Re tag talk - How do you practice reducing your startle response? I have a really bad startle response that I want to change but I have no idea where to even start
oooh hi how's it going? this is a fun topic because it relates to a few things so I'm gonna toss a read-more and then just kinda talk through what I know and have practiced.
-
basic context: everything said here is my opinion based on stuff I've learned and personal experience which is largely trauma-based so take it with a grain of salt. I'm no expert but I do know some stuff about psychology and shit and specifically childhood reflexes (introductory reading here) and a lot of that is vaguely relevant since trauma creates a sort of fixed mindstate (hence flashbacks and inability to grow past specific things from that trauma-point) seen in children who experience trauma by things like prolonged bed-wetting and thumb sucking, as well as emotional areas such as disordered attachment styles.
the startle we're talking about though (later on reflex not the baby moro reflex) is connected to your fear response and kind of kicks off your fight or flight response (there's more than just fight or flight, personally I freeze instead but most people know fight or flight) and in my experience it's really connected to tension. Hyper-vigilance leads to being always on edge, tensed up waiting for something bad to happen. The first step to changing anything is noticing it. paying attention to it. pay attention to where you hold tension in your body, notice which muscles tense up, which direction you jump, do your hands clench? do they push away? how long does it take you to relax again afterwards, can you relax at all? basic mindfulness meditation shit like that.
personally the place I first saw and addressed that tension was when being tickled. I'm massively ticklish and so ofc I got tickled a lot as a kid. I noticed that I'm more susceptible when I tense up. the energy catches inside, builds the tension, and you can only suppress the pressure for so long before it cracks you open and you laugh. deliberately relaxing allows the energy to flow through you instead of building up inside.
now, I'm not a big religion person, not into natural healing, not into energy and auras or any of that shit, so I think about zuko from atla learning to lightningbend instead; allowing the energy to enter and redirecting it out another way.
I've got a meditation practice I do to work on drawing out tension like that when I'm too stressed out. I find any comfortable position, you can do the traditional cross-legged sit, lean against a wall, lie down on the floor, whatever works. then I just start at my toes and work on gathering up all the tension and slowly moving upward collecting tension as I go. I collect it at my chest since that's where my tension typically rests, and then I pull it from my fingers and arms, finally externalizing it by breathing it out through my mouth.
for actual practicing of relaxing through the startle process, I started working on not startling at loud sounds. I'm a big social anxiety haver and loud sounds are my most common thing I flinch at so that was an easy way to work on it. notice when you flinch, practice relaxing after you tense.
important thing to remember: you're not killing the startle. you're not tensing up and powering through it. you're relaxing and allowing the tension to flow through you. tensing up makes you brittle, fragile. instead you need to learn to relax, to bend, to allow the energy to flow out of you instead of trapping it inside a fragile glass prism. you can't always fix the fear or nervousness or whatever, but you can change how you respond to it, and that can improve even just a small but consistent piece of your life.
you will still startle especially at first, but practice regaining your balance faster. you will still flinch but work on relaxing your muscles more quickly afterwards. you might not entirely eliminate the behavior but if you can learn to regain your equilibrium sooner and sooner after you can start catching it before it happens instead of after.
your body is beauty and soul but it's also a machine made up of a thousand million moving parts and if you can get an idea of how they work, then even just by paying attention to the things your mind does you can start affecting how it behaves. It's not about rigid self control, it's about learning how to guide your body in the ways you need it to go.

it takes a conscious effort to break your patterns of consumption and unlearn the notion beauty, interiority, diverse ways of existence aren't exclusive to whiteness or maleness. part of that isn't your fault. certain music is played on the radio, certain shows survive cancellation no matter what, certain people seem to be able to commit the worst possible acts against other human beings and are excused on account of their creative genius. others are selectively punished, with good reason sure, but still, selectively.
now more than ever it's easier to immerse yourself in art made by people outside of the mainstream. reading lists, free resources, playlists... all this stuff is more accessible than ever, but you've got to make an effort to give it a try. it's black history month, the recs are pouring in, go have a look. or take a chance on something absolutely no one has recommended anywhere and if you find something you like, rec it to someone else because the likelihood is they haven't heard of it.
tracy chapman's "fast car" is one of eleven songs that appears on her self-titled debut album. can you name the second hit single from it? if you're american and you fell anywhere left of center as of the 2016 election, it should be on the tip of your tongue if you were engaged in your country's politics at the time, regardless of your level of actual investment in the system. if not, the next time you're doing a task you need both hands with, washing the dishes, having dinner, doing your makeup, put that album on.
there's a post with over 100K notes on here that i see all the time of bruce springsteen and clarence clemons kissing. there's a part of that that is immediately meaningful to many if you're lgbtq, and a part that is harder for non-black lgbtq people to feel the weight of. but it is worth trying to do and was part of the reason why they kissed so often in the first place. clarence clemons was from norfolk, virginia. he released multiple albums outside of his work with the e street band. they may not be for you, but give them a try.
give enough music, or movies, or books that aren't a part of the approved canon a try, and there's no way you won't find something you don't feel as passionate about as you do about springsteen, siken, the beatles, what have you.
james baldwin was a prolific artist. see if you can't find something of his you like more than giovanni's room.
immerse yourself in ringo sheena, who mitski cites as one of her influences.
if you have difficulty paying attention to music you don't recognize, (i get it) make a playlist that alternates tracks you know and love with brand new tracks. start small. 5 faves of all time, 5 you're going to try out. you won't like everything, but you might find yourself looking forward to 6 songs instead of 5 eventually.
for movies, pick an actor whose performance you loved in something and explore their work. last year i picked whoopi goldberg, also a prolific artist, with a vast body of work that's pretty accessible as a result of her constant, intentional effort.
if you're an artist yourself, you can only stand to improve by getting to know your fellow artists better. so expand your notion of what art is. you can do it for free in lots of cases, and you're spending that time listening to music or reading or watching movies or series anyway, what have you got to lose?
anti-racism sometimes means engaging in real-world narratives of pain endured by brown and black people. that pain permeates much of our art, but we're just as three-dimensional as everybody else, and every aspect of our experiences come through in our work. you know that already, because what else is happening when you indulge in various genres. for everything you love or enjoy, there's a brown or black person who's doing something along those lines, in many cases, those genres wouldn't exist in their current form without the influence of our communities, some more than others, depending on where you're from. you can actually keep one foot inside your comfort zone and dip your toe into something else. that choice is both a joy and a luxury.

Sub!Choso x Reader
MDNI——collars leashes whip’s edging stomping humiliation blindfolds restraints gags overstimulation pegging taunting slapping blood play period sex {all mentioned}
Premise: Choso walked in on you and (bonus:) your date (sub!Nanami) and begs for his own collar.
Making it home after another morning shift, you’re stopped in front of your apartment door to punch in the numbers to the automated lock. You push your way in and thank your district manager finally let you have an opening shift. You swear people get dumber as the day goes on and by the end of the night your patience has worn thin.
You’re still a sweetheart though, everyone knows you as being the mediator. The person to come to to see both sides and even additionally your own view of it to let them think over their problems, or options. Either way, you’d always keep things light.
