I added this onto a master list but I’ve been meaning to make an individual post about it, palestine-shirts is a Palestinian family business I’ve been buying from for around a decade, I still have every single thing I’ve ever bought from them in perfect condition. they’re extremely high quality. From their about page:
About Us:
We are two brothers, born and raised in Palestine, and now, as we stand on the very same soil, we feel a deep calling to make a difference in the lives of our people. In the shadow of the enduring crisis that has cast a heavy veil over the Palestinian land, we've embarked on a heartfelt journey, giving birth to "Palestine-shirts.com" - not just a website, but a vessel of hope, unity, and unwavering support for our homeland.
I received this email from them in September stating they were struggling to keep their business running
Tumblr media
I can’t recommend them enough. They’re a really amazing business and they have a large range of products including handmade items from palestine

I was looking through my drafts and found this compilation of quotes I put together of Beatle girls talking about other Beatle girls. It's probably not totally comprehensive, but I thought some people might find it interesting.
Cyn + Mo
Far from being a shy little thing, Maureen was talkative, full of laughter and great fun: we all liked her enormously and thought she was good for Ringo.
All of the Beatles’ women got on with each other, but Maureen, who was one of the most down-to-earth, honest people I ever knew, became my closest friend. After their son Zak was born in September, seven months after the wedding, she and I used to go up to Knightsbridge to shop. Anthony would drop us off and we’d do the rounds of Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the designer shops in between, then stop for lunch in a smart little bistro. We’d buy cute little outfits for our sons and we were always on the lookout for something different or special for the men. We loved to surprise them with a psychedelic shirt, a piece of ethnic jewellery, or I would buy John a new plectrum for his guitar. John always loved prezzies, as he called them. No matter how small they were, he’d be delighted and I loved looking for things to surprise him. Much as Maureen and I enjoyed our outings, she always made sure she was at home for Ringo when he came in. Such was her devotion to him that she would stay up sometimes until four in the morning to greet him with a home-cooked meal. She wanted him to feel loved and cared for and, like me, she had been brought up in a family where women did the caring and nurturing while men provided. We often went over to their house and hung out with them, it was always party time at the Starkeys’. Ringo was gregarious and fun-loving, a clown and a joker with an infectious laugh. Together, he and Maureen made an irresistible double act, both extrovert and uninhibited. Ringo had installed a replica pub in their front room, which he called the Flying Cow. It had a counter and till, tankards, mirrored walls and even a pool table. He’d nip behind the bar to serve us all drinks, while Maureen supplied us with endless plates of food. It was a cosy, comfortable house with what felt like the ultimate luxury at the time: a TV – usually switched on – in every room. They had large grounds, in which Ringo had built in a go-kart track. He and John would race the go-karts or play pool while Maureen and I chatted over a cup of tea or took Zak and Julian for a walk. Ringo’s other passion was making his own short films. He had lots of equipment and loved to experiment, so after the nanny had taken over Zak and Julian we’d watch his latest movie. One was a fifteen-minute study of Maureen’s face. Innovative, perhaps, but not the most riveting entertainment.
Cynthia Lennon, John
Cyn + Jane
Jane was different from the girls Paul had been out with previously. The daughter of a psychiatrist father and a music-teacher mother, she was highly intelligent and cultured. She had a strong inner confidence, with a maturity and grace way beyond her years.
Paul stayed for a while. He told me that John was bringing Yoko to recording sessions, which he, George and Ringo hated. Paul had broken up with Jane Asher a couple of weeks after John had left me. I was sorry because I’d really liked Jane.
Cynthia Lennon, John
Cyn + Pattie
I liked Cynthia, but of all the Beatle wives and girlfriends I found her the most difficult to make friends with. She and I came from such different backgrounds; she had no career, she was a young mother, and we had no point of reference apart from our attachment to a Beatle. She wasn’t like my friends, who enjoyed a giggle and some fun: she was rather serious, and often, I thought, behaved more like John’s mother than his wife. I tended to leave her to her own devices but invited her to join me for shopping. I think she felt a bit out of her depth in the smart, sophisticated circles in which the Beatles were now moving in London. And I don’t think it helped that John thought I looked like Brigitte Bardot, or that I got on so well with him. There was a rumor—I don’t know where it came from—that John and I had an affair, and I suppose Cynthia may have believed there was something in it. It was completely untrue: we never had an affair. I wouldn’t have dreamed of it and neither, I am sure, would John.
Pattie Boyd, Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me
Meanwhile George, who had just turned twenty-one, had met a young model called Patti Boyd and fallen in love. Pattie had been given a part in A Hard Day's Night, playing a schoolgirl, because she had appeared in a successful crisps advertisement -- she was known as the Smith's Crisps girl. She was blonde, beautiful, and a sophisticated Londoner, like Jane Asher. But, like the rest of us Beatle girls, she was friendly, too, and easy to get on with.
Patti and I were becoming close friends. I admired her gorgeous figure and perfect fashion sense, and I think she enjoyed the company of someone who’d been with the Beatles from the beginning and knew the ropes.
Cynthia Lennon, John
"George has a lot with the others that I can never know about. Nobody, not even the wives, can break through it or even comprehend it. It did used to hurt me at first, as I slowly began to learn there was a part I could never be part of. Cyn talked to me about it."
[Pattie speaking] "It's not so bad these days, but it happens. Cyn was attacked not long ago in the street. Some girl kicked her in the legs and said she had to leave John alone, or else. Isn't it amazing, after all the years that John and Cyn have been married?"
[Pattie speaking] "Some people do understand. If they've been developing a lot themselves, growing up more, they know what it's all about. Cyn was very helpful at first, telling me what to do. That was when we thought of the boutique."
Cyn now and again would like to try something new, to have a job, perhaps use her art-college training in some way. She and Pattie, George's wife, did discuss the idea once of opening a boutique together in Esher, but it never came to anything.
Hunter Davies, The Beatles
Mo + Jane
I got to know Jane as well during that trip. While Paul and Richy were off horsing around, Jane and I chatted quite a bit. She’s such an intelligent person and I thought them quite an odd couple at first. Paul is such an assertive fellow (you know) he knows what he wants and Jane is that way too. I often wondered to meself how they ever stayed together as long as they did (you know).
Maureen interviewed by Maurice Devereux for Le Chroniqueur (July 1988)
Mo + Pattie
Again, she and I had little in common but she was jolly and friendly, more relaxed than Cynthia. We got on but I felt there was definitely a north-south divide among the wives and girlfriends. And I had the definite impression that the girls from the north felt they had a prior claim to “the boys.”
The final straw was his affair with Maureen Starr, Ringo’s wife. She was the last person I would have expected to stab me in the back, but she did.
Pattie Boyd, Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me
Pattie + Jane
Jane Asher was the girlfriend with whom I felt most at home, but because we both had heavy work commitments she was also the one I saw least. She came from a professional family, had grown up in London and, like me, had been privately educated. The family lived in Wimpole Street; her father was a psychiatrist and her mother a music teacher—her brother Peter became half of the pop duo Peter and Gordon. She was three years younger than me but we got on well and I’ve always been pleased to see her whenever we’ve met.
Pattie Boyd, Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me
BONUS: Mo on Linda + Yoko
I always thought [Yoko] strange. I mean she would always interrupt the lads when they were working or do strange things without any reason whatsoever. I was there when John brought the bed, and said something about wanting Yoko to be there. I asked Richy about this and he just shook his head in disbelief. I often wondered how they all put up with her. Even Richy would come home and tell me all these strange stories about her. He once told me about her moaning into John’s microphone while they were recording a song and how the two of them would make-out during takes. I always avoided her in the studio for those reasons. She was just too strange for me.
Q: What was it like to sit in the studio with John, Paul and George? A: It was like watching a couple of actors rehearsing a scene in a movie (laughs). I would sit there with a cup of coffee in my hand and watch them for a while or maybe gossip with Linda [McCartney] or Mal [Evans]. When I did watch them, I always thought to meself, so this is what he’s been doing for the last six years! (laughs) I sometimes felt like a fly on the wall, but I knew that I had to be the luckiest fly in the world. Pattie [Harrison] would sometimes be there, but she would always leave early.
Maureen interviewed by Maurice Devereux for Le Chroniqueur (July 1988)
Can't really find any proper quotes from Pattie about Yoko or Linda. She mentions both in her book without much judgment and there are pictures of her with both of them throughout the years so they probably got on okay. I don't think Jane has ever been in the same room as either Linda or Yoko. Same with Cyn and Linda. Cyn's thoughts on Yoko are probably well-established at this point.

Bedtime Story
Pairing: Bradley x Reader
Word Count: 2, 568
Warnings: Smut, breeding kink, kids (this is whole heartedly a warning), Dad!Brad
AN: This was the one that won the poll, hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Motherhood was unexpected but welcomed. You met the love of your life in high school. He was on the baseball team as a shortstop, and you were head of the yearbook committee which meant you took tons of pictures and got to spend a lot of time together. High school graduation came and went without a hitch but before college was supposed to start, you found yourself pregnant.
You were terrified of what that would mean for your future and if you would be doing it alone or not, knowing his aspiration for the Navy. He surprised you though by taking on all the responsibility a 20-year-old shouldn't have. He attended UVA for his political science degree, working nights and weekends as a security guard. He was fully involved from the second you told him, and he’s never regretted that decision.
He got an apartment for you both to live in and worked his ass off to keep you as comfortable as possible. You went to the local community college and got your degree to become an ultrasound tech while working part-time from home as a photographer. You fell more in love with him as the months went by, he made the process so much less scary than it could have been and became your rock.
On February 24 at 12:24 pm you gave birth to your first son, Andrew Nicholas Bradshaw. He was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 19.5 inches long, a head full of light brown hair and eyes that would forever remind you of his father. When you first got to bring Andy home, Bradley wouldn’t put him down for much of anything. He was every bit the doting father and when he turned 6 months old, Bradley proposed to you. You were married at the courthouse, just the two of you with your mom and dad in attendance.
When Andrew turned 3, you found out you were pregnant with baby number two. You finally had a savings account that you and Bradley put money into regularly and you owned your own three-bedroom home. Bradley had made it through Top Gun you were established in the hospital you worked at in town. Christopher James Bradshaw was born on September 17 at 3:04 am; he clocked in at 8 pounds 1 ounce, 20 inches long. He had your hair color and nose with Bradley’s lips and eyes.
Flash forward eight years and you both are still madly in love, and parents to two of the most rambunctious boys possible. Andrew was now 8 years old while Christopher has just turned 5. You loved your boys with all of your heart, but you never imagined saying some of the things that now come out of your mouth on a daily basis. You wondered if girls were any easier.
Walking into the living room to make sure both of the boys were doing their homework you were completely unsurprised by what you were witnessing. Andy had somehow managed to squish his brother into the couch cushions and was now sitting on him so he couldn’t climb out. All you could hear were your sons' muffled cries for help and Andy’s poor attempts to cover his laughter.
“Andrew Nicholas! Let your brother out from under the couch cushions. Now!” Andy jumped up quickly from the couch looking like the perfect example of a child caught with their hands inside the cookie jar. You quickly made your way over to the couch, prying the cushions off and pulling Chris out, checking him over for any injury while he clung to your scrub top as if his life depended on it, wiping his tears and nose off on your top as well.
“Andy you know better than to do that to your brother. You could really hurt him. Where did you learn to do that anyway?” You sat down on the coffee table, pulling Andy towards you by his shirt sleeve while still holding Chris to your chest. He wouldn’t look you in the eye, but when you prodded again for an answer, another voice cut into the conversation.
“Woah what’s going on here?” Bradley crouched down beside you, rubbing Chris’s back while looking between Andy and yourself for an answer. Knowing your son wouldn’t answer, you did it for him.
“Andy decided to stuff Chris into the couch and sit on him so he couldn’t get out. He was just about to tell me where he learned to do that from, isn’t that right Andy?”
“Come on, buddy. You know picking on your brother is wrong. You’re the big brother, you’re supposed to protect him, not hurt him.” Bradley told him with a soft but stern voice, forcing him to make eye contact.
“But you did it to Uncle Dean!” Andy finally spoke, his voice cracking from his temper flaring.
You quickly looked at Bradley and raised an eyebrow while you saw your husband blush, rub the back of his neck, and try to think of a response. At least he had the balls to look sheepish when his child called him out on his behavior.
