Percy Jackson looks like the perfect white American child - milky skin, blond hair, blue eyes and cute, only slightly ecotic facial features.

Poseidon looked like the ideal American beauty of the 50s when he spent the summer with Sally Jackson, a beautiful Latin American.

Sally's skin is warm and caramel brown, her black, large curls fall to her waist.

A Percy was born as white as sea foam.

As Sally gives milk to her baby for the first time, the nurse sternly asks her if she is feeding a baby whose mother has no milk or if she is a surrogate mother. This is the first case and far from the last.

This is great, well done!

If we want to go closer to the book description of Percy, then maybe as he grows up, his hair becomes darker, and his eyes become more of a greenish blue aquamarine colour, like a vast expanse of sea in the daylight.

His pale white complexion stays the same, though, and Sally ends up having to deal with a lot of impolite questions about her child’s parentage. Percy also sometimes wished that he looked more like his mother to fit in with the other Hispanic kids his age when he was young.

My elderly mexican grandma is watching cyberpunk. She also started watching the FMA anime. I told her about FMAB if she wanted to watch that instead. She's so different from other grandmas lmao. The Percy Jackson serie casting looks good because it's full-blown racial and appearance blinded casting. It's fun to see golden-hair Percy, part-indian Grover and beautiful fierce black Annabeth. Sure, go ahead with multiracial Greek Gods. They all look good together.

But that little mermaid casts with everyone look like their animation counterpart, except THE TITULAR MERMAID. That's uncanny.

So I've seen the new casting for the Percy Jackson series and, not going to lie, a little dissapointed.

Don't get me wrong! I love Annabeth and Grover. The Actress is lovely, and I'm exited to see how she acts. I love her sm!!!

I just...I don't like the Percy. His appearance is wrong, and I get that everyone's is different! But at least with the black hair and green eyes, the tan, I could pretend he was hispanic. Like me. The only representation we got was Leo, and I like him but he doesn't even appear until the second series. Percy is from New York, near Puerto Rico. I'm not Puerto Rican, but it would have been amazing for all of them, and me! Getting to see one of us just...There isn't enough good representation. We dont need to focus on the fact that he's hispanic. Thats just how he is and we like him. I feel like they missed out. I just hope the actor's good.
