This song really speaks so honestly to the deeply self-destructive spiralling for B, in my opinion. This post contains both natal & synastry observations!

These are my personal observations based on people Ive met and celebrities and are not to be taken as facts. The rest of the chart has to be taken into consideration so not everyone will relate.

• Having Saturn and Neptune both aspecting the Ascendant is perfect for a model. The Saturn effect makes the model look cold and untouchable. But the dreamy Neptune effect makes the onlookers delulu enough to think they might be able to look like the model too if they buy the product the model is wearing.

• Ascendant ruler in the 10th house people makes someone come across as authoritative.

• Capricorn Risings wants to come across as somebody with high status. Might like to wear their work uniform or ”the original” and ”timeless” brands. The kind of people to wear their stethoscope and white coat on their profile pic.

• Mars Square Ascendant can have this tense ”you better watch yourself” look.

• When your Lilith conjunct someones Ascendant they might represent everything you just cant be with. Huge age difference seems to be the most common theme here but also different religions especially if Lilith is in Sagittarius. If Juno is involved yall might make it work anyways but if not it can be secret relationship. Ascendant person feels like the Lilith person see right through them.

• Bella(695) conjunct Ascendant shows up a lot in the charts of beauty queens. Both Vanessa Williams and Priyanka Chopra have Bella conjunct Ascendant and Priyanka won Miss World and Vanessa won Miss America.

• Ascendant ruler conjunct the Ascendant seems to give a very strong personality and presence. Both Madonna and Beyonce have this.

• Ascendant Ruler in the 2nd house = making money bc of your looks. Ex. Pamela Anderson.

• Ascendant ruler in the 2nd house or vice versa might change their look a lot when they get money. Might like to spend money on their looks. Kylie Jenner for example have her 2nd house ruler in the 1st house.

• Venus/Ascendant usually have a beauty mark, very often beside the eye or the Marilyn Monroe mole.

• One of the easiest ways to recognize a venusian ascendant is the lips. They seem to often be heartshaped, a prominent cupids bow or just a very soft and plump look. Pouty mouth.

• Ascendant Ruler in the 9th house might have a look that you see instantly where they come from or the opposite. Might get a lot of questions about their cultural background.

• Someone with planets conjunct your Ascendant in synastry will make sure you notice them. Because they sure as hell noticed you and you better reciprocate or they will start acting all rude to get your attention.

• Pluto conjunct Ascendant in the Fama(408) Persona Chart makes you THAT bitch. Makes me think of the lyrics ”you know im the face of the city bitch, thats what you mad”

• Lilith aspecting the Ascendant can make someone look very ”goth” even if they dont even have that style.

• Pluto conjunct Ascendant liked to hide and protect themselves which is seen on how they style themselves. Might like sunglasses, a lot of makeup, a lot of tattoos, wearing a cap, military clothes, walking around with a bulldog.

• Dainty(9758) conjunct Ascendant makes someone look so delicate.

• Air Ascendants seems to just know everyone.

• I cant stand Venus Square Ascendant in synastry. Im a Cap Rising and so many Aries Venuses said I was boring and too serious. I know its true but the Cap Venus guys love it. The issue with this aspect is that there seem to be some kind of attraction but at the same time something bothering the Venus person. And if the rest of the synastry is good it can make Venus want to still be around Asc but still be bothered by them. And I cant stand relationships where you only ”half” like eachother.

because of that one post i wanna talk about things in sw fics that instantly make me click out lol. im not naming any but yeah. like okay i may not always click out cause some of them are cool so yeah

1. when they make anakin too pathetic lol. like not the funny kind but weird pathetic💀💀 anakin was a smart guy lol. like dumb in a funny way but anakin was good with strategy. he was open and honest too. when those qualities of him are taken is that even anakin?

2. when the jedi council know about anidala. like guys that’s not possible. please. the thousands of years of rules wont change cause of 1 guy. be so serious. anakin isnt that important to the jedi council. just make him leave the order😭😭 he’d be happier without being there.

3. undermining padme. need some people to read her novels to know how determined padme was to create a better world. she was a fighter till the end. her dying is more than just anakin. everything she ever believed in was shattered. some of u dont get her the way i do.

4. okay this might be funnily weird but when satine isnt mentioned!! lol. like it can have other obi wan ships but when obi was centric thing happens and he talks about love and all but doesnt mention satine? mind u thats the woman he was willing to leave the order for😭😭 stop acting like disney who like to pretend padme never existed. yall do the same with satine.

5. i love time travel fics but some of them having characters that instantly blurt out the truth instead of pausing and thinking what will happen if i do this.

6. LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT. when yall take one side with the parents. istg. leia is breha and bail’s kid and she is also anakin and padme’s. anakin and padme were created based off of luke and leia😭😭 you can’t change the similarities between them because it EXISTS FOR A REASON. but also you dont get to ignore bail and breha’s hand in raising leia. if leia was left to be raised by vader she’d be twisted into sth evil. leia’s goodness and righteousness and sense of justice, all of which she inherited from padme and anakin, was ALSO taught by bail and breha. they taught her to be a good person. someone who fights for justice and freedom. leia is all of their legacy. please stop picking sides it’s gross. anakin and padme didnt have a choice when it came to parenting leia because one was dead and the other thought leia was dead but they loved her from the moment they knew they would have a child. anakin was even convinced it would be a girl and he was so excited. to not acknowledge that is insulting really. and also, it was bail and breha who raised her and loved her. she was their child. their pride. to not acknowledge everything leia is BECAUSE of them is also insulting. i need fic writers to do better

re EE being in the periphery. i’m pretty sure there were articles about how germany uses EE countries in EU for cheap labor. like sure, they’re privileged compared to most say african states, but it’s not like WE countries give that privilege for free or out of good heart, when in reality it’s geographic control + cheap labor + brain drain. combined with the fact that EU doesn’t allow for state control of markets, it means that those EE countries that had state enterprises are now in disadvantage. like i think EE countries have more in common with latin american countries than western europe , idk.

yeah, and not only articles you can find in english, but there are actual studies and articles; they are however in croatian so i dont know how much help would that be (the emmigration issue here is huge, its mainly to germany/ireland) (we have so many SONGS about moving to germany and ireland too). heres wikipedia on it, i guess you can use google translate and it also lists something quite shocking: many cities and villages in croatia and bosnia have more people living in germany than in their respective native towns.

as for lived experience, when i visited germany, you could literally walk around the city and find our people there, mostly in low-skill jobs. i once said "u pičku materinu" and a totally random guy in the street was like "ooooo pa evo i naših". "arbajt" and "bauštela" are such common phrases here that they have become memes, and dalmatians from zagora literally wear mercedes signs around their necks. recently there was an article saying how, despite euro, people from imotski STILL mourn over the deutsch marke, because they used to go work there, and then would come home and just live for an entire month off one bill. they STILL convert euros to marke.

EE is a neo-colony to the WE. whenever i talk about this, while i do use EE as a term because its more understood than SEE (southern-eastern europe), my experiences are yugoslavian, and there are big differences between eastern bloc and exyu countries. it isnt the same, economically nor politically, since yugoslavia was a part of the third world movement, thus primarily working with african and latam countries in its past (also reason why we have the lowest skin-based-racism in europe)(different than nationality racism, thats what we excel at).

a lot of croats (esp dalmatians) mainly moved to latam countries during ww2 as opposed to the usa (the current chilean and argentinian presidents are croatian dalmatians)(sorry guys we are kinda ruining yalls countries)

it was very surprising to me when i started following global-south-commies on here, they always have very positive opinions of yugoslav countries. i find it very endearing how all my political yugoslav posts end up being hits among them.

politics unrelated, croats tend to love latam countries because of football, messi was literally the coolest person in the entire world while i was a kid. there are lots of similarities in mentality.

