Canada

Canada honestly hated having to do this, but he really felt like he had to. That and he was just really pissed. Like a lot. Like screaming, hitting, and punching type pissed. But, again, doesn't like seeing you hurt.

After he absolutely destroyed your lower calf and beat you for a while he spent a minute staring at you, a bit in a daze, until eventually suddenly snapping out it and quickly bringing you home to properly care for the damage he has afflicted upon you.

He was way gentle afterwards, bandaging and disinfecting the wounds with much care and as thuroughly as possible. Though, it was clear he wasn't just going to let this off the hook with the way he decided to directly tie you to a hook on the wall, with very little wiggle room and no way to move more than maybe a foot.

Your progress in all the freedom you acquired was not only reset, but even worse than where you first got here. It's uncomfortable, even with the pilow he provided you. You're no longer allowed to have your hands free in general, and he has to feed you instead of letting you do it yourself. When you need to use the restroom you have two minutes in there until he starts asking what you're doing in there.

It wasn't really all that painful though outside of the ache of the previous abuse he made you endure. That and the occasional ache from the limitted positions you have at your disposal, don't worry though. Every three days he'll switch your spot so you'll at the very least have a different view to look at. In general, he isn't the worst to have, but definitely not the quickest to forget. You'll be stuck doing this for another month or two before he even considers giving you the slightest of freedoms.

Russia

Ivan is not nearly as lenient as Canada. Hell, after he beats the life out of you, probably breaking more than just your leg, he decides to lock you up in the basement—the cold, empty basement. He drags you to the stairs, shoves you down, and locks the door before ditching you for the next day or so.

Eventually, though, he returns, purely to ensure you don't die. You've been bad, but he'd never want you dead. It would be a lonely world without you by his side. His hands roughly push you around as he wraps you up in bandages and drenches your wounds, rubbing the stuff off with a washcloth afterward. He forces you to be tied up in a position where the majority of your bones will heal correctly, besides the leg. If the leg is messed up, that'll make any future attempts all the harder for you, which is what he wants.

Once he's done with that, it'll be another two days. No food, no water, no warmth, no him. Just sitting in the basement without pain medicine, starving, perhaps freezing, as he does nothing to help you with frostbite or hypothermia. Though, as expected, he returns yet again, and this time with food. The force-feeding will be rough, and you'll likely choke a couple of times, but honestly, it's better than you having been starving earlier.

This will be your life for two or so weeks, rotting in the basement, with your only human interaction being when you need to eat or maybe even for the restroom. The good news, though, is that Russia isn't a very patient man. Even if he's frustrated, he misses you a lot. So you'll be freed rather quickly compared to Canada, funny enough. Or at least, freed from the basement, that is.

Don't take this as him forgetting, though. Oh no, he remembers. You're only this lucky because he loves you, okay? You'll never know any of the freedoms you might've had in the past, and you're pretty much stuck with being tied or trapped for the rest of your miserable life. The only thing that'll really change is just the quality of how he'll treat you, the comfort in which you'll be provided, and your setting. So have fun, dear reader, and good luck. You'll need it.

Clothes, toiletries, shoes, snacks, and your carry-on. Yup, you're all packed. Only one last thing to do before you left for your flight.

Today, you're leaving for a week long trip for your job. You're leaving, and Todoroki's staying. As much as he would love to come with you, he has things to care of while you're gone. You're all packed, ready to head out the door, except for the last -most important- thing you have to do before you leave.

You leave your bags at the front door, opting to search for the boy in question. You find him sitting at the edge of your bed, scrolling through his laptop. "Sho, I'm ready to go, wanna start?"

He looks up, smiling at you and setting his laptop to the side, meeting you at the bedroom door in a few quick strides. "Yeah," he leans down giving you a quick kiss on the lips, "go ahead to the living room, I'll get the supplies."

You follow his instructions, sitting down and making yourself comfortable as you wait for him to get the items needed to draw your blood. Usually, Shoto feeds from you, but since he can't go with you, plus you're going to be gone for a week, you made the decision on him drawing blood from you to keep him fed while you're gone.

He comes into the living room, sets everything down on the table, and turns to you. He offers you his hand, a sign to give him your arm. When you do, he pauses. "You should probably lie down." You do, keeping your arm outstretched to him and relaxing on the couch. "Let me know if it hurts too much."

He goes the full nine yards, wrapping a tie around your arm, rubbing his finger over the spot he picked to make sure the blood is pumping. He does it all. He gives you one last look, needle in hand, before sticking you with it, watching your blood filter from your body, into the bag next to you.

"You sure that'll be enough?" you ask, noticing he only has two blood bags.

"Yes, Love. I'll need to pace myself while your gone," he says gently, bringing his hand up to rest on your cheek.

You smile, turning your head a bit to look at him. "I wish you were coming."

"I wish I was coming too. but it's ok, you'll be back in no time," he laughs slightly, "and I'll again get to drink from the sweet source." He leans over, playfully nudging his nose again your cheek, making you squirm and laugh for a moment before lays his hand on your stomach. "Don't move too much."

His tone says he doesn't want to waste any blood that might drip, but his eyes say he just doesn't want to accidentally hurt you, needle being in your arm and all, so you settle smiling at him and waiting to be done.

"Ok, one more, almost done," he says, pressing his thumb to stop the flow, changing the bag and securing it before hooking up a new one and letting it start filling again. "You're doing so well. Thank you for this." Shoto settles his hand into yours, rubbing his thumb in circles on your skin.

