Happy Holidays!!
#Mianite#I’d like to apologize for the tag essay you don’t gotta read all that idk what happened#you know its interesting how red has called jordan ‘skipper Sparklez’ implying that he places them on the same level#especially since both of them have messed with capsize’s ship. but jordan places himself on the same level as capsize#because theyre both captains (which stops being true since capsize demotes him to boatswain)#and capsize makes Tom a captain meaning she places him on the same level as herself (Tom is a captain because he owns a ship btw)#(which btw is why capsize was like ‘you’re leaving my crew?’ to Jordan when he got the ss jerry but technically since he says the ship is#‘for capsize’s fleet’ it belongs to her)#I think the issue with Jordan and Capsize is that he doesn’t actually like her as an individual but as an idea#that idea being ‘having a teammate’ because it’s just been him up until that point.#arguably jordan doesn’t really care about capsizes feelings on things examples of this are#her saying no to getting married but he like ignores that and continues on with the idea that they’re together/ going to get married.#him throwing gold at her and assuming that was all it took to get a date out of her instead of asking (like everyone’s given her gold he#ain’t special) and the ss jerry which was made to impressive her but it’s in a color he likes and also he named it#also him stepping over capsizes boundaries and kissing her#me personally I will not write them having a positive relationship because Jordan’s ruined it for himself truly#I think we as a society need to put more blame on Jordan when it comes to capsizes death by the way#like while he wasn’t the only one in the room BUT he was the only one capable#Tucker was stuck in a hole Tom was being a bitch in the background Red was paralyzed in fear#and when Capsize gets threatened you know what he says? ‘Skipper you gonna do something’ (something along those lines anyways I don’t fully#remember) like he let Furia fucking villain monologue are you serious???#also it’s way more interesting that they don’t get along#or maybe i just like issues idk#feel free to disagree ofc

Coffee for Mrs. Seresin?
Jake "Hangman" Seresin x Fem!Reader
Content warnings: Pining, fluff, and uh.... caffeine? Mild swears, Maybe some banter. I have no clue what qualifies as a warning anymore, I'm so sorry, y'all:') Also, sorry for the spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
A/n: Should I be doing math right now? Should I actually be sleeping right now? Yes and yes, BUT no one can blame me. I was reading an adorable Jake Seresin Fanfic by @roosterbruiser (everyone go read Millie's work, it's gold) and I got an idea and I had to write it somewhere so here:D
Tumblr media
You were pretty used to people assuming you and Jake were an item. When an attractive guy and an attractive girl have been friends since college and spend as much time together as you both do, you suppose it's a fair conclusion for people to draw, but an incorrect one, nonetheless. And you really wish people would stop asking because every time you had to explain to someone how you were "just friends," it ate you a little more inside.
The fact of the matter was this: you were in love with your best friend. And it sucked.
You stepped out of your car and strode along the stone walkway amidst the grass up to Rooster's door and rang the bell. It was a cute little townhouse with a blue exterior and you often poked fun at him for how much it resembled a little wooden birdhouse with its colorful walls and white wood-rimmed windows. You suppose it's fitting since Rooster lives there and yes, he hates that gag. It also serves as your group's prime hang-out spot, which is why you're here now.
The door opened to reveal Natasha, wrapped up in an oversized sweatshirt with her hair thrown up in a claw clip. "Yes, you brought chips!"
"Yeah, you didn't really specify which flavor so I just got them all." You said, walking in. "Guests should start coming in an hour, right?"
"Mmm-hmm." The 7 of you were throwing a casual party to celebrate Jake's promotion to Lieutenant-Commander. You saw Nat lift her eyes and smirk. "And there he is, the man of the hour." You turned around to see Jake at the end of the staircase.
"Well, hello, Mr. Man-of-the-hour," you teased, setting down the numerous bags of chips you were holding.
"Glad you're finally here, N/N. I was starting to think you were going to leave me here to fend for myself against Rooster's ABBA medley." Jake wrapped an arm around your shoulder and pulled you into his side. It was always like this. Him giving you butterflies you had to ignore because there was inevitably some other girl.
"Oh please, I would never leave you to fend for yourself against Rooster. I would join him and together, we'd overpower you and make you listen to ABBA forever." You grinned up at him and he narrowed his eyes, lips quirking up at the corners.
"Betrayal never comes from an enemy, I see," he shook his head at you. "I will leave you, lovely ladies, to yourselves. If you need me, I'll be in the kitchen." You watched Jake walk away and disappear around the corner. When you turned back, Natasha was still wearing that smug smile she always did when she saw you two. You knew it was coming.
"Nix, I'm telling you, if you say it, I'm salting your coffee." She knew you were messing with her but one of these days, you might just do it.
"All I'm saying is, shoot your shot! Come on, just once before you go settle for this rando."
"Mark is not a rando. We know him from accounting!"
"Exactly, Y/N, we know him from accounting. You don't even like the guy, heck you hardly know him."
"Exactly. That's why we're going to get to know each other at this party. I need to get over this crush, now. I can't keep pining for a guy who has no interest in me," you saw Natasha's mouth open as if to say something and you quickly jumped in, "And don't say he's interested. He's been with other girls multiple times and never once looked at me like that."
"True, I won't argue there. He's never looked at any of those girls the way he was just looking at you either." She took her hair out of her claw clip and it fell onto her shoulders in soft waves. "And ever since we all got back from that mission 3 months ago, he hasn't been with anyone. I really think he's got a thing for you but you're right. You should give this Mark guy a shot if you think he'd be good for you."
You smiled softly. You met Jake's friends when you were in San Diego a few years back. About a year ago, you were permanently stationed here and luckily for you, Jake was too. He settled here about 4 months before you. All his friends became your friends, and you've truly never known a better group of people. And they'd never known someone who could wrangle Hangman, so you were quite quickly welcomed to the group.
You and Pheonix tossed your sweatshirts upstairs and fixed up the last bits of your outfits just in time for guests to start arriving. You even managed to slip in a game of cards with Fanboy, Bob, and Payback before you joined a crowd in the living room. You barely felt the tap on your shoulder. If it wasn't followed by your name, you surely would have missed it. You turned on your heel to see Mark from accounting, facing you with a hand in his pocket.
"Mark, hi!"
"Hey. How are you?" His voice was almost monotone. His eyes roamed the room rather than meeting yours. He had just gotten here and he already sounded like he wanted to be somewhere else. You could have sworn he sounded more lively when you met.
"I'm good. I thought you weren't coming till later."
"I got off work early."
"Ah, well that's great." This guy really wasn't giving you much to work with. "Can I get you something to drink? There are drinks and food in the kitchen." That actually went somewhere. You headed to the kitchen where the conversation just barely picked up.
In the distance, Jake noticed your prolonged absence. As silly as it was, Jake liked knowing you were near him. You didn't have to be attached at the hip but he liked knowing he could saunter over to you and escape into your laugh when you came up in his mind. Which was a lot.
He scanned the room for you and stopped when he caught your frame in the kitchen...with some guy? Who the hell was that?
"Damn, if looks could kill...," Rooster muttered. "Do you not like that dude or something?"
"I don't even know who he is," Jake said through gritted teeth. "What's his name?"
"No clue. Pheonix?"
As if on cue, Natasha spoke up. "That, my friends, is Mark from accounting." Both the boys looked at her with questioning eyes.
"Okay, but who is he?" Something in Jake's voice was different now. Both of them looked at him.
"Careful there, Bagman, you almost sound jealous. He's some guy Y/N knows and I think she likes him." Phoenix was searching Jake's face for any sign that she was right about his feelings for you, and he never noticed because his eyes were trained on you like a hawk.
"I'm not jealous, Pheonix."
"You kinda sound jealous, Hangman," Rooster added, earning a glare from Jake.
"Okay, when we first met and you told me about her, you sounded so lovesick, I thought she was your wife. Cut to, you introduce us all and it turns out you're not married, or dating, but friends? I'm sorry, I do not believe that you two don't have feelings for each other." Natasha's remark sparked something in Jake. She watched the corners of his mouth twitch into a smirk so small, she almost missed it.
"I'll be right back." Jake stated, already pacing away. Rooster and Pheonix watched Jake make his way into the kitchen.
"She likes him too right?" Rooster asked.
"Oh, absolutely," Pheonix responded.
"You know, Fanboy has a betting pool on them."
"What? Get me on this, I have a feeling we'll make some money tonight."
Jake entered the kitchen to see you sitting alone at the table. "Got room for one more?"
"I don't see why not. Shouldn't you be mingling with everyone out there?"
"Well, the person I want to mingle with is in here." You smiled at him. There it was again, that smile that always left him utterly defenseless. "Who's the guy?"
You don't know why you felt your cheeks heat up when Jake asked about him. "His name's Mark. I met him when I was sorting reports last week."
"Okay. So, why do you sound so upset?"
"Because he said he was going to get us drinks 5 minutes ago and I just saw him leave with Commander Reeves' daughter." Honestly, you weren't upset because he left. You were upset because you were glad he did. He was boring you out of your mind and you two absolutely did not click, but it was still disheartening to know that this is what it was going to be like. No guy was going to measure up to the one you wished you were with. The one who was at this table with you now.
Jake was seething. What kind of idiot comes to a party and leaves you for some other girl? "You wanna get out of here?"
"What?"
"Let's leave. I'm bored."
"It's your party, you dork, you can't just leave!" You were giggling at a feeling somewhere in between confusion and disbelief.
"Yeah, it is my party so I say, you and I get out of here." He took you by the hand and walked you out through the back door to his car. And you let him. The chilly air swept you both up.
The drive was pretty calm. You didn't know where Jake was going but you didn't care either. This reminded you of when you two were younger. The long quiet rides in the car with no one but each other for company. He'd put on some cheesy 80's power ballad and you'd both laugh at it until you'd give in and belt it out at the top of your lungs.
"If you don't mind my asking, what did you see in him?"
"I don't really even remember. I think I just wanted to try and get myself out there. I haven't been on a date in literally years."
Jake hesitated before he asked. "So... what made you want to start now?" You felt the words catch in your throat.
"I'm not sure." you lied. You. I'm in love with you and I can't take it.
You felt the car slow down. You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even see where Jake parked. A cute little coffee shop and patisserie. Jake got out of his car and rounded the front to open the door for you. He already had you head over heels for him and he didn't even know it. Did he have to be such a gentleman? You weren't sure that you could fall even harder for this man but you really didn't want to find out.
"Why don't you get us a table and I'll get us something to drink. Don't worry, I remember what you like." You nodded and found a two-seat table by the french windows overlooking the city. On the left, in the distance, the last light of sunset was hitting the water and the top of the sky had started to go dark. Little stars twinkled above you. You wondered what it would be like to always be like this? Evenings with you and Jake, running off alone together from places and people you didn't really want to see. Taking comfort in each other's presence because it felt like home. Just then, Jake sat down in front of you. It almost hurt knowing he was right in front of you and you couldn't have him.
"Screw stupid Mark from accounting. He was not worth your time."
"Thanks. It's fine really, I'll find someone else. Someone less boring." When you met Jake's eyes, he looked as if he had something to say. Something he was holding back. "What is it?"
"Don't find someone else."
Did he just- Did you hear him right?
"What? Why?"
"Because-"
"I have a coffee and a latte for Mr. and Mrs. Seresin?" The barista called. You actually felt your heart skip a beat. Your eyebrows scrunched together and you looked to Jake for answers.
"Well, I think that's us." He blurted like it answered all your questions, a smile heard in his voice.
"Mr. and Mrs. Seresin?" You queried, rising out of your seat in tandem with him. "Why'd you tell her we were 'Mr. and Mrs. Seresin?!'"
"Because you looked so down and I thought I'd get a reaction from you! And it's not all my fault, Pheonix gave me the idea." Jake stated, matter-of-factly. How could he say that so casually?! "And you're still looking red so I guess it worked."
You both grabbed your coffees and sat down once again. It was dark out now. Once your laughs and giggles over your reaction were out, you remembered where your last conversation left off.
"Jake, why'd you tell me not to find someone?" You didn't force the question too hard into the conversation. You asked softly, not knowing how or if he would answer. He sighed before he spoke like he was preparing himself.
"Because...because I can't ask you out if you're dating someone else." The emotions hit you like a bombshell.
"You want to ask me out?" You weren't sure this was real. You were really about to pinch yourself before he stopped you in your tracks.
"I've been meaning to for months. Y/N, we've been friends forever, and I didn't want to ruin what we have. I know I should have told you before because I've liked you for as long as- Why are you smiling?"
"Because, you big dummy, I like you too." You couldn't hold it back. You were beaming. You felt butterflies and fireworks all at once just because the man of your dreams just made it all a reality. Jake held your eyes in his and smiled ear-to-ear. You swore you saw his ears go red but if you asked him, you doubt he’d admit it. "I'm really happy right now but I have no clue what to do next."
"I've got it from here," Jake reaches out and takes your hand in both of his. It feels like electricity is coursing through your veins. "Y/N L/N, would you do me the honor of going on a date with me?"
It took everything in you not to squeal in this coffee shop. "Yes, I will do you that honor, Bagman." You responded. He chuckled at you.
"Every now and again, I feel like introducing you to Pheonix was a mistake."
"Speaking of which, I really want to tell her about this but she'll get all smug because she was right."
"You're right. As far as people we don't have to tell yet go, Fanboy and Rooster have been betting on us. We can just keep it from them for now too."
"Deal." A laugh bubbled out of you as you thought about how the squad would react. And then a knock sounded directly next to you on the french window.
"Aww, cute," Rooster noted, his voice muffled by the glass, but still clear enough for you to hear his teasing tone.
"Left your own party so soon?" There stood Pheonix. Along with the rest of the squad leaning against Bradley's bronco.
"Shit." you commented.
"So much for keeping it secret."

AUTHOR'S NOTE: So I ended up turning this into a few parts. There are a few points I want to touch and I don't think it would've been a good idea to do one whole part. If you wish to be added to the tag list for this please let me know down in the comments. The sumary will most likely stay the same I'm not sure yet.

