Ahhh hello hello lovely!! This made me incredibly happy ahaha, to put it quite simply:

The turtles + April don't actually know that much about her old life, they know most of the details about the war and such, but not everything 👀 Ive planned a lot for this series tbh, and uncovering her backstory is just the tip of the iceburg 🙌🏻

so like they know how she met the gaang, meeting toph, fightin a LOT, meeting zuko! , just like,,, a lot of fighting

like, a lot

bc like lets be real atla is 70% fights and 100% aang gushing over katara

What they don't know is mostly stuff like Hama(bc trauma!!), but dw itll come up in later parts)

what they went through in the serpent's pass, fortune teller episode + when they first met Jet to name a few.

for one night standards would you write a scene where aelin cant be found in the castle maybe bc shes doing sth ridiculous with her daughter like a mother daughter photoshoot to surprise rowan with later but when rowan can't find her he gets all panicked and out of his mind bc he still has unresolved trauma from when she was kidnapped and its all angsty until he has both back in his arms but also gives rowan a chance to talk and work through his experience with aelin gone? (because lets face it he probably ignores his feelings about that as much as possible in order to not burden aelin further and because it was just too painful)

Rowan Whitethorn was generally a patient man.

He knew how to wait his turn, to take his time. He was always one to raise a brow at those who seemed to be in a harried rush to everything. It seemed stressful, to say the least. He was perfectly content to sit back when needed.

Except for now.

He had made a trip back home to Doranelle to surprise Isolde for her graduation from her masters program. Aelin had wanted to come as well, but with the baby and the responsibilities she had back in Orynth, it just hadn’t worked out. Still, she sent her well-wishes to Isolde through a video chat, letting little Eliora babble into the camera and say hello as well.

Their daughter was just over six months now, already growing far too fast for Rowan’s liking. He treasured every moment he got to spend with his two favorite girls.

And although he was always happy to see his family back in Doranelle, it had been the longest he had been away since Eliora had been born. It made him highly impatient to return home.

His jet touched down in Terrasen in the early afternoon. It was summer, though the day was mild. The sky was a vivid blue, fat white clouds floating lethargically on the breeze. Absolutely beautiful.

Due to the time difference, he hadn’t been able to call Aelin before he had got on the plane. He tried to reach her as he slid into the dark sedan that would drive him from the airport to the palace, but all he got was her voicemail.

Maybe she was in the shower, or changing Eliora’s diaper. Maybe their daughter had a finicky night of sleeping and now the pair were trying to catch up on their slumber. It was fine. Or so Rowan told himself. He still hadn’t been able to stop the small clench of nerves at the pit of his stomach.

He scolded those foolish feelings. Of course his wife and daughter were safe. They were just waiting for him to return.

The drive was quick and easy and he was back at the palace before he knew it. His feet carried him towards the room he shared with Aelin, a small smile curling on his lips as he thought about having his wife and daughter in his arms once more. He missed the feeling of Aelin curled against him as they slept.

“Aelin?” he called, pushing into their room and nudging the door shut behind him. “I’m home.”

He was greeted by nothing but silence. No sound of running water in the bathroom to suggest a shower, so soft snores or shifting sheets meaning a nap. He strode into the bedroom, finding that the bed was already neatly made, not a thread out of place.

He dropped his bags by the dresser, noting that Aelin’s phone had been left there, face up. He picked it up, seeing that she still had the notification of a missed call from him and a few miscellaneous emails that hadn’t been checked.

“Aelin?” he said again, moving towards the nursery. He had gotten used to the sight of Aelin sitting in the rocking chair with Eliora, either when the babe was hungry or she just wanted to hold her daughter. Rowan had countless pictures on his phone of the two of them in that position. The sunlight streamed from the window and hit them just right in the mornings, making them look like a painting.

But the nursery was empty and the window was shut.

Those nerves reared their ugly heads once more. He had no reason to assume the worst, the palace was one of the safest places in the kingdom.

But… Aelin had once been snatched away from him on palace grounds. During their own wedding.

Rowan shook himself. No. That was the past. This was now.

Since his wife didn’t have her phone, he knew it would be fruitless to try and contact her that way. But, Rowan knew Aelin better than he knew himself.

He began a sweep of the palace, checking out her favorite haunts. The library was a bust, so was the gym. He had checked the kitchens to see if she had swooped in for a snack or something sweet, but she wasn’t there either. Rowan luckily ran into Aedion, asking the prince if he knew where Aelin was. But her cousin hadn’t seen her at all that morning.