"Of course, anything for you, Sho. Just don't get caught with blood bags in the fridge and medical supplies in the bathroom while I'm gone," you joke, earning and laugh from him.

About halfway through the second bag, Shoto notices your eyes starting to flutter shut. You're fighting unconsciousness. Shoto scoots closer, his hand instinctively going to your shoulder. "Y/n? Hey, Love, do you need me to stop?" He barely waits for an answer before his hands are creeping down to unhook everything.

"No, no, I'm ok," you sigh weakly, "want- want you to finish."

Todoorki bites his lips, looking down at the three-quarters-filled bag. 'Ok, ok. Almost done, almost done, baby," he says quickly.

The second the bag is filled he wastes no time unhooking the needles and stopping everything, checking over your whole body, listening to heart rate, and letting you lay on the couch as he cleans everything. This is the first time you had done this, and everyone reacts to getting blood drawn differently, so it's not even a thought as Shoto offers to instead drive you to the airport, wanting you to rest in the car ride, of course, giving you and a small bowl of cereal and juice to eat before heading on the road.

"Thanks again. You know it means a lot," he says, pulling up to the airport drop-off area. You'd slept the whole ride, getting enough strength to make it through security, to the gate, and on your plane, where you'll probably sleep the whole ride.

"Of course, Sho. No regrets," you smile. "Be safe while I'm gone."

He laughs and frowns. "That's my line."

You smile. “Yeah, guess it is.” You lean to him, giving him one last kiss goodbye. “Love you.”

“Love you, too”

Your trip went well, and you're happy to be coming back. You missed Todoroki and your home. The first two days, things seemed fine, he'd text you and call when possible, keeping you updated, after though, things got quieter until it was just plain silence.

You chose not to let yourself worry, burying yourself in the work you had to do while you were gone and not thinking about it, knowing he's fine, he's strong, and he'll be home when you get back. Judging by the text you got from him before you boarded the flight home, you knew the last few days must have only been paranoia and circumstances:

See you soon, Y/n.

You pull up to your home and get out, getting your bags and walking to the front door. There's something running through your veins. Partially excitement to see Shoto again, but also something else. Fear? Dread? You weren't sure, but whatever it is, it still pushes you on as you unlock the door and open it.

If it wasn’t fear that you felt before, you definitely felt it now. The house was dark, only light coming through the blinds lit it enough for you to see. And it’s cold, any colder you’d be able to see your own breath. Things are scattered everywhere, almost like someone went into a fit of anger and started throwing things.

You leave your bags on the floor, forgotten about as you step forward, Shoto’s name on the tip of your tongue, but dying in your mouth before the first syllable even comes out, a flash and small burst of cold air going past you, and then you feel arms circle you from the side, pulling you into a cold body.

Your breath is caught in your throat as you feel Shoto’s breath on your neck. You try to speak, try to move, but he’s strong, keeping you pinned against him, even at the weird angle.

His hand grasps your neck, tightening around it and keeping you still as he leans in. You feel panic start to rise in your bloodstream. What could’ve happened? He said you left enough blood, everything should have been fine. But you know this, you know the signs, you caught a quick enough glimpse of Shoto’s blown pupils. The way his usual eye colors are gone, you feel his tight grip in every move he makes. The look on his face tells it all.

This is Shoto’s bloodlust.

He’s only been in bloodlust twice before around you, but both of those times it wasn’t necessarily geared toward hunger, but now, you’re not sure what’ll happen. But you still hold on to the thought that Todoroki knows you, he loves you, and he isn't going to kill you. He’d rather go through all his life again and have to redo every moment again before he drained you of all the blood you need to live. You trust him.

Todoroki squeezed his hand around your neck, making your pulse jump once again as he drags you to his mouth, also leaning down all at the same time and opening his mouth.

There’s no second thought, no hesitation or regard, only the pain of the bite. The feeling of his fangs digging into your skin, eager and draining your blood. It’s fast, so fast you can almost feel the blood rushes out of you, a big change compared to how he usually does it, slow and steady, letting you savor the tranquil feeling like you usually do.

You can feel his arms wrapped firmly around your body, and for a second, he pulls away, but only so he can turn you, making your chest flush against his as he digs his fangs into your skin again.

This time, it only lasts about ten seconds before you feel your vision to go. Your body feeling heavy, and suddenly so much more tired than seconds ago. Your eyes flutter shut, and your legs go out, consciousness slipping from your grasp.

Todoroki feels your body going limp, and he secures his arm around you, keeping you against him as he continues to feed. He carries you to the bedroom, his mouth still attached, and he lays you on the bed, his body fully over yours as your blood begins seeping from his mouth, and he continues to feed.

Shoto loves you, he protects you, you trust him. Shoto would never kill you.

a/n. I know I said I don't write for enha anymore (which I don't) but I started moving my drafts to google docs and found this from over a year ago 😭 it was almost done so I edited it a bit. I do have more drafts for enha, if I finish them I'll probably post them too

Somehow, being in a relationship feels exactly the same as being single does. There's no one next to you when you wake up in the morning, no one to keep you company while you eat breakfast, no one to check in on you during the day and ask if you've been drinking enough water, no one to wish you goodnight and cuddle with until the sun rises again the next day, and then do it all over again.