“You’re right, I did. That doesn’t make it right though, buddy. Besides…Uncle Dean is much bigger than Chris and can fight back. He can’t do that yet. You need to be his protector, his friend. Understood?”
“Yes, sir. Sorry Chris.” Both of the boys hugged in forgiveness, all trace of tears long forgotten.
“Good boys. Now go wash up for dinner.” Both boys scurried quickly away to the upstairs bathroom. Bradley turned to you, pulling you to stand in front of him and gave you chaste kisses, holding you close to his body.
“You trapped my brother in the couch?”
“Kind of, what would fit anyway…I’m sorry, I didn’t know the boys were watching.”
“I’m surrounded by too much testosterone.” You breathed out through a laugh, giving Bradley a proper kiss hello after a long day at work. Before you could fully breathe in the scent of jet fuel, sweat, and aftershave, you heard the pounding footsteps of your boys on the stairs, ready to be fed.
“We’ll continue this later.” Bradley said with a wink, walking into the dining room to get the boys settled in their seats for dinner.

After the boys were in bed for the night you were sitting in bed in your panties and tank top while Bradley was in the shower. Rubbing lotion into your legs and hands you recalled watching your husband tell the boys a bedtime story about a king and queen that had two princes named Andy and Chris, that had to fight off an evil queen from another realm to protect their mother that was pregnant with the first princess. The memory brought a goofy lovestruck smile to your face but also raised the question if he had meant what he was talking about.
You loved the life you had with your boys. You were just as in love with your husband as when you first met. You actually fall more in love with him every day. He is an amazing father, helping coach the boys little league baseball team on the weekends, helping with homework, or having them “help” him fix up things in the garage. He helps with dinner on nights that you are exhausted, helps you with the laundry, and he spoils you rotten with flowers and foot rubs constantly. You’re not sure what you ever did to deserve him, but you thank every higher power for sending him to you.
“What are you thinking about, my love?” Bradley’s raspy voice breaks through your inner thoughts, bringing you back to the present. Looking up you see your husband still damp from his shower with only a towel wrapped around his waist. His thick arms straining with his hands on his hips, nice and toned upper body damp and on display for your eyes only. He is a working man with the sexy dad bod. It’s never taken much to get your juices flowing whenever it came to him, and you were starting to feel the familiar tingling sensation in your lower belly.
“I was thinking about your bedtime story tonight. It was cute. Very creative, the boys really loved it.”
“Oh yeah? And what did the queen think of it?” Bradley asked, pulling his towel off, dropping it to the floor with a dull sound and climbing up the bed to hover over you.
“The queen is wondering if the king is trying to hint at another baby.” You said while giving a smirk of your own to answer his, running your hands up his arms and over his back. You could feel his semi hard length digging into your hip and lower stomach.
“Oh, baby, the king thinks a princess would be a great addition…just one more. Hopefully we get a princess this time around. We’re still young, can keep up with them.” He began to pepper kisses along your neck and collarbones. “Besides, you know I can’t get enough of you when you’re pregnant. It’s a shame I can’t keep you like that. So, your majesty, what’s the verdict?” He resumed peppering kisses all over your face and neck, avoiding your lips until you gave an answer.
“I say, let’s try for a princess.” You whispered in his ear, dragging your lips across the scars on his cheek and chin before reaching his own.
Bradley broke into a wide smile full of joy before planting his lips onto yours. Your mouths and tongues moved in a well-practiced rhythm, building in intensity as his hands slowly ghosted over your sides, pulling your tank top up as he went. Your lips only separated long enough for your tank top to come off before he was immediately kissing you again. His hands formed to your breasts, giving rough squeezes to the globes before his fingers circled, pinched, and pulled on your nipples. The sensations shot down to your core making you arch your back into him, keeping your sounds as quiet as possible to not disturb the little ears just down the hall.
You grasped onto the base of his cock, giving gentle tugs and pulls, causing pre-come to bead at the swollen tip. You smeared it over his cock, using it as lubricant for your hand. Just as you were gaining a little momentum, you heard a ripping sound and a tug on your hip and realized he just tore your panties from you. You were more turned on then you should be at the action but before you could think more about it, you felt one of his long and calloused fingers enter your slick opening at the perfect angle. After a few pumps in and out of you, you wanted more than his fingers were going to be able to do. You just needed him inside of you.
“Please Bradley…stop teasing.”
“I’ve got you, baby. I know what you need.”
Before you could even try to formulate a response he was coating the tip of his cock in your wetness, lodging himself at your opening but not moving forward just yet. He held your hips still with both of his hands, preventing you from moving him inside of you any further.
“Fast or slow, gorgeous…which one do you want?”
“God Roo…I just want your cock in me. Don’t you want to fill me up in every way possible, baby? Make me feel so good like only you can.”
You knew dirty talk was a big motivator for him and you were going to use it to your advantage. Watching the internal struggle play out over his face as he tries to hold back lets you know that it is working. Just as you open your mouth to continue your torture, he slams into you until your hips are flush together, pausing to let you adjust to his considerable thickness and length.
“Fuck, baby…so tight…so wet it’s practically pouring out of you.” He grunts quietly into your open mouth.
“You feel so good…so thick and hard…please fuck me.”
He held onto your hips, elevating them up into the air, your thighs thrown over his arms making sure you were completely open to him, allowing him to reach into the deepest places of your body. But, you were becoming impatient with your husbands teasing. You wanted it hard and fast, and you wanted it now. Before you could voice your wishes, he slowly pulled out of you and flipped you over onto your stomach, lifting your hips up to become level with his own, notching himself into place again.
“Grab a pillow sweetheart and hold on for the ride.”
You could hear the smirk in his voice and as soon as you buried your face into your pillow he slammed into you, causing your eyes to cross and your mouth to hang open in a silent moan. With a bruising grip on your hips, he set a punishing pace. The only sounds to be heard were both of your muffled moans and grunts, skin slapping against skin, and the headboard knocking against the wall. You wrapped both of your hands around the slats in the headboard to try and keep it from hitting the wall so as not to wake your sons.
“Fuck fuck fuck…I’m not gonna last, baby. Thinkin' about you all round and full, Jesus Christ.” Bradley harshly breathed out between thrusts, causing you to nod your head in agreement. You were almost there with the way he was rubbing against that sensitive rough patch on the front of your wall, you just needed a little extra push.
Just like always, your husband knew your body better than yourself, reaching around with his right hand to rub rough and tight circles into your clit while his other hand knotted itself into your hair. He pulled your hair back hard enough to arch your back, making everything feel as if sparks were exploding inside of your body. With a loud and drawn-out moan of his name your vision went white while fireworks exploded behind your eyes.
The constrictive movement of your walls caused his rhythm to falter and after three more sloppy thrusts, he spilled his seed as deep inside of you as he could; the warm and full feeling brought a second smaller orgasm to the surface before you both slumped down onto the bed.
“Holy shit…that was fucking hot.” He said against the back of your neck, rolling you both to your sides where he pulled you into his chest, rubbing the soft space underneath your belly button. The action caused you to smile before you yawned out a murmured agreement, both of you falling asleep in complete contentment thinking about the possibility of adding to your family.

Four months later you were returning home from your doctor’s appointment to share the news of a new arrival with your family. Walking into the living room you were confronted with an unfortunately familiar sight.
“Bradley Bradshaw! Let my brother out from under the couch cushions! You better hope the boys don’t do this to their little brother or sister.”
You watched Bradley jump up from the couch and freeze as soon as your words registered. Dean lumbered out from the couch as gracefully as a bull in a china shop before running and giving you a hug.
“We, we did it? We really, did it?” Bradley quietly asked, shock all over his face. Giving him a teary nod, you were embraced in a forceful hug from your husband.
Yeah, motherhood was totally worth it, even if your husband acted like a child himself once in a while.

Almost A Love Story
Tumblr media
September 1, 1977
The sun slowly crept through the curtains, peering over the young witch, who was comfortably sleeping in her bed. Rosalie Evans stood by the door of her only daughter's bedroom, a small smile on her lips as she admired her. She slowly crept towards the side of Y/n's bed, taking a seat in the empty space beside her daughter.
“Darling, get up. It's September first, your last year at Hogwarts.” Rosalie kissed her daughter's forehead before nudging Y/n slightly.
“Five more minutes, Mum,” Y/n mumbled, turning away from her mother and throwing a pillow over her head.
“No can do, darling. It's already half past eight, and we still have a long way to King's Cross.” Y/n groaned, making her mother chuckle. “Breakfast's ready; I made your favorite chocolate chip pancakes with bacon on the side.”
At the mention of her favorite, Y/n turned to face her mother with bleary eyes. “Fine, give me ten minutes, Mum.”
The older woman chuckled before planting a kiss on her daughter's forehead. “Okay, take your time, my little daffodil.”
Y/n slowly got up and rubbed her eyes as her mother left the room. A loud yawn escaped her lips as she tore the covers off of her body. “Last and final year at Hogwarts, Y/n/n. After this, you won't have to deal with loud, squealing roommates anymore. You'll get a job, and you'll be able to help your Mum.” Y/n sighed softly, gazing over the photo on her bedside table. She got out of bed and opened the curtains, letting sunlight in. “You can do this.”
Y/n Evans was never a standout student. She was, in every sense of the word, average. She never considered herself extraordinary; the only thing she ever considered remarkable about herself was the fact that she had magic running in her veins. Despite all that, she was never one to consider herself, in any way, exceptional compared to most of the magical and muggle population.
Y/n spent her years at Hogwarts as one of the background characters, never the main character, always one amidst the sea of red, green, blue, and yellow. It was alright; she wasn't complaining, though, because she never really liked being the center of attention. Y/n only had one friend, Emily Roswell, who's another muggle-born witch like her. Y/n Evans liked her life just the way it was, being one of those people who just seemed to blend into the background—uninteresting enough to even notice.
Unbeknownst to her, all that was about to change in her seventh and final year at Hogwarts.
The young witch started to get ready for the first day back at Hogwarts. After a while, Y/n descended into the kitchen, clad in a white shirt and denim bell-bottom jeans. Rosalie smiled at the sight of her daughter. “Looking good, my little daffodil.”
Y/n chuckled, sitting at the other end of the table in front of her mother. “Thanks, Mum, so breakfast?” Rosalie nodded, pushing a plate of chocolate chip pancakes in front of the young witch, who immediately dug into the fresh stack.
“What's an Auror again, darling?”
"So, sweetheart, what are your plans after you finish Hogwarts?” Rosalie asked.
Y/n looked at her mother, shrugging her shoulders. “I honestly don't know yet, Mum. I guess I'll apply for a position at the ministry. Though, I'm leaning more towards being an Auror.”
“An Auror is like a policeman, Mum. Aurors catch dark wizards.”
Rosalie's eyes widened. “Are you sure you want to be an auror, darling?”
“If I could, I would, Mum. But I haven't taken my N.E.W.T.'s yet, and that will determine if I'm eligible,” Y/n explained, noticing her mother's worried look. “If not, I'll find a job here, in the muggle world.” Y/n smiled, grabbing her mother's hand. “Don't worry, Mum, I'll be alright.”
Y/n loved her mother's nickname for her. Though she wasn't named after a flower, Rosalie nicknamed her after one. Daffodils symbolize new beginnings, hope, and joy. Rosalie found it fitting for a nickname for her little daughter because Y/n was her new beginning after everything that happened in her life. Y/n is the light of her mother's life—like how daffodils emerge each spring to light up barren landscapes with cheerful colors.
Rosalie sighed, gripping her daughter's hand. “You know I won't stop worrying about you, my little daffodil.”
Y/n gave her mother an assuring smile. “I know, Mum. But I promise to steer clear of harm's way.”
“I mean it, Y/n. You stay out of harm's way; do you hear me?”
“Promise.”
After breakfast, Y/n packed up her trunk with her mother, making sure she didn't leave anything important behind. Y/n grabbed her bag, slinging it over her shoulder before dragging her large trunk out of her bedroom door and down to the car. As soon as everything was checked and done, the mother-daughter duo drove to King's Cross station.
Y/n sang Dancing Queen while on the way to the station, at the top of her lungs, while her mother laughed at her. “You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen!”
Rosalie smiled at her daughter. She could light up a room with that infectious smile and her bright eyes—full of life and passion. “You're turning seventeen soon, little daffodil.” Rosalie turned to face her daughter. “What do you want this year, love?”
“I dunno, I have everything I could ever want.” Y/n shrugged, lowering the radio volume. “I guess a new book?”