Tumblr media
It felt like forever. The torture you faced under your bother’s ruleing. It wasn’t protection as he liked to call it. It was a prison, Tamlin had taken over after your father had been killed. You hadn’t been able to shed a tear when it happened, you always assumed that you weren’t meant to be in the Spring Court. When Feyre arrived as a human, you knew she was your chance for an escape.
So when she took the opportune moment to leave, you followed right behind her. Currently you didn’t understand how you had found yourself in this situation. You, Feyre, and Lucien had been on the run from the Spring Court. Little cuts littered your chest, arms, neck, and face. It was so cold, you didn’t know if you could hold on any longer. One of Lucien’s brothers was on top of you, holding you against the ice.
He lifts your head up and slams it down into the ice hard. Stars are dancing around your eyes, as you struggle to keep the blade from going into your throat. Your hand was on the blade, blood dripping onto your neck. A whimper escaped your lips as he stared down at you with a malevolent smile.
“You make such pretty sounds, I wonder what else I could get out of you.” He whispered, his tongue licking up the side of your chin all the way to your pointed ear.
You tried to push the male of you but it was no use. He was far stronger than you, and right now you were too weak. You couldn’t access your power considering you were drained. There were plants all around you even in the Winter Court but that was the last thing on your mind. It also didn’t help that you had never learned to fight. Tamlin had thought it was best you learn how to be a housemaid, how to be a mother, how to take care of your future husband.
Whatever the case may be you learned everything except how to fight and how to use your powers in a situation like this, it was biting you in the ass. Where Tamlin could shape-shift, you could manipulate the plants around you. But your brother didn’t know that, you knew better than to tell him your secret. Just before he could do further damage to you another male flew into him knocking him to the ice.
You turned to your side, a wince leaving your lips as you watched that same male throw a punch into his face. He continued to do so, he hadn’t been able to stop until someone had pulled him off Lucien’s brother. He wasn’t dead, you knew that he was knocked out cold. Your breath was shallow, as the male turned towards you red siphons glistening in the darkness of the night. He was leaning over you, hazel eyes searching you.
He gently picked you up, resting your head to his chest while he cradled the rest of your body. You stared up at him, when he looked back down at you, it snapped. Just before you closed your eyes you felt the gold thread tied around your heart. The mating bond had snapped, you were tied to the male that had just saved you. Now that you were safe you could close your eyes and that’s exactly what you did.
Rhysand stood next to his brother as Madja worked on you. Cassian had his arms crossed over his chest, he was leaning against the door. The male was trying his hardest not to hover over Madja while she worked on his mate. But it was excruciating not to be next to you to hold your hand while she healed you.
“Are you positive?” Rhysand asked again, finally looking over at his brother. Feyre was at the end of the hallway, with Azriel as well. Lucien was also there but Cassian didn’t care much for him, his brother was responsible for the injuries to his mate. He wanted to kill him so they were standing guard in front of Lucien.
“Yes. The Princess of the Spring Court is my mate. I know she felt it too.” Cassian explained again, saying the same thing he’d consistently said when they had arrived back home. Cassian paused, staring briefly at his brother. “Do you really think she has powers?”
“Feyre believed it, and I know what I saw when we were under the mountain. Tamlin didn’t see it but Amarantha did. She protected herself in a cocoon of vines. Whatever she can do, she’s more powerful than she believes herself to be.”
Cassian had heard mentions of the story about how you’d protected yourself to avoid the affliction of pain at the wrath of Amarantha. She loved your older brother, but she hated you. So she’d made your torture just as cruel and wicked as Feyre had gone through. She even locked you up with Feyre, keeping you distanced from the only family you’d ever known. Tamlin. Lucien.
Rhys had told Cass that he had done everything in his power to keep you safe. But when that happened, everything changed. He knew eventually you’d be in his court. Tamlin would destroy you, and it looks like he’d already done just that. Finally Rhys looked back at Cassian again.
“We need to keep her safe.”
“She’s my mate, I won’t let her go back to that bastard of a brother. She’s safe here.” Cassian stated calmly. He caught Rhys looking down the hall to Feyre who gave a nod.
“Then you both need to accept the bond officially, Tamlin will demand her back. And if it isn’t accepted we have no choice but to hand her back over.”
“I’ll discuss it with her when she’s awake. Until then I can’t do much.”
Rhys gave a nod of his head as Madja walked up to them. “She is healed, though she might be out for a few days. Everything was drained, powers included. She needs time to rest.” Madja explained.
“Thank you.” Cassian said, stepping past the healer and walking into the room. He grabbed a chair and set it next to your bed. Then he reached for your hand, holding it in his. Cassian would wait days for you to wake up, as long as you came back to him.
You held onto that thread when you thought you might die. Slowly you blinked open your eyes, a groan escaped your lips. You looked around the room noticing that you weren’t in the Spring Court. Then the memories of what had happened came flashing back into your mind. Panic started to rush through your body, however a hand gave you a comforting squeeze. You turned your head to see the male that had saved you holding onto it.
Just like you remembered he had red siphons on his body. Seven of them to be exact. His black hair was shoulder length, some of it was tied back in a small bun. He looked sexy with his hair that way. A smirk covered his lips, he must have seen what you were thinking was plastered on your face. His golden-brown skin made him look just as handsome. You could see some tattoos peaking through his shirt.
It was a gray shirt and was fitted perfectly to his upper body. You wondered what everything looked like underneath his clothes. Your mind started to drift, thinking of what he’d feel like against you, naked. His pulling of the chair brought you out of your thoughts, you decided to pull yourself up slightly so you could lean against the headboard. You felt the golden string that connected you to him. It was such a pain to not be closer to him. You needed him closer.
“Can you hold me?” Your voice was soft as you asked the question. He stared at you, the confusion was there only for a moment before it switched to understanding. You watched as the male stood from the chair, removed his boats and climbed into your bed. He leaned you forward gently, sitting behind you.
When he settled down into the bed, he pulled you towards his chest. You had noticed that somewhere in between him joining you on the bed he'd taken off his shirt so you could feel his warmth. You rested your head back on his chest, and closed your eyes feeling the bond shine brightly at the touch.
“I’m Cassian.” He whispered in your ear after a few moments of silence.
“Y/N.” You paused, pulling his large hand into yours and entangling your fingers together. You didn’t understand how you’d gotten so lucky to be blessed with a mate provided by the Mother. “So you really are my mate?”
You questioned finally. Maybe this was all a dream, and you’d wake back up in the Spring Court. You didn’t want that though, you’d known you had finally gotten away from your brother's temper and you couldn’t go back to it. Things had gotten worse for you when you’d all returned from under the mountain.
“I am.” Cassian’s words were so comforting as he said them.
“I didn’t think I’d ever get a mate. I… Tam said I’d never experience this. That I’d be marrying off to someone who would never be my mate.” You felt your mate tighten his grip around your waist, his jealousy was evident but you didn’t mind it. Oddly enough it felt comforting, you’d been missing something like that for a long time.
Cassian clenched his jaw at the mere mention of what your brother had in store for you when the time was right. He nudged his nose into your hair. “I can assure you mate, that’ll never happen. I will not allow your brother to take you away from me.”
“But Tam, he’ll try to get me back. I am the princess of the Spring Court after all. He’ll try to call a meeting, to call for a battle against this court.” The worry was evident in your voice as you spoke the words that Rhys had mentioned a few days ago.
“If we accept the mating bond, your brother can not do anything about it. We can accept it then see a Priestess.”
You wanted to reject the idea of accepting the bond so quickly, but you knew that was a lie. Cassian was your mate, and you were his. This had to be done, and it had to happen now. A war loomed over your heads because of your brother. He’d chosen the wrong side and you wouldn’t stand by anymore. Not with what you could do.
“Let’s do it.” You spoke finally. “I need a day, and we need somewhere where it can be just the two of us. When we come back we’ll see a Priestess.”
“I have a place in mind for privacy.” Cassian said, a smirk on his lips. “I can give you a day as well. But after that you’re mine forever, princess.” You only gave a nod and closed your eyes leaning further into Cassian’s chest. It wasn’t until you were finally asleep, breathing evenly that Cassian called to Rhys in his mind.
“How is she?” It was the first question he had asked when the conversation started.
“She’s fine.” Cassian paused, he glanced down at his mate. “She wants to accept the bond.”
“Good. That’s excellent news brother. I think we could all use that right now.”
“We’re gonna head to the cabin for a few days, then we’ll see a Priestess when we come back.”
“Sounds like a plan. When you both come back we’ll discuss what to do in case Tamlin does try to do something. I want to help her learn her powers if she’ll let me.”
“I think she’d be more than willing to learn. I think it would be great to start training with her as well even if we don’t get far into it.”
“Good idea, brother. Both of you get some rest. I’ll let Feyre know she’s doing better.”
With those words Cassian felt his High Lord leave his mind. When Cassian looked back down at you he noticed that you were asleep. The fae lights in the room dimmed down allowing only the moonlight into the room. Cassian held onto you tightly as you slept on top of his form. This wasn’t the best of circumstances, how he found you. But he was so glad that he’d found you when you needed him most.

𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘺: a much-needed night out turns into a confrontation with august.
𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴: 18+, a lot of angst
𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵: 2k+
✧˚ ༘ ⋆。♡˚
“Slow down!”
In your backless gold dress, you were dragged by the hand into the most popular nightclub in the city by your best friend Willow. The place was jam-packed, people squeezing into every possible space as the lights flashed, everyone grinding against one another.
When August hadn't gotten back to you since the morning after Thanksgiving, you initially assumed he was simply busy running his company like usual. However, after a month had passed, you were mistaken—it was clear that he had no regard for you.
So to get your mind off of him, you agreed to go out with Willow instead of staying at home with your thoughts.
“Shots!” your friend shouted over the blaring music. After licking the salt off the glass's rim, you quickly drank the tequila and chased it with a lime. A burn in your throat followed. Before you knew it, the bartender had poured you numerous rounds of shots, and you were texting an inebriated text message to August.
"I'm over you; don't expect to go see or hear frlm me abain bue augyst.”
A drunken smile took over your face as you pressed send and turned off your phone. The music around you intensified as you made your way to the dance floor with Willow. She took hold of your hips, and the two of you began to rub and sway against one another in tune with the music.
Everything around you blended into a blissful, intoxicated blur.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
August realized after Thanksgiving that perhaps being with you wasn't the best choice. He was having an affair with his closest friend's daughter. He might not have seen you grow up, but he's been told stories of you from your father over the years, which makes it safe to say that he never imagined the two of you would start dating secretly. However, you were his favorite forbidden fruit from the moment he saw you.
When he saw you again, he was unable to control himself. Though he was aware that it was foolish, he didn't give a damn. He assured himself that he only needed to be with you once, but after tasting you, he realized he was in trouble and needed more.
The way your eyes looked at him was always so needy, innocent, and full of life.
In addition, he knew that he wouldn't be able to control himself if he saw you again and you gazed at him with those stunning doe eyes; you would have him totally wrapped around your finger.
When his phone buzzed in his coat pocket and your name flashed, immense guilt filled him. Though the last thing he wanted was to hurt you, he realized he should have gotten in touch with you and had a mature conversation instead of ignoring you.
August stopped walking as he read your text. His face took on an angry, worried expression as his eyebrows furrowed. Saying you were over him in a drunken text message to him? That was not something he was willing to accept.
All he got when he tried to call you was your voicemail. August texted you multiple times after you didn't return his calls, and each message failed to send. As he glanced at your often updated Twitter account—which you hadn't posted on—his jaw hardened.
However, he saw that your friend Willow had tagged you in some of her pictures. August enlarged the background of one of the pictures to reveal the name of the club you were at. He jumped in his car and drove quickly to the club without thinking.
Adrenaline ran through him as he entered and pushed through the bodies in the club. His eyes searched in all directions, looking for you. August called you again, but he was still only able to reach your voicemail. He muttered to himself, "Fuck's sake, where are you?"
This was the last place he wanted to be, and it was evident from the disdain on his face. However, he was unable to shake the image of you. Even if he had to throw you over his shoulder, he would not leave this club without you.
It seemed like hours until he finally saw you dancing near bystanders. Though he didn't know the man behind you, he did identify your friend Willow, who was dancing next to you. The man's hands were on your hips, and his body was pressing against your back. What irritated August even more? As the stranger spoke in your ear, you grinned and laughed.
August cursed his way among the clusters of people surrounding him until he was directly in front of you.
Shock was the first feeling that went through you when you saw August in front of you, but that quickly transformed into you clumsily approaching him. "What are you doing here?" You spoke incoherently to him.
"What are you doing here? is the question that needs to be answered, not what am I doing here? And why did you turn off your phone?” August was enraged. His jaw was tightening, and his nostrils were flaring.
Pressing your finger into his firm chest, you gave him a shrug and said, "Because I didn't want to speak to you."
He hauled you to the closest restroom by the arm.
"It doesn't matter if you choose not to talk to me." He advanced on you with a stalk. "You're endangering yourself by acting like a drunken idiot. Rubbing your ass like a slut on a stranger," steam was nearly emanating from his body, and his chest was heaving.
You could feel the tears welling up at the way he spoke to you.
"Slut? A drunken idiot? That's how you actually see me?" you asked.
Venom dripped from his response as his eyes poured into yours. "Yes."
"Screw you! You're not allowed to call me a slut. I am free to do as I choose; you have made it very apparent that I am not yours. I don't need to justify myself to you. There is absolutely nothing you could do to stop me from going back out there, taking that guy home, and fucking him." The buzz you had was long gone.
August could see by the expression in your eyes that you were serious. Though he knew immediately after speaking the words that he shouldn't have spoken them, his anger prevented him from stopping.
He inhaled deeply.
One moment you were standing on your feet arguing with August, then suddenly he flung you over his shoulder and stormed out of the bathroom. “Put me down!” you yelled over the blaring music.
Giving you a slap on your ass, he replied, “Be quiet before I have to teach you a lesson.”
After that, you stayed silent, both you and August.
All you got out of August after leaving the club and returning to his house was silence. Which, you thought, was absurd given what he had said to you; he needed to be saying sorry.
He got out of his car to open the door on your side as soon as it pulled into his driveway. "Let's head inside; come on." With your arms folded, you sat there motionless, gazing out of his front windshield. "No." His gaze was burning holes in you, and you could feel it.
Once more, August hoisted you over his shoulder while yelling, "Dammit!" After entering his home, he went to his room, sat you on his bed, and knelt down. August gripped your left foot. "What are you doing?" you asked him, casting him a strange glance. His gaze locked with yours. "Helping you get comfortable so you can sleep off your buzz." Despite the rolling of your eyes, he could tell you were grateful when you glanced at him.
"If you were going to be disrespectful, you didn't have to show up tonight," you added. He gave a head nod, then carried on. "Go to sleep, and we'll talk in the morning," before helping you into his bed and heading out to sleep in the guest bedroom for the evening.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Slowly opening your eyes, you saw rays of sunshine peeking in through the window, yawning and rubbing your eyes as the creaky door opened. Rolling over, you saw an exhausted August enter with some medicine and drink. "Take this ibuprofen for your headache, and wash it down with a bit of this water."
Without even looking at him, you swallowed the pills and then the water.
"Last night, words just can't—" You raised your finger. "I'm going to cut you off there. You referred to me as a drunken idiot and a slut. I never would have imagined you saying that to me, of all people." An expression of regret filled his face.
“I was scared for you; you weren’t answering my texts or my calls. And then I see you dancing with some guy? It made me angry, and while I was worried about you, it seemed you didn’t care at all.” August was trying his best not to raise his voice.
"So, even though you were afraid and concerned for me, you became jealous and decided it was alright to label me a slut? A normal person wouldn't do what you did; instead, they would be relieved that the person they care about is okay. You know what, too? If you hadn't ignored me for the previous month, I wouldn't have gone out and danced with a guy last night."
“I know. I thought-” August paused for a second, painfully staring at you, then carried on. "I didn't think it would be smart for us to keep seeing each other. I have known your father for a long time; we have developed a business together, and in certain aspects, I even think of him as family. I don't want to betray his trust. I also didn't want to lose you or cause you any harm. I couldn't." You just listened to him without saying anything. "Jesus, when he discovers that I'm in love with his daughter, he's going to kick my ass.”
You put your hands over your eyes and then turned to face him again. "August, you can't just say things like that. Not after what happened last night; that's not fair to me. Prior to last night, everything was great and perfect while we were together, but I would never want to go through what I did last night again. So, we should end this now if that's how you plan to respond when I decide to go out. Another advantage is that you won't have to decide between my father and myself."
"You want us to stop seeing each other?" August asked, shaking his head. "Everyone makes mistakes. Nobody is perfect. I feel bad for last night. I regret the way I spoke to you. But what if something did happen to you? Mmm? If I let you stay there and something terrible happened, I would never be able to forgive myself."
You glanced down at the glass you were holding instead of looking at him. "At least for the time being, I believe it's best if we see other people."
With a puff of laughter, he went on. "No, that is not something that is going to happen; you can forget about that." Before getting up and heading to his closet, August took the glass from your hands and set it on the bedside table. With a pair of boxers and a white t-shirt, August came back. "Go take a shower; my bathroom has everything you need. After that, come to the kitchen. I'll be waiting for you with breakfast ready."
Startled by his answer and his behavior, you blinked incessantly. He was beginning to give you whiplash. However, you ultimately knew what you were going to do. After you got up, showered, got dressed in his clothes, and brushed your teeth, you went downstairs to have breakfast with him.
"Tomorrow, 8 p.m., I'm taking you out for dinner," August said, setting a plate of pancakes with a whipped smiley face in front of you. “And if I say no?” August smirked while pouring you some orange juice. “Funny joke, now eat.”

