why are men literally the fucking worst

OK SO im really sorry it took me THIS long to get to this i quite literally.. forgot i had smth in my inbox woopsies. the reason i remembered is cause mootie posted some Spine hcs and i was like "woah"

anywho my jon headcanons some sad some random /ref

First of all i think that his relationship with Peter Walter I would be far from close. he would be seen as the type of child who's both "too much mess to take care of" and "strong enough to take care of himself" if that makes sense. Peter did love him as his creation but would openly admit that he's not his proudest one, meanwhile Jon wouldn't feel much connection at all. he sympathized with his creator but only in a way he would with any other human being, there was more gratitude than love

Jon struggles with constant malfunctions and his mechanisms are a mess (partially because he gets himself in trouble all the time), so at one point Peter would get tired of fixing him so frequently, and tell him that he can just "walk some things off". That thought stuck to the bot and he would think of all of his malfunctions as slight inconveniences, i mean, he can still perform so why pay attention to the constant neck pain or powering up struggles ? it just became a habit and he kind of forgot that things like that shouldn't be ignored

After a long while when Peter Walter VI grew up enough to start learning more about how automatons work, Jon would be used as a "lab rat" (not really but its just what he himself called it) for young VI to practice fixing mechanisms. thats pretty much when he heard "Wait this cant be right" about his messed up physical state for the first time in a long while. little Peter didnt get to fix all of the things that were wrong with Jon's body, but he did manage to take care of some of them, which almost surprised Jon with how nice it felt to not hear pieces of broken gears rattle in his head every time he moved (who wouldve thunk)

ok now to more lighthearted stuff !!

Jon actually has a very strong bond with Sam ! He loves watching the mustached man work and sometimes follows him around, just enjoying his company. At first Sam thought that the tone-gold automaton was creepy and uncanny, but grew attached to him and his stupidity (/lh). i also think that Sam would be one of the few Walter workers who dont baby the Jon and actually treat him like they would treat any other robot :3

Also Jon just loves his robot family endlessly. shocker !! im not sure how explain it but i think hes the only one to look at other Walter automatons and go "bro i love them so much" at all times. in his head at least. obviously he teases them and argues with them but he wont think twice before accepting a hug from his siblings (except for Upgrade theyre rivals /j)

Speaking of Upgrade !! They feel the most sibling-ish to me (aside from Rabbit & The Spine) because they constantly poke fun at each other yet they still are willing to give each other help and comfort when needed. She once had to carry him all the way back to the Walter manor because they forgot to take some extra cans of crystal pepsi

Also Upgrade got in an accident once which caused her to have a fractured face for a couple of days, and Jon was there the entire time to comfort her and constantly tell her that shes still very pretty

Unlike with other robots, the food that Jon eats doesnt just fall through his uncovered jaw/run into his boiler or anything like this, instead it just. disappears. once he closes his mouth the food just vanishes into the unknown, yet Jon claims that he enjoys the process of "eating" (nobody knows how it works)

LITTLE GIRLS THAT GO TO SPG SHOWS LOVE HIM !! once the band finishes performing, he constantly gets pulled away by a small giggling pink-ish blob to join their tea party or hula hooping contest. thats why he has quite a knowledge on "girly" themes and educates other automatons on the matter

anyways i think overall appindex is like a mother of at least 6. companions come to them in the middle of the night like "i frew up :(" that typa thing

since family/clan n loyalty is very important to dragonborn and appindex just lost theirs before being abducted they are very quick to attach to these losers

i think while appin is not under the control of any god, lord, devil, etc they've created a personal hell of his own bc he tries to bear all responsibilities and burdens of those around him bc he's scared of failing and losing too much again. or all he has left really. that can make them kind of overbearing and it would be annoying if like the main companions didn't have issues and lowkey liked the attention.

what does get annoying is that it comes off as appindex not trusting their companions to do any heavy lifting but that improves in like act 2-3 especially since that's around the part the tav is expected to save baldurs gate. and the world like that's way too much weight for appin to carry on their own without breaking so atp they don't really have a choice but to let their companions share some of that albeit verrrry reluctantly

slightly more specific relations ---

shadowheart: shart is the first appin gets close to even if shes older i like to think she's like a little sister to appindex anyways <3 i should just show screenshots of the epilogue conversation bc it feels so fitting. probably one of the only companions to recognize appin's exhaustion and nag her

karlach: close in a years long tumblr mutual type intimacy way. "i'd let my mutuals come inside idc" type relationship. they occasionally sleep and cuddle naked. as good friends do. it's nice having someone they could rely on for literal heavy lifting and hitting bc in appin's eyes the rest of his companions are made of sticks and paper, save for lae'zel. girls who rip off heads with their bare hands and paint their nails in the blood :3

astarion: i do not know how to explain their relationship early on bc it fluctuates in my head. obviously irritated by how appin stops to help anyone and everyone especially since most of those people in act 1 are parents and children. appindex definitely laughs at his lame ass "seduction" bc it's pretty see through; it becomes less about seducing and just aiming making them laugh. appin probably said "im proud of you" at some point and it got to his head now he's vying for their attention and validation (get in line). my white hollow boned elf i'd probably give my organs to if he asked - appin

i think appindex is the more mature one, mentally and emotionally, especially since dragonborn develop and mature much earlier than elves do and i feel like dying young and being under cazador's control stunted astarions own maturity a bit. the result is appindex treating him like a child sometimes; not trusting him to do a number of things, scolding him,"dont treating me like a child" "dont act like one" etc etc. i think at some point he just does it and wears on appindex's extensive patience on purpose because he's a little freak like that :/. appin does not think its cute

i think appindex is pretty trusting in a way. if they feel like they have no reason to feel threatened by someone they'll have their trust but that doesn't mean it can't be lost ofc. which is why they trust laezel and astarion so easily. why would they be scared of a tiny white elf who can't even get them to knife point (he failed that).

he does struggle to trust others to do things for them though, if he were ever to be out of commission or on the verge of it it would be like pulling teeth to try and get him to let someone else lead temporarily.

appin holds onto a piece of kednyr's old blanket bc it still smells like her :thumbs_up: karlach gives her a teddy bear with that piece attached to it as a gift. astarion may have helped but he will not confirm

extra notes ermm appin lived in the upper city, not a patriar or a servant, they just co-run an expensive smithy there.

as a passionate blacksmith (and someone who wants to become an artificer) appin is really intrigued by karlach's engine and wishes they could collaborate with dammon on how to fix it or make her a new one entirely

to add onto that he's extremely fascinated by the grymforge in the underdark its like a theme park to him. it is their nerdiest point in the storyline

they can stay underwater for a good period of time; an hour is their highest time

andd she has a prosthetic leg around age 40-45 sorry this got so long . this things in my head 24/7 rn i tried to omit some things to make it shorter but oh well

ok i think its a good thing that sky high never got a sequel because they said what they wanted to say and explored their fun plot and setting in that movie and if they made a sequel it would be pulling at strings and a useless cashgrab and we would all have wished they would just let the fiest movie's closure rest. BUT. if i were in charge of a sky high sequel heres what it would be like

plot centers around the superhero community's weird thing where they feel more kinship with villains than civillians

thus, it starts with there being some serious schoolyard fight (maybe even... outside school hours?) between the protags and speed+lash, who are still sort of... majoring in villainy. protags get in trouble with administration for fighting, and theyre like "??? im sorry, these guys were being EVIL. you know. like VILLAINS." and the school is like What they do with their education is not up for us to judge. distrust sows.