Rosalie chuckled. “You always ask for a new book.”
Y/n raised a brow at her mother, a small smirk on her pink lips. “Well, what should I ask for?”
“What about a camera? You could make a journal full of memories from your final year, so one day, when you have kids of your own, you could show them.”
Y/n scoffed, “Really, Mum? Kids?”
Rosalie chuckled. “You should ask God for a boyfriend for your birthday this year.”
“Mum!” Y/n's eyes widened, her cheeks flushing. “I do not need a boyfriend!”
Rosalie stifled a laugh. “You need a little love in your life.”
“Oh, please, Mum. I get plenty of love from you.” Y/n rolled her eyes. “And besides, I'm not interested in getting a boyfriend anytime soon. I'm focused on my studies; a boyfriend will only be a distraction.”
“When love comes, love comes.”
Y/n rolled her eyes again at her mother. She wasn't interested in falling in love—for now, at least. “Whatever, Mum.”
The car finally stopped in front of King's Cross. Y/n stepped out of the car, grabbing her bag, before walking to get a trolley for her trunk. Rosalie helped her daughter place her trunk on the trolley before accompanying her.
The mother-and-daughter duo eased their way through the bustling crowd of King's Cross, making their way over to the platforms. As the two stopped in front of the familiar platforms nine and ten, Rosalie turned to her daughter, beaming with pride as she cupped her face. “Go on, my little daffodil, go make memories.”
Y/n turned to her trolley, gripping the handle. She cast one last look at her mother, who smiled and urged her to go on. Y/n took a deep breath before running through the barrier that separated platforms nine and ten. The young witch grinned at the sight of the familiar scarlet train greeting her, smoke billowing out of the engine.
Y/n wrapped her arms around her mother. “I love you, Mum.”
Rosalie placed a kiss on her daughter's forehead. “I love you too, my little daffodil. Go on then.” She pulled away from her daughter's embrace. “You go ahead. Be sure to write, alright? I'll have that camera for you by your birthday in December.”
Y/n strolled through the platform, her eyes searching for her best friend in the sea of chattering students. She ducked away from the students and rushed forward to the nearby door of the train, tugging her trunk behind her. When she made her way aboard, Y/n made her way down the aisle in search of an empty compartment and her best friend.
While wandering through the train in search of an empty compartment, Y/n heard a loud crash. She turned around and saw the Marauders running away from Severus Snape, who was currently sporting bright red hair. The boys sped past her, knocking her over in the process.
“You prat!” Y/n shrieked angrily as she fell onto the floor.
“Sorry!” The boy with messy raven hair that stuck up behind his head in weird directions, also known as James Potter, abruptly stopped and apologized with a cheeky grin before turning back and running away.
In some cases, Y/n was mistaken for Lily Evans. Y/n was not, in any way, related to the redheaded girl. The last name Evans was not uncommon in the muggle world, though only she and Lily were the only known Evans' in Hogwarts—and both did not know each other well. Y/n was adopted at the young age of three, never knowing who her biological parents were or whether they were purebloods or what.
Y/n rolled her eyes before standing up and stepping into a nearby compartment, settling inside. The first day of her final year, she gets knocked over by four idiots. What could possibly go worse? Y/n sighed as she watched from the window as parents waved to their children when the train pulled out of the station as the clock struck eleven. She always got jealous of those who had their parents hug them on the platform and wave them off as the train left. How she wished that her mother got the chance to see her off, but her mother couldn't step on Platform nine and three quarters, being a muggle and all. Y/n brushed the feeling off, opening her bag and pulling out her favorite book. She might as well enjoy the peace and quiet before the Marauders get another idea, causing mayhem on the train—again.
Being in the background meant she saw each and every time the Marauders pulled something off. Like that one time in their third year when Potter and Black nearly set the train on fire when they set off a firecracker inside the compartment. Or that one incident in their fifth year when the whole train got flooded because of Ligare Pluviam cast on Severus Snape. Those boys never pass on a chance to pester Snape, the usual target of all of their pranks. Not that Y/n could blame them; Snape was really insufferable and a bully—Y/n was a victim of the Slytherin a few times. Snape made it his mission to insult people who got in his way, sneering and looking down at muggle-borns—except for Lily Evans.
Lily was famous; everyone in Hogwarts loved her, with the exception of Slytherins. She was smart, the brightest witch of her age, always top of the class. In other words, Lily Evans is everything that Y/n Evans was not. Though Y/n didn't mind, she'd rather be invisible than have boys flocking all over her. Lily had boys fawning over her, and one of them was James Potter.
James Potter had been in love with the redheaded witch since their first year. Y/n didn't quite understand why James kept on asking Lily Evans out when every time he did, she'd turn him down. What was so special about her? Besides being pretty and smart, why does James Potter worship the ground she walks on like some kind of goddess? He looks like a lovesick puppy chasing after her, always doing something to catch her attention.
Suddenly, the door to the compartment opened, snapping Y/n out of her thoughts. Emily stood by the door, a huge grin plastered on her face as she sat down beside her. “Hey, Y/n/n.”
Y/n smiled at her friend. “Hey, Ems. How was your summer?”
“Absolutely awful. I was forced to attend a debutante ball.” Emily grimaced. “They forced me to wear this frilly white ball gown.”
Y/n cringed. “Ugh, I can see it.”
Emily chuckled.  “Well, that was my summer. I mean, I literally just stayed in my room all summer, apart from that bloody ball. So anyway, have you heard who the head boy and girl are? ”
Y/n furrowed her eyebrows, scrunching her nose. “Why do I need to know who? It's not like I care, and besides, they may be as shitty as the last.”
“It's Potter and Evans—Lily Evans.”
“So? Potter will probably try to woo her like always, and she'll hit him with anything within reach. Honestly, it's getting pretty old seeing him shamelessly flirt with that girl who doesn't even give him a second glance.”
“Well, you have to admit that Lily is one lucky witch.”
Y/n scoffed. “I wouldn't call her lucky.”
Emily cocked a brow at her friend. “Oh? And why is that, Miss Evans?”
Y/n rolled her eyes at her friend. “Have you tried getting pestered every bloody day for the last six years?” Though she hadn't experienced getting pestered by the opposite sex, Y/n knew it wasn't the best feeling. “That bloke's nutters when it comes to her.”
“I suppose so.” Emily chuckled. “Anyway, how was your summer?”
Tumblr media
The Marauders—James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew—sat inside their self-proclaimed compartment. Boxes and wrappings of sweets scattered around while Sirius and Peter played Wizard's Chess—Sirus losing against Peter, who was grinning smugly at him. Remus sat beside the window, his eyes glued to his copy of Advanced Potions.
“Prongs, what are you doing?” Sirius eyed his friend, who had slumped on the floor right beside Remus' leg, pulling out a quill and parchment from his bag. James looked up at Sirius, who was peering over his shoulder.
"I'm going to write Evans a letter," James said with a proud smirk.
“Again?” Peter raised a brow at James, who scowled at him.
James has loved Lily Evans since the day he laid eyes on the fiery redhead. He has asked her out multiple times, and each time he did, he ended up getting hexed or hit with an object within Lily's reach. Though James did not mind, he was persistent and had already set his eyes on his goal.
“She'll love me; I just know it. Evans will be my witch by the end of the year.” James grinned proudly before turning back to scribbling his letter for his precious lily-flower.
Evans, go out on a date with me? Meet me at the Astronomy Tower tonight?
- James Potter, your future husband.
Remus looked down, his eyes landing on James' wonky handwriting on the parchment. “Your future husband? Really?” He snorted, closing the book in his shut. “Merlin, you're hopeless.”
Sirius and Peter burst out in a fit of laughter, both nearly breathless. “She's going to burn that as soon as it reaches her,” Sirius said, clutching his stomach, still laughing.
James scowled and glared at his friend. “Shut up, Pads," He huffed before slipping the parchment into an envelope. “I'm going to find an owl to deliver this to my future wife.”
Emily Rosswell made her way through the halls of the Hogwarts' Express in search of the Trolley Witch for some sweets for herself and her friend, Y/n. Suddenly, she bumped into someone, making her stop in her tracks.
James stood up, straightening his robes and making sure he was presentable before stepping out of the compartment. “Wish me luck, boys.” Sirius and Peter snickered at their friend, while Remus just shook his head, knowing that James' plan would fail miserably again.
“Sorry, I-” she said, looking up to see James Potter giving her an apologetic smile. “Alright there? Sorry 'bout that; I wasn't looking my way.”
Emily chuckled nervously. “It's alright, uh, I'll go ahead.” Emily turned to leave, excited to tell Y/n what had just happened. But James stopped her, his hazel eyes shining with mischief.
“Can you do me a favor? Miss?” James asked with an amused smile.
“Roswell. Emily Roswell.”
“Emily, yes, so can you do me a favor, love?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.” Emily accepted the letter in her hand.
Emily arched her brow, confused as to why James Potter was asking her for a favor, but nonetheless, she nodded.
James grinned before fishing for the letter inside his robe pocket and giving it to the blonde witch in front of him. “Can you give this to Evans?”
“Thanks,” James smiled before turning his back and walking back to the compartment he shared with his friends.
Emily stood there, flabbergasted. James Potter had just given her a letter to give to her friend! She quickly ran back to the compartment, abandoning the search for the Trolley Witch.
Y/n was peacefully sitting in the compartment, her legs tucked behind her knees and her nose stuck in a book.
“Y/n!” Emily squealed, “I have something for you!” Emily giggled as she sat beside her best friend.
Y/n arched her brow, eyeing her best friend with a skeptical look. “What is it? I thought you were going to get some sweets.”
Emily waved a hand, dismissing her friend. “Sweets can wait!” She pulled out an envelope from her pocket and passed it over to Y/n.
“Who's it from?” Y/n asked, her brows furrowed in confusion as she ran her thumb over the envelope.
“Open it to find out!” Emily urged her friend, a wide grin on her face. Y/n rolled her eyes, sighing, before opening the letter.
Evans, go out on a date with me? Meet me at the Astronomy Tower tonight?
-James Potter, your future husband.
“What the fuck?” Y/n said, confused, her eyes wide as she read the wonky penmanship of James fucking Potter.

I saw your answer about being burned out on Gigi but still being open to discussing the topic -
are there any little fun tidbits or ideas you had planned that you could drop in the answer box as a little treat?
Was there an eventual endgame for her?
Anything quirky or outrageous set to take place with her in her story?
Would Gigi ever change her ways and act grown up?
XOXOX you are my favorite writer on this whole entire app you must know
My darling, yes, yes, yes I am happy to talk of it! And I’m so happy you popped in. I cannot believe I’m your favorite, that’s just stunning to me, I’m really touched. 🫶🏼💋🫵🏻
Now into Gigi!
Tumblr media
Shortly before the August tour she and Lisa Marie meet and as Lisa is in many ways more mature 🤣 they actually end up bonding very well, I imagined a case of Linda and Lisa with someone who’s even more playful -Gigi- and who genuinely would spend five hours playing Barbie’s because she wants to and has no fear on the golf carts.
On the August tour she’s a lifesaver for Elvis in so many ways, but things are also hard and she’s clingy and he’s on the pills to hell him keep going and it’s a side she hasn’t fully seen from him and rightfully considers to now be “the real him”
So she sticks it out but he also lashes out at he rom e about how clingy she is and it’s devastating to her. Positively devastating…all he really said was that she should be able to go to sleep on her own if he needed/wanted to keep socializing with the boys or whatever
When he goes to join her in the room that night he finds are shaking and crying and cold and practically going through a sub drop of sorts
Which gets cured with insistent assurance he’s a selfish old man who doesn’t even appreciate the miracle right under his nose and massive amounts of love and cuddles and him laying on top of her like a weighted blanket.
Swearing she’s always gonna be His Baby Girl
There’s no going back after that
Not that either Elvis or Gigi would want to
Tumblr media
Something wonderful does happen on this tour and in many ways it’s due to Gigi yet again, Colonel Parker hasn’t being so well himself and now having to endure Elvis calling out his newest PR nightmare from the stage each night as his little Angel when she’s sitting there beaming, nineteen and big titted, is a worsening strain.
