Cuddling headcanons with the aot characters
masterlist
part 1 • part 2 (coming soon) • part 3 (coming soon)
contains :
Mikasa, Eren, Armin, Jean, Sasha, Connie, Historia, Ymir
warnings: mention of a tarantula in Armin's, mention of food in Sasha's, curse words in Eren and Connie's, kisses in Historia and Ymir's, mention of the word 'perv' in Ymir's, I did not proofread ; otherwise it's completely sfw
Tumblr media
Mikasa
She probably cuddles you whenever she's too stressed. Feeling like she's protecting you makes her relax.
She's big spoon most of the time. Again she loves feeling like she's protecting you in some way.
You're both laying on your sides and she's holding you from behind, her hands wrapped around your waist.
She also probably cuddles you more at night, when you're both really tired. Holding you to make you fall asleep more easily.
Maybe, really rarely, but maybe, she can be the little spoon. I mean if you ask her, obviously she's gonna oblige, but if she's really feeling bad and needs comfort she'll really appreciate you holding her.
What I mean is her breaking down in your arms and you soothing her to sleep while holding her. That's the type of comfort I'm talking about.
Tumblr media
Eren
Okay, first things first, if anybody asks him, he's big spoon. But that's such a lie.
Eren is a big baby and wants needs to be held.
He's probably laying his head on your chest or in the crook of your neck while you're rubbing his back.
He also really likes when you talk to him while cuddling. It calms him, he really loves your voice, like way too much.
The best time to cuddle him is when he's having a jealous or possessive episode. This dude is going to be clinging onto you for dear life. Like closing any space between the two of you, to be in contact with you the best he can.
Cuddling Eren is always good. Except in summer. I mean he's all over you. And it's already hot. You don't NEED this weightened blanket. Trust me you don't.
And if you want him to be the big spoon, he'll act like he doesn't mind. But then he'll complain of having a sore arm or something. That bitch 😐.
Tumblr media
Armin
Armin is baby. Please I love him so much. Sorry.
Armin prefers cuddling while facing each other. Weather he's holding you or the other way around. He likes having you close and being able to look at you.
Okay, he may have a preference for being held, but you didn't hear that from me.
He also likes talking to you or listening to you. Most of your cuddle sessions end up in discussions about the strangest things. Like you guys are just laying down and 20 minutes later you're asking yourselves 'do you think a tarantula can stay up on one leg?' or some shit like that.
Okay but study sessions with Armin ending in cuddle sessions. Like. Hear me out. You're just 'taking a break' and you're straddling Armin's lap (not like THAT) and he's holding you and you're just talking, your torso pressed against his, feeling each other's heartbeat. Like IMAGINE.
Tumblr media
Jean
Honestly he's down to cuddle all. the. time. Like bruv, chill. But it's because he loves you too much, can you blame him? Jean is the biggest simp out there.
He likes to hold you as much as he likes to be held. But there are three cuddle positions that he loves most.
First, holding you close by your middle while your head is against his chest and you're both laying on your sides.
Second, classic big spoon. He holding you from behind by your waist. But it's not his favourite because he's not facing you.
Third (his favourite), he's laying on you, head pressed on your chest to hear your heartbeat or in the crook of your neck to feel your pulse.
Yes, Jean checks if you're alive all of the time. I mean it's not his fault you're so perfect he can't believe you're real?
Anyways. Jean also likes to cuddle you in public (read on Sasha's couch) to show you off to others (read to Eren).
Tumblr media
Sasha
Prepare to a lot of post meal cuddles with Sasha. She's always sleepy after eating a lot. And Sasha does often eat a lot.
When Sasha is tired she giggles a lot. Like imagine you're laying comfortably and she just starts giggling? Like, Sasha, babe, wtf?
She prefers to be held. This had to be said. She likes when you're holding her and she's laying her head next to your heart.
She also cuddles you when she had a nightmare. She will literally sneak into your bed at night trying not to wake you up. But if she does wake you up, she'll just tell you that she had a nightmare, asking you to hold her.
But Sasha moves a lot in her sleep. You'll go to bed laying against each other and wake up with your limbs tangled in each other.
Also, being the menace she is, she will put her cold hands under your shirt with the excuse of them being cold and needing to heat up. She's lucky you love her...
Tumblr media
Connie
Okay, I was talking about Sasha being a menace, but this little shit is another level.
He will literally poke you and pinch abruptly for no reason when you're cuddling.
No but honestly, he likes having you laying on top of him and hold you close. He's probably telling you the worst story of all time at the same moment but you both really enjoy the moment.
He likes to maintain eye contact while talking to you so your head is probably propped up on one of your arms.
He appreciates more cuddling in the late afternoon, while the sun goes down to see its rays fade on your face, or some sappy shit like that.
No but cuddling sessions with Connie can be really cool. He's a funny guy and he's very comforting.
And the hand placement!!! Like he has his hands on the small of your back, rubbing it soothingly. You're both having a really good time... And then he pokes you. 😐
Tumblr media
Historia
Probably the cuddliest out of all of them.
Can and will cuddle you in any situation. She takes the occasion to cuddle you anytime she can.
'Hisu we can't cuddle while standing.' 'Why not?'
She doesn't care if she's big spoon or little spoon. She just enjoys basking in your presence so much.
She also likes to hug you from behind while you're cooking or doing something else while standing.
What I mean is, don't feel surprised when you feel hands snaking around your waist and see blond strands of hair on your shoulder from the corner of your eye.
She expects a lot of kisses from you while cuddling, I don't make the rules.
She often plays with your hair when you're both laying down or you're laying your head on her lap. She really likes soothing you to sleep with her nails gently scratching your scalp.
Tumblr media
Ymir
She'll act like she hates cuddling you but she actually craves your physical affection.
You guys probably cuddle more in the morning when you just woke up. Mostly because Ymir is not awake enough to pretend to be annoyed.
She is big spoon all the way you can't change my mind. She likes to hold you while you're both laying on your sides.
Your face is often tucked under her chin so you can't see her smiling. Or she's holding it in her hands while cupping your cheeks (not THESE cheeks you perv) and gazing into your eyes lovingly.
She kisses you a lot when you cuddle. Most of the time out of nowhere. Like she's pouting and 2 seconds later she's kissing you.
The only times she'll cuddle you in public is if she's jealous to show the person who's been eyeing you up and down for the past minutes that you are hers.

Attack on Titan: Annie Leonhart, Mikasa Ackerman, Sasha Braus, Ymir, Christa Lenz, Hange Zoë, Hitch Dreyse, Yelena, Pieck
‼️ Fem Reader ‼️
[Scenario #4] You're sick
---
Tumblr media
Annie Leonhart: She was silent when taking care of you, not taking any bullshit from you nor whining, but although she wouldn't admit it she was worried for you. This time period wasn't keen towards common illnesses.
Mikasa Ackerman: She was protective, making sure you wouldn't get deadly ill, and she kept her eye on you. If she wasn't watching you she would have someone who she trusts to watch over you, but that was unlikely.
Sasha Braus: She didn't know what to do, so she would call for Connie to help you knowing that giving you food wasn't exactly helping. She would be slightly panicked, but with Connie helping her she was bit relaxed knowing you were in good care.
Ymir: She would tease you, being able to display her affection without you being able to run away from her. That wouldn't distract her from making sure you were comfortable during your struggle.
Christa Lenz: She would know to a certain degree how to take care of your illness, making sure you weren't going to accidently hurt yourself in your vulnerable state, but wouldn't necessarily isolate you.
Hange Zoë: She would know exactly how to take care of you, it was no problem for her, she knew it wasn't going to kill you by how your body was reacting to it. She wouldn't stop this opportunity to take of you though.
Hitch Dreyse: She was slightly lazy, or carefree when it came to taking care of you, but she wouldn't let you suffer without her making sure you had some company to dull the ache or pain.
Yelena: She wasn't ignorant to sickness, she knew how to handle when one was, but the likely of someone being sick wasn't common. She would take care of you, even if it meant to ignore her responsibilities for the time being. You would be grateful for her company, and gentleness for you as you got better. She would never leave you alone when you are in need of care.
Pieck: She would take care of you the best she could, not letting a second go by without making sure you were okay. She had a motherly side, and this showed it all.

Who is most likely to give their S/O petnames, and what?

Connie, hands-down, makes the most use of it. He'll drop "babe" left, right and center. "Babe, pass me that bag," "aw, babe, you're so cute", "hey, what does Jean mean, babe?" He's over the top with it and says it within earshot of everyone. Rarely ever uses your name honestly.
Historia drops it accidentally and without much thought. She fluctuates a lot between what she uses but "sweetie" and "honey" often take the cake. "Can you grab that for me, sweetie?" "Honey, no!"
Mikasa rarely, rarely does in casual conversation. But she'll occasionally quip with "you're my love, of course I'm going to protect you". She's all about more ''abstract'' sentiments like "my world".
Jean, like Historia, also often goes with "sweetie". Though he alternates often with "babe" and other sentiments. He usually says it in private conversation but does often replace your name with "my boyfriend/girlfriend/partner" in conversation with other people. Also is prone to calling you "my pretty/handsome girl/boyfriend" or "baby girl/baby boy" to your face.
Zeke really doesn't do petnames. Though occasionally he drops it in conversation with other people. "(Name), my partner, ...."
Pieck is all about petnames! She alternates alot between what she uses. She'll use anything and everything, even ''toast''.
Porco also uses petnames somewhat. Unlike Connie's flamboyant use of "babe", he drops it more casually. Might call you "baby girl/baby boy" if you ask him or respond well to it.
Hange is also pretty 'up there' with the "babe" term. Though they fluctuate a bit with "light of my life", "sweetness", "gorgeous / handsome", especially if they want something or are up to something mischevious.
Ymir often goes with "sweetheart" and "princess". Usually it's done in a teasing manner to get a rise out of you but she can mean it sentimentally too.
Levi calls you "brat".
Erwin actually refers to you as "my girl/my boy"! He often says it when he's endeared, comforting you, or in private.
Sasha often chooses random nicknames! ...Like "hot potato" or "cinnamon roll". Though she does go for sentimental ones, especially when she's wanting something or feeling especially affectionate, like "sweetheart, baby", etc.
Armin probably accidentally dropped "sweetheart" once and then hastily corrected himself, redfaced. Keeps accidentally dropping it and gets so flustered over it, no matter how long you two have been together.
Reiner actually probably cycles through a bunch until you find one that you both like. Uses it fairly regularly and is downright flattered if you do the same.
Annie's is definitely more abstract and circumstantial. If you earned her ire before or did something "over the top" like always hugging her, she probably calls you "koala".

Allegiance: Part 1 | Levi x Reader
masterlist
Summary: You're a wealthy citizen from Stohess. When the survey corps are in the city, you can't help but fall for a cute captain.
Word Count: 2.7k
Author's Note: Song correlated: Cola by Lana Del Rey. Okay This is going to have to be multiple parts because it's already pretty long and I'm not even near the end. Posted: 4/25/24
You grew up in a large home never worrying about your next meal and you never cleaned anything yourself. Your parents had people employed to do so. Your family was one of many other families who could afford MPs to guard and escort your family. While growing up, MPs escorted you to school, shops, and friends' homes. You wore clothes that fit you right and were cleaned properly. There was food when you wanted and life was easy for you. Your family required you to attend Einrich College and you got a degree in chemistry. Though they did not care about having you employed they just wanted you to remain a person with higher education. They didn’t mind you living at home and they wanted you to marry a man with a similar background.
You were fortunate enough to be a free-spirited person. You didn’t worry about titans coming to Stohess because of how close to the center your family lived. Most of your time was spent reading, writing, shopping, and being with friends.
One day your father told you the survey corps was coming to the Military Police Head Quarters in Stohess. The family was going to going to be in attendance at the gala. You and your friends grew up thinking highly of the military and the survey corps. They were so brave and cool for going beyond the walls. However, your adoration for the survey corps depleted around the age of twelve. Your parents prohibited you from joining the cadet corp because they wanted you to attend Einrich College.
When you were at the gala you stood by your parents like you usually did. You were polite to everyone your parents introduced to and made small talk with each official your parents knew.
“I want to introduce you to my good old pal Erwin Smith.” Your dad said to your mother and then glanced at you. You followed your mother and father toward a small group of people who didn’t look social. A guy with dark hair caught your eye. He had one hand in his pocket and he sipped his tea cup then put it behind him on the table. He was kind of cute. He noticed you looking at him and you offered a soft smile. He didn’t return one. “Commander Erwin of the Survey Corp!” Your father greeted a blonde-haired older man. To your surprise, he hugged your dad.
“Warren L/N! Long time no see.” Your father and he both had warm smiles. It must have been nice for your father to see a friend from his past.
“Erwin this is my wife, Cordelia L/N.” Your father motioned towards your mother who respectfully held out a handshake.
“Commander Erwin Smith, nice to meet you.” She said sweetly.
“Please I’m just Erwin to you.” Then he looked at you next. All you could do was smile.
“Erwin this is my daughter, Y/N,” Your father said.
“Y/N, nice to meet you,” Erwin said to you and you stuck out your hand like how your mother did.
“Y/N graduated from Einrich College with a degree in chemistry.” Your father said and you felt slightly embarrassed because you hated when your parents explained you didn’t need a job. “She was fairly vested in becoming a scout when she was younger.” You looked at the man with black hair to see his reaction. He was just staring at you. His attractive gaze made it hard for you to look at him any longer than a second.
“I bet you would’ve been a wonderful scout, Y/N,” Erwin said encouragingly.
“Poor girl can’t even run for more than five minutes.” Your father joked.
“That’s not true, father.” You said trying to not sound annoyed in front of the attractive man.
“Chemistry though? You must be easily able to find a secure job.” Erwin suggested and you started feeling embarrassed.
