Adrien and Marinette screwing each other's character development
That's literally what happened in season 5.
5 seasons of Adrien trying his best to break free of his dad's abuse and control only for Marinette to honors Gabriel's wish and make him believe he was a hero and a good parent, despite having front seat at his abuse, on top of fighting him, and Gabriel made the both of time cry. So now Adrien will forever think his father was a good man, when he was not. He will like his abuser, when the last episode showing them together has Adrien showing nothing but hatred toward his father for thinking he knew better for him when he was just doing what he wanted Adrien to do and not what Adrien wanted himself.
We spent 5 seasons watching Marinette trying and failing to confess to Adrien, only for him to confess to her instead which rendered kind of all her efforts pointless, on top of not having to learn the many lessons that she should have, like regarding his private life, or start seeing him as a person and not a perfect angel who can't do no wrong. They even had some jokes at her behavior, behavior that they later learned was because she had a traumatic experience which made her decide that the next poor sod that would catch her attention would not be permitted to have a private life whatsoever, just because she made an error of judgement and didn't listen to her friend's warning, something she keeps doing repeatedly during the series. She just gets her boyfriend and never has to change her behavior, and he doesn't get to maybe get mad or creeped out at all the stuff she did for him while she could barely speak to him, let alone struggle to stay close less she ran away out of being scared to ask him out. So her toxic behavior also doesn't get to be toned down. Biggest example is after learning that Gabriel is Monarch, she goes to speak to him because she wants Adrien back, not to stop Monarch once in for all. She has to when he finds her in his house and she can't hide much longer.
The main difference, Marinette has been aware since forever that Gabriel was pretty controlling with Adrien and got depressed over it several times since it meant she couldn't hang out with him. And she still sided with his abuser because she didn't want Adrien to deal with the backlash of knowing his father was the local terrorist of the city. A guy she spent 5 season fighting, and spent the last episode of season 5 beating up because he prefered to go with his crazy scheme instead of respecting his wife's last wish. And she decides to respect Gabriel's last wish instead of being honest with Adrien and the rest of the city, which I'm sorry to say, is beyond horrible of her. People deserves the truth, so does Adrien, stop coodling him like his father tried, he doesn't need it.
Meanwhile Adrien just learned in the last season that she had a crush on him. And saw her doing some pretty weird stuff, but never truly saw the real depths as to how far Marinette was willing to go to get his love. He didn't see her bully Kagami, he didn't see her lie and manipulate her parents to make her follow him to Shangai and abandoning her uncle on his birthday just to go stalk him, among other stuff. So he isn't aware of the worst of Marinette, and half of it he thinks she's just weird because to him that's how she's always been, weird and quirky but still charming and cute somehow.
I kind of just realised that while reading other posts about those subjects and just saw that they both ruined each other's development, Adrien unintentionally and Marinette, intentionally.
EDIT: chocolatevoidpizza made me realize I was victim blaming Marinette for the cruel prank she went through in Derision via the line "just because she made an error of judgement and didn't listen to her friend's warning".
That is unfair on Marinette and I apologize for writing that and take it back.
I however won't delete it cause I need the reminder to not have a repeat of that and I need the lesson.
So thank you chocolatevoidpizza for opening my eyes and knocking sense back into me.

In hindsight, you should have known better.
Everyone warned you against him. Your sister Elena, your ex-boyfriend Stefan, Demon, Bonnie, Caroline, Katherine, even his own siblings.
But no, you knew better. You could change him, you saw him as a good man who might be harsh to others but would never dare to do you any harm. A man who would care for you until his last breath. Who would never intentionally make you feel insecure or uncomfortable. Which will never make you fearful or anxious.
But now, as you sit on his bed in his bedroom in New Orleans after he locked you here last night when you threatened to leave him and that damn city in a fit of anger, you feel like he might have crossed this line with you a very long time ago.
You couldn't deny that the truth wasn't far behind you.
But it was too embarrassing to face the fact that you voluntarily abandoned Stefan—your sweet, always supportive boyfriend—for this devil in disguise who seduced you with his pretty words.

"Our bed?" he asked, annoyed by my presence. "What's wrong with it? I just replaced it yesterday."
"I want to move out of here." my confident, firm statement effectively snapped him out of his painting trance. He put down his supplies and gave me his full attention for the first time in two weeks.
"What?"
"We're not good to each other. I think it will be better..."
"You're joking, right? Love, you can't live without me." he interrupted me, laughing amusedly as if I had told him a funny, stupid joke.
"Well, over the last few months, I've proven that I'm doing great. Besides, I don't remember you holding my hand before I turned seventeen. I don't need care, Klaus."
"A few months? I was right next to you all this time; are you hallucinating, love?" his feigned concern, laced with a clear desire to unnerve me, almost worked. But I'd replayed that moment too many times in my head to succumb to his games so quickly.
"Do not make fun of me. I'm serious. I've had enough, Klaus. Your condescending behavior, your sudden outbursts of jealousy, and the slow erosion of my independence. You think I didn't notice how suddenly my credit card and my car keys disappeared? Or how suddenly every man or woman, after talking to me, magically ends up in the hospital? Are you going to punish your siblings too for talking to me?"
"It's all up to you, love. You can start acting like a good girl again, or I'm going to get a little... nastier."
"Nastier? Could you be even nastier than you already are?"
"Be careful, love. I'm not the one of us with mortal siblings that could be killed at any time."
"Are you threatening me with the deaths of my own siblings? Where is your fucking border, Niklaus?! Look at us! This is toxic, we're in a toxic relationship! You promised me that you would never, ever treat me like one of your enemies, like a fucking impostor, but that's all you're doing since these damn three months we've been here! I'm not going to be part of your plan or play your fucking toy anymore. This is ending right here. I am leaving, and I do not want to see you again."
As you might have guessed, you hadn't even taken a step out of his studio. He pressed some liquid-soaked cloth over your mouth and nose, and you passed out in his arms. Now you are here, locked in his room, which you once thought was yours too, and waiting for the hybrid's decision. What you wouldn't give to hear Elena's or Stefan's calm voice right now.

"Oh! Hi, sweetheart." Klaus' sudden arrival in the living room startled me. The man stared at me wordlessly, watching my every move carefully. Still, I smiled at the oddly behaving hybrid and tried to talk to him. Apparently, something must have been bothering him since he has been so… different lately. Maybe today I'll be lucky. "How was your day? You disappeared from our bed earlier; I didn't even get a chance to say hello to…" the shattering of glass against the wall dangerously close to where I was standing effectively silenced me.
"DON'T LIE TO ME! I saw you with Marcel in the pub earlier. If you missed me so much, what the hell were you doing with him?!"
"Klaus. Please, try to calm..."
"Don't even try to calm me down! You're cheating on me with this lesser vampire?! While I'm tearing my veins out to keep your mortal ass alive every damn day?!"
"I DON'T KNOW what you have seen, but if you stay a little longer and listen to us, you will know I was talking about you. I'm worried about you; you act completely different than when we were in Mystic Falls."
"You don't even realize how incorrect this comparison is." he laughed at me, turning his back on me to walk over to his minibar and pour himself a drink.
"Sweetie, maybe it would be better for us, if we took a short vacation? Just you, me, and some nice place. What do you think? We can even go back to Mystic Falls." I tried to ignore his furious provocation and smooth things over.
"So you could see your Stefan?" he said it bitterly, drinking a whole glass of bourbon at once..
"What?" I turned to stare at the angry, jealous hybrid in disbelief.
"Never mind. It's a ridiculous idea anyway. I have to stay here and finish things. I can't just take breaks. Do you know how many enemies I have here against me and how hard I have to work to keep my family and you safe? Knowing your girlfriend is a slut who throws herself at any man she comes across doesn't help at all." that's it. I had officially had enough of his condescending, humiliating behavior.
"You know, you might be right. I was slutty whore enough to get into your fucking bed." I growled furiously, trying to get out of the room and away from his overpowering presence. However, the original wouldn't let me have the last word. He grabbed my elbow in a firm, bruising grip.
"Stop acting like that or…"
"Or what?! What did you gonna do?! I'M ALREADY IN HELL! Killing me would only be a favor on your part."
Suddenly, he pulled me to him, so I crashed into his chest. He wrapped his arm around me in a tight hug, not letting me move an inch from him, and with a tenderness that was surprising for me at this moment, he ruffled the stray strands of hair that fell over my eyes in the heat of our argument.
"Who said I would get rid of the most valuable thing in my life? No, love. You will never run away from me. You sealed your bloody fate the moment those alluring, pretty lips smiled at me in challenge." he came towards me, with each step he took towards me, he forced me to back up until I bumped into the wall. "You're mine. And no one, not even you, can change that now." he said, grabbing my chin and forcing me to look into his eyes.
"Fuck you."
"You want? I didn't know you were into make-up sex, love. I would have used it a long time ago." his devilish smirk used to make my heart flutter; now I couldn't feel anything but revulsion.

"Y/N?" Rebekah's whisper snapped you out of your thoughts about your toxic relationship with her brother. "Are you there?" you frowned as you walked over to the door and put your ear to the cold wood.
"Bekah?" after a while, the crunch of metal could be heard in the quiet mansion, and the door to your makeshift cell was opened.
The blonde's sympathetic gaze sent chills down your spine, and the reason you've been so persistent in avoiding Klaus's siblings as well as him was instantly reminded of you. All those sad and anxious looks made you sick to your stomach. You preferred to indulge in beautiful, dead silence in a corner of the house than to be in the same room with any of them. At least no one treated you like a victim.
"Y/N. Come. We need to hurry up. I don't know how much time we have left." she took your hand carefully and gently dragged you to the porch in front of the house.
"Rebekah, what are you doing?" you asked and pulled your hand from her gentle embrace.
"I'm rescuing you from my brother. He completely went mad after your argument. He's more paranoid than usual, and believe me, it's only a matter of time before he goes back to his maniac state. You're not ready to deal with this. You're just a human; you can't protect yourself from him anymore. Elijah thought maybe you'd be his anchor and help keep him normal, but this has gone too far, and I'm not going to watch what he does to you anymore. So I'm giving you a chance to leave."
"This isn't just about me. I can see it in your eyes. He did something to you, and you want to get revenge on him; make him pay for it. I want to know what he did."
"He's holding Marcel somewhere. I can't let my brother kill him before I get to him, so I'll focus his attention on something else."
"On my escape."
"Exactly."
"This won't work, Rebekah. If Klaus has a plan, sooner or later he will carry it out. He will not be stopped by the loss of some simple mortal."
"I know something about my brother, Y/N. Maybe he's now in his imperious mood and wants to take control over this city, but he loves you. In his crazy way, he cares about you. Not because he claimed you as his, but because he has some feelings for you that he may not understand clearly. I've never seen him like this before with any woman. But he is Niklaus after all. His hunger for power is greater than anything else." the blonde stopped, noticing something over your shoulder. She sighed with relief. You turned to see a black car pulling into the driveway. "Finally."
"Who is that?"
"You will see. You will be happy." she handed you a bag that was waiting outside the front door and led you to the parked car. After a while, the only person you wanted to be with you ran out of it.
"Lena?"
"Y/N!" the brunette screamed, throwing herself on your neck and hugging you tightly. "I missed you so much." you suddenly felt someone take the weight off your bag. You pulled away from your sister to look at Stefan Salvatore himself. Someone you least expected to be your savior.
"Thank you, Rebekah. We'll be fine from here."
"Take care of her!"
"We will. Get to the car, ladies. We have a long road ahead of us."
Without a single word of explanation, Elena grabbed your hand and dragged you into the backseat, positioning herself so she could hug you from behind and comb your hair. You sighed, grateful for a little peace and comfort from her reassuring touch.
Stefan threw your bag into the front seat and started the car, leaving this damn city as fast as he could.
To your great relief, none of them gave you sympathetic looks or words of comfort. You drove in a pleasant silence, punctuated by the sound of the engine running as Stefan gave it more throttle. You thought you were going to get dizzy from how quickly you dodged the burning lampposts, the light of which was pouring in and out of the car window like you were at a disco.
You just couldn't shake one lingering thought from your mind that had been nagging you ever since Elena had shoved you into the car with a pleased, malicious smile from Rebekah.

As it turned out, Stefan drove you to your parents' old summer house near the mountains. You were glad that they chose this place as your hiding place. You've always hated it, but at least your forced stay won't destroy any of your childhood memories.
And judging by Elena's amused smirk when she saw your grimace, you guessed that her choice of location wasn't so accidental.
Your bodyguard (that's what you've called Stefan since you arrived) and your sister have been living here for two weeks now. You haven't had a single message from Klaus during this time. Nothing. No threatening text messages, no drunken, desperate voicemails begging for your return, or at least one goddamn call. Nothing. Totally. You were more worried about his silence than if he was bombarding you with a thousand messages. You wondered how much of that was deliberate to scare you, and how much of it was possible that his sister had finally finished him off.
You shuddered at the thought that he might be dead.
"Are you cold?" Stefan's question was the only prejudice on his part until he threw the blanket over your shoulders. "It's not the time of year to think on the balcony at night, would you agree?"
"Maybe. But sometimes we do stupid things. Probably too much in my case." you tried to make a joke, but you met his worried look instead. "Come on. It was funny."
"That he used you and mentally abused you? You have a messed-up sense of humor."
"He didn't abuse me. He was just…"
"He treated you like a favorite toy, gradually restricting your access to the world and making you feel like you couldn't live without him. If you call it caring, you're going to go to New Orleans and rip out his cold heart, if only he has one."
"Don't talk like that. You know he would kill you before you even reached him."
"You sound like you still have feelings for him even after he tricked you into loving him and locked you in the gilded cage of New Orleans."
"Don't sound so offended. It's none of your business what I feel for him. I'm not your girlfriend, Stefan."
"No. But you used to be my princess." he replied bitterly.
"And yet, I truly wanted to be his queen. He didn't trick or fool me into loving him, Stefan. Everything I felt for him was real. I know this seems silly and naive to all of you, but… you didn't see him as he was when it was just the two of us. You didn't see the gaze he gave me every time he looked at me. He was so charming, loving, and caring, and with him I felt… free. Not for as long as we can see, but still. I felt like he was the only one for me."
"You can still come back to me. I never stopped loving you, Y/N. Not even a little bit. This nightmare can end right now. Just say a word."
"Stefan, you know I'll always love you." you began, taking his hand and looking into his eyes, feeling guilty for his hopeful look. "But I'm not in love with you anymore, and I don't know if I could be ever again. I'm so sorry, Stefan, but you deserve someone better than me. Someone who'll love you and adore you, who'll be a princess for your prince charming."
"I don't know if I'll ever find someone else I can love as much as you."
"Believe me, you'll find. One day on your way will appear some beautiful, less fucked up girl who will give the world to you, but… it won't be me, Stefan."
"How can you, after everything he's done to you, still care about him?"
"He's half of me, Stef. My worse half, I have to admit, but I can imagine myself with someone else. And maybe I'm stupid and blind and have too much hope in him, but I know that there is good in him. Maybe I can't reach him, but someday someone will. And everyone will see the man I fall in love with. Not his bad, terryfing a shell he created to protect a broken boy inside him." he leaned towards you placing a tender kiss on your forehead.
"I'm afraid you might not live to see that day, Y/N." he whispered, leaving me alone with my thoughts on the balcony.
You sighed, closing your eyes and feeling a single tear roll down your cheek. It would be so much easier to love Stefan than Klaus.

"Well. I wish your sister wasn't the first thought that comes to your mind after our first hot, long night together, but I can live with that as long as I have you in my bed."
"Don't make fun of me!" I tapped him on the arm, smiling as I heard his beautiful, carefree laugh. "This is a serious situation, Miakelson. If she knew I slept with you the same day I broke up with her boyfriend's brother, she'd gouge my eyes out."
"I think they were well aware of the tension between us. Beyond me is how you managed to stay faithful to him and not succumb to my charms earlier. You resisted bravely, love."
"What can I say? You followed me around until you finally begged. In hindsight, I should have let you chase me a little longer."
"So you like it when I beg? Should I get down on my knees then, for my queen, and beg her to let me please her again?"
"Insatiable bastard."
"Only for the touch and affection of my queen." I pulled away from him with a mischievous smirk, watching his face contort in feigned horror as his eyes still shone with pure amusement and happiness. "Oh, no... I know that smile. What did my cruel queen has in mind?"
"So, can I officially call you my boyfriend?" he groaned in embarrassment, pulling away from me and covering his face with a pillow.
I laughed as I climbed on top of him and removed the pillow from his face. I lay down on top of him, resting my chin on his chest, close to his collarbones. We stared at each other for a moment, completely infatuated with each other. After a while, Klaus reached out his hand and brushed my hair behind my ear. His hand slid from my cheek, over my shoulder, arm, and hand, until he stopped, playing with my fingers. He kissed each of my fingers before suddenly slipping something onto my ring finger.
I pulled my hand out of his grip, examining the new simple gold ring on my finger.
"Don't worry. It's not what you think. I'm not going to propose to you with some ordinary ring. You can trust me to go all the way, then."
"So what is it?"
"There were no such illogical, unstable phrases as boyfriend or girlfriend in my day. If two people liked each other, they usually courted each other. I believe in your day it's called a promise ring."
"Aside from the fact that you almost proposed to me, or at least declared your intentions to do so, and did one of the sweetest things in the world, are you implying that those looks and gifts and all that romantic talk and gestures weren't courtship?"
"Of course not. It was meant to arouse your love for me. Now I can confidently declare my feelings and devotion."
"As if you were holding yourself back or feeling insecure in any way."
"Was I too…"
"A little" I cut him off before he could finish. "But that's one of the reasons I felt for you. Now, kiss me and delight your queen, as you said earlier."
"As you wish, my love." he murmured, kissing me with all his fervor.
You woke up, looking around the room in disappointment. You've had these dreams ever since you left New Orleans. Flashbacks to those good times, when your self-interest was untainted by his problems and manipulations. When butterflies appeared in your stomach every time your skin touched.
You read in some stupid teenage magazine that it's safer to choose the boy who doesn't make you feel butterflies in your stomach. This one would keep you safe. However, knowing what awaits you as Klaus' girlfriend in New Orleans, would you change your decision? Probably not. Would you change your behavior? Definitely yes. You would never let him have that kind of control over you a second time.
You jumped out of bed abruptly as you felt nausea approaching for the fourth time this week. As you leaned over the toilet, you felt someone hold your hair and stroke your back. You relaxed, sensing Elena's presence behind you. When you finished and started brushing your teeth to get rid of that awful taste, you caught your sister's worried look in the mirror.
"What?" you asked, spitting toothpaste into the sink.
"Y/N, I don't think we can avoid this topic any longer." she sighed as she walked over to the bathroom cabinet and took out a rectangular package. She threw it in your direction. You frowned as you recognized what was currently in your hands.
"Are you crazy? Pregnancy test? Like, how could I be pregnant by a vampire?"
"Just do it for me. Please." she asked, looking at you with her most adorable pleading eyes.
"You're going crazy in your old age, but okay. I will grant your stupid request. But get out. I'm not going to pee in front of you."

