It's hard to take the Tommy storyline seriously especially knowing that it was supposed to be Eddie and Tommy. People say the chemistry is through the roof with Buck and Tommy, but I barely saw any and most of it was cringe. (They had three scenes together and people are throwing Eddie out. Yeah just prove that it's not buddie they want, but more kissing other guy. They don't accept girlfriend, but the first guy is the perfect one. Be for real.) The way they wrote episode 4 was done for Eddie so all of this comes out of left field with the Tommy and Buck.

I can't take it seriously and honestly I hope he's gone soon. Like usual Buck gets all the storyline and Eddie is left with barely anything. Also I'm sorry, but I find it funny that this was all last minute planning and Buck got Eddie coming out storyline.

Sorry I had to vent. It's feeling like the Buck show again.

I have to admit, it is kind of hard to take the pairing seriously when we know Tommy was supposed to be with Eddie originally, another "fine patchwork" from the 911 creative team.

I hate last minute patches, those make for dumb storylines, like a nun Marisol, like wtf? Most men catholic or not usually fantasizing about nuns, religious or not. - I'm guessing gay men, don't lol

I have to say that both Oliver and Lou are giving it the old college try, but to be honest, the "platonic" bromance we saw between Eddie and Tommy had more chemistry than Buck and Tommy.

And even if they decided, last minute, to get Tommy with Buck, they could have written it so much better, than Buck OOC hurting Eddie physically for attention from the virtual stranger Eddie hung out with for two weeks. (Speaking of dumb storyline and patches).

I do agree that the whole TommyBuck became a thing very quickly, like buddie never existed and Tommy and Buck have been together for almost a season, which would have been more time to actually prove this match worthy of the praise it's getting after a couple of episodes.

Also, not to antagonize anyone, we all know if they'd brought back Lucy like it was originally planned (though how it was supposed to lead to a gay storyline is beyond me) Arielle would have gotten so much backlash that it would make ppl wonder about the selective feminism in this fandom. (though I have to say that Lucy being besties with Eddie could have been epic).

I also have to say that dazed and confused Buck is so not how I thought bi!Buck would look and I thought by Maddie's comments over the years that it would be anything but surprise for her. Sometimes the continuity of the show is a bit... wonky.

And indeed episode 4 that was originally written for Eddie does feel a bit left field with Buck, but I think Lou and Oliver handled it well. I love Lou's expressions to be honest, they tell a lot that isn't being said. - So much like Ryan now that I think about it.👀

Making it all about Buck again, is indeed a bone of contention I have with the writers and showrunners. This story was tailored for Eddie and they should have followed through, the catholic guilt, the internalized homophobia, and all the mixed feelings would have been delicious and made more sense than the nun crap we got.

I have a lot to say, some flattering, some less.

On the bright side this season have hope yet, I doubt we get much of Tommy for long, I was already spoilered that he is not here to stay, but he will play a part at Chimney's rescue, I love that idea.

I just hope he doesn't get killed off.

Also I wouldn't mind a threesome before we get buddie, if we get buddie lol

So yeah, the Evan Buckley show indeed, but Buck has always fan favorite so no surprise there.

I love Buck, but 7 seasons later demand that there will be some growth that sticks, what drives me crazy that we're still getting the same childish pouting mannerism from him and that it is all good somehow because that's Buck. 🤷‍♂️

I do love Lou/Tommy, he's perfect for this storyline. As someone who is observing without the "OMG TOMMYBUCK" glasses, 7x05 pretty much seals the fate of TommyBuck, Tommy's "You're adorable" is a death sentence for a relationship in any standards, many things could have been said, "I find you hot/sexy as hell" "I would really like to be with you" anything except you're adorable, adorable is a thing you say about babies and puppies, and though we all consider Buck a golden retriever puppy, he's a "hot hot firefighter man" - not adorable. - adorably confused maybe. An Ally if you will 😂

Also, I have yet to gif it, but in that last scene between them Tommy's smile looks like he's happy, but his eyes tell a different story, one that says "As much as I would like to believe I am the one you want I know better." He knows they won't last long.

And that "Evan" felt to me more like, "We have barely made it past the first date, and we barely know each other, A WEDDING? Are you serious rn?"

Obviously everyone else would disagree with me, but COME ON, who invites a failed first date to a wedding? Like Buck lost all sense of direction in his effort to prove his okay-ness with his new bi-ness.

At least he has a rainbow in his instagram lol

Anyway, all that's left is set the clock and wait for Madney's wedding, a wedding has a way to rectify things or just throw everything into utter chaos, either way we get a married Madney and an adventurous wedding. - That will be an episode I watch, solely for Maddie and Chimney. - Anything else would just be bonus ;)

So I have this cousin who is a BTS army and also homophobic. She hates every gay romantic ship that ever exist in between BTS. She always watch the real content. Every Run BTS, Bon Voyage, Weverse Live etc. When we're tghter we sometimes talk about ship and everytime she express her disdain towards taekookers. She is aware about culties manipulated behavior. She always speak up towards those culties and I kinda admire that. Once we're having this ship talking and she said something that kinda shook me. She said 'I hate Jikook more than taekook'

And I was furious but can't say anything to her cause she doesn't know that I support gay relationship. My family is a strict religious family so it's prohibited you know. So I said why 'you hate their interaction'

Her answer is like this ' There's something between them that I can't pinpoint. It seems like they don't have any boundaries. I can tell even with my eyes closed taekook isn't real not even million years. I always find their interaction cute, brotherly or friendly . But about Jikook I'm not sure what to say. Jm always acted different when he is with Jk and so do Jk. Every member flirt with each other but Jm and Jk when they do that it makes me uncomfortable. Their flirting is suggestive not brotherly at all.' Then she also point out which bestie gift you a private journey then make a video out of it. Then there's ear sucking. Who the hell even do that. 'Comfort my best friend by sucking his ear' even straight couple don't do that.' And she is even more mad when Jm went NYC and didn't post anything, kept it private.

I'm actually glad you sent me this ask.

Just goes to show you exactly why big chunks of this fandom are just ignoring Jikook.

It's not about their hate of shipping. Some of them hate the shipping, like your cousin, who sees how demented TKKs are, JK and Tae's bond is friendship and how pushing a queer relationship on them is pure shit.

But, with Jikook it's not the shipping they can't deal with (many claim it is, but that's way easier than admitting otherwise).

With Jikook it's Jikook - JK and JM and what is between them - they just cannot deal with.

These two men are just too much for them to handle. They are too real, as in "this is not a friendship we are seeing here...this is an actual queer relationship...nope, not dealing with that..."

Their bond, their relationship, their flirting, their everything are just too much in their faces.

So they don't want to hear about the ship, but they mainly don't want to hear or see Jikook together. And when Jikook are Jikooking, they are playing the avoidance game.

Her comment about JM's trip to NY, that one caught me a little off guard. Even that. JM travelling to NY and staying private about it, has them off balance. Because once again, it's so damn obvious that JM was there for JK and JK alone, and what they had was theirs and private and just MORE than a bandmate going to support another bandmate. Even that, by now, is obvious to your cousin, and I can only assume many other army.

You know, those that we have been saying for years now that simply choose to ignore JM and JK, their bond, their connection, their chemistry, their love.

This here, is exactly why their friendship isn't even mentioned. Because people have eyes and brains and see that it's sooooo much more than just a strong friendship.

