This story is such a cute love story between Dick and Dana, Tim's step mother. I love myself a good rare pair. Dana adopts Tim after Jack dieds, she takes an interest in his gymnastics teacher Dick. She struggles with parenting Tim, he helps her through it. It's a great wholesome fic if your looking for some hurt/comfort light on the hurt. It's not finished though.

Another rare pair fic. This time it's between Talia, Bruce, and Janet. Not as wholesome as the last one but definitely a good one if you want hurt/comfort. Tim is Bruce's Bio son, Jack finds out and wants a divorce. Bruce is an awkward dad trying to parent 3 kids with one on the way. Janet is trying to survive living under the same roof as her exe husband with a drinking problem all while trying to keep Tim safe. Talia is just trying to get in Janet's pants and hating on Jack. Also not a finished book but it was updated in the last 2 months

Tim trying to not get caught smoking weed. That's the whole book. Stoner Tim is a very under used trope and I need more of it! Perfect fluffy book. This one is finished.

Yet another rare pair but this time it's cross Fandom. This one is Neal Caffrey x Bruce wayne. Neal and Bruce are dating, Bruce's kids find out. Neal and the white collar division now have to deal with the chaos of Bruce's far to many kids. Again a really good comfort book. This one is finished.

Tim's Uber hits Red Hood with his car. Now Tim feels like he owes Hood a favor. Then the Outlaws claim Tim as their child. Great hurt/comfort fic! Bit more on the angsty side. Deals alot with child Neglect but that's a given for a Tim drake centric fanfic. This one is also a finished fic.

Acrobatics of the Heart

...I should be sleeping

but I am plagued with an idea for Dick/Danny (Green Elephants? Death Defying? Dead Circus? Whichever is the ship's name.)

Just a meet-cute where Danny is the cute new single dad in Bludhaven and Dick is his daughter Ellie's (Dani) Gymnastics Teacher.

Cause (19 to 20-year-old) Danny moved to Gotham for a new start/college and the fact that Dani (now Ellie) is now like five years old (her actual age) instead of being physically a few years younger than him. So basically new start, portal has been dismantled and Danny has a mini-portal for needing to pop into the ghost zone for king business. Right now he just wants to get his engineering degree, cause I stan Danny Is Smart.

Dick quit the police force (RIC NEVER HAPPENED CAUSE FUCK THAT TIMELINE) and becomes a gymnastics/acrobatics teacher at the local (newly rebuilt thanks to Bruce Wayne) Recreation Center and teaches ages 5 and up. A new year, a new group of Little AcroBats for Dick to teach!

He is rather fond of little Ellie Nightingale, she is a little gremlin that kinda reminds him of Jason when he was younger. She's a little spitfire, and he somehow misses meeting her parent during pick up and drop off.

Until Ellie finally drags Danny over to meet her favorite teacher, Mr. Grayson!

DPxDC prompt: Nightbirds

Nightbirds (Jazz/Dick) idea I had in the backburner and never got around to write:

Jazz always felt less when she tried to help her little brother fight ghosts. Sure, she is liminal and heals fast and everything; but there is one thing she would never confess she felt envious about: she couldn't fly.

She didn't even have a cool hoverboard like Val!

Jazz envied the agility that flying provided in ghosts fights.

That's why, when she moved to Gotham to do an internship in Arkham, she enrolled in a gymnastics class where apparently Dick Grayson taught. She knew of him, but since she never was one for celebrities or gossip, she didn't know much about him.

But he seems like an okay dude and is a great teacher!

If only she could understand why he made that weird face when she mentioned Nightwing was her favourite hero.

Funny points if Jazz had the MASSIVE crush on Nightwing/Robin I when she was younger.

First Headcanon that pops into my head- Cass craves so much physical contact, but she has to initiate it. If you startle her with a touch (very hard to do, but it has happened) she'll be a little shaken.

