do u have any more shark hc for the other marauders era characters?
hello YES I DO
i may have more for the others later i’ll have to do some more thinking and a lil googling BUT
JAMES WOULD BE A MAKO SHARK
mako’s are like the athletes of the shark world. they’re SPEEDY. short fin mako sharks can swim up to like 74kph (45mph) they’re very powerful swimmers and can go for long distances. they have the largest brain to body ratio of all sharks and have incredibly impressive critical reasoning and social skills. they’re so intelligent they don’t even rely on electroreception to navigate or hunt they just uses their regular senses. they’re even able to identify if a human is a threat to them or not and have been known to allow researchers they trust to hand feed and touch them. they love warm waters and prefer to live in tropical climates. they are aggressive hunters but almost never attack humans (there’s only been 8 unprovoked attacks recorded and all were non-fatal)
AND there is a video that i’ll link from last year in australia where a group of men were out on their boat fishing and the caught a mako so it jumped out of the water and flipped to dislodge the hook and then just kept zooming around and flipping out the water to show off and THAT is so james

can i request headcannons with the 141 and konig during a road trip? like a looong ass road-trip. nothing for a mission, just a little trip or vacation.
Tumblr media
ooh i just got back from a 10 hour long road trip too!
(Callsign will be ‘Shark’)
Price would be the one driving, Soap in the front, Shark, Ghost, and Gaz in the middle row, while König gets the back all to himself. Sometimes it would cycle who would be in the front with Price since they all wanted to take turns sleep.
Since König is the big bitch he is, he gets the whole back row to himself. He can ‘shooonk’ and ‘mi mi mi mi mi’ all he wants. With his pillow and pink jaguar blanket someone lent him cause he forgot his (most likely Soap’s). While Shark is stuck in the middle, stuck between Ghost and Gaz.
Price would have first dibs on the aux since he’s the driver. He’d only play songs that no one knows. Y’know the classics and his personal faves. No one gave him the aux since.
Soap would play songs that he likes, regardless of what anyone else thinks. ‘Shut up and drive’ by Rihanna, ‘Talk dirty’ by Jason Derulo, ‘Treasure’ by Bruno Mars. Will literally blast the volume at his favorite parts.
Occasionally Ghost or Gaz would yell at him to shut up, his only response being to turn the music up even louder.
“I’ve got to go to the loo..” Soap asked. Price gripping the wheel and taking an audible and long breath in and out through the nose.
“We just left THE FUCKING STOP”
During stops to restock on gas stations snacks or fill up on gas Gaz would get drinks he never finishes, it just piles up in the back. Shark got a bag of chocolate marshmallows, they later played basketball with it, Ghost’s mouth being the hoop.
Price would 100% do the dad-snack-hand from the drivers seat. While König got a whole tub of ice cream to eat in the back, just because he felt like it.
Soap actually got left at a gas station once. The car ride back to get him was quite.
Shark’s gasp made everyone turn to attention since it was so quite and their gasp sounded so alarmed. Shark leapt across Gaz’s laps and looked out the window.
“Cow!” They pointed out towards the field of cows minding their business.
“Cow?
“Woooaaah”
“COW”
König gets motion sickness very easily. Which is why he spends 60% of the car ride sleeping. But the times where he is awake, half the time he’s throwing up in a paper bag. Ghost having to throw it out while Gaz and Soap try not to gag. Shark is rubbing him on the back and giving him water to feel better :).
Gaz would sleep against the car door, a pillow between him and the door, one leg would be across Ghost and Shark’s lap and the other would be on the middle console of the front. Sometimes Soap would have to nudge his dinosaur socks out of the way.
Ghost would claim he’s not tired at all, but is always the first one to fall asleep. Arms crossed and head back while he snores like a motor boat. First time this happened Price freaked out that he was dying, choking or something, and had Shark punch him in the chest.
He didn’t feel like sleeping after that.
Eventually when he does he’d be in the same position as Gaz, but both of his legs would be across Sharks and Gaz’s lap. Hitting the opposite door.
“Would you rather fight 100 toddlers or—” Shark asked of the first thing that came to mind.
“A hundred toddlers” Soap interrupted them, no hesitation.
“I didn’t even finish the question—”
“Those kids are getting CURB STOMPED”
“No—”
Going down a long path in the middle of the night. Practically in the middle of nowhere as the only thing keeping them company was yards of grass and mice that hid in little holes for the night. Everyone was fast asleep until they felt the car shift to a stop. They all immediately looked at each other after seeing where they were stopped.
“Let’s stretch our legs, been a while” Price explained, being the first to get out, turning the car off and the key out of the ignition. They were all still confused why they stopped suddenly, but they understood that hours of driving does no good for the legs.
Price made sure to turn the head lights off too. The rest of them thought that they’d just but in the middle of nowhere in the dark but they were frozen in amazement when they saw how bright the sky is, despite it being 12 midnight.
Without all the city lights and street lights to pollute the sky the night looked so bright. Stars that were barely visible, only a dot in the sky, were now shining and bright. In the city you could only see 6-7 stars 10 if your lucky, but right now it was like you could see till the end of the galaxy.
Not a word was spoken the entire time they were out. It was beautiful but also so surreal and bone chilling seeing how much space there is beyond this world. Every star a sun and every sun had at least 5 planets. There had to be at least one other life form.
Those 20 minutes were the most quiet but calming 20 minutes of the trip. Something they shared and saw together.

༉‧₊˚. Featuring. Tonowari/Ronal x fem! Daughter! Reader
༉‧₊˚. Request From [🫧 anon]. Hi! I’ve never actually requested before, but could I ask for some really fluffy Ronal/Tonowari x child reader? Like a little kid if that’s possible like you can ignore this I’m not expecting anything and now I’m rambling woo + I’m hoping for some fluff where maybe reader made jewelry for Ronal and Tonowari (I feel like everyone I know made dodgy bead bracelets as a kid) out of shells they found in the beach? Like I can see Tonowari just like “yes, my child is so smart omg” like so happy his kid made him a necklace or bracelet or something showing it off to the clan. Ronal gets a headpiece and immediately puts it on like she’s going about her Tsahik duties being terrifying but also she’s wearing a headpiece her child made for her which is adorable but if anyone else but reader comments on it they’re going to die.
༉‧₊˚. Summary. You wanted to show your parents how much you love them, what’s a better way than to make them gifts that they could wear forever.
༉‧₊˚. General Tags. Fluff.
༉‧₊˚. Content Warnings. Threats [not towards you].
༉‧₊˚. Word Count. 1,3k.

༉‧₊˚. Notes. Thank you 🫧 for this cute request, I really hope you liked it. I decided to add Rotxo in this, hope you don’t mind. | This might be bad, I'm sorry. | I'll be working on your other requests which I love btw, the tall req, I'm already thinking of a part 2 for it, I can't wait for you to see what I've planned. | Also pls send your pronouns so I know for future reference. ☺️

➱ "Sa'nu! Sa'nu!" you run into the Marui where Ronal is making dinner with Tonowari right behind you smiling at how excited you are.
➱ “Yes ma’itetsyip, I’m right here.” She says as she steps away from the pot and brings you in for a hug which you happily return. “How was your day?” she pulls away to look at you and moves a strand of your hair behind your ear.
➱ “Sempu and I went looking for more shells and we found a lot.” Ronal smiles and stands and faces her mate as Tonowari steps in and gives her a kiss on her forehead. “Is that so?”
➱ “Mhm, she caught them all by herself.” he ruffles your curly hair which makes you laugh. “What will you do with them now that you have enough?” He looks down at you and you just smile up at him. “I can’t tell you it’s a secret.” You pretend to zip your lips and throw away the key and Ronal couldn’t help but chuckle as she looks from you to Tonowari who has a smile on his face. They didn’t know how they got so lucky to have a wonderful daughter like you, Ronal knew you’d be the best big sister to the little baby boy she was carrying, thoughts like that would bring tears to her eyes which she’d constantly reassure you were happy tears.
➱ The next day, as soon as you woke up, you put all the shells in a bag making sure you got every one of them and kissed both your mother and father before you were on your way to your spot near the beach to start on your projects.
➱ You could have stayed in the Marui but you didn’t want your parents to know what you were doing. You thought since they were hardworking people with not only the job of taking care of the people but had the job of taking care of you so you wanted to make them gifts to show your appreciation.
➱ A necklace for your dad and a headpiece for your mom, you took your time on them so they could at least look a bit presentable, you wanted them to like your gift and maybe wear it forever. As you worked on the necklace, Rotxo made his way over to you, “Hi y/n, what are you doing?” he asked as he sat down next to you, you only took your eyes off it for a second to smile at him. “I’m making gifts for my sa’nu and sempu.” Rotxo smiled back at you and fidgeted with his thumbs a bit. “Do you mind if I stay here with you while you work?”
➱ “Sure, you can keep me company.” A smile appeared on your face, it always did when Rotxo was around, he was the only friend that you found tolerable.
➱ When it was getting late and you had to head back, he’d walk you home and you would joke and laugh all the way there. The next morning, he'd been outside already waiting for you and you both would head down to what used to be just your spot and continue working on the gifts as Rotxo kept you company talking about anything that came to his mind.
➱ The day that you were finished the gifts had come and you grew nervous about finally giving them to your parents, Rotxo reassured you that they would love them and that you should make one for him as well, and that made you smile.
➱ You take a deep breath and put the gifts behind your back and walk into the Marui to find your father cleaning while your mother sat resting her feet. “Sa’nu? Sempu?” you say in a soft voice thinking they won’t hear you but in fact, they do and look in your direction. “Yes, yawntutsyip?” Tonowari smiled as he stopped what he was doing.
➱ “I’m ready to show you what I’ve been working on but first you both must close your eyes first.” They chuckle and close their eyes but before you can do anything, you notice peeking eyes. “Sempu, you’re peeking!” a giggle escaped your mouth. “Okay Okay, my eyes are completely closed.” he laughs, closing his eyes shut and you make your way over to them placing the gifts in their hands.
➱ “Okay, now you can open your eyes.” You watched as their eyes opened and looked down at their hands in awe when they saw the jewelry you made for them. “I wanted to show you how much I appreciated you for everything you’ve done for not only me but the clan as well.” You look up at your mom who had tears falling down her face. “I mean of course y’all don’t have to wear it, it probably sucks.” You looked down at the ground trying to avoid their faces but you were soon met with both of their arms around you.
➱ “Tonowari, how did we get so lucky with a beautiful talented little girl like you?” She smiles as she lightly pinches your cheeks making you giggle. “Irayo, my sweet girl, these are beautiful and we’ll always treasure them.” She brings you in for another hug as Tonowari smiles and puts the necklace around his neck. “Nothing that comes from you will ever suck,” he says as he joins the hug wrapping tightly around both you and your mother and this would be a moment that you all would remember.
➱ Okay so now let’s get into how they would react after getting the gift + someone commenting on it.
➸ Ronal
➱ The next morning she would get up and get ready to do her job as Tsahik, she smiles when she puts on your gift.
➱ She didn’t care if she was about to do a gruesome job, the constant reminder that her baby is with her wherever she goes makes her happy.
➱ She heads to the healing pod and there’s already someone injured waiting for her.
➱ She’d greet him and he'd do the same and when he finally notices the headpiece on her head, he thinks to himself what a weird thing to wear, and Ronal would notice his heavy stare. “Do you like it? It was made by someone special to me.” She would smile at him as he eyes it again and looks back at her. “It’s kind of weird don’t you think?” He chuckles a bit but goes silent when he sees the smile on Ronal’s face disappear.
➱ “If you don’t want to bleed to death, I suggest you be quiet.” she hisses and looks away from him to continue to prepare the medicinal paste leaving him to be terrified and wishing he kept his mouth shut.
➸ Tonowari
➱ The way he’d wear it with pride as he does his olo’eyktan duties, he’d even smile even harder if possible when he sees you playing with Rotxo.
➱ He’d end up bumping into an old friend of his and they would just stand and catch up when Tonowari made a joke, the friend would playfully punch him in his chest and that’s when he notices the necklace he was wearing, and laughs a bit. “Ronal’s not making A+ jewelry for you.” he laughs til he makes note of Tonowari’s stern face, glaring at him and boy if looks can kill the friend would have been dead right now and fed to an akula.
➱ The friend made a huge mistake, putting his two favorite girls in a joke that would never be funny to him.
➱ “My daughter made this beautiful necklace for me and you dare fun of it.” he steps closer as the friend steps back starting to regret his words. “I’m sorry, I didn’t-” Tonowari cuts him off with a hiss, the friend's ears lay flat on his head and his tail drooped in fear. “Leave! I don’t want to see your face ever again.” Tonowari closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as the now ex-friend quickly runs away from him. “The nerve of some people.” Tonowari rubs his hand over the necklace and a small smile comes on his face as he thinks of you.

Hi! Hope you’re having a good day/night 😊I saw your post about requests open again . I know the requests are closed right now, that you said that you’re busy at the moment and focusing on other things in your life which is very understandable. But I have a request I’m dying to send, like try your best to get to it when you can, but i know you can’t promise it will be anytime soon.
I want to ask if it’s their a chance that I want to request a Ray Manchester/Captain Man (Henry Danger) shy!reader please? His team except schwoz thinks Ray is making things up that he has a girlfriend or that shy!reader chose her hero best friend to be they godfather of their newborn son who’s a mama boy. Then Ray thought it’s a good idea bringing his team to the hospital to see his family and the team are surprised that shy!reader happens to be a powerful and legendary Sorceress (like Scarlet Witch) & popular superhero in the planet, also a stage magician. Even the villains adored her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~°~❦~°~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What is so hard to believe about me having a girlfriend?”
     Captain Man put his hands on his hips in exasperation. He looked around the Man Cave, waiting for an answer.
     The others glanced at each other, seeming to be having a conversation with their eyes.
     “Nothing, man,” his sidekick finally said, having been silently delegated to answer, “It’s just, well, you’ve never really had a girlfriend before.”
     Oh what they didn’t know, you thought. You watched Ray, your boyfriend, talk to his friends through a crack in the door leading to the Man Cave.
     These people, with the exception of Ray, had no idea who you were—or, at least they thought they didn’t—yet you knew so much about them. Ray had told you so much since you’d begun dating that you felt like you already knew his friends, even if you’d never met them.
     Your boyfriend’s voice brought you back to reality.
     “I have too had a girlfriend—Tana Sommers, fourth grade.” Ray shot back.
     “Since we’ve known you,” the boy you knew to be Henry rubbed his temples.
     “Ok, well, Evelyn Hall!”
     “You never called her back, remember?” The girl—Charlotte—responded.
     “Lacey Lumbar!”
     “She tried to steal your inventions!” That was Jasper.
     “Gwen!”
     “She tried to kill you!” Charlotte added.
     “Oh, I know,” Ray clapped his hands together, “Henry’s mom.”
     “Dude, my mom is not your girlfriend,” Henry sounded disgusted.
     “Well, not anymore,” Ray whispered.
     You found yourself absentmindedly making a fist, and looked down, unclenching your fingers carefully.
     You’d heard about Ray’s relationship with his sidekick’s mother. According to him, they’d been very serious ever since he rescued her from the jaws of a shark, until he broke it off with her shortly before meeting you. Although, knowing Ray, some of this might have been an exaggeration.
     “If you had a girlfriend—”
     Ray looked like he was about to argue again and Henry held up a hand, continuing quickly.
     “—which I’m not saying you don’t, why wouldn’t you just introduce her to us?”
     You played with the hem of your blouse.
     “She just—well, I’m not ready to introduce her to you yet.”
     You silently thanked him for not revealing your secret. You weren’t sure anyone would actually believe Ray’s reason, seeing as you’d been together for nearly a year now, but you appreciated anyways.
     The truth was, you weren’t great with meeting people. You always got all flustered and your cheeks felt hot and you never knew what to say.
     Ray was the only exception to that rule, always making you feel comfortable and safe.
     You had always been shy and you just weren’t sure if you were ready to meet all of Ray’s friends, especially all at once.
     It was ironic that you could crush a man’s windpipe just by looking at him but you feared making a simple introduction.
     Which was the other truth Ray wasn’t telling his friends, which you knew was probably killing him.
     You were kind of a superhero. The Sorceress, to be precise. You’d become quite infamous in Swellview since you’d arrived there shortly before you met Ray. You’d known practically no one when you’d arrived.
     Well, that wasn’t quite true. You and your best friend Hal had moved across the country together. He was also blessed with superpowers, but preferred to work behind the scenes unless absolutely necessary. He was incredibly gifted with technology and you were thankful for all of the gadgets and weapons he designed for you. However, he didn’t want any credit even when you assured him he deserved it.
     However, when he wasn’t donning a cape and gloves, he was the most outgoing person you knew. Always taking you out for drinks and insisting you had a good time.
     It was funny, you thought, that the two of you were so opposite. Most everyone you knew had been introduced to you by Hal.
     Except for Ray.
     Ray told everyone he’d met you at the local coffee house. Which was partially true. If you changed coffee to clock and—well, house was more of a suggestion.
     You’d met in The Time Jerker’s lair.
     Captain Man had been there for an entirely different business—apparently he owed the villain money for some reason or another—but you also happened to be chained up to a chair in his basement.