Any form of confrontation or conflict made you want to help fix it right away. But what do you do to help with the anger? Surely there was something else you’d do, like a hobby or something, to release the stress of harboring the most open mind, and basically know how it will go with the way you’d observe them silently.
Not many people would know about your fun pastime, not until choso walked in on you and you date one night.
He surely was still trying to understand what he saw. That wasn’t a dream? Because it would make more sense if it were a dream, he knew for a fact. But it was something he just couldn’t stop thinking about, it had his balls blue.
If he were to think about it he’d swell up immediately, the blood rushing to his cheeks and sadly but quickly creating a mess in his pants, he’d curse how much of a mess you now made of him.
His quiet and caring roommate looked so out of place, but it was their room… “(Y/n)’s a sadist?” Just having him walk in on you was torture on him enough. You two knew each others schedules, and Yuki’s too as she’s the third to share the large studio together. Their brother-sister relationship, and you and her friendship, and you and him just being caught up in her world, living together just made things easier. Really it saved gas.
It wasn’t like walking in on you while you were talking a no clothes shit. Or if you just got in the shower and the glass or mirror hasn’t steamed up yet. This was your best friends brother walking into your room, while you were dressed up in just pleather straps, having recognized that that was his youngest brother’s teacher, blindfolded and on his knees in front of you.
You wonder if he was still going to act weird about it. The best way to relieve yourself was just power play in general. You already knew it all, all possible ways situations can play out, you could tell what people will say, what their next action could be, it was already enough to make you so bored, or go crazy.
It wasn’t like you were feigning your consideration towards others, but it’s the fact when they don’t listen. You tell what the next moves are, by the patterns of things and taking chances on how some days just don’t go as planned. That there will always be an element of surprise just when you thought you got the pattern down.
You can talk and talk and talk, and explain finally what you mean, maybe you talked too much and it confused them… “That’s on them for not paying attention.” The supremacy you secretly held was upsetting. It was just fantasy, something that you had to figure out how to fix, “Maybe they just like to be hurt.” You thought one day, and that’s when it started.
You’ve secretly become a sadist, it just made sense. Trusting you to carry out their most wicked fantasies and you love to help, making the experience fruitful by learning how bodies react to certain things. As they taught you what they liked, you found yourself domineering the sessions, and most of the time they don’t object. (Half of them are gagged up anyway.)
And with all that time, sure you may have thought about it once or twice but knew it’d be rude to be the one to ask if Yuki could third wheel in her own house. “It couldn’t be me to ask, and I shouldn’t anyway.” Even though you two were close, you still held out consideration for them to not ruin the dynamic, but the sight in front of her older brother had stopped him in his tracks. Your small pleather get up was something he couldn’t even dream seeing on you.
Your leg was up in the bed, your date was kneeling, blindfolded and clothed but exposed. His dress shirt unbuttoned at the top with bites and hickies under his collar and his pants still on but his erection bouncing and begging for your touch. His mouth was open and waiting, tongue begging to taste you while you hold his blonde hair back, he silently thanks you for taunting him.
Choso and your eyes met, but you didn’t move. It was kinda hot, no, it was really hot seeing him blush immediately. With how red he got, you were hoping he be brave enough to join.
You weren’t embarrassed, that wouldn’t make sense of your dominating energy in the room. The mouth under you was panting into you, the heat hot on your other mouth, the wetness coming down your legs, you were enjoying the sudden intrusion so much that you pushed Nanami’s face into you. Not breaking eye contact with choso, his deer in the headlights look on his face while you were riding another man’s face just 10 feet away from him, it happened so fast get it took him forever gather himself to leave.
You could only chuckle as you know this was gonna be a weird talk later. Nanami was fucked stupid now. His rigid face was soft and teary. The rise and fall of his chest was so fast, not helping the oxygen going to his head. So drunk for you, mindless and trusting, he wanted it so bad but couldn’t take another whip or edging session. Though your dates were always bliss for him and you just loved your pets so dearly.
————
You were sitting on the couch and he comes up to the doorway. Not looking up, you stay sitting at the couch in the living room. Anytime you’d go into your room again, it was almost like choso was just trying to prove himself wrong with what he saw. He was like a puppy who saw their owner in a mask, got confused and scared, and now is wondering if “that person” is ever going to come back. You were just finally showing him that this was you; Your cool attitude about all this made choso realize you were always like this.
Competitive when the reward is high, loud and domineering in rooms when control is needed, usually calm and quiet like him but he thought, he thought you really were like him.
He wasn’t weak, but he didn’t like to call the shots, he didn’t care to unless it was for his family. But everyone grew up and he was already content, visiting them whenever they could and living with you and your friend, his “sister”, Yuki.
You’ve always wanted him under you like this he was such a boy failure literally clung to his sister at the hip, her being such a flirt to men but her girlfriends find it funny when she beats them up if they ever got mad, like hey they never asked her. To which she’ll make up silly things to taunt the poor fuck who thought they could fight her.
Choso though just always was the coolest. His piercings and new tattoos every other month were just so hot. But you weren’t gonna ruin him. That wasn’t your call, he didn’t know that about you but you could tell he was perfect. Whatever he thought of you is what has been holding him back from a world that was ready for him.
————————————————
“Please,” You let him suck on your fingers as you work and pulled away when he got too greedy. He stopped afraid you’d pull away and be not in the mood anymore. You just reposition yourself opening your legs which he knew to get in his knees.
He’s crying again and thanking you for finally letting him eat. He’s been waiting for so long, it's probably just been a week and since he saw you and his brothers teacher, and then it took him (almost) 48 hours before he was trying to ask you to do that with him. He just couldn’t flirt for the life of him.
His tears make his face so wet and sloppy and his hair is a mess. His make up, you applied it over every time he messed it up, even when you didn’t touch him but he’d always find a way to make a mess. His sobs had his cheeks glowing, crying while you laugh bc it tickles, “That feels so good.”
His cheeks were soaked that he could close his mouth and basically motorboat the inside of your thighs, his lips rubbing on every part of you, side to side, while his cheeks stimulated the side of your innerds, touching you everywhere, enhancing the whole body feeling.
His hands were around your hips to keep you from moving, which, he hopes you’ll punish him for later but he just needed it so bad. The needy whiny man was in front of you, just wanted a taste, and recieved the whole thing. Something tells you this would be the longest he’ll ever holdout for again.
“You’ve been so good Choso,” You lean forward to give him a kiss on his wet cheek. You make sure your hand is dry before lightly fixing his hair, your fingertips sending shocks throughout his starved form. “I wanna see you under me, get on the bed.”
He almost begs for another kiss before listening to you, going to lay in the middle of your bed, head on the pillow, but you look at him bored. You motion for him to sit up, as you cage him in on your knees, straddling the air.
Choso almost bucks his hips forward just to feel your soft skin, just the smallest touch to know he wasn’t dreaming, or better yet he wanted to squeeze his own thighs together to create some kind of contact. His aching erection wanted nothing more than you, but placing a hand on his chest, tracing it down and tickling him, he arches forward at your touch, to which you slap his thigh sharply.