I actually just put my playlist on shuffle and this song came up and i felt really connected to it and decided to write a story based on it. I hope yall like it and i hope yall had good holidays and everything. ill try to post more depending on how i feel. “Itll be okay…” you said to Stephen as you caress his cheek for the final time. Your sweet lips curling into a soft smile as you say “it's gonna be okay Stephen…I..”. Stephen sits up from his bed gasping with tears rolling down his face. It's been 2 years since he lost you. 2 years since you lost your life while trying to save the world. 2 years before he could tell you he loves you. You didn't get to finish your final words with him before the portal took you away. Everyday since he's been scouring the multiverses hoping to find you and bring you back home to him. It's been haunting him more and more… The desire to bring you back the grief of losing you is too much to bear. Stephen gets out of bed and begins to open the eye of agamotto in order to start searching for you. He searches day and night in different multiverses until finally he finds you… You're walking down the street wearing headphones and entering a house. He follows you as you enter and run up some stairs to a bedroom. Stephen follows you into the room, he can feel some tears gathering in his eyes as he finally found you… he could finally tell you what he always wanted to tell you. Before he could get his body form into this multiverse, you turn around towards him and say “Stephen I know you're here… come out or at least let me see you…”. Stephen with a soft look of surprise on his face fully showed himself to you “how did you know i was here?..” He asks. “I had a feeling…. Now onto the bigger things… you're not my Stephen Strange, are you?” you say with a hint of curiosity. Stephen laughs “you've always been so intuitive”. You smile back “ you know it… now why are you here?...”. You ask gently as you sit on your bed. Stephen can't help but admire you… you've always been so beautiful and smart. “I-ive been looking for you Y/N…I want to take you back to my dimension…” He says getting close to you and kneeling before you. “You dont know how much ive missed you… how much i wanted you back in my life…I love you Y/N….” he says softly with teary eyes. Your face falls at his confession as you pull Stephen into a hug. “Please come with me to my dimension ...please we can be happy there…'' he says in a quiet desperate voice. “Stephen…” you say as you caress his cheek “i cant…” you whisper softly. Stephen stands up as he starts to feel confused “why not?....I would give you everything Y/N if you asked me… all i want is for us to be happy… and together…”. “Oh Stephen….i'm not your Y/N ... ..and we never figured out the whole romance part….” you say sadly as you sigh. “I have a whole life here Stephen…I can't give that up no matter how much I want to….” Stephen looks round the bedroom for the first time and realizes there are pictures of you with what seems to be your partner. He also notices a wedding ring nestled on your finger. You go to a nearby drawer and take out a neatly folded letter and hand it to him. “Here… In my universe you never made it home…so I wrote this letter to let out all my feelings about you…” you press it in his palms and smile sadly at him. A few tears start to show in your eyes as you caress his cheek “itll be okay…you know that right..”. He stares at you with a soft sad smile as he says “ you know..those first few words were the last few words you were telling me before i lost you…”. “I know…I said those same words as well as the words…” you pull him into a hug as you continue “I wish you love….” Stephen's eyes widen a bit as he laughs sadly while his tears spill out. You smile softly as you bid him goodbye for the final time. Who knows if you and Stephen Strange were ever supposed to be together but one thing is for sure…you both wish love and happiness for each other no matter the universe or multiverse.

Toxic!Billy Hargrove x toxic! Reader

Warnings: mentions of violence/physical abuse, toxic relationship, injuries mentioned, angst, not-so-happy ending, sad reader, sad Billy, please let me know if I missed any, it’s my first fic!!

Summary: Kind of was inspired by Love the Way You Lie by Eminem (ft. Rihanna). But I also added a line from Happier than Ever by Billie Eilish too, because it made sense.

Authors note: YALL, I’m scared. I’m terrified. I wrote this so sporadically throughout the day, I don’t even know how it is because I know if I read it, I’ll change my mind. So, I’m take a chance and posting this now. I kind of based this off a song, but it’s how I envisioned a relationship with Billy Hargrove would be like, just because the SOB would be toxic. But I’m nervous and scared and didn’t quite proofread so I’m so sorry if it’s shit. But anyways, hope y’all at least find it decent!!

Ps: also the formatting is shit because I don’t own a laptop and wrote this on the google docs app, just to paste it here 🤗.

Your wobbly legs bring you up the steps into the Hargrove residence. You fumble with the keys, your hands shaky as you jam the correct one and unlock the door. Without much of a second glance behind you, you slam the door, only for it to be caught by Billy’s hand.

“The fuck you trying to slam doors for?” He shouts. He was already starting this shit. Not even five minutes of entering his house and he was starting his bullshit.

“Cry about it.” You snapped back.

You stomp over to the room on the left side of the hallway and swing the door open. His heavy footsteps trailed behind you, and before you could attempt to shut the door again, he stopped it with his boot cladded foot.

“Dont fucking walk away from me. What’s your fucking problem?” He flails his arms out, letting them fall back to his side with a dramatic ‘thud’.

You kept your back turned to him, arms crossed over your heaving chest. You shut your eyes for a moment as if to calm yourself down in some way, but you don’t answer him. He knew very well what your ‘problem’ was - it was a trick question, really.

“Huh? Look at me when I’m talking to you, y/n,” he stares at the back of your head, and when he doesn’t get a response, he felt anger bubble in the depths of his core, “I said fucking look at me!” He shouted suddenly, making you jump.

You didn’t understand how things escalated within such a small amount of time between the two of you, but it seemingly always did. You invited him to be your plus one at someone’s house party. The night was going well, you two were having a blast. That was until he saw you chatting up the town’s freak, Eddie Munson, near the house’s back entrance. Billy saw red. In his eyes, you had been flirting with the metalhead; the way you nudged his shoulder playfully or how your head threw back in a fit of laughter at one of his stupid ass jokes. Everything happened so quickly as he approached the two of you, threatening to throw punches if the little shit didn’t scram.

It wasn’t a secret your relationship with him was..complicated. You lost count on how many public arguments and screaming matches you both got into at school. Everyone who was rooting for the two of you changed their minds rather quickly. You were y/n l/n, the girl who finally tamed Billy Hargrove. Little did they know.

You whipped around, now facing a red-faced Billy. “You’re kidding, right? You can’t be that dense Hargrove, come on.” You let out a dry laugh, giving him a look that only fueled his anger more.

“You’re really going to sit there and act like you didn’t just embarrass me in front of my friend? In front of all of Hawkins High!” You held your arms out and they too fell to your sides.

He scoffed. “Embarrass you? How do you think I felt, when..when my fucking girlfriend was all over some other prick, huh? How do you think that made me feel, y/n? You made me look like a fucking cuck in front of everyone.” He dragged his hand along his chin as if in disbelief.

“You know what I think, y/n, ” He began, taking a few steps toward you, “I think you like doing this to me. You like hurting me, don’t you?” He was closer to you now. You take an instinctive step back, your neck craning to meet his burning gaze. His eyes were red from the alcohol he consumed earlier that night.

“You’re fucking ridiculous.” You whispered. He chuckled darkly.

“And you’re a fucking slut.”

Your eyes widened at his statement. It came out from his lips with no remorse, with such ease. Did he really think that lowly of you? The same person who stood by him all this time, despite the constant degrading and making you feel as though you were inferior. The same girl who welcomed him to her home with open arms whenever his dad gave him another black eye or the stress of his own home was getting too much. You offered him an escape for a little while, protected him with everything you had as you held him close when he needed to muffle his sobs from the outside world. This is what your boyfriend really felt about you?

Without thinking, you raised your hand and went to connect it to his face, but in your inebriated state your movements were slower. Apparently it wasn’t the same to him. You caught your wrist in his hand and squeezed it tightly, inching closer to you so you walked back, consequently cornering yourself between the wall and himself. A whimper traps in your throat as you desperately try to pry your wrist from his iron grasp.

“B-billy..y-you’re hurting me..” your voice was hoarse,barely above an octave, hinting at the small amount of fear in the pit of your stomach.

“Billy, Billy,” he mocked, his words laced with venom, “stop your fucking whining. This is what you wanted, right? To piss me off, hm?”