     It wasn’t an ideal situation, but it wasn’t particularly terrifying either. This had happened many times before that. The villains of Swellview had an odd fascination with you and appreciation for you and seemed to always be persuading you to change sides. You supposed it was because your set of superpowers could do an equal amount of bad as they could good.
     That didn’t stop you from refusing every time. You’d rather lose your powers than become one of the criminals who tortured the city and its occupants.
     Captain Man had rescued you that day—if rescued is what you could call it—and you had instantly enjoyed his company. You didn’t meet many acquaintances as The Sorceress and you found it wildly easier to make conversation when you had a mask on and could hide under the guise of a confident, powerful superhero.
     So you and Captain Man began dating in secret and nobody was the wiser.
     You smiled to yourself at the absurdity of two of the most known figures in Swellview keeping a secret like this.
     You knew Ray was probably dying to reveal to his friends who his girlfriend really was, but you knew he wouldn’t. Not unless you gave him the green light.
     You supposed you two would have to tell people soon, you thought, placing a hand gently on your stomach. Everything would have to change when the baby was born.
     The elevator doors opened and it caught your attention, the present crashing back down around you like a wave.
     A short man—Schwoz—stepped into the Man Cave carrying a bag of bird feed.
     “Lunch?” He held it out to the present company.
     A symphony of disgusted declines filled your ears and you chuckled quietly.
     “I’ll eat that,” Jasper said, “When Ray has a girlfriend.”
     “Ray has a girlfriend,” Schwoz said earnestly.
     “Schwoz, what have we said about lying?” Charlotte chided.
     “No really,” Schwoz insisted, “She’s beautiful and smart and she likes a animals and she has these crazy superpowers—”
     “Too far, man,” Henry said, patting Schwoz on the shoulder and walking towards the elevator.
     You breathed a sigh of relief when Henry and his friends disappeared into the elevator, leaving the Man Cave for the day. You felt bad for giving Ray’s assistant the reputation of a liar, but you couldn’t deny you were glad no one believed him. It was easier that way.
     Schwoz had seen you and Ray…together once in the Man Cave and you were forced to tell him the truth. But he was the only one that knew besides you and Ray and Hal. So far, it seemed, except for almost moments ago, he’d kept his promise and hadn’t told anyone about his boss’s girlfriend’s identity.
     “Coast is clear, babe,” Ray called to you. You left your hiding spot and entered the room.
     You walked over to Ray, smiling as he pulled you into his arms. You kissed him on the cheek and he looked down at you.
     “Now, where were we,” he whispered and leaned down to kiss you.
     He stopped just before his lips touched yours as you both heard a loud crunching sound.
     You both looked up and saw Schwoz shamelessly watching your embrace as he dug into his bird food.
     “Beat it Schwoz!” Ray shouted and the small man grabbed the bag and left, mumbling.
     Ray gave you a look as if to say, Assistant’s, am I right?, before leaning down and kissing you. You placed your hands on his chest and kissed him back.
     Your boyfriend continued kissing you, moving from your lips down to your neck and finally landing in front of your stomach.
     He placed his hands around your sides, kneeling down in front of you and planting a kiss right where you imagined your baby was. You were pretty big now, your due date fastly approaching
     “And how’s my little baby girl?” Ray cooed.
     You placed a hand on his head and ran your fingers through his hair. “And how do you know it’s a girl?”
     “Call it superhero’s intuition.” Ray said, looking up at you before pointing at your stomach, “You know, one day this is going to be my new sidekick.”
     “How will you break the news to Henry?” You asked, getting lost in the daydream of you and Ray here ten, twenty years from now. You were in the process of moving in with Ray ever since you found out you were pregnant, but this place had already felt like home for so long. Even Hal spent almost an equal amount of time here as at your apartment-turned-lair. Much to Ray’s dismay.
     “Henry’ll get over it,” Ray waved the idea away, “Besides, hypermobility? That’s nothing compared to the genes this kid is going to have with two superhero parents.”
     “What about me?” You teased, “What if i wanted to be your sidekick?”
     “(Y/n), that would never work. I couldn’t constantly have my sidekick upstaging me. It’s bad for my image.”
     “That wouldn’t happen,” you smacked him lightly on the arm as he stood up.
      “Yeah you’re right, I am pretty awesome,” Ray said with smirk and you laughed.
     “How did I get so lucky?” You said sarcastically as you rolled your eyes playfully.
     Ray chuckled before falling silent and staring into your eyes.
     “(Y/n),” he said softly, running a hand along your arm, “We are going to have to tell everyone soon, you know that right?”
     You sighed, “I know.”
     “I mean, what’s the point of having a super-hot, badass girlfriend if I don’t even get to brag about it,” Ray pouted. “‘I’m dating The Sorceress and no one even knows how cool that makes me!”
     “But seriously,” he continued, “They’re going to find out eventually if you start living here full time. And Schwoz can’t keep a secret forever.”
     “Hey!” A muffled voice reached your ears, “I heard that!”
     “I said beat it Schwoz!” Ray yelled, spinning around to find the source of the voice. You laughed, grabbing his hand to bring him back to where he’d been standing before, inches from you.
     “Alright, alright I’m ’beating it’,” Schwoz said from somewhere and then it was quiet again.
     “I think we’re getting closer,” you said, bringing the hand that was intertwined with Ray’s to your stomach. Your due date wasn’t for a few weeks but you felt like it could be any time now. “Now we just wait.”
     “I can’t wait to be a father, (Y/n),” Ray said bringing his arms around you and kissing you again.
     You smiled, letting him embrace you. How did you get so lucky? You thought, echoing your earlier sarcastic statement. That meeting what could’ve just been a friend one day in a villain’s lair would’ve turned into all this.
     Friend. That reminded you. You pulled away. “Hal’s coming by later today,” you said, forgetting about it until just now.
     “Ugh, why?” Ray mumbled.
     “Because he’s my friend and I invited him,” you said.
     Ray had this crazy idea that you were going to run away with Hal any second. No matter how many times you assured him it was just that. Crazy.
     “Well then, fine—how about I invite Henry’s mom,” Ray pouted.
     “Did you and Henry’s mom even date?” You asked him, willing to settle it once and for all.
     “We totally did!” He pointed a finger at you. “It was the epic romance of the century.”
     “Oh yeah?” You crossed your arms, smirking, “What’s her name?”
     Ray sputtered, and you laughed. He crossed his arms back at you and turned away.
     “You’re mean, you know that.” He was laying it on thick but you decided to oblige him.
     “Forgive me?” You said sweetly.
     “Only if you kiss me,” he said and you rolled your eyes but put your arms around him and placed a kiss on his lips.
     “Hey, c’mon, I don’t wanna see that!” You heard a familiar voice and turned towards the elevator, seeing Hal standing in the entryway, a look of mock outrage on his face. Where had the time gone? You’d thought it would be hours before he joined you.
     You walked over to him and gave him a hug. Ray sulked in the background and you pulled Hal towards him. Ray was impossible sometimes.
     “Say hi,” you whispered to Ray.
     “Hey Hal!” Ray said, overly enthusiastic.
     “Hey man,” Hal said, clapping Ray on the back.
     “Ow!” Ray exaggerated.
     “Right sorry,” Hal laughed, “electric currents running though my hands and all.”
     “You’re indestructible, Ray.” You rolled your eyes at him.
     “Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt,” Ray mumbled but you already turned your back to him, helping Hal get something out of the Auto Snacker.
      You were interrupted by an alarm sounding, loud and persistent.
      Ray jumped over to the computer and pressed a button, taking an incoming call from a very distraught looking woman in a jewelry store.
     Ray listened to the message and then shut the system off, moving to the center of the room and taking out his container of gum.
     “Guess this is a solo mission. See you  (Y/n), I’ll be back as soon as I can,” Ray said to you. He popped the gum in his mouth and transformed into Captain Man right before your eyes.
     “I’ll come with you,” you said, “Henry’s already gone home so I’ll go. It’s not like I don’t do this alone every day.”
     You pressed a button on the bracelet encircling your wrist and your Sorceress attire soon took over your everyday clothes.
     “I can’t let you do that, (Y/n),” Ray insisted, “Not in your condition.”
     You’d taken some time off for your pregnancy lately and Hal had been covering for you the past couple of weeks. But still, you could manage one mission.
     “I’ll be fine,” you said, “Trust—”
     You paused, feeling an odd sensation inside of you. You looked down.
     “Ray, my water broke.”
     “What?” Ray said, rushing over to you. You nodded.
      “What do—we need to—I can—we need to go to the hospital,” Ray finally said.
      “Like this?” You pointed to your superhero uniform.
     “There’s no time,” Ray said, wrapping an arm around you as if to pick you up.
     “I can take her,” Hal hurried over, throwing down his burrito. “If you need to go.”
     Ray looked over at him. “You think I can’t carry my girlfriend?”
     “Not the time, Ray,” you shot at him.
     “Right,” Ray said, picking you up and heading towards the door, “We’ll take the Mancopter, it’ll be the fastest.”
     “But what about the jewelry store!” You shouted.
     “I’ll go,” Hal said. “I want to be helpful. I’ll take care of it. Good luck, (Y/n).”
     Ray looked torn for a moment, before setting you down and quickly pulling Hal aside and saying something to him. You only caught the words ‘pick up’ and ‘under my name’.
     “Thanks so much, Hal,” you called to him, ignoring whatever Ray was saying to him as Ray rushed back towards you and direction of the helicopter.
     “Oh my god, I’m going to be a dad!” Ray shouted, as if it had just hit him, running towards you. As he ran you smiled at him, letting him lift you again as he finally placed you into the passenger seat.
     “You ok?” He asked, a worried expression on his face.
     “I’m fine,” you smiled up at him, “just fine.”
₊˚ ✧ ‿︵‿୨୧‿︵‿ ✧ ₊˚
     “So, superhero’s intuition, huh?” You said as you cradled your new baby boy in your arms.
     Ray sat next to you, stroking your arm and looking lovingly down at his son.
    “Hey, I had a 50/50 chance,” Ray shrugged, smiling. “And didn’t I say it was going to be a boy?”
     You let out a quiet laugh, looking up at Ray.
     “I love you so much,” he said, “You know that?”
     “Yeah,” you nudged him, “I do.”
     You were both silent for a moment as a nurse came in to check your vitals. Her glance landed for a moment on Ray’s clothing, no doubt surprised to see Captain Man siting on the side of your bed, before stepping out again. Your uniform lay discarded on a chair and you were grateful for the hospital gown you now wore which gave you some anonymity.
     You and Ray had gotten your fair share of odd looks and shocked glances and awed expressions as you entered the hospital. But you couldn’t seem to care now. Let them find out. You and Ray could deal with it later. Right now, this, your son, your loving boyfriend, was all that mattered.
      When the nurse left, you turned to Ray
     “You want to hold him?” You said to him.
     He nodded and you gently passed your son to his father’s arms.
      “Hey there little superhero,” he said quietly. You watched the two of them with a happiness you couldn’t begin to explain.
     After a few moments, Ray handed your son back to you.
     “Hey, you mind if I step out for a minute?” He said, “I just have something I need to do.”
     You nodded and he kissed you on the forehead before standing up and leaving your room.
     After what felt like 10 minutes, your boyfriend reentered the room.
     “(Y/n),” Ray started, walking over to you and taking your hand, “I was thinking. Since we have a family now—a family (Y/n)—which brings us so much happiness and joy, what if now we shared that joy with others? I think it’s time.”
      You nodded. “Yes, Ray. I think you’re right.”
     “Good, ‘cause they’re already all in the lobby.” Ray looked relieved.
     “Ray!”
     “I haven’t told them anything, just that I had something to share with all of them. But it is a hospital so they’re getting kind of worried.”
     You nodded again and Ray opened the door, “Hey guys, come in.”
     You braced yourself, gripping your child tighter as Ray’s friends walked in the door.
Their expressions ranged from confusion to shock to apprehension.
     Ray cleared his throat, “Ladies and gentleman, my girlfriend.”
     Every jaw in the room—with the exception of you and Ray—dropped open.
     “You’re real?” Henry said, slowly approaching your bed.
     “What he means,” said Charlotte, “is hello.”
     “Dang, she is pretty,” Jasper said.
     “Jasper!” Ray warned at the same time as Schwoz entered the room holding an ice cream cone saying, “Told you!”
     Ray gave him a look.
     “What?” Schwoz glanced at his ice cream, “I got hungry.”
     “Ray really does have a girlfriend,” Henry ran a hand through his hair, passing what looked suspiciously like a 10 dollar bill to Schwoz, before holding out his hand for you to shake. “I’m Henry.”
     “I—” You blushed and tried to find words as Ray came to stand by you, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. You took a deep breath. “I’m (Y/n). It’s nice to meet you.” You shook his hand.
     “So,” Henry said, turning his attention to your son, “Ray’s baby.”
     “God I hope so,” Ray said and you hit him playfully on the arm.
     “Well, congrats guys,” Henry said and a chorus of congratulations filled the space.
     You looked around the room. Past Jasper and Henry and Schwoz as your gaze landed on Charlotte, who was inspecting your discarded clothing.
     “Holy churros!” She said, coming to a conclusion, “You’re The Sorceress!”
     “Yeah,” you said sheepishly, “I guess I kinda am.”
     “You’re dating The Sorceress?”
     All eyes turned to Ray. “Told you she was special,” he said.
     “And I told you she had superpowers!” Schwoz said.
     Ray opened his mouth.
     Schwoz beat him to it, “Yeah, I know, I’ll beat it.”
     He left the room and you held back a laugh.
     “Well, I’m very glad to finally meet all of you,” you said. “Ray talks about you all the time.”
     “Did he say I’m the handsome one?” Jasper asked, “Because I am the handsome one.”
     “Oh definitely,” you said, amusement in your eyes as you obliged him.
     At that moment, Hal rushed in, looking frantic.
     Upon seeing you, his eyes softened and he rushed over to greet you and your son.
     “This is Hal,” you introduced him to the group, “Fellow superhero who happens to be a friend of mine.”
     “Hello little guy,” Hal said, coming around to see your child. “You’re so handsome.”
     “Again, the handsome one,” Jasper gestured to his face and you laughed. Charlotte swatted his arm, dragging him and Henry out of the room and giving you a little wave.
     You waved back, letting your friend hold the baby as Ray took your hand.
     “What is he doing here?” He whispered.
     “He is the godfather of our child, Ray.”
     Hal’s eyes snapped up. “Really? You mean it.”
     “Of course,” you said, “We’d love you to.”
     Ray smiled, sighing, “Welcome to the family!”
     You grinned so big you thought your cheeks were going to fall off.
     “And speaking of which,” Hal said, lowering his voice, “I got what you asked for. At the jewelers store.”
     What? Had Hal brought a criminal here to the hospital?
     He handed the baby back to you and then walked towards the door, passing  something to Ray from his coat pocket before leaving the room.
     “I’ll see you later, (Y/n),” he said.
     “Ray?” You asked, confused, “What’s going on?”
     Ray blew out a breath. “Ok, (Y/n), I love you very much—so much that it hurts sometimes and—what I’m trying to say is—”
     “Honey, you’re scaring me,” you told him.
     “No, uh—that was stupid, let me start over. (Y/n), I couldn’t have found anybody as perfect as you. I can’t imagine my life without you and I want to spend every second of my life with you. Except for maybe when we’re saving the city separately. Like, if you’re on one side of town and I’m on the other—and I’m not saying you can’t have friends or anything because that would be—”
     “Ray,” you said gently.
     “Right,” he knelt down, pulling out a small box “What I’m trying to say is I love you (Y/n). So what do you say? Will you marry me?”
     Tears filled your eyes as you nodded over and over again and he put the ring on your finger.
     He leaned down to kiss you and you wished you could live in this moment forever. Just you, Ray, your son, and the promise of a beautiful future together.
     “Yes, Ray,” you managed though your joyful tears, “A million times yes.”
tutoring
contains smut!! mdni
warnings: smut, giving head, fucking your professor, office sex, shitty writing ngl
pairing: alex blake x f!reader (professor x student dynamic)
summary: Alex Blake's star student needs some tutoring, which turns rather spicy
a/n: dont be afraid to reach out to me if you have any prompt/drabble suggestions, but i’m not sure when i’ll get to them since im really busy with school
read on ao3 or below the cut
For the entire year you’ve been nothing but the most perfect student. You got full marks, was never late, always turned assignments in on time, and you were actually nice to anyone who sat around you in class.
So it came to you as a surprise, when in your second year, your linguistics professor, dr. Alex Blake, told you that you might need some tutoring, so you could get ahead of everyone else in class. You had her last year as well, and to say you had a crush on her was an mild understatement. So to spend more one-on-one time with her… it was an offer too good to say no to.
It quickly became your favourite part of the week. Every Friday evening at 6:50pm, just after your last class, walking towards her office so you’d be there 7:00pm, and then leave with pain in your heart at 8:30pm, while every bone in your body was shouting at you to chat with her for just a little longer. Your ears dying to hear her voice just one more time before going to bed, your eyes wanting to look at her once more, your hands wanting to roam over her body, discovering every curve and freckle on her delicate skin.
This Friday was no different. Almost speeding down the corridors so you could get to her office a little early, so that you two could catch up just a little more before starting the tutoring.