So they ignore.

They don't talk about them.

They don't celebrate JM going to support JK for his solo debut in NY but they celebrate Tae going on stage at Inkigayo.

They talk about JK's lives without mentioning the Jikookery.

They take JK's words and twist them just so they don't have anything to do with JM. And then when he mentions another member it's a full blown party.

They cannot avoid JK mirroring JM's Face concept in his Seven photoshoot, so they either joke about it (JK's lazy stylists) or name call JK (thief, lazy etc.), everything but saying it's intentional and meaningful.

Your cousin there, she's (?) not any different than a big part of this fandom. And yes, it's homophobia driven. And all about the denial.

"If we don't see it or talk about it, then it's not there".

So, when Jikookers say that most of army are TKKs, I don't really agree with that. Yes, there are a lot of TKKs out there. But I think it's less about them being TKKs and more about them unwilling to deal with the fact that 2 members of their favourite band are actually a queer couple. Much of this is homophobia driven, some of it is fear. Of what it actually means for 2 out of 7 to be romantically involved.

And then, for these fans, it's easier to celebrate TKK interactions because they are safe, friendly, NOT QUEER. While Jikook are all but just friendly, and that, to that part of the fandom is like:

I think the thing we've lost sight of with the concept of "good faith" identities is that, crucially, you do not get to decide that someone is identifying as something in bad faith.

I've seen anti-mspec monos, anti-transmasc/male lesbians, anti-endos, anti-SAM users, anti-transfemmasc, anti-afab transfem and amab transmasc, anti-nondisordered system, anti-kin, anti-agere (even nonsexual), anti-sexual littles, anti-NPD and anti-ASPD, anti-self-dx, and so many more say "all good faith identities are welcome".

If you have "all good faith identities are welcome" followed immediately by "but x identities do not interact", you are not safe for all good faith identities. Full stop, period, no exceptions.

To take some more "controversial" identities, I know kin blogs that welcome "all good faith identities" but not endels because it's "unhealthily encouraging delusions". I know trauma-focused servers for littles that rather than saying "we are not equipped to handle sexual content" call sexual littles and their systems BOTH predators and child molestors for allowing littles to express autonomy as members of adult-bodied and adult-brained systems.

I know plural spaces that draw the line at identifying as a different internal identity than the body, especially when it comes to disability as one example. I know plural spaces that say headmates that have never once in their life been able to speak, while fronting and in headspace, are not allowed to call themselves nonverbal. I know plural spaces that say that fictives and soulbonds are appropriating from their own cultures and past lives if they keep their NAMES, even when the body is not even white!

You are not capable of determining if someone is identifying as something in good faith, because all good faith means is that they GENUINELY feel that is who they are. That's it.

If you think identities that someone genuinely feels like they are, are somehow harmful or morally wrong, say it with your whole chest. Don't hide behind nice-sounding politically correct words to say that you believe any identity that someone really feels is true is fine, EXCEPT those evilbad ones that are ACTUALLY really harmful and bigoted and bad and actually oppressing REAL women*/lesbians or gay men/trans people/systems/etc/etc/fucking etc.

And quite frankly, some of y'all need to remember that only actions can be moral, and bodily autonomy is a fundamental human right that is never immoral to exercise. Identity cannot be harmful because it is a feeling, not an action, and changing your body to affirm an identity cannot be harmful because it is exercising bodily autonomy. It doesn't matter if someone is getting plastic surgery to look like a doll or having a limb removed to help with their BIID or saying "I am x" because that is what their internal identity is.

You respect it even if you don't understand, or you're a bigot who is fundamentally anti-autonomy and therefore dangerous. Period.

(*Note: I only name women because it's incredibly rare for anyone to claim that people are oppressed "real men" outside of the context of marginalized men who are actually oppressed, and then the claim isn't "real men" but "marginalized men". Even in the rare exceptions, such as te/rfs claiming trans men prey on gay cis men, they are still claiming it's about the marginalization of "homophobia", but it is a common tactic of te/rfs to claim "real women" are being oppressed by trans people. i was wondering if youre so inclined if u would mind explaining whats so good about disco elysium? all i ever see ppl say is that its communist and theres old gay men which is like. well cool but that doesnt tell me anything about it actually. it seems like a lot of reading but its not like thats stopped me before (<- read all of orv on your reccommendation and hasnt stopped thinking about it since)

disco elysium is just a really meaningful piece of work. For starters, the prose is beautiful when it's not being funny as well, the world is rich and intricate and fully believable, and the characters are deeply compelling. Disco Elysium has you playing as an amnesiac detective coming out of the tail end of a more or less suicidally thorough bender a completely different person. It's up to you to pick what kind of person he is, but you can't choose to be Not a fuckup. You're still just a fuckup. You're always a fuckup.

I really found the way disco elysium dealt with mental illness to be super refreshing and honestly the most cathartic almost any media has been on the subject, for my personal tastes. I find a lot of media where mental illness comes into play leans either too indulgent or too saccharine for me. By indulgent i mean it really wants you to buy into How Sad we're supposed to feel about our character's mental state. And by saccharine I mean stuff that's focused almost exclusively in portraying mental illness in an almost hurt/comfort way, for lack of a better term. Disco elysium is not about the poignant, tragic beauty of mental illness nor is it about taking this character on a journey of Coping and Healing, although you could definitely play it closer to one way or another. Disco elysium is a game about being at war with your own brain and body, but also you still also need to work because. Well. It's your job, dipshit. It's humorous, it's crass, it's completely off the wall, capable of balancing the absurd and mundane in severe extremes to result in the realest feeling portrayal of mental illness I've come across. It handles addiction in what I'm sure is a similar way, but I can't speak as much on that subject because I don't have any firsthand experience with being an addict despite my best attempts to develop some sort of chemical dependency in the last two years.

But also yes, the game is very much about communism. Everyone saying that is absolutely correct but I think it's hard for people who haven't played it to understand just how About Communism it is. The author of the game and the novella its based off of is a self-proclaimed communist from estonia. This is not a western perspective on communism, nor is it a truly soviet one. It's a perspective on communism from someone who grew up in a country that was occupied by the soviet union multiple times and only regained its independence in 1991. It's a really fascinating thing to engage with because it just approaches politics so differently than any western stuff I've seen.

The game is in many ways miserably depressing and wholly pessimistic, but it's not the pessimism of the truly misanthropic doomer, it's the kind of pessimism you find in someone who is looking for any reason not to be pessimistic and just not finding any. It's a narrative that looks into it's main character, and looks into it's own world and is desperately searching for any reason to believe there's hope there and coming up empty handed every time but, god damn it, still looking. I think that right now something with that sort of message is important. It's a piece of writing that says to it's audience 'things are bad and getting worse, and we can't pretend otherwise, but this is your world. live in it.' And also it's really fucking funny. It's really one of those things I think as many as people a possible should experience. You won't find anything else like it in the world right now.

"Hellfire" is way too relatable to young, queer Christians (or former Christians)

I'll elaborate

Fair warning, I'll be discussing the relationship between queerness (specifically sexuality), religion, and faith, homophobia, internalized homophobia, and misdirected blame.

I'll start this off by saying I was raised in a fairly conservative church from the age of 2 onward. I learned that homosexuality was a horrible sin, but that queer people needed love and support without acceptance. Basically, hate the sin, love the sinner.