7. One way in which I relate to this character- I relate that sometimes she doesn't want to talk or be apart of the conversation, just wants to observe sometimes. It takes a fair amount of mental energy to have a conversation with someone.

8. thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character- when she speaks in broken english like a baby. Or really ackward one word sentences. Like if someone asks if she's okay after a bomb or something and she responds with "Alright." instead of "I'm alright".

So I’m going to provide Potted Fanon Histories, one character at a time. Putting this all into a single timeline was too messy. If you have additions to give, would love to hear them.

Let’s start with Robin One, DICK GRAYSON.

Dick, 8-12: Haly's Circus. (Exactly who is in the crowd is up for debate. Definitely Bruce. Arguably half of DC at this point)

Dick, 8-12: Dick becomes Robin. Exactly how old Dick is for this varies depending on if the writer wants to think about Tiny Child Dick.

Dick, 14-15: Teen Titans get together. The line up of this Titans may vary but frequently looks far more NTT than Fab Five. Garth for instance is almost certainly not present.

Dick, 18-20: Bruce fires Dick or has a massive fight with him (it’s definitely getting fired, Dick does not quit), usually over Dick being attacked by the Joker. Sometimes over Dick being shot by Two-Face.

Dick’s time as Robin: largely an impenetrable black hole. He and Bruce did everything together, they were the best, etc etc. Dick calls Clark “Uncle Clark” and Diana “Aunt Diana”. Only storylines referenced will be sneaking out to try and kill Zucco, and maybe the Hanging Judge with Two-Face.

Dick’s time with the Teen Titans: As likely to just be ‘remembered highlights of Teen Titans 2003 (cartoon)’ as actual comics events, but if they are comics events it’s the highlights of NTT: Trigon, Brother Blood, Judas Contract, plus Snowbirds Don’t Fly. They’re based in New York. Dick’s closest friendship is with Wally.

Optional teen Dick storyline: ‘Dick was Slade’s apprentice!’ via some horrible mashing of Devin Grayson’s Renegade arc with TT03 (cartoon)’s Red X arc. Dick spent 6 months or so under Slade’s mental control.

Second optional teen Dick storyline: AU where he was a Talon

Dick, 20: after being fired/fighting with Bruce, Dick becomes Nightwing and moves to Bludhaven immediately. He is either working as a gymnastics teacher or training to become a cop.

Dick, still 20: goes on a ski trip with Jason.

Dick, 21: probably was a relationship with Kory. They broke up. The reasons why are unknown, or implied to be due to Mirage. If you’re really lucky there’s a joke about the wedding. (yes. Events happen in this listed order)

Dick, 21: in space when Jason dies. Has a guilt complex over this forever.

Dick, mid 20s: tried to kill the Joker at some point. The Joker lived. Little context is given for this other than maybe mentioning that Joker mentioned Jason’s death. This is the single event that has occurred during the 90s and 2000s between ADITF and UTRH.

Dick, mid 20s: is (probably) a cop. Conflict with Blockbuster, Blockbuster dies, Dick is ‘raped in the rain’ by Catalina Flores. Whether anyone remembers she is Tarantula is up for debate. This is the single thing Catalina ever does.

Subsequent to this, Dick’s just…hanging around Gotham and Bludhaven. Not a single event in Nightwing vol 1 after Nightwing 93 occurs. He’s around the Batcave helping Bruce track Jason down during Under the Red Hood.

Dick, slightly later mid 20s: becomes Batman while Bruce is dead. Insert preferred flavour of Red Robin 1 angst here. Battle for the Cowl may happen, but if it does the only aspect of it involving Dick was that Dick was reluctant to become Batman.

Dick mid 20s: raises Damian all on his own! They become incredibly close immediately and Damian never bonds properly with Bruce or SHOULD do so, as Dick’s Damian’s real dad.

Dick later 20s: Spyral arc MAY have happened. It was traumatic. Dick is now back as Nightwing.

