#my life #my cats #she's more energetic than she's been in at least a full year #like I would have gladly taken 'improved since the hospital to pre hospital levels and better bloodwork'#but she's excitedly hanging out looking out windows #and runs up and down the stairs again #and she's been jumping up onto the table a BUNCH from the floor even #she'd been using the drawers to jump over when she did go up which was way more rare #she does a little dance when she trots around sometimes #like I can't believe I didn't notice she wasn't doing all this before #I just thought she was a bit sleepier in the winter time #and/or adjusting to the move less than ideally #but no we didn't just Save Her Life and are helping Prolong It A Lot with meds #it's clearly Improved The Quality So Much #and I'm so glad we were able to do that for her at least

there are no guides on the internet for "how to reduce irritating sensations from an organ that actually got medically incinerated quite a while ago and is, in fact, no longer residing in your body". and I think this is evil.

Kyle “Gaz” Garrick

Kyle had gotten off work a bit early, the mission going faster than expected but just as tiring. The only thing on his mind was seeing you, he needed to feel your soft body against his.

He called you from his car, figuring it was early enough and you'd still be awake. He was correct, but when you answered the phone you didn't sound like your usual self. Your words are slow and a little slurred. “Baby, ya okay?” he asks.

You hum a response. “M’okay, just been drinking a little.” you tell him.

“Sounds like it, you alone at home love?” he asks, a little nervous. It wasn't like you to get drunk by yourself, or really that often at all actually.

“Yeah… but could you come over, please.” your voice was a little shaky and it twisted something in Kyle's gut.

“Of course lovie. Be there in just a bit, eh?” he tells you. His drive was faster than normal, you sounded off and it worried him. His only thought was to get to you and the elevator ride up to your flat seemed endless.

When you entered he saw you sitting on the couch, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, glass of red wine and an almost empty bottle next to it.

Your head turned when you heard his steps and the sound of his shoes being kicked off. “Kyle.” you say quietly. Standing you shed the blanket and take a few shaky steps towards him.

He rushed to meet you, wrapping his arms around your waist and holding you against himself. Your own arms wrap around his middle, gripping the back of his shirt. “What's wrong love, why ya crying?” he asks, voice tender and soft. His warm eyes looking over your tear stained cheeks before wiping a tear away.

You give him a small shrug. “I'm just so tired, and work was stressful. I just wanted to relax a little and I knew you are normally at the base late...” you admit.

Kyle hums softly before kissing the top of your head. “Well, drinking is no way to feel better, right lovie?” he asks, making sure you look at him by guiding your face to look at his. “Next time, just let me know, be over as soon as i can.” he tells you.

You give him a small smile. “I will, I'm sorry I know I was overreacting.”

“None of that love, let's just get ya to bed.” he says with a sweet smile. You lean into his touch and nod.

He figured after such a stressful day you should take a hot bath. Topped with some essential oils he found it was ready. You both relax in the warm water. Kyle behind you so you can rest your head on his chest.

“Thank you kyle.” you mumble. Eyes closed and soldering his arms around you, you sigh constantly. “I love you.” you add, a little slower and sleepier.

Kyle smiles down at you. Perfectly content in his arms, just as he wanted. Here to keep you safe and happy. “Anything for your lovie, I love ya too.” he says. Just above a whisper, the last coherent words you heard before drifting off.

When you had dozed off Kyle gathered your body in his arms and brought you to bed then wrapped you in a fluffy towel. The whole time you barely even stirred in your sleep. He crawled in next to you and wrapped you in his arms once again, this time pulling your head to his chest, arm holding you back so your firm against him.

He kisses your nose. “Goodnight love.” he says. That night you both slept soundly. Kyle happily content with your bare body against his own.

Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley

Simon had called after getting back from a long mission, wanting to see you instead of going home alone. All he needed at the moment was your arms wrapped around him.

To his delight you had picked up, even in the late hour. To his disappointment however, it sounded like you were out with friends.

That didn't seem to mean much to you. Judging by your excited time when you answered. “Si? You home already?” you ask, smile evident in your tone.

He smiles to himself. “Yeah, sound busy though doll, see ya tomorrow?” he offers.