will is dragged to a "party" (its like a bbq or something) that some of his parents' colleages are holding bc of like. a big. win. in superheroing. idk. anyway so there are a bunch of superhero families there in their civilian identities. will (and any friends that might have come) start talking to this other kid at the party

they ask why they havent seen her at school, and she says she doesnt go. why not? she scoffs and says that she would just be tossed aside in every class. protags tell her that the school is working (slowly... but working) on the sidekick/hero division thing. she says shed get tossed aside anyway. "why? whats your power? i promise you can make use out of any—" she doesnt have any powers.

oh! well. still. Ron Wilson didnt have any powers "yeah and he became a bus driver. i know Ron Wilson. hes a family friend. he shuttles superpowered kids around twice a day for minimum wage. even if you have an "in" in the community, if you dont have powers, youre just there to clean up ater people that do."

will thinks about it for a bit. he realizes he was sort of pushed aside before his powers developed... but it doesnt sink in and he pushes back (tells her he agrees but doesnt) because he was just so happy to get his powers. that couldnt be unfounded! and... and superheroes only step up because they have the power to make a difference. she should feel lucky that she doesnt have that responsibility attached to her life. she can go off and do whatever she wants without feeling bad about wasting power.

anyway laila gets radicalized again by this obviously. she is, in fact, now so against this division that she quits sky high and transfers to a civilian school to protest. she and will try to keep dating, but it really doesnt work with all that tension and they break up halfway through the movie.

the school laila transferred to is also the other girl's. lets call her toni. laila is really annoying to toni. whenever theyre away from observers, shes trying to use her powers to "help" toni, and other such annoying ally behavior. eventually, toni agrees to do a little interview on her experience with the super community if laila will leave her alone. laila agrees.

meanwhile, the rest of the friend group are having their own adventure discovering just how... ok the super community is with villains. obviously its not. like. ACCEPTED, thats why warren was so ostracized. but yknow. one day someone asks in mad science class if dr medulla is evil and he doesnt have a good answer. someone asks if lash and speed should be allowed to be the villains every time in save the citizen, and boomer says he cant force them to make their team choice. etc

laila goes in to interview toni at her house, in the process realizing that one of her dads— who was at that big superhero barbeque and whatnot— is a known supervillain. she panicks and awkwardly leaves the house trying to hide her discovery, and rushes to tell will

will doesnt know what to do with this. he attempts to subtly ask his mom, and gets an answer like "yeah, i dont get it. [sigh] but if he doesnt hurt anybody out of costume, and the others want him around... what am i gonna do about it?" he does the same with his dad, who says like "oh jimmy! yeah he was pretty cool in high school. definitely a rebel. i dont know why he got into the villain game, but its not my spot to judge him! just to stop him by force and send him to jail when its relevant."

will freaks out. this is all very strange. obviously there are problems with villainy, otherwise superheroes wouldnt exist! right? ...is toni going to become a villain? i mean, she hates the hero school system so much now, is she going to fight it when shes older?

ok im getting tired so im gonna fast forward through the rest and its gonna be all bones no meat. lets go

something happens to will that seriously injures him, and he thinks its toni's fault somehow. even as he recovers, it leaves him with a permanent disability that his powers dont help with. he considers himself useless again

laila and toni end up creating some kind of vigilante non-superpowered hero force, who swoop in to save the day alongside the powered heroes at the end of the movie

the protagonists discover that the super community doesnt differentiate between villains (fighting for the greater good but against heroes and/or the law) and villains (actually doing evil things) because hero licenses (which are a thing now ive decided) and villain classifications are given based on breaking the law

additionally, supervillainy, within certain ethical bounds (yknow if nobodys getting killed or anything) is sort of considered... a sport. half of major league superheroing is... recreational. like sparring.

but! and you'll never get this! non-supers described as villains get punished WAY WORSE than supers described as villains (again, within certain ethical boundaries)

laila plans to transfer back to sky high to encourage them to start a mandatory ethics course

whatever big fight scene ends off the movie, it has "villains" who have a sense of ethics fighting alongside less-legalist heroes, against actually evil villains and legalist "heroes". the villain-type students from the first movie (penny etc.), who still go to sky high, are fighting alongside the real villains until the end when they figure the whole thing out and decide to switch

will ends uo at the center of the Big Fight bc of course he does. he tries to fight Main Enemy (still havent decided at all who this is) on his own, for pride reasons and to prove that his new disability doesnt define him. but it does cause him to fail, and he gets ready to like. die in battle or something idk i never went to superhero school. but his friends save him, and he realizes that just because he cant shoulder as much weight as he used to doesnt mean he cant help in certain ways, and that even when he CANT help he doesnt have friends who are willing to fight for him and whatnot

its a disability metaphor. did you get that part? bc i believe the first movie was a disability metaphor.... except that the thesis was "simply stop being disabled" so im changing that.

also for legalism and police corruption. that too. there are two metaphors. :)

in the epilogue we learn that sky high is working to start providing course plans for students with no powers, and several adults in the community have become activists fighting for... i guess to make it so superheroes' and villains' intentions arent seen as an extension of lawfulness? idk this parts harder to solve. still

as for little details that arent plot-relevant:

theres strong subtext that ethan, magenta, and zach are all dating and thats fun

warren and magenta have joined a civilian poetry club that they go to after school

theres a student who exclusively refers to will as "billy"

there are NO REFERENCES TO MARVEL. i dont CARE if theyre both owned by disney. im keepin em SEPARATE. no cameos or easter eggs. you can have the incredibles playing on a tv somewhere but thats THIN ICE

there is however an astro boy reference :)

ron wilson bus driver reappearances. he refuses to take relevance in the plot hes just there. and big now.

Today's episode is.... Twilight!

Because for some reason i started thinking about Edward and Jasper and how they could be fixed and it turned into this clusterfuck. Anyways.

Twilight.

It is so damn boring! But it has potencial.

Ok. Let me explain myself. I started reading twilight's fanfiction without having ever watched the movies. At the time the movies came out, i was too young to take any interest in it, although the women around me did, and they fawned over Jacob and his shirtless scenes. Which was how i was team Jacob (not anymore tho ew)

Nevermind that, thing is, i only watched the movies after reading the phenomenal and creative fics. So, to me the movies paled in comparison.

Don't get me wrong. Twilight was a huge sucess, so it clearly did something right. This is only my opnion, okay?

Lets go.

So, the author created so many interesting characters and then proceeded to give us the most boring ones as the protagonists.

And Edward and Bella are actually interesting. But we got stuck with their annoying versions.

And beyond that, the really interesting side characters never have a chance to be developed. T-T

Not as much as they deserved at least.

And please, the Volturi needed a spin off of their own. Something akin to The Originals and The vampire Diaries.

Anyways, in this first part, i want to talk about how we could get into and actually develope the characters. I'll talk about each movie later.

First, our protagonists. Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

Ok. I would LOVE if we had Edward at his antihero phase. Maybe at the tail end of it, maybe at its climax.

Would love to see Red Eyes Edward. Avenging men and women who were raped, tortured, murdered as he battles with his own sense of humanity and self hatred. Trying to do something good while still being a monster.

And yes, he would still be his edgelord self. But now his breakdowns would happen as he is covered by someone else's blood and insides. Rocking himself in a alleyway's corner, looking at nothing as the body at his feet just gets colder and colder.

