The more I look into Canon Hizashi and learn more about him, the more I love him. I know others aren’t crazy about him and prefer the Fanon Hizashi, but canon Mic really resonates with me more. He tries so hard to be cool, but he’s such an anxious bean he comes off as a lovable dork. He loves to entertain but gets panicked when surprising things happen. (No one will believe me, but Mic is actually the straight man to most characters. I’m not even kidding! It’s rare, but if you put him with some crazier who has more energy and Mic is completely out of his depth, it’s so cute. It’s really a shame they’re blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments.) And he just loves the people around him so much! He really tries to act as a fun big brother to everyone he likes. And he’s just the most supportive character. I mean it, you can go through the entire manga, and you won’t find a better pal than Hizashi! And there’s so much more. I can’t wait to share it all with ya’ll because the man is amazing!

sydney's the most mischievous bastard out of all of them. Your watch is missing? In his nest. Your necklace? His nest aswell. Your hat? He's wearing it. You're never getting it back. He sees something shiny, it's in his little claws. Like all the avian hybrids, his arms are wings and he's covered in feathers. Having a human face with little beak like lips. His legs are bird legs. Black eyes staring at you from his nest in a tree. Be careful where you step after any surprise snow in's. He's probably burying himself in it. 5'4

★ Evangeline the peahen

The elegant, sophisticated, coy, angelic Evangeline. Gabriel's mate but she despises his guts, similar to princess, she much prefers you. Often dragging you to their nest and squabbling with Gabriel when he tried taking you away. She may not be as pretty as he is outside, but she certainly is Inside. Proudly showing off her brown little feathers. 5'6 brown straight hair, black eyes and a little pale

she's sydney's little partner in crime, but lately she's mellowed out more. Now preferring to watch the koi mers swim around and munch on some chips she stole from the main house. often seen in the fields with the cows and bulls, he's quiet and prefers to watch. Hopping around quickly and pecking things that catch his eye. There's not much to say about him since he keeps to himself alot, but he does seem to like the biscuits you bring for him.

★ simon the tyto alba

Simon is deaf and mute, having been found wandering around the farm as a little chick. Now the farmers are looking for any way to help him with his hearing long term, but he seems to have adjusted to looking for any vibrations on the ground. Pale and white hair,black eyes, very pointy beak like lips

★ the koimer quintuplets

There's nothing much different between the quintuplets except their different patterns. Just that tancho is the leader and more mature, Kiko is more curious and childish, Hime is sweet and reserved, tsu is a chatterbox and humble, koromo is loud and nosy

★ mason the "lake monster" (crocodile)

Mason is like an older brother figure for the quintuplets, teaching them Little bits of English and watching you interact with them from the depths of the lake or hidden behind some underwater trees in the lake. You may not always see him, but he's always there. Silently watching. Messy grungy hair, green eyes, and has a light tan. 6'4

Inomata’s Design Notes & Memories - Destiny Cast

Some notes:

I’ve linked images of each thing she references below.

Unlike the first batch of Eternia characters I previously posted, these were in Japanese. And unlike the Destiny 2 ones I translated, she talks about her experiences with the characters in the game and not just her design processes!

The book in question is this one.

What I think about most when designing characters is their colors and the components to their look. The characters are displayed as such small sprites, so in order to be able to differentiate them from each other, I give each of them a specific color palette and unique accessories to each of their outfits.

Stahn’s thing was his scarf. I also made sure his shoulder pads, gloves, and boots looked huge.

Rutee is supposed to be a thief, so I made her look a bit like a ninja. I didn’t want her to look too girly, so I gave her shorts and exposed her navel. For colors I went with red and black, since that’s a distinctive palette. Whenever I’d do boss battles, she’d always be joyfully picking 2 gald off the ground instead of healing my very low HP characters (laughs). I thought about removing her from my party to prevent this, but then I’d feel bad, and it just made me think “this is all part of her plot” (laughs).