Sometime in later September the strain gets to be too much, apparently, when Colonel Parker is trying to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and soak in the hot tub with his cigar and a starry night sky but instead of being able to enjoy these he is assaulted with the caterwauling sounds of Gigi getting pleasurably railed on the balcony, one too many references to how big Elvis is and how much she loved how big he is and how big he is and…on and on and on
The Colonel was found at dawn bobbing up and down in the little bubbling caldron -a heart attack apparently
Big Sad
Such a big sad they have to cancel the rest of the tour and fly out to Hawaii to mourn and lift Elvis’ spirits
There Gigi feeds him pineapples and papaya juice and frolics in the surf in every smaller bikinis that are more calculated than Elvis assumes because her chief goal is actually to get him shirtless and frolic with her and he won’t unless it’s such a dire paparazzi emergency he must offer his own shirt to cover her bouncing assets
They make a baby on a plane ride, he just goes in during the turbulence and she’s so vigorous and delighted no pulling out occurs
So he marries her *duh*
Lisa is delighted by this and Lovey is born -cue, lots of Gigi never updating her wardrobe so everything is just flowy and unbuttoned and lots of nursing with a tit out much to the Memphis Mafia’s consternation about where to look without Elvis biting their heads off
Gigi loves engaging in a past time of seeing how far she can shoot her milk, it’s her favorite thing about motherhood, the little clothes are next and somwhere down the line is the actual baby
Don’t fret -Lovey has more than enough parental love coming from Elvis
With Parker gone and out of the way, wishes and whims honestly get to be met a lot easier and Gigi considers one of the most tragic things her Bug Daddy went though is the closing of Circle G ranch so you best believe she wheedles and begs for another and it’s a complete zoo by the end, not a ranche
They have another kid, soonish —a son named Baron. He’s the only one to inherit brain cells and will go on to be as devastatingly handsome and charming as his father and yet a full on Bayou living recluse when he’s not taking care of Graceland and his mother and kindly informing Miss Bealieu that if she wanted to use the name Presley, maybe she shoulda not divorced the original Presley she was related to?!👇🏼
Tumblr media
but all that is after Elvis dies.
Because he does and yeah it’s genuinely sad and it happens sometime in the early 2000’s and his last words are to Baron and to “take care of my Gigi”
Gigi then proceeds to live and a very Yellow Wallpaper version of reality, never one for facing realities but gifted with a massive amount of emotional intelligence, she’s quite certain every breeze through the curtain and creak in the old house and song order on the radio is a message from Elvis to her. Yeah it’s a bit morbid but it’s also oddly convincing, “Daddy” doesn’t lose any presence just because he’s zipped out to the gas station longer than usual.
She’s preserved everything and that’s her chief hobby along with the zoo, even when Lovey is situated and taking over the magazines Elvis bought and produced. Gigi takes an interest for sure ->hell, she used to be their centerfold time and again so the least touch of her manicured hand on an editorial is still gold, no matter how time passes<- but first and foremost she’s still insistent she’s gotta be at Graceland, can’t leave Daddy alone there for long.
Which is a CRAZY and weird ass world for a certain Austin Butler to step into for research.
Tumblr media
It’s impeccably preserved to the point of being past creepy, like it’s not creepy instead it’s just fully convincing, which probably should’ve been his first clue to run for his sanity sake, but when you love a thing you’ll quickly embrace a comforting illusion over a hurtful reality
And Austin loves Elvis, almost as much as Gigi does
Which becomes their joint reality
She’s eager to help him with the research, pours out the most insightful and tender perceptions of her Daddy, shows Austin his guitars and his books, his notes and his bibles, hours of hole footage -some of which Austin initially did not see the research value in due to their scandalous content but Gigi was insistent it was crucial material to get to know Elvis as his most unassuming, which she insisted was in bed
Probably shoulda been predictable -except for their age gap but life does imitate art- bonding over one all consuming love in their lives and watching X rated home movies and breathing life into each other’s lonely delusions really binds people together
Tumblr media
Baron Presley is initially totally incensed and suspect this little twink Butler but eventually he softens, gets won over
Austin’s a good and kind influence on Gigi and between him and Baz they get her out more, Lisa’s good word regarding both helps this, too
Gigi gets convinced to go to Cannes with them all and Baron actually surfaces from his redneck palace in the bayous to confirm he’s not in fact dead for the first time in ten years,
Tumblr media
He Takes Care of Business one last time at Cannes like his daddy would like, see Austin would dearly like to be Gigi’s and Gigi would like to be Austin’s -hell they already are- so Baron does them a little favor and draws out the little Nepo Arm Candy that Austin’s been toting about the these events and charms her real well and let’s just say, when Priscilla Bealieu saw Baron Presley come out of the coed bathroom in swaggering dishevelment with a little bowlegged twig behind him -she got some severe ptsd flashbacks to his father
After this it’s all happily ever after and Gigi is still showing up to Austin’s premiers and she’s proud as anything of him and he of her and together they’ve found whatever it is that binds souls together
Life imitates art
•also, for those who ask, if Gigi ever gets a lurid and beautiful biopic herself, looks like Emerald Fennel is the one for the job, uhem
Tagging my Gigi taglist as this is a headcanon list of sorts and y’all may enjoy seeing it 💋

April 2022
I moved to Vancouver 2 weeks ago for work even though I can work from home. I wanted a change so I decided to move. I'm a clothing designer. I started the summer before I started going to university. It was hard trying to juggle a clothing brand and university at the same time especially since i was doing extra classes during summer since i wanted to be able to finish a semester earlier so i could go back home for summer & be settled in Vancouver for when i come back in September, but i was able to make it work.
When I first started I would only make 1 shirt in all sizes and sell them, it took a while to be able to make money off it, but now the clothing company is doing really well, It’s an online clothing store. I sell both Women & Men clothes from comfy to fancy.
I’ve always wanted to open my own store and I thought Vancouver would be perfect for that, most of my buyers are from canada.
I was born in Plymouth Michigan, i grew up in a lake house, my parent’s love it here, so do i, during winter my dad, my older brother and i would go skating on the lake, it’s one of my favorite things to do during the winter, during summertime we would go on boat rides almost every day.
I went to the University of Michigan, I graduated in June, it was the best 3 and a half years, now I'm on a new chapter of my life. I
I am still getting used to Vancouver. I don’t really know where everything is yet, it’s only been 5 days and i can work on my own time as long as i meet my deadlines, so i’ve been walking around Vancouver. It was a pretty chilly day but it wasn’t too bad. We are now at the end of April.
It took a while before moving here to look for an apartment, And to get everything settled since I’m American i needed to apply for a work visa, it took a while before i was accepted.
I finally found a cute coffee shop so I made my way inside and in line to order. I looked at the menu to see what I should order. Once I decided to go with (favorite coffee order) the line was shorter and it was only a cute guy in front of me and I.
When I finally ordered, I made my way to the pick up station. The cute guy got his drink before me and walked out. I got my drink a second later and left the coffee shot. I started walking back to my apartment since I still have some unpacking to do.
I’m walking and looking around me, Vancouver is truly a beautiful city. I looked in front of me and saw the cute guy was going in the same direction. He looks familiar but I can't figure out why.
I saw him getting in the same apartment building I live in, maybe he lives there too. I made my way inside to see the elevator doors about to close. The guy looked up from his phone and saw I was walking that way, so he put his hand to stop the doors from closing.
I smiled as I walked in and stood next to him, to see he selected the same floor as I live on.
“Thanks for holding the door,” I said thankfully.
“No problem,” he said. He looked so serious like he didn’t have any emotion in the fact that i said thank you.
“I’m yn” i said
“Quinn” he replied before looking down at his phone.
He looked pretty tired, maybe that’s why he doesn’t seem to want to talk. But so am I, so I can't judge.
The doors opened on our floor and we both started walking to our apartments. We are both going the same direction.
Once he stopped at his place, I stopped at mine which was the one next to him.
How have i not noticed him till today, since i’ve been here, it looked like no one lived there.
I saw him look at me before he opened the door. I looked at him as we made eye contact for a second.
“See you around neighbor” i told him smiling before walking in my Apartment and closing the door behind me.
I really hope I see him again. I smiled before continuing to unpack my stuff.
Tumblr media
1 week later, May 2022
I finished packing my suitcase to bring back home with me. I was finally able to finish unpacking the furniture and everything else in this apartment so I thought I would finally go back home, since it’s warmer there right now then it is in Vancouver.
I made sure everything was turned off and made my way out of the apartment with my suitcase. As soon as I locked my door, Quinn opened his and got out with his suitcase. Looks like I'm not the only one who seems to be leaving Vancouver.
I made my way to the elevator and I saw him do the same. I made sure to wait before pressing the lobby button.
“Thanks” he mumbled
“ no problem… Are you going to Vancouver?” I ask him, trying to make conversation.
He looked at me confused for a minute, before he shook his head.
“Going to see friends and family” he replied
“That’s always nice,” I say. All he did was nod, I guess he’s not one for conversation.
We both got out of the elevator and made our way outside, i had ordered an uber so that I wouldn't have to wait. It looks like Quinn did the same thing. Once my suitcase was in the trunk the driver started making his way to the airport.
I texted my parents to let them know I was on my way to the airport.
I got my bags checked in and made my way to my area. I found a spot where no one was sitting and sat down. My flight is only boarding in an hour but I like coming here earlier in case it’s ever busy.
I saw that my brother had texted me, he’s only 1 year older than me, he's 23 but he’s my best friend.
Big bro
Yo, are you on your way yet?
I chuckled, of course he’s impatient
Me
Just got my bags checked in, we are only boarding the plane in an hour
Big bro
Please hurry, I miss you!
Big bro
Also before i forget, apparently the hughes brothers bought the lake house next to us that was for sale, i met one of them yesterday and some of his friends they all play pro hockey, one of the brothers plays for Vancouver, Jack said he should be getting in today & the ones i met are really cool, they’re around are age, so looks like we’ll have a fun summer🤪
Me
Oh good, at least it’s not another older couple who would complain every time we try to throw a party when mom and dad go away for the 4th of July😂 & wtf obviously i heard about then you idiot, kinda hard not to when we both went to a school where a bunch of hockey players went to. Also I met the youngest Luke at university, Nick introduced me to the freshman at the beginning of the year.
Big bro
I know right😂 oh cool then i guess you’ll know one of them! Anyways see you soon kid!
Me
See ya!
I smiled, hopefully I won't be stuck hanging out with a bunch of idiots the whole summer, but at least we aren’t the only ones our age.
I was scrolling through instagram. In the corner of my eye I saw someone sitting in one of the seats in front of me.
I looked up and saw Quinn, looking like he’s going to Michigan.
He looked up at me so I smiled.
When it was finally time to board the plane, I went and sat in my seat. I'm thankful that i got the window seat, a few seconds later Quinn sat down in the seat next to me.
“Looks like we’re both going to the same place” I said.
He just nodded.
I looked back at him with a small smirk, I have a feeling that I’ll probably annoy him on the flight.
“You’re not much of a talker, are you?” I said teasing him, every time i try and talk to him, he looks like he ins’t interested in talking to me.
“Not really, do you need something from me? i’m not interested, okay, i get enough people trying to get with me just because of who i am i don’t need to have one who’s going to try the whole plane ride back to michigan” he said a little annoyed.
That was rude, why would he think I wanted anything from him… then it struck me that’s why he looked so familiar when i first met him. He’s the guy my brother told me about the brother who plays for Vancouver. He’s Quinn Hughes. He’s also Luke's older brother. How the hell did I not figure this out earlier? Luke told me that his oldest brother played for Vancouver, I just didn’t think he would be my neighbor and having him hate me.
Once I made the connection my eyes widened.
Quinn rolled his eyes.
“See you clearly know who i am, so just leave me alone” he said annoyed.
I scoffed.
“Don’t be so full of yourself, Luke’s my favorite anyways. I also didn’t recognize you until now, not everyone is going to recognize who you are. I’m also guessing you’re going to the lake house you and Jack just bought right?” I said. He’s pissing me off, and since he doesn’t know we are going to be neighbors or that I know Luke, I thought I would creep him out a little bit.
His eyes widened when I said that.
“Omg are you some kind of stalker?” He said in disgust.
I chuckled at his expression, he looks really creeped out right now.
“Not a stalker but according to my brother who met Jack yesterday we are about to be neighbor’s… again.” I said
“I’m sorry… what?”
“Oh My brother texted me earlier turns out you and jack bought the lake house right next to my parents house, looks like we’ll see each other a lot this summer” i said smirk
I heard him curse under his breath.
“You better not go anywhere near our house,” he said.