I know it says 10Rose up there, but this series starts with 9Rose, because 9 is also special blorbo in my heart hfjdks Christopher Eccleston didn't have to put his whole chest into the role but he did and I love that for him
Anyway, have fun with this one! We're getting time travel shenanigans coming up (and angst, def some angst, but it'll end sweet I promise), and a little meme at the end
As always, if you see any typos, no you didn't :)
Satellite Five 200,000
Running into the woman was an accident created by the chaos of something changing on Satellite Five. Steve doesn't know what that is, exactly, but he can feel it in the air, in the way the humans around him have started rushing, in how the food stands have suddenly ground to a halt. And he comes to a halt with them, his hearts speeding up in his chest as the frenzy reminds him of another time, another planet, another chaotic scene that ended with him being launched across time and space while his home died.
When he finally gathers his wits enough to move, he turns right into a woman's leg, bumping his nose hard against her and falling to the ground with a startled cry. He holds his nose, the bridge smarting and causing his eyes to water as he looks up at a pretty young blonde woman who immediately crouches in front of him.
"Sorry about that. You all right?" she asks, her hands hovering in the air like she wants to check him for injuries but doesn't want to make him uncomfortable.
The funny thing is, Steve has seen this woman before. He saw her earlier in the day, getting into the elevator with a journalist and a man, and he assumed he'd never see her again. Nobody who got in the elevator came back. He's so overwhelmed by the shock of seeing her again that he almost misses the familiar aura around her, the lingering traces of golden space dust and passing time.
Almost.
He stares at her with wide eyes, his tears actually falling now, and then throws himself into her arms. "What took so long?!" he cries, clinging to her shirt like he'll be thrown across time and space one more time if he lets go.
"Woah, hey now, no need for crying," she says, utterly confused but gently smoothing down his hair anyway. "What's wrong?"
After taking a few moments to calm down, Steve starts to answer when he realizes something. The woman only has one heart. He can only hear one set of beats in her chest. He jerks away, his hands trembling as he stares at her. She's still covered in that familiar aura, practically swimming in it, but she's not like him.
It hurts. Steve can feel the bitter cold of disappointment replacing the hope that had started to grow between his hearts. He thought...he thought he'd get to be with someone like him again. Maybe not his original family---they're dead, long gone, and Steve is never getting them back---but a new one that wouldn't let him feel quite so alone anymore.
Maybe she was just injured. That would explain it well enough.
"Where....where's your second heart?" he asks, his voice small as he grips the hem of his shirt to steady himself. "Y-you...why do you--"
Before Steve can get the rest of the question, a man in a leather jacket, looking slightly annoyed as he checks his pockets, appears next to the woman. "Right then. C'mon, Rose, we got dead weight to drop off," he says, his tone hard.
The woman, Rose, looks up at him. "Hold on a minute, Doctor," she says, "we've got to help him find his parents first."
Steve opens his mouth, wanting to say that won't be possible, as he looks up at the man. Their eyes meet, and the words get stuck in his throat. If Rose carried lingering space dust and passing time, this man is made of it. Steve can see the gold around him, swirling and calling, singing in a way he'd forgotten about. Even the name is familiar---not that Steve knows this particular Time Lord, of course, but he knows the conventions and traditions.
"I'm afraid that'll be impossible, Rose," the Doctor says, his voice softer and full of disbelief as he crouches next to her on the ground.
"What? How do you know?"
The Doctor doesn't answer her. He just holds a hand out to Steve, waiting patiently. When Steve takes it, the world finally rights itself. He can feel the blood pumping through the Doctor's veins, fast and powerful in a way only two hearts can manage. He can practically taste time and space coating his tongue as he steps closer. When Steve places his hand on the left side of the man's chest, feeling the beating of one heart before sliding his hand over to feel the other, he cries even harder than before.
And the Doctor cries, too.
It's not a loud crying, but he pulls Steve into his arms and holds him with the same desperation and fear that he'll disappear if he loosens his grip that Steve felt when he hugged Rose. "I thought...I thought I was the only one left," the Doctor says, moving his hand to cradle the back of Steve's head.
"Doctor, what's going on here?" Rose asks.
Steve peeks out at her, and then he's lifted into the air, still held in the Doctor's arms. His jacket smells like the past and future, a soothing scent that gets Steve to relax like he hasn't in a long time. "Long story short," the Doctor says, his voice still rough from crying but recovering, "you somehow bumped into the only Time Lord child in existence." A few moments pass before he speaks again, the smile and awe clear in his voice as he says, "You're just fantastic, Rose. Fantastic."
Despite his best efforts, Steve can't keep his eyes open long enough to see how she reacts or what the Doctor does next. The exhaustion of fending for himself and pushing away the despair of losing everything sweeps over him. This could all be a dream, and the Doctor might be a figment of his imagination that disappears when he wakes up, but Steve lets himself dream for now.
--------
Hawkins, Indiana, 1971
"Okay, Steve, go ahead."
Steve glances up at his father, shifts his gaze to his mother, and then approaches the console. He reaches up and starts turning a dial, ignoring his mother's excited noise and his father's interested hum. Once he's turned it enough, he walks around the console and pulls a lever, flips a switch, and yanks another dial two notches to the right. Then, when he's sure his parents can't hear him, he leans in close and whispers, "Take me wherever you'd like me to be, TARDIS."
He feels something warm and happy surge under his fingers where he's holding the console. Not a second later, the familiar whooshing sound of the TARDIS fills the room, and Steve hang on for dear life as his father shouts, "Fantastic! Where do you think we'll land, Rose?"
"Somewhere child-friendly, hopefully," his mother replies, grabbing his father's arm and holding on for dear life.
Steve grins, his hearts beating fast and hard behind his ribs as the TARDIS slowly comes to a stop, its engine quieting to a gentle whirring as it parks. "Go on then," his father says, appearing behind Steve and nudging him to the doors. "See where you've brought us."
With his breath stuck in his throat, Steve slowly pulls the left door open. Sunlight streams into the TARDIS along with the delighted shrieks of other children and a warm wind that can only mean summer. Steve blinks, staring at the playground a few feet away.
"Oh," his father says, his tone duller than before, "seems boring."
This statement is followed by both the TARDIS making an offended noise and Steve's mother smacking his father in the chest. "Don't be rude! Boring is safe, which is good for Steve's first drive."
"Can...can I go play?" Steve asks, his voice soft as he feels a sudden longing sweeping through him. He hasn't played with people his age after leaving Gallifrey. In fact, he hasn't been around them. On Satellite Five, Steve didn't see other children. They were cared for on a different floor, and he never risked getting into the elevator.
Since leaving Satellite Five (since finding another Time Lord and basking in the TARDIS and crying together when Steve accidentally called the Doctor "Dad" and Rose "Mom"), Steve has been surrounded by Daleks and nanogenes and older humans and every alien under the sun, but he's never been around children.
The thought is exhilarating and terrifying and alluring all at once.
"Of course, Steve," his mother says, placing her hand on his head and brushing a few stray hairs from his face. "You go play, and we'll call you back in a few hours for some ice cream, yeah?"
Steve grins and nods eagerly, throwing a quick goodbye to his parents before running out of the TARDIS. He dashes across the street, coming to the edge of the playground before stopping. The grass turns into tiny rocks and pebbles beneath slides and swings and monkey bars and a merry-go-round. And kids. More kids than Steve really knows what to do with, which gives him an unfamiliar feeling of anxiety that makes him wipe his palms on his shirt.
"Hey, why are you just standing there?"
The question is asked by another boy Steve's age. His hair is a little frizzy and curls around his ears, and he's got band-aids covering his arms and stretching across the bridge of his nose. He's standing to Steve's left, holding a red rubber ball and ignoring the other kids around them.
"I've...never been here before," Steve says, meaning that he's never been in this situation.
The boy doesn't understand that, though. But when he says, "Oh, so you're new around here," Steve doesn't disagree. "Well, nice to meetcha. I'm Eddie."
He shifts to hold the ball against his chest with one arm and holds out his other hand. Taking it and shaking once, Steve introduces himself and asks, "Can we be friends?"
Eddie's eyes brighten, and he nods. "Yeah! Let's be bestest friends. Can I call you Stevie? Mom says you can give nicknames to friends."
"Sure! So, uh, what do we do now?"
Eddie pauses, looking at the playground with a slight frown. "We could play games," he says slowly.
"Oh! How about Weeping Angel?"
"What's that?"
Steve thinks for a moment. "Weeping Angels are these statues that move when you don't look at them. In the game, someone will face away, and the other person will start sneaking up on them. If the first person turns, the second has to freeze in place. If the first person sees them move, they lose. If the second person reaches the first and touches them, they win."
"It sounds like Rad Light, Green Light," Eddie says, tilting his head slightly. "But, sure! Let's play it."
Steve smiles brightly and follows Eddie to a clear patch of playground. "I'll be the Angel in this round," he offers, waiting for Eddie to agree before walking a few feet away. "Let me know when you're ready!"
Eddie turns around, still holding the rubber ball, and glances over his shoulder. He stares at Steve for a few seconds before looking away and saying, "Ready!"
As lightly as he can, Steve takes a few steps forward, doing his best to make no sounds like the Weeping Angels he's seen before. When he notices Eddie moving, he freezes, quickly placing his hands over his eyes but leaving enough room to peek between his fingers.
When Eddie turns, he's frozen in a classic Weeping Angel pose. Eddie studies him for a few seconds, eyes narrowed before slowly turning around again. Steve exhales softly, and the game continues.
Steve wins exactly three times, Eddie wins twice, and there's one round in which they both dissolve into laughter because of the position Steve freezes in, so they don't count it. When Eddie gets bored of playing, he introduces Steve to foursquare, which is why he has the rubber ball. When he gets bored of that he drags Steve around the playground, introducing him to each piece of equipment with pride.
By the time the sun has started to dip low on the horizon, Steve is sweaty and dirty and happier than he's ever felt as he hides under the slide with Eddie. They're pressed close together, sharing a popsicle Eddie's mother had given them, purple juice making their hands sticky.
"You're really cool, Stevie," Eddie suddenly says, his lips and tongue purple as he offers the last bit of popsicle to Steve.
After taking it and letting the cold ice melt on his tongue, Steve asks, "Hey, do bestest friends keep secrets that only they know?"
"Of course! Nothing is stronger than a bestest friend secret."
"But you gotta promise not to tell anyone. Not even your mom."
Eddie seems to realize this is serious now, and he straightens up a bit. "I won't," he promises, "cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye."
That seems a bit extreme to Steve, but what does he know of human customs? He leans in close, his mouth almost pressing against Eddie's ear, and whispers, "I'm an alien."
He pulls away in time to see Eddie's disbelieving look. "What? You look human. No way you're an alien."
"I am!" Steve says. "How many hearts have you got?"
"One. Duh."
"I've got two."
Eddie snorts. "Yeah. Right. Nobody has two hearts."
"Here, you can feel them," Steve says before grabbing Eddie's hand and placing it over the left side of his chest. He waits a few seconds, making sure Eddie can feel that heart, before sliding his hand to the right side. He watches Eddie's face turn bright red, and Steve figures it's from excitement or shock at realizing Steve is, in fact, an alien.
Before Eddie can say anything, Steve hears his mother calling, "Steve! It's time to go!"
He pouts, letting go of Eddie's hand. "Aw, man," he mumbles, crawling out from beneath the slide. Eddie scrambles after him, his cheeks still flushed and his eyes wide. "I gotta go now, but I'll see you again soon, Eddie."
"Yeah, soon," Eddie mumbles, seeming dazed until he shakes his head. "Your, um, secret is safe with me, Stevie."
Steve blinks and flashes a blinding smile. "Of course it is," he says, "You're my bestest friend."
With that, he hugs Eddie and then runs to his mother, brimming with excitement at getting to tell her all about the park and Eddie.

Moments like these aren’t meant to be forever
Tumblr media
“I have cancer.” The words felt so foreign coming out of your mouth. JJ let out a shocked laugh “Baby that’s not something to joke about.” “I’m not joking JJ.” You replied voice barely above a whisper.
JJ tried to be supportive but he was still somewhat in denial. He tried to keep living life the same way with you often having to remind him you couldn’t do as much. He adjusted as well as he could. But he just couldn’t bring himself to believe the love of his life was so sick.
One day JJ was talking to the rest of the Pogues about how you weren’t doing as much. “JJ she’s sick! She doesn’t have the energy to go on a goose hunt for gold we don’t even know exists.” Kiara spoke while throwing her hands in the air. “Why don’t you just do movie nights and maybe the occasional game night?” Pope suggested.
JJ took his friend’s advice and got way too much of your favorite snacks and struggled to smuggle them through your window. JJ knew you wouldn’t feel like answering the door. And JJ being JJ he loved crawling through windows. He would always do a special double knock before making his grand entrance. You tried to stifle your laugh this time seeing JJ struggle with what looked like half the store coming through your window. JJ felt his heart flutter hearing your laugh as weak as it was.
“I present the Y/N buffet.” JJ attempted a fancy accent as he showcased the snacks. He handed you your favorite drink and proceeded to empty the snacks all over the bed. He laid down beside you and put your favorite movie on. As you focused on the movie JJ couldn’t help but look at you in awe. Just seeing you smile and enjoying your favorite movie made him smile. The thought of you not being there brought tears to his eyes. He sniffled quietly and wiped his tears before you could see them. He put his arm around you and cuddled closer desperately wishing he could freeze that moment in time.
JJ and the Pogues made it a point to spend as much time with you as possible. It was obvious to the others that you weren’t getting better. JJ however was oblivious.
He did his special knock and crawled through your window. As he came in he was shocked to see your room pitch dark. He assumed you were just in the shower or something and didn’t think too much of it. Until your mom came in. JJ was about to open his mouth to make small talk before your mom cut him off. “Oh honey.” She simple said before breaking down and crying on his shoulder. JJ couldn’t believe it. He didn’t want to believe it. The tears uncontrollably fell down his face as he hugged your mom. An unspoken bond had formed between the two.
Once your mom collected herself and walked out the sound of JJ’s sobs could’ve been heard around the neighborhood. As he sat on your bed memories of the two of you flooded his mind. Evidently your mom had told the others as they soon filled your room to comfort JJ.