With each failed attempt at finding them, Rowan’s fears steadily crept up. It wouldn’t be much longer before they had wrapped themselves around his throat and pulled him deep into their depths.

He took a long breath to center himself before striding out into the gardens. His heart started beating faster, not seeing any sign of her at first. Rowan’s fingers curled into tight fists as he stepped over fresh, green grass. Gods, where were they? If something had happened to them…

But before Rowan’s fears could conquer him, he heard a soft voice on the summer breeze. A familiar voice at that. Relief washed through him, heavenly and soothing, as he followed that melodic sound.

It was Aelin. It didn’t take him long to realize that she was reading one of Eliora’s favorite books to her. It was a silly tale, and it was made even more vivid when Aelin told it. She was an excellent story-teller. They didn’t know how much Eliora really understood, whether she just liked the brightly colored pictures or the faces her mother would make when she told it. Regardless, it always made the little princess smile.

Rowan rounded a hedge, a warmth spreading through his chest at the sight before him.

Aelin had spread out a large quilt under the shade of a willow. Some of Eliora’s toys were scattered about, but currently, the toddler sat in her mother’s lap, wide-eyes glued on the book before her.

Rowan couldn’t help but think Aelin looked stunning today. Her golden hair was left loose, swaying on the breeze, the summer sun bringing a healthy flush to her cheeks. She wore a silky, pale blue wrap-dress, bare feet tucked beneath her as she read. Eliora looked mighty charming too in a bright pink dress with a matching bow.

Rowan strolled towards them, Aelin’s eyes jumping towards him as she noticed his presence. A huge smile broke out on her stunning face.

“You’re home!” she greeted, putting the book she had been reading aloud down. Eliora, no longer entertained by her mother’s storytelling, crawled over the quilt to grab one of her brightly colored toys. “I thought you were going to call me when you landed?”

“I did, Fireheart,” Rowan said. He lowered herself behind Aelin on the blanket, his wife situated between his legs, before wrapping his arms tightly around her and tugging her back into his chest securely. “You left your phone in our room.”

Rowan placed a lingering kiss on Aelin's shoulder, breathing in her scent deeply. She was safe, in his arms, Eliora happy as can be, sticking her toys in her mouth. Everything was fine.

Aelin turned in his arms slightly, brows knitted slightly. Rowan knew she could see right through him.

“What is it, Ro?”

“It’s nothing, love.”

Aelin narrowed her eyes at him, as if to say, Don’t you lie to me, Buzzard.

Rowan heaved a sigh, reaching out and brushing some of Aelin’s silky hair behind her ear. “It’s just… you didn’t answer me when I called, and I couldn’t find you and Eliora when I got back. I just couldn’t help but think…” His hand drifted until it rested on Aelin’s abdomen, right over the scar she bore from fighting her way to freedom. He saw understanding on his wife’s face.

“We’re here, Rowan. We’re safe.” She placed a gentle hand on Rowan’s cheek, bringing his gaze towards her.

“I know,” Rowan whispered, jaw clenched. “But sometimes, I just worry that when I open my eyes, this will all turn out to be a dream. And I’ll lose you all over again.”

Aelin took his hand, giving it a firm squeeze. “This is real, Rowan. We both fought for this life, for each other. And nothing, nothing, is going to take it away. Ever.”

Rowan saw the determination blazing in Aelin’s eyes. She was right, of course. This was their life now, they had built their happiness bit by bit, even when so much seemed to want to go wrong. But Aelin and Eliora… they were everything to him. He didn’t know if he would ever be able to banish his fears entirely, but he would treasure every moment he spent with them.

Rowan leaned in, kissing Aelin softly before murmuring against her lips, “I missed you.”

She smiled, kissing him again. “I missed you too, Ro.”

They indulged in a few more slow, sweet kisses before loud babbling sounded, tiny hands twisting into Rowan’s trouser. He looked down, finding Eliora’s wide eyes looking up at him, flashing a gummy smile.

Aelin laughed. “It looks like someone else missed you, too.”

Rowan grinned, reaching out and picking up his daughter. He held her up high, making her release the sweetest little laughs, little legs kicking in delight. He kissed Eliora all over her little face before tucking her in one arm, throwing the other around Aelin. Immense love and devotion flowed through him, holding his two girls close.

