Edit: I wrote this on January 8, but kept it my drafts to avoid spoilers for Have Some Empathy, Dear.
Got my first migraine of the year recently and it gave me the idea to write some headcanons down for the boys that I have written for and plan on posting/have posted for. Some of these are more specific than others and generally take place in their respective stories if that makes sense.
The Ones You've Met
My UF!Papyrus aka Edge:
He got home to find you sitting at the kitchen table with your head in your hands. He realizes there's something wrong immediately and when you tell him you're suffering from a migraine, he wants to help.
Only problem is he isn't sure what to do exactly. He knows how bad migraines can be as he's both experienced them and helped his brother deal with them firsthand. He just doesn't know where to start to help you, especially if you're a human as your anatomy is far different from his own.
Fortunately for you, he knows healing magic and is quite talented. You're in good hands with him, literally. (He might even be mildly amused if you point that out.) Depending on the severity of your migraine, his magic may not be able to fully make the pain go away, but it's enough of a relief to make a difference.
He'll offer whatever else he can afterwards like pain meds, tea, a hot bean bag or an ice pack if you prefer, but most importantly, he'll offer cuddles. He doesn't get a ton of down time in general but he's quite happy to just lay on the couch or in bed and hold you close until you do feel better.
My Horror Sans aka Baston:
Your seasonal allergies were acting up and in combination with probably smacking your head recently, you ended up with a migraine. Baston only needed to take a look at you to determine that you were in pain and he was by your side instantly.
He knows loads of homemade pain relief treatments from personal experience and what his brother, Hemlock, has studied. He'll get you situated with a mug of some strong but surprisingly not awful tasting herbal tea in no time. He'll probably even let you lay down in his own bed for a while if you're over at his place.
If you fall asleep, you'll probably wake up to him sitting next to you, gently playing with your hair. If you're still not feeling 100%, he'll try something else but if he isn't needed elsewhere, he'll be staying nearby for a while, just in case.
My Post-Echotale G!Sans aka G:
He travels a lot so it was likely sheer coincidence that he found you while you were suffering from a migraine. Maybe he had to actually go to your house as you weren't at any of your other meeting spots. He's quick to grow serious when he sees how bad you feel too.
While he's often a bit standoffish or casually flirty, G is also surprisingly tender when he wants to be. He'll check if you've already taken pain meds yet and help with that if you want to. Beyond that, he isn't sure what else he can do for you.
Unless you give him ideas, he'll probably just resort to trying to make you comfortable and relaxed. You are getting wrapped up in a blanket burrito and he will hold you as close as you want for however long it takes for your migraine to go away. He'll even lightly massage your head and gently play with your hair until you fall asleep.
He'll likely still be there when you eventually wake up too. You might even catch him in a contemplative mood before he realizes you woke up. He spends a good deal of time thinking about the past and the future which can put him in slightly negative moods, but he's quick to hide this around others. He's willing to talk if you're feeling up to it at least, although you'll have to convince him that you're feeling fine again first.
Lord Nightmare:
He knew something was bothering you from across the castle as he could feel your negative emotions brought on by the intense pain. He found you tossing and turning in your bed as you couldn't find a comfortable position with how bad your migraine was.
He doesn't have a lot of experience actually caring for people but he cares a lot for you and hates seeing you in pain like this. He always spares no expense when you're sick or injured and now is no different. He'll personally go get medication to relieve your pain and tell the boys to leave you alone for the rest of the day.
He'll stay by your side while you take your medication and if you don't mind, he'll gladly siphon off the negative emotions you're experiencing and calm you down with his magic. He'll cuddle you even if you aren't really in the mood as he just wants you to feel better and can't do much more in the moment. The plus side is that his tentacles are soft and cool to the touch which is rather soothing for your poor head.
You aren't leaving your room until he's positive (heh) you're feeling better. Even if you insist otherwise, he'll keep snuggling you just to make sure you'll be okay. He means well of course, but he's also rather possessive of you and since the boys can't bother you right now, he might as well give you as much affection as he can. (The boys will likely be desperate to find out if you're alright once you are released so you're going to be doted on for a while afterwards.)
Note from Trash: I see Lord Nightmare as very similar to the Nightmare I wrote for "Have Some Empathy, Dear" so they'd likely act the same or similarly.
Horror Sans aka Axe:
You'd gotten home from work late as you'd had to stay until you'd finished up one final report that couldn't possibly wait until Monday. Axe had been incredibly worried something happened to you and was just about to go look for you himself when you returned. He knows you're not doing well before you even tell him and practically goes into mother hen mode.
If you can stomach food, he's making you something easy to consume that's so packed with healing magic, you'll almost be swimming in it. He'll also make you a tea and all but insist you go relax while waiting. He can't use much magic anymore but he can make great food at least so that's what he'll do.
He's had quite a bit of experience dealing with pain as he deals with it on a near daily basis. It especially hurts to see someone he counts as a friend, let alone you, in pain. He keeps a level head though and will do anything to help ease your pain.
He'll stay with you as long as physically possible just so that he can reassure you, and himself, that you'll be okay. He likes touching your hair and skin, although he is a bit worried he'll hurt you worse so he won't be giving you a massage. He will play with your hair though and stroke your scalp if you're okay with that.
Murder Sans aka Dust:
He was probably already dealing with a headache today (literal or metaphorical in the form of Killer lol) before he teleported to your place for a break. He can sympathize with your pain but he's not great at the whole caring thing.
You'll probably have to be Pain Pals together for a while, which isn't so bad actually once you get some medication or get comfy. Dust is a great cuddler although he isn't always in the mood. Lucky for you, he happens to like it when you touch him on his bad days.
He'll stay overnight if you let him and may even be there the next morning when you have to leave for work. You'll probably have to untangle yourself from his koala hug though, which could take awhile. Interestingly, he's even more mellow than usual in times like these, although he won't admit that your gentleness and affection are almost like drugs to him.
Killer Sans aka Killer:
He's also very bad at the whole empathy thing. He showed up and made loud noises while doing so until you angrily told him to shut up. He doesn't take your pain seriously at first and very likely finds it hilarious, as pain often is for him (usually other's pain though).
Once he realizes you aren't any fun in this state, he grows deathly serious though. He'll bring the entire contents of your medicine cabinet to you and steal all the blankets in your home just so he can build a blanket fort around your couch. He says little while setting everything up which is a little scary until he flashes you his trademark smile and forces you onto the couch if you aren't there already.
Unfortunately, he isn't going to leave you alone. Expect to be spooned and whispered to incessantly until you tell him to shut up again. He will, for a solid thirty seconds, when he can't handle not saying something stupid anymore. You either have two migraines to deal with now or a buddy who's doing his best to help distract you from it.
The Ones You Haven't Met, Yet...
Fractured Souls - My other Underfell AU:
My Other UF!Sans aka Crimson:
He hates ever seeing you in pain, whether it be emotionally or, as is the case this time, physically. He's a tough guy that had to grow up quickly in a rough world so he isn't the greatest at helping at first. He has the head knowledge on what to do but struggles with figuring out what order to do it in.
If you can stomach food, you are either getting some awesome leftovers of whatever Scar made recently or Crimson will make you something simple himself. If you're okay with taking pain meds, he'll make sure you take the correct amount and make you a golden flower tea as well.
He doesn't know what else he can do for you but will sit and give you all the cuddles you could ask for, if you're comfortable with that anyways. He's a big guy, so he gives great cuddles. You won't want for anything and all you have to do is ask if you do.
If your migraine goes away soon, he'll probably continue to dote on you for the rest of the day. You aren't doing any chores or even lifting a finger on his watch. He will call you out if you force yourself to do anything strenuous too.
My Other UF!Papyrus aka Scar:
Unfortunately for you, he doesn't notice you're in serious pain until he actually stops whatever he was doing and takes a good look at you. When he realizes how awful you're doing though, he's dropping everything to take care of you and if you feel guilty for bothering him, he'll insist your health is more important. You're weaker and more prone to sicknesses than he is afterall. He doesn't mean to be harsh or anything, that's just how he is.
He will make you some soup or a golden flower tea if you'd rather that. Otherwise, you are getting sent to your room and under strict bed rest for the rest of the day. None of his other brothers are permitted to disturb you either. Scar will make sure you have anything you need throughout the day like medications or a hot or cold pack for your head.
He checks in on you every few hours but carries on with his responsibilities otherwise. If you're doing especially bad or if you ask him to, he will concede and stay with you for a while. He has a real soft spot for you afterall and he hates seeing you sad.
It'll be back to business as usual the next day though. So good luck getting out of any chores because he'll send you right back to bed if he thinks you still have a migraine. He's a bit cold that way but he means well.
My Other UF!Gaster aka Vermillion:
He takes an even more clinical approach than Scar would and let's be honest, you only came to him for help because his younger brothers were too busy. He cares a lot about you, maybe not as much as Crimson does, but he does in his own way.
Vermilion knows many ways to make you feel better and will suggest multiple options for you to choose from. He'll make sure you get the exact dosage of medication and give it to you at the correct times if you need more. He'll make sure his brothers are quiet when they do find out about your migraine, but won't interfere if they also want to help.
You'll probably wake up to find him sitting next to your bed watching you fondly or holding your hand in his much larger one. You're such a small human compared to him and his brothers and he finds you absolutely fascinating. Fine, he was also watching you to make sure you would be okay while you slept. No, it's not strange, it's called putting you on Observation... Yes, he is aware that you know that's not what that means.
The Caged Canary - My attempt to rewrite my first Classic fic ever:
My UT!Sans aka Classic:
He could tell something was wrong the moment you didn't at least give him a pity laugh at any of his awful jokes. He's quick to grow serious and he'll try to get you to tell him what's wrong. To his relief, you've only got a migraine and aren't being harassed by your awful family or something.
Classic is great at taking care of you as he took care of Vanilla for many years when they were younger. He'll make sure you drink plenty of water or tea, get pain killers for you if you can take them, and even taking you home if you're out somewhere together.
You're in great hands with him (quite literally he'll be quick to point out). If you have energy, he'll attempt to cheer you up with humour or just pleasant conversation as charisma is one of his strong suits. You'll probably learn something new about him for once and maybe end up revealing some of your own secrets in the process.
He may or not be there in the morning if you fell asleep, depends how comfortable you are around him. He'll check in on you later though and try some more jokes just to make sure you're back to normal.
My UT!Papyrus aka Vanilla:
He's much more observant than you thought and he surprised you by asking if you're doing okay. You tried to play it off and claimed your head just hurt a little, but he easily saw through your lie. For crying out loud, he lives with his brother, the master of deflection and distraction, you are an amateur in comparison.
He's very kind and tries to gently get you to let him help. He'll take you somewhere quieter and make sure you aren't dehydrated or hungry before anything. If you'll let him, he'll also offer to use healing magic to cure your migraine. Otherwise, he'll offer to make you some food with healing magic. (He's gotten really good at cooking now!)
Vanilla won't leave you alone until he knows you'll be okay and he'll go out of his way to make sure you're okay before even dreaming of leaving you. Would a hug from the Great Papyrus help? Of course it would! He is the best at giving hugs! That's what friends are for afterall - making sure you're okay.
He's one step away from acting like a mother hen and will check in for a little while afterwards just to make sure your migraine is completely gone. Maybe he'll ask to come over to hang out just to make sure, but he also wants to spend quality time together don't get him wrong!

Hello guys! It's me!
How are you doing?
AFTER HALF A CENTURY...IM BACK WITH ANOTHER SICKFIC!
Now, this one was supposed to be a little drabble but I got a little carried away...
Anyways, enjoy!
Thinking about Hyunjin who has a really bad stomachache and he’s been crying on and off all day and can barely eat anything but once he feels a bit better he goes with reader to the library while she study’s in silence and he just kinda tries to distract himself with reading, but then he starts feeling nauseous and can’t really talk because yk you gotta be QUIET in a library. So he has to text her to tell her he feels like he’s going to vomit but she’s not quite getting the hint that he wants to leave so he has to be really blunt with her 😭. THEN she takes him outside and he just dry heaves, then she gives him water and he just throws up the water. but when they get in the car…oh that’s a WHOLE new situation and mess.
LIBRARY DATE
While you were on your midterms, Hyunjin was in a well-deserved rest period. However,  the poor boy's body was feeling the toll from the last promotion. His immune system wasn't doing that great and he ate something that didn't sit well with his stomach.
He woke up with a really bad stomach ache, it was a sharp pain around his middle, especially sharp in the pit of his stomach. The pain was so strong he actually started crying at some point.
- babe, it hurts!
- oh baby. I know it does. I gave you medicine, it will take some time for it to work. Do you want to eat some light soup? Or maybe a fruit?
- no...it feels horrible...I feel like I've eaten enough for the week.
- but you didn't eat anything. Not since last night.
-I know....but I just can't, it's hurting too much.
- oh Hyune...do you want me to rub your belly?
- yes...
You sat next to him at the edge of the bed where he was lying down and proceeded to rub his belly. He felt comfortable with your touch and closed his eyes to try and rest. In a few minutes, he managed to fall asleep.
You let him rest while you finished doing your chores at the house and prepared something light for him to eat in case he woke up feeling a little better.
A few hours later, he woke up feeling a little better, the pain was barely there and he was actually feeling a bit hungry.
You had prepared some light snacks for him, as you thought that would sit better than soup.
- Hey sleepyhead.
- Hey babe.
He said going towards you like a little kid for a hug.
You hugged him as he buried his face on your shoulders and spoke softly.
- Are you feeling better?
- Yeah...a little....
- Do you want to eat something?
- Yeah...
- Come on.
You said as you grabbed his hand and walked to the table. You served him the snacks you were preparing before in hopes he'd be able to get at least a little bite in.
- You don't have to eat everything. Just pick what you think your stomach will agree with.
- Woah! Thank you, honey.
You just smiled as you sat in front of him while he ate. You kept scrolling through your phone and chatting with him.
- Hyune
- Hm?
- I'm thinking about going to the library to study later. Are you gonna be ok alone?
- Can I accompany you?
- are you sure? Are you feeling better?
- Yeah. I think going out of the house might help me feel less stressed.
- Okay then. Why don't you finish eating and while you digest your food, I'll take a shower and get ready?
- ok!
He did as you told him, he sat on the couch and patiently waited while you showered and gathered your stuff.
The local library wasn't that big but it was beautiful and cozy and definitely helped you feel more concentrated to study.
You found a free table, sat down, and organized your things, you put on your earphones to help you concentrate more. Hyunjin just sat in front of you, completely in love seeing you so focused. He loved seeing how passionate you were about the things you did, even if it was just sitting down and studying.
He couldn't really keep on using his phone so he decided to look for a book about art to read while you studied.
At first, he was entertained, almost like a toddler, he managed to learn about some other painting techniques and he was happy that this outing turned out to be productive for him as well.
But then things started to go south. As he was reading, the stomachache from earlier was starting to turn into full nausea.
And unfortunate to him because, ironically, he picked a book that had tons of Van Gogh's paintings in it, and all that swirling werent helping at all.
He brought a hand to his stomach and gently pressed on it because even though he felt nauseous, the pain from earlier was still lingering around.
He tried to stay focused on the book but the more he tried to read or look at the pictures the more his stomach twisted. He placed the book on the table, closed his eyes took and deep breath in, and exhaled, trying to keep the nausea at bay.
He kept bringing his hand to his stomach and fidgeting on the chair, most to catch your attention, but you were basically in another dimension of full focus, and he didn't really want to use his phone and risk feeling even worse.
But the nausea was growing stronger, so he had no other option. He got his phone and texted you, but the contents of the message weren't shown so you just shrugged it off as him trying to distract you.
He sent a few more texts, but you didn't even bother looking up, part of you wanted to show him that you could stay focused even when he incorporated a toddler to annoy you. But little did you know the distress he was in.
He set down his phone and lay his head on his arms, but the nausea was reaching its peak. He could feel the little he had eaten earlier sloshing around and his mouth started pooling with saliva. He started to swallow convulsively but things just weren't working.
He felt something rushing up his chest and a foul taste in his mouth, he was gonna throw up and there was nothing more he could do to avoid it. And you still hadn't read his texts. He didn't want to talk, first because you were in a library and it was really quiet, and second because he was afraid that if he opened his mouth he'd throw up right then and there, but he had no other choice. He needed to get out of there.
He abruptly put down your book and if you weren't in a library, you would've yelled at him.
You looked straight at him but before you could even get angry, he took his only chance.
- I'm gonna throw up.
He said as quietly as possible but still urgent. Apparently, just admitting that he was gonna be sick, made his stomach contract and he was quick to cover his mouth to surpass a gag.
- Shit.
You said standing up and getting to his side. You just grabbed his arm and wrapped your arm around him as you guided him out, his body already bending over as his stomach contracted again.
Unfortunately for him, some people noticed the sudden commotion.
For some reason, the bathroom wasn't near the room you were in, so you just took him outside in the yard.
He bent over, hands on his knees for support while you kept on holding his arm and rubbing his back.
He spat out the thick saliva that had filled his mouth as you two were walking out of the room.
He felt awful, saliva kept filling his mouth over and over again and he just kept spitting it out. But the nausea was still there and it was strong.
He tried straightening his back for a bit to see if he would feel any different, but it just made his stomach flip again.
He bent over one more time and began gagging again, you could feel him tensing up under your touch with every gag but nothing but saliva came out. You felt horrible and could only hope people would just pass by and not notice him.
- Hyune? May I try something?
He just nodded. You massaged his stomach with a bit of pressure to see if you could stimulate it somehow to help him get whatever was making him feel bad out. But it didn't work, he just kept dry heaving.
- I-I feel awful...my stomach is churning and flipping but nothing is coming up...
- Oh baby...Why don't you try drinking some water? Maybe trying to get something in will help you throw up. Don't take small sips, just try to drink as you normally would.
You handed him your bottle of water and he drank it just as you said.
He drank almost half a bottle and he could feel his stomach revolting inside him. He bent over again and gagged a few times before his stomach contracted a little more and brought up all the water he had just drank but nothing else.
You kept rubbing his back as he proceeded to throw up water and thick saliva. In a few minutes, he was left dry heaving again. You gave him some water to rinse his mouth and then wiped it.
- Babe? Why don't we sit down for a bit?
- Hmm...
You guided him to a nearby tree and helped him sit down.
- How are you feeling?
- Sick...
- Okay. Let's go home. I'll go grab our stuff.
- I'm sorry...I'm sorry for interrupting your study...
- Don't apologize...I should be the one apologizing for not noticing sooner... Just wait here, I'll be right back.
He lay his back on the tree and tilted his head back with his eyes closed. He took deep breaths and tried to pay attention to his breathing or the sound of the leaves rustling with the wind, anything that could distract him from nausea in his stomach.
You grabbed your stuff and apologized for the sudden commotion and left to get the sick boy waiting by the tree.
- Come on, let's go. Can you stand?
- Can you help me?
- Of course.
You positioned your arms beneath his while he held you for support, and helped him to his feet. You stood like that for a while, with a firm grip on him, to make sure he wasn't feeling faint before heading to the car.
- Do you prefer to roll down your window or the AC?
- The AC...I'm afraid that any smell will enter the car if the windows are open.
- Okay. Babe, tell me if you feel like throwing up, okay? So I can at least try to pull over.
- Okay.
The first 30 minutes of the ride were okay. He kept his eyes closed while you held his hand, thank God for automatic cars. You kept quiet the whole time because you didn't want to overwhelm him.
But then, the worst happened. Traffic. For some reason, traffic stopped. And you felt desperate because you wanted to get home fast, so Hyunjin could rest.
- Shit! There must've been an accident or the traffic lights are broken...you okay?
He just nodded and closed his eyes again. You knew he wasn't okay, he was far from being okay. Traffic felt like it was moving one centimeter at a time.
He was okay at first because the car wasn't moving but the realization that he'd be stuck in a car for god knows how long while feeling sick made everything worse.
The nausea which was somewhat controlled, increased ten times. He squeezed his eyes and let out a shaky sigh while his hands gripped his thighs and the door handle with such force his knuckles turned white. He tried taking deep breaths but the sudden movement of the car made his stomach jolt. He felt something coming up his throat and started to swallow convulsively. There's no chance in hell he was gonna throw up inside the car, he had already ruined your study day and now he was going to soil your car with vomit? No chance.
You were too focused on the road, trying to understand what was causing the traffic jam, so you didn't notice him fidgeting by your side.
He managed to swallow it back but it was a useless effort. As soon as it went down it shot back up, hot foul tasting liquid hitting the back of his throat. He gagged and quickly brought his hands to his mouth, fearing the worst.
The gag snapped you back into the reality of the car.
- Hyune? You okay?
He barely made eye contact with you when his stomach jolted one more time, making him gag once more. But this time, vomit gushed out, slipping through his fingers, and soiling both him and your car.
- Oh my god! Hyune!
His stomach didn't give him time to think before contracting again and sending even more pale vomit up, once again escaping through his fingers.
You were shocked with the situation unfolding before your eyes so it took a few seconds for you to react.
You quickly reached for the glove box and found a little towel you always kept with you, considering how he had gotten sick in the car before.
- Oh babe! Don't worry.
You placed it on his lap and told him to open his hands and let the vomit fall on the towel, while you drove a little more. Once you stopped again, you looked for a plastic bag inside your stuff so that Hyunjin could throw up everything making him feel bad.
- Here. Use this.
- S-sorry...I'm s-sorry...
- Don't apologize. It's not your fault you're sick.
He closed his eyes as he gagged again, this time inside the bag, liquid coming out and hitting the back making a sickening sound. You could only rub his back and mutter some words while you drove.
- Oh baby, just let everything out.
He burped another wave, followed by another one making him bend forward a little and you could feel him tensing up under your hand.
- Just get everything out.
He gagged a few times until he threw up again, vomit mixing with the liquid inside the bag. The car was starting to smell and you both wanted to get out of there.
Thankfully, the traffic jam stopped and you as fast as you legally could to get home.
Arriving there, you went straight to Hyunjin's door to help him.
- Here. Let me get rid of this.
You threw away the bag filled with vomit and turned your full attention to him, who was sitting inside the car facing you.
- We're home, baby. Let's go. Can you stand?
- I don't kno-
He was cut off by a sudden gag that sent up more vomit making him bend forward and you barely escaped from soiling your shoes. You shifted to his side and rubbed his back as he vomited again.
- Here. Rinse your mouth and let's go up. You need to take a shower.
He rinsed his mouth and you helped him up, wrapping your hands around him and carefully heading to the elevator.
Arriving home, you went directly to the bathroom with Hyunjin. You helped him out of his soiled clothes and tossed them in the dirty laundry basket.
- You don't need to stay here...
- Hyune, we've been dating for quite some time now...you don't need to be embarrassed. I just don't want to risk you fainting in the shower. But I'll turn around if that will make you feel more comfortable.
- Thank you...sorry...
- it's okay, honey.
Thankfully the shower ended without any accidents, despite him dry heaving over the rain for a brief moment.
You helped him change clothes and then got the bed ready for him to sleep.
You embraced him in a tight hug and kissed the top of his head. And that was the last straw. He started to cry and sob and buried his face in your shoulder.
- Honey? Baby? Why are you crying?
You said with a cute voice and almost crying yourself.
- I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...
- it's okay, baby! Stop apologizing.
- but...I ruined your day...you couldn't study because of me, your car is completely dirty...I'm sorry
He said breaking down even more.
- Oh baby! There's nothing to apologize for. You were sick! It's not your fault! You didn't ruin my day! Stop worrying about that! Hyune, I love you! I'd never, not once, think that you ruined my day.
You said as you cupped his face in your hands and wiped his tears away.
- promise me you'll stop feeling guilty about it.
- I- I promise...
He said pouting. You kissed him and then embraced him again as you two lay in bed.
- How are you feeling?
- Still a little nauseous...
- Wait here a little bit, let me grab a bucket just in case.
You grabbed the bucket at light speed and went back to bed. You cuddled him and started rubbing his belly. He sunk under your touch and within minutes, the poor tired boy was fast asleep.
You changed your approach and kept stroking his hair until you fell asleep as well.
The night went on without any other incidents, the poor boy had his energy completely drained after everything that happened and you couldn't be more grateful that he managed to sleep like a rock until midday.