And then I figured out I liked girls and proceeded to have a months-long crisis of faith that I couldn't talk to anyone about. "Hellfire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame was actually a super helpful song in that time because, at its core, it is a song about sexuality and religion coming into conflict. (There's also a solid dose of racism and misogyny in that song, but that's a different post)

As a protestant, I prayed to God instead of Mary, but here, he's talking about the pride he takes in his status within the church. He's ashamed of his feelings, so he's puffing himself up defensively. He may also be trying to show Mary, "Hey, look at all I've done for you! I've done everything you asked! Why are you cursing me with this horrid disease?"

What he doesn't understand is that it's not a disease. He's just experiencing normal, human attraction and panicking because he's been taught that those feelings absolutely cannot co-exist with his position/faith.

Women, dude. Women are gorgeous. Here, he's expressing his frustration at his own inability to control his "bad" feelings. He also seems to be asking Mary why God is punishing him with a temptation he's ill-equipped to handle. (God generally allows Christians to be tempted by such things so that we recognize how much we need Him, for anyone who's curious about the theology there).

Jesus says in Matthew 5 that thinking about sin (lust/adultery in this particular case) is just as bad as committing the sin itself in God's eyes. As I said above, God is probably trying to show Frollo that he's a sinful person just like everyone else, and shouldn't hold himself above everyone else. Unfortunately, Frollo didn't learn that lesson and, well, the rest of the movie happened.

In relation to queerness, since homosexuality is taught to be a sin, thinking about someone of the same sex as you in a romantic light is seen as just as bad as actually dating them. I use the romantic example instead of the attraction example because lust is a sin, but loving and wanting a relationship with someone is not! Young, queer people may have been taught that it is, however, which makes that last line particularly devastating.

Now, he's trying to blame the person he's attracted to for his own feelings and absolve himself of blame. Unfortunately, for Christians who are discovering their attraction to fellow men or women, the guilt can be crushing! We're often taught about non-heterosexuality as one of the most taboo of sins! When you find out that you are "one of those heathen, godless gays" a lot of people will do everything in their power to get out from under the blame. Surely, it can't be their own fault! It must be the fault of the person they're attracted to, or that episode of glee they saw, or even God Himself for tempting them!

Obviously, this blame is misplaced. Queerness isn't caused. It just is. And like all of the other diversities God created, it has a place and a purpose.

Mood. Frollo has switched from blaming Esmeralda for his attraction to blaming God. (Also, if this were sung by a woman, that "made the devil so much stronger than a man" line takes on an entirely different meaning)

Here, he's begging for protection and relief. He wants things to go back to the way they were. He wants to be free of the moral conflict instead of walking through it. It's a very relatable sentiment! Finding out that you're The Other your community has warned you about your whole life flips your world on its head!

In order to reconcile your sexuality and your faith, you cannot shy away from the conflict, no matter how painful it is! You have to do your own research. You have to think your own thoughts. You have to question everything you've been taught. But I promise, you will come out better for it.

Destroy Esmeralda

And let her taste the fires of Hell!

Or else let her be mine and mine alone

This goes deeper into the "free me from this moral conflict" point. There are really only a few ways that can be done. You can abandon your faith, repress your sexuality, or force the two to get along. Abandoning one's faith is the most common reaction in the queer community because faith, unlike sexuality, is a lifestyle you can choose. However, for a lot of people, their faith is too important to lose.

That only leaves two options. Repressing one's sexuality is usually very damaging to one's mental health. Bottling up all the guilt and shame however, is sometimes easier than doing the research and reevaluating one's worldview.

The "or else let her be mine and mine alone" is Frollo pleading with Mary to give him a way to express his sexuality in a religiously acceptable way. Luckily, that's pretty easy for queer Christians! The Bible gives a lot of tips and expectations for marriages. They are generally framed for hetero couples (because they're the most common), but they apply to homosexual couples as well. You just need to read between the lines.

Paul says in Corinthians 7 that some people should not be married at all (and I think he also implies that he's ace?). That means that ace/aro people and those in queerplatonic relationships are also still in line with the Bible! No conflict there.

This is 100% Frollo making Esmeralda responsible for his feelings and not taking accountability for his actions. For the record, that is something you should definitely not do!

God have mercy on her

Or she will burn!

Okay, the first two lines are nice. He's asking for clemency on Esmeralda's behalf for her (imagined) sin of seduction. Then, he asks for clemency for his own (not imagined) sin of lust (but alas, not his pride). The last two lines are a false dichotomy he's created by believing his lust is Esmeralda's fault.

In summary, this song was way too relatable to little 14-year-old me. If you are going through the same thing, don't abandon your faith and don't ignore your feelings. There's a middle ground, I promise. You just need to do your own research and think your own thoughts, as hard as that may be in practice.

Also, be careful who you ask questions to. Remember that your pastors at your conservative church, well-meaning as they may be, have a vested interest in keeping you ignorant of the queer community. Try to find both sides of the story and, if you can do so safely, talk to other queer Christians.

Small Thomas/Lennart coffee AU.

He is in uni right now trying to earn a living so he chooses to work at a coffee shop with Laura, the only person who can speak German (and other lenguages on the side).

He develops a small friendship with her which is nice, especially since he is just an international student with not a lot friends in his first year.

But he doesn't mind having only one friend after school, it's chill, he is chill.

Then one day as they are about to close, Lennart can hear some... he doesn't know how many, but there are a lot of motorcycles at the doorway.

It's strange. They are about to close and it's not like they are willing to ask for something right as they are about to do that, right? Yeah, it's probably just another store they are going to.

And then they don't

A huge, muscular man wearing a Hawaiian T shirt and cargo shorts in the middle of the freaking night comes knocking on the door. The glass tainted windows probably hidding him while Lennart can see the man, and his golden hair feet long (God he could possibly fit inside of him).

He doesn't know I he should answer it. Laura is cleaning the backrooms and he is getting the tables done so obviously he should but at the same time his gut tells him NO. DO NOT.

It's a mixed reaction all together.

Once the bell almost breaks due to the rough handling of the door, Lennart appears and just swings the door open, stelling his nerves for everything that is about to come!

Death

Most likely it's death.

Still, before they catch on that Laura is in the establishment, he will open the door first

And oh dear God is he tall. Handsome too. Lennart always had more of a fascination with men than he did with women. And when this entire man was just the epitome of that...

NO FOCUS! He isn't even gay and he is definetly out to kill somebody here.

"Can... Can I help you with something?" He tries to say it in the most soothing version that he can't, but the German accent he has makes it sound too serious.

The motorist laughs at his comment, those sound entering his soul heart like the beats of a drum.

"Does Laura Sokolova work here by any chance?" He pulls out the smoke in his hand as he says so.

Ah, they know her. They KNOW her. Wh-what h-how could they know her?? Is she affiliated with them?

Wait no! Laura who studies even in the after noon! Laura Sokolova who wants a masters degree in aerospace engineering. How could SHE of all people be related to this, probably gand leader, motorists.

"I'm sorry but who are you?" He knows he isn't the best person to defend her but dammit, he has to at least do something for her, especially when she was so quick to help him get used to living in the US.

The motorist send down a chilly glare through the sunglasses, again, in the middle of the freaking Night, but the smile still lingers.

"I don't need to tell you that to you."

He is playing with fire over here. "I think you should." Some whistles go out in mid air. He doesn't know what the heck those mean.