At least not after your honeymoon phase; he was all over you when you'd first started dating. Sunghoon let you know that he loved you every single day. Whether he sent flowers to your home with handwritten messages or simply asked how your day was, you never felt out of place in his arms; in fact, it was the only place you felt fully at home in. Sunghoon was your definition of love; you didn't know what it was before he came into your life.

But these days, you're forgetful. You forgot what it feels like to be held by him; the embrace that greeted you every night when he came home slowly lost its warmth until it felt like his blood ran cold, and then he didn't bother to acknowledge you at all.

You forgot what his voice sounds like. You've never known 4 hours to come and go quicker than when you were on a call with him. The space between hello and goodbye was a blur of nothing but smiles and laughter. He'd beg you, "Just five more minutes" until the birds are chirping as the sunlight seeps through your curtains, and even then he wasn't tired of talking to you. The last time he called you was three months ago.

You've even forgotten what he looks like. The mole on the bridge of his nose—or maybe it was the corner of his lip—that you adored more than any feature on his face Endless coos, and that left him pink, bashful, and giggly. There was nothing that put Sunghoon in a better mood than when you'd fuss over his beauty spots and litter them with kisses. Every time you mention how pretty you find them, the thought of getting them removed is all that crosses his mind

He's been slowly moving out of your apartment, bit by bit. Asking for a hoodie of his you stole back, books, and stationery, he left so he could work on the weekends he spent with you and make their way to his dorm with him, the scent of his cologne on your bedsheets dissipating until the bitter stench of laundry detergent is all that's left. He never brings anything for you any more, but he'll always leave with something, and that will be the last you see of it—see of him—until he's back to take something else from you.

He'll sit there and watch his phone ring. Your name, decorated with a red heart he felt too guilty to remove, lights up his screen for the third time that day, and he'll wait for it to go to voicemail, then he'll wait some more to tell you he was busy and will call you when he can—even though you both know he won't.

The guys know now to stop asking about you; never mention how long it's been since they've seen you; never ask when you're going to visit again; and never ask how you are. They won't get an answer because Sunghoon doesn't know.

It hurts more than you'd ever imagined—probably because you'd never imagined it at all. The thought of your love turning rotten never crossed your mind, ever. A part of you is still in denial, believing his excuses and telling yourself that he does still love you, even when he hasn't said it in months.

But no matter how many flowers you pluck to the stigma or dandelions you make a wish on, your head knows the answer, and so does your heart.

He loves you not.

This is part 11 to my Skz poly fic. I'm glad you guys seem to enjoy it these have been kinda soothing writing. This one's kinda short but I promise next chapter will be longer.

It had been 4 days since that date. You were kinda surprised and upset that you hadn't gotten a text or a call from any of the boys. Maybe you should've texted? Well that's what you were doing now.

You only had 2 of their numbers. Felix and Changbins. You decided to text Changbin knowing he'd probably text back sooner or at least you had hoped he would.

'Hey Bin I was wondering if you wouldn't mind making a chat with all of the boys?'

You watch as you look back at your computer screen. You were elbow deep in notes and typing up papers for work. You weren't even at the office though. You had gotten an email from your boss letting you know that the office was still closed and it probably would be for a while longer.

You didn't mind though. You didn't hate the work but you hated the people. They were all stuck up thinking they were too good and talking behind each other's backs. If the money wasn't good you'd probably quit. It was such a toxic working environment.

Your phone lights up.

'Of course I don't mind.' Changbin texts back.

His text brought a smile to your face. Within seconds you get texts from all 8 boys.

'Hi Y/N it's Chan' one text says.

'Im sure you already know who I am 💋' you chuckle of course you knew who it was.

'No she doesn't all she knows is that you sent a kissing emoji Ji' You laugh at that knowing it was Felix. Of course it was Felix who had always joked with Jisung.

'Don't be stupid already you two I'm Hyunjin' the text says.

'We'll come in Seungmins room right now' Felix texts and you laugh.

'I wish you guys would' Hyunjin texts back.

'Do not come in my room' a text says from who you assume is Seungmin.

'Dont test us' Jisung texts.

'You guys won't' Hyunjin texts back then there's no reply from either of them.

Instead there's another text. 'See now this is why I lock my room door 😑' Seungmin says and you laugh.

'Ignoring our 3 ridiculous boyfriends I'm Minho' a text says.

'It's Jeongin, I.n. or Innie whichever you'd like to call me' Jeongin says and you smile at his words remembering how the boys had called him Innie when you first met.

'Hi Innie' you text back.

'Hi Y/N' Jeongin says back.

'You already have my number but it's Changbin.'

'Well I'm sure you guys all know who I am then' you text in the group chat.

'Of course we do' Chan texts back.

'Hows work going' Jisung who is now back asks you.

'Its been taking up most of my time even though I'm not at the office and probably won't be for a while' you text back.

'Oh why aren't you at the office' Minho asks.

'They're adding a new floor which will probably end up taking a month or so' you text back.

'Well if you're not busy tomorrow could you stop by and help me redye my hair blonde the roots are starting to show and I hate the uneven colors' Felix texts.

'Why not me again' Changbin asks.

'As much as I love and cherish you and would do literally anything for you I'm not letting you help me again you almost had my hair fall out' Felix texts and you laugh.

'I literally read the directions' Changbin says.

'You read the directions but didn't set a timer after 30 minutes I asked you how much longer you said like 10 minutes then after the 10 I asked you again and you said a little bit longer it was almost an hour before I washed out the hair dye and I was terrified my hair was going to fall out 😭' Felix says.

