Hey so wanna hear something devastating.
The costumer just causally dropped that the ring around Izzy’s cravat is his mother’s.
“He’s very sentimental, like he carries his mother’s ring around his scarf.” (X)
I’m on my friends porch in tears rn. Are you kidding me. Ms. Taylor was talking about Izzy’s drag look and just dropped that fact as if that wouldn’t rewire my entire brain chemistry.

I love every "Death set Dream up with Hob on purpose" headcanon, and I love "actually I was planning to throw Chaucer at you but I can wing it pretty damn well and, once I heard Hob call me stupid, I knew, yeah that's going to be Dream's boyfriend". It takes a village (or an older sister) to get Dream a boyfriend.
Now, I'm picturing the entire Endless family blindsided when Dream comes to a family dinner like "I GOT MARRIED! LIKE TWO MINUTES AFTER THE LAST DINNER--"
"That was a literal century ago?!"
"-- YEAH. WE'RE DOING A VOW RENEWAL."
Not a single sibling clocked this. Not even Destiny.
Destiny, out loud: it was an unlikely path in my book, so I didn't give it much attention
Destiny, in his head: honestly I started speed-reading/skimming through Dream's love life paragraphs because watching him crash and burn and cause massive body counts just seemed so... repetitive and predictable?
Death: knowing our brother, I was carefully managing my expectations and was just glad he was still doing the century meetups last time I'd checked. Good for him, managing to stay with somebody for a century, that outstrips his last relationship by ... like 7 decades. Kind of offended I wasn't invited to this wedding, kind of not planning to say anything?
Desire: At this point, I stick my fingers in my ears and go "lalalalalala" whenever I hear anything about Dream and want, either him wanting or somebody wanting him, because Death said I had to stop making fun of him for how disproportionate his Yearn to Act Ratio was, and any ammunition I can't use is just ... irritating. I figured if anything really changed, my twin would tell me about his descent into misery.
Despair: He was less miserable, but I assumed it was a fluke and he'd return to his normal equilibrium eventually. And it's not like my twin let me know he'd managed to successfully want AND obtain something?
Destruction is Sir Not Appearing In This Picture.
And Delirium had more important things to think about than her brother's sad love life, like would flying fish fired out of confetti cannons be considered birds until they landed?
Meanwhile all denizens of the Dreaming are never not aware that Dream is happily married, because the weather has been perfect for years and the throne room stained glass is some variation of Hob and Dream being lovey-dovey.
Lucienne: If I see them necking in the stacks ever again I will be forced to take action, and Lord Morpheus is aware of that fact, but we haven’t had a library flood in 103 years, so overall we’re pleased.

my favorite headcanon: the only season in jack's whole entire career where he isn't 110% focused on getting to and winning the cup is the one leading up to their wedding. bitty and he did plan around the playoffs, and are getting married later in the summer, but still - for the first time ever, some part of jack thinks it won't be so bad if the falcs get eliminated and he has more time to participate in the wedding preparations with bitty.
so of course, that is exactly the season the falcs win the cup again. bitty can't decide if he's more proud/overjoyed or angry about it.

Can you do Erestor please? As Haleth and Caranthir child's please? 😊🎉
Annon, sweetie, bestie, no need to worry, Erestor has, and always will be, the child of Caranthir and Haleth in everyone's my mind, and if that mindset ever changes? Then it´s because Ragnarok breaks out... or Dagor Dagorath I guess...
The professor has hinted it therefore it´s cannon. Done. No more to discuss. HE IS ELRONDS COUSIN!!!

Vanitas has me in a chokehold. I am OBSSESSED!!!!!
What do you suppose Godwyn's relationship was with his father and mother? I am desperate for headcanons 🥺
It's so interesting because, after the revelation of Messmer potentially being the unwanted child, I wonder what it's like being the queen's favorite, Marika's most beloved child, the demigod everyone in the lands truly loved (aside from Miquella, of course), like holy shit.
Thank you! If you’ve read Vanitas, then I think you have them all lol. Almost all the headcanons I think are worth sharing tend to make it into my writing.
Since Vanitas includes flashbacks to Godwyn’s youth, his relationship with his parents varies as he ages. But most of the fic deals with Godwyn coming into his “prime”, or almost - though not as self-assured as he is in Narrow Porcelain Plinth of Flesh - so there’s a period of realisation/maturation he goes through based largely on 1) the recognition of one’s parents’ mortality/fragility (in the case of Godfrey) and 2) separation from and rejection of the ideals/values/notions imposed by parents (in the case of Marika) and being willing to, quite literally, disappoint a parent, and their idea of a legacy, to become fully oneself. Making peace with the dragons is the one big, consequential rebellion among all of Godwyn’s more meaningless little ones in the face of the future laid out for him.
But as a young god I headcanon him as a mama’s boy lmao.
(And in a similar vein to Miquella, I think - who in my writing/headcanon is very close to Godwyn - in the sense that Miquella is driven to do what pleases his father, take up his interests and his mantle, only to later find himself fundamentally let down by it all. I like to imagine the Greater Will’s influence having a sort of depersonalising effect on Marika/Radagon - stripping them of their more recognisably human qualities - and even in that utmost expression of godhood, both Godwyn and Miquella looked at their respective mother/father/god, and decided they didn’t want that to be their legacy.)
To your point about Messmer - I am inclined to try and piece things together with the DLC only while playing it, so I haven’t really speculated or given much thought to Messmer’s place in the whole thing - but I am excited to see how that adds another layer of complexity to the melodrama of this fucked up family •ᴗ•
Ty for the ask! Here’s a (WIP stage) panel from an age-old unfinished thing of Godwyn’s tomb effigy.
