God I'm legit screaming thinking about my reply to this comment again tho

Like. Such an interesting aspect of the clones is that they did have their childhoods taken from them. It isn't the same as a species that develops at double the speed of humans! Cause they ARE humans. Which absolutely does not mean that they are adult sized children. They are adults. They think like adults. They are developmentally, physically and psychologically adults: but they are not the people they would have been, people with a whole well adjusted childhood behind them.

Which I think is frankly a fascinating thing to explore. It's a great metaphor. When looking at things like: if anyone bothered to ask, could they have consented to their place in the army? Which. Yes. On an individual basis they absolutely could. They are adults, they deserve the autonomy to make that decision and have it accepted, even if the choice they make isn't necessarily the one that another sentient with a different childhood might have made in their position. They can consent. But is it informed consent? Well no. They've kinda been brainwashed. Ethically, you're on unsteady territory there in asking them to choose when you know what their answer is going to be. Does that mean you shouldn't ask? Hell no! Of course you should ask. Does that mean you shouldn't accept their decision? Of course not! They're adults and it's their life.

The only way to approach this ethically would be to give them all the information beforehand and hope that they're as informed as possible. But really. Whatever you do, it isn't really right. The ethical thing is for noone to be in this position in the first place. This isn't ethical unless the clones did have childhoods and were not programmed to WANT to die for the republic and you don't have to ask them under those circumstances, because you've conscripted your army in a normal way.

Anyway my comment (and the fic) kinda went about this in looking at things from a Jedi perspective. Mace is asking. What the fuck do you do in that circumstance? Army has been raised and created in a horrible way, you had no idea and couldn't stop it and now they're being delivered to you. How do you do right by them? You can't! Certainly not as Jedi. Theyre in a ethical trap. They can only try their best but whatever they do, they are promoting the fucked up system that put these men in that position in the first place. Even if they could walk away from the republic (highly debatable) You either leave them to fend for themselves knowing there will be a huge loss of life, or you go in to war alongside them, hoping that in doing so you can smooth the way for them. Hoping that you'll figure out how to free them soon. Hoping that you can save as many of their lives as possible.

Like wow. Terrible situation to be in for anyone. No way you're getting out of that one without betraying them in some way. But for the jedi? Who rely on a philosophy that promotes the importance of all sentient life, to stop them falling and pretty much losing themselves to a mystic power that's gonna do all it can to turn them in to a time bomb, destroying themselves and hurting as many ppl as possible on the way out. Like I can't think of a less conflicting ethical dilemma for them to find themselves in. The war destroys the Jedi. If Palpatine was patient he wouldn't have needed order 66. They were never getting out of that alive. The war broke them, it was in complete opposition to their philosophy and they were tearing themselves apart from the inside.

Anyway this is my comment:

"It is!!! I think this is such a key way that its really hard for anyone to do right by them and be fair. They are adults, it wouldn't be fair to force them in to the life of a child. Or to patronise them. But in the same hand, they shouldn't be adults, something was taken from them and it's not fair to just ignore the fact that their childhoods were stolen from them. They aren't the people they'd be if they got to live those childhoods, but they aren't children either. They think like adults, they feel like adults; but adults that grew in to adults without the learning potential that a proper childhood provides.

It's an extreme, but it's an extreme of an issue that's unfortunately common irl. As an adult whose childhood didn't give you what what you needed, you are innately aware that you lost something that you can never get back. You can make the most out of who you are now, but without a time machine, you'll never have the childhood you should have had. And that, I think is something that Jaster himself is very aware of. When Mace tells him this, he knows the weight of it and he immediately knows that for the clones, it's so much worse.

Like I don't think it should be understated that the whole situation with the clones and the Jedi being asked to lead them was like perfect Jedi torture. It's a complete moral quandary and every way betrays their philosophy. The clones were slaves. They were born to be soldiers, trained from birth, their entire lives built around this war they didn't choose. But it was all they knew. They were indoctrinated in to that life from birth. Had the Jedi found a way to free them, I honestly think the vast majority of the clones would have been offended. They had been raised to believe their life's meaning was to fight for the jedi. They wanted to. It may not have been an informed decision, but, they did want it.