Elena was right… you were pregnant.
You stared in disbelief at the positive pregnancy test, wondering how this could have happened.
Klaus was a vampire, so it was impossible for him to get you pregnant, but you stood in the bathroom crying over the positive test you had, at one point throwing it down the sink in panic.
Even if you were somehow magically pregnant with Klaus, this couldn't be happening right now. Not while you and he were standing on shaky ground in your relationship. Not when he acted like an obsessive bastard who would surely lock you in his room for 9 months or more after learning that a bun was in the oven for fear of something bad happening to you two.
However, despite everything, all you felt was an unimaginable longing for the father of your (possibly existing) child. He should be here, right next to you, you should rejoice with him about this news and it should be the happiest day of your life.
Instead of this, all you get was the cold, gold ring on your finger, which was making fun of your current situation. And the first tears, which were already dripping from your cheeks onto the floor.
But you decided to pull yourself together to make sure you weren't only concerned about yourself anymore.
"Elena! Can you call Bonnie?!"

You started making excuses a week ago, saying that the baby and you needed more food, and you ordered absolutely everything you wanted. Including fast food, chocolate, ice cream, and weird midnight cravings. To be honest, you were beginning to fear that one day you might want to drink blood, but that was a problem for another day. Now you had to get the pizza.
The problem is that when you opened the door, you saw someone completely different than the pizza delivery guy. Unless Klaus decided to make extra money and is a lousy pizza delivery guy.
"Hello, love."
Shit. You shouldn't text Rebekah that you need to meet. But hey! You thought the blonde had pacified him. So it was appropriate to inform any of the Mikaelsons that they were going to be uncles/aunt, wasn't it?
"Hi." his messy sight didn't make you feel any better. Apparently, this month has not been easy for him either.
"Can we… can we talk?"
"Talk. For obvious reasons, I have no intention of letting you into the house." you replied coldly, not thinking about making it easy for him. He screwed up, you will let him try to fix you two now.
"Of course. I wouldn't blame you at all if you slammed the door in my face." he replied, laughing, trying to lighten the situation somehow.
You raised an eyebrow, completely unfazed, which made him even more embarrassed. It's probably the first time you've seen him in such a precarious state. He always knew what to do and when to do it. Apparently, he must have really come here as quickly as he could, without any plan in mind. All right. At least you'll know his true intentions sooner.
"Honestly, I should probably do that. But I think we've long established that I don't usually do what I'm supposed to do. You have five minutes."
"Where to start here…"
"An apology would be fine. So is the story of how Elijah managed to get your mind back to normal after accusing everyone of treason and scheming behind your back."
"We both know you don't believe in empty words like sorry, but if you want to hear it, I'm more than ready to beg on my knees for your forgiveness, and that really means something, love. Besides, it wasn't my brother's doing. After you left, something in me... snapped. But the situation made it impossible for me to find you so quickly and try to make amends in any way."
"And what was that?"
"I couldn't believe what Elena told me, but apparently it's true." your conversation was interrupted by Stefan, who stood next to you in the doorway. Klaus winced as Salvatore put his arm around your shoulders, but didn't say a word.
"Stefan." Klaus greeted him coldly, completely surprising you that he hadn't tried to pounce on the younger vampire.
"Klaus. I knew you had some impudence, but I thought after 1000 years you'd learned any decency and you will left her alone."
"Stefan." you scolded him, breaking your eye contact with the hybrid for a moment.
"No, Y/N. You shouldn't be standing here talking to him, much less opening the door for him."
"Nobody, not even you, will tell me what to do." you growled, flicking his arm off of you, much to the original's relief and delight.
"Do you really care about him that much? Can't you just walk away from him?" Like you did from me. He forget to add. You saw this resentment in his eyes, and you couldn't blame him for it. He had a right to feel that way after you broke his heart.
"I can't."
"Why?"
"Because he's going to be a father of my child." wow. It's very interesting how one sentence could make these two stunned.
"What?'
"Child?"
"Yes. In a very nutshell, as a half werewolf, you can have children. Surprise! You should start using some protection. Stefan, could you give us a second?" the shocked vampire obediently walked away, leaving you alone with the befuddled hybrid. "Are you okay? You look pale. Do vampires faint?"
"You're pregnant. With my baby."
"Yes, I thought we already established that."
"And you… do you want to keep it?"
"Yes and it would help if you didn't call our baby it."
"Try to put yourself in my position. This morning I was in New Orleans fighting with my siblings, Mikael and Esther and now…"
"Wait. What? Your parents? What happend? Are you okay?" in your concern, you didn't even notice that you had left the house. You were standing in front of him and touching his face, looking for any sign of injury.
"I'm fine, love. I'm perfectly fine now." he murmured, leaning against your hand, absorbing every ounce of touch you were giving him.
You sighed, resting your forehead against his, letting yourself get lost in the familiar scent of his perfume for a moment. The mere fact that he didn't move an inch to touch you made you believe in his sincere desire to repair your relationship (as well as irritating that even though he was so close, you still had a long way to go to reunite.)
"Don't even think those sweet eyes of yours will make me forget what happened. You're going to have to do your best to make up for the fact that instead of talking to me about your concerns, you decided to make sure I didn't abandon you by making me as dependent on you as possible."
"So you still think my eyes are sweet?"
"Shut up." I murmured. Klaus pulled away from you so he could see your face. His serious expression dispelled the playful mood beetwen you two.
"I love you, Y/N. I'll do anything to get you to trust me again, but until that happens, we'll do everything on your terms. I'll buy you whatever house you want, a car, a dog, a cat—name a thing and you'll get it. I will make sure that you and our child do not lack anything. Even if you decide we shouldn't be together."
"You must really want me if you're ready to buy me a cat."
"I remember you arguing with me that they were Satan's spawn." he rolled his eyes, wrapping his arms around my waist tentatively. I hugged him to me, allowing this small expression of tenderness between us. I missed him just like that.
"I think you're exaggerating it a bit, love. I called them my natural enemies."
"Of course, wolfie." I said, hugging him again.
Maybe, together, we do feel right after all.

The part about Kate's trauma and grief being glossed over in both the show and book is such a mood. I honestly kind of dislike the whole resolution to her fear of storms because a) traumatic memories and irrational fears don't WORK like that, sometimes people have to actively try and unlearn those kinds of responses, and Kate was given none of the focus for that, and b) it just made her own trauma and complicated history go back to Anthony's irrational fear of love which also just had a baffling resolution (Colin just telling him to go back to his wife and Anthony's like "I'm magically cured"???). There's just too much buildup and potential yet zero work-through with either of these things. This is why I'm not really supportive much of book stans who go above and beyond for the book and gloss over not only these specific issues but the general way in which Kate is sort of "mellowed down" the minute her and Anthony marry, and the fact that the book just glosses over her having to suffer through her own insecurities while Anthony insists upon never loving her while also expecting her to be sexually available to him as his wife. I would've been completely fine if they continued to do it throughout their marriage when she still think he wouldn't love her, btw, but the book never grapples with how Kate could feel about that beyond being apparently dismissive of it, nor with how Anthony is actually being pretty shitty to her because he doesn't even offer her a full good explanation as to why he says this. This is a general problem in the show AND in the book: Anthony's not allowed to be shitty and viewed as the shitty guy that he is in various moments. The book has him kiss and grope her while she's in a state of fear and then he's fine with still pursuing Edwina and no one even bothers to think of how fucked up this is?? Instead Kate spends one day with him and is made to think he's a hero just because he escorted Penelope in his home when it's the most basic gesture you can make as a gentleman. Even in the show when you have him struggle with his engagement, he never offers any apology to Edwina or even considers to apologize to Kate. Like yeah ok I get it, mirrors of each other and all that but frankly Kate shouldn't be expected to just understand why Anthony proposed to her sister and then want to back out so much in the first place if he wasn't 100% serious about it AND he didn't spend half his time sniffing her like a dog. The show shifts the main conflict away from the trio to just Kate and Edwina by episode 7 and Anthony by then is almost completely fine?? Whereas both sisters suffer through having to get back into society's good graces by pretending it's all fine.

Yeah, the books did very little to explore kate's grief and trauma, and the show never improved on that. I see the argument that kate's grief and trauma were done to parallel her to Anthony a lot, and I agree, but the show does the same thing. Her role in the family and even her parentification, Mary's absence, is done to make her more similar to Anthony... it wasn't done for eldest daughters in Indian households representation. You can interpret it that way, but the writers didn't do that intentionally. And the changes to Kate's trauma are fine, but the show doesn't even explore any of it or the Sharma family history or dynamics. The epilogue acts like Kate is somehow magically healed by one convo with Mary and a declaration of love from Anthony. The one time Kate and Edwina talked about their father, it had to do with Anthony, which was very irritating. The show's best changes were hiring Simone Ashley, aging Kate up and getting rid of her insecurity over her looks. But ultimately, book and show stans should realise that both versions treated Kate's character and grief as an afterthought to Anthony and his character and grief.
It's wild how much show!anthony got away with. In the books, Anthony's shitty behaviour affected Kate, but in the show, it affected her and her entire family. His actions cause a massive scandal for them. But somehow, none of them are angry at him. Anthony proposes to her sister less than 12 hours after he nearly kisses her in the study, and the show doesn't even let her be mad. Like we see her be sad and devasted but not angry? I'm supposed to believe that she isn't angry at Anthony for doing that to her? or that she isn't angry at Anthony for stringing Edwina along?? I mean, the whole thing should be a complete lack of respect & consideration for both sisters. Kate is the type of person who would be angrier at someone hurting her loved ones than someone hurting her. Don't get me wrong, I still blame Anthony for 90% of what happened, and there isn't anything Kate could have done to stop him, but it's wild that Kate (and Mary and Edwina) aren't the slightest bit angry. But I think that has less to do with Kate's character and more to do with the fact that the show is allergic to having the Bridgerton main character face any consequences.
I think my biggest issue with the Edwina/Kate conflict is that it never really addresses the issues in their relationship. And I think that’s because they were never really allowed to talk about anything that wasn’t Anthony or related to Anthony in some way.