“that’s funny because i can promise the second Luke sees me, he’s going to invite me over”
“Like hell he is” he said laughing like there was no way that would ever happen.
“I don’t care if you guys play hockey, i’m going to go after you just because of fame or money. And Just so you know, I already know luke. I met him in September when he started at Michigan since I'm friends with Blanks. He's a good kid, i would help tutor him with calculus, i think of him as a little brother, same with the other younger guys. I even met your mom for fuck sakes and she was nicer than you are right now” i said,
I could see a look of regret on his face. He sighed.
“Look i’m sorry okay, a lot of people try to get along just because of who I am , same with my brothers. Can we start over?” He asked.
He looked sincere, and I nodded, i know my brother will most likely hang out with them a lot this summer, so we should probably get along.
“I’d like that” i said
He smiled
“I’m quinn hughes, it’s nice to meet you” he said
“I’m Y/n Y/L/N, it’s nice to meet you too” i said.
We ended up getting to know each other for the rest of the flight. I told him about what I studied at university and what I do, along with a few funny stories about Luke and some of the other freshmen. He told me about hockey and his family. It was nice actually talking to him, and I really hope we can be friends since we are neighbors in Vancouver and now in Michigan.

Michigan
When our flight landed we made our way out, and went to baggage claim.
I texted my brother to let him know, he said he was waiting with Jack and Luke since both Quinn and I were on the same flight.
“Looks like my brother is waiting with yours” I told Quinn as we started looking for them.
“I see Jack, come on,” he said. I followed him to our brothers
When my brother saw me, he pulled me in a hug, making me laugh.
“I miss you too Y/B/N” i said
“Y/N” Luke said when he saw me and pulled me in a hug.
“Hey Luke” I chuckle.
“You guys already know each other?” Jack asked, confused.
Luke let go of me and looked at jack.
“Yeah, she’s friends with blanks, he introduced us in the beginning of the year, she’s also the reason why i passed calculus, thanks for tutoring me by the way” he said
“How did she tutor you if she lives in Vancouver?” Jack asked again, you could tell he was so lost, it was funny.
“I’ve only been living in Vancouver for 2 weeks now, i graduated from university of Michigan after Christmas” I said and he nodded.
“Oh make sense, and you’ve met quinn?”
“Turns out we’re neighbors in Vancouver” quinn answered, i smiled at him.
Our brothers started laughing.
“What are the fucking chances” luke said
“Yeah seriously, now you’re also neighbors here” my brother said
“I know right,” I said.
“Let’s get going” quinn said impatient
“Yeah, yeah let’s get grumpy,” Jack said.
Quinn rolled his eyes at him which made me laugh.
We made our way to the car and Jack drove us to the lake house.
Jack parked in his driveway and we all made our way to the trunk.
My brother took my suitcase before Jack turned to look at us.
“I don’t know what your plans are today, but we are having a bonfire tonight, you two are both welcome to join us” he said smiling.
“Thanks jack, that sounds fun” i said
My brother nodded.
“Yeah man we’ll be there” my brother said
“Great, then we’ll see you guys tonight”
“Blanks and a few other wolverines are here by the way, I won’t tell them, you’ll be able to surprise them” luke told me. I smiled and nodded before my brother and i made our way to our house.
As soon as we got in the house my parents hugged me.
I talked to them about Vancouver and how Quinn was my neighbor there and now here which made them laugh.
Then I went up to my room to unpack. By the time I was done it was 6:30 p.m. so I went to take a shower since I was all sweaty. Once I was done I got dressed in some Black Lululemon gym shorts and my blue Michigan hoodie.
My dad made food on the grill for dinner so I made my way down to eat since it’s already 7:30 and I am starting.
I sat down at the island counter on the chair and my mom gave me a plate.
“Thanks mom,” I said smiling.
“No problem honey” she said, placing a kiss on my cheek.
“When you’re done eating we’ll go next door. Jack said they started the fire even though it’s still light out, and you can bring alcohol if you want or he said they have a lot so we should be good.” My brother told me.
“I think you still have some (favorite alcoholic drink) in the fridge from before you left for Vancouver, bring it with you if you go” my mom said before making her way to the living room with my dad.
I finished eating so I put my plate in the dishwasher and looked in the fridge for the drinks my mom was talking about and there were still 6 of them so I put them in a bag. My brother and I made our way next door.
I saw Blanks was standing with his back to me talking with Luke. Luke saw me but I told him not to say anything. I gave my bag to my brother and ran up and jumped on his back.
“What the hell!” blanks screeched.
I laughed.
“Surprise!” I said before getting down.
“Yn?” He was surprised to see me. I nodded before he gave me a hug.
“I live next door '' I said happily, a big smile made its way on his face.
“This is about to be the best summer ever” he replied, making me laugh.
“Want to know what funny blanks she’s our neighbor here, and she’s quinn’s neighbor in Vancouver” Luke told him and i rolled my eyes, with a smile.
Nick let out a gasp.
“For real? Oh that’s awesome, like seriously what are the chances” he said
“I know right, also Luke, are you going to tell everyone?” I ask, chuckling.
Luke nodded, smiling.
“Everyone has to know” he said, like it’s the most obvious thing ever. He walked away leaving me alone with blanks.
“So, how is it like living next to Quinn?” He asked, smirking.
I rolled my eyes.
“Oh shut up” I replied, he laughed.
“No but seriously, how is it?”
“Fine i guess, he’s pretty quiet, but he kinda hated me until we got on the flight and sat next to each other, he thought i was some crazy fan” i said and nick burst out laughing i didn’t even know if he could breathe.
“What’s so funny?”
“Let me guess, you were nice and always tried to make conversation with him?”
“Yeah…” I said and he shocked his head.
“That’s what a hockey player with think most of the time when a beautiful girl tries to talk to him and especially if you see him everywhere and end up on the same plane as him, he’s gonna think you’re following him, it’s just an instinct” nick said
“Yeah i know, but i really didn’t recognize him until after my brother told me about them buying the house next door to me and then accusing me of wanting something from him, then i saw the resemblance to Luke, so i kinda creeped him out a bit about telling him i knew exactly where he was going “ i said and nick chuckled.
“Of course you did… Quinn is a good guy though so i don’t doubt you guys won’t become friends… or maybe even more than friends” he said smirking.
I pushed him back.
“Oh shut up, let’s go see everyone else” I said, laughing.
We made our way to everyone else. Blanks introduced me to the guys. They all sound really nice.
We sat around the fire and drank, the guys were sharing funny stories. Nick told the story about how Quinn and I met. I put my hands on my face to hide the embarrassment. The guys laughed
“Seriously Quinn?” Luke asked
“Look sorry but you never told me about her” Quinn replied.
We continued talking and sharing stories for the rest of the night. Some of the guys had already made their way inside to go to bed since it was late. My brother had gone back home, now it was only Quinn, blanks and i.
“I’m going to head up to bed before I pass out here” Blanks told us, making me chuckle.
“Good night blanks,” I said.
“Good night you two,” he said, smirking. I’ve known him for 4 years, he’s totally up to something.
“I should probably head to bed too, I don't want to be too tired tomorrow” I said, yawning.
Quinn turned to me and smiled.
“What?” I ask giggling.
“If I ask you on a date, would you say yes?” He asked, making me smile.
“I would,” I said blushing.
“Well, yn would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow night?”
“ i would love to” i said smiling
“Perfect, I'll pick you up at 6:30 p.m.” he said and I smiled.
We said goodbyes and I made my way home.
Once I got into bed, I fell asleep with the biggest smile on my face.

September 2022
Going on that date with Quinn was the best decision I could have made. It went really well that we went on 3 more dates until he finally asked me to be his girlfriend.
We spent as much time as we could together this summer. When the guys found out we were dating they laughed since Luke had told everyone what happened when Quinn and I first met.
We have been in Vancouver for a little bit now, Quinn came back in August for training camp, i got back last week. I know how hockey season can be, but I also know Quinn and I will make it work. We’ll be seeing each other a lot since we are neighbors.
Quinn had practice this morning but he told me last night that he would come by after lunch.
He’s been stressed lately, he hopes he can have a better season than last year, i don’t blame him.
It’s now 12 p.m. when I heard the door open.
“Babe, I'm here and I brought food,” I heard quinn.
“I’m in the kitchen,” I replied.
He made his way around the corner and smiled when he saw me.
“Hey beautiful” he said, making me blush.
He chuckled, he put the food on the counter and came over to me and kissed me. When we pulled away our forehead touched each other. I looked at his eyes to see he was doing the same.
“I love you” I said happily.
“I love you more” he replied before leaning in and kissing me again.
Being with him, nothing could make me happier.

If you’re familiar with the film, Schindler’s List, then you probably already know who this is. Amon Goeth, aka “The Butcher of Płaszów,” was born in Vienna on the 11th of December, 1908. Before WWII, Goeth worked as a clerk. On the 13th of February, 1942, Goeth became the commandant of the Kraków- Płaszów concentration camp and was known for his sheer brutality. As commandant, he was the superior of all the other minor camps and had the right to enter these camps whenever he wanted.
He participated in the liquidation of the ghettos and took pleasure in killing. By April of 1944, he was promoted to the rank of SS-Hauptsturmfuher and appointed a reserve officer of the Waffen-SS. He wallowed in luxury at the Kraków- Płaszów concentration camp, living in a villa with a swimming pool in the garden. From his balcony, he shot prisoners for walking too slow. He trained his two dogs to attack at his command and used them as a weapon.
Following the war, he was put on trial. Wladyslaw Kopystecki testified to his brutality at the camp: “When he came to the camp with his dog, in a white shirt, in high boots, he found her at the back eating a potato. He shot her in the head. She fell in the cauldron. Then he called two Jews who worked in the stable and ordered them to throw her to the other cauldron with boiling water… The Jews threw her inside, she still lived, and she moved her legs splashing that boiling water. So he ordered to cover her and walked away.”
Another prisoner testified that he also enjoyed killing children: “A six-year-old boy, after being dropped from a truck, began to run away. Goeth called: “Come, don’t be afraid!” The boy stopped. He took a mirror and son toys out of his pocket, trying maybe subconsciously to avoid death. With a forgiving smile, Goeth took everything from him only to shoot the boy with his own hands.“
Goeth was hanged on the 13th of September, 1946.

Five hargreeves x reader
- five being a dad, spoiler of season 3, some scenes are changed for the sake of the shot.
- request by anonymous
Tumblr media
Having a kid with your husband was the most beautiful thing you could ask anyone. Now for Five was a little tricky. Mostly because he had never taken care of a kid, and now he has the responsibility of his kid? Yeah, it's a little difficult for him. When Evangeline was first born, he was a wreck. Lina will wake up at the most random hours and will start crying. He will wake up in a jolt and look around, thinking he is back there. (You guys decided to stop calling the apocalypse, apocalypse and call it there) You will then wake up and walk to Lina to feed her, cradle her back to sleep, or change her diaper.
It was a little difficult for Five to get used to Lina waking up randomly, but once she started growing up a little, he got used to the routine, and whenever she cries, he's the one getting up and helping her go back to sleep. When Lina turned one, Five went all out. It was his first child; of course, he would be the one person that would be extra. (They all thought Klaus was going to be the one handling everything) Since she was born on Halloween, they decided on The Addams family. Little Evangeline was a beautiful Wednesday, you were Morticia, and Five was Gomez. It was so cute and fun. You knew that your family was almost complete. You had the most incredible gift for Five and your family-in-law by Christmas.
You dressed Evangeline in a cute red dress with black leggings while her dark brown hair was in two ponytails. Five wore a casual red shirt and black pants while you wore a red dress. Once you got to the academy, you all brought gifts for everyone to give out. "Y/N! Five! Little Lina! You guys made it!" You laughed and hugged Klaus.
"We weren't going to miss it; Klaus Little Lina has to have her first Christmas with the family." Five walked in, holding all the presents while you were holding Lina. Once we got in and suited ourselves on the living room couch. We all shared a couple of laughs and drinks. Klaus did offer you an alcoholic beverage, but you declined it and asked for just an apple cider and no alcohol. He looked at you weirdly, and you felt Five's glances at you, but you ignored it.