Stalemate
Happy Birthday @druidx! Hopefully it’s not weird that I know that, I saw you mention it in a tag and ideas started turning.
But your support has helped keep me writing and helped me improve, which means a lot. So to say thanks here’s a quick fic of Baurus making Martin rest.
And inviting the rest of my taglist to the party: @babyblueetbaemonster @inkysqueed
---------
Warm light flickered across the stone floor as the fireplace crackled, it turning to a blur as Baurus’s eyelids drooped. As his head began to nod he quickly straightened, snapping himself back awake. “All right, Martin,” he walked over to the table covered in a pile of books, “time for bed.”
He didn’t look up, even as Baurus's shadow cast across the pages. “Good night then.”
           “I meant you.”
“I know,” he flipped a page, “I was just ignoring it.”
He looked annoyed from beside him. “Don’t you need to protect your mind?”
“From the Mysterium Xarxes, I’m reading the commentaries right now.”
“I know,” the edge in his voice grew, “but you won’t be able to protect yourself if you’re sleep deprived.”
Martin’s tone grew irritated back. “I can’t sleep even if I try so why bother?”
“You might; you can at least rest your mind.”
He looked up slightly, gaze distant. “Being idle isn’t as restful as you may think.”
“You don’t have to worry about the crisis, our friend is taking care of it, you should take care of yourself. At least read something that isn’t about daedra.”
A particularly loud crackle came from the fire, as if agreeing with Baurus.
Martin looked back down at the book. “I’d rather keep working; you should go on to bed though.”
           “I need to guard you.”
“I’m surrounded by thick walls and patrols, I’ll be fine.”
He narrowed his eyes, considering. “You really want me to get some sleep?”
“One of us might as well.”
Rounding the table he sat across Martin. “I’ll go to sleep when you do.”
“What?” His gaze snapped up at him.
Crossing his arms, he leaned back. “Your move.”
He sighed. “Seems we’re at a stalemate.”
“No, a stalemate’s when neither side can do anything. You’re just being stubborn.”
“I’m not the only one.” He noticed his heavy eyelids, eyes starting to water. “It doesn’t matter though,” he looked back down, “you’re about to fall asleep anyway.”
Annoyed, he scooted the chair back, standing up.
“Good night,” he gave a victorious smirk.
“Nah, I’m just getting some coffee, seems like it’s going to be a long night.”
           He sighed. “…All right, fine.”
They parted ways in the hallway, Baurus hurrying off to the barracks.
Martin continued on to his room, sitting on his bed and listening as footsteps went back and forth. When they stopped he waited a moment then crept across the room, pleased with his scheme. Sliding his door open he paused surprised as a Blade stood there. “Roliand?”
“Hello your highness, Baurus said I needed to guard your room.”
           He sighed.
“He also said to give you a message.”
           “Oh?” he asked already annoyed.
He looked a tad confused as he delivered it. “I’m supposed to tell you: checkmate.”

"it's so nice being able to call you my valentine"
for red
I’m not too sure how well this one is since I’m writing it at 5 am, but I hope you like it anyway! :D
Red thought that all of these human holidays were pretty strange. There were so many of them, and honestly, it seemed like they were making them just to make them and get out of things.
He got it.
Sometimes he didn't want to do things either. Didn't mean he could just say there was some hoiday so he could get out of it.
When he heard about this one, called Valentine's Day, he decided to ask his datemate about it.
It was a holiday in which you were supposed to celebrate your love for each other, Y/n said that they were excited about it! They've never been able to have one before, since Red was their first ever datemate. Boyfriend, as they called it.
Wait what?
A holiday of love and shit? Ha! that's so stupid...
That's what he said, though honestly, he thought it was a cute idea and he was excited about it! Just... it made him a little embarrassed. Is his datemate really excited to have him? They could most likely have so many other people but they want him and that means so much more than he'd ever be able to tell them. It's a little embarrassing.
When it was finally that day, he had no idea what to do. He's gotten a lot of gifts for them though none of them exactly fit into what he wanted to get them so he hadn't really bought them yet, they were in the cart on his computer.
He couldn't believe how much of an idiot he was.
Sure, he already bought chocolate and stuff like that for them, though that wasn't enough! They deserved so much more than that bullshit they deserved!...They deserved... more than him.
He thought that while he was sitting in the living room, waiting for them to get here since they called and said that they'd be over soon, this was their first Valentine's Day together and he might just fucking ruin it. Ugh, why does he suck?
Everything he's ever done was a fail, even raising his brother didn't turn out that well. Edge was an ass that tried to hurt him all the time. Not really... his body much anymore, more just... mentally.
At least they were above ground now, and he was happier here. Plus, he didn't fall asleep as often as he used to seeing as though he's been taking pills to help with it.
So ha!
Screw you Edge, it wasn't his fault that he fell asleep all those times. He wasn't lazy! So waking him up by screaming and shouting isn't going to do anything but freak him out.
Speaking of freaking him out.
When he heard the knocking at the front door he tenses up, his eye sockets widening and looks down at the box of chocolates in his hands. This was all he had to give them, was it enough? Were they going to hate him?
His soul hurt thinking about that. Though, honestly, it might be for the best. If they left him, then they could find someone that made them happy. Happier than he could ever.
Red shakes his head quickly, and stands up walking over opening the door looking out at his datemate, getting a small smile on his face. "Hey..." he mumbles.
"Hey Red! Sorry I'm a little late, I didn't mean to. I just wanted to get you a gift"
They had a box which caught his attention, causing his smile to drop a little, though rolls his eye shine, stuffing his hands into his pockets "I told you that you didn't have to get me shit, this holiday is..." he stops, averting his eye shine again his skull tinting in a red color.
They roll their eyes at that, laughing softly "Yeah yeah, I know, you silly skelly" they lean over, kissing his cheek then walk in, shutting the door behind them.
The kiss causes him to tense slightly, then huffs turning his head away, grumbling to himself.
Together, they sat on the couch, and they gave him the gift that they got him, while he gave them their chocolate. They said that that type that he got was their favorite! So guess... that's a good thing?
They gave him one of the pieces, feeding it to him even though he could have done it himself. He got... more flustered than he would like to admit.
And now, they were laying on the couch. They were watching some stupid romcom, he hated romcoms. They normally didn't have a good story about them, and the romance just seemed fake.
Maybe he was wrong, who knows.
Screw that shit.
he was playing with their hair, twirling the strands between his fingers, while making sure not to pull on it, on accident.
"Hey Red?" they start, causing him to pause and he looks down at them, frowning a tad.
"Yeah?" he asks, hating just how soft his voice was at the moment. This whole thing was honestly pretty soft.
They look up at him, and smile resting their head against his chest, as they say "It's so nice being able to call you my valentine" their voice held so much love and happiness in it.
What?
He looks down at them, his cheeks flushing with more magic and turns his head away "Shut up" he mumbles, though couldn't help smiling. Ugh, this is total bullshit, his datemate had no idea what they were doing to him nowadays.
He really did love them. More than he was able to tell them and... if they were really this happy with him, then he would stay happy with them as well, and he won't let them go. They're his, and that's all that matters.

Hi, it's me again, i have another dream i thought you'd find cool! If you don't want to interpret it because you've done one for me before it's totally fine! Its just so wild i wanted to share.
I was God, or a God, and i came down to Earth. When i looked at Earth and it's people i didn't see a blue planet, i saw a giant room shaped like a cube filled with randomly placed, basically shaped, columns and platforms which people stood on. People looked like people, but they also looked like simplified shapes. It felt like i was looking at code when i looked at the world and people. I placed myself in an upper middle platform in the bottom left of the cube with some people, and when i did i became more human. I held onto a piller and looked over the edge and said something like "wow thats a scary drop" to which someone behind me responded "yup, I'd hate to be pushed of that ledge" i turned towards him and said "now that you said something im worried!" And we laughed, like a big laugh, and i physically felt my real body giggling and smiling in my sleep. Thats when i realized i was in some weird half asleep half awake stage. I could move and feel my real body but i was dreaming. At somepoint i ate some food that tasted SO good i swore it was real. Then i realized i had powers. Powers like whatever i wanted to happen, happened. Snaping away something in the blink of an eye, moving something with my mind, ect. So i decided to help everyone i could. With my powers i protected and saved people from evil forces. One guy had some evil thing in him and tried running right at me but i froze him in time and exercised the thing inside him. With every interaction i make, i made a joke and made myself laugh in the dream and irl. I was GENUINELY funny but don't remember what i said. Eventually these Spanish speaking people spoke to me and i actually understood them! They said something like "death is coming" i said "don't worry, buenos noches". Then a much bigger evil force started taking over Cube Earth, so i did my best to evacuate people. Thats all i remember of that phase. Next i was looking at tapestries, but they represented human souls, and changed everytime i looked at them even though it was the same soul. Looking at the tapestries gave me such understanding and clairty of that person, i knew them like i knew themselves. I think i was guiding them to the afterlife and said things like "i understand, i know you did your best, its okay" and i woke up all the way.
It may be fair to mention, right before falling asleep i was contemplating the afterlife, and my insomnia meds didn't work for a while so I've been up all night and waking up early so im pretty sleep deprived which might be the cause of the vivid dreams I've had lately. The night before was also a strange dream. One thing they both had in common was they were very vivid and actually very coherent and not just a bunch of random stuff.
Anyways, do whatever you want with this info, hope you have a great day!
Heya,
So, yes. This is very, very cool. The theme of "change" is very present here.
I get this too sometimes, especially if I'm having fitful sleep, lol. Anywho- oof. There are definitely some symbols that I think I would not be able to fit into the space of a single tumblr post.
Like, you know, the whole "God" thing. Too much, dude. Too much, lol.
Anywho, I think it's interesting that you said Earth didn't look like 'Earth' but rather a cube/room. Cubes have four corners. Four, in western occultism, is considered a perfect number because it is the number two repeated. It is a solid number of solid foundation. It also represents knowledge and so it makes sense to me that you would have this sensation of looking at things as though they were data. Four is also the number of the elements, and I find it interesting that you found yourself in the lower left corner because, at least in my rituals, that is the corner in which the element of 'earth' resides.
This makes me wonder if you currently feel as though you are growing more knowledgeable in terms of spirituality, or perhaps you're getting better at navigating your own life- the mechanations of your own "world". That right now you have a good foundation, or if you're on the cusp of that kind of experience.
With that in mind, I feel like the "I'd hate to be pushed off that ledge" then acts as a congratulations, and a gentle warning. This, paired with the element of "earth", makes me feel as though you are/have been approaching this knowledge, and stage of your life, in a very grounded manner. Aware of the "fall" if you are to get ahead of yourself, and careful not to stretch yourself too thin (as seen when we compare the exorcism of one man, in comparison to saving the world from destruction- in the first you are capable of the whole of the task at hand, while in the second you focus on doing what you can).
Regardless, however. There will be a change ("death is coming") and this moment will have to pass into the next, as seen in the ultimate destruction of the world itself. As symbolized by the evacuation, you must take what you can in this "world" and go forward into the next "world". To the next moment. Remain grounded. Remember that, no matter how careful you are, eventually you must fall, and that all things end.
Moving onto the soul aspect of all of this- a tapestry is cloth woven to tell a complex story, but yeah, even that can't capture the complexities of the human soul. It's too stagnant. It would have to change. I particularly like that you are so affirming to these souls that you are directing into the afterlife. For me, it feels like you are capable of taking on that change with an air of understanding and humor, as seen initially with you laughing about falling in the beginning. Knowing that things can't stay the same, that energies must be redirected without negating the beauty of what has already transpired. That the tapestry must shift.
Thanks for sharing this, friend. I know it's been a minute and I really appreciate that you thought of sharing this with me.