“Hmm? Speak up baby, I can’t hear you.” You cooed. Now we’ve lost him, the man was babbling to himself, almost heaving and hyperventilating at the same time. His pants were long and drug out, and he couldn’t move. Subconsciously fearing you’d bring out the whip, like the one he’s seen on your bed, he freezes to just enjoy his situation a bit longer. “Come on, Choso,” Your fingers pinch his chin to face you. “Use your words.”
You can only look down at him, he’s still crying, he can’t even speak, you don’t let him. Grabbing greedily at his waist, pulling it towards you, lifting his legs and spreading him open was such a treat.
You knew to never have expectations of others bodies but his was better than you could have imagined.  The muscle and tattoos on his upper thighs were so hot, you get a good read of his body, the number of tattoos just confirm his masochism.
You notice his face before he started to let loose. You grab at the sides of his throat and squeezed, cutting out his whimpers. It was amazing, those cute noises really ignited your hunger, you were surprisingly becoming satisfied.
You smear at and pick up his cum with your hand, using it to palm at his sensitive parts. He careened into your hand as you kept him hard and even rubbed under to get his balls. He gasps back and starts crying again. “Hey, pay attention.” He almost cums again as he watches you use the rest of his cum from your hand to wipe along your slit, to add to your wetness. You stare into his eyes. “Do you want to go first?” He uses this chance to flip you around. He hastily plunges into you and is so pathetic with his stroke game you laugh at him, he thanks you for letting him cum in you.
You push his face off of you, grabbing him by his messy space buns you spit in his face and smear everything around. He pants and is so pussy drunk he’s only staring at you longingly after you keep a grip on his cheeks, finding a few seconds before he could find and stay focused on your eyes. As he was coming back, you decide to dig your fingers into his arms, enough to draw blood. He pants as it added a bit to his dying orgasm. You grip him and think how was life going to be like after this?
Well that’s exactly what you asked him. He, being shy, and fucked silly was trying to regain the feeling in his face before remembering that this was just the beginning:
Sub!Choso waiting for you to come how everyday after work.
Sub! Choso who usually knocks on your door lightly but with a raging hard on that he really needs you to help him out with.
Sub Choso who stays in the straps and keeps the toys you share in or stimulating him until you come back home.
Sub! Choso melting at your touch and never letting you do anything around the house again.
Sub Chose who wants to have sleepovers and you two had to explain to Yuki that its just you two sleepover.
Sub choso begging for you to touch him after a week bc of the last hasty move he did the other day had you decided to hold off and lock him out of your room.
Completely abandoning him, bringing Nanami and another back to your room in front of him,
teasing him with wearing almost nothing around the house when yuki’s gone, you were going to ruin him,
that was the goal now If he just can’t hold back then you shouldn’t either.
You who pinches Sub!Choso’s sides and nose when he comes off too needy, he cries for you and you honestly don’t know what you got yourself into.
Sub choso who insists on doing everything with you, showering, being in the kitchen with you, and if you do allow him in your room, hell sit on the floor and wait to see if you want to use him.
Sub Chose who really likes to fuck you on your period bc that’s blood magic and he dabbles tf in that
Its basically a love spell, and he doesn’t care. He thinks it's a way to get closer to you without hurting you, not the way you’d claw at his skin or even lightly cut him sometimes just to lick up the wounds.
Sub Choso always lowering himself around you bc he’s used to looking up at you
Sub Choso who gets jealous and asks why isn’t he enough to which you didn’t know his feelings were that deep so you two talk about your other pets, and what rules and other stuff going forward
Sub Choso who decided to act out out one day, knowing that you would be holding off for a bit after how crazy the last session went, he was begging for your attention.
Sometimes you liked to see such a pathetic beautiful man beg for you at the end of a long day, but when you held off, he would become a mess. Not the kind to melt all over the floor, but he'd be more desperate for your touch, eyes always on you, almost like a stalker that you'd almost want to call Nanami back to show him what will happen if he keeps bothering you when you're trying to work.
That day he fucked up, you were on your way out to have some time to yourself. Maybe just sit at a cafe, or at a park, maybe even just find a high hill and watch the sky, but Choso was blocking your path
Sub Choso asking where you were going as it was your day off and you hadn't said anything to him about your plans for the day.
You tell him to be good and to let you have an hour or so to yourself. Hearing this he freaks out a little bit, his fists ball up and his voice was trying to leave his throat. "You're gonna go see him again aren't you? I don't like this game, that you can have as many and use them whenever."
I know you hate waiting Choso but its not like it's your turn and his turn. And by the way I'm not going to see him, but you could always find another mistress.
Sub Choso who refuses the very thought and walks towards you, grabbing at your hands desperately that it hurt, "No!" He turns his head to hide his face and holds onto you, not letting you leave.
You're very quiet, enough for him to finally look back at you and he realizes he cut you with his nails. The grip he had on you created semi purple blotches on your wrists, and you stood there not moving.
Sub Choso realizing what he just did and releasing your hands before falling down to your feet. He kneels as he watches your face, knowing what you do to him unprovoked already had him both excited and frightened, but this time he didn't even know how badly his body wanted you.
As he submits and shudders at what he's done, you make a rain check on that walk and drag him back to your room by his collar.
You had choso kneeling on the floor as you restrained his arms to his back, ignoring his pleads and sorry's. Your pets don't touch you like that. They don't do whatever they want without your approval, Choso knew that and acted accordingly, even if it got annoying sometimes. His dependency was so rich, it was like getting a new puppy.
In this case you were going to need the muzzle. This was no time for bargaining, he will learn what he did was wrong.
"I'm- (y/n), please, I'm sorry I just wanted you so bad I-" You slap him hard, fingers slapping against his cheekbone. He grunts as it stung, and continues his sorry's. "I really didn't mean to!"
You put the damn muzzle on him, having him bite down on the gag inside, you tighten the straps as Sub!Choso looks petrified, though still accepting his punishment.
There was nothing holding you back now, you were pissed. Your hands were your money makers, not to mention if one of /them/ start to overpower you, you could lose the title altogether. Like you were going to let a tantrum denounce you.
You have him strip and kneel again, whipping out his back and silently watching him wince and recoil at each thrash. You wanted his back red, this was just your warning.
Pointing his chin to look up at you, you place your foot down on his crotch and stepped forward. He hisses and throws his head around, his eyes finding your cold ones, pleading again with more than his usual frenzied state.
You draw your foot back and stomp on him this time. Tears formed and flowed, he sat there, still, taking it.
While his eyes were cringing to the horror happening to his privates, you take a fist full of his hair and yank his head forward, trying to make a judgement of what he deserved next.
You take your foot off his poor wood, but granting him no relief as you whipped at his chest and exposed thighs. The noises he made through his gag should have at least been enough to crack a smile out of you, but your wrists were still a little red, and when you get angry you're usually one to give them back what they dished out, and sometimes even more when you're feeling generous.
Easing your heel back onto him, having him hold his breath as he doesn't know if you were to stomp at any moment, torturing him with the anticipation as your head was somewhere else.
