If I could submit a book, Hopeless Aromantic (2023) by Samantha Rendle was an excellent nonfiction book about a wide diversity of aro experiences. I really appreciated that it fully acknowledged that most nonfiction books available about aromantics are more often than not books about asexuality with a few additional notes addressing aromanticism and that this book did truly focus on specifically the arospec experience.

JARDINERIA, EL ARTE DE VALORAR LA VIDA MEDITANDO:

Buenas tardes, hace algunas semanas compre un manjo de cebolletas y un manojo de apio, el hecho principal para esto era para seguir cocinando (como lo mencione en mi post anterior), pero se me ocurrió una pequeña idea.

Me dije para mi: utilizare de las cebolletas únicamente el cebollín es decir el tallo verde para cocinar y lo demás lo pondré en un bote de agua para ver si crece la raíz, de igual manera lo hice con el apio pero con este ya un poco después. Lo deje en mi oficina, en un bote las 3 cebolletas juntas en poca agua remojando lo suficiente para el fin de semana ósea de viernes a domingo, para la mañana del lunes ver el resultado.

No miento al decir que no tenia esperanza alguna de que creciera, por que me consideraba una persona incapaz de cuidar otra vida y tenerla en mis manos, pero como no iba estar el fin de semana, no podría estar pendiente de si crece o no crece y que este absurdo experimento podría fallar en cualquier momento, asique me despreocupe ese finde.

Llegado el lunes a mi trabajo, entrando a la cocina no podría creer lo que había ahí, como cachetada de guante blanco, esas 3 cebolletas habían crecido (la raíz) sin mi ayuda, únicamente luchando por sobrevivir, ya con lo mínimo de agua, obviamente cambie el agua y deje que me enseñaran que mas podrían hacer en la semana, cada 2 días haciendo cambio de agua y colocándolas en recipientes separados para que crezcan mejor.

Y a veces uno piensa que por comprar alimentos en este caso vegetales cortados en un supermercado ya están muertos, y como no producen sonidos, no vemos la importancia de si volveros a replantar podrían reproducirse nuevamente.

Esta idea que tuve me hizo reflexionar acerca de nuestras vidas cada día, y no es tan diferente a estas 3 cebolletas en agua, ¿Qué quiero decir? se preguntaran, bueno llegue a la conclusión de que en esta vida venimos a luchar por sobrevivir y entre montones de personas con capacidades y virtudes diferentes a las nuestras y que a veces por estar envidiando, quejándonos, sobre valorando lo que somos, etc. esos obstáculos se vuelven contra nosotros dándonos el mínimo de probabilidad de sobrevivir, por eso cuando encontramos nuestro lugar dejando de lado las adversidades y viendo lo que nos deparara los día, las semanas, los mes y los años siguientes, seremos por fin separados del montón y puestos en un recipiente diferente y únicamente para nosotros con lo suficiente agua, para seguir existiendo y produciendo para nuestro futuro.

Al final de estas semanas no creí caer por el gusto de la jardinería casera, es un tanto burdo al principio, pero le vas tomando el cariño por hacerlo, pacientemente y además que es excelente terapia para meditar, ser contante, amoros@ y mas que nada seguir teniendo la confianza en que si fallas, puedes volver a intentarlo, como la vida lo es.

PD: No importa lo difícil, caótico, o "imposible" que creamos que sea, siempre hay una manera de resolver lo, a excepción de la muerte.

After Book 2, all the younger students (first and second years basically), started to call Leona "Unca", "Unca Leona" or just "Uncle".

Some did this only to annoy him, like Adeuce, Grim, the Octotrio and even Ruggie. While others, like Kalim and Ortho, just decided that Leona was their unnoficial uncle figure.

Lillia somehow managed to convince Silver and Sebek that this is the most important title someone can bestow a person, and, as such, Leona must be addressed as "unca" at all times.(The best title Lillia has ever received was when Silver called him "father. He knows what he's talking about)

Jamil is just freaking out over Kalim's cheerful obliviousness, panicking over the diplomatic implications. He finally calms down and starts referring to Leona as "Amm Leona" after Chapter 6.