What do they have from Good Omens:
Rob has the statue from St. Beryls, all four motorbikes from the four horsemen, Crowley’s Devon watch, box signed by David Tennant with Crowley’s sunglasses and Aziraphale’s cocoa mug with Michael Sheen’s DNA :).
Douglas has the playing cards from Episode 1 and heavily annotated Good Omens book they used for filming with inscription by Neil: ‘For Douglas, make us love, make us cry, 3rd August 2017’.
Neil has Aziraphale’s chair from the bookshop that he bought from the BBC and he uses it for Zoom meetings.
What is their favourite thing that was not in the book and was added to the TV show:
Neil: all of the first half of Episode 3 - an absolute joy.
Rob: also the beginning of Episode 3.
Douglas: David Arnold’s music and Peter Anderson’s front titles.
Could Aziraphale get out of the Bastille easily if he wanted to?
Neil: if he could: absolutely. Did he have any conception of the mess he was in: probably not. It’s one of Neil’s favourite pieces of acting - the absolute delight on Aziraphale’s face when he realizes that Crowley’s there and then he turns around and rather petulantly, grumpily goes oh it’s you - that moment of joy on Aziraphale’s face when he realizes that he’s been rescued is one of Neil’s favourite things. 
Neil and yoghurt starter: I had this slightly mad thing where I would explain to everybody that fans were yoghurt starter. And I said, ‘Basically you start out with yoghurt starter and you put it into your warm milk and you leave it, and the yoghurt starter goes off and turns the entire thing into yoghurt. 
Neil realized that there was a cat in his house (Neil doesn’t have a cat :)). After the panel Neil said that he was going to look for the cat with a can of sardines and Douglas joked that he would find Michael Sheen in a cat costume.
What was the best and worst about making the series:
Douglas: the best - the camaraderie, getting to know the people, the cast and crew. 
Rob: the best - realizing that the book could be translated to the screen and watching it happen. The worst - coming to the end of the shoot and saying goodbye to everybody.
Neil: the best - the amount of love from everybody, the worst - fighting budget battles (producers wanted gone all of the cold opening and the death of Agnes Nutter).
Did they expect that Good Omens would attract so many LBGTQ+ people and how they feel about that:
Neil: Yes, absolutely. There are definitely people out there who seem to think that I accidentally wrote a love story with all of the beats of a love story including a break-up halfway through, without somehow noticing that I’d written a love story. And I may not be the brightest candle on the candelabra, but as an author who’s been doing it for a long time, I’m very well aware of when I’m writing a love story, thank you very much. And so from my perspective I knew that the love story would be one of the driving things that would get us from the beginning to the end. And I also made a bunch of decisions about our angels and our demons in terms of casting, in terms of gender that everybody backed me up on, which I loved. You know, the idea that the archangel Michael is played by Doon [Mackichan] is something that is... or Beelzebub is Anna Maxwell Martin, whatever, there’s... it’s not like we are going: these are women, there are men, we are going: these are demons, these are angels. They... this is not a thing. And also doing something like Pollution, where you go in and go: okay  well if we were doing this in... if 1989 was now, if there were they pronouns, we probably would have done that. We didn’t think of it at the time but that’s no reason why we can’t do it now. And we did and I remember having a... not exactly a battle, but a... my very tiny skirmish with one of our execs who was very nice and very bright and was like: ‘Why are you saying they?’, and I’m like... and I... explaining, and he’s like: ‘Well I’ve never heard of that before.’, and I’m like: ‘Oh, okay, but trust me, just trust me, it’s all fine, just trust me.’
Douglas: And you know I have to say, just following on what Neil’s saying, I’ve been directing for quite a while, and I tend to notice if characters are falling in love, I tend to notice a love story happening in front of me, and I think it’s there, and everything is meant, guys, everything is meant.
Neil added: I would just say, there are some things that you do while you’re writing a script intentionally. The fact that... I wanted to do this, well, it was a thing I did that I really enjoyed doing... where whenever people accuse them of being a couple: they don’t deny it, they don’t argue, there’s no flustering on their part. They absolutely… you know, everybody… what I’m trying to say is:  yes, other people in the story are perceiving them as a couple too. And here is Uriel perceiving them as a couple, here is wonderful Dan [Starkey, playing the passerby] …and you know, you do scenes like that because that’s... you are trying to make a point here and you’re trying to make a point on how people are perceived.
Season 2, yes or no [fiends, all three of them!]:
Douglas: What’s that?
Neil: Of what?
Rob: Is it muted for me as is for everyone else?
Neil confirmed that they are going to be Funko Pops. [yay!]
2. David G. Arnold (the music composer)
He didn’t read the book before he was approached to do the music. He was asked to do it by Douglas Mackinnon he knew from the Victorian episode of Sherlock and he said yes before even knowing what it was about because he wanted to work with Douglas again.  
The first piece of music he wrote for the show was the brass band doing the Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon [Episode 6, in the park before the kidnapping].
The second piece of music he wrote was the lullaby that Crowley sings to Warlock. He always liked the lullabies like in Mary Poppins so he said to Neil: Why don’t we do it like Walt Disney, but if Walt Disney was possessed by Satan? That was about 7 months before he needed to write anything again while they were shooting and it kept going round his head the whole time - the melody stuck with him and when it came to the Opening Title of the show, this became the middle bit.
The original opening title was Everyday by Buddy Holly and each episode was supposed to be closed with a different version of it: a death metal version, an angelic choir version, a carmina burana version... and he actually made all those. But he likes to find the musical identity of the show and put it in the opening titles because it’s important and it tells you: ‘This is the word you’re going to experience’, so he wrote his own opening title with the lullaby in the middle and played it to them [probably Neil and Douglas] with Buddy Holly as the backup and: Neil just turned around in his chair and said, ‘That’s Good Omens.’. From that point the instructions were with no rules, just to create whatever he wanted: the further you can go the better, the weirder and the stranger you can think the better. It’s a rare thing to be shown a world like Good Omens and be let free to run around in it. 
His favourite ending title is the Queen one in Episode 1.
One of the reasons he didn’t do a theme for Crowley and a theme for Aziraphale is that the theme of the show is theirs - it’s theirs and they share it and it’s both of theirs and there is no separating in that regard. 
About Aziraphale and Crowley’s relationship reflected in the music score: It’s interesting isn’t it, because the relationship changed in a way slightly frequently and majorly infrequently. It seemed right from the start that their relationship was somehow seeded and planted and had begun by the time we saw them even though they may not have realised it themselves, you know, with the pair of them on the wall, considering one is a demon in the Garden of Eden and one is an angel. They act very charitably towards each other and they act with a lot of things you might not expect. And underneath that there is a sort of sense of togetherness and support even though they both know that their paths are going to diverge and they have different responsibilities. So I always felt like, right from that moment, when the wing came up on the wall, that there was something special about their relationship. Three moments that stuck with him: in Episode 3 saving the books in the church when they completely rely on the other for survival in the way that they were very open about, one in the car outside the nightclub in 60s Soho - the Holy Water, you go too fast for me, that genuinely tearing, that there was reluctance in those words that he spoke and that sort of things as a composer is gold, it’s about making those moments more, and in the last episode in a scene they’re not event in when we see Adam and Dog in the fields and Anathema that music there which celebrates Crowley and Aziraphale’s music which is the theme of the show - their shadow has passed over everyone’s emotional journey, and everyone’s emotional journey is theirs as well. The argument in the bandstand was important as well.
His favourite leitmotif from the series is the lullaby.
About the scene in the car in episode 2 when Thomas Tallis changes into Queen: Terry’s favourite piece of classical music was the Thomas Tallis piece [Spem in Alium] so Neil asked if they can go from Thomas Tallis - a choral piece from 16th century - to We Will Rock You, and: ‘You never say no. You don’t say that you can’t do it. What you have to do is to be the first person who solves the problem.’ In the end it was a two-days work just for this little bit and he mentioned that he never had these sorts of challenges anywhere else before.
His favourite non-musical detail in the show - the crucifixion, how the scene was shot, how it was upsetting, and how it was made more effective by Aziraphale and Crowley’s inability to stop it, that they had to observe and watch it, that it had to happen. I remember seeing that at the time and thinking, I wasn’t expecting that level of brutal honesty, in terms of the pictures that I was looking at and what they chose to show. And I think all the more effective for it. 
3. Claire Anderson (the costume designer)
When creating the costumes for the characters she started with mood boards. 
Aziraphale - she knew that he needed to have something winglike in his collar so that’s why there are sweeping lapels very often. Using velvet [for the waistcoat] because that was nice and soft and had all the appropriate qualities. His watch and fob that has little gold wings hanging from it and other tiny bits of symbolism. Tartan bow tie. Beautiful cashmere checkered trousers - not quite tartan but a nod to it. A mid to late Victorian coat, Michael only made his decision on the coat a couple of days before the filming. Aziraphale in the present settled on a ring with angelic symbol and harp cufflinks, earlier his ring in ancient times has got a much more roughly hewn set of wings on it, so before jewellery making became sophisticated he modernised slightly - he magicked it up to be a bit more modern, more gentleman signet type of ring, but he never modernises entirely. His heart is much more in the past.
After they began to define Aziraphale they started to look at how the Heaven army of angels might look - the element of tartan came sort of from Aziraphale and the angels have a not-tartan kilt with a semi military type jacket and a military band across that might hold arms or not, because they are not really violent. She used spats to make them look quite neutral and genderless so hiding fastenings and concealing little details like that seemed a way to do that.
Gabriel doesn’t wear spats because he’s on Earth such a lot. His shoe has a cover with two buckles on the side giving the same neutral element. He wears a cashmere light-as-air suit.
The other angels are all in bastardized versions of what era they may have died in, so they could have died in the 1930s or the 1800s and the costume would have an element of that era about it - though of course as an angel you can change things.
The Quartermaster Angel - the costume is a combination of slightly Indian type military, maharaja pants, longer spats from another era, all combined pieces of military tailored to be magical and slightly nonsensical, as Heaven might be.
Crowley - she felt that he wrapped around like a snake sheds its skin so she wanted something double breasted because that seemed to envelope his snakey charm. David wanted to be more casual than wearing a suit. Under his collar he always has a flash of red like the snake that he comes from - the red belly. They put a red seam into the sole of his boots so always there is a hint of where he came from. The red tie in the blitz. He was more rock and roll than Aziraphale and modernised more to a snakehipped rock and roll star really. His present jacket - the fabric there is quilted, they found an 80s jacket that had elements of things they enjoyed - part of that was that it had a slightly quilted quality to the fabric which was like a textured snakeskin. It took quite a long time to create the fabric and then to make the jacket from that - they quilted some fabric and washed and whooshed it repeatedly to create a bit of puckering in it. He has a snakey scarf around his neck like a chain mail linked scales of skin scarf that he wore that complemented his neck chain. The trousers he wore in Victorian times are the same he wore in the 60s when he meets young Shadwell. His present trousers - slightly waxy denim - we just were looking for a slithery finish. Crowley’s neck chain - there is only one in the world - her tailor has a Gothic church full of interesting stuff like busts and drapes with old things, this chain mail scarf was there and David was looking for something to complete his costume and liked it. 
Hastur and Ligur are her favourite characters - they were so enjoyable to create. She had an amazing book of 1920s and 30s criminals and they used that as a starting point, because they were all quite worn out and bedraggled and poverty stricken and like hell might be ideally. They burnt and decayed the bottom of them as if they were rotting from the Earth and rotting back into the ground - all demons have sort of gators as if they were rotting from the ground up.
One of the most difficult things was the demons - when they realized they had a few days to create hundreds of demons in South Africa (4-5 days for almost 200 demons). It was as if I had been dissolved in holy water when they asked me for another 150 costumes.
The sleeves of Anathema’s coat have been inspired by a Victorian cycling coat. 
The historical costume that Newt’s ancestor wore influenced his and Shadwell’s costumes - they used elements of the historical costume to put a little cape on Newt and Shadwell and their wax coats to give them the quality of that look. Newt's costume has a lot of mustard to make him feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable - it's not the most flattering colour on a northern European complexion.
The nuns’ headdress needed to look a little bit demonic - she bought a whole book on nuns’ headdresses for research. They also used the V in the nurse's apron because that was nicely demonic. The nurses' watch has got this Satanic symbol at the top - a little take on the medical since old nurses’ uniforms used to have watches.
For Madame Tracy she went back into the 70s, slightly Biba-esque makeup and a cape. They had only one pair of her goggles so it was always a nightmare to find them.
Which part of the cold opening is her favourite: I love ancient Rome because there is at least 6 to 12 metre of fabric in a toga and that was quite fun wrapping that around the boys and creating those., and her favourite was the Globe.
The lapels represent wings in every way and every shape and every form. Wings are very important.
4. Peter Anderson (Peter Anderson Studio created the opening title animation and in-show graphics)
The first thing that the director Douglas Mackinnon (with whom he worked on Doctor Who and Sherlock) said to him was: for all the graphics, for all the title sequence, for everything, I want you to promise me one thing, and that is very, very simple, promise that you send me emails that say: ‘this might be absolutely nuts, but my idea is...’.
The opening title it’s full of easter eggs - it’s a type of sequence that’s been designed to watch a thousand times, for example: on the escalator down to Hell there is one character running up deciding that he doesn’t want to go to Hell or the sea is full of plastic bags because we don’t look after the planet.
Every single face in the title sequence is either Crowley’s or Azriphale’s, they are repeated all the way through - inspired by Neil saying that there’s good and evil in all of us, so there is a grand procession of people of all the characters from the story - marching towards Armageddon - but all the characters have been taken over by good or evil. And along the way our two heroes are kind of playing tricks on each other, doing good, doing evil
The opening title combines multiple elements - two dimensional animation elements, three dimensional animation elements, CGI and live action (the people in the procession were created by live action on a travelator). So the result is a kind of strangeness - such as 3D figures with 2D animated tracked heads - which makes it unique.
Their first idea and version of the opening title was based on tapestries of old, subverting them, but then they wanted something more new and fresh.
Both Douglas and Neil were an important part of the opening title creation process.
The opening title sequence took about a year to make from the creative start with four intensive months towards the end.
One of things that inspired him was a Bauhaus theatre image from 1930s.
Question if the hand-drawn font for the graphics will be a purchasable font: no, because it was original and it’s unique and it was created just for this - it was for the love of the show and the story and it will be kept there.
In the scene where there are three photos of witchfinders - Neil and Douglas revealed in the DVD commentaries that two of them are their grandfathers - the third one is Peter’s great uncle.
Originally the signs telling us things like ‘Thursday’ or ‘Mesopotamia’ - were done as if somebody (who was living inside the television screen) ran up close to the screen and showed us the sign. In the end they simplified it, only showing the signs. The one time that it was sort of left in the show was when in Episode 5 a little demon in the video game shows a sign ‘GAME OVER’.
Outside of his work on it, what was his favourite thing on Good Omens: spending time with Douglas and Neil, and also working with Milk VFX - I think I can honestly say it's the best job I've ever worked on with the nicest people. 
5. Paul Adeyefa (Disposable Demon)
He first read the book when preparing for the audition - the character wasn’t in the book but he got into it, loved it and couldn’t put it down.
He didn’t know about the name Eric until the script was published and people started calling the demon that, he really likes the name and thinks it fits.
There was a version of the script where the demon was going to be dressed in different costumes each time he was discorporated (for example one in long hair wearing a dress) - they would be all the same but different incarnations, in one version they had different accents. 
The first scene he shot was the one where the demon goes to Heaven to deliver the Hellfire (and also wants to hit ‘Aziraphale’ which was cut). That first day was also his favourite moment of shooting because there was an immediate welcoming atmosphere and everyone was lovely and in love with the production.
Disposable Demon is like a permanent intern, running errands for the higher ups in Hell.
His favourite part of the costume were the eyelashes (though he loved the whole costume).
If he could change anything about the costume he would also want cool contact lenses - some brightly coloured ones.
Question what animal (like other demons have on their heads) comes to mind when we see the Disposable Demon: he didn’t think about it at the time, but later he saw people talking about his horns as bunny ears and found it interesting, and also the facts that there are so many of him and that he is quite happy and friendly for a demon so the bunny makes sense, so he might be a sort of a rabbit. Or perhaps something goat type because of the horns.
Question if there is another role in Good Omens he would have liked to have played: he always thought that the four horsemen were very cool and Pollution was his favourite so probably Pollution (also was the most jealous of Pollution’s contact lenses). 
If there were a season 2, he would be there in a heartbeat.
Question about Eric’s feelings on Crowley, if he’s a bit of a Crowley fan: I think he might be. There is something about Crowley and how he is somehow a little bit different from the rest of the demons. - and the Disposable Demon has, much like Crowley, interest in the human world. He could well be 6,000 how many years old, the same as everyone else, but he seems to have this younger vibe and I think he thinks that Crowley is quite cool.
Good Omens fandom is his first experience with a fandom of this scale. It speaks a lot, the fact that this kind of very, this minor character, a character who is only on screen for a very short amount of time gets any kind of attention at all, it's quite amazing really, it goes to show how big and enthusiastic the fans are. I never experienced anything like that.
6. Jeremy Marshall-Roberts (the owner of Mary the Bentley)
When Crowley used a miracle to switch off the Bentley lights in Episode 1 at nuns manor it was done by: there was actually a very small guy called Louis turning on and off the switches quickly.
David Tennant was allowed to wear the snake eye contacts for only 3 hours a day otherwise they could damage his eyesight.
For Mary, the Bentley, it was the second time she was ‘blown up’ on film - first being in the Endeavour with Inspector Morse about three years earlier.
He was a bit nervous during filming the bookshop fire scene because the Bentley was so close to a real fire - not wanting the paint to blister. The car was moved off after a few minutes of filming but still.
About the damage to Mary: Unfortunately, we overran, and Rob my stunt driver had already booked a holiday and off he went and so when he returned in January, on the 10th of January, I had this new driver who really had no clue how to drive old cars, so I showed him around, I showed him to go around corners. He came around the corner, the door was not closed properly for some reason and the door flew open as he went around. And instead of slamming on the brakes which is extremely efficient and would stop him straight away he kept on going, hit another car and really smashed the door quite badly. It did take the car off the roads for 10 months. The door was completely remade because of this accident and it cost the total of  £24 000 to rebuild the car to get it back to running as it is today.
The Bentley’s part most difficult to maintain and service is the engine. 
Would Mary be available for a potential season 2: definitely!

poe dameron relationship alphabet
requested by....me, bitch. has one very minor reference to adult themes. 
a - actions. what sort of things do they do to show they love their s.o?
poe is all about physical touch. not just the bog standard hugging and kissing, but small, intimate actions. he likes holding your hand under the table at breakfast and during meetings, and he’ll keep one on the small of your back as you walk through the corridors of the resistance base. at night, the bare minimum for poe is tangling your fingers together - but most the time, he’s gonna basically sleep on top of you.
b - beginnings. how did the relationship begin? how has it changed?
in the beginning, poe would have been acting solely on his physical attraction to you - i’m talking flirty comments, winking at you across the room and doing everything within his power to try and romance you into going on a date with him (whilst still absolutely respecting your boundaries, of course). once he realises your personality, the man is tripping and fucking falling for you - so nothing about his attraction to you changes. it just gets deeper, and your connection becomes stronger. he still likes your butt tho. 
c - comfortable. how comfy are they with each other? peeing with the door open close, or would they rather keep the mystery?
he’d try to keep the mystery in the beginning, but he’s so chill around you that it’s gone within the first few months. he’s prepared to be unhealthily close. like lilly & marshal from how i met your mother close. 
d - dates. do they consider dates to be important? what kind do they prefer? 
once you’re together, he’ll try and take you on a date at least once a fortnight - and it’s only because leia gently told him that your nightly rituals of eating pizza in your pajamas didn’t count as a date. smh.
e - engagement. how would they propose? who would even pop thw question?
it probably won’t be a proper proposal. chances are, poe will say ‘hey, let’s get married!’ and...yeah. it’s both underwhelming and overwhelming all at once, so really, it’s perfect.
f - fundamental. for them, what is the most fundamental part of a relationship?
being each other’s ride or die, and also having a good chemistry. i understand those are two completely different things, but poe needs an s.o who will give their everything to him, as well as one who he can verbally and mentally spar with someone. someone who will help him a hide a body, but also someone who can make him laugh (and i hope to the high heavens that those two scenarios are not connected in any way <3) 
g - gratitude. how do they show their appreciation for you?
wink wonk. u know how he’s gonna show appreciation. 
but also, when he’s a little bit sleepy and a little bit soft, he’ll quietly murmur things to you - the most prevalent one being how he can’t get his head around the fact you’re with him, and how appreciative he is of all the ways you’ve changed his life. 
h - home. a random domestic headcanon.
poe refuses to sleep until he knows that both you and bb-8 are ok. in a perfect world, you’d be curled up in bed together (ideally with beebs in his charging port, but there are some things poe just won’t compromise on) but if you’re in separate locations, he just needs a simple message.
i - infinite. do they believe their love is endless, or is there something that could break it?
literally endless and unbreakable. even if you betrayed him in every way he knew to be possible, he’d still try and find a way to bring you back around. 
j - jokes. who’s the funny one?
it’s gotta be him. i’m sorry.
k - kiss. how do they kiss? favourite type?
poe’s favourite type of kiss is the soft ones you exchange first thing in the morning - but, he also loves the desperate ones after you reunite after a mission. you know the holding onto each other for dear life, teeth clashing, foreheads touching kinda kiss? 
l - longing. who’s the clingy one? how are they with long distance?
he is hands down the clingy one. it’s not suffocating, but when he gets into a whiny mood, that’s it. he’s not going anywhere. 
m - marriage. do they wanna get married?
ideally, yes. his parents marriage was such a fundamental and important part of his childhood, and he wants to find the same connection with someone.
n - nicknames. what ones do they like?
his favourite for both you and him is babe. 
o - over the top. are they ever ott? or are they more low-key?
he can be over the top; usually when he’s done something to piss you off, he’ll go absolutely out of the way to pull out all the stops - it’s either to beg for your forgiveness or to distract you from the dumb thing that you’re yet to discover 
p - picture. what’s their favourite picture of them and their s.o?
one time, you fell asleep on top of each other in a bar after a few too many drinks. you were laying in his lap, and poe had one hand holding yours as he slumped against finn’s side - the latter of whom got a selfie of the three of you in that very position. it’s poe’s background on his work tablet.
q - quintessential. what is one they would refuse to compromise in their relationship? what’s a deal-breaker for them?
as aforementioned, there’s very little that could make poe ever turn away from you. you’ve bonded in a way that goes beyond your souls and again, even if you completely and entirely hurt him, he’d still see the good in you. 
t - tattoo. would they ever get matching tattoos with their s.o, or a tattoo for them?
absolutely!! i reckon it would be something small, maybe on his forearm. 
u - understanding. how understanding are they? or are they a little difficult?
poe would never, ever be difficult with you (not intentionally). if you’re worried about something, he’s gonna listen and make you feel validated, no matter what it is. he’d be willing to sit down for hours on end and listen to you complain about cheese - if anything, he’s just glad to be in a relationship where you get one another 
v - vases. do they buy flowers?
yes!! mostly when he hasn’t seen you for a while or to cheer you up.
w - wandering. do they wanna travel? or immediately settle down?
once the first order is down, he’d want to travel a bit - there’s a lot of the galaxy he hasn’t seen yet, and a lot of different places he wants to explore. he also absolutely wants to try the kessel run. but, once that is all out the way, he’d definitely want to settle down somewhere. he needs it, really. 
x - ex. how many exes do they have? any horror stories?
poe probably has a pretty average amount of break-up and relationship horror stories - maybe two or three. of course, he’s told you them all.
(there was also one really awks run in with zorii bliss). 
y - you. favourite thing about their partner?
poe loves the stability you bring to his life. even when the galaxy is moving at a million miles an hour, it slows down when he’s with you. you’re the one he can always count on, and the one he can always turn to you. he can rely on you for anything & you can both sleep safe knowing you have each other’s backs. he also loves that he can laugh with you. 
z - zeal. how excitable are they? who’s the calm one?
poe is absolutely the excitable one. he can be calm when need be, but his upbeat and optimistic attitude is one of the things that made you fall in love with him

The Fall of King Romulus
Summary: Twin Princes Remus and Romulus are cursed at birth with Honesty and Obedience. When Romulus, who cannot disobey any order, is told to kill his brother the next time he lays eyes on him, he changes his name to Roman and runs away. Roman joins up with a misfit group of adventures and plans to never return to his homeland. But the fae have other plans for him...
This was originally a fake fic but I decided to turn it into a real fic because it looked like fun, The fake fic can be read as a prologue.