What's mine is mine and what is Rick Riordan's is Rick Riordan's. Also, I based this a bit on the song "The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade) by The Warning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You sobbed on the elevator floor as it made its way up to Olympus, as slowly as possible, it seemed to you. Luke was the only thought that ran through your mind.
Memories of his friendship when you first arrived at Camp all those years ago. Of him teaching you to fight with a sword. Of your first kiss with him, of your first time with him. He had been your first everything; he had been your everything.
You never forgave him for betraying you. He would never forgive you for betraying him, for being Percy's spy.
You knew that it was all going to end today. No matter how it ended, though, you needed to see him. Even if he wasn't Luke anymore and it was only Kronos inside him.
The elevator dinged, signaling that you were now on Olympus. You pulled yourself and your sword off the floor and as soon as the door opened, you ran. You ran as fast as you could to the throne room, praying to whoever would listen that you would get there on time before everything went down.
You burst into the throne room to find Luke -- or, Kronos -- disarming Percy with Backbiter.
"STOP!" you yelled, catching Kronos's attention. He made his way toward you, slashing with Backbiter, but you blocked the hit with your own sword. "Luke, it's not too late to stop this. This is going to end one way or another."
Kronos roared. "Luke Castellan is dead! His body will burn away as I assume my true form!"
You smirked. "We both know Luke isn't dead. I've been around you for the past few months. Luke's fighting and I'm sure you've noticed that he's one stubborn bastard."
Kronos pushed against your sword but you stood your ground.
"Luke, please," you whispered. "I know you're scared but I need you to fight. Fight him." You let out a soft sob. "And I need you to know that despite everything, despite the betrayal, the lies, the blood on our hands, I am still in love with you. And I know that love is hopeless now, but my love for you never died. So fight, Luke!"
"I will crush you, child!" Kronos screamed as he continued pushing against you.
"No, you won't. Keep fighting. You're still holding Kronos back even now."
"LIES!" When Kronos pushed again, you lost your balance and he struck your face, blood trickling from the corner of your mouth as you fell to the ground.
You took a quick look around you, Annabeth, Percy, and Grover were all watching, Annabeth was crying, but they were as safe as they could be in this situation.
Kronos loomed above you with Backbiter raised. "To the farthest star and back..." you said. You laughed. "Our stupid little saying."
Kronos stared at the sword in your hand and he staggered. His eyes snapped to the blood on your chin. "The farthest star."
He gasped. "Y/N," he whispered, but it wasn't Kronos's voice. It was Luke's. He stumbled forward as you stood up. "You're bleeding...."
Immediately, you grabbed Backbiter from him, throwing it to the side and allowing it to spin into the hearth.
"Y/N!" Annabeth shouted. You turned and he slid her dagger to you, the dagger Luke had given her so many years ago. You picked it up and nodded your thanks to her.
Kronos growled. "Stupid girl." His whole body appeared to be glowing and turning gold, just as his eyes were.
He gasped once again. Luke's voice pleaded with you, "He's changing. Help. He's... he's almost ready. He won't need my body anymore. Please--"
"NO!" Knronos bellowed. He stumbled toward Backbiter in the hearth. You were frozen where you were, just watching as Kronos grabbed the sword from the hearth before screaming in pain and dropping it.
Luke turned back to you and he fell onto his knees. You carefully went to him. "Please, Y/N."
You kneeled in front of him. Tears fell from his eyes. You wiped them away. You took a moment there to memorize him. His dark curls you loved to run your fingers through as you lay on his chest. His ears you loved to whisper dirty jokes and sweet nothings into. His eyes you loved to get lost in. His scar, nose, and jawline you loved to place kisses on. His lips you loved to make out with.
"Can you control him?" you asked.
Luke nodded as he moved one of his charred hands to cup your face. You moved closer to him, and then you kissed him. You kissed him knowing it would be the last time.
When you pulled away, you rested your forehead against his. "Show me where it is," you whispered.
He unlatched the side straps of his armor to expose some skin under his left arm. He took gentle hold of your hand holding Annabeth's dagger. He never once broke your gaze.
"I love you," he said before you both stabbed the dagger into his Achilles Heel.
Luke screamed, his eyes glowed. The throne room shook as an aura of energy surrounded Luke, glowing so bright you had to shut your eyes and remove your hands from him to cover your face.
It went silent.
When you opened your eyes, you found Luke lying by the hearth. Around him was a circle of ash. His left side was bloody. His eyes -- his beautiful brown eyes -- were open.
You pulled his head into your lap and pulled the knife from him. "Hi," you said, not knowing what else to say.
He smiled up at you despite the pain. "Hi."
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover came closer to you and Luke. Annabeth had tears in her eyes.
Luke gazed at her. "I'm so sorry."
"You were a hero in the end, Luke. You'll go to Elysium," Annabeth promised.
Luke weakly shook his head. "Think... rebirth. Try for three times. Isles of the Blest."
"Overachiever," you chuckled.
He smiled again up at you. "Y/N, I've loved you ever since you stepped foot into Camp Half-Blood and I never stopped loving you. Through all of it. I'll never stop loving you. To the farthest star and back."
Tears flowed down your face. "We really should have come up with a better saying. That was horrible."
"What? What could be better than a saying we came up with as cringey and stupid sixteen-year-olds?" He laughed then winced.
"We can get ambrosia," Grover said. "We can--"
"Grover," Luke interrupted. "You're the bravest satyr I ever knew. But no. There's no healing..." He coughed.
He gripped Percy's sleeve. "Ethan. Me. All the unclaimed. Don't let it... Don't let it happen again."
"I won't," Percy replied. "I promise."
Luke nodded then looked back at you. "I love you... to the farthest--" he coughed, "--to the farthest star and back, Y/N."
His eyes closed and his body went slack.
A sob tore through you.

Grayson and phone girl hcs!!!!
- He’s Folklore coded
- Shes midnights coded (or red idk)
- Grayson hates sweet coffees and takes his coffee black
- phone girl takes her coffee with one milk and 2 sugars
- Grayson loves taking photos of her
- he also loves spoiling phone girl, but she hates being spoiled (yes she has yelled at him multiple times for getting her expensive gifts but he gets her them anyway)
- she didn’t know how to swim well before but then Grayson taught her
- her and Grayson play chess together and at first he won most the games, but then phone girl started catching up and winning aswell
- when phone girl told Grayson her favourite book, he immediately started reading it so she would have someone to talk to about it 💖💖
- forehead kisses and neck kisses!!!!
- she’s close with all of graysons brothers but ESPECIALLY close with Jameson (I just feel like they would be bsfs)
- movie nights are sacred to them!!
- graysons close with her mom and is always so kind to her (🤭💖💖💖)
- thea showed phone girl the video of Grayson singing karaoke in tights and she didn’t shut up about it for like 3 months 💀
- she’s a super light sleeper, meanwhile grayson can sleep through a war (the final gambit atonement night chapter says he’s a deep sleeper LMAO)
- grayson contrasts silver, phone girl contrasts gold
- Grayson realized he liked her before she realized she liked him (and when she did realize she didn’t want to accept it bc his grandfather was kinda the reason her dad died)
- she’s close with both of his sisters but ESPECIALLY close with Savannah, and the two of them hang out all the time
- one night, grayson got really drunk, like blackout drunk, and accidentally told all of his brothers that he liked phone girl, (which honestly they saw coming) and he had a really nice heart-to-heart with them. He talked about why he loved her and how he loved her the second he called his phone, and then ruined the heartfelt moment by throwing up on the carpet
- when gigi first met phone girl, (I’d assumed she’d meet her kind of late into the games) she thought that she was the “girlfriend” Grayson was talking about in tbh, and without a hint of irony in her voice, asked “so, you like limes?”
- phone girl was immediately confused and asked her what she meant, but Grayson switched the topic and (somehow) saved himself a lot of embarrasment
- phone girl doesn’t really like her birthday anymore because that was the day her father shot himself, so Grayson tries to do really fun and exciting stuff to distract her
- she tried getting other girls to date him, and then would be surprised when she got jealous 💀
- Nash was the first one to notice they liked each other and asked Grayson about it teasingly, and Grayson in response ended the conversation SO FAST
- she eventually found out WHY Gigi asked about the limes, and made a joke saying “ the entire world is in love with you, Grayson, and you had to make up a fake girlfriend?”
-now the lime thing is an inside joke, so whenever one of graysons brothers (or Grayson) asks where she is, she just says “I’m out buying limes”
- Avery and her are those friends that “hang out” by laying on the couch, watching movies, and going on their phones instead of actually doing stuff together (iykyk)
- Grayson was SOOO mad about Mathias liking Gigi bc he works for eve, so he told phone girl and she actually took gigis side (Grayson was shocked but gigi and phone girl immediately became bsfs after that day)
okay thats all and I know I’m talking about the inheritance games too much and it may be annoying, but trust me it will be WAY more annoying when the grandest game vault comes out 💀 (im sorry)

Pretty huge Doughnuts
The word count's droppin', but I'm not stoppin' - @taznovembercelebration day 15. Prompt "baby"
Read below or on Ao3. Missed yesterday's catch it here.
-
“You’re doing what now?”
“Planning Lup a baby shower.”
“Lup’s pregnant?” Barry’s voice is doing something high pitched and weird and Taako’s unsure exactly what the fuck is going on, but someone’s forgotten they have like 8 PhDs.
“Wanna think that through, Barold? Do you think that maybe she might have told you if she’d cracked that one.”
Barry looks less panicked. “Yeah… fair. Uh.”
“Anyway.” Taako ploughs on valiantly, he’ll pull this one out at a later date, once Barold thinks he’s forgotten. “I’m planning a baby shower for her.”
“If she’s not pregnant…” Barry starts.
“Which she isn’t.” Taako adds, helpfully.
“Yeah. Uh. Which she isn’t.” Barry looks pale still, poor, sweet idiot. “... then why are you throwing her a baby shower?”
“It took her more than nine months to birth the thesis” Taako says, he shrugs because it’s obvious, obviously. He doesn't know why literally no one so far has understood. They're definitely the problem.
Barry’s still scrunkling his face up like Taako's being irrational. The joke's on him because Taako's never irrational.
“She’s had a tonne of appointments.”
“Uh huh.”
"She brought new life into the world."
"The necromancy thing isn't part of the main thesis after, you know, the legal issues."
“I meant the concepts, not the zombie. Anyway the university are cowards for not embracing him." Before they get into the ethics of free education after reanimation Taako diverts Barry again. "She had to do that scan.”
“What scan? Wait, Taako, do you mean the MRIs she did for the data collection?”
“Now you get it.”
“I…”
“Cha’boy found this banner.” Taako unfurls it dramatically and holds it up, it’s gold and spangly and far too much, which is, of course, the perfect amount.
“Congratulations, it’s a…” Reads Barry.
“PhD!” Taako replies. “I’m gonna write it in and add flames. It’ll be great.”
“She’ll love the flames.” Says Barry, probably trying to tactfully dissuade Taako from the rest. Optimistic fool.
“I made a game for us where we have to guess the circumference of her thesis. There's prizes.”
“Is the thesis measurement bound or unbound?” Asks Barry far too fast. Oooooh, Taako has him on board now. Suddenly he loves BaPhD showers.
“No can do, Bluejeans, you wouldn’t want to cheat, would you? Wouldn’t want to ruin Lup’s special day by making it all about winning?”
“No.” Says Barry, unconvincingly.
“No cheating, Barold!”
Barry doesn’t say anything. Taako never should have taken Bluejeans under his wing, he’s created a monster.
“What’s a baby snack?”
"Mush?"
"No, like, for this."
“Are you asking what a baby thesis would eat?” Barry sounds more delighted by the concept than he should be.
“Baby researchers, I assume.” Chews them up, spits them out, not that Taako’s bitter. He’s fine. He can come back any time. Any time the police get round to officially clearing him. Not that it’s a problem, he’s not bothered about his degree anyway. He’s peachy. It’s not weird to see Lup get her doctorate before him when they were supposed to do it together.
Barry seems to realise he’s triggered some kind of horror even though Taako's definitely doing an incredibly normal face. He's going to try sand be nice about it.
“What are PhD snacks?” He asks before Barry can say anything kind.
“Pretty huge doughnuts.” Barry replies without hesitation. Taako knew there was a reason he kept him around.
Taako makes a note in his phone. Giant doughnuts mean giant frying, mean big oil, mean big pan.
“Why’re we making big doughnuts?” Kravitz asks, cracking the door to his room.
Of course it was food discussion that summoned him from his regimented work schedule (ignoring what he needed to do because he got distracted by other things and then panic typing up everything for his deadline.) It bodes well for Taako’s ongoing wooing, the stuff about hearts and stomachs was true probably, but Taako was also hoping to make his way to Kravitz’s di…
“Taako’s throwing Lup a surprise baby shower.” Barry cuts through Taako’s wandering thoughts. “We’re planning the menu.”
“Oh.” Says Kravitz. “For her PhD? Neat!”

can i request jo/egan + 10. maraschino cherries? please and thank you!
Jo + MotA has a tag now, help. From this prompt list. Bucky Egan/WarCo OC.
She hadn’t wanted to come out tonight, but the Red Cross girls insisted.
It’s still on her desk, torn open, the package with her address on it. The brooch inside that wasn’t her name, the little pearls and swirling letters in gold plate, the pink paste stone. The note attached, longer than the last one he’d written her.
Pity was the last thing she wanted tonight, even if it felt like her chest was stuffed with cotton. So she didn’t say anything, didn’t let Helen’s gentle questions get anywhere, or Tatty’s inquisitive grin. Could she pass it off as homesickness? The three of them loved their jobs too much for that, maybe. Took too much pride in them, at least, if not loved. Love was a word she held back here, with even the loudest of parties shot through with sadness.
She’s still wearing his class ring. The little silver thing, with enamel and gold edges. The ring that wasn’t about her, either.
“You want to try another drink, Jo?”
She’s barely touched her soda, the little maraschino cherry still floating on top, tendrils of red syrup in the weakened carbonation. They’d gotten a few jars in earlier in the week, and everyone was feeling the extra sparkle. It wasn’t a twist of lemon or an orange peel or the end of the war, but it was alright.
“Oh no, thank you. Can’t waste this one, right?” She takes a sip.
A certain voice echoes in her head. What kind of chump doesn’t get a girl a nice ring?
She does, she needs a drink.
On nights like these, Helen and Tatty’s chairs are soon empty — blue uniforms spinning in a room amongst olive wool and florals.
“Hey there, Josephine.”
She looks up at him, the dim lights behind his head. “Major Egan.”
He makes the same face he always does. “You could at least call me John.”
“Same reason I don’t dance, Major.”
He looks over his shoulder at the band, at the crowd of pairs dancing. “Why’re you here, then?”
She jerks her chin at Helen’s martini glass and the last few sips of Tatty’s sherry. “You think I had a choice?”
“Hey, don’t make fun of the nice ladies.” He half-smiles, the kind he never keeps off his face. “C’mon, dance with me.”
She wonders if Dora lives back home or somewhere in England, an ocean or a stone’s throw. Have they danced? She assumes they have.
“Song’s almost over, Josephine.”
She wonders if he can see that her eyes are a little red. At least, she feels they still are. “Is that your selling point?”
“You won’t have to worry about a thing.”
The last pretty face they ever see, right? She can’t push it away, can’t invite it in. There’s no one else here to care, no reporters who’ll moan that she only gets stories by dancing, by turning something on that your average Joe reporter can’t.
She stands, and he looks at her like she’s made a miracle happen.
The song does end, and he still holds out his hand. “Don’t think you’re getting off that easy.” Her fingers hover above his outstretched palm. The next song starts slow, like bubbles in a glass of champagne. He looks like a schoolboy when her expression asks if he did it on purpose. “I know I’m dancing with another’s betrothed,” he says, annunciating like he’s explaining the word.
She’d take the straight bottle, actually. Whiskey. Vodka. Gin.
“I— I don’t know about that,” she says. It’s everything she can do to keep her feet moving. To keep from stepping on his toes.
Above her, she can feel his chin brush her hair. “What?” It’s possible she’s never regretted saying anything more in her life. “What happened?”
The brooch, sitting on her desk. Amongst all of her things. Her letters. Her notebook. Her cigarettes and lipstick and tins of pocket candy. Is she supposed to care this much? Is this something she’s just supposed to accept?
“Not here,” she says. She hates how small her voice sounds.
“You know we’ve got a jeep,” he says. “You just tell us where—”
“I think maybe I need a drink,” she says. He’s taken her hand, holds it against his chest.
“‘Course, what’ll you have?”
“Whatever’s back at my room.” Maybe she’ll figure out how to ask for a bottle of wine so that nobody looks at her funny. “Alone.”
He doesn’t stop holding her. She said alone. She thinks— she thinks she means it. She knows he’d—
“Alone,” he repeats.
“Mmhm.”
The music continues around them, soapy and warm. His voice by her ear. “You want a drink before you go? Want me to tell you I owe you a dance? Make up for this one?”
You don’t owe me anything, John. You didn’t do a damn thing wrong.
But she nods, against his chest, “yes ma’am,” and lets the moment linger a second longer.