Arriving there at 6:55, which is a record, you knocked at her door, waiting for her approval of coming inside.
“It’s open!” Her slightly raspy voice sounded muffled from where you were standing. But even that could make your knees weak. The things she would whisper in almost the same tone, just a tat more sulkier, as her hands roamed over your body, her strap made hard thrusts into your-
“Are you coming inside or not?” A voice shook you out of your daydream, as Alex Blake stood there in her doorframe, looking down at you.
“Oh yeah, uhm of course,” You franticly speak out, putting your entire linguistics education to shame.
You followed her inside, your eyes focused on her ass, I mean her walls filled with interesting books you couldn’t wait to dive into (same goes for her ass, but that’s just a tat… inappropriate).
The rest of the lesson went smoothly, as you put your feelings on the side line, and fully focussed on the things she was explaining to you.
The last couple of minutes you get a little side tracked, now talking about your hobbies, as her hand brushed past hers as you were explaining how sharks can’t get cavities and some sharks can glow in the dark.
When it finally gets to the time where you should leave, she walks you to the door. As you turn your back towards her, you hear her say; “You think I didn’t notice you staring at my ass and boobs all semester?”
Your face turns a bright red, as you slowly turn around. “Fuck,” You mutter under your breath. She walks closer, and closer to you, her hands eventually landing on her hips.
She looked down at you, her eyes filled with something that almost looked like… lust?
“Professor,” You mutter out, your hands still awkwardly on your sides. “Tell me you don’t want this, baby,” She whispers, her hot breath brushing over your ear as she moves closer to you.
“Please, I want this,” You whisper out, your voice raspy from desperation.
“Good, then it’s Alex or mommy for you, pretty girl,”
Just as those words left her lips, she pushed them on yours, absolutely taking your breath away. It was soft, but she was also so dominating. It was everything you’ve ever dreamt of, and more. Way, and way more.
Alex pushed you backwards until she has you pinned to the door, her hands now roaming close to the bottom of your sweater. Your hands moving to tangle into her brown hair that was framing her face. “You sure you want to do this, baby?” The professor said as she pulled away.
You desperately nod your head, as your hands attempt to pull her face closer again.
“No, darling, I have to have vocal consent,” her hands played with the bottom of your shirt. “I- please, Alex, I need you so bad, please mommy,” The moment she heard that last word leave your lips, she pushed her lips to yours again, sliding her tongue into your mouth, exploring every single centimetre that she could reach. Her hands slipped into your sweater, discovering every curve until she reached your breasts.
Her lips travelled south, softly biting your neck. “Gosh, you’re so gorgeous for me, baby,” her voice radiated a warmth through you, that ended up all the way into your pussy.
She bit into your skin, making you let out a soft moan. “Please, mommy, I need more,” You pant out, your hands pushing her head down. “Shhh baby, I’ll get there, I promise,”
Her teasing didn’t seem to end, leaving a countless amount of hickeys and bite marks all over your neck.
Finally, after what seemed both hours and seconds, her hands grasped onto the sweater. “Can I take this off?” The brunette looked into your half closed eyes, her eyes filled with nothing but love and need. “Yeah, please,” the words came harder than you ever could’ve expected.
Finally, she took off your shirt. She stood there, allowing herself to take in this moment, cause who knows when the next time will be when she can see you like this (which will most likely be next Friday, if not sooner).
Your needy hands pulled onto the rim of her shirt. “Off,” you murmured. All Alex just did was grant you a smile and the little nod that allowed you to pull the shirt over her head. Your eyes scanned over her body, desperate to remember absolutely everything about her. Every freckle, curve and ‘imperfection’ that was scattered over her skin.
“You done staring, baby?”
“Mm, you’re really pretty,” you whisper, as your hands wander over her exposed skin.
“Oh, well thank you baby.” She kissed the tip of your nose, making you let out a small giggle. “I think you’re really pretty as well.”
Her hands slide towards your ass, “Take them off, please,” You practically beg.
“Your wish is my command,”
She quickly pulled down your trousers and underwear, throwing it somewhere on the floor. The linguist picked you up with ease and carried you to her desk, where she put you on.
The brunette immediately dove into your pussy, eating you eat like it was your last meal. Her tongue lapping up your juices.
It was just embarrassing as to how close you already were. Your thighs were shaking, you back arching and your hands pushing her head impossibly closer to where you needed her the most. “Mommy, I’m so close, please,” You moan out.
“Are you coming inside or not?” A voice shook you out of your daydream, as Alex Blake stood there in her doorframe, looking down at you.
Hot Rage and Cold Tears
warnings: self harm, and a bit of angst.
pairing: wednesday x gn!humantorch!reader
note: thank you for the request :^). If anyone of you guys are struggling with self harm, please know it will get better. I know it sounds stupid, coming from someone who’s never experienced it, but please, please know you’ll be okay. It’ll take time.
note 2.0: I did deviate a little from the start, instead it’s in a classroom. hope u enjoy <3 and I tried out a gender neutral reader! there’s like two uses of r’s pronouns and it’s only for a split second, so if you prefer she/her or he/him, you’re totally able to just ignore it :^
—————
As you walked down the hallways of Nevermore Academy, stares of disapproval and disgust followed your every more. Your skin was practically boiling, and it would be soon if you didn’t get a grip. Taking deep breathes to remind yourself to calm down, you continued your walk to the quad.
Whispers and gasps filled your ears, your headphones doing nothing to block them due to an unfortunate case of super hearing. You sighed, grumbling angrily and glaring at anyone who looked your way — which was everyone.
Then, finally, you picked up what they were saying.
“Look at their arms.”
“Do you see those marks, too?”
“What did they get beat up or something?” A boy snickered to your right.
Then it hit you like a freight train, you’d forgotten your flannel. At first, you were simply upset because the outfit simply didn’t work without the green piece, but then, you were more upset by the fact that everyone was seeing your marks. You gulped, fists clenching hard, knuckles aching. The familiar feeling of rage and anger flooding through your body. A vile image of you simply decking the boy and shattering his ribs crossed your mind, multiple times, each with a different ending. A shaky breath left your mouth, and you were about to turn back, hide away in your dorm, but a rough hand dragged you into an empty classroom.
With a loud yelp and gasp, you trip over yourself, stumbling into the dimly lit room.
“Who the fuc—“
A blur of black stalked fast towards you, seizing your arm. The grip was contrary to what you would’ve thought — rough, callus, coarse — but it was simply gentle.
You gulped, teeth gritting together afterwards in anger. She was like a damn shark, Wednesday was. Instead of smelling blood — which you hadn’t actually ruled out, yet — she smelled fear, so you desperately hid yours. Of course you weren’t scared of Wednesday herself, you’d gotten past that stage in your friendship, you were afraid of her reaction.
Wednesday gulped, dropping your arm. She didn’t say a word, instead she took off her baggy sweater, tossing it to you. You pulled it over your shoulders, the soft material grazed against your sore arms.
You both sat there for a bit, you chipping at your red nail polish, and Wednesday gritting her teeth as she thought. After a couple shaky breaths — from who you weren’t entirely sure — Wednesday spoke up.
“You could’ve told me,” she softly admitted. It’s completely different from the usual cold tone she held, this time something akin to shame and sadness filled her voice.
You nodded, blinking once or twice before ultimately shaking it. “I don’t have to burden this to you, Wednesday. Telling people only makes them worry, and they don’t need to.”
“They do though,” she argued. “You’re hurting and you won’t inform anyone of this. I won’t — I can’t stand the thought of what you do when I leave you alone at night.”
You wrung your hands out anxiously, sneakers taping against the stoned floors. A metallic taste filled your mouth and you blinked in surprise, gently raising your hand to your lips.  They returned a bright red. You licked over them, ignoring the splitting pain from the gap. You must’ve bitten through it, you gathered.
Popping them, you finally answer her. “It’s my problem, Wednesday, don’t need you getting in my business.”
You shamefully kept your eyes to the ground, knowing that you didn’t have the balls to face her. The next thing out of Wednesday’s mouth is a chuckle, which no doubt about it,  shocked you.
“I cant help it when I get visions.”
Your eyebrows pinched together, and you glanced back at her despite your inhibitions.
“You haven’t touched me, I made sure of it.”
“Maybe so, but Enid stole your jacket. Enid likes to touch me, naturally her jacket brushed against mine. Since it truly belonged to you, I got — vile images.”
You gulped, knowing she must’ve saw some pretty dark stuff.
“I know you use your powers to burn yourself, but what I don’t know, is why.”
You nodded. “Right, well, have fun. You do like to solve crimes, I’ll just be on my way.”
You flashed a fake smile, unfolding your legs as they pushed you up off the floor.
“Sit.”
You sat back down, pouting. You’d take whatever useless speech she was going to give over the thought of disobeying her. Maybe you still hadn’t gotten over your fear of her.
Wednesday hopped off the desk, sitting down next you. Silence filled the room, suffocating you and draining the life from you, almost like a Dementor. Hands wrapped around your waist, and you realized that Wednesday had hugged you. Defeatedly, you laid your head on her shoulder. A shaky breath left your mouth.
As if someone broke the bottle you held your emotions in, everything shattered. You buried your head into her shoulder as you sobbed, hiccups and gasps followed by shoulder shakes erupted from you. Wednesday only held you tighter, one hand threading itself in your hair as she whispered to you.
You couldn’t focus on what she was saying, but the muffled voice you recognized as hers helped you not fully break. Her voice was almost acting as trusty duct tape, patching you up temporarily, until she could fix you properly.
At some point in your crying, you unraveled, telling Wednesday your darkest thoughts and your darkest times. She took it all in, encouraging you along the way, calling you strong. You certainly didn’t feel strong because here you were, sobbing like a child.
Wednesday sighed, pulling you tighter into her, and up onto her lap. Usually, she hated comforting people, but she found that this oddly came… natural to her. It was like this sudden instinct to protect you, and care for you, just suddenly bubbled up and overwhelmed her thoughts of discomfort. It was scary for Wednesday, but it was also fulfilling. She wanted to help you in anyway she can, and if that meant skipping her classes to comfort you, then so be it.
Flames flickered at the tips of your fingers, your emotions becoming too strong. You stumbled away from her, staring at your hands in fear.
“Go. Please, Wednesday, I do — don’t want to hurt you.”
Wednesday simply walked back to you, even as you shuffled away. When you reached the corner of the room, she crouched down, holding out her hands.
“Breathe.”
You trembled, shaky breaths following as you desperately tried to follow her lead. It didn’t work, though, because soon enough the fire started traveling to your palms. Breathing felt scarce again, being sucked, and sucked, and suckedout of your lungs. Your mouth felt dry as a desert, and the only thing cool was the tears on your face.
Wednesday held your neck, staring into your frightened eyes.
She took in a deep inhale, and so did you. She breathed out, so did you.
“Focus on me.”
And you did. You let the thoughts of hurting her go away, only focusing on black hair and warm eyes. You breathed out again, not in sync with Wednesday. Your lungs now working properly, sucked in air greedily, both of them working hard to fill your blood back up with oxygen. Your hands cooled down, and you slumped, eyes flickering closed.
Wednesday breathed in relief. She got up, checking the hallways and making sure they were clear. When she was absolutely positive the two of you would run into nothing, Wednesday hiked your sleeping body up to her dorm.
Hope filled every bone in her body, leaking into her face as she smiled. Dimples arose, and she knew this battle would be far from over. But she also knew that it would be okay, scars would fade overtime and you’d be better. Wednesday’s mind was flooded with images, each one containing hopes for your future, hope that’d you come to live your powers and yourself.
As Wednesday set you under her covers, she knew she’d be by your side every step of the way.
Special
TW: This gets a bit heavy in the first half! Lots of angst! @afloofwithmultipleinterests helped me with a tease uwu
Summary:
Moon’s having thoughts about himself. Does he really matter? Is he special? Why do people prefer Sun over him? As he sits alone in the dark with nothing but his thoughts, Ana comes to find him and talk to him. To help her pup’s mind out of the dark.
Silence. Darkness.
Not a single noise disrupted this night.
One would almost consider it peaceful. But Moondrop considered it…lonely. Silence could be deafening. Moon’s mind was pounding.
He sat on the back of a bunny cart, the carousel absolutely still for the night. Not broken, it was just fixed.
Moon had come out to the daycare playground. The carousel was the main attraction, which made everyone want to visit.
Moon wanted to sit and stare at the stars. It was the only time and only way he would be able to. But it was a cloudy night, the stars and the actual moon were hidden behind them.
Moon sighed and raised his arms behind his head, trying to ignore the inner voice berating him in his head. But it just seemed to get louder and louder the longer the silence went on.
Sitting out here when you have patrols.
It’s the only thing you can do right and here you are! Staff is right, you are useless.
Can’t even do naptime right. Look at yourself! What kind of caretaker looks like THIS?! Moon flinched, his hand going up to his faceplate to feel it. The wide smile on his face, sharp shark like teeth, he could see the light from his red eyes glowing against his arm. Moon growled a bit and pulled his nightcap over his face.
Oh yes! Growling like that is perfect…for scaring the kids, for making them hate you. For making them run straight to Sun.
What good are you?! You can’t protect anyone, you can’t keep anyone safe, look how easily you were infected by that DAMN virus! Everyone either thinks you’re creepy or dangerous. You. Are. Nothing.
Moon curled up on the bunny cart, bringing his knees up to his chest and hiding his face in his arms.
“Moonberry?” Moon flinched at the voice calling his nickname. He peeked over his arms, seeing the familiar sea green eyes of his mother glowing slightly in the dark. She couldn’t fit inside to get to him, but her long neck snaked past a few bars and characters to get as close as possible. “Whatcha doin out here by yerself?” Ana asked, gently tilting her head. Moon was quiet for a moment. He swallowed down the imaginary lump in his imaginary throat.
“I just…needed to be alone for a bit…”
“...Do you still want to be alone..?” Ana asked carefully. Moon looked off to the side. After a moment, he shook his head, face still buried in his arms. “Think you can come a lil closer then..?”
Moon nodded and then slowly slid off where he was seated and moved to a chicken cart closer to his mom. Ana watched him as he went into his previous position. Her ears lowered in worry. “Alright…what’s wrong Moonberry?” “....” Moon sighed again. “I’m useless…”
Ana blinked, taken back by that. “What? Where did that thought come from?”
Moon gave a shrug. “Moon…” the dragon hound gently warned. “Come on, you can tell me anything…”
The starry daycare attendant quickly wiped the tears he felt threatening to spill. Unlike Sunny who would cry when he was alone, Moon didn’t cry at all. He tried not to. Monsters didn’t cry…right? “Everyone just sees me as a monster. The kids are scared of me, the staff thinks I’m dangerous. I’m just…I’m so tired of it…”
Ana lowered her ears. That had seemed to hit her pretty hard as well. Moon continued on.
“On top of that I just…I don’t think I can really do anything around here. I was supposed to be a protector and a caretaker, but once I got infected I…I couldn’t even do that…so many kids lost and it was all MY fault! I let Carlyle down!”
“...Moon-”
“Maybe Sun would be better off without me…” “Now you stop that right there, mister!”
Moon jolted a bit at the sudden firmness to Ana’s voice. “I ain’t gonna have that. You know just as well as I do, Sun would be devastated without you. And so would I.”
“...But I’m just a monster…” Ana shook her head, using her paw to lift Moon’s head toward her gently. “No, yer my Moonberry. Yer Sunny’s brother and best friend. You may act like a mischievous lil gremlin but ya ain’t a monster hun.”
Moon averted his gaze. He knew she was trying to help but…it was hard to believe her words. Ana sighed, seeing her affirmations weren’t working too well…
“Moon, sugarstar, I know it hurts…but I also know you. You are a protector. You do yer absolute best to make sure Sun feels safe and happy. Just as you do with everyone.” “But…but all those kids…” “It wasn’t yer fault. It never was. You had no control, remember? You weren’t yerself and I know it didn’t leave you yerself…you had no control of that glitch honey…” “But… the staff…” “Know literally nothing. Not the Moon I know. Not the Moon who I’ve seen do anything for those he cares about.” Moon stared at his mother. He held her paw against his faceplate. She waited for him to say something but he was quiet. So she went on, all while gently stroking his cheek with a finger. “Moon…Do you remember the day we met?” Moon froze a moment and looked up at her in question. He wasn’t sure where she was going with that but…his curiosity peaked. “Y-yes…It was after I chased Marie when I thought she stole some kids…I found you two under the pizzaplex, hiding and just…trying to eat and survive.” Ana nodded. “And do you remember what you did? Every day during yerr patrols?” “...I brought you leftovers from the concession stands and snacks that Sun made for you…just so you had something, anything to eat.” “Exactly. Would a monster do that?” Moon’s eyes widened. He looked down…and shook his head. “You not only did that, but you kept us a secret. As best as you could at least, until Sunny found out later.” She chuckled lightly. “You didn’t have to do any of that. You were mine and Marie’s savior for a while…You boys are definitely my savior.” “Huh…?” The night time animatronic questioned, looking back up at her. “What…What do you mean?” Ana smiled at him, lowering her head to lightly bonk foreheads with him. “Before I met you boys, I was a very bitter person. I wasn’t happy when I was human. I lost my life to those men and…that angel turned me into this all because I said I hated my kind. Once Najada found me and I became friends with Marie…I was appreciative, sure. But you saw how I was when you came down that vent…” “Hehehe…” Moon chuckled, looking down. “Yeah…you took months to open up…” “And I wish I had a lot sooner.” Ana chuffed, booping noses with him. “But when I finally got to know you boys, and I adopted you, every moment I’ve spent with you has been the best moments of my life, between both of them, I wouldn’t give up what I have now for the world. And that’s after being treated like a monster, being labeled a beast of wrath and vengeance.” “You’re not any of that though! You’re sweet and kind and strong, you keep us safe and happy and-” “Yer the same way.”
