i think this is such a cool concept! luke is not the type of guy to shy away from darkness so let’s dive into it: some about you, some about the relationship yall would have

about you

you’re not scared of death at all, since it would mean being with your father—you’re very headstrong and daring

i think people would think the worst of demigods associated with death, but in reality there’s a softer side to you, one that holds a dying squirrel until it passes safely, or sings an injured camper to sleep on the battlefield so that your dad can carry them to the afterlife; i feel like you’d be able to take away their pain as well

you’d probably be able to have the same transportation powers your dad has, flickering into a shadow to travel or something cool like that

maybe on an actual scarier level, you’d have control over someone’s lifeforce through shadows like in peter pan

you’re a bit of a lurker, but not in a creepy sense—you have a calming presence to you that helps people feel at ease no matter the situation

you can sense when someone’s about to die like it’s a bad taste in your mouth or goosebumps on your skin

if you were trying to hide your wings to try not to stand out (because teens are teens and its easier to try to fit in) i wonder if wings would feel like growing pains, or like they’re trying to escape from under your skin; i would hope they’re more comfortable to have out though! gorgeous and huge like that of an angel

you and luke:

i think he’d think your wings are sick (and sexy but hey…) you flying around with him trying to follow you in his shoes he got from his dad could create some crazy situations if you know what i mean

you two would race across the sky at camp and meet at the top of half-blood hill <3

you can tame luke’s anger well since you’re a true chaotic neutral, by just holding his hand his rage is contained

he always encourages you to be your truest self and spread your wings (literally) who cares if someone tries to pick on you for how big they are or how scary you look they should be more scared of him because he’ll start a fight for it (luke is your scary dog privilege)

luke has very fidgety hands as a son of hermes so i think you’d always catch him stroking the feathers of your wings absentmindedly

everything is attainable when you two are together, you make him understand the balance of life and death as your father did to you—this may or may not sway his decision to become a human vessel, but you’d be with him through it all

My thoughts on the PJO Lightning Thief movie. Spoilers for the movie I guess. My commentary is funny to read with it because then you really understand what I mean! What a ride this was

1. “The politically correct term is satyr” Jesus it made me chuckle because of course the threw in the comment politically correct. Go off Grover I guess

2. How old is Grover if at 12 he’s 24 and when he looks 16-18 in the movie? I just got questions man how old is he?!?! Why doesn’t he have his horns yet?!

3. Low key I want to go to this camp cause it’s looks like fun for teens/adults

4. It’s kinda accurate at certain points. Like lines from the book. But at the same time wrong character

5. WHY IS GROVER SO GREAT??? PERCY SEEING ANNABETH AND ASKING DOR HER NAME AND GROVER GOES “Haaa! She’ll squash you like a bug” GO OFF MY MAN

6. Why does it look so cgi? And also WHY THE CRAP DID THEY IMMEDIATELY TAKE HIM TO CABIN 3???? LIKE YEA EVERYONE KNOWS HES A SON OF POSEIDON BUT HE STILL HAS TO BE CLAIMED

7. Also it’s supposed to be the summer and why he got pants and a heavy jacket on? Also how do they explain both Chiron, Percy and Grover missing from school cause they just fucking dipped

8. Yea let’s throw the guy with absolutely no lessons or absolutely anything like that into capture the flag! Also where the fuck is Clarisse?

9. God luke is hilarious! “That’s a sword that’s a sword!” God got me wheezing

10. Glad to know in both video adaptations the Percy’s trip and fall.

11. Why is annabeth out of breath and a genuine dick in the beginning? Like she did two steps forward and is breathing heavy! Was it cause she had to talk all mysterious and sultry? What was that for?!

12. THEY ALL LOOK LIKE THEY ARE IN THEIR 30’s BESIDES THE MAIN 4?! Why the campers so old?!

13. Logan Lerman was a great percy at the wrong time. I will stand by this

14. WHY DOES HADES LOOK LIKE SATAN WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE?!

15. THE CAMERA POINTING TO LUKE WHEN HADES WAS ASKING FOR THE BOLT THAT WAS SMOOTH AF

16. BARGIN WITH ZEUS?! WHAT THE HECK?!

17. Damn annabeth has been there for a while I imagine since she was 7 and never went on a quest yet. Who hates her in this movie?

18. WHY DOES LUKE HAVE A PC, MULTIPLE TV SCREENS AND AN XBOX/PLAY STATION? AND A ROOM TO HIS OWN?

19. How did Luke break into his dad’s house?!

20. Interesting take for Persephone. Also Persephone’s pearls?! Fucking weird

21. WHY IS THERE SO MUCH CUSSING?! They’ve said ass twice now!

22. GROVER IS KILLING IT ONCE AGAIN! Opening up the soda machine and screaming cause there’s rats and saying the health department needs to give this place a f! His actor is so good!