You make a sound of displeasure. “But I gotta see you tonight Si, please? I'll get an uber right now!” Simon just chuckles and tells you to stay put, he will come and get you.

Not even twenty minutes later and you're in his passenger seat with his hand on your bare thigh and a drunkenly sweet smile plastered across your face. You loved admiring Simon, even with most of his face concealed. Everything about him made you drawn to him.

“See something ya like love?” Simon chuckles and glances over to you. His hand on your thigh squeezes the soft skin.

You nod and giggle. “Always see something I like around you, Si.”

He snorts before paying attention to the road, eyes focus on getting home. You babbled about your night with your friends and he nodded along, humming in response when he needed to agree with you, all the while his hand rests on your warm plush thigh and a small smile plays at his lips.

You were adorable. The way you stared at him the whole time like he was the moon, the way your hands laid atop his and gripped it when you talked.

He loved the attention. From you, and only you that is. Loved that you just wanted to see him, needed too.

When you got back to his place, he carried you in. insisting that the stairs were too much for you and it would be faster. “S’alright love, just let me bring you up. Be much faster.” he explained.

The whole way you kissed at his neck, making sure to lift his mask enough so you could pepper them to his jawline. “Lovie, none of tha. S’to late and you.” he glanced down at you and your blushing cheeks, warm from the alcohol. “Are much too hammered.” he chuckles, stepping into his flat before closing and locking the door.

“But Si… I missed you so much, you were gone for a whole week.” you pout softly up at him after he set you down on his bed.

One of his hands comes out to cradle the side of your head, making you look up at him and hold his gaze. “Don't worry lovie, when your pretty little head is pounding tomorrow, I'll make sure to do everything I can to help you forget about it.” he promises.

I shiver rolls down your back and you smile dumbly up at him, the thought of what to come already turning the little gears in your head. Simon however forces you to push the thoughts aside and get ready for bed instead.

With you in only his shirt, his mask set aside and his protective arm wrapped securely around your middle, you start to drift off. “Love you Simon, can't wait for tomorrow.”

Simon kisses the side of your head. “Love you too doll, can't wait.”

“Yeah, I’ve got—wait, baby, no—”

You burst into a fit of giggles as you felt Oscar’s arms wind around your waist, pulling you back into his chest before you could get far. You leaned back into his embrace, tilting your head back until you were practically looking up at him upside down—a sight that only made you giggle even more.

Your friend raised her brows, looking at Oscar with a doubtful look. “Are you absolutely sure?”

He gave her a tight-lipped smile as he held you up, but something in his chest eased a little at how concerned your friend was. It was reassuring, in some odd way. It was nice to know you had a good support group when he was half-way across the globe, wishing he was beside you.

“I can handle her,” he said, almost sounding amused when you let out a scoff.

“I don’t need help! I am so fine on my own,” you commented, attempting to step away from him to prove a point but the stumble in your legs had him clinging onto you. “I could, like, totally fight a kangaroo right now.”

Oscar pressed his lips together to bite back his smile. “A kangaroo?”

“Yeah,” you nodded confidently before gasping, looking at your boyfriend with wide eyes. “Oh my god, you’re basically a kangaroo.”

“Jesus, you drank a lot,” Oscar murmured as he waved your friend goodbye, watching her head back inside to the bar he had just driven to to pick you up before he began guiding you towards his car.

“I could fight you!” You said, sounding far too happy about the prospect of it. “I have a mean right hooker!”

“Hook,” he corrected with a fond smile. “Do you even know what that means?”

“Of course not,” you said before bursting into another fit of giggles, practically sinking back into his embrace and giving him your full body weight.

To his credit, Oscar hardly even faltered. Instead, his arms remained locked around you as he practically carried you towards the passenger seat of his car. He continued to let you ramble away, knowing that at some point you would tire yourself out and the sleepier side of your drunk self would come out.

“Do I annoy you?”

Oscar’s head snapped around to you so quickly, it was almost comical. Luckily, the car had been parked at a red light, but that didn’t stop the uncomfortable twist in his stomach when the question passed your lips.

“What?” He frowned as he watched you lazily blink at him, almost as though you were waiting for him to say yes. “Baby, I—” He paused, shaking his head. “No, of course not.”