When Roman had first left home, he had no intention of making friends.
Romulus had never had them, unless you counted Remus in their younger days. Royal life was often one of seclusion and once his… particular problem… had come to light, his parents  took the necessary steps to ensure he was as isolated from others as possible.
This was for his own good. Romulus could not protect himself. Romulus was a liability to the himself and the Kingdom. One slip before a supposed playmate could lead to discovery and disaster. His father explained this to him when Romulus was eleven, and had taken to following the young Marquis de Orenlla around like a love sick puppy when the family visited the palace.
“Suppose that boy notices,” his fathers voice was a hiss, his hand gripping Romulus small shoulder hard enough to bruise “suppose he realises you will do anything he asks, and he asks you for family secrets? Suppose he waits until your are older and orders you to favour his family, to give them position in court, to promote them above their deserved station- or to harm their enemies. Do you understand the risk you’re taking Romulus? Swear to me you will keep to yourself. Please.”
Phrasing, Romulus had come to learn, was extraordinarily important when dealing with his curse. The final ‘please’ from his father had turned the order into a request – something Romulus could technically choose to ignore. But the grip on his shoulder suggested it would not remain his choice for long. So he nodded at his father and swore to keep away and was rewarded with a smile and a hand stroking gently though his hair, before he was dismissed to go and study before his afternoon lessons.
He should have been lonely. But he had his parents and his instructors and his servants. And the occasional, highly orchestrated, public appearance wherein he would adopt a practiced air of aloof politeness, wave and make measured conversation with those who would never dare to give him an order. It could have been worse.
Still, he understood that once he left it would be necessary to speak to many more people then he had up to now. He would need food and shelter and work and direction, none of which he had had to procure for himself before.
So he prepared himself to make conversation with strangers, perhaps acquire acquaintances. He expected to find admirers once he was far South enough that he could perform with his lute without fear of recognition from the crowd. He hoped, perhaps, for some romances, some temporary but dashing companions to join him on adventures. He had read about such things during hours spent locked up in the palace library and told to entertain himself.  
He had not planned on making friends. Traveling with anyone for too long, getting to know them and allowing them to learn about him – it inevitably increased the chance of them discovering his secret. Of exploiting him as his parents had warned against. It was not worth the risk.
And yet.
And yet somehow, he had acquired three.
Virgil and Patton and Logan.
Brave and kind and wise.
Not a drop of aristocratic blood between them but without doubt the most noble companions a man could wish for. When he thought of them, of how they had accepted him into their little band of misfit adventurers, his heart felt more full, his mind more alive and sharp than it had been in years. His blood buzzed with creativity and songs of friendship, love and loyalty sprang from his lips almost unbidden.
Not right now however.
Right now sort of wanted to kill them. Specifically Virgil.
Roman scowled at the surrounding trees “If there are any depressingly dressed half elves out there who want to APPOLOGISE for being JERKS the floor is open!” he called.
The trees remained silent. They had done that the last three times he tried.
Roman left out a dramatic exhale and flopped back on the ground.
The thing was. He knew, intellectually, that this wasn’t Virgil’s fault. Not Intentionally.  
Virgil was prickly. And unpredictable. Last night, Roman had wailed in dismay at the sorry state for a fire the young man was building. Virgil had responded that they would be lucky if there was no fire at all, since that would mean no one would have to be subjected to Romans cooking. Roman had insulted Virgil’s hair. Virgil had made a creative suggestion for where Roman could stick the firewood he was holding.  And back and forth the insults went until between them they had built up the fire and set the stew boiling upon it.
It was banter. Virgil had been giggling the whole time, Patton hadn’t interjected once to tell them to be nicer.
And then this evening they’d gone hunting for firewood together. And Roman had made some sly remark, hoping that Virgil’s fire building skills had improved somewhat overnight.
And Virgil had turned round and snarled at him to “shut UP Princy. I don’t need you to help me – just, just get lost.”
Virgil didn’t know about the curse.
Romans mouth had dropped open in surprise. And before he’s had time to close it, his feet had spun round one hundred and eighty degrees and marched him away from his friend, away from the path, deeper into the heart of the forest.
His feat had carried him on a winding route, over one shallow stream and through an extremely dense thicket of brambles that left Roman desperately hacking away at the thorns in front of him before they could shred him to ribbons. He had eventually stopped after an hour of relentless marching and sprawled at the foot of an impressively knotted oak tree.
Unsurprisingly, his surroundings were totally unfamiliar. The trees grew so thick here it was impossible to see more than twelve feet in any direction. He was well and truly lost.
Roman had spent an unsatisfying few minutes ranting to the trees about elves and their unpredictable mood swings and marching and blisters and curses and Virgil’s still subpar fire lighting skills until eventually he had run out of steam and settled himself down for a good sulk.
Phrasing was important. Virgil had told him to get lost but he hadn’t said to stay lost. And now that he was lost, there was nothing to prevent him being found again.
Patton was an excellent tracker. The idea of sitting around waiting to be rescued stung Roman’s pride, but his feat had already been aching from the days travel before his unintended march. His stomach growled, the smattering of cuts from the brambles burned, and evening was already turning to night. The most sensible thing to do was for Roman to stay where he was and wait to be found.
Assuming they wanted to find him.
Roman bit his lip sharply to try and banish that line of thought. They wouldn’t leave him.
Although, he drew his legs up and wrapped his arms around his knees to fend off the evening chill, There was a strong chance they wouldn’t find him tonight. Patton had looked exhausted when Virgil and Roman and left on their hunt for firewood, in fact he’d been falling behind all day and –
Oh.
Patton and Virgil were born in Krutova and Finaley’ed respectively. Two small neighbouring kingdoms, politically insignificant and famous only for their densely forested landscapes and their intense dedication to wiping each other off the face of the Earth. For the past eighteen years bloody war had raged between the two. Roman had never asked directly, but he was fairly certain that this  conflict was where Patton had acquired his enormous broadsword, his limp and, quite possibly, Virgil.
Neither of them liked forests. They carried extra tension as soon as they stood under the shadows of the trees. In addition to that, the uneven terrain aggravated Patton’s hip, sometimes leaving him hissing between his teeth with every step.
Roman had been walking up front with Logan all day, arguing the merits of modern Raspanzean poetry compared with the old masters. He had thought they had called a halt to the day a little early, but was tired enough himself not to question it. And really, since he and Virgil had been on fire and cooking duty last night it should have fallen to the others today…but Virgil had scampered into the woods as soon as Patton was settled on his bed roll, and Roman had gone chasing after.
Virgil fretted. He fretted after all of them, but Patton most of all. And Roman had chased after him when he was already stressed about his best friend and then started needling him about his fire making skills.
Roman groaned and pressed his face into his knees.
Maybe he was the jerk.
“It sounds like it.”
Roman sighed, hating the whine in his voice as he replied “but he still shouldn’t have taken it out on –“
Romans head snapped up so fast he hit his skull hard against the oak tree behind him. Wincing he twisted his head left and right, but the area remained deserted.
He frowned. Perhaps he was more exhausted than he thought –
“You certainly are over tired little Prince,” Roman made a sound which he refused to think of as a shriek  and scrambled to his feet.
Standing not three feet- two feet – five feet- three feet from him, stood – hovered - sat – stood a figure in – black – yellow- black – shadow – gold - black. He- she – it – he? Laughed sweetly and stepped – slunk – prowled – flew – stepped closer
And drew back abruptly as Roman held up his dagger between them.
Roman’s sword was the best he could buy, made of blended steel with a bronze handle. He cleaned and sharpened it religiously and practiced often. It was beautifully made and perfectly balanced, suitable for a solider but ideal for a traveller in who knew how to use it.
Romans dagger was old and brittle. And more than once Logan had tried to surreptitiously throw it out and convince him to replace it with something usable.
But it was made of pure iron and it kept the scowling fae at bay.
Looking directly at the fae made something in Romans stomach twist. But he kept his eyes at a squint and held the dagger firm between them, even as his arms shook from the effort.
“What do you want from me?” he gritted out
“What do I want?” The fae’s face would not quite settle, the edges shifting and billowing, but when he smiled Roman was certain he saw fangs “You’re the one trespassing in my home, little Prince, I should be asking you”
Suddenly the fae was as close as he could come, his face less than an inch from the daggers edge. Up close, Roman could see two eyes clearly, one black and one pulsating with a sickly yellow light. “Come to make a deal with the devil, Princey?”
Roman squeezed his eyes shut and held himself firm, even as the shaking began to spread over his entire body.
“I am. A. Lost. Traveller.” He gasped out “I. mean. No. disrespect. To you. Or. Your court” for what felt like an eternity the shaking continued, rattling his brain and sending one knee crashing to the floor. And then it stopped.
Hesitantly, Roman cracked one eye open and looked up. The fae had, mercifully, settled its form. It had picked a face identical to Romans own, save for the yellow eye and scales that spread over its left side. A cloak of shadows hid most of its body from view, but when it moved towards Roman now it seemed to slither rather than step.
“You mean no disrespect” it nodded towards the dagger still clutched in Roman’s sweaty hands “but your bring a weapon to my home?”
“it is a shield, my lord, not a sword, despite it’s shape”
The fae harrumphed, a disconcertingly human noise, and circled Roman once. “You’re not from around here.”
“I’m lost, my lord.”
“I know that” The fae stopped in front of Roman again and rolled it’s eyes. “I meant you are not one of the town folk who trespass in my wood so regularly. You know how to speak to me.”
Roman opened his mouth to say ‘in my fathers Kingdom the Fae are welcomed, and representatives of the Saelie court attend each ball and function’ but managed to snap it closed before he made a sound. Rule one for dealing with the Fae, even those considered allies, was not to give them any information that they didn’t already know. “You flatter me my lord” he said instead.
Roman still hadn’t moved from his half kneeling pose and now the fae coiled down so that they were once again face to face. “Most humans in your position” he said, “would have already started begging for a deal to relive them of their…little problems. What’s the matter Princey, curse got your tongue?”
Roman couldn’t help the way his heart rate sped up at the faes words. But he did his best to keep his outward face calm. It was true, the first deliberate order he had received when his curse was discovered was to never talk about it, he couldn’t have brought it up to this fae if he wanted to.
But more than that – the fae who allied themselves with his father’s court had done everything in their power to remove the curses from him and his brother. Nothing had worked. “A gift once given can only be taken back by the gifter” an elder sprite in the guise of a kindly woman had told his mother. “And their gifter is unlikely to return here.”
The gifter was also unlikely to be a snake shaped creature tied to a southern forest. “I want nothing from you my lord, except to be allowed to leave your home” Roman intoned honestly.  He had wondered, for a moment, when the creature had called him Princey – but Virgil and the others often called him by that nickname. If this was a lord of the forest he could have heard them  when they passed by.
The fae stared at him for a long moment. And smiled. “Liar.”
Roman frowned – “what-“
“Roman!”
Roman jerked his head to the side, the shout had come from close by, he was sure. “Pa-Padre?”
A whisper in his ear: “time to go home Roman.” Roman quickly looked back to the fae, but it was gone. On the ground where it had been, lay a single oak leaf dyed a brilliant, autumnal, yellow.
He didn’t need to look up at the oak trees leaves to know they, like every other tree in the forest, were still a vibrant green.
“Roman! Roman are you here?”
Without much conscious thought, he reached forward and snatched up the yellow leaf, burying it deep in his pocket.
“I’M HERE. Patton? Virgil? I’M OVER HERE”
Within minuets all seven foot of Patton was crashing through the tree line and baring down on him, Virgil not far behind.
“Roman, oh my goodness we were so worried! Are you hurt? Can you stand? Why do you have your dagger – did something happen?”
“Princy! Shit are you – are you okay? I am so, - I’m really- We looked EVERYWHERE“
“I’m fine.” Roman promised ‘Its fine’ he added to Virgil, “I just – I figured you needed some space so I tried looking for wood on the other side of camp. Guess I got a little turned around” He allowed Patton to pull him to his feet, giving them both his best sheepish grin. Embarrassed but ready to laugh at himself. He really had got lost. Silly Roman.
It’s not like he could tell them about the curse.
“We’re not the far from camp” Patton told him, he glanced around frowning slightly “I’m sure we searched through here before.”
“I was trying to make my own way back,” Roman lied easily “I probably ended up walking in a circle and missed you.”
It’s not like there was any point telling them about the fae.
“You sure you’re okay?”
“I’m fine Pat, what about you? How’s your leg?”
“Oh this old thing?” Patton gave them a wide smile “it’s just fine, Ro, don’t you worry. Now I think I know a short cut back, you two follow close to me alright?” and with that the large man spun round and headed into the trees.
Virgil and Roman shared an exasperated glance. The man was clearly in agony.
“Listen, Princy I-“
“I’m sorry too.” Roman cut him off.  Bumped his shoulder against Virgil’s and winked. “Now lets get back to camp before Logan paces a trench in to the ground hm?”
Slowly Virgil nodded, although he was still staring at Roman guiltily. The two of them headed into the trees together, collected Patton from where he was half collapsed against an elm, and the three slowly made their way back to camp.
By the time they were explaining what had happened to Logan, the memory of the fae had faded like mist.
With a days more travel they would be out of the forest and on a path to Steveange. The largest and greatest city of the Central Kingdoms. From there they would have to chose whether to head east, towards the coast line, west to catch the merchant festivals or north, where Roman had always refused to travel.  
Stuck between two pages of Romans notebook, a unseasonably yellowed oak leaf shivered.
Time to go home.

You sighed as you logged onto discord ready for your stream, your setup was your favourite colour, so you clicked on your webcam with a smile and clicked to start the stream. People soon started to flood in.
“Hey guys!” You smiled taking a drink of water, “Welcome to the stream, we’re playing Among Us today with Rae and Sykkuno and a few more new friends! I think Corpse is coming to play with us, I’m excited to meet him!”
You quickly joined the discord call, Ludwig, Rae, Sykunno, Toast, Leslie, Poki, Felix and Sean had already joined, so as soon as I joined that was 9/10 of the lobby.
“Hey guys!” You giggled happily.
“Hey Y/n!” They all greet you happily, as you adjust your headphones on your head, pulling your mic a tad bit closer.
Soon one more person joined the discord call, “Hey,” a deep yet soothing voice speaks up.
“Woah.” You mutter quickly realising your mic discord isn’t muted.
Corpse laughs, you two were the only one’s in the lobby who didn’t know each other, “I’m Corpse, and you must be y/n.” You can hear his smile through the screen, “Big fan.”
Your face flushes red and chat takes notice, “Yes, that is me, I am y/n, and I, personally am very excited to meet you!” You cheer, trying to keep your cool.
“Holy shit guys.” Rae chuckles, “Their voices are complete opposite - it’s like the angel and the devil.”
“Hmmm maybe,” You perk up, “I guess I’d be the devil then.”
Corpse chuckles at your comment as the round starts as you smile because of his laugh, proud of yourself that you made the man, the myth, the legend, Corpse Husband laugh.
That was a year and a half ago.
You knocked on the door tugging on your grey sweater as he opened the door quickly, letting you in, before pulling off his mask as soon as the door had closed behind you. Corpse smiled at you as you hurried inside placing Grocery bags on the kitchen counter.
The two of you decided to rent a place together in LA to be closer to your friends and open up a new line of opportunities. Well, that’s how you pitched it to your best friend.
Anyway, it was game night at the Corpse x Y/n residence, last week was at Sykkuno’s house where you all played What Do You Meme, now it was yours and Corpse’s turn. Playing Cards Against Humanity because they all knew you guys had the largest collection of cards. You quickly set out everything on the table as Corpse just admired you from the couch.
“You could help, y’know.” You glared at him as he sat there watching you.
Corpse pretended to think about it, “Well, if I try to help you’re just gonna push me away and do everything yourself anyway.” He smirks - he’s right. You know he is. He knows he is. Everyone know’s he is. You’re a control freak.
You huff, “So what?”
“So what?” Corpse lets out the loudest laugh he can, “Last time you almost broke my finger!!”
You pause, before leaving it at that, Corpse just chuckles as he sits there, you finish in no less than ten minutes, “It’s gonna be fine.”
“Never said I wasn’t.” You retort.
Corpse looks at you, “I know you better than anyone, y/n.” It’s gonna be okay.
And he was right, the night went great. Everyone was smiling and laughing and having fun. It was a night to remember, mostly because Rae almost got blackout drunk and Toast and Sykkuno had to take her home early. But she’d just laugh it off in the morning after you call her and make sure she’s okay.
Corpse stands up, “Anyone need a drink?” He questions, as everyone shake’s their heads. Leslie actually changes her mind and follows him around the corner to a small kitchen.
A lot of people wouldn’t have known this, but Lesilie and Corpse met way before he met Felix or anyone current. She looks at him with a soft smile as she watches him get her a drink from the fancy fridge they have in their house.
“What?” Corpse questions noticing Leslie’s look.
Leslie chuckles, “You love her, dude,” She sighs before he can protest it, “Don’t try to say that I’m wrong either. She’s changed you, you’re slightly happier now, you’re making your way up there, she lifts your spirits every single day and you should see the way you fucking look at her, because I know you don’t know. You love her dude and she loves you too, think about it.”
Leslie leaves the kitchen as her and Edison are the only ones left in the house, it was kinda sad to see it without people in it but you smiled regardless. “That was really fun tonight, thanks Corpse!”
Corpse smiles as you do, “Always. But I’m super beat, gonna try and get some sleep.” In reality, he wasn’t. He was just gonna think about what Leslie said all night.
She was right. You loved him. But you couldn’t tell him that because 99.9% of the time they didn’t reciprocate those feelings back. She had learned not to try with love anymore. So you were sitting in bed that night thinking about a life where you had something good. You had love and comfort. Though you felt it was never going to happen.
Corpse was doing the same - he didn’t take the shots because he was scared. He thinks about her. All the fuckin’ time. How he’s so glad she joined that lobby. Leslie was right she made him happier. She made his life better. Way fucking better. He thought about a life with her, that it would be so good to call her his girlfriend. Never have to see her with another guy again - because yes. He was jealous of all the one’s she’d bring home after a night out with her friends. But she didn’t know they would come out and he’d scare them off.
He didn’t know he was doing that - not intentionally.
Your music fades out of your head as you try to fall asleep to it, but it fails coming back into earshot. You turn to the opposite side of the music. You tossed and turned before standing up out of bed. You had to do it. You had to tell him how you feel and you had to do it now. Something made you compelled to do it. Something made you need to do it.
You opened your bedroom door stepping out of it quickly walking down the hall over to Corpse’s room. 
Your anxiety started to spike, you could feel tears on the brims of your eyes - you were starting to overthink.
“What if he doesn’t love me back”
“What if he’s in love with someone else”
Corpse was having the same spike of anxiety, as he started to overthink feeling his stomach - his gut churn. He knew he had to tell you. No matter how anxious he was, he was willing to take that 50/50 chance. You were practically speed walking, and so was he. The two of you ran into each other, falling onto the floor opposite of each other, your hands catching you, breaking your fall. You yelped before you both chuckled and Corpse helped you up. The two of you hadn’t realise how close you were until Corpse spoke and you could feel the warmth of his breath and minty toothpaste on your face.
“Corpse I- I need to tell you something.” He stopped you.
“No- I do.”
“Corpse I have to tell you!”
“Y/N I LOVE YOU!” Corpse yells pulling away from you as he starts to pace, “I can’t go a day without missing you - I can’t go a day without you here. I crumble, I fall apart. You make me happier, nobody’s done that before. You are a light to my life, you are my sun, you are everything to me and I don’t know how to live without you - how to function. You went to VidCon for three days and I fell apart completely. I. Love. You.”
At this point Corpse didn’t know what he was saying. He was just going with his gut. You sat there shocked. You just smiled at him after a while. You ran towards him and jumped into his arms pressing a kiss to his lips and then pressing them all over the rest of his face.
He was relieved to say the least - probably guessing this is what you were going to tell him and he loved that - he could finally love you.
He carried you to his bedroom, which would soon be the two of yours as it was larger in size and fell asleep comfortably in each others arms as the warmth of Corpse’s body radiated onto yours. His arms around you, holding you to never let you go. To never get hurt. To protect you from all the bad in the world.
The two of your feelings were finally at peace. It was a beautiful masterpiece called love. You changed Corpse for the better and he changed you for it too. You both lived in perfect harmony with each other. It was a comfort you had never truely felt before - same to him. Something that the both of you never wanted to let go of. Let alone each other.