The smile leaves him. Lennart, for the first time, understands what the New York winter feels like.

"And for what reason should I?" He leans even closer, letting the other man have better sight at his teeth, God he would rip him open, he would only need one bite probably to attack his neck. The smell around his is, surprisingly sweet, shampoo like, he doesn't know what kind of feeling he is supposed to get out of this but

He is still scared.

"Answer, pretty boy."

By command he does. "I—"

"Thomas?"

The two look back at her who has already finished cleaning the rest of the backrooms and is now... there, standing right behind him with a genuine curious look in her eyes.

Lennart doesn't know what to say next before Thomas just abruply passes through him and begins to hug her with a sudden smile on his face.

Much to Lennart's surprise Laura isn't even half as nervous or scared as him. She even looks mildly annoyed.

Laura Sokolova everyone...

"What the heck are you doing here?"

"It's the grandma's birthday tomorrow! How could I not be here! I'm sure you still have some desserts left right? A cake or two made out of coffee or strawberry, just as she likes it!"

"Um..." The two turned back to him, Laura suddenly looses all of her annoyed traits and goes back to the serious pokerface from before.

Gothic Horror HCs But Using The Penny Dreadful Versions As Well Cus I Like Them

Hello, So recently I have been really obsessed with 1800s gothic horror literature.

My favorite books are (in order);

1. Frankenstein The Modern Prometheus

2. The Picture Of Dorian Gray

3. The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde

4. Dracula

So imagine my fucking excitement when I heard there was a show that used THOSE EXACT FOUR BOOKS!!!!

Anyway I thought I'd take the time to talk about my favorite characters from the books/show and hcs I have for them all.

Now massive Trigger Warning for some ableism/sanism from the victorian era but also current day, and also queermisia.

All of these characters are canon ND I believe based off of their canon "madness" and I also believe they were all queer men.

Victor Frankenstein

Victor is a trans man you must understand this. He literally has postpartum depression in the book. He is also forced into an arranged marriage with a woman but has so much more chemistry with his best friend Henry Clerval. I think he's gay and his love for both Elizabeth and Lilly are just comphet. (He loves Elizabeth like a sister tho).

Victor is also disabled in the book. In Penny Dreadful he also has asthma! I also hc Victor is autistic. In the book he has a special interest in alchemy and science. He info dumps about poetry and clocks a lot in Penny Dreadful lmao. He's also just awkward like me fr fr. There was also a rlly funny scene in Penny Dreadful where everyone noticed this one character was a trans woman and made a "face" of surprise. Victor never did because honestly I don't think he fucking noticed. Which made me laugh because I didn't either.

Dorian Gray

This man is just me sometimes and I kinda hate it. Definitely has BPD. He treats life as a fantasy and has a hard time applying reality to reality. He also will love you one second and can hate you so passionately the next. Henry Wotton is most definitely his favorite person. There's also an entire chapter in the book dedicated to talking about his hyperfixations. Dorian is also bisexual! He falls in love with a few women in the book and Penny Dreadful. But also many men! Oscar Wilde was gay and put a lot of himself into Dorian lmao.

Henry Jekyll

Look the guy with daddy issues. Seriously out of all the things they chose to adapt for Penny Dreadful this made me laugh the most (in a good way). It's a random throwaway line in the book but I'm glad they kept it because his father leads to Henry's toxic mindset. Henry feels the need to be respectful in high society and not indulge his "indecent" thoughts. These thoughts include things like murder but also homosexual desires. The man is gay, love that for him. Don't let the musical fool you. I think his other violent thoughts come from OCD intrusive thoughts. As a median system I do also relate to the duality he feels. But I also would be careful ever putting a plural reading on Jekyll and Hyde for obvious reasons.

Robert Montague Renfield

Oh Renfield so much to say about you my man. (This is where that TW comes in handy)

Ok so the R.M. of his name standing for "Robert Montague" is ONLY from the new 2023 movie "Renfield". Renfield never had a first name because Bram Stoker was an ableist dick who saw Renfield as less than human for his mental illness. So out of spite of him and love for Renfield I hc his name to be Robert in all versions. This isn't to praise the new movie for its handle on mental illness though. While I absolutely adore the movie and it's camp and message I can't look past the ableism. It constantly demonizes NPD and for the topic of our discussion writes out Robert's mental illness. Robert in the book has psychosis and periods of mania and depression. Honestly I'll have to reread his sections of the book soon and see if I change my opinion because I had a hard time thinking of a label for him. Anyway I think he has Bipolar! But this is why I prefer Penny Dreadful over Renfield 2023 for the character. He gets to be mentally ill and still do a good thing and be just like everyone else in the show (not good or bad, just gray). On the topic of Renfield 2023 again I also think they (Drac and Ren) are ex lovers lmao, I mean it's literally framed like that they just don't have the balls to say it. I now just read every version like this. So yes another Bi king! Wow this ended up mainly being about Renfield whoops.

So yeah as you can see I really like the books and Penny Dreadful. I loved that Penny Dreadful wasn't scared to make its characters ND coded like a certain someone *cough* Renfield 2023 *cough* and be faithful to the OGs!

Anyway I'm not a medical professional lmao, I've just researched a lot of stuff trying to figure out my own problems and it's also smth I take an interest in. The queer stuff I am a professional tho /j.

I have a genuine distaste towards twitter and I saw two older gay men say two things which not only infuriated me but also confirmed what I said regarding some people not being allowed to consume media. One was mad that old fashioned cupcake had a proposal scene and the other was mad about the "husband-wife" dynamic. Idk how many older gay people follow my blog but I am damn sure there are many in the fandom who disagree to these. Many queer people around the world can't marry which is infact true but what we can't have in reality, can't we have it in fiction as well? It's suddenly wrong for queer people wanting to see their fav queer characters getting married? Why is it so hard to understand that having them married in fiction is not misleading rather it's comforting and reassuring. I can understand those who feel sad watching them get married so easily but many love it, many love to watch their comfort characters being happy, many project their emotions on their favourite character, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's misleading and should not be shown. Also about the husband-wife dynamic. I agree with the way some of the older bls executed that but what about now? Why are we having this conversation again? Now these tropes are executed in a way better way. Eclipse and bad buddy both handled it different ways so did love in the air and love mechanics. Also many queer people out there do use those terms with each other. I can show you multiple queer people using these terms, multiple same-sex couples. It's the way saying this is pretty much disregarding those people. And saying "main-stream bls can be misleading" for YOU, this is fiction, and should be treated as such. Trust me multiple Bls out there have subtle or direct references to real life, watch those, why come here. I remember back then, back in 2018 when I first got into BLs multiple people used to shit on it and I did not have a medium then to transition my thoughts to words but now I have one and I am rambling expressing the frustration considering how certain queer people think they are speaking as a representative of the entire community.

A little late after the episode but I do have some (over 1k worth) thoughts on BMF and how they handled the whole sex thing that I need to let out before I even go into the tag.

I'll say this show has been very pleasantly surprising the last few episodes, and I was quite impressed with how they handled and addressed very real queer experiences - if it's Pisaeng's beautiful journey with the gay bar, his mom's "acceptance", and the beautiful beautiful rally with the wonderful speakers discussing queer struggles and more.