'That's fair' Changbin says and you laugh.

'So will you Y/N please 🥺' Felix asks you.

'I'll try my best to get all my work done for tomorrow done today and then head over there and help you tomorrow 😊' You reply back.

'Thank you so much!' Felix says and it makes you smile.

'Of course' you text.

'Since you're coming over tomorrow why don't you help me cut the ends of my hair' Jisung says.

'Dont you guys have hairdressers?' you ask.

'Yeah but they're not you' Jisung says and it makes you smile.

'Okay I'll come help you but I'm reminding you Ji I'm not a hairdresser' You say to him.

'Don't be upset when your bald tomorrow Ji' Hyunjin texts and you laugh.

'Im not that bad' you say.

'Hey if I'm bald tomorrow at least I'll be bald and happy knowing Y/N cut it' Jisung says and you laugh.

'Ji I love you and I'd do anything for you but if you go bald you won't ever see me again' Hyunjin says.

'So you love me for my hair is what I'm hearing' Jisung texts.

'Please do not make Jisung bald' Minho says.

'I wasn't planning on it😂' You text.

'I'd be upset bc I like pulling his hair during sex' Hyunjin says and your surprised by that text but quickly realize it was Hyunjin and Jisung asking you and teasing you about Felix so you weren't as surprised.

'Really Hyunjin? Now was the time to text that' Chan texts.

'Now or never and it's true so what's the problem' Hyunjin texts.

'Well I'm not making Jisung bald so you'll still be able to pull his hair' You text.

'See Y/N gets what I'm saying are you a hair puller too?' Hyunjin asks. You laugh.

'You don't have to answer that' Seungmin texts.

'I don't mind but to answer your question it depends on the person' You texts back.

No one texts back for a second. Maybe you shouldn't have answered that.

'You're driving me crazy' Hyunjin texts back.

'You're not the only one' Jisung texts.

'You have no idea the effect you have on us do you' Minho texts.

You're surprised by all those texts and look away from your phone for a moment trying to calm yourself.

Another buzz brings you back to reality.

'Stop being horny we need Y/N to finish her work so she can can come over tomorrow' Felix texts.

'Don't pretend you weren't affected by it Lix' Hyunjin texts.

'Like I said let's let her finish her work'

'Fine' Hyunjin says.

'Bye Y/N!!!' Jisung texts.

'Bye Y/N see you tomorrow' Felix texts.

'See you tomorrow' Hyunjin texts.

'Bye Y/N have a good night' Chan texts.

'Hopefully if I'm not busy with work I'll see you tomorrow' Minho texts.

'Sorry for the craziness we'll talk tomorrow' Changbin texts.

'Bye you guys I'll see hopefully all of you tomorrow' You text back.

With that you turn off your phone going back to your computer. You really needed to finish all your work for tomorrow so you could go over there.

You didn't realize how much you loved seeing the boys and how much you missed talking to them. They all had their unique personalities and you loved that.

You needed to finish this work so you could see them so you push them from your thoughts for now typing again on your computer.

anyway back to the request I question the visions and delusions part because Qiqi is a Zombie an uses a cryo vision BUT I'M GONNA GLOSS OVER THAT BECAUSE YEs

Let's go lowest to highest in ranking like I usually do and start with Childe who, imo, would accept on the grounds that it is power and he will take anything to become more powerful even at a detriment to his health and physical condition. Though there is a price, he has accepted prices before and assuming that the pay off is good enough the use of a vision or delusion would be obsolete anyway. That, coupled with his love for you as his motivation is more than enough to sway him in your favour as he can see more to gain than lose from spending eternity by your side.

Arlecchino is a tough one because I can totally see it and it's really hot but Idk if she would. I wanna say yes, but I can also see reasons for no. The Vampire Arlecchino energy wins though because tbh I can see her being willing to make that sacrifice for her lover. I don't see her as fully whipped per se but like she's definitely loyal yk, probably pick you over the Tsaritsa and would want to spend an eternity with you at your behest.

Next is Pantalone. Cool vampire vibes. Someone gave me this wonderful headcanon that he is obsessed with his delusion, and I now love it to death so much that I based a character on it. So tbh yeah, there's benefits in this for him. He gets to be with you and have a little more power at a far lesser detriment. Plus like, you can't convince me this man wouldn't be lowkey into it.

Signora, I'm not sure. She has already lived a long time, and she has a lot of natural power already. Her delusion is what balances her, so I honestly think I'd have to say no. For Scaramouche- well, bro is an artificial human, so tbh, I don't even think he would be affected by that. I'll skip him too.

Next would be Pulcinella, but I was told no Pulcinella, so Capitano (I almost forgot him send help). I like the abyssal creature Capitano headcanon, but even if he was just, a guy. I think the answer is no. HE'S WHIPPED AND WOULD DO ANYTHING BUT NOT THIS 😭 at least not at first, but give it a while and I can see it. It'll take time, though.

Columbina is also tricky because she has such entity vibes, but like also, seraph/vampire pairing would be so hot I can't even deny that. I should write that. Anyway, I feel like she's already immortal, so that doesn't matter, and she is indifferent to the power you offer. It's a matter of it not holding value. She has everything she could get out of it already.