Moon stopped at the interruption, he looked up at his smirking mother and squinted at her. “...You told me that so you could turn compliments on me huh?” “See? Yer so clever you figured that out right quick!” Moon snorted, chuckling as Ana licked his faceplate. He gently pushed her muzzle away.
“I’m serious though, I’m better because of you and Sun. You boys pulled my heart out of the cold and dark. I think that’s pretty special.” Moon smiled at that, hugging his mother’s face as they touched foreheads again. He still felt something eating at him. “But Sun…”
“Hm?”
“Everyone likes Sun so much better and I…” Moon felt horrible for saying it. “...Are you jealous…?” Ana asked gently.
Moon’s breath hitched as the tears finally fell. He hiccuped and sobbed softly, not looking at Ana. The dragon lowered her ears, she sat up on her haunches and gently scooped Moon into her arms and held him close to her chest. Moon buried his face into her fur, sobbing against her. “I-I’m sorry…! I don’t mean to feel this way but I can’t help it…! Everyone praises Sun! Staff doesn’t like either of us but-but they still prefer him over me! They’re all so scared of me! What makes him so special?! What makes ME special?!” Ana’s eyes softened on her pup and his angry hurt words. She hummed. “What makes you special? I could make a list millions of miles long…and it still wouldn’t be enough to describe everything I love about you, Moonberry…” Moon sniffed, pulling away to wipe his eyes. “You-you’re just saying that cause you can’t actually think of anything…” Ana raised a brow at him and smirked. “Actually I was trying to spare you but if you really want me to start listing things off…” she moved him in her arms and cradled him, starting to kiss and lick his face as she spoke. “Yer sweet.” A kiss. “Yer clever.” A lick. “Yer able to stay calm in intense situations.” A nuzzle to the nose. “Quick on yer feet, more flexible than a rubber hose, and don’t think I haven’t seen you dancing on yer wire. Yer damn good at that.” She attacked his cheek with a barrage of kisses, hamming up a few “Mwah!”s
Moon couldn’t stop the giggles that bubbled up out of his voice box.
“Maaaahahahaaam!”
“Ohhh that’s right! The lil rasp to your voice and giggles just makes you sound extra cute and bringin em out just makes you so much more adorable~!” Ana cooed, nuzzling his cheek now. Moon giggled more, feeling her whiskers teasing his crescent.
“Okahahay! Mahahahaaaam! I gehehet ihihit!”
Ana chuckled as he placed his hands on her muzzle but didn’t even try to really push her away.
“What? But I haven’t even scratched the surface!”
Moon snickered, hugging her muzzle. The love from his mother started to warm him up…At least a little. As he rubbed under his mother’s chin, he sighed.
“I still feel bad for being jealous of Sun…”
Ana hummed with a nod. “Well sugarstar, maybe that’s something you both need to sit down and talk about.” Moon nodded sadly. “I know…I’m just…scared…”
Ana flicked her ears back, tilting her head lightly. “Has he heard any of this?” Moon shook his head. “No…I’ve blocked him from hearing or seeing anything for now. Pretty sure he’s still sound asleep…I didn’t want to hurt him or scare him…I wish it was easier to tell him but…”
“Scared of his reaction?” Ana asked gently, earning a nod from Moon. “Well, I know it’s a real fear, hun, but…Sun loves you. Yer best friends, twins, a team. Ain’t a thing that can truly come between you two. You just need to talk. Both of ya…yer yin and yang. One can’t be without the other.” “...Will you be there?”
Ana lowered her ears a bit. “I can be nearby…but don’t think I can do much else while y’all are talkin to each other in yer head.” Moon sighed and nodded. He knew she was right. He just wished this was easier.  “Okay…Thanks mom.”
“Anytime honey. Do you wanna head back?” Moon looked up at her then lowered his gaze, he cuddled into her fur and nodded. “I guess so…” Ana firmed her lips as she moved Moon to sit on her back. “Tell you what, let’s get back to the loft and then, we’ll put a smile back on that handsome face of yers.”
Moon snorted lightly at the comment. His mother being a mother…it still got to him. “Sure mom…” he agreed, not quite catching onto her plan.
Ana hadn’t wasted a moment. She carried Moon back to the daycare. As she moved closer to the ballpit, she turned her head to look over her shoulder. “Hang on tight, sugastar.” Moon nodded, gripping onto her mane as she crouched down like a cat preparing a pounce. Then she leaped up into the air and onto the balcony, tail dangling off of it as she ducked her head and strolled the rest of the way in. The dragon proceeded to fix up the little nest she had of blankets and pillows and an old small air mattress Marie had dragged in so the boys would have somewhat of a bed. Sun patched it up, and they were surprised yet glad to see the pump still worked.
 Ana hummed at the nest in approval, she looked to the arcade machine in the corner and rubbed her head against it as if to greet it before moving her neck to pick Moon up in her jaws by his middle. She went to place him on the nest but held him over it for a moment. Moon blinked and turned his head to look up at his mother. “Mom-?ACK!” She gently dropped him safely into the nest, the extra padding keeping the bot from making much of a thud or harming him. He couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Hehehey!” Ana chuckled, plopping herself down beside him. “There’s a bit of a laugh. Let’s see if we can keep it going.” Moon stiffened at those words. Keep it going…? Uh oh. “Wh-wh-what do you mean?” Moon asked nervously, watching his mother’s arms move to either side of him.
“Oh as if you don’t know~” Ana cooed. “How do I always cheer up my boys?” The nap attendant gulped, more nervous giggles bubbling out of him. “M-mahaham, come ahahan!” “What is it, Moonberry? Yer gonna tell me you don’t want it?” Moon shifted his eyes back and forth, he whined and pulled his cap down over his face. “That’s not faaaair!” Ana chuckled, lowering her head to nuzzle the pointy nose still poking out. “Does my Moonpie want tickles or not~” She got another whine. “Mmmm…please…”
Ana hummed a chuckle as she made sure he was comfortable. Moon giggled from anticipation alone.
“So giggly already, my sweet lil Moonberry loves this game huh?”
“Shhuhuhuhut uhup! Dohohon’t tehehease!”
“I’m not doing anything gigglebot~!”
But she was and she knew it. Sun loved when she got silly, playful, whenever tickles were made into a game. Moon? Moon loved when someone got him going with a stream of sweet teases, kind words and affirmations. Paired with actual tickles, it was the perfect way to melt the seemingly stoic night time animatronic.
Moon snickered, kicking his feet and hiding his face so she couldn’t see the purple glow that dusted his cheeks. Though that didn’t mean she didn’t know it was there.
Ana then proceeded to gently wiggle her fingers against Moon’s sides. The nap attendant immediately squawked and squirmed.
“Kkhkhkhkhkh! Mahahahahaaam! No! Nonohohohoho! Nohoho fahahair!”
“Yer the one leaving yerself open, sugastar!”
She trailed her paws upward toward his arms.
“W-wahahait! What are-ahare you DOHOHOHOING?! GYEEEHEHEHEEE! N-nahahat thehehehere!!”
Ana chuckled as she teased the ball joints and wires that poked out from under his arms. Moon tried to lock his arms down on reflex but Ana’s paws weren’t budging.
“Tiiiickle tickle tickle~” Ana purred. “My sweet giggly lil bat~”
“Pfft! I-ihihi’m nyaahahaat a bahahaat!”
“Really? Are you sure? Yer as squeaky as a bat. I’ve seen ya hanging upside down like one. You love the night, and I know I’ve watched you eat a bug like it was a piece of chocolate.”
Moon shook his head. “N-nyooohohoho…”
He finally peeked out from under his hat. Only to see his momma lift his left arm and nuzzle the paneling under his upper arm. Moon screeched and cackled. He twisted his body a bit and kicked his legs.
“That sounds like a bat screeching to me, sugar.” Ana teased, releasing his arm and letting him lock them down and hug himself around his chest.
“Srnkhkhkhkh…you…you buhuhuhully.” Moon giggled, his smile only growing goofier as Ana cupped his cheeks. She kissed his nose and trailed one finger along his chin, the bottom of the crescent and booping a couple craters. Moon let out a barrage of squeaks and giggles with a few loud squawks here and there when her claw wiggled in a crater.
“Listen to you~! My big bad night guardian squeaking like the cutest lil bat in the starry sky~!” Moon giggle-whined, trying his best not to curl up. His family knew how to make him feel small, precious, special…they were able to melt away any bad thoughts and let him know just how good he was. “M-mahahamahahaaa!” “Yes Moonberry?” “Khkhkhkheehehehee! S-Sohohohomewhere ehehehelse!”
Ana smiled down at him as she pulled her paws away. She easily recognized that as a plea for more tickles. She knew her boys after all.
“Alright hun, where next?” Moon whined. “Dohohon’t make me sahahay!” Ana laughed a bit. “Alright alright, I won’t. How about…” She rested her paw over his belly. “This a good spot?”
Moon flinched, squeaky raspy giggles flooding out of him. He nodded quickly, twitching underneath his mother’s paw. “Ready?” “Nyooohohohoo…?” “No? So I absolutely shouldn’t do this, yea?” She wriggled her claws lightly. Moon let out a yip and broke into laughter, wiggling under the claws which only seemed to help the tickles. Ana laughed with him, more than happy to see her quieter pup having so much fun. “Geez Moonie, I don’t have to do anything do I? I can just keep my claws curled like this and yer squirming will tickle you enough huh?”
“I-I cahahahan’t hehelp ihihit! Gyah! Mahahaham! Tstststststsss!” Moon hissed through his teeth, the sprinkler laugh only getting Ana to join him again in the joyful laughter. “Well how about I try this?” She asked, taking both her paws and gently scritching at his lower belly on either side. Moon sputtered, throwing his head back to release a loud squeal followed by cackling. He kicked his legs, hands on his mother’s paws though making no effort to push them away.
“AAAHAHAHAHAAA MAAAHAHAHAHAAAAM OHOHOHO NYAAAHAHAHAHAAOOO!! THAHAHATS SOHOHO BAHAHAAAAD!” “Is it? Funny, yer not really trying to stop me, Moonberry.” She smirked at him. She let out a playful gasp. “Oooh! Are you having fun~?” “SHUHUHUHUUUSHSHSHSHSHSHH!!” Moon reached right back up to pull his hat back up over his head. Ana hummed a chuckle. She kept one paw crawling and skittering like a spider around his belly, leaving Moon a giggling mess. “Tickle tickle little star~” Moon flinched when he recognized that tune. “W-Wahahait! Mom! Mahaham dohohohon’t!” Ana grinned at him. One thing neither of her boys could stand were the nursery rhymes. Ironic for some daycare attendants eh? “Moooon~ It’s rude to interrupt,baby. Let me try that again. Ahem..
Tickle tickle little star~
How I wonder where yer giggles are
Up yer sides, across yer ribs,
Up yer belly, and top yer shins
Tickle tickle little star,
I know where yer giggles are~” Moon squealed and cackled, pulling himself in a sitting position and flopping back down. He curled onto his side hugging himself as Ana pulled her paws away to let him take a moment to calm down. “You okay Moonberry?” Moon nodded, still giggling. “You-Yohohou are sohohoho mehehehean…” Ana chuckled, leaning her head down to nuzzle his cheek. “Sorry honey, do you want me to stop? Didn’t know that would get you so bad.” Moon peaked up at her and shook his head. “N-No…” Ana smiled in amusement, brow raised at her baby. “No? You boys are such gluttons ya know that?” Moon huffed. “Am not…” “Whatever you say, sugarstar~” Ana chuffed, nuzzling his belly, right over the dent. Moon squeaked, melting into more giggles as he sat up again and hugged his mother’s face.
“This lil dent gets you boys so bad huh?” “Snrkhkhkhkh! M-Mahahahaybehehe…” the night animatronic tittered. Ana smirked and flicked her tongue out just as a snake would. Moon let out a squeal, kicking his legs and pushing at her nose. “Pffftheheheheheee! Khkhkheheh, thahahat’s cheheheatihihihing!”
 Ana chuckled lovingly, letting him release her as he laid back down. “Want me to try the same thing I did with Sunny?” She asked. Moon looked off to the side in thought and nodded shyly. He kicked off his slippers, watching her fluffy tail snake around and coil around his ankles. Moon squeaked and scrunched his toes. The anticipation was bubbling in his belly. “Nervous Moonberry?” “A-A little…” Moon admitted, never taking his eyes off that fluffy tip. He knew how Sun reacted. Moon’s feet were just as bad if not worse. “You know what to do if it gets too much.” Ana assured, kissing above his nose and between his eyes. Moon nodded and took a breath. “I’m ready…” Ana nodded, dusting her tail over the bottoms. Moon yipped and immediately tried to yank his feet back. “WAIT WAIT WAHAHAHAHAIT!! GYAHAHAHAHAHAHKHKHKHKHKHHHH MAHAHAHAAAAM!!” He tried to kick his legs out but Ana had him in a good hold while the fluff danced over his blue starry sparkle paw pads. He turned his torso to hug a pillow and laugh into it. Ana chuckled with him. “Alright honey…get ready!” She flossed the fur through his toes, catching Moon entirely off guard despite the warning. “NYAHAHAHAHAAAAA!! OHOHOHO MY GAHAHAHAHAAASH! NONONOOOHOHOHOOO THAHAHATS AHAHAHAHAHAWFUHUHUHUHUUUL!! GYAHAHAHAHAHEEHEHEHEHEEE!” Ana shook her head with a smile at her pup cackling his head off. She kept it up though, despite how much he squirmed and screamed. He still hadn’t given the sign to stop. Just as she had done to Sun, she released his ankles and skittered her claws gently across the pads and little toe beans. Moon squawked loud enough to put a screaming seagull to shame. He let go of the pillow he hugged onto and wrapped his arms around himself. “MAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAM!! PFFTKHKHKHKHKHEEEHEHEHEHE! YOUR-YOUR CLAHAHAHAHAHAHAAWS! EEEEEHEHEHEHEEE!! NYAHAHAHAHAHAOOOO!” She started scratching between his toes and finally, Moon fully broke. “BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!! NONONONONO!! NYAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAOOOO!! OKOKOKOKAHAHAHAHAY!! RED! REHEHED MAHAHAM REHEHEHEHEHEEEED!” And just like that, it ended. Moon gulped down breath after breath, even if he technically didn’t need it. His giggles slowly died back down until he was simply making happy tired murps. His fans turned on high making it sound like he was purring, especially as Ana gathered her sprawled out pup and held him to her. “Better Moonpie?” “B-behehetter…hehehe…l-lohohove you mahahamahaha..” “I love you too, sugarstar.” She smiled, licking his nose. She gathered a few blankets, wrapping them around him like a cocoon. Moon nuzzled into the coziness. “Moondrop.” “Yea mom..?” Moon yawned. “You know yer my special lil moonberry yea?” Moon blinked and looked up at her. “And you know nothing would ever change that?” Moon felt himself tremble from her words. He giggled a little, he wasn’t sure if it was phantom tickles or if he was just…really happy and comfy. “I do…but, I think I need to be reminded sometimes…” Ana hummed and nodded. “I would be more than happy to do that…and I’m sure Sun would be happy to remind you how much you mean to him.” Moon snickered. He laid his head back down, he and Sun would certainly have to talk later…a lot happened tonight. But for now, Moon was tired. Soon the lights would come on and Sun would be out. He yawned again. “Mom..?” “Yes hun?” “Stay with me?” Ana softened her eyes on him. She curled her body around the both of them. “I wouldn’t leave you for anything in the world…either of you.”
Moon smiled at her promise and finally, he felt safe enough to doze off and rest. He had everything he ever needed…
Get to Know Me ✨
Thanks for the tag @chinzhilla! I was looking for an excuse not to write.
Do you make your bed? I wouldn’t dare. My dog sleeps there when I’m at work.
Tumblr media
What’s your favorite number? 8. No idea why.
What is your job? Registered dietitian
If you could go back to school, would you? I would love to go back to college just to learn new things—maybe take some language or creative writing classes—but I certainly wouldn’t want to pay for it and I have no desire to change careers. I hate that they gatekeep further education behind a paywall. At least in the US.
Can you parallel park? Never have and never will.
A job you had that might surprise people? I haven’t had many. I’ve worked in retail, at my university’s career center critiquing resumes, and in my current profession. However, when I say I’m a dietitian most people assume I’m helping people lose weight or something, but that’s not the case. Most of my career has been spent in an ICU dosing the tube feeds and IV nutrition for patients unable to eat orally.
Do you think aliens are real? Obviously.
Tumblr media
Can you drive a manual car? No, despite the number of times my dad has tried to teach me.