Long Live the King - 1
In their defense, it was an accident.
Or: The kids are convinced that they killed Dedede and Escargoon. From there, everything goes downhill fast.
All things considered, it was a perfectly lovely day for murder.
Long tendrils of amber light had begun to crest the horizon, gilding the canopy of Whispy Woods. Everything below the foliage was still half-shadowed, strewn with leaflitter and all manner of debris that had made its way onto the path.
For the would-be recreational hiker, it was a rather pretty sunrise. For those not used to the low visibility, it meant lots of tripping hazards.
To which neither Escargoon nor Dedede were immune.
“Your Majesty, please slow down!” The effort it took to speak might have left Escargoon breathless, had he not already lost his breath some three miles ago. He paused to adjust the weight of the backpack, awkwardly slung between his shoulders and shell. “Can we stop to rest? My feet are killing me!”
He’d lost sight of Dedede over the crest of the trail, though fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately) the woods had amazing acoustics. “You don’t have any feet!” came the shout. “Now pick up the pace!”
“Figure of speech,” Escargoon muttered, but he didn’t have the energy to get into another verbal tennis match. Hitching the bag more securely, he put on a burst of speed. It didn’t take long for another branch to snap underfoot, followed by a string of curses.
Gradually, the trail leveled out. Where the trees had begun to thin, Escargoon could hear the unmistakable roar of water. Amidst the gloom and morning fog, he could pick out Dedede’s silhouette, standing over the edge of what Escargoon now realized was a ravine. As he neared, the sight before him unfolded into sheer-sided cliffs, eroded by the relentless surge of the fall. After a certain point, it became impossible to see where the cataract emptied out into the bottom.
The swearing-laced diatribe that had been steadily gathering in the back of his head for the last half mile sputtered out. He wasn’t about to admit it out loud, but the view was rather impressive. Certainly not the reason why Dedede had picked this spot, of course, but Escargoon could appreciate it for its aesthetic qualities.
He pulled himself from his thoughts, and cast his boss a sidelong look. “This is the place?”
“Yep.” Dedede planted the barrel-head of his hammer into the ground, and leaned against the handle. “What did I tell you? It’s perfect. Now all we’ve gotta do is lure Kirby out here, get him right up to the edge, and wham.”
He gave his hammer a vicious swing.
“All this time we’ve been throwing money at the problem, when we should’ve been throwing the problem off a cliff. Why didn’t I think of this sooner?”
“Because it would have required you to think.”
Nothing had physically changed about the grin on Dedede’s face, but it now held a certain undercurrent of menace. “Y’know, it’s a little hard to hear, standing right next to the falls, but I could’ve sworn you were volunteering to test ’em.”
“You misheard,” he said (and for good measure, took a step back). “Not that I’m questioning your brilliance”—he was—“but how do you propose we separate Kirby from those brats? They’re never apart.”
“There’s an awfully big distinction between never and almost never.” The king dismissively waved his hand. “We wait until nightfall, when they’re back at the castle and Kirby’s back at his place. They won’t be able to interfere if they’re asleep.”
“And in the meantime?”
“We prepare.”
“Sire, forgive me, but”—Escargoon weighed the pros and cons, before steeling himself—“you never actually specified how you intend to lure Kirby out here. He’s not going to just get up and take a leisurely midnight stroll out into the woods, miles away from his home.”
At the very least, he expected to be rebuked for “insubordination” (though with how often Dedede threw that word around, Escargoon wasn’t entirely sure the king actually knew what it meant).
Understandably, he was taken aback when Dedede laughed. “Oh, he will,” he said. “With the right motivation.” And then, from within the folds of his jacket, he withdrew an apple.
While Escargoon accepted the apple to study Dedede went on: “No one’s going to question a bunch of fruit lying on the ground. With how often they drop around here, it might as well count as littering. All we need to do is set up the bait for him to follow, and distract him with a large enough offering that he doesn’t notice us.”
“But apples falling in a perfectly straight line?”
Dedede thrust his face forward and leered unpleasantly. “When was the last time you saw someone crazy enough to go into the woods, and come back out again?”
With an ominous laugh, he swiped the apple from his hand and bit into it.
“How’s that old saying go? ‘The simplest solution is usually the right one’?”
“The law of parsimony,” Escargoon said, but without the usual snobbish bite. His pensive expression faltered, overtaken a moment later by a grin. “It really is perfect. No witnesses, no expenses, no paper trail.”
“Well, perhaps an apple trail or two,” Dedede added slyly.
“With how fast the current is, his body will be downriver long before anyone starts to organize a search.” Escargoon steepled his hands. “And by the time someone notices—”
“—it’ll be too late.” Dedede turned the apple over in his hand, before he held it out over the water and watched it fall.
“Can you hear what they’re saying?”
The bushes rustled.
“Negative.”
“Can you at least see what they’re doing?”
“Why do you think I would have a better view when you’re standing right next to me?”
“Because I have leaves and bangs in my way.”
“Then get a haircut.”
Thorns dug into her arms as Tiff pushed aside a branch.
“Well?”
She squinted, and leaned a little closer. “If I didn’t know any better,” she muttered, “I’d say they were hiking.”
In hindsight, it was rather fortunate that Tuff had decided he wanted a snack at three in the morning. While there wasn’t, strictly speaking, a curfew, getting caught wandering the corridors late at night wasn’t worth the hassle. It was with that reasoning Tuff had memorized the guards’ patrol schedule, and knew where to go to avoid getting caught.
It was also how he’d spotted Dedede and Escargoon on his way back from the kitchens.
It could be argued that he’d developed something of a sixth sense where they were concerned. His half-eaten sandwich forgotten, Tuff had made his way back to his quarters and woken his sister.
But now, as she brushed nettle leaves out of her hair, Tiff couldn’t help but wonder if they’d been wrong.
“There’s no way they came out here just to sightsee.” Tuff snorted. “Besides, Dedede hates that ‘nature crap.’ Why would he willingly drag himself out here?”
Tiff didn’t answer.
“You’re not seriously giving them the benefit of the doubt.”
“I’m not,” she said. “But I’m not about to assume anything until we know more.”
“‘Assume anything’? Tiff, they were sneaking around the castle. What more do you need?”
“Right now? For you to stop talking.” She shifted back the branch that had caught on her sleeve. “We’re too far away for me to see or hear anything useful.”
“So let’s get closer.”
“I’d love to, but I left my ghillie suit back home,” she snapped, only to then wince. She lowered her voice. “There’s not a lot of cover out there. They might see us if we move.”
“Well, it’s either that,” he huffed, “or we sit here getting ticks while they maybe plot something.”
Tiff chewed on her bottom lip.
“Look, worst case scenario”—Tuff squared his shoulders—“they actually are up to something, and if they see us, we make a break for it. We can outrun them. Once we’ve put enough distance between us, we can figure it out from there.”
He held out a hand. “Deal?”
“Deal.” They shook on it.
With as little disturbance as possible, they slipped out of the undergrowth, and began to approach.
The rapids were getting louder.
“—several hundred, depending on how far apart we space them out.” Escargoon was jotting something down on the notepad he’d retrieved from his bag. “We might have to deplete the larder just to have enough.”
“Well, I’m not about to go harvesting from the woods. You know how territorial that uppity fencepost gets.” Dedede crossed his arms. “We can replenish later. Have the Waddle Dees empty out the stores.”
They were nearly at the next bit of cover. Tiff carefully pushed forward on a branch as she crept past, and—expecting Tuff to catch it as he followed—released it.
He ducked. With a crack like a gunshot, the branch snapped back into place.
It occurred to her, somewhat belatedly, they’d been so worried about what would happen if they were caught, that she hadn’t considered how Dedede and Escargoon would react to being followed.
As Dedede jumped back with a yelp, and stumbled into Escargoon, she realized they had their answer. For a moment the two teetered on the edge, pinwheeling their arms, before they lost their balance.
“No!”
Tiff wasn’t sure which one of them yelled.
She lunged forward, her shoes sliding over the damp grass, and peered over the drop.
They were gone.
“They fell.” Her fingers dug into the loose soil, as she stared without seeing into the white froth below. Her lungs hitched on a breath that wasn’t there. “We let them fall.”
Tuff swallowed. “I’m sure they’re fine," he said. "They just—they probably got washed downstream.”
Over the side of a waterfall.
Neither of them bothered to voice that particular thought.
Not willing to contradict him (and validate her own panic), Tiff drew back and beckoned him to follow. “Come on. I think there’s a way down to the bottom of the cliffs—a way that doesn't involve us getting wet.”
“Any sign of them?” Tuff called.
The glare of the sun made it hard to look at the pool for any length of time. Tiff turned from the water as her brother trudged along its bank, leaving long, vertical skids in the sand.
“Not yet.” She waited until he was close enough to slide to the ground, his back pressed against the surface of a boulder. “What about you? Any luck following the river?”
“There’s only so far I could follow it.” He combed a hand through his hair, grimacing when he pulled away with beads of sweat. “After a certain point it gets really wide and shallow. It’s not deep enough for anything big to float through.”
“So that means they didn’t make it far.” Tiff jerked her gaze back toward the pool. Dense clouds of cool vapor billowed up from the waterfall where it slammed into the rocks. “If they didn’t lose consciousness, then maybe they managed to pull themselves out.”
Or maybe they drowned and sank to the bottom.
She shook her head to dislodge the thought. It remained.
With a weary sigh, Tuff hauled himself to his feet. “We can probably cover more ground if we search from opposite sides. You take this shore, and I’ll backtrack and find somewhere I can…”
The words died in his throat.
A chill that had nothing to do with the mist ran down her back. "What is it?”
“I don’t think they ever made it out.” Slowly, he lifted his arm, and pointed toward the water. “Look.”
She willed herself to look.
Caught on the jagged edge of a rock, nearly obscured by the mist, was Dedede’s toque.
The only thing louder than the falls was the heavy, percussive beating against her ribs. Tiff opened her mouth to—what could she even possibly say?—and was spared the agony of having to figure out what by the sound of Tuff gagging.
His shoulders tensed as he hunched over, one hand braced against the boulder, the other cupping his mouth.
“Tuff?” She took a step toward him. “Are you—?”
“I shouldn’t have had that sandwich.” He sucked in a sharp gasp. “Just. Just give me a sec. It’ll pass.”
He inhaled. Let it out through his nose. Repeat.
Slowly, his breathing evened, and he resurfaced from between his arms. “What are we gonna do?” he croaked.
Tiff pressed the heel of her hand against her brow. “I don’t know.”
“What do you mean, you don’t know?” She could feel the heat of his glare through his bangs, as he whipped his head to face her. “You’re the one we always go to when something bad like this happens!”
“Well, I’m sorry that I didn’t have any backup plans in case we murdered someone!”
Tuff’s jaw snapped shut with an audible click of teeth. “Don’t say that.”
“Why? Because you don’t like that it’s true?” The sand crunched beneath her shoes as she paced. “They fell because of us, Tuff. We’re responsible.”
“It was an accident.” Though by the way he said it, Tiff wondered if he wasn’t trying to convince himself.
“The intention doesn’t matter. If we hadn’t startled them, they’d still be here.” Her eyes stung. She paused to rub at them, hoping it would stop. “We have to tell someone.”
“Are you nuts?” he asked. “Do you want to go to jail? Because that’s what’ll happen if you talk.”
“That’s what will happen if we don’t talk,” she snapped. “There are laws for refusing to report a homicide. And in case you forgot, one of the people we killed was a king.”
“A really bad king,” muttered Tuff.
“Do you really think Chief Bookem is going to care whether or not Dedede was a bad king?” Tiff asked. “He doesn’t like him any more than the rest of Cappy Town. Doesn’t mean he won’t put aside his feelings in order to do his job.”
They lapsed into tense, unhappy silence.
“Well—” Tuff considered. “It’s like you said: they’re dead, right?”
She gave a sharp, affirmative jerk of her head.
“Okay. Well, no one besides us actually saw what happened. It could be days before someone finds their bodies. Or weeks. Or maybe they never will.” He cuffed the sand with his shoe. “Whispy Woods can be dangerous for travelers, especially in the dark. If someone wasn’t paying attention to where they were going…”
He shrugged, with a very careful, very deliberate nonchalance.
“I mean, what are the odds they just…fell in?”
He let the words hang between them.
“So we just—say nothing?” she asked, at last. “Let people think their deaths were an accident?”
He frowned. “They were an accident, Tiff.”
“You know what I mean.” She scrubbed at her cheek, and watched as a flake of dried dirt came loose. “But suppose we’re wrong? Suppose by some miracle they did survive. What if they show up in town and start telling people that we knew? Or worse, what if they start telling people we pushed them in? They could change the story, and because of how suspicious it would look, people might actually believe them.”
“Unless someone tries to make contact with them using a ouija board,” Tuff scoffed, “then I think our secret’s safe.”
“...I suppose you’re right,” she said, when she trusted herself to speak again. “In which case, we should probably head back to the castle, and figure out what to do once things…settle down.”
“Guess so.”
They met each other’s eyes. A second later and they rushed to pull the other into a hug.
“I’m sorry I yelled at you.” Tiff tried, and partially succeeded, to suppress the hiccup that badly wanted to claw its way out of her throat.
Tuff's grip tightened around her torso. “Me too.”
On unspoken signal they stepped apart, and glanced at the waterfall behind them.
“Do you think we should say a few words?” Tuff asked, with a distinct air of discomfort. “You know, in case they’re still around.”
Tiff cleared her throat. “Sure. I’ll go first?”
He nodded.
She turned to face the water, and it occurred to her that she didn’t know what to say. It took her two false starts before she was able to gather her thoughts.
“King Dedede? Escargoon?” It would’ve been easier if Tiff at least had something to look at besides the thick plumes of vapor. (She very pointedly avoided the hat still clinging to the rocks.) “We’re sorry that you—that we let you die.” Truthfully, she wasn’t entirely convinced that paranormal activity was actually a thing, let alone the idea of them lingering. But just in case… “And for all those times you hurt Kirby, or tried to destroy Cappy Town—we forgive you. I hope you’re both at peace.”
Tuff straightened. “Ditto to what my sister said. Most of it, anyway. Look, I’m still mad at you guys, but you didn’t deserve to go out like that.” He paused. “Please don’t haunt us.”
Tiff glared.
“What? I’m covering our bases.”
“Fine.” She didn’t really feel like pressing the matter, anyway. “I guess it’s over, then.” Admittedly, Tiff wasn’t sure what emotions she was supposed to be processing. She had always wondered whether or not she’d find relief in a future where they no longer had to look over their shoulders, waiting for each new scheme.
She wondered if guilt and closure cancelled each other out.
Ruthlessly, Tiff shoved the thought aside. That was a problem for another day. “Want to start making our way back?”
“Yeah.” Tuff hesitated. “Just—do you mind if I do something first?”
“Sure?”
“Great.”
And he proceeded to puke on the sand.

and you were right— for the most part. it’s not something L ever stops to consider. it’s not that he’s necessarily disinterested, it’s just never been a priority. he usually just takes care of himself when the urge arises.
with you here, though, it’s different. he’s not alone anymore, and your own desires are something he assumes he needs to factor in, and as many times as you assure him that it’s completely okay if he doesn’t want to have sex, that you can take care of it yourself and it’s a nonissue, he’s still . . . curious.
he’s seen you before on the monitors; those times late at night when everyone else has gone to bed and you forget there’s cameras everywhere, that he can see everything you do. he watches you as you’re spread out on the shared bed he rarely sleeps in, slipping your fingers in and out of your little cunt, your mewls and soft whines carrying through the speakers and shooting straight to his cock. he wonders if it’s wrong to watch you like this, but even as he ponders if misa amane was correct, that he is a pervert, he still doesn’t tear his gaze away from the screen. there is the possibility you hadn’t forgotten about the cameras at all. perhaps you wanted him to see.
he doesn’t say anything, less to save you any possible embarrassment and more because he’s found that a subject is least genuine when they know they’re being observed. it’s human nature, he knows, to alter yourself beneath the lens of others, to hide, and he doesn’t want that. this is a side of you he hadn’t considered might exist— an obvious oversight, and one he aims to correct.
that was how L always was. he loves you, yes, you can say that confidently. but as quiet and soft-handed a man as he is, his love is not simple, nor is it gentle. like him, it’s invasive and relentless. it’s not uncommon for you to feel somewhat neglected, or that perhaps he forgets about you altogether, but he never does. in fact, it’s quite the opposite. you are just as much a fixation, a complex puzzle to be torn apart and examined as any case, and rarely does a minute go by in which he doesn’t think of you. it’s perhaps not as romantic as you might like, with his owlish gaze pinned on you whether through a monitor or when you’re sitting next to him, picking apart every detail, but you can’t say he doesn’t pay attention to you. sometimes, you think he pays too much.
when he finally touches you, it’s no different.
he watched for weeks before he broached the idea. the hours you spent trying to satisfy yourself, with your hand between your legs or rutting desperately against a pillow— yet you never seemed truly satisfied. it was obvious in your expression, face screwed up cutely in obvious distress, frustrated tears welling in your eyes and streaking prettily down your flushed cheeks. you could only ever take two of your own fingers, he noticed; you’d tried more a few times, seeming to find your own two small ones dissatisfactory, but you could never quite make it, leaving you in a painful limbo that always has you in a particularly sour mood the next time he speaks with you.
the more he watched, the more he realized how truly unsatisfied you were. one night, you spent thirty minutes rocking against your pillow, and despite the wetness that darkened your pretty panties, you eventually gave up, tossing the ruined pillow away from you with a small, frustrated shriek. he wondered why; and more still, why he suddenly found his own hand unsatisfying, and why he could only curve his own thoughts with ones of you on the monitor, spread out prettily.
it was horribly distracting, really. and with anything else, L had to make sense of it.
in the end, he ends up with more questions than answers.
it’s not his fault, really. it’s yours. you’re so fascinating to study, and so eager to let him learn. you’d been so utterly pliant as he pried your thighs apart, stuttering out reassurances that he didn’t have to do this, asking over and over if he was sure. he doesn’t bother to tell you that this wasn’t for you— he wouldn’t be able to think properly until he’d gotten his answers.
there’s none of the awkward hesitation you might’ve expected, no unsure fumbling of hands or knocking teeth. no, L is sure of this as he is anything else he studies, tearing it apart as he sees fit until he’s satisfied with the conclusion. you’re no different, and he’s just as relentless as he always is.
there’s a certain desperate edge to it when he touches you, like he’s trying to tear everything from you by force. he watches you squirm beneath him, mewling and pleading incoherently as the walls of your pretty cunt spasm around his fingers for what feels like the thousandth time (it would seem you can, in fact, take three), and the only thing he can think of is how many more you’ll be able to give him. surely this isn’t your breaking point? no, he knows better, that can’t possibly be it. you can take more, and he tells you so, deafened to your mindless babbling and choked sobs as you try to push him away.
it’s strange that you do that. you get so upset when he actually does pull away:
he has to pin your hands down eventually; clawing at him the way you are is only a hindrance, and it reduces his overall effectiveness significantly. fortunately, you seem to learn quickly, responding especially well to a sharp slap to your inner thigh. (he isn’t sure if it’s a carrot or a stick, given the way you clench around his fingers when he does it. regardless, it works, so he does it again).
it really only occurs to him to stop when your body seizes again, this time falling entirely limp, your eyes rolling into the back of your head. he might’ve worried, but your eyes flutter open only a few seconds later, and it’s then that he considers that you might be rather exhausted.
“are you alright?” his voice is quiet, hoarser than normal, and uncharacteristically gentle. he cocks his head at you, the puppy-like gesture such a stark contrast to the delightful hell he was inflicting on you only moments before that you can’t help but giggle tiredly.
at your assurance that you aren’t on the verge of collapse, not anymore at least, he takes time to clean you up, his touch feather-light and familiar in its softness. he lets you cling to him, winding his awkwardly long body around you in a sort of cradle, tucking your head beneath his chin.
he counts the minutes until you fall asleep, measuring your breaths against his own. as much as he enjoys tearing you apart to see what’s inside, there’s a strange satisfaction in putting you back together again.