And that's when you really come in to difficulty with, these are adults that should be children. Because it isn't fair to tell another adult that they are wrong to want what they want and that they only want that because they don't have the experience to realise its a bad option. You can't be like 'I know what's best for you'. They are just as much of an adult as you. They are just as capable of thinking things through as you are. But in the same hand, had the clones been born in to a different life, would they still want to be soldiers? Probably not! But they are already adults by this point, their brains are developed, they can't get that childhood back. So to say 'I know that's what you want but it's only because your lack of childhood made you incapable of seeing what's right for you' would be humongously fucked up. There really isn't a way for the Jedi on the council to approach them that doesn't betray at least a part of what the clones are and I think that's important to address."

I do think it's a really interesting thing to chew on and a lot of the debate I see around it in my eyes misses the point completely. There isn't a right answer. There was never going to be a right answer. This didn't happen accidentally. Palpatine set it up to cause as much damage as possible. The clones were born betrayed and the Jedi, were fated to play a part in that, whatever they did. There was no way out.

- hit that character with the beam. you know you want to. make them trans, make them gay, make them poc, make them disabled, make them fat, whatever makes you happy

- if someone is mean to you blow them up (hit the block button)

- be nice to others. support their art, their stories, their ocs and headcanons and ships, even if you arent very interested in them. stay curious!! ask about peoples ideas, because most of the time they want to share just as much as you do

- if other people have different interpretations or ideas, you dont have to agree or disagree with them. its okay to appreciate others opinions without telling them that theyre wrong

- if anyones ships/ideas/etc make you too uncomfortable, block them.

- if someone is too annoying to see in the tags, block them.

- if anyone is mean to you, block them. especially hate anons

- write whatever you want always. draw whatever you want always. draw those girls kissing draw that enby covered in blood write about that man going to see the dentist

- draw them as furries, as dragons, as humans, as objects, whatever your heart desires

- your selfship partner loves you always

- people arent always right about characters. sometimes theyre way far from canon, and its not really your place to correct them. if it makes you too uncomfortable block them.

- some people choose to not follow canon. do what you want forever, you are always right about your blorbo. you are not limited to canon or what the fandom depicts the character as

- dont be the one to send anon hate

- its okay to be a hater and a lover. you can hatepost on your blog just as much as you lovepost. just dont main tag it (thats mean) and dont add it onto other peoples posts who like what youre hating on (thats also mean)

Im so in love with the narrative use of sentimonsters in ml???? And how it serves as a metaphor for parents who are Wrong??

You have Félix, who’s the most direct case of “parent thinks that having a child is like a little trophy and checkmark on the list and doesn’t want the child to actually be a person or exist or cause inconvenience.” His father literally didn’t see him as a person and based on the fact that he literally broke Félix’s miraculous he seemed to see Félix as either disposable or unbreakable. There was no sense that he needed to be loved or protected.

But then you also have Adrien, who Gabriel *theoretically* loves. I think Gabriel actually thinks that he loves Adrien as a person. But he has this idea that he can make Adrien happy through obedience alone. He thinks he can just order Adrien to be content or to have the same priorities as him. He calls Adrien melodramatic a few times even and it’s like???

Gabriel *theoretically* wants Adrien to be happy but it doesn’t cross his mind that it’s going to take more than him yelling “hey Adrien i order you to be calm and content.” And ordering Adrien to love the career Gabriel Chooses and love the girl Gabriel Chooses for him and the hobbies that Gabriel Chooses for him. And when that doesn’t work he decides that Adrien is just Beyond His Help and will be better only with his mom there.

And it’s like???? Very fun nuance with this idea of,,, you cannot yell or force someone into being happy,,, it doesn’t matter if you have their best interest in mind,,, if you never listen to what they actually want or see them as a human person then you’ll still be the villian in their story

And THEN!!!!! You have Kagami who’s a completely different case even though she starts with the same circumstance. Because Kagami IS treated like a person and has a good amount of autonomy. It’s just all Conditional. She can do whatever she wants with her life as long as its also exactly what her mother wants. And her mother doesn’t always explain why. And the thing with that is!!! It DOES work for a while!!!! She does trust her mother and actually talk to her about things. And she will defend her mother to the ends of the earth.

But all it takes is that One argument where kagami says “hey . please stop making me date adrien. i dont want to . its hurting me” and tomoe TAKES HER RING instead of listening. And its like. Thats IT.