“Okay,” you said, giving him a small smile. “I don’t think you’re annoying either.”

But the light-hearted teasing didn’t shift his attention away from the heavy question. “Why would you ever think you annoyed me?”

“I don’t know,” you shrugged, unable to fight the yawn leaving your lips as you leaned further back in your seat once the lights went green and Oscar began driving again. “Just heard some people mentioning something.”

Oscar frowned. “Who?”

But you just shrugged again.

And maybe somewhere in your drunk and fuzzy brain, you knew not only would it be embarrassing to say out loud, but also that Oscar would be upset by it. He didn’t get angry, not when it came to himself. He was fairly laid-back, he let things mostly wash over him before moving on with his life.

But when it came to the people he loved? When it came to you? It was a whole different story.

You knew that it would upset him that somebody upset you, that their words affected you enough to play on your insecurities and doubts. It would upset him to hear someone bashing you in such a cowardly way, mocking the way you acted and how loud your personality was. It would upset him to hear the way they thought you were too much for him, not good enough for him.

People like you weren’t right for people like Oscar.

“Baby,” he said in a soft voice after you had fallen quiet. He watched as you blinked, glancing around and seeming to realise you were now parked outside his place. “Look at me.”

You turned your head, your eyes meeting his and something eased in your chest.

He reached towards you, his hand engulfing your cheek as you leaned into his touch. He watched you for a moment before leaning over the console, pressing a soft and chaste kiss on your lips before he spoke. “I don’t know what happened but you could never annoy me.”

You blinked, your hand reaching out to hold his wrist like you were scared he would pull away. “Promise?”

“Promise,” he said with a nod before smiling at you, that full lip smile that made your heart stutter a little. “C’mon now, need to get my pretty girl ready for bed.”

You snorted, rolling your eyes even if the idea of your boyfriend doting over you warmed your heart. “M’tired,” you grumbled as you watched Oscar reach for the door. “Let’s just go to bed.”

“Nuh uh, gotta take your makeup off, baby,” he said with a shake of his head, smiling a little when you let out a whine. “I promise I’ll do all the work.”

Your smile brightened. “Have I mentioned that I love you?”

“Yeah, once or twice,” he grinned back at you. “I love you too.”

“Of course you do.”

Oscar sighed. “Had to ruin the moment, didn’t you?”

“Just pointing out the facts, my kangaroo boy.”

His nose scrunched up. “Please do not let that become a thing.”

You could only laugh in response.

happy friday! here are some fun lazy day headcanons to enjoy as we head into the weekend!

ft. luffy, zoro, sanji, and law + tons of fluff!

luffy

despite the ship being calm, luffy has trouble staying still! be prepared to get roped into some type of silly shenanigans around the ship. whether it's a prank on nami (that gets you both bonked on the head), a silly game with chopper and usopp, or a secret third thing (him slingshotting you up into the air and then catching you until you both get bored), it's guaranteed to be fun!

when luffy gets bored, he gets hungry, and will likely pester sanji for some snacks; the cook will be eternally grateful if you step in and make him something easy and quick for you and luffy to share together! though he loves sanji's cooking, he will tell you it tastes extra good just because you made it, even if it is something simple!

in the evenings, he'll scoop you up and bring you up to sit with him on the head of the sunny! it's his favorite seat, but he's more than willing to share it with you as long as you can put up with him smothering you with cuddles!

zoro

a lazy day for zoro is still quite regimented, and simply means he has more hours of the day available to train; however, he enjoys spending time simply existing in the same space as you. he has trouble outwardly expressing it, but he is over the moon when you either join in and exercise alongside him, or work on your hobbies in the same space as him.

quiet days at sea are also good for meditation, and it's much easier for him to focus if you're by his side. the gentle rock of the ship paired with your calming presence allows him to let go of his frustrations and keeps his mind sharp.

if he's injured or simply too sore to function at his usual level, he gets sleepier than usual, though he refuses to take a nap unless you're in his arms; he wants the extra warmth and comfort you provide him, but is too shy to blatantly ask for it (and is glad you're intuitive enough to know what he needs without him having to say it).