No wonder why he had been so impatient to get home.

it’s that aries anon again,, as a writer i find myself writing oc’s who are super hot headed and have willpower strong as stone. i really need your advice on how to tone it down a notch, make the oc’s more gentle, soft.

apologies if the question makes absolutely no sense whatsoever but i really enjoy reading your work so much— if i could learn something from the author herself why not ;))

hmmmm i used to struggle with the same thing last year so all my mcs would be the same yk?

i think the main idea behind creating a variation between your mcs is to detach yourself from your own characters, like you may feel more present and comfortable projecting your own traits on to them but in the long run, this will limit your story's quality. like! my advice is...even when you dont agree with a character, say someone who is complacent and cool headed and unable to be opinionated, you have step into THEIR shoes instead of viewing them on the surface.

like you can even draw up a graph or list, if it helps. the writer's job is to be observant of people and their personalities in real life without involving your personal input. otherwise... there is no way you would be able to draw up flawed personalities, which otherwise makes your writing realistic.

ask yourself what your character, who is infuriatingly different from you, would say in a given situation? are they shy, if they are shy how do they express themselves through body language? and etc, include other questions you feel are necessary to draw up your character.

you have to accept that you are simply a medium through which your story is being passed onto the reader, you are the teller, you are not a character. like how would you feel if someone were talking about themselves when they're telling you about idk hansel and gretel?

you are the puppet master who will play the reader into their hands! like always! remember to detach yourself from your characters, be an impassive onlooker, an indifferent narrator when you are writing. what bothers you about a character, (say they are kind of a pushover) will also bother your audience.

this is extremely necessary if you wish to make the audience feel the same frustration, love, loathing and adoration the characters feel for each other. yk?

idk if this helped cause this is merely a summary...but if need be, i can elaborate! 💗

Why I like them:

for all my angry yelling and kicking and complaining you may be surprised to learn that clow(riol) is one of my favorite parts of ccs! 

i think that having the Mystery and Legend of a long-dead wizard that hangs over sakura’s head at the start get light shed on it more and more so that we can see he’s just a person makes the world of ccs feel small and personal. it really stabilizes the heart of the series, what i love most about ccs- that it’s a story about individuals and the choices they make. the magic itself all traces back to one man and the way he felt it was right to act and to treat other people. i think he’s a fascinating character and a very very good choice of central figure.

Why I don’t:

THAT SAID, AAAAAGHHHHH HE IS HORRIBLE HE IS JUST A TERRIBLE LITTLE MAN I HATE HIM I HATE HIM SOOOO MUCH. even putting aside everything he* pulls as eriol, just the things he does as clow reed make me SO upset....LYING ABOUT HIS DEATH??? BREEZING INTO A TOWN TO STEAL A FORTUNE TELLER’S BUSINESS, GETTING HER NICE AND KATE BEATON NEMESIS.PNG’D, AND THEN IGNORING HER FOREVER??? it’s bad!! *(it’s complicated,) ive said this jokingly before but i think he just doesnt even think about other people having agency, that he’s not trampling but Guiding and Helping. i think part of his controlfreakiness is also a deep fear that he’s not enough, that he can’t keep a friend on his own merits so he’s gotta get his claws sunk in as much as possible, whether by emotionally living rent free in people’s heads or magical dependance. and that’s not a uniquely horrible belief, yknow, i think it’s very human and normal, but the problem is no one can criticize him. not with the amount of control he has over the people he surrounds himself with, the fact that he can physically shut down kero and yue any time he likes, etc. it’s not that power inherently Makes You Evil, it’s that power made it harder for people to say “hey stop that”, and if no ones telling him to stop then he must be doing fine!

GENUINE TIE BETWEEN THE BACK TO THE PAST EP OF THE ANIME AND THE SAKURA SEES THE TRUTH SCENE IN MANGA. i think both of them are great- the tightly controlled dreamy guided tour where she sees just what he wants her to see, AND sakura outpowering him and seeing the reality of his lies. in the manga when sakura sees him gives gentle headkisses to kero and yue before putting them to bed and eriol+fujitaka-ing i go AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ....... THEY LOVE SOMEONE WHO IS TERRIBLE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUU MY HEART. i headcanon that’s when he mind-messed with them, too, i think he had to touch them to do it and that was how.

yuuko again i guess? and him and all his creations. headcanon territory even though that’s actually the next question but you asked for my thoughts so here they are: i think of him as trying to be a sort of fun camp counselor or teacher type for kero+yue and the cards- specifically a role with an authority behind it, but without the same sort of responsibility that a parent would have. or, i guess, lacking an unconditional love, always an undertone of you having to prove yourself. someone who you go to to learn from, but if he likes can also go “no no im just like you, now let’s have fun!”. it’s hard to explain, but there’s a difference. 

what i’m trying to get at here is i think it’s significant that the only creations he has that we see him truly ‘raise’, (going by the info+lack of it we have, anyway, i fill in the blank for myself that kero and yue and the cards all showed up full of knowledge, fully formed, CLAMP DO NOT INTERACT!!!!!), were the mokonas, with yuuko. it was another person’s influence that brought a parental attitude in, it’s not something he ever wanted to be. there’s also a healthy dose of “yue textually had a crush on clow and i will not, no way, let you make that any more unfortunate than that already is”, i’ll admit, but i think that’s just a puzzle piece of the whole theory here. i think it would also be funny if he knew people like tolkein (eriol’s a tolkeinverse name if i remember correctly) and c.s. lewis (side note, i find the fact that clow is an actively practicing christian really funny), but i dont want to think too deeply about that sort of realworld mix, yknow.