At some point, he would kill someone inocent. Who was wrongly accused of something. And when he discovers this, he sees his victim's mother crying, yelling at the heavens, begging for answers, for justice. For something. Anything. And Edward would hate himself for thinking for a moment he could do good. "You're a murderer, a demon. You're the one who deserves to die."

And then we have Bella, just as she is. I wouldn't change much about her really. Just make her a bit less "not like other girls" and lessen her infatuation with Edward. Or maybe amplify it. But in a different way. She is taken with Edward not because wow, he is handsome, misterious or smth. But because he is weird. Maybe even have a monsterloving Bella. Who is fascinated by this idea of an angel of death. But as she encounters it, him, she realizes nothing is black in white. He kills people. Humans like her.

She would be attracted, but terrified. Battling against her morals. He has to feed, but he kills only those who are criminals. But who is he to play the judge and jury? And would be interesting for Edward to become more attached to life and morals (as in, murder is murder, bitch. Stop killing people even though theyre criminals and deserve it. Youre not God).

I would love to see their oposing ideas inspire each other and provoke drama and grownth.

Also, id love to see Bella's reasons to be a vampire to be more than Edward. I saw this idea on tiktok i think. And it makes so much sense.

Her reasons would be: she is a bit of a history nerd and wants to be there as historical moments are happening and live to see its repercursions; she is afraid of getting old( but not dying, since she is suicidal and has a kinda morbid curiosity about it); she doesnt want to lose Alice, or Emmett, nor Jasper or Rosalie and Carlisle and Esme; she wants to feel part of something, this family, something she severely lacked as a child and still do as a teenager.

I want a Bella that is in love and obssessed with Edward, but as the story goes on, she learns to be independent. She learns how to be confident in her weird self. And have more than just Edward, although she is very much in love with him.

She would not get pregnant. But would be a vampire because dude. She is so much better as a vampire. Lord above. And well that would be the culmination of her character growth.

Alice, Jasper and him being a confederate soldie or smth :)

starting to post some of my abandoned wips so i dont feel like i completely wasted my time. If anyone wants to take this idea and run for it, PLEASE go ahead!

this was going to be a modern Zukka AU taking place during Ghost Month in Taiwan. Also trans Sokka. There were a lot of moving parts that just didn't come together. It drew inspiration from Druck Season 3 and also Marry My Dead Body somewhat

Zuko was going to slowly fall for this guy he met but actually it turns out he's a ghost and now they're attached. That was gonna be a Huge Reveal lol. Ghost Month is coming to an end but now Zuko is in love and can't lose Sokka so he agrees to a ghost marriage. They maybe live happily ever after? I hadn't had it all planned out lol.

Character backgrounds:

zuko is half-Taiwanese (his mom is from Tainan but his dad is a famous Japanese businessman). He’s run away from home w Iroh so they live in a little place in like Sanchong or st bc it’s really the only area they can afford

Iroh owns a bubble tea shop that’s quite reputable in the community but it’s really no big deal at all bc there’s thousands of them around

Meanwhile Azula lives w her dad in that corkscrew apartment building by Taipei 101. You know, the one that EVERYONE knows houses all the rich and famous ppl in town and has a specific elevator dedicated to bringing your car up to your living room

Sokka and Katara are half First Nations Canadian and half Indigenous Taiwanese- probably Paiwan. because how awesome would that be. They came to the city for college but stuck around. Sokka worked at a math cram school and Katara works in a medical clinic. Her dad is super proud!

Sokka died tragically recently in a car accident

Katara lives in Ximen with Suki who does ballroom and is a personal trainer by day. She’s Sokka’s ex AND Katara’s ex lollll

Suki is Japanese

Aang originally came from Nepal to study in college but he stuck around to work for a big international NGO. He has a big sheepdog Appa and Momo is a cat. It’s a nightmare for his landlord. He lives in Da’an near the park, which is great to give Appa space to play

Toph is Chinese. She grew up in Xinyi with her parents, rich Chinese businesspeople who moved permanently to Taiwan right before Toph was born. She ran away from home during college and is living with Aang right now

ok the beginning of the plot outline:

It’s Ghost Month

Zuko is kind of a depressed weird stoner. Lives with Jet, Haru, and Song in a flatshare.

Haru is actually super gay

So Zuko is dating Jin and is soooo not feeling it. 

Goes to G Star? one night, hangs out outside, feels a tap on his shoulder and looks over his shoulder. It’s sokka asking for a lighter and zuko is so intrigued by him 

Zuko starts cancelling plans w his gf just to hang w Sokka who is super mysterious 

Like Jin was gonna come over to have sex but Zuko really doesnt want to but then Sokka ends up coming over and theyre gonna watch a movie together omg?? But then suddenly Sokka is gone.

All his guy friends (Jet, Haru) are way more into girls than he is

Zuko has a party, invites Sokka. Sokka shows up with Katara and Zuko is like omg ew he has a gf

Weird and distant the whole party

Ignores Jin and she gets wasted

One of Haru’s friends tries to dance w him and he gets super weird

Has a weird panic attack, goes to get high alone

Comes back out when everyone is gone, Sokka is still here cleaning up

They kind of have a moment, Sokka sees how fucked up he is

“I didn’t know you had a girlfriend?” “You mean Katara? Katara is my sister.”

They stare at each other quietly for a minute and ALMOST KISS but then song comes home fighting with her boyfriend omg. The moment has been ruined it’s over now, noooooo

Nobody else up to this point has seen or interacted with Sokka (other than Katara but Zuko didn’t interact with Katara either)

Anya - anya, our dear friend Anya… i think she has the mindset of “all this lovey dovey stuff is just one big joke. everyones playing a trick on me. theyre lying to me again, those losers!!” until she meets dima. then, it's “omggg i feel so strongly towards him, i feel so happy with him, this must be the love everyone is talking about!! this must be a crush” while little does she know, yes, she loves him, but not romantically. before she meets him, she’s “not like other girls”, she’s DIFFERENT, she’s BETTER than to get a stupid crush. when she gets in trouble with those guys in Punch it, Punk! she thinks “I could really use a prince charming now”, at first thinking that this is her romantic break. but then she thinks “you know what fuck it ill take anyone”, showing she doesnt care much for the romantic norms of having a prince charming. Anya can take care of herself but would like it if someone took care of her for once. when she gets in trouble with those guys in PIP and dima rushes in and saves her, its like! he cares for her! he helped her despite not even knowing her! this Must mean that he loves her a ton

Dima - dima doesn't know what a boyfriend is. he doesn't strike me as the type to read/watch the limited access to the romance genre he gets at the facility, and temnova doesn't strike me as the type to teach him about all that. so, when he saves anya and she gets so. so happy. so lovey dovey. patches him up (though olga probably did that, anya probably convinced her) even though she doesn't even Know him, and she gets him a place to stay at olga’s without him even asking, and when she asks “anyway, do you wanna go out with me?” do you think he fucking knew . what that meant. “do you want to be my boyfriend” now that he'd understand. but i think he just said ok as in “do you wanna hang out with me”. anyway, i think when he found out that they Were dating. he didn't mind.

Dmitry just. just. unconditional love. that Must be romantic. it Has to be, yes? and what he feels towards anya should be that also, then, because he also thinks she's cool and swag and all. even if it wasn't, i don't think he'd care. he cares for her and that's enough, mhm?