That's why I had a tiny bit of hope for an asexual Kawi following his comments about sex (can two people who date never have sex? YEAH!), but I wasn't holding on to it very much because I'm a realistic not delusional leg :') So as much as I LOVE this idea and think it could have been very interesting and important and a great opportunity to explore asexuality and relationships - I will write here under the assumption that Kawi is allo and is meant to be sexually attracted to Pisaeng.

One of my least favorite tropes in bl is "the blushing maiden"- where one character really pushes the other into intimacy and the other is avoiding it. If two characters are in a relationship- let them both be interested in each other!!! (uwma and between us are two of my least favorite bls from those I watched bc of that. Bad Buddy is probably my favorite because they show the mutuality of the relationship very well). Some examples for it being done well are MSP - they're BOTH shy and both do want it, they're just kids. When Tinn asks for kisses Gun is flustered and Tinn does it in a teasing way, and very much respects Gun's wishes. Not to mention, he ends up being even more shy.

I think the most similar to what BMF seems to be trying to show would be The Eclipse. Akk is extremely repressed. He's full of self-loathing and internalized homophobia and every time Aye pushes it's to help him be able to do what he wants without needing to admit it. Credit is definitely due to First's superb acting skills because he's effortlessly able to show the audience how much he's torn inside, how much he's very much into Aye, how he WANTS to touch him and be intimate with him, but he's scared and has a lot holding him back. Of course it's not perfect but it didn't give me the ick as much as uwma did, and not as much as BMF did too.

Which brings me to Kawi and Pisaeng.

Pisaeng made this beautiful journey for self-acceptance and embracing his queerness. We as the audience also know how easily things could have turned different and he would marry Pear without even coming out! So we know how much of a struggle it was, and it's reasonable to think- still is, for him to accept his attraction to men. I think that is part of what makes this dynamic between them so jarring - I want to celebrate Pisaeng's confidence, he's being sweet and romantic and giving his bf positive attention in an unapologetic queer way - but then the way Kawi reacts to it makes me also wants to hate it, to feel like Pisaeng is pressuring him and being predatory, demanding without consent.

But it's not what happens. Because of everything I mentioned about Pisaeng, and because he's charming and cute and has been through all that, I find myself "rooting for him" (why are there sides to be rooting for???) and thinking man Kawi is annoying! Didn't he say he's into Pisaeng?? Why can't he show it too, make him feel loved and wanted like he deserves? But that's a mindset I don't want to fall into.

But what I'm missing to feel more sympathetic towards Kawi is what I found in MSP and in The Eclipse - show me he does want it but he's scared, he's not ready, he's shy, anything! But now what I'm getting from him is that he doesn't actually like Pisaeng at all, and all that changed was their official status.

I was very excited for the chat he had with Max (a little bit because he really did sound like an asexual there and I had hope), because up until now he had very good advice and gave great queer insight.

I loved how he talked about his experiences, and said that yes, sex is an essential part of his relationships but - I was so sure he was gonna say it's different for everyone, that Kawi shouldn't do anything he's not ready for and that he should talk to Pisaeng about it.

Instead, when Kawi said he doesn't find sex to be that important in a relationship (ace Kawi! ace Kawi!!), Max kinda shamed him with "well you're a virgin so you don't know", and basically told him "you're gonna do it eventually so might as well now, you're lucky it's with someone you love". Which is kind of a horrible advice IMO. Another approach they could take is tackle why it is that Kawi is so reluctant, discuss his internalized homophobia that still makes him perceive gay sex as wrong and how he can get over it and embrace this part of himself. But the reasoning for him to do it being "just do it" ugh. No thanks.

Another direction I thought it might take and I would have been happy with is Pisaeng maybe apologizing for pushing and expressing hid sadness that Kawi doesn't want him or isn't into him or something like that, and Kawi would then explain and express how much he DOES want him but he's just not ready. ANYTHING. to make me believe Kawi is into Pisaeng and not just forcing himself because he's told he needs to.

The amusement park analogy was a bit on the nose - if you don't try the rollercoaster it's like you haven't really been here = if we don't have sex our relationship doesn't count. Which, ouch. But yeah "it's ok if you're scared, I'll be with you and hold your hand the whole time".

I was a bit surprised they ended up not going, and then again at the car with the roof, but after further thought I realized it was - Kawi saw Pisaeng respects his wishes and doesn't actually cross his boundaries and so he trusts him enough by the end of the episode. Still, the fact they had sex felt... wrong. After Kawi spent the whole episode being scandalized by anything touch related, his conversation with Max, him being scared shitless to find lube, the theme park and then the dinner - the transition to having sex felt lacking. Them just having sex without any sort of discussion about Kawi's reluctance, talking about how it's actually both of their first times (I assume? at least with a man), how it's ok to take it slow.. Idk, Kawi couldn't bear KISSING Pisaeng up until this point, so now they're having sex? It made it feels like he's forcing himself which is the last thing I want for their relationship. I want to see them both wanting each other :')

There were some great highlights like Kawi staring at Pisaeng in bed or calling his mom but for me it wasn't enough to make me feel like their relationship is built on mutual attraction.

It would probably start with a mutual roommate relationship.

Allison took Lydia home while Derek chased Jackson in his kanima form on foot and Scott, Stiles and Y/n followed in the Jeep. Stiles braked in front of a fence with traffic spikes in front of it. "What do we do now?" Stiles asks just as Scott gets out and scales the fence, running to the action. After fighting with Derek and getting shot by Chris the kanima runs away with Scott following. He trails him to a club called Jungle and Scott peeks around the corner, trying to spot anything. When he turns he jumps at the sight of his friends right behind him. "Sorry, I'm sorry." Stiles quickly apologized for the scare.

"You'd think being a werewolf we wouldn't have snuck up on you." Y/n teased a bit and Scott sighs.

"Did you see where he went?"

"I lost him." Scott says.

"What? You couldn't catch his scent?"

"I don't think he has one."

"Y/n? What about you? Can you like track him somehow? Sense his presence or something?"

She shook her head. "It's weird. It's almost like he doesn't have a presence at all. Like he... Doesn't exist."

Stiles sighs a bit in thought. "All right, any clue where he's going?"

"To kill someone." Scott said.

"Ah. That explains the claws, and the fangs, and all that. Good. Makes perfect sense now." Scott gives him a look. "What? Scott, come on. I'm 147 pounds of pale skin and fragile bone, okay? Sarcasm is my only defense."

"Just help me find it." Scott snapped a bit.

"I mean, I don't think so, but he already passed Derek's test anyway."

"Yeah, but that's just the thing. How did he pass the test?"

"I don't know."

"Maybe it's like an either or thing. I mean, Derek said that a snake can't be poisoned by it's own venom, right?"

"When's the kanima not the kanima?" Y/n caught on to what he was saying.

"When it's Jackson." Scott realized.

Stiles looks around and then up, soon backing up a bit and waving his hands in front of him to catch the others attention. "Uh... Guys." They looked at him and then stood next to him to follow his gaze. "See that?" They see the kanima's tail as he slips into the building.

"He's inside."

"What's he gonna do in there?"

Scott got a whiff of something and looked at the line of people going to the club. "I know who he's after."

"What, how? How? Did you smell something?"

Scott nodded. "Armani." Y/n smelled the aftershave just as she looked at the line, spotting Danny just as he's let inside.

