im making headcanons again for star wars and you cant stop me -the first time Anakin tried Obi-Wan's "tea" he had to spittake because what the kark, Master, why is it s p i c y ? Anyways, turns out spending a year or more on Manda'yaim gets you real into behot teas, and Obi-Wan has had a soft spot for Shig ever since he was introduced to it while on the run from Kyr'stad. - Growing up in the temple on Coruscant was fun and all, but what was even better was sneaking out of the temple- and in turn, seeing how far away Obi-Wan could get from his minders before eventually having to turn back. We may think of Obi-Wan as some sort of pinnacle of control, boiled essence of mastery of the force- but in reality? He was Chaos Untold on the creche masters.

-Jango Fett was never particularly "willing", per se, to make a clone army. While he had fallen, yes, while he had suffered, yes, he was a Mandalorian still- even exiled from Mandalorian space, even Dar'Manda as he named himself, even as he divorced himself from the crown of Mand'alor. He was Haat'Mando'ade, and he followed the super commando codex. There's this one line, said by the Kaminoans- something about how the best way to control a slave is to make it think it is free- and we all know of Dooku's machinations. Do you really think Jango would not recognize the man who slaughtered his people at Galidraan? Do you really think he would agree to manufacture child soldiers for the Republic? Even- no, especially after being enslaved himself, how could anyone believe him capable of turning on his own morals like that, without serious Sith Majicks afoot? - I'm not saying that there aren't force sensitive clones, but I am saying that midiclorian counts are pure bullshit for actually measuring one's connection to the force- i would think that they are somewhat like a different organism all together, some symbiotic being that can congregate around force users, but doesn't always- meaning there are force users with low midiclorians but high control in the force, and those with high midiclorians but seemingly no control of the force at all. Midiclorians are also likely not genetic, if they are a symbiotic single cell organism. - ki adi mundi is a bitch and i hate him - While the Mandalorians do not trust the Jedi, that does NOT mean that they are unkind to force users- yes, Kyr'stad may have a harsher view of them, but Kyr'stad is a terrorist group first, and Mando'ade second. Most Ad'e see force sensitives as seers, wise ones, and gifted warriors- they have special training, and special positions, they become treasured guards and Goran'e and Baar'ur'e, Alor'e of tribes and clans due to their visions or gifts. No Mandalorian worth their salt would ever give up a child due to their abilities, ka'ra blessed or not. - Most clones refer to themselves as the Vod'e- or the Vod'e An- Brothers All. First generation clones, trained by the Cuy'val Dar and Jango Fett himself, learned Mando'a straight from the source, and when the Alpha and First gen rank clones began teaching the next generations, they passed on the knowledge as well as they could. Most clones are at least passably fluent in the spoken tongue, and can, at a glance, finger count up to twenty in the language. Only the first few generations can reliably read Mando'a, and as far as is known, writing in the language has just been contained to the Nulls, and a select few of the Alphas. “No, I– oh,” on the ground, curled up into a ball, the shadows deepened into the form of a person. Plo crouched down next to the shivering form, brushing a claw across its shoulder. Immediately, like his touch was a live wire, the person jumped to their feet, skittered back like a spooked horse, and–

Tripped over the yards of fabric pooling at their feet from the oversized cloak they were wearing and landed with a quiet ‘oomf’. Now that they weren’t curled up, Plo could see that it was a child. Small, not an inch of skin showing in the dark, and shivering faintly. 

“Sir,” Wolffe called out quietly from behind him. He motioned to a few scattered pieces of plastoid on the ground, but– 

No, not plastoid. Not just plastoid, anyways. It was a rebreather, not unlike Plo’s own, cracked into several pieces on the ground. It looked like it would fit a human, though it was several sizes too big to fit the child curled up before them.

Six Sentence Sunday - April 4th

Happy Easter to all that celebrate. A new WIP was distracting this week:

Doom didn't expect to get assigned to a third Jedi general. There hadn't been enough Jedi to act as generals at the beginning of the war and years into the war there were even less. Originally he picked his name as a joke, something between him and his batchmates, but he was beginning to feel like his name was a grim prophecy. Normally he'd talk to Fox or Ponds or Thorn about this but Fox never had a Jedi general and the others were dead. His generals weren't the only ones he lost since this war started.

At least he could comm Cody and ask for some information on his new general. Cody served under a Council member and General Kenobi seemed to have worked with more Jedi in the field than average. 

Cody answered quickly and even through the blue tint of the holo Doom can tell his vod was in his greys. Must be on board a ship headed away from a battle for a change. Ever since the Malevolence wiped out most of the Wolfpack, Cody had taken to wearing his blacks and armor unless required otherwise when the chance of an engagement was high.

"Doom. I was wondering when you'd comm. Don't worry, I got my General with me," Cody said by means of greeting. Within moments the holo flickered from Cody's wrist-comm to what appeared to be the comm room aboard the Negotiator.

"Hello there, Doom. We take it you've received word a new general has been assigned to your battalion?" General Kenobi asked kindly but there was something… strained about his expression.

"Yes sir. Is there anything you can tell me about General Antilles?" Doom asked, relieved they could cut to the chase.

General Kenobi hummed thoughtfully as he stroked his beard. Beside him Cody gave his general a fondly exasperated look. No wonder vode liked to assume the two were kriffing if that expression was one Cody wore around his general frequently.

"Jon Antilles is something of an enigma, even by Jedi standards," General Obi-wan admitted, startling both Doom and Cody. "I was rather convinced he had perished on a mission six months into the war. It was only when he defied expectations once more and brought us vital intel last month we were made aware Antilles was still amongst the living."

Doom frowned at that, not liking the implications. "So he's a deserter, sir?"

"Oh, nothing of the sort. Master Antilles answers the will of the Force first and foremost. Informing the council of his whereabouts or his living status is rather low on his priorities. Jedi aren't required to serve the Republic as generals to the GAR for all the Order accepted the task and Antilles made it clear that until recently he felt the Force needed him elsewhere. We had planned to have him work with Clone Intelligence but he surprised us once again requesting to serve in a command position," Kenobi explained. 

Doom was getting a General that was terrible at communicating to point the Order thought he was dead? General Kenobi made it sound like this was a recurring occurrence as well. Maybe Doom was getting punished for failing Generals Tiplar and Tiplee. 

"As for who Master Antilles is as a person, he's a very kind man with a strong sense of justice. You can rest assured Jon will treat your men fairly, Commander. Just…. " General Kenobi trailed off. "Be prepared for the unexpected. Master Antilles was trained by our expert on recovering previously lost force techniques. Master Antilles skillset is bound to be quite unlike any other Jedi's."