“Oh, she’s smart, but she hasn’t worked a day in her life. Y/N doesn’t need to get a job.” Your mother said lightly but the shame felt heavy. You stayed quiet and couldn’t look at anyone in the eye.
“I’ve been interested in jobs. I just haven’t found anything that interests me.” You said.
“Well, section commander Hange Zoe—” Erwin motioned to the cute woman next to him. “—studies and experiments on captured titans.” Your parents greeted and shook her hand. She seemed fairly inviting and energetic.
“Yes, titans have interested me—” You noticed the man with the dark hair roll his eyes. “—ever since I kicked a head and it was super light! We haven’t done much biological research on the titans. However, any information we collect is one step closer to solving their mysteries!” She said enthusiastically.
“Wow, I didn’t think there was a branch of the survey corp that experimented on the titans.” You said. You could feel the obsession with the survey corp from your youth slightly return. Only if.
“Yup! Just me and my assistant Moblit! We captured many titans!” Hange said.
“Are you looking for another research assistant?” You asked, thinking it could be a great opportunity to be in the survey corps.
“Unfortunately, Hange’s research is only a small part of the survey corps. You would still need to graduate from the Cadet Corp to be Hange’s assistant.” Erwin said earnestly. You looked at your parents who didn’t let you join. Erwin seemed like he understood that you wanted to join if you had the choice.
“Well, I guess I could always join later right? There’s no age limit?”
“You’d most likely be with a bunch of twelve to fifteen-year-olds. Not something you would enjoy.” Your father said.
“But I’d only be with them for three years and then I could make friends with people my age.” You said.
“Captain Levi joined a little unconventionally.” Erwin motioned to the guy with dark hair. Captain Levi. So that’s his name.
“Nice to meet you, Captain Levi.” You said holding out your hand eager for him to touch you. He looked at your hand and then your eyes. Then he shook your hand. Your heartbeat increased a little. “You joined the cadet corps older than the average?”
“Again he joined the survey corp unconventionally. I recruited him because he excelled with the ODM gear by teaching himself.” Erwin said. You had to face the fact that you missed the age to join the survey corp. You realized deep down you wouldn’t enjoy being with twelve-year-olds like your father said.
“Wow, you taught yourself? That’s really impressive.” You said and looked into his eyes. You hoped he thought he found you pretty. “You are all a smart group of people. How long has it been since you last saw my dad, Commander Erwin?”
“Over maybe twenty years?” Erwin turned to your father.
“Huh, time flies.” Your father said.
“Could they come over for dinner, Father?” You asked hoping for more time to get to know the three. “It would give you more time to catch up? And I could get to know more about Hange’s experiments?” Hange’s face lit up and you looked at Levi who had the same expression on his face. “Maybe we could get to know each other more.” You eyed him up and down despite him not seeming to warm up to you. You wanted him to know you found him attractive.
“Why not?! Erwin are you and your officials available to come over and eat before leaving Stohess?” Your Father asked wholeheartedly.
“I think we’ll have time in two evenings,” Erwin said.
“We could have chicken—” Your mother started.
“Mother no! Let’s have braised beef.” You said.
During the rest of the gala, you couldn’t help yourself from glancing at the survey corps. A few times Levi and you locked eyes. You wanted to keep looking at him but remained focused on every one your parents introduced you to. Why did your father have to mention you barely being able to run? Sure you didn’t run much, but you could improve if you worked at it. Now Levi only knows that you have poor stamina. You needed to find a way to make a good impression on Levi. Perhaps a small gift would make him remember you? And you have a day to find one before the survey corp came over for dinner.
The following day, you begged your mom to disregard your intention to interrupt reading time. You wanted to go shopping in town to find something for Levi. When you told your mom about wanting to find a small gift for Levi she teased you. You instantly regretted it, however, she let you miss reading time to go into town. You asked her to promise you that she won’t tell Levi about the gift until you give it to him. Your mother had one condition about going into town. She told you that you had to have MPs escort you.
In your teen years, you’ve argued with your parents that there was no need for the Military Police to escort you. After graduating from Einrich College you were especially adamant about it. Most of the time it was a losing battle.
You combed your hair and made sure it lay nicely. You put on pearls and made sure your clothes looked nice. You put on a nice full-length dress that hasn’t been worn yet. The dress made your hair color look pretty and stand out.
When you were heading to leave you thought you could sneak out the front door without the MPs. Of course, they followed you and you rolled your eyes because your mother assigned two. One would have been enough. The two MPs with you have been the few employed with your family most of your life.
When walking through the shops with the MPs following you, nothing caught your eye for what Levi may like. It was a gamble because you didn’t know much about him. You wanted to find something small and something he could have with him at all times to remember you. You hoped Levi would like the gift and then start falling for you. Though he did not seem like the kind of guy your parents wanted you to marry. He was a high-ranking official for the survey corps though.
When walking out of a clothing shop you spotted Erwin across the street. He seemed to be alone, no Levi or Hange with him
“Commander Erwin!” You waved and then ran after him the MPs shouted at you not to run and they burst after you. “Hi, commander! Are you out shopping? Are you alone?” He seemed surprised to see you and he glanced at the MPs on either side of you.
“Hello Y/N. Nice day isn’t it?” He said politely.
“Yes! Is Levi here?” You asked. “And Hange?”
“They’re nearby. Possibly getting something in that shop over there,” Erwin pointed at a small cafe that you’ve been to many times.
“It’s so nice to see you! I’m excited for you to come over tomorrow. I’m just in town to buy a gift for Levi but DON’T TELL HIM!” You said excitedly.
“A gift?” Erwin furrowed his eyebrows.
“Yes! But please don’t tell him!” You said. He laughed at your youth.
“I won’t.”
“Thanks! I’m going to talk to him and Hange! See you tomorrow!” You waved and dashed off to the cafe along with the MPs being forced to chase after you.
“MISS L/N! STOP RUNNING!” They yelled. When you got to the cafe in the window you saw Levi and Hange inside. They were sitting at a table with a small plate of treats and cups of tea. Your heart raced. Levi looked so cute sitting there. You turned to the MPs you had known most of your life.
“Do I look okay?” You asked.
“Yes, Miss L/N. Please no more running.”
“I’m sorry,” You said. When you walked in the owner who had known you most of your life gave you a big smile when he spotted you.
“Miss L/N! Your usual?” He asked and you saw Levi and Hange looking at you. You waved at them and you grinned.
“Yes thank you!” You walked over to Levi and Hange. Hange looked excited to see you and Levi looked normal. “Hi Hange, hi Levi.”
“Y/N! What a coincidence!” Hange cheerfully said.
“Hi,” Levi said and sipped his tea. They both glanced at the MPs on either side of you.
“Are you drinking the black tea?” You asked. “This place has the best black tea! I’ve come here since I was a child.”
“Yes, it’s good,” Levi said.
“Wonderful!” You said. “I’m excited for you guys to come over for dinner! I know you’ll like the braised beef!”
“What are you doing in town?” Hanged asked.
“I’m out shopping!” Levi rolled his eyes and though you didn’t feel offended, you knew soon he would be grateful for the gift you’re going to find. “Hey, it’s rude to roll your eyes!” You shoved his shoulder playfully yet hard enough to catch him off guard. Hange laughed.
“She got you there, Levi.”
“Yeah Levi, good thing my parents didn’t let me in the cadet corp, I would beat you up.” You said hoping he would laugh. Hange did.
“Not bad for a spoiled brat like you.” He said with a smirk and wiped off his shoulder.
“Hey, I’m not a spoiled brat!” You shoved him a little harder.
“Miss L/N, he’s humanity's strongest soldier.” One of your MPs said chuckling.
“Yeah, well, that’s only because I’m not in the military regiment.” You and Hange laughed. “Are you guys enjoying Stohess? What do you think of the town?” You asked. The owner of the cafe brought over your usual: a chocolate pastry. “Thank you!” Then the kind owner brought over a chair for you to sit on.
“It’s a nice district, very clean,” Hange said. You looked to Levi and raised his eyebrows waiting for a response.
“Very clean is correct.” You found his voice fairly attractive.
“Wonderful! Stohess is one of the districts with great architecture too.” You said. You started splitting your chocolate pastry into three equal parts. “Here try this it’s delicious!” You offered to Hange and Levi.
“Thank you, Y/N,” Hange said and took a bite. She moaned. Levi took a bite too.
“It’s tasty, thank you,” Levi said.
“You liked that? I don’t think it’s hard to make. Maybe I can try to learn to make it for you.” You said with hope and Levi just stared at you. You smiled at him and noticed him looking up and down at you. Your heart skipped a beat because it seemed like he was checking you out. “I’m excited for you guys to come over tomorrow and I can get to know you both more! I’d love to hear more about your experiments with the titans!” Hange perked up.
“Yes, I am ready for any questions you have. Perhaps your knowledge in chemistry will provide some ideas on gathering more information about the titans?”
“Oh I’m not sure about that, but I’ll do my best.” You noticed the door of the cafe open and Erwin stepping in. Suddenly you felt a wave of embarrassment when he looked at you and then at Levi. “Okay, I should get back to my shopping! I’ll see you tomorrow night then?! Bye!”
“Bye Y/N!” Hange said. You rush off with your MPs following you.
“Bye Commander Erwin!” You rushed off not giving a chance for him to speak.
You spent the rest of the day looking for something for Levi. As the sun started going behind the wall it felt hopeless. Nothing seemed like something Levi would like. The MPs suggested making your way back home, but you kept bargaining for just one more store. While walking past a window display of a store, you realized you may have found your gift. It was a little unconventional, but maybe Levi will remember you even when he leaves Stohess. It was perfect he could always keep your gift with him and it was small. Levi will never forget you after you give him your gift.

Attack on Titan ~Characters with a reader with outworldly powers~
Manga/anime: Attack on Titan
Warnings: spoilers of all the manga
Requested by: @happybunny999
Like you, Eren too has enormous, very powerful powers, so he understands you in a way. He always finds himself in tune with you and loves to talk and exchange opinions with you about your powers. You two have established such a close friendship (in fact, you're the only one who can convince him to do or not do something) he'll ask Armin to protect you before dying.
For Armin you're very similar to Eren, especially due to your powers. In fact, he cares about you as much as he cares about him. He's also interested in you and in your powers because he thinks they could save everyone and you could convince Marley to talk to Eldia and not to fight against it. He'll want to protect you after Eren entrusts you to him.
Even for Mikasa, you and Eren are similar, and she appreciates you very much for always saving and keeping him safe. She wants to fight against you to improve and to be able to save Eren too and, when she needs help to convince him not to do stupid things, she comes to you for help. After Eren's death, she'll want to be with you, since she considers you like a sister.
Jean loves training with you, especially because you teach him tricks to beat an opponent in an easy to understand way. Probably, he's one of the few who doesn't try to protect you: he regularly fights against you, he knows how strong you are and you can protect yourself very well on your own and would defeat all those who should attack you.
Sasha and Connie always ask you for help with their pranks! It all started when you collided with them while they were running away: you made them invisible with your powers, and from there you became their "partner in crime". After Sasha's death, Connie will be closer to you ("I've already lost her, I won't lose you too.").
At first Ymir wasn't interested in you, but then she started to appreciate you more and more because you saved and helped Historia several times. She regularly comes to you for advice on combat and how to best use her titan powers. Furthermore, shortly before dying, she'll entrust Historia to you.
Historia wasn't interested in you at first either, but she started to gain confidence quicker than Ymir when you two were put together in hand-to-hand combat. She's grateful to you for all the times you saved and helped her and, after becoming queen, she'll ask you to become her bodyguard.
Like Jean, Annie too loves to train with you, although she does it not so much to improve to be able to defeat as many giants as possible, but to be able to defeat you and then take you to Marley. However, it'll be after seeing how you fight fiercely to get Eren back with you again she'll deeply admire you.
Reiner and Bertholdt think you know they're actually spies, in fact one day they even tried to capture you, but they didn't succeed; nevertheless, they're actually very surprised you never reported them. Therefore, they still try to capture you, even if all their plans fail. Ironically, the more desperate their attempts to bring you to Marley, the more you'll form a sort of friendship!
Levi has always been very protective of you. At first he was this only because Erwin told him so, then he started to become very fond of you and protect you because he wanted it. During Survey Corp's expeditions, he orders you to stay close to him and not move away from him (once you did, and he was terribly anxious you might die).
Hange and Erwin are very intrigued and interested in your powers. You're always at the center of their plans, especially in Erwin's, since he considers you a very important resource: in fact, he wanted to protect you, so he entrusted you to Levi's protection. Instead, unlike Erwin, who prefers to protect you from afar, Hange prefers to be close to you, especially talking to you about your powers.
Ymir Fritz was very surprised the first time you two met, especially due to your powers. She often asks you for help in controlling her powers, and she's always very happy to spend time with you. In fact, after she dies, she'll be really happy you'll be able to meet her in the Paths and, before disappearing after Eren's death, she'll thank you for always being with her.

Mental Hospital AU! Yandere! Attack on Titan x Female Reader ~| Reiner Ending |~
“Y/N! I told Erwin you weren’t with the rest of the group and he went mad. He sent a whole group just to look for you!” Moblit said.
”Moblit.! Where is everyone?” Y/N asked.
”Hange and Erwin are getting some doctors out of here whilst everyone else looks for anyone injured or in need to help.” Moblit explained.
”L-let’s get going.” Y/N said as the two quickly walked away and into the dimly lit hallway.
The lights were still a dark red and some of the hallways weren’t even visible so the pair avoided those areas. Most hallways were either trashed or were empty to the point were even that was suspicious.
”Did anyone find any patients.?” Y/N asked.
”We’ve found a few from other peoples Wards but not any from your Ward. I think some of the children escaped too..” Moblit said.
