The grand opening to my twenties. I literally waited my whole life for this and the fact that everything materialized as perfectly as it did was surreal
Why was my birthday amazing? AGAIN? Somehow this year topped last year and I guess I have to acquiesce to this lifestyle lol. Finally got my Airbnb cut up. Finally got the massage I’ve been wanting (and needing.. for 3 years) at a breathtaking facility called The Well New York. And most of all I finally cut the ribbon on my twenties. Blessings on blessings. Nothing less than I deserve 🙏🏾 Thank you, God!
Also, my Leo Venus showed it’s ass and I’ve learned not to fight the ritz anymore. I’m leaning in lol

Update: 07/28/22
I remember writing that post lol. I was (on the most minuscule level) stressing but I did what had to be done (per usual). Clap at me, immediately!
The only parents she has ever known are her own and the only time being adopted has ever bothered her was when Amanda St. James made fun of her for it in the third grade. But Robin told her that at least her parents wanted her and were not just stuck with her like Amanda’s parents, “And maybe that’s why your Mom and Dad are so unhappy all the time.”
She got in trouble for making Amanda cry and went back to never thinking about her birthparents. She had no interest in knowing anything about them and it stayed like that until she turned sixteen.
On her sixteenth birthday, her mom gave her a letter written to her by her birthmother. Robin doesn’t read it immediately, but eventually gives in to her own curiosity. She reads it over twice before her mind snags on a sentence, ‘I wanted to give you and your brother a better life…’ … you and your brother…. You and your brother…. You and-
“I have a brother.”
This eats at Robin, especially after her dad’s call to the adoption agency goes nowhere. It eats at her so much that she finally gives in – Fred Benson swears up and down that Nancy Wheeler is the best investigator on the school paper – and asks for help.
Nancy says yes and is maybe a little too invested in finding the truth, but honestly, Robin is having fun and she wants to find her apparent twin. She wants to know about his life. Settle the whole nurture over nature thing.
They hit a lot of walls, a lot of dead ends. They break a few rules and maybe commit a felony. They enlist Jonathan Byers to help and even Eddie Munson at one point because he knows how to pick locks, and it’s all for nothing.
One day when they have everything they’ve found spread out across the Wheeler’s dining room table, Steve comes over to pick up Dustin. He looks down at the whole mess and points at her birth certificate like, “Hey, we were born on the same day.”
Everyone pretending to forget James' birthday so they can throw him a surprise party, wanting it to be really fun and thinking he'll love it
They clearly don't think it through bc they don't know enough about James' compartmentalisation method when it comes to emotions so they don't consider how he'll feel and respond to the prank
And they all think that he knows it's a plan and is expecting the surprise party but he doesn't know that and just feels forgotten and stupid. He tries to suck it up all day but ends up letting it all out to Regulus later on because he couldn't keep hiding his emotions to such a high level. The second Reg asked if he was okay he broke
They were all too caught up in excitement to notice how reserved he'd become and James was too worried and kind to say anything because he doesn't want to ruin his friends' good moods
Regulus loses his shit becuae he suspects that it was just a joke or plan but he's stil so angry at them for not thinking about how James would feel and not noticing how he responded
The surprise party happens later and James cries again (which is really strange for him) because he really wasn't expecting it. That's when Marlene, Peter, and Sirius really seem to realise what had happened. Remus and Lily had some suspicions before but didn't voice them. Everyone else is just confused.
Some part of James is glad that his and Reg's relationship is secret because it stopped Reg from storming up to them earlier on and ripping them a new one over it when James knew their intentions were nothing but pure. But part of him is a little sad that the only person who truly noticed something was wrong that day wasn't able to attend the party because nobody knew about him.
