Platonic Hawks x Teen Reader w/ Autism

A/N: hi! Thank you so kuh for the request! I really enjoyed writing it. It hope this is what you were looking for. Please send it any more Hawks requests if you have any!

Hawks had met you though the sports festival at UA. After witnessing your match against Tokoyami and observing your quirk, he immediately took an interest in you. When he talked to Aizawa about you and Tokotami interning with him, though, he discovered something interesting.

“They don’t like adults?” he asked in disbelief. But then he shrugged. “Bad home life, I guess?”

Aizawa shrugged tiredly. “I’m not sure. From what I can tell, they have a decent home life. But they did tell us teachers that they’re autistic.”

Then it clicked for Hawks. “Oh, well that won’t be an issue!” he said with his signature smile. “I’m sure we’ll get along great.”

After talking more to Aizawa, both men agreed that it would be easier for you if you met Hawks before making any decisions on where you wanted to go. So they decided that Hawks would come to the dorms one evening to get to know you.

When that evening finally came, he walked into one of the private study rooms on the first floor to see you sitting alone with your favorite fidget toy in hand. Aizawa walked him to the door as they spoke. “I talked to Y/N,” the older man said. “Turns out you’re part of their hyperfixation at the moment.”

Hawks’ eyebrows rose in surprise. “Really?”

Aizawa nodded. “She’s been hyper fixating on anything biological. Their Biology grade has gone up a whole letter grade. All of their free-choice essays in English have been something biological. Their latest essay was on you and your quirk.”

They approached the door and turned to look at each other. Hawks smiled. “I have a feeling we’ll get along great.” And with that, he stepped into the study room.

You glanced up to him quickly before looking away, bouncing your leg. Hawks noticed how apprehensive you were towards him, and took things slow. “Hi,” he said softly. “May I sit?” You nodded slowly, and Hawks took a seat across from you. “I’m Hawks,” he introduced himself. “And you’re Y/N?” You nodded again, only glancing up every once and a while to meet his eyes. You messed with the fidget in your hands. There was a moment of silence before Hawks spoke again. “I understand you’re apprehensive of adults, yes?”

You hummed softly.

Keigo smiled gently. “Well, I’d just like you to know that I’m the most childish adult out there,” he said with a slight chuckle. “And I’d like you to come intern with me and my agency. But only if you’re comfortable.”

“Can I touch your wings?” you asked out of the blue, looking at his red wings hopefully.

Hawks was startled by your question, but smiled nonetheless. “Of course.” He extended his wings across the table between the two of you. Your soft hands gently brushed against his feathers, then pet them.

“I’ve been studying your quirk,” you said more confidently, making eye contact with Hawks for the first time. His sharp golden eyes soothed your worry. “I’ve been hyper fixating on biology, especially quirks like your’s and Miriko's, who mix human anatomy with animal biology.”

“That’s awesome,” Keigo smiles.

“I think that’s why I don’t hate you as much as I do other adults. I just don’t like them.”

“That’s totally understandable,” Hawks reassured. “If you’re ever uncomfortable around me, don’t be afraid to say something. I want to help you become a better hero, but I also want to help you become a better person. To help you get more comfortable with other people.”

You drew your hand back from his wings, offering a small smile. “I think I’ll join you,” you said quietly. “I think I can trust you.”

The longer you worked with Hawks, the more comfortable you became with him. And the more he learned about you, the more he did to make you feel comfortable with him. He kept fidget toys in his office at the agency. He even kept a few in his jacket pocket for if you needed one during patrol with him. Hawks’ favorite time spent with you was while you, Tokoyami, and himself were flying across the city, or even just sitting on a random rooftop, and you’d ramble about anything biological (he wouldn’t admit it, but he even started studying biology just so he could chime in every once in a while).

Keigo never made you interact with any adult you didn’t feel comfortable with. There were even times when you didn’t want to talk to him or be around him, so he’d let you stay behind at the agency with some of his other interns and learn how to do things that went along with running an agency.

Keigo was very flexible, and he made sure you were always comfortable around him.

Right now you just wanted to cry, but you almost visibly recoiled at the thought of your face feeling wet and sticky with salt.