Dick, currently: Dick has remained Nightwing since either stopping being Batman or since Spyral. No other events have occurred. He lives in Bludhaven, drops in at the Manor constantly and cheerfully teases his brothers. He may have shared custody of Damian and be living at the Manor with him part time.

Dick, currently: is in a relationship with pick one - Barbara, Kory or Wally. If in a relationship with Wally, no event in the Flash has ever occurred. Linda who?

Being raised in the same circus as Dick and being reunited with him…

Dick Grayson x Male Reader

Warnings: Superhero violence, fluff, death of parents, reader and Dick are dumb…

Summary: You were a firedancer as a child at the same circus as the Flying Graysons and years later you reunite with your childhood best friend in odd circumstances…

(A/n: The Batfam lineup in this is only Bruce, Alfred, Dick, Barbara, Jason and you. The others are not there yet. + Not based on the Titans show, this version of Dick is just hot.)

You were the child of a fire breather and a acrobat at Haly’s Circus so you were raised to know pretty much both of those skills and became the circus firedancer and the occaisional helper of the Flying Graysons, that would be how you met Dick.

The two of you were inseperable as kids, you always showed each other new skills your parents taught you as part of their acts. Which would lead the circus director to make you helpers to each others performances, because what’s better to make the audience say ”Awww” than two wholesome kids being best friends.

The two of you even planned to make an act together but it never came to be…

After the death of his parents Dick was taken away and the two of you didn’t even get to say goodbye.

After that the director trained you and some others to become the new trapeze artists but none of you could ever match the skills of the Flying Graysons, though you came somewhat close having trained and performed with them before.

Tragedy would strike the circus again during one of your parents performances leading to you becoming orphaned.

So you left the circus at 16 years old to get away from the pain and moved to a small apartment in Gotham using the money your parents left you. You got a job as barista and a side job as a gymnastics teacher for kids.

Though the barista job didn’t last long, one of the parents of the kids you taught wanted to hire you as a model for their clothing magazine which just so happened to pay a lot more than a barista, so you took it.

A year later it would be revealed to you that one of the children’s family you taught had their house broken in to and burguled, their dad had been stabbed and the mother and child had been tied up.

So you loving these children as much as you did started to learn boxing so you could defend them if ever necessary.

After a year of training in boxing you took a page out of Batman’s book and became the vigilate known as ”Flamebird”. Taking name inspiration from you’re training as a firedancer/breather and trapeze artist.

You would end up teaming up with Batman, Robin and Batgirl, though at first Batman was rather suspicious of you but he came to trust you. There was only one member of the batfam who you hadn’t met, which was Nightwing, who had started around the same time as you (or at least so you thought).

You wouldn’t meet Nightwing until Joker had set up three time bombs spread out in Gotham. Batman teamed you up with Nightwing to find one, Batgirl and Robin to find another one and he’d find one himself.

You met up with Nightwing and introduced yourself ”I’m Flamebird, it’s nice to finally meet you”. ”Likewise, Batman has told me a lot of good stuff about you” he said sweetly. ”Really? I’d assume he dosen’t like me” you stated honestly. ”Well, most people assume he hates them so i guess your doing better than them” he explained.

After the quick introduction you two got to work to track down the bomb, you managed to find Joker’s thugs trying to unload it and sneak it in to a hospital. So the two of you started taking the thugs down.

Suprisingly you and Nightwings skills seemed to compliment each other very well as if you’ve been training together for years. When he went right, you went left. When you went over, he went under.

When there was only two goons left Nightwing got to work on disarming the bomb, while you had his back and focused on taking out the henchmen. You finished them off and checked if you could help Nightwing disarm the bomb.

The two of you managed to disarm it and grappled away from the crime scene as the GCPD arrived on the scene. Batman, Robin and Batgirl had also managed to disarm their bombs and Batman had also managed to capture the Joker himself. So you and Nightwing didn’t have to stress to get anywhere else that night.

”How are your flips so effortless and easy? That took me years to perfect” Nightwing commented.