”What about the emergency exits? Are they blocked off?” Y/N asks nervously.
”A few are which is good because the patients can’t leave. But bad for us because we can’t leave either.” Moblit muttered.
The two walked in silence once again to prevent any sort of surprise attack from the patients, until Moblit radio started to report something.
”H-Hange?! Where are you guys? I have Y/N with me.” Moblit spoke into the radio.
“We’re in the Cafeteria. Come over here now.”  Hange said on the radio.
”O-okay!” Moblit said before looking at Y/N. “Hange and Erwin are in the Cafeteria. Hange told me to go there now.”
”Let’s go then!” Y/N said before rushing towards the Cafeteria.
For some reason, the hallways were cleaner and more silent than the ones Y/N had seen before. She shrugged it off as they continued walking in and out of hallways.
”By any chance.. did you happen to see and of my friends?” Y/N asked.
”I did see them, yes. I was able to get them out safely so that they wouldn’t stay here longer.” Moblit answered whilst smiling at her.
”Thank you Moblit.” Y/N said before reaching the Cafeteria doors.
The two walked in and looked around the Cafeteria, confused. No one was there.. all of the plastic utensils seemed to be scattered along with trays and plates. Hange and Erwin were no where to be seen.
”Are you sure they said Cafeteria?” Y/N asked.
”M-maybe they are at the exit and are waiting for us outside.” Moblit said.
They walked towards the exit and saw two duffel bags. Curious, Moblit opened them and instantly backed away with a disgusted look on his face.
”M-Moblit.? What happened.. what’s in the bag?” Y/N asked whilst stepping forward.
”N-No! Don’t look in there!” Moblit exclaimed but it was too late.
Opening the bag, Y/N saw a body bruised and beaten to the point where it looked unrecognisable. She fell backwards and let out a small whimper.
”W-who is that?!” Y/N asked.
”They have goggles.” Moblit muttered under his breath. “It’s Hange.”
”I can’t even imagine what’s in the other bag.” Y/N said as she clasped a hand over her mouth, trying not to vomit. “If I had to guess.. it must be Erwin.!”
”I’ll go get help. Y/N, you stay here and radio me with this extra radio.” Moblit said whilst handing Hange’s radio. “I’ll be right back with people or supplies.”
Moblit ran off, leaving Y/N near the duffel bags. Clattering noises could be heard from a distance, making Y/N shift towards the bodies a bit closer. There was just something wrong about this. Hange and Erwin were in the Cafeteria but now they were in the duffel bags? There was no blood on the floor meaning.. the person on the radio wasn’t Hange.
Grabbing the radio, Y/N began twisting the volume and dialled Moblits radio.
“M-Moblit! Can you hear me?!” Y/N spoke into the radio. “Moblit are you okay?!”
A hand calloused Y/N’s mouth and an arm wrapped around her stomach. The figure pulled her back into their chest and shushed her muffled screams.
”Darling, I’ve been looking for you!” The voice called out.
In the corner of her eye, Y/N saw Reiner. In that moment she struggled in his grasp, making him tighten his grip around her. He continued to shush her until she eventually stopped moving and began to breathe heavily.
”Good girl. I didn’t want to use that drug on you, it’s bad for a pretty girl like you.” Reiner said as he continued to hold her.
”Oi Reiner. What do we do about the bodies?” Porco asked.
”Just leave them here or throw them away. Colt should be arriving any moment now and Connie is still wandering the Hospital since he hasn’t found Y/N.” Reiner muttered.
”R-Reiner. You should let Y/N go now.! She must be feeling scared right now-“ Bertolt began to say as he looked at Y/N.
”No Bertolt.” Reiner bluntly said as he cradled her.
Soon, Colt had arrived with a bag of supplies and walked towards the group. He stood next to a little boy with blonde hair just like him. Beside the boy was a young, brunette girl who looked similar to Reiner and beside her was Pieck.
“Zeke’s outside with a van. We have to get going now.” Annie said as she walked in and saw everyone. “Y/N..”
”Don’t speak to her, Annie.” Reiner said as he looked at Y/N. “If I move my hand, will you promise not to scream?”
Y/N nodded quickly and soon Reiner move his hand off her mouth. She gasped as soon as the hand moved, finally letting her breath again. Bertolt bent to her level and reached out to help her but soon backed away, scared he might hurt her.
”I won’t tell anyone!” Y/N coughed out, making Reiner look at her confused.
”What’re you talking about?” Reiner asked as he still held her.
”I promise I won’t tell the authorities if you just let me go! My friends are-“ Y/N started to say before Reiner slapped his hand in front of her mouth again.
”Don’t say stuff like that, Darling.” Reiner said. “You’re coming with us whether you like it or not.”
”R-Reiner! Let her breath please!” Bertolt begged.
”She’s gotta learn to behave and not say stuff like that.” Reiner replied before turning to his ‘friends’. “You guys get going with Bertolt. I’ll handle her.”
”R-Reiner. What are we going to do when we escape?” the small brunette asked.
”Don’t worry Gabi. Zeke has it figured out.” Reiner reassured as everyone started to leave.
Tears trickled down Y/N’s face and onto Reiners hand, making him look at her unhappy. Annie and Pieck looked sympathetically at Y/N and mouthed a ‘sorry’ at her before rushing the kids out. Colt and Porco held bags on their back and rushed out after them and into a van.
”Darling, why are you crying?” Reiner asked. “Just think about it! You and I can get married, have those kids I was talking about and we can have so much fun together. Imagine how pretty you’ll look when you’re all dressed up in that wedding dress-“
”R-Reiner.” Bertolt interrupted nervously. Reiner looked at the sweating boy in anger.
”I thought I told you to go in the van. What is it?” Reiner asked, annoyed.
”I thought we agreed to share Y/N..” Bertolt said.
”Right.. did you actually think I was going to share such a beautiful goddess with you? You’ve been pissing me off ever since we agreed on Y/N coming with us.” Reiner said.
”B-but you promised.!” Bertolt said.
Reiner moved his hand from Y/N’s mouth to throat and held her to his chest. With his other hand, Reiner pulled out a pistol from his back pocket and held it, pointing Bertolt.
“N-No! Stop it! Reiner don’t shoot-“ Y/N screamed out.
”Quiet Baby. I don’t want to put this in your mouth and shoot you too.” Reiner said as he smirked at Bertolt, who has stepped back.
The gun sound itself was terrifying and the scene before Y/N was even worse. Bertolt dropped to the floor as the multiple wounds let out blood.
”There’s no one to stop us Darling!~” Reiner said excitedly as he began to pepper her neck with kisses.
.
.
.
Stuck in a room. Chained by the ankle with a leg iron. Only socialising with him, her kids and occasionally Annie, Pieck and Gabi. Y/N looked at the clock, Reiner would be coming home soon.
”Mommy! When is dad coming home to play?” Chase asked.
”S-soon honey.” Y/N said as she looked at her eldest son. “Go get your brothers, dinner is ready and we’re just waiting for-“
The front door opened to reveal Reiner, who looked tired.
”Guys! Dads home!” Chase yelled out.
Two other boys came running downstairs and hugged their dad. Reiner hugged them back and ruffled their hair before telling them to go wash their hands for dinner. Making his way to Y/N, he sat beside and pulled her into his lap and kissed her passionately.
”Did you have a good day, Darling?” Reiner asked. Y/N hummed in response, making Reiner annoyed.
”Speak with your words, I want to hear your voice. You don’t want to go back in the basement do you? It hurt me and you the last time I punished you like that.” Reiner whispered.
“I h-had a good day.” Y/N quickly said.
”That’s nice. I don’t see my new boy anywhere.. is he sleeping?” Reiner asked.
”I put him in h-his crib. Luke and Ryder were watching over h-him.” Y/N said, making Reiner smile.
”That’s good. Let’s have dinner now, the boys are waiting.” Reiner said.
“Yes..” Y/N muttered.
“Yes what? Don’t make me remind you especially after all these years, baby.” Reiner threatened making Y/N gulp.
”Yes Darling.” Y/N whispered.
”Well done. Love you babe.” Reiner said whilst picker her up and carrying her to the table.

----------
Eren Yeager. This was the name of the person I despised the most. Pretty ironic as his two best friends were also mine, although I considered one of them more than just a friend.
I did not just hate him because he was usually screaming around and behaving like the king of our god forsaken world.
Of course it was annoying, but I could have lived with that if he actually was that strong. In reality his child play was nothing but an illusion. Deep down he knew that he was not almighty and despite having the guts to follow his ideals, he easily drowned in self-pity when he realized that his will and his power did not overlap enough to success.
The problem with that was that he carelessly jumped into every dangerous situation which led Armin and Mikasa and in the end also me to follow him into misery.
Mikasa was the one who used to save Eren's ass whenever he failed. That was the true reason I despised him. If Mikasa might not be able to save him one day it would kill her, either physically or mentally and I could not bear that. So I gave my best to help and support her.
Frustratingly my strength was not sufficient to protect her completely. Today had proven that once again.
“How's Mikasa doing?”, Hannes' voice ripped me out of my depressing thoughts.
“Her injuries aren't severe, although I fear a concussion”, Armin declared.
I was sitting beside him and holding his hand as our eyes were fixated on the unconscious Mikasa.
Only a few minutes ago Reiner and Berthold had turned out to be the Armored and Colossal Titan and captured Eren and Ymir. In the fight many of us had been injured.
I had some burn wounds myself, but nothing that limited me much.
What bothered me more was the overwhelming guilt inside of me. I had not been able to reach Mikasa in time.
“You two didn't eat anything yet, did you?”, Hannes addressed Armin and me. “I'll get you something.”
We shook our heads.
“You should eat something”, he insisted and placed his hands on our heads.
After he had left, my gaze wandered over to the other badly injured.
What were we supposed to do now?
Hanji was unconscious, unable to give us any orders.
The horses were trapped on the other side of the walls.
I knew that Mikasa would be furious when she found out that nobody was following the titan shifters. But it was pointless. Right now there was nothing we could do but wait.
When I woke up Mikasa was sitting at the edge of the wall hugging her knees. Apparently I had been more exhausted than I had wanted to admit.
“Oh, (f/n)! You're awake”, Armin greeted me relieved.
I sent him a small smile before moving over to Mikasa. I saw tears in the corner of her eyes.
“Mikasa? I'm sorry”, I whispered getting her attention.
Her eyes locked on mine for a moment before looking ahead again. “It wasn't your fault. I wasn't able to protect him and now over five hours have passed”, she mumbled.
I inched closer to her and hugged her arm to comfort her and probably also myself.
I hated seeing her like this. If Eren was the one making her happy, I had to get him back no matter what.
“Ah, Mikasa, you're awake”, Hannes' noticed as he approached us and threw something toward us: field rations.
He started talking about the old times and reminded us that Eren would resist and wait for us to help him. His words seemed to work as Armin and Mikasa appeared confident instead of depressed now.
After eating we stood up and waited for the horse elevators to arrive.
Soon later we were on the way toward the forest where Hanji had assumed the titan shifters to rest until night.
I was behind Mikasa together with Jean and Hannes, Armin beside her.
After a while we had to give up on the Long-Distance Enemy Scouting Formation and gather.
The forest was right in front of us, but we were surrounded by titans. Especially the military police had difficulties with that as they was not used to move outside the walls.
We split into two groups evading the titans in front of us and switched over to our ODM Gears as soon as we reached the trees.
Our group also split up to increase our chance of finding Eren and the others. But just as we moved into different directions a scream of a titan erupted.
Without hesitation we approached the source of the scream discovering that it had come from the titan form of Ymir.
We thought that she had escaped Reiner and Berthold until Christa ended up in her mouth.
Unfortunately she was faster than our ODM Gear and as soon as the forest ended she jumped onto the transformed Reiner.
How were we supposed to catch up with them now?
We jumped back onto our horses and quickly rode ahead.
I watched Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie and Sasha move up to Reiner, Ymir, Berthold and Eren, but Hannes stopped me from doing the same. “There's more than one way to protect and support them!”, he shouted.
Far ahead I spotted something that made me anxious. If I could detect them from my spot, they had to be titans.
They were approaching us at a rapid pace and were led by Commandant Erwin. What was he thinking?
After a while Hannes instructed the others to jump down, what they did as soon as they evaluated the situation.
Last second we managed to evade the titans, but the titan shifters were not that lucky and soon surrounded.
But we scouts were not made to stand by and watch. Hesitation was not an option, when our Commandant ordered us to attack.
Reiner had to take his hands away from Berthold and Eren to save them. This was our chance to get him back, but no matter where my eyes were locked on, there was always a titan.
Commandant Erwin instructed us to move forward and use our chance motivating us to continue, although his arm was trapped between the teeth of a titan.
One soldier switched over to his ODMG to save Erwin while we rode into the direction of countless titans.
I heard many around us die, but forced myself to concentrate on my goal of somehow following Mikasa who was evading one titan after another.
When I arrived I saw Berthold dodging her attack.
To my horror Mikasa fell right into the hand of a titan earning a scream of pain from her.
Everything faded from my perception as my body moved on its own and killed the titan.
I caught Mikasa mid-air and landed with her on my horse. “Are you alright?”, I worried.
“Thanks. It's nothing”, she claimed, though I heard the pain in her voice.
Before I could do anything, she jumped off the horse again to catch the falling Eren.
I would never stand a chance against him. I had known that from the beginning, but being confronted with it again and again, hurt.
The titans did not stop attacking me of course. So I was not able to focus on Mikasa.
Reiner had started throwing titans meaning Mikasa and Eren had to be behind us. Otherwise he would not be trying to stop us.
But was it not too risky to throw them at us? After all Eren could get eaten as well.
Here and there I was able to save the life of a military police soldier. Ironic that they had been the best of their year only to die in a real situation while I was still alive and even saved some of them without being under the top ten.