Wrong destination | chapter two.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Nikolai Lantsov x reader
Summary: After running into Alina and Mal, the three of you try to get out of Noyvi Zem before getting caught. This leads you to another encounter that you’re sure will mess up the time line.
warning/s: none
taglist: @spellsofavalon @vera0124
enjoy!
Tumblr media
“Only two ships in a harbor town? Something’s not right.”
The three of you were currently hiding between some barrels, the current plan was to escape by ship.
“Maybe Bohdan ordered them away,” suggested Alina, “But the first army doesn’t have jurisdiction here,” Mal replied quickly.
You’ve read some books about the first army but you weren’t a hundred percent educated on them. You found the first grisha queen’s story a lot more interesting, and inspiring.
You didn’t speak up at all during the conversation between the two and felt especially awkward when Mal leaned his forehead against hers, you felt like you weren’t supposed to be there.
Which you weren’t, but whatever.
The three of you stepped away from the barrels and began to walk towards the people in front of the ship. You clenched your fists on the walk down; Alina suggested bribing them with 20 million kruge, but you were still on edge from the fight from earlier.
When you reached the people at the ship, Alina outstretched an arm to them handing them a piece of gold, “It’s gold,” she says.
The girl who Alina handed the gold to, took it and- bit it.
“That’ll do,” she said before turning back to a young man behind her, handing him the piece of gold. The young man examined the piece of gold on his own before fully confirming to himself that it was real gold.
“Come on then, hurry up. I’ll take you to the captain.”
Apart of you was actually excited, you were going to be traveling with pirates, not everyone from your time can say they’ve done that. You tried to contain your excitement though, you didn’t want anyone to think you were suspicious.
You were about to say thank you and enter the ship before someone called out for you-“You! Stop!”
The fucking guards.
The girl you first met at the ship immediately stepped towards them, edging them on.
“You want to fight Ravka?”
Still on edge, you took your other shoe off and threw it at the group of men then immediately made a run for it onto the ship, followed by Alina, Mal, and the young man; leaving the young woman alone to humble the group of men.
“Let’s be clear about two things. I don’t take orders on my own ship. And we’re already underway, I’m glad you’ve joined us.”
The captain, you assumed, had his arms on the table in front of him, resting his weight on the table and leaning forward.
He had ginger hair and green muddy eyes. Although he wasn’t standing up straight, you could tell that he was tall. His nose was crooked, it looked as if he got it handed to him multiple times.
“Now, maybe if you’d be so kind as to give the room a little light,” he continued,” after all you are Alina Starkov. A 20 million kurge saint.”
He pulled out a gun from his jacket and set it on the table, voicing out a silent threat, “dead or alive.”
No wonder his nose was crooked, if you felt a little more confident in your fighting abilities you probably also would’ve decked him in the face.
“Before you continue with the threats,” you begin to say honestly not caring about what’s happening. You knew that at the end of this conversation, he would let Alina and Mal out, might as well leave the room as soon as possible, “could I leave the room? I don’t think I’m needed here.”
Tolya, whose name you learned on the way to the captain, let out a deep exhale.
The captain looked at you slightly confused beige nodding and gesturing Tolya to walk you out the room.
“Wait outside the door though, I have to speak with you too,” said the captain before Tolya came up to you and gestured you out the room.
You were hoping to have some quiet outside the room, but you throwing a shoe out of everything at military personnel amused Tolya to no ends, enough for him to stay talking about it for 10 minutes.
“Do you always throw shoes at people?”
“No-“
“Where are you from? You don’t seem like a Ravka girl.”
“Gee, thanks-“
“What brought you here-“
The door abruptly opening cut Tolya off mid sentence.
“Can you give them a small tour around the ship? Then bring them to the fancy quarters,” the captain said before turning his gaze to you and walking back into his office, implying for you to follow, and you did.
“Close the door on your way in,” he said.
You stood awkwardly in the middle of the room when you finished closing the door. The captain went around his desk and resumed the same position he was in when you first walked into his office.
“Now who are you?”
“Y/N.”
“No last name?”
“Who are you?”
“The name’s Sturmhond.”
“Is that your last name?”
“It’d be a terrible first.”
He leaned further on the table, quickly getting irritated at your distancing, “Alright, love, if you came any other day you’d probably be in luck for me to indulge in your little back and forth momentum, but you coincidentally came in the same time as the sun summoner. Not everyone just regularly travels with a saint.”
You looked away from him, afraid that he’ll somehow expose you to be a time traveler.
“So I’ll ask again, and only once again, who are you.”
“I just want a place to sleep at until we reach shore again.”
“That’s utter bull, love, and you know it.”
You look back at him, your emotional and physical tiredness catching up with you, “I just had the unfortunate luck of crossing paths with them, that’s all. You can use a heartrender,” you clear your throat, the memory of Elijah popping up in your head, “to make sure Im telling the truth when I say I don’t have any ill agenda.”
“But you have one,” he challenges.
“When does someone not?”
He seemed to not have any remarks to that. He didn’t say anything for a few minutes, he just kept his eyes on you.
“Very well,” he finally says. “You seem tired, I’ll show you where you’ll be sleeping.”
He gave you a small grin, looking strangely familiar to Elijah’ grin whenever he teased you.
“May not look like the fanciest, but I swear, it’ll feel as such. Well actually that’s a lie, but what can you expect from a hammock at sea? Enjoy your stay, love.”
You let out a breath you’ve been holding since you walked on to the ship once Sturmhond was far away for you to feel slightly relaxed.
Your area was small and was set in between two other hammocks that belonged to complete strangers. Fortunately you didn’t have any luggage with you so you didn’t have to worry about anything getting stolen. You didn’t even have any shoes.
Wow so classy.
You put one of your legs up on the hammock, attempting to get on it. You failed. Then you tiptoed and set your lower behind on the hammock, trying to get on it once again. This time it worked.
You slowly recline your body, leaning on your side, before turning on your back, now looking up at the ceiling of this sleeping area.
“You would’ve loved this place, eli, you always wanted to be a pirate,” you laugh softly, remembering a childhood moment.
“Arrrr matey, give me your money!”
Elijah, a seven year old, threatened with his weirdly bent fork that was taped onto his pointer finger.
“Eli,” you exclaimed, “that didn’t even rhyme!”
“Arrr matey, pirates don’t have to rhyme my lady,” replied Elijah, pronouncing the end of lady like “ty” to make it rhyme with matey.
“Ew, don’t call me that,” you scrunched your face, cringing at the pet name.
Elijah dropped his shoulders as a pout formed on his face, “Y/N! Can you please play along? You know this is important for me, I have to pass my pirate audition!”
“Pirate audition?” You ask back, “Those exist?”
“Of course they do! How else would pirates become pirates?”
“I guess… ok I’m sorry, I’ll take this more seriously.”
A smile now showed on Elijah’ face, “Ok, from the beginning. Arrrr matey, give me your money!”
You smile, finding the entire thing childishly funny. Then the memory quickly becomes sour when you remember the scene of his head disconnected from the rest of his body. The feeling of having to throw up rapidly makes an appearance, but it stops before it’s too hard to control.
You close your eyes and try to leave the memory, forcing yourself to focus on your surroundings as you try to fall asleep.
“Look lively, topside now!”
You jerk your head up at the sound of a loud voice and push yourself up. You looked around for a few seconds before pushing yourself up completely and brushing any dirt that ended up on your clothes.
“Of course I wake up on the floor,” you mumble to yourself before heading to the ladder at the far end of the department, and climbing up to the deck.
“Hey,” you hear as soon as you get on the deck, “I meant to ask yesterday but it didn’t seem like the right time. Where’d you get your clothes from?”
Sturmhond walked towards you as he asked the question, seemingly waiting for you to show up.
“Where would you get yours,” you asked back as you started to walk away from him, not sure what he wanted. “Where’s Alina and Mal,” you ask before he could answer your rhetorical question.
“Haven’t came up yet. Why? Need the sun summoner for something?”
Of course he was weary of you, it’s not common for someone to genuinely help someone in this time period without wanting anything in return.
“It’s that rare to want to know how the well-being of someone who has previously helped you? Saints, that’s sad.”
Sturmhond snickered from behind you, “Yeah, pretty rare.”
You walked to a side railing, looking over it to watch the water sway beneath you. The ocean was always something that fascinated you; the fact that it makes up so much of the world yet very little is known about it.
Just like your very own power within you.
“Don’t touch that,” you heard from behind you. You quickly turned your head, the feeling of panic striking you, but relief flooded that feeling away when you saw that Sturmhond was talking to Mal and Alina; leaving you alone with the sea beneath your feet.
The sun set just as quickly as it raised. A few members of the ships crew, including its captain and Alina and Mal, embarked on a mission they had once the ship reached a rather mysterious looking island.
When they came back on the ship, it was announced that Alina received her second amplifier and the entire crew was able to watch as she attached it to her body.
Now everyone was asleep, except for you. Not being able to use your power and being stuck in an era that isn’t yours quickly made itself a reoccurring thought. What if you were never able to go home? You still had a family, still had other friends, you still wanted to save Elijah- but how? If you didn’t have your power then what.
Was there an amplifier you could use?
You momentarily stop thinking about these issues once you get to the deck of the ship, the stars in the sky immediately demanding for your attention. A memory of your mother telling you stories about the stars flood your mind.
You feel the soft breeze that always accompanies the ocean as you walk to the middle of the deck and sit down.
“Mom,” you whisper out, “the sea at night is just as you said.”
“Hey,” you hear from behind you, again. The same voice.
“Good evening,” you reply back, starting to get up as you turn towards him.
“It’s late out. Crews not allowed up here after sundown,” he walks towards you, offering you the jacket that was rested on his arm as he gets closer. You glance down at the jacket before looking back up at him, slightly taken off guard at how the moonlight seemed to perfectly light his face.
He’s definitely not bad looking.
“With all due respect, I’m not really apart of the crew,” you reply back, “I’m just here until we reach somewhere safe.” He stands for a few seconds, his hand still holding the jacket out to you.
Taking your words as a rejection, he pulls the hand holding his jacket back to him. He doesn’t say anything to you, he only walks to a side railing on the deck and looks up at the night sky. A comfortable silence rests between you two.
Assuming he wasn’t going to say anything else, you start to walk back to the ladder that led to the hammocks.
“Feel free to stay out, then.”
You stop mid step, mentally weighing the cons and pros of staying out here alone with a man who has made it clear that he does not trust you.
The sky is pretty anyways. You decide to use that as you reason to stay.
You walk towards the same side railing Sturmhond was leaning on, leaving a few inches between you two as you rest your weight on it.
“Why were you out here,” he asked, keeping his eyes straight down, watching the moons reflection of the waters surface.
“Couldn’t sleep.”
“Oh wow,” he chuckles while speaking, “you actually gave me a direct answer. Didn’t know you could do that.”
“And I regret doing so,” you say; more on the playful side however, indulging in some sarcastic remarks might be good for your sanity.
From your peripheral, you saw Sturmhond push himself off of the railing, you assumed he was going to walk back inside but he only did so to straighten his back.
“Even though you aren’t apart of my crew permanently, you still eat, sleep, and spend time on my ship. You’re still under my supervision, which means you’re in my crew,” he turns misled towards you, leaning on his side against the railing this time, “and I like to know my crew.”
Mirroring his body movement, you also turn yourself towards him. Maybe telling this stranger, who you’ll never meet again and who you don’t remember in any history books, a few things about you wouldn’t do you any harm. It might be good to make some friends for the mean time.
“Down for a few questions?”
“Alright, my name is Y/N.”
“Still no last name?”
“Still no last name.”
“Ok…,” he chuckled again. “If I can’t know your last name, then can I know how you met the sun summoner? Like I said, that’s not just some regular encounter. Why are you on my ship?”
“I want to go home,” you said; ignoring the first part of his question. “I got lost and I just want to go back.”
“Where’s your home?”
“Ravka.”
You heard a sound come from him, something akin to a laugh, “You’re from Ravka?”
“Yeah,” you said, a little confused as to why he asked again.
He turned his body away from you, looking off into the distance as the smell of sea water and the cool evening breeze took over your senses.
“What do you think about the prince,” he suddenly asks, still looking off into the distance.
The prince? Who was the prince at this time…
You tried to remember all the history books you read and cursed yourself for only really caring about the grisha queen- but then you remember a name that was commonly brought up alongside her and who was once king.
“The puppy prince?”
Sturmhond suddenly turned his head towards you, his expression mixed with surprise and annoyance.
Maybe he knew the prince…?
“Puppy prince?” He repeats, his tone unidentifiable.
You nod slowly, a little worried that you might’ve offended him, “I don’t know him personally and I don’t have an opinion on him, but I’ve heard people call him that.”
He ran a hand through his hair, his shoulder lowering as he rested his forearms on the railing; a sigh escaping his mouth.
He mumbles a few things under his breath that you were unable to catch on to.
“How’d you get away from home?”
“I,” you trailed off, not sure if you wanted to tell him that, “I’m trying to find a cure, for a friends sickness. He’s already in dire need of help, so I’d like to reach shore as soon as possible.”
He didn’t say anything. It was silent again; the sound of the waves and the breeze being the only audible thing at this time of day.
You push yourself off the railing, realizing how late it is; “Well, sturmhond, thank you for the company. I’ll be going back inside now.”
You began to walk away from him, looking up at the sky while doing so.
“Y/N,” Sturmhond says, causing you to stop walking before you could reach the ladder, “We’ll get you home. Promise.”
“Ok,” you respond with a small smile, not looking back at him, “I’ll keep you to it.”
“Come with us, it’s the fastest way to get you to shore.”
After your talk with Sturmhond on the deck, he’s been very persistent on updating you on how close you guys were to shore.
You were surprised that he seemed to care that much, about someone who wasn’t truly apart of his crew. You weren’t going to take that for granted though.
“When do you leave?”
“In an hours time, so pack quickly.”
“I-“ you began to say but he walked away before you could even finish, “…I didn’t even give you an answer yet.”
You sighed as you turned back to your hammock, that had nothing on it, since you had nothing with you. You decided to walk around the ship to make the hour go by quicker.
“Y/N!”
Alina, who you haven’t spoken too for some days, ran to you immediately at seeing you.
“Alina-“ she ran up to you quicker that you expected and pulled you into a massive bear hug, cutting your air circulation. “You’re coming with us?” She asked when she finally pulled away.
You nodded, “Don’t get my wrong, your shoe throwing is a very unique tactic but I don’t think that’ll affect the monsters in the fold that much.”
You froze at her words and just stared at her, dumbfounded.
You’re going into the fold?
“How’s it feel, ready to take on the fold?”
Mal asked while walking up to you two, specifically to Alina.
As Alina averted her attention for you to Mal, you took it as your chance to give them space. You still felt as if you shouldn’t be apart of any of their conversations since they’ve already had it without you; you didn’t want to mess up the timeline anymore than you assumed you already have.
Nervousness began to bubble in the pit of your stomach. In modern Ravka, there is no fold, you didn’t have to worry about any shadow monsters. You’re in the past though, you remind yourself. Of course your luck would lead you here.
“There you are, I was about to go looking for you,”to your right was Sturmhond who was currently walking towards you, “Excited?”
“Of course n-“ you stop yourself mid sentence. Yes, apart of you was upset that he was throwing you into the equivalent of hell, but he was also the reason why you’d reach Ravka sooner than most. So you didn’t really have any room to complain.
You inhale before restarting your sentence, “To get to Ravka? Yes. To travel through the Fold? No.”
He smirked at your words, “Aw don’t worry, we’ve got a saint with us- you two ready?” He asked Alina and Mal. They nodded, “Might want to hold on to something,” Sturmhond told you as he walked to the middle of his ship, where a lever was rested at.
“Prepare to decouple,” he yelled out. The twins, Tolya and Tamar jumped on the ship; surprising you as they seemed to have come from thin air. Sturmhond yelled out to someone on the other side of the ship before pulling the lever. Just on cue, Kovu, who Sturmhond yelled out to just a few moments ago, moved his arms in a precise motion, pushing air up and towards the sails.
You felt the part of the ship you were on began to lift into the air, you quickly grabbed on to the ledge and jerked your body back so you didn’t see the ground.
This is just like an airplane, you tell yourself in an attempt to slow down your rapidly increasing heartbeat. In front of you, Alina threw herself onto a bench; seemingly afraid. Mal entered your sight of vision as he came up to Alina trying to get her to get up.
You laughed at the view, not because you were making fun of her, but because of how common it is to fly in your time. You wonder how Alina would react to being on an actual airplane.
Still, even though your use to flying in the air, a creation like this-that you’ve studied in school before and is now on- it was fascinating. You slowly turn your body back towards the ledge, looking over it now and overseeing the view.
“This is amazing,” you meant to whisper out but it came out a lot louder than intended.
“Did you expect any less,” Sturmhond questioned as he stood next to you while leaning against the same ledge, “It’s like you haven’t even met me,” he joked. “Years and years of designs,” he continued, “and several dozen crashed prototypes.” He winced out the last part of his sentence, not the proudest at that fact, but it was expected.
You looked at him surprised, “You made this?” He nodded. “…you’re an inventor?” He nodded again. Of course he’s an inventor.
“I know,” he said with a smirk, “smart and handsome, gotta leave something for the rest of you all.”
You rolled your eyes at his cockiness; averting your gaze from him to watch the ground as you fly above it. You didn’t have a view like this on an airplane.
“Captain,” a crew member yelled out, “The Fold’s in sight.”
“Wonderful. Next stop,” he yelled so Alina and Mal could hear, “Destiny.”
It was all a blur, the time in the fold.
All you remember is Alina attempting to take down the Fold, then something happened which caused her to fail her attempt. Then suddenly it was all dark, and there were monsters, and gun shots, and screeches- it was horrific. Everything the history books said it was like.
And now it was dark again. You couldn’t see or feel, maybe you were dead. Then suddenly you hear voices.
“One, two, three,-“
And suddenly you saw light again.
Your body jerked up at the feeling of oxygen rushing into your lungs. Around you, you heard sighs of reliefs and thanks being given to the saints as someone aggressively patted your back and you coughed up the remaining water that was in your lungs.
You turned to look at the person patting your back and was met with someone completely unfamiliar, but attractive.
“Almost lost you there,” said the stranger as he wiped his mouth with the back of his palm.
“Who the hell are you-“ the sound of horns blaring and soldiers marching drained out your voice.
“You’ve crossed illegally onto Ravkan soil. Identify yourselves,” asked who you assume to be the commander of the group of soldiers as they came to a stop.
The blonde stranger next to you gave you another pat on the back before getting up from his current position on his knees, “I’ll handle this.”
“Have I really changed that much,” he asked as he jumped down from the wrecked ship, “I knows it’s been a number of years but people swear I remain boyishly handsome.”
You snort at his words. He may look unfamiliar but he definitely acts like someone you know.
Speaking of which, where is…
“It can’t be,” said the commander
“Yes it is,” replied the stranger as he took off his jacket.
“Moi tsarevich.”
As soon as the commander mumbled out those words, he and the rest of his troops immediately got down on one knee.
Tsarevich… prince…
“Alina,” you call out, “where’s Sturmhond?”
Alina looked back at you with widened eyes, as if she came to the same conclusion that you have.
Oh.
He was definitely someone you remembered in those history books.