Finally, we come to Dottore. Dottore is into it, don't lie, you know he is; this man is freaky. He'd enjoy the prospect of being a Vampire more than the perks of it, and that's enough to convince him. Besides it's 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓼𝓬𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 so he gets to excuse it. He couldn't turn it down even if it was just one of his segments because he's got to know what it's like and all the differences. He collects knowledge.

This was way more chaotic than usual 💀 Idk if I will write more like this but I did enjoy it so maybe, depends if y'all like this or my other styles more. I just like the chilled out casual chaos sometimes so lmk

hello cris! i would love to ask as someone who is currently learning a language (i'm currently trying to learn italian again for the nth time) what are your favorite techniques when it comes to learning a language? i've been trying to study italian for two years now but i always end up giving up immediately 😭🫶🏻

Hello anon!

Firstly I had a vague memory of talking about this before and I checked my masterlist so in case you want to read more here is another similar ask I answered to a while back and here an ask in which I meanioned a few italian fiction books for people who are learning. I'll be honest I did not reread those and I don't remember what I wrote lmao. But you have some more reading to do after this just in case!

At the moment the main language I am very slowly trying to learn is Irish. But I will be honest it's more a free time hobby than actual studying. In the sense that I don't have a schedule for it and I have ups and downs in which I am able to focus a bit more, and times like the past few months in which my energy is nowhere to be found so I do very little progress. The main way I am dping this is with duolingo, which I feel is a great way to start and to keep a tiny bit of practice in your everyday life which is fundamental. Of course if you want to have more progress I would suggest coming up with a more structured study plan and schedule, but I'll talk about it in a bit. The other thing I am implementing is a grammar book that of course is what requires more mental energy. My technique with that is, as everything I study, to read it, underline important things and write my own set of notes. That is because I know it is my main way of learning in general.

And with this we come to a important point, before getting into learning anything try to figure out what are the ways you learn things best. Everyone's brain works differently, I personally have awful memory and my brain works way better using logic (which is why the way duolingo is structured works wonders for me, because it forces me to learn grammar rules with logic and it repeats vocabulary so much that even I end up memorizing it). Writing notes down, even several times, is my go to way of learning in general so of course I focus a lot on that. Clearly with learning a language you also need to implement a lot of practice, which is way I recommend trying out a well made plan. This doesn't mean create insane goals that will make you feel overwhelmed. Instead create a low effort plan in which you regularly do a bit of everything:

Learn vocab and practice it

Learn new grammar rule and practice them

Work on booktext esercises

Active learning with a book

Active learning with a video

These are just some ideas. When I self studied english what really made me learn the language was active learning by immersing myself with the language. That forces you to learn. Watch youtube videos in italian (I am pretty sure there's some people who make specific videos for language learnera in which they speak slowly and focus on certain vocab, so I highly recommend those, but when you feel more comfortable with the language go for pure entertainment, that will have you learn actual spoken Italian which is of course different from textbooks). Approach the language with written texts with either children's books or those novels simplified for language learning (those are great because you often get exercises to practice how much you understood of the story).

I know I have probably mentioned it before, but the first way I got into self studying English when I was younger was by writing down lyrics to my favourite album. I think I have it lying around still, a notebook filled with the lyrics to all the songs from Imaginaerum by Nightwish next to the translations. Listening to music in your target language is such a good trick imo. Take my brother, the guy does not speak one word on English but he knows by heart all the lyrics to Iron Maiden songs all.of.them. he never really had to practice English but if he had to I would suggest he started there. The more you get your target language into your daily life the better it is, and I don't mean just learning from books. Force yourself to describe the room you are in in your target language, write about your days in a diary and do that in your target language. When you are waiting in line list all the words that come up to you in your target language. It's hard at first, of course it is, but with time it gets easier and easier. The final goal is to be able to think in your target language, even if the grammar isn't perfect and it takes a long time to remember the correct words.

Think of yourself as a young child. They are learning languages like you, starting from zero, so focus on things that are for them, books and movies. You cannot expect to learn a language like a native speaker of your age right away, they have years of experience speaking it. If you instead think of yourself as a kid you will approach things that are at your current level, and after you can move on from there.

I think the goal is to make a plan and to fit even the tiniest bit of language learning into your everyday life. The progress might be slow but you are training your brain anyway. When you see something isn't working change it up, give yourself reachable goals, and keep it fun.

(Y/N) cut him off with a kiss, holding his hands and stroking the back of his knuckles.

Ron brought his free hand up to the back of (Y/N)'s head and held him there, angling his head to deepen the kiss.

"Ew! Ron- do not kiss my brother in the middle of the hallway please and thank you!" Hermione shouted irritatingly from across the corridor, Harry laughing his ass off next to her.

They pulled apart with warm faces, (Y/N) laughing while Ron just dropped his head to his boyfriend's shoulder in shame.

"I did it!"

(Y/N) jolted from his half-asleep state under the willow tree as Ron ran towards him.

"What?" (Y/N) asked sleepily, standing up to greet his partner.

"I did it! I passed, look at it!" He held up his paper that had a red "Outstanding" grade at the top.

"Oh, Ron! I knew you'd do it!" (Y/N) smiled gently.

Ron pulled him into a crushing hug, tucking his head into (Y/N)'s neck, and (Y/N) returned it, running his hands through Ron's thick hair. Placing a soft kiss on his neck, (Y/N) smiled with pride.

Eventually Ron pulled back and kissed (Y/N) again, proud of himself and thankful for the help.