36. How many times did the janitor actors have to go over their lines together to say them in unison? Also they don’t fight the hydra till the second book

37. WHY DOES ANNABETH HAVE SO MANY WEAPONS AND WHERE IS SHE STORING THEM??? A cross bow, a bow and arrows, I want to say a sword but I could be wrong. Just so many weapons

38. How are they getting the money for the gas to go from New Jersey to Tennessee to then Las Vegas? That’s a lot of gas!

39. THE BEST SCENE IN THE WHOLE MOVIE THE POKER FACE SCENE I KNOW THEY WONT KEEP THE SONG IN THE SHOW BUT I WANT THEM TO

41. Never let Grover drive is the main point of the movie

I’m not really in the PJO fandom anymore but it really irks me that Will Solace gets treated like some bubbly over dramatic ray of sunshine when he’s,,, he’s a doctor. He can be laidback and stuff but he’s also a doctor who has been leading the Apollo cabin and served as head medic for CHB during a fricking war.

Like guys. How do y’all screw up his personality so bad? There’s so much more to him that people just miss bc they want their grumpy emo boi Nico and uwu sun cheerful boi Will. When both of them are so much more than that, so much more dynamic than that.

Percy Jackson Wrap Up

This was supposed to be the 30-Day Percy Jackson Challenge. Since I just finished reading PJO and The Heroes of Olympus, I decided to do this as my wrap-up instead.

This wasn’t a major moment or anything, but because I am so familiar with NYC I think I was able to really picture the scene and that made it stick out to me. I had a clear image of it in my head, which made the scene more vivid and consequential to me. 18. Most Emotional Moment (PJO) Salina Beauregard disguising herself as Clarisse to lead the Ares Cabin into battle and then getting killed by the drakon. 19. What Would Nectar/ Ambrosia Taste Like to You? Nuts n’ More salted caramel peanut butter or red velvet cupcakes with dairy-free icing. 20. Favorite Special Ability Nico’s ability to raise the skeleton army or Frank’s ability to shape-shift. 21. Favorite Couple Leo and Calypso or Piper and Jason 22. Favorite Roman Aspect of a Greek God Mars/Ares. Mars seemed like a much better father to his kids than Ares. 23. Most Memorable Moment (HOO) Thalia and Jason reuniting after so long. 24. Most Emotional Moment (HOO) When Leo and Hazel get to see Sammy as Leo’s great grandfather and find out that he thought he was the reason Hazel went missing. 25. One Demigod From Each Camp to Join You on a Quest (Can’t be Percy or Jason) My babies Leo and Frank 26. Would You Accept Zeus’ Gift of Godhood? If I was in Percy’s shoes and had someone like Annabeth and camp and the life of a hero to look forward to? Probably not. If I’m speaking as myself in my life right now? I want to wipe out all the sad ideas that come to me when I am holding you I want to erase every nasty thought that bugs me every day of every week

Bad habits?

When my fingernails get too long I pick at it, I procrastinate a lot, and I also get random ticks (ie drumming my fingers, clucking my tongue it goes on)

Phobias? I would say death, but honestly, it's probably life

Being with friends I trust. Watching an entertaining show/movie/gameplay

What really irritates you?

Apathetic people.

What makes you sad?

Me. Capitalism. The pressures and expectations that society puts on individuals.

What makes you angry?

People who don't care about other people's feelings. When someone says that it's required to stand for the Pledge of the Allegiance. The rampant racism and sexism and honestly discrimination in general that we humans seem naturally so inclined to.

What makes you scared?

The thought of how our universe and everything in it will disappear and we humans will only be a blip in that timeframe. But perhaps that isn't really scary.

I'm young I don't really pay expensive things. I would have to say that of the things that I know that I bought is the book Battle Royale.

I bought a lot of food in my life, some pretty crappy.

I love my parents <3. They got me a violin (several but they sold some back), my Bose headphones, and my drawing tablet (that I should use more).

Idk my parents sort of know what we want and my grandparents can't really give me anything and I don't remember bad gifts from elementary school friends. But our family gifted ourselves a guitar which my mom wanted but promptly said that the strings hurt her fingers so probably that.

Happiness, success, and love.

It's pretty small and the walls are yellow and pink with a sticker tree with birds it's pretty cool. I have a bed, dresser and a lil vanity table that has a lot of random stuff on it.

If you were granted 3 wishes, what would they be?

To use the popular loophole, wish for more wishes. If that's not the case, my wishes would be: world peace, no need to sleep, and the ability to focus on what I want to without getting distracted.

If you could go back in time to see or change something, when would it be and what would you do?

Well, if it was possible for Riley to get professional help without trying to commit suicide that would be awesome.

Doing the extra credit my freshman year for English so I would get an A instead of a 89. Sitting with someone else in sophomore year math class so it would be entertaining and I could avoid the only B I'm gonna get in math during high school.

Doing something about Ryan my freshman or sophomore year. Doing something about Joey.