Allo/heteronormativity - this will mostly be centered around Anya because she has more experience with it. this is also going to be based a lot around my experiences, as i am so swag to have been blessed to be aroace, so. it's gonna be a lot of projection. anya never really thought about how she's never had a crush, but when she does (and its only because someone asks her “have you even ever had a crush?” and she thinks “oh. oh its supposed to be real”), it’s just “im so fucking cool for not having gotten a crush yet. i'm so awesome. psh. no insecurity here bucko. nah. i'm not like other girls (isn't a girl(but we’ll get into that later)).” she does have slight insecurity about it, but she always pushes it down. when she sees dima and gets such a strong attachment to him, it MUST be love at first sight. she’s still not like other girls (not a girl), but it's nice to be able to brag about your cool boyfriend. like, she just takes it that she’s too cool for all this romance stuff. but then dima comes. and what a boyfriend he is! so kind and cool, what more could anyone want? what more could she want? she's never felt so happy with someone like this, so it MUST be romantic love, it MUST be what she's been missing.

Ace stuff - anya thinks sex is gross and disgusting and can’t imagine how it could ever be enjoyable. she's the kind of kid to go “GROSS!!! BLEGH!!!” at even just seeing a kiss (unless she's giving dima a peck on the cheek ofc). she hates thinking about it, yuck, gross. even simple tongue kisses are disgusting - why are you putting someones tongue in your mouth, ew, yuck, Gross, thats Yucky. dima doesn't know what sex is, as the facility did not provide him with much information (“you're not going to be having sex anyway. we don't need to waste resources on teaching you”) and hed Never ask temnova about this kinda stuff. he thinks kissing someone tongue style is sex. he thinks ‘unprotected’ sex is like, doing it outside of the safety of your home. boy does not know a thing about it

Together - i’m going to now analyze the last scene of PIP through an aroace lens. dima gets confronted by olga. he panics, visibly. anya sees this. she returns him the unconditional love he first showed her when they met, when she was confronted by those guys, when he saved her. she sees him in trouble and becomes his prince charming, breaking the norm once again. anyway, i think even if anya and dima somehow realized they were aroace and somehow accepted it. they'd still wanna stay (at least anya would and dima wouldn't mind) dating. anya definitely loves to say “my boyfriend this, my boyfriend that”, and dima wants her to be happy. like even if they somehow learned what a qpr is they'd stay dating. for the swag

In conclusion, they’re Swag. theyre so aroace, three of my friends and i thought "mmm dimanya aroace swag" at different times before we even met one another

when ayano starts her process with adopting this kid it's pretty out of nowhere and cuz she gets attached to a kid matilda style its not that she's like omg im ready to be a mom it just kinda happens. so she's not super prepared and adopting is yknow A Process SO. according to me myself and i shintaro sells some of his melodies as commercial jingles LOLLLLL and makes a shit ton of money out of it so he starts helping ayano financially thru this process cuz he has THE MONEY🔥🔥🔥 she's his friend and this is important to her!!!!!

by then they're already close friends again and all bc also in this context they've broken up🔥🔥🔥 but like 6 years ago or something so i wouldn't say this is when they're bonding or catching feelings again. they already did hehe... they're already close again by then and able to be like damn our relationship when we were 18 was a disaster lol what were we thinking.

anyways so shintaro's used to the kid bc he spends a lot of time with him and ayano. i should name the kid but i HAVENT so for now its The Kid. soooo its not like shintaro needs to take notes or anything because he is already familiar with ayano and her kid and the dynamic and viceversa so. its pretty much natural. he doesnt need lessons or anything, he knows the kid and he's slowly bonding with ayano normally as a couple theyre not immediately married living together raising the kid. nah. he's just mom's boyfriend at first definitely

shintaro and ayano are very self aware of it and ayano's like im not asking u to parent my kid but im also not gonna choose you over him and shintaro's like yes ma'am. but also he inevitably kind of parents him just from staying over and helping ayano around and etc etc. it's just gradual hehe...

around the time shinaya are first dating and shintaros just the guy that comes over the kid is still not calling ayano mom so its like. sometimes a family is me, the lady thats nice to me and some guy who pays our groceries for some reason. i think itd be funny if the kid starts calling ayano mom. but keeps calling shintaro just shintaro FOREVER even after shintaro moves in and after he marries ayano and like he's properly his dad but he's still JUST shintaro

i definitely need to come up with a name for this little guy. he will get 2 more siblings his age ayano and shintaro adopt when they are indeed married and properly adopting together and then a baby sister. by the way. if you even care.

Orchid (Chapter 6)

“Good morning Mama. Are you feeling any better?” Orchid’s eyes slowly opened, She looked over to the door to see her son walking in, pink tulips in hand. Orchid smiled as she saw him.

“I'm feeling better now that you're here.”  Orchid said as she weakly reached out towards her child.

“That’s good.” He said as he held her hand. Even though her son wore a smile, Orchid saw the pain in his eyes. Orchid was about to say something when she started coughing. The purple stick panicked and helped his mother sit upright.

“Breathe mama, it’s ok.” Her son said as he pat her back. Once Orchid caught her breath, she leaned on her son.

“Oh my love… I wish I could do so much more for you…” Orchid solemnly said as she listened to her son’s heartbeat. The purple stick took a breath and hugged his mother tighter.

“You don't have to do anything more for me Mama. You’ve done everything you can.” He said with a broken voice. Orchid chuckled and sat up straight. She cupped her son’s face and wiped his tears with her thumb.

“I love you my son. And even when I'm gone, I will always love you. Do you understand?” Orchid softly asked. The purple stick choked on his words, only able to weakly nod his head and hold his mother's hands.

“I-I love y-you too Mama. I-I love you w-with everything I am.” He sobbed. Orchid smiled softly before kissing her son’s forehead.

“Thank you Purple.”

Orchid was gone within the hour. Her illness had finally taken her. She didn't want to leave, not yet. She still had so much more to do, and her son still had so much more growing to do as well. She can't be there for him any more. She can't guide him when he’s lost, or hold him when he’s sad, or tell him she loves him when he doesnt love himself. It shattered Orchid’s soul. Large cracks of regret and longing grew from her heart and spread throughout her body. Causing Orchid to be sick even as a ghost. Difficulty breathing, chest pains, throwing up black goo, everything that happened to her before she died. It was tragic. She is tragic.

Orchid tends to find herself attached to her son. Wherever he was, she was nearby. She just couldn't let go. She needed to protect her little boy. She did everything in her power to be the angel on his shoulder. But she was too quiet. Becoming king of a village, stealing a dragon egg, betraying those she thought could be his friends. It pained Orchid to see her son so desperately trying to please. He was going to get in serious trouble if she didn't do something. But alas, there was nothing she could do to stop her broken child.

That’s when the tall orange stick came into her son’s life. Upon sight of him, Orchid’s mind screamed red flags. She needed to get her son out of there before something bad happened to him!!!  She couldn't just let her child hang around someone who was clearly a danger to himself and her son. Orchid whispered things to her son. Begging him to retreat and forget about this quest for approval. But once again, her voice was too quiet. And now she’s here, stuck in a void, separated from her son. All she could remember was watching her son get sucked up into a beam of light. Her child was most likely dead because of that stick. Orchid felt as if she had failed. All she wanted was to protect her child. And she failed to do even that. She was a failure of a mother. As Orchid sobbed to the void, a voice reached her ears.