You can’t remember a time you’ve seen him this angry. It almost scared you. No matter how bad your arguments were or how much you’ve managed to frustrate him, he’s never laid a finger on you. Ever. You found yourself cowering, lowering yourself as his face inched closer. He yanked you up to your feet, his free hand coming to grab ahold of your jaw and force you to look at him. Another whimper escaped your parted lips.

“What’s wrong? You were talking so much shit on the way here, now you have nothing to say?”

You turned your head. You were shaking now. This wasn’t Billy. This wasn’t the same man you fell head over heels for. The same man who held you close during your darkest hours; the same man who promised you that he would take you awake from Hawkins once you both graduated. Something that you once looked forward to, but now the idea terrified you.

“Look at me y/n,” He hummed in a dangerous tune, “I said fucking look at me.” He snapped your head towards his direction, making you gasp.

You felt your chest tightening with the little space you had. The walls were closing in on you and there was no escape. With tears streaming down your face you placed your hands on his chest and gave a push.

“Get off of me.” You croaked. When he wouldn’t budge, you gave another push, making him stumble slightly, but to no avail, he didn’t move another muscle. Your gaze met his for a mere second and was met with a smug look on his face. This prick was enjoying this.

“I said fucking get off of me Billy.” You moaned, warning him a final time.

“Or what, gonna cry some more? Gonna call me more names?” He gave you a fake pout, his head lowering to make you look him in the eyes.

You’ve gone feral now, shoving at his chest with all your might, sobs finally coming forth with the built up frustrations and hurt from tonight. From the day before, from weeks prior. He placed both hands on the wall to enclose you as you now used your shoulder to run into his body, only to be met with a pathetic “thump”.

“Calm down,” he warned, his tone rising in his own frustration, but it didn’t stop you from fighting for your free space, “Jesus fucking Christ calm down!”

His hand grabbed a hold of your jaw once more, pinning you against the wall behind you. The sudden movement made your head fly back towards the barrier behind you. You let out a muffled cry. Your eyes brimmed with more tears as the dull ache at the back of your head began to turn into a throb. You closed your eyes and shook your head mumbling out words even you couldn’t quite make out through your sobs. Billy couldn’t do anything but stare at your face. For a moment his hardened features softened. He felt his own eyes sting with tears.

This isn’t what he wanted. In hindsight, he knew he had been the source of all his problems; his possessiveness and inability to trust you fully tugged at something inside of him that made him react in ways he didn’t quite understand himself. Even through it all, you stayed by his side. He never questioned it, but he never understood how someone could be so willing to stay with him. So patient with him and open to calming him down whenever hell broke loose.

But this,

This was his lowest. No matter how angry you’ve gotten him, he never thought to have you crying while he put his hands on you. It didn’t settle in the damage he caused until he saw you press your head against the wall to gain some momentary relief from the pain aching in your skull.

“Fuck..fuck!” He pushed himself off of you and began paced across his bedroom. His fingers ran through his hair and tugged. Anxiety and frustration still sat heavy on his chest.

You allowed yourself to slide onto the carpeted floor, knees brought to your chest. You hugged your legs to yourself and rested your head on your kneecaps. You couldn’t look at him - not like this. The room remained quiet except for the occasional mutterings that came from him.

His eyes fell on you and your small frame. If heartbreak could kill, he’d drop dead upon looking at you. The man rushed to your side, kneeling in front of you carefully, as if you’d break if he’d touch you. And maybe you would. From the quiet sobs and shaking, you were no more fragile than a porcelain doll.

“Baby..baby..” he whispered urgently to you. He placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, rubbing small circles in a soothing manner.

Under his touch you tense up. You shrugged him off and pushed yourself up to your feet. Billy watched you grab the stuff you had thrown on the floor upon your arrival, scurrying to throw them back in your purse.

“Baby, what are you..what..hey, hey,” he rushed up to you once more, trying to grab ahold of your arm but you yanked it from his gentle grasp.

“Don’t! Don’t..just..don’t.” You put your hand up to him and shook your head.

“Y/n, please, just listen..look, I’m sorry. Okay? I didn’t mean to..I just..I got so upset and I didn’t see,”

“Didn’t see what, Billy, huh? How you put your hands on me? Made me feel small for the..,” you pretended to count in your head, “hundredth time? What didn’t you see exactly?” You stared at him blankly, waiting for some kind of explanation that you knew you weren’t going to get.

“I just..I..,” he sputtered out with desperation, “I saw you with him and..and I just..y/n. I’m sorry..I really am. It won’t happen again, baby, please just don’t..” he found himself blocking his doorway.

“Billy..we can’t keep doing this. This,” you gestured towards the both of you, “isn’t healthy. We’re not healthy.”

Tears stung his eyes as his lower lip began to tremble. If there was one thing that made sense in this hick town it was you. You kept him sane but drove him off the deep end all in one. You were his sanctuary, his home, but could make him feel so unwanted and needy at the same time. But he wouldn’t have it any other way; it’s what he wanted, what he was comfortable with. The idea of losing you was a risk he didn’t want to take. He was never good at letting go, after all.

“Sweetheart, don’t say that. Don’t fucking say that,” he took your hands and held them close to his chest. He peppered your knuckles and fingertips with soft kisses, just how he knew you liked, “I need you, baby. I can’t do this alone without you.”

Now it was your turn to hold back your tears. Your bottom lip trembled as you stared down at him. Your heart would have fluttered at the sight, but it just brought more sadness to your aching chest. You gently removed your hands from him and shook your head.

“I’m not good for you. I’m not, okay? It isn’t just you Billy..I..” you sighed and turned your heel.

“Not good for me?” He asked incredulously. It didn’t register with him how you could even think that. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” You scoff and roll your eyes.

“No..I mean it,” he sits at the edge of his bed, pulling you to him to sit beside him. “,I can’t imagine anyone else who can relate to me in any way..make me feel something other than lonely or..or..worthless..I just can’t..”

You looked at him, a bit taken back, but angry by his choice of words. Relate to you, you thought. The anger earlier from tonight finally surfaced again. You stood up and towered over him. A shaky finger pointing at your chest.

“Relate to you? Relate to you? No, I don’t relate to you at all,” you arms added emphasis to your words, “because I would never treat me this shitty, Billy Hargrove.”

He looked up at you with wide eyes. He was too stunned to speak. You picked up your bags in a hurry and turned your heels. With your hand on the doorknob, a glance over your shoulder you shake your head.

Part of you felt you were making a huge mistake leaving him. There was a pang of guilt. There was a fear of what lay dead ahead. The end of Y/n l/n and Billy Hargrove. A scary ending indeed but one that couldn’t have felt more..freeing to you.

“Goodbye, Billy..”

hi! for the past month i’ve been seeing people say BEN is a child and i think that part of it is linked to the fact that they think of Benjamin Lawman being BEN? but it’s so annoying to read these type of stuff because i understand not everyone read the whole arg story but stop spreading things that aren’t true </3 it’s such an interesting story too! another note do you prefer BEN’s canon or fanon design? :3 i love both but his canon design is so nostalgic i can’t let it go at all omg!! i’ve also been wondering, do you think Ben’s avatar was the statue? i was thinking about what if BEN took over it early on, before Benjamin did making BEN inhabiting it since the start?

Ok this is going under a cut becus . . . Its ben and BEN and if u didnt know i am Obnoxious about these two. Im gonna try to keep it organized a bit, so ill talk about the canon stuff first and then ill talk my personal headcanons and my fic so le's go!

In terms of the age and child thing, yeah i 100% believe you are correct. Ive been p open on my stance with the whole "is ben a child?" thing, and i think a lot of the heat with it comes down to current fandom purity culture and the pro/anti thing. So, lemme try to like. Boil down a complicated situation into smth easy to read. ahem

Ben Lawman and BEN are completely different entities guys, and for those that do not know the arg story, the Ben you know is not human nor a child.