You havent tried this one thing, though you thought you would have by now. Stepping off again, you go to your closet and place a big enough leash on the poignant bastard and tugging him towards your bed.
You sit at the edge, bending him over your legs, you place a blindfold on him as well, not letting him know what you were about to do.
You grab the bullet, coating it with your spit before sliding it into his ass. The new sensation had him squirm, sensitive to how your fingertips traces the small of his back, he was getting a bit overwhelmed, not being able to see or yell out, much less move his arms still, you plunge the small machine further in him, "As long as its past his prostate." You thought. "I'll push it this time."
Sub!Choso is completely at your mercy, tied up, silences, bent over, whipped over and over, he was loving it. Scared at how quiet you were but this was the level of manhandled he would fantasize about.
It wasn't anything wrong with the way you did it before, but you still cared just a little bit, he felt your hesitation and wanted you to be as free as you wanted, proving right now that you're capable of leaving him bedridden for days.
Sub!Choso who yelps and gurgles through his gag as you turn the vibrator on. You test it out, pulling at the string to slowly bring it closer and closer to his prostate. You sure were going to tease the fuck out of him this way before putting on the strap.
Sub!Choso who lays on you, hugging you as tight as he could while recovering from the beating you gave his contemptible hole.
Sub!Choso who whispers his thanks, his appreciation, his admiration, just loving babble as he slips from this to sleep.
You tell him to shut up as you hold him closer to you.

Is A Deity Calling Out To You?
Tumblr media
Connecting with deities can be a powerful and transformative experience, but it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start. If you feel drawn to a particular deity or are curious about exploring a spiritual connection, there are many signs to look out for that can help you recognize their presence.
Dreams: Pay attention to your dreams, as they can provide insight into your subconscious and may reveal symbols, messages, or images associated with a particular deity. If you experience recurring dreams or visions featuring a particular deity, this could be a sign that they are trying to reach out to you. Keep a dream journal and take note of any symbols or imagery that seem significant or out of the ordinary.
Synchronicities: Be mindful of repeated patterns or coincidences in your life that seem to be related to a particular deity. These may include seeing their symbols or animals associated with them more frequently than usual, encountering their name or teachings in unexpected places, or hearing people mention them more often than usual. If you notice a pattern that seems to be connected to a deity, this could be a sign that they are trying to connect with you.
Intuition: Trust your intuition and pay attention to any strong feelings or impressions that you have about a particular deity. You may feel drawn to them or have a sense that they are reaching out to you, even if you don't have any concrete evidence or experiences to support it. Follow your instincts and allow yourself to explore your curiosity and interest in the deity.
Physical Sensations: You may experience physical sensations when thinking about or encountering a particular deity. These could include a tingling or energy in your body, a sense of warmth or pressure on your skin, or other sensations that feel unusual or out of the ordinary. Pay attention to your body and how it responds to the presence of the deity.
Signs In Nature: The natural world can be a powerful source of connection and communication from the divine. Pay attention to any animals, plants, or other natural elements that seem to be associated with the deity, as these could be signs that they are trying to connect with you. For example, if you keep seeing crows or ravens, which are often associated with the goddess Morrigan, this could be a sign that she is trying to reach out to you.
Hearing Their Name: If you keep hearing the name of a particular deity mentioned or feel drawn to research or learn more about them, this could be a sign that they are trying to connect with you. Keep an open mind and follow your curiosity, as this can lead you to new insights and connections with the deity.
Inner Guidance: Pay attention to any messages or guidance that you receive from within, as these could be coming from a deity. You may have intuitive insights or sudden realizations that seem to be connected to the deity, or you may experience a sense of guidance or direction that feels inspired by them.
Remember that recognizing signs of a deity's presence and attempting to connect with them should always be done with respect and caution. Take the time to learn about the deity's history, teachings, and traditions, and approach any communication or connection with an open and humble heart.

Maybe also hands under your lovers clothing for the fire alarm soulmate AU? Please and thank you!
Hiya! Fist of all about the other ask two things: 1. not late at all! I was even going to rereblog it again tomorrow bc i'll have some free time then, I'm just happy you sent an ask at all and 2. I'm still thinkint the castle one over bc i don't know when i want it to happen.... it may take a little bit
N E ways, enjoy this thing i wrote while waiting for class to start and please excuse any mistakes
“Fancy seeing you here” a voice says, a voice Anakin knows well. He doesn’t look up from his feet, his legs stretched out in front of him as he leans on the back of a bench in front of the building. He opens his legs, and a new pair of feet step between them. “I think I recognize you, you must be my new roommate. Just a tip, when you have to come out because of the fire alarm, you take a jacket with you. Specially when it’s winter.”
Anakin looks up, his eyes immediately locking on the ones of the man in front of him, his lover, his husband. His soulmate.
“Sorry,” Anakin says, “I only speak with strangers if they are holding a sandwich.”
“Ah, I’ll keep that in mind for the next time.” Obi-Wan answers while nodding. “Will you remember the jacket?”
Anakin had remembered the jacket. But just before he opened the door he had seen that Obi-Wan was due to return from work in the next 5 minutes and had decided to leave it home.
“I don’t know, I think I may need someone to push the lesson into me.” Anakin says, Obi-Wan raises his eyebrows, an amused twink in his eyes. Anakin wants to kiss him. “But I am wearing jeans this time.”
“I can see that.” Obi-Wan says.
“And if I wear my jacket I have no excuse to do this.”
Before Obi-Wan can react or think about his words, Anakin reaches out and tugs his shirt out of his pants and, while Obi-Wan is distracted looking around at the people around them to check if anyone is paying attention to them, Anakin snakes his hands under the piece of clothing.
Obi-Wan inhales sharply and looks down at him, and Anakin knows it’s not only because of the touch of his cold hands against his heated skin, but because Anakin moves one of his hands immediately to his side, the exact place where he knows the soulmark is. Touching it sends an electrifying sensation through both of their bodies, a sensation that has been deeply explored with hands and lips and more, in a heated or lazy way under bedsheets, absentmindedly on cafés and cabs.
Obi-Wan’s hands move to hold Anakin’s, and for a second Anakin thinks that he will pull them away, too cold for Obi-Wan’s tolerance but he pushes them further against his body before he runs them up Anakin’s arms.
Anakin leans forward to rest his chin against Obi-Wan’s chest and look up to him, and Obi-Wan wraps his jacket around the both of them as best as he can while Anakin draws patterns against his skin, against his soulmark. There is a small smile on Obi-Wan’s lips when he looks down at Anakin.
They must look ridiculous.
Anakin doesn’t care.
Obi-Wan looks around again before his eyes settle back on Anakin.
Anakin will never get tired of looking into them. The beautiful blue and grey or even green depending on the light. He is so in love it’s almost ridiculous. The man in front of him is his soulmate, and Anakin will never get tired of revelling on it. He loved Obi-Wan before he knew they were soulmates, when it only brought headaches, confusion and guilt. He loves him now, when it’s easy and warm and passionate and heated. And he will love him in the future, when the grey hairs on Obi-Wan’s temples expand, when his smile lines grow, when they start appearing on himself. He will love him then too, and that’s the thing Anakin is most sure about in his life.