“Hello?” Orchid gasped as she looked up. Standing before her was a very tall dark purple stick. Probably taller than the orange stick that killed her son.

“Are you ok?” the stick asked as they approached the broken mother. The stranger helped Orchid to her feet and noticed the large cracks over her body. They stiffened slightly as they held Orchid.

“You seem to be in bad shape, allow me to help you.” The dark stick suddenly picked Orchid up, holding her like a princess.

“Oh! Please you don't need to-”

“I insist.” The stick said as they started walking in a direction. Orchid tried to protest but she didn't have the energy to. She sighed as the stranger took her to a light.

“What’s that?” 

“My home.”

As the tall dark stick walked into the light, Orchid covered her eyes. Once the light was back to a bearable level, Orchid uncovered her eyes and gasped. This strange world around her was beautiful and lush with life. The feeling of the warm sun on her skin and the scent of flowers brought tears to her eyes. It was almost like the pain in her body was dissipating. Orchid felt alive again.

“Dandi,” Orchid looked over to see a pastel yellow stick standing with a group of children. The stick turned as her name was called.

“Bel? What is it?”  Dandi asked. Her eyes drifted down to Orchid. Dandi was about to do her greeting when she saw the deep cracks in Orchid’s body.

“Oh, Ma’am are you ok?  You're Not in any pain are you?” Dandi asked worriedly.

“I'm fine. Please don't-” a sharp pain suddenly stabbed Orchid in her heart. She choked out a cry as her body tensed up.

“MEDIC!!!!” Dandi shouted as she and Bel ran into the house. Orchid’s head was spinning. She could no longer breathe and her entire being felt as if it was being torn apart from her very code. Everything was a blur to the mother. She felt as if she were fading in and out of existence.

“Purple….” She quietly whispered in the muffled sounds of panic. She felt herself being placed onto a soft surface. Presumably a bed. There were many things happening around her. But all she could think about was  her son.

“I wonder if he’s here…” Orchid said as she stared lazily into the light above her.

“I just want to see him… One last time….” Orchid closed her eyes. Her body relaxed as she felt numb to the pain. It was like nothing mattered anymore. How ironic. She was dying a second time. But this time, there truly was no coming back.

i have an obscenely long lore document but it's out of date at this point because my brainrot runs a mile a minute but drax tldr

ishgardian but got kicked out (his dad sux)

always pretty good with magic but never got the chance to practice

very quiet, emotionally stunted, didnt think much of himself

wandered around gridania from ~16-26. at first it was just random gigs to have some money but he eventually got into the adventuring gig because he crashed a lot of bars/inns/taverns and the usual crowds ended up squeezing his name/occupation out of him. drax at this point is like the vid of the dude reading a book at the tyler the creator concert

at first adventuring gigs were for the money and the people he traveled with were decent enough but he got more of an emotional attachment after dalamud fell and now he was Actually helping people

got considerably better at magic during his travels also started doing suspicious black magic oOOooOOOoooooooo but he's really good at blowing stuff up so its ok :) ! nothing bad happens i prommy

when hydaelyn gives her blessing of light it turns his brown eyes into that dodge ram bright ass yellow highbeams and it's genuinely unnerving for most people when they first see him and drax hated it until he ends up enjoying being hydaelyn's silliest soldier and sees it as physical proof of her blessing

during ARR MSQ he ends up going a little too hard on the magic and its killing him a little bit so he gets the emo white strips of hair

he's like omg no its ok ill stop <3 and then never stops. at all. he gets way overboard into the insane hero complex and obsessed w hydaelyn bc he didnt feel like he had a purpose until God Told Him So so he continually pushes himself and causes considerable injury to himself until it becomes routine years later

ends up becoming a drk after haurchefart dies cuz he feels bad about the homie and wants to take a more proactive role in protecting his friends instead of being a low life dps player. he also gets a little silly during heavensward (killed a LOT of templar knights)

also during heavensward since he lost the blessing for a lil bit the highbeams got turned off and his eyes were brown again n he hated people seeing it bc it was Vulnerable for him but in reality 99% ishgardians had 0 idea he looked any different and were freaked the fuck out by the pope killing, dragon-slaying man running around ishgard covered in blood and gore from WHO knows what and now he has lightbulbs for eyes. No fucking wonder people thought it was the end of days if they looked outside their window and saw THAT guy

drax is genuinely nice and kindhearted though i dont think that ever went away even as time went on. there's still a big soft spot in his heart for looking out for people as he gains an immense amount of empathy towards others during his travels/especially after the 'protector of Literally Everyone' role gets forced on his shoulders. he cares so much it's practically his downfall because he'd rather cut off his own hand then even risk the possibility of harming someone else with that hand. it doesnt help that he didnt view himself very highly before turning into a "hero" so now his self worth hinges on everyone thinking he's doing a Very Good Job being Hydaelyn's Specialest Guy at all times even though the light has nearly killed him like 30 fucking times at this point

i think he became more mentally unwell after killing hydaelyn and is trying to exist in a world that she left for everyone to do what they want with but drax never had the opportunity to do anything he ever wanted his entire life (and now hydaelyn essentially dictating the rest of his life by slapping her blessing on him) and he's now trying to fill the void by doing random shit until something clicks. stay tuned if this works out for him

i have Thoughts on nancy wheeler. and how she approaches relationships. 

because nancy needs love, everyone does, and she deserves to be loved, and her attachment to family, to friends, to lovers, always tends to be rocky

i think if we’re gonna get into this we gotta start with family. her parents dont really love each other, and there is no trust between them or real loyalty (and her mom was literally about to hook up with an actual high schooler which i’m not gonna get into rn bc thats not what this is about but Yikes)

 her dad is absent, he doesnt support any of his kids, only makes it appear so on the outside. at some point i think karen wheeler might have been closer to her children, nancy more than mike, and nancy has always strove(strived??? striven?????) to gain her mother’s approval and care (as she grows up, this becomes less important to her, as does her relationship with her mother as she realizes she really doesn’t get her and doesn’t care to). her family has never been close, theyve never talked much about feelings, everything is repressed, and everything is for show. their clothing choices, the curfew (because if it was a safety issue i feel like maybe just maybe karen and ted might care a little more or do a little more but they just dont seem to give a shit and the curfew they have/had set is really just to make it look like they do), how they invite people over to their home, etc, it’s all for show. 

and nancy sees display, and proximity, as what is important--with steve, with jonathan, yes, but not just with romantic interests. in season 4 when she gets closer to robin, robin is there and nancy starts to attach to her. steve is there and nancy starts to attach to him again. even eddie to a degree. but now that she and jonathan are so far away, they’re falling apart, even though when they’re together in person it looks like they’re really in love. it’s the proximity and the display that makes her feel more secure because that’s what’s normal for her. 

and nancy wants to protect people she cares about. she does. and she tries to. but it’s not just protecting people, not the same way steve would fight tooth and nail to protect everyone or the way joyce would someone out of a prison, for nancy, it’s about logic and control. she needs to have things under control--part of why she has so many guns. part of why shes so detailed in making plans. part of why she is a lot better at not letting emotion cloud her judgement (even when the issue might require more emotional thought than logical). 

and oh boy i am SOOO off topic arent i

nancy favors control over security. when shes far away from someone the relationship matters less--it’s clear with jonathan but not just with him, you can even see it with how she interacts with her brother. she hardly really even sees him and when they were around each other she did say “hey you should talk to me” but after that they continued to not be around each other and she didn’t try to change that, instead focusing on the people in front of her. 

nancy is a really powerful, intelligent, totally fuckin badass character. and like all the other characters in this show her relationships and attachment styles are influenced by trauma and by societal standards and her family and childhood. she’s beginning to learn different but it’s new to her. and what i think nancy needs is time out of a romantic relationship, with anyone, to learn about security and attachment and love even when you dont see someone and care and sometimes not having control in relationships and i want her to grow into herself and grow into her friends/chosen family without the pressure of conforming to what romance “is supposed to look like”

i dunno if this really made sense i kinda just rambled a lot but i hope at least some of my points got across ok! if u have any thoughts pls lmk id love to hear them :)

I'd been feeling pretty lonely lately, but hopefully things are turning around.