Oh - Cheeky anon - you are speaking my language! So I had set out to tell you my thoughts about Beefy Bucky...but Steve came screaming into the room, panting and excited, a light shining in his eyes and suddenly it was all about him... maybe one day I’ll get my say...

Steve tried to not stare, tried to be respectful like his ma taught him, tried to be the responsible adult, hero that he was. He was the paragon for truth, the beacon of all that was good, but all that ran through his head as he looked at his best friend, his semi-recently unbrainwashed best friend, was Bucky’s large frame manhandling him to the bed and doing unspeakable acts on Steve’s body.
He was past caring what these acts might be, he’d be open to anything, try anything - not having had much experience due to time or inclination. But as he sat in the mission brief and watched Bucky playing with a pencil, unintentionally snapping it between his chunky fingers, looking around sheepishly in case someone told him off for breaking SHIELD property - Steve thought about those meaty fingers wrapped around a specific part of his anatomy. A part he knew couldn’t snap off (he’d tried when jerking off - not intentionally, but sometimes he twitched hard in the heat of the moment - and he had super strength after all).
From Steve’s vantage point, a few yards behind Bucky’s immensely broad shoulders, he found his breaths coming in quicker, wondering how it would feel to be picked up and slammed into a hard surface by Bucky, to have all that unrestrained strength pushing him - up against his body. Steve shivered, knowing that, yes, Tony and Thor and the others with the use of their powers or suits could pin Steve for a few seconds - but Bucky - he’d had a similar serum as Steve and it gave him thoughts. 
Would Bucky be at the same level of strength and power, were they evenly matched in every way? And if Steve begged on his knees staring up at Bucky - would Bucky relent and finally give him all he’d been dreaming about since he was sixteen?
Steve didn’t know. But he fantasised about it a lot.
Bucky had always been bigger than Steve, had always towered over him when they were kids, and Steve fit under the crook of Bucky’s arm, snug and nice, knowing that even before the serum, Bucky could have had his way and Steve would let him - even as feisty and independent as he was. But oh god, given half the chance, in a million different ways Steve would have let him.
But then the war happened, Steve had the serum and everything changed - he lost Bucky, had lost his better half, his true north, and that was when Steve lost hope. Until the Winter Soldier appeared - no, when Bucky appeared. Hope welled eternal in Steve for the first time in years, and to now have Bucky before him, it was a dream come true and he was scared to do anything to break the bubble that was surrounding them in case he scared Bucky off again.
So through hungry eyes, Steve watched Bucky closely, helped Bucky with the holes in his memory as best he could, ignored the lack of compassion that sometimes came through, and tried his best not to ogle Bucky’s new physique.
It was hard.
Extremely hard.
Because Bucky was built, he was wide, he was thick and it made Steve jittery inside.
He was unable to hide the most basic of reactions when they sparred, growing stiff the moment Bucky threw Steve over his shoulder like he weighed nothing to land on the mat roughly before straddling him, hand gently around his throat and a smirk on his face. And Steve had to scramble to the toilets for a moment alone - each and every time. Images of Bucky’s muscular thighs either side of his stomach fodder for a slew of fantasies and he only ever felt a little guilty when he came, hand shaking around his dick and Bucky’s name on his lips.
But it was undeniable that Bucky had changed - his quick smiles gone, humour buried away with only a glimpse here and there, but Steve knew Bucky, his Bucky was lurking somewhere in the depths, and Steve was slowly teasing him to the surface. So it would be completely unfair to foist his desires on his friend - a friend who'd never indicated that he liked Steve on a romantic level.
So Steve sat behind Bucky in the briefing, letting his mind wander, allowing his gaze to rake over the back of the too tight dark blue henley, Bucky’s shoulders taking up more space on the chair than Steve’s did - and he watched. 
Steve’s eyes traced the lines of Bucky’s wide stance as he moved in the chair, watching the toned muscles shift under the shirt and he couldn’t help lick his lips, only to look up and find Bucky stalled, stopped in his tracks staring over his shoulder at Steve with something deeply shadowed in his eyes. And Steve had been caught, caught staring like a man dying of thirst and Bucky the only person in the world that had a trickle of water left.
Standing up hastily, Steve fled - heading towards his room on the thirtieth floor, not knowing if the briefing was over or not, not really caring - he’d walked out of them before - it was only a safety meeting about new protocols that Steve himself had helped to create, but he couldn’t sit behind Bucky and stare at his bulk any longer. Bucky might have already realised where Steve’s thought’s had been, and he needed a moment to agonise over it.
He’d only just made it to his hallway, sprinting up the stairs as it was quicker than the elevator, when a huge solid hand grasped his arm, yanking to slam Steve up against the wall and suddenly two very intense blue/grey eyes were staring at him, pinched at the corners, questioning. Steve was no longer concerned about being called out - he was too busy sweating heavily at the sheer muscle Bucky was showcasing by pinning him to the wall, and he flexed, trying to move, but Bucky - oh fuck - Bucky had him. Steve would have to exert a lot of energy to break the hold, and his knees buckled.
Bucky grasped him, holding him upright as he sagged, “hey pal - you okay? What in the hell is going on?”
Steve managed to get his knees to lock long enough to hold his weight, and Bucky wide-eyed and concerned held him trapped. Held him aloft in his strong arms, his flesh one just as huge and muscular as his metal one.
“Yeah I’m alright,” Steve ground out. And he was, mostly - except for the tenting in his cargo pants, something that if Bucky stepped in less than an inch would feel pressed against him in all it’s post-serum glory. And Steve shouldn’t have thought that - what had it done to Bucky if the rest of him had grown so thick.
Bucky exhaled slowly, then looked up at the roof and Steve watched the sinews dance under the skin of Bucky’s neck, the wide hefty expanse of muscle that had to be at least twice the size as before. Steve wanted to lean forward, nip at the jutting Adam's apple, lick it, suckle it and have Bucky tense the muscles so that Steve could trace the hardness under his stiff tongue.
Words escaped him before Steve knew what was happening. “You’re so big.”
Immediately his face flamed because the words didn’t come out like a question, or a matter of fact statement - it was breathy, whispered with reverence, with a tone that couldn’t be disguised - Steve sounded horny for Bucky, and shame welled up.
Shutting his eyes, Steve shook his head, trying to get up the strength to break free of the large hands holding him, but Steve was learning he was a masochist under Bucky's control, Steve wanted it, no matter how he got it - all of that power and force bundled into the man he’d been in love with all of his life, it was too much.
“Open your eyes, Stevie.”
He was powerless not to, not when Bucky called him that.
Bucky’s long hair had fallen over one side of his face, and he peered at Steve, a small frown between his eyes as he worked something out in his head, Steve having seen that puzzled expression many times, usually directed at the coffee machine or at Sam, until suddenly like the dawning of a new day - his face went slack. 
He’d realised something, something big. And Bucky stepped forward, closer, the entire length of his body now against Steve, and although Steve was still a little taller than him, he felt as small as his teenage self while Bucky held him aloft using just his body, and it was only then that Steve realised what Bucky was pressed against and… oh…
What was now pressed against Steve in return.
“Buck…” he said brokenly.
“How long?”
“Errr…”
“How long, Steve?” The demand came with a tightening of hands on his biceps and Steve groaned at the pinch, the pressure, and Bucky threw his massive flesh arm across Steve’s collar bone instead, restraining him, and Steve just about came on the spot. It was too much, the sheer strength, the sheer size of Bucky was making him quake like a teenager with too many uncontrollable hormones.
“For as long as I can remember.”
“Jesus,” Bucky swore and let go, Steve slumping against the wall, and Bucky took one step away, Steve had ruined it - ruined everything.
“Well, are you coming or not?”
Steve looked up at the order in Bucky’s voice.
“Where?” he croaked.
“Your room, it’s closer - I’m going to nail you to your bed and make you scream Stevie Rogers - I have one vivid memory of before the war, and I know it was just a fantasy. And right now... right now I want to make it a reality.”
Bucky strode away, intent in each step and Steve watched the sway of his thick hips, the delectable peach-like ass he wanted to sink his hands and teeth into, and Steve stuck to the spot, couldn’t believe what was about to happen.
“I’m not going to ask twice.”
Steve jumped to attention, and had never ran so fast in his life.

You haven’t asked her again.
It’s not that Natasha was expecting you to ask her to marry you again.
But it’d been two years since you two officially got back together, and not once did you give off even the slightest hint that suggested to Nat that you were even starting to entertain the thought of thinking about proposing to her again.
It took a while, a lot of tears and a lot of late night conversations where you two would bare your souls to each other, wondering if it was worth it to start over again and not make the same mistakes.
It took time, and slowly but surely, you two were back to being where you were before everything went wrong.
Natasha had even gone as far as to ask Wanda if you had said anything to her, only to be met with disappointment when the younger girl shook her head and told her that 'sorry, Nat, but Y/N/N hasn't mentioned anything to me either', looking at her mentor with a sad smile.
She came home to you that day looking disheartened, but when you asked her what was wrong, she smiled and shook her head, reassuring you that she was okay, pushing away the nagging thought lingering in the back of her mind:
Did you still want to marry her?

“How did you know?”
Clint looks at her in slight confusion and Natasha couldn't really blame him for it. She’d been busy having an internal conversation with herself the whole time they'd been sitting outside and unfortunately for him, she’d voiced her thoughts at the most random part.  
You two decided to visit the Barton's since it'd been a while since either of you had seen Laura and the kids. That’s what led Nat to where she was now; currently sitting with her best friend at the picnic table in Clint’s gigantic backyard, watching you and Laura with Cooper, Lila, and Nate, the three kids laughing as you showed them new fighting stances and moves while fooling around and playing with them.
“How did I know what?”
She looks over at the archer and tugs at her bottom lip, gesturing to the space around them.
“That this,” She sighs. “This was the life you wanted.”
Natasha watches as he looks around at the area surrounding them, his eyes softening when they land on his wife and kids, something that definitely doesn’t go unnoticed by her.
“What, the whole 'married with kids living on a big farm house' life?” He asks with a raised brow.
The redhead is quiet for a moment before she nods her head. “Exactly.”
Clint exhales deeply as his eyes locked on Laura’s figure, who was watching you with an endearing smile while ran around with her children.
“I guess I kind of just knew," He shrugs.
"We were just sitting together one day, and I looked her and just knew that I wanted to be by her side for the rest of my life," He adds. "We live such crazy lives, where nothing ever stays the same and nothing's ever really certain, but she's the most constant thing in my life. I don't know who I would've become without her.”
He starts off saying, and Natasha watches the way his eyes never leaves his wife. She wonders what’s going on inside his head, but nevertheless waits patiently for what else he has to say.
“At the end of the day, getting married doesn’t really matter. It’s just something on a piece of paper that binds you two together. You could spend your whole life with someone without getting married, as long as you love each other, that's all that really matters.”
He pauses, this time to look at her. “But that feeling you get on your wedding day?”
He's smiling, reminiscing back on the memories and Natasha knows what he’s thinking about. After all, she was there for his wedding too and she remembers how he couldn’t stop smiling throughout the whole ceremony.
“It’s indescribable. The fact that this person standing in front of you is vowing to spend the rest of their life with you - they’re vowing that you would be the person they would always come home to, you were the one they would lean on, you were the one who they wanted by their side - for better, for worse, in sickness, in health, till death do you part.”
His voice gets softer and softer the more he goes on, and there’s a fondness in his expression that wasn’t there before.
“When they’re staring at you, promising you all these things, it's like you forget everything that led up to that moment. It’s just you and them. The rest of the world fades away.”
He clears his throat when he remembers who he was talking to, cheeks tinted slightly as he smiles at her. He would crack a joke if it was any other conversation, but this was his best friend. He knew what she needed to hear in that moment.
“I just think it’s the realisation that hits the deepest, you know? The realisation that you’re never going to be alone in life anymore.” He says, meeting her eyes.
“That they’ll love you no matter what, even when it’s hard to. Even when things get scary, or when things get hard, you'll always have someone who loves you wholeheartedly.”
Nat can’t help but hear your voice in her head, remembering the smile on your face when you told her something similar.
“I love you on purpose and I love you by choice, wholeheartedly and intentionally.”

“So, are you going to tell me what this is all about?”
They’ve been quiet for a moment, neither one of them willing to break the silence, until Clint took the first step and asked her what was on his mind.
“Y/N wants that.” She simply answers and Clint already knows. Natasha spilled everything to him when you left the compound all those years ago to go on your mission with Maria. He knows the story between the two of you.
“But they haven’t brought it up again, you know?"
He lets out a quiet ‘oh’ and glances over at you. You were smiling brightly at Lila as she told you a story, Nate now perched up on your shoulders while Cooper was showing Laura the newest defence stance you taught him.
“Well, maybe Y/N has changed their mind.”
But they both know you well enough to know that you haven’t. It’s hard to ignore the way your eyes practically turn into half moons with how wide you were smiling, showing everyone just how happy you were to spend time with the little (but not so little anymore) ones.
Maybe you were just afraid of history repeating itself.
Natasha would see the way your eyes would light up when kids came up to the two of you whenever you went on walks by the park near your apartment, silently loving the way they could bring a laugh out of you with their excitement and curiosity. You’d introduce yourself and then introduce them to Nat, smiling proudly to yourself when you introduce her as your girlfriend, always pressing your lips to her cheek after the kids would walk off with their parents with a wave.
You looked content with the way things were, but your eyes would always say more than you would let on. But the longing and wistful looks would disappear long before Nat could ever broach the subject with you.
“I want that with Y/N.”
She can see the shock on her best friends face. After all, it was the first time she'd ever admitted it to anyone besides herself; after trying to avoid the topic for so long, the words admitting her wants felt foreign even to Natasha.
“Want what with Y/N, Nat?” He asks her tenderly, wanting to hear her admit to him everything that she’d been thinking about ever since she asked him her very first question.
“Marriage.” She voices aloud. “And maybe one day, kids too. Everything you said, I want that with Y/N, I'd like to spend the rest of my life with Y/N.”
Clint can tell that there’s more on her mind, but Natasha's too busy watching you steadily, watching the way you interacted with his kids and he knows that she’s too deep in her thoughts to tell him more. Instead, he reaches over and squeezes her shoulder before pressing an encouraging kiss to her temple.
“Maybe you should just ask them yourself.” He says with a nonchalant shrug, looking over at her, smiling at her wide eyes at his suggestion. He shrugs again, this time looking over at where you were before speaking.
“I mean, what’s the worse that could happen?”
Y/N could say no.

It happens when the two of you are washing the dishes after lunch.
It’s nothing you two haven’t done before, but the absolute domesticity of it all makes her mouth start moving before her brain can think everything through.
“Marry me?”
“…What?”
Your stunned tone reminds her too well of her own reaction three years ago, but she doesn’t let it deter her from repeating herself.
“Marry me.”
To anyone else, it might sound like she was confident in her words, but you could read her well enough to know that she was a nervous wreck standing there holding the dish towel.
“Are you for real?”
She lowers her head slightly as her mind reminds her of the words she said to you.
“Marriage isn’t in the cards for me, a family isn’t in the cards for me. I’m sorry if it for you, but I can’t give you that.”
She peeks through her hair to glance at you. You looked shocked but you didn't look like you were going to flat out reject her. But she can’t help but remember your words when she asked you if you regretted ever asking her to marry you.
“I don’t regret asking you, because then at least I can say that I tried. But it was stupid of me to just assume that you would say yes because of how long we'd been together.”
Maybe you thought that she’s only asking you because you hadn’t made the first move yet. Or maybe you thought she was only asking you because you might leave her if she didn’t.
“Nat," You sigh softly. “You know we don’t have to get married just because I want to.”
She was right.
But it gives her hope to hear you say 'because I want to', that you still think and still want that type of life with her. Even though you’re telling that it was okay - that she is and always will be enough for you - it made her resolute in showing you just how much she wanted that life with you too.
“I’m happy as long as I get to be by your side.”
Your words are making her melt inside - and with the way that you’re looking at her, she knows that you’re just speaking your mind.
“I see you with Cooper, Lila, and Nate, and I see how happy they make you." She says softly and she watches you soften at the sight of her - eyebrows all furrowed, bottom lip forming a pout while she tries to find the right words to say.
“Who would I be if I stood in the way of making you the happiest you can be?" She voices reluctantly, partly because she was afraid you would tease her (which she knows you would never, not about something as serious as this) and partly because she was terrified to hear your answer.
You hum to yourself and she feels you tucking her hair behind her ear before cupping her cheek gingerly. She’s still not looking at you but she can practically feel the reassuring warmth of your smile radiating from in front of her.
“Well first of all, you’d still be the love of my life.”
The words slip from your mouth so easily and so sincerely, that Natasha can't blame her heart for skipping a beat. She gathers enough courage to finally meet your eyes, and she watches your smile grow even more when she does.
“You make me so happy. So, so happy, it's unbelievable. I love those kids to death and yes they make me happy, but at the end of the day, moya lyubov, you make me the happiest.
"Anything you’re willing to give me, Nat - your love, your affection, or even just your time - I’ll take it. I don’t need anything else.”
Natasha never told you about the time she overheard you and Laura talking about kids a few summers back, back when it was only Cooper and Lila. The two of you visited the Barton family, just after you had proposed. Neither of you had the heart to tell either of them what happened, but the couple could feel the tension whenever you were both in the same room.
You told Laura in a gentle voice that you wanted that kids someday when the older woman had asked you about your plans for the future, but Natasha knew that you were putting on a fake smile for the older woman.
“You’re not stupid for wanting things, Y/N/N.”
That was what she told you two years ago. You answered her with a shrug, like you thought that you wanted in life wasn’t important anymore. She’d give you the world if it meant that she would never have to see the pain flickering your eyes like that ever again.
“I know you say that you don’t need anything else and that you’re happy with me, but the more I think about it, I- I just-, would it be so bad?”
You tilt you head to the side like an adorably confused puppy, and Natasha had to fight the urge to cup your face and kiss you senseless.
“What would, Nat?"
Maybe it's the fact that you always speak to her in a steady voice - you were never one to raise your voice after all, always the level-headed one out of the two of you - that made Nat so sure that you would be the perfect parent, the perfect lifelong partner.
She takes a shaky breath, praying to every deity that was out there for courage, her hands finding yours.
“I would really like to marry you, Y/N.” She admits. “I want to be by your side for the rest of my life, if you'd let me.”
She watches you look at her, really look at her, with hesitation in your eyes. It breaks her heart all over again to see you look so guarded as you tugged on your bottom lip, looking so willing and wanting to truly give her every last piece of you to have, yet so reluctant at the same time for fear of having your heart broken once more.
She’s ready to tell you to think about it, that there's no rush and she'll wait until you were ready to give her an answer but in all honestly she’s ready to start crying because if this is what it felt like to have a proposal turned down then damn you did a whole lot better job at acting like you were fine when she told you no.
But before she can do any of that, you send a fond smile her way, calming the racing of Natasha's heart with the sheer tenderness of the way the corners of your mouth tilted up.

