Ok but like hear me out.

Steve Harrington being deaf due to the amount of head trauma he has suffered over the years meaning now he has to navigate a world he once knew fully in silence and he never brought it up until it was too late cause he didn’t want to burden everyone in the group with how he can’t really hear that well and it’s getting progressively worse. But here he is now fully deaf and trying his hardest to live a normal life and yes he is finally doing it getting better at reading lips, he becomes fluent in ASL even though no one else in the group is. And then Eddie Munson comes along all loud gestures and enthusiasm and that’s what attracts Steve to him at first because when Eddie is near, talking in the group he never feels like he’s missing out on things due to his lack of hearing because eddies gestures and bravado basically make up for his lack of hearing and it feels amazing for Steve to feel that included in a group conversation and then he finds out Eddie is fluent in ASL cause of course if anyone in Hawkins would be fluent in ASL it’s Eddie Munson the man that surprises basically everyone he meets and Steve just fucking falls in love straight aways when the first one on one conversation Eddie and Steve have is fully in ASL. idk dude this is half baked 4am thought but it’s a thought no less However steddie thoughts aside a deaf Steve Harrington can be something so personal

No one is saying that trans-identified people cannot or should not find love with a romantic partner.

We are just saying that same-sex attraction is REAL, and that lesbian and bi women‘s same-sex attraction and boundaries NEED to be respected. And the meaning of homosexuality (exclusive same-SEX attraction) should not be taken away.

Women can say "NO" at any point, for any reason. Women do NOT owe anyone romantic or sexual intimacy, under zero circumstances. And when a woman simply doesn’t like male genitalia, or male anatomy as a whole, that‘s not a "preference", "fetishism" or "bigotry", it‘s her sexual orientation and her natural right.

My thoughts on "LGB drop the TQ+"

As a bisexual woman, I fully support the LGB drop the TQ+ movement. Being lesbian, gay and bisexual is rooted in biology. If you're a lesbian, you're a female attracted to other females, if you're gay, you're a male attracted to other males and if you're bisexual then you're attracted to both males and females. And what is TQ+ about? TQ+ is about identity, self-expression and labels. The definitions are loose, too vast and fluid. Nothing is clear, nothing is simple, but everything is offensive. Our generation is so deep in an identity crisis and self-hate that they need a thousand labels and definitions to feel themselves. They don't focus on who they are as a person. In the 80s and 90s when teenagers were figuring out who they are and looking for an identity, they joined subcultures. Also, in that time all gays and lesbians and bisexuals were gender non-conforming and it didn't change their identity. The TQ+ is still growing, teenagers nowadays need labels to feel valid, heard and accepted, but it only confuses them more and instead of helping them find themselves. I know that, because I've been there, done that. A year ago I identified as a fem-aligned non-binary, abrosexual person. Now, when I find the root of my problems and self-hate? I realized that I'm just a bisexual woman. And I feel a lot better like this.

People only care about character's implied sexualities if they're implied to be lesbian / gay . As soon as a character is implied to be bisexual (e.g. explicitly attracted to / involved with both men and women) suddenly they're "lesbian / gay with comphet" .... what if I killed you with a rock 🩷

I want to remind everyone, it is a huge win when a formerly portrayed heterosexual character is confirmed as lesbian. That’s amazing. The best example I can think of is She-Ra and Catra, who were formerly seen as straight in the original She-Ra show. I was so happy to see all the “we won!!” comments about Catra and Adora being canon lesbians.

That no longer applies when the character is bisexual. You don’t take a bi character and switch them over to lesbian. That “we won!!” statement, it just became of a statement of biphobia in that context.

You didn’t “win” anything. This isn’t about collecting as many lesbian characters as you can; it’s about film and literally finally having more queer characters. And guess what? Bisexuality is also queer! It’s not only a win when the character is gay/lesbian! We all won!

If a bisexual character is having their identity erased and your first instinct is to say, “we won!” you are not helping queer representation. In fact, you are actively harming queer representation.

Just because Lexa died doesn’t mean Clexa wasn’t endgame. You don’t just “move on” from your soulmate, and Clarke loved her every second of every minute of every day for those 131 years, and most likely until the day she died. And I don’t doubt for a second that if the roles were reversed that Lexa would’ve been any different. They were made for each other.

The show should’ve ended differently. Douchenberg should’ve gotten over himself and sent us off on a good note. I 100% believe Alycia would’ve been willing to do that. Instead we have another file for the “bury your gays” portfolio. Lexa had so much potential. Such a shame…
