After making a few people sad on my last post, I have decided to compare F1 Drivers with flowers :)
1) Max Verstappen - Gladiolus
Tumblr media
The gladiolus represents character strength and moral integrity. It has links to the Greek god Apollo after an accidental death.
2) Sergio Pérez - Baby's-Breath
Tumblr media
Baby's-breath is traditionally an accent flower, only being used to complement the main flowers in bouquets. While popularity has grown and have become a flower of it's own, they are still looked as a secondary flower in a bouquet, a filler-flower. They can be attributed to innocence and purity.
3) Charles Leclerc - Dahlia
Tumblr media
Dahlia's are symbols of inner strength, dignity, perseverance, and persistence. However, black dahlia's symbol betrayal, sadness.
4) Carlos Sainz - Camellia
Tumblr media
Camellias represent eternal love, grace, sophistication, and excellence. In Japan, they are used for noble deaths and in Victorian Europe they were attributed to showing wealth and luxury. They have many different variations.
5) Lando Norris - Magnolia
Tumblr media
Magnolias have typically represented nobility, dignity, perseverance, endurance, joy, and happiness. They are typically used to spread a message of finding hope when stuff goes awry, to find grace and peace. The tree itself can represent luck.
6) Oscar Piastri - Hippeastrum
Tumblr media
Also called Amaryllis, these flowers are symbols of achievement, love, strength, determination, and hope. Hippeastrums are popular for their ability to bloom indoors during the winter months, during unfavorable conditions. They are from the southern hemisphere and can bloom in many different colours.
Maybe I'll do a more of these if people like them <3

assigning plants to twst character by meaning pt 2 octavinelle, scarabia, and pomefiore
azul ashengrotto -> okay i assign him the bumblebee orchid and, like riddle, aloe. the bumblebee orchid means hard work or persistence and aloe means grief. hard work, because azul worked hard to create his signature spell, and make a name for himself as the new man he became upon entering nrc. and grief, because grief comes in all forms, including the grief he feels after undergoing bullying and making it to nrc as a whole new person. (and then there was his overblot.) jade leech -> fungi buddy. he was so hard to assign actually. i assign him the yellow iris, which means passion. he's very passionate about his love for mushrooms (which can be a little weird ig). i also assign him the red clover, which, started in the victorian era, means success. he works at the mostro lounge and is the vice to azul, so success seems right to place with him. floyd leech -> floyd! i assign him pink hyacinths, because they mean joy and playfulness. he's very playful when he's in a good mood, and although his mood swings are sudden, and he can also be scary when he's happy. still, i think this flower was well picked for him. kalim al-asim -> i'm assigning him white lilies. he's not even a villain, he stands out in nrc and i love that about him. white lilies symbolize innocence and humility. he's from a wealthy family, but i've never seen him exaggerate that wealth or importance he holds with ill intentions. he's so sweet and doesn't see himself as better than anyone despite the power money can give. jamil viper -> fuck this guy. so, his plant right. yellow hyacinth and black rose. yellow hyacinth because it means jealousy. and black rose because it means hatred. i'm not explaining myself because you should know why. vil schoenheit -> vil <3 bites him. anyways, the dahlia. dahlias in general mean elegance, strength, and dignity. he's dedicated to becoming the fairest of all, and despite his insecurities, he's displayed his strength in not only a physical sense but a mental sense too. (like when he followed idia into the underworld to save him.) rook hunt -> rook, rook, rook. my fav creepo, weirdo, stalker. hat man (/aff). i assign him purple heather. purple heathers symbolize a lot, like admiration and love, for his dedication to pursuing beauty. it also means strength and respect, because he's never looked down on anyone despite his own strength. epel felmier -> my son, who's a pain in the ass (/aff). amaryllis. amaryllis means determination, they are also a symbol of strength. he's determined to prove to everyone he's strong (and masculine). amaryllis also mean beauty; for vil's influence on epel, hoping to build epel up and teach him (while also trying to get rid of the more toxic version of epel's proof in his strength.)
i decided to do more

✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ⚔️SILVER BIRTHDAY SSR FLOWER ANALYSIS* ⚔️*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
*Mandatory reminder that I’m no flower specialist, which means these are all very subjective opinions. Take everything with a grain of salt!
The white roses in Silver’s bouquet symbolize loyalty, purity, and innocence, as well as eternal love – and in turn everlasting loyalty –, a new start, youthfulness, and fresh beginnings. They’re typically gifted to highlight the recipient’s goodness and perfection, as well as to convey you hold a love for them that lasts. However, they’re also popular funeral flowers, in which case white roses are supposed to bring everyone together in spiritual peace and reverence, or to act as a final farewell message to the departed. More than anything, white roses symbolize unity.
Next to his roses Silver has white carnations which usually carry the thought of purity and sweetness. They’re symbols of (familial) love and devotion. By gifting someone white carnation you’re conveying a message of pure love and a prosperous life, but also that you find that person fascinating and unique. They're typically given on Mother’s Day and are said to bring mothers/parents good luck!
Next up he has white amaryllis, which are associated with pride (though when they were discovered by European gardeners in the 1800s pride seemed to be synonymous with beauty). In Victorian England they stood for strength and determination since they stand tall and strong in comparison to other winter flowers. The Greek reading for amaryllis is that of success with winners of tournaments being awarded amaryllis flowers, thus giving them the meaning of hope and achievement. But just like white roses, amaryllis are often given to those in mourning to impart a sympathetic, loving message.
The smaller, white flowers I believe to be lobelias which symbolize love and devotion, as well as healing and recovery, youthfulness, innocence, and simplicity. In Japan they’re a symbol of arrogance, but more notably, lobelias have historically been used in protection spell, or for dream spells. Or these flowers could be heliotropes which traditionally are symbolic of eternal love and devotion, though love in this case is usually a more of a pure and innocent kind of love. Heliotropes convey that your affection is honest and that you have no fear or need to hold anything back. For a third time, they’re also a symbol of sympathy, and often given to express your condolences for someone in a rough situation.
The small white flowers are glysophila or baby’s breath, which stand for purity, innocence, light, goodness, beginnings, possibility, protection, and understanding. They’re commonly paired with (red) roses since they represent innocence and everlasting love.
Lastly, I think he has at least one green rose bud, which symbolizses renewal, rejuvenation of spirit, and energy.
Naturally, these are only my un-educated guesses, but feel free to let me know if I got anything wrong/what flowers I might’ve missed.

Bleeding out flowers.
Amaryllis: symbol of pride, strength and determination - all qualities expected and required by the Ventrue of those who join their ranks. All qualities Dante does not seem to have, according to his Sire. But perhaps, if he cuts deeps enough, if he bleeds a little more... perhaps he will find those flowers.

Ooh flower names!
I'm gonna throw out Amaryllis bc of some cool symbolism around them that really kinda fits Chloe's...everything
Pulled from a flower symbolism website:
"The amaryllis is a beautiful flower with vibrant colors and a unique shape. People often associate it with new beginnings. This is because the flower typically blooms in the winter, a time of year when the world is seemingly at its darkest and in need of renewal. The amaryllis reminds people of the hope and beauty of spring when the world is in a period of renewal.
The amaryllis is a symbol of strength and determination. You have to plant the bulb of the flower and nurture it to full bloom. This process is symbolic of the effort and care needed to achieve any goal or to overcome adversity."
inch resting!

The meanings of flowers and how they relate to ranthredo! And by that I just mean the reasons I picked them to be the name for my rewrite over time.
Amaranth:
The OG. The term ‘Amaranthine’ (derived from the flower Amaranth/Amaranthus) means ‘undying, immortal; eternally beautiful’ and ‘a deep purple/red’.
Which… Y’know… immortality… immortal mc… made sense to me. Especially due to the fact she’s meant to be very closely linked to nature, associating her with flowers was something I always wanted to do.
Amaryllis:
It was actually one of the first names for Amaranth. It was Divine, then Amaryllis, and then Amaranth. It’s a pretty flower, y’know, so I picked it. It does symbolise Pride, determination and strength, though, which did persuade me slightly towards it at the time. But it just wasn’t strong enough for me to keep.
Lycoris Radiata:
Any Lycoris are pretty, but I chose the Lycoris Radiata for a reason.
Lycoris as flowers are part of the same little group as Amaryllis flowers, but are extremely distinctive in their appearance. They’re often called Surprise Lilies, or, in the case of Lycoris Radiata, Red Spider Lilies.
Red Spider Lilies are known for their symbolism of death, especially in Anime since they’re most prominent in east Asia. Despite this, they are incredibly resilient flowers and can grow in most conditions, and share the same feature of other Lycoris flowers of springing up almost with no warning. I have also found sources that say they are associated with rebirth/reincarnation, but I can’t actually back this up any way.
And I kind of associate death, showing up unannounced, being able to live literally anywhere at any time, and being quite noticeable visually… with Avra, at least how I’m currently writing her.
This wasn’t a necessary post I just thought it was fun :)