Philia is a priestess through and through. I went for white and green to give her an earthly feel (laughs). Her glasses and braids were a strong request from Namco. I came up with designs for her, but they didn’t have the glasses or braids, so they were repurposed for the priests in Straylize Temple. It was the basis for Philia’s design as well as Elraine’s in the sequel. Philia has her eye on Stahn, but he eats too much and he oversleeps. I feel like they’d work out better if Philia was more the assertive type herself (laughs).

Woodrow is an archetypical handsome man, so I didn’t have much to stress about when designing him. He’s a king, so I wished he had a stronger atmosphere behind him. I almost never used him when playing the game though (laughs). When you break into Dycroft, I thought, “it’d be really cool in a narrative sense to use him here, but he’s just so weak”. But you get special dialogue if you take him along, so I went “tsk” and brought him anyway. “Just stick to the backlines and don’t die” (laughs).

Leon’s really easy to draw, so again I didn’t have much to stress about when drawing him. He has a princely vibe to him, so I gave him white tights, but everyone was taken back by it! I thought, “is it that weird?” and ended up making them less tight fitting (laughs). He acts a bit snobbish, gets seasick easily and refuses to eat vegetables, so he really crosses off a lot on the “young master” list. He’s also really fun to use in battle (laughs). He has a really low defense stat but he hits fast, so it’s crucial that you string your combos together. When paired with Stahn, if you can isolate your bosses in the far side of the screen, they go down quite fast. Then I see the popup that Rutee’s picking gald off the floor again and I just use healing items on him (laughs).

I wanted to make Chelsea cute and small, so I based her image off of little birds. I gave her a palette of pink, green and blue, and made her hair look like a cockatoo or parrot. Her bloomers look like a paper lantern and I find them quite cute (laughs). Her life story makes me want to cry though. She’s fine and all in the first game, but in the sequel, she’s still wearing those bloomers from when she was a kid, living all alone on a snowy mountain. And if you go through her drawers, you can take something that Woodrow gave to her. I felt so bad, I thought “even though it’s so out of the way, I’ll go buy all the items you need!” (laughs). Then she makes all of these bows for you, but by then, I’d already enhanced my weapons a lot… But I felt so bad that I never Refined them and thought, “I’ll keep these on me forever” (laughs).

Johnny’s original idea was “troubadour,” but as the story progressed and I gave him his hat and all sorts of plumes, he came out a bit comical (laughs). He’s a really fun character to have in your party though, and I fell in love with him right away. I love that his tone-deafness does physical damage to the enemies (laughs).

With the Swordians, they have the will of humans and I wanted to incorporate that into their designs, but it didn’t seem to fit so I went for something more inorganic. Berselius alone has a creepy aura to him, and when Destiny 2 came around I thought “But his owner is such a nice person! Is it really okay for him to have such a creepy design?” but then I thought well, maybe Harold just likes things that way (laughs).

Thor isn't one to show a lot of feelings, but his girlfriend always knows when he's not well.

The only way to tell that Thor is sad is to look into his eyes, his eyelids become more droopy and his eyes lose their shine, as if he is crying.

He loves it when his beloved gives him kisses on the forehead and hugs, her perfume calms him and she's the only one who can make him smile

He'll just accept your hug, snuggling in your arms while you comfort him with your cuddles and forehead kisses until he gets better.

Hades 💀

Another who doesn't show many emotions.

The King of the Underworld doesn't talk when he's sad, but it's easy to tell by his drooping head, his distant gaze and the way he caresses his cockatoo in a rather lazy way.

At first he'll pretend it's no big deal, but once you notice his behavior and go to comfort him, Hades won't let you leave anytime soon.

Unlike Thor, Hades holds you in his arms, burying his face in your hair or your neck, smelling his Queen's scent as he calms down.

As soon as you leave he will start to vent to his cockatoo, talking about you 💙

Heracles 🦁

Oh, poor boy. He is the most expressive of all

Heracles doesn't hide his emotions and he usually goes after you for comfort, hugging you tightly and letting his emotions out, even crying depending on the problem.

Then he'll stay quiet in the hug, a pout on his lips as he holds you like a puppy...

He is absolutely over the moon with the kisses you give him on the forehead and your hugs!!