It doesnt matter if you spent years making a foundation of trust in a relationship because Eventually your kid is Going to grow up and theyre Going to disagree with you on Something Eventually. Kagami was so ready to listen to whatever her mother had to say but her mom didn’t elaborate on anything she just basically said “okay if you wont listen without question you dont get to have autonomy” and of COURSE kagami’s gonna be like. Okay. Bye then.

And i just think it’s soooo cool how there’s these different Layers of “parents forgetting that their child is a person and not a tool for your own personal gain” and that ml shows how it can manifest in so many different ways and it shows that it messes ,up trust and relationships and then it also shows that the kids are all okay once they have love and support and someone who treats them as a person with autonomy

and theres this theme of “it is not too much to ask that you be treated like a human person . no matter how broken or how much of a disappointment you think you are. you are still in the right for demanding to be seen as a person.” And i just. I really love my senti kids i love them soooo much

Everything was going according to plan. Kaeya comes home, you give him a big old hug and kiss, and then you have a meal or go on a walk together. Whatever it is that Kaeya needs to unwind after a long mission you will do to get his mind off of things.

Whenever it's a dangerous mission he makes sure to either send a messenger ahead of the troops to give an accurate list of returning knights to the citizens, or run home as soon as he finishes checking in at headquarters. He knows that if he doesn't, that knot of anxiety as you wait for him to come home is just going to get worse and worse.

Thanks to how considerate he is, you tend not to have to worry too much about whether or not he'll come home safe. He keeps his communications regular, and he has been getting better at not constantly trying to risk his life because he knows he has someone to come home to. Everything is fine. Until it's not.

Kaeya's letters aren't being sent and you try to imagine it's just because they get lost. It's normal for the letters to be delayed as the birds either lose their way or the scout's path gets interrupted by a threat or misdirection.

It's not until you remember him telling you that yes, this was going to be an especially dangerous expedition that you really start to panic again. You know that if Kaeya's saying that then it really is going to be bad. He tried to get sent off with a smile, but your worries never fully abated. It just had moments of being better or worse.

That's why when he shows up at your door, panting from the exertion of running all the way from headquarters and apologising you can't resist the urge to jump his bones. You don't even think you're turned on, but you're desperate to feel him, confirm that he is indeed real but you know he understands with the soft kisses he peppers on your skin.

He's about to take off his shirt, straddling your hips when he hears the distinctive sound of your sniffles. Yanking the fabric over his head, he leans down to the sight of you crying, shushing you gently as he kisses your tears away.

You wrap your arms around him tightly, any sort of arousal you could have had from the situation immediately gone as your brain flashes through all of the worst-case scenarios. You know that none of the end with him like this, holding you tightly against his chest as the heat of his body seeps through your still-clothed chest. He's trying his best to soothe you, wishing he knew what to tell you to make everything better.

You let him take over, sobbing into him as he repositions the two of you to lie on your sides. You bury your face in his neck, legs wrapping around his hips as your nails dig into his back. He bites back a low grunt of pain, a small part of him appreciative that he can feel it. It reminded him he's still alive.

The two of you just hold each other like that, drifting in and out of consciousness as the space between your bodies only gets smaller.

chaos lord hcs i consider canon cus thats what hc means lol

chaos lords tend to take a few traits after their familiars.

klarions pupils work the same way cats do. slits when hes relaxed, big and round when hes excited. he may purr on occasion but its usually only directed at teekl when shes snuggled into him. he likes to push things off of tables but thats not a familiar trait thing, he just saw teekl do it once and thought it looked fun.

child is cold to the touch and if the light hits her right her skin seems opalescent. her bones are partially transparent and looks like its made from opals and white quartz despite being solid bone

chaos lords need their familiars to be concious to stay properly on the mortal plane. thus, they need to sleep when their familiar is asleep. e.g. klarion wont ever discorporealize from teekl taking a catnap but he has the option of phazing in or out of the mortal plane for a while (annoying but harmless), waking her up (worse) or taking a nap w teekl (best choice)

in fact pretty much all chaos lords (and lords of order if the shoe fits) revolve their daily schedules around their familiars sleep schedules, despite familiars sleeping far less than normal animals

child cant sleep because of flaw. this does not affect her in the slightest.