What’s your guilty pleasure? MAME. Always MAME. Actual picture of me watching anything written by MAME:
Tumblr media
Tattoos? No, but I would like to get some Thai script now that I know enough Thai to feel like I’ve earned it. I can’t for the life of me decide what I want it to say, though.
Favorite color? Pink 🩷
Favorite type of music? Country. Go ahead and roast me, but I’m from Alabama. It can’t be helped.
Do you like puzzles? Yup. Especially crosswords.
Any phobias? Sharks. I was raised near the beach and there was a string of pretty violent shark attacks one summer when I was very young and impressionable. When I was a kid, I wouldn’t even go in pools.
Favorite childhood sport? Three guesses which sport my lesbian ass played. That’s right: softball. I didn’t actually enjoy it, though, and I haven’t watched a sportsball game in probably a decade unless you count GMMTV Starlympics, which I absolutely don’t.
Do you talk to yourself? All the time
What movies do you adore? Love Simon, Pride and Prejudice (2005), Mulan, The Old Guard, Frozen, the original Star Wars trilogy, Mean Girls. I honestly don’t watch that many movies. The most recent one I enjoyed was Bottoms.
Coffee or Tea? Coke Zero?
First thing you wanted to be growing up? Probably a pretty, pretty princess. I’ve never much cared for work, but unfortunately, I wasn’t born rich.
Tagging @thescrumptiousstuffs, @mbjw, @qt-qtoey, @sherrymagic, @whitnerd, @coconeedshelp or anyone else who wants to participate, but no pressure!
Stole the Moon - Chapter Six
Tumblr media
CW: My content is not for anyone under 18. Minors DNI. Reader uses she/her pronouns. Character death (mom related)
Word Count: 1.1K
Summary: In sleep, a memory comes back to you, forcing you yet again to remember a painful part of your past. Buggy is smitten but god forbid he ever tells you. You make a plan to visit a friend.
A/N: I still feel – at all times – like I am being hit with a bus. Oh my god that is so dramatic, okay no. I don't actually feel like that, but I am getting some burnout.
I think that is fairly common with fic writers, especially when you know you have a story to tell but getting it out takes a while.
However, writing and posting does help with my mental health as it is a good creative exercise, so, to make a compromise, I decided that this chapter and maybe the next few will be a bit shorter than normal.
Thank you all for reading and commenting and liking and re-bloging. I recently got the update that let's me comment back as moon-huny in the mentions so you best believe Imma be doin that now.
Okay, that's all, enjoy.
As soon as the air hit your little lungs, you began to cough up sea water onto the rocks beside you. Still not registering much in your state, you heard voices clamoring around you.
“She’s alive”
“Course she is, I saved her”
Waves hit rocks and rain pelted your face. Squinting through the gales, you could make out those most gorgeous creatures you’d come to befriend.
“Please, you have to help! My mother! She’s … where is she?” You were frantic and screaming over the storm.
“Well we didn’t like her as much as you”
“She was already bound to drown no matter which way you look at it”
They weren’t yelling back at you. They were barely moving their mouths. You couldn’t hear a word they were saying and, truth be told you never could, they spoke like the waves, hushed and foreign.
They tread the water with such ease even though the sea was churning all around them. They had placed you on a small rocky island, close enough to see the shore but nowhere near close enough for you to swim to it.
“I can’t … I can’t understand you! Please! My mother! Where is she? Please, save her too!” You could no longer tell whether it was rain all over your face or your tears.
You couldn’t quite tell how many there were, they all swam around you like sharks around prey. They would dip in and out of sight coming up briefly to exchange glances and what you thought were words.
“We don’t like her”
“She’s already dead girl”
They made eye contact with you, their lips moved but nothing you could understand fell out of them. You began to shout. “Mama! Mama!” but you knew it was futile.
“I want to give her the fruit,” said one to another. Perhaps it was out of pity at your crying form shivering in the storm or maybe it was their love of tricks but it was that moment they decided what they wanted to do with you.
///
You tossed and turned in your sleep as he watched you. Sitting upright in bed, one of his arms perched on his bent knee. He just looked down at you. The ocean was quiet while you slept.
He’d awoken only a little while ago to a knock at the door. If he were honest though it was more of an aggressive pounding at the door. It just so happened that the two goofballs obsessed with one another were looking for you. He’d dismissed them when he opened the door just slightly to reveal your sleeping – presumably naked – body.
After they left, he had the opportunity to wake you, begin a day full of questions and fights to get the upper hand away from you. But that could wait. While he watched you sleep, that could all wait.
You slept on your stomach clutching a pillow the way he wished you would cling to him. You weren't awake, there was nobody here, he could let himself think whatever he wanted, and he wanted to think about you.
The way your eyebrows furrowed in your sleep and your lashes would flutter made him weak. You were so beautiful and full of danger and uncertainty. Any pirate with half a mind would have kept you in a cell far below deck, confined to a tub of seawater, behind multiple padlocks.
Hostages weren’t new to Buggy or his crew. Sure, he knew he had a few bleeding hearts here and there but nobody disobeyed him. This was his ship, his crew and he wanted you to be a part of it.
You began to stir. Slowly you opened your eyes to find Buggy on the other side of the room pilfering through maps and charters and journals. You could have sworn you’d felt his presence beside you. He was so warm and you’d woken up with the thought of embracing him.
“If you were as good at using your power as you were at sleeping I’d be sailing the Grand Line by now,” he said in no way regarding you.
The opposite could be said of you. The man stood at his desk, low hanging trousers not concealing anything as it seems this morning he was too hot to put on a shirt.
“What are you looking at?” you asked, rubbing the sleep from your eyes and looking for something to cover your body with.
Your voice in the morning sounds like heaven, he thought. “Get up and see for yourself, sweetness.” He smirked over at you.
You rolled your eyes which did land on an article of clothing at the end of his bed. Grabbing it and throwing it over your head you realized it was his shirt. You gathered yourself off the bed and walked over to him in nothing but his own clothes.
Leaning against the edge of the desk next to him you pushed yourself up to sit next to all of his important work. His eyes flicked over to you and slowly moved down your body.
“So what are we looking at?” You ask him, sucking your lower lip in between your teeth and giving him a sweet smile.
“I’m looking at an attention seeking whore.” He throws back at you.
That’s okay. You know you’re winning.
Your eyes travel lower to that oh so desirable part of him. “And I’m looking at a certain pirate that is terrible at hiding how he responds to the attention seeking whore.
You liked this. The banter helped you take your mind off of the intense memory you were having. One you really desperately wanted to wake up from.
Your eyes drifted across the desk to a sketch of a mermaid skeleton.
“You know anything about those, Clown?” you asked.
“What happened to Captain?” he responded by raising an eyebrow when you looked back at him with frustration. He sighed when he realized you were the toughest crowd he’d ever performed to.
“Not a lot, babe so quit with the questions.”
“You know,” you said, hopping down from the desk and confronting him head on. “I think I might be more willing to explore these so-called powers I have if I knew a bit more about myself.”
“Well, talking about feelings isn’t really daddy’s forte so maybe go find someone else to gab with.” You soured at the mocking use of the nickname he’d pulled last night. The name he clearly didn’t have a problem using for himself but one you were a little embarrassed you liked.
“Fine, maybe I will,” you responded, turning your back to him to hunt for your clothing and planning your trip to Beau’s.
Inspired by some fanart I was seeing recentlyl, here's shark merman!Genya x mermaid!Reader. I too have no idea how it spiraled into angst but it is what it is so enjoy! I realized it was gonna get too long so expect Part II soon (I swear it'll get better).
“Where the bloody hell are you off to at this time of the bleeping night?”
Ironic, Genya thought wryly, that sailors on the seas were Sanemi’s sworn enemies but his language was just as filthy as theirs, albeit he was sober (mostly, at any rate; when Obanai came around it was another story). He exhaled sharply, before plastering an innocent expression that failed terribly when he caught the suspicious look on his elder brother’s face as he turned around.
Sanemi glared at him from the entrance of their family home, evidently having woken up when Genya sneaked out. Violet eyes crankily clouded by sleep and his white hair even wilder than usual, Sanemi looked as forgiving as the fishermen that would catch them in their nets and sell them off for their fins. He prayed his brother hadn’t alerted their mother of his night time wanderings and that Sanemi would think this was the first time he was doing this.
“For a swim, I can’t sleep.” Genya’s eye twitched but he blinked to disguise it. He hated lying to his older brother, hell, anyone really, but he had no choice.
He didn’t mind if Sanemi was going to drag him back in screaming bloody murder by his ear fins and threaten to add a few more scars to the ones already criss-crossing both their bodies and chop off his fins to make soup with for disobeying their mother’s curfew rule, although now that he thought about it…it was a little scary.
But it was fine!
As long as she was safe from the numerous wraths that would be incurred if anyone found out what Genya really had been doing at night, he’d have his long, dark purple tail chopped off for all he cared.
Seconds ticked by. If Genya were human sweat would be rolling off him in buckets. He tugged at his piranha-tooth necklace instead. Sanemi continued to glower menacingly.
Then his brother rolled his eyes before drifting back in. “Work on your lying skills if you’re going to go see your little princess.”
Woah, he wasn’t expecting that. Since when was Sanemi so forgiving? He brightened in relief, not realizing how panicked he had been to have Sanemi catch him in such an incriminating move - wait a minute -
“SHE’S NOT MY PRINCESS!”
Presumably his brother had returned to the pod, but he heard a grunt as he hovered around the entrance, face as red as coral and throat struggling to both shout at Sanemi and not wake his siblings. “Whatever you say.”
“We’re just - we’re -” Then another thought struck him. “HOLD UP - HOW LONG - HOW DID YOU KNOW?”
This time Sanemi really poked his head back in with a gritted jaw and twitching eye. “Go find your bleeping precious pearl and LET ME SLEEP ALREADY!”
“Ara ara, what do we have here, a little princess running away?”
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, so Genya took the opportunity to flee, flushed and flustered at however in the world had Sanemi discovered his nickname for her?
***
“Eh, no, no, Kocho-san!” She frantically turned around, eyes widened to the size of the largest, prettiest pearls Genya always liked to compare her to.
The Hashira’s resident healer leaned closer with her customary smile that never wavered, unlike her midnight blue and dark purple tendrils in the still waters. “Really now? Whatever are you doing then? Himejima would be very worried if I were to tell him you were sneaking out at night - not very sneakily, actually, seeing as I’ve seen you do this three times already, little princess.”
She glanced away but the pink blush was still painted on her face for all the ocean to see. Kocho had known all this time? That was very, very bad news…but if she hadn’t confronted her until now it much mean something, right?
Besides, Kocho didn’t sound like the other snitches of other mermaids who’d gotten her into trouble too many times to count by reporting her to her strict father in order to get into his good books: sly, accusing and reprimanding. No, she only sounded as if she were to know why she’d leave it at that. Mere curiosity.
Mere curiosity, she lied to herself reassuringly.
“I haven’t been sleeping well,” she said aloud. “I wanted to go out and work off the restlessness.”
“Why haven’t you come to me or Kanae then, dear?” Shinobu hummed, then inclined her head to the rows of undersea herbs and concoctions the two sister healers spent their days mixing up for the kingdom’s army. She crossed her arms. “Or is there something else…?”
Jellyfish were hypnotizing to look at; Kocho was hypnotizing to listen to and the truth burst out before she could stop herself.
“I’m - I’m just going to see someone. Please don’t tell Gyomei-san!” She begged, not liking the idea of the giant stone crab-hybrid getting into trouble on her account. Trusted family friend or not her father would definitely have words with her caretaker for letting her run off, especially if he found out that today Gyomei had to leave her with the Kocho sisters to deal with some more troublesome members of the Corps.
“Who is this someone?” Kocho’s smile widened but turned a little more real, more genuine. “Don’t worry, I have no plans to rat you out.”
She cast her eyes down and mumbled a name Shinobu didn’t exactly remember (oddly familiar though, hmmm….), but there was only one reason she would be running off to see someone at this time of the night…her father, the Undersea King Ubuyashiki’s loyal, old-fashioned second in command must not have approved of…
“It's a boy?” Shinobu prodded, not unkindly. “I'd have thought your father would be happy you found a suitor.”
“You know - you know how he is!” She hid her face. Certainly a boy then, but…
Her father was infamous for his beliefs that different species of mercreatures - dolphin with dolphin, fish with fish, octopi with octopi - shouldn't be mixing…one particular species in particular.
Well there was only one shark mercreature that Shinobu was well acquainted with, and if her memory served her right Shinazugawa had a younger brother.
“I would've thought you'd have gone for someone of a more calmer nature.” Shinobu turned away to hide the genuine smirk on her face, her indigo tentacles propelling her back inside. “Don't take too long and tell Genya-kun I said he better not break your heart.”
“H - hey -oof!”
She knew an olive branch when she saw one, and so blushing furiously she quickly swam away with half formed, stammering questions and protests.
***
Genya swore she was more beautiful with every time he saw her, smooth hair drifting in a silky cloud behind her, stars stolen from the above and taken to their new home in her eyes, moonlight highlighting that perfect skin and scales, but she never did believe him (would he? Not when he stuttered and struggled to convey his worship of her eloquently anyway) so he tried to show it in ways she couldn’t deny.
Not to say he didn’t love it when she showered him with affection that nearly gave him a premature death by cardiac arrest either.
Like right now. He prayed to all the Undersea Gods they could stay like this forever, him awkward as ever wrapping his scarred arms around her frail little body, her head tucked into his neck and his buried into her hair, tails intertwined.
Just them. No one else. No one judging them just because he was some shark delinquent boy and she was the closest thing to a princess. Not a thing in the world to rip them apart.
He'd tell her about his training, internally wondering what good karma had he done to earn someone as patient as her sitting through his terrible spluttering and have her tell him it was cute instead. She’d tell him about whatever it was someone as upper class her did on a daily basis, royal gossip and the doings of the Hashira, the Corps’ strongest mercreature soldiers. He laughed, she teased, he blushed, she shyly pecked his cheek; but mostly they just held each other, savor the feeling of fragile content.
Today was a little special - Genya had been planning to gift her something for a while. Himejima-san had no idea, obviously, of who he was seeing (some things were easier to keep from a blind man than others, Genya guiltily thought) but knew enough to know the girl, whoever she was, must be very special to have his apprentice shout and bluster like crazy when he asked. With a quirked smile he had quietly handed Genya a string of pearls the other day and when the oblivious, confused Shinazugawa had asked what for:
“I’m sure your little pearl will enjoy it.”
(The stone crab mercreature had quite the laugh to himself that day watching Genya poorly justify and defend himself. Let’s be honest, everyone knew Genya was chasing after someone.)
He prayed she’d like it. In retrospect it was such a stupid idea. She was nearest thing to Undersea royalty, she could have any jewel the seat offered if she so much as implied it. Such a stupid idea he nearly backed out of it, but the sneaky mermaid had distracted him so well with those glassy eyes and pouting lips that Genya didn’t even realize when she took them out of his grasp.
“Genya-kun, this is so pretty!”
“Har? No, it’s nothing really - just some seed pearls - besides I know you have better ones -”
“But they’re not from you! Help me put it on?”
“…fine, but only because you said so,” he muttered, embarrassed that she could have him wrapped around her finger so well.
“See, I’m matching with you now!” She tapped the driftwood-carved bracelets on his own arms with a bright giggle.
Perfect. Her, everything. Just perfect.
It was for but a moment anyway; something or somebody would always come along to remind them of the invisible glass wall that separated them forever like the poor captured mercreatures stuck in aquariums.
“Right this way, sir…”
“Shit.” Genya muttered some more obscenities and hurriedly untangled himself from her, grabbing her hand with the panicked intention of hopefully swimming off fast enough to - no idea, but anywhere before they were caught.
“Genya - stop - they’re coming this way -” Her warning, worried whisper came far too late.
There really was nothing more awkward than running right into the very person they were trying to run away from, and judging by Tomioka Giyuu’s slack jawed, wide eyed expression he had not been expecting this at all.
“Tomioka?”
Undersea Gods damn this day, why did it have to be HIS voice approaching?
A very awkward pause ensued; the calm before the storm.
“What are you doing with my daughter? This is the fifth time already.”
“Father -”
“Come over here.”
She squeezed his hand weakly before swimming over to her father’s side. Genya lowered his head in fearful respect under her father’s commanding gaze and cold venom in his tone. Tomioka looked on almost apologetically from the side.
“When you prove you’re no less violent and lowly as the two legs above only then are you worthy of even being in her company, shark.”
You’re not good enough for her, he meant.
You’ll never be good enough.
You’re no good.
“Wait!” Her outstretched hand was blocked by her father’s.
Genya swam away as fast as he could, ears burning not from flustered adoration but shame. Predators like him weren’t supposed to be part of her paradise.
“Shinazugawa-san gave Tomioka quite the scolding today.” Muichiro peeled himself away from the rock he had been sitting on to chase after Genya, who was listlessly drifting off, turquoise tentacles the same color as the ends of his long hair wavering in the water. His blue eyes were alight with mischief. “I suspect if Oyakata-sama had not been there he would’ve beaten up Tomioka for accidentally leading her father to you both. Tomioka was already lucky to be able to avoid him for three days; but of course the meeting was impossible to miss.”
Something about being told that constantly was really starting to chip away at him.