Dad! JJK boys reaction to your baby kicking for the first time.
Gojo
Letting out a cry of pain from the weird feeling, you woke up from your sleep, sitting up heavily breathing, you clutched your arms around your pregnant belly softly not to hurt the baby. Hugging it and cooling down your breathing, trying to comprehend what has just happened.
Many paranoic thoughts filling your mind. Is something wrong? Did something happen to the baby? Thinking about the worst scenarios, another one of those weird tumbling motions occurred in your swollen belly. Bending down to place your ear on the top of your belly of 5 months, you caressed it, trying to feel the twitches again.
Looking to the side, you placed your hands on your sleeping husband gojo, gently shaking him to wake him up.
His sleepy eyes slowly opening, trying to get used to the darkness in the room. Mhm, what is it, baby? Did something happen? Why did you wake me up for?“ hardly understandable mumbles left his mouth as he laid in his place, not moving a bit, still not woken up.
"Toru, I think that… the baby just kicked.“ swiftly sitting up after those words came out of your mouth, his widened eyes in shock. "Really? Did the baby kick? Oh my-"
Gojo did the same thing as you did, laying his head on your belly, his hands wrapping around your bottom, trying to feel anything. And as the baby kicked again, your belly moving softly under his head.
Gojo almost jumped out of his place in amazement as he felt that. "Oh holy Y/N, that was- -your belly just moved, I felt it. Oh my God your baby just moved.“
Tugging up your top to expose your baby bump, he planted kisses on it, still astonished from the new feeling of a baby moving inside your body. "My baby? It’s your baby too, it’s our baby and it moved, Toru.“
You both giggled at the new feeling, it all felt so real, now that you could really feel your baby. "Come on, let’s get back to sleep, you have to rest.“
Going back to sleep, he spooned you from behind, his arm embracing you close to him, caressing your baby bump until you fell asleep again.
Yuji
"Y/N do you know where is the bottle of the vinegar?“ Yuji shouted for you to hear, rummaging all over the kitchen, trying to find the liquid he was looking for.
You were laying on the couch, resting with a book in your hands, since any excessive movement made your pregnant body tired.
One eye on the pages of the book, the second one looking out for your husband Yuji who was cooking you two a meal, making sure he didn’t hurt himself or mess something up.
Even though Yuji was a good cook, he was a bit clumsy so occasional cuts on his fingers weren’t that occasional. Suddenly a dull pain hit your belly, causing you to cry in pain, wrapping your arms around your swollen belly.
As Yuji heard your painful whimpers, he dropped the knife he was holding, cutting his finger slightly, but that wasn’t what he cared for, immediately running over to you.
"Y/N Are you okay? What’s going on? Is there something wrong?“ kneeling in front of you, letting his hands fall onto your knees. Your head lowered down, trying to overcome the pain that hit your ribs and abdomen.
" I don’t- don’t know, it just suddenly started to hurt so much.“ his worried expression turned into a soft one in a blink of an eye. " Isn’t it… our baby kicking?“
Getting the pieces of information that flowed through your brain together, you realised that Yuji might have a point.
"Aww Y/N, I’m so sorry for what our baby is putting through, come on lay down, I’m gonna bandage my finger, and I’ll give you a massage, maybe it’ll relieve stress, what do you think?“ nodding you laid down, still not over the pain your baby just gave you.
Yuji ran back to the kitchen for a second, rummaging over the boxes of medicaments and this type of stuff, trying to find a plaster to wrap his finger in before going back to you and sitting on the couch. He laid your head on his lap, his hands massaging your stiff shoulders in circular motions while singing to you, trying to help you relax.
Megumi
The weekend always meant Megumi well-deserved rest. Usually, the two of you spent a weekend together in bed, lazily cuddling and watching series you abandoned throughout the week. Today was not any different.
Laying in the bed under piles of comforter, you nuzzled your back into Megumi’s chest, letting out small mewls at how comfortable his presence was. Ever since you got pregnant, Megumi treated you like the most fragile crystal vase in this world.
His arm wrapped around your baby bump protectively, the other arm laid under your head. Watching the characters move on the screen of your notebook, your attention fully captivated.
You were on the edge, almost not breathing from the unexpected plot twist, when your swollen belly twitched lightly. Frowning your eyebrows at the weird feeling, it was as if butterflies were flying in your stomach.
But the nervous twitches did not stop, yet, they only intensified. You remembered an article you read a month ago, about how to distinguish when a baby kicks or moves. Concentrating more on the feeling, it was the same as described in the article.
Turning around to look at Megumi, his eyes closed as he was probably napping. Shaking his shoulders to wake him up, he opened his sleepy eyes. " Megumi“ humming tiredly, he tried hard not to knock out, but listen to what you had to say.
" I think our baby moved“ His no longer sleepy eyes opened widely, looking at you with excitement. "Really? How does it feel? Oh I can’t even imagine it, let me touch.“
His loosened grip around your belly now tightened, his hand roaming all over your belly, trying to feel anything. "But I don’t feel anything Y/N.“ he looked at you sadly, for not being able to feel his child kick.
"It’s because the baby stopped moving, Megumi I’ll tell you the next time it moves.“ He nodded dejectedly and laid back down, holding you close to him as you two resumed the series while waiting patiently for your baby to move.
Nanami
"That’s him, that’s the guy. The guy with the black hat is the killer!“ shouted gojo as the aforementioned character of the movie you were watching appeared on the screen.
" I swear try to do this once again and you’ll be the one left out when we have the next movie night.“
Switching between the channels you turned the TV off and decided to rather talk together since nothing watchable was on. You listened to the men who was talking about his next week’s schedule.
Laughing at some of the sarcastic remarks your husband Nanami made, you comfortably positioned yourself on Nanami’s laps, his strong arms keeping you close and wrapping around your baby bump protectively.
It was as if your baby reacted to the feeling of his dad’s hands when you felt some weird twitches and tumbles. Shrugging your eyebrows at the weird feelings you supposed was the baby kicking, you lightly bent forward, your fingers circling over your bump, occasionally poking it to get another reaction from the baby.
"Is something wrong, Y/N?“ queried your husband Nanami, catching the attention of gojo, who stopped in his convo, instead diverting his attention to you.
"-I think our baby moved…“ as soon as the words left your mouth, gojo jumped out from his seat, coming over to you and immediately placing his hands on your belly out of curiosity, leaving you and Nanami speechless as the men tried to feel your baby moving.
"Get your hands off my wife’s bump, you’re irrelevant right now. Her dad should be the first one to feel her kick, her uncle is further in the line. Make your own child.“
Getou
Having to deal with pregnancy was hard, but having to deal with pregnancy when your partner couldn’t be present all the time, was even harder.
When you got pregnant Getou made sure to be there for you as much as he could.
Coming out of your shared bedroom, you yawned, still not completely woken up from your night sleep. Picking some milk out of the fridge to cook oats in, you made yourself oatmeal with fruit and a cup of coffee to eat for breakfast.
Digging your spoon into the bowl, you couldn’t get yourself to have a bite. Your stomach feeling somehow heavy. It wasn’t like the morning nausea you had in the first trimester, it was just a bad feeling as if someone was squeezing your stomach.
You at least drank the coffee as you sat down on the couch in your living room, turning the TV on to listen to watch some news. You caressed your baby bump out of a habit, it was almost like a routine, every morning when you and Getou watched the news, he’d always caress your belly.
Sipping on your coffee, you felt a sharp kick to your ribs and stomach, spilling the coffee all over your clothes. You shrugged your eyebrows, mouth wide opened as you tried to hold back your tears from the sharp and tingling pain.
"I’ve been carrying you for over 5 months and this is how you repay me with your first kick?“ Saying playfully to your baby even though you knew it can’t hear you, you couldn’t help but smile at the precious feeling of your baby kicking even though it was painful.
'I should probably say this to Getou, he’d be happy to know that our baby kicks’ you said to yourself as you picked your phone and dialled his phone number, hoping that he’d be able to pick up.
"Good morning love.“ you subconsciously smiled at his sweet voice as he called you the pet name he often used.
"Getou, our prince kicked me. It hurts like hell, he’s a strong boy, he must be taking after his daddy.“ you could feel the regret in his voice at not being able to be there when your baby kicked for the first time.
"Really?I’m so sorry that I couldn’t be there when he kicked for the first time, wait for me I’m home soon“
Toji
Chopping some pepper bells, onions and tomatoes, you put the aforementioned vegetables into a pot, pouring a bit of oil and letting it roast on a low heat as you poured some vegetable broth onto it afterwards.
Looking up to see your partner Toji enter the kitchen with no t-shirt, his sweatpants long hanging as he rubbed his sleepy eyes, from having to wake up after coming home late.
"Good morning. “ He smiled at you beamingly, brushing his hair with his fingers and pouring himself a glass of water. "Good morning, babe. I’m so tired, my muscles stiffened as I slept, I must be getting old.“
Laughing playfully at his remark you resumed your previous activity of cooking, pouring some seasoning into the pot.
The sleepy figure of your partner Toji, disappeared from your sight as he got behind you, his long limbs wrapping around your waist as he nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck, whining out of the comfort.
"Toji we can cuddle later, I have to finish cooking, okay?“ He groaned in disagreement not moving a bit as his grip tightened around your '5-month old’ baby bump, running his fingers over the material of your top.
You were so engaged in cutting tofu, that you didn’t pay any attention to the feelings in your lower belly. Sensing some tingling, you brushed it off, thinking it was only Toji's fingertips trying to tingle you to make you stop doing your actions.
"What was it?“ Letting out a quiet 'what do you mean’ you continued not taking your eyes off the cutting board. "Your belly moved.“ Turning over to look at him, you raised your eyebrows, not getting any of his words. "It didn’t move.“
"It did Y/N, I felt it.“ Letting out a small chuckle you turned back. "Toji, I’m not going to stop and cuddle you, this attempt to make me stop is hopeless.“ as you cut the food, you suddenly felt a movement in your lower stomach.
"Wait, what, it really moved. Woah, it must be our little girl.“ tears fell down your cheeks at the new feeling, happiness overflowing your veins. "See? I wasn’t lying!“
Inumaki
"What can I get for you?“ asked the young waiter dressed in a uniform with the logo of the café you were in.
"She’s pregnant and she shouldn’t drink much caffeine, so one strawberry and one watermelon lemonade.“ ordered your husband Inumaki, before you could even open your mouth to say something.
Turning to face his caring and lovely smile, you pouted at him, for not giving you a chance to order something yourself.
"You know I can order for myself? And I didn’t have any caffeine in a week, so I could at least have an iced latte.“ He shrugged his shoulders, as he gazed around the café.
"It’s not about the caffeine right now. Do you remember? We had our first date here and drank the same thing, I just wanted to recall the memories.“ You smiled as you replayed those reminiscences in your mind.
"Who would’ve thought that a bundle of joy will come out of the single date, I can’t express how happy I am. I still remember that day, I was so nervous and embarrassed myself so many times that I thought you would’ve never wanted to go out with me again, yet you did.“ you smiled at his remarks, thinking about how he almost tripped on his own foot from how nervous he was.
"I did. And there wasn’t a time when I regretted, going out with you was the best choice of my life.“
As the waiter was approaching you with the lemonades, you felt fluttering movements occur in your lower abdomen. Onum noticed the grimace on your face as you lightly hugged yourself, but waited until the waiter left.
"Is something wrong Y/N?“ You looked up to meet his worried face. "I don’t know, there is a weird fluttering feeling in my stomach and it’s just… weird.“ You answered as you took a sip of your tasty lemonade, his gaze softening.
"Y/N, it must be our baby, he started kicking, don’t you think?“

virtue and vice
Summary: What they don’t tell you in bootcamp is that trying to fall asleep next to your co-worker, the one that you’re insanely attracted to and might have the tiniest crush on, who also hates your guts and kind of would rather turn himself over to HYDRA than hold a real conversation with you, while sharing the same bed, is impossible. There is no way in hell you’re going to be able to fall asleep next to Bucky.
Characters: Bucky Barnes/Plus-size (f)Reader
Warnings: 18+ smut (vaginal fingering, rough sex, dirty talk, bit of a Dom Bucky Barnes), language, insecurity (weight issues, a little perceived fatphobia which is wiped out really soon after)
Word Count: 6120
A/N: This is a tumblr request for @buckybarnes101 who requested a Bucky/Plus-sized reader enemies to lovers who have to share one bed with smut. I loved this request and really hot to make something hot and rough and fast! Thank you so much for the request - enjoy!!