sometimes klarion (specifically) will just drop dead. you know when cats loaf and suddenly their head just drops so theyre loafing face down and asleep? yeah, teekl fell asleep and klarion didnt notice and now hes fallen face first on the floor and is snoozing away. he could fall off the empire state building and not notice until after teekl wakes up

you cant wake him up. hes dead to the world until teekl wakes/is woken up and even then he might keep snoozing for a while before he wakes up on his own

vandal has, more than once, had to deal w his snoring during a meeting

his snoring isnt actually that loud if hes lying down properly. he tends to sleep like a cat tho. literally Wherever

lords of order generally dont have to be on the mortal plane very often and actively avoid it, unlike chaos lords who delight in being able to go, so its rarer for them to need anchors or familiars. nabu was basically their get out of work card

chaos/order lord language is mostly consistent of loud humming, hollow noises, and clear tones. the way electricity sounds, ice cracking, thunder rumbling, tuning forks, and so on also appear on occasion, and its easy to compare the noise they make to the sound of a planet spinning. there is a mild telepathic aspect of it used to convey mood and feelings as well. its like body language but psychich, and no actual words, thoughts or images are spoken psychically

its common to choose what noises are used based on favourite sounds and tones, hence the need for the telepathy. telempathy?? yeah thats a word now. gender is also linked to noises.

gender isnt really a thing the way it is for humans. sex as well, but genetics are. lords of whatever reproduce by deciding "i want a kid actually" and then manifesting a soul for that child. ideally you want between 2-5 lords manifesting at once so theres a variation in the powers used to bring them to life, if you only manifested a child from one lord youd just get a badly made copy of that lord.

manifesting a child is not seen as sexual, its more like witnessing a birth, so its not uncommon for children to just pop up out of nowhere in public. generally this has few reactions from others beyond congratulations. the knowledge of how to do it is still kept from children and young lords to prevent bad copies or irresponsible duplications from inexperience. not to mention that parenthood is kind of a big deal, you dont want a lord who was born last millennia try to make a shit duplicate, fail, and essentially rip themself in half, erasing them from existence

it is seen as. vulgar. to ask someone to help create a child. you generally say out loud "i want a child and need help" and suitors will offer their help. after that its pick or choose.

biological sex isnt a thing due to the way children are created, but gender still is there to some degree. some dont have one at all, while some have very strong feelings of it. its linked massively to noises and is seen as an accessory, like wearing a favourite bracelet or a cool tshirt. for some only hollow and humming tones is the perfect gender, for others low thundering rumbling with highpitched tones is excellent, and some might prefer using all the noises or stick to just one, and some may change periodically

physical bodies tend to be malleable enough to fix if they dont like what theyre given or alter if they change their mind, but they generally view genitals and sex characteristics as aestethic functions and do as they see fit based on what they feel looks nice and is more useful for them

nabu views the host body as just a host and therefore does not ever alter the host body. hes content w whatever he gets, he just lives there after all

lords of chaos and order have different dialects. its unclear to everyone else what the difference is though.

lords may take the soul of a mortal and turn it into a chaos lord/lord of order. this is called adoption :)

due to personal reasons, klarion may or may not be adopted depending on what backstory i want to use

(born as a chaoslord sometime between the beginning of the universe and roungly 5000 years before meeting vandal and was never human or anything else VS born in Limbo Town 2; The Adaption To Make It Less Lost Tribe Of Roanoke And More Homo Magi + Fae Cross Species From A Place Called Limbo Town, became a very powerful but chaotic magic user, chaos lord said "i want that one" and approaching him, klarion accepting and upon his death hell ascend, got murdered in cult ritual, became chaos lord and adopted by his mother (he has 2 now) and some time space power shit happens so he ascends into the past where his new mom who knows time chaos adopted him)

chaos lords are always red and lords of order are always yellow but the hue and saturation varies. some are more pink, some are kinda orange, some are blood colored, some have specks of different colors or ombres or stripes, some are very light or very dark, and so on etc etc

klarion has more than once refered to lords of order as "piss rocks from space"

friend and i had a craaaazy idea (that 100% is not what is happening but wow what if ok?)