I really blew things with Kay, basically getting her to give me reasons why she doesnt want to talk to me anymore.

After the experience we were talking a lot on yahoo. I couldnt stop thinking about her, thought about her at sch* all the time. We talk very sexual and talk about different sexual positions are. Last night I went to the kitchen with Ari. I talked to a lot of people and made friends with a couple by trying to find a spot near the dj. I found out they were friends with petunia, who I have a crush on. And she came a little later on in the evening.

Ari and i went to her friend's car to smoke out. I came back in and sort of stared at this crowd of people dancing, moving as of in slow motion with the strobe light. I turned around and there was Petunia. I ended up talking and for awhile, i felt like she was being flirty and happy to see me.

She shared her drink with me, watched my spot when I went to the restroom, smiled a lot and played with her hair and wanted to take a shot with me after the dj was done and before I had to leave. She was gorgeous.

We drifted apart a little and while I was dancing by myself I noticed her dancing by me with her back turned. I got the vibe she wanted me to pull her in to dance with her but I couldn't build up the courage. She did this several times but her friend pulled her in to dance before I could. Eventually l just left because I was getting to stuck in my head and felt embarrassed.

wish I would have gotten her number. She seemed really interested and her friends like me.

But its ok, next time I'm in that situation I'm going to tell myself to get out of my comfort zone and go for it because I'm certain she would have danced with me. Also I could have gotten her number if instead of leaving Over all though I had a great time and met a lot of people at the goth club. The music was great.

I went home and just hung out ari’s place talking for the rest of the night. My sleep schedule must be all messed up because i didn’t get home and get to bed until 8:15 in the morning.

I woke up the next day at 7:30. I felt out of it from too much sleep. I had a boring dinner with *M and her sugar daddy.

Later on chris pick’s me up and we meet up with jorge at flaco’s place. We hung out having some drinks and then flaco puts on a porn and we all take turns jacking off in the bathroom nearby. It was probably the gayest thing we’d ever done. Then i realized they had all been doing coke or something.

At some point in the evening chris gets up and says he’s taking us to *ch. we go and have a pitcher of beer. Same freaky *skl crowd. After that we go to denny’s where i tell chris everything about kay, and he gives me some good advice about the situation. I think. It’s basically don’t be so eager and wait for her to come to you.

So i’ll wait. But i can’t wait forever.

The team was surprisingly all gathered in one place at the same time. Contrary to popular belief, it was May who was successful in assembling the Avengers instead of Happy. Everyone was now seated at the living area of the compound in order to announce their engagement. The couple were bashful when Tony said that everyone should be here to listen to avoid any problems that may happen during the engagement party three weeks from now; Thor might not follow the dress code or bring a very, literal, out of this world gift. Based on a true story? Who knows. May and Happy were saying that there was no need, considering they know how busy these superheroes are, but your Father insisted and what a Stark wants, a Stark gets.

But you knew that your Dad was just missing the team and took this as an opportunity to get together again. 

Congratulations echoed in the air and it actually felt really nice for everyone to finally relax and enjoy the company of each other without a weight on their shoulders. The engaged couple were beaming from ear to ear as they listened to a story that Clint and Nat were sharing. The smiles from everyone you love was so contagious that you found yourself grinning too. 

A playful frown appeared on your face when you felt a finger poke your cheek. 

“What are you smiling about?” Peter asked, his hands now going back to the rubix cube Morgan gave to him out of frustration earlier. 

“You’re smiling too, idiot.” You replied.

“Hey.” A huff came from said sister. Morgan was currently seated on your lap since your Dad and Pepper were busy maneuvering around the room. 

“Sorry.” You gave her a sheepish smile. 

You spoke a minute later. 

“I’m happy for them.” 

Peter followed your line of sight and nodded when he saw that you were looking at his aunt and after all these years, Happy was technically your Uncle at this point. 

“Me too.” He replied in admiration. He just got out of a relationship-- would he call it that even if there was no talk of labels?- with Gwen Stacy and adjusting back to the single life felt odd. Sure, he was single for the majority of his life but once one experiences a relationship, it feels weird when the attachment is gone. 

The scent of food broke your trance and Morgan giggled when she heard your stomach grumble. You tickled her sides and she eventually got off your lap to waddle into the dining room. 

You were hungry and you had to force the rubix cube out of Peter’s hands so that he would follow you to where your sister ran off to. At the mention of food, nearly the entire team started to clamor together and race to get a nice seat at the dining table. Peter held onto your hand as he saw you almost get thrown off balance because of Sam and Bucky pushing at each other. 

He didn’t let go until you two were free from the bodies bumping into one another. He still didn’t let go even when he felt Happy give him a look. You felt heat rise to your cheeks but you shook the feeling away when you saw Morgan sitting on a chair in between the two who nearly made you fall flat on your ass earlier. 

“Mo,” You called out. “Sit next to me.”

She gave you a pout and stubbornly shook her head no. You groaned under your breath because you knew that your sister was bound to make a mess with her food if she was left to her own accord. 

“Sorry, kid.” Sam chuckled towards you. 

You huffed, similar to how Morgan did earlier when she chastised you for your use of the word idiot. You absentmindedly tugged on Peter’s hand to sit on the free seats next to Wanda. Peter immediately let go when you two sat down because to be honest, he was still a little intimidated by Wanda and her telepathic abilities. She was kind to him and would never tell anyone what she sees but he didn’t really want his thoughts about you to be read. 

You caught up with Wanda, seeing that she’s the one closest to your age and wouldn’t judge you even if school girl gossip was the topic. You rambled about how just two weeks ago, you started chatting with this nice boy in your class but he eventually ghosted you. You just found out that your Father was behind the ending of your communication with the guy and now it’s awkward because he is your partner for an assignment. Unbeknownst to you, Peter’s enhanced hearing picked up on your rant and he somehow felt comforted that he wasn’t alone in the journey of wallowing because of failed romantic endeavors. 

Dinner went smoothly, save for the multiple barbecue sauce stains on Morgan’s dress. May got up to serve the dessert she made and Nat got up to help her. The two ladies formed an unlikely friendship and nobody was complaining. 

“So..” Sam started with a mischievous look on his face and turned to Bucky. “You bringing a date to the party?”

Bucky scowled and ignored the question. You and Peter turned to look at each other and giggled, knowing that Sam was insinuating that his friend should bring Nat to the engagement party.

“Date?” A tiny voice blurted in between them, causing Bucky and Sam to lower their heads to face curious little Morgan. “What’s that? Why do you bring it?”

