adhdgirl swag so off the charts that an ex-professor emailed me after seeing a play i was in to tell me he didn’t realize i was physically capable of shutting up for that long & that watching me be quiet for an extended period of time felt like an out of body experience

ive always wondered does casinoroyale stim?

certain casinoroyale behaviors can definitely be interpreted as stimming (or him having adhd to some degree) especially like with his wings twitching and flapping, chewing on random shit, always needing to be doing something/having something in his hands (he still has that one fidget cube songbird-sunrise gave him mid mental breakdown), and especially skin picking and feather plucking. that's something he does when anxious to soothe himself. adhd isn't something i really think about casinoroyale having when i write him (vs PTSD and psychosis, which i do lean more into) if that makes sense. same with bpd, like you can definitely interpret casinoroyale as borderline but that's not something i think about when i write him. Fidgeting

When I open my textbooks to study, or flip through written notes, I always find a tonne of hair sandwiched between the pages. You can track how difficult a topic was to focus on by the quantity of hair in that chapter. My mother complains that she made sure to get a non-shedding dog to avoid the hair and then ended up with a shedding daughter!

Anyway, the point of this is not just that I have a lot of hair, but that I'm a massive fidgeter. I run my hands through my hair, I bite my nails - i literally didn't have to cut them once in several years because i kept them short with my teeth - I destroy pens with my nibbling, I bite holes in my clothes. What I really need is a dog toy lol.

These behaviours have always got me in a lot of trouble. But of course I'd never have been allowed a stim toy in my lower years of school because it's a "nuisance" and "distracts others" and I "shouldn't be playing in lessons" etc etc.

Amazingly, when I can let the chaotic part of my brain focus on clicking a button, the rest of it can get on with focussing. And also I dont get splinters in my gums any more from pencils so it's a win win lol.