“I think it may be some time before we can go back to our home, do you want to go get some coffee? Maybe an early dinner?”
“I’m not wearing a jacket.” Anakin mumbles as best as he can with his jaw still against Obi-Wan’s chest.
“And is mine suddenly not enough?” Obi-Wan asks.
Anakin moves his hands so he can properly grab Obi-Wan’s sides, still under his shirt. He ruined Obi-Wan’s proper tucked-in-shirt look but he doesn’t care, and Obi-Wan doesn’t seem to care either. He could stay here, with his fingers against Obi-Wan’s skin and wrapped by him forever, but it will probably start being uncomfortable soon.
“You pay.” Anakin says as he finally pulls away.
“Whatever you say, my dear.”

Zoro and Luffy childhood friends au where Perona taught Luffy all about clothing confection and Uta taught Zoro how to dance and sing.
The funny part is that neither Zoro nor Luffy realize what the girls were doing until they were deep into the trap lol.
Perona started by giving Luffy random facts about bugs that produce material for webbing and then teaching him about bugs patterns and colors. She slowly roped him (ha!) into paying attention to all those details and explained that people are like bugs in the sense that they use clothing for many reasons: to protect themselves, to show they are dangerous or make people pay attention to them, to show their joy or freedom, etc etc etc.
She failed A LOT trying to make him take interest in any form of clothing confection tho. So much she was also in tears. If you wonder why she was dedicated, maybe she made a bet and her pride was on the line lol. Anyway, she followed by telling Luffy the relation between certain fabrics. Silk, leather, wool, mostly stuff related to animals and bugs, then found a way to connect those to other types of fabrics.
Perona was like "you need to recognize how some people dress to identify who has money, so you know who can pay you for more food" 😭😭😭
After a masterclass in manipulation techniques, Perona somehow made it. Gave herself an award and everything. Most important moment of their journey was when Perona taught Luffy how to fix his strawhat and told him that fixing your friends' clothing is a way to show love.
Uta's job was so much easier. She arrived one day and told Zoro she was teaching him breathing techniques to make him stronger. Then she went to teach him how to identify tones because (all according to her) sounds said a lot about the world around them and paying attention could make him a better fighter.
Next step was to convince the kid that dancing was almost like doing katas and that it was a good way to learn how to move along with things and still not hurt anyone. Uta gave him a million more reasons why to keep up with her plans: because adapting to any rhythm means he could adapt to any fighter, because he could learn to move each muscle individually, so Zoro could intimidate in a freaking party, to work on his space awareness, as workout routine, to become faster, to allow his body to flow for a better performance....
Uta convinced Zoro that he needed to take care of his throat and voice like he took care of his body. Warm up, practice, control it completely to your will. What is dancing if not the ability to tune your body to the sounds around you and become one with them?
I need to laugh. By the time they were teenagers, they were completely screwed. Being Luffy and Zoro, they just accepted it for what it was lol.
Perona can ask Luffy on the phone to describe Zoro's outfit if they have to go somewhere decent so he can change clothing accordingly.
Uta borrows Zoro sometimes because "the public loves the muscles!" and "you need to see their faces when Zoro's sing!" and also they win a ton of money on dubious bets.
Imagine the interactions with the rest of the Straw Hats... Imagine the chaos...

mwah your art is good and nice :>
can I ask for some advice? no worries if u don't want to answer.
do you have any tips on how exactly to practice art? everytime I ask for art advice everyone always says "practice" but idk what to practice first! do you have any strategies for learning how to draw something? do you do excercises? and if so how do they work?and are there any beginner mistakes I should look out for and change specifically?
thank you so much!! have a wonderful week :>
thank you so much! im ok w answering! i dont want to speak as if i am an expert on how to draw things in general as i am learning as well and definitely am not completely learned, so i might not be the best person to ask since im not very professional w my art as I do it as a hobby (and I can only speak on mostly digital cartoon matters) but i reallly hope to try and help u out even a lil ! im really happy that you’re eager to draw :] I wish you so much luck muwah muwah
i also hated when ppl told me “just practice” and i dont wanna inflict tht on u EITHER LOL but also thats just what i ended up doing for awhile but i tried to find some things to help ^_^
tips for practice: My number one rule is that practices should be challenging but still fun, I know it can get frustrating trying to redraw a pose over and over trying to get it perfect. And over time it rlly is all about muscle memory, the longer you draw the more your eyes will pick out specific shapes in everyday life and convert them into its own vision of them! or at least its good to look at life that way, try to pin point key shapes and stress less on details in practices. after you look at key points, THEN you can go over what you have and draw in and over it to make it more “complete.” To stop practices from getting too stressful I recommend starting out drawing what you want a little more simple looking than ur desired finished product. This helps eliminate the pressure of everything not looking “perfect” and keeps your art more loose and fun. Doing this a few times is gonna get ur brain to recognize patterns in art and how things look/flow in anatomy and such. dont get stuck in ur own head abt perfecting everything to the point you either 1) give up bc ur not at a level capable of it being 100% “perfect” or 2) focus so much on making it perfect that you end up saying the work looks “wonky” or stale in dynamics, So while I do think studies help, don’t get too lost in them. I always practice with media I enjoy too, whether it’s characters or fashion I enjoy.
Strategies learning to draw something: people get mad abt this one but I think tracing reference photos is great. its been awhile but When I tried learning to draw hands better at first I would trace them then put the traced image to the side of the canvas, then try and replicate what my mind saw as its most important angles and aspects. Same for clothing folds/hair/etc! I think it’s maybe not the best idea to trace the ref and use the tracings as is, because you learn more from tracing it then trying to replicate and simplify what u learned into the style you’re working in. Find what shapes you like from them and don’t over detail it. you may have to go by eye and think “what parts of this ref photo should i simplify to fit my style” and for me, its usually adjusting the length of the torso and then the limbs by associations. i dont recommend feeling like u need a reference for every art you make though, its ok to let ur own head try out its own sometimes too while trying to learn this, see if it remembers any call bad from the past referenced sketches! over time ull remember where everything goes more, these days i rarely kick myself to use refs but im sure they still would help to use, but figure drawing simple blobby figure in a bunch of random poses was a big thing i used to do as well to get better at full body art + overall dynamics (still does this). also paying attention to silhouettes is great
Exercises and how they work: I WANNA HELP U SO BAD BUT to be honest, all the works on my blog ARE exercises! i rarely actually do finished pieces, if u scroll thru my posts ull notice most r sketches. i usually just fill up a page and call it “warm ups” then i get attached to some of them, take a few, and just line them up pleasingly on a smaller page, then color them in (or sometimes fix the lines to be more clean too). im not rlly a person who “exercises” to practice, it more so happens from just me drawing a lot for fun as a hobby! but i really should. i will tell u this has humbled me a lil i need to start practicing too 😭 LOL but a good exercise is to look at what ur inspirations do, and study it. Make a collage and write out what you like most abt their styles/what u want to gain from them. For ref Here’s a page I did awhile ago when someone asked me abt my insps:
Tumblr media
i also look at fashion magazines and as well as anime figures and take insps from that sometimes with learning cool poses and compositions to convert into my own things
Beginner mistakes to look out for: its hard for me to pin point “mistakes” beginners make, as sometimes we cant avoid all of them or even notice them, progress comes from growing out of old ways. some mistakes are even the foundation of ur future amazing cool style! but i think some things to look out for could be these, from my own old art experiences
Hands were the first thing I learned bc i liked drawing them. I don’t know if that is the best way to go but I think it is smart to practice sooner than later, here is a lil guide thingggyyy wingyyy from awhle ago
Tumblr media
i see beginners shy away from drawing signs of age in people, sometimes adding too much detail on an older person in cartoon art makes it look weird, so i try and hit the key markings on ppls faces of age.