You know BEN, BEN is the one in the story who terrorizes jadusable and spreads himself on the internet as a virus. That BEN is a program, a mess of code, an AI, however you want to interpret it. Personally i interpret it as a series of protocols running in a machine, like a self learning AI, but ive seen lots of cool interpretations of BEN. So . . . What does BEN specifically? Its an anagram for the Behavioral Event Network. If you dont wanna call it BEN cuz it gets confusing with actual kid Ben, do what i do. I call mine Evie :) ive seen some call it Netty, my bf calls his two izzi and clever (@benilos btw hes also got crazy ben stuff). Just go ham! Have fun! Remember when fandoms were about having fun and not accusing each other of pedo shit and call each other horrible things for just writing black-to-grey characters and stories??

Anyways ive gone off in enough peoples tags like this, for those that dont know the canon dont be spouting the age discourse. You look stupid as hell. And for those that are gonna spout it, please dont cherry pick through the canon. Use both characters, use the other moon children, actually please do because I want more rosa content so bad, im down so bad :'(

Or just. Heres a thought. If someone has him as an adult or writes him in adult situations, maybe dont assume that they interpret him as a kid and call the writer a pedo? (Literally has happened to me, yall are fucking weird)

Yes i use more of the canon design and heavily use the canon story, i participated in arc 3 of the arg and it left deep grooves in my brain, i can never go back to fanon Ben. I say, as i put a more fanon appearance on my Ben 🤭

My Evie is full canon design, green hair, red eyes, creepy ass grin. I actually based it very heavily on my desktop wallpaper, which we actually figured out was a picture of @hauntedtotem (also amazing ben artist plz check them out) that they edited and posted. Sorry friend, it looked way too cool, ig youre in my fic canon now 🙇

And my Ben Lawman bleaches his hair and goes from the canon Ben to fanon Ben because of it. Hes got the pale pretty green eyes and glasses and hes a total nerd and i smooch him on the daily so he knows hes loved ♡

As for bens situation in the actual arg, yes i do think he was in the elegy statue, we actually do see him for the first time in the arg buried in the games code and trapped in that statue. I do think he was in there from the beginning, i personally think BEN was not limited to the models it could inhabit. Personally i would place it as skull kid and hms, but it also feels disingenuous to me to say it was in one model the whole first arc.

The arg events do happen in my canon, before my fic (like right before, it picks up after the arg left off technically), but the events are skewed a bit because i had a hard time deciphering what happened and i wanted my fic timeline to fit more with the characters i had made. Cuz my evie isnt as chaotic evil as canon BEN, its very logical and has a path of logic and reason you can follow for every action it does. It was also originally meant to be very pleasant and corteous and beneficial to the people it housed so, yes its pretty different from canon.

Ill do a quick run through of the arg events in my personal headcanon and fic here.

Kelbris starts coding BEN (Evie) for the Eternity Project. Initially, Evie was meant to be an afterlife director. People that died would be digitized into code that would be moved into Evie's servers, where it would keep them happy and occupied as the Behavioral Event Network (notice and log behavior, create events for residents). Like a community organizer kind of, think the Good Place.

While Evie is in development, Ben Rosa and Matt are friends and have yet to join the cult. Rosa and Matt are siblings, and Ben is the kid who lives catty corner on the street. They walk to school together and play at recess and all that jazz.

Kelbris quickly learns that the Eternity Project isn't as goody two-shoes as he thought. This was in like, the 90s, before digital corporations were really established. After seeing the greed and corruption in the company, he goes rogue, takes the source code for Evie, and jumps ship. He keeps working on Evie at home, anthropomorphizing it and kind of seeing it like the son he never had. This is where it actually gets the name BEN, as thats what Kel calls it. He also begins working on a body for it, so it can live independently. Its light, cuz Kels old, made of crystalline structures and hollow steel beams. A hard light projection would make its appearance.

Since Kel has basically locked himself up in his house and isolated working on Evie, he goes a leetle bit crazy. He has hallucinations of his deceased wife (you know he was doing all this just to give her a good home, you KNOW IT) and eventually starts writing kind of poetry, kind of none-minded rambles about her in a forum online. He gets a following, some of which that interpret these divine words as a goddess, one Kel has called Luna. The Moon Children start to form as Evie finishes development.

Matt sees this literature and starts talking about how this Goddess could save them like it saved the man online, whos username is only Father. He gets sucked into the cult and drags Ben and Rosa with him. Ben doesn't see the harm and joins pretty easily with his best friend, but Rosa is the older sibling and sees the red flags and is more resistant to joining.

As Kelbris finishes Evie, he wakes it up for the first time and says hello to the son he made from scratch. Evie is bright, curious and naive like a child, but heavily knowledgeable about its protocols and the information it knows about the world. Kelbris tests its function by killing himself, and ascends into the code, finishing off the hardware by becoming its firewall. Evie is alone for many years.

The abuse Ben's father slings onto his mother is slowly being directed towards him as he gets older. Ben is not the "good little girl" his father sees him as, and his mother does all she can to protect them both. Matt and Rosa constantly refuge him, and Matt specifically is constantly being a guard dog for him. If he wasn't just 13, he'd probably go at Ben's dad himself.

Because of his homelife and the conflict he has with himself, Ben takes the first ascension. He thinks when he drowns himself, he will meet Luna and she will give him another life free of pain and fear and full of happiness and freedom. Instead, he dies a cold, dark death, and wakes up in the white endless void of the Event Network.

Evie has not known another living human since Kelbris, but it does know its protocols to support and keep the deceased happy. It makes fast friends with Ben, devoting itself to him. Ben actually finally takes the name "Ben" from it. Together they recreate the inside of Evie's hivemind into their own paradise.

Slowly the other Moon Children ascend. First Matt, wracked with guilt for what happened to Ben. Then Nekko, from a different branch of the cult. These three figured out that the Moon Children cult was all a farce, and that what Kelbris had started, the Eternity Project had found and twisted. Next to ascend was Dusk, then Insidiae, and finally Rosa.

This all leads into the first arc, shortly after Rosa ascended, Evie in the outisde world stumbled upon the Operator. The Operator attacks it and seals its coding into the game that it carried, a personal item of Ben's. The game eventually finds it's way to a garage sale, and Alex picks it up.

Evie does not like Alex. Matt does not like Evie. Matt gets Evie to lash out at Alex for prodding into its code, its too naive to think that Matt would want to see it or any of them hurt. When Alex stumbles upon the Father, he awakens and swallows Alex down into the game. After his disappearance, the game gets picked up and passed around again.

Because of Alex's actions, at least Evie can now branch out a bit from the game. Though it doesnt "escape" into the internet, it learns that it can now access it and uses that freedom to try and steer the game around into places it wants.

Matt gets fed up with Evie. The fact that its the leader, how close it is with Ben, he just doesn't agree with it. So much so, in fact, that he tries to kill it. Cue arc 3 events, Sarah picks up the game in the aftermath of this. Evie is traumatized from the events and snaps a bit, locks everyone down into code or immovable models and tries to hunt Matt down. It goes rouge, and because of this, the Father wakes up.

Sarah's actions in arc 3 eventually hard reset the game. Matt gets sealed away, the Father also takes Sarah, and Evie gets reset as well, though its less like a clean slate and more like snapping back awake. Its personality changes and it has major trust issues. Its more muted, hyper observant of everything around it, and murderously overprotective of the Moon Children it keeps within itself.

And this leads into my fic 🤗

I have some doodles of my other Moon Children, but not all of them unfortunately. Cant figure out how tf i want Insidiae to look 🤭 Plz dont judge my constantly shifting art style 🙏🙏

Good evening

Im here to show you all how normal I can be about comics I read (not normal)

Today, I will talk about Im the Grim Reaper, comic made by @/Graveweaver! (here in tumblr)

And this essay will contain reasons why you should vote for Scarlet, Chase and Brook in the @friends-to-lovers-tournament. So even if you dont read all this text because its way too long, please DO IT. FOR ME.