Info dump #5: Digital Reincarnation Naming Lore + Arts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Been a long time since I’ve done one of these but, I wanted to explain a little thing that will be in the future, since I have posted a series of pictures over the past months, that have taken me longer and stressed me out more than they should have, unfortunately I should add, but that’s my will of starting new things over finishing WIPs, and series of drawings, if consistent make me want to move away rather than not, but that’s me and it’s not what I wanted to talk about.
I wanted to talk about the reason why I chose certain names, some may be pretty obvious, since they are canon, trust me, Yoko Taro said so, but others may be a little spoilery for now.
So if you want to read, do so at your own discretion, they’ll be further down, I’ll start with the canon ones.
As we know, the four YoRHa girls protagonists of the musical had a promise with Rose, even though she didn’t make it to the end, like most of them, that promise never took place, but in an interview and a twitter post, that Rose’s actress (and anime VA too now) Ui Hinagata had been thinking about naming the girls, and revealed it, and as she said the names Yoko Taro plainly declared them canon.
The meaning of the flowers may not be accurate, they’re the most popular meanings online.
A2’s name is Freesia. That flower means trust and friendship, possibly given to her due to the fact that she decided to have faith in Rose and her group, that started everything.
A4’s name is Amaryllis. The flower means pride and determination, possibly since she is always determined to fight no matter what, also may be due to her false memories, she was a school girl that spoke about having a lot of friends that gave her the strength to face a difficult test.
G16’s name is Lycoris. The flower is otherwise known as a spider lily, the meaning seems to be death and goodbyes, possibly tied to her violent nature and for the fact she’s always the first to throw herself in battle.
S21’s name is Cattleya. The flower means beauty, grace, and love, though I do agree that she’s beautiful and graceful (I’m biased as it’s probably obvious she’s my favorite of the four), possibly the name might have been given due to the meaning about love, because as we know personalities of the Number 21 are very caring about the people around them, and their dreams is to have a family.
These were the canonical ones, now the ones chosen by myself, though I did ask for help and an opinion of other friends who love Nier.
2B’s name is Luna, which is short for Lunar Tears, as we feel it’s a flower that would fit her well, ties in the lore of the game, and its meaning is hope in a dying world, which also fits her very well.
6O’s name is Sunny, short for Sunflower, means positivity, admiration and loyalty, personally I feel all three meanings fit her, she’s a happy person, she admires the people close to her and is loyal to them.
These two are a little more niche and tied to the lore of the story, and particularly, tied to Robin.
9S’ name is Clover, though the flower means gentleness and good fortune, he is gentle with 2B, and also he’s lucky and blessed between women as we say, but he’s mostly tied to Robin as if you know her, with Professor Clover. 9S is curious and like him he’s been killed (multiple times) because of his forbidden knowledge. 2B still calls him Nines.
21O’s name is Olivia, olive branches are a symbol of peace, all that YoRHa want, but, much like 9S, if you know the lore, Robin’s mother’s name is Olvia, but as you can see it’s not the exact same, this is because 21O refuses to have the exact name of her mother, even though she feels like one, she doesn’t want to take Olvia’s place. To Robin’s insistence, a letter is added, turning the name to Olivia, keeping it similar yet not the same, and keeping the same flower/plant theme.
These were the ideas, there’s nothing more to this than that.
The chapter will be out a while in the future, the naming is not too far away.