You walks up to him and straight up slap him in his golden cheeks.
Slapping your bestie feels so bad, you felt the worst person in this planet. Your anger and frustration towards him still didn't left from your heart.
Taehyung getting slapped with your bare soft hands. He got thrilled. You slapped and left the venue. But eventually you feel someone grabbed your hand so hard. As you expected it's Tae. He was standing with his hand grabbing yours and the other hand holding his delicate cheeks you just slapped. You frowned.
"What was that?" Tae arrogantly asked.
"A slap to remember you that you're nothing but a stranger to me from now." You screamed.
"How dare you?" Tae squeezed your hands.
"How dare you to kiss me?" You eyed.
"Seriously, for a kiss you would slap your bestie" Tae sighed.
"It's My First Kiss" you emotionally acknowledged.
"It's just a kiss". Tae sighed.
"You were my best friend." Your voice broke.
"I still am. Still your best friend." Tae said.
"No, Tae. That's not how things happen. I told you hundreds of time that, I'm not like you. I can't makeout with anyone like you do. I have higher expectations and hope for my First Kiss. But you ruined it." You screamed.
"But you kissed me back." He too screamed.
"I don't, I don't know. It's just happened."
"See, you kissed me back but still reacting like a fucking slut. Don't be emotional virgin,____"
"Shut up, you fuckboy. See yourself. A fucking boy who can sleep with any and every girl across the door. I'm not like you, Taehyung. Maybe your dick fits for everyone but not for me. I never thought that you'll do something like this to me. I was your bestie." You bashed for him.
"What? Think before you speak,____" Tae sighed.
"Why will I? When you never even think about smashing your worst lips on mine? Huh." You said.
"I can't. You're the meanest. Actually your lips taste the worst. You don't even now how to kiss. Huh, how would you even know. You're a emotional Virgin. If I didn't kissed you, nobody in your entire life will do. You should thank me. Poor Virgin." Tae chuckled devilishly.
Hearing those cruel words from Tae. You just broken up. Those tears can't resist to drop themselves from your small pearl eyes. You never thought that your best friend can think that about you. Each and every word he speaks you remember word by word. The known loved face of Tae looked devilish to you now. He was not the same anymore. People change so do he. He turn to devil, who even can hurt their own people. You remember why you even here. It was all because of Tae who needed you. You were always there for your best friend. But he was never there. And he was the one who hurt you the most.
You can't let a word fall out of your mouth. Your neck was feeling pain out of caught your tears back. You don't want to face him anymore. Just want to go away from his gaze. His presence even stinks. He feels like a complete stranger to you. Out of anything you want was someone to tell you what is wrong and right. But your own friend was a traitor.
You still can't processed how things got runied between you. It was only second day of your staying with Tae, and you both already at the verge to broke up. The fight turns into a rival. You never have such a big issue or fight with him. Back in the old days, he always supported, loved and cared about you. But now at the school, he totally treat you like a new nerd girl who's hitting on him. So much things are going on your mind. The presence of your first kiss, the betrayal and the acting a stranger all from your own best friend.
"Huh! Don't fucking cry like a monster. Speak up, my toxic friend." Tae frowned.
His words makes your heart ache more and more. You can't stand to him. You wanted to slap him untill death. He was like a enemy to your eyes.
Without any response you shed off your tears, took a deep breath. Took your books from the library table and left the place.
Taehyung is deeply affected by your presence. He had never seen you like this. He somewhere immaturely annoyed by your response. The slap still leaves a mark on his cheeks. He deep down know that it's all his fault but his ego stops from accepting that. He only knew that you were overreacting and nothing. A kiss never can be compared with a slap. Best friend do this shitty things but the fight turns to Rival. Now, onwards he only know one thing she was his enemy and nothing.
You took your bagpacks from your classroom. And left the school. You stroll down the unknown street. The school, roads, place and your best friend seems stranger. You don't know where to go. For a second you thought of leaving your school from Seoul to go back to Daegu. But you promised Taehyung's mother that you would not leave him in the half way. You decide to stick to him but he wasn't your best friend anymore. But he was, no he still is. Might be you were little too much to response harshly. But he need to apologize to you first. And you were not gonna talk to him anymore.
Taehyung when came to classroom and can't find you anywhere, he got that you skipped the school. He was worried about you, after all you knew no one there. It was completely unknown place to you. But he know his way of finding where are you. He checked your snap location and at his surprise you were already home. He got relieved but still want to realise you that you were wrong to slap him.
You gone home as no other option was left. Did your homework and some self study. And missed your old Tae a bucket. Cried for hours over the same boy. But your strong will power helps you to organise yourself more. Took a fresh shower and done your hair and skin care.
Lying on the bed you were checking your social media. At your surprise you see something that broke your heart again. Tae posted a photo with his school friends and captioned it "far from the toxic friendship. Best day to get to know about real colour of people." You were so annoyed. You deep down know that he posted it for you. Tae intentionally posted to mock you. You were like does he thinks that you were toxic, he want to end friendship so he should tell you early. Such a asshole he was.
You know you have to call him, to tell him that he don't deserve you. That he was wrong to take away your first kiss. You called him and as expected he didn't received. You called him again, he received.
"You asshole." You screamed.
"What? What do you want now?" Tae arrogantly said.
"You fucking don't deserve a bestie like me. Your sarcasm is not a joke. You think you would mock me and I'll ignore it. Huh." You frowned.
"I see... So, how was my post. You like it. I love the caption so much. It's best to ignore toxic people like you." Tae devilishly grinned.
"Just fuck off with your poor fake gang Kim Taehyung. I even don't give a fuck. I hate you." You declined the call.
You screamed across the lungs that you can't with this boy.

Thinking all those think you drifted into sleep. You woke up to some weird noises coming from living room. And it's of screaming some girls. Felt weird that who was gonna scream like a monster at that time. That was barely late evening. As you were moving closer to living room the noises turns to moans. And as expected it was none other than your fake bestie Taehyung.
"What the heck? " You screamed.
"Oh my god. Who's she?" The girl screamed violently.
Taehyung turns to you and let out a deep sigh.
"_____, you're here again. Get off your ass. We're in a moment." Taehyung continued.
"Why in the living room? Don't you have two big bed rooms of your. Don't stain my yellow couches with your c-" you were cut off in the middle by the girl who covered herself with Tae's shirt.
"Shut up. Just go. Babe, we should go to your bed room."
"We can have sex anywhere and everywhere in this house. It's my fucking house,_____. Understood. Now, go." Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"I'm here too. As a roommate, I don't like this. Now go to your bedroom." You sighed.
"You are a bitch,_____. And you know that. You just ruined my mood." Tae frowned
"Babe we can start again, let's make your mood. So, where were we-" the girl said.
"You, please shut up. Take your clothes and fuck off." Taehyung sighed.
"But babe we ca-"
"Get out, slut." Taehyung directed the girl and she wear her clothes finally leaving you two alone.
A deep silence surround you both. None of you were starting a conversation. You were standing at the living room's door and he was sitting at the couch with his hand on the side chin. His dark brown eyes pierced yours. It was like he gonna kill you straight with his staring. You try to hide from his gaze but can not. He got up and grabbed your hands.
"What do you want?" His firm slow voice cut through your ears.
"Huh! I was ... Just asking to be at your bedroom." You stumble.
"Why you slapped me? Is kissing is an offense?"
"For me it is. You have totally changed."
He grabbed your hands and pinned you across the wall leaving enough space to breathe.
"Leave me. You're embrassed of me! Aren't you?" You sighed.
"Embrassed of you? Why?" Tae asked .
"You call me a little nerd in front of your friends. Why? You're treating me like you never knew me. I'm shocked to see such changes. I know I'm not cool like you nor I'm good looking like you. But still you would not talk and even humiliate your best friend in front your school friends. I'm your child hood friend, Taehyung. Mind it." You speak your heart out.
"Are you okay?" Taehyung speaks with his most delicate voice. He never believe that you have think to much just within a day. This was not what he was expecting.
"No, I'm not. I'm here for you but still you are ignoring me. Calling me slut, humiliating me and doing everything a best friend shouldn't do." Tears rolled down from your eyes. You can't anymore hold that back. Your eyes got puffy with tears. Your heart sink because of Tae.
Without any response Taehyung hugged you. Pressed you in his huge warm body. His hands patted your small head and back. But still you were crying.
"Stop crying. You misunderstood me. I'm sorry." Taehyung sighed.
"Please, let me explain you everything. I'm not ignoring you. It's just if I tell everyone that you're my bestie then they would see you as a person like me. I don't want you to be like me. I just wanted that you would make your own image as you wanted in your new school. I want you to be the best in the class and not like me who's always known for having girls around. I... I'm sorry." Taehyung explained.
You hugged him back and even cried more that his shirt got all drenched.
"No. Don't talk to me." You murmured.
"I'm apologizing. I really like you." Taehyung sighed.
A moment of silence between all those words make you stumble. You were still hugged by your best friend who just confronted his feelings to you.

Poor Ingo especially when in all likelyhood Emmet wasn’t even referring to Ingo when he said that, not intentionally at least. Yes he’s got his brother back but it’s not enough to just have him back! There has to be more, Emmet has to do more! If not for his sake then Ingo’s, because Ingo is a sneasel and Sneasels lover considerably shorter lives than humans, most importantly, Ingo doesn’t deserve to suffer any more than he’s already had! Emmet wasn’t saying Ingo wasn’t enough, he was saying he wasn’t doing enough, wasn’t working hard enough, it just came out in the worst way possible!
Its been a minute but i think i was having Emmet frustraded with Ingo not being enough because Ingo will never be enough and Emmet hadnt realised his expectations had been too high. Its been years between the brothers seeing one another. Emmet is putting Ingo up against his memory, which isnt fair. Emmet just wants his brother back and for things to go to how they had been but thats never going to happen. Not just because Ingo has change, which is the reason he got so upset, but because Emmet himself has changed. He just hadnt realised it because he hasnt really taken a look at himself. Ingo probably didnt notice Emmets different at first either, being he couldnt full remember everything right out the gate. I like to think Ingo realises Emmet change and feels sad that Emmet had to go through that but never blaming himself. After all its nothing he wanted or asked for to happen.
Also theres a lot between them now that there hadnt been before. The main one being communication. They cant hold a real meaningful conversation. Emmet missed talking to his brother. Listening to his brother and now even though Ingo is back he still misses him. Its very frustrating feelings. “Ingo is right there hes back but why do i still feel so sad?” Or something along those lines. In a sense hes has lost the brother who left those years ago and he isnt ever going to get him back. But hes not the same Emmet from then either now is he? Its that thought that helps snap him back. Its like the realisation that they both have changed so much helps him cope. Hes not alone. Ingo is having the same problem after all. The Emmet he knew and loved wasnt there to great him. Instead of pushing him away or trying live in the past, Ingo accept him changes and all. Man Emmet feels bad about his outburst. But Ingo is a great brother and so is Emmet. They are there for each other. Even if they have bad days. Which that one was rather bad. It adds doubt to Ingos mind of if he is helping his brother by staying but he will never leave. He knows Emmet wants him around and he knows Emmet is happier with him there. Its just somedays he might need to be reminded now. And the same goes for Emmet. He thinks for a moment maybe Ingo would be better off without a brother like him but he doesnt get far on that line of thought. Ingo could have left. He could leave at anypoint. But he didnt. He stayed and thats enough for Emmet.
I actually had a 3rd part planned for how this fight made them closer. I mean once they get their worries out in the open the can be cleared up. It helps strengthen their bond. Human or sneasel. They are family. And they really do love each other.
~ I have been trying to respond to this almost since i got it but other stuff kept me from it so im sorry its a bit late. Sadly i only had like 30 minute to bop this out. Also i hate how i wrapped it up. How lame xD but i lost im train of thought so rip. Again sorry this was so late and i dont think i even stayed on topic. Fish Upon the Sky Episode 1-7 (The Problems with Walls; An analysis on Duen and Pi)

I swear, if I could just settle down, stop running away and actually analyse FUTS the way I usually do. I would have so many essays by now on how authentic and deep this show can get with some of its characterisations. As I  write this FUTS essay that has constantly been plaguing me and making me frustrated that no one else is seeing these themes, I realise again sadly how this director has sadly failed to show the vision of what he wanted for the series.  An essay on how DuenMeen and MorkPi mirror each other so much with their themes, it sounds crazy to think that they do because their storylines on the surface seem different at times. Still, also their love interests act differently towards them, and they have different dynamics with them. But that's what's so great about meta and mirroring in TV, especially in shows that aren't meant to be seen as deep or purposely filled with hints and clues to break down. Fish upon the Sky is one of those shows. It struggles to find a balance between wanting to be more profound and showing exciting themes vs pleasing and appealing to the audience, using humour and other exaggerated performances/narratives to do so. However, the writer of Fish upon the sky novel has always had her works struggle with these issues and themes. Jittirain always writes emotional stories about unrequited love, with different lessons, ideas, or characterisations that people fail to understand or truly value because the meta/depth of their personalities is hidden or misunderstood by their own directors. This is what happened in  2gether; this is what also happened in Theory of Love.

A Misunderstood Duo
In order to really understand how grand the narrative the show is failing to truly flesh out is, you need to understand that Pi and Duen (the two main characters of the show) are the narrators of both their own stories. Pi's is Fish upon the sky whilst Duen is Leech upon the sky (😂😂) but what's great is that you can already see the mirroring/similarities just by their titles. Even though their insecurities and worries seem different, it's the same theme for them;  both struggle with love because they secretly have a lot of self-deprecation and hesitancy from how people have treated them. It's not as noticeable when you see Duen's characterisation/storyline, but if you truly focus on the themes of his narrative without being distracted by the loud comedic routine he has, you'd see that his biggest insecurity, that he tries to be defensive and act like he doesn't care about is his dumbness. He genuinely feels weaker/inferior because he's known as being dumb to everyone around him. He struggles to process anything that is complex and requires more depth or thought.  It's played for laughs because he relishes in the idea that people feel exasperated by his actions. He acts like he doesn't get bothered by how people perceive him because he's still seen as socially acceptable, unlike Pi, who's actually bullied and alienated from society because of his own 'flaws'.
But you can see that it's all a façade when it comes to Duen, just like with how Pi handles his own insecurities and trauma to do with his perceived flaws. It's why Duen chooses to lie to Meen that he's a dentist. He didn't want him to see him the same way others do. This already should show that he doesn't actually enjoy being seen as dumb, but he has walls up to make it seem like he doesn't care. He knows he's constantly being compared to others, but he can't change who he is (just like Pi didn't also want to change how he looked or acted to please people at first). So he jokes and tries to see a positive in being that way; he starts to want to slack off and cheat off others when it comes to work. He stops taking University seriously and repeats classes constantly because he always fails. That is until Meen shows up, and then he starts to want Meen to believe he's something more. Why?
But in case I haven't repeated it enough, Duen is like Pi, whose insecurity is easier to see since we watched him get attacked and bullied for it immediately in the first episode. It's Pi's true thoughts and opinions we see in the show as the audience, whilst Duen's story is hidden with comic relief and unseriousness. They both try to act like they're okay with what they are being judged by in society. Thus, they act confident, they're both loud, they're selfish, acting like they don't care how people see them. Preventing others from getting to hurt them by making it look like they are in control of what they have and use that to their own advantage with others.
They both stay heavily in denial about their true feelings in general, but primarily with the critical focus; the people who make them question everything about their flaws that come into their life and frighten them the most. The ones that break down those facades; make them automatically want to run away whilst being unable to stop showing and escaping their true feelings whenever they're in their presence.

The Use of Humour and Sarcasm 
So what we end up with is a narrative with two incredibly annoying and flawed characters who are seen in the audience as exaggerated caricatures for comic relief and shallow storytelling. And it's brilliant because both their unlikable/loud, selfish personalities are just fake walls built, so they don't crumble and get affected by how society views them or wants them to act. So you see, there's the issue that people keep misunderstanding about these two stories, especially about these two brothers. They're realistic; they're flawed because they've been affected by society and the environment around them. They're acting like how anyone who's been hurt before would act, they have built up walls, and they've decided to just stay by themselves and let that guide them in everything. They deal with their issues with sarcasm and humour to reduce the seriousness of the situation, so they don't appear weak or let anything hurt them.  
That's why I love this narrative of FUTS, it's meta and more profound than people think, but because the director doesn't do the best to show it, it can get lost in all the exaggerated humour. For example, with Pi, because he's socially anxious and always overthinks how people think of him (due to his past experiences of being abused and hurt by being ignorant of how people thought of him), his world is wildly exaggerated in his head. The way he narrates the story is played for laughs and is a very telling and realistic representation of how overthinking is expressed in his mind; it's overdone, loud and nonsensical at times. That's what social anxiety does; it makes you cry about one stare, one laugh, one action someone does, it makes you panic over the most minor things, and Pi does that with panic and boisterous, sarcastic humour from the start of the show.
Hence his story also has exaggerated humour because he deals with his issues with that fake jokes and sarcasm. So the show also exaggerated humour too when we are in his perspective.  This is actually similar to Duen's breaking the 4th wall narrative style of his storyline. As with Duen, whose narrator of his story mocks and laughs at his actions ironically. When really that is just literally himself fighting with his inner voice about his true feelings about Meen. He breaks the 4th wall because he's internalising his own emotions and dealing with them as a skit; the narrator is his true self ridiculing him for not accepting that he has feelings for Meen and that he's not as bright/cool as he thinks he is. So if we understand this and notice that the narrator makes fun of him constantly and jokes about his actions, you'll realise that Duen sees himself that way too; he sees himself as a joke. He doesn't see himself as suave and carefree; he actually mocks himself internally for being dumb and being gross.