Too thin of lines. sometimes its a stylistic choice to use thin lineart, and it can look amazing ! but sometimes it can flatten an image if ur not familiar with its flow. im not saying use thick line art, but more so to keep in mind the weight of ur strokes, adding depth with a thick thin combo of line art can do SO much for the simplest of pieces. heres a visual from a while back when i talked abt my brush + more abt lines:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but if ur desired style is thin lineart that is cool too! tbh it was just harder for me as a beginner
sometimes artists think they need to do full lineart for everything and then hate how it looks compared to the sketch, do not fear i will introduce u to my bff: painting over a sketch, extractinging the lines, then calling it line art. i only do this sometimes but its a fun exercise-ish thing to do in a pinch. example:
Tumblr media
finding what shading fits ur art. sometimes ill see ppl starting out who have a style thats very simple, but they use a very detailed rendering process on it. this is not something id ever police of course, art is each persons own choice! And it CAN work. It can be so cute! but sometimes mixing two very contrasting mediums of art can throw off the “put together” look of it. i use to abuse the airbrush tool thinking it made my simple style look super cool and detailed, but looking back on it now those pieces looked a little off, having such a simple style have somewhat more realistic shading. dont get me wrong the ability i see ppl use rendering like that is so insanely talented! but i found cellshading to be a good match for cartoony art like my own. a tip i learned way too late abt that is rather than shading each layer by color picking a darker color, instead use a clipping mask over the entire art (above line art too as I color my lineart) and lasso tool the areas u want shaded + fill it w a saturated purple then set to multiply + lower opacity. also, sometimes coloring can come out chalky looking when u meant for it to be smooth and transitional, i think this comes from overshading and overlighting pieces without reason. pay attention to where the light source is, and focus on making the shaded and lighter areas nice shapes that cover the necessary areas, then u can add additional shading to the smaller details of what should have a casted shadow/light
its good to spice up ur art now rather than later, focusing making ur art pop more w backgrounds will help ur coloring skills look better too! i dont mean detailed huge backgrounds, a small lil color pallet and design rather than a blank white bg. like this will make u feel better abt it or at least it helped me *sweats* yeah:
Tumblr media
beginners tend to draw blank faces like “:)” but I think a good thing to do is try and get silly with expressions early on. It’s okay if the mouth hangs off the face cartoonishly with joy or shock, it’s ok if the eyebrows are super high in surprise.
tracing and pasting it as is (already said this but I’ve seen ppl do it a lot with hair styles and it makes it look alienated from the rest of the style) (final fantasy fans found critically injured) n if need a ref for a pose, using a real humans anatomy as-is doesn’t look quite right on a cartoonyish drawing. Shortening torso and legs usually comes out of this for me!
flip ur canvas i promise u it’ll be less embarrassing over time!
using guidelines for perspective and foreshortening is GREAT. Do it stylistically rather than realistically to add some groove to it...yay. Having silly perspective in art can make it look like a 10 so easily opposed to a normal front facing sketch. Look at cool poses from fashion magazines! Don’t be scared to draw something you don’t feel confident in conveying perfectly, this is why progress redraws exist :)
Drawing the hairline b4 u draw the hair is great, it helps u understand where their hair flows from, where it starts and stops, AND prepares u for drawing bald ppl. Also don’t make the head too big, the skull IS bigger up top, but sometimes I see an alien head affect.
Anatomy is an interesting mistake that beginners make a lot, but it’s one they find harder to notice! When I started out, all my art would be SO wonky, but I didn’t even realize it! It still happens today too! specifically though I see beginners struggle with the arms in this department. My advice is to try and measure them out and make sure they don’t go past the knees, and are the same length as each other when Unfolded. asking for criticism is hard but it helped me realize when i would make something bigger/longer than it should have been in my art, and stuck with me being able to go “oh... i see it LOL”
clothing wrinkles- do not over do it! Too many wrinkles and shading can look unpleasant and wirey- like a plastic table cloth all bunched up which isn’t exactly what ppl wear. pay attention to gravity too
Tumblr media
I hope this helped even a lil im sorry tht I’m not very good at explaining or didn’t have much to sayyy! If u have any troubles no guarantee I’ll have the answer, but ur always free to ask!

Cat Fight
Second had made his way home when he encountered a kid in a purple cat hoodie. He vaguely recognized it’s pattern at the same jacket that Sphinx wore in his video.
The kid looked up at him and gave him a smile, before turning and walking down the pathway behind him. Second followed the kid.
He was led to the back door of a building and the kid was sitting on a table.
“Hello. It’s nice to see you Black Bird.” They greeted.
Second gave a small smile. “Sphinx?” He asked.
“Yes. Glad you got my message.” Sphinx replied. He took off his hoodie.
Sphinx had green hair with orange all throughout. It didn’t make sense with the purple.
“So you know that I was there?” Second asked.
Sphinx gave another smile and got off the table. “Yes. I have eyes everywhere, and that includes you I know you’re worried about your lovers.”
“Yes. I don’t know where they are yet. I’ve been looking when All For One isn’t paying attention but-“ Second started to say.
“You need someone who can get him off your tail. Thankfully, I’m your person.” Sphinx interrupted.
Second gave him a frown. “You’re a damn kid. You could get seriously hurt if you get involved and I’m not bringing your body to your parents.”
Sphinx folded his arms and kicked Second in the shin.
“Watch your tongue. I’m literally only 15 years old. Besides, I’m on my own.” Sphinx revealed.
“Who exactly are you?” Second asked.
Sphinx gave a Cheshire grin. “You’ll just have to figure that out, won’t you?”

"ARE YOU OKAY?"
The words slip past his teeth before he could think, but it seems to be so natural of him to ask. Your focus is quickly plucked away by his voice, so soothing and calm. It's a shame that he asked, especially right now. Oh stars above, you wished you didn't want to cry.
"yeah! Y-yeah I'm....I'm fine, why do you ask?"
You sound as stupid as you feel, and you can tell Powder noticed the way you stuttered immediately. You've never been good at hiding your feelings from him, but you still tried, even if he was looking at you with a scrunched up brow. "ARE YOU SURE?"
"Of course! Seriously, I'm fine, hah-! I was just zoning out."