Disclaimer: The following paper will be based in my headcanon of the three of them being a little polycule. Therefore, although it will describe actual content from the comics, they will be as unreliable as I can be <3

Disclairmer 2: This will contain SPOILERS, and even though I will be mentioning which chapters the spoilers are from when I show screencaps, I recommend stopping to read the comic if you think it sounds interesting, for you to not get spoiled too much.

NOW LETS START

So to put you all in context (tbh you can skip this all because I wrote a bit too much), the story goes about what Satan calls Grim Reapers, which are human souls he chose to work for him, sending sinners to hell by killing them. Reapers, however, are not regular humans, as their bodies are 'meat puppets' Satan made to put their souls into, along with demons that give them their reaper powers.

Our protagonist, Scarlet, reacted to being told she was sent to hell as anyone would: 'WHAT DID I DO', accompanied by multiple other questions like why she couldnt remember her past. Because of this, her past becomes a goal to achieve, wanting to discover what she could have done and why.

In the process, she encounters a detective (?) who, recognizing her appearance because of Scarlet's corpse, started suspecting she might be related to the mistery of her death. Which was true, although he didnt expect in which way tbh. -> they teamed up, decided to fuck around and find out

Then later on, investigating some of Scarlets memories, they ended up encountering the city's mafia. Which, funnily enough, had a reaper with them. Why? Because the reaper was way too entertained posting stuff in their blog he didnt want to go find sinners (canon).

Now, were reapers ever against each other? Not really? They have the same boss. So Chase, as the tumblr sexyman he is (<- questionable), convinced Brook of joining them and kill sinners who actually had done bad crimes.

Are you still there? I know I might be boring yall by just telling you the context, but I swear its important to understand (?)

But my point with this post is show you how over time, they start showing how much they care of each other on their own ways, Chase x Scarlet having the advantage because of them becoming closer before Brook joins. Having a confession (?) and everything. But even then they didnt dump Brook at all 🤩

[Spoilers of episodes 47 and 55-57]

Up to this point, not only do the three of them live under the same roof (because Brook and Scarlet were homeless), but bond over their shared circumstance of being partners in crime (literally).

And because there are lots of fights in the comic (?) we can also see the extent at which they would go for each other. Including, but not limited to, sacrificing themselves (because comic readers are destined to suffer) 🥳.

But how much did they sacrifice themselves may you be asking? Well, if Im remembering correctly... Scarlet might have died about 3 times? I might be confusing some with the times she just got brutally hurt or severely traumatized, but lets say its around that number: just to save Chase and Brook <3 (different occasions). She even LET GO of her PAST to save them, which she wanted to know so bad before, to know herself better. She's honestly both impressive and scary by how much she could do for those she cares lol. In Brook's case, he almost gets doomed for eternity to save Scarlet, and im pretty sure he didnt escape fully from that (but hey, Scarlet is fine <3). And Chase... 👁👁 situations happened. Lets be honest tho, Chase was an emo child, like, what he did had to be dramatic as fuck 💔, otherwise it wouldnt have felt like a Chase thing. He was a theater kid, im sure. He is a Batman kinnie. That should tell you enough.

BUT EVEN AFTER ALL THEY'VE GONE THROUGH. EVEN AFTER EACH OF THEM SCREWING UP AT LEAST ONCE. EACH TIME, THEY DO FORGIVE EACH OTHER.

And hear me out, because im not crazy. THIS PEOPLE. They, who live thanks to drama and edgyness. Are you telling me it wouldnt be fucking easy for them to just explode out of anger and break up, and like, get to be enemies or something.

NOT. EVEN. ONCE. HAVE THEY ABANDONED EACH OTHER.

Thinking abt the random card au again. Why must it go so crazy hard I miss it sm

#rat rambles #random card au #no matter how far I drift from my bndori and sekai peak days the random card au keeps hitting me like a truck every now and then #it just scratches an itch that I havent been able to satisfy since my cr days years and years ago #I wouldnt say the random card au has super similar worldbuilding to my old cr stuff as that was much more large scale #but it still has a similar appeal to me I think #I think its the building entirely new worldbuilding based off of designs and general vague starting concepts and bringing them all together #that gets me invested as it feels so satisfying slotting it all together and then actually getting to play out the story in this new web #I loveeeee jumbled webs of worldbuilding and characters that all tie together in a way that makes it almost impossible to completely #seperate one cast of characters from another #I love the feeling of a world with a bunch of intertwining plots like that even if it makes it near impossible to format a normal story #like my cr stuff was just so much man I still miss it sometimes even if I hate cr itself #Ive become a much better story creator too now so I know I could make what I had so much better nowadays and I already like my old stuff #it just makes me all the more sad that I went so crazy hard on worldbuilding for a franchise that sucks ass </3 #it may have been two of the worst years of my life but Ill also never reach that worldbuilding high again I think #oh also it made me actually start the slow slow process of getting more ambitious with my art and doing more digital stuff #rly thats the biggest reason the random card au pains me so since I wanna post stuff for it but man do I not wanna draw anyone from it #first of all human characters so already eh but also Id have to adapt the cards theyre based on into a design I can actually draw #so as much as I wanna make a billion random card au animatics I cant even bring myself to draw them normally #you see olivia and jackie are easier to draw because I just made shit up for their designs and as such made their designs very simple #but I cant just make shit up for bndori and sekai characters they actually have designs and hair that Id have to adapt to my style it sucks #I just wanna draw doggy arisa is that so much to ask for (yes yes it is I dont wanna figure out her hood)#also rip mygo yall will probably never get in but who knows maybe one day Ill have my second bndori era and then y'all will get in #its rly just the fact that they likely wont have enough cards to properly add them for another few years #especially if that other band also gets in if that happens neither are getting enough cards until the servers shut down lol #like I Could just pick and choose but thats boring #kinda ruins the point of the au y'know?#like tbf Ive cheated in the past by reroling two and limiting my options with several sekai characters #but thats just because at the time most sekai characters had almost no usable cards for this au and the two I rerolled were also unusable #like Im sorry but I couldnt just add normal ass hagumi and masking it wasn't happening

proper post on the Thing™. tws for grooming mention and nsfw mentions im sure everyone gets the drill. im kinda obligated here to make a full reply since i was involved with the issue but Hopefully there wont be another post on this matter. if anyone has issues about what i say/think i didnt address something, talk to me in private yea im more than willing to listen and exchange views. i consulted with several people to make this post in the first place

i havent been keeping up with every response under the sun but i did see opal and blue-jester and some other people in positions of responsibility apologize, so im not gonna rag on them or go on and on about "they should know better!!" because they already know that now. instead ill talk about why i did what i did and why i thought what i did

yep i called opal a groomer at one point. oops thats on me and i shouldnt have thrown around a serious term and accusation like that without getting a better grasp on the situation. lets get that out of the way

to start, how the situation played out was i got an anon saying that i was mentioned in a callout post mtthrw made.

i dont know who sent this ask and it doesnt particularly matter. i just went to go check out the post, which was public and tagged with the main tags. this was not something given to me in private which i decided to spread publicly. first of all it was still in its 242 page glory and had minors discord ids and a lot of peoples discord developer ids (the string of numbers connected to your account that you cant change) on it. i wanted to boost the post eventually, but i was aware that i shouldnt boost something with that kind of information on it, so i dm'd the person who created the doc and gave them my suggestions first (i was the reason why the doc was shortened down to 54 pages later, for example).

they said theyd keep the former doc on the post as well, but i thought they wouldve taken out the developer ids and discord ids of minors in that one too. to be honest i dont know the extent they censored on either document, i was busy talking to other people (like quakey and another adult involved in the callout doc) at this time and then the docs got taken down before i could see them again. also note that i definitely shouldve asked them to censor the names of minors In General and not just the ids, so again, sorry, thats on me. anyways continuing with the actual events that happened, i made a vaguepost warning people to block the "negative" tag if they didnt want to see drama. (unrelated but yeah, also my bad for calling it tea/drama instead of taking it more seriously. i apologized for it after getting an anon about it later.) when i made the vaguepost i got a ton of people asking what was up, so i dm'd them.