Congratulations, now you have this demigod wrapped around your fingertip, and Ares has his best friend telling him how amazing his princess (you) are!! 🧡

“A snake and a spider, huh?” Esme stares at him pointedly, both eyebrows raised.  “Really…”

Eyes sparkling, Millie covers her mouth with both hands and giggles into them.  “Ooops.”

Grooming routine Zee vs Jack?

At home, Zee has a gentler climate and long hair. She doesn't want to wash her curls daily, but even so, she goes through sooooo much shampoo and conditioner. She wears her hair in a lot of braids and other protective styles. When she was younger, she wore her braids in elaborate styles because her hair went down to her knees until the 1910s. She works hard to keep it from being salt damaged when she’s living near the beach. So shower, braid, sleep, wake up, wash face, style hair, put on sunscreen and maybe some makeup because she was raised in the Victorian era and ye olde whore-rouge can still feel a bit cheeky.

She rolled it into curlers in various styles from the 1930s-1960s. When she was little, there weren’t many products available, so it’d be a lot easier now. Brighid and Matt would braid her hair before she was old enough for it to be pinned up, and she saved his curls from the shears when he got shot and hospitalized after Passchendaele. It was common to cut people's hair when they were ill in the 19th century, but her hair has a lot of significance to her and her first culture, so when she was sick (it's the 19th century, there weren't many vaccines yet) everyone took turns brushing, washing, oiling and braiding it back up. Jack still will sometimes when she's really going through it. It was relatively short in the 1940s, but when Alfred crashed their plane, and they both got dengue, and he was feeling a little better faster than she was, he followed the family tradition, combed it out, and braided it for her. Alice Roosevelt had him whipped.

Jack feels like the type that showers twice a day, every day. He hates being city grimy. Bush or cattle/sheep station grimy is one thing, but city grimy is a yeah, nah. He still can’t grow much of a proper beard, but he’s getting there. So, shower, shave and apply sunscreen. So much sunscreen. He’s got plenty of melanin but slip, slap, slop! He styles his hair too. A little bit of curl cream to make the waves pop, a little bit of gel or pomade, then pull it back a bit, scrunch it forward until one or two of his waves fall out of place, and voila, he looks like an auburn-brown-haired cockatoo.

He didn’t think about his appearance very much when he was little. He squirmed a lot when Brighid combed his hair and would run away when other’s tried and had to be sung to or have poetry recited to him to get him to sit still. He liked wearing the colour until it went out of fashion in the late 19th century. He checked the mirror for sideburns for decades while they were popular and was constantly disappointed. Heading towards the federation at the turn of the 20th century, he started getting a lot more fussy. He started styling his hair so his really good waves showed, but he always had a cowlick someone had to smooth down. He wanted to be a fancy lad and look like a grown nation, so he was a bit of a dandy for a bit. Definitely has also rocked a mullet.

PART 1: THE BASICS

What is your full name?

Moriah Celeste Marcel.

Where and when were you born?

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, in Florida on September 5th, 1998. 

Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)

My parents are Michael Marcel and Victoria Hampton, they are not married but have been committed since the birth of their first child. Michael is the current owner of his own seafood restaurant. He is a laid back person, mostly but can be easily agitated and known as aggressive. Victoria is the co-owner of the seafood restaurant, but her main focus in interior decorating specializing in event decorating. She is a soft spoken person majority of the time and is also known as alluring. 

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

I have four siblings, three sisters Cymone, Phaith and Kiyana and a brother, Rhyan. Cymone is very attentive and virtuous she also is very bossy. Phaith is a straightforward/candid person. Kiyana is very gregarious and jovial. Rhyan, was a very virtuous person  who tried to see the good in every person. 

Where do you live now, and with whom?

I currently live in a penthouse in downtown LA. The penthouse is a two bedroom, one and a half bathroom. The master bedroom includes a large queen size bed with a canopy bedframe, a stripper pole that has been installed in front of it and floor to ceiling mirrors. The second bedroom was converted into a storage/workout area although the building has its own gym attached. Include is also a wrap around balcony extended off of the spacious living room area with a large black couch and a 70 inch tv spread across the wall in front of it. The living room is connected to the large kitchen with multiple black cabinets, an upgraded LG fridge, a gas stove and other updated appliances. Throughout the penthouse there are pictures of myself and some of my family displayed on the wall but also on the coffee table and shelves along the hall and in the living room. 

What is your occupation?

I am an exotic dancer/entertainer looking to venture into other businesses.

I am 5’3 and weigh around 160. I am African American and have black curly hair, brown eyes and around twenty tattoos. There aren’t many distinctive marks on me visible to the eye but I do have scars on my forearm that aren’t heavily visible and scars on my chest and stomach. As for tattoos, on my forearm I have a remembrance tattoo of my brother a portrait of one of my favorite pictures of him, under that is a portrait of a cockatoo which represents freedom. Next to those two is a quote that reminds me what I live everyday for. On that same arm I also have a seeing eye tattoo and a “My brother’s keeper”. Below those, I have another portrait of Nefertiti. The inside of that arm I have a Carpe Diem tattoo. On my shoulder I have my birthday in Roman numerals and on my upper chest I have a heart, and heart beat attached to the time my brother died. My other tattoos consist of small doodles such as hearts, flowers and the name of my ex which I am currently working on getting covered up or removed.

Middle Class/Upper Class.

Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?

I suffer from severe seasonal allergies and am allergic to pine. 

Are you right- or left-handed?

I am ambidextrous.

What does your voice sound like?

My voice is a lower tone, but not deep and can be described as slightly raspy. There is no heavy Miami accent that plays off my  voice that I know about. 

What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?

“Girl.” “You straight.” “What?” “Oh hell.” 

What do you have in your pockets?

My phone. 

Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?

I like to roll my eyes a lot, I am constantly fixing my lipgloss and/or applying it. I have a bad habit of chewing and popping gum. 

             PART 2: GROWING UP

How would you describe your childhood in general?

Basic, my siblings and I were always fighting and my parents did their best. I was constantly fighting although I had my siblings there to defend me, I was defending them. 

What is your earliest memory?

Being in Kindergarten and having a “crush”. 

How much schooling have you had?

I finished high school and dropped out of college my first year. 

Did you enjoy school?

I enjoyed the social aspect of school more than the academic part. 

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?

From my siblings and mom. There wasn’t much for my dad to teach me after I was taught to defend myself. 

While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.

Tyra Banks because she was a model turned actress turned tv host.  

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?

Yes, I had an aunt that I am very close to. My siblings and I were all very close. I am/was closer to my mom than I have been to my dad. 

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An actress/model.

As a child, what were your favorite activities?

Dancing, playing in makeup, playing with dolls and dressing up. 

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?

Everyone always told me I was loud and ‘fearless’ but my mom would always say I was very aggressive and sassy.

I wouldn’t say popular. I was picked on, but I did have friends aside from my sisters. They were funny and liked to do makeup which helped me become better at my own. 

When and with whom was your first kiss?

My first kiss was at my 9th grade dance with my crush. 

Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?

No. I lost it when I was 17 with my boyfriend at the time.

Moving to LA.

My Brother held the most influence over me, but I’m trying to move on from his passing. 

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Being able to start therapy and break the bad habits I had before.

The way I handled my brother’s passing. 

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

I’ve falsely posted that my ex had STD’s for the public to find out and called to get his car towed after he cheated on me. 

Do you have a criminal record of any kind?

Yes. 

When was the time you were the most frightened?

When my father was in jeopardy of losing his business right after my brother’s passing. 

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?

While one of my first nights dancing, in a packed club full of ballers I fell off the pole when I was at the height of it. I injured myself badly and almost wanted to cry. 

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?

The length of time I was mad at/not talking to my family. It was a hard time for all of us and if I had realized that it could have helped me manage my feelings better. 

What is your best memory?

When I finally was able to move to LA and get rid of what I left in Miami. 

What is your worst memory?

Waking up in the middle of the night to the call that my brother had passed.

The buzzing of the cheap lights dancing through the cramped, hot dressing room stresses Meilin out. She hasn’t put on setting spray yet and her makeup is melting. Even worse, it’s their first show since Chris had to be sent to the looney bin once again. She can feel her teeth grinding against each other, feeling small bits of bone crunching away and touching her warm tongue. Her tiny fists clenched, her long, stiletto nails, painted obsidian and crimson to match her outfit, digging through her soft flesh. Just by the humidity alone, Meilin could feel her hair frizzing up no matter how much product she added.

She has to share this room with six other assholes she calls her bandmates. “De History of Chessboxin’” by Wu-Tang Clan is blasting through the cheap Bluetooth speaker thanks to Ryan. Speaking of Ryan, he’s still in the middle of spraying half a can of that Got2b hair spray. His deathhawk nearly reaches the ceiling, almost looking as if he were some goth cockatoo. Meilin’s nose scrunches just by the overwhelming smell of the spray.

“Why the fuck is he always like this? It’s gon’ end up all messy and down once we’re done, damn…”

She sprayed a whiff of setting spray, flapping her hands around and praying to whatever phony deity that her makeup didn’t look messy. Her spiky buns stick out of her black locks, her bangs almost covering her slim monolid eyes. Her soulless eyes roam around to see what the others are doing.

To her left, June is putting on their contacts; red and black, almost reminding Meilin of a ladybug. The kid is nuts for putting them on last, considering that their Jazmin Bean-inspired makeup is already on and their hair is up. They look insect-like, hence why they’re also called “June-bug.”

Next to June is Eddie, adding the last bit of corpse paint on his face. The thin brush slides through his full lips, sliding down a bit to give that cracked, distorted look. His long locks are still tied in a braid; how does he manage to keep up with hair that reaches down to his ass? Ed-boy is shirtless, wearing cargo shorts, and has his earbuds on, probably listening to Mortician or Emperor. She couldn’t blame him, the guy keeps to himself all the time.

“Gotta ask him ‘bout his hair routine.”

Meilin could see in the far back Tony, the big guy of the group. He’s adding Elmer’s Glue to his hair while blow drying it, shaping up his liberty spikes. She’s surprised he isn’t dumb enough to use Gorilla Glue like that lady did to make her hair flat. His golden eyes glimmer through the little light provided by the room, his full lips pursed and nose slightly twitching in focus. T is shirtless as well, showing off that bara body of his. His plaid shorts look a bit tight on him, with a red bandana wrapped around his thick neck and spiked bracelets covering up his wrists. A big observation the singer made was that Big T did or did not take small glances at the drummer, looking at him for a bit longer than usual…

Meilin turns around and gets up from her vanity, walking towards the cooler to get out a canned cocktail. She sees Jayu, sitting on the cheap, gross couch tuning his Jackson Series Rhoads. He’s still wearing that mask (like he always does), but she can sense that he’s getting irritated. The short man wears a tank top, revealing his many old scars. Meilin can tell that it tells a thousand stories and, knowing his background and how shut-off he is, is not going to bother how he got them. His hands clench slightly, veins slowly forming on his beige skin.

“...”

The door barges open, making the remaining six swoop their heads at who it is. It’s Chris, the notorious schizophrenic DJ for the band, literally the most unpredictable person you’ll ever meet. His body, a bit bigger in terms of weight, stumbles and wiggles a bit. He smells like Purple Haze and Newports, but Fearless, if not everyone, can tell that he took something stronger.

“Nah… This motherfucker did not-”

“I wan’ hot chocolate… hrnnnnngkjdsfnkgj.”

Chris then projectile vomits onto the floor.

“BITCH.”

All hell breaks loose in the dressing room. So far, this is the most insane shit they’ve witnessed.

“EWWWWWWW!!!!” screeched June.

“Oh my fuckin’ lord.” deadpanned Eddie, his eyes wide open.

“GAHHH DAMN!!!” said Ryan. Literally everyone knows that he speaks in bold text.

Jayu puts his Rhoads to the side, getting up from the couch to help his “little brother.”

Meilin puts a hand on her forehead, sighing deeply.

“Chris, if you keep this shit up, we’re gon’ have no choice but send yo ass to rehab.” 

“Suck my dick,” he replies.

Before Meilin would smack the shit out of him, someone from the bar staff said that they have five minutes before showtime, instantly getting out from the intense smell of bile.

“Nerds Rope… Rosetta Stone…” the DJ slurs out. 

Everyone was confused about what the hell he was saying (were they ever), until Ryan pointed something out.

“Yo… Ay yo yo yo!! Where the fuck is my Nerds edible?! Chris!! Did yo fatass ate it?!”

Chris giggles the giggle of a dying hyena.

“Noooooooooooooo…..”

“You mothafucker… oooOOOOH I’MMA MOLLY WACK THE FUCK OUTTA YOU WORD TO MY FATHER-”

Before Ryan could jump Chris, he was instantly held back by Eddie and Tony. His face looks like a screeching banshee. He kept on hurling out threats using his Japanglish.

“Yo, yo! Yoshi! Calm the fuck down!! Get out, everyone!!!” Meilin screamed out.

Everyone but Chris and Jayu was ushered out by their fearless leader. Meimei watches as the lead guitarist kicks his legs up and screams out like the diva he is while being carried away by the bassist. She leans back against the door to the dressing room, being nosy as hell as to what the two are talking about..

“Yeongi, why did you eat that? You know we have a show tonight.” Jayu asked.

Woah. Meimei did not expect his voice to be that deep.

“Hrnnn… I was bored, hyung~” the younger replies, still slurring his words.

Jayu lets out a deep sigh.

“I’ll get you some tea after the show, but you’re going to have to pay me back. Understand?”

Fearless instantly got bored of their little conversation. She walks off to enter with the other guys. Ryan and Tony are having their lil’ homo moment, playfully smacking each other’s asses while Eddie is drumming his thighs with his sticks. June is taking selfies.

Not long later, the two men appeared. Chris still looks a bit fucked up, but that’s Chris.

“Alright motherfuckas… Get in a circle. It’s time to make this show the best we got, ya hear?!” Meilin booms out.

The gang cheers on, hearing the crowd chanting their name.

It’s showtime.

Lisette Beaufort

I wanted to introduce my OC Lisette. She pops up a couple of times in Charmed, I'm Sure as a side character. The first picture is from 1909 (I did my best) and the second is modern times.

Lisette is a witch and a former high society socialite and heiress. She originally summoned Kallios to help her get out of her engagement to her fiancé whom she didn’t love (he sucked, he only wanted her for her money and how many babies she could give him). She refused to give Kallios her soul in return for their pact, leaving him to figure out some other sort of payment. Along the way she and Kallios fell in love, and she married him and moved to the Devildom where she was able to pursue her dream as a fashion designer. She currently owns and runs Majolish and Devil Style magazine, and has done so for the past 100 years. She's a partier and is good friends with Asmo and Mammon (Mams says she's the only witch he can tolerate, probably because she pays him and not the other way around). She’s not exactly immortal, but her skill in magic combined with her bond with Kallios froze her at the age of 30 and extended her life. She is gifted in divination (mostly through tarot) and she receives prophetic dreams but she can’t control what she sees or when they happen. Kallios's death devastated her and she was only able to get through it because of her dear friends, she cherishes each and every one deeply but she hasn't ever loved anyone else the way she did Kallios.

For her character design I wanted her to be almost "perfect" but just off. She's slim and tall, and always fits the fashionable silhouette. But her hair is light, which wasn't the popular hair color when she was younger, and she has unique amber eyes some might find off putting.

I answered some Get to Know My OC questions too:

1. She likes champagne and overly sweet, fruity cocktails. For non alcoholic drinks, Coca Cola is very nostalgic to her, something that hasn’t changed that much in all the years she’s been alive. She also likes tea.

2. Favorite flavor: Sweet, mostly.

3. Favorite food: She likes food in general so she doesn’t have one set favorite but if you asked her she’d probably say chocolate ice cream.

4. Dinner is her favorite because it’s the best time to dine with her beloved and friends, and after dinner comes dessert.

5. Once again, she’s not too picky about food but she doesn’t like meat that’s too bloody or fish that’s overcooked or too fishy.

6. At first she had difficulty tolerating spicy foods but living in the Devildom for over 100 years has raised her tolerance.