(Amm is "uncle" in Arabic, please let me know if I made a mistake).

Epel and Jack both try to avoid the nickname, mostly because they know it annoys Leona and they respect him, but sometimes they forget, much to their embarassment.

Like Epel and Jack, Riddle also tries to avoid saying the nickname, and it works! Except when he's too sleep deprived, that is. Leona usually just gives him a cup of coffee or a Redbull and calls Trey when that happens.

Everyone in Savanaclaw refers to him as "Uncle Housewarden".

The funny thing is, no matter how annoyed he gets at the kids, Leona is actually quite happy, though he would rather die than admit it.

Bilton and Scaggs

Back when I was working in the map of Soho, I got to Bilton and Scaggs Hats and Caps. There is so much to say about this shop and its history, and it is so interesting that it warrants its own post, so here we are

Bilton and Scaggs Publishers was a London publishing firm in the 1600's, we don't really know when it was established though. They were not one of the eight great publishers of London, but they were doing well enough, after all, it was able to survive its three major publishing disasters (which occurred in rapid succession). Alas, it looks like Bilton and Scaggs, publishers went out of business somewhere in the 1890's and the milliner who set up shop there, kept the name. Nowadays, only Aziraphale knows the full story. What follows are details of their disasters. They are quite funny, unless you are Master Bilton or Master Scaggs of course :P

The first one was in 1651; when they accidentally printed the so called Buggre Alle This Bible. This very rare misprinted Bible had a few verses added to Genesis and a variation in Ezekiel. Of course our angel owns one copy. Genesis chapter 3 normally has 24 verses where the last one goes like this: "24. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." The three additional ones go like this:

25. And the Lord spake unto the Angel that guarded the eastern gate, saying Where is the flaming sword which was given unto thee? 26. And the Angel said, I had it here only a moment ago, I must have put it down some where, forget my own head next. 27. And the Lord did not ask him again.

"It appears that these verses were inserted during the proof stage. In those days it was common practice for printers to hang proof sheets to the wooden beams outside their shops, for the edification of the populace and some free proofreading, and since the whole print run was subsequently burned anyway, no one bothered to take up this matter with the nice Mr. A. Ziraphale, who ran the bookshop two doors along and was always so helpful with the translations, and whose handwriting was instantly recognizable." The other issue with this Bible was a little change in Ezekiel 48:5 and it is the change that gives the Bible its name:

Master Biltonn if no Gentelmann, and Master Scagges noe more than a tighte fisted Southwarke Knobbefticke. I telle you, onne a daye laike thif Ennywone with half an oz. of Sense shoulde bee oute in the Sunneshain, ane nott Stucke here alle the liuelong daie inn thif mowldey olde By-Our-Lady Workefhoppe. @ “Æ@;! 6. And bye the border of Ephraim, from the east fide even untoe the west fide, a portion for Reuben.

What we can conclude from here is that Aziraphale owned a bookshop in the 1650's that was in the same block as Bilton and Scaggs Publishers. From the deleted scenes in the script book we know he opened A. Z. Fell & Co. in 1800. But there is nothing saying he couldn't have owned a bookshop with a different name decades or centuries before. The bookshop tour special feature from the S1 DVD says he's had it for 350 years. Counting from 2020, that would put it at around 1670. But if we generalize to around 2000, that means the shop could have been there in the 1650's. This more or less matches this ask where it is explained that Aziraphale bought the land in 1630 and over the next 60 years (1690ish) he expanded and built the current bookshop.

Sorry for the tangent, back to Bilton and Scaggs.

The second publishing disaster occurred in 1653 when somehow they obtained one of the famed Shakespeare's "Lost Quartos" and subsequently lost it (the three Shakespeare plays never reissued in folio edition and now are totally lost to scholars and playgoers. Their names are "The Comedie of Robin Hoode, or, The Forest of Sherwoode", "The Trapping of the Mouse", and finally "Golde Diggers of 1589." In S2 Episode 6 we see all three folios inside the box Gabriel brought with him. I am sure if asked directly, Aziraphale will assure you that he has no idea how those pamphlets got into that box. It was completely empty only four days ago!

