so fourteen is just ten that has learned their lesson when it comes to voicing out the mushy feelings that they are feeling deep down thanks to the combined experience of millions of years of male brooding and pining and the experience of lesbian longing and regret

I remember being 17 and working at a retirement community. I made a casual comment to an 84 year old man about his ADHD.
He replied a very confused, "What?"
Me: "ADHD, it used to be called hyperkinesis back in the day." *proceeds to explain ADHD*
Him: *in shock nearly crying* "There is a name for it? I always thought I was broken"
Variations of this scene have played out for me again, and again, and again. The last time was less than 10 days ago.
Quirky kids who declare that they are just like me. Parents of Autistic kids in shock that I can have a "normal" conversation but still occasionally head bang in frustration. Explaining a specific learning disability, and having someone shout "That's a thing?! I was told I was stupid".
This is what I think about when I hear Semler's Thank God For That lyrics, "Hallelujah, we are all fucking weird, and there is a place for you at the table, honey, here."

Majima truly is so unbelievably funny. Goes to commit a hit but is so overwhelmed that he made a small blind lady cry he freaks out and ends up letting her work on his back /just/ so she’ll really believe he’s not a thief and wont feel scared anymore. What a guy.

A Difficult Love
I’ve thought a lot about Arnav-Khushi and I think one of the most beautifully tragic things about Arnav and Khushi is that they accomplish the most difficult in the blink of an eye, and struggle to survive the normal.
Tumblr media
Mutual attraction is a blessing, it’s so tough to find a person who feels the same for you. To find someone who burns for you with the intensity of a thousand suns. Yet for Arnav and Khushi all it took was a look. The attraction that easily fades is unshakeable, strong, as powerful as faith itself.
But they struggle to have a simple conversation. So much so that even if they inquire how the other is doing, it shakes their world.
Similarly, it takes them nothing to save the other against destiny and death a hundred times. It takes them nothing to change the other’s fates as and when they wish.
Tumblr media
Yet, they struggle to touch hands to give comfort. So much so that it haunts him why he couldn’t hug her back, and why she refuses to marry another due to a soft touch on her head.
And really, it takes them nothing to defeat death. They’re all smiles at the face of it. And it takes them everything to confess.
And the saddest part is that it is the mundane, the nothings, that make life. I wonder how difficult it would have been to navigate the normal.

Guys you’ll never believe it but I just realized that my ELA teacher got me into writing again. I’m currently making a story about 3 friends and their journey to defat the corrupt Empire they live in. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

It’s funny, the third season of Bookworm makes a big deal of Myne being homesick from being separated from her family for so long. But because of how compressed and rushed season 2 could be, it already felt like she was separated from her family because she had almost no scenes with them for episodes on end. So now it’s trying to build an emotional weight around Myne feeling lonely, but it almost feels like it’s repeating itself thanks to how jank the pacing was in season 2. Except, you know, this time it’s on purpose. And done well.

The disabled community should ratio her for this. Her follower should drop massively. The royal family declared their disabled cousins dead and didn't visit them literally ever again after insituatuonalizing them. Do a history video on that.

Joshua 2:2 Bible Study Verse Reflection
Joshua 2:2 Chapter Summary:
Two Israelite spies sent by Joshua enter the city of Jericho and stay with Rahab, a prostitute. She hides them from the king of Jericho in return for their promise of protection for her and her family during the Israelite invasion.
Joshua 2:2 in context:
1 Then Joshua secretly sent out two spies from the Israelite camp at Acacia Grove. He instructed them, “Scout out the land on the other side of the Jordan River, especially around Jericho.” So the two men set out and came to the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there that night.
2 But someone told the king of Jericho, “Some Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land.” 3 So the king of Jericho sent orders to Rahab: “Bring out the men who have come into your house, for they have come here to spy out the whole land.”
4 Rahab had hidden the two men...
Joshua 2:2 Verse Reflection:
Who is this "someone" and why does God let "someone" act against his people?
Sometimes God will use "someone(s)" who can do actions against you to test your motives and save others (ex: Rahab, Job among others and Cross-Refs: Proverbs 16:2, Proverbs 21:2, Proverbs 24:12, 1 Samuel 16:7, Luke 16:15, Jeremiah 17:10, Romans 8:27, Revelation 2:23)
In this verse, this "someone" could have been a jealous Israelite, or a random lover or hater of Rahab, or even someone extremely patriotic since only a strong emotion caused them to risk going all the way to the king of Jericho to share this news confidently. This could even have been an angel of God though this theory is most unlikely since it would have been made clear in bible.
What can we learn about God: There are likely plenty of people who are readily available for God and Satan to use for their purposes and such people in terms of morality could be willing to do immoral or unwise actions, or even moral actions that still negatively impact you but praise God since ultimately they are still under the control of God's sovereign power. (Romans 8:28)
Questions for ourselves: If you are aware of such "someone(s)" in your life, are you willing to trust in God's sovereignty that they are still under God's plan (like Judas Iscariot was under God's plan by betraying Jesus Christ intentionally)? Are you willing to forgive and pray for this person(s) like Jesus prayed "Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing?" (Luke 23:34)
Praise God for everything He has planned for us to make us more Christ-like on this earth. (Romans 8:29)