Once it was noon, you decided to open the presents. Once everyone went, you decided it was your turn to go. Lina was already asleep in Five's old room, and you had a baby monitor in case she woke up. You first told them they couldn't open it until you told them to. You sat their gift in their hand and left Five for last. You did a countdown and told them to open it. Everyone started tearing the paper and just looked at the shirt you gave them. Viktor looked at you with a surprised face, Diego began tearing up, and Allison started crying. Klaus was the first to speak, "You-You're pregnant?!" everyone started cheering and congratulating.
You looked at Five and waited for his reaction. He looked at you, grabbed your chin, and kissed you. Once he let go, he breathed, grinned, and whispered, "You keep me, making me the happiest man in the world, Y/N; I love you." Nine months later, your baby boy was born. Little Eugene was born on September 3. Five now knew what to do; since little Eugene wasn't his first... and probably won't be his last (his words, not yours), you knew you wouldn't mind leaving him alone with both your kids. So your little family was finally complete.
Little blurb:
Five knew you left an hour ago, and the kids were still asleep (that's what he thinks), so he knew he could get a little bit more sleep before he had to wake up the kids for breakfast. His door banged on the wall when he was about to close his eyes. He jolted and looked in panic at the door, he frowned when no one was at the door, but once he turned his head, he screamed (He won't admit that it sounded a little girly). Lina giggled, and so did Eugene; both kids stared at their father. "Papa, papa, wake up! Breakfast!" He blinked twice before scooping both kids and getting up; Both kids giggled with glee that their father wanted to play with them. He sat them both on their high chair and jumped to the fridge. He decided to make them something soft that they could both eat. (Evangeline was just four, and Eugene just turned three not too long ago)
Once breakfast was over, and they brushed their teeth, both kids decided they wanted to play with their leggos. While the kids did that, Five sat in the living room to watch both of his kids and do a little work. A little time passed when he glanced at his kids; tell us why Five saw little Evangeline spatial jump to her brother's other side. Please, someone, tell this man he didn't just see that. What will his wife say? Oh, his wife will probably kill him. Well, hopefully, she doesn't find out, right?!
She did find out and waited for Five to tell her that man felt like he had the symptoms of paradox psychosis. His innocent and lovely wife made him scared.

Okay I know it's been discussed but like. I do love me some role reversal. Just, season 1 Steve Harrington moving to California and stealing King Billy's crown without even trying.
- Steve's dad transfers to California at the behest of Mrs. Harrington. Affair after affair has left her Hawkins reputation in tatters. Nothing but pittying stares and snide comments from the locals everywhere she went. So she demands Steve's father move them out to San Diego. A fresh start, a beautiful city. Steve is devastated.
- They purchase a beach house. It's massive and bright with their very own section of the ocean all to themselves. It's beautiful and so very very empty. Because now Steve really does have no one. No friends, no hangers on. Nothing familiar or comforting. The only constant is his parents. They never stayed for more than a week at a time in Hawkins. California is no different. They leave after only five days.
- Steve ends up going to Billy's school by accident actually. His dad has never been very interested in his sons life, always brushed off with a wave or a crisp $100 to go entertain himself because I'm working Steven. So when the subject of school comes up Mr. Harrington picks at random. Just a quick signature and it's done. Unbeknownst to him this is the best thing he has ever done for Steve.
- Because here's the thing. The girls of San Diego do love Billy. But Billy grew up here. You can only fake it till you make it for so long and there has been many an instance where it was obvious Billy just could not give a shit about getting his dick wet with his date. People talk. And sure, anyone says something to Billy he'll rearrange their face. But highschool gossip is savage. California is very much more liberal than Hawkins Indiana but it's still the 80's. Billy still hides. And while he's 100% the golden skin Greek god we see in season 2, he's also less angry. Softer. Hasn't been uprooted to move cross country to bum fuck nowhere where he was something new. Something exotic. Cue Steve Harrington.
- Steve is wholesome country boy charm with a pretty face and a fat wallet. He's big warm brown doe eyes and "I'll have her home by 9 sir". Drives a swanky ass car and has a big empty beach house to throw parties in. Combine all that with a huge dick and the experience of a teen who grew up in a town where there was nothing to do other than party and fuck around? Yeah, the girls at Billy's school are not ready. And neither is Billy.
- Steve Harrington walks through the doors of Billy's highschool Monday morning wearing a crop top and dolphin shorts because he's an Indiana boy born and bred so his body is conditioned to the cold crisp fall days of September in Hawkins, not this sweltering HELL. He has NOT acclimated to the heat of Cali so my boy wears very little clothing whenever he can get away with it. Plays skins in basketball practice, takes his shirt off outside. And he's got SO MANY MORE FRECKLES. The California sunshine is doing him right and Billy Hargrove is NOT OKAY™
- The girls LOVE Steve. Something about the "aw shucks" Midwest charm he brings combined with how genuinely sweet he is. Because Tommy H. and Carol Perkins are thousands of miles away. Steve is given the chance to relax and be more comfortable in his own skin in a place like San Diego. There's no small town gossip chain here. Just the anonymity of a big city. Which also means Steve is given free rein to flirt with all the cute suffer boys at the beach. Let's his gaze linger on toned abs and chiseled jaws when he walks down the boardwalk. Winks when they linger right back.

Jefferson really saw some guy in his 20s going through it and struggling with adulting but also acting like an older brother/mentor to Miles and said "I guess I have two kids now"
Jefferson thought those two idiot kids should have guessed he'd be waiting for them, and yet when Miles and Miguel swung on to the roof of their apartment, they seemed surprised to see him. As if he wasn't a cop with access to the police scanner. As if he didn't have a TV and could watch the BREAKING NEWS, SHOTS FIRED AT SCENE OF ATTEMPTED ASSAULT IN CENTRAL PARK, SPIDER-MEN SEEN IN VICINITY. As if he couldn't connect two dots between the radio chatter of somebody saying they "shot the big guy but he just kept going".
"So," Jefferson, crossing him arms over his chest, "You had an interesting night."
"Did ... we?" said Miles.
Miguel just shrugged.
Jefferson's done that move before, back when he and Aaron had been up to some bullshit and were trying desperately to avoid consequences.
"So - nobody shot either you?"
"Okay, what were we - " Miles started. Miguel cut him off.
"Everything is fine, Mr. Morales. Miles isn't hurt, the woman in the park is safe, the two headed rat-man is back in his mother's custody."
"And nobody shot you four times?"
The dark lenses on Miguel's mask narrowed a little.
"My suit can't be penetrated by bullets of this time period."
Jefferson glared. It didn't seem to do much to Miguel - dammit, he should have brought a chair to stand on so he could do the dad-glare, it didn't work on somebody so tall.
"Miles, go downstairs and get changed before your mother catches you," Jefferson said. Miles nodded without saying anything and scrambled over the edge of the building to his bedroom, eager to get away from this confrontation.
"... I have a police scanner. I know you got shot."
Miguel's stiff postured relaxed with Miles gone - Jefferson got that, there was a certain pressure of trying to remain an Adult-Mode-Adult around a kid, "And Miles didn't."
"And you did!"
"I'm not hurt."
"You could have been!"
"Look - even if I'm ... Miles will be fine on his own too. He's good at this."
Jefferson grabbed his head with his hands and groaned, "That isn't what I'm talking about! I don't want you to get shot because I don't want you to get shot, kid! I'm worried about both of you!"
"...Why?" said Miguel.
"Because you - you - you're 27! BARELY 27, I know, because that orange lady mentioned you were born in September and it's November - and you have nothing in your kitchen but old yogurt and coffee! You have cat t-shirts and apparently pass out on your floor often enough that it's described as good-for-convalescing!"
Jefferson started a little when he realized Miguel had taken a step back, his posture oddly guarded and defensive, the dark lenses on the mask wide. ... He should calm down - he'd seen people react like this enough to know the yelling was probably triggering something in the kid's brain that was processing badly.
"Kid - Miguel," Jefferson conceded, "Do you ... uh, do you want me to get you a coffee or something? A granola bar? Rio made some Arroz con Pollo, I could put some in a tupperware -"
"That's ... not necessary, Mr. Morales," said Miguel, the fight-or-flight leaving his posture.
"I feel like you probably don't have any food -"
"I'm fine, Mr. Morales, I can -"
"I would really feel better if you'd please take some goddamn chicken."
"... Okay. Thank you," Miguel said, his voice suggesting he was at like a peak stress level. Jefferson could relate.
"Okay, just - wait here - uh, Layla? Orange lady? Don't let him open a portal while I'm, uh."
"Okay, Jefferson," LYLA said from Miguel's watch. Miguel glared down at it and Jefferson hustled downstairs. He gave silent thanks that Rio was working an overnight shift so he wouldn't need to explain why he was packing food up at 11pm.
"You can bring the container back, uh, next time you're here," Jefferson said, handing the container over.
"Sure. Thank you, Mr. Morales."
Miguel turned stiffly and opened a portal back to his home dimension.
"You can call me Je -" Jefferson called as the portal snapped shut.
Stupid goddamn kid.

Welcome Home - September Ch1
Eddie Munson x Reader, friends to lovers, slow burn
Also posted on ao3! This is part 1!
Summary: Reader has moved to a new city/state every few months since she was born. She shows up to Hawkins in '85 having to repeat her senior year after learning nothing last year due to changing schools 3 times.
Eddie is repeating his senior year as well, lucky for him. He meets reader in class two weeks into the year and is immediately drawn to her due to her I-don't-care attitude and her Metallica t-shirt.
The two hang out often, studying, drinking, smoking, and healing their respective traumas. But how long does reader have before her dad announces that they're packing up and leaving Hawkins forever, leaving Eddie and the new friends she's made behind forever?
Reader uses she/her pronouns but is non-binary. The term didn't exist in the 80s so she describes it as "I'm only vaguely a girl, you shouldn't really think of me as one."
Reader is AFAB, there will be references to anatomy (smut), but for the most part, she's not really "girly".
AU, the upside down doesn't exist, Eleven and Will aren't mentioned (sorry).
CW for this chapter: mentions of parents with substance abuse issues
AN: This is absolutely just self-insert for me but I really like it and maybe it will be relatable to a small number of people or just entertaining, I don't know. But thanks for reading either way!
I'm planning on each chapter being somewhere between a day to a week of in-story time. Some might be super long and others kinda short, I'm not sure. This is my very first work that I've ever written so I have no idea how its going to work. Each month will have its own chapters (all contained here in this one work) and the story will just kinda flow through the months that reader is in Hawkins. Bear with me, this all might change at some point haha. I have a lot of ideas though as this is literally just my maladaptive daydreams put to paper. Eddie makes my brain melt. Enjoy!
Walking out of the school office with your class schedule in your hand you sigh, taking in the new surroundings once again. This is the eighth high school you've been to in the past four years, and the second time you've been a senior in one of them. After moving three times last year and missing so much of your first senior year, you had to start from scratch in a new school, Hawkins High. Pretty boring to name a school after the city, but you've seen it done so many times that you don't give a shit anymore. Just as long as this is your last one.
The receptionist in the office had pointed you in the direction of your assigned locker and handed you a sticky note with the combination on it. Memorizing the numbers on the gross-yellow paper, you head in the direction she told you to go. 982, 983, 984, 985... 986. That was yours. You stop in front of it and rest your head on the door as you look down and turn the lock in the correct order. You had no faith that this year would be your last, you already accepted that if you couldn't finish high school on your second attempt, then you would just drop out and figure out what to do after that. School is fucking tiring.
The bell rang to signal change of classes and students began to flood the hall. Already missed the first period and study hall, off to a great start. As you pop the lock open and step back a little to open the door, a solid body slams into your side and a book goes sliding down the corridor.
"Hey, watch it freak!" The body yells at you.
You turn to look at who just walked into you. It was a girl with platinum blonde hair in a super high ponytail; a cheerleader uniform; and her tits on full display, absolutely breaking the dress code.
"Sorry, didn't realize you liked to walk with your eyes closed." You grumbled as you rolled your eyes and turned back to your locker, beginning to unload your binders from your bag. She walked into you , that was definitely not your fault.
"What?" She snapped. She took a few steps to the side so that she was right next to you continuing to stare at the side of your face, and at your Metallica shirt, and your ripped black jeans, and dirty shoes. She instantly clocked you as someone who was beneath her so she narrowed her eyes and gave a sickening smile. "Ohhhh... great, another freak to join the freakshow. Just watch yourself okay? And don't get dirt on my uniform." She accented the last line by wiping down the front of her skirt with her hands aggressively a few times before stepping away and bounding down the corridor with her group of friends who looked identical to her, ponytails swishing in unison as they walked. One of them stopped to pick up the book that was dropped and handed it back to who you assume was their leader. All five of them turned to sneer at you before continuing on their way.
