It's a NPMD au where everything leading up to the Summoning is the same, but when Pete, Steph, and Grace try to use the black book to summon the Lords, they accidentally swap places with them instead.

This is loosely tied to a headcanon that the Black and White itself is semi sentient, and craves balance. So much so that it subtly altered the black book with the intention that the switch would happen. Which I haven't fully fleshed out details for, but, that's the gist of it.

Anyway, all this is to mean that the Lords get turned into human teenagers, and the humans become new Lords. Grace gets Wiggly's powers, Pete gets Tinky and Nibbly's powers combined, and Steph gets Blinky and Pokey's powers.

Webby and Hannah also switch places because the black and white is not thorough in its fuckery.

Alongside that, Wiley gets ejected from the black with the human lords, and for funsies John MacNamara also gets ejected (after being partially dissolved, it's a thing).

So now the newly human lords have to deal with going to school for the first time, being human in general, but also Max who is still trying to kill them, AND people with Eldritch powers they Do Not Know how to use. Pete accidentally gets them amm stuck in a two week time loop, during which the lords end up getting repeatedly killed by max in various ways, all while Pete, Steph, and Grace are trying to figure out where the fuck the black book went so maybe someone can read it and switch everything back.