They go around to the back and Stiles tries the door only to find it's locked. "Aw, come on." He moves to the side as he looks for another way. "All right, maybe there's, like, a, uh- like, a window we could climb through," Scott looks at Y/n and she gives him a gesture saying 'go ahead' letting him rip off the handle, "or some kind of..." Scott absently hands the object to Stiles. "Handle that we could rip off with supernatural strength. How'd I not think of that one?" He lets the handle fall as he follows the two inside, closing the door as much as he can behind them.

The three walk into a lively club where a mass of bodies dance to loud music under strobe lights and colored lasers. Y/n looks around and raises her brows in surprise that, not only is there a whole bunch of men, some of them are doing impressive things like aerial silks. Scott looks around as he comes to a grand realization. "Dude, everyone in here's a dude. I think we're in a gay club." He turns his head to see Stiles practically surrounded by drag queens, a couple of them gently stroking his hair or arm.

"Man, nothing gets past those keen werewolf sense, huh, Scott?"

Y/n laughs at his predicament, taking his hand and pulling him away. "Sorry, ladies, but this one's taken." She blew a kiss to the group before she, Stiles, and Scott make their way to the bar.

"Three beers." Stiles orders as soon as they get there.

"Actually I'll be fine with a water, please." Y/n corrects.

The bartender nods at her and sets a water in front of her. "I.D.'s." He asks the boys. They pull out their wallets and hand the items over. The bartender looks at them and then the boys before chuckling. "How 'bout two Cokes?"

"Rum and Coke? Sure!" Stiles smiles and bobs his head to the music a bit, but relents when the bartender just looks at him. "Coke's fine, actually. I'm driving anyway."

Another bartender sets the two Cokes in front of them. "That one's paid for." He said to Scott with a look and a nod to across the bar where they see a guy raise his beer in greeting.

Scott looks at Stiles with a shit-eating grin. "Oh, shut up."

"I didn't say anything." He denies.

"Yeah, well, your face did." He angrily takes a sip of his drink.

"Aw, are you jealous?" Y/n teases. She then props her elbow on the bartop and gently rests her chin on her hand, giving Stiles a sultry look. He glances at her and does a double take, the straw falling from his lips. "Do you want me to buy you a drink, handsome?" She lightly trailed a hand up his arm. He nearly spilt his drink when his hand suddenly let go, but he quickly righted himself and played it off. She smirked when she heard the slight racing of his heart and gave him a wink before they all turned to survey the crowd.

"Hey, I found Danny." Stiles said after a minute.

"I found Jackson." Scott was looking up and found the kanima crawling through the rigging on the ceiling. Jackson was dangling right above Danny. "Get Danny."

"What're you gonna do?" Stiles asks. Scott extends his claws in answer. "Works for me." The three merge with the crowd. Y/n tried to stay near Stiles as they looked for Danny, but there were too many people moving and dancing and they got separated.

"Shit." She cursed under her breath. She'll find him but right now she needs to find Danny. She looked around as she moved past the dancing bodies. "Danny!" She called. "Danny!" She pushed by more people. "Dan-" A hand grabbing her arm silences her and she follows the arm to see a boy. Brown hair, familiar blue eyes. The fog machine turns on making the visibility even lower. "Who are you?" It comes out quieter than she meant it to be, yet he seems to hear her over the cacophony of the club as he smiles. He tugged her forward so that she was inches from his face and she looked at him with wide eyes. His form began to flicker, like two images switching back and forth. Between the boy and Peter Hale.

"It's almost time, little witch." He said.

She gasped and jerked away from him, ripping her arm from his grasp as she stumbled back. She yelped in surprise when she bumped into someone, whipping around to find Danny. "Y/n? What are you doing here?"

She pushed away the shock from her encounter a moment before, forcing herself to focus on the present danger. "Danny, we need to get out of here, now!"

"What? What are you talking about?" He asks, confused. The kanima is now walking through the crowd, using the fog to keep cover. He swipes at people as he goes forward, paralyzing people left and right. People scream and start running around, trying to get away. Y/n hears the whistle through the air behind her and she turns around, yet the kanima is already gone. She turns back and Danny is on the ground paralyzed.

"Jackson!" Scott calls. Derek appears, wolfed out and ready. The kanima screeches. "No, don't!" Derek ignores him as he digs his claws into the kanima's body, he screeches in pain. The crowd realizes that people are on the ground and back up as some check on them.

"Y/n!" Stiles calls and she turns to find him just behind her. "Your neck. It's just like when Derek was cut at the pool."

She furrows her brows and reaches up to the back of her neck, feeling the sleek cut there. "But I feel fine. I'm not paralyzed."

He shakes his head. "We'll figure it out later. We need to find Scott." She nods and follows him out of the club where he saw Scott leave. They run out and follow a trail of blood to Scott kneeling over a bloody Jackson who has shifted back to his normal form and is stark naked.

"What do we do with him now?" Scott asks. The answer to that is to carry him back to the Jeep and lay him in the back, throwing a blanket over his lower body. Scott went to check on Danny as he's wheeled out on a gurney by EMT's. When they start getting in the car Y/n tries getting in the back only for Stiles to stop her.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you doing?"

"Getting in the back?" She responded unsure.

"No. You're not getting in the back with Jackson who tried to paralyze you! And is naked, by the way."

Y/n rolled her eyes while Scott gave her a confused look. "You got cut?"

"I guess so." She turned so Scott could see the cut. "But as you can see, I'm fine. I guess being a witch means not only does an Alpha's bite not affect me, but I'm immune to kanima venom."

"Besides the point." Stiles cut in. "Y/n is not sitting back there with him."

"Oh, my God. Fine. Scott, get in the back." Scott sighed, but did as asked. Y/n climbed into the passenger seat after him.

"I couldn't get anything out of Danny." Scott then informs.

"Okay, can we just get the hell outta here now, before one of my dad's Deputies sees me?" They nod in agreement and Stiles turns on the Jeep ready to drive, but Noah pulls up in front of them in his cruiser a moment later. "Oh, my God. Oh, my God! Could this get any worse?" Jackson groans then. "That was rhetorical!" Stiles yells back at him.

"Get rid of him." Scott says.

"Get rid of him? We're at a crime scene, and he's the Sheriff."

"Do something."

Stiles groans and flails his arms in frustration before climbing out to meet his dad half way. "Hey." He greets.

Jackson stirs and groggily starts to sit up. "What's- what's going on?" He mumbles.

"Jackson, Jackson, be quiet." Scott coaxes him back down.

"What're you doing here?" Noah asks his son.

"What do you mean what am I doing here? What? It's a club. It's a club, we were clubbing, you know? At the club."

"Stop saying club." Y/n says to herself as she listens to Stiles ramble.

Noah looks back at the building. "Not exactly your type of club."

"Uh... Well, dad... There's a conversation that we-"

"You're not gay." Noah quickly shuts that down.

"Wha- I could be!" Stiles says mildly offended.

"Not dressed like that."

"Well, what's-" He glances down at his clothes.

"And not with the way you dote over Y/n."

His head shoots up then. "Wha- I don't. I don't dote on- on her." He denies, Y/n and Scott smirk at each other when they hear the uptick signaling Stiles' lie. Noah goes to move towards the Jeep but Stiles stops him. "Uh..."

Jackson moans sleepily as he picks up his head again. "Jackson, be quiet." Scott pleads. Jackson sighs and lays his head down.

"This is the second crime scene that you just happened to have shown up on. And at this point, I've been fed so many lies, I'm not sure I know the kid standing in front of me. Now, what the hell is going on?" Noah demands of his son.