It’s been a long time coming, but I finally buckled down and drew the Master of Masters and Luxu’s flower pieces. I originally didn’t do these two for the simple fact that I had no idea how I wanted to do them or what flowers to use, but I’ve learned a whole lot since my first foray into flowers.
I did go back and fourth on using Luxu’s current ‘persona’ or his old one we see in Back Cover and Union X, but I decided to use his current, because it was an excuse for me to draw long hair, as well as put flowers in them haha.
As usual, Keep-Reading contains flowers and meanings if you’re interested in my choices;
Master of Masters (here-on called MoM for simplicity)
I included as many flowers as possible for MoM, not because I found that there were a lot of flowers I could attach to him, but because of his chaotic nature he exudes every time he’s on screen. Due to this, there’s a lot of overlap with the meanings, with several flowers meaning the same thing. I included 7 ‘meaning’ flowers and 1 flower (clover) that he’s associated with (much like Ava is associated with Dandelions).
The only part of him I included that wasn’t his cloak was his ‘eye’, which is gazing back at you.
Amaryllis: Red Amaryllis is a symbol for pride and strength. MoM is the representation of the deadly sin of Pride, making Amaryllis depict his true self. Amaryllis is also symbolic for determination, and MoM is determined to get rid of Darkness for once and for all, even if it’ll take life-times to do it.
Anemone, half-closed: Anemone foretell harsh times ahead when they are closing, since they do this at night or to protect themselves against harsh weather. The closing Anemone could also mean ‘hiding’ or ‘hidden things’ as it was believed that fae slept in the closed flowers at night. We don’t know much about MoM other than what he’s told us. The Pink and red colouration may seem serene and almost childish, but it in fact denotes death and leaving, much like how MoM dims and fades away.
Eustoma: These flowers represent the charisma and sociability a person has. MoM, if anything we’ve seen is good at winning over people, and is held in great respect by his 6 apprentices. The Purple colouration denotes a more noble and sophisticated side to him; he is the Master of the Masters after all.
Yellow Chrysanthemums: In the flower world, Yellow is usually the symbol for joy and happiness, but for Chrysanthemums, it is the opposite. While the flowers themselves represent joy; Yellow chrysanthemums means departure, loss and rebirth. We don’t know much about MoM, but he does say he has lost a lot of friends to Darkness, as well as him himself disappearing, only to end up in ‘the after life’.
Purple Ranunculus: Over all, Ranunculus has a specific meaning of ‘charm’, but with purple they add a bit of mystery to it.
Buttercup: I originally drew these for Ava’s flower piece for her association with greed and the flower’s symbolic link to it, but Buttercups also mean childishness; which MoM’s personality fits greatly, as he’s often playful and teasing to his apprentices when the mood strikes him.
Purple Carnations: Carnations themselves are indicative of Capriciousness, which once again, MoM is too. Impulsiveness and unpredictable is another way to read Purple carnations, which is still apt for the enigmatic and unpredictable MoM. Clover: It's no surprise that Clover flowers mean the same as their leaves; Good Luck or Good Fortune. There’s no direct character meaning associated with MoM, but he is seen playing around with Clovers in Back Cover (literally playing with luck).
-
Luxu
I put the flowers in his hair, not only because it seemed a reasonable place to put them, but because his old identity is still present and interwoven into his new persona.
Alstroemeria: This flower means ‘life long commitment’, which is often portrayed as ‘life long love’ or partnership. However, I think Luxu takes this to the extreme, living out multiple lives to fulfil his role and duty to the Master of Masters.
Begonia: Begonia flowers foretell dangers, misfortune and challenges, all of which Luxu needs to face in order to fulfil his role without any aid.
Lewisia: with their hardy nature, Lewisia represent toughing it out, as well as rebirth and renewal. Something I bet Luxu is familiar with, jumping from vessel to vessel.
Purple Shamrock/Oxalis: I kind of chose this one for personal reasons, since it's the only species of houseplant I have currently. But aside from that, it can be said that it’s a plant that often means ‘falsehood’, since its a ‘shamrock’ but its colouration is unusual. For this reason, I used the leaves instead of the flowers. I chose this for Luxu, because all through the series he’s been acting as someone else; Braig or Xigbar, and creating a false persona to hide behind.