Here another one: I had a dream where I eating at a restaurant and I saw this Aquarium they had and one of the the octopus started to insult me- I start to argue back and the octopus told mw “if u don’t stfu right you little pussy bitch I’ll make you a whore for a whole 3 months” I said I’ll take my whore inspiration from you octussy- the octopus got rlly mad and turn into Ursala. I was trying to run away bc she was trying to eat me. I ran out of the restaurant but apparently bc I said ursala a whore a bunch of clownfish with legs wanted a fight- I don’t fight so I ran again and I ran into 5 10ft minions who were in the back licking cocain off the the ground - I didn’t relized that I walk into a cult and they got mad bc I walk into it and I had to run again. While running I ran into a night market where I got transported into a video game where I was stuck in a maze with a clown that was 4ft tall but if he catches you he suck on your toes. I didn’t want that but I wasn’t rlly fast at running so he caught up to me and I was drag down to the ground where he took off my shoes and started to suck and lick my toes and then I woke up

I feel so bad about not updating The Time Travelers Bear because I feel so out of touch with my own fic 😭 like I didnt update it for like 8 months and I forgot so much about it. plus I dont have any motivation to write it really. I'm gonna write for it again eventually because next arc is the arc I've been waiting for the entire time and I love it and it's probably gonna reignite my motivation for the fic but I have to write these dreaded two chapters first. I might be able to cut some stuff out and make them shorter and more manageable because jeremy wont have a role in the fic anyway and I completely forgot anything I had planned with him also 😭 I'll probably get back into the mindset once I start writing it again anyway so I might just bite the bullet. this fic is so scuffed but it was my first ever and I love it still

It's one I haven't even started posting yet. It's a Gallavich soul mate AU where the pair have special gifts centered around eye contact. Mickey can see soul mates and Ian severs soul mate connections. I'm absolutely in love with it but I'm also kinda struggling to get through it. 😭😭😭

15. What are your writing strengths?

Word limits. I love the challenge of trying to portray certain emotions or situations in a limited amount of time, and I feel like I'm really good at it. I don't have to get caught up in details, I can just make my readers feel in just a few sentences.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Pacing lol. I don't have patience, I always end up rushing my ending.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

2 situations. If the POV character doesn't speak the language, I try to limit it to things that can be easily assumed without need for translation. Expletives, nicknames, or recognizable phrases. Unless, of course, the POV character is meant to not understand what is being said. And 2, if the POV character speaks the language, I'll usually have them translate in their thoughts. I just want the reader to be on the same level of understanding as the POV character.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter. That was way back in the day. I posted my first fic in 2010. 🤣 On my current account, it was Six of Crows.

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

Hooo boy. Doctor Who comes to mind. I'm obsessed with the idea of Fourteen and Jack Harkness meeting again. I've always wanted to do something for Criminal Minds. I'll probably dip my toe into Supernatural, too. I've done drabbles for Mungrove, Harringrove, and Harringroveson, but i'd also like to do full fics for them. Idk, I've always got too many ideas.

I'm very curious to know whether the present Batfamily noticed that Jason has gone missing? I just fonished your time travelling fic the Time Before and I have so many questions! Is that something you'd even want to focus on? Mayby little Jay should stay in the past? Third time is the charm right???? But worried Bruce is soo juicy! Maybe the past and present Bruce can have an adoption war? I cant decide how I'd like this story to go haha

Ahhhhh I really need to finish that story. I actually know the answer to everything, since I had the whole thingy planned out before I started (or at least I knew the end game and had the final scene already drafted out)

I am going to happily answer everything, but I"ll put it under a break because its SPOILERS FOR THE TIME BEFORE!!!!! for chapters that will come out I have no idea how long from now. I hope soon, but I don't see any real time on my schedule for at least the next month. 😭

Seriously, this is major Spoilers don't look if you hate spoilers.

So Jason staying in the past would be super interesting just in him getting to have a second go at it and this time not die, etc, but I feel like I'd have to have him slowly lose his memory, idk. I just feel it would be weird and difficult for a self-sufficient adult (even if hes only 19 and is a certified Baby because of that, he does support himself and is completely on his own) to have to redo childhood, and be so dependent. At least he’s 9 and not like 2, but yeah. That would be hard. But the angst potential there 🥺 BUT alas, that is not the plan.

Jason is going to end up back in his 19-year-old body. The time travel body switcher device only throws a consciousness back in time for a set amount of time, and they'll know here soon the exact amount of time it is. Hal or whoever it was Bruce asked for advice is gonna be like 'oh yeah i just dealt with that stupid thing a couple months ago' and tell them it's harmless and Jason's consciousness (and Black Mask's) will go back to their original time and bodies in like 3 days or something. Or maybe I'll pick some really random number, like 62.43 hours, because "well it was programmed on [some random planet] and is going off how they measure time!"

I MENTIONED SPOILERS RIGHT, because I'm legit just gonna tell yall everything here.

So there will be a bit of angst because Hal will say something like 'well as long as their future selves are still alive they'll pop back no problem. The catch is, the future self is basically uninhabited (meaning very vulnerable). There's not baby jason suddenly up in the future. Since Jason got shot at the start of the fic, it makes Jason just think he's either gonna pop back to nothing and be dead or just never return, and he's quite upset about it but trying to hide it. He doesn't let himself go back to sleep again the whole time he's in the past.