The third and final disaster happened in 1655 and involved a prophecy book that didn't sell a single copy and ended up being the first book remaindered in England: "The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, witch." Not even the sign "Locale Author" attached to the book helped sell it in the author's home town in Lancashire. At the end the publisher destroyed all the unsold copies. Aziraphale, however, seems to have found the 1655 catalog from Bilton and Scaggs that contained only the 1972 prophecy "Do not buy Betamax."

I do find interesting that although evidently Aziraphale had a close relationship with Master Bilton and Master Scaggs, he still failed to secure a copy of the prophecies. It was printed right there! Next to you! How did that happen? Where were you, Aziraphale??!!

I already talked about this with mtf E. Amelia Munson but listen... Because I forgot if I shared it around or in a private DM with friends and also kind of wrote an AU Pirate fic about it but hey

Trans Xxxx Munson not knowing what name to take. They don't want to use the deadname male version, they want something new. Maybe it is because their dad chose that name when their mom was pregnant, or maybe it just reminds them about what they were "supposed to be" (or better said, the people who told them those words)

They want something new, something closer to this new life in this little town with their uncle.

And that's why, a nice summer night, the first one where they can act, dress and just exist as they are, they are sharing a cold root beer, Wayne a beer. They are just on the porch, enjoying the weak wind that it's not enough to make them stop sweating. They are listening to some Johnny Cash on Wayne's old radio and talking about the day.

They hear how Wayne does his best not to use Xxxx as a name, mostly using kiddo, kid, boy (which makes them happier) and they smile, ready to talk. A bit anxious, trying not to show the emotions in their voice.

"Can I ask you a question, Wayne?"

"Go ahead," Wayne replies immediately before drinking more of his cold beer.

"If you had... if you could amm..." they swallow when Wayne's eyes are over them. "If you had had a son, which name would you have chosen for them?"

Wayne's expression doesn't change; he is very hard to read, and they discover it daily. They remembered when younger thinking Wayne was a stern rude uncle, just to be completely wrong about it. Yeah, he was hard, but it was because he didn't show much with his expressions.

He takes some air and looks at the dark woods in front of him, they don't know just woke up a sad old story in their uncle's memories. But he just nods and doesn't look back at his nephew.

"Edward was a nice name. Your mom would always say it differently tho. Eduardo."

They nodded, realizing the other question in his head wasn't going to fit right now, not at this moment.

"Why that name?"

"I don't know." Wayne tilted his head, licking his lips. "I read it somewhere, one of those few books that took my attention. And I like it, sounds pretty nice, don' you think so?"

"Sounds very preppy."

"Maybe? Just sounds very powerful, you know? There are brave soldiers with that name somewhere in old stories."

They nodded, playing with the brown bottle on their hand. Almost empty.

"I like it." they said finally. "I like it enough... may I?"

Wayne looked at him, lifting both eyebrows.

"What?"

"Use it."

His uncle frowns, and for the first time, he can see something in those eyes. Not just something, but a lot of emotions. Showing almost like a watery frame under them. Wayne clears his throat.

"Well, boy, you need to choose it yourself. Don't you say so? You wanted something important, something big. Don't listen to this guy. And you already had a list, right?"

"But, it is important for you and for sure big." He smiled. "You said it, brave soldiers may be called Edward somewhere. Many knights that fight dragons." he leans closer to his uncle's chair. "May I use it?"

Wayne looks at him for a second before covering his mouth and just rubbing his fingers around his lips. He looks back at the forest and clears his throat.

He finally nods.

"Good. I like it."

"Well, I'm glad you got a name now." Wayne chuckles, trying to disperse the last thoughts. "School begins soon and you don't want the others to use the other name on you, right?"

"Right! It will be much better."

Wayne nods, playing with the bottle of beer as his nephew did before. They let some seconds of silence pass around, both not knowing why but feeling it was necessary.