***
“Aniki wouldn’t actually do that,” Genya replied distractedly. Lies, Sanemi absolutely would, what with his intense hatred for the poor merman, but right now Genya had a lot more to think about than to ponder on what havoc Sanemi was capable of wrecking.
“What happened after that though?” Muichiro was the only one Genya had explicitly told about his not so secret infatuation with her, being his close friend - and also because the sly octopus and his twin had stalked him one day. “Are you still meeting up with her?”
Genya scowled at the ground. “No, Himejima-san has been told to not let her out of his sight now. Haven’t seen her since then.”
Are you okay? Genya silently asked. Did you get punished? Are you still sure you want me even with all this we have to avoid?
“Come on, surely there’s a way for you to, you know, court her without having her prick of a dad interfering. So what if you’re a shark? You’re not that scary.”
“I’ll show you scary when I pull off all your tentacles,” Genya growled half-heartedly.
“Shiver me timbers. Is there really nothing you can do to get his approval?”
“…maybe it’s for the best he did it.”
Maybe we’re not meant for each other, he realized.
Put aside their difference in status and species, shark mercreatures were known for their aggressiveness and hot tempers - no wonder her father didn’t trust him around someone as delicate and precious as her. Sometimes Genya himself was afraid of what he could accidentally do to you. Not only that, but as much as Genya hated to admit it, he was afraid he’d turn out like Kyogo - everyone knew about the Shinazugawa’s abusive patriarch. Maybe her father wasn’t afraid of him, but what he could do or become.
She was a blooming flower.
He was the hand that was going to snap her stem and break her apart.
He finally understood now.
“Hey, hey, why are you saying that? Both of you are so in love it actually made me want to throw up, you can’t give up just because some old racist bigot - Genya-kun! Where are you going? Are you even listening? Don’t give up on her, that’s just stupid.”
“Hey! There you are!”
Genya turned away, blinking away whatever was in his eyes. Definitely not tears. “It’s for the best.”
***
She looked up from the seaweed she was absently pulling out. “Oh, hi, Mitsuri-chan.”
The pink and green haired mermaid swam closer, looking as bubbly as ever. Even though she was a Hashira, it was still amazing how there wasn’t a visible sign of injury save for her bandaged head after her recent clash with a group humans some time ago.
“What are you doing in the Stone Estate?” She asked. Himejima-san had gone out for a while, so if Mitsuri was here to see him she was a little too late. “Oh, you can sit down.”
“Thank you! To answer your question I think I left something of mine here when I last visited. Iguro-san said he could get me a new one, but I’m really upset I lost it. Have you seen an emerald bracelet?”
She shook her head. “I’ll look for it, but I don’t think it’s here. I would’ve seen it.”
“Oh well, maybe it’s at Kocho’s,” Mitsuri hums. “I heard what happened the other day.”
There wasn’t really an use in pretending not to know what she was talking about. Pretty much all the Hashira did after the one-sided screaming match between Shinazugawa and Tomioka. She’s managed to hide away successfully from interacting with any of them other than Himejima-san so far though.
“Mmm.”
“Have you spoken to him since?”
She didn’t mind telling Mitsuri, at least not much. The Love Pillar was almost like an older sister to her. “No. My father won’t let me out of sight and if we don’t really purposely go find each other it’s really hard to run into one another.”
“He hasn’t bothered to find you?” Mitsuri frowned. “That doesn’t sound like him.”
“Maybe he’s busy,” she replied unconvincingly, but Mitsuri figured it out quickly.
“He’s avoiding you?”
She didn’t mean to burst into tears, but she did anyway, sobbing her broken heart out onto a comforting Mitsuri’s shoulder. So what if they came from different worlds? It shouldn’t matter. Right? Hadn’t he told her that all this time? Then why did he seem to care about that now?
“I’m sure he doesn’t mean to! I think he’s just scared of your father - I know I am!” Mitsuri’s joke was enough to get a hiccupping laugh from her. “Why don’t you go find him tonight? He can’t avoid you forever. It’s all silly reasons to keep you apart! You both just have to work it through together! Lots of people support you - not just me and you remember that, alright? I’ll make Shinazugawa drag Genya there himself if I have to.”
Mitsuri’s pep talk caused her to brighten almost immediately. “You really think so?”
“I’d be such an idiot if I didn’t! Now, you better go find him by today!”
Her face cracked into a shy, elated smile for the first time in a while as she tackled the older mermaid in a fierce hug. “Thank you so much, Mitsuri-chan! I hope you and Iguro-san get together soon!”
“Genya! Don’t ignore me, I know you know I’m here.”
“Eh? No, no, he doesn’t like me that way!!!”
***
She swam closer to the Shinazugawa home impatiently, rapidly getting fed up with the way Genya kept turning away with a red face. Exasperated she grabbed his shoulders to turn him around and face her, using one hand to force his head to face her.
“Stop ignoring me already! I just want to talk,” she huffed.
“You really shouldn’t be here.”
“Since when have you ever said something like that?” The space between her brow creased. “Genya, what’s wrong? You don’t have to be bothered about what my father says. I really don’t care and neither should you!”
“…it’s better if we did.”
He said it aloud to tell her, but more than half of him still hopelessly prayed she wouldn’t catch his whisper. The hurt and shattered look on her face proved otherwise and another part of his heart died a little more.
“Why? After everything? Did I do something wrong?” He promised to never make her cry, didn’t he? He said he’d catch all her tears, didn’t he? Why was he making her cry right now?
Liar.
“You deserve someone so much better than me, alright? Someone your equal. Someone who won’t fxxking be a danger to you. I should’ve listened to your father. I told you I’d give you the best things in the world - if that’s not me so be it. I’m not supposed to be part of it.”
“What’s the point of the world if you’re not in it? You don’t have the right to decide what I deserve or not!”
“We’re over.”
She swam away too quickly, too caught up in her misery and grief, to see the tears as glossy as the pearls she had dumped into his hand forming in his eyes, but not quick enough for him to not see the half-formed words on her lips: I don’t care, I still love you, I need you.
He brushed his fingers over the bracelet. For the best. If she hated him but could move on, he’d done his job. Sharks were predators - she’d be prey if he hadn’t done this.
I’m not supposed to be part of your world, he repeated.
3rd anni req 11: [NIGHTBRINGER] belphie, lucifer / deep sleep
ao3 link
note: i've mostly been doing these in the order i remember getting them so far, but i might start skipping around, since they're quite lucifer-frontloaded (not that i'm complaining). anyway - this is based on nb lesson 12, where mc's in that curse-coma, but! the twist is that ik can somehow still speak through it. since, y'know, special reaper curse
∎ ∎ ∎ ∎ ∎
“...oh, you’re here.”
Lucifer doesn’t look up as Belphie slips into the room. He stays there, sitting in a chair he’s dragged from the dining room, half-hunched over, with his forearms on his knees. Belphie gets the distinct feeling that his oldest brother hasn’t slept in the last forty-eight hours.
He glances over at the wan face of the room’s only other occupant. “...still not up?”
“Solomon said not to expect it to happen soon,” Lucifer says blankly. “We don’t know the exact nature of the curse. By all means, it should have been fatal.”
They both look at IK’s blank face. The light flickers in a way that, for a moment, makes her look as if she’s blinking awake - though Belphie doesn’t dare hope.
“Weird kid,” He mumbles, more to her than Lucifer. “You can’t do magic, but you can survive reaper curses? If you can do that, why didn’t you…”
'Why didn’t you stop us from trying to hurt you?' is what he means, but he can’t finish the question. Lucifer looks as if he knows what he was going to say, anyway.
“So where’s Solomon gone, then?” He asks after a beat, frowning. “All that talk, and he’s not even staying to look after her?”
“He said he’d look for solutions in the tomes at the cave. And that he was leaving IK in charge.”
Yeah, that’s right.
“As if h— huh?”
They both whip around. IK hasn’t moved.
Belphie glances quickly at Lucifer. “Did you hear—?”
“Yes.” His response is short and harried. “What was that?”
They both fall silent for a moment, listening hard. Nothing.
“Maybe we’re just hearing things,” Belphie says reluctantly, though he’d swear it to anyone that he just heard IK speaking, loud and clear.
“Do you think that’s likely?” Lucifer stands up, staring around the room like a sentinel, a dangerous shadow falling over his face. “It could be any manner of mimicry. If something’s gotten in—”
Wait, did you hear me?
Lucifer goes dead silent. There's no mistaking that voice - but there’s also no mistaking the fact that the speaker has not moved an inch.
After a moment, Belphie tries, “IK?”
You did! She sounds downright joyful - the words don’t quite ring like speech does in a room, but the voice in their heads is clear as day. I was so BORED.
“You can talk?” He asks, bewildered. “Wait, you’re— can’t you open your eyes?”
No. Do you think I haven’t tried? Now she sounds aggravated. I’ve been awake this whole time. I just can’t bloody move.
“Watch your language,” He says automatically.
Don’t start. I’m losing my mind here. But you can actually hear me now!
“Yes, you’ve said that already.” Lucifer sits down again, leaning forward, practically on the edge of his seat. “How much do you remember?”
Hmm. I remember you both trying to kill me.
A pause. Then Lucifer asks, voice suddenly about half as loud, “What is your situation, then?”
There’s a sort of buzz, as if IK is laughing. Not much going on. It’s like sitting in a dark room. I can hear things coming from outside, but I can’t see anything. It sucks.
Say, if you were a shark, what kind would you be?
“What?”
I think you’d be a nurse shark, Belphie, because they’re usually chill, except when they aren’t. And Lucifer would be… a blue shark, because that’s his favourite colour.
They exchange mildly bemused looks. After a moment, Lucifer says slowly, “How do you know that? I’ve never told you.”
…uh… Belphie gets the distinct feeling that IK is panicking. ...context clues. You know, clothes and stuff.
“You’ve only seen him wearing red,” He says a little suspiciously.
And what’s the opposite of red? Blue. Next question.
It’s no use trying to pry. Every time this happens - every time Belphie gets the unnerving feeling that their attendant knows them better than they even know themselves - he tries to figure out why, and IK deflects. The dedication would be impressive if it wasn’t annoying.
Who is this kid? She shows up, completely out cold, and hasn’t even been awake for an hour by the time she’s been put in charge of the Devildom’s newly-minted residents. Then Solomon, of all people, that sorcerer whose reputation long precedes him, shows up calling her his ward, even though she’s got no magic to speak of.
Though Belphie doesn’t know what else to call her knack for making them… talk. She takes to the Devildom like a duck to water - practically skips through it all while they’re still mired in their own rotten souls. They should’ve been insulted that Diavolo would think this ridiculous little thing capable of handling the seven of them, but IK does it like it’s second nature.
That’s the frustrating part. They’ll tell her near-everything, and IK tells them absolutely nothing. And it isn’t that they’re stupid, or blind, or so self-absorbed that they don’t notice when she goes quiet - when she stares off at something that isn’t there, eyes filled with some inexplicable loneliness that should be far beyond her years.
Is Satan around? IK asks. He was in here, reading, before. He couldn’t hear me then, but maybe he will now.
“Um… he went out.” Belphie sits down on the foot of the bed. “Hey. I’m… not angry with you anymore.”
Wow. Do you want an award?
“No, I—” He swallows. His tail flicks up behind him, and he seizes it for comfort before he can stop himself. “—I’m sorry. That’s what I meant.”
Oh.
Okay.
He waits for a moment. There’s no other response. He looks at Lucifer.
His brother’s face is twisted into something that might resemble remorse. The ironic part is that Ik would probably know better than he does, if only she could open her eyes to see.
“We’re doing what we can,” is all Lucifer says after a while. “You will be alright. I can promise you that.”
That’s a relief, she says, a touch ironically. So am I just stuck like this until Solomon figures something out?
Lucifer’s jaw tightens. “...I don’t know. All we can do is wait.”
Great. I’ll get right on that.
Belphie scoffs. “I don’t know how you’re making jokes right now. You could’ve died. You still might now.”
Oh, I wouldn’t worry about that, says IK dryly. I know what being dead feels like. This isn't anything like it.
“What? What’s that supposed to mean?”
No answer. Belphie shoots an apprehensive look at Lucifer, then leans forward. “Hey. I’m talking to you.”
Silence. He doesn’t know if IK’s refusing to speak, or if the connection has broken already. He makes as if to stand up, to go find Barbatos, or Diavolo, or anyone who might know how to repair it. He can't lose it now.
He’s poured his heart out to her once before, then hadn’t even waited a day to turn on her. He doesn’t know what, but he has to do something about it, right?
But, before he can, Lucifer takes a deep breath, then abruptly stands up.
“...I have to go,” He mutters.
That, at least, gets IK to speak up again - Belphie feels a rather distracted spark of relief. Where are you going?
“Out,” He replies sharply, then pauses, and sighs. “...I need to clear my head. You’re… incomprehensible.”
That’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever said to me.
…hey. You’ll come back and talk to me, right? It’s really boring in here.
“Is that what you want?” He asks, softer.
It’d be nice.
Lucifer looks at IK for a moment, then leans down. Belphie doesn’t quite see what he does, but when he straightens up again, the blankest are tucked in more snugly, and IK’s hair looks a little neater than it did before.
“Then I will,” Lucifer tells her, and steps back. With one last, lingering glance, he turns on his heel, and walks out.
…Belphie, are you still there?
“Yeah,” He says quietly, and decides to take Lucifer’s seat. “Are you okay?”
Not the best I’ve been. Not the best week I’ve had, either.
He wishes he had some water. “That’s our fault, isn’t it?”
Sorry.
“Don’t— what are you saying sorry for? You always—” He stops himself before he can finish. “—you’re so weird.”
A pause. Then, That’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever said to me.
“Stop it. Just…” He drags a hand through his hair and catches a finger on his left horn. “...just let me feel bad, will you?”
…fine.
He takes a breath. “...Beel’s okay, by the way. I don’t know if you’ve heard him.”
I did. I’m really glad.
“He’s worried. We all are. Look, I—”
Don’t bother, IK interrupts. …I get it, I mean. You don’t have to explain it to me.
“I really don’t get you,” He mumbles.
Another laughing sound. I get that a lot.
“Aren’t you scared? Aren’t you angry?”
Not angry. Scared… maybe.
Doesn’t matter, though. It’ll be fine. It has to be. I have to get…
Silence for a while. He doesn't quite dare to ask - have to get... what? What is it that she's so determined to hold on for?
…hey. If you wanted to, say, make it up to me… could you hold my hand?
He blinks. “Will you be able to feel it?”
I don’t know. But it’d be a nice thought.
“...okay. Sure, I can do that.”
Belphie drags the chair closer, untucks a corner of the blanket, and closes his fingers around a cold little hand. IK's voice murmurs a quiet thank you.
If he really squints, he can fool himself into seeing a tiny smile on her face.
"You'd better wake up soon."
Ok! I’m the one that made the siren request! When I said hunting I meant like, giant whales and sharks
so reader brings the characters whales and sharks now that they are officially together
-Ask anyone about hunting and they will answer with things like deer, elk, moose, and ducks to name a few, that’s what (Love) thought about when someone asked him about what to hunt.
-When you started given him shells and other gifts, courting him, and after he accepted, you discussed hunting with him, as potential mates and partners would hunt for each other, to show that they are a provider.
-This made sense to him, finding it logical, as one wouldn’t want to be stuck with someone who didn’t provide or do anything to contribute to the relationship and you both agreed to go hunting and he would treat you to something called barbeque. You didn’t know what it was, but you saw the way his eyes lit up, so you knew it had to be something special.
-So that meant that you had to find him something super special!!
-When (Love) arrived at the beach and began to prepare a bonfire for the barbeque, dragging a buck behind him, he could only drop everything, gawking as you were beaming brightly, draped over the body of a massive, as in 16-foot-long, great white shark, the results of your own hunting trip.
-He couldn’t believe what he was seeing, approaching and you had bright sparkly eyes, seeing the buck, as you wanted to see what those strange things coming out of its head was.
-(Love) couldn’t help but laugh as he dragged the buck over and you both got to inspect each other’s kills, he looked in the mouth of the shark, seeing all the teeth, in awe, while you were stroking the antlers, finding them rough and they felt like nothing you had ever felt before!
-(Love) hesitated, not wanting to offend you, before asking about siren hunting, curious about the things that you normally hunted.
-You beamed brightly, telling him that your preferred prey items were crustaceans, as you loved crabs, and you liked larger fish with more meat, like tuna. However, there were certain things you didn’t hunt, dolphins, who actually were like dogs to you as dogs are to normal humans, and they help you hunt and turtles, because their taste wasn’t good, but you did scavenge, when the turtles passed away, their shells, as they were very beautiful and useful tools, and you did something similar to whales, scavenging for their bones, as they made strong weapons and tools.
-You made (Love) laugh when he asked if you ate whale meat and you made a face before you explained, “Whale meat is very fatty, as it’s very cold where they are. Most of their meat has a very thick layer of blubber over the top and if you cut that away, all that’s left is thin muscular meat that is very hard to chew, unless if you’re a shark.”
-He started the barbeque and you started breaking down your shark, pulling back the skin and getting to the meat as he told you about things that he hunted, like the buck and you were amazed at the diversity of game on the surface, to you at least since you were used to everything in the ocean, which was mundane to you but amazing to (Love).