"I fucking hate cheerleaders." You thought to yourself as you closed your locker and looked at your schedule again. Your second class was English. An easy enough class, after a bit of a rough start in the hall.
As you entered your classroom you made your way to the desk at the front where the teacher was sitting.
"Hi, I'm y/n. I'm new, I just moved here yesterday and I was told to introduce myself to my teachers when I got to class so... hi." You said quietly to your new English teacher.
"Well hi! I'm Ms. Davies, it's nice to meet you. I'll write your name into the class list. Can I see your schedule?" She seemed way too smiley and chipper for your liking, but at least she didn't seem like she was going to be a hard-ass.
You handed her your schedule and she nodded and confirmed that you were in the right class. She copied your name down on her attendance list and then stood up, handing back your schedule.
"Please don't-" before you could ask her not to, she began announcing your name and welcoming you to the class.
"We have a new student today! Y/fn. Everyone please be kind, she'll be a little bit behind as we've already gotten through two weeks of curriculum but I'm sure she'll catch up quickly!" Smiling, probably very proud of herself for embarrassing you, she turned to you and pointed to an empty pair of seats at the back of the class. "You can take a seat back there... I would say 'next to Mister Munson' but it seems that he won't be joining us again-" just as she said that, a boy with long, curly, brown hair, a denim jacket adorned with pins and patches, ripped jeans, and absolutely no school supplies walked into the class. "Well, never mind. Here he is." She said, a little surprised by this guy's sudden appearance.
Keeping your head down to avoid the stares that you were most certainly receiving, you made your way to the back of the class and sat down in one of the seats Ms. Davies had pointed to.
The long haired boy's eyes hadn't left you since he walked through the door. He also made his way to his seat and sat down just slightly after you. "Metallica fan eh?" He said, nodding to the t-shirt you were wearing.
"Yeah." You said, a little more blunt than you meant for it to sound. "One of my favorites." You added, noting that most of the decor on his vest were metal bands.
"You've got good taste." He crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair, clearly not intending to pay attention to the class.
"Thank you." You said, honestly. "You seem to as well," pointing at one of his pins, you said "Judas Priest is pretty good too."
The boy beamed. He was honestly really cute, especially when he smiled and his dimples were on full display. He squeezed his crossed arms tighter and wiggled a little, obviously a little giddy, and leaned over to you a bit "I like you. I think I'm going to annoy you for the rest of the year." He said with a sort-of-joking-sort-of-not tone.
You let out a soft laugh and smiled back at him. "Sounds good." You replied, somewhat sarcastically, though you also weren't going to say no to gaining a friend immediately. Especially one who seemed to have the same taste as you.
He extended one of his hands toward you, intending for you to shake it. "My name’s Eddie." He introduced himself smoothly, his name sounded so royal leaving his tongue.
"I'm y/n." You replied, shaking his hand gently. His fingertips were a little rough, he probably played guitar. "I guess you missed when my name was announced to the world by Ms. Davies up there." You let go of his hand and gestured lightly up to the front of the room where Ms. Davies was writing something on the board. Something you're already not learning.
"I did miss that, unfortunately. I'm sure it wasn’t embarrassing at all and everyone was all 'hi y/n! Welcome to Hawkins High! We hope you have a wonderful time here! Go Tigers!'" He raised the pitch of his voice when he imitated the students, making you laugh a little harder than before.
"That's absolutely horrifying! You make them sound like a cult! I'm glad they didn't say that to me, I think I would've walked right out the door and never came back!"
"I think anyone would!" He chuckled. He looked very pleased with himself that he made you laugh as he leaned back in his chair, arms crossed again, but still smiling wide.
As the two of you settled into comfortable silence, you took your notebook out of your bag and attempted to take notes on… MooBath ? With the fantastic mixture of Ms. Davies’ terrible writing, your terrible eyesight, and your lack of glasses, the board at the front of the room was nearly unreadable from where you were sitting. Squinting your eyes and leaning forward you could make out that it was actually MacBeth that she was teaching, not something a cow would say while getting cleaned.
“Forgot your glasses at home?” Eddie asked softly.
“No, I don't have any. Can't afford them.” You said simply, trying not to make a big deal over the fact that your parents didn't care enough about you to spend less money on their addictions so they could actually take care of their child.
“Oh. Well that sucks. You should sit closer to the front then.” He said, like it wasn't the most obvious solution.
You laughed lightly, “I would've but this was the only seat open and I doubt anyone would be kind enough to move just for me.” You looked back at him, he looked very comfortable leaning back in his chair, his eyes still fixed on you.
“Don't ask ‘em then. Just sit. We don't have assigned seating so you can sit wherever you want.” He shrugged and leaned forward, putting his crossed arms on the desk. “Plus it would be fun to see the cheerleaders whine about not getting their way.” A somewhat devious smile spread across his face.
“We'll see.” You said with a small smile, turning your attention back to the teacher. You decided that after missing the first half of the lesson you should at least try to take notes from just her voice alone. It was a struggle, she talked very fast and went on plenty of tangents that didn't have much to do with the subject matter. By the end of the class, you had about a page and a half of notes that you were only 60% confident in being correct and a bit of a headache from squinting at the board.
The bell finally rang while Ms. Davies was mid-sentence. It startled her a bit but she dismissed you all and wished everyone a good rest of the day. On to lunch!
As you packed up your things and exited the classroom, Eddie stuck right by you chattering away. “Hey you should come sit with me and my friends for lunch! You'll fit right in! They're metal fans too!” He seemed to have a ton more energy than he did in class for some reason, or maybe he was quiet on purpose so that you could try to take notes.
Stopping at your locker to exchange your books for your lunch, you smiled at him “Okay, I'd love to.” Why not? Worst that could happen is they hate you and you spend your time at another school completely alone. Best case? You gain some friends for a bit, until you have to pack up and move to another town in a month or two.
You could feel that Eddie was practically vibrating as he led you to the cafeteria, eager to introduce you to his friends. He kept his hand on your shoulder like he was afraid you'd run away or get lost on the short journey. Approaching the long lunch table he waved his hand toward a few younger boys on the left, probably freshmen or juniors, and ordered them to “Scoot!”. They looked at him like he asked them to sacrifice themselves. “I said scoot!” He repeated, now using both hands to usher them all down one seat.
“Well, you don't have to-” you tried to stop the disruption of their natural seating but Eddie just waved at you stating “They're fine. Have a seat!” He beamed once again when you took your seat, every single boy at the table staring at you like you'd just appeared out of thin air.
“Friends, this is y/n.” Eddie gestured to you like he was unveiling a masterpiece at a museum. The rest of the table greeted you with tentative “Hi.”s. One guy in a leather jacket, on the opposite side of the table asked “You managed to bring a girl to our table? How'd you do that man?”
You chuckled a little “Well, I'm only vaguely a girl, you shouldn't really think of me as one if that makes you more comfortable. You can call me whatever you want, honestly. I’ve heard it all. But I wouldn't be caught dead hanging out with cheerleaders and doing my makeup and giggling and shit. I'm not into all that girly stuff. But uh… anyway… hi.” You gave a little wave and looked at everyone around the table. Most of the older guys looked similar to Eddie in terms of clothing style. They looked pretty metal and some of them had jackets like Eddie. The younger boys were a little more toned down but they seemed to fit in really well with the general vibe of the table.
Eddie smiled at you as he pulled up a chair and sat at the head of the table, like a king, you thought. “y/n here, is a new kid. Just moved in from…” He looked to you to finish his sentence for him.
“I don't even know, I only lived there for three months. Somewhere in south Indiana. Started with a B I think?” you shrugged. You genuinely couldn't remember the name, and the city itself was already a blur in your memory, as with most of the cities you've lived in.
“Bloomington?” one of the boys to your left asked. He had very curly hair tucked up into a hat that said Thinking Cap .
“Yeah, sure, that sounds right.” You replied, opening your lunch bag and taking out the sandwich you made this morning. “Pretty boring place if you ask me.”
“Hey, wait, are you the one that just moved next door to me?” Another boy to your left asked. This one had shoulder length black hair and bangs, it kind of seemed like he was trying to look like Eddie if you were being honest.
“Probably? I just got here, dude. I don't even know my own address, let alone yours!” You laughed, trying not to sound mean, but wanting to get the message across that you don't know anyone or anything in this town. You took a bite out of your sandwich and looked towards Eddie, who was once again leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed, looking at you.
Eddie laughed and adjusted his sitting position so that he was leaning back just a little bit more, legs spread apart like he owned the place. “She’s new, like I said. But I think she fits in with us already. An outcast, a metal head, possibly a freak like yours truly.” He meant “freak” in the same way that the cheerleader had meant it when she walked into you at your locker; a person who doesn't conform to the normie bullshit and instead proudly displays their true self to the world.… that's probably how he meant it, you think.
“I appreciate that, Eddie.” you said, smiling at him. Something in his eyes flashed as you said his name, fear? Arousal? Just simple appreciation? You weren't sure.
The rest of the table appeared to accept that you were part of the group immediately. It seemed that Eddie was their leader and they would follow his every word. Again, like he was a king. Unlike other “kings” you had met, Eddie actually seemed to take pride in being a leader; he accepted the responsibility and he cared about his “subjects” a huge amount. He certainly had power, but his friends respected him and his ideas. It felt very fair.
“So what do you guys do in this town?” You asked between bites of your sandwich. “Sex, drugs, alcohol and loud music?” You were only half joking with that suggestion, they were the main things most people did in every place you've been to, but you were looking for more of a “places to go” answer.
“I mean, you're pretty spot on.” The guy right across the table piped up. He had sort of poofy hair and a plaid vest that had a bunch of pins on it. “We’re in a band so… we’re the loud music bit.” He gestured to Eddie and the two other guys on his side of the table.
“Woah really?” You were honestly a little excited about this information. “I assume a metal band, yeah?”
“Duhhhhh!” Eddie droned, rolling his eyes dramatically. “Nothing else is worth playing.”
“Well, slow down there cowboy.” you laughed, “Other music is good too! Doesn't all have to be sick guitar solos and screaming your lungs out. Sometimes it's nice to chill out to some Elvis.”
“Oh god.” Eddie suddenly looked scared and sick as he stared directly at you. “I was wrong… you're secretly… a normie!” He dramatically flailed his arms and pretended to pass out, like the shock of your extended music taste had killed him. The whole table laughed at him, you included. The sheer drama of this man was keeping you hooked, you were already having fun and you had only just met him. He was comfortable to be around though, like you’d known him since childhood. When he opened his eyes and sat up, you were the first thing he looked at, your smiling face, laughing at his little act.
“You should come watch us play some time!” The guy in the plaid vest offered.
Pulling your eyes away from Eddie, you answered, “I’d love to! Where do you play?” You absolutely would love to see them play! You just hope that they’re some kind of good.
“Every Tuesday at a bar called The Hideout. It's a little far from here.”
“Oh… well I don't have a car, anyone I could hitch a ride with?” You asked, looking around the table. The younger kids probably didn't have cars either but maybe they had other friends who went to see the band play.
“We can drive you.” Eddie answered quickly. “You can be our first groupie.” You think you saw him wink at you.
“Hold on, really? You never offer rides to non-band members. Something about the sanctity of the van or something?” Plaid vest looked shocked at Eddie’s immediate offer.
“Yeah, well, I've made an exception.” Eddie waved his hand and his words were accepted.
“Really, you don't have to if that's not your thing. I can find my own way there some time, or I'll watch you play someplace else. No biggie. Don't make exceptions for me, I'm not special.” You pleaded. You really didn't want to just force your way into their group, it could end badly if you pissed people off. You could handle being alone or kicked out but you wouldn't be able to handle being the reason the band or the friend group broke up.
“No, really, it's fine. If we bring you along then you'll be forced to listen to our whole set and then maybe we'll finally have a fan!” Eddie explained. “We play tonight if you want to come?”
Suddenly feeling a bit overwhelmed, you pulled away, “I… can’t tonight. I have a lot of unpacking to do. I still have to find all my clothes.” You laughed a little uncomfortably. “Next time though, yeah?”
Eddie looked a little saddened by that, but understanding nonetheless. “That's okay!” He reassured, “Next time.” He gave a warm smile to let you know he wasn't trying to pressure you.