“Uhh..” Bucky looked across the table to you for help but your shared laughter with Peter grew in volume as you two found the situation entertaining. 

“It’s when.. it’s when..” Sam started, trying to find the proper words. “You bring someone you like to a party.” 

“Ohh..” Your sister nodded in understanding. “So I can bring Mr. Snuggles to Uncle Happy’s party?”

“Yeah!” Sam and Bucky nodded frantically in agreement. 

“Or like, when your Dad gets dressed all fancy and brings your Mom.” Bucky added, looking proud that he gave input. 

You and Peter were still struggling to contain your laughter. Who knew Bucky had the potential to be a good babysitter? 

“Oh so also someone you love?” Morgan asked and again, the two adults next to her agreed. “So Petey can bring Y/N to the party?”

You nearly choked on thin air and Peter’s eyes widened. The whole table suddenly fell silent and even though you weren’t gifted with the same Spidey senses your best friend had, you felt all eyes on you. 

“No. No way, absolutely not.” Your Father shook his head. How the fuck did he even hear that considering he was on the other end of the table? You thought to yourself. 

Next to you, Peter was also thinking about how your little conversation was heard through all the loud chatter, but then again nearly everyone here was an enhanced individual. 

“No- what?” You asked, not knowing which part of the conversation you should address first. 

“Parker, no courting my daughter.” Tony added which made the two of you blush. 

“I wasn’t--”

“Oh yeah, why not?”

Peter and you said at the same time. Peter immediately shut his mouth at the looks of both Starks looking at him. The challenging voices weren’t soothing his nerves either. 

“This isn’t the 18th century, Dad. Courting isn’t a thing anymore.” You rolled your eyes. 

An idea was brewing in your mind and you knew that Wanda, try as she might to avoid invading your privacy, could hear the mischievous thoughts as she gently laid her hand on your forearm. 

“Well, good-”

“Because dating is the proper term and Peter and I are dating.”

A silence. You could hear a pin drop in that split second before chaos erupted. 

“WHAT” Your Father.

“We are?!” Peter. 

“HUH?” Sam, Bucky, and Morgan. 

You bit your lip, trying to suppress an evil laugh threatening to spill. Next to you, Wanda covered her mouth as she giggled. She knew that it was only a joke and you were glad that you have someone to laugh it out with. 

“Yeah, we are.” You muttered the end only for Peter to hear. He was already starting to sweat and he felt himself gulp as you placed your hand on his knee and gave him an obviously fake sweet smile. The look in your eyes telling him to play along. 

All he could do was hum in agreement as he was at a loss for words. He locked eyes with his Aunt, who was smiling at him but the comfort of it all nearly faded away as he saw the disapproving look on Happy’s face. Peter knew that Happy was protective of you but then a lightbulb went off. Happy now knows how Peter felt when he started dating May. Maybe going along with your joke wouldn’t be so bad. 

“You said you’d only approve if I dated someone you know and you know Peter.” You simply shrugged at your Dad.

This was payback for all the times he made rules and rambled on about your dating life. 

“Yeah, but,” Tony blubbered like a fish out of water, looking at Pepper for help but she simply shrugged. Like May, she only had a smile on her face. “He’s my- he’s my intern!”

“Doesn’t that make you trust me more, Mr. Stark?” Your eyes widened in surprise, not expecting Peter to play along like that. 

Ooohs and chuckles echoed in the air, causing the frustrated veins on Tony and Happy’s necks to protrude more. 

“It’s the 21st century, Y/N can date whoever she wants.” Your Uncle Rhodey finally spoke and you smiled at him. He returned it and you sort of felt bad because this whole ordeal wasn’t real in the first place. 

“You’re agreeing to this?” Happy asked and Peter felt a smug smirk tug on his lips. He really liked Happy but messing with him like this was fun. 

“You’re supposed to be the cool yet protective uncle, Rhodes!” Your Dad exclaimed. 

Happy frowned as he was obviously the more stricter Uncle as hinted on by Tony but he kept his stance. 

“Yeah, and doesn’t that make you trust me more, Tony?” Rhodey mimicked Peter, causing everyone to laugh. 

Your Father got up and announced that since he needed a drink, dessert will have to be served at the living area along with some alcohol, which he specifically said wasn’t allowed for you and Peter. 

While everyone made their way back, Peter gently tugged on your wrist and led you to a corner. He cleared his throat when he initially saw how close his face was to yours.

“That was..” He started. He didn’t want to say the word joke or fake so he opted for, “Wasn't real right?”

“Yeah.. was it alright? I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable.” You bit your lip and Peter found himself staring. The idea of dating you doesn’t really come up much since he knows how strict Tony is, but he’d be lying if he didn’t feel butterflies in his stomach at the thought of it. 

“No, no, it was funny. The look on Happy’s face was priceless.” Peter chuckled and you too found yourself staring. “I know why you did it, though. Cause of your History classmate?”

You gasped dramatically and swatted at his chest. “You were listening to Wanda and I! I knew it!”

Quiet giggles filled the space between you two and Peter found himself looking at the living area since you were the one who had their back to the wall. 

“I have an idea,” He chuckled and you raised a brow at him. “I’ll ask Happy for permission to “date” you since he asked me for permission to propose to May.” 

You laughed at Peter’s idea and use of air quotations, “The veins on his neck and forehead may officially explode, but since he is an accomplice to Dad’s plans to meddle with my love life…”

Peter was giddy at the thought of you two doing this whole fake dating thing out of joking spite. A blush forms on the constellations of freckles on his face as he thinks that he’ll get to hold your hand if you want him to or kiss his cheek. 

“I say we do it.”

we all know max phillips is one big giant bloodsucking bastard that fucking turned the whole office into vampires with or without their consent because, i dont fucking know, sales??

and of course we all know eddie, our baby freshman, is a cute lil psychology major who liked buffy because she was nice to him but unfortunately died two times BECAUSE of her??

what if these two very different characters were in the same universe 🤔

imagine one night eddie just couldn’t handle the bloodlust anymore— he’s been holding that part of himself back because he doesn’t want to be a monster— but it got to be too much and he was forced to go out and find someone to drink from.

at this point, eddie looks like utter shit. he’s thin, pale, eyes are sunken and black, and his fangs are out. he’s dizzy, he’s stumbling, and nobody is around for him to attack.

eventually he collapses from exhaustion and hunger. if there were people who saw him, they probably thought him to be a homeless person and didn’t bother to help.

this is when max finds him, i dont know how he finds him but he does ok dont question it.

at first max doesn’t give a shit, why would he? he doesn’t owe any other vampire anything, so why should he care about this young vampire who probably feels like hes going to die again which he definitely does not know how it feels because of his own sire that left him to fend for himself with no knowledge of being a vampire-

well

max reluctantly carries the poor bat up on his back and reluctantly speeds to his apartment to reluctantly give the boy a bag of donated blood. when eddie stirs from the scent of it, max watches him sink his fangs into the bag and fucking gulp the whole thing down.

no it does not make him happy that the boy is looking significantly healthier and better than how he found him.

after eddie eats his fill, he finally realises that he has company and is very scared but also relieved. scared because thats his natural reaction whenever hes with somebody he doesnt know (also because hes in the house of somebody he doesnt know) but hes relieved because this older vampire helped him and maybe will continue to help him.