7. Favorite animal: Birds, specifically parrots. Kallios gifted her a hell cockatoo that she named Adonis.

8. She wears a nightgown to bed, usually something silky.

9. She sleeps on her back but sometimes she’ll sleep on her side, clutching a pillow (she really misses sleeping next to Kallios).

10. She’s more of a night owl because she loves to party but once she’s woken up in the morning she becomes alert rather quickly.

11. She’s usually an average sleeper, but on nights she gets prophetic dreams, she sleeps heavy.

12. She likes to sew on rainy days, there’s just something so cozy about the sound of the rain mixed with the clicking of the sewing machine.

13. She loves the smell of white florals and vanilla, also fresh herbs

14. What does she smell like: In the past she would have worn Jicky by Guerlain. Now she still keeps it very classic, she wears Chanel No. 5.

15. If she had the time she would take a leisurely bath every day.

16. Her cooking skills are pretty decent. Not gourmet but she can follow a recipe. She loved cooking together with her husband, it was quality time for them.

17. She loves fall, the weather is perfect.

18. Halloween, but she also loves Jill’s day because that was the first time she visited the Devildom.

19. She prefers making gifts for her loved ones. Usually it’s in the form of clothing she designed just for them, with love in every stitch.

20. She’s 5’7/170 cm

The Archivist - Cat

The Archivist is explicitly compared multiple times throughout the story to a moderately friendly stray cat that keeps coming around that everyone likes to feed but is never really part of the family.

Cass - Cockatoo

Noisy, showy, intelligent, part of a large flock, and capable of strong affection toward a single person. She wants to fly free. A bird suits her. And the yellow crest on some of them kind of matches her hair in color, if not in shape.

Lin - Raven

A psychopomp and herald of death. Or so she thinks of herself on bad days when faced with the fact that ultimately all she can do for the old is make them comfortable as they pass on. But the raven is instead a trickster figure in some mythologies, much more fun to hear about and be around (and perhaps fitting for the Archivist's observations of her metaphorical mask around most people). And again, pairing of hair and feather color.

Vernon - Sheep Dog

Everybody loves a big friendly dog, and everybody loves Vernon. And there's some comparisons to be made between acting as one of the Village's official mediators and watching over a flock. Plus, his parents are literally shepherds.

Maiko - Cat

Another stray, but the kind that's super skittish and needs to be handled with patience and gentleness over a long period of time before she'll get close. The sort of cat that seems aloof until she curls up on your lap and starts purring.

Lacuna - Cat

Another ca,t but a house cat this time. The sort that is intensely bonded to one person but hides whenever strangers come over. And the sort that ends up in funny videos on the internet doing stupid stuff. Falls hard into "curiosity killed the cat," but actually remembers the second half of the saying that satisfaction brought it back. Also, trans anime catgirl memes.

Ashan - White Peacock

Images of elegance, refinement, and mysticism combined with the visual parallels between the long ornate tale male peacocks are known for with the wizard in robes who frequently gets mistaken for a beautiful woman in a dress.

Eris - Pig

Smarter and a better companion than most are willing to acknowledge. Capable of being incredibly destructive if left alone to go feral.

Sullivan - Golden Orb Weaver Spider

Not sure why, but spider was the first thing that jumped to mind for Sullivan here. The connotations of sneaky predation and hanging in the shadows? Affinity for venom? The common imagery of spiderwebs for networks of connections? The necessary function of removing pests? Some combination of that. And this particular variety because gold. He's got his shtick and he's keeping to it.

Road - Dragon

Dragons. Everyone has their own idea of what they're like, even if only one or two of a few core traits usually shows up in all of them. Whatever the depiction they're undeniably grand, larger than life staples of fantasy. Most importantly, dragons aren't real.

I want to make a joke here, but why does she recognize me? I would be pretty easy to distinguish, even among all of these other people. I’ve got blue and red hair, for crying out loud. Is that really something people see every day?

Jokes aside, it’s so cool that the Engage forms add new elements to the characters’ designs. I wonder if it changes based on who the holder has equipped? I honestly don’t know if I would want to change Céline’s, I really love the way she looks. The pink hair is gorgeous.