Regretting less.

Going back to sleep.

Yep.

I'll be 27, but that also gives me no sense of time. Probably at a nice office job or graduate school.

My dream dream job would probably be being a popular actress but also 1) that would never happen and 2) that sounds stressful. So my other dream job is being the position right under the CEO of a very successful company.

Excluding Disney movies because I love all of them, I highly recommend the Cabin in the Woods, Truman Show, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Old Boy. From there, it's like a tree with tons of movie options.

The rubber ones that can change into shapes

jk, the only 'bands' I really like are Kpop, so 2NE1 (rip), BTS, Blackpink and Big Bang.

I love Savages by Marina and the Diamonds, Crybaby by Melanie Martinez, and Whistle by Blackpink.

My bedroom's pretty cool, I just don't spend a lot of time in there

Bed? Wizarding World in Orlando Studios, Florida was pretty awesome, and South Korea has some great places. And of course, our expensive home Disney World.

I’m just doing them all today

Day #3: Since Octavian technically isn’t a demigod, I’ll go with Drew Tanaka, from the Aphrodite cabin. Gods, I hate her.

Day #4: Campfire. I love how we all just sit and roast marshmallows, make s’mores, listen to stories and recaps of the day and sing stupid songs.

Day #5: Celestial bronze swords. They glow. Out of existing character weapons, though, I really like Nico di Angelo’s sword. Effective on humans and the dead.

Day #6: *curses* Um...probably Poseidon. “Athena was right for once.” // *gives Percy sand dollar* Spend it wisely.

Day #7: Hera.

Day #8: Apollo! And not only because I love ToA. Because I love music and I always have, I like poetry, I like the arts, and I love the sun. The best spotlight is sunlight. I am Hufflepuff af.

Day #9: Small Bob. He’s just a little fluffball ^.^ I would say large Bob, but Bob...Bob is not a monster. He may be a monster, but he is not a monster.

Day #10: Iris. I love that name, and I love the fact that she’s just a little rainbow...plus IMing is needed.

Day #11: Nemesis.

Day #12: yo i hear Argus’s van is pretty dank fam. Haha jk I don’t talk like that. I don’t have a favorite mode of transportation.

Day#13: I liked the Prophecy of Seven. That’s cool.

Day #14: I like Bar Harbor, Maine, because it’s about a two-hour drive from where I live. Not really for a quest, though, just Grover successfully finding a pair of demigods, so in case that’s not valid the runner-up would be Italy.

Day #15: I really love pegasi.

Day #16: I really love Arion (I would say Tyson or Ella, but I don;t count them as creatures, I count them as people)

Day #17: Zoe Nightshade’s death T-T if you mean ‘memorable’ in a good way, then the time where Kronos made pigs fly

Day #18: Zoe Nightshade’s death. Or learning that Selena and Beckendorf were evil. Or after Luke (MAH BABY) stabbed himself and he was with Annabeth and dhuakhghakjlghj

Day #19: Nectar/ambrosia (I prefer nectar) would taste like Grammy Cookies (that’s what I call my Grammy Pam’s homemade cookies). I wonder what Nico tastes...?

Day #20: I like to pretend I am a demigod, so, since I am a daughter of Apollo, I imagine my powers to be singing good and photokinesis (mental/physical ability to control light). But out of existing powers, I think it’s cool that Percy can manipulate water.

Day #21: SOLANGELO IS MY MAIN OTP

Day #22: I don’t get this fully. You mean the Roman side of a Greek god/vice versa? I like both of Hades’ sides. They’re basically the same thing.

Day #23: I hate the movies, but come on, Sean Bean was the perfect Zeus. Who doesn’t like Sean Bean? Ned Stark, guys!

Day #24: Everything. Annabeth was completely wrong. The movie cut out Ares, who was a huge part. They rode NO truck and freed NO zebras/lions. Grover is supposed to be the whitest of the white. Where was his reed pipes? And what about Luke, huh? Where was his scars? Why is there so much technology? And I think Clarisse isn’t supposed to be that hot. Where the fuck was Mr. D? And what about the claiming? What about the Camp Half-Blood shirts? And more.

Day #25: BOB! Or Nico’s gayness...OR ANNABETH AND PERCY REUNITING!

Day #26: Bob.

Day #27: If I’m leading a quest, ya’ll are idiots and you’re gonna die. But I’d choose...Leo Valdez. And Nico di Angelo. Apollo, Hephaestus, and Hades. This isn’t gonna go downhill.

Day #28: Um, no.

Day #29: Least favorite...my favorite, just not my first favorite is how I’m thinking of this, since none of them I can hate. I think that would be The Lost Hero, for HoO. For PJO, it would be The Sea of Monsters.

Day #30: Favorite...House of Hades, for HoO. And for PJO, either The Last Olympian (which made me cry), or The Titan’s Curse (which also made me cry).