basically buddie angst in 100th episode, they don’t really talk about it until the next episode aka titled ‘you don’t know me’ and somewhere in that time they end up spontaneously kissing

which they of course do not acknowledge / choose not to acknowledge until 706 where they are kinda like ok fuck it

but everytime they try to get away / escape for some time alone, or like try to make a move, some disaster happens and prevents them from actually Doing anything

and then maybe they have a talk like “i don’t know what this is man, but we shouldn’t do this” and basically using all the disasters as a reason that they should not be together / whatever the fuck they were trying to accomplish

and yknow theyre both respectfully sad about it, but also thinking ‘ok this is probably for the best, it’ll be fine he’s still my best friend’

and things are fine things are going as well as they can after kissing your best friend and then same time sort of getting rejected but alas!

until.

the finale / episode before the finale,

something happens and one or both of them almost die again (trapped dads theory my beloved) and eddie’s like ok fuck no not like this

so it ends with eddie showing up at bucks doorstep, and basically confessing his love for him. like “i do not want to spend another second of my life without you in it” “i love you, evan” something cheesy

and ofc buck accepts and is like oh thank fuck i am so in love with you i can barely breathe when you’re gone

-he'll happily play games with you on stream. but it will take a lot of convincing for him to put on a Pokemon onesie and sit down with you as you chat with the viewers, he of course gives in because he cant say no to you forever. soon he fully embraces it and takes a photo of the two of you in matching Pokemon onesie and posts it. and sometimes the two of you dress up your own Pokemon in cute things and have them join in on the stream! the viewers really enjoy that.

-he defiantly supports your goal of being one of the best streamers. hes always there to take care of you when youre in need while streamin, need water? hes on it. youre humgry? he makes you a 5 course meal so you could enjoy, he doesnt mind you watibg or drinking on stream but sometimes he makes you take a break so you could actually enjoy yourself and not strain yourself. he makes sure streaming doesnt stress you out and that its something that you should enjoy and not feel like a chore.

-as i said before, he loves to play games with you while streaming. thet two of you would be playing a horror game and people would expect you to be the one screaming and holding onto Raihan, but its actually the opposite. hes screaming at the horrific visuals holding onto you as you concentrate(youre carrying the whole game, he died and just let you go on without him), trying to beat the game so you guys could play a happy two player game.

oh my GOD SELF AWARE COVE HAS SO MANY POSSIBILITIES IM GONNA BE THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR AGES

JUST- the thought of Cove slowly realizing he’s going through a loop over and over and over and with every loop the MC starts to look and feel stranger and more far away to Cove and it’s driving him INSANE. Cove starts to keep track of these loops and notices that sometimes things get ever so slightly different or drastically different (say the players deciding to romance a different character or is doing a 100% platonic playthrough etc etc)

THE WHIPLASH COVE WOULD FEEL WHERE IN ONE LOOP THE MC IS ALL LOVEY DOVEY THEN IN THE NEXT THEYRE COLD AND INDIFFERENT TOWARDS HIM CAUSE THE MECHANIC OF COVE FEELING THE SAME WAY WOULD JUST BREAK UPON HIM BECOMING SELF AWARE

Cove having to deal with the feeling of closing his eyes as an adult only to open them and see he’s 8 years old again. What the hell just happened???? He was just at his own wedding with the love of his life and now he’s suddenly a crying child back on the poppy hill!!

AND THEN- and then Cove paying more attention to the MC as the loops go by and seeing them fade into this weird uncanny husk, they’re starting to feel more like a puppet than a person, and it terrifies him. What’s going on??? Are they okay?? Why is this happening to them????

Soon enough as he looks at the MC he finally notices and realizes that the MC “never existed”. This whole time the person he’s spent basically his entire life with never existed as someone in Coves world. No, instead they’re just a projection of someone else. Who? Coves not sure, but he feels like that whoever it is they’re the person who he’s actually been falling for over and over again.

And at that realization he come to the conclusion that he needs to meet this person beyond the veil, and he needs to meet them now.

This got kinda horror adjacent I apologize I got carried away-

it tears him apart every time bc if you choose to romance someone else or not befriend/romance him, he can't say anything different since he doesn't have control over the system and he doesn't wanna alarm you

so he's forced to feel indifferent to you, and even in between he can't talk to you bc you're not real, the "you" that's here isn't interested in cove, and if "you" do take interest in him it's bc of the system, and everything is set in place as always

he actually prefers you like this compared to the game. you can say whatever you want without limits or prompting. and he can see your expression, hear your voice, actually touch you...

oh, and please don't go anywhere without him if possible or look at other men, fictional or real, with interest. he's everything you need, you've made him to fit your needs every time. you've came back to him hundreds of times in the end, so if you see smth you like on another man, cove will change his style, look, or behavior so just stop looking else were.