“Eren! Mikasa!” Armin's scream distracted me almost at the risk of my life as I barely dodged the attack of a titan.
As much as I wanted to help Mikasa. I could not do that if I was dead.
When the titan in front of me dropped to the ground I saw Hannes flying over to Eren and Mikasa.
I heard Armin screaming and holding an unconscious Jean. They were defenseless. I had to trust Hannes and help my best friend.
Eren's scream startled me and made me miss my target.
I cut off the titan's hand right before he could get a grip of Armin.
In the distance I saw that no one was flying around the titan in front of Eren and Mikasa anymore. Another titan was approaching them as well. Was it all over now?
It would be pointless to persuade myself that I could reach them in time when I knew painfully well that it was impossible. And even if I could … would I be willing to let Armin and Jean die to save Eren and Mikasa? Why did I even have to think about such cruel decisions?
Suddenly another scream of Eren erupted.
The titan in front of me stopped moving before running toward the source of the noise like all the other titans.
Had Eren just saved us? Dammit! How had the situation escalated like that?
“Armin? Are you alright?” I concentrated back on what was important right now.
“Yeah. Thanks to you. But Jean ...”
“Is he ...?” I did not dare to finish my sentence.
“He's alive”, Armin assured me.
I nodded and whistled hoping to get one or more horses.
To my relief it worked.
I took Jean from Armin's arms and helped him to get Jean with him onto the horse.
Then I got onto one myself and took another one with me for Eren.
When I arrived next to the duo, Eren was carrying Mikasa on his back.
“Eren!”, I made him aware of me and extended my hand to get Mikasa on my horse.
When Eren simply stared at me I requested him to hurry. After all we did not know how long the titans would concentrate on Reiner and Berthold.
Eren put Mikasa behind me and got onto the other horse.
I moved Mikasa's hands to my waist and reminded her to hold on.
She rested her head on my back and embraced me tightly making me blush.
Luckily no one paid attention to it as they were too busy with escaping.
Back inside the walls Eren took Mikasa off my horse.
I followed them silently to the infirmary.
As soon as Mikasa's wounds had been treated Armin joined us. “Eren. Commandant Erwin wants to see you.”
The two boys left Mikasa and me alone as I promised them to watch over her.
Mikasa's hand gently touched my burned cheek. “You should get a treatment yourself.”
“I'm fine”, I assured her with a smile and placed my hand over hers. “I'm sorry that I wasn't fast and strong enough. I failed you two times in one day”, I recalled disappointed.
Her face displayed confusion as her hand left my face. “What do you mean? You saved my life.”
“And let you get hurt”, I reminded her.
“When did saving me become your job?”, she questioned with a soft scowl.
I averted her eyes. “It's not your job to protect Eren either, is it? But you still do it because you love him”, I stated.
My gaze moved over to her for a second and I immediately noticed her blush.
She hid her face in her scarf. “I just don't want to lose him. He's the only family I've left”, she admitted.
“I know.” I sighed. “Just don't forget that I'm here, okay? I promise you that I won't run away or leave you behind. No matter what it is, if it makes you happy, I'll help you with it”, I swore to both of us.
“Eren always rushes away from me and I can do nothing but follow if I don't want to give him up. It hurt me and still does. I never realized I did the same with you”, Mikasa proclaimed and took my hand.
That made me face her again giving me the possibility to adore her smile.
“Thank you, (f/n). For not giving up on me.”
Before I could overthink it I kissed her.
Countless emotions exploded inside of me when she actually kissed me back.
After a while she pulled back with soft eyes and a loving smile. “Please never stop staying by my side.”

Tumblr media
“In her own way, Annie had tried to warn you, attempted to throw crumbs of the truth in hopes you would have backed off and saved yourself the trouble of the future.
But it had already been too late.”
Tumblr media
It surprised you how adequately your gear had seemed to slip onto your body like a glove. The straps hugged your thighs, chest, and torso flawlessly and did not apply excessive pressure onto the skin underneath your garments. Though you had already worn the short tan jacket the day prior, you still would have preferred to forgo it. The heat waves that sunk through the cloth had made themselves at home and burrowed deep within your body, causing your chest to perspire slightly.
So when the soldier secured the practice gear to your waist, you internally groaned at the extra layer.
"First, we'll evaluate what you have! Anyone unable to do this can't even serve as a decoy, you'll be shipped straight to the fields!"
You had never been in the audience of a user of ODM gear before, therefore you had zilch experience and understanding of how to employ or control the equipment. You knew that your goal was to stay upright and accustom your body to hanging in the air, but that was all. While you didn't expect to completely fall over and bust your head open, you certainly did not foresee the results you exhibited.
"Look at you go, Y/N! You're almost as steady as me!" Connie praised you.
You turned to your left and there he hung, with his arms slightly flailing every five seconds to regain his balance. You met Connie earlier that day, and he thanked you for your sacrifice the day prior — referring to the redirection of the commandants wrath during the enlistment ceremony, which you took as light teasing. Connie had hazel eyes and thin brows that were always contorted into some kind of emotion, which you found that you admired him for. All in all, he was a homely person.
"Connie, y'know this isn't a dance competition, right? Why're your shoulders moving to a non-existent beat?" You quipped in return.
"It's not non-existent, it's the beat of my heart which pumps for you!" He replied.
"Oh really? Well, can you shimmy yourself towards Sasha and let me know how she's doin'?"
At that, the girl in topic projected her voice, "I'm doing so good, it's almost boring!" She exclaimed. Connie moved his head so that you could see her proving her point. True to her words, she seemed almost as steady as yourself, though with an additional pout.
"No fields for you then." You informed her lightheartedly. In truth, you were relieved. Not that you didn't think of her as capable, you just didn't want her to go away. "Tell Jean, I asked how the ground tastes." You chuckled.
Sasha and Connie both guffawed at your teasing. Jean had performed his examination at the time as you did, though you couldn't properly see how well he functioned since he was beside Sasha, which meant you had both her and the boy next to you in the way.
"He said some very mean words that I cannot say!" She responded.
"I can! He said to fuck off and that his skills would wipe the floor with yours!" Connie told you.
"How did he say all that with dirt in his mouth?" You jested, to which Connie responded.
"He's used to talking with his mouth full." He snorted.
"Ew, Connie..." You grimaced as you attempted to withhold the giggles that threatened to flee your mouth.
"Cadet Y/N!" The soldier that inspected your form called out. They approached you and began to lower your wires so that your boots gently touched the ground. "Passed exceptionally. You were as durable as stone, are you sure you haven't done this before?" They asked and moved to free you from your straps.
Their words of praise unexpectedly caused your face to warm slightly, "I'm sure." You replied.
"It's surprising to see such potential when you're still so young, congratulations." They continued and dismissed you to the rest of your class.
You moved into the crowd of cadets that had either already completed their evaluation or had yet to begin, and stood beside Marco, who had stayed to watch your own. "Great job, Y/N!" He praised you with a bright smile and raised his hand for a high five.
Your hand smacked his upon arrival. "Thanks, you too. You passed so quickly." You praised him in return, which he waved off dismissively.
"Yeah, but I didn't get nearly as much commending as you did from your examiner. Really, you were amazing."
You grinned at the boy because, how could you not? Marco was a beacon of light, you didn't doubt that even on the darkest of nights his presence alone could have acted as a lantern. "Thank you, Marc."
"Jean isn't doing bad either, he's a natural." He added. At the mention of the boy, you turned to check on his progress.
He really had done excellent, perhaps he did have a slight quiver to his movements, but that was most likely a side effect of first day jitters. You knew he hadn't been as confident as he had presented himself to be that morning. His examiner wasted no time to lower him back onto the ground, which you presumed was to give him the news.
"Here he comes." You said as you watched him approach you two with his head held high, a telltale sign of his prideful results.
"I might just become the next Captain Levi... MP edition." Was what he had the audacity to utter with both of his hands on his hips.
"More like his horse." You quipped.
Jean ignored your comment and continued, "Marco, did you see me wave? I waved at you man." He asked the boy.
Marco grinned as radiantly as he did with you, "I did! I waved back." He responded with a bob of his head.
"Thanks. Say, Y/N, did you see me up there too or did this guy hog all of your attention?" He jutted a thumb towards his friend.
"I saw you, Jean." You replied impishly. "Since when were you such an attention whore?"
"Since I did so well on a test that Jaeger is failing miserably at!" He replied, which caused your brow to raise questioningly.
"He's what?"
Jean gestured towards where Eren had been assigned to undergo his aptitude test, and the sight had baffled you. Eren hung upside down limply while his arms dangled from their shoulders, and he donned a pitiful expression.
"What is your major malfunction, Jaeger? Straighten yourself up!" The commandant ordered.
You winced at the sight. He had seemed to have an obscene amount of ambition and drive that would have surely propelled him a lengthy way, perhaps not to kill all the Titans in the world, but far enough that the effort would have counted. You couldn't fathom how he was able to dwindle his chances, so grievously, that he toppled over, literally.
"That's weird." You commented. Even if he didn't have the skills or physical competence to excel on the wires, you doubted that would be enough reason for him to lose his balance completely.
"Sheesh, that's a horrible sight." Said a sudden voice beside you, one that you had immediately recognized. "Kind of feel bad for the guy."
Reiner stood under the spotlight of the sun with his arms crossed over his chest. That was the very first time you had ever seen him under the vivid light of day. Your previous meetings had always been at moments when the clouds had slightly obstructed the sun's blaze or when the sun had fled for rest and was replaced by the moon. His hair mimicked a golden halo and his amber eyes shone resplendently. He was true gold. You adored the color gold.
"You? Feeling sorry for someone? Reiner you don't fool anyone." Jean joked lightheartedly.
Reiner threw his head back in a hearty laugh, "Is that really what you think of me? Geez, I'm not some kind of cold hearted monster."
"That face he's making is enough to make any monster wince anyway." You said.
"A real contradiction to those two, right?" Marco said as he gestured towards Sasha and Connie who had yet to be lowered from their positions. You surmised it was less of a lack of ability and more of the fact that the examiners were helpless in conjuring a way to do so safely, considering the pair were oscillating like a pendulum to reach each other's hands. You did not know their reasoning and to be honest you weren't quite sure if you desired to.
"We should try that." Reiner suggested with a playful smirk.
You scoffed, "In your dreams, big guy."
You hadn't noticed the companion beside him, until they peeped in surprise. It was a boy with dark brown hair and pale green eyes, his nose was sloped in the way Annie's was, and he was taller than the blonde. You didn't think much of him on your first meeting, but you did remember noting how gentle he had seemed at the time.
Appearances can be very deceptive.
"Let me guess... Bertolt?" You asked the boy to which his eyes widened in further surprise.
"Did someone talk about me?" He asked hesitantly as his eyes briefly glanced at his friend.
You chuckled, "No, not exactly, though I think you were mentioned in passing." You replied. In truth, you had simply recalled the name that Reiner had uttered in shock on your first meeting. Bertolt was the friend that ventured into the snow to find him.
"I'm guessing you're Y/N?" He hypothesized and offered you a palm to shake.
You took it and pointed a suspicious look at Reiner, "Did someone talk about me?" You asked.
The blonde interjected hastily, "Briefly. Very briefly." He said sternly and you didn't know whether to believe his claim or not. Nonetheless, it forced a smile to form on your face.
"Sure."
"Attention!" The commandant called out suddenly, immediately causing each cadet to straighten their posture. "Anyone who has completed their aptitude test and passed will go ahead and break in their own gear for themselves, today! Don't get yourselves killed." He announced, which caused an uproar of cheers from the crowd of cadets.
"Poor Eren." You mumbled as you watched him lug himself towards his friends on the verge of tears.
"Whatever, he'll live." Jean rolled his eyes apathetically, he clearly did not harbor any sympathy for the brunet. "Let's go so that I can wipe the floor with you for all that shit talking you were doing earlier!" He declared and slung one arm around your neck, the other having done the same to Marco.
"Sasha! Come on!" You called out to the girl as you began to walk with the crowd. She bounded towards you with a grin, not willing to get left behind.
"Connie, we're not waiting for you!" She informed the boy who nearly leapt out of his restraints in response.
"Don't be fake, slow down!" He insisted.
You all made your way towards the woodlands that the commandant instructed you to use for your training. It was a short trip and one filled with bets on who would 'eat shit' first. The verdant fields and arrays of brindle patterns were spellbinding and the rich smell of the light moss filled your nostrils. The trees were perfect for your equipment.
After a brisk but thorough lecture and guide as to how to operate your gear, you tightened the belts on your waist and slightly hopped to acquire a feel as to how the extra weight would affect your agility.
"Remember to angle your hips and aim your grappling hooks before you fire! Then, unleashing the gas should propel you forward. Your landing technique is going to be entirely on your part, just remember you have two legs, so don't be afraid to use them. We're starting here, and ending just up this path. Take your time, don't rush, and be careful!"
"It's a little bulky, but I don't think it'll be too hard to stay in the air." You commented as you assessed your equipment.
If you aimed near the lower branch attachments, your legs would pay the price in painful skids, as well as your speed. On the other hand, if you tried at the apex, your velocity would increase, but so would your use of gas, which was a detail you were directed to conserve as much of as you could. The central body of the trees would be your ideal targets, and give you the ability to work your way up.
Your posture was also another detail you took into consideration. For example, your legs and torso — if you were to thrust the latter but keep the former conjoined at the knees, your body would have interfered with the flow of the air around you. Opening your legs wide would have given you a slight boost and allowed for them to cut through the thick wall of air that awaited you, but in terms of velocity, you would fare far greater if you combined the two techniques and left a small air pocket for the air to glide through your legs, which would slice through flawlessly. Bending them at your knees and thrusting your upper body forward would also prove to benefit your agility.
