Hi all, thank you SO MUCH for staying tuned! 💜 I know we haven't been as active as usual on this account, but even though life has gotten extremely busy, we still have been planning behind the scenes, and monitoring all the news in the Ace community. 💖
Hey Asexual Tumblr! I am here to make friends and connect with fellow activist in the community...Twitter is becoming a hellscape and sadly a lot of us will be disconnected from a lot of our communities...It should not have to be that way but here we are...Our community is resilient and badass and we will get through this era of losing a space...

It's the second anniversary of the INTERNATIONAL ASEXUALITY DAY! On this day, I would like to share a personal account of mine. I'm demisexual myself and coming out as one isn't always easy. Firstly, as always, peer pressure. But if were just peer pressure, that might be possible to handle. Rather, it's seen as a way for people to gain attention by asserting that they are different. In simple terms, often the validity of people like me are questioned. The most irritating of all is when cis het people, especially not all, expect us to accept their invitations or the society expects it to be a one-look-let's-go kind of matter. They often don't understand how important it is to build a rapport and bond mentally before getting physical about things. In simpler terms, primary attraction is expected to be a given which often ends up in people not accepting a "NO". There are also circumstances where people don't understand how both primary and secondary attraction may not exist for some people. That's why it's important for us to educate our youngsters about the different kinds of people around them and the kind of person they themselves might be. It's also crucial to teach people how to say NO and how to accept a NO or another person's rejection. . . . Have you faced these same issues? Or any different ones? The Future: Yasmin Benoit in Attitude Magazine (Feb 2021)
We are the future! I'm honoured to be included in Attitude Magazine's first ever #Attitude101 influential figure list as a trailblazer in their The Future (25 & Under) category!
After such a crazy year, it’s amazing to have my work recognised like this. To be mentioned on the same list as incredibly accomplished people like Pete Buttigieg, Russell T Davies, Elliot Pages, Edward Ennifel OBE and so many others is so humbling. This is the kind of energy we're going to carry into 2021 - asexual and aromantic inclusion in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond!
Thank you all for your continued support throughout this wild ride. You can find me in their February 2021 issue, which is available now on newstands and to buy online! I'll be heading out to get my copy soon. 💜
There's a lot of people who don't know what asexuality is. It's asexuality awareness week so I thought I would talk a bit about it. Asexuality means little to no sexual attraction. For example, one could be in a relationship and have romantic feelings for their partner but they would have no sexual feelings. Or maybe they would only be feeling sexual attraction towards them once in a blue moon. Maybe they do feel sexually attracted to them after having spent a lot of time with them and having connected with them emotionally. Asexuality is a spectrum. There's all kinds of different people who identify with it. Sometimes, it's really hard for them to realize. There are sex repulsed asexuals, who don't want to have sex even if you threaten them. There are sex indifferent asexuals, who don't find sex interesting at all but would be willing to engage in it for the sake of their partner. And there are also sex positive asexuals who want to have sex, even like it. But they like the act itself and they don't feel sexual attraction towards the other person. There's all kinds of people, really. We live in a sex favorable community but some people just don't roll with that. They are different, and that's okay. Don't tell them "you just need to meet the right guy" or "it's just a phase". Don't try to fix them. They are not broken. Asexuals, or aces as they are usually called, just have a different view in life. They want to indulge in their hobbies and spend time with their friends instead of having sex or going out flirting with that random person in the bar. We are a minority. But we are still here. If you are an Ace, don't feel discouraged. You are not alone! There's many people who are asexual and just never found out. There's literally no awareness. There's countless of asexuals who stumbled across the term by mistake and identified with it almost immediately. So please, raise awareness! It will help us a lot! To all the aces out there: You are not broken! You are you and you should be proud for yourself! 🙏 Thank you for reading until the end! #asexualityawarenessweek #asexual #asexualawareness #lgbtq🌈 https://www.instagram.com/p/CVm9PT7qV8o/?utm_medium=tumblr

We're starting a podcast about alloromantic asexuals! Our upcoming short film focuses on an asexual woman finding her footing in the dating world, so we want to create a space online for people similar to our main character. Thank you SO much to everyone who has contributed to the film, your contributions helped us directly in getting the mic equipment. 💜
We need your help naming this upcoming show! Please comment your suggestions down below 😆
Would you tune in?? 🎤
I got the workout sleeves today, but the fabric is so thin they stretch and lose color when I wear them. And they’re a little short. 🤣😆😖Koreans and their little arms!🤣😆😖 ____________ #weightlifting #goals #strengthtraining #strength #strengthgains #strengthgoals #asexual #asexualpride #acepride #acepridememes #asexualmemes #asexualspectrum #asexuals #asexuality #asexualawareness #asexualityisreal #asexualitypride #asexualhumor #asexualmeme #asexualsarevalid #asexuallove #lgbt #lgbtq🌈 #lgbtpride
So I just started on a dating app. I believe in stating outright that I'm ace so that I'm never perceived as a bitch cause we are on a date and I'm "withholding" sex.
i had a conversation with a person who wanted to learn more about my perspective about what it means to me. They didn't necessarily understand what it's like, but they were respectful and wished me luck in finding somebody who respects my values.
I was nervous when we first started our conversation but I'm glad that we did and I hope that he carries the idea into the world that aces exist and we are valid.