”Oh, i just copy the technique a friend taught me a long time ago, once he perfected his he taught me everything he could so i could perfect mine” you said as your memory drifted back to Dick, Nightwing nodded with an interested face.

”How did you learn to be so efficient with the batons? It’s like your dancing” you commented. ”Honestly same goes for me with the friend thing, he taught me to do it through firedancing” Dick explained.

”Wow, firedancing, that’s really cool” you said as if you weren’t a firedancer yourself. ”Yeah, it’s awesome, me and my friend used to want to put together an act, where we firedanced, while swinging trapeze and we also wanted the trapeze to be on fire” Dick told you which suprised you.

”Really? Me and my friend wanted to do literally that exact same thing” you said suprised. ”Really, God, what a coincidence…” Dick said amazed. The two of you sat in silence for a few seconds until it clicked and you stared eachother deeply in the eyes.

”Dick? Is that you” you asked and Dick eyes widened and he asked ”Y/n?”. You reached up and pulled your mask off and Nightwing did the same and he revealed the face of an older Dick Grayson. ”Dick, it’s you” you said happily and jumped in to his arms.

After hugging for a full minute Dick said ”God, do we have a lot to talk about?”.

He took you to Wayne Manor at the approval of Bruce who after the night full of terrors, had decided you could be trusted with their identities. + Dick had already revealed himself so the rest wouldn’t be so hard to figure out, so he may as well save face and act as if he wanted you to know.

Dick borrowed you some clothes so you could change out of the suit, while you changed he got Alfred to make you both some tea and cookies for the long night of explaining that was ahead.

Once you both had finished the teapot had been emptied and refilled about 3 times and there wasn’t even any cookie crumbs left. It was also very late so Dick offered you to stay the night, which you gratefully accepted.

The two of you decided to have a sleepover like the ones you used to have when you were kids, which meant that the two of you were sharing the bed.

As you lay down next to each other Dick said quietly ”I’m so glad to have you back”. ”Couldn’t have said it better” you said with a smile, then the two of you fell asleep close together as if you hadn’t been seperated for 10 years.

Batfamily members and what I believe they'd do if they were a semi-normal non vigilante family, part one of who knows:

Cass: Prima Ballerina mostly likely somewhere very prestigious like the royal ballet. Though when not touring, or in England. She gives out free lessons to kids in Gotham. Even recording lessons for whsn she is much to busy to teacher in person of over video call.

Jason Todd: Corpse, just kidding. He most likely would have never died. Instead after graduating highschool he would pursue his passion for classic literature. Going to college to get a degree in it. Though he'd also spend time practicing martial arts on the side, teaching it to the kids from his old neighborhood. And using his family's wealth to help restore crime alley. He

Dick Grayson: Even after losing his biological parents tragically he never lost his passion for acrobatics. As a way to cope he'd started gymnastics as a preteen, and kept going. He eventually places in the Olympics in his late teens. He retired not long after, opening his own gym, training students in gymnastics, aerial silks, and even trapeze.

Killing two birds with one stone

Headcanon A: realistic

Donna gets sudden, random flashes of moments from her past lives. Every feeling, every thought, she gets everything. It's quick but vivid. It's something she keeps to herself.

In his old age, after he's retired from Nightwing, Dick becomes a teacher. He's always been fond of children and continues to be. A perfect, quiet existence after a lifetime of chaos.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Donna unintentionally became an astrology girl after a fan gave her her birth chart. What started as a little joke turned into a niche the deeper she went into it.

Dick's hands feel hard. Like rock solid. Years of swinging from poles, trapeze, and ropes hardened them. He soaks his hands in water to soften them back up.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Donna knows she won't die a normal death. She'll ascend to godhood or be reborn as the cycle demands. She'll always have the fond memories of her friends and family but will her new form even remember them?

At some point, Dick becomes immune to loss. He bottles it up and waits until he's fully alone to release his emotions.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Goddess Donna you will always be famous

Dick should have a storyline where he mentors young gymnasts and acrobats in full civilian persona.