For the first practice round, you were to forgo your swords and focus on your movements. Your fingers gripped your handles and you experimentally applied light pressure to the top trigger, which operated your wires, and as you had expected, nothing came out of the action. That had meant that the triggers weren't sensitive, which was a positive in your eyes, as less accidents were prone to happen. You reminded yourself that your core muscles were the key to success, as long as you used them to stay upright, the rest would be up to your aim and quick thinking.
"What are we standing around for? That last to arrive at the finish line is Titan fodder!" Sasha exclaimed and bursted ahead with a giggle.
"Oh, Sasha... that's not..." Jean began before he was interrupted by another boisterous voice.
"There's no finish line! But, I'll be damned if I let potato girl beat me!" Connie yelled and followed after.
Jean simply rolled his eyes in response and sighed in disapproval. Hypocritically, he then shifted his head to look back at you and Marco. "Well... I'm not losing either, see ya!" He announced and leapt off his feet.
"Be careful! This is your first time, you shouldn't be so confident!" Marco scolded and began to chase the three, though he did not forget to bid you well before he fled. "Good luck, Y/N! Break a leg! Or, actually don't! Don't do that!"
You snickered at his words as you watched the four bound off. Turning towards the two behind you, you taunted, "Make sure not to choke on my dust, alright?" And then proceeded to launch yourself into the air with the use of your hooks.
Reiner cackled and Bertolt gaped. "They're just going for it, huh?" The brunet uttered, mostly towards himself, though his friend had found his words amusing.
Your pace began steady as you accustomed yourself to the feeling of your body being jerked forwards and downwards. The higher you propelled yourself, the clearer your sight became. It was as if your eyes had built in aiming reticles, for every tree you gazed at the most ideal strength spot had seemed to glow. Your body moved on its own, twisting and warping itself as you gained speed. You quickly caught up to the others who had attained a head start, and Reiner and Bertolt had not seemed far behind either.
It was when you were at the peak of a curvet that the world seemed to decelerate for you once again. Your senses heightened and you felt the wind card its delicate fingers through your hair as the sun pawed at the skin of your face. The sage leaves, the color of Stefan's eyes, were illuminated gorgeously by its rays and crisp as they flew every which way due to the branches being ruffled by your movements. Pellucid and invigorating oxygen filled your lungs, and caused a buoyant sound to flee from your lips. You were falling, willingly, but you felt as though you had grown feathered wings and were given the chance to chase your freedom.
The whirring of the wires from nearby cadets drew your consciousness back and your gaze drifted to the bodies surrounding you. Most were rigid in their movements, which affected their fluidity, but they were adaptive and seemed to learn quickly.
Curiously, you peered behind you and there you found Reiner. He looked to have complete control of his body and did not waver. You were shocked at his maneuverability, considering his broadness, though it was a pleasant surprise. You almost praised him, until-
You gasped, "Wait Reiner, look out!" You warned, though your words were all for naught.
In his advances, he failed to notice a thick branch that protruded from a tree right before him. You attempted to thwart the collision, but at the speed in which he flew, there wasn't much you could have done before his stomach slammed directly into it. He groaned at the contact and his body folded in on itself, forcing his grappling hook to stray from its course and flail without purpose. He began to slip from his position and descended towards the ground.
You reacted quicker and spun around to head in his direction, sending your anchors to seize ahold of the tree he collided with. You arrived in seconds, released one of your gear handles and ran down the bole to reach him before he could plummet. Your palm gripped his wrist just in the nick of time and halted his decline.
Everything had happened in succession and quickly, so you didn't have time to register your movements until they had already been done. You heaved in the aftermath of your momentary panic with wide eyes, "What the hell?" You said. "You scared the shit out of me, what happened?"
He gaped, "I-I don't know. I was distracted, is all."
"What distracted you so heavily that you didn't see that big ass branch in your way?"
He didn't reply, only sputtered incoherent phrases as his cheeks tinted lightly, which caused you to raise your brow. Though you soon relented and ceased your questioning.
You scoffed lightly, "I should let you go for scaring me like that." You said with a smirk.
"Please don't." He mumbled guiltily.
You chuckled at that, "I promise, I won't let you go. I'll catch you when you fall."
His eyes softened as a boyish smile formed on his lips at your words, "Always?"
The genuine question had caught you off guard and you felt your insides and cheeks warm at the sincere, almost intimate, tone of his voice, "Y-yeah, sure." You cursed yourself internally for such an awkward response. "I promise, Reiner."
His hair was tousled slightly, though its length couldn't have given much away. His cheeks remained a baby pink, which you told yourself was from the adrenaline of the fall, and his golden eyes stared into your own. There was a minute amount of astonishment in them, as if he were processing newfound information, information you were ignorant about. Though, the slight dilation they experienced was cute, in some way, to you.
"Reiner." Stated a firm voice.
Your heads pivoted in their direction, and you caught sight of Bertolt on the tree directly across from the one you both dangled from. What surprised you was his stare. It flickered between the two of you repeatedly and hastily, almost in a panic. It was, in every way, utterly opposing to the warm and courteous one he had directed at you earlier that day.
It had been borderline baleful.
"Ooh! What a compromising position we have found you in, Y/N." Sasha purred as she perched on a tree, effectively diverting your attention from the other brunet.
Looking her way was a mistake on your part, for you should have known better. Connie sat beside her with his arms wrapped around himself and his lips puckered as he smooched the air. The sight caused both you and the boy you gripped to gasp in horror.
"We're not even doing anything!" You defended.
"Yeah, whatever. C'mon love birds, you're gonna lose the race." Jean said with a yawn as he zipped past you. He seemed to have grasped the hang of the controls pretty quickly and struggled minimally. The obnoxious sounds of Connie and Sasha's faux smooches did not falter even as they too rejoined him.
With a sigh you muttered, "They're not wrong, we'll fall behind."
"Right... my pride could not handle losing to those idiots." Reiner admitted.
You chuckled, "I'm gonna let go now. You should ready your anchor."
He agreed and followed through, granting you a mellow smile, "Thanks by the way, hero... Also, let's not mention this ever again though, alright?" He said with a wounded ego, and with one last spare glance, he took off.
You laughed airily to yourself, and prepared to follow, but as you searched your surroundings for a fit area to anchor your self to, you saw that Bertolt remained immobile from his position. He continued to glare at you for a few moments longer, before he glanced in the direction of his friend and followed.
"What's his sudden problem?" You whispered to yourself, fully expecting no reply, but being startled when you were granted one.
"Maybe he's jealous."
You visibly jumped, before you relaxed at the sight of the girl you came to know. "Holy shit, Mikasa. We need to get you a bell." You told the girl as you recalled her first sudden appearance the day prior. "What are you talking about?" You asked.
The girl stood on another tree and moved herself nearer to the one you stood on. She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. That's just the vibe I got, but I think that's mostly due to personal experience. You enforce that feeling onto a lot of people, y'know?" She told you, though there was no malice laced in her tone. She had genuinely felt that way.
Her words puzzled you because, what did she mean by that?
"What?"
"Never mind that." She shook her head. "I came because I need your help... or- more like Eren does." She informed you.
"Eren needs my help?" You asked.
She nodded briefly, "Apparently so. Come with me?" She asked.
You had guessed it had to do with the aptitude exam, considering how painfully he had bombed it. You didn't blame him for reaching out. "Yeah, sure. We have to finish this practice run first though." You agreed.
She hummed in agreement, before her gaze turned sly and slid into your own. "Would you like to race?" She asked with a slight smirk present on her features.
The wind whipped through your hair at the mere ferocity in her irises. It was playful in the way that whoever lost would have the fact hung over their head for the rest of their years as a cadet.
It excited you.
Your eyes matched hers and you grinned cunningly. "You're on."
At your words, both of you remained stagnant for three seconds before you hooked your anchors and zipped away in unison.
You allowed your body to do most of the work as your legs and arms moved on their own accord. It was as if there was prior knowledge ingrained into your bones, the formula to success hidden in your marrow. You dodged person after person and surpassed the pinnacle of their speed. There was no reasoning involved and no resistance met. If your body required you to apply acrobatics and preform several flips to thrust yourself further, you did just that, experience was insignificant.
By the time you spotted the clearing, the sun casted an orange hue and you threw your legs forward so that you could reach the area first. The both of you landed with a skid on the dirt layered with light gravel. Your chests heaved slightly and neither of you dared to speak until you regained your composure. When you finally allowed yourself to glance up, your eyes met hers and you saw the adrenaline she harbored from your intense race. It mirrored your own.
The state of torpor that engulfed the atmosphere broke as you heard a clack on the ground. You looked towards the sound and found the soldier stationed at the end mark, their clipboard and papers scattered below them. Their expression was broad and stupefied as they gaped at your forms.
They exhaled heavily before asking, "Names?"
"Y/N."
"Ackerman."
They scrambled to gather their belongings, before they hastily scribbled on their clipboard.
"You're dismissed..." The soldier informed you both.
"Where's everyone else?" You asked as you searched your perimeters and found it vacant.
"...You're the first ones to get here." They informed you.
Both of you cocked your heads in perplexity. Even though you had both lingered behind everyone else and engaged in conversation, you had completed your training before they had.
"Well, which one of us won- I mean, landed first?" Mikasa asked.
The soldier hesitated before they responded, "I-I don't know. I'm afraid, my eyes couldn't keep up." They stated. "Your celerity, maneuverability, momentum and velocity are supreme. I haven't seen anything like it in a while, if ever."
"This is our first time on ODM," You informed them of the obvious. "Why are you tryin' to flatter us?" You asked as you crossed your arms.
"I'm just stating it as I see it-"
"Booo!" Sasha jested as she approached the end of the woods. She was behind Jean and Marco but in front of Connie, though not by much. "How'd you get here so fast?!"
"W-when did Mikasa get here?" Jean asked as he landed on the ground and dusted himself off hastily. "And when did you get in front of us?" He directed his question at you.
"Congrats on the win, Y/N! No Titan meal from you this time!" Marco beamed.
"I need the proof! Did you take a short cut or something?" Connie questioned you suspiciously.
"No way, I won fair and square." You stated vehemently.
"No you didn't, they said they couldn't tell which one of us won." Mikasa reminded you.
"Well, out of us two I didn't. But, out of the four of them, I am not the Titan fodder." You stated. "Where're the other two, by the way?" You asked. Reiner and Bertolt had yet to make their appearance and you doubted they would have strayed far behind the rest of you.
The four shrugged their shoulders in response, before the soldier from before garnered your attention once again. "I'm going to need your names, please come this way." They instructed the others.
"We should go, too. Eren is waiting and I'm sure Armin is growing tired of his whining, though he won't admit it." Mikasa told you. "We shouldn't waste anymore daylight."
"Right, lead the way." You agreed and headed off towards a separate walkway so that you wouldn't interfere with the other cadets in the midst of their training. You decided you could question Reiner about his disappearance later that day, if you were granted the opportunity.
You engaged in light chatter with the girl for the rest of your journey. She seemed to have had warmed up to you marginally since her initial hostile attitude towards you. She appreciated your effort on the wellbeing of her hair and mentioned that it proved effective in her first day of training, which placed a smile onto your face. You informed her of your thoughts of leaving your hair be, in regards to the length, and she offered to teach you how to braid it, should the need arise, considering you had no prior knowledge towards that subject.
You had quite enjoyed that conversation.
Upon arrival at the wire mechanism training grounds, you spotted Eren already strapped and ready to continue his attempts. You had to commend the boy for his persistence, especially so when he had already been humbled by most of your class. He was not alone, for a familiar blonde was at his side, his tender expression comforting the brunet.
Once he had noticed your presence, he perked up dramatically and hope filled his expression. You could feel his desperation from where you stood, and it caused you to wince slightly for you weren't sure if you were to be of much aid and you hoped you didn't disappoint.
"Y/N, thank god you're here." Eren exhaled in relief. "I'm desperate, and I heard you got one of the best scores in our class."
"I'll help as well as I can, Eren, but I can't promise anything." You told him.
"I totally understand that, I'll take anything at this point. Any pointers you have, you can lay them on me."
At that, the blonde stepped forward and introduced himself, "Hello, I'm Armin. Thank you for helping Eren, he needs all that he can get." The boy stated with a gentle smile. He had meant no harm with his statement, but his friend begged to differ.
"Armin." Eren gritted. "It's fine when I say it."
The blonde giggled, "Sorry, Eren."
"Y/N, and no worries, Eren's no stranger to me, so I don't mind." You replied to which the brunet grinned.
"We should get started soon." Mikasa stated.
"Right." You agreed. "Alright, so tell me what you've been doing in terms of your body, so far."
"Well, I've been doing what Mikasa and Armin have been telling me. Which is, keeping a loose but balanced stance." He replied.
You hummed in thought, "That's correct, but those are things your body should already be performing for you. In my opinion, the secret is at your core. As in, your core strength. " You explained.
"My core strength? Like, my gut?" Eren asked.
"You could say that. What I mean is, you should keep yourself relaxed and balanced, like what Mikasa and Armin mentioned, but while also clenching your gut slightly. Oh! And keep your torso elevated."
"All at the same time?"
"Yeah, I know it might seem like a lot, but..." You pondered on a method to simplify your words. "Think of it like, as if you were holding an egg." You reiterated.
"An egg?" He repeated.
"Yeah, yer holding an egg, but'cha start to run with it."
"Oh no, don't drop it Eren!" Armin warned his friend.
"Exactly, don't drop it Eren. And let's say, you're going to cook it later, but ya hate scrambled eggs."
Eren nods insistently, "I do hate them scrambled! I love runny yolk."
"Good, so don't shake it. Otherwise, you'll scramble the yolk. Are ya picking up what I'm putting down?" You asked.
"Run with the egg, but don't scramble or drop it... do you hate scrambled eggs too?" He asked hesitantly.
