I’ve been meaning to write this article for a while.

For those that have followed me on here or on YouTube since the beginning, you’ll know I get extremely frustrated with the lack of diversity in YA fan art - be it something as simple as drawing the same button nose on every character, to something as extremely harmful as whitewashing POC protagonists.

I know deep down that not every artist and reader does this, but there needs to be more awareness of these issues - I hope this article brings them to the forefront.