sanji

usually there is no rest for sanji on calm days at sea; in fact, he often is worked into overdrive since everyone is in the mood to snack! however, there are rare occasions that he has prepped easy meals for the whole day, and can curl up in bed with you. he can't help doing a little bit of work and makes you a full spread to wake up to though, on the condition that you stay and cuddle with him for a while longer after you've finished eating.

he clings onto you desperately, almost as if you'll disappear into thin air if you let go; sanji gets easily touch starved, and needs both physical and verbal reassurance that you love him, especially when he has nothing productive to do to keep his mind busy.

he's putty in your hands if you sit in his lap on the deck while he idly smokes a cigarette, running his free hand through your hair and being careful as to not let his smoke hit you as he exhales.

law

law runs himself ragged at times, and needs a day to recharge every so often; he lets the rest of the crew know ahead of time, and they plan accordingly. it's rare that law gets so affectionate, but on days like these he hangs on you like he's your shadow, and gets oh so soft.

he loves to sleep in with you; it's a rare luxury, but one he appreciates. not having to leave you in the morning and being able to wake up with you is special to him, and he makes sure you know he cherishes these moments, in his own cryptic, quiet way.

the way he nearly purrs with contentment as you help him unwind almost feels like a different law than the one you're so accustomed to, but that makes it all the more special to see him like this. things weren't always this way, and it took over years of showing him gentle care, even in his most irritating and aggravating moods to get him to show you this side of him; it's difficult for him to be vulnerable, to share a life with someone, but with you, he's willing to try.

Mingyu, despite how serious and hot he could look on-stage, was a completely different person with you. If a golden retriever could have ever turned into a human, Kim Mingyu was certainly the perfect representation of one. He was always smiling and giggling, and he never seemed to be truly aware of how big and strong he was— surprising not just you, but him as well.

But even though the size difference between you two was blaringly evident; your boyfriend still loved lying on top of you. Lying with his head on your chest so he could hear your heart beating steadily was his favourite. It was soothing to him. He was a positive person overall, but he had his own struggles and hardships, as everyone did. Listening to your heartbeat and feeling your soft breath as he fell asleep was one of the best ways he could reset.

But tonight, it seemed as if it wasn’t enough.

“Something bothering you? You keep shifting.” You asked in a mumble, glancing down at the man who kept twisting and turning, sometimes lying with his head on you, sometimes opting for a pillow instead. It was rather unlike him— usually he was able to fall asleep almost immediately.

“It’s just not comfortable.” He pouted in response and rolled over to face you again.

“Come here. I have an idea.” You whispered, opening your arms for your boyfriend to come cuddle closer. He settled his head back on your chest, right over your heart, and stared up at you.

“Close your eyes, Gyu. You won’t be able to fall asleep while staring at me.” You smiled, endeared at the fact that he seemed to always want to admire you; but also ever aware of the early shooting schedule for the next morning. He should have been asleep an hour ago if he was aiming for 6 full hours. He followed your instructions, letting out a huff and wrapping his left arm around your waist. You lifted your left hand so it rested gently on top of his head and slowly started to play with his dark locks.

“What are you- oh. It feels nice.” His voice softened, and you could feel him relax a bit more in your arms.

You should’ve realized sooner that your boyfriend would like pets, just like dogs do. You continued raking your fingers through his hair, making sure to be as gentle as possible and not pull on any tangled strands. You were about to ask if he was feeling sleepier when you heard his soft snores and had to hold back a laugh.

Your boyfriend was definitely a golden retriever.

Crush!Reader sleepily telling him, they want to marry him / part one

Characters: Kalim, Jamil, Ruggie

Warnings: None that i can think off

Kalim

-Chances are, you were at one of his party’s, stayed late, and are too tired to go back to ramshackle

-so, Kalim being Kalim, annoys convinces Jamil to let you two have a sleepover. The absolute energy boost Kalim gets after getting permission already makes Jamil regret his decision..

-after a long night of story telling (with how many siblings Kalim has, he definitely always has tea to spill), pillow fights, and movie marathons, you finally decide to go to sleep, much to Jamils relief

-Just before you two fall asleep though, you unconsciously make one last comment “Life is always so fun with you, really makes me wanna marry you one day..”