HOWEVER max is allergic to feelings and emotions so he kicks eddie out after making sure the kid is ok.

jokes on him tho, eddie follows max around like a lost puppy. he doesn’t know anybody else who’s a vampire and he can’t really go up and ask people if they are without them thinking he’s delusional, so OF COURSE hes gonna attach himself to the only 'role model' he knows.

max hates it. max hates that the kid keeps knocking on his door to stay at his place. max hates that the kid looks like a sad baby bat whenever he refuses to let him in. max hates that he lets the kid in at the first sight of his pout. max hates that he shares his blood supply, that he pays cash money for, to this kid who doesn’t even want to learn how to hunt like a proper vampire. most of all, max hates how he’s getting soft for the damn kid.

one day, eddie asks if there were more vampires than him and max, and max goes like, dude how the fuck do you think we became vampires in the first place???

so max brings eddie to his work place to show him around (bring your child to work day) and how the whole office is turned into vampires, like his own little coven of bats, and eddie is both amazed and terrified.

“so... you turned everybody in the office?”

“well not everybody, but only the ones i know will do a better job once they are one.”

“they all listen to you? depend on you?”

“well, i am their boss and their sire, so they really have no choice.”

“... do i have a sire?”

“... yes and no.”

cue sad eyes from eddie because he realises that the person who was responsible for turning him was supposed to help him but didn’t.

max has a sudden surge of anger directed to his baby bat’s sire, how dare they leave him behind all alone without any—

it takes a few days for max to come to terms that he now sees this adorable, too good for this world boy somehow as his... son... but then he remembered how hard it was for him back when he first changed that he had nobody to lean onto.

now he has the opportunity to be that solid pillar for the boy to go to whenever he’s afraid or confused.

no he wasn't tearing up at the thought of having a son because he had always wanted a family of his own and cant have it anymore due to his immortality.

when he brings up the idea of becoming eddie's sire, at first eddie was like, you can do that?? how?? and THEN eddie was like, wait, you wanna be my sire 🥺?

"how does that even work?"

"you just drink from me."

"but we don't have blood? our hearts are dead."

"no shit sherlock."

little bit about that is max feeds naturally, as in hunt down a human and drink from them, and then eddie has to bite max and drink that blood from him.

dont fucking question it.

so they do the whole shebang shebang, now max has officially adopted taken eddie under his bat wing.

if max thought eddie was clingy when they first met, it doesn't compare to eddie actually having that close bond with max and always wanting to be with or around the older vamp.

and they lived happily ever after until the end of time 😌

Summary: Hufflepuff is the type of person to express her love verbally but Slytherin is different; he hardly says “I love you” and Hufflepuff worries that maybe it’s because he doesn’t love her as much as she loves him. Our darling puff will realize that this is simply not the case. People just have different love languages. 

Hufflepuff loved Slytherin. She really did. In fact, she reminded him frequently. 

“I love you,” she chortled during breakfast when Slytherin had cast a spell to make the bacon strips float around in a dancing manner so that she would cheer up after reading depressing news from the Daily Prophet. Another time, she cooed the term of endearment as he held her tightly in his arms, swaying to the sound of music in the background. 

The thing was that Slytherin rarely said “I love you” in the entirety of their relationship. Instead of saying it back to her, he often replied by cupping her cheeks tenderly and leaning in for another kiss. Other times, he responded with a loving smile, his eyes glowing with warmth and infatuation.

It’s not that Hufflepuff thought Slytherin didn’t love her. She could definitely see it in the way that he looked at her, in those stolen glances when he thought she wasn’t looking. She could feel it when he held her close at night, his arms wrapped protectively around her. 

However, a part of her- the small shadow of doubt within her heart that told her that Slytherin didn’t care for her as much as she did for him- just wished for some kind of affirmation, a clear signal that said, “I love you.” 

One day, Hufflepuff and Slytherin sat side by side in Potions class, listening to Professor Slughorn drone on and on about Felix Felicis. She was absentmindedly staring at the board when Slytherin slid his notes in front of her so that she could see the doodle he drew on the side of his paper.

Hufflepuff bit her lip to suppress a laugh and squeezed his hand 3 times.  

Unfamiliar with the motion, Slytherin asked what the squeezes meant.

“It means I love you,” she whispered. Her voice was soft so that Professor Slughorn didn’t overhear their conversation.  

Nevertheless, Slytherin heard every word. A smile tugged at his lips and he immediately squeezed it back. He didn’t just stop there; he repeated the gesture about 6 times- and Potions class hadn’t even ended yet. 

From that day forward, Slytherin constantly told her I love you. Sometimes he squeezed her hand randomly- before he left for Quidditch practice, during breakfast when she passed him a plate of toast, and after he walked her back to the dormitory. 

Aside from that, he would occasionally tap out the gesture with his finger. 

Tap tap tap. 

Hufflepuff looked up from her book and made eye contact with Slytherin from across the room. She knew what it meant. She always did. 

Slytherin said I love you all the time now, more often than Hufflepuff’s verbal “I love you”. 

She realized that he had a different love language from her, and that was ok. It was the love itself that mattered. 

On their wedding day, as the officiant performed the ceremony, Hufflepuff looked up at Slytherin with adoration. “I love you,” she whispered. 

He smiled warmly at her and squeezed her hand four times. 

I love you too.

You might be wondering why i wrote this one-shot. There was no special occasion this time, I just got a bonk of inspiration one day. also i felt bad for reblogging my ice skating oneshot so much (i did it to respond to other peoples reblogs) and i sent an ask to my favorite fanfic writer, asking her about what happens if i reblog my own work and if it pushes my fanfic up the algorithm, and she answered my question but also said that she usually deletes her reblogs bc her followers would probably get annoyed if they kept seeing the same work over and over again. i felt bad bc i had just done that, and i didnt want yall to constantly see the same fanfic all the time, so i wanted to give u something new. also i was thinking back on that person who said that my writing was sporadic (they werent trying to be mean). Sporadic basically means spaced out and occuring at different intervals. i felt bad bc my writing is definitely spread out by one month for some reason. im not sure what this means for next month bc i never write 2 fanfics in one month. does this mean that i wont write a fanfic for november? hopefully not. ok that sounds sad, im sure it doesnt but who knows bc the college process thingies is killing me 

I wrote out the general details of the story at 1 am one night when i was trying to sleep lmaoao heres a screenshot: 

This is basically how I write for most of my fanfics at first, it consists of the general info along with some specific details.

At first, the one-shot was gonna be a drabble (aka a story that’s only 100 words long) but when I finished writing it, I went to wordcounter to check the number of words and it was 500! i was like oop ok im just gonna call it a oneshot then. i wrote part of the story on sunday morning and then i went to exercise in the park with my sister. afterwards, i wanted to keep working on it but then i became swamped with college stuff so i stopped. i started writing again today (its monday, but im posting it on tuesday, aka today for you- or maybe not if ur not reading this on the day that i posted it) and i surprisingly finished- but that was probably a bad idea to be writing the oneshot during this week because i have a lot of exams, but lets look at the bright side, i finished the story!

I didn’t think of the idea completely on my own. I actually read the reddit story (found it in a thread on insta) a few years ago, and I don’t know why but I was thinking about it that night and I decided to make a one-shot out of it! Isn’t it such a sweet story (the actual story, not this)?? It would be kinda nice if I reached out to the person and said, hey i wrote a story based on you and ur husband! 

Anyways, I just made a meme:
