Summary:

Snapetober Day 9: Invention

This is a very roundabout interpretation of this prompt lol. I was inspired by the song “What’s the Ugliest Part of Your Body?” by the Mothers of Invention, which would totally go on the soundtrack of the Marauders era TV show that exists in my head. I imagine this song plays as young Sev stares daggers at the Marauders in class while they laugh and whisper conspiratorially. I love the 60s feel and how sneering and pissed off the lyrics are, contrasted with the sweet doo-wop instrumental. Additionally, the rest of the song is about how prejudice gets passed down, which connects to both the Marauders bullying Snape and Snape’s death eater sympathies…!