It finally happened, the one thing you prayed would never ever happen, the thing you’ve been dreading since you started joining James Buchanan Barnes on his stealth missions, the event that will inevitably spark your downward spiral into doom, destroying the crumbs of the relationship you’ve managed to build with him.
“You’ve gotta be fuckin’ kidding me,” he says, barreling through the motel room like a ping pong ball with a little too much pent up energy.
You shrug your bag off your tired shoulder, letting it fall to the ground, not caring about how dirty the carpeting must be.
“At least it’s a queen,” you say, toeing off your boots. “I’ve had worse with Steve.”
Bucky turns to glare at you over his shoulder. “You’ve shared a bed with Steve?” he says, accusation rising in his tone. You stare at him like he’s crazy.
“I’m sorry—are you saying you haven’t? ‘Cause I call bullshit on that.”
He doesn’t answer, choosing to sift through his duffel bag instead. You shrug despite the fact that he can’t see you.
“I mean, it’s pretty routine, isn’t it? I’ve shared with Natasha, too. Sometimes you just have to make do.”
“Yeah but it’s Natasha,” he says like it matters. “I can’t believe you’ve slept with Steve.”
“God, Bucky, it’s only weird if you make it weird, and you’re making it weird.”
He straightens now, body stiff, one of his hidden holsters hanging from his vibranium hand. He doesn’t look at you and you’re too tired to start a fight—much less finish it—so you hope he just goes ahead and fucks off to the shower which you know he’s getting ready to do. He’s always been selfish like that. But it’s also not so selfish, you think, for someone like Bucky to want to wash the missions away as soon as possible.
But the bastard could ask sometimes, couldn’t he?
“I’m going first,” he says, just like always, and you bite your tongue.
“‘Kay.”
You turn and sigh, focusing your glare on the one bed filling the motel room. If there was one thing you always hoped for after a mission, it was not to end up in the same bed as James Barnes. The two of you notoriously don’t get along, for whatever reason that may be (although you’re pretty sure it has to do with the fact that he thinks you’re a useless addition to the team), but there is literally no denying the attraction you felt for him.
The man is hot, and he’s had a couple, or maybe most, of the screws in his head knocked loose.
You have it bad for him.
Oh, but James Barnes is not fond of you. Not that he would ever admit it, but the dude has some serious fatphobia going on. You’re ninety-nine-percent sure of that.
Alone in the bedroom, you start to strip out of your tac-suit, letting your gun belt and the rest of your holsters fall in a ring around your feet. As soon as the heaviness is off you, relieving some of the ache in your body, you think about just falling straight into the bed blood and dirt and grime and all. But you’re also sure Bucky would lose his mind if you did that.
Instead, you look to the floor length mirror just in front of the motel door, frowning.
Your skin-tight suit doesn’t do much to hide all the lumps and bumps and dips and hips all squished into it, and when you’re covered in tiny cuts and burns on every visible patch of skin, you can’t help but think about how Bucky sees you.
The useless fat Avenger! How fun.
You turn to the side a little, glancing at the fullness of your ass. Nice. A redeeming quality of the extra weight you carry atop the strong muscle you’ve built in your short time as part of the Superhero Menagerie. Not having a gimmick of any kind really forced you into working for the position—and now you’re not just the useless fat chick, you’re the super hacking, super gun toting, mega-badass fat Avenger instead.
The shower squeaks and the water stops, signaling the end of Bucky’s shower.
You look up to the ceiling, praying to some god to hear you that everything will work out just fine.
And then Bucky exits the bathroom, steam flooding from the room, wrapped only in a thinning motel towel secured by his metal hand at his waist. It isn’t the first time you’ve seen his chiseled figure, but there’s something that jumps up your throat at the thought that you have to shower in that same shower and then sleep in the same bed as the bed that body is sleeping in.
Oh, fuck.
“All yours,” he murmurs, not even looking at you.
“Great.” You grab your change of clothes and head for the bathroom, trying to think about anything except him.
Tumblr media
When you smell less like blood and asbestos and more like strawberries and peaches, hair damp and a clean t-shirt and sleep shorts sticking to your heat-splotched body, you enter the bedroom once again. Bucky is sitting against the headboard, going through his phone now that you’re both safe and secure in France, dressed only in a pair of sweatpants.
Okay, act cool. Just get into bed and pretend like it’s not weird.
You pad over to the bed, grimacing at the feel of the gross carpet beneath your clean feet, hopping beneath the sheets as quick as possible. If Bucky looks at you, then you don’t see it, because you are focused solely on not looking at him. Petty? Perhaps. Keeping your sanity intact? Absolutely.
“You tired?” he asks and you snort.
“Extremely. You don’t have to turn off the light if you aren’t ready to sleep, though.” You situate yourself as far on the edge of the bed as possible—something you’ve never done with any of the other people you’ve been forced to share a bed with. You and Natasha aren’t new to sleeping together, especially after some of the nights out you’ve shared, but you and Steve definitely cuddled, though you wouldn’t admit it to anyone. Steve’s just kinda lonely, you think. And to be honest, you’re a little touch-starved yourself.
But you know you take up a lot of space and you’re sure Bucky hates that, so you bury yourself under the motel sheets and snuggle up to your pillow, trying to make yourself as small as humanly possible.
After a moment, Bucky asks, “Are you comfortable like that?”
You crack an eye open and twist to look at him. “What?”
He shrugs. “Didn’t you tell me not to make it weird? You’re making it weird now.”
“You already made it weird.”
“I’m trying not to make it weird anymore.”
“A little late for that—”
“God, just, c’mere.”
Bucky grabs you around your waist, your shirt riding up, and pulls you closer. You shriek in surprise, eyes wide, as he manhandles you until you’re away from the edge and your back is pressed against his bare chest.
“There—that’s better,” he says, nearly whispering in your ear he’s so close to you now. He unwinds his arm from your middle and reaches up to hit the light, the room going completely dark save for the little sliver of artificially light pouring in from underneath the shitty curtains.
You don’t even know what to say. Bucky’s rendered you completely speechless.
First of all, the man has never touched you for no reason like that before. Second of all, how the hell did he just move you like you weighed the same as the pillow beneath his head? Third of all, he hates you, so why is he so bothered about you and your comfort? Fourth, he just moved you around like you weighed literally nothing.
And boy, did it send a flood of pleasure straight to your core, almost as if your body just gave the green light to your libido. The perfect time too, y’know, when you’re sharing a bed with your co-worker who hates your guts.
Play it cool. Just play it fucking cool.
“Uh, are you okay?” you ask him in return, and Bucky shifts so his back is pressed up to yours.
“Yeah,” he says. “Go to sleep.”
“‘Kay. Good night.”
“Night.”
What they don’t tell you in bootcamp is that trying to fall asleep next to your co-worker, the one that you’re insanely attracted to and might have the tiniest crush on, who also hates your guts and kind of would rather turn himself over to HYDRA than hold a real conversation with you, while sharing the same bed, is impossible. There is no way in hell you’re going to be able to fall asleep next to Bucky.
Your brain turns and turns and turns, body straining to stay as still as possible to not upset the super soldier sleeping right beside you. What does he have against you? Why does he hate you so much? You really thought once you started going on more missions—proving you were worthy to be a part of the team—that he’d start coming around and seeing your value. But you feel like all it’s served is to make him hate you more, especially now that you tag along on his stealth operations as his techie.
Maybe he knows you’re into him, and maybe that’s why he never wants to be around you. But, god, it’s not like you think you have a chance with him in any capacity, and you’d pass up tens of thousands of chances to be with him if he’d just be your friend!
Because Bucky deserves another friend, doesn’t he?
As if he can read your mind—or maybe it’s just god playing tricks on you—Bucky shifts around in the bed again, turning toward you. You don’t know if he’s sleeping yet or not, but you curl in on yourself a little to give him more space to stretch out.
Bucky’s vibranium arm slides over your waist, cool metal grazing by the sliver of skin peeking out from underneath your shirt, and when you flinch from it, he pulls you flush against him. Behind you, the bare skin of his chest is warm, almost too hot. Super soldiers run warmer than normal humans, and you think he’d be nice to have in bed more often.
In your ear, Bucky groans in his sleep and it makes you shiver despite the heat radiating through your back. He must be like Steve, wanting to cuddle in his sleep. No one ever wants to admit it out loud, but you’re the best thing to cuddle in the Tower. Being squishy and soft atop hard, strong muscle means you’re more comfortable than all the rigid bodies of the Avengers. Maybe Bucky needs this.
But you wish you could fall asleep so you’ll stop thinking about how much you’ve wanted this since the day you saw him, the new Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, hair tied up in a messy bun and stubble thick and dark, vibranium arm hidden within the sleeve of his leather jacket.
Suddenly, everything is too hot. The room, the motel sheets, the pillow beneath your head. Bucky Barnes behind you, arm slung over your body, holding you to him. He’s sleeping, you know, the quiet rumble of his breathing a song in your ear, chest rising and falling against your back. You shift a little, trying to get more comfortable as the warmth starts to become unbearable. When that doesn’t help, you shift again, trying to pull your back away from Bucky, but it sends your bottom half straight into his.
A growl brushes by your ear all breathy and low and Bucky’s arm tightens around you, bringing you back to him.
Damn, who knew Bucky was such a cuddler when he’s sleeping?
You wait a few minutes, keeping still, until you’re sure he’s slipped back into unconsciousness. His nose is nearly pressed into your hair, his breaths upsetting the small wisps of hairs that curl at your ear. Sweat is starting to collect underneath your shirt where your bodies are connected and you know you’ll never be able to fall asleep like this.
Again, you shift toward the edge of the bed, trying to pull yourself out of Bucky’s grasp, but he drags you back into his embrace. The swell of your ass meets his thigh and in a panic, you move around to try and put space between the two of you again, but Bucky lets out a strangled-sounding groan, hissing through his teeth.
“You gotta stop moving, doll, or you’re not gonna like what happens next.”
He is not asleep.
“Bucky?” you squeak, eyes wide, frozen in place.
“Hm?” His metal hand sneaks underneath the hem of your shirt, fingers finding your soft skin and thumb starting to rub little circles just above your hip, a point of pleasure on your body. No one ever touches you here, and it takes everything you have not to press back into him, asking for more. Your breathing is heavier now as you try to control yourself.
“You aren’t—Why aren’t you sleeping?” you ask, sounding winded from the simplest act of him touching you.
“Hard to sleep when you’re next to me,” he murmurs in your ear, nose brushing up against the patch of skin behind it. Your eyes flutter closed. Every small touch feels like heaven. You never allow others to touch you more than necessary, but now Bucky is handling you so gently.
“I can’t sleep either,” you whisper. “Do you want me to go? I can take a walk.”
He makes a noise of disapproval. “Just stay still,” he says, almost begging. “Go to sleep.”
“It’s hot,” you whine. “You’re too hot.”
You can feel him smirk into the back of your neck. “You don’t gotta tell me, doll.”
“Shut up,” you say with a huff of frustration, wiggling in the bed to get your point across. Immediately, Bucky’s vibranium hand falls to your hip, fingers digging into your flesh hard enough for the flash of pain to turn to pleasure, holding you still.
“I said stop moving,” he says, and it's so close to a command that your teeth tear into your bottom lip as his voice sends shocks through your core. Now, hyperaware of how close your bodies are underneath the sheets, you realize your ass is pressed against his pelvis, not his thigh, and you’ve definitely been—
Bucky grinds into you, seething, breath ghosting over your ear, his cock hard and heavy in his sweatpants.
Wetness pools between your thighs, dampening the thin cotton panties you wear beneath your sleep shorts.
“Bucky,” you breathe his name. “What are you doing?”
“So tired of you teasin’ me,” he grits through clenched teeth. “I’ve put up with it for so long—too long—and I just knew you were gonna do it tonight, too. Only one fucking bed. You’re gonna kill me, baby.”
Your voice sounds so small when you whisper, “What are you talking about?”
Then Bucky lays a kiss to the back of your neck, trailing upward until he reaches the lobe of your ear, and pulls it into his mouth and between his teeth. You shiver, violently, unable to stop the reaction. It must please him because he yanks your hips back into him again, forcing you to grind on his bulge.
Your hand comes up to cover your mouth, muffling whatever sounds threaten to fall from your lips.
“Doll, you’ve been teasin’ me from the beginning. From the moment I saw you in your gear on the Berlin mission, all your curves on display in that tight little cat-suit you’re always wearing, armed to the teeth, handling all those guns looking so fuckin’ gorgeous.”
You swallow hard. The Berlin mission, your first stealth mission with Bucky, had gone sour and the two of you found yourselves in a gun fight that was never meant to happen. You’re pretty sure you walked back onto the quinjet covered in blood, bruised, and a gash in your thigh that made you wobble when you stood up, and Bucky didn’t even look at you as per usual. Bucky never looks at you on missions unless he absolutely has to.
Wait.
“Is that why you never look at me?” you ask him, and you wish you could see his face right now, but all you can feel is his lips as they pepper kisses along the column of your throat, coaxing shudders and little squeaks out of you.
“You expect me to look at you without wanting to jump your bones, doll?” His nose caresses the spot at the top of your spine, his fingers melting at your hip and soothing the bruises you’re sure he’s already left. “That’s just askin’ too much, baby. How am I supposed to look at you and stop myself from kissin’ you silly?”
Pleasure flutters through your stomach, surging through the apex of your thighs.
“Then do it,” you tell him. Bucky goes still, unmoving, and you wonder if you’ve pushed too hard.
But then his voice is low, dark, in your ear. “You don’t know what you’re saying, doll.”
The honey dripping from your center, pooling in your underwear, says very differently. Instead of answering, you press your ass back into him, gyrating your hips straight upon his pelvis, rubbing against his clothed cock. Bucky chokes.
And then he’s up and above you, rolling your body beneath him, caging you between his arms. You nearly gasp when you look up at him, his blue eyes intense in a way you’ve never seen them before, his lips pink and swollen from biting—you’re sure yours look the same and he hasn’t even kissed you yet.
Bucky leans closer, his mouth only inches from yours, his breath mingling with yours. Your eyes threaten to flutter shut in anticipation but you force yourself to look at him, to take all of him in.
“If you want this, I won’t be able to hold myself back, doll. Wanted you too long. Need you.”
Then, he pulls back, eyes searching yours.
“But if you don’t,” he swallows, “then we’ll forget this ever happened, and everything will go back to normal.”
Fuck that.
“Kiss me, sergeant,” you command, hand shooting up to tangle in his thick hair.
Bucky curses and then he’s on you before you have a chance to reach up and meet him halfway. His lips are rough, chapped, but plush and perfect against yours. He wastes no time, tongue licking into your mouth and meeting yours, tasting you for the first time. You respond eagerly, hand fisting in his hair, pulling him into you until you can’t tell where his body ends and yours begins.
When he’s satisfied with how kiss-drunk you look, lips swollen and eyes hazy, he moves to the juncture of your neck and shoulder and sinks his teeth into your skin, causing you to cry out. The pain and the pleasure mingle, like lovers, like you and Bucky, as his fingers take hold of your shirt and in one tug, the fabric pulls apart at the seams.
You don’t care—you can buy a new shirt. You need him to touch you.
Until you realize you aren’t wearing a bra and that your top half is completely bare to Bucky, the man who, before a minute ago, you thought hated you because you were fat. Because it was the only explanation you had. Because you’re insecure.
Your hands fall upon his chest, bracing against him, stopping him in his tracks. He pulls away from your neck to look at you, brows drawn together in confusion, and all you can do is try and cover yourself with your arms before he gets a peek. It’s dark, but super soldiers can see in the dark. A blessing and a curse.
“I don’t want you to look at me,” you whisper so quietly you realize no normal person would have been able to hear it. “I’m—I shouldn’t have let you—I’m so fat, Bucky.”
Bucky’s eyes widen.
“Baby, baby,” he soothes you, his flesh hand coming up to cradle your cheek, fingers brushing delicately over your skin. “You don’t believe me when I say I want to see you? Doll, your body drives me insane, and god, every time you get an attitude with me and you put your hands on your hips and you look at me all mad…”
Bucky groans and he rocks his pelvis into yours, hard cock hitting your center and making your breath hitch.
“You’re beautiful, baby. Gorgeous. Do you know how hard it is for me to be around you sometimes ‘cause you’re just so pretty? More than pretty, I don’t even know the words to tell you, baby. Please, please don’t hide yourself from me, let me look at you, let me touch you, baby. S’all I want to do is look at you for the rest of my life.”
You don’t realize you’re crying until Bucky’s thumb swipes a tear away and you blink, and he’s smiling at you so warmly, really looking at you, maybe for the first time ever since you’ve known him.
“You think so?” you ask, breathless. “Even though you’re so—so good, Bucky, so beautiful and so good.”
He rests his forehead against yours, inhaling your scent, your essence, your soul. You nuzzle into his palm, kissing the center of his skin where his lifeline sits among other small scars. Then, you pull your arms away from your body, moving to wrap them around his neck, fingers digging into his scalp as you tip your chin up to slant your mouth over his. Bucky returns your enthusiasm, tongue meeting yours sweetly, and then metal fingers are trailing up your side.
Bucky pulls away, searching your eyes for consent.
“Say you’re mine,” he begs. “Say you’re mine, baby, but if you do, I won’t be gentle.”
You look up at him from underneath your lashes, already heady with the feeling of Bucky wanting you, desiring every part of you.
“I’m yours,” you whisper, and the mood in the room shifts violently.
In an instant, Bucky pulls your arms away from where they’re wound around his neck and pins them over your head, metal fingers locked around both your wrists. It makes you arch into him and then his nose is tracing your sternum, a line down your center, cutting you in half until his flesh hand attaches to your breast and his lips find your nipple.
Just like he said, he’s not gentle, and it has your eyes rolling into the back of your head, lids fluttering, as his teeth nip and tug at the delicate bud. His tongue follows the performance, sucking and soothing the pain away with sweet licks until he’s bored and moves onto the other one.
He lifts his head up to say, “Don’t move your hands,” and then his vibranium fingers find the hardened, sensitive nub and begin to twist and pull at it as his lips play with the other. The pleasure is overwhelming, the pain is a shocking reminder of who is playing your body like a symphony. You arch your breasts toward him, you roll your hips up to meet his bulge, you do anything you can to relieve the pressure that’s building in your core, screaming at you that you need his touch.
“Bucky,” you call out, moaning, struggling to keep your hands near the headboard.
“Do you need more, sweet girl?”
“Please,” you beg and press your center up to rub his cock. “It aches,” you whine.
“You gonna be a good girl for me? Let me touch you? Let me make the pain go away, baby?”
His words send new waves of pleasure through you, every part of you flushing with heat, your thighs squeezing together as if you can hide your leaking core from him.
“Yes, yes, yes, Bucky.”
He lays kisses on the underside of your breasts, just below them, like he’s following the lines of your ribs as he moves down toward your stomach—the part of you that you hate the most. You struggle underneath him.
“Not there,” you say as he places open-mouthed kisses on your soft belly. It tickles and makes you tremble and writhe.
He chuckles darkly. “I thought you said you were gonna be a good girl?” Both hands fall upon your hips, trapping you, fingers digging into your soft, pliant flesh as he nuzzles and licks and nips and kisses your stomach. You throw your head back, dizzy at the thought of what your body will look like tomorrow, purpled bruises made of passion.
“I’m a good girl,” you pant, mouth falling open as you struggle to catch your breath.
“Then let me touch you, doll. All of you—I want all of you.”
You hear the sound of fabric ripping before you feel the cool air rush over where your sleep shorts are no longer, Bucky tosses the tatters of fabric over the edge of the bed. He inhales sharply at the sight of you, hands roaming over the wide breadth of your hips as if he can’t even draw himself away, smoothing over your stretch marks with loving strokes until he finds the thick expanse of your bare thighs.
Bucky’s thumb brushes over your clothed cunt, panties drenched, and a strangled moan flies from your mouth as you press toward him, begging for more.
“This all for me?” he asks, voice gravelly. “My pretty baby is all wet like this for me? Christ, doll, you’re dripping.”
“Yes!” you shout as metal fingers hook around your underwear to rip them off, parting your lips to watch your slick seep from your aching core. “It’s all for you, Bucky, all of it.”
He groans at this. “Good girl,” he praises you. “That’s my good girl.”
And then he sinks two fingers into you, your juices soaking his hand almost immediately, and pumps into you like his life depends on it. The pleasure is too much, and when his thumb finds your clit and begins to slide over it, your knees try to close out of instinct, hips canting away from the pleasure. Bucky growls and wraps an arm around your hips, keeping you close, baring your naked body to him and him alone.
“You like that?” His voice is low, teasing, so fucking hot you can’t do anything but gasp for breath. “You’re sucking my fingers in, baby. So tight. Gotta work you open or you’re never gonna be able to take my cock, honey.”
You whimper his name, hips twitching under his grasp, crying out as every stroke of his fingers brings you closer and closer to the edge. When he adds a third, you think you might die from the mix of pleasure and pain as he stretches your walls.
“You’re such a good girl,” he coos. “You’re gonna take it all, aren’t you? Been teasin’ me too long, and now you’ve gotta take it all, baby.”
He drives his fingers inside and hits the soft, spongy spot inside of you and it breaks you apart, tears you asunder, you’re arching off the bed and Bucky holds his thumb on your clit as you undulate upon his fingers. You can feel the gush of come that trickles down his thick fingers, and then he pulls out and places them in his mouth, licking your honey from the digits as the aftershocks of your orgasm wrack through you.
And when you can finally open your eyes, vision hazy, Bucky is looking at you with a mix of adoration and lust, licking your juice from his lips, grinning.
“That’s my good girl,” he praises again and the fire of pleasure and want and need ignites.
“Need you,” you whine, “right now, please, please sergeant.”
“Fuck,” he curses. “You don’t know what you do to me when you say that, doll.”
You definitely know what you do to him, and you’re gonna keep saying it and saying it until he’s yours, forever, until the end, until he’s buried so deep inside of you that you could die happy.
Staring up at him, your face flushed, hair sticking to your sweaty forehead and spread among the motel pillows, you think you might be in love with Bucky Barnes.
“Need me to fuck you, baby? Fuck, you drive me so fuckin’ crazy. I’m crazy about you, baby. You’re so goddamn perfect, so soft, so beautiful.” Bucky’s hands touch every part of you, even the places you hate. He finds the soft rolls of fat you try to work off at the gym, finds the squishy parts of your upper arms you think look unsightly when you’re hacking into HYDRA’s systems, fingers flying over the keyboard. He passes over your stubbly legs, a little sharp from three days of not shaving while on the mission, he caresses the dimples of cellulite in the backs of your thighs you hate so much.
And then he pushes the waistband of his sweats down and kicks his pants off, his cock exposed and standing attention all red at the tip and thick and hard and hot, and his hands slide underneath your thighs and press you up until you’re angled to take him.
He hesitates though, you feel it. And god, you’d do anything for him.
“Fuck me, sergeant,” you beg so prettily, and Bucky growls.
His hips snap into yours, cock sliding through your walls, parting you for him, splaying you open, stretching you, burning you, he’s everything. Bucky gives you one second to adjust and then he’s moving within you, the pain blurring into pleasure, your head thrown back, keening, moaning, crying out, nails sinking into his shoulders.
“Yes,” he hisses, sweat dripping down his temple as he rams into you over and over and over. “Give it to me, baby. You feel so good.”
“Harder,” you manage in between your shrieks and moans and Bucky answers your call with a response. He drags you toward him until your hips are attached to his, connected, his cock reaching the deepest parts of you, the darkest parts of you, and you sob as the new angle makes you feel every single drag of his length. The head of his cock pierces you, smashing against the spot that makes you keen, and the pressure is building up within you again.
Bucky’s fingers find purchase in the plush flesh that sits on your hips, dragging down until he’s digging into your thick thighs, the sharp pain a beacon cutting through the haze of pleasure you’re locked in as he fucks you. It’s building, building, building, pressure, building.
“Come for me,” he snarls, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, like he can feel how close you are. And for the second time, your body is shattered and your orgasm breaks like a wave crashing against the shore, swallowing you whole until you’re lost in everything that is Bucky.
You scream his name, legs tightening around him like you’re trying to hold onto something, anything, and his words are lost on you.
“That’s it, good girl, that’s my good girl, coming so sweet around my cock, god you feel so good baby, so tight, such a good little girl.”
Bucky pulls out of you and you whine as your slick slips out of you, his cock coated in your essence, smearing it against your inner thighs. But it doesn’t last that long. With an immediacy that turns you on—he wants you, he wants you so bad—Bucky grabs you and flips you over, putting you on your hands and knees. His palm forces your head down, back bowing until you’re arched with your ass upturned, face smashed into the pillows.
“God,” he groans, “this fuckin’ ass of yours, baby. It gets me in so much trouble, d’ya know that? You don’t even know how many times I’ve caught myself watching the way your ass swings when you walk, like y’gotta purpose, like you don’t even know how fuckin’ sexy you are.”
Bucky’s hands round over your ass, caressing them gently, then grabbing fistfuls of your flesh until you’re crying out once again. It makes you lean back into him, trying to seek out the pleasure of him, wiggling as if you can entice him to stuff you with his cock again.
“So fuckin’ pretty,” he breathes, and then he gives your right cheek a slap that makes you shriek, laying a kiss on it just after to soothe the pain.
“Please sergeant,” you gasp. “Please, please, I need you to fuck me again.”
“You want me to fuck you again?” he asks, smug. “I just fucked you ‘till you came around me, baby. You need me to do it again?”
It’s humiliating, but your words are jumbled as you cry and beg and cry and beg for him to take you again. You need him. You need him to fuck you. You need Bucky Barnes to do anything and everything to you.
He leans over you, breath hot on the back of your neck. “I’m gonna fuck you now, baby, again and again and again.”
And then he slams back into you, the angle so much deeper this time, cock hitting the back of your cunt like he was made for you—like you were made for him.
You can’t speak, can’t think, can’t do anything but drool into the pillow as he takes you from behind like a wild animal. The sounds that pour from your open lips are heady and strung together, making no sense, but Bucky knows what you need. He fucks you raw, fucks you hard, fucks you until you know you’ll be covered in bruises in the morning. His metal arm is wrapped around your waist, holding you to him because you don’t have the strength to hold yourself up.
When his thrusts become sloppy, Bucky takes his vibranium hand and searches for your clit, making you cry out. It’s too much—the overstimulation. You’re too sensitive, too exhausted, too fucked out to take the pleasure anymore. But you clench around him, the sloppy sounds of your wet heat taking Bucky as he pounds into you making you flush, and the coil in your stomach is tightening.
“Give it to me,” Bucky commands, ramming into you impossibly harder, fingers sliding over your slick clit. “Give it to me, baby.”
You whine his name and Bucky’s free hand smacks your ass again, the sound of flesh on flesh mingling with the sound of him fucking you.
“You said you’d be good,” he grits through his teeth. “Are you a good girl?”
“Yes,” you pant.
“You’re a good girl?”
“Yes.”
“You’re my good girl?”
“Yes, sergeant, yes!”
“Then give it to me. Come, baby, come for me, one more time.”
And like that, you come apart, knees collapsing beneath you. Bucky catches you in his arms, thrusting once, twice more, and then buries himself so far inside of you that you barely feel his hot seed spurt inside of you, coating your insides.
You fall to the bed and Bucky follows, pulling out of you and wrapping his arms around you, pressing your back to his chest in the very position that started this all. He peppers kisses over the expanse of your shoulders, behind your ear, and then turns you until he can connect his lips to yours. Bucky kisses you like he means it, like he wants it to last forever.
“I’ll be right back,” he whispers against your mouth, then he’s off the bed and headed for the bathroom. You lay there in bliss, staring up at the ceiling with lidded eyes, unable to think of anything but the pleasure and exhaustion that make up your body right now. When Bucky returns, he has a ratty washcloth in hand and he uses it to clean between your legs. It’s warm and he’s gentle, leaving you shivering when he’s finished.
When he climbs back in bed, he tucks a piece of your matted hair behind your ear, smiling at you.
“Such a good girl,” he says, one last time, and it makes you smile. “My good girl,” he murmurs as he kisses you again.
“Yours?” You look up at him, blinking innocently.
“Mine.” Bucky lays your head upon his bare chest. “All mine.”
You fall asleep before him to the sound of his breathing, sharing the same bed with your co-worker Bucky Barnes, who you really think you might be in love with, especially as he strokes your hair so softly until your eyes fall, heavy.

This is a gift to kingkyojuro I hope you enjoy!
This is my first time ever writing a Yoriichi fanfic ;-;
You paused in your chores and turned as you thought you saw a dark crimson and black ponytail bob past in your peripheral. Your heart leapt and you quickly ran from your task into the street.
“Yoriichi-kun, welcome back!” You called to his back, you felt relief seeing he was unhurt. He stopped and turned to you, and you felt that relief instantly twist into worry. Yoriichi had always been melancholy, but the expression in his eyes now was the same as looking into the glassed over eyes of a corpse.
“Thank you, Y/N.” He gave you his usual gentle smile, closing his eyes. “I hope you’ve been well. I can’t visit right now. I told Lord Ubuyashiki I would speak to him as soon as I got back.”
You nodded, “I’ve been fine, before you go see Master Ubuyashiki, are you okay?” You searched his eyes, hoping he would tell you what was wrong, at least admit to you that he wasn’t actually okay.
“Thank you for worrying about me, but I’m alright. Have a good evening.” He gave you a polite nod then turned and walked away, so you didn’t see his smile fall. You bit your bottom lip and returned to your house to get the rest of your laundry down. What could have happened? Had he maybe found the demon that had killed his wife and their baby? He didn’t talk about it much, and it was such a painful and sensitive subject you didn’t feel comfortable asking him about something so private. You took care of your laundry and started on dinner, deciding you would make Yoriichi something as well, if you were going to keep fretting you might as well go try and see what you could do to help. And at the very least you could make sure he had a meal.
You made a couple of bento boxes so he would have something for the next two days at least. Tying them up in a cloth you left your house and went up to Yoriichi’s house. He didn’t live very far from the village, but he did live on the outskirts. Rengoku had tried convincing him to move into the village, but he refused. Saying he didn’t want to disturb the villagers by his comings and goings even though a lot of the villagers were now also demon slayers. You and Rengoku both believed it was for a different reason.
“Yoriichi-kun? It’s Y/N, I brought you some dinner.” You called from the doorway, there was no answer. “I’m coming in.” You took off your shoes and stepped up into the house. Still only silence. Deciding he may have gone for a walk in the woods you went into the kamado, that way he would be able to find them easily. Going into said room you saw that the shoji was open. You set the food beside the stove and ventured out onto the porch. Out of sight of the open shoji Yoriichi was sitting on the edge of the porch, slumped against the post with his head bowed. Thinking he might have fallen asleep you walked over to him to wake him up so he could avoid a sore neck. It was probably a silly thing to fret about, but if he was going to sleep he should be comfortable and not have to sleep in the position he managed to somehow doze off in.
You kneeled next to him, putting your hands on your lap and turned to look at his face. Your stomach dropped and your throat tightened. Yoriichi wasn’t asleep, his eyes were blank, and not in the usual far off way. Blank as if someone had ripped his soul right out. His body sagged like a limp doll’s. You weren’t sure what to do, as much as you wanted to ask what was wrong, prodding him for an answer would be rude, no matter how kindly you asked. You reached over and lightly put your hand on his arm, if he was going to ask you to leave you would, but you wanted him to know you were here for him.
His eyes fell to your hand, “I found the one responsible for turning people into demons but I failed to kill him or the demon woman with him. And while I was gone….my brother turned into a demon. I’ve been banished from demon slaying. Some even said I should commit suicide. Master, who is a mere six years of age and is now our leader, would not allow that. I am sorry to further burden a suffering child…who has just lost his father.”
“But that’s not your fault Yoriichi…”
“I think…I was born with special strength for the purpose of defeating Muzan Kibustuji. But I was lacking. In the end, I failed. Because of that, many more people will die. And that pains me.”
Your eyes burned with tears, what were you supposed to say to comfort that kind of pain? Your heart wasn’t worried about thinking though, and you threw your arms around Yoriichi’s neck, cradling the back of his head. You felt Yoriichi press his forehead against your shoulder, felt the fabric become wet with his tears. You stroked his head right above his ponytail. Finally you found the words.
“You haven’t failed, one day Muzan will be defeated, and you’re the one who started that path for us. It wouldn’t be possible at all without you Yoriichi.” You blinked and listened, Yoriichi was no longer crying, but breathing softly. Tilting your head carefully you looked down. Yoriichi was fast asleep. You heard footsteps and looked over to see Rengoku approaching, his fire ringed eyes wide seeing how you were positioned. You put a finger to your lips and glanced down at Yoriichi as Rengoku walked over. You were relieved to see Yoriichi’s friend though, it meant that he was willing to help, and worried about Yoriichi so he wasn’t completely alone. He had you and Rengoku, and if you needed to leave with him, you would.
there will not be a continuation of this, just fyi