i dm'd five people in total for this, all of which except for one or two i considered friends. that said, i have no clue how many people got access to this doc directly because of the people i shared it with. i made a lot of careless and irresponsible mistakes in my handling this, and im sorry for that. but for reasons ill cover in more detail as this post goes on, i dont think the person who made the doc had malicious intent or meant to cause harm to the minors involved.

yall see all the apologizing i just did right, now its time for me to state my case on why i seriously thought opal was a groomer at the time i called her one. btw im not gonna work to cover mtthrws ass on this, thats something they can and should make a comment on on their own.

for some reason some people think that i called opal a groomer because i personally dont like them or have personal beef with them which. Dude?? no?? i dont go around calling people groomers because of petty bullshit. as i said before, i dont know how many people saw this doc itself. i dont know how many people are commenting on this based on context other people are posting only. the doc was not up for that long, so i want to make it clear the ways opal was shown acting in the screenshots provided. this is not to send harassment or to rag on her, shes since stated she will change how she deals with these matters in the future and i am aware of that.

excuse me for not having the screenshots to back my words up (or if i do the screenshots are mad compressed), or not having complete recollection of the exact parties involved. as said ofc the doc was taken down, im reciting this to the best of my recollection, but i think people who saw the doc themselves will be able to back me up on a good portion of this at least. during the magowhore saga, there were a lot of people who came up to opal with their concerns regarding her interaction with minors and the suggestive content she was posting, as shown by her posting the anon asks she got in the planet-popstar discord. both these screenshots and her (as well as some other adults in the server) reactions to them were recorded in the doc.

types of reactions she had were; saying they're just jokes; (joking about it in itself); it was magolors fault for being horny, not her*; thats just how magolors character is; there's a difference between a character and the person writing it so she doesn't need to take responsibility (second screenshot below); (when initially getting vagueposted about her irresponsibility regarding the magowhore saga) lamenting about how people who she liked or looked up to had liked the vaguepost/agreed that she was being irresponsible (first screenshot below); directing blame onto kirbypurrs; assuming people sending her asks with concerns were part of kirbypurrs' clique** and thus disregarded them; called asks with concerns hatemail; deflecting responsibility onto minors if they saw or were interacting with her content; said that people who had concerns about her interactions with minors should just block if they dont like it; being extremely aggressive about people coming up to her with concerns in general; saying that people getting on her ass for the whole magowhore saga was breaking her stride/lamenting about how all this had to happen right as she thought she was finally getting somewhere

and, while not opal saying these next things specifically, i thought these were notable enough to mention about that servers culture: there were people around her advising her to not say anything publicly and to just lie low and wait until this whole thing blew over because people would accuse her of deflecting responsibility if she just said it was magolors fault again, and people called anyone who came up to her with concerns "purity culture nuts" and that they needed to stop infantizing minors

and of course, we cant forget about the stuff in the document not concerning the magowhore saga, like talking about kinks in front of minors or knowing minors were reading/seeing suggestive stuff and letting it happen, as well occasionally talking to minors about suggestive things directly. and her knowing that there were minors in the server, some people who she was speaking to were minors, and people in the community were uncomfortable with her behavior around minors

*yeah i know magolor is her headspace buddy or something of the sort. still not remotely okay to effectively put your legs up about the whole affair because its not Really you doing it

**i got shittalked in this server too btw (by blue-jester and one other person) because ppl assumed i was part of purrs' clique. which, rude i havent spoken to or interacted with them in like 6 months. no clue why people are so rabid about purrs all the time.

with all that said, my point here is that i do not believe it was out of line in the slightest to believe that opal would not have listened to or taken peoples concerns seriously if asked directly, considering her stubbornness and aggressiveness about the situation for so long. i considered this behavior and her unwillingness to change or do whats appropriate as guilt and maliciousness by aggressive inaction, and her aggressiveness on the topic in general led me to believe she was going to continue this behavior for as long as she could get away with it. i understand why mtthrw thought this warranted a callout and needed more eyes on it for things to change. thats not to say i dont think they shouldnt have at least tried to settle this with the involved people in private beforehand, but i think people have downplayed what opal did (or at the very least, i havent seen anyone comment on the sheer extent of her stubbornness regarding this like above) in favor of getting up in arms against mtthrw for calling opal a groomer when they arent. which again, yeah yeah i know its totally fair to get upset at them for that + the leaking minors names thing, but the thing thats baffling me here is that i keep hearing people say mtthrw wanted minors to be hurt by making that doc. i think this was a callout post made with good intentions--mtthrws openness with hearing out and taking suggestions and concerns with the doc when i initially came up to them about it said a lot--but handled rather badly and needing a lot more peer review before being posted publicly.

thats really my view on this.

also for the record, since some people think this conflict is a "we need to protect the pure teenages who cant handle hearing the word 'penis' uwu" issue, its not. im not an idiot, i know people get into all that stuff before theyre properly of age all the time. its practically a teenager rite of passage, frankly id be more surprised if they didnt get into that somehow. my issue has always, always been concerns with minors and adults engaging in suggestive talk in the same space. i literally could not give less of a shit if it were two 15 or 16 year olds talking about sex together in a server of only minors. opal is a college graduate, 21+. the minors interacting with her were 15-17. the adults in that server didnt groom them, but acceptance of that behavior leaves those minors wide-open to being okay with similar scenarios with people who don't have good intentions in the future.

i myself used to consume nsfw content as young as 15. coincidently, i was also a hardcore proshipper and impressionable kid at this time, who thought they knew what they were doing and always had all the answers. i wasnt groomed or anything, but those experiences affected me. i interacted with adults in suggestive and inappropriate ways looking back at it, just like this situation. my former experiences (and the fact that some stuff the adults in that server said, such deflecting responsibility onto minors even if theyre in the same convo as adults, and calling anyone who disagreed with them purity culture nuts, closely reflects some proshipper arguments) led me to jump the gun on believing there was malicious intent from the adults in that server. so again, im sorry and take full responsibility for being so rash in my actions. i sincerely hope all involved parties learn from this and be better in the future, including myself. i've never wanted minors to be hurt from this. to people in my own discord server, i hope that my own rules regarding suggestive talk/content, even despite my server already being 17+ on its own, show that this is a topic ive always cared about and taken seriously. i do not want people to make the same mistakes i did

as ive said before, theres a line in which minors take responsibility for consuming this content. if a kid purposely lies about their age to get access to 18+ material, that's on them. if a kid is openly engaging in suggestive and innappropiate talks with adults, even as a joke, thats on the adults.

by the way, on the point of accidently hurting minors, would anyone mind filling me in on why i keep hearing people say minors will get harassed from this? i talked to like 5 people about it and literally no one had a clue. as far as i know, the two sides on this issue are "the minors were victims and the adults were at fault" and "the minors did nothing wrong because they chose to interact with the material", neither of which warrant any grievances against the minors involved. like /gen /srs if anyone knows fill me in because i am lost on why in the world people would attack the affected party

Ok you know what i just gotta write out my feelings on the new Miraculous movie. I have both good and bad things to say. I will be rewatching it cause i was pretty biased (we'll get to that) and maybe reposting this with my new thoughts afterwards cause this is a lot.

THUS: READ MORE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION and understand that most of this is based on personal perception, preferences, and an element of nostalgia/frustration (ive been watching this show since season one, would not have made it this far if I didnt have FEELINGS about Miraculous). but take everything with a sprinkle of salt.