König using your shampoo and soap is both silly and flattering to you, its obvious that he’s trying to hide the fact that he is using them. But you’re no idiot to his doings, so when you come home one day after being gone for awhile, his scent hits you. And you realize he identically smells just like you, at first you said nothing, since of course he was your lovely partner and you didn’t mind that your partner uses your own hygiene products from time to time. It also meant the scent was to his liking, and that was even better.

But once your shampoo and soap just began to basically run out, and his stay the same you realized you had to say something about it or else you’ll have to continue buying more and more, and these products aren’t this cheap to begin with.

You cornered the man once you caught glimpses of him, the man seemingly sensing your reason of approach, cowered away and you sweetly called out his name.

“ Ko. ”

He looked at you, his eyes locking with yours for few seconds before looking away, he spoke with a stutter. And you hardly could contain an amused smile, he was too darn adorable for you, you almost forgot the reasoning of approach.

Even though you always made sure to assure him every time he felt anything in such way, this time you just pretended to not hear any word of his sentence, because you rather he say it confidently.

“ come again ? ”

The man looks at you with widen eyes, but he then again looks anywhere else than your own face. And you felt a little frustrated with how much eye contact breaking he’s doing these days, you knew your job wasn’t nice to both of you, demanding your attendance for hours then days then months on occasions.

Which meant he was left to do some self love on his own, while probably brooding about certain people working with you who were certainly taking your ‘ attention ‘ while doing your job. You always came back home feeling regretful for neglecting the thought of nurturing your relationship further more, would that be possible though with how much time you both don’t rightfully have?

“ Come on.. what did you say hm? ”

Your hand would gently run against the scar adoring your lovers cheek, he swiftly took a hold of your hand into his. And he would lay his lips flat against your palm planting a chaste kiss before snuggling further into it, he then took a deep breath, before releasing a heavy sigh too.

“ Scheiß-.. I miss you.. everyday I miss you so much, mein Engel.. without you here or your scent I just go crazy.. ”

He said with such urgency, and you would lie if you said you weren’t a little surprised with every word coming from his mouth. But he continues before you could say something yourself, his words even demanding much more from you than you could give.

“ mein Ein und Alles, even if I use whatever soap or perfume you put on I can’t seem to forget the distance that leaves me separated whenever you’re not here with me.. ”

You couldn’t grasp how forlorn and desperate this man sounded to you, and you take a little moment to analyze his words, his eyes now look at you with such force it pulls your breath right from your lungs. Such man could love so much he feels empty when you’re not around him, it’s simply a rare thing to be witnessed.

“ I didn’t know you.. felt that.. ”

What you couldn’t manage to muster up with words you did with actions, you took his whole face into your hands pulling him close till you could feel his warm breath fan over your face. You let your lips press against his, his lips warm but not soft, and parted so slightly. You could feel his heart hammer against your chest so loudly, once you pull a way you hear him say with such sway in his tone.

“ Ich liebe dich.. ”

Notes: Yep the first one! I will say it was a bit interesting writing for Yor just because idk if she would get close to Loid should she already have an S/O. Loid I could see still doing it for the sake of the mission, but Yor was more tricky.

Franky

Can't help but laugh. He apologizes, but he's laughing while he's apologizing.

As if the dumb blonde would ever be more important to him than you. Do you know how many life threatening missions that bastard has taken him on? Like hell Franky would care more about Loid than you.

Also what kind of name is Twilight? Sounds like he hadn't gotten out of his angsty teen phase. Seriously Franky just goes on a rant about how "awful" Loid is while you're great.

Just please don't tell Loid that he said any of this. Franky would like to keep living, thank you very much.

Loid

Yor has become important to him for his mission (not that he’d ever admit to actually liking and being friends with her). You’re so much more than just his mission.

Loid doesn’t let anyone get too close, right? You’re the one exception to that. The one thing that would make him pause when choosing something drastic (if your safety is involved with the choice, anyway).

Yes he has this fake family with Yor, but again, that’s all fake. You’re real. What you two have is real, as cheesy as that is.