"What's happening?" Jackson starts to sit up again.

Y/n huffs a frustrated breath before turning to face him. "Jackson." Her firm voice makes him look in her eyes which glow. "Sleep." Her eyes flash, the color reflecting in his eyes and he falls back again unconscious. She turns back front just as the Stilinski's look over. Her and Scott smile and wave at them.

"Dad, I- I-" Stiles starts to try to explain.

"The truth, Stiles." Noah looks at him firmly.

He sighs. "The truth, all right. Well, the truth is that we were here with Danny. Yeah, 'cause he just broke up with his boyfriend, so, you know, we were just trying to take him out and get his mind off things. That's- that's it."

Noah is silent for a moment and then nods as his expression visibly softens. "Well, that's really good of you guys." Stiles smiles a little. "You're good friends." Stiles smiles more and gives him a pat on the arm before going back to the Jeep and driving away from there.

They speed down the road trying to figure out where to keep Jackson. "Uh, what about your house?" Stiles says to Scott.

"Not with my mom there. We need to take him somewhere where we can hold him long enough to figure out what to do with him. Or long enough to convince him he's dangerous."

"I still say we just kill him."

"We're not killing him." Y/n and Scott chorus.

"God! Okay, okay. I got an idea."

"Is this idea illegal?" She asks.

"By now, don't you think that's a given?"

"Stiles." She groans.

"Well, we don't have anything better right now." She sits back with a huff knowing he's right.

It's daylight when Jackson stirs awake and lifts his head only to hit it on something metal, the suddeness of it enough to fully wake him. He quickly glances around and finds he's in a metal compartment and he's cuffed by the wrists and ankles to the floor. He huffs angrily. "STILES! MCCALL! Y/N!" The three look at the police prison transport vehicle that Stiles commandeered and they parked in the middle of the woods as Jackson yells from inside. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU!"

While Stiles stayed with Jackson, trying to convince him he's the dangerous kanima, Y/n and Scott go to school to keep up appearances. Scott, Y/n, and Allison had a class together and Allison tried to take the chance to tell him that her grandfather was asking a bunch of questions and about the new cameras being put up, but a new teacher coming in made her shut her mouth.

"I'm afraid your teacher was feeling ill today, and had to leave early." Victoria Argent said as she made her way to the desk. "So, unfortunately, you're stuck with me as a substitute." She glanced at her daughter before turning to the rest of the class. "Can anyone catch me up to speed on where we are?" She turned to Scott. "Mr. McCall, how 'bout you?" Scott cleared his throat as he pulled out the proper books. For the rest of the class Y/n stayed silent and reserved, something that's become second nature when dealing with strangers and dangers.

After school Allison went with Y/n to Stiles while Scott went to check on Danny and try to figure out why Janima tried to kill him. Stiles was leaning against the transport truck using Jackson's phone pretending to be him to eliminate suspicion. Rustling made him look up and to the right, trying to figure out what the sound was. When he looked left he jumped back with an "oh, my God" at seeing the two girls.

"They know." Allison blurted.

"What?" He asked.

"They know Jackson's missing."

"No, they can't. I've been texting his parents since last night. They don't have a clue."

"My grandfather told me his parents went to the police. They know."

Y/n looked pointedly at the phone and Stiles held it up by two fingers as if it suddenly became volatile. He handed the phone to Allison and ran to the door where he practically dove in to turn on the police radio.

"All available units proceed to Beacon Hills Preserve as instructed. Proceed with caution until Sheriff Stilinski's arrival." He looked at the girls with wide eyes. "Repeat: proceed with caution."

The three climbed into the front seat. "Where are we going?" Y/n asked.

"Somewhere very far from this." He dialed a number on the phone and tossed it out the window before speeding off. Not long after Scott came back with his findings.

"If Jackson doesn't remember being the kanima, he's definitely not gonna remember stealing Danny's tablet." He said as the four walked a distance from the truck.

"Why would he steal the thing if he doesn't even know what's on it?" Stiles asked.

"What if someone else took it?" Allison offered.

"Then somebody else knows what he is."

"Which could mean someone's protecting him." Scott said.

"Like the bestiary says, 'the kanima seeks a friend,' right?" Allison asks.

"Okay, hold on. So, somebody watches Jackson make a video of himself turning into the kanima, and then just erases part of it so he wouldn't know? I mean, who would do that?" Stiles wondered.

"Somebody who wanted to protect him?" Y/n guessed.

"There's something else. You said the only thing you found online about the kanima is that it goes after murderers. What if that's actually true?" Scott asked Stiles.

"Well, no, it can't be. Tried to kill all of us, remember? I don't know about you three, but I haven't murderered anybody lately."

"Well, I- I don't think that it was actually trying to kill us. Remember when we were at Isaac's the first time, it just went right by us, didn't it?" Scott asked Allison and she nodded.

"You're right, it just ran off."

"And it didn't kill you in the mechanic's garage." He turned to Stiles.

"Well, yeah, but it tried to kill me and Derek in the pool."

"Did it?"

"It would've. It was waiting for us to come out. Y/n had to do her magic thing to keep it back."

"What if it was trying to keep you in?"

"Why do I feel so violated all of a sudden?"

"Because there's something else going on. We don't know what it is. We don't know anything about what's going on with Jackson, or why someone's protecting him."

"'Know thy enemy'." The three looked at Allison. "Just something my grandfather said." She brushed off.

"All right, I got it. Kill Jackson. Problem solved." Stiles said.

"We're not killing him, all right?" Y/n said firmly.

"He risked his life for us. Against Peter, you remember that?" Scott reminded Stiles.

"Yes, but what did we just find out? He got the Bite from Derek. It's funny how he just got exactly what he wanted by supposedly risking his life for us, it's funny."

"It doesn't mean he isn't worth saving." Y/n sighed. "I'm not gonna be the first to sing any praises about the guy, but Lydia sees something in him, and if she thinks he's got at least a sliver of humanity in him, I'm gonna help."

"It's always something with him, though."

"He doesn't even know what he's doing."

"So what?"

"So, I didn't either." Scott defended. "You remember when I almost killed you and Jackson?" He directed to Allison. "I had someone to stop me. He has nobody."

"That's his own fault."

"Doesn't matter. If we can save him, we should try."

…

When night fell Allison got her car so she and Scott could sit together as they watched Jackson while Y/n and Stiles went back to her house to try and possibly find something she missed in her grimoire. Y/n groans and flops back on her bed, letting her grimoire fall onto the mattress. "There's literally nothing that makes sense or gives clear answers." She complained. "When I write my pages, I'm gonna make them comprehensible with no secret meanings whatsoever so that my decendants are not as confused as my ancestors have made me."

"Your pages?" Stiles asks curiously from beside her.

"Yes, my pages. The ones I'll write when I learn something new that isn't already in my grimoire."

"Is that what's in it? Pages written by your ancestors you said?"

She sat up with a nod. "Everything they knew they put in here." She held the grimoire up in show.

"I remember you said you made this?"

"So full of questions, aren't we?" She teased with a half smile before nodding again. "I did. It's a sort of coming of age ritual for my kind. When a witch turns 13 she makes her own grimoire and fills it with the knowledge of her mother's or an older witch's own grimoire, adding to it if they ever find something new. It's a very personal item. Each one is made exactly the way the witch wants, from the embellishments on the outside to how many pages in a signature are on the inside." As she explained this she had a soft smile on her face, lightly tracing the shapes on the cover of her grimoire. "We're so connected with our grimoire that when we die, after its contents have been passed on, it's burned with us as like a final goodbye, a final release from the physical plane."