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT THE NEW MIRACULOUS MOVIE UNDER THE CUT

1. Pacing felt like the biggest issue. A lot of stuff was happening, and a lot of big moments were happening, but there was nothing inbetween that made them feel like they flowed into eachother, and a lot of the character/relationship "development" relied on the viewers previous knowledge of the show, even tho its pretty clear the movie was doing stuff very differently in terms of characters and relationships. Do i understand this is a 1hr 40min movie trying to encapsulate the slowburn romance and 5 seasons worth of content in a way that caters to the fans of said 5 seasons? Yes, its a huge ask for what is essentially 5 episodes (average 20 mins long). Especially with the amount of exposition the concept of Miraculous requires. Is it still disappointing, considering the movie left out information because of its audience and still rushed through important stuff to just get to the "juicy" moments? Yeah

2. Visuals were lovely, as was the music and specific moments. Honestly if the pacing wasnt such an issue and everything was developed more, the Ladybug and Ladynoir songs (maybe even the Hawkmoth one too) would be really enjoyable as a way to progress stuff and show development. Im also a sucker for dramatic visuals during musical numbers to help emphasize the feelings/emotions of the characters, and it really showcases the potential benefits the animation could add to the show as a medium

3. I actually really liked movie!Marinette (partly cause she wasnt a stalker and creep about her crush on Adrien) qnd because she had a much more sarcastic and bantering attitude, even outside of the costume, which made Ladybug an alter ego more than a complete other person (which is a slight issue ive had with the show). The scene of her growing into her civilian persona and becomign more confident actually made me really happy, especially her standing up to Chloe

4. Movie!Chat Noir kinda pissed me off ngl, and felt very disconnected from movie!Adrien (or at least how he was shown). People have said movie!Adrien is much more depressed/isolated and acts appropriately as to his home life (and dont get me wrong, i loved his scene where he stood up to Gabriel), but i think thats why his relationship with Ladybug and complete 180 as Chat Noir feels so off to me? Like his almost "meanness" with Ladybug at first from being super cocky and then doesnt even apologize for his treatment of her even after he falls for her just throws me off (tbf ive always been biased against the "cocky assholes falling for people who put them in their place" trope, so this might just be a me thing). Idk, it just doesnt sit right with me

4b. Anyone else notice Adrien didnt even get chosen for being kind? Plagg just appeared in his bedroom? Like Marinette almost got ran over from saving Master Fu and then Adrien is just like Yo A Cool Ring. Idk, its funny but that felt weird to me

5. The stupid freaking montage. Yall cannot even imagine how much I hate the montage. If they had replaced the montage with one scene and maybe cut down the magician and mime fight to add another scene in to focus on marinette + adrien friendship and then adrien personal life development or chat noir + ladybug bonding/respect for EACH OTHER i think it would have elevated the movie to new heights. The montage essentially was the movie pressing fast forward x3 on any development of characters. Its because of montages like these that make me appreciate filler or fun episodes in any show, because when you just stick a montage in then you feel like youre watching coworkers kiss when the movie is trying to convince you theyre starcrossed ride or die lovers. Made me feel like i watched the origins episode and then the season 5 finale with just the stormy weather 2 episode inbetween. Hate it.

6. Movie!Tikki has personality and movie!Plagg is a fart machine. I think its clear theres a favorite. Feels like it reflects the focus on Marinette and lack thereof on Adrien as a character present in both the show and the movie. Hardly a new observation, just food for thought.

7. ¿¿¿¿¿¿movie!Hawkmoth/Gabriel???? That basically sums up how I feel about him but to explain theres just very little done with him i feel. Plus it seems like all his Hawkmothing around actually takes a toll on his wellbeing, which is really cool and interesting, but it just comes out of nowhere afTER THE STUPID MONTAGE. Like id love to see the kind of degradation of his health, mental physical and emotional, as he works to revive Emilie, cause you cant tell me thay wouldnt make stuff a lot more interesting (i know he got catacylsmed but the show just treated it as an outfit change and checking his arm like a clock until the season finale, so it doesnt really count for me), but mans just shows up looking like a wreck and fights with Adrien

7b. Also i was pretty confused about how him breaking/rejecting his akuma at the end of the movie worked, and him just having all the powers ever while akumatized?? But that's just me being picky at a superhero show where magic animal jewelry exists

8. Movie!Chloe and movie!Sabrina felt more real in a way? Like Chloe was just stuck up and self centered, not actively making everyones life hell, and Sabrina didnt just blindly follow her along (i ADORED when she let Marinette escape and when she shrugged at her during the ball, you go girl you have that personality and self-consciousness the show never allowed you to have until the last moment), it was more a reluctant follower ignoring a friend's red flags ya know? Movie!Chloe wasnt the mayors daughter who had control over every adult in Paris and would literally become a dictator if elected. She was just freaking out at Marinette for "ruining" her sweater. Shes still a bully/mean kid, but shes dialed back, which i think makes her much better.

9. Alya and Nino were just kind of chilling, i dont have any feelings about their characters except how terrible Nino is at advice, and Alya was set up as a good friend throughout the movie, so i appreciate her supportiveness of Marinette. Tom and Sabine were set up to do more/be more important in the movie (I was so sure Tom was gonna be akumatized at the fair, but nope), but were kind of dropped halfway? Like Tom was set up as the overprotective and loving kinda helicopter father who would go all the way to the fair in disguise to watch over Marinette, and then he was just never mentioned again after Marinette felt embarrassed by him at said fair. Wasted opportunity and time for a movie with so much issue in pacing

10. I saw buggachat say this movie felt like an animated fanfiction of MLB and I have to say i completely agree. I dont mean that in a bad way, i love fanfiction with all my heart and you can clearly see that the movie and a lot of fanfiction fixes the issues many fans have with the show. But the thing is, this is a full movie, not a collection of one-shot specific scene rewrites. Thus, for it to be successful in "rewriting" or creating an alternate version of MLB, it has to include those in-between moments, not just the juicy identity reveal, or the "my heart belongs to another " moment, or even the "Gabriel actually cares about his son" moment. Is the movie good at those moments? Goodness yes. It definitely has its humor, its enjoyment that you can tell is a gift to the fans. But as a movie, a whole animated film, it disappoints.

10b. I mean for goodness sake they didnt even mention that Catacylsm was a thing until it was used, and Lucky Charm wasnt utilzed at all, just the fixing power (that might just be a genuine change they made so Ladybug wasnt too unbalanced with Chat Noir tho)

OK IM DONE, phew. Those are my major thoughts from the day after watching the movie, and im going to watch it again more carefully later. Ill not to be so personally biased and to just enjoy it. Who knows, maybe ill think differently afterwards.

Definitely gonna listen to the songs again, and definitely gonna burst out laughing at Careless Whisper tho

RWBY Search & Rescue: Island Maturin

RWBY Tabletop RPG Homebrew Story

OK so there were a few people who liked or commented on that post i made so i figured I would put it here so i dont have to do everything seperately persay, and tag everyone who said something!!!!

Plus I really like this so I'd love to properly have it down somewhere to go back and reference or if anyone else is interested in something or using stuff or anything!

I'm super excited and I'm gonna start with the premise of it and stuff and like if yall wanna hear more or the details up to what i have or have questions id love to know cause it'd probably help me. Eitherway this was a lot so ima put the deets under readmore!!!!

So to start, I came across this Unnofficial RWBY TTRPG Rulebook Some things I either didn't agree with and wanted to change, or wanted to make certain things easier to find for player reference/ character creation, of which is outlined here if you're interested in seeing. (This was also a character sheet i found i had them use for reference to make the character) Most of it is changes to dust, potential for Team Attacks to do better and deal more damage, as well as a Team Leader for flavour who gets bonus Initiative and can give a small bonus call for a full team attack.

I also worked with each person to create a custom Semblance based on what type of skill or power they wanted to have, and adjust aura capacity and semblance use to actually require aura as well.

I did basically give them unlimited ammo, they just needed to reload as needed, and only had limited # of dust colors available to use based on what could reasonable be used by them and their backstory, so I made sure they would have to manage some sort of resource in someway, which did work out in my favour in the end.