BUT, back up in the future, a certain Batman gets a weird reading on his computer coming from Black Mask's place, and goes to investigate and finds Red Hood bleeding out and an unconscious Black Mask. He quickly takes Red Hood to the cave for treatment and gets GCPD to pick up Black Mask. He probably did something wrong. They'll find something to charge him with, even if its just shooting Red hood.

So Bruce and Alfred have Jason's body and they take good care of it and get him on the mend, but hes nOT WAKING UP!!! It's very concerning. Bruce is haggard. Idk if he finds the device black mask had or not, and if he does, he gets the same info from Hal past bruce got, too. So maybe he knows Jason is coming back, maybe he doesn't. But he keeps vigil at Jason's bedside, because despite what Jason thinks, Bruce loves him dearly. Unless im specifically writing an abusive!bruce AU, my Bruce always loves Jason dearly. It's just Jason who might not believe or understand that.

Anyway. Theres lots of tears in the past the closer to Jason's return gets, won't go into detail, but then he pops back up into the future. It just felt like he fell asleep, so he wakes up kinda groggy and feels the pain in his stomach and is like oh. so im just gonna die now. but NOPE. HE ISN'T Because Bruce is sitting right there at his bedside and they have a heart to heart 🥺 Jason is kinda forced into the conversation because obviously being a teenager he wants to jump right back to his angry i-hate-you-dad attitude but Past Bruce is still so fresh in his mind and all the good warm feelings he had he breaks pretty fast.

Then I'll bounce back to the past for like an epilogue or something and show little Jason waking back up in himself and he's being carried to bed by Bruce or something and FREAKS OUT. Absolutely goes mental. But future Jason had already told Bruce how to win Jason over by getting him books and food and talking about going to Gotham Academy so he gets won over very fast. (I think they're just gonna act like he got there and he had amnesia but social services dropped him off and does he not remember that? but he remembers everything else now??? and go from there. BbJason will see his bear and his picture and everything in his bedroom and kind of relax and think maybe they're truthful. He can at least give this home a try. They haven't hit him yet.)

And thats basically it. Everyone lives happily ever after. Baby Jason grows up to not die at 15, and big Jason moves back in with Bruce and, like, goes to college or something. Thank you Black Mask for trying to kill him, he saved everyone.

I'm Back!

Wow, so Lent is over now, so my tumblr fast is also over and I'm still a little in shock, lol. I had hoped the past six weeks? I don't know, Time is weird, would be more productive but at least I got SOME stuff written/posted. Anyway, I have one more month of school and then fucking FINALS so expect sporadic updates at idiot-o-clock hours of the night, and maybe yell at me to sleep, eat, study, or drink water whenever i do post 😅

I am up to SO EFFING MANY wips rn on so many different fronts you guys have no freaking idea 😭 so here's a status report for EVERYTHING on or going on sardonic_sprite. (Its gonna be a monster post, y'all, bear with me)

in absolutely no particular order:

Wayne4Ham: We have a LONG way to go with this one, so just be patient and I'll slowly but steadily plug on through. Aaron Burr, Sir, should theoretically take me no longer than end of april

Wayne-Crazy: there's like 4 specific requests on it, plus a few 'series' i started, but after those, say 6-7, i'll probably mark as complete and only re-open if someone offers me an idea

Batman Beginners: i'll tell y'all up front, this one will take me forever. i don't even know what all I intend to cover, but know that i'm halfway done with the DITF arc, and it'll probably come out in the next two months

Just A Kid: this was my shits-and-giggles fic that got like 3000 notes in a weekend lmao. it's something i do intend to continue bc its so fun and i enjoy the concepts in it, but i don't have plans to actively write more of it in the immediate future.

How long does it usually take you to write fics ? I feel like whenever I try to write one it takes months to even get an idea 😭 Do you have any tips on how to work on motivations ? It’s like I’ve had writer’s block for the last 2 years.

anon 😭 i feel honored that you wanted to ask me for advice 😭 so i'll try my best 😭 for me it really depends on the fic. usually if i get an idea for a fic or i get a request that i really really like, i'll rush to write the fic immediately. sometimes i'll finish a fic in one or two sittings (a couple hours of writing probably depending on the length), and sometimes i'll write a bit for the fic and then sort of abandon it because i've lost motivation. i have around 50 or more unfinished fics in my drafts, some of which will probably never get finished??

writer's block rly is the worst and whenever i'm struggling with it even for a day, it feels like weeks of not being able to write. sometimes its because none of the ideas i have are inspiring me, and i guess sometimes its just cause the words aren't coming out easily. but when this happens i try to think of something to small to write, like a timestamp for example. the task of writing a couple hundred words vs a couple thousand is a lot more doable when you're already struggling with writing. so i would definitely suggest starting small.

for inspiration or ideas for fics, i get a lot of them just by looking at pictures of who i'm writing for. if i really really want to write a soobin fic for example, but i don't have an idea, i'll almost always go to pinterest and just look. a lot of the time an idea will come from just looking at a particular photo.

another thing that helps is trying to write a new trope or au. having the loose plot or basis of a fic can help you think of how to write it. lets say i found this picture on pinterest of soobin:

and this picture gave me the idea to write a royalty au for him. so now we know we're going to do a royal setting. the next thing i would think about is whether i want it to be modern or more medieval, and for now i'm going to pick medieval. so let's say soobin is the personal guard for the princess (y/n) and we'll add in forbidden love as a trope to add conflict. so now we have the basis of the fic and the setting the trope to include etc etc, so now we can start writing.