You couldn't take your eyes off her. But the burning net was starting to hurt your eyes so you supposed, in the interest of being physically able to look at her more in the future, you would look away now.
Since you had first laid eyes on the dark haired woman and her friends, you knew she was someone you wanted to know better. Her golden eyes held a fire in them that wasn't present in anyone else you had ever seen.
And then she destroyed that kid's sandcastle castle. Well we all had our quirks. You could certainly learn to live with someone that enjoys the tears of children.
Her friend, the flexible one with the long, light brown hair, was surrounded by men. You couldn't believe they were all over her when the dark, fire filled one was right there! Ah well, guess it just meant less competition.
The volleyball match was intense. Had you been able to tear your eyes off her and the flawless way she moved around the court, you would have seen half the beach captivated by the match.
When the net went up in flames, you could hardly believe your eyes. From the shouts from the others watching the game, you assumed you weren't the only one.
“Yes! We defeated you for all time! You will never rise from the ashes of your shame and humiliation!”
You weren't sure if pursuing this lady would be good for your health but you'd be damned if that was going to stop you from trying.
Gathering your courage (damn she was intimidating), you approached the small group.
“Hey, haven’t seen you around before,” You kept your eyes fixed on the woman who had so captivated you, “Y’know, I’m kinda a big shot around here.” The only guy in the group made to start forward but the lady you were talking to held out a hand, stopping him.
She smiled at you, a look made an inexplicable shiver run up your back though whether it was from delight or fear, you weren’t sure. “Carry on. You were saying?”
“I’m holding a party at my place tonight. You should come. Bring your friends as well. Just know that some important people will be there so try to be on your best behaviour.” You threw a wink her way, testing the waters.
Her smile grew and some unidentifiable emotion flickered behind her eyes.
“We’ll be there.”
~
The party was in full swing. Drinks were flowing swiftly and everyone seemed to be having a good time. You glanced around the room, searching for her. She and her friends had arrived at the exact time the party was meant to start, before anyone else had shown up. You had hoped to speak to her more then but you’d barely got out your warning that your dad didn’t know about the party before others had started arriving and you had been forced to play the host.
There she was, in the corner, staring back at you with eyes like molten gold. There was some unknowable emotion behind those eyes. You hoped it was concealed attraction but knowing what little you did of her, it could just as easily have been murderous intent.
You figured now was as good a time as any to try your luck. You weaved through the crowd, making your way towards her.
“Hey, having a good time?”
She looked at you for a moment before nodding.
“You wanna get some fresh air? There’s a balcony with a pretty good view.”
She nodded again. “Lead the way.”
The cool air and quietness of the balcony was a nice change from the energised atmosphere of the party.
You stood next to each other, taking in the view.
You decided to break the silence. “Is this your first time on Ember Island?”
“No. I used to come here years ago.”
“It’s pretty nice if you like sand.”
She laughed awkwardly loud. You looked across at her. She had a forced expression on her face. You hoped it wasn’t anything to do with you.
“Your arms look so strong.” There was that forced feeling again.
You turned to face her fully. Usually you would have taken the compliment but there was something weird going on.
“Are you okay? You’re acting strange.”
She sighed. “My friend said that to get a boy interested in me I had to look at him, smile a lot, and laugh at everything he says even if it's not funny.”
You felt your heart sink and rise at the same time. She clearly didn’t think you were funny if that forced laugh was anything to go by. But at the same time, what she had just said meant she was interested in you.
You were going to take that as a win.
“Well it worked. I’m certainly interested in you.”
But her expression didn’t change. “You don’t know anything about me.”
“I know enough to be interested in you. That’s all that matters.”
“Even if I’m the daughter of the Fire Lord?”
That threw you for a loop. This was the Fire Lord’s daughter? Azula? What was she doing at your meagre party? Oh god, you’d told her there would be important people at the party. She was without a doubt the most important person there.
You stopped your thoughts. Did that change how you felt about her? No. Not really. It just changed your perspective.
“So? Just because you’re the daughter of the Fire Lord doesn’t mean you’re not just a person as well.”
Her expression shifted. “Are you sure? There will be certain expectations. I’m very demanding.”
You smiled at her. “I think I can learn to live with that.”
A smile spread across Azula’s face. “Together, you and I will be the strongest couple in the entire world!” She lifted one hand, which filled with blue fire, “We will dominate the Earth!”
Yep, getting into a relationship with this one wouldn’t be good for your health. But that wasn’t going to stop you from trying.