Paul's Lullaby | part two
Tumblr media
<previous | next>
It had been a few days since your attack on the beach. Since then, Paul really didn't like when you were home alone. Or walking to work alone. Or anywhere alone really. It didn't have to be with him, but he needed to know he, or someone he trusted could get to you in time.
He was worried that the leech had caught your scent, and would come back. Sam didn't think so, Sam was under the impression that this person was actually testing their lines, and he wouldn't let the same mistake happen again. You were still waiting for Paul to tell you the whole truth, but you were being patient, as he had been with you. It was clear that whatever it was, was hard for him to say.
Your couch was permanently occupied by Paul, who picked you up from work to drive you home. And if he couldn't make it, he'd send one of the pack, or one of the imprints to pick you up and bring you to Emily's house.
You were cautiously optimistic about where things were going with Paul. There was still some trust issues, but you were working on it together. And no matter how much Embry or Jared talked about Paul's anger issues, you didn't really see it.
Currently, you were at Emily's, sitting on the couch and trying to stay awake until Paul got there. He made you feel safe.
"Have you seen this?" Emily asked holding a newspaper. There were missing people all over Seattle. It's what had Paul working overtime. He was pulling more than his fair share, and you knew that had to do with you. But you didn't understand what.
"Is anyone ever going to tell me what's going on?" you asked, but your tone was light, joking. Emily laughed, and sat by your legs on the couch.
"Paul really is taking his time, huh?" She gave you a sad smile. "He's doing that for your benefit."
"I know, I know," you said. "I'm just really confused. I swear the scenarios I'm making up in my head must be worse."
"Probably," she said. You both laughed this time.
"Well he better snap to it."
"I'm heading to bed," Emily said, patting your leg over the thin blanket. "You okay out here?"
"Yeah, thanks Em. Goodnight," you said.
"Goodnight."
Tumblr media
"Wake up honey."
Paul was gently shaking your arm. He was sitting on the edge of the couch, trying to wake you up as nicely as possible. Jared laughed in the background at how soft Paul was around you, but quickly said his goodbyes as he took the night patrol. It takes a tough guy to make fun of someone and then rush out the door. But Paul didn't care.
"Paul?" you asked, finally coming to. "What time is it?"
"Late, it's very late."
"Take me home," you said, holding your arms out to him.
"I like you when you're sleepy, you're very nice." Paul picked you up, and said a quick goodbye to Sam as you closed your eyes again. It made Sam smile.
Paul carried you to his pick up truck, and got you settled into the passenger seat. He even did up your seat belt. You woke up a little more, but your squirming and stretching was the cutest thing to him. He was so enamoured with you. He didn't really care how long it took until you trusted him. Or even if you never wanted to be with him, he didn't care. As long as he got to be around you, he would be fine.
"Let's watch a movie tonight," you said, yawning right after.
"I don't think you'll be able to stay awake," he said, smiling.
"Can we try?"
"How about we watch something tomorrow, after work?"
"Okay," you said, closing your eyes again. "Tomorrow."
You fell back asleep before you got home. Paul was driving slowly, and the cool air was filtering in through his open window. He was listening to some folk band, and the whole thing just lulled you to sleep.
When he parked the truck, he did everything he could to get you into your room without waking you up, and he was pretty successful. But as he was tucking you into bed, you woke up a little. He moved to leave but you grabbed his wrist.
"Goodnight Paul," you said, not letting go of his wrist.
"Goodnight honey," he said, daring to lean down and kiss your forehead. You made a happy sound as you rolled over, getting comfortable in bed.
Paul would've done anything in the world to crawl into bed with you and fall asleep. But he was happy just to be here.
So, Paul went back to the couch. And got as comfortable as he could, and fell asleep, reminding himself that you were safest when he was here. And that he was doing a good job protecting you.
Tumblr media
The next morning went better than most mornings. You woke up in a good mood, and decided to make breakfast for Paul. He'd been working so hard to protect you, that he deserved at least a fraction of that devotion back.
You made the lot, pancakes and eggs. A small fruit salad and a plate of bacon. While the pot of coffee finished, Paul wandered into the kitchen stretching.
"Mmm," he groaned, "something smells good."
"I made you breakfast," you said, a smile on your face.
Paul was in love with you, that much he knew for sure. And today he got his first sign that maybe you were at least starting to fall for him too. It was a good day.
"Eat up," you said. "I have to work in a few hours."
"You're going to eat too, right?" he asked.
"Of course I am," you said, stopping before you left the room. You turned on the radio against the wall. It was some band you'd never heard of, but it was nice enough. Paul was already filling his plate, but you went to pour two coffees. "Cream, sugar?"
"Just black," he said, mouthful of food. "Just come sit."
"All right," you said. "But for the record I wanted the coffee."
You chose the chair beside him, instead of across from him, and he took note of that but didn't say anything. You smiled at him, and he smiled back, like he always did.
Breakfast was relatively quiet, you made small talk about what was going on that day, but mostly you just enjoyed the silence. It didn't feel awkward, it felt right. It felt comfortable. When you were done, Paul wasn't. So you carried your plate to the sink, and rubbed your hand across his back as you passed. His breath hitched slightly, and it made you smile, thinking about how different Paul was.
Maybe it was time you cut him a little slack.
When he finished, Paul helped you clean up. And even shooed you away to get ready for work while he did the dishes.
"Thank you," he said, as you walked back down the hallway. He wiped his hands on a dishcloth and dropped it back on the counter. He leaned back, and you couldn't help but notice how beautiful he is.
"Thank you for being here," you said, suddenly self conscience under his intent stare at you. You pulled your sweater sleeves over your hands, keeping the fabric pinched between your fingers.
"I uh, packed up the rest of the fruit salad. I thought you might like to have it at work." Paul had one of your Tupperware containers sitting on the counter.
"And the bacon?"
He looked guilty. "I ate it."
"It's okay!" you said, laughing at his face. "It was made to be eaten."
He drove you to work, and although you missed to walk, you knew you'd get back to it eventually. When he dropped you off, you hesitated to leave. Paul sat patiently, giving you a moment to collect yourself.
"I want the truth tonight," you said.
"Honey..."
"Just, think about it from my perspective. I have no idea what it is I should be scared of, I have no idea where you work or why you're gone all the time. I'm worried about you, and I'm scared."
"I'm scared too." Paul took a deep breath. "I'm scared that something will happen to you. But mostly I'm scared that if you know the truth you'll be scared of me."
"I wouldn't."
"You don't know that," he said, he looked terrified. "You hated me earlier this month. Couldn't even look at me throughout high school and I am so embarrassed about that. And it's going to be even more embarrassing when I tell you everything because then you'll know that we didn't make eye contact from two years attending the same school."
"I'm sure we made eye contact," you said.
"No." He looked at you, and you could see the pain in his eyes. "We didn't." The look on his face made you hurt. It made your heart deflate, and you would've done anything to see him smile again.
You unclicked your seat belt, but didn't move as it sprang back into place. It didn't feel right to leave the air like this.
The heat he gave off seemed to float right into your space, and there was something about his presence that made you feel more settled than you had in a long time. You wanted to touch him, so you leaned across the middle seat, and placed a tender kiss against his cheek.
"Just think about it," you said, sliding back towards the door and starting to get out. You didn't want to leave him feeling sad, but you had to get to work.
"Have a good shift," he said, watching you leave. He hated watching you walk away.
"You too."
Tumblr media
Work had been horrible. Your boss was kind of a jerk, and waiting tables had really lost it's appeal. You'd been serving tables in La Push's best diner, but when the new owners took over, it quickly began to lose it's charm. You wanted to buy it when they were selling, but coming right out of high school you didn't have that kind of cash.
You just felt kind of miserable, so when you saw Jared and Kim waiting for you outside, you just felt annoyed. You were under the impression you and Paul had made plans.
"Hey," Kim said, smiling from the passenger seat. You got in behind Jared. "Don't worry. Paul said another hour, tops."
"Can you guys just take me home? I had a long day and I just want to relax," you asked, pulling your upper body between Jared and Kim's seats.
"I don't know, Y/N," Jared said, making a worried face. "I don't think Paul would like that."
"C'mon Jared," you said. "I'll lock the doors, and I'll call you if I get nervous."
"Jared, she wants to go home." Kim smiled at you. You really liked her.
He rolled his eyes and started the car. "When he freaks out on me, I'm throwing you both under the bus."
"He won't get mad at us," you said, "he said himself. An hour tops."
Jared and Kim were actually really great travel companions. Kim always made sure you were included in conversation, and Jared was not afraid to sing at the top of his lungs which was hilarious. They really cheered you up.
And of course, they waited until you were in your house to pull away.
Inside, you were tired, and cold. And you had wanted to spend some time with Paul. But he said an hour, and you figured we wouldn't lie about that. It wasn't too late that you couldn't give him some of the patience that he had given you.
So you spent the time bringing out some blankets, and pillows. When that was done you made some popcorn and fresh lemonade.
Paul should've been there any second. So you just spent some time tidying up the place. You saw some fabric poking out from under on the blankets, and you yanked on it, pulling out one of Paul's shirts. You laughed. Because it seemed rare to even see him in a shirt.
You pulled your shirt over your head, and put on his instead. Your shorts were hidden by his baggy shirt, even baggier on your small frame.
Twigs snapped outside the window, and you gasped. You knew you locked the door, but decided on checking the windows too. Just so you could say that you did. They were all locked. When you walked back into the living room, Paul was standing there - jaw clenched tight just like his fists were. But you could see the restraint. You could tell he was actively calming himself. You took a step closer.
"Don't," he said, voice cracking. He closed his eyes, hating the way you stop dead in your tracks. He didn't want to scare you. "I told you that I didn't want you here alone for a reason."
"I was so tired after work," you explained. "I wanted to sit on the couch and watch a movie like normal people do."
"I am trying to make things as normal as possible for you," he said, the anger was already washed away, but it wasn't gone. Not entirely. "You just have to trust me."
"How can I trust you when you don't trust me?" you said, voice starting to raise with unavoidable frustration.
"You think that I don't trust you?"
"I'm not allowed to be by myself, how else would you like me to interpret that?" You felt tears brimming at your eyes, the confrontation bringing out your anxiety.
"If we're going to fight, I need you to take three steps back."
"For what?"
"Your safety."
"What does that mean?" you shouted. "Are you scared you'll hit me?"
"I would never hit you," he shouted back. "How could you even think that?"
"I don't want to argue," you said, quietly. "I'm sorry I shouted."
He saw the sad look in your eyes, and could've kicked himself for driving you to this. He nodded, prying his eyes away from your sad ones to look anywhere else. He looked at your shirt, for the first time, and even though he was angry with you, he loved the sight. It calmed him down knowing it was you, in his shirt, a couple feet away.
He held his hand out, palm up for you to take. You did, and he guided you, as if you were dancing - not fighting, to the couch. You sat beside him, and he kept your hand in his.
"I need you to really listen to me," he said, his eyes glossing over with the realization that if he loses you, he'd never be whole again. "For now, I need you to follow all my rules. Even when they seem excessive, or dumb. And in return I will explain everything. And I won't keep any secrets from you."
"I can do that," you said. "If you're always honest with me, I'll be honest with you."
"Okay, tomorrow I'll explain everything. You're off, right?"
"Yeah," you said, shuffling over so you could lean your head against Paul's shoulder. "Can we watch our movie now?"
He put an arm around you, and you fit to him. Like you were always meant to be there. Well, technically, you were.
"Yeah, honey. We can watch a movie now."

Day 140: I Need You
"Alright, Potter," Robards said, "I need you to finish filling out these papers, then I need you to finish that proposal we're sending to the minister about increasing the DMLE's budget for next year."
"Right," Harry said, taking a fortifying breath.
"Don't forget how important it is that we get that extra funding," he continued. "It could be the difference between life or death for some of our aurors."
"Yes," Harry affirmed. "I'll have it ready. I'll take it to Kingsley myself this afternoon."
Robards looked at him curiously, "This afternoon?"
"We've got a meeting about the upcoming charity season," he added. "trying to decide which events I'm needed to speak at."
"Right. Good," Robards said, and Harry could see the wheels in his mind turning already as he thought about the leverage this could conceivably give Harry.
Before he could say anything more or ask Harry to do something else that he wasn't entirely comfortable with, Harry fled, waving to Robards as he made a beeline to his office. He closed the door as quickly as he could, separating himself from the pressure waiting just outside his door.
"Rough start to the day?" Draco queried lightly.
Harry turned and glared at him, "I hate budgeting time! I hate charity season! I hate that I can't even make it to my desk in the morning before I'm accosted by these-" he broke off, searching for the right word, "these vultures!"
"Well, if it helps I brought you a pumpkin latte," Draco offered, pointing to the to-go cup on Harry's desk.
"That does help a little," he confessed as he made his way over to his desk and dropped his bag on the floor.
(Read more below the cut)
"So I'm guessing that we'll not be heading out on an active duty assignment today," Draco said with a sigh.
Harry winced and rubbed the back of his neck, "Probably not."
"Well. Which part should I help with first?" Draco asked.
He shook his head, "You don't have to-"
"What else should I do? Just sit at my desk all day and watch you?"
Huffing a defeated sigh, Harry held out the beginnings of the budget proposal he'd been writing, "Could you work on the budget, then?"
Draco took it from him, "Good choice," he said. "You know, our partnership really did end up working out well," he mused. "All of my father's political expertise has come in handy after all."
And Harry didn't say anything, but that was probably one of the most disheartening things he'd heard all day. Draco had joined the aurors to avoid becoming like he father and here he was, doing exactly what his father would have done, thanks to Harry.
If he hadn't felt like crap about himself before, he certainly did now.
---------------------
It was a long day (most days were, if Harry was being honest) and after leaving a board meeting with Kingsley and a handful of other Ministry officials Harry trudged back to his office because he wasn't sure he'd be able to make it any further.
He collapsed into his chair and put his head down on his desk and tried to not think of all of the things he'd been asked to do, of all of ways he was needed.
"Hey," Draco said, entering the office behind him and Harry startled.
"What are you still doing here?" Harry asked, sitting up to look at the other man.
Draco shrugged, "I just had a few things to finish up," he said. It was a lie and they both knew it. "Wondered if you wanted to come to mine for dinner?"
Without letting himself think about whether it was an imposition or not, Harry nodded.
The other man smiled at him, "Let's go then. Everything else can wait until tomorrow."
"Oh," Harry said, frowning at the papers on his desk and thinking that he really ought to make himself a list of the things he'd agreed to at the very least, "I should just-"
"It can wait until tomorrow," Draco repeated, somehow firm but gentle all at once, grounding him in the way that no one else seemed able to these days.
He nodded once and they made their way toward the floo. It was late enough that the lights had all been dimmed and only the enchanted brooms and dusters were out, tidying from the day.
Harry followed Draco through the fireplace into his kitchen and collapsed into the chair at the kitchen table.
"I hate charity season," Harry groaned as Draco passed him a beer, the kind that Harry knew he didn't even like but got because Harry was at his house so often.
"Let's not talk about work," Draco said, as he headed toward his door just as the door bell rang, "Our Indian food is here, anyway," he added with a smirk since he knew that Harry could never work out how Draco always knew when the food was going to arrive.
When he got back to the kitchen, carrying bags that had Harry's mouth watering, Harry asked, "What would you like to talk about, if not work?"
"Literally anything," Draco said, handing him a container of rice and the chicken vindaloo.
He frowned as he dipped his food, trying to think of anything that he could talk about that wasn't related to work.
"You work too much," Draco informed him.
"You work as much as I do," Harry protested.
The other man snorted, "Only because if I didn't, you'd never leave."
"Great," Harry said, throwing his hands up in the air. "Let's just add one more thing that I am responsible for that I can proceed to fail at living up to," he snapped.
Draco's eyebrows rose in surprise as he froze with his fork midway to his mouth.
"Sorry," Harry said, shaking his head and trying to clear it. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"
"Harry," Draco said softly, laying a hand on Harry's arm to draw his attention outward.
"What?"
"Relax," he said. "I don't need you."
Harry nodded, tears stinging the back of his eyes, "No, I know-"
"I do want you," he continued. "I want to be your partner, I want to be your friend. I'd want to be more if that was something you were interested in. But I don't need you."
Harry swallowed, a bit at a loss. He'd wondered (hoped) that Draco might feel the same way he did but he wasn't sure what to say.
"The pressure you're under," Draco said with a little shake of the head, "It's a lot, Harry. And I need you to know that no matter what, I'm here for you. I will always support you, I will always do my best to help you, and I will always tell you to take a break and take care of yourself," he said. "Or I'll insist that you let me take care of you."
"You shouldn't have to take care of me," he protested.
"I don't have to, I want to," he replied. "It's a small, but important distinction," he added with a little smile.
Harry looked down at his food.
Draco let him think, let him mull it over while they ate and listened to the quiet music drifting through the wireless.
Eventually, Harry said, "I think I want that, too," he swallowed. "The more than just friendship part."
The other man stayed silent, letting Harry speak and process.
"But I can't just jump into another commitment right now," he said. "Being a boyfriend seems like a lot of work, and I don't think-"
Draco's hand covered his and Harry looked up to see that Draco's eyes were on him, soft and understanding. "It's okay," he repeated. "If you just want to keep things the same as they are now, that's okay. If you want to spend Fridays cuddling on the sofa in front of the telly, that's okay. If you want to have someone to take to events with you, or if you want to take a step back," he shrugged. "It's all fine, Harry. I've loved you for a decade at this point, nothing's going to change."
A pleasant tingle of surprise drifted up his spine. "If I wanted to kiss you?" Harry asked before he could think better of it.
The corner of Draco's mouth curled at the corner, "I'd let you."
He leaned across the edge of the table and pressed a soft kiss to the corner of Draco's mouth where his smile had blossomed.
"Can we take this slow?" Harry asked, still only inches from Draco.
Draco nodded, "Slow as you like. All you have to do is tell me what you want."
"Can we cuddle after dinner?"
He smiled, "I'd like that very much."
"Would you-" Harry started before breaking off and pulling back slightly so he could search Draco's face.
"Tell me," Draco encouraged.
"Would you stroke my hair?" he asked quickly before his courage could desert him. Draco had done that once, when they were very drunk and Harry still let himself go back to that place in his mind when he was feeling tired or upset.
Draco smiled at him, "Yes," he replied immediately. "Yeah, I would like that very much, too."
"And if that's all I'm ready for?" Harry asked.
"Then that's what we'll do," Draco replied with a little shrug like he really didn't mind. "Let me," he whispered, thumb brushing over the back of Harry's hand. "Let me love you in any way you feel ready right now."
He took a deep breath. It was surprisingly terrifying, even letting down his guard that much, allowing even that tiny amount of vulnerability. "Okay," he finally said.
"Yeah?" Draco asked, eyes skimming over Harry's face, searching for any sign of unease.
"Yeah," Harry repeated, smiling at him.
-----------------
After dinner the moved into the living room and Draco put on a movie. They just sat next to each other for a while, Harry's shoulder pressed against Draco's, his right thigh pushed up against Draco's left.
After about half an hour, Harry finally broke the silence. "Can you-?" Harry started before trailing off.
Draco looked over at him and gave him a little nod, putting a cushion on his lap so Harry could lay his head down. And then he started playing with Harry's hair, gently rubbing his scalp, combing his fingers through Harry's curls.
"Thank you," Harry murmured after a little while, feeling calm and a bit sleepy for the first time in ages.
"Anytime," Draco replied as he continued to toy with Harry's hair.
"I think I'm going to fall asleep," Harry mumbled.
Draco just kept stroking his hair. "Good," he murmured. "Sweet dreams."
And as Harry drifted off, he found that his dreams were in fact very sweet.