She looked up at him to find him already looking at her with eyes filled with wonder and curiosity. "You keep saying 'she'. Are witches only women? Are there no male witches?"

She shook her head. "No, there are no male witches. It's all female. If a witch has a son and daughter, only the daughter will inherit the gifts. A witch's son has never inherited the gifts nor has the children of a witch's son. For example, if, say, me and you had a daughter, she'd be like me, a witch. And if we had a son, he'd be like you, human." Stiles seemed flustered at the idea while Y/n smiled warmly. She looked back down at her grimoire then, her smile fading as she sighed a bit. "How nice it must be to be human." Her tone was quiet and wistful.

"What do you mean?"

"If I was human I wouldn't have to worry about hiding my magic. I wouldn't have to keep a mental map of all the new cameras in school. I wouldn't have to look over my shoulder for a Hunter discovering me. I could just be a normal teenager with normal problems like how much I'll have to study for midterms or what should I wear to impress my boyfriend." She shook her head with a small huff of laughter.

"Y/n. I wouldn't change a thing about you. Even the magic part." She looked up at him in mild surprise. "What you can do is incredible. I'm literally blown away every time I see you do something. It's just another reason to love you. And... And I do. Love you, I mean."

"You love me?"

He nodded. "And you don't have to say it back, I know it's a big thing and-" Already sensing needless rambling she cut him off.

"Stiles."

"Yes?"

"Shut up." She leaned forward then and kissed him. He instantly reciprocated. Every kiss they shared was like the first, it was electrifying and sent sparks through her whole body. Something in the air shifted when he brought his hand up to the back of her head to pull her closer, letting the other trail to her waist. His fingers traced mindless patterns on the bit of skin that was exposed from where her shirt raised slightly. It left her breathless and nearly dizzy with desire. She pulled away for a moment and rested her forehead on his. "I love you." She breathed.

His smile was brighter than the sun before he went in to kiss her again. These kisses were more heated and almost desperate to show how much those three words meant to the other, and they did. Giving everything one could in intimate moments such as these. Moments where every kiss, every touch, every sigh and moan said 'I love you'. Moments where the lights have faded to silvery darkness, but there's no need to see with their eyes. Not when they know this person like the back of their hand, where they know every curve and angle. Not when they're committing every touch to memory. The new feelings and new places they're exploring of each other, with each other. Even when the fire of desire dwindled to embers of satisfaction, and they were snuggled together and dozing under the sheets, these moments also held whispers of those eight letters.

It was dark outside, late at night, when Y/n stirred in her sleep. She suddenly sat up with a gasp, her hand clutching the sheets to her chest. Stiles woke up at the sudden movement and when he saw her distressed state he sat up as well. "Y/n? Are you okay?"

She shook her head. "Something's wrong." She quickly started to get dressed, tossing his clothes to him as she went.

"What is it?" He also started to dress.

"I don't know, just something's happened." She couldn't explain it but she could feel it in her gut, and she's learned to listen to it. He didn't ask questions as he dressed as well, he trusted what she said. They got in the Jeep and she directed them to the Preserve where they found an empty police transport vehicle. Jackson had gotten out.

They went over to Allison's car where she and Scott were asleep in the back. Stiles knocked on the window startling them awake. "You guys might wanna come take a look at this." He said. After a moment the couple got out and the four went to the truck.

"I have to tell my father." Allison said. Scott walked a bit away, thinking. "Scott. He's going to kill someone."

"Okay, tell him." Scott agreed. "Tell him everything."

"Scott, I gotta tell mine too." Stiles said.

"This is all my fault."

"It's not." Allison shook her head. "But we have to tell them. We're just a bunch of teenagers. We can't handle this."

"You're right."

"How are you gonna make your dad believe all this?" She asked Stiles.

"I don't know."

Scott turned to look at them, his eyes glowing yellow. "He'll believe me."

Y/n sighed. She figured the parents would have to be clued in at some point, she just hoped it didn't have to involve her. Deep down she knew it would. "And me too."

"Are you sure?" Stiles looked at her in concern.

She nodded. "It's hard to dispute two supernaturals." Her own eyes flashed purple to prove her point. To protect those I care about, I'm willing to do anything.

Allison went home while Scott, Y/n and Stiles went to the Sheriff's station to talk to Noah. "Could you buzz us in? I gotta see my dad." Stiles asked the officer at the front desk. The man did as asked and Stiles opened the door. He hesitated going in.

Y/n took his hand and he looked at her. "It's gonna be okay." She reassured him. He gave her a nod before turning and walking towards the office. They all paused, however, when they saw Jackson on the couch in Noah's office, Mr. Whittemore standing near him. Jackson smiled at them when he saw them.

"Scott, Stiles, Y/n." Noah stepped into view. "Perfect timing. Have you met Jackson's father, Mr. David Whittemore? Esquire."

"That means lawyer." Jackson spoke up. The three glanced at each other.

Lewis Hamilton

Sexuality Headcanon: this man is so so comfortable and confident in his sexuality. and it is: whatever i feel like. i'm certain lewis can get equal attention from men and women so if he really has never slept with a man before he should give it a shot. his opportunities are literally endless (just look at, y'know, how george looks at lewis on an average workday).

in regards to actual kinks/sexual preferences: i feel like lewis is the sort of laid back guy when it comes to kinks that he hasn't actively gone out and figured out what he's into. he will, however, always make sure the other comes first (polite gentleman, after all).

A BROTP I have with said character: seb/charles. i think they've got this cute sorta father/son dynamic but with just this bit of a sexual layer. charles would suck off seb if seb asked nicely, i'm sure

A NOTP I have with said character: lestappen. in the sense that: i can see it through the lens of diehard shippers but when i look at the contact they genuinely have... yeah, they're friendly w each other. i don't see the spice, personally.

A random headcanon: he'd make (/order) you breakfast from your favoite place after staying over.

General Opinion over said character: il predistino deserves more opportunities but i also think he's still got a lot to learn. if nothing progresses around you, however, it's not really easy to learn new stuff. i don't know if i feel pity or sympathy but either way i think he deserves better than what ferrari has given him the past years. but also, he's not really made the most of every opportunity so (shrugs) i don't know. i like charles.

Sexuality Headcanon: i have genuinely never thought of esteban and having sex if i'm honest. not in the sense of 'he doesn't have sex' but more, me rn going oh yeah. sure, huh. how would he have sex? i have no clue. he's tall and lanky so i'd def love to see that all tied up and submissive. but i don't think about it too hard bc i don't find him attractive so it's hard for me to picture it!

Gender Headcanon: same as carlos tbf

A ship I have with said character: ... none, if i'm honest? i can see the appeal of some sort of enemies-to-lovers pierre/esteban.

A random headcanon: i think it'd be quite easy to get him to beg

General Opinion over said character: yeah as i said. decent guy, probably. i don't give much thought to esteban. i don't want to be mean but i think he's had quite some time in f1 and hasn't shown any unique talent that gets him his position among the top 20 in the world. i'd like to see someone else take his seat, a nice rookie, someone fresh. but about him as a person? no clue.