Yellow Rose VS A bouquet of black-eyed susan, orange lily, amaryllis, canna, black petunia and purple hyacinth
Tumblr media
First, let's talk about the Yellow Rose
Meaning: in flower language they symbolize friendship and cheerfulness... but also jealousy. Why this flower was chosen: this flower is canonically associated with her, and the themes of jealousy and bitterness fit her character as well Description: — Well… Like her father, she seems to have an artistic streak- She has a lot of drawings, and is implied to have some knowledge on sewing as well. She's spent her life isolated from the outside world, and it's had effects on her personality. (As well as her knowledge base for how the world works.) She's generally cheerful, but she's quick to turn on those that upset her, and she latches onto those she *does** like with an intensity only lonely little girls can reach. — A scared, lost, and lonely child desperate to find connection with people. She developed sentience but were not created with it, and since she was not born into the world through "normal" means, she's not entitled to their existence, and deeply envy humans who were just born into life and take it for granted. All she wants is to get to the Real World and live out her life as a human child with friends and family.
Check her post here
Now, let's see the bouquet of black-eyed susan, orange lily, amaryllis, canna, black petunia and purple hyacinth
Meaning – Black-eyed Susan: Justice | Orange lily: Disdain, contempt, hatred | Amaryllis: Pride, strength, determination | Canna: Passion, pride, honor, glory | Black petunia: Anger, resentment | Purple hyacinth: Sorrow, regret, forgiveness Description: He acts out of a distorted sense of justice, trying to condemn anyone he deems a wrongdoer (in the form of him cancelling them on Twitter), genuinely believing himself to be a hero of sorts. [...] Over time, however, it wasn't for justice anymore. After a while, he started going after people for small, insignificant "crimes", simply trying to feed his own ego, living for the glory of it all. [...] Until one day, a girl he had condemned was either doxxed and killed by one of his friends, or perhaps committed suicide [...] He's absolutely HORRIFIED with himself over the incident. He's arrested, but still in denial, insisting he didn't kill anyone. That it wasn't his fault. He knows it was, deep down, but he's so disgusted with what he had done, he refuses to admit it. He frequently lashes out at the prison guard, insisting he doesn't belong there, that they should let him go, that he's not a murderer. But he is. He knows he is. [...]. He hates the prison guard.[...] But his denial has cracked. He finally shows his guilt, his remorse for his crime, and he BEGS. He begs for forgiveness. For just one more chance. A desperate plea for the guard to forgive him. An apology. Saying that he would never do it again. That he'd take it all back if he could. He finally understands what he had been doing to people. [...] The TLDR is: he's so complex. He acted for justice but was misguided. A horrible accident happens, and he regrets it. Then when he's condemned, eventually he understood what he was doing to people, and he's desperate for forgiveness. Overall he's just my poor little meow meow...

you said you wanted people to ask you about plants soooo
whats your favorite plant/flower? and maybe some of the symbolism behind it?
AHHHH THANK U!!!!!! my fav flower is smth I think about a lot. my current fav, tho, is probably amaryllis (pronounced like am-uh-RILL-is btw). I WISH I had one, but the temps where I live are so high, it wouldn’t do great cuz they like average temps (in growth) and low 40s (in dormancy). for lighting it needs darkness (in dormancy) and medium light in growth. it’s a BEAUUUUUTIFUL winter or spring bloomer….n it almost looks like a lily. blooms in clusters and it has different colors + species.
they often symbolize stuff involving strength, ie pride/determination, which is something I LOVE in plant symbolism. OH YEAH AND “AMARYLLIS” IS A GREEK NAME AND IT MEANS “TO SPARKLE”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hold on here’s a pic of one I got online
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the leafs remind me of daffodil leafs almost hehe,,,
OK ALSO my fave plant (specifically houseplants tho) is smth kinda hard to answer. I like butterfly palms (always wanted one but never got one), chinese evergreen (I have one Yas), avocado trees (i messed mine up when I tried growing my own), prayer plants (I have one…I always do tho), and rubber plants (I also have one). I used to always wish I had a butterfly palm and I never ended up getting one. here’s what they look like
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i know they usually have rather positive connotations stemming from Ancient Rome and Greece? but I’m not too sure on symbolism outside of flowers.
one of the prettiest houseplants that is very easy to take care of is pothos. they usually live from 5-10 years. they’re pretty resilient! they love bright indirect light. And get this: they can literally rapidly adapt to their environment, their cell functions can change just from their conditions and everything. they are simple to manage— every time you water them, you should let the soil dry out first (so every 1-2 weeks or so). you don’t need to mist it either. they’re also beautiful, so I would rly recommend this if you are chronically ill, disabled, elderly, very depressed, have executive dysfunction, etc etc.
another resilient and pretty plant is a peace lily. they come in a couple different colors. I know someone who’s had the same HUGE peace lily pot for like 15 years. I’d recommend this if you’ve just started liking plants and are currently obsessed with them, because it loves humidity and to ALWAYS have moist soil. if it’s not wet, the tips of the leaves tend to turn brown which is bad. to help with humidity, I recommend sphagnum moss on the soil. they love misting.
if you want a plant that you can walk past and mist if you wanna, but can’t bring urself to water it directly v often? I recommend something like a spider plant. They’re pretty interesting and you’ve probably seen one before. they like to be misted very often, but they only need to be directly watered after the soils dried. it’s like pothos care but for executive dysfunction.
my fav plant as far as symbolism goes? probably daffodils and hyacinth, mainly for its themes of forgiveness. if you didn’t know, that’s why I usually draw daffodils w/ basil when I get the chance. also: something something white egret orchid something something.
ANYWAYS THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTION :3 SORRU FOR THE RANTING