She Truly Was || Muzan Kibustsuji x F!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Enmu helps Muzan remember you.
SFW // Fluff with small amounts of Angst
Word Count: 4626
WARNINGS: *slight Mugen Train spoilers*, slight mentions of implied sexual activity, obsessive(?) behavior, Muzan is soft for one person only, some angst, mentions of injury, mentions of blood, I also barely proofread this lol
A/N: I've had this in my head for a while and decided to write it down. This is largely just a compilation of scenarios I made in my head to fall asleep at night when I was stressing over exams and stuff, all loosely thrown together with a plot. This is my first time writing for demon slayer, so please be patient! I also am basing a lot of my info about the characters on s1 of the anime, some of the manga, and the wiki. I apologize if something isn't accurate. tldr; I just think he's neat.
~~
Despite having lived through thousands of years with hundreds of stormy nights in the midst, Muzan Kibutsuji never learned to appreciate them.
Something about nights like those in Japan just never sat right with the demon. It wasn't that they were too dreary, not at all. Life as a demon was plenty dreary. On the other hand, it wasn't that they were to lively either. No one ever went out on stormy nights; demon or not. Perhaps it was just because the rain was another reminder of the singularity that was being a demon. The poignant pitter patter just seemed to have a way of whispering to whoever heard it, telling them the most unpleasant yet quiet truths of their lives.
After Muzan's bloody meeting with the lower moons, he had told Enmu his task Muzan had planned for the pitiful, weaker demon. Although he had doubts that Enmu could hear him over the sound of the weaker demon's screams of pain from the blood he gave, Muzan was pleasantly surprised when Enmu understood the orders the first time around. Seeing as though it would cause trouble if the lower moon started to go around bragging about his newfound power and job, Muzan decided it would be best to keep a crimson eye on the demon.
This is what led to the scene before Muzan now.
Muzan had taken Enmu back to one of his many properties scattered across Japan, this one being tucked away in a lush, quiet forest in the middle of seemingly nowhere. The lower moon had not said a word throughout the entire journey there, and still refused to say anything now. Most likely out of fear.
Although it had been a long day of wrangling the lesser worms he called pawns (or "moons" if he was generous), Muzan did not want to show any weakness towards Enmu by resting. To busy himself, Muzan decided to do the tedious work the humans have him do in the job he took to please his human wife.
That insufferable woman.
With his bowler hat placed on his desk, Muzan had taken a seat in his large, leather chair, ordering Enmu to stand at the edge of the desk and face the opposite way. And, for extra edge, he was not to say or do anything.
It had been about two hours since then. The room was filled with only the sounds of Muzan's writing and the ticking of the grandfather clock in the corner.
Although he ordered it to be that way, Muzan was already sick of it.
Peering his red eyes up from the papers scrawled below him, Muzan fixated his bone-chilling gaze upon the back of Enmu's head. Muzan could see the corners of the lower moon's mouth turned upwards as he faced the wall, presenting himself with an expression of dumb content.
Freak.
Enmu was definately a curious specimen. So eager to die, yet so eager to please Muzan. The demon lord would have been confused if he were not who he was.
Perhaps it was his own boredom setting in, perhaps it was because he wanted to feed his already gargantuan ego, or perhaps it was just because he was tired, Muzan decided to speak up.
"Tell me," Muzan said, his deep, smooth voice making Enmu perk up slightly, "Why is it that are you so loyal to me?"
Enmu took this as an opportunity to finally move, but not without some caution. The lower demon only turned his neck towards Muzan, along with a tilt of his shoulder. Muzan noted the disobedience of orders, but decided to let it slide this time.
The rain must have told him to be generous that night.
"Why, Master Kibustsuji," Enmu said, a faint blush adorning his cheeks, "It is because I am so delighted to be in your presence, and have my power be of service to you."
The demon lord felt his jaw clench at this, his red eyes peering up at the lower moon from under his abyssal lashes. Although Enmu had an... odd, way of putting things, Muzan always did like it when someone stroked his ego, even if all they ever said was the same banter over and over again. He was nearly perfection, afterall.
Muzan sat quietly and pondered Enmu's response for a second, before formulating his own.
"Your power, as you put it," Muzan said, his voice firm, "What is it?"
Enmu's grin widened, "Dream Manipulation, Master. I can enter, manipulate, or control anyone's dreams however I want to. I can use it to kill from the inside, eating a person spirit first and body second. I can also put people to sleep."
Muzan wasn't necessarily impressed by this, but he wasn't disappointed either. An ordinary power, really. Nothing that could ever rival his own.
However...
Muzan's gaze flickered down to the surface of his desk. A flicker of a long lost yet not forgotten feeling bubbled deep inside of his being. A mere spark of light, really, a piece of warmth he felt from long ago, lost to the wayside by the vestiges of time.
It was something Muzan thought he would never experience again.
Dream manipulation, huh?
It might be worth a try.
Muzan looked back up to Enmu, sharpening his gaze, "Tell me, are you able to give... pleasant dreams?"
Enmu was surprised to hear this come from Muzan to say the absolute least. He took this as another opportunity to disobey orders and turn to Muzan again, this time fully and whole-heartedly. The lower moon looked right into those blood red eyes, looking for any sign of a rare flicker of humor or joking.
Muzan's gaze was serious, poised as ever.
Muzan was being for real.
Taking a pause to swallow, Enmu allowed his soft smirk to return to his gray, pale face.
"Why," the lower moon retorted, "I can, Master, yes."
Muzan eyed the lesser demon for a good second at his response.
This move was risky. It could damage his image. Yet, if he was to do this with any of his pawns, he would do it with Enmu. Enmu seemed to have no intent on harming Muzan or his image in any way; he was far too loyal for that.
Besides, if someone were to question the might of Muzan, he could just prove them wrong.
Muzan leaned back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other and lacing his fingers together, wrapping them around his knee. His icy gaze still on Enmu, he spoke again.
"I wish to see a pleasant dream."
Muzan nearly rolled his eyes when he saw just how wide Enmu's grin had gotten and just how flushed his face got.
It was repulsive.
But, if it meant what Muzan thought it would mean...
It was worth stomaching.
After a breif moment used to compose himself, Enmu's smile faded to normal again. He pulled up the sleeves to his coat.
"I will give you a dream where you will experience the happiest days of your life over again, Master Kibutsuji," the lower moon stated, "Is this to your liking or would you prefer something else?"
"No," Muzan stated flatly, "That is fine."
Perfect, even.
Enmu smiled widely one last time, holding out his arm and pointing it at the demon lord.
"Sweet dreams, my lord." Was the last thing Muzan heard before falling into a deep, deep sleep.
~~
"Muzan..."
Despite his blood demon art being so much weaker than his, Muzan wasn't quite ready for just how Enmu put him into a dream like that. Muzan's headache had grown ten-fold now, and he could feel that his face was scrunched.
"Muzan..."
Slowly but surely regaining his full consciousness, Muzan could first feel that he was in different clothes than what he had been wearing before. These ones were lighter, softer, and much more airy than his normal suit. Squinting open his crimson eyes, he saw that he was in what appeared to be a long, dark, flowing kimono.
The second thing Muzan could feel was that it was rather cool where he was, and that he appeared to be lying on the ground. Sifting his weight slowly, he could then feel that his head was lain upon what felt like two soft, plush pillows firmly squished together.
The third thing, however, took him a little longer to discern quite that it was. At first, he thought it was a pair of chopsticks running across his scalp over and over again. Upon, further thought, however, Muzan was further snapped back into awareness.
Those were not chopsticks.
Those were fingers.
All too familiar fingers.
"Muzan..!"
Muzan felt a stir deep down inside of him. He recognized this feeling, this touch, this warmth. It had been so, so long since he had felt like this. How long was it again? It had to be an eternity ago. An eternity wrapped within all time time in the world.
Muzan was speechless. Muzan couldn't move. Muzan was struck from deep within, and nothing in the world could ever compare to its blow.
"Muzan!"
Although the calling of the demon's lord name had been going on for some time now, he was just now able to respond.
Tilting his chin upwards towards the voice's source, Muzan nearly fell to bits right then and there. If he was someone else, he would have wept deep, earnest tears at the very sight of the being above him. For everything and nothing surrounded him as he studied the bright, radiant face above him, and nothing else seemed to exist other than that smile.
Other than her.
Her.
Oh, her, her, her.
His beloved. His sun, moon and stars. The ground beneath his feet and the air around him. His joy and love, his woes and sorrow. His fears and excitement. His warmth and his cold.
You.
You were really here.
"I was wondering if you were ever gonna wake up," you said, a faint laugh behind your voice, "You were out for so long!"
This scene was all too familiar to Muzan. He had replayed it in his head countless times, as if it were the only record left in the world.
He knew what this day was, and he knew all of your lines.
How could he ever forget?
Every moment he had ever spent with you had been a blessing.
Right now, his head was cradled in your lap, your soft, delicate fingers combing through his hair oh so gently as he had slept. It was deep into the night, and ordinarily Muzan would not be sleeping at this time. However, your touch was just so relaxing to him.
Everything about you was.
Today, you and him had spent the night wandering through the garden of your home together, chatting about anything and everything. It was only about two months into your relationship with Muzan. Muzan had first come to your home with the intention of eating everyone within the residence, but once he saw your face, watched you, saw your heart, your spirit, your you, he just couldn't.
He just...
couldn't.
You were human, yes.
But Muzan didn't care.
He was in love with you.
Muzan had yet to tell you the truth about him, however.
But that could come later.
"Muzan, are you alright?" He heard your voice echo again, snapping him out of his trance. He saw your face painted with worry, making his own features soften.
His darling angel. If only you knew just how much it pained him to see you with anything other than a smile.
Muzan reached his hand upwards, steadily maneuvering his fingers to brush your hair behind your ear and cup your warm cheek. He was shocked at how real you felt, shocked at just how similar it felt to all those years ago.
Perhaps Muzan had to give Enmu a reward.
The demon lord caressed your cheek gingerly with his cold, calloused thumb, savoring in just how warm your flesh was compared to his. For the first time in what felt like eons, Muzan felt a smile adorn his handsome features. Not one put on just to appease the humans around him, but genuine. The type of smile only you got to see.
Only you.
"I'm more than alright, my darling." He responded, his voice soft and warm, without the normal venom he gives to his subordinates. A voice reserved restrictively for you.
Finally, you let a soft grin come over your heavenly face again, making all seven of Muzan's hearts swell.
"I'm sorry if I woke you up," you said, "But it's about to be dawn soon. I don't want you to get a burn, so let's go in the house again, okay?"
Ah yes, the lie Muzan told you. He, of course, couldn't be with you in the sunlight (as much as he wanted to). So he had told you that he had a rare disorder that made him extra prone to sunburns and heatstroke.
Just something to keep you safe from the truth.
His soft smile still adorning his features, Muzan gave you a nod as he slid his head off of your lap. Since you were on your knees, you were quicker to stand than him. Brushing off your kimono quickly, you offered one of your hands to Muzan to help him stand, of which he gladly took. He had long since forgotted just how perfectly your hand fit into his, along with how radiant your kimono made you look.
Once he was back on his feet, Muzan couldn't help but to hold your arms, holding you a few feet away from him to simply admire you for a moment, his crimson eyes doing laps around your face and body.
You were perfect to him.
Every single thing about you was without flaw in his eyes. Not one curve of your body was too shallow or too wide. Not one strand of your hair was misplaced or without poise. Not one feature on your face took away from your radiant beauty. And you had not one bad bone inside of your body.
Muzan was never one to believe in angels.
However, if anyone in any part of the world were to tell him that you were one of them, straight from the heavens themselves,
He would believe them.
~~
As soon as Muzan stepped through the door, his hand in your own, the scene before him changed in one giant, peaceful flash of white light.
Before him now was no longer the house that he had shared with you all those years ago. Now, in its place, was a beautiful, lush springtime garden, all dredged under the cover of the night. It was not devoid of light, however. There were a few lanterns afloat in the water of the stream, as well as some within the structure of the small bridge that went over top of it. Flowers adorned every nook and cranny of the space, and the occasional insect or bird would make a brief appearance.
A small slice of paradise, just for you and Muzan Kibutsuji.
Fearing that you were no longer by his side, Muzan turned his head. His fears were quickly subsided when he saw you there next to him. Your delicate hands were placed on the railing of the bridge, and your eyes were fixated on the calm water below, almost as if it were a window into the heavens above. There was a small smile plastered on your face, and the delicate lights illuminated each of your features so perfectly.
Muzan knew this night.
This was the night he told you the truth.
The truth about him, about his "condition", about where he went for days on end, about why he couldn't walk with you in the sun, about everything.
This was the one night Muzan had ever felt fear.
"Is it really true, Muzan?" You asked, your gaze still fixated on the water below, "Are you really a demon?"
Muzan felt his lips part in small surprise. Even though he had replayed this night time and time again in his mind, it felt as if this were all happening for the first time over again.
Enmu really was good at this.
Muzan wet his lips before responding, setting his gaze on your precious, beautiful face and refusing to move it, "Yes, my love. It is true. I would not lie to you about this, I..."
A pause to collect this thoughts, before he could continue, "I kept it from you to protect you, (Y/N). I did not want any harm to come to you. My darling, I... I love you. My love for you knows no bounds. You are the stars that shine at night, and you are the shining moon above. Each time I look upon you, all I can stand to think of is how deep my love for you runs. I... I need you, (Y/N). I do not wish for you to be frightened of me, my angel. I would never, not ever harm you, nor let any harm come to you."
You still weren't looking at Muzan, yet your smile had yet to falter. Muzan felt a bubble of nervousness in his gut. Although he knew your response to his words already, even thinking of this moment never failed to make his stomach churn. He hoped his words to you were enough. He doubted that he had ever said anything more truthful in his entire life.
After a long pause of silence between the two of you, you closed your eyes and widened your smile. Then, you opened your eyes again, finally turning to face your lover. You looked Muzan right in the eyes, seemingly unfazed that you were standing so dangerously close to the most powerful being alive.
You were so brave.
Your heart was so big.
Muzan felt so overwhelmed.
"Muzan," you said, your cheeks dusting a light pink.
What you said next to him, Muzan could never get out of his head, never forget. No matter how much he tried, he would never not ever forget your words in that moment.
Within that one short, simple phrase, the king of demons fell in love all over again.
"I've always known."
~~
Another flash within his crimson eyes, and the scene had changed again. Nighttime again, of course, but this time within the confines of the bedroom you and Muzan shared. Both you and Muzan were nude, sans the blanket that covered the lower half of your forms. Muzan was on his back, one strong arm wrapped around you, the other cradling the back of his head. Your legs were intertwined with his, and your hair and hands were sprawled out on top of his lean, muscular chest.
Muzan knew this night as well.
It was his most loved night with you, but also his most dreaded.
How cruel fate was.
Stroking your back with the tips of his fingers, Muzan stared up at the ceiling above the two of you. Your body was flush against his, and as warm as ever. He wondered to himself if he was making you cold. If he was, you didn't seem to mind.
After a long period of savoring the silence between you and him, you softly snorted out a cute, soft giggle. This made Muzan angle his chin downward to look at the top of your head.
"What is it?" He questioned.
You giggled again, tilting your head up to look at him. Smiling, you turned your body to lay on top of the demon king, your breasts smushing against his own. Instinctively, Muzan laid his hands on your hips, rubbing small circles into them as he held you in place.
"I just find it funny that even though you profess to have so much stamina, you get tired after only two rounds." You explained to him, a playful mischievousness in your tone and eyes.
Muzan breathed out a smile, reaching up a clawed hand to brush your hair out of your face.
"As I recall it, you were the one complaining it was too much." He quipped back.
You snorted, "As if that ever stopped you before."
The demon let out a soft chuckle, leaning forward to give you a kiss on the forehead. Muzan couldn't remember ever laughing so genuinely before you came along. You truly were the light of his life. You filled his days with the sunlight he had long since forgotten, as well with the warmth no other demon could ever have.
He loved you.
He loved you he loved you he loved you.
And he still did.
He watched as you dropped your gaze to his chest, running your fingers along the flesh.
"Muzan..." you said, your voice more serious than before, "I've been thinking a lot lately..."
The demon king hummed, brushing more hair from your face.
"What has been on your mind, my love?" He asked.
You paused for a second before continuing on. Muzan could practically see the gears turning in your head.
"Well, I... I'm not getting any younger, you know, and I've been thinking. I... I really love you, Muzan. You're the only person I can imagine myself being with for the rest of my life. The other day, I was in town, and I saw the cutest family ever with a husband and a wife and two adorable little children, and it made me think..."
You looked up at him again, giving him a soft smile.
"What if we were to have a family of our own?"
Muzan could feel the same sense of joy, love, and pride in his chest as he did this same moment all those years ago. In this moment, he had never felt closer to you before, nor could you recall ever looking more beautiful.
He wanted nothing more than to be a family with you for the rest of eternity.
"Darling, you know what that would mean, correct?" He questioned you. He had told you long before that demons could only have offspring with other demons, for a demon baby would eat its human mother from the inside and kill her. It was gruesome, and had originally made you cringe at the thought. Muzan had thought your reaction was quite cute.
"Yes, yes, I know," you answered, "and I'd be ready for it. Even if I'm a demon, and even if I can never go out in the sun again or live normally ever again, I'd be happy knowing I got to be with you and our baby for the rest of time."
Muzan gave you a smile in return, his long, white fangs flashing in the light of the night. Leaning forward, he kissed you upon your soft, warms lips, gently pulling you closer to him.
This was one of the thousands of reasons why he loved you.
You were always so sweet, so kind and optimistic. He would admit, he did have a soft spot for you and you alone. But he didn't care. You were worth it. You were worth every single piece of money on planet earth. You were worth the sun the moon and the stars, and all the planets here and beyond. You were worth any injury, any heartache, and any trial or tribulation in the world.
The king of the demons unquestionably, unfathomably, undeniably, adored you.
Pulling gently away from the kiss, Muzan looked deep into your eyes, right past your pupils and looked right into your soul, your very being.
"I would want nothing more, my sunlight."
If Muzan could turn back the hands of time, he would have kept you here with him for the rest of everything and beyond.
For he did not know then that was the last kiss you and him would share.
~~
Another flash, and Muzan was no longer greeted with a visage of the past. Much to his dismay, the demon was now greeted with the sight of his office, with a smiling Enmu creepily watching him from across his desk.
What a fucking freakshow.
Taking in a breath of air through his nose, Muzan sat up tall in his chair again, rubbing the bridge of his nose with this thumb and pointer finger.
You were gone again. You were again nothing up a memory, a whisper of a time from the past.
Muzan could hardly bare it.
He had felt you, held you near him.
And just as fast as you came back, you were gone again.
This was a pain almost too hard to bear.
How long was he asleep for? Muzan really didn't care how long it was.
No amount of time with you was enough.
"Did you have the pleasant dream you wished for, Master?" Enmu asked the demon king. The lesser moon was lucky Muzan was in a somewhat good mood that day.
"Yes." Muzan replied simply, closing his eyes to rub them with his thumb, "Excellent work."
Enmu's smile widened at this, his cheeks turning pink again.
"Why, thank you, Master." He responded, his excitement prevalent in his voice.
Enmu really was a special one.
After composing himself again, Muzan scooted his chair forward up to his desk, fixing his gaze back onto his work sprawled out below.
Muzan just wanted to be alone again after that. He had been alone for years now, but he wanted Enmu out of the room. Although he could have easily ordered it to be so, he again did not want to show any weakness to the lower moon.
Christ on a bike. Muzan was so fucking stubborn.
He remembered all the times you nagged him for it.
Oh, what he would give to have you nag him one last time.
After a long bout of silence, the lesser demon decided to speak up again. He turned his head over his shoulder again to Muzan, trying to sound as naieve and innocent as possible.
"Master," Enmu said, "Where is she now?"
Muzan stopped his movements and glared up at Enmu with a venomous glare. How dare he even refer to you. You were so far above him, how dare Enmu even think to invoke your name.
Though Muzan wanted to kill the other demon right on the spot, he decided against it. He still wanted to see how Enmu would do on his mission. Also, Muzan had to admit that he did feel lighter and more generous after his dream with you. And he supposed it was fair that Enmu had his questions.
Feeling nice, Muzan decided to entertain Enmu's question.
Shifting his gaze back to the papers below, Muzan replied.
"Gone." he said, "The night she asked about a family was the last night I saw her alive. The next day, a group of slayers found her and our house. They knew who she was and that she was human, but killed her anyway. All in attempt to get to me. I found her in a pool of her own blood, limp and cold. The slayers died that same night."
Enmu's smile faded at this, his face taking on a look of shock. Closing his lips into a tight line, Enmu looked away, out of a quiet unconscious respect. Everything made so much more sense to Enmu now. Why the demon king was the way he was, his hatred for slayers, his cold-hearted, murderous nature.
It all clicked into place.
"I... I am sorry for your loss, Master." He said, his voice quieter than normal, "She seemed like a lovely woman."
Muzan peered up at the back of Enmu's head. Through his thick, black lashes.
"Yes..." Muzan said.
"She truly was."