-You were more elated to be gifted the antlers rather than the barbequed meat, holding them up and (Love) roared with laughter when he showed you that they floated, which would make them a little difficult to take down to your own home.
-You were both in awe of your different catches, the buck was lean but so flavorful, so unlike anything you had ever had before, “It’s a bit chewy but so juicy!” and he nodded, biting into a piece of grilled shark, “It looked fatty so I thought it was going to be greasy- but it’s not greasy at all- it’s almost like lean salmon!”
-The two of you enjoyed your meals, laughing and spending time with each other, having proved that you are both providers and it made you smile, thinking about what kind of father he would be in the future, but you weren’t going to rush anytime soon, at least just yet.
task force 141 + konig going to the beach :D
100% unorganized and all over the place. Gaz and Ghost ganging up on Soap with water guns. Price lounging on a camping chair with a beer in hand, a book on the other. König and Shark drifting on the shore on floaties.
(callsign will be ‘Shark’ :3)
A beach day is just what the team needed after an unusually hard mission, and heaps of paperwork for that mission. Captain Price taking everyone out is like taking kindergartens out on a field trip.
Arriving to the beach, the whole group turned heads and caught the attention of almost everyone in 100ft radius. Group of soldiers, body covered in badass, healed, scars. Trained gazes to intimidate and belittle anyone with just a glare. All the while they had colorful beach items, coolers, towels, umbrella, and floaties. They all stare, not sure whether to be scared or turned on, or maybe both?
There were almost no space to breath with how many people were occupying the beach. They could already tell Price was getting irritated with how his personal space was being invaded. And with a simple glare from his soldiers, the people occupying the space around them immediately scooted away, giving them more than enough space to set up their towel and umbrella.
Not even minutes later, the soldiers were running around and acting like children. Of course, not before Price reminded them to put on sunscreen.
Gaz and Ghost whipped out two water guns each, super soakers, mischievously sneaking up on Soap, whose minding his own business making sandcastles, and drowning him in the cold water. Making him jump from the sudden temperature change against his back and immediately stumble up and run away.
“Pri—ce! Tell them to stop!” He shouts, running up to his captain, to tell on them like a kid. Price rolls his eyes from being pulled out of his book. He quickly looks at the two chasing Soap, waving them off just to get Soap off his back. It works for now, but planned to attack him when Price isn’t around.
Shark and König were floating around close by the shore, letting themselves get drifted away by the calming water. König sat himself in an inflatable shark pool float, while Shark dove under, looking for seashells or tiny rocks, floating up to the Austrian to show him and drop them all at his lap.
Soon, König couldn’t hold anymore seashells, rocks, or starfish. So, they’d run up to Dad Price. Running up like an excited toddler with a new bug they found.
“Cap’ look! I found a sand dollar!” Shark ran up, holding the sand dollar up, almost tripping over sand in the process. They looked for sand dollars and starfish that was pale and already dead, they wouldn’t wanna take a live animal to suffer in a new environment.
“Good job, kiddo” Price would laugh, looking up from his book to look at them from his lawn chair, chuckling heartily when Shark gave it to him, wiping of the excess sand before pocketing it in the swim shorts. Trying hard not to laugh when he sees them trip on nothing, getting up from the sand like nothing happened, and running away back to König.
“Noo! Get that thing away!” König would screech, backing away and shielding his eyes from the large crab that Shark held. Cringing and shivering at the look of how the crab moved it’s legs and tried to wiggle out of their grasp.
“König, look at him. Isn’t he just so adorable?” Shark cooed, retracting the little crab away from the big guy, finding it amusing how a wall of a man such as him can be scared of an itty bitty crab. You didn’t even have to hold it with two hands.
“Ooh, dinner” Gaz joked, sneaking up behind them to take a crab from their hands, being careful to not get pinched by her strong claws. Holding it above his head and opening his mouth in a joking manner.
“Ahh” He continued to tease Shark, sticking his tongue out. The crab wiggling frantically, thinking she was actually gonna get eaten.
“No!” Shark protested, punching Gaz in the shoulder to drop their new friend. Their pretty resilient so it’s fine, they got hard shells. The little hard shelled friend using this as an opportunity to crab walk away, hiding under a rock.
“Sandball fight!”
Sand in the face is not what Shark wanted.
When the grainy texture fell off their face, still sand in some of their hair, eye lashes, and face, they looked forward to see Soap laughing a few feet in front of them. Ghost started snickering, finding the lack of emotion in their face funny from his comrades usual stunts.
—Thud
It was Shark turn to laugh when Ghost’s amusement stopped, and his face covered in sand as well. Both Soap and Shark laughed and snickered. Ghost shaking the sand off his face before taking a big hunk of sand from the ground next to him and sending it flying to hit his attacker in the face. Giving him a taste of his own medicine.
Both Ghost and Shark started chasing Soap, second time he’d been chased today, with a mix of water and sand in their hands. Shark, later on, filled up a bucket with compacted sand and a little bit of water. Price couldn’t help but laugh, not even trying to hide it.
Soap and Shark were sitting at König’s sides. Covering his lower half in sand, Gaz coming back every so often to deliver buckets of fresh sand for their sculpture. Patting down the sand to be compact and smooth on his lap and legs before using sticks and their fingers to draw on scales and add details to his sand fins. König was beaming under his mask, resting his hands on his sides, tilting his head side-to-side to the beat of his own song he was humming
“Seriously?” Ghost’s shadow looked over the four of them, giving Shark’s eyes a break from the bright sun. He had his arms crossed and a raised eyebrow to show how much he finds their actions childish. A smile spreading on Soap and Shark’s face, while König waved happily.
Not even thirty minutes later Ghost was in the same position. Well, kinda, he was laying on his stomach, resting his chin in his hands. Feeling his teammates dump sand on his booty and legs. Gaz adding extra sand on his butt to give him an extra dumpy. Doing the same thing they did with König, who is laying down, lower half covered in sand, arms out like a starfish, basking in the sun.
“Seriously?” They all looked up, stunned when they see their captain looking down on them with his arms crossed, bucket hat over his head. Really? His best team of soldiers, that’s killed many, are turning themselves into sand mermaids? These soldiers have killed hundreds, infiltrated secret organizations, destroyed operations. And they’re playing mermaids to pass the time?
Not too long after, their captain followed the same fate as his two soldiers, buried in sand. Sunglasses on, without a care in the world. Many people walked by, finding it charming how such rugged and dangerous soldiers doing such teenage like acts. Price leaned back on his elbows while Soap and Gaz decorated his sand tail with seashells Shark was coming back to give them.
Later, Shark found coconuts and string to make coconut bras for each of the mermaids X3.
“Are they… dead?” Gaz asked, watching Shark float face down at the shallow end of the shore. Gaz and König were just soaking their feet in the water, taking in the beautiful scenery when Gaz noticed his comrade floating like a dead frog.
“I’m.. not sure” König tilted his head, bending down at the knees to try and determine if they are dead. Instead of actually checking or even just poking them with a stick, they just stood there and watched Shark’s body sway in the water.
—Gasp
Both jumped when Shark suddenly came up for air, pushing themselves up on their knees to stand up properly.
“Jesus, fuck!” “Scheiße! (Shit)” They both jump, not expecting for them to stand up so suddenly.
“Gotcha!” Shark squeals, holding a large seashell, holding it close to them it was as big as their head. Both were confused why it was so special and why they had to stand so still to look for it.
They both stood at either side of Shark, leaning in to look at the large shell. Maybe it was really pretty? Had a rare pattern, or just was rare in general. Shark smiled when they saw the cute little face of the hermit crab peek out of the shell then cover his face with his claws.
“Gross!” König yelped, immediately backing away and covering the eyes of his hood, startled once again by a sea critter.
“Sick” Gaz beamed. Leaning in closer, resting his elbow on Shark’s shoulder, to try and get a better look at the shy hermit crab.
The next day they were all sunburnt, except for Price. For the most part he stayed under the sun but when he was out swimming with his team he always made sure to put on sunscreen when he needed. The rest always put it off for later and never did.
READ PART ONE ⬆️
Mysterion still hasn’t revealed his identity. Professor Chaos is still conducting his plans, and everyone is scrambling to find out who the mysterious do-gooder is. Two friends have found out Mysterion’s identity, and Professor Chaos finds out they know.
(This sounds really dramatic but they’re all still kids playing lol. Think of it as like in the episodes)
Note! This is a ticklefic, so if you don’t like that, just keep scrolling
Double note: this fic is really super long I worked really hard for you guys 🫵
———————————————————————
Mysterion had called a nightly meeting between himself, Toolshed, and Human Kite in their superhero base. He was perched on the windowsill which he entered through, the wind blowing through his cape as he looked down at the two other heroes.
“So, you two haven’t told my identity to anyone? You’re sure?” Mysterion asks, his voice low and gruff. His demeanor is very serious, as if he didn’t even need to pretend to play the part.
“Yes, we understand why it must remain a secret.” Toolshed nods, trying to match his serious energy.
“You’ve explained a thousand times…” Human Kite mumbles.
“But I must.” Mysterion insists. “With you two knowing my identity, that could easily turn into three, into four, into-”
“Into everyone?” Interrupts a fourth voice, as Professor Chaos steps out of the shadows, causing the other boys to gasp.
Mysterion only glared. “Chaos. How long have you been listening?” He demands, his tone scathing.
“Long enough to know that those two are let in on your little secret!” Professor Chaos chirps up smugly, lifting his head high as he begins pacing while he speaks.
“So…how did you do it, huh? How’d you get it out of him? Because I know he wouldn’t tell you.” Chaos asks, his gaze flickered to Toolshed and Human kite.
The awkward memory makes Mysterion cringe as Chaos mentions exactly how the two discovered Mysterion’s identity.
“Um..” Toolshed started, as all eyes turned to him. “He..he did tell us! Because he trusts us!” Toolshed claimed, hoping Chaos would believe it.
“Bull hockey.” Chaos quickly shuts that down. “Now, tell me, how’d you get it out of him?” Chaos asked again.
“We..” Human Kite started, but Mysterion shook his head warningly.
“I can tell Mrs.Cartman at any moment that you boys are down here. You’ll all surely be grounded for..well..forever!” Chaos warns.
Toolshed and Human Kite gasped, but Mysterion shook his head. “He’s bluffing!” He said. “He’d also get grounded forever.”
Chaos laughed. “I’m never not grounded. I have nothing to lose.” He reminds them. “Now talk.”
———————————————————————
Mysterion was “trapped” on a crate in the basement, with “sharks” below him. The plastic shark toys whirred and moved around on the ground below him, as Professor Chaos stepped onto a smaller crate in front of Mysterion, slipping off his tinfoil gloves and cracking his knuckles.
“This won’t work.” Mysterion started, holding a brave face as he saw Chaos’ hands inch closer.
“Oh, but it will.” Chaos chuckled, as he leaned forward with his fingers wiggling, skittering them across Mysterion’s sides.
He drew a sharp inhale, holding his breath. He held a stubborn, unmoving frown as he fought the need to pull Chaos’s hands away.
“Don’t bother acting like it’s not getting to you.” Chaos chuckled. “I already know from the others that this works.”
“You’re terrible.” Mysterion grunted, still fighting back his reaction as Professor Chaos’s fingers scribbled across his belly and sides.
“No, Mysterion, I’m Chaos.” He said coldly, digging his hands into Mysterion’s armpits.
He stiffened, face reddening slightly as he pressed against the wall behind him, his scowl trembling.
“Just tell me your name and it’ll aaaalll be over..” Chaos taunted, as he swiped his fingers faster in Mysterion’s armpits.
“N-nehehehever!” Mysterion grumbled as he began to crack, his scowl flinching and twisting as he spoke.
“Come on~ I know you can’t resist this~ Coochie coo~” Chaos taunted him, as he scribbled his fingers down Mysterion’s ribs and into his waist and hips.
Mysterion couldn’t take it anymore. He gave a sudden squeal as he erupted into low, gruff giggles. The edge to his voice was already slipping.
“Aha, you’re breaking!” Chaos cooed. “Come on now, tell me what I wanna know. Tickle tickle~ Is this a good spot, huh? Is Mysterion ticklish here?” He continued teasing, as he skittered his fingers faster across Mysterion’s waist and up his sides, causing him to shriek.
He broke into Kenny’s frantic, breathless giggles as he began squirming, thrashing, and pushing at Chaos’ hands.
“Hmm~ who does that sound like? Clyde? No, he would’ve cracked faster..” Chaos began to devise who the mystery hero was by his loud laughter which was now filling the room.
“Craig? Maybe..but Craig’s more stuffy and snorty..” he went on, as he dug his hands back into Mysterion’s armpits, making his laughter jump to a higher octave.
“IHIHIM STILL NOT TEHEHELLING YOU AHAHANYTHING” Mysterion tried his best to sound menacing through his giggles as he made the promise.
“Come on now~ help me out. Do I hear Craig in there, or what?” Chaos continued, digging into Mysterion’s armpit with one hand, venturing down his side to his belly with the other.
“IHIHIM NOHOHOT SAHAHAHAYING!!” Mysterion retorted, thrashing and squirming to get away.
He was used to getting tickled through a thick parka, but his outfit for Mysterion was a lot lighter, and he was having a really hard time holding back.
“Come on, tell meee! Coochie coo~ tickle tickle~ come on!” Chaos continued tickling and teasing, but Mysterion wouldn’t give in.
Suddenly, Professor Chaos felt multiple hands grab him and pull him away from Mysterion. Toolshed and Human Kite?!
“I thought you two ran off!” Chaos gasped, as he was pushed to the ground and the three heroes suddenly surrounded him.
“I think it’s time to teach this villain a lesson.” Mysterion said, now out of breath, but mostly back to normal.
“Oh Jesus! Fellas, wait-!” Chaos was interrupted by his own shriek as all six hands started skittering, scribbling, and poking all across his midsection, drawing out as much squealy, boyish laughter as Chaos’ body would permit.
“BLAHAHAHAHASTED HEHEHEROES!!” He shrieked, trying to stay in character. “CEHEHEASE THIHIHIS MAHAHAHAHADNESS!!”
“Oh? But I thought madness was your middle name!” Toolshed teased, as he dug into one of Professor Chaos’ armpits, and with another hand, skittered across one side of his ribs.
“You can dish it out, but you can’t take it yourself?” Mysterion added, scribbling his fingers across Chaos’ belly and waist.
“Yeah, get a taste of your own medicine, Chaos!” Human Kite added, his fingers spidering up and down the villain’s other side.
“GAHAHAHAHAH! WAHAHAHAIT PLEHEHEASE!! I GIHIHIVE UHUHUP!” He shrieked, trying to thrash and protect his ticklish flesh, but the three heroes always found another spot.
“Alright, let’s let him breathe.” Human Kite said, pulling his hands away, quickly followed by Toolshed. Mysterion continued at it for another few moments before stopping as well, leaving the villain exhausted and gasping for air.
After a long moment of thought, Mysterion held out an offering hand to Professor Chaos.
“Truce?” He asked hopefully, getting a thoughtful look from the other. Chaos thought hard for a moment, reaching out for Mysterion’s hand…
Before getting up himself and turning, dashing away in evil fashion. “Never! I’ll get my revenge for this, you darn good-doers! I swear it!” He called, as he scrambled out the window.
Suddenly, a light turned on above the basement. “Eric? Is that you? Are you raising an army of feral cats in the basement again?” Liane Cartman’s voice was heard from outside the basement door. The three other boys quickly scrambled out the window as well; leaving the light on as they all shoved their way through, falling onto eachother as they ran out into the night.
friends close, enemies closer: part 2
A/N: expect weekly updates!
-
Summary: When your parents unexpectedly become wealthy from good investments, you're forced to leave your old life in the Cut and move to Figure Eight.  Right when you finally start to move on (thanks to the help of your best friend, Sarah Cameron), your old friends are suddenly forced into your life again. Getting comfortable with them means discovering their new lives and making amends for the past. And just when things couldn't possibly get any more complicated, you have to deal with your lingering feelings with a certain hot-headed blond.
word count: 2.6k
warnings: swearing, that's basically it
“Doesn’t look like you have chicken pox to me,” Sarah stated, searching your body for any red pox marks. “Or a shark bite either.” She looked around suspiciously. “Wait- were you lying to me?” She feigned shock and held her forehead in one hand while she leaned her body onto her white jeep.
“Oh, the horror.” You deadpanned, dragging your feet across the front gravel to get to your driveway. “Plus, you knew I was lying. You wouldn’t have come if you thought I was actually sick.”
She lifted her body back upright and scrunched her nose in thought. She nodded. “Yeah. Probably not.” She chuckled at the look of you, face miserable while you hauled a much-too-big beach bag over your shoulder. “You pack for the apocalypse?”
“Haha.” You looked at her with frustration and walked past her to put your shit in her trunk.
It was much too hot for the first Saturday of June. The air felt sticky, which wasn’t a new sensation on your skin, but definitely one that you didn't enjoy. Your hair would frizz up, sweat would bead and drop down off your forehead, and the odor of low tide was worse than ever.
“I packed all my bathing suits. I’m tan, but not summer tan, so I don't know which one will look the best. Plus, I don't know if they’ll still fit like I want them to.”