Pi: The Need for Protection and Avoidance 
So already, just from breaking it down with this point of view, Duen and Pi mirror each other so well, and their narratives because of this focus on the same themes and ideas of self-discovery. Both are flawed characters with a lot of vulnerabilities and pain that they refuse to deal with properly. An id ego defence mechanism catalysed because of their past experiences and protection of their mental space. They both stay in denial, hurting who they love by refusing to let them get to see them without the walls down and more. Pi hates that he loses control with Mork and refuses to let Mork have his heart because he believes Mork is too good for someone like him secretly.  He knows he'll be the one damaged. Hence the choice to intentionally misinterpret his brother's metaphor on the vaccine analogy and view it as the complication with getting with Mork. Let me try and use this to break down his mindset with why he chose to still choose Nan even though he knows (he does know) that he wants to be with Mork romantically. Listen to the analogy his brother uses. He mentions the iatrogenic vaccine, a vaccine intended for a patient that starts helping the patient be well but actually causes more harm than good. The end result is because of the incompatibility of the vaccine and the time it takes for those results to show up in the patient and make their lives affected in a negative conclusion.

 A vaccine ironically is meant to be an antidote, something that saves people, that helps and makes them feel better. And that's what Mork says he wants to be for Pi, it's romantic, but once his brother announces a different version of a vaccine, Pi jumps with that analogy and believes that's the truth about Mork and him that makes sense to him, than seeing it positively. So with this analogy, we can break it down this way:
The Iatrogenic vaccine was too different and incompatible with the patient. Which is what Pi believes about Mork. Remember, Pi doesn't think  (because of what people have told him) that he deserves loyalty and love from people better looking/capable than him. He sees Mork in this light from the start; he views Mork as a rival because Mork is good looking, popular, strong and cool, basically things that are not associated with Pi to others.  So Mork and him are incompatible in Pi's mind.  This is why Pi constantly asks Mork why he wants to be close to him. He just doesn't understand it.  
Second, the Iatrogenic vaccine starts off good but causes damages in an irreparable way to the patient. It's the patient that ends up being affected by this vaccine interaction, not the vaccine that caused it. Before Wan starts this vaccine conversation, he discusses how people around his hospital are patients primarily because of heartbreak; they come in with damaged mindsets, broken hearts and self-harming injuries because of being hurt by love and letting themselves be vulnerable to that. All Pi hears is people hurt themselves over the pain of heartbreak and being abandoned. That's the complication if he does finally trust Mork. Especially after Mork and him get to be close, it'd be just like with everyone who has gotten to know him in the past, who stayed by his side as 'friends', once they learnt about him, what they said is that he wasn't worth being loyal to. So many people used and deserted him, and it almost broke him. This is why Pi grow the walls he has now. Even though Pi is chasing after Nan, he's not expecting an answer from Nan that's positive; Nan is a fantasy, something he can use as a goal to want to keep chasing and distracting himself from that singleness and loneliness he felt at the start of the show. This is why he's doing all of this; he just wants a distraction from the mess of his life. But to Pi, Mork? Mork is real. He's serious; he's someone who Pi actually truly will be damaged by if he's hurt and left by him; he's someone who Pi truly loves and is real to Pi, it's terrifying, and so he rather just avoid that because of the risk of a complication. To be that patient tricked by the vaccine and left to deal with those consequences all alone? Yeh, no, he can't do that.  Pi sees him as a friend and doesn’t want to end that because that's the first thing in a while that has made him feel actually happy being himself and accepted. Being friends with Mork makes him feel safe. So again, it's selfish, but it’s all about him preserving what he already has with Mork rather than damaging it.

Those complications are exactly that result if he lets Mork in romantically and Mork sees his true self and leaves like everyone; it’s not Mork who’d be hurt. It’s Pi who’d have nothing more to believe in if he lets himself be that vulnerable. Again Pi is thinking with his head when it comes to Mork; there’s a massive risk if someone takes the wrong vaccine, that person is damaged because of it. Pis journey with Mork is the same thought process that friends to lovers have. The fear of losing each other if they cross that line, of taking things too far and ruining the foundation they had that made them safe. The fear of the love being false as it always has been from others.  Pi thinks he likes Mork because how can he not? However, Mork is always there, making it hard for him to think. He associates Mork with niceness and protectiveness, but that doesn’t mean he has to accept him romantically, and Mork sees right through him and is fond of breaking down those walls he put so high up to ensure he doesn't get hurt again. Mork is the one pushing Pi further away from him the more he clings because Pi doesn’t like losing control. Same as Duen. And Mork doesn’t let him just figure it out without manipulating everything; the more he does that, the more Pi feels manipulated and tricked into wanting Mork as a partner, and that's too scary for Pi. This is why it’ll be massive when he finds out who Mork truly is on his phone as the guy from nearby faculty.

Duen: The Need for Nonchalance and Ignorance
Duen is the inversion with his storyline; he tries to look cool and better to Meen,  refusing Meen to see him when he's worried, anxious or insecure because he himself shuts off those emotions whenever Meen triggers them. He doesn't want to face the truth, that he hates being seen as dumb and not being seen as a hero to Meen. He lies to Meen because he's trying to keep him by his side without actually letting him see his true self. After all, if he does, he also may judge or leave him too (guess what same as Pi's worries with Mork. Mirroring!).  Duen tries to act unaffected just like Pi does with Mork because again, they both know once they break down and give in, there's no turning back, they will be exposed, and the' truth' about them (which they believe and see about themselves) will push the people they truly want by their sides away.
So instead, they grapple for control by faking lack of care and feelings for their partner; they refuse to apologise quickly and refuse to give in easily to them to further their relationships, increase their trust and let them in. They refuse to let go of their fake personas and fake masks and walls they've built and try hard to hold onto the facade, which hurts Meen and Mork in the end. They both push and pull and show signs of vulnerability and romance only when they're alone with no one else around (like the tent scene with MeenDuen and the after school night scene with MorkPi outside). They show worry, devotion, and they show that they want them by their side. And these are the moments when we actually get to truly see who they are without their walls, their fake personas unshed, and their niceness, their care and protectiveness over them exposed.

Wan: The Comparison and Norm
When we're first introduced to the show, Wan is mentioned almost immediately as we see Pi's struggles. Because of Wan's reputation, people choose to crowd around Pi, and it's sad, but I also think Duen also had this same issue, just a bit different. With Pi, it's about his outer appearance, his beauty standards vs society's. It's exposed to him he lacks those, but it's his intelligence similar to Wan that makes people stay by his side at first.  He also studies dentistry as Wan studied Medicine, viewed by societal standards as impressive and praiseworthy. Pi is used by people who want to both get to Wan and want to profit from his brain and abilities. Duen is the inverted version of this; he is seen as handsome and cool and aloof, a bit messy, but the reason why Meen first leaches onto him is his street smarts and survival skills with social interactions, he knows the right people, he is seen as cool by others including Pi, but he's also seen as dumb. He's failed repeatedly, unlike his brothers at trying to obtain a degree.  So he has the outer appearance but lacks the next valuable thing in society's opinion; brains and the ability to increase your status by your talents and skills. Duen lacks that; he doesn't have any specific things about himself that he can fully be proud of. He's not highly talented, he's not intelligent, and he's also not viewed by women as extremely attractive or awe-worthy. He nonchalantly takes on this persona; he chooses to block any worries about things being serious because he lacks the smarts to think of things deeply or ponder about life's questions.

He's insecure, however, about this, and you see it when he tries to join in with Wan and Pi when they discuss vaccines and love. As Pi transforms for Nan, his lie is that he's well of without other people in his life like Mork; he pretends he's okay being seen as loud, not friendly, selfish etc.  Duen's own lie to Meen is that he is a version of Wan, of what people think Wan is; intelligent, put together and reliable. Because what Duen wants from Meen all the time (he doesn't realise he already has this devotion from Meen for just being himself when he's not trying) is for Meen to want to rely on him since that's precisely what Meen keeps telling him he likes about him, or wants to learn from him; street smarts etc. Duen likes being seen as a protector, a hero, a helper etc., to Meen. And that's why he stays adamant with his lie and refuses to let Meen truly see him below the surface.
Like Pi, he also doesn't want to admit what he knows and has fought to accept, which is, he loves Meen and wants him by his side. It's the fear of losing what he has with Meen that makes him do what he does, which is the same reason Pi also keeps rejecting Mork; it's the fear of losing him. And that's the ironic thing about Pi and Duen, they're ironically trying to preserve what they love, but because of scars, insecurities and walls, they're hurting the ones they love by just refusing to be their authentic selves. It's ironic because they think being themselves is the worst option. Yet, on the surface, they act like they're fine with who they are, they're loud about being carefree of what others think of them, they're okay if these two leave them, but in reality, their worst fears are admitting that they agree with what people see in them as flaws, that they also hate themselves for that. That's heartbreaking because they fought so hard to keep loving themselves, to keep believing in their worth, but society made them genuinely think that they're wrong. And it's painful but realistic.

Again they're all similar and mirror each other. I just want people to understand that FUTS is a deep show; I know the director doesn't do the best job with what he's been trying to show, but it is deep; there is thought at times put to it in the profound moments. In the moments where both Pi and Duen aren't being fake and are their true selves, you'll notice that the jokes and humour slowly reduce whenever they are true; the narrator also reduces for Duen because he doesn't struggle as much with his feelings for Meen like he did at the first time. All the stuff that happens in the show is on purpose, even if done messily and poorly. People love to hate on the show. It has a lot of flaws, I know, but it's not the worst thing; it has deep characters that are incredibly flawed and hurt (even Mork, who we still hope will get to understand his story) it has people that act one way on the surface but hold deep scars and pains below whilst wearing a mask. The characters are unlikable because they are realistic to how people with self-sabotaging habits and deprecation act. That's why I like this show. And I'm sad I wasn't writing out more all about the meta and moments I've enjoyed so far. Anyway, I'm grateful this show has been shown this year; it definitely made me ponder my own ideas about how I view myself and if I have walls up around the people I love. I think many people do relate to Pi or Duen somehow, and it's unfortunate that the director doesn't help us feel the same way about the narrative when it's actually a great BL story to unravel and watch.

Floch wasn’t the type to be interested in anyone, especially during the mission. He was too focused on his own to care about others. This time was different. When he saw a person falling from the tree, he couldn’t care but run with his ODM gear. Floch wasn’t really thinking about the reason their equipment broke, but he knew that leaving it to themself is just a selfish move. So Floch left his formation, trying best to catch them. He fastly used his ODM gear, opening arms toward the person. They simply accepted his gesture, binding their arms on his neck.
They were almost home, it was a good thing. Floch tried to put her down on the ground slowly, to not cause any harm. He never actually saw them before, or maybe they just never catched his eyes. They were looking pretty, even he noticed that.
“Thank you… I mean, really thank you.” they said, after a few seconds of silence. Floch didn’t actually think of getting a credit for his action.
“Well, no hard feelings.” Floch answered, taking them from him. He just started to fix his ODM gear, ready to get back to formation.
Surprisingly, the person he just saved started to walk next to him, smiling brightly and thankfully. It was such a surprise, but Floch tried his best to not show his happiness toward it. He wasn’t the type of person to get easily excited outside, but inside of him he just got really happy. At first he was even ready to start a conversation, but finally decided to keep himself shut.
“Is there any way I could reward you your help?” they asked, breaking the minutes of silence. They were already high with ODM gear, but Floch heard them really good.
“I didn’t do anything to be rewarded.” he answered, keeping his face away from them.
“Still, you did great!” they shouted, but Floch left them behind.
For real he got really happy and felt appreciated. But he was the type to avoid someone praising him. Floch didn’t know why, he just felt embarrassed, so he left them behind. Those words were repeating in his head anyway. After they got back, it was dinner time. Or in other words, the worst time of Floch’s day. He was always sitting alone, and he never had a regular place to sit. Everyone had their group of friends, but he had none. That wasn’t messing him that much, but when he had a moment to think about his life, it was making him sad.
He entered as one of the last people around, stressfully looking for a free table to eat on. He found one, so he just sat with his dinner. Floch was thinking about the situation he just had before, glancing to see that person around. But he didn’t see them anywhere, he got pretty nervous. Not like he cared that much, but if they die anyway, him losing his time to save them was a pointless waste. Floch didn’t have a thing to think of anyway. Everyone was talking with someone, conversating about the mission they just had. But Floch didn’t have a soul to talk with, which was generally pretty sad.
Again, surprisingly, he felt someone sitting next to him, which made him realise who it was pretty fast. It was the person he saved before, smiling the same way, just sitting right next to him. Though, it was the first time someone ever sat with him at dinner, like intentionally.
“I noticed you’re sitting here alone. You didn’t deserve it, though.” they said, slowly blowing on their hot food.
“How can you know what I deserved? I mean, I just saved you. Probably anyone would do the same.” Floch answered, trying to hide his joy, he received within those words.
“I just know you are a good person. And sitting alone like a fool? Definitely not deserved.” they explained themself.
“Well, having no friend is a benefit sometimes. You probably have your group to sit with, why are you wasting your time with me?” Floch asked, trying to look carefree.
“Because you’re the one that saved me. My name is Y/N. What’s your?” they made a move first, trying to make friends with Floch.
Afterall it wasn’t that hard to gain some trust from him. Floch got pretty excited, just thinking about gaining a friend made him happy. But after a minute, he realised it may be just temporary. Maybe they just wanted to sit with him to reward his help? Tomorrow won’t be that happy. Y/N won’t be that devoted to him.
“Floch. Floch Forster.” he answered with a visible smirk on his face. They smiled back, but it was it for their conversation today.
Floch slowly opened the doors to the dining hall sleepily, getting everyone to know he didn’t sleep well last night. He did get some sleep, but it wasn’t enough to be energized for the day. Floch obviously spent some time wondering about Y/N he met yesterday. Actually they were on his mind for a long time, which made him sleep less. He knew that today he isn’t going to sit with them. It was just one time thing, of course he knew. But for some reason he was still kind of hyped by this situation. Like, he was thinking maybe they will sit with him? But at the same time he was almost sure he was expecting too much. Today he had to sit with some freshman soldiers, which were transported here a couple days ago. Even they had their group of friends. Floch had none, which made him sit next to them. He didn’t say anything, just started eating like he used to do every time sitting with unknowns. They were surprised at first, but then they decided to ignore Floch. Well, he wasn’t interested in making friends with them anyway, so the way the event turned was satisfying.
Then, he felt a warm heat on his shoulders, which made him fastly turn around. He saw them. The person he saved, looking at him with a smile on his face. He was really surprised, and also kind of amazed, but maybe not in the right way, because physical touch wasn’t something he experienced much.The warmth of their hands made him probably red on his face, because it was so unexpected. They sat next to him, placing their dinner on the table.
“Can I stay?” they asked, with a smirk on their face. “Are those your friends? I thought you’re sitting alone, that’s why I got here.” they added, looking at him.
“No, I sat on the first plate I noticed free. You really aren't going back to your friends?” Floch questioned, looking at them.
“You are my friend, aren’t you?” they smiled, leaving Floch with noticeable blush on his face. He didn’t really expect that answer. But it obviously wasn’t making him mad, or whatever. Forster was happy, because he finally gained a friend.
“I mean, if you think so. I’m not really a friendly type of person.” he tried to hide his excitement. Floch was like this always. He didn’t like it when people felt satisfaction, because of him. So he tries to act careless, which is not always working out.
“I think there is no problem with this. I mean everyone deserves a friend, they can always rely on. And you deserve it really much. I see a big problem with you sitting here alone.” they said, with a haughty voice. It sounded like something very important and serious.
“You can chill with no worries, I’m doing fine.” Floch cutted it off, maybe from some kind of excitement he got, when they were complimenting him that much. He wasn't a big attention seeker.
Or maybe he was, but it was deep inside him. Floch was actually scared to show how much attention he is interested in getting. He thought that showing this side of him will discourage people from him. Everyone that cared at least a bit took a big part of Floch’s heart. He was thankful to all people that even sometimes, showed some interest.
“I have a gift for you, or maybe just a return to your help yesterday.” they changed the topic, with a smirk on their face. Floch got really, really surprised. He absolutely didn’t expect anything, not even a thanks.
“Thank you, I mean… I didn’t save you to receive any gift or anything. I just think it’s a common thing to do. I saw you in trouble, so I had to help you get out of it.” he smiled, finishing his food. He should probably leave now, but he stayed. Stayed to talk with Y/N.
“Not everyone is so kind-hearted like you. Some people wouldn’t care to catch me, but you did. You deserve a solid thank you.” they explained themself, smiling. They were still eating their food, not like Floch who was already finished.
“It's impossible to call me a kind hearted person. I’ll probably do bad things in future, in particular to save people I love.” he said, making the situation seem more serious. Y/N got pretty interested in his words, but decided to not scrumb the topic. Probably it’s something deeper, so their question may trigger him.
“Well, we’re in scouts afterall. Each of us did bad things, but it does not ease you to be a good person. You are a good person to people you like. I can’t call you a bad person after things you did to me.” their explanations did well to impress Floch. He immediately started to discuss this topic in his head. Y/N seemed to be very intelligent and also not really straightforward. Talking to them made him feel really well.
“You have a point, but for me overall I’m not a good person. But thank you, anyway. You are such a good person, I mean… to me. Precious human, I’d say.” he confessed, leaning his head down due to embarrassment.
It was the first time he ever complimented someone like that. Those words were really big to him, and meant so much. Floch ever wouldn’t call someone like this, but it was an immediate thought. He just realised it is the right person to compliment deep from his heart. Not lie, be manipulative or whatever. Just be a good person. As they said.
Floch was already half-asleep, exactly the moment when he heard loud knocking on his doors. He was really surprised, but also annoyed at first. Who was interrupting his time, when he is supposed to rest? He somehow managed to put himself up again, only with his boxers, also. Floch wasn't aware of the way, the knocking person was Y/N. When he opened the door, the first thing he saw was a big plate, holded by Y/N. It was his favourite meal… Though, he couldn’t eat it for years. That’s because he left his mother's side to join the Survey Corps.
“Don’t ask me how I know, but isn’t it your favourite food?” they asked with a smirk on their face. Floch couldn’t help but just stand here with a confused face.
“How did you… Thank you.” he replied, without useless words. He was really happy but also surprised. Y/N was so dearly to him right now.
“That is an official thanks for your help that day. I finally did something to return your great action.” they explained themself, smiling.
“That was a while ago. Why are you still concerned?” Floch asked, opening the doors further, to make Y/N enter.
They sat down on the floor, because the table wasn’t big enough. But they didn’t mind. Y/N was slowly imposing the food. Floch was just looking, trying to hide his happiness.
“But for me it was a big thing. And I know you aren’t going to approve it anyway. You are just the type to keep yourself away from the merit.” it was surprisingly correct. Floch in fact was exactly like they explained.
“You are my precious human, so I will worry forever.” they said like it’s nothing smiling.
And that was the answer he wanted to hear.