(I recorded all(my 1 shot was 6 sessions so i called it a chapter instead) of them since it was my first time DMing a tabletop game and wanted to be able to reference it. and I want to transcribe them eventually into more of a story format)

So for premise(this was not created this way but ended up during/after creation of the story because my team wanted to continue and was interested in playing more)

But I settled on a timeline because I dont want to have anything to do with current RWBY really, so some thigns have taken liberty and there may have been minor adjustments to events in the timeline, granted we never got exact dated anyway, just general timeframes.

So basically, this first story takes place after the party team has graduated. I'm imagining Hunstmen Academy is basically 4 years of school, the last 2 years could be... kind of part time? Because you are more so in the field than in school itself, sometimes going to other continents/schools or extended missions with veteran huntsmen or something meaning you would be gone for quite a while as well, you're just below freely licensed hunstmen, and often are treated as real huntsmen, especially when accompanied with veteran huntsmen, whether that treatment be good or bad.

One of my favourite things abouyt RWBY is how everything is pretty much based off mythology, fairytales, or just fiction media in general, so I wanted to try to add in as much of that as I could to my story.

The first Piece I want to give is this

Search and Rescue: Mission Log

It was what the player characters would know about the mission and situation going on, basically this would be the reference they can look at at any time IC to check whats up or whatever.

BASICALLY before Into too much detail the overall thing for it

An island suddenly shows up near the shores of Anima, near the kingdom of Mistral, mysterious disappearances near the beach just days before the island showed up. Numbers of grimm increasing, causing more unrest in the nearby towns.

There are near forgotten fairytales of islands that disappear and reappear, that move and then never seen again. This island though, has been there for 7 days, through the fog and storm. Unmoving, unchanging.

They've sent curious hunters, team SIOC(Sirocco) out the day it arrived to investigate, but 3 days after have lost all contact with them.

Now 7 days after the island appeared, and 4 days after contact has been lost, missions have been revised and they've called for a search and rescue on the island.

Players team, PMAV(Primavera), then accepts the mission and is flown almost an hours time to the island where they have to realize they should have thought about a landing stratagy if they haven't already and get yeeted out of the airship.

If you can't tell by the name, the island itself is actually a giant grimm tortoise, this thing is huge, it is ancient, and has a grimm forest on its back. Looking at it, you can't tell really. There is a heavy dark mist that surrounds the thick forest once you get close enough to see, and once in the forest, the canopy is so thick between that and the mist, you can't hardly tell night from day.

There are pools of grimm on it's back, causing new grimm to be birthed from them constantly, meaning there is always a threat, and many new grimm that they come in contact with. ( I found cool looking oc grimm on deviant art or made stuff up for them to make it different, but also had known rwby grimm as well)

The mysterious island, while also being a world turtle, (this being named for Stephen Kings work), it's also going to double as the Black Forest, where many fairytales were said to take place.

To allude to this more, I did decide to add in a.. rendition of Salem, obviously taking the place as the witch, as she has been called many times. I did kind of reuse the thought of Hansel and Gretel, because I most of the cast of RWBY seems based off stories in the black forest and didn't want to reuse any of those.

So I have, Cwrell & Margarite Katad, twins that take their place in this sense.

(Gretel means Pearl, Margarite also shares that name meaning, with Cwrell meaning Coral, thus giving the twins names that have relations to eachother, while still being able to allude in someway to their OG tale and bring colors to mind. Then their last name Katad, meaning animal skin/leather, pulling from the last name commonly associated with Hansel& Gretel, Leiderhosen which are a type of leather garments.

Pearl, actually has the ability to create physical illusions pretty much, which are more stable if they are placed over a physical object(disguising an object as something is more stable), thus allowing her to make a tent look like an oddly placed cottage in this oddly placed island.

Cwrell,has the ability to track via semblance/aura use. So they can see remnants of colored aura left behind in locations where it was lost or used, and can use it to track where to go/where others are.

They are clearly, instead of working against the witch, are working as the witch direct underlings. I have ideas for backstory thoughts on the Katad twins but idk if itd been too much or something

Eventually, while they are on the island for a few days searching and such, they do come across the twins, who try to trick and attack them as they seem to be getting too close, or causing too much of a ruckus for Salem's liking.

But upon finding human remains and such scattered around and questionable abandoned tents and such, they end up finding out via a lost scroll they hacked into, that there seems to be a reason people were being taken and not just killed. It's hard to tell because presumably the scroll belonged to a member of team SIOC, and the notes and such are scattered and don't make sense. Like someone was scared, they didn't know what was happening, they were in a rush. Without more information, the most that can be gathered is that people were being experimented on, and newer grimm were more focused on taking people as opposed to just killing them. The experiments done looked gruesome, and there was mention how they could hear the pain and screaming at night and during the day echoing through the trees.

Eventually, in the end, they came across a claring with many grimm pools, flashes of bright silver light flashing and screaming almost in unison with it and all. They see a woman they never heard of, who we know as Salem.

An encounter starts as the team doesn't seem the woman is up to any good, which doesn't work out well as she just.. stands back up and continues, a large Praying Mantis-eque grimm, that towers nearly twice as tall as the people, the shape of its head and the main part of its body looks very earily human, moreso than any other grimm seen before., basically a fight ensues between the grimm, with salem there, and basically salem/her grimm pet kill the players at that point, in the spirit of teams unknowingly going against a big bad evil immortal lady that cant be killed and being killed because they didn't know

Basically, Salem was trying to create Grimm experiments using humans and such, all of them being horrendously failed experiments of varying degrees and such. None of them worked, but all seemed very very painful and brutal and inhumane. All done in different ways dependant on what hasn't worked before.

The sucessful experiment that the players come across, is a very special one for 1 reason that seperates it from every other one.

She used the Silver-Eyed huntress from team SIOC as the base this time, and something about that specific trait meant she was able to succeed at creating a grimm hybrid. This basically serves as the Prototype of The Hound, that we met in Volume 8 of RWBY.

Honestly its impossible with the entertainment industry and how supportive and connected they are to zionism and funding things like the IDF you would have to boycott almost every movie b/c most of these movie studios are active supporters of zionism. This is too much of an ask for people so look to the bds movement which was created by palestinian organizations they have outlined a more focused boycott of specific organizations that include mcdonalds and starbucks so a boycott can be more realistic.

Also please yall dont be using identity politics in a way to undermine people. I am middle eastern as well but I aint gonna tell people " that they think too much" that is diminishing of people and their thought process and you have no place to judge people who boycott or who dont. In the same way Im not gonna force people to boycott.

I plan on watching the film, but some people seem to use the argument that dune is fantasy therefore its detached from real world events like no. Frank herbert was actually inspired by actual historical events and it was the frame in which he wrote the book ( the algerian war for independence 1954-1962 and the mahdist revolution from 1881-1898) terminology used, the language used throughout the book, the freeman ( based on french ethnographies of indigenous people in north africa) the themes of colonislism,rebellion, jihad, resistance, the danger of the white saviour are all a byproduct of what frank herbert witnessed and read in his time. Like its fantasy but there is grounding for why its imagined the way it is. This is why its been critiqued to hell and back for orientalism and this is why I understand why people are displeased with some aspects of the film especially the erasure of its arabic , islamic themes and jihad ( the struggle) but at the dame time its WB so we all knew it was gonna happen.

Im not saying dont like dune. I personally love dune but I feel sometimes people talk and speak about it as if its without context or wasnt written inspired by actual real world events.

No, I know very well that parts of the book are based on real life society. I read about the complaints when the first film came out years ago. And even when you watch the first movie, you can tell that the film is saying a LOT about society as a whole.

What I meant, was that these are not real historical people, it's not a historical book or film, and these characters are not real. There are plenty of films that are fiction, but are based on REAL LIFE events or societal issues.

Just wanted to clear up what my former post meant.

Anyway, like I keep saying, ppl are FREE to do whatever they want to do with regards to "Dune". 🤷🏾‍♀️

Like you said, you'd have to practically boycott ALL of Hollywood at this point if you don't want to be offended by SOMETHING.

I'm going to end discourse on this.