The whole day, all you wanted was to be buried in your lover's arms, wings wrapped around each other, tucked into the corner of your apartment that was turned into a nest.

But instead you were stuck shoulder to shoulder with every type of stranger possible on the subway home from your dream-turned-nightmare 9-5 job.

You swear you've almost been fired a couple of times today. From your 'informal' work attitude because of you're stimming, to not wanting to give you're sweaty palmed and just generally unclean superior physical contact.

You can almost feel how moist your bones are inside your body, and count every air molecule that that you felt pounding against your skin as your finally freed from the metal cage of nightmarish speed. Speaking of nightmarish speeds, that's the one you chose to run at to guarantee no more sensory problems on your way home.

You wish you could fly, you really do. But the contract your company had with you which meant you couldn't use your quirk, unless it was for what was classed as a genuine reason.

As you closed the door to the apartment, you peeled your feet out of the ridiculous dress shoes the company had you wear so you could morph you feet into a more comfortable and natural state.

Stretching your wings and arms above your head, you wander your home searching for pillows, blankets, and most importantly, your beloved, Keigo Takami.

You heard the door open and close mid forage, and you whip your head around, eyes locking on the intruder.

"Keigo!" You sobbed, not realising your love was going to be home so early. Soon you found yourself breaking down in his arms.

"Hey, hey. Baby calm down. Let's get you into the nest, and I'll get you some snacks." He offered, and all you could muster was a quiet 'mhm' , and as soon as your body hit the circular mattress in your living room, you went limp, and Keigo left to get something to eat from the kitchen, as well as the blankets you had dropped.

"Today was shit." You spat out. "They kept on touching me."

"I know, baby bird. How about we finish the nest, order some takeout, and watch that ghost show you like?"

You look up at him from your spot in the nest, baffled.

"You're willing to watch Lockwood & Co. with me? You never do this."

"Sometimes sacrifices need to be made to make people happy."

A few pizzas and a finished nest later, you and Keigo were cuddling, your back to his chest.

He suddenly spoke up,

"I don't think she did look in the mirror."

You turn to look at him with a raised eye, questioning him.

"The one with the curly hair? I personally think she had enough time to look while George got the net."

There was silence for a bit before Keigo spoke.

"Nah, I don't think so, c'm'ere."

And before you knew it, you were pinned, deft hands working at your sides, causing you to writhe and giggle, almost to the point of pain.

"NO KEI- STOP, PLEASE." You squealed.

"Only if you stop being such a smart ass."

"AAAAHHH, FINE FINE JUST STOOPP, PLEASE."

Keigo flopped down onto you, and you welcomed it, the pressure grounding you.

"Y'know," you said, "I lied about what I said earlier." You admitted.

"Oh, shaddup."

Yay they're open now!!! I'd love to see how Dabi (or Hawks, i simp for both) would react to a darling who's on the spectrum for autism. Its not super noticable but they can go from 0 to 100 when discussing things they like, or if they get excited, but if they become scared or stressed they just totally shut down. The biggest thing would be the fact they don't panic if their kidnapped if their treated nice. Like the amount of chill would be unsettling until they pop off with at least your nice.

ok, I've been kinda scared to tackle a Autistic reader fic because I'm so uneducated on the subject and I don't wanna accidentally offend anyone, but I'll try my best!! I'm sorry if i made a mistake and/or offended you!!

Keigo has worked with a lot of autistic children, when he met you he didn't even realize you were autistic

He'd tease you when your in a social situation and you need help, but he'll eventually help you

Hawks is pretty smart, if you ever have trouble saying something or get frustrated he'd try to help you through it

Someone once asked if you were a charity case- and he got extremely mad. He stormed off the intervening stage, then went home to cuddle with you

He thinks it's really helpful that you know what you like and/or dislike, it's great for buying you gifts and taking you on dates

He avoids conversations because he hates people, if you feel like a conversation with someone isn't working out or the other person is getting frustrated with you he'll excuse you both from the conversation, go to your room and you'd cuddle until you both fall asleep (which doesn't take that long because this man is literally half asleep all day)