CHAPTER 11 - TOUCH THE DEPTHS
childe x reader, wc: 4k, masterlist, Ao3
cw: nsfw, violence, murder
Tumblr media
Two men stood overlooking the calm harbour, the sun rose ever so slowly over the horizon. The Sea of Clouds reflecting the orange light, gold shining off the edges of the waves. Only dawn could make such a threatening abyss such as the sea look so tempting. Only gods knew what lay beneath the glimmering surface.
“How did you know?” Childe asked, leaning on the railing
“About what?” Zhongli replied
“Don’t play coy, you told her about my plans. How did you know about her, about anything to do with what the Fatui are doing in Liyue?”
“Age comes with wisdom Childe, all you need to do is look closely enough and you’ll find the invisible cracks that hide in the stone”
Childe hung his head and sighed “You are always so vague”
“The swing of a sword cannot cut the mist from the sky” Zhongli said, eyes somewhere else. With that he promptly turned his heel and left. Leaving Childe to ponder his words woven with things Childe was sure he was yet to understand. Once again he had gotten no answers out of him, only leaving him with infinitely more questions.
Childe sucked in a breath of the cold morning air and stood up straight. Today was the day, he could feel it, everything had finally fallen into place. It was now or never, the chance to seize his glory in the name of the Tsaritsa was finally upon him. How good it would feel to have a source of divine power in his own hands, one more pillar falling at The Tsaritsa’s feet. How good it would feel to prove himself worthy.
There was nothing left to it, with the letters from his family in Y/N’s hands and the comfort that his soldiers wouldn’t have to see him so weakened after the potential battle, he began his true task.
Something was happening, the air had shifted, it seemed heavier somehow. Childe had disappeared earlier leaving you with nothing but a word of warning and a small bag of letters addressed to him.
You paced back and forth trying to come up with a plan. He had said he would find you after he had finished his mission, that the moment the clouds drew over the sky you needed to run as far as you possibly could from Liyue Harbour.
From the broken bits of conversation you had overheard from Childe and Ekaterina it sounded like he was headed to the Golden House, and if he didn’t get what he needed, then he would 'pull out the last stop'.
That could only mean one thing, he would summon that wretched sea beast, unpinning the spears that had kept it locked beneath the weight of the seas. Zhongli’s words come back to haunt you again. You had never forgotten his title as Harbinger despite how hard you had tried to forget. There was nothing you could do to stop him.
You walked onto the balcony and kept your eyes on the sky. On the ground The Millelith seemed more tense than usual, whispering to each other and throwing suspicious glances at anyone who looked vaguely Fatui. The Fatui in return were congregating in the shadowy corners, nervous looks hidden by their masks.
Something in the blue of the ocean had shifted. The ships had stopped in their courses, the wind had died. The further the sun travelled in the sky the higher the tensions rose. All it took was one missive. You saw the messenger, one of Ningguang’s personal assistants, bolting down the stairs to the General. She opened the letter and gave a short nod, the messenger flits away as if she was never there.
Minutes later the Fatui agents that normally crowded the lantern-lit streets below began to leave hurriedly. The winds always picks up before the first rain hits the ground. Overhead what you could only assume were the Adepti made their way across the sky towards the Jade Chamber floating proudly.
You hoped Qiqi and Baizhu had also seen the growing tensions and gotten themselves to a safe place.
You had escaped one storm in Mondstadt only to end up trapped in another, how cruel fate can be. You bit the inside of your cheek until you could feel the metallic taste of blood. You needed to do something, and quickly. You wondered what Marianne would do in your position, would she root herself or fly away?
There was a chance that the Millelith knew you were affiliated with the Fatui. There was a chance the Knights had come to aid Liyue.
The paranoia bloomed in your chest, you tried to suck air in but it was too saturated with salt water. Surveying the streets below again the glints of silver armour drew you in. A flash of navy hair. You turned your heel and slammed the balcony doors behind you. Your back hit the wall and you slid down gasping for breath.
The panic drew in, rotting your insides, lodging itself into every hidden corner of your body.
You drew your catalyst from subspace clutching it tight with shaky hands against your chest. You could fight, not very well but enough to get away. The thought gave you some comfort but you could still feel the eyes of not only The Order but also The Millelith scorching into your back.
Even the walls in Liyue have ears
Childe said he would find you but you just knew that he wouldn't leave The Golden House unscathed. You don’t know exactly what he has up his sleeve but it couldn’t be good. Childe becomes Tartaglia.
The first drop of water ricochets on the ground.
Quickly setting your mind to it you grabbed the bag of letters Childe had left you with and you rushed out of the apartment. You navigate your way across Liyue Harbours red lacquered walkways to the ground. The Millelith now crowded every part of the city, weapons at the ready. Children being dragged along by a parent to the safety of their homes. Shopkeeps hurriedly packing up their stores for the day.
If you ran you could reach the Golden House in an hour. The clouds gathered, the light of the sun slowly fading away. The storm hits the shore.
Your lungs burnt for air and you came to a stop in front of the sealed doors, gleaming in all its opulence. You could already hear the fierce sounds of battle, you pushed your way past the doors only to find the floor had caved in, you stumbled back up onto the stairs. Piles of mora clattered downwards like a waterfall.  On the opposite end The Exuvia lay, bronze coils lying lifelessly as a golden shield protected the deceased god. His eyes half lidded and absent, despite being dead he still held enough power to make you want to bask in reverence.
The smell hit you before you laid eyes on it. A great abyssal creature fought with glee, electro singing every bit of the arena below. You tried not to gag the smell of decay and rot infesting the shining glory of the Golden House. You coughed to keep it all down.
It flew across the arena unleashing an unrelenting barrage of attacks, a cape made of stars floating behind it. A giant dead eye sat in the centre of its face.
Aether stood unperturbed returning each strike with trained precision, Geo and Anemo infusing every attack. Paimon shouting at the beast, you couldn't make much out aside from the words didn’t and gnosis .
The beast roared with blind fury. Everything blurred. Your fingers tightened on the legs of a stair, you felt lightheaded the sound below becoming a singular roar. You felt your throat close, bile building up. Acid singed the back of your throat, ears ringing.
You tried to get up but your body collapsed back down, through sheer force of will you kept the vomit down and with your arms shaking and got up and crawled to the edge.
Now was not the time to give into fear. Now was not the time to run.
Everything atom in your body urged you to leave this place but you rooted yourself, perched above the spectacle below. You blinked away the tears and bit your tongue.
Now, seeing the dance through new eyes. The beast held a two bladed spear that quickly transformed into a bow and back. Its attacks were quick and precise, aiming to kill.
It flashed across the area once again, floating for a second. A vortex of water formed, circling around its eye, a moment later a giant whale made of pure hydro burst out of the floor. Its call echoing off the chambers walls in a beautifully haunting sound. One that would burn itself into your memory. It arched slowly turning before it crashed to the floor sending a veritable tsunami of water Aethers way.
You, now a spectator to this gladiatorial waltz, perched above the jagged floor, with nothing that you could do to help. You leaned over the edge to get a better birds-eye view. Water splashed onto your face but you felt no inclination to wipe it off.
Aether was knocked back, you held your breath as he steadied himself and charged again. Weaving in and out of the abomination's attacks, sprinting across the battlefield with the power of Anemo, slowly whittling the thing down to its bones.
That thing was without a doubt Tartaglia, the spear, the bow, Monoceros Caeli. But how did Tartaglia become that abyssal creature? What did he do to himself to transform into that?
Aether let out a piercing cry that shot through your body as he slashed Tartaglia right across the chest. To your surprise he didn't let out any sound, he just fell to the ground clutching the wound.
After a second he pushed himself back up by one arm, panting from exhaustion. Abyssal waste melted off him soaking into the solid ground beneath him. The scent lingers.
“Hah, well then... time to cool off. It seems the burden of the Foul Legacy Transformation was too great for my body.”
He heaved out with what looked like great difficulty. He scrunches his brow and grits drawing himself up to one knee.
“I lacked the opportunity to think this through... And now that I consider the matter more carefully” he takes another breath in.
“You never had any chance of beating me to the Gnosis. You had no connection to the Gnosis, no matter where it had been taken.”
“That's right! We tried to tell you we didn't take it!” Paimon yells in frustration
“Your show of ability today far surpasses that of Signora's initial assessment of you in Mondstadt. Tell me, how could that be?” He seemed singularly focused on Aether, there was a slight edge to his voice, a growing annoyance
Aether stood above the defeated Harbinger with his sword still brandished “Because I'm gradually restoring my former powers”
“You already know the answer, don't you? I can see it in your eyes. But if that is a secret you wish to keep, I guess I'll just have to curb my curiosity.” Tartaglia draws himself back up to his full height again, the front of his grey suit slowly staining with blood.
“The battle has already left me satisfied. Anyone who strives as I do to grow stronger shall be called a friend, even if our friendship can only be shown in battle against one another.”
“Pretty sure that's not the normal way to make friends.” Aether said, disdain seeping into his voice
Tartaglia’s tone shifted into that of a more dangerous one, the hint of an edge becoming a blade.
“Unfortunately, I must bring this amiable conversation to an end. My quest still beckons. Given the Gnosis wasn't taken by anyone, then we must look once again to the beginning.”
He glances towards the great dragon “Perhaps it was never in the Exuvia to begin with. In fact, it might be that the Exuvia was just a diversion of sorts.”
“So you mean that… Rex Lapis still lives?”
Your eyes widened and you slapped a hand over your mouth to cover the gasp. You had seen him careen out of the sky. Tartaglia glanced upwards to see your figure lurking above, he gives no indication that he knows you're there.
“Yes, it appears so. Interesting to say the least. It seems that the guardian deity of the capital of commerce is also well-versed in the little manoeuvres beyond the boundaries of contracts. As such, we must now look to our backup plan.”
No, he said he didn’t want to do that. Your fingers tightened on the ledge. Childe continued as he began to pace around as it he wasn’t bleeding out.
“I had hoped it would never come to this, for the weak will be swept away in the process. The truth is, the world belongs to those who pursue strength.” He gave another quick glance in your direction before focusing on Aether again.
“I seldom willingly involve myself with the weak. Unfortunately, we cannot be picky about our methods as Fatui Harbingers. Children must all learn to eat their vegetables sometime.”
“So, what are you planning to do?” Paimon asked. You knew what he was about to say, you wished he wouldn't, the fool, so blinded by his devotion.
“I will awaken the god that lies dormant beneath Guyun Stone Forest.” Childe announced, walking towards the centre so the light fell directly over him.
“Osial, Overlord of the Vortex, who was defeated by Morax the Geo Archon in the Archon War, and who has remained pinned beneath the waves by the Geo Archon's stone spears ever since.”
He moves his mask from being perched on his head to over his face. In the stark light he was not just the man you had gotten to know, he had been armoured into a beast. The 11th Harbinger.
The third face of this man.
“If such an ancient god were to be unleashed upon Liyue Harbour, defenceless without the protection of its deity…”
He cocked his head, the words he had told you before, you couldn't tell what he was thinking anymore.
“Do you think the cunning Rex Lapis would just stand aloof and watch the ensuing destruction?”
Childe summons a number of Sigils which begin to circle him like a vortex, becoming a golden blur. You were now leaning so far over the edge you could fall over if you moved anymore.
“With the power of so many Sigils of Permission concentrated in one place, along with that which was bestowed upon me as a Harbinger by our Tsaritsa... Breaking the subduing might of the Geo Archon's spears for a time should be no obstacle.” He gleefully says
The light rain transformed into a storm, bullets of rain falling through the broken glass of the ceiling soaking everyone.
“Using the powers of ancient gods in such a situation fails to interest me and is largely against my principles. But knowing that such an action will not only force the Geo Archon to show its hand, but you as well... That makes matters a little more intriguing.”
You try not to snicker. At least he's consistent. It became increasingly clear that you would need to question him after this is over.
“Let's see, will the nation that has lost its deity be swallowed up by an ancient malice once more? If you wish to drown together with the people of Liyue, You're free to stay and enjoy the show!”
Tartaglia raises his arm and transforms himself into a pure trail of hydro and ascends spiralling out of the broken ceiling, the sigils following behind him, leaving a trail of light to follow.
You watched the man leave, an unfamiliar feeling filled the whole of you, not rage, not fear, not confusion but a mix of all three. You just knew it was time to fill your end of the contract, no man would come out of this unscathed. Especially one as reckless as Tartaglia.
Gritting your teeth you leaned back and stood up, no longer caring for the two beings below.
You knew how to do it in theory, the final form of elemental mastery. There was no other way to get out of here quick enough to still be able to track him down. You took advantage of the storm soaking you and flexed your fingers gathering the water falling from the sky around you, becoming one with it.
A sensation of nothingness followed by one of harmony. You pushed yourself against the force of the storm into the sky only to see the multi headed beast. Its belly was glowing as its heads unleashed an uncanny call into the atmosphere, almost like it was calling Rex Lapis himself to try and tie it down underneath the waves again.
You couldn't quite see what was going on but the shock of seeing Osial unleashed, seeing him taunt an Archon was enough for you to crash into the ground below.
Pain speared through your shoulder, you let out a strangled scream as you clutched it. You could see the blood seep through the mud. You sat there numb for a few seconds, head resting on a wall as you sucked in air through gritted teeth, tears mixing with the rain. Adrenaline surged through your body numbing the pain for a few minutes, giving you just enough clarity to act.
You ripped off a part of your skirt off and tore it in two. Taking advantage of the rain you cleaned the mud off, allowing yourself to gasp at the pain. With the other piece you applied pressure and tied it around your shoulder. Not the best but it’ll have to do. You rolled it, at least it wasn't completely broken.
Orienting yourself you looked towards the east only to see writhing beasts and the cries of people. You had somehow landed on the Jade Chamber. How was a question for another time.
Scrambling up you looked around. Infront were the Qixing and the Adepti firing shots out of ballista. Aether, Ningguang and two unfamiliar women held the invading Fatui at bay. Elemental energy overwhelmed the air making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
He must have ordered them to intercept the attack and hold The Qixing and Adepti out for long enough for Rex Lapis to miraculously appear. You doubted he would show himself. You didn't know what was going on or what a gnosis was but Rex Lapis looked about ready to rot when you saw him.
Looking frantically below for Tartaglia you spotted a sheen of gold just outside the Harbour. You narrowed your eyes and hoped it was the right person. Gathering your remaining courage, you looked downwards. Only one way. You gathered the storm once again and jumped.
You were hurtling towards the ground in pure elemental form, the rush of fear and pure thrill mixed in your chest. Within a few seconds you had hit the ground. You rain through the soaked grass ignoring the pain.
You stopped in your tracks as Osial stilled, three of its heads converging to form a beam of light into the sky gathering its power.
Out of the corner of your eye you see Tartaglia making his way towards the city, sigils still circling around him. Through the sheets of rain you could almost see a limp.
“Tartaglia!” you called out as you ran towards him. He stopped, his eyes widening at the sight of you.
“H-How! you were in the Golden house, you should be far away and somewhere safe”
You reached him, hooking his arm across your shoulders to help him walk. You grunted from the pain shooting through your shoulder at light speed. He still stunk of the abyss.
“Doesn't matter, we signed a contract and now it's time I helped you”
“You should hate me”
“That's to talk about later, right now we need to get you out of here” you moved, wanting to get to somewhere where there was relative safety.
He fell to the ground taking you down with him. Not a moment later a great flash of light took you by surprise. Childe grabbed the back of your head and pushed you down to the ground with him just as a shockwave winds the both of you.
Osail had fallen along with the Jade Chamber.
You lay on the ground with him for a few moments, panting as the rain stopped, sun shining through the dense cover of clouds. The sigils disappeared around him.
You narrowed your eyes and sat up to lean over Childe who was sprawled flat on his back, the both of you soaked to the bone.
“Care to explain what the fuck I just saw” part of you wanted to kick him in the ribs and leave after the stunt he just pulled.
“Which part of it?” he grunts back
“All of it” your clutch your shoulder again
Childe sighed and sat up on his elbows. His eyes had smears of purple and blue beneath him, his pale skin seemed white now.
“The beast that you saw is a result of abyssal corruption. I fell into the abyss when I was fourteen for three months and met my Master, Skirk. She moulded me into who I am today. Before that I was just a kid, albeit a little shy, but after that… there was a battle-lust growing inside of the that couldn't be quenched”
Childe glanced away from you and coughed. He lay back down on his back, clearly too exhausted to continue sitting up.
“That form - Foul Legacy, it takes a lot out of me, which is why I wanted you here so my troops didn’t have to see me like this. I’m their leader and I will not let them lay eyes on me when I’m so weak” He spat the last word out like it rotted in his mouth.
“So you did this for what? Your ego? Your pride?” You sharply question him
“No, I did it to keep the Fatui strong, if it was for my ego you wouldn't be here now would you?”
“And what about all the electro you were using? And while I’m at it what on Teyvat is a gnosis”
Childe unhooks his vision from his belt and flips it to reveal a purple gem with the Fatui insignia inlaid.
“A delusion, it mimics the power of a vision without Celestia's blessing”
He pressed his lips together in a thin line. “A gnosis… its an Archons connection to Celestia, it acts like an amplifier to their existing powers”
You picked up the delusion from his palm, it somehow felt deeply unsettling and yet so right to hold such a small instrument of blasphemy against the creators of the world. You felt a smile tug at the edge of your lips
Every part of you was conflicted about Childe, you couldn't look at him without disgust. He tried to eliminate a whole city to get what he wanted. Yet you also wanted to follow him. Join in his aspiration for power in the face of immovable gods. But if you did that would mean sacrificing your freedom, the one thing that had gotten you tangled with him in the first place.
“Y/N, you should hate me for what I did”
“I-I do and I don't. You tried to drown a whole city and yet…”
“Then why do you stick by me”
“...because much like you, I want to have power. I don't know what that means or what that looks like but if it means being with you then so be it.”
“You want to shackle yourself to the Tsaritsa too?” He asked, a glint of hope sparked in his normally emotionless eyes.
“I don't know. All I know is that the gods have turned their back on their people. First the corruption in Mondstadt and now Rex Lapis failing to save his people…”
“Hah… were finally seeing eye to eye”
“Let's get you healed” You sighed, relenting to him. “Do you think you can make it to the Harbour? There's a way point a few hundred metres from here”
He coughed again, small black flecks in his phlegm. He saw your evident shock “Just abyssal remnants, it happens every time.”
You stood, helping him up with you. The two of you limped to the waypoint, the storm finally beginning to calm.