You try again, this time your lips curving into a false smile as you let out a laugh that felt too forceful. He doesn't answer you, his gaze flickering over to the side. He doesn't have to say anything to know that he recognizes that tone of voice you're using. It's the same one he's used dozens of times before, and the same one he'll use again in the future.
And yet, you see that his furrowed brow eases somewhat, a flicker of softness amidst your turmoil. You're feeling left out, aren't you? His frown slips into a tender smile, and you feel an arm wrap around you as you're pulled against his side. You can't help but shudder against his touch, as subtle as a sensation it was.
"OKAY," He says, the word slow and off-putting on his tongue. He didn't want to let it go, but he was going to for your sake. "DO YOU MIND IF I SIT WITH YOU THEN?" The question is innocent enough, and none of the others paid enough attention to either of you to see the way his phalanges gently rub your arm.
He hears the subtle, shaky breath that escapes you, feels the subtly of your body melting against his side. "N-No, I don't mind. Not at all," you mutter, and your head eases against his chest as his touch trails to rub your shoulder.
In times like these, you couldn't help but appreciate when he noticed that something was wrong, even if you weren't ready to admit it. He didn't pry, not too much, and you appreciated that. He looked at you as his phalanges traced patterns on your shoulder, down your back as he could find all the points of tension in your joints.
"GOOD," He mumbled, "I WAS STARTING TO GROW BORED WHEN I NOTICED YOU WEREN'T PARTICIPATING WITH US." That statement sounded so sincere, and you didn't want to admit how that made a tugging sensation develop in your chest. You looked up at him, and your voice came out strained as you felt a flicker of softness. "Yeah?" "OF COURSE,"
He coaxes you to stand up as he turns to the others, and you don't pay too much attention to what he says as he seems to be making an excuse. You see some of the others glance in your direction with concern, mainly Carmine, who gave you a pointed look, but you just nod your head and he let's it go.
By the time the two of you are walking off outside of the house, you feel slightly dazed since you weren't in the best of moods. He took your hand in his own, and you followed him as he approached the parked vehicles outside. This caused your face to contort, confused. "What are we doing?"
He turns to look at you for a moment, before he turns his skull back to where his motorcycle is parked. The sleek, blue exterior was inviting, but you still were reluctant. "I'M GOING TO TAKE YOU OUT ON A DRIVE, IS ALL!" He promptly stated, as if it were obvious. "You need to get some air, you haven't really left the house and I can tell you need it."
You give him an incredulous look, but he looks serious. "I'm fine, really I am..." "TRUST ME, JUST LET ME TAKE YOU INTO TOWN FOR A BIT. I PROMISE THAT THE MOMENT YOU WANT TO GO HOME, WE CAN, OKAY?" He's already grabbing his helmet, but he's placing it over your head as he speaks. His eyelights lock with yours, and you see how they dilate as he tilts his head at you.
He's speaking a bit more softly for you, and you know that he's not stupid. He wants to distract you for a bit. You want to tell him again that really, you're fine. Sure, you felt left out today. And sure, you've been sort of out of it since you've struggled leaving the house the past few days. But then again...
"You promise?"
"PROMISE."
He nods his head vigorously, letting you adjust the helmet as his smile grows twice as big. You can't help but want him to take initiative, and you appreciate that he's doing just that. You both knew that you needed it, and that the fresh air was going to make you feel better.
You let out a huff of a laugh despite yourself, but he's already helping you get on the motorcycle as he's in front, your hands trailing down his back to properly wrap around him, your face pressed against the curve of his spine where you can feel his ecto body already formed for you. He felt slightly squishy, but firm and...safe. He doesn't mention how he can feel your stress almost shedding off your shoulders, his shoulders rolling forward as he keeps his eyes up front.
"YOU WON'T REGRET THIS,"

Mindful Eating: Nourishing Your Body and Soul
Introduction:
In our fast-paced and busy lives, we often find ourselves eating on the go, distracted by screens, and rushing through meals without truly savoring the experience. This mindless approach to eating not only affects our physical health but also disconnects us from the joy and satisfaction that comes from nourishing our bodies. Mindful eating, on the other hand, offers a path to reconnect with our food, cultivate a healthier relationship with eating, and enhance our overall well-being. In this blog post, we will explore the concept of mindful eating and its numerous benefits.
Tumblr media
Understanding Mindful Eating:
Mindful eating is a practice rooted in mindfulness, which involves paying attention to the present moment with a non-judgmental awareness. When applied to eating, it encourages us to engage all our senses, be fully present, and tune in to our body's signals of hunger and satiety. It involves slowing down, savoring each bite, and appreciating the flavors, textures, and aromas of the food we consume. By doing so, we can develop a deeper connection with our body and the food we eat.
Cultivating Awareness:
One of the core principles of mindful eating is developing awareness around our eating habits. This involves recognizing our emotional triggers for eating, understanding our hunger and fullness cues, and acknowledging any mindless eating patterns. By becoming aware of our eating habits, we can make conscious choices that align with our health and well-being goals. It may involve identifying external cues, such as eating in response to stress or boredom, and finding alternative coping mechanisms.
Benefits of Mindful Eating :
Practicing mindful eating can have a profound impact on our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. By eating mindfully, we are more likely to consume an appropriate amount of food, which can support weight management. It allows us to fully experience the pleasure of eating, leading to greater satisfaction and reduced cravings. Additionally, mindful eating can improve digestion by promoting better chewing and slower eating, enhancing nutrient absorption and reducing digestive discomfort. Moreover, it helps us develop a healthier relationship with food, reducing guilt and negative self-judgment around eating.
Practical Tips for Mindful Eating:
Incorporating mindful eating into our daily lives may seem challenging at first, but with practice, it becomes a natural and enjoyable habit. Here are some practical tips to get started:
Create a calm eating environment by minimizing distractions like screens or loud noises.
Take a few deep breaths before each meal to center yourself and cultivate presence.
Engage your senses by noticing the colors, smells, and textures of your food.
Chew slowly and thoroughly, savoring each bite and paying attention to the taste and texture.
Tune in to your body's hunger and fullness signals, eating until you feel satisfied, but not overly full.
Practice gratitude for the nourishment you receive, appreciating the effort and energy that went into producing your meal.
Conclusion
Mindful eating is a powerful practice that can transform our relationship with food and bring greater balance and well-being into our lives. By slowing down, paying attention, and savoring the experience of eating, we can nourish not only our bodies but also our souls. Incorporating mindfulness into our meals allows us to break free from mindless eating habits, connect with our body's needs, and make choices that align with our overall health goals. Let us embark on this journey of mindful eating, one bite at a time, and experience the transformative power it holds.

The Power of Mindful Eating: How to Overcome Emotional Eating and Reach Your Weight Loss Goals
Are you tired of constantly battling with emotional eating? Do you find yourself reaching for food in times of stress or boredom, only to feel guilty and defeated afterwards? Mindful eating is a powerful tool that can help you overcome emotional eating and reach your weight loss goals.
What is mindful eating?
Mindful eating is the practice of being present and fully engaged in the experience of eating. This means paying attention to the food itself, as well as your body's hunger and fullness cues. It also means being aware of your thoughts and emotions, and how they may be impacting your eating habits.