using this process is really really helpful for me. start out with a photo, find an idea you like based on that photo and build it up from there. it can be really simple and small as well, it doesn't have to be as complicated as an entire royalty au with soobin lol

another thing i will say is the fics i post are so varied. for example yesterday i posted 3 fics: jeonghan, woojin, and sejun.

the jeonghan fic was from a request i had gotten recently and i only just started writing it and finished it in one sitting. it was a shorter fic and was just short and fluffy.

the woojin fic wasn't from a request, it was just something i wanted to write for myself. it ended up being longer and even though i started and finished it in one sitting, there was ideas i pulled from a lot of different places. the basis of the fic was inspired by woojin's song purple sky, the beginning part was slightly inspired by true beauty, and the ending came to me while writing. i think once you start writing, the fic can sometimes just come to you and flow easily until you finish it.

lastly the sejun fic was from an old request. like months old request if i remember correctly. it was half written and i had kinda abandoned it for a while, waiting for when i would get motivation to write it again. and sometimes you just have to wait until you are ready to write a certain fic again. sometimes trying to force out the words doesn't work and you end up with a result that you really hate and are frustrated with (this has happened to me a lot).

i know this was really long, but i hope it helped you even just a bit (idk whether i was actually giving solid advice or just bullshitting my way through this????) but ig the main takeaways are:

it's normal for some fics to take a long time to finish, it really just depends on the fic

start out small when you are struggling with writer's block as you are more likely to end up with a fic you are happy with (and finishing a fic and being proud of what you've written can snowball into more writing motivation!!)

if you are struggling for inspiration, try to find ideas from photos or just anything around you

it might seem like all these blogs are so active and have no problem producing fic after fic *cough yena/fairyhaos how tf do u do it cough*, but we all have our struggles and we ALL experience writer's block and have to overcome it. so don't give up and power through it, anon 🫶

For context, here's books I've been reading/ have checked out. (Since I keep vaguely mentioning them) I read kind of slow, but I'm just trying to do it more!

A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking is the one I've gotten the farthest through (about 40%). It's cute, with lots of worldbuilding and suspense and even though the main cast is small they're really memorable. Especially the main character, her inner dialogue is so silly and relatable I often read to see what silly things she'll say even in the worst situations!

The Hobbit is the book I read the second most of (like 30%). Picked it up because I heard it written like bedtime stories, episodes almost. It's what I wanted to try, and it's a classic so i started it. And i have to say the first and second chapters had me giggling SUPER HARD.

Legends and Lattes I just started today, but it might be my favorite. A low stakes fantasy book that's queer, and focuses on an orc who wants to make coffee (something unheard of)? 😭 I got 10% through in like an hour. I mean, I usually read a chapter the day I borrow a book, but I read 2 for this one and wanna keep going but i have to finish A Wizard's Guide to defensive baking before it's due next week!!!

I get so much Gideon the ninth fan art on all my feed. So much. I think Gideon herself is really cool and she's the one who inspired me to start buffing up my women. I didn't get far I the book yet though. Love her inner monologue! I am just... slow and will probably have to get back to this one when my brain fog lifts up and my comprehension is better.

Bonus

My library has a few books from my childhood I never got to finish reading due to... them being from libraries and constant moving as a kid. So also started The Magic Thief and all over to feel like a kid again- and plan to read the Secret Series all the way thru so I can see what I missed when I was in the 5th grade 💀

Got like 25% thru magic thief but.... waghhh... my other books expire so soon and I wanna try reading the higher leveled/ more in demand books before I finish it. Some of these books I had on hold for several months so I gotta read good and fast.

Mainly reading to entertain myself but if I like a sentence structure I put it in my pocket for later. >:] I also have been reading writing help books because why not. I'll just pick up any kind of those books though SOOO haven't listed them.

Hey I really love your writings I was wondering if “if I can never give you peace” is discontinued? Anyway you’re extremely talented!

Hi! I've been kinda avoiding the question — there's a bunch of similar asks in my inbox by now.

Thing about iicngyp is that it's a lot harder to write than basically all of my other stuff. It's the darkest story I work on, and it has one of the most complex main characters I've written. It also has a very specific tone that is hard to get and requires to get in the right mindset, and it's easy to fail to hit that tone. Since it's been a long time since I last worked on it, I know I'm probably going to struggle getting it right again, which makes it difficult to get back to it.

For a while I just... wasn't in a mental health state where I could use that energy on that story to be honest? I had my thesis to finish, which made the end of last year grueling, and then summer wasn't great. Good news is, I have definitely been doing better, and my creativity always spikes when I'm doing good! Bad news is, I'm starting to work next Monday and while I should have a lot of free time, I don't know yet how it's going to go and how tiring it's going to be. (But also I'm excited about it and I wrote a ton when I was going to college for my bachelor's degree so it could be a positive!).

This is a lot to say that I really really want to keep iicngyp going but I don't know when I'll be able to 😭 It's a story I love, it's a story I'm super proud of, I'm super excited about things that are going to happen in the story and I want to write them (there's something a few chapters away that was one of the first scenes I had in mind and I would love to write it and get to share it with you all).

So, uh, yeah. Not discontinued. Just... don't know what's going to happen yet. I don't even want to say that I'm on hiatus or something because I could just... finish and post a chapter and then disappear again for a few months.