Sarah helped you shove the shit in the back before she looked over her shoulder. “Is this concern over making a good second impression? Or looking good for a certain blond?” She replies as she sees you almost tumble out of the passenger seat.
“It’s not! Can a girl not want to look good for the new tourists?”
Sarah giggled again, making sure you had your seatbelt on, and then started the minute drive to her house. You promised last week that you would hang out with them soon, and so you were here.
“I’m nervous!” Sarah groaned, gripping the steering wheel tighter and turning her head to look at you. “What if they think I’m stuck-up? Or a bitch because of what I did to Kie? Or, oh my god, what if they think I’m ugly?”
She looked petrified. The idea of anyone thinking of Sarah as ugly was unfathomable. She was undoubtedly stunning. She had the perfect face and ideal frame, not to mention that she had matured into the kindest woman you had ever met.
“Sarah.” You looked at her with gentle eyes. “You are the furthest thing in the world from ugly. I’m being serious. They may think you're stuck-up and a bitch, but that's why you hang out with them. You can show them the reason why John B likes you. Not as a rich Kook who wears a uniform to school every day.”
She smiled back, but she didn't seem convinced.
“Plus, if it makes you feel any better, if they gonna make fun of someone, it’ll probably be me.”
When you hit a red light, she finally turned back to see you. “Maybe. But at least we have each other.” You flicked her shoulder jokingly as the light turned green again.
“Ugh, that's even worse.”
-
When you finally finished your makeup and picked your outfit, you felt like you were going to be sick. The nerves had kicked in, if they were excited or anxious butterflies you couldn't tell. This could be the start of something new for you. A reconnection with people who you treated like home at one point.
You had a basic tee shirt and blue jean shorts on, rather than the cover-up dress that Sarah told you to wear. Although it had been a couple of years, you knew that they would mock you if you came to chill with a dress on.
Plus, you wanted to look familiar to them. Maybe, if you dressed the way you used to, it would be like a white flag. You nonverbally telling them that you were willing to just go back to the way things were, rather than pretend like nothing ever happened at all.
“They’re here!” Sarah yelled, racing out of her bathroom while sinking an earring through her ear. You followed her into the sunroom and watched her lace up her new black converse, embroidered with purple butterflies.
You ran over to the lace curtains and slowly peeked out from behind them. You saw the Twinkie, the gangs busted minivan, waiting in front of Sarah’s horseshoe driveway. You had to bite your lip to stop yourself from laughing out loud. The minivan looked so….out of place. Is this how your family looked the first year you moved?
“Ready?” Sarah asked, hand on the doorknob as you strode away from the window.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.”
Sarah opened the door and ran out to meet John B. She found her way into his arms, and you watched from afar as they laughed about something. She gestured to her Jeep, and they both started to walk toward the connected garage. You went to follow them, but John B saw you.
“Oh, we don’t need help, do we Sarah? It’s too hot. You can just go and find a seat in the Twinkie. Hope you don’t mind being a little squished.”
You smiled politely and turned away, heading in the direction of the car. You could already hear the music coming from the speakers, and you swear to god that the car shook from the intensity of the bass. You walked up to the handle, and opened it slowly, trying to focus on anything other than the fact that you were going to vomit.
As soon as you opened the door, the talking ceased. Three pairs of eyes all focused on you, all displaying different emotions. Kie looked giddy, excited about whatever they were talking about before you came into the car. Pope had the same look of confusion that you remembered from your childhood. He made you feel like you were the stupidest person ever with just one look. You would call it a superpower if it hadn't offended you so much.
And of course, sitting in the chair by himself, was JJ. He looked irritated, cheeks puffed out and arms crossed over his chest. When his eyes met yours, they hardened before he quickly looked away. You could tell he was mad at you. You just hoped it wouldn't be too awkward.
“Hey girl!” Kie chirped, giving you an awkward hug as you tried to maneuver through the car and to your seat.
“Hi, babe. Uh, hey Pope. Hey JJ.” You mumbled, putting on your seatbelt as you looked up to see them.
“What? Don’t trust John B to drive you now? Too used to your personal driver?” JJ mused, moving his legs farther from yours as he pulled out a joint from his pocket. You looked at him with unhappy eyes, but you knew this was just part of the process. Of course, they would be hurt. You were too.
“That's not it-” You tried to interject, but Pope cut you off.
“Ignore that, Y/N. JJ’s on his period today.” He lifted himself further off the seat and turned towards you. “JJ, watch this,” he reached his hand towards you. “Hey, Y/N. Long time no see! How’ve you been?” You shook his hand firmly, keeping eye contact as a smile spread across your face.
“I’ve been good! Just doing my thing. How have you been?”
“As good as one can expect from a dirty Pogue.” He looked at you with his eyebrows raised. You gaped back in shock, mouth starting to drop open before he spoke again. “I’m just kidding. I’ve been good!” He laughed, and you let go of the breath that you were holding.
“Good to know that you’re still cracking jokes.” You breathed out, listening to your heartbeat in your ears. You knew that you were gonna be the butt of the joke for a little while, but you genuinely thought you were gonna have a heart attack by the end of the trip.
Pope and JJ started to fight over who was going to get more leg space, and Kie looked over at you, bothered. “Sorry about them. They’re idiots.”
You bit back a laugh as you spotted John B strolling back to the car with Sarah, him struggling to hold both you and Sarah's bags. “So what your telling me is nothing has changed?”
She giggled again, throwing her head back and sighing as she grinned at you. “Yes and no.”
You heard Sarah pop open the trunk, and shifted yourself in your seat to make eye contact with her. You tried to signal something with your eyes, but she just looked at you smiling. You wanted to leave. The Twinkie was too full of not only people, but memories.
You watch silently as John B and Sarah slipped into the front, sending flirty glances to each other over the center console. You rolled your eyes to yourself, knowing that watching them flirt was going to be your own personal hell.
As you started to drive, you noticed that it was much too quiet. You looked over at JJ, who was mouthing something to Pope. He grinned while he talked, his tongue-in-cheek and eyebrows raised. When he caught your eye, he instantly stopped and made the 'kill sign' to Pope. You glanced over at Pope, but you couldn't tell what they were talking about.
“Secret secrets are no fun, unless shared with everyone.” You sing-songed, tutting as you shook your head at them. Pope shyly smiled at your comment, but JJ just scoffed.
His lips set into a thin line. “Wouldn’t have been a secret if you actually talked to us.”
You walked into that one. You instantly shut your mouth and turned back around. Kie rubbed your shoulder gently, and you could feel JJ’s eyes burning a hole through your face. The fact that he was, at one point, your best friend shocked you. He seems like he couldn't be more of a stranger.
“Kie, why are you consoling her?” JJ sputtered, shaking his head in disbelief. His attitude had never changed. When he started mumbling at the window, the whole car groaned in protest.
“Oh, of course, I’m the bad guy.” JJ muttered, eyes looking far out of the car.
“C’mon, man. Remember what I said.” John B urged, tapping the steering wheel in rhythm with the radio.
You feel your phone buzz in your pocket, and you use it as a way to ignore everyone else.
SAR-BEAR:
wtf
why is he being like that
you:
it’s JJ so idek
SAR-BEAR:
when i got in the car i was like
hot damn
maybe i picked the wrong one
but then he opened his mouth…
such an ick.
You laugh out loud at her text, quickly putting your hand over your mouth to muffle the noise. Sarah's head whipped back instantly, eyes wide open as she stared you down.
“Did you just fucking SNORT?” Sarah yells, disbelief wrapping her features. You try to deny it, but everyone in the car erupts.
“You most certainly did!”
“Don’t lie!”
“Is there a baby dinosaur in the car with us?”
“You still do that?”
You look over at JJ, his features softer than you’ve seen them all day. He looks like a kid, like he just learned something new for the first time.
“Yeah. I guess some things never change.” You look away quickly, eyes darting anywhere but his face as you feel a blush start to light your cheeks.
You wish you could say that JJ wasn’t attractive to you anymore, but he was. His skin was still tan, and a light sunburn brushed across his cheeks. His face was more chiseled than you remember, and he looked much more built than he did only 3 years before.
The car ride passed with quiet conversation, all friendly and polite. You mainly talked to Kie, catching up with each other about family issues and Kook events. It was nice to be back and just hanging out with them again.
When you finally got to the beach, you all spilled out of the side door and stretched your limbs. As many memories you had in the Twinkie, you couldn't lie and say that you were glad you were back in it. The air conditioning was broken, the seats were worn, and the general smell made you glad for your “new car” air freshener.
You didn’t bring your board, which you regretted when you saw all of the Pogues with theirs. You knew Sarah didn't have one, but John B would probably let her use his board. You picked your bag from the trunk and turned back to Sarah and Kie.
The girls were chatting quietly, and there didn't appear to be much tension. It wasn't a beautiful reunion, but no one was bleeding, which you took as a win.
“You didn’t bring your board?” JJ asked, tousing his hair with the hand not holding his belongings.
“No, I thought we were gonna go on JB’s boat. No biggie though, I’ll just tan or something.” You responded, looking into his eyes and shielding the sun with your hand.
“Oh. Well, if you get bored or something, you can, just like-” he glanced over his shoulder at Pope, who was observing your interaction intently. “swim around us, I guess.” He shrugged his shoulders slightly, cheeks reddening faintly. You knew he was just getting hot, but you secretly wished it was more.
“Oh. Thanks, Jay. I’ll think about it.” You smiled shyly. You watched him leave with a quick nod, and you went to go catch up with Sarah.
You spent the first part of the day on the sand, watching as the group fucked around in the sea. Because it was broiling today, you were sure that your towel was probably wet from the sweat pouring off you. When you got tired of pitying yourself, you got up and started to wade into the water.
Talking and hanging out with everyone felt normal. With Sarah in the group, there was an even amount of crazy and kooky. There was never a dull moment, and everyone seemed more at ease than you had remembered.
When you finally were dropped off at your house, your back was a faint pink and your hair was filled with salt. Taking a shower hurt like a bitch, but your mother always said showering with hot water after getting a burn helped the day after.
When you got into your bed, your phone suddenly beeped.  You saw a notification from a new group chat that had everyone from today's rendezvous, including JJ. You couldn't help but smile at your phone, seeing what John B was typing.
JB:
The DATE (Part 2)
This is the second part to COFFEE. I hope you enjoy it.
Bakugo x Kirishima x Reader (female)
- The next day the boys met you for coffee at the usual place. They were dressed in street clothes to avoid being recognized. Though you thought to yourself: Do they really think they are fooling anyone? They were both very large men. Standing over 6 feet tall easily with massive Greek God like bodies. Broad shoulders, snatched waists, ass and thighs for days. Not that you were looking (smile). Plus, Kirishima’s hair was a vibrant bright red. Even under his ball cap you could see it a mile away.
-You could tell they were nervous, as were you. After all, it’s not everyday someone gets to sit and have coffee with two pro heroes, much less two extremely handsome ones. What would you talk about? Why did you agree to this? They were just too cute when they asked, how could you say no? The conversation started simple enough. How are you? Can we get you a coffee? What do you like?
- Thank goodness for Kirishima and his endless chatter. He managed to keep the conversation going, “So what do you like to do for fun?” “Fun?...uhhh…well…can’t say I do much of that. (you gave a nervous smile) I am kind of a workaholic.” Bakugo let out a “mhmmm”. Kirishima laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, “Yeah, we can relate to that.” and shoots you a shark tooth grin. “Being pro heroes doesn’t leave us much time to enjoy life. Hey I know! Let’s come up with something fun to do on our next date.” “Yeah, whatever shitty hair.” Your mouth suddenly felt dry but at the same time you swallowed a huge amount of saliva, “DATE?”
-Was this a date? OH MY GOD! How could you be so stupid. The sudden realization of the situation hit you like a ton of bricks and you could feel your face getting hot and your palms start to sweat. Were you truly that clueless on social cues? Did the #2 and #8 Heroes of Japan want to date you?
-Meanwhile just one table across from you, in disguise, Toga and Twice were listening in on every word of your conversation. “(1st Twice personality) Damn it Toga, how are we going to get her now? She’s got two pro heroes after her and not just any heroes…freakin’ Dynamight and Red Riot. What do we do now? Kiss? (2nd Twice personality) Not a problem! I can take them!” “Hmmm…this does complicate things a bit. We’ll need to regroup. C’mon…let’s go.” “(1st Twice personality) Right behind ya.”
- “Well…it was really nice meeting the both of you but I…uh…I really must be going. Thank you for the coffee.” You stood to excuse yourself, which caught them both off guard. They could have sworn everything was going great. “Wh…what? Why?” Krishima asked in a whine, “Was it something I said?” “Can we at least walk you?” Bakugo responded, trying not to sound desperate. He really wanted to spend more time with you. “Uhhh…no. That’s ok. I’ll be ok. Sorry. Really. I…sorry.” and with that you sprinted for the exit.
-Kirishima turned to look at Bakugo “Did I come off to strong?” “Nah dumbass, I think we just overwhelmed her. Let’s go.”
- “DAMN HEROES! Always getting in my way.” Shigaraki’s voice came over the receiver with disgust. “Yeah!” “Alright…return to headquarters.” “Sure thing bos…” You run by bumping into Twice, “I’m sorry.” “(1st Twice personality) It’s ok! (2nd Twice Personality) HEY! Watch where you’re going lady!” “Jin! That’s her! Hey Shigi, send Kurogri now!”
- You fool! Why are you running? Why are you running away from them? They were so nice. It would have been nice to actually do something other than work for a change. Disappointing thoughts kept racing through your head that you didn’t even notice the purple mist appeared in front of you.
- After paying Bakugo and Kirishima left the coffee shop, “You think we should text her?” “Not yet dumbass. Let’s give her…” They heard a scream and looked down the street to see you being pulled into the purple mist by Toga and Twice. “DAMN IT! C’MON RED!”
- “You got me good last time sweetie but we got you now. Got someone we want you to meet. He is really anxious to see ya.” Toga said with a knife to your neck as she pulled you into the mist. “(1st Twice personality) Careful Toga. Don’t hurt her. Should we get married? (2nd Twice personality) Make her bleed!” BOOM!!!! “Don’t worry sweetie. I won’t let those nasty Heroes get you.” Toga hissed in your ear as you saw Bakugo exploding down the street towards you but you were soon surrounded by mist.
- “AHHHHH!!! CRAP!!!” Bakugo landed in the spot where the purple mist disappeared and blasted the ground. Kirishima appeared seconds later. “Wh…what just happened?” “UGH! They took her! Quick! Call the office. We need to find out where their hideout is.” In no time, Kirishima had every available agent and sidekick at Dynamight’s Agency looking for you and the League of Villains.
- “W…what do you want from me?” You were in a dusty abandoned warehouse surrounded by at least 5 villains. Some you recognized from the news, others you had never seen before. “Isn’t it obvious my dear? I want your quirk and your research too. I must say…something as wonderful as a “bottled up” healing quirk would come in quite handy.” Shigaraki let out a wicked laugh.
- Tears started to stream down your face as you thought back to the day when you were kidnapped as a child for this very same reason. You had sworn that you would never again let yourself get taken and yet here you were. How are you going to get out of this? “Awwww…don’t cry my dear. We aren’t going to hurt you…much.”
- “Kac-chan! We can’t just go blasting in. Kurogri will just warp her away. We need a plan.” “DAMN WARPY BASTARD! UGH! Fine Deku, what’s the plan then?” “Well…” Bakugo looks up from the table and sees Todoroki walking in, “Hold on…why the hell is IcyHot here?” “Bakugo, (y/n) is my friend.” “Huh? How the hell are you two friends?” Kirishima gives Bakugo a frustrated look, “Seriously, we don’t have time for this, Midoriya, what’s your plan?”
- You were frightened, tied to a chair and had no visible way of escape. If only you hadn’t panicked and ran off. You wouldn’t be here right now. You would still be enjoying your coffee with the two pro heroes who were obviously interested in you. You wonder if they were out looking for you. Of course they are, they’re heroes. The thought only made you feel guilty since it was your own fault you were in this mess. Shigaraki jumped to his feet, “I have a bad feeling. We need to move her. Before that blasty boyfriend of hers and the redhead find us. Kurogri, ready the warp.”
- “This better work nerd!” “It’ll work. Get ready to throw on 3.” “Don’t tell me what to do, Deku!” “1…2…3!” Bakugo threw a flash grenade through one of the warehouse windows. Temporarily blinding the whole league including yourself. Midoriya then used his smoke screen quirk, snuck into the building and grabbed you. Once outside he handed you to Kirishima. With you safely out of harms way, Bakugo and the other heroes charged in to capture the villains.
- “Are you ok?” “Other than not being able to see…yeah I'm fine.” “Uh…yeah…sorry about that. We needed to immobilize them so no one would try to escape. Here let’s get you checked out.” Kirishima carried you over to the EMS truck. Your eyesight returned quickly and you were so happy to see the shark tooth grinning redhead in front of you.
- After a few minutes and a whole lot of explosions later, Bakugo found you and Kirishima. “Hey! You ok?” “Yes.” you replied lowering your head in shame. “Hmm…idiot. Next time, let us walk you. Got it!” “Got it. Thank you!” “Yeah, whatever.” Kirishima smiled at the two of you and started to bounce on his toes, “Speaking about next time, how about we plan that second date?”