“We- we also have a DnD club!” Thinking Cap kid said excitedly.
At this, your eyes brightened. You'd played DnD a few times at different schools, they always ended on cliffhangers though, because you left before the campaign could really get going. “Really!?” You asked. “That's so cool!”
Everyone at the table got excited then; asking you if you were serious, what kind of character you played, if you've ever DM'd, just question after question, none of them getting answered. You laughed as the boys bombarded you with queries and Eddie progressively got more and more annoyed with them.
“SHUT UP! SHUT UP!” He yelled, silencing the table immediately, and a few others next to yours. He was standing now and he turned to you, “You're lying right? There's no way you're actually into DnD.” He looked a little hesitant waiting for your answer. Hopeful, maybe, that you were telling the truth.
“No, I'm not lying! Honestly, I've played a few times but none of the campaigns I've been a part of have gotten anywhere because I moved before we could get to the good stuff.” You explained.
“Ho-ly-shit!” Eddie said, emphasizing each syllable. “You're perfect. You're actually perfect. Sent from heaven, we've gained an angel, boys!” He raised his arms to the air like he was praising a God, the table roared with excitement again. Then he dropped his hands down onto the table with a bang! Making you all jump a little.
Suddenly very serious, he leaned into his hands, looming over you slightly and asked “What's your class and level?”
Realizing he was quizzing you, or maybe this was a hazing? You answered immediately, “I play a Half-Elf Paladin named Sebastian. With my limited amount of play time I've managed to eke him up to level 5.” proud of your answer you lifted your chin up to Eddie, showing him you weren't lying and you definitely knew your shit.
The table was silent again, watching the two of you battle. “Backstory?” He questioned.
“Sebastian was abducted by a group of thieves when he was 15. He spent 20 years under their command, being the muscle to their brains. One night, the thieves’ camp was raided and Sebastian joined the raiders’ side, killing the people who took him hostage. Now, he's sworn an oath to kill or punish every thief or criminal who holds prisoners or slaves captive. He’s also searching for his lost parents that he was ripped away from.” You held eye contact with him the whole time you told your story. Your character's backstory was something you were very proud of and you weren't going to let him make a fool of you.
Eddie leaned back away from you, sitting comfortably in his chair again. “Not bad.” he praised. “I'm thoroughly impressed. I guess we can add ‘nerd’ to your list of qualities that make you fit in here.”
You smiled at him, a warm feeling in your chest growing as you felt the validation from him. “Thank you. I wear that title with pride.”
“Okay! So she's joining us right!? This is fricken awesome!” Thinking Cap shook his clenched hands in front of him in excitement.
Still staring at Eddie, you raised an eyebrow to him, questioning if he wanted you to join or not.
“That's up to her.” He stated. “I think it's clear that the invitation is open.”
Glancing at the table full of smiling guys, all of them on the edge of their seat, waiting for your answer, you simply said, “Then I accept.”
The table roared a final time and you received a few pats on the back and a few “Welcome to hellfire!”s. Meanwhile, Eddie was grinning from ear to ear, trying to play down his excitement, but you could see the way he squeezed his crossed arms together, the same way he did when you talked about music in class. He was definitely happy that you said yes.
When the excitement finally died down and everyone settled into a lighter conversation, Eddie scooted his chair closer to you and whispered somewhat close to your ear. “If we're too much for you, you can tell us to back off. I didn't mean to bombard you with so much shit on your first day. You just seem really cool, and that's rare around here, so I wanted you to have some equally cool friends.”
Turning your head slightly to look at him, you noticed how comfortable he was with being so close to you. And how comfortable you were with it as well. “I'm enjoying it actually,” you whispered back. “I've never felt this welcome before.”
“Good.” Was all he said as he moved away from you, showing off his dimples again with a smile.
You finished your lunch while listening to the multiple conversations happening around the table. Two boys were bickering, three were talking about guitar solos, and Eddie and Plaid Vest were discussing something very quietly. You thought to yourself “Okay, I definitely think like it here for once.”
“Hey, lunch is almost over,” Plaid Vest announced, looking to you. “What class do you have next?”
Reaching into your back pocket, you pulled out your schedule. “Ummm… History, with O'Donall.”
“NO WAY!” Eddie yelled from right beside you, startling you a bit. “So do I! Let me see your schedule!”
You handed the paper over to Eddie and both he and Plaid Vest (you really should have asked everyone’s name) looked over every class. “None of those are with me, unfortunately.” Plaid Vest said, slightly disappointed. The end-of-lunch bell rang and students began packing up their lunches, returning their trays, and leaving the cafeteria. “I'll see you later tho!” He waved at you with a genuine smile and left the cafeteria.
“You’ll never fucking believe this, but we have every single class together!” Eddie said excitedly.
“No way.” You said flatly, you did not believe that one bit. The rest of the table started packing up their things as well and heading out. Everyone gave you a polite “bye” on their way out.
“I'm serious! Well, except for first period, but the rest of today we do! I’d show you my own schedule but it's in my locker.” Eddie insisted. He stood up as you did and kept to your side as you made your way back to your locker to gather your things.
“So what you're saying is: I'm never going to get rid of you?” You joked, opening up your locker.
“Oh absolutely!” Eddie said with a devilish grin on his face. “Guess you and I have to be friends forever now.”
“Well… forever for me might only be a couple months before I move again, but I think I can handle you for that long.” You teased, pulling the last of your class stuff out of your locker and shutting it.
“You're going to move again? You just got here.” Eddie asked. You both started down the hall towards history class, Eddie leading the way.
“Well, I've moved probably near fifty times in my eighteen years of life, so… it's not unlikely that I'll move again.”
“FIFTY!?” Eddie yelled
“Calm down,” you laughed at his sudden outburst, that number usually surprises people. “Yeah something like that. Makes it hard to keep friends.” You said, sounding a lot sadder than you meant to.
“That fucking blows. Why do you move so much?” Eddie was genuinely curious about you, he was leaning in and listening to your every word.
“You'd have to ask my dad. He pisses off a lot of people and then we’re forced to skip town before he gets his ass beat.” You explained. “He's not in trouble with the cops or anything, just like… landlords, neighbors, bar owners, liquor store employees… pissed off a mayor once too.” God your dad’s a mess.
“Wow, what an asshole.” He stepped through the doorway of your history class and held his arm out in front of him, waving you through like you were royalty. It made you laugh, and made other people stare.
“You're telling me.” You said, exaggerated. You walked past Eddie and quickly made your way to the teacher at the head of the room, wanting to introduce yourself quickly this time so that there weren't so many students in the room for her to announce your presence to.
This teacher, once again, confirmed that this was the right class and welcomed you to Hawkins High. As she finished writing your name on the attendance sheet, a shrill voice let out an exasperated “UGH!” from behind you.
“This is my seat, you freak! Go find a trash can to sit in, or better yet! Go jump off a bridge!” The same blonde haired cheerleader who had smashed into you in the hall was currently screaming at Eddie, who was sitting at a pair of desks in the third row with his feet on the table, not looking at her at all.
“Miss Blackwell! That is enough! None of these seats belong to anyone! Please find another desk to sit in. Mister Munson has already chosen that one.” Ms. O'Donall stated, sternly. She then sighed and added, “And thank you for joining us today, mister Munson.” sounding like she was annoyed that he showed up at all.
The cheerleader and her friend stomped away from Eddie who was now smiling at you, very proud of himself. They sat down at a different pair of desks which caused another two students who had just walked in, to be upset and move back a row, they caused another two to move, and another, and another, and another. Eddie had just disrupted almost every student’s seating habit single-handedly.
“What are you doing?” you whispered to Eddie as you took your seat next to him. “You really wanted to hear the cheerleaders whine huh?”
“Of course! It sounded like fun when I suggested it, and I didn’t think you would do it, so I did.” He took his feet off the desk in front of him and leaned toward you so only you could hear him. “Plus, I figured this was a good spot, you can see the board from here right?”
Did he really just force some cheerleaders to move seats just so that you wouldn't have to sit at the back of the room and squint to see the board? “Eddie!” You whispered, scolding him a bit. “You did not just do that so I could see the board.” You were looking him directly in the eyes, searching for some other explanation than kindness towards you, someone he just met.
Eddie just shrugged his shoulders with a big smile on his face and leaned back in his chair, assuming the same position as he seemed to always do, arms crossed, legs spread.
You continued to stare at him, bewildered that someone would do that for you. A loud voice pulled you away though, “Miss y/ln. I don't think today's lesson is on mister Munson’s forehead, so could you face the board where it actually is, please?” Ms. O’Donall, who you now know will be a hard-ass, was looking directly at you, lips pursed together. “Sorry.” you said quietly, and turned to face her. She nodded sharply and went back to the lesson. You heard a few giggles from behind you, probably the cheerleaders.
You took out your notebook and began copying the notes Ms. O'Donall was writing on the board, trying your hardest to not look at Eddie. Something in your head kept wanting to stare at him, to get closer to him, to really make a friend this time around. But you knew if you did that, it would end in heartbreak when you were dragged off to another city with your parents. So you pushed it all down. Hanging out with the boys won't be so bad, there's no harm in having fun, you just won't let yourself get too attached to them and the break will be clean. Hopefully.
The rest of the day went by smoothly. You managed to get some notes from Ms. O'Donall on the two weeks that you missed so you wouldn't be so behind. And your last class of the day was biology, probably the only class that you learned anything in during all of last year, so it felt like more of a review than new information. Eddie chose to sit you near the front in biology as well, though no one yelled at him in that class, which was honestly surprising.
When the final bell rang, Eddie followed you once again to your locker. “How did you understand a single thing that Mr. Grinnell said?”
“I've been through it before. This is my second senior year. Fuck every other class, but bio? That's my shit. Well, and art, but that doesn't count.” You explained, pulling your jacket and backpack from your locker.
“I dunno, I've been through it before too, but I think it made even less sense this time around.” He rubbed his forehead like thinking made his brain hurt.
You closed your locker and placed your hand on his shoulder. “If you need some help, I don't mind. After all you've done for me so far, I think I owe you something. We can help each other finally finish our senior years. Well… help each other for as long as I'm here.”
Eddie pulled his hand away from his face and looked up at you. “You serious? Because I think I could really use the help. I'm dumb as shit so it might be a challenge, but I'm not gonna say no if it means we get to hang out.” He seemed to be excited about your offer.
“Yeah, I'm absolutely serious. Gives me a reason to stay away from my house and my parents.” You really hated sitting around the house with your dad who was always drunk and mad, and your mom who was always high and stupid. “But not tonight though, I really do have to find my clothes or else I'll be showing up to school tomorrow in this exact outfit. Plus, you have a gig to get to.” You smiled at him warmly, making sure he knew that you weren't just being nice for the sake of it. You really did like the idea of having someone to keep you on track in school, and you had no problem with helping him do the same.
“Deal!” He excitedly accepted and stuck out his hand for you to shake.
You took his hand and gave it a firm shake. “No taking that back now, we've made a deal!” You said, pointing at him.
He grinned. “Scout's honor!” he swore, raising his hand to place it over his heart, his other hand still holding yours.
The two of you made your way outside, ready to head home. “Need a ride?” Eddie offered.
“No, that's okay, I'll walk.” You politely declined.
“Are you sure? If you live near Wheeler, that's a pretty far walk!” Wheeler must be the kid you moved in next to. The one with black hair that looked like Eddie’s.
“Honestly, it's not that bad of a walk. I made it to school that way.” Granted, you were late two periods, but that wasn't entirely your fault. You didn't have your alarm clock unpacked yet and you woke up later than you meant to. “It's pretty straightforward. Plus, it's how I usually learn the city. If I get lost, I'll just wander till I find my way back.”
Eddie looked a little worried for a moment so you patted him on the shoulder and reassured him, “I'll be fine. Promise. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah!?”
He hesitated for a moment but you could see him decide against arguing with you. “Alright then, yeah. See you tomorrow, y/n.” He said, nodding and smiling.
“Bye, Eddie.” You gave him a big smile and a little wave and headed off in the direction of your new house.
The walk home took about 20 minutes, plenty of time to sort out your head and take note of all that had happened in the day. You made six friends in one day, definitely a new record for you! You joined a DnD party, possibly became a groupie, pissed off some cheerleaders, and gained a study buddy. There's a good chance that this town wasn't going to be the worst you've ever stayed in. But the looming question of “just how long will this last?” would never leave your mind.