-If you thought you’d get any sleep after a comment like that, you’re wrong! Because Kalim is now wide awake and practically yelling in excitement

-He’d be asking you if you really meant it, before talking about how you’ll have to meet his family first, especially all his siblings! They’ll love you!! Why don’t you come with him over the next Holidays?! All while being all over you, kind of like an exited puppy are those ears and a tail??, meanwhile you’re just sitting there like ‘oh shit, I said that out loud?!’

-It’ll only get worse if you confirm that, yes, you do, in fact, want to be with him and maybe, hopefully, marry him one day

-Jamil storms in, thinking you two were getting assassinated or something, only to see Kalim hugging you, practically shaking in excitement, talking about all the dates he’ll take you on (and about your wedding of course)

-you sheepishly look over at Jamil, who is staring daggers into you, the message clear ‘you couldn’t have waited until morning?’. If looks could kill, Jamil would have cut you into a three course meal just now :D

-Jamil tells him to quiet down, so the rest of the dorm can rest

-Kalim continues to whisper-yell, till eventually you two fall asleep cuddling

-the next day, half the school already knows about your now relationship, partially because the entirety of scarabia could hear him, and partially because Kalim can’t keep his mouth shut-

-He is so hung up on that marriage comment, that he might accidentally introduce you as his fiancée a few times!

Jamil

-you, being the kind soul that you are, probably decided to help him out with his chores around Scarabia

-But unlike him, you aren’t used to so much work, No matter how much Crowley tries to overwork you so eventually you’re just straight up exhausted.

-Jamil brings you to one of the many couches, but he makes sure it’s one away from the business of the dorm, he wouldn’t want you to be disturbed while you sleep he cares to much about you for that

-He picks up the few dirty plates some other students left behind, as you get comfortable, which is a very easy task, considering all those silk blankets and soft pillows! You mumble something a mere second before falling asleep. “You’re so caring, Jamil… makes me want to marry you even more than i already to..”

-Jamil halts in his tracks, he almost drops the plates he was carrying! Partially because he’s flustered, but also because a part of him hoped you wouldn’t like him back and the crush would pass.. not that it ever would have

-He is lost in thought as he makes his way to the kitchen, he almost even runs into another student

-Jamil likes you, he really does, there’s no doubt there, but he’s worried more than anything. He doesn’t have time for love!

-not only would you distract him from keeping Kalim from accidentally getting himself killed, but his work would mean that he’d have little to no time to spend with you.. not to mention if you get married, you and your future children would be forced to work for the Asim family too- Unless..

-If he takes you’re last name, instead of him yours, neither of you would be a part of the Viper name any longer. Instead of him enslaving you into service, you could free him from his life of servitude.

-And you always find ways to hang out, despite how busy he is

-He continues to work, now with a smile on his face.

-Maybe this could work out after all :)

Ruggie

-Another one who you were probably helping with work

-Usually he’d refuse help, he doesn’t want to be indebted to anyone, but hey, it’s an excuse to spend more time with you, so he’ll make an exception

-Afterwards, your beat.. even after book 3 and knowing him for a while, you never could have guessed how much work just one certain Lion could make.

-He lays down next to you, either making a sarcastic or teasing comment as he does.

-As always, you laugh in response, but this time you follow it up with “You’re a great guy, you know that? I hope i get to marry you one day..”

-His usual smug smirk, is gone. Just like that. It’s replaced by absolute shock

-He turns to you, to question you about it, only to see you’re already in the land of dreams

-Ruggie doesn’t know how to feel, He is shocked, flustered, and most of all, confused. Yes, he is happy that you like him back, it just confuses him.

-You’re in a school filled with rich guys and literal Royalty. So, by the seven, why would you like a guy like him? Especially since your first meeting was literally him stealing a sandwich from your son friend!

-But it makes him smile, in a school filled with rich people, someone as amazing as you, still chooses him, so he must be really great, right?

-Now he’s even more determined to get a good job, so that he can give you and your possible children a good life!

-He just hopes his Grandma and the kids will like you.. nah, he’s sure they will, you’re you!

-He won’t immediately make his move to ask you out, but he’s definitely working on it! He would be a bit more hesitant about asking you out (Even after you basically asked to marry him) if you’re a girl, as in nature male hyenas are naturally more submissive towards the female they’re trying to court