"Just don't make a teacher use it for the first time to scold you or call me because you got in trouble."

"Of course not! I'm not that kind of Edward!" he said as a joke, realizing a second after that he liked the sound. "I'm the good one."

"I'm sure you are, Eddie."

Ok. Nevermind about just Edward.

He thinks at the end, as he looks at his uncle's melancholy and how he puts his bottle of beer closer so he can hit it with his root beer. Maybe, after all, he likes just Eddie even more.

I think it was allowed to submit Mangas too the Aro Movies Monday, and if not, please forget about this one.

I submit ブルースカイコンプレックス or Blue Sky Complex. It's a yaoi or BL manga that revolves around two students Narasaki and Terashima. In the manga they start a relationship, (I know), but the important is that it's stated that Narasaki only is interested and has dated Terashima.

There's a part (at least in the Spanish translation) that when Terashima is asked about their relationship says that he has always known he's gay, but it's different for Narasaki. And it's also hows that the more time they spend together, the more interested Narasaki becomes in Terashima. It's not said aloud, but for me it reads as Narasaki is aromantic (probably demiromantic).

There are other relationships mentioned and others bond forming, but is pretty aro-friendly and interesting to read.

I cannot handle the sheer ridiculousness of their old-married-couple flirting in the Good Omens radio play.

Crowley: …no Daily Telegraph crossword, no small antique shops, no interesting first editions on the shelves of your bookshop— indeed, no bookshops. Aziraphale: Ah ah ah! But I have ✨Bibles!✨ Crowley: Ahh, the infamous Bibles. Aziraphale: Mistakes in typesetting do not alter the fact that they are ✨Bibles!✨ Crowley: Which of them has 1 Corinthians saying, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall inherit the kingdom of God?” Aziraphale: The Unrighteous Bible! Crowley: *laughing* I like the one with the compositor’s error: The Bugger All This Bible. Aziraphale: If such it may be called. Crowley: Ezekiel chapter 48: “Buggre all this for a Larke. I amme sick to mye Hart of typefettinge.” Aziraphale: *pained at his rendition* Yes… Crowley: And the three extra verses in the third chapter of Genesis— Aziraphale: *scandalized* You had those removed! The fact that Crowley knows Aziraphale's collection well enough to quote it to him, chapter and verse, is so married of them I cannot even.

Seriously, what an exchange, though. Crowley walks into Aziraphale's bookshop and breaks the news about the antichrist. He takes him out to feed the ducks while going over the details, then out to lunch for a drunken discussion about what it will mean if Heaven wins. He lists off things Aziraphale will miss, and as Aziraphale drunkenly laments ineffability, the list gets more and more pointed until finally he's quoting Aziraphale's own book collection at him. And then finally quotes Aziraphale's own words from the first time he defied God, but which he and Crowley had already mused — six thousand years prior — maybe wasn't actually defying God at all.

And then Aziraphale suggests they sober up and matter-of-factly states that he can't interfere with the Divine Plan. "Look, my people are more than happy for Armageddon to happen. It's what it's all about. The Great Final Test. Flaming swords, the Four Horsemen, the whole tedious business. I can't interfere with Divine Plans."

Crowley reframes it as countering a Diabolical Plan. And Aziraphale, who Crowley has been telling exactly what he needs to hear, finally agrees. He agrees to go along with Crowley's plan, and he throws himself so deeply into the cover story that when the antichrist's 11th birthday rolls around, part of him hopes that Crowley was right and that "you can't be certain that thwarting it isn't part of the Divine Plan, too."

Crowley knows him, and knows how to get him to agree. Aziraphale doesn't just agree in that moment; he harbors at least a tiny kernel of hope that maybe Crowley is truly right. Aziraphale had been completely resigned that there was nothing they could do, but eleven years after that conversation with Crowley, he calls up the Metatron with the desperate hope that maybe eleven years ago, Crowley was right.

