a little while after being taken in by james’ family sirius asks every teacher at hogwarts to address him as “mr potter” because euphemia and fleamont and james keep insisting he is part of the family now and he had never felt like he belonged somewhere so much as when he sat at the potters’ dining table during the last summer. mcgonagall raises an eyebrow because “no mr black—“ “potter!” “as long as you present documentation that shows the change of name i will be able to accommodate but seeing as there is none…” and sirius insists he is “a potter on all levels except legal” james is of course solemnly nodding by his side “it’s true professor, mum even packed him lunch for the train ride and dad invited him to his studio and showed him all his brewing secrets, it doesn’t get more potter than that!” they go as far as sirius not responding to his last name “mr black!” “uhm? regulus black isn’t here professor, he’s a fair few years younger, why would he be in a seventh year class?” the teachers eventually give in with the only request he please, please, writes his actual name on the NEWT papers. it’s a delightful rest of the year for sirius.

years later, they cross paths again and mcgonagall can’t help but smile “well if it isn’t mr potter”, sirius snickers before throwing an arm over remus’ shoulders “mr lupin now, actually” she is not surprised “and this time i have the papers to prove it, professor!”

I’m still throughly upset that Cassian has one of the most romantic lines in all the books and then in the following two books treats Nesta like shit.

Home girl needed to know she was worth it and be held for once in her life, but you listened to an old ass eldritch bitch who should have died in book 3 and waited until Nesta broke as a person and rebuilt herself in the image of the night court before you decided to love her.

because my parents wanted it kept secret. because i got too good at laughing and smiling and goofing around when i really want to cry.

and perhaps i’m too comfortable in my sadness

maybe i’m afraid to feel better.

but i’m not always sad.

i’m increasingly happy these days

but sadness is an old friend. and i went through so many days feeling like i was the only freak out there that felt the way i do.

so i write about my sadness.

so that, maybe, somewhere out there

someone doesn’t feel alone.

In my mind, i have already written out Mercedes and Farrah’s love story. They can’t have each other long term canonically because it doesn’t look like Farrah can sustain her lifestyle without Coach and Coach is likely not going to be happy with his side-piece and wife actually wanting each other, him be damned… but that can be played with or just ignored altogether in fanon.

Either way, i so see them having a brief, yet intense AF affair. Falling deeper by the minute when they’re together, learning to communicate with each other. In one another, finding someone who values them, supports their passions, and sees them. And then, ultimately, life being a sonofabitch they must go their separate ways. They both hate it but both know it was inevitable.

And then a silent benefactor secures a legal team for Mercedes to get her daughter and dance school back. There’s nothing leading back to who it is, but she knows. Because only one person loves her like that. Only one has ever tried to take care of her, not just have their needs taken care of…

So she sends a text off to Farrah’s burner, “i love you too”.

“i know”

She smiles and types out a final “thank you”.

“Message sent to invalid destination. Please check your number and try again.”

adrien finally realized he has feelings for marinette and keeps trying to get closer to her, but marinette keeps pushing him away and distancing herself. adrien obviously doesn’t understand why all of a sudden marinette is avoiding him. one night, he decides to transform into chat noir and visit marinette. he finds her on the balcony. he asks her how’s it going with buttercup. marinette tells him it’s not going well because she’s going through a rough patch/her life is a mess, so she decided to put her feelings on hold until it’s all better. adrien decides then that he’s going to put his feelings aside for a little bit and just focus on being a friend, so he can be there for her like she has for him. so adrien eases up a bit on the whole affection and marinette starts relaxing and hanging out with him again.
