Waiting for Pizza by me feat. my coworker / work husband

Had a 4/20-themed flash event today at the shop and while I got to do some decent pieces, it also didn't end up being as busy as we were hoping, which is a bummer. But there's always next weekend and the weekend after, as we have two separate back-to-back tattoo expo's coming up, so those will undoubtedly make up for the slog. Didn't help that the weather was crappy and there were like 6 other events going on today LMAO

We went to a local sit-in pizza place after, it's the only place in town that serves decent vegan cheese but man, they were SLAMMED and apparently they were using a new PoS system that was slowing things down even more, and that's how I ended up spending an hour out of the three we spent there drawing my coworker while we waited for our food (〃￣ω￣〃ゞ

i know this blog is probably run as a joke but as someone who's cognitively disabled & genuinely struggles with reading comprehension sometimes, your blog is like a fun & silly way to actually try and practice and get better at it without the anxiety of school or grades :3

way too often i see a post on here that looks genuinely important but the words just dont make any sense to me and i cant make out what it means & sometimes those reading comprehension questions actually help me work out what point OP is trying to make cus i usually dont know what questions to even ask when im confused or where to start so i just wanna say thanks for running this blog! it may be a joke or have started that way but this blog is like actually pretty helpful in improving my reading comprehension!!

I don't often respond to asks (which does make me feel bad, especially when so many of them are so kind) because otherwise this blog would be @ask-answering-posting, but I'm feeling sentimental (and sick AGAIN) so here we are

It's always very touching when someone sends me kind words, but it's especially touching when said kind words are about some actual, tangible benefit that my silly reading comprehension questions blog is having on people who follow it/see it frequently. It's weird but heartening to consider that I have had such an impact on people by happening to do the right thing at the right time at the right place, even if said thing is starting a gimmick blog because I thought it'd be fun to write reading comprehension questions for random Tumblr posts

I still can’t get over how the opening scene of Good Omens was the serpent of Eden being told to “go make some trouble” and deciding to tempt humans into gaining knowledge, and an angel being issued a flaming sword and told to make sure the humans don’t return to Eden, and instead of using the flaming sword to guard the gate he tells them “it isn’t safe for you here anymore” and gives them the sword so they will be safe out there. And then they stand around quietly panicking about it together because both of them suspect that isn’t quite what their instructions were supposed to mean.

Today was a check for the bucket list - I got to witness the solar eclipse at 100% totality. It was amazing to get to watch the moon slowly creep across the face of the sun, and the world around us become darker until we could practically see the stars, just for a few minutes of complete totality when we could stare into the path of the moon blocking out the sun completely.

Of course, my shitty phone pics don't really do it justice, so here are photos taken from our town by much better photographers 🤣 💖

Despite having seen photos of total eclipses in the past, seeing one with my own eyes was an amazing experience I'm not likely to forget any time soon. And if I do... there will be another one in about 50 years 🤣 (so I gotta make it to my 80's!)

Hi everyone.

With a heavy heart I have to say that this blog is on hiatus for the foreseeable future. I tried so hard to keep doing these from time to time but it's becoming clear to me that it's not sustainable with my actively worsening mental health.

I'm not the sort of person to make many promises because I know I'm fickle. That being said, I promise that (obviously excusing circumstances like me dying or something) I will post again when I'm better. The post might be something along the lines of "I don't really want to do this anymore for reasons outside of mental health" but I promise you that I will post again some day.