Alyssa naeher x T she gets jealous and like wrecks us with a strap LMAO
I took this and ran with it. Might have gotten a little too carried away.
Warning: SMUT!! Some dom/sub themes, edging overstimulation, choking.
Alyssa is woman of few words and kept her emotions under control but sometimes jealousy is too much to handle even for the calmest of us. So when i ,admittedly, got a little too friendly with someone at a bar she didn’t take a liking to that. And now I was being dragged up to our hotel room by Alyssa. When we got into the room I was pushed against the wall, luckily for us both the rest of the team were gone for the next few hours.
“Do you think that what you did was funny or something?” She said into my ear, her tone making me shiver.
“I didn’t do anything. Not on purpose at least.” I said, I knew how the night was heading so why not push it a little farther.
Alyssa gave a humorless laugh before putting her knee between my legs. I softly moaned at the contact.
“You’re not as slick as you think you are. I can see right through you.”
Her hand found it’s way to my throat, squeezing slightly. After a few seconds, she grabbed my wrist before pushing down on to the bed.
“Take your clothes off. They better be gone by the time i get back.”
She disappeared into the bathroom, where the closet was located. I found myself getting nervous about what’s to come because of Alyssa’s insane stamina but a good nervous. I followed her instructions and was bare within seconds.
After about a minute she came back with a strap on attached to her hips which was pretty great in length. I sat up on my elbows. My eyes widened slightly and Alyssa had a smirk set on her face.
“Lay down.” She said in a demanding tone. Of course I did it immediately.
She got on the bed with her legs straddling me, staring at me as if I was some sort of prey. She leaned down and roughly kissed me before trailing her lips down to my ear.
“Here’s what’s gonna happen. You’re gonna lay there and I’m going to fuck you until you’re not able to walk for days. Got it?”
I nodded my head but that wasn’t enough. Her hand landed on my throat once again.
“I asked you a question.”
“Y-yes. I got it.”
We stared into each other’s eyes for a few seconds, hers were considerably darker than they were 20 minutes ago. Unexpectedly her hand had found it was to my center and stared rubbing small circles. I gasped at the feeling and shut my eyes. Alyssas free hand grabbed my jaw.
“Look at me when I fuck you.” She said in a deep voice. My eyes shot open. Just as I did this her fingers were going inside of me at a quick pace.
“Oh my god.” I moaned loudly. The quickness that I broke at was almost embarrassing. I already felt myself getting close to my release but of course Alyssa had the power of knowing everything about my body so when she sensed I was close her fingers were removed from me.
“Ugh.” I whined and slightly rolled my eyes.
“Attitude isn’t going to help you.”
“Whatev-“
I was interrupted by Alyssa quickly shoving her fingers into my mouth , in an attempt to shut me up, which I gladly accepted. Her fingers left my mouth and was replaced by her mouth, her tongue entering my mouth. She then began kissing down my body leaving marks every once in a while. She only stopped she got to my thighs which she took her time on, no doubt teasing me. I found myself whining at the amount of time without contact and I moved my hips slightly.
“Patience, my love. It’ll be helpful for you.”
Her tongue licked a stripe up my center, She moaned when doing this. She had always found great joy in eating me out. Her mouth then fully connected with me. Her tongue quickly getting to work. The moans coming out of my mouth were almost unreal. Her hands were strongly gripping my thighs. Again I found myself close to my release.
“God, I’m so close. Please. Please let me cum.”
“Not yet.”
I whined loudly. Alyssa pushed two fingers into me while her tongue took care of my clit. At this point my moans were more like screams.
“Fuck. Please Alyssa.”
“Go on, Baby. Cum for me.”
My orgasm struck through almost immediately. I could see white from the amount of pleasure coursing through my body. My hands gripped the sheets beneath me. My orgasm didn’t stop Alyssa though, her tongue was still getting to work. The pleasure was almost too much but it felt so good at the same time. My body tried to get away from her mouth but her strong grip on my thighs stopped me. At this point my legs were shaking. I quickly reached my second orgasm. Alyssa finally came up to face me and roughly grabbed my face before kissing me.
“Now it’s time to get into the real fun.” Alyssa smirked.
Without warning she had slammed the entire length of the strap on into me. I let out a loud moan somewhat of surprise. She wasted no time in getting to a quick pace. Pounding into me with her hand set around my throat. Fast and rough was definitely her style. My moans almost outweighed the sound of the bed frame hitting the wall. My hands scratched down her back. She leaned down to my ear.
“You think you’re so cute, huh? Flirting with other people? Well, you’re mine and only mine. You belong to me. Okay?”
I only moaned in response.
“Say it. You’re mine.” She said with an especially rough thrust.
“Ah fuck, I’m yours. All yours. God, I’ll always be yours.” I said with a rush.
“You’re such a brat. Maybe I should punish you more often. Put you in your place. What do you think about that?”
“Whatever you want.”
“That’s what I like to hear.” She smirked once again. “You can cum when you want but you have to 2 more times after.”
“ I can’t do that much.”
“Yes, you can. You have to.”
I came after that. And again. And again after that.
Alyssa finally got off of me. We’re both left with marks all over us. Alyssa left into the bathroom for a few seconds while I laid on the bed, not having the energy to move even an inch. Alyssa appeared again with water and pain killers. Although she just gave me the most mind blowing sex ever aftercare is a huge part of the process.
“You okay? I didn’t go too far did I?” She asked.
I chuckle at the difference of personality from 10 minutes ago.
“No, I’m fine. I promise. Just a little sore.”
“Good thing we’re off tomorrow then right?”
I just nod and cuddle up to her. Falling asleep almost immediately.

Letting out a cry of pain from the weird feeling, you woke up from your sleep, sitting up heavily breathing, you clutched your arms around your pregnancy belly softly not to hurt the baby.
Looking to the side, you placed your hands on your sleeping husband Hongjoong, gently shaking him to wake him up.
His sleepy eyes slowly opening, trying to get used to the darkness in the room. „Mhm, what is it, baby? Did something happen? Why did you wake me up for?“ hardly understandable mumbles left his mouth as he laid in his place, not moving a bit, still not woken up.
„Joongie, I think that... the baby just kicked.“ swiftly sitting up after those words came out of your mouth, his widened eyes in shock. „Really? Did the baby kick? Oh my-“
Hongjoong did the same thing as you did, laying his head on your belly, his hands wrapping around your bottom, trying to feel anything. And as the baby kicked again, your belly moving softly under his head.
Hongjoong almost jumped out of his place in amazement as he felt that. „Oh my Y/N, that was-your belly just moved, I felt it. Oh my God your baby just moved.“
Tugging up your top to expose your baby bump, he planted kisses on it, still astonished from the new feeling of a baby moving inside your body. „My baby? It's your baby too, it's our baby and it moved, Joongie.“
You both giggled cutely at the new feeling, it all felt so real, now that you could really feel your baby. „Come on, let's get back to sleep, you have to rest.“
Going back to sleep, he spooned you from behind, his arm embracing you close to him, caressing your baby bump until you fell asleep again.

„Y/N do you know where is the bottle with caraway seeds?“ Seonghwa shouted for you to hear, rummaging all over the kitchen, trying to find the seasoning he was looking for.
You were laying on the couch, resting with a book in your hands, since any excessive movement made your pregnant body tired. One eye on the flavescent pages of the book, the second one looking out for your husband Seonghwa who was cooking you two a meal, making sure he didn't hurt himself or mess something up.
Even though Seonghwa was a great cook, he was a bit clumsy so occasional cuts on his fingers weren't that occasional. Suddenly a dull pain hit your belly, causing you to cry in pain, wrapping your arms around your swollen belly.
As Seonghwa heard your painful whimpers, he dropped the knife he was holding, cutting his finger, but that wasn't what he cared for, immediately running over to you.
„Ah fuck it- Princess! Are you okay? What's happening? Is there something wrong?“ kneeling in front of you, letting his hands fall onto your knees. Your head lowered down, trying to overcome the pain that hit your ribs and abdomen.
„Ah, I don't- don't know, it just suddenly started to hurt so much. As if you hit my ribs with a bat.“ his worried expression turned into a soft one in a blink of an eye. „Isn't it... our baby kicking?“
Getting the pieces of information that flowed through your brain together, you realised that Seonghwa might have a point.
„Aww Y/N, I'm so sorry for what our baby is putting through, come on lay down, I'm gonna bandage my finger, and I'll give you a massage, maybe it'll relieve stress, what do you think?“ nodding you laid down, still not over the pain your baby just gave you.
Seonghwa ran back to the kitchen for a second, rummaging over the boxes of medicaments and this type of stuff, trying to find a plaster to wrap his finger in before going back to you and sitting on the couch. He laid your head on his lap, his hands massaging your stiff shoulders in circular motions while singing to you, trying to help you relax.

The weekend always meant Yunho's well-deserved rest. Usually, the two of you spent a weekend together in bed, lazily cuddling and watching series you abandoned throughout the week. Today was not any different.
Laying in the bed under piles of comforter, you nuzzled your back into Yunho's chest, letting out small mewls at how comfortable his presence was. Ever since you got pregnant, Yunho treated you like the most fragile crystal vase in this world.
Turning around to look at Yunho, his eyes closed as he was probably napping. Shaking his shoulders to wake him up, he opened his sleepy eyes. „Yunho...“ humming tiredly, he tried hard not to knock out, but listen to what you had to say.
„Remember the article? I think our baby moved...“ His no longer sleepy eyes opened widely, looking at you with excitement. „Really? How does it feel? Oh I can't even imagine it, let me touch.“
His loosened grip around your belly now tightened, his hand roaming all over your belly, trying to feel anything. „But I don't feel anything Y/N.“ pouting at you sadly, from not being able to feel his child kick.
„It's because the baby stopped moving, Yuyu. I'll tell you the next time it moves.“ He nodded dejectedly and laid back down, holding you close to him as you two resumed the series while waiting patiently for your baby to move again.

„That's him, that's the guy. The guy with the black hat is the killer!“ shouted Wooyoung as the aforementioned character of the movie you were watching appeared on the screen.
„Oh my fucking god Wooyoung, I swear I'm gonna sew your mouth one day, try to do this once again and you'll be the one left out when we have the next movie night.“
The boys started scolding Wooyoung as he once again spoiled the movie you were watching, some of them throwing pillows at him.
Switching between the channels you turned the TV off and decided to rather talk together since nothing watchable was on. You listened to the eight men that were discussing their next week's schedule.
Laughing at some of the sarcastic remarks your husband Yeosang made, you comfortably positioned yourself on Yeosang's laps, his strong arms keeping you close and wrapping around your baby bump protectively.
It was as if your baby reacted to the feeling of his dad's hands when you felt some weird twitches and tumbles. Shrugging your eyebrows at the weird feelings you supposed was the baby kicking, you lightly bent forward, your fingers circling over your bump, occasionally poking it to get another reaction from the baby.
„Is something wrong, Y/N?“ queried your husband Yeosang, catching the attention of the others, who stopped in their convo, instead diverting their attention to you.
„I-I think our baby moved...“ as soon as the words left your mouth, all of the boys jumped out from their seat, coming over to you and immediately placing their hands on your belly out of curiosity, leaving you and Yeosang speechless as the 7 men tried to feel your baby moving.
„Oh my god, guys I feel it kicking.“ San immediately scoffed at his words, responding sassily. „Shut up Wooyoung, you don't feel anything, you made that up because you just want to be the first one to feel our little niece move.“
„Get your hands off my wife's bump, you're irrelevant right now. Her dad should be the first one to feel her kick, her uncles are further in the line. Make your own child.“

Having to deal with pregnancy was hard, but having to deal with pregnancy when your partner couldn't be present all the time, was even harder. Many would've thought that having an idol husband must be a dream come true - a life out of fanfiction.
But at the same time, you have to deal with an exhausted man who has a packed schedule and hardly any free time. After the two of you got married, San and his group adjusted their schedule to have more time, after all, all the members weren't that young anymore and they also had their own lives.
When you got pregnant San made sure to be there for you as much as he could, it wasn't a comeback season so it was possible. However he was shooting for a drama he was supposed to play a lead role in, so he left for a 'job trip' for two weeks since they were shooting in Jeju Island.
Coming out of your shared bedroom, you yawned, still not completely woken up from your night sleep. Picking some milk out of the fridge to cook oats in, you made yourself oatmeal with fruit and a cup of coffee to eat for breakfast.
Digging your spoon into the bowl, you couldn't get yourself to have a bite. Your stomach feeling somehow heavy. It wasn't like the morning nausea you had in the first trimester, it was just a bad feeling as if someone was squeezing your stomach.
You at least drank the coffee as you sat down on the couch in your living room, turning the TV on to listen to watch some news. You caressed your baby bump out of a habit, it was almost like a routine, every morning when you and San watched the news, he'd always caress your belly.
Sipping on your coffee, you felt a sharp kick to your ribs and stomach, spilling the coffee all over your clothes. You shrugged your eyebrows, mouth wide opened as you tried to hold back your tears from the sharp and tingling pain.
„Ah, I've been carrying you for over 5 months and this is how you repay me with your first kick?“ Saying playfully to your baby even though you knew it can't hear you, you couldn't help but smile at the precious feeling of your baby kicking even though it was painful.
'I should probably say this to San, he'd be happy to know that our baby kicks' you said to yourself as you picked your phone and dialled his phone number, hoping that you won't interrupt anything and he'd be able to pick up.
„Good morning princess.“ you subconsciously smiled at his sweet voice as he called you the pet name he often used.
„Sannie, our prince kicked me. It hurts like hell, he's a strong boy, he must be taking after his daddy.“ you could feel the regret in his voice at not being able to be there when your baby kicked for the first time.
„Waah really? Ah I'm so sorry that I couldn't be there when he kicked for the first time, wait for me I'm home in 3 days.“

Chopping some pepper bells, onions and tomatoes, you put the aforementioned vegetables into a pot, pouring a bit of oil and letting it roast on a low heat as you poured some vegetable broth onto it afterwards.
Looking up to see your partner Mingi enter the kitchen with no t-shirt, his sweatpants long hanging as he rubbed his sleepy eyes, from having to wake up after coming home late after his practice.
„Good morning sleepyhead.“ He smiled at you beamingly, brushing his hair with his fingers and pouring himself a glass of water. „Good morning, babe. Woah, I'm so tired, my muscles stiffened as I slept, I must be getting old.“
Laughing playfully at his remark you resumed your previous activity of cooking, pouring some seasoning into the pot.
The sleepy figure of your partner Mingi, disappeared from your sight as he got behind you, his long limbs wrapping around your waist as he nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck, whining out of the comfort.
„Mingi we can cuddle later, I have to finish cooking, okay?“ He groaned in disagreement not moving a bit as his grip tightened around your '4-month old' baby bump, running his fingers over the material of your tank-top.
You were so engaged in cutting tofu, that you didn't pay any attention to the feelings in your lower belly. Sensing some tingling, you brushed it off, thinking it was only Mingi's fingertips trying to tingle you to make you stop doing your actions.
„What was it?“ Letting out a quiet 'what do you mean' you continued not taking your eyes off the cutting board. „Your belly moved.“ Turning over to look at him, you raised your eyebrows, not getting any of his words. „It didn't move.“
„It did Y/N, I felt it.“ Letting out a small chuckle you turned back. „Mingi, I'm not going to stop and cuddle you, this attempt to make me stop is hopeless.“ as you cut the food, you suddenly felt a movement in your lower stomach.
„Wait, oh my, it really moved. Woah, it must be our little princess.“ tears fell down your cheeks at the new feeling, happiness overflowing your veins. „See? I wasn't lying!“

Standing in backstage, you watched from behind as your husband Wooyoung performed their newest comeback's title song on the music show stage.
Swaying his hips and letting out soft angelic sounds off his mouth. Finishing it off as an ending fairy with his serious but hot pose. Bowing respectfully to the cameramen and staff, sweaty figures of the members left the stage as they returned to the backstage, breathing heavily from the dynamic choreography.
„You were amazing guys, as always.“ You exclaimed as they neared you, grateful smiles on their faces. Wooyoung took your hand on his way and you followed him to their changing room.
„Uhm, I'll wait for you outside while you change.“ you stated as you sat on the metal bench that was in front of the changing room. Running your hand up and down your visible baby bump, you closed your eyes, just trying to think peacefully about anything that came up to your mind.
A gentle thud in your womb breaking you out of your concentrated state. You focused on your swollen belly, thoughts running all over your mind. Could it be your son? Not paying attention to the sound of the door opening you still thought about the uncanny feeling.
Since it was your first pregnancy, how were you supposed to distinguish between those feelings?
„Y/N, I'm done, let's go, Yunho is paying for dinner.“ Looking up at his smiling you focused on his deep hazel eyes with little sparkles in them. „Youngie, I think our baby kicked...“
A really loud 'woah' left his mouth along with some cheerful squeals, alerting all the people in the hallways.
„Really? Did our son really kick? Don't play your jokes on me. We'll have to celebrate then, come on, give me your backpack and I'll treat you the best meal of your life.“
„You? Didn't you say Yunho is the one who's paying?“ you remarked playfully in the mood to tease him for every detail he says. „That's just a bare detail, come one honey.“

„What can I get for you?“ asked the young waiter dressed in a uniform with the logo of the café you were in.
„She's pregnant and she shouldn't drink much caffeine, so one strawberry and one watermelon lemonade.“ ordered your husband Jongho, before you could even open your mouth to say something.
Turning to face his caring and lovely smile, you pouted at him, for not giving you a chance to order something yourself.
„You know I can order for myself? And I didn't have any caffeine in a week, so I could at least have an iced latte.“ He shrugged his shoulders, as he gazed around the café.
„It's not about the caffeine right now. Do you remember? We had our first date here and drank the same thing, I just wanted to recall the memories.“ You smiled as you replayed those reminiscences in your mind.
„Who would've thought that a bundle of joy will come out of the single date, I can't express how happy I am. I still remember that day, I was so nervous and embarrassed myself so many times that I thought you would've never wanted to go out with me again, yet you did.“ you smiled at his remarks, thinking about how he almost tripped on his own foot from how nervous he was.
„I did. And there wasn't a time when I regretted, going out with you was the best choice of my life.“
As the waiter was approaching you with the lemonades, you felt fluttering movements occur in your lower abdomen. Jongho noticed the grimace on your face as you lightly hugged yourself, but waited until the waiter left.
„Is something wrong Y/N?“ You looked up to meet his worried face. „I- I don't know, there is a weird fluttering feeling in my stomach and it's just... weird.“ You answered as you took a sip of your tasty lemonade, his gaze softening.
„Y/N, it must be our baby, he started kicking, don't you think?“