That’s (Y/N). (Y/N) (Y/M/N) Routledge. My sister is a jack of all trades. Surfing, mischief, singing, boating, fishing, you name it, she’s probably good at it. Her favorite place to be is on the surf. She’s a feisty little firecracker and I often find myself dragging her out of a sticky situation. Love her to death. She’s a hoot.
(Y/N)'s POV
“(Y/N)!” my best friend yells.
I throw my arm over my eyes and yell back, “What JJ? What could you possibly be yelling about this early in the morning?”
No response. I throw my arm down and poke my head up over the side of the hammock. Looking around I see no one and assume he’s just screwing with me. I close my eyes and throw my arm back over them. “(Y/N)!” This time I shoot up glaring around. Finally, I see the hood of the HMS Pogue up. Grumbling, I stumble out of my comfy spot and shuffle toward the dock. I can’t stop a large yawn as I spot JJ with his head buried under the hood.
I sigh rubbing the bridge of my nose, “What the fuck are you doin’, JJ?”
“Damn engine is clankin’ again,” comes his muffled reply as he fidgets with the engine.
I grab the back of his shirt and tug, “Get out of there, will ya? Before you screw something up.”
“I’m not gonna fuck it up. Hand me that wrench?” He responds pointing with his free hand. I roll my eyes and pick up the wrench, handing it to him before plopping down on the side of the boat. He fiddles around inside the engine compartment for a few moments before asking, “Where’s John B?”
“How should I know? I just woke up,” I answer, annoyance evident in my tone.
“Chill Princess. Was just askin’” he laughs.
A few moments go by of silence aside from the bumps and knocks of JJ’s tools and the soft splashing of the waves. Suddenly JJ yells, yanking his hand out of the boat’s insides and looking at it in frustration. “What’d you do?” I ask.
“Uhhhh,” he quickly hides his hand in his shirt, “Nothing just banged my hand.”
I get up from my seat and shuffle toward him. I gently tug his hand into view and spot a large gash across the back of his hand. He hisses as I wipe the blood away with my shirt. “I’ll go get the first aid kit.”
I clamber off the boat and make my way to the rebuilt Chateau. The first thing my brother did after the whole gold mess died down was rebuild our childhood home. Making my way to the bathroom I fish the first aid kit out of the cabinet and grab a towel from the hook. As I exit the bathroom, I bump into someone, “You’re usually not too excited to get bandaged up,” I comment, assuming it’s just JJ. The person places a gun to my stomach and puts their other hand over my mouth. I drop the supplies as I realize who it is.
“Make a single sound and I’ll shoot you,” Luke growls and I can’t help the wave of fear that rolls through me. “You’re coming with me, darlin’,” my stomach rolls. I debate my options mentally. I could try to fight him, but I have no real chance considering he’ll put a bullet in me before I can make it out the door. Before I can come up with any kind of exit strategy, he drags me out of the house and to a truck parked a good way from the house. He shoves me in the passenger seat and takes off, keeping the gun trained on me the entire time. It’s not long before we pull into a marina and he’s yanking me around again. He drags me inside a houseboat and shoves me into a small room, tying my hands before leaving.
JJ’s POV
I pause my one-handed work and drop the wrench to wipe blood away from my cut again. I look toward the house and see no sign of (Y/N. I check my phone and realize she’s been gone for a good fifteen minutes. She should’ve been back by now. I hear a truck rumble in the distance but think nothing of it as I make my way inside. “(Y/N)?” I walk through the house and finally see the first aid kit and a towel on the floor outside the bathroom, “(Y/N)!?” I yell, starting to panic. Ripping my phone out of my pocket I run outside as I dial John B’s number. It rings and rings and finally goes to voicemail. I dial again, still searching everywhere for any sign of (Y/N).
Finally he picks up, “Yo, what’s up? Got that rust bucket running yet?”
“(Y/N)’s gone,” I say, too worried to beat around the bush.
“What? What do you mean she’s gone?”
“I mean she’s gone, man. She went inside to get the first aid kit because I cut my hand up and when she didn’t come back, I went looking for her,” my voice shakes as I hurriedly explain, “I found the first aid kit and a towel on the floor but no (Y/N).”
“We’re on our way now. Sit tight, don’t do anything stupid,” John B answers, sounding panicked himself, as the line clicks dead. I throw my phone at the ground and my fist at a tree. I was right outside. What the hell happened? I should’ve gone in with her. I throw another punch at the tree as countless similar thoughts run through my head.
By the time the Twinkie turns into the driveway, I’ve beat my knuckles bloody and am sitting on the porch steps with my head in my hands. After coming to a screeching halt, John B and Sarah jump out of the van. Sarah runs over to me, checking me over and taking note of my destroyed knuckles. John B on the other hand rushes inside and starts yelling for his sister. When he emerges from the Chateau, he’s frantic. Sarah stands and places her hand on his shoulder, “Just sit down and call Shoop.” She walks inside and returns soon after with a first aid kit.
“I need to file a missing person's report,” John B states as Sarah takes a seat beside me and holds her hand out to me, expecting me to give her mine. “(Y/N) Routledge. She was last seen wearing,” he pauses and looks at me as he whispers, “What was she wearing?” I don’t have time to answer, “She was last seen like thirty minutes ago.” Having cleaned them of blood, Sarah wraps my hands in gauze as John B stands abruptly, “What do you mean I can’t file yet? She’s my sister!” He listens for a second as Sarah finishes with my bandages. “I don’t give a damn if it hasn’t been twenty-four hours. You know what? Put Shoop on. Let me talk to Shoop.” He removes his phone from his ear and glares at it, “They hung up.” His phone joins mine in the grass as he plops down beside me, dropping his head into his hands.
“You both just need to breathe for a sec, okay? We’ll find her. We’ll round everyone up and we’ll get her back,” Sarah states trying to calm us down. She pulls out her phone and types out a short message before returning her attention to us, “It’s gonna be okay.”
Feeling defeated I mumble, “‘Preciate the positivity but we don’t even know who took her.”
“We can’t just sit here,” John B firmly states, standing to return inside, probably in search of clues.
I drop my head back into my hands, yanking on my hair, “Fuck!” Sarah places her hand on my shoulder. “If I had gone inside with her instead of being focused on that damn boat- “
Sarah doesn’t let me finish, “Don’t you dare. Don’t start blaming yourself. You had no idea.”
John B returns, plopping back into his seat and assuming a position that copies mine. The three of us sit in silence for a while. Kie, Pope, and Cleo arrive and make their way to us. “What’s going on? Where’s (Y/N)?” Pope asks.
John B and I don’t bother to look up, so Sarah responds, “She’s missing.” Pope throws his hands up to his head and takes a few steps back
“Are you sure? Sure she’s not just out doing (Y/N) stuff?” Cleo questions, fiddling with her knife.
“We’re sure. She went inside to get a first aid kit for JJ and didn’t come back out,” Sarah answers.
“Did you call the police?” Kie inquires, taking a seat beside Sarah.
“Of course, I called the cops Kie. They said we can’t file a report until she’s been missing 24 hours and wouldn’t let me talk to Shoop,” John B shoots back, sounding a bit harsh.
Before anyone else can say a word, my phone starts ringing from the weeds. I jump up and run over, “It could be her.” I pick it up and my hope falters. An unknown number is there where it should say Pogue Princess. I answer it anyway, “He-hello?”
“I want $100,000 in cash or you’ll never see your little girlfriend again,” comes a voice I hoped to never hear again, Luke.
I quickly run back over to the others and put my phone on speaker, “If you hurt her, I swear- “
Sarah pulls her phone out to record as soon as he starts to respond, “You swear? Swear what? What are you gonna do boy?” Shock plasters everyone’s features but he’s not done, “$100k in cash for your girl. You know what? Tell that Routledge boy he owes $100k too. And don’t even think about running to Shoop, soon as I catch wind of him, I’m putting a bullet between her pretty little eyes.” As he hangs up, Sarah ends the video and starts toward the van.
“Where’re you going?” John B inquires as I stand there frozen in shock and fear.
“We can take this video to Shoop and then he has no choice than to help us find her,” she answers.
This shakes me back to reality, “No! He’ll kill her.”
“He won’t if he has no clue. The police are trained for this sort of thing.”
“Sarah, we’ll find her and then send Shoop after him. I’m not risking my sister’s life,” John B interjects.
Sarah looks at us, silently begging us to do what she thinks is the right thing. Having no such luck, she looks to the other three hoping for backup.
Cleo nods her head as Pope speaks up, “I’m kind of with Sarah here.”
Kie shrugs, “She’s right They’re trained for this. We’re not.” John B and I look at each other knowing we’re outnumbered and we all head for the Twinkie.

lesbianrobin fic scraps #3: the working title for this one was a drake and josh reference
What does getting the guest room ready even mean?
The guest room is right across from Steve's. It has that same matching wallpaper and curtains thing going that his bedroom does, just in pale yellow flowers rather than black and white plaid. He's pretty sure it was supposed to be a nursery, but that never happened. Mom blamed Dad and Dad blamed Steve. According to Dad, Steve just sucked so bad they never wanted to try again. According to Mom, Dad’s an evil asshole who wouldn’t let her have all the babies she wanted. Sometimes when things had been good for a little while, they’d change the story, that they tried for awhile and it just didn’t pan out, or that they were perfectly content with their one lovely boy and never even considered having more, but of course they always lied in front of each other and Steve knew better than to trust the bullshit they fed him whenever they insisted on playing the happy family. Both of them were only ever honest with Steve when nobody else was around.
The whole thing’s ironic. That’s what irony is, right? Dad never wanted the girl that Mom swore would save their marriage, and now the second she’s gone he’s changed his mind.
Dad said Maxine is twelve. That’s the same age as Mike and all his little friends, which means that she’s, like, a whole person with opinions and she’ll probably be just as miserable about the situation as Steve is. He is miserable, right? He doesn’t want this. He doesn’t need strangers in his house acting like they’re family. Dad’s new wife is either just as shitty as he is or she’s too good for him, and Steve’s not exactly thrilled about either prospect. How evil can he be? Stealing some poor woman and her daughter away from sun and sand only to make them rot in Hawkins. Maybe the lady’s an asshole or an idiot, but her kid’s just a kid. Like Will Byers. Living her life and then one day she just gets dragged to hell.
Maybe it’s just his own shitty memories making everything look shitty, but this room is depressing. Steve wouldn’t want to live here. His room can be kind of depressing, too, but at least it’s his. He's used to it, he doesn't need to love it. Maxine should love her bedroom, but she won't unless he makes some serious changes. The bedding in here’s all wrong for a kid. Plain white sheets and a big ruffled comforter with a mountain of fancy throw pillows. Steve would have felt like he was staying at his grandma’s house if he had to sleep in that when he was twelve. There’s a heavy vase with fake, dusty flowers on the desk, gold sconces on the wall on either side of the headboard, and a random porcelain doll propped up in the antique chair in the corner.
Steve takes down the sconces. There are big nails sticking out, so he’ll have to find something else to go there, because he has no clue how to patch holes in walls. Maybe, like, shelves? A clock on one and some kind of art hanging on the other? Maybe he could just get an empty frame and then she could get a poster of whatever stuff she likes to put in it. While he's at it, he should probably get some things for the bathroom, too. He's never shared a bathroom with anyone before. Should he get a new toothbrush holder? The one he has now is kind of old and gross. He grabs the creepy doll, leaves the bedroom, and stuffs the doll and the sconces into the hall closet. It's full of stuff that Mom keeps swearing she'll pick up someday soon.
It's weird to hate his mom. He doesn't have much practice at it, but he's getting there. She took almost everything in the living room and all the art on their walls. Steve always assumed that if she decided to finally leave, she'd take him too.
At least he already has a lot of practice at being wrong.
For once when he leaves the house with his dad's credit card and little else, he actually has a reason. Usually it's just to get out. It's supposed to be a forty-five minute drive to the mall, but rain starts pouring down halfway there and it ends up taking a little over an hour because nobody knows how to fucking drive. He's lucky enough to snag a spot right outside the Sears entrance and run inside without getting completely drenched, though his shoes won't stop squeaking on the tile.
He doesn't have the time or really know how to replace wallpaper, so he's gotta work with the yellow flowers. Steve's always liked yellow. It can be hard to pull off in clothing form, but it reminds him of sunshine and dandelions and bananas and a million other awesome things that Maxine hopefully likes too. But what if she doesn't? He can't lean into the yellow too hard.
The bedding has to come first. It's the center of the room, and he can pick other stuff based on whatever will match it. Steve walks down the aisle and frowns. The sets all just look like old lady shit. Why does everything have to have flowers or ruffles on it or cost, like, a thousand dollars? The colors are all wrong, too. So many pinks, and he knows from Nancy that people just assume girls will like pink and then drown them in it, so he can't do that to Maxine. He looks around and sees the next aisle: KIDS' BEDDING. Thank fuckin' god.
Some of this stuff is terrible, too, covered in teddy bears and Rainbow Brite, but some of the ones marked TEEN BED SET are alright. One of them has skateboards all over it. Steve considers it for a second, because skateboarding is pretty cool, but it doesn't match the wallpaper at all and it's kind of too specific for a kid he's never met. Maybe she broke her arm skateboarding once and now she has skateboard trauma.

52 - Dark Raelyn
Tumblr media
Part 53
Family is More than Blood
@secretdreamlandmentality
Raelyn’s pov
Twirling the tip of the hunting knife blade on the wooden nightstand in silence staring at the hybrid that was standing before me as my husband. He had been just staring at me for the last few minutes. “I can only assume you’re silent means that you agree with what I have said.”
“Quite the opposite actually. My silence towards you is because you are not the woman I married.” He growled at me.
Rolling my eyes and scoffing back at him. “I think biology and a blood test would prove that sentence wrong.”
“Look whoever you are. I want nothing you can offer me.” He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest.
Swinging my legs over the side of the bed I huffed getting up to my feet. I stride up to him grabbing his shoulders and digging my fingernails in them where he winced just a little bit. “Listen here Niklaus Mikaelson I know you. I know that you want to think that the weak and innocent Raelyn is still inside of me. But she's not. She’s gone.”
“That’s not true, witch. Now if you wish to have me give into your demands I suggest that you start telling me them. Because frankly I am in no mood for a guessing game.” He stepped away from me.
Tapping my fingers on my chin I paused in thought trying to think of a moment where he was close to giving into some sliver of darkness. It didn’t matter whether it was her witch side or vampire side. The desire was there regardless and that is what I was currently feeding off. “Are you sure there were no feelings at all when the weaker me had her humanity off?”
“What the hell are you talking about?” He snapped at me dropping his arms down at his sides.
Vamping into his face I grabbed the sides of his face pushing his forehead against my own. “You forget that I am a part of the Rae you love, meaning I have the same access to all her memories just like you do.” Closing my eyes I forced his mind to view the moment back at the bar when Jeremy was a newbie vampire hunter.
Klaus pushed the door open for me to see a whole bar filled with people and I could hear all their hearts ringing in my ear. “Why bring me here if you know I will drain them dry?”
“Because I have already fed them my blood. So when you kill them…” He trailed off with a smirk on his face watching my reaction.
Wrapping my arms around his neck I kissed him for the first since I had turned into a hybrid. “They will be in transition to be vampires. You are brilliant and so hot right now. I’d say I always had a thing for the bad boys.”
“I knew that about you before you turned, Raelyn. Now before the boys get here I suggest that we start this little show. Ladies first.” He gestured with his hands out in front of him before I vamped forward onto a guys back sinking my fangs into his neck draining him quickly.
Grabbing two girls by their necks I held them down drinking from one after the others throwing my hair around in a mess. It all became too much for me to not just see blood everywhere where I started vamping around like a madwoman. Klaus the whole time was just standing by the bar watching both turned on and sick to his stomach by how much his former witch was enjoying herself. He never imagined this fate for his love. Losing her twin brother took more of a toll on her then he was ever capable of understanding.
Ripping my fangs into half of their necks I pulled back letting blood drip down my chin. He reached up, taking some off of me moving his other hand to my neck. I watched his eyes flash gold nuzzling his nose into my neck whispering. "I want you to know that it pains me to see you like this. I want nothing more than to find pleasure seeing you like this. But my heart can’t allow that in.”
“You only feel horrible because you have your humanity on. So why not just turn it off with me huh. We’ve got time before these babies come out of my belly. So turn it off with me, together forever." I smirked before he hooked my legs around my waist, vamping me against the wall kissing me hungrily. Everything felt right, his hands and lips on mine. Blood mixing together where he started kissing my neck slowly. I gasped, gripping his locks in my fingers, throwing my head back.
“Urgh! That means nothing to what you're toying with me about.” He harshly pushed me backwards away from him. His eyes glowing golden with me smirking directly at the hybrid in front of me.
Tilting my head to the side I could feel he was lying to me. The big bad hybrid I knew years ago was in there. He just needed to remember what he made the world believe he was. “You are a terrible liar, Mikaelson. You can’t tell me that you feel nothing when I do this…” I held his face tightly in my hands before pressing my lips up against his own.
At first he was hesitant and tried to pull away yet I got the result I wanted when he kissed me back. He moved his arms quickly around my waist pushing my body as close to his as possible. I smiled into it threading my fingers into the dirty curly locks of blonde tugging on them until he moaned. “Rae!”
“There you go. It’s me.” I mumbled breaking the kiss wrapping my arms around his neck deepening the kiss.
He broke the kiss briefly when his phone started going off getting distracted. “Who is it?”
“Did you wake Raelyn yet?” I could hear Rebekah's voice through the phone.
He answered her. “She woke up on her own. She's rather different though - not that I'm complaining..” Wrapping my arms around his neck I buried my face in his shoulders trying to distract him and it was clearly working.
“Different how, Nik. She didn't turn off her humanity again did she?” Rebekah asked sharply.
He growled into the phone following my movements slowly turning around to face me. Dark Raelyn sways her hips back and forth at me, reaching for the bottom of her shirt, dropping it on the floor leaving her in a bra and jeans with her boots. “Rebekah, she consumed the dark magic in the prison world. She isn't herself…but I have to go.”
“What no!” She cried.
I caught wind of Elijah's voice when he tossed his phone onto the bed. “Niklaus!”
“You know telling them about little old me won't end well. They'll come here.” I walk forward to him, draping my arms over his shoulders.
My husband clicked his tongue yanking me against his by the loop of my jeans and I jumped wrapped my arms around his waist. “I don't want to care for you because you're not her. But I can't help myself.”
“You like to be in control, you've told me.”
“Not so much anymore.” He pointed out.
“I'm not looking to overpower you, Klaus. I just want you to embrace this side of me. I mean honestly have you never imagined what it might be like to be a true vampire with me. Have you never imagined what it would feel like being rippers together or breaking all the furniture in the room hmm?”
Klaus blinked his eyes a couple of times. He still held me up by my thighs against his chest. “Raelyn, I am flattered by this other side of you. But its not the woman I married. I want her back, always and forever.”
“Come on just give me a chance. I know deep down you've considered it once or twice. So tonight let's see where this takes us and if tomorrow comes and you still don’t like it then I'll have to try harder.” I shrugged my shoulders giving him the puppy dog eyes, returning my eyes back to their normal color briefly.
Klaus wasted only a second before the wolf and vampire inside of him couldn't last any longer. He crashed his lips down to mine hungrily. I responded back with the same force, threading my fingers into the dirty locks for the second time. “I must admit I have been intrigued at the thought of breaking all the furniture.”
“The mansion has been needed an upgrade.” I broke the kiss and the next thing I knew I was on my back on our king size bed. He leaned down capturing my lips with his and our clothes got thrown around faster than they ever had.
Comments really appreciated ❤️