Hello, how are you feeling? I hope that everything is going well for you. 💕

Anyway, I wanted to request some William James Moriarty x Reader, where they know each other for a pretty long time now and the Reader wants to confess her love to him, but is a bit shy and has troubles with it.

Also on the same time, she knows about the plan and she doesn’t want to ruin it, even though she thinks it is unfair for him to sacrifice himself like that.

3 years passes after the Final Problem events, Reader thinks she finally moved on and then William comes back and with him, the feelings Reader had for him. Of course Reader is pretty upset with him for disappearing for 3 years and making her go through all of this. But in the end, she forgives him and is happy being able to see him again. And finally, the Reader builds up the strength and tells him on how she really feels.

So yup, some angst to fluff, and maybe some hurt/comfort as well. Of course if you don’t mind it 😊

I was just sitting in my room and thinking about William. He is such a sweet young lord and every lady wants him, even me….

“Ahh….” I was upset.

“Is everything alright Y/n-chan??” Louis asked while standing at my door.

“Louis… omg hey… yeah im good”.

“I knocked but you didn’t answer”

“No no it’s alright.. Why did you come here?? If i can know?”

“Oh yeah, William nii-san told me to tell you we have a meeting about next target”

“I will be down in second”, i said and he left room with smile.

This is a day… i will tell him after meeting.

/2 hours later/

“That’s the plan guys”, Liam said and everyone went to do there job.

As i wanted to leave i stopped and remembered i will tell him about my feelings now.

“Hey Liam… before i go I wanted to tell you something…”

“Yes Y/n what is it?” He looked at me.

He beautiful eyes… i love them so much…

“You know I was really scared to tell you this but…..”

Wait… If i tell him about my feelings and he doesn’t feel like that too he will kick me out of group or the plan wouldn’t work if he is with me..

“Y/n????!!!” Liam said.

“Oh yeah sorry.. amm nothing sorry im gonna go and do my part of job”…

With that i left the room and I can say i was avoiding Liam for long time. But soon i was regretting that. Right now im sitting at his grave and crying…

“I wish you are here Liam… You know i had feelings for you but you are not with me anymore in this world we made…. You are such a stupid brat sometimes…. We told you that you don’t need to sacrifice yourself but no you didn’t listen…”

I got up and left some flowers there and went home. It was already dark when i got back home and lights were on??? Strange?? Louis told me he will be somewhere tonight. Oh yeah in mansion were only me and Louis now so it’s quite sometimes. I got inside and heard voices? Familiar ones. I got in living room and saw everyone…

“Omg….” I said with tears and everyone were now looking at me.

I ran to Albert to hug him.

“ALBERT OMGG!!!!”

“Y/nn heyyy it was a while”

He hugged me back and could say he wanted to cry too. When we pulled away I hugged everyone but than i saw SHERLOCK?!

“Sherly?! What… but????”

“He is here too (nickname)”

“Y/nn!!!”

A voice i missed said. One I thought i will never hear again. I turned around and saw HIM. Lord of crime…… William James Moriarty…. My sweet Liam. I ran to hug him and he hugged me back. Something i didn’t expect was a kiss. He kissed me…

“I knew about your feelings but never said anything because everybody knew i will kill my self. Im sorry my sweet princess”

I just looked at him and kissed once again..

today in: Me trying to forget the current history of the comics and completely ignoring that Venom will meet Spiderman in the movies. A stupid idea of what it would be like if by chance Movie!Eddie and Comic!Eddie switched symbiotes 🎉yiphi🎉

1.- "Let's go for some bad guys"

Venom and Comic!Eddie:

So I keep thinking about Venom constantly bugging Eddie about going after some bad guys. He just replies "Yeah, here we go let me finish this report" the exact same excuse that Movie!Eddie gives them every time. things get strange when Eddie actually saves his report, turns off the computer, gets up from the table and goes to the window leaning until he almost falls, they wait a few seconds and Eddie asks:

– So? Are you going out? Or..

– Wait, really?

– "really" what?

A few more seconds pass and Venom covers Eddie's body to go out to devour some heads, Venom's happiness cannot be explained in those moments.