Why is it important for weight loss?
Emotional eating is a common problem for many people trying to lose weight. We often turn to food as a way to cope with stress, boredom, or other negative emotions. However, this type of eating is not sustainable in the long term and can lead to weight gain and a negative relationship with food.
Mindful eating, on the other hand, helps you break this cycle by teaching you how to recognize and respond to your body's hunger and fullness cues, rather than relying on emotions. It also helps you become more aware of your thoughts and emotions, so you can make healthier choices.
How to practice mindful eating
Start by setting aside a specific time for eating. Avoid eating on the go or while doing other activities.
Take a moment to focus on your breath before you begin eating. This helps you become more present and engaged in the experience.
Take small bites and chew your food thoroughly. This helps you slow down and enjoy your food more.
Pay attention to the taste, texture, and smell of your food. Engage all of your senses in the experience.
Notice any emotions or thoughts that come up while you are eating. Recognize them, but don't judge them.
Stop eating when you feel satisfied, not full. This helps you learn to listen to your body's hunger and fullness cues.
Reflect on your eating experience afterwards. Notice any patterns or areas that need improvement.
Practicing mindful eating takes time and patience, but it is a powerful tool for overcoming emotional eating and reaching your weight loss goals. Give it a try and see the difference it can make in your life.

Breaking Free from Bad Luck: An Informative Guide to Bad Luck Removal
Tumblr media
Do you feel like you're constantly swimming against the tide? Do you feel like you are encountering one obstacle after another? Are you convinced that bad luck has taken up permanent residence in your life? If so, you're not alone. Many people experience periods where it seems like misfortune follows them wherever they go. But fear not! There are effective methods to break free from the cycle of bad luck and invite positive energy back into your life. In this guide, we'll explore the concept of bad luck removal and provide practical tips to turn your luck around.
Understanding Bad Luck:
Before we dive into the solutions, let's take a moment to understand what bad luck is. Bad luck can manifest in various forms, from minor inconveniences to major setbacks. It often stems from negative energy or unresolved issues that disrupt the natural flow of positivity in our lives. Whether it's a string of failed relationships, financial struggles, or health problems, bad luck can leave us feeling frustrated and defeated.
Identifying the Signs:
Recognizing the signs of bad luck is the first step towards overcoming it. Do you find yourself facing repeated challenges in specific areas of your life? Are you experiencing a series of unfortunate events that seem beyond coincidence? Pay attention to patterns and recurring themes. They can offer valuable insights into the source of your bad luck.
Removing Bad Luck:
Now that we've identified the problem. Let's explore strategies for bad luck removal and restoring balance:
Positive Affirmations:
Affirmations are powerful tools for reprogramming the subconscious mind. By repeating positive statements such as "I am lucky and blessed," you can gradually shift your mindset. You can also attract more favorable outcomes.
Energy Cleansing:
Just as we cleanse our bodies to rid them of toxins, we can cleanse our energy to remove negativity. Practices such as smudging with sage, burning incense, or using crystals can help purify your surroundings. Create a more harmonious atmosphere.
Gratitude Practice:
Cultivating gratitude can work wonders in dispelling bad luck. Take time each day to reflect on what you're grateful for, no matter how small. This simple practice can shift your focus from lack to abundance. It can attract more positive experiences into your life.
Feng Shui:
The ancient art of feng shui offers valuable insights into creating harmony and balance in your environment. By arranging your living space according to feng shui principles, you can enhance the flow of energy. You can also invite good fortune into your life.
Visualization Techniques:
Visualization involves mentally picturing your desired outcomes as if they've already happened. By visualizing yourself living a life free from bad luck, you can send powerful signals to the universe. You can also manifest positive change.
Seeking Professional Help:
Sometimes, bad luck removal needs a pro's touch. Healers or spiritual practitioners offer help through methods like energy healing or Reiki. With their personalized guidance, you can navigate your path to good luck with ease.
Embracing Positivity:
Ultimately, breaking free from bad luck is about adopting a positive mindset. It also involves taking proactive steps to shift your energy. Instead of dwelling on past misfortunes, focus on the present moment and the endless possibilities. Remember, you can create your luck and shape your destiny.
Conclusion:
Bad luck may seem like an insurmountable obstacle. However, with the right mindset and tools, you can overcome it. Heart calming foods

Sleep Apnea and Nutrition: Dietary Tips for Better Management
Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing or shallow breaths during sleep, often leading to disrupted sleep patterns and daytime fatigue. While continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy remains the primary treatment for sleep apnea, certain dietary strategies can complement treatment efforts and promote better management of the condition. At Sleep Center, we recognize the importance of nutrition in sleep apnea management and offer the following dietary tips to support better sleep and overall health:
1. Maintain a Healthy Weight:
Obesity is a significant risk factor for sleep apnea, as excess body weight can contribute to airway obstruction during sleep. Adopting a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can help promote weight loss or weight maintenance, reducing the severity of sleep apnea symptoms.
2. Limit Consumption of Alcohol and Sedatives:
Alcohol and sedatives can relax the muscles in the throat, increasing the likelihood of airway collapse and exacerbating sleep apnea symptoms. Limiting alcohol intake and avoiding sedatives before bedtime can help minimize airway obstruction and improve sleep quality.
3. Avoid Heavy Meals Before Bedtime:
Consuming large, heavy meals before bedtime can exacerbate symptoms of sleep apnea by increasing gastric reflux and putting pressure on the diaphragm. Opt for lighter, well-balanced meals earlier in the evening to promote better digestion and reduce the risk of nighttime reflux and breathing disturbances.
4. Optimize Fluid Intake:
Adequate hydration is essential for overall health and may help reduce the viscosity of nasal and throat secretions, promoting clearer airways during sleep. However, excessive fluid intake before bedtime can increase the frequency of nighttime awakenings to urinate. Aim to stay hydrated throughout the day while gradually reducing fluid intake in the hours leading up to bedtime.
5. Emphasize Anti-inflammatory Foods:
Chronic inflammation may play a role in the development and progression of sleep apnea. Incorporating anti-inflammatory foods such as fatty fish, nuts, seeds, olive oil, fruits, and vegetables into your diet can help reduce inflammation and promote better respiratory function.
6. Consider Dietary Supplements:
Certain dietary supplements, such as magnesium, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids, have been associated with improved sleep quality and respiratory function. Consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplements to ensure they are safe and appropriate for your individual needs.
7. Practice Mindful Eating:
Mindful eating involves paying attention to your body's hunger and fullness cues, as well as the sensory experience of eating. By slowing down, savoring each bite, and listening to your body's signals, you can better regulate portion sizes and promote healthy eating habits conducive to better sleep and overall well-being.
Conclusion:
While dietary modifications alone may not cure sleep apnea, they can complement traditional treatment approaches and contribute to better management of the condition. By adopting a balanced diet rich in nutrient-dense foods, limiting alcohol and heavy meals before bedtime, and practicing mindful eating habits, individuals with sleep apnea can optimize their nutrition to support better sleep and overall health.