He knows he can’t spend too much time with you right now because it’d look very suspicious, but he promises that after this mission that it’s back to you. Whatever you want to do, he’ll do it (granted he doesn’t have HQ calling in every 5 seconds).

Yor

She’s a bit of an airhead and doesn’t understand why you’d feel insignificant to some guy she met at a tailoring place. Sure the two of them have somethings in common, but she loves you.

Yor isn’t afraid to tell you how much she loves you either. Maybe in the beginning of the relationship she would fluster easily, but now she is always happy to give you a hug and hold you close.

Ends up feeling guilty because it’s her job as your girlfriend to show you how much she loves you. Will just give you puppy dog eyes and constant apologies while thinking she’s a failure as a girlfriend for how you feel.

While she reassures you that you mean a lot to her, she’ll probably need some reassuring that she hasn’t done anything wrong. There will probably be quite a few tears during this talk.

Yuri

So on one hand, she is his family. She’ll always be near and dear to his heart. But on the other hand, you’re the one he’s sharing his whole life with. Eventually.

You’re the one that will get to know everything about him (eventually, he needs to work up the courage to tell you some things still). He’s kept secrets from his sister, but does his best not to keep them from you.

What do you want him to do to prove to you that you’re amazing and wonderful? He’s not going to do anything to hurt his sister, but he’ll get you a thousand roses. He’ll walk on glass. He’ll swim the ocean and maybe fight some dolphins for you.

He has a lot of money too. Money can’t buy happiness but he’ll sure as hell try if it’ll make you smile and know that you’re so important and special to him.

i may seem to lean in more towards romanticism of zolu but imma be real here

theyre a whole secret third thing to me like— idk how to explain it it other than their love and bond transcends what romance and platonic. yes i will draw them smooching and have hearts flying all around them but it is not exactly romantic/platonic... (i mean honestly i dont mind how ppl interpret zolu whether its my art or in general)

bc i saw this one comic that just... perfectly described zolu and the strawhats to me? it was about law catching zolu and then discussing with the other strawhats about it and they explained that luffy does in fact love everyone equally and the same. for luffy, romantic nor platonic is Not a thing to him. (this is how i view luffy's aroaceness !! love isnt a category for him. love isnt something he could just pick and choose or whatever. love is just... loving someone. love is for the people very dear to him.) and in the comic, the strawhats say that zoro's the one and only guy who could keep up with luffy's energy and antics. so they dont mind the things they do together in privacy or in front of them. they know how much luffy loves them ALL EQUALLY and they all love him back

on topic of zolu and aroace... i've been around spaces and talked to a few zolu shippers (qpr shipping count) and noticed how many of us are at least on the aro/ace spectrum. there's just Something about zolu's special relationship that attracts us, and if you ship them and are aro/ace, im certain you'd agree. (even if you arent, we can mutually agree that they are a third thing, right?) like, theres something so... aroace about their relationship. they can be seen as romantic and they can be seen as platonic, but what can be absolutely certain is that their relationship is definitely queer. bc it's not something you can easily describe or that their relationship is The Norm. theyre insane for each other. luffy's the sun. zoro's the moon. luffy's a good. zoro's the king of hell. they complete each other. they absolutely need each other.

my memory is horrible and i cant say the words properly but basically: zolu's love and relationships transcends romance and platonically. yes you can see it as either, but as an aroace, i Feel it is way beyond that.

and again, will repeat it a million times over (mind you, it's not canon. it's a widely accepted HEADCANON. if you think luffy's sexuality is something else, thats cool): i believe that luffy's aroaceness is way beyond "not interested in attraction/xyz/whatever" like yeah, he doesn't think about it because it doesnt matter much to him. he doesnt apply whats romantic or platonic to HIS relationships. he can recognize romantic, sexual, platonic things. it's just not his thing to really think hard about (he doesnt think much in the first place (affectionage)) he feels love for the people he cares about and if they feel loved by him, however he approaches the love (and if they accept that kind of form) thats all that matters to him. he doesnt label/categorize love because it makes no sense to Him to prioritize someone over the other just bc he loves that someone a different way. he loves everyone equally and treats them as equals.

and when it comes to Any luffy ships, calling his significant other "partner" is what fits best. theyre not just best friends, theyre partners.

this is a mess of a rant but this is just how i feel abt zolu, luffy, his ship pairs, and his aroace hc :]