Oh yes, it is very clear that you and Céline are siblings. I love how committed you guys are as a family, though!

This man is being attacked from all sides with not one, not two, but THREE emblems and has not gotten the memo that it is maybe time to get out of there. I want his confidence. If I were some bad guy and someone walked up with the emblems while I didn’t have anything? I’d have just left.

If Cassie made gijinkas for a genki girlie cockatoo and a benign black cat, how would she draw them?

These drawings are framed from my OC Cassie's perspective as if she were the artist. How does she perceive Penny and Chan? What does Cassie's art style look like?

Here are my notes outside of character for Penny:

Penny's beak and talons are black, which I chose to interpret as her having dark skin

Distinct feathers become locs. Big ole eyes stay the same. Nose and mouth shapes come from beak shape.

Rounder body type to indicate the fluffiness of the cockatoo + their chubby lil chicken legs

Notes for Chan:

Chan gets a cat ear headband. Of course. That + the fullness of her hair could imitate the round shape of an entire cat on their own

The absolute tamest of goth clothing, because she'd be lowkey about it. Her black palette has an indigo undertone to allude to the night, and to contrast with Callan's red-undertoned black palette

Her petite frame is a nod to how some cats look so SKINNY when they get wet lmao. All that volume comes from the fur (in this case, Chan's clothes)

Cat mouth, cat nose. Pink fingernails and a pale complexion allude to her pink paw beans...

I kinda want to do more of these with my other friends' notas! This is so fun, so silly, and sooo indulgent 💙

𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℕ𝕒𝕣𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕠𝕣:

-demisexual af. like he sees absolutely no appeal in ANYONE unless he's hardcore bonded with em (cough cough Stanley)

-ik this one is common but he absolutely talks with his hands, like, to the point where you have to stand further back because they're gesturing so much

-cannot STAND anything scented. scented candles, soap, even certain foods (hm? projecting onto characters who?)

-He could change his voice to sound like anything (like with the mannequin wife) they just went with a british accent since it thought it made them sound 'smart and sophisticated'.

-germophobe to the max- always washing his hands, wiping stuff down, etc.. it wears gloves often in order to keep itself clean (and sane)

-only ever eats dark chocolate (FOR THE RECORD I FUCKIN HATE DARK CHOCOLATE)

-he loaded in his human avatar once and hit their funny bone/ulnar nerve HARD against a desk, and proceeded to sob for an hour while Stanley calmed him down

-he/they/it pronouns babyyy

-will often show Stanley the dumbest most grandma/white mom-eqsue facebook memes (he thinks its comedy gold and Stanley never has the heart to tell it that they're oh so painfully unfunny)

-when it realised he had feelings for Stanley he immediately reset out of surprise and fear (stanley was three hours into the baby game and wanted to strangle them afterwards)

-before the Parable he'd use almost an entire bottle of hair gel every day to keep his hair flat (he honestly prefers it natural)

-has in fact eaten several bugs, the current running list including a cockroach, a mealworm, and a surprising number of ants and flies (a lot of them by accident)

-has also eaten dirt, mud, and candy wrappers- he was the type of kid who just put everything in his mouth lmao

-uses 5 million emojis/tone indicators when he texts, it started out as a joke but now he genuinely feels like he can't get his point across without them

-instead of scented things, he can't stand bad textures- the feeling of stucco walls, rubbing your fingernail wrong etc.. it's one of the reasons he's not the biggest fan of slime- he hates the feeling of it sticking to your fingers.

-he fuckin loves citrus. the fruits, the scent, etc..

-when he realised he had feelings for the Narrator he just. locked himself in the broom closet with the bucket for a couple hours.

-she loves berries. blueberries especially.

-has punched multiple people in the face and... other places, in defense of her friends- loyal af

-likes to sing but is mediocre at best; they're really into showtunes and 70s 'hippie music'. she got to see stevie nicks in concert, and considers it one of her highest achievements. also partial to heavier stuff like rock and roll

-has a really close relationship with their dad- he helped her a lot growing up and he was so supportive of them when she came out (projecting again?? ME???)

-she has a 14-year-old pet cockatoo named Alfred (idk why im including this it's just something i believe in)
