this match between them?”

there is no match - Loki is powerless - he’s been turned into a pathetic docile harmless wet dog - Mobius literally mentally (episode 1 and 4) and physically (episode 4) tortures him, both time in an attempt to have Loki do his bidding - Loki is the dog and Mobius is the master - even when Loki ‘tries’ to manipulate him it fails because he’s underestimating them (by overestimating himself) - he uses obvious techniques to manipulate the TVA (episode 2) and nobody buys it because it’s not subtle at all! Loki is smarter than that, he is a TRICKSTER GOD FFS!

“there is an interesting dynamic between them that maybe you haven’t seen with Loki in the Marvel movies” - yeah, maybe there’s a reason for that... like... he wouldn’t... submit so easily... he’d be wary, cautious, cunning... he’d be... himself...

It’s like whoever wrote the series didn’t actually know shit about Loki... like that wasn’t fucking obvious...

And those lectures were apparently done after the script was written so... again, no surprise there... we can see that

I’m of the people who see a vulnerability beneath those layers of charm and playfulness. I love Loki because he’s smart and cunning and regal, and elegant and sophisticated. I love him cause at the end of the day, he just wants to be loved, and he deserves to be loved.

And in the end, the only Loki I can’t stand is the one from the series.

One of my favorite things about your stories is how detailed not only your explicit/smut scenes are but how well they tie into the overall plot. I've never read anything from you that didn't have proper warnings? I believe I even thanked you once for your detailed warnings for aaol because that was hard one for me to get through and I still have a few chapters left of it to read.

You actively interact with your readers while you're releasing your stories and you take time clear up any questions or concerns. Insinuating that you are careless with your work or don't put in effort is just blatantly wrong and disrespectful.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I would pay good money for hard copies of your stories. You are my favorite writer on here and give us really good, quality content for free.

The smut in my stories is to 98% always filled with some sort of development or reasoning for being here. Let's take aaol for example because you mentioned it. The sex in the beginning smut scenes was rough and Kook wanted it to be filled with harsh treatments and pain because his brain needed that in its rather broken state. Now story development comes and with it Kook's journey to recovery, with it the smut changes. It goes from harsh BDSM practices to softer BDSM because Jungkook doesn't need that thrill of rough sex anymore to feel fullfilled. He is now stable, he knows that he is loved and he can see sex as something relaxing again, something where he can get lost in and feel safe in. idk where the development is missing here, but if I open my eyes and stare at the words I just created, I see rather big signs of development and also importance of the smut.

But oh well, I guess some people just can't read. Which is rather ironic because they suddenly are able to read the actual story and suddenly are able to write a shitty thought through anonymous asks to the writer, but fail to read the warnings. Truly, the wonderous magic of that irony.

OKAY BUT I LOVE INTERACTING WITH YOU GUYS HEHEH I legit come home after a long day of college, open my laptop just to talk to you guys about my stories, it fuels me 🥺💜