Venom Symbiont and Movie!Eddie:

The symbiote is not usually begged because Comic!Eddie understands its needs, but this Eddie, Movie!Eddie, oh, if his Eddie was foolish, this was four times as foolish.

– I already said no and it's no

– Come on, I'm dying here!

– Don't be dramatic, have some chocolate bars and shut up, I'm working.

that's enough..

Other than tantrums and complaints, Eddie didn't expect the symbiote to do anything about it. At most he might break some valuable thing like the TV or scratch the couch more than Venom had left it. His surprise was great when he became unconscious and a few hours later he woke up on the roof of a building covered in blood and some bodies around him.

– w-what the fuck did you do?

– Sorry Eddie. Hungry, very hungry, we couldn't contain ourselves

Maybe he would have to rearrange his schedules, because he couldn't afford to be unconscious from time to time and wake up hours later covered in blood in some strange place

2.- Spider web

It had probably been a week since they got together, but Comic!Eddie was still trying to pull cobwebs off his wrists. At first Venom thinks it's weird that he did weird poses with his hands, then they went through Eddie's memories and now they make fun of him every time he tries to pull cobwebs.

While Movie!Eddie was very scared when he realized that cobwebs could come out of his wrists. He had to accept that they are very helpful most of the time, but he is still terrified of flying through the air.

3.- Trust

Venom and Comic!Eddie:

Venom was surprised to feel the trust Eddie placed in them. It was like it was almost impossible for Eddie that something bad could happen between them or that Venom would let something bad happen to him. In part this gave them self-confidence.

Venom Symbiont and Movie!Eddie:

It was difficult for the symbiote to show that Eddie that he could trust them and despite his misunderstandings, he had no reason to fear them. But the symbiote noticed that even with his previous symbiote there was this strange mistrust.

He partly understood, Eddie lives in a world without superheroes or supervillains with superpowers. For him, super powerful beings are just part of movies, series, comics, books...

In general, the fact that one day he was a normal reporter doing his job taking down a large company and the next moment he had a symbiotic alien, with superhuman strength and a fascination for eating brains. at least the Eddie of his universe was somewhat related to the superhumans that lived on his planet, but to this Eddie everything was so new and strange. Maybe things will go slowly, but they will teach this Eddie that he can put his trust in them, come what may.

4.- Anne

Venom and Comic!Eddie:

– Hey, I haven't seen Anne in this universe, where is she?

– Annie? oh amm, she- she died, long long time ago

– WHAT?!!1??1!

Venom Symbiont and Movie!Eddie:

*After Eddie had a call with Anne

– We didn't know that the Anne of this universe was still alive.

– Annie? Well yes, she's not alive in your universe?

– No

– And what happened with her?

– Suicide

*Eddie swallows dry – You say it like you don't care

– Not much really, We don't dislike her or anything, but kept Eddie constantly worried and got in the way of our plans. really annoying.

– oh

Maybe he's considering keeping this symbiote away from Anne.

5.- Flash Thompson

Movie! Eddie and the Venom symbiote are not going to meet Flash in the universe they are in. But I love thinking about Comic!Flash meeting Movie!symbiote, demanding that Eddie give it back.

Venom asking – who is that guy?

and Eddie like – Nobody, don't listen to him, let's just get out of here

6.- Head

Venom Symbiont and Movie!Eddie:

– Why do you always talk in my head?

– ?

– You know, Venom used to stick out a big head and talk to me.

– Oh yeah, we can do something like that

Eddie expected the big head of Venom, big white eyes and long, pointy fangs coated with saliva but instead, a small black tentacle without eyes or mouth came out of his shoulder. It wasn't threatening or creepy, it even seemed kind of cute.

Venom and Comic!Eddie:

Eddie did not comment on the Venom spectacle. But he would like them not to show their teeth so much, he doesn't know if Venom is asking him for things nicely, threatening him or seducing him

aaaaaaand we're back for more of a look at this year. today's topic is reading, which is considerably less sparkling than writing for the reasons below.