You hadn't been sure if he was genuinely curious about your preferences or if he had truly not understood your analogy. "No- Eren, I'm talkin' about that stiff feeling in a certain part of your body as you run with somethin' as fragile as an egg. That's how your core should work while you're up there." You explained.
"Oh! I get it now! You're saying I should keep my gut steady for balance but the rest of my body should react normally, as it should instinctively try to keep me steady." He says.
"Yes!" You exclaimed, before you hastily reeled your enthusiasm back into your throat after your unexpected outburst. You realized you had grown more invested than you previously thought yourself to be. "That's it, just picture yourself with the egg and you'll be fine." You reassured the boy.
He nodded resolutely and the fierce determination that lived in his irises returned, he did not plan on failing any longer, and if he did, you had no doubt that he would continue to try, come what may. "Pull me up, Mikasa." He demanded.
The weight on his feet gradually lightened and he enforced all of your tips as best as he could have. To your surprise, and his, he remained upright for what had seemed like the very first time, considering the reactions it garnered. You saw the relief and gratitude flood into his pupils, the beacons of hope had been lit... until he began to tip forward once again before any of you could even think to move. His head hit the ground loudly and he squawked in pain.
"Eren!" Both Mikasa and Armin yelled in unison. They ran forward to lift the boy up, which revealed the bloody gash on his forehead.
You grimaced, "You'll have to get that looked at."
"Ugh, I don't know what's going wrong." He groaned in frustration and affliction.
"Me neither, you should not be failing this miserably." You stated.
Mikasa glared at you in response, "Y/N." It was a warning to shut your mouth.
You shook your head, "No, truly. I don't mean any harm by that. There's genuinely no explanation to what this does to his body - as in, physically throw him forward."
Armin piped up in your defense, "I agree, the only thing I could think of is faulty equipment but I highly doubt the commandant would forfeit a thorough examination." He elucidated.
"We need to get Eren to the infirmary." Mikasa asserted, and Armin aided her in unstrapping the leather before they began to drag him forward.
"That's it. I'm done?" Eren muttered as if it physically tormented him to annunciate his thoughts. "I can't accept that. I won't."
"We can only hope that it will come to you tomorrow, Eren. Don't lose hope." Armin reassured. "Maybe a good nights rest is what you need." He suggested.
"And if not, then that's fine too." Mikasa added sternly.
Eren looked at her as if the mere notion had appalled him, "Mikasa, how could you say that? You of all people should best know the reason that I can't give up." He scolded.
"Sometimes you have to face the brunt of the truth, Eren. She's not here to sugarcoat the situation for you anymore, and I won't attempt to be that person. Sometimes, the only way to live is to be realistic, and it'll be over my dead body that I don't see you live a long life." She explained with furrowed brows.
Mikasa spoke aloud her true thoughts and they were not words spoken impetuously, they were hand plucked from the stem of her heart. She was not cruel with him, she was telling him what she deemed necessary for his ears in order to force him to prioritize his life, just as she always had.
"I don't need you to do that! If you're not going to baby me with your words then don't baby me with your actions. I don't need a new mother!"
That was definitely a conversation that you would have preferred to have not been present for, it seemed to have emanated from a personal level, one you had yet to reach.
"Guys!" Armin quelled their impeding disagreement, "Calm down. Eren, I think what Mikasa means to say is that it's fine too if you want to take a break! Maybe we can use that time to ask some others for help? Though, who would we ask?" He continued.
You decided that if you didn't prove to be of any yourself, that didn't have to mean the same for the others. "Try asking Jean, his hubris isn't so illogical considering how cognizant he seemed to be on the reigns of today's training." You suggested.
The bruised boy grimaced, "That pragmatist? He would never give me the time of day." He shook his head.
You hummed in agreement, "You're probably right. Though, you should still ask. I would recommend Connie, or maybe even Sasha, but I don't know if they would be willing or much help." You surmised aloud, before a thought crossed your mind, "Oh, you could ask Reiner. Bertolt and him were pretty proficient with the controls."
'Even if he did have a slip up that needed rescuing.' You diverted internally.
"Reiner and Bertolt? The big ones right? Yeah, that could work." He mused.
A small stream of blood ran its way past his forehead and towards his brow, before he scrunched the skin in discomfort. "I should let you guys go, you need the infirmary more than I thought. Geez Eren, is your head steaming?" You questioned and cocked your head for a better angle.
"It's not that bad." He said as he attempted to clutch his hairline.
"Sure it's not, tough guy." You shook your head in amusement at his determination to underplay his wound. "The next time we see each other will more than likely be tomorrow when you preform for the commandant, so good luck." You told him and then turned towards one of your many roommates. "I'll see you later, Mikasa." You threw a minor wave her way, and lastly focused on the third of the completed trio. "It was nice to meet you, Armin."
"Same to you! Thank you for your help." The blonde expressed his gratitude. "Have a safe trip." He joked, which caused you to chuckle.
"You too." You responded and pivoted on your foot to wash up for supper.
You enjoyed the company of those three. Their characters collaborated well and they seemed to stabilize one another. It wasn't an alliance of competition or circumstance, they were meant to fight beside each other. If one was down, there was minimal condemning, and instead, the others would pick up the slack. They took each other's frequencies and studied their vertex's in order to accommodate themselves in a solicitude manner.
In an agonizing assessment, you realized they mirrored your wonder trio.
A what if scenario personified right before your eyes, and it tormented your mind.
Tumblr media
"I need to fuckin' piss so bad." You muttered to yourself as you laid under your covers.
It had been late into the night, though midnight had yet to arrive and you were nestled into your comforter, in the process of dozing off, before your bladder began to cry for release. It was unexpected, as it was not a regular occurrence for your body.
"Just go." Annie whispered harshly. She laid across from you and was inevitably the only girl submitted to your whining. "We have outhouses for a reason."
"But, it's late." You reminded her, though what you had meant to say was that it was dark and that intimidated you, but of course, you wouldn't allow yourself to admit the fact aloud. "Plus, what if the commandant decides to check in on us like he did yesterday? We only made it by a hair, and even then he was still suspicious."
"That was because it was our first night. Besides, if he catches you, you can just tell him that you needed to relieve yourself, he isn't that big of an asshole. Just be quick."
"That's true, I guess..." You relented.
Truthfully, you would have usually had no qualms with sneaking your way into an outhouse, but venturing alone at the hour it was had proved to be daunting to you. You had never really grown out of the fatuous fear of the dark, there was no reason to since Stefan was around. Though, even through the two years you had spent alone in the refugee camp, there was never an instance in which you had to conquer your fear considering your focal dilemma was surviving your nightmares.
Even so, you acquiesced and slipped on your brown jacket before you padded lightly down your ladder to voyage into the night. Like you had expected, there was minimal glim from the man made light sources surrounding you, though the moon proved to be faithful in your temporary endeavor. The rusty hinges on the wooden door of the outhouse screeched when you entered and the sound frightened you momentarily. You accomplished your goal, hastily so, and were on your way back to the barracks, when the guiding light of the moon swelled and caught your attention.
Instinctively, you moved to gaze at the sky. The captivating, dusky, and starry night sky that beared the burden of your profound stare coupled with the weight of the moon. It was ethereal in an ineffable manner, in a way that was inconceivable to your mind when you pondered on your ability to number each and every detail it flaunted. The stars were by no means symmetrical, whether they were measured by their width or the size of the space inbetween them, but even then, they were so imperfectly perfect; it was a heavenly facet of the life you allowed yourself to live.
The sky reminds you of someone. — Someone you had recently found you pressured yourself to contort into a haze in your amygdala.
You did not want to, but you saw his eyes, his lashes, his button nose, his dark brows, and his fluffy hair in everything from the wispy clouds to the constellations that formed his features. And it should have brought peace upon your mind but in reality it brought tears to your eyes, because all it did was force the resurfacing of his weeps, shrieks, and cries of your name to your ears. He asked why you had failed to protect him, what was the reason for your abandonment, and if his memory ever wrung your remorse and penitence. He had already beared a prolonged list of derelict promises, and you cleaved your name with your bare hands directly at the bottom.
Your initials made it to the record of people he had lost and in turn, his own had made it to yours.
"Hey, this might sound crazy but... I think I know you."
The sudden voice had startled you and you hastily fluttered your tears away. It came as no surprise to you who had made their abrupt appearance, as the universe had no qualms with parading around the amount of amusement reuniting the two of you had brought upon it. It never crossed your mind to complain, though.
"We've really gotta stop meeting like this. It's getting repetitive." You said with a gentle smile.
Reiner laughed in the way that caused his shoulders to shake, "We do, or else I'd have no choice but to think you're stalking me."
You chuckled, "You wish," It was only then that you noted his attire which consisted of his normal garments, but with the addition of the dark green hood thrown atop. "Did you go somewhere?" You asked with a curious tilt to your head.
"Yeah, I just got back. I had to help a friend." He replied with a nod and then observed your own choice of clothing. "Did you sneak off somewhere?" He asked curiously.
"I had to piss." You stated and motioned towards the outhouses that stood aways behind you.
"Shadis lets you guys go after curfew? Bertolt did the same yesterday and the verbal beating he got was no joke." He said, though his words held no remorse, if anything he had seemed amused by the memory.
"What the commandant doesn't know won't hurt him." You replied with a shrug.
"That so?"
"Mhm."
"Sooo, you'd be down to accompany me somewhere really quick?" He asked with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Though, with Reiner it was as if that glint never fled his pupils.
You crossed your arms defensively, "I don't let just anyone kidnap me, y'know? Where would we even be goin'?"
"I just wanna show you something, it's not far."
You pondered the thought for a moment, though it admittedly took little to no effort to persuade you. Your pause had been for dramatic effect. "Fine."
He hummed in amusement, what it was exactly that he had found amusing, you didn't know. "That was easy." He stated and pivoted on his toes to begin your late night journey.
You scoffed at his words, "I am not easy." You told him as you began to trail after.
"Doesn't this remind you of the first time we met?" He deflected.
"I don't really remember that day." You lied.
"That's a lie." He pointed out. "Either way, they're very much alike."
"How?"
"I'm taking you somewhere you haven't been," He stated and then smirked at his next words, "Somewhere you begged me to take you to."
"First of all, I never begged you, the first time nor this time, so don't flatter yourself." You reminded him.
"So you do remember? Either you're indecisive... or you're nervous." He teased.
He led you into the outskirts of the camp, there was less moonlight guiding you through and you reached what looked to be the beginning of a grove. "There's hardly anything to be nervous about." You said.
"I'd beg to differ." He rebutted.
"Are you saying I make you nervous?" You asked and gasped in faux amazement, "Reiner, am I intimidating to you?"
His face looked appalled, "Okay, I said nervous not intimidated, back up." He reminded you.
"Is this your attempt at flattering someone? Telling them that they make you nervous?" You asked.
"It's hard to make a guy like me nervous, take it as a compliment."
"Shadis would disagree."
He groaned, "Okay miss expert, do you think you can one up me?"
You laughed at his dare, "At flattering someone? No shit." And then pondered your words before you spoke them aloud, "Your teeth are like stars."
His brows furrowed in confusion, "What is that supposed to mean?"
"They're yellow and far apart."
He chortled suddenly and clamped a hand over his mouth, "Are you serious?!" He cried, though his voice was heavily muffled. You snickered at his response, which only made his other hand rise to join the one on his face.
You couldn't contain your giggles any longer and allowed them to flow out freely, loud as they were. He attempted to mutter further complaints, though you didn't catch what exactly they were. "I'm kidding! I swear."
"I don't believe you." He mumbled.
"No really," you reassured him and your smile grew mellow, "You have a nice smile." You said unexpectedly.
His palms slowly dropped from his mouth and as if you purloined his breath with mere words, the only thing he thought to exhale was, "Oh."
Your compliment registered only seconds after, and the sincerity at which you had admitted such a thing made you panic, "Well, I meant I like your smile." You said and that statement did not help your case. "I mean! Everyone does, actually!" You forced yourself to laugh in an attempt to ease the situation. "Like not just me specifically, I'm sure everyone else does too. Because saying that about just myself would be real creepy, right?" At that point you had rambled in an effort to save your pride, because if you knew Reiner, you knew that flattery such as that would simply inflate his ego.
Though, his response was a contradiction to your thoughts, for he simply shrugged lightly and reassured you softly, "I don't know, I mean... I like your smile too." He said those words whilst his eyes stared wholeheartedly into your own, and you had no other option than to believe him. "I like a lot of things about you, actually." He added.
You heard yourself exhale in surprise and there was a pillow of warmth that coddled the inside of your chest, a warmth that you felt spread to every crevice of your body, and your fingers met to fidget together. "Oh." You murmured.
He tittered breathily, "Yeah," His eyes flickered from your face to the scene before him, before he hastily spoke, "Oh, look! We're here!" His voice was an octave higher than the usual deep tone it resided in, and his words were more boisterous than he had intended. You also hadn't fully arrived yet, there was still a few feet needed to stand on the land he had taken you to, though you guessed it was his panic that forced him to say so.
The sight was no disappointment.
You arrived at a small clearing in the center of the grove you walked in and the trees parted before your eyes. The verdant field that laid there was by no means vast, the crowns of the trees still shielded most of it from the moon, though there were thick shafts of light that lit up the center most points. Surprisingly, the greenery paired with the celestial glow was not what pilfered the oxygen from your lungs.
The plethora of rows upon rows of rich bundled daisies that sprouted and stood nobly at attention were entrancing. Their milky petals glowed under the stray rays of moonlight, and their golden center sparkled like a million fragments of champagne zircon. The leaves that stemmed beneath them were thriving and curved beautifully, though slightly ruffled by the refreshing breeze that swept past.