patience and your expectations are what’s getting in your way. it’s... not that you’re particularly impatient of a person, but you lead very heavily with emotions and first impressions, so you don’t always have the patience to see a person through until they can show you their best side. you might be a pisces or have pisces-like tendencies when it comes to love— you’re looking for a fairytale person, someone you can idolise, someone you can fall headfirst into and never hit the ground. you want someone where you take one look at that person and you just know. love at first sight, basically.
the thing is, if anything less than a disney prince character is not good enough for you, then, well, no one is going to be good enough for you. so maybe your one true love will not be drop dead gorgeous. and maybe they live in a room that doesn’t even have an ensuite bathroom, much less a castle. and maybe you’re trying your best not to be superficial but you’re just a tad disappointed to hear that. that’s okay, but do remember that the one that’s meant for you is not the person that will love you at first sight, but at last sight. the person that will never intentionally hurt you, and will build a home with you. don’t jump in with a someone that won’t love you just to miss the timing for someone truly good for you to enter your life. i hope this person will be able to make you happy with just a little time!
PILE TWO: DANCER
trust and insecurity are getting between you and love. i believe there was a close call of sorts that scared you into retreating from romance. maybe you just decided the vibes with this person were off and never went completely official with them, just to find out later on that they were “seeing” your friends as well this whole time. you deemed that encounter enough excitement for the next year and didn’t bother trying to go out on dates anymore. this close call might even have blown up to a point where you had to cut off a whole lot of people.
darling, i used to think that the right community will always find you so long as you keep living your life and being your best, authentic self. but, especially with covid, this isn’t the case at all. you can be all alone for so, so long, with absolutely no remorse from your higher power. so, if you want love to come in, you can’t keep your head down and your sword in your hand the whole time. you need to believe in others, believe that whatever happened is not the norm but an exception and believe in yourself, believe that if you put yourself out there people will look and listen. so let your guard down, if only for a second, and see what the world has to offer. once you take off the barbed wiring, you’ll realise that there has always been people willing to come in, but love will not jump across your fence if it will get hurt along the way.
PILE THREE: GUITARIST
hello my fellow pile three-ians, let’s start with the bad news. what you are lacking right now is maturity in the way you love. now, let me preface what i will say next that for most of you, this is not your fault. love was simply not a priority or issue until it was, and even when it was, i doubt there were many positive teaching examples around for you to learn from anyway. you think about love mostly in terms of attention and affection, you will never understand why people tell white lies. you’ll argue with someone in a bad mood if the topic comes up and it has to be done. you’re not sure how your love in return will help the other person, but you imagine it’ll just work itself out since it seems to for everyone. you either take yourself too seriously, or you ‘mayhaps’ your way through life, or you seesaw between both depending on your mood. love will not come in until you have fully mastered the idea of love, not just the romantic parts, but the parts where you make changes to yourself and your life without hesitation or grudges so that your love will help your lover bloom, just like theirs will for you.
alright, i’m done unloading the bad news. the good news is that you will grow and transform into someone with so much more purpose in the way you love. it’s going to take a while: 6 months to 2 years, and you’re going to feel like you’re losing out while you’re still working on yourself and everyone else is already in relationships, but it’s going to be so worth it. there is one thing that sets you apart from everyone else, and that is your intentions. your intentions are pure as snow, and it will show when you find a love so bright that angels would stop to listen, so beautiful that your love story will be a beacon of hope that soulmates really do exist, and so strong that it will feel against the forces of nature to get between the two of you.
PILE FOUR: BARTENDER
i don’t think this is news to you, but what is getting between you and love is simply time. you are a lot of things right now: you’re the leader, the conceptualist, the mediator, and people depend on you to call the shots whether this is at home, work, or school. either your life has always been full speed ahead of your peers, or you’ve been preparing for this for forever; either way, you’re forging ahead in and challenging everything that once was to build something new instead. you have zero time for a lover right now.
this is your calling, but... it is lonely up there for a multitude of reasons. they say if you want to go far, go together, but that’s only true if everyone was as fast as each other in the first place. without that, there will be jealousy, and there will be betrayals. so, it looks to me that right now, you alone can go fast and far and you just don’t want to deal with other people now, having spent a lot of time either trying to get across to other people or watch your back for those who want your spot. i guess i should warn you that there will be a point in time where you will have to take a break and learn to let some things be, but that point doesn’t seem to be in your immediate future. it stands to reason, then, that your next love is not coming in (as a love connection at least) anytime soon. for now, focus and become the star that you were meant to be. the story my cards tell me cut off right before you actually begin this love story, so all i can do is wish you the very best! take care and don’t overwork yourself <3

Redemption (Don Giorno x Fem! reader)
For all intents and purposes this was meant to be sad and angsty, but my basic bish ass couldn't, so here we are ❤️💭🥺
I listened to this song while thinking this scenario up, it somehow just added gravity to my thoughts.
Word count: 2865
“Finally” you mused to yourself as you peeked outside from your apartment window. The sun was out in all its golden splendor after days and days of dreary, rainy grey skies. You could appreciate chilly, stormy weather but even you had a limit, and it was awfully cold and lonely when all you had hold on to was a spare pillow. No. No more wallowing, the sun was out and you’d be late for work if you didn’t get on the go. So you put on your prettiest little sundress and walked to your office, a day like this couldn’t be wasted.
Smiling into the sky, absorbing all the sunshine you could, you made a mental to-do list for your day. Life was slowly starting to look up for you, you landed a new job that you loved, you finally went back to studying towards your passion, and you finally started feeling like yourself again. The sparkle had returned to your eyes, and that gentle smile had found your face again. To everyone around you, you were positively radiant. Little did you know, that your glow was also being observed by someone you locked away carefully in the dark recesses of your past…
Giorno wasn’t intentionally watching you, he just happened to be sitting at the Café you both usually went to on your way back from your morning run. You always fussed that you wouldn’t lose any weight if you immediately ate the calories you exercised away, to which he always responded that you were perfect, earning a shy smile from you. A winsome expression occupied his handsome face as he recalled the memories of you… he had to remind himself that they were just memories though, and that chapter of his life had ended, rather softly, just over a year ago. However, the ripples of that awful conversation still remained with him, disturbing the still waters of his heart.
He looked at you until you disappeared around the corner, contemplating if it would be wise to go after you, ultimately deciding against it. If fate would afford him another opportunity to see you, then he would act on that, knowing full well that you were well within your rights to never want to see him again… but so much has changed since then, if you could just give him another chance, he would prove that he’s become the man you deserve.
“Giogio, sorry I’m late, oh I thought Mista would be here already… why are we here anyway?” asked Fugo as he rushed in in a huff.
“Oh good morning, Fugo, Mista is otherwise engaged, he won’t be joining us. There’s no particular reason, its just a beautiful day, I thought a change of scenery would be nice, the coffee is delicious here as well,”
“And you just might run into her again…” interrupted Fugo, “it’s been, what? A year now? Don’t you feel it’s time to move on? I’m sure she’s moved on by now as well,”
“She hasn’t, I know she hasn’t just yet I’m sure of it. Look, I’ve tried, it’s not going to be fair to anyone involved if I just go off with a random person again, I’ll always be looking for her, it’s not fair to them or myself,” replied Giorno, his tone being slightly harsher than he intended.
Fugo grimaced at the bite in Giorno’s voice, “I’m just looking out for you,”
“I know, I’m sorry, I saw her this morning, she looked well. I’ve decided I’m not going to pursue anyone else now, I want her back, so that’s what I’m going to do. Anyway, I just wanted to touch bases since I haven’t seen anyone since flying back. Everything is still under control I presume?” asked Giorno, wanting to change the subject.
“Just think about this carefully Giorno, it’s your decision at the end of day. Well, everything is fine here, everyone is behaving as they should. Your hard work over the years is paying off now,”
“Good, if we can maintain this, then it would have all been worth it, we’ve sacrificed so much to get this far,” there was an edge to Giorno’s voice, a sliver of the resolve he displayed years ago when he was still a soldato, peeking through. There was very little, if anything at all, that Giorno couldn’t get if he set his mind to it.
Your work day was going well, you were busy from the time you set foot in the office, so you were thankful to step out of the office for an hour when your lunch break rolled around. Deciding you weren’t really hungry, you just ordered your favorite mocha frappe and decided to use the time to catch up on your reading for class.
It was still sunny and warm outside, so you decided to sit at a park bench and take advantage of the lovely atmosphere. You took in your surroundings for a few minutes before whipping out your tablet and finding the journal articles you wanted to go over.
Giorno had just ended off his last appointment and was being driven home when he saw you sitting on the bench, quietly drinking your frappe, absorbed by whatever it was you were reading. Asking the driver to pull over, he took a few moments to gaze at you, you were just so beautiful, even more so now. It was his moment, taking a deep breath and smoothing out the invisible wrinkles in his clothes, he made his way towards you, summoning up his confidence with each step he took.
“Is this seat taken?”
“No, would you….” You had to look twice to make sure that your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you.
“Are you well, cara? It’s been so long,” Giorno cringed at his choice of words but there was no going back now.
“Giorno… hi… wait, what are you doing here?” There was so much more you wanted to ask him, but those were the only words you managed to string together.
“I was on my way home when I saw you here, I just wanted to say hello. It’s been an eternity since I’ve seen you. It’s entirely up to you if you want to talk, or if you want me to leave now, I can, I just couldn’t ignore you after seeing you,” Giorno explained, thinking about how awkward he sounded. He played this moment out in his mind a thousand times, never once imagining that he would come off sounding so inept.
The nervous giggle you spoke through as you answered him further eroded away at his makeshift confidence. Who was he trying to fool, he thought to himself. He still adored you, clearly you still held all the power in this situation, but you were too virtuous to realise it.
That was one of your best traits, but also your worst, you were an idealist, often becoming disenchanted when things didn’t work out the way you planned. Giorno on the other hand was a realist, yes, he had many dreams, but he held no illusions about how to reach them or the sacrifices that would ultimately need to be made. This difference in world views resulted in many an argument, until finally you decided that you couldn’t keep fighting with this man, who only seemed to drift further and further away from you despite how much you loved him. To him you came off as arrogant and ungrateful, unwilling to see how certain decisions, however impossible, had to be made and it filled him with misery to do so, and to you, he came off as cold and unforgiving, willing to cast away precious bits of his humanity, and for what? He never explained anything to you.
Feeling uncomfortable with the silence after you spoke, Giorno tried to keep the conversation going.
“Your hair, you’ve let it grow out, it’s beautiful…” he said gazing dreamily at you.
“Oh, yeah, it’s due mostly to laziness, but it worked, so I just went with it, but thank you, you look very good too, life’s been treating you well,” you said with a bright smile. In your heart of hearts you knew a part of you would always love Giorno and would want him to be happy, even if it wasn’t with you. You were trying not to stare at him too much, but it was incredibly difficult not to, with his long golden curls and chiseled, handsome face that smiled so softly, you really couldn’t look away for very long.
“I’d really like to continue this catch up, I can tell you have somewhere else to be though… would you like to meet me for dinner tonight? Nothing fancy, just a couple of friends catching up,” he asked earnestly, his eyes searching your face for any hint of what might be going on in your mind.
Your heart fluttered against your will, you wanted to decline his offer but against your better judgment you agreed. It was just one dinner, a catchup between friends, could you even call each other that though? No matter, numbers had been exchanged and you had to dash back to your office to carry on with your work. No sooner had you sat down at your desk, did Giorno text you the time and place to meet him.
The rest of your day flew by, although you wished it would have dragged, and before you knew it, it was time for you to go home and freshen up before meeting Giorno. Staring at your reflection in what must have been your fourth outfit change, you scolded yourself for over thinking everything. You hurriedly retouched your hair and makeup and left for the restaurant, knowing you were running a bit late. Walking up the stairs to reach the entrance brought back a rush of memories with each step you took. Recollections of fun dates, precious friends and balmy nights like this bombarded your senses, almost as if you were transported to that very time. You walked in and saw the place empty, except for a table near the balcony. Some things never changed you mused… although you couldn’t blame this on Giorno’s tendency to go over the top this time, booking out entire establishments was less about asserting his clout or showing off, but more about protecting himself from potential threats.
The clicking of your heels on the expensive tiles caught Giorno’s attention, and his senses feasted on the way you were illuminated by the muted lighting, the soft lilt of your voice as you greeted him with a smile and the pretty floral scent you wore- his favorite scent on you.
Giorno stood up to greet you, pulling out your chair for you with all the grace of a nobleman. You noticed he was a lot more relaxed, even abandoning his open chested suits for more casual attire, and wearing his hair completely unbound. He politely waited for you to adjust yourself in your seat before taking his own again. His manners were always impeccable, you thought, even when he fought with you, he was never disrespectful, choosing rather to rely on other means to get his point across.
“Thanks once again for joining me cara, I appreciate you sacrificing your time for me, I hope you don’t mind, I’ve already picked out the wine and appetizers for us. Forgive me but I’m starving,”
“It’s okay, I should be the one to apologize, I arrived late, I’m sorry,” you offer with a sheepish smile.
“It’s alright Bella, it’s a small price to pay for such lovely company,”
Giorno’s words caught you off guard, roping you in with the silken threads of his voice.
“Giorno, what’s going on? Out of nowhere we find ourselves here, in this romantic setting, behaving like a couple. Earlier on you said we’re meeting as friends, although I doubt you dole out such complements to Fugo and Mista,”
“I could, you don’t know that…”
You burst out laughing, perhaps a bit too loudly, at his remark, which earned a soft chuckle from him as well.
“I’m sorry, I guess the mafia has really changed you.”
“Well maybe, but also not that much. In quiet, private moments like these, I’ll always be Gio, your Gio. Well I’m lying there, I guess when I’m with you, I’m just Haruno. You’re the only one who knows me, the real me… I miss this, I miss us,” mumbled Giorno as he spoke in the middle of a kiss to the inside of your wrist.
Something about how sad his voice sounded combined with that chaste kiss, picked open a wound you didn’t even know you had, sending to the surface everything you buried deep within your soul, for fear of hurting this man whom you loved so deeply.
“You have no right to look that way, to so unashamedly say these things without thinking about what those words and actions do to me. For years all I’ve ever been doing is running after you, staring at your back, wondering if you’ll ever turn around and truly see me for who I am. When we were in school you just disappeared one day and returned as… this mafia boss. Still, I accepted everything and wanted to build your dream alongside you but again, you never allowed me to stand beside you, and I overlooked that, and so many other things to try and make you happy. And now, after a year, you waltz back into my life as if you were just on vacation. Don’t think I don’t know about the numerous escapades you’ve had, I’m not upset though, you’re a free man, and I’m the one who ended things after all… its just… I don’t even know what I’m doing here, this was a mistake, please excuse me” You stood up to leave when Giorno blocked your way, gripping your wrist tightly enough to restrain you, but not enough to hurt you.
“Please… I’d like for us to talk, there’s so much I need to say. I know I’m being selfish, but please, humor me one last time. If by the end of this evening you want me to leave and never cross your path again, I’ll abide by those wishes” implored Giorno.
Reluctantly, you retake your seat, noticing that even the staff had become invisible.
You looked at the man sitting opposite you , encouraging him to speak.
“Cara, I… I’ve done some questionable things. Many of which I’m not proud of at all. I’ve hurt people, I’ve tried to manipulate you into coming back to me, all of which backfired ending up in me hurting myself and the people around me. But you just kept thriving, I couldn’t stand it. I still can’t stand it. The ugly truth is that you don’t need me, but I need you… you’re my one constant. Make no mistake, amore, you don’t have to do anything to make me happy, you just do, and for that reason I didn’t want to involve you in anything that posed a danger to you. I know it’s not ideal , but I don’t know how else to be,”
Silence cloaked the room after Giorno spoke, you searched his face for the slightest hint that he could be lying, but found none. Unable to hold your gaze any longer, he looked away dejectedly. It’s been years since you’ve seen him expose so much of himself, and it hurt you to know he was still silently fighting his personal battles.
“Thank you Gio, that couldn’t have been easy to say, so I appreciate your candor. You know a large part of me will always love you,”
“but” he interjected, sadness dripping from his voice.
“but getting over you was the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do. I can’t do that again,”
Taking a lock of your hair in his hand, enjoying the intimacy of the act, he replies “what if you didn’t have to do that again? I’m determined to make this work. If you give us another chance, I’ll do things differently. You’ll come to realize that I’ve changed,”
You were scared of going down that path again, but, there was something different in his demeanor this time, something you felt you could trust, so you went with your gut instinct and wordlessly decided you’d give this one last chance, gently grasping the hand that Giorno held your hair with.
“We’ll take things slow bella, from the beginning, I want you to get to know me as I am right now,”
“I’d like that Gio,” you say with a kind smile.
The rest of the long evening was spent wining and dining and engaging in silly conversations about a multitude of things. When it came time for you both to go home, Giorno insisted on taking you home and making sure you were safely inside your apartment before heading home himself. You were hopeful for what the future might hold. That night you fell asleep with a smile after reading the sweet goodnight message from Giorno, thinking that finally the sun came out to shine on you again.