You stepped slowly through the small field and scanned the flowers you walked by, just like the stars they were so asymmetrical; so imperfectly perfect. "Daisies." You whispered as you recalled their names — kudos to a twelve year old blonde with dreams that were bigger than he had ever had the chance to grow.
"I thought you might like this," He said as he followed closely behind you, "Even though they're classified as weeds." He mentioned with a small grimace.
"I guess even weeds can be beautiful," You said as you sat on your calves and reached over to pet the tops of the petals. "And apparently have great skincare." You mentioned as you felt their silky white faces.
He let out an airy laugh at your words and joined you on the ground, "I saw this earlier, when I was out with some others. Call it cheesy but, it reminded me of you." He stated and you had thought he was finished but, considering how quiet it was out and further from the cabins, the whisper that followed made your ears strain but allowed the words to be received. "A lot of things remind me of you."
Your heart rate sped up in response and you kept your face directed at the plants below you in an effort to conceal the smile that fought to form itself onto your lips, "So, you think of me a lot." You teased lightly.
He sputtered momentarily before he found his voice, "Well yeah- but I stop afterwards. Like, it's not all the time, that would be... creepy, huh?"
You looked at him and recited his earlier response, "I don't know, I mean... I think about you a lot too."
He hummed in nervousness as his sculpted, no longer as youthful, cheeks tinted and his palms patted at the ground around him almost as if in search for something. Suddenly, his hand briskly found its way directly in front of your face, obstructing your view of his own. You tilted your head and allowed your eyes to adjust to the sudden change in proximity.
A flower.
He had offered you a flower that sat delicately in between his index and thumb, the stem only wilted slightly due to the weight of the corolla. Your eyes broadened at the sweet gesture, and you were reminded of the loving exchange you had two years prior with the two other boys that never left your mind, though it had been different then. When they had done it, it made you feel secure and content, and it only further solidified your love, but when Reiner offered you a daisy — a daisy he held before him to shield your view of his rosy cheeks and hopeful eyes that shined alike a million fragments of champagne zircon — the feelings were contrasting.
Where the former sealed your adoration with cement into your heart, the latter created an alien and tender sensation that blossomed like a flower bed in spring, as if there was frost that previously coated their roots and the fresh adoration that bloomed inside of your chest had caused it to melt; and the liquified ice only acted as the irrigation to further aid in the sprouting of the sowed seeds inside the garden of your chest.
That familiar warmth spread throughout the nooks and crannies of your body, the one that caused you to play with your fingers. You halted those actions to instead, pluck the flower from between his pale fingers and your eyes flew to your lap.
You gulped, "Yer so cheesy." You whispered and dared yourself to glance back up to his gentle face.
The tint had still sat nestled into his skin, though he too had dared himself to chance a glance at your face and when your eyes met his, they did not leave. "I don't hear you complaining." He whispered with the same amount of demure laced in his tone.
You giggled airily, "Thank you. For the flower I mean."
He hummed in acceptance to your gratitude and moved to gaze at the moon that the trees had partly cumbered with their branches and leaves. "I've uh- always wondered," He began as steadily as he could have, though you had a feeling he had only spoke to divert from the minor overtone of his offering. "Did your wish ever end up coming true?" He asked.
"My wish?" You asked in confusion.
"From the forest, on our second meeting with the matches." He reminded you.
The realization dawned upon you then, he had meant the birthday wish for Stefan and Cielo. "Oh, I never made a wish. Although, it could probably be classified as one? Either way it'd be too early to be able to tell. Well, that and I don't think I meant it as a wish, really." You told him. You had wanted to make them proud on your own accord so that if it ever was to happen, it would be due to your actions and not because of some silly strings of fate.
He nodded in understanding, "Well, there's always next year... or is it this year?" He pondered to himself. "It's actually coming up in the late winter isn't it?" He asked.
"Yeah, it is." You said and it delighted you that he had remembered. "Wait... next?" You uttered after his words had registered.
"Why not? Birthdays are a yearly occasion, you know." He stated.
You furrowed your brows in thought. You hadn't considered the possibility of doing so, and a year prior you most likely would have shoved the idea away without a second thought. Though, at the mental state you were at in that moment, you found yourself pining for a chance to show the boys that you indeed still thought of them, that their memory had not been forgotten. Your earlier thoughts on Cielo had secured that desire, as you felt guilty that your mind continually forced you to obscure his face in your mental, in fear of the melancholy and culpability it transpired within you.
"I guess I... wouldn't mind that, it'd even give me a reason to celebrate something rather than doing nothing. I don't want to spend those days cooped up in a forest anymore, I want to actually celebrate it, not mourn it." You spoke your thoughts aloud, before a mellow grin found its way onto your face. "And if the others find me or something, I'll just tell them I'm celebrating my own birthday, hell- they'd probably enliven it." You said as you thought of their rumbustious natures.
He chuckled in amusement, "That's true." He agreed and then he glanced at the sky once more, "We should probably start heading back, or else Bertolt might end up sending a search team for me soon." He said, almost guiltily.
You snorted, "That or he would just come armed and ready to look for you himself." You added as you lifted yourself from the ground.
Reiner followed and threw his head back in a laugh. You began to walk down the path you had came from, and the mention of the tall brunet forced you to ask what you had been curious of earlier that day. "Hey, Reiner?" You called.
"Hm?" He hummed to indicate that he had heard you, though he kept his trek through the trees.
"Why did you guys take so long to finish the race we had on ODM earlier?" You asked.
His breath visibly halted briefly before he steadied himself and responded, "We uh... the race, huh? You mean Bertolt and I?" He clarified.
"Yeah, everyone got there before both of you guys, and I don't recall either of you struggling with the gear. Sasha even told me earlier that they ended up having to wait even longer after they checked in, for the two of you." You stated curiously.
He nodded in understanding, "We stopped to help some others, it took longer than expected. There were a few collisions." He explained.
"Oh, mister nice guy all of a sudden?" You teased.
He scoffed lightheartedly, "I was always benevolent, didn't I help you see that frozen river-lake thingy the first time we met?" He reminded you.
"Not without a few terms and conditions of your own." You reminded him in return which he simply laughed off. "Not so benevolent anymore, huh?" You said which caused him to laugh harder.
"They were valid terms!"
"'Tell me why you're out here.' Or 'Take off your hood.'? Those are valid to you?" You asked incredulously.
"I had to make sure you weren't a Titan." He defended himself.
You laughed at his audacity, "Okay sure, funny guy."
"I sure am." He agreed pridefully.
You spent the rest of your walk back to the barracks bantering amongst one another, and when there was a brief moment of silence, it was never uncomfortable. If anything, it gently laid itself in between your bodies and kept you warm for your journey. You made it back in what felt like minutes, which was probably so, but you had a feeling that it did not matter whether you spent hours or days with the blonde, it would never feel enough.
You stood by the steps that led to the girls cabin, where the two of you were required to part. "Good night, Reiner. I'll see you tomorrow." You said.
He nodded his head in agreement, "Good night, Y/N. I look forward to it." He responded and turned to walk towards his own sleeping quarters, though not without one last fleeting glance in your direction.
You watched him leave momentarily, before you quietly turned the knob on the door and entered the dark cabin. Upon closing the door, you sighed in relief that you had made it back safely and without being caught by your intimidating commandant. The slight grip of your fingers called your attention and it was only then that you noticed that you had yet to let go of the daisy Reiner had gifted you. You smiled at it fondly and twirled on your toes to lean against the door before you sighed affectionately.
It was safe to say that exchange had not fled your mind and it did not plan to anytime soon.
You blew air into your own face and calmed your heart rate, you decided that you needed to slide yourself into bed and not dally any longer. You tiptoed through the middle walkway and towards the back where your bunk had laid, squinting your eyes in search of your ladder, before the sound of a match igniting fluttered through the air. The moment your head turned towards the noise, the low glow of a small candle caused you to halt your movements.
"That was a long piss." Annie said as she sat on Sasha's bed.
"Did you like- get stuck in the outhouse or something, Y/N?" Sasha asked with a yawn. The brunette had also been awake, though there had been a noticeable struggle to keep her eyelids open.
"That happened to me earlier too, it's true." Ymir added. She sat on her own bottom bunk across from the others with Krista at her side,
"You should've told one of us to go with you, Y/N." The small blonde suggested.
"That'd be embarrassing, I would have stayed until I could figure it out myself too." Mikasa stated. She too had stayed in her bed, beside Sasha.
"Geez, are all of you awake? Why?" You whispered and gestured towards the flame in Annie's hands. "And turn that off, you'll wake everyone else, more than you already have."
"I didn't wake them up, they were nosey on their own accords." She whispered in return. "And I don't believe the story of you getting trapped... who were you with?" She asked suspiciously. "Was it Eren?"
"It was who? Y/N, was it Eren?" Mikasa asked, suddenly very attentive to your response.
"What? No, why would it be Eren?"
Sasha piped up next, "Ohhhh, I wouldn't be surprised if she was with Reiner!" She whispered as best as she could have with excitement laced in her tone. Your eyes widened in response and that forced the others to voice their surprise as well.
"The big blonde?" Ymir grimaced and shook her head. "I expected better from you, Y/N."
"Oh, I've seen him before! He's kind of nice, sometimes." Krista added excitedly.
"The one you held hands with earlier?" Mikasa asked, which caused the rest to turn their heads towards the ravenette in surprise. "What?" She responded cluelessly.
"You did what?" Annie asked, her brow was furrowed in concern.
"I didn't hold hands with him. Mikasa's confused, I just saved him from fallin' onto his ass, and grabbed his wrist, not his hand." You defended yourself.
"But you still went out with him tonight?" Ymir asked dubiously.
You sighed, "No-"
"What's that in your hand?" Sasha asked and you would've shut her mouth with that very hand before she could have finished, if you had the chance to. In unison, all five of their gazes slowly drifted towards your fingers, where the daisy laid limp.
You swiftly moved it behind your back and uttered, "Nothing." You said hastily.
"Was that a- did he give you a flower?!" Krista asked as she cupped a dainty hand onto her mouth. "That's so nice of him."
"You like flowers?" Ymir genuinely asked the girl beside her, but then she redirected her questioning gaze to you once again, though that time it was as if the thought had never crossed her mind. "Wait, YOU like flowers?"
"Is that so unbelievable?" You asked.
"Well.. kinda, you just don't seem like the type." She stated and you didn't know if she had meant it in that way but it almost felt insulting to be considered as anything but a person who adored blossoms.
"Which means?"
"Nothing serious," She replied.
"Did you know the commandant came to check on us?" Mikasa asked suddenly.
"He did what?" You responded. The idea frightened you and you looked to the other girls in search for confirmation. "Did he?"
Sasha snickered, "He did, and guess what... Annie had to pretend to be you! She did the voice and everything!"
"It was pretty convincing to be honest." Ymir commented to which Krista nodded in agreement.
"Annie, for real?" You asked the girl.
"I don't wanna talk about it. It was embarrassing as is." She stated and blew out the candle before she placed it on the small table. "We should go back to sleep, we have early training tomorrow." She instructed and began to make her way up the ladder.
"Okay but, I want all the details tomorrow, Y/N. I need to find out everything, got it?" Sasha said and although she had phrased it like a question, her tone had indicated there was no negotiation to be had on the matter.
You stuck your tongue out at her momentarily, which she returned, before you followed the blonde to your top bunks. Once you had arrived, you placed your daisy beside your bed, having nowhere else to lay it, and slipped into your covers. "Thank you for covering for my ass, Annie." You said as you turned to face her.
She had laid in her own sheets and had already been facing you, though her gaze was elsewhere as she pondered her response, and she had no qualms taking her time. "Did Reiner really give you that flower?" She asked hesitantly as she picked at the frayed linen. "Is that truly who you were with?"
You studied her expression and found that the furrow in her brows had indicated her distaste in the notion, which had unexpectedly caused guilt to bloom in your chest. You didn't know why, but you almost did not want to answer. "It's not that serious, we were just hangin' out. Who else was he gonna to give it to if we were the only ones out, y'know?" You reassured the girl.
Her brows furrowed even deeper and she gulped as her fists clutched the fabric she had previously been picking at, "You shouldn't have taken it." She stated.
"Why not?"
"Just-..." She began before she forced her self to inhale deeply, "I don't know if he's someone you should be hanging around. If you're too careless, someone is going to get hurt far more than they already had to be." She continued.
Her phrasing should have risen the suspicion to your mind, and it did, albeit slightly. Though, not enough to delve into the true meaning behind her words. In her own way, Annie had tried to warn you, attempted to throw crumbs of the truth in hopes you would have backed off and saved yourself the trouble of the future.
But it had already been too late.
The flower you received that night had been the hook tied to the interlacing strings of fate that directed your paths onward, and it did not plan on letting go.
"You should relax, I'm being careful. Besides, it's nothing serious yet, I don't think so anyway." You reassured her once again.
Her eyes closed in resolution and she turned to face the wall behind her before she muttered a quiet, "Yet."
"Good night, Y/N." She finished and that ended the discussion.
You stared at the back of her head for a few moments as you attempted to unravel what she might have been feeling at that moment, searched for a single hint at her emotions, before finally, you relented and responded in turn, "Good night, Annie." You whispered and closed your eyes in a chase of slumber.
Though, even through the hours you endured of Sasha's snoring, the warmth in your chest never fled. It kept you bundled in its security throughout the late hours of the night and the fond smile embroidered onto your lips only furthered the butterflies in your tummy.
Because, Annie was only a little paranoid, and maybe slightly protective towards you, right?
Tumblr media
Fun fact: As her own way of coping with her guilt of your friendship, Annie made a list of sweet deserts she would have liked to share with you, had you met in another life.

Attack on Titan: Annie Leonhart, Mikasa Ackerman, Sasha Braus, Ymir, Christa Lenz, Hange Zoë, Hitch Dreyse, Yelena, Pieck
‼️ Fem Reader ‼️
[Scenario #3] You're a Titan Shifter
---
Tumblr media
Annie Leonhart: She was a Titan Shifter, so when the explosion came from you she instantly knew what was happening. After that realization, Levi used you and Hange experimented on you, but you were still shocked and scared since that day. Believing everyone you know thought of you as nothing but worthless space she took you under her wing, but to do that she needed to comfort you, in her own special way.
"It's not all bad," Annie said. "You don't know how much you can contribute to your own kind."
"They look at me as if I am a monster, my friends -- my own friends look at me with such HATRED I didn't chose to be this way!" You cried.
"Then join me," She said, her eyes hard.
"Why?"
"Because I am one of you."
Mikasa Ackerman: It was a shock to her as when it was to you, yes she knew Eren was a Titan Shifter as did everyone else, but she was the only one that knew your secret.
"Please," You plead. "I won't hurt anybody, don't tell him please."
She knew you were telling the truth, it hurt her deep down. "I won't."
You smiled. "Thank you, I didn't mean to be this way, it just happened. I-- I didn't hurt anyone, no one!"
"It's okay, I know you won't hurt anyone. I won't look at you any differently nor will anyone else, and if they do they won't for long."
Sasha Braus: She never seen you so frighten after all her time with you, your body was shaking and she went over to you.
"You saved us," She began.
"I'm one of them." You said.
"Yes, but you saved us, you are still apart of humanity and I wouldn't have any of that delicious bread if it weren't for you. So please don't give up."
"I. . . thank you."
Ymir: She saw you fall, the wall not able to catch you, and soon a lightening strike stroke down on your body. She knew what it meant, and arrived your Titan form in all its glory. She didn't expect you of all people to be one, but she wasn't complaining. When you turned back you were crying, holding yourself.
"Why are you crying?" She said. "Someone as cute as you shouldn't be crying."
"Leave me alone, Ymir."
"Come on, Y/N." She sat next to you. "How about we go do something together, to keep your mind off of things? Go around town, y'know?"
"Sure, that seems. . .fun."
Christa Lenz: She saw you in the arms of Hange, being dug out of the huge flesh of the Titan you shifted into. She was in relief you weren't hurt nor did you turn against humanity, but she didn t expect the damage it left you mentally whenever you show of your other form.
"Am I really apart of humanity?"
"What do you mean?"
"I. . .I'm a Titan the very thing that eats you without any mercy. Chasing you down until you are nothing but body parts."
She forwned. "You are still one of us, Y/N. You are still my. . .it doesn't matter you use that Titan for the good of humanity that shows a lot.
"You really think so?"
"Yes." She looked at you. "I know you."
Hange Zoë: She took you in after Levi's orders because of yhe very thing you were, a Titan shifter, another one added to her collection of experiments. She didn't expect to open up to her, the doubts and need for comfort.
"Hello!" She walked in. "Y/N?"
She saw you with a gloom look in your eyes. "Oh hello, Hange. Another test?"
"Not today," She cocked an eyebrow. "What's seems to be the matter?"
"Are you really sure, that I, should be alive? I can be a threat to you, something that can end you in a single second."
"Y/N," She smiled, lifting her goggles from her eyes. "You are a Titan Shifter, an amazing one in fact, but although what you said was true no one believes that you will."
"Levi--"
"Nor does Levi -- not even me. You are something that can help us better understand Titans just like Eren. And I like your company."
"Thanks."
"Mhm," She hummed.
Hitch Dreyse: The news spread like wildfire, hearing that Annie was one, but not someone like you was one as well. She went to find you, if you were even still alive, and you laid on the ground with your eyes closed and dirt on your clothes.
"Y/N?"
You looked at her terrified. "Hitch!"
You sat up, and looked down shamed. "I suppose you heard about me."
"Yes," She spoke. "But, it's okay."
"No! It's not okay! They all hate me!"
"Y/N," She frowned. "I don't hate you."
"You should be, I am those damn creatures! Those damn--"
She hugged you. "No, you are still the person I know, and that won't change. Not for a second."
"How do you know?"
"Gut instinct."
"Liar."
"Okay, okay," She smiled. "Because I know you just won't, Y/N. That's it."
Yelana: She was very fond of titans. When she finally saw you shift into your Titan form, she was mesmerized. She would be anything to protect you against those that want you dead for a reason alone: you're a titan shifter. She wouldn't treat you any different, but she would come to find out you can handle yourself quite well in any circumstance. She found that pleasing most of all.
"I don't care that you're a titan shifter. It won't change anything."
"Thank you, Yelena."
Pieck: She was a titan shifter, not the most attractive looking. She didn't want you to see like you had to hide it, the people around you were all shifters, but-- then again, the comfort was all you needed at the moment when coming to realization of your reality. She would show you how to control things.

Attack on Titan ~Characters with a reader who brings all the dead back to life and rules the world~
Manga/anime: Attack on Titan
Warnings: spoilers of all the dead
Requested by: @happybunny999
Eren loves you very much, not only because you were able to bring his parents back to life, but also because you helped him to control his powers. He'll appreciate you reviving everyone he kills: he'll feel slightly better. Plus, when he comes back to life, he'll love trying to make up for all the mistakes and crimes he committed and he'll continue to thank you.
Armin understands why you save everyone without distinction, and he appreciates you so much for it. He'll feel very happy when you save Bertholdt and Erwin, since he'll no longer feel the weight of their deaths on him, and Eren. He hope one day you won't have to resurrect anyone anymore.
Mikasa appreciated you when you brought her parents back to life, but she'll appreciate you even more after you resurrect Eren. However, at first she hated you because you also resurrected her enemies. She didn't understand why you did it, and she was one of those who were against allowing you to act freely: she believed you needed to be carefully monitored.
Jean thought Marco was one of the unjustly dead, so, after you brought him back to life, he literally ran to hug you and burst into tears. Now he's at your complete disposal: do you need help? He's there for you. Do you need a shoulder to cry on? He's there. Do you need something? You'll have it right away.
Sasha's closest relatives aren't dead, so she doesn't have some sort of "debt" to you, like most soldiers. However, she still values you very much, especially since you don't think of yourself as better for your power and you don't treat others with superiority. She acts with more bravado because she knows you'll always save her.
Connie and his family are grateful to you: you saved their entire family! Whenever he can, he invites you to eat with him as thanks, because he thinks it's the only thing he can do for you and because his little siblings adore you and ask a lot of you. Like Sasha, he acts with more bravado ("Even if I die, she'll save me!").
Ymir doesn't care about you: she doesn't care who you save, as she's uninterested in anything but Historia. However, she'll appreciate you brought her back to life because then she'll be able to spend more time with her beloved.
Historia feels safe when you're on her team during expeditions because she knows no matter what happens, you'll save everyone. However, she made you promise you wouldn't save her if she died, but she'll change her mind after you bring Ymir back to life. When she becomes queen, she'll want you by her side, but she'll also let you go on expeditions to save soldiers.
Annie considered you dangerous: she never cared about anything other than fighting, so she didn't understand the reason for resurrecting the dead. Furthermore, she had seen the influence you had on others, and she therefore feared at some point you might change her goals. However, after she has grown fond of some of her companions (Armin), she'll appreciate you, especially when she discovers you've brought her dead warrior companions back to life.
Reiner always felt the full weight of his actions, which led to the death of many innocent people, so, after you resurrected everyone, he felt lighter and better. However, like Annie, he had noticed being around you was making him softer, so he always tried to stay away from you. Nevertheless, after Eren's "death", he'll appreciate you for all the lives you saved, and he'll thank you for saving his comrades, especially Marcel and Porko.
Unlike his two friends, Bertholdt loved you very much from your first meeting: according to him you were a sort of goddess, not only because of your very powerful and beautiful power, but also because of your humble and sweet character, which led you to save them, the enemies, too.
When you brought Furlan, Isabel and his mother back to life, Levi was shocked: he was a mixture of happiness and disbelief; he ran to you and hugged you tightly, crying slightly. Now he has officially become your bodyguard: he'll always protect you, even dying for you (you'll resurrect him anyway).
Hange loves, loves being with you and asking you questions about your power: they're very interested in knowing its exact workings and scope and limits. They love your kindness, even if they had previously told you they would have preferred you didn't save all the enemies, but you had very kindly made them understand how everyone is innocent in that world.
For Erwin, you're a very important resource, even more than Eren, not only because you bring people back to life, but also because of your knowledge. He'll appreciate very much you resurrected his father, whose death he always blamed himself and whose burden he always felt, and himself, because in this way he'll be able to satisfy his greatest desire, that of seeing the cellar of Eren's house.
Falco burst into tears when you brought his brother back to life: he literally ran into your arms, crying and still thanking you. He already appreciated you before, since your name had already spread in Marley with the warriors' return, but now his respect for you has skyrocketed. He wants to spend as much time as possible with you, asking you questions and being "pampered" by you.
Porko was shocked when he found his brother alive, telling him he had been brought back to life by a girl, in front of him. That day he promised himself he would find you and thank you properly, even if you were with the enemy. So he did: after being devoured by Falco and brought back to life by you, he went to you and thanked you (although with quite a bit of difficulty) both on his own behalf and that of his brother.
Thanks to you, Zeke met his father, who had expressed the desire to be able to make peace with his eldest son, again, and he was also able to see again what he considered his father: Xaver. He feels grateful to you, because he managed to make peace with his real father and his half-brother, and he also promised you he'll do anything to pay off what he considers his debt to you.
Ymir Fritz sees you as a reference figure, almost like a sister. Since you've ruled the world since its dawn, she often asks you for help with her powers. Furthermore, when she's with you, she feels considered: you're the first person since the fall of her kingdom who considers her as a human being, who defends her from King Fritz.

Mental Hospital AU! Yandere! Attack on Titan x Female Reader ~| Levi Ending|~
The same grey eyes Y/N wished to never see again locked with her very own. Facing towards him, Y/N breath became shakier. Levi was holding a glass shard and his hands were all bloodied up. He stepped forward a bit only for Y/N to step back a few steps, only to be pulled gently by the wrist.
”Y/N. We have to go, now.” Levi said before dragging Y/N out, not letting her respond or process the information.
”W-wait Levi!” Y/N said whilst stopping him. “I have to take you back to some room and keep you there-“
”So you can what? Help me? Or are you going to treat me like an animal like the rest of them and lock me up?” Levi asked in a rude manner.
”L-Levi.. it’s not about keeping you in a room, it’s about your safety. Reiner and Bertolt have weapons and I’m guessing they have help from outsiders. We have to keep you safe-“ Y/N began to say only to be interrupted once again.
”Cut the crap Y/N. We both know that Erwin wants you to do this, because that means I’m less of an opponent to everyone.” Levi began to say.
”An opponent? What are you talking about?” Y/N asked.
”Your so oblivious of all of this, that’s why it makes me so interested in you.” Levi muttered, Y/N raised her eyebrow in confusion.
”Levi, we have to go before someone dangerous drugs you.” Y/N said as she began to drag him away only to be pulled into him, facing him.
”You listen to me Y/N, all of your friends are dead and I can prove it. If those two bastards even try to shoot me, they’ll fail and you know that.” Levi said.
”My friends.. how can I trust you?!” Y/N asked whilst taking a few steps back.
”I saw them get crushed under a pillar. That freckled one was covering that small brat, who still died, whilst your loud friend was sprawled across the floor.” Levi explained.
Y/N fell to the ground and sobbed harder than ever. Those were her best friends, sisters even. She didn’t ever argue with them, always got along and felt closer to them than her actual relatives. Why? Why did this world have to take them from her?
“It’s okay Y/N. I’m here.” Levi said as he kneeled down and soothed her back by rubbing circles. “We have to get going before-“
”Y/N! Get away from Levi!” A voice yelled out.
Looking Y/N saw Erwin, standing from a distance and holding a drug. It looked like he was planning on having Levi go unconscious. Standing up and taking a few steps, Y/N saw Levi looking at her as he stood up too.
”Y/N. If you move from that spot, I’ll make sure to punish you once I’m done with this big-ass eyebrow bastard.” Levi threatened.
”Y/N go!” Erwin yelled as he and Levi began to fight.
The fight was intense as they punished and kicked each other. Y/N stood in fear and took a small step back, wanting to run away but unable to. Erwin pulled out a pistol and held it to Levi’s head as a sign that he should stop but Levi grabbed it and flipped it to face Erwin and quickly shot his throat, letting him bleed out.
”Good job Y/N.” Levi praised as he quickly moved Erwin off him and made his way to her. “I can see you moved a bit but I’m sure it was because you were scared. Right?”
“Y-yeah.” Y/N whispered.
”Thats good Darling.” Levi said as he grabbed her wrist and led her out of the building.

Walking into the living room, Levi sat next to her and the son she held on her lap. That day, Y/N and Levi had left the building in time before it had collapsed. The two lived in the apartment that Y/N lived in with her friends.
”Doesn’t he look so cute.” Y/N asked before looking down at the baby.
”He had my eyes..” Levi bluntly said. “Is Krista in her room?”
”Yes.” Y/N responded as she rocked the baby in her arms.
“To this day I don’t understand why you wanted her to have a long name.” Levi said, earning a look from Y/N. “Krista Sasha Ackerman. That’s not even a middle name.”
“I know but its nice.” Y/N said.
”And you think Aiden Ymir Ackerman is good too?” Levi asked sarcastically. “Be grateful I let you name him after your brother. I hope those other names aren’t those friends of yours..”
”No Levi.. they’re not.” Y/N lied.
”I saw that you got me new cleaning supplies. Thank you darling, I needed them quite badly.” Levi said as he kissed her temple.
”Your welcome.. love you too.” Y/N whispered.