Head Canon: 

i think pranks were highly encouraged in his house and none of the clow cards are being intentionally destructive, just acting in ways that were totally normal at home, and are genuinely shocked to learn that people will get seriously injured without clow there to cushion their damage.

Tros ideas

Hnnnnggg I don’t want to talk about tros but I feel I need to get this off my chest in some capacity or I’m gonna end up writing a complete re-do of the movie.

Idk i just though it would be a better storyline if they made Kylo what Anakin was trying to be. Anakin wanted to rule “his new empire” and now Kylo Ren is the supreme leader of the galaxy. So! he actually tries to make it better (or into what he thinks is better). I’ve sumized this idea into “Kylo Ren’s War on the Syndicates”, where he wouldn’t have been trying to track down the resistance because they’re effectively defeated and the war is over. When no one came to the resistance’s aid in TLJ it proved that they weren’t a threat.

So instead Kylo (and im calling him Kylo here because this is the one I would’ve preferred to see in the movie) turns his fury onto the Syndicates. He dismantles spice empires, eradicates the new hutt cartels, and breaks down the slave trade. Like! dhdjdkkdkd let him rule himself and actually fix the galaxy like his family has been trying to do for generations. That way he’s still ‘the bad guy’ because no one person should have that much power and sw is always pro-democracy. But IT CHANGES UP THE STATUS QUO!

Like how the clone wars added so much to the prequels, story-tellers would have been able to express (through comics and books etc.) how he actually made an impact on the galaxy by being in charge of it. Imagine! Kylo Ren versus Niima the Hutt restructuring the Jakku economy and allowing the scavengers to join the First Order ranks to have a chance at a better life! Kylo Ren breaking down the door of slavers and freeing as many people as the First Order is capable of. Which is a lot! Also I recognize is hiprocracy because all the stormtroopers are essentially slaves but that’s kinda the point lmao. (In this I believe he would’ve made efforts in order to change the FO into a clone army like he wanted to do in TFA. Because guess what! Kylo is in charge now! let it seem like the character has made impactful decisions.)

It would also be a reflection of how he was raised! By both of his parents. Like imagine your mother is a senator and tries for years to change the galaxy from the inside but it never works. Now you’re in a position to change everything as you see fit! Take it and do it! Kylo Ren has no master! He is not a Sith! Nor a Jedi! and thus he will do what must be done to make the galaxy better. Also! You’re setting him up into situations where he’s destroying the system that kept his father away from him. And now he can interact with the people that Han knew. (For example Kylo Ren confronts an old Qi’ra and demands uhhhhh... control of the shipyards on Corellia and she recognizes something in his face but can’t really tell what. Just little moments like that)

And I! Don’t! Care! The “political implications” this could have now-a-days, story wise it would have been interesting! And that’s all I need! People have complained since TFA came out that the resistance is just a rehashing of the rebellion. Which it was! But it didn’t have to be considering the events of the last jedi.

You had so much opportunity in the “snoke” sized hole left in the galaxy, why didn’t you do anything with it sw?

Vaporum: Lockdown grid based prequel launches but it’s coming to Linux

Vaporum: Lockdown dungeon crawler still coming to Linux gaming as well as Mac, with Windows PC. Thanks to developer Fatbot Games which has released it's PC debut on Humble Store, GOG and Steam. Vaporum: Lockdown by Fatbot Games is a grid based single player dungeon crawler. Which also takes place in an original steampunk setting. While taking inspiration from classics such as Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. Even the new Legend of Grimrock series. The game has launched on Windows PC. a/n: I had two other fic idea I tried to do with this but...this happened. this is my first wlw fic I’ve written since I came out as trans. I did have my lovely assistant @becomingmyinnerdemons help me make sure it wasn’t uncomfortable. As such pretty rated G and kinda fluffy.

Charlie totally loved LARP. She considered herself a bit of a larping queen actually. But she preferred high Fantasy, elves, dragons and magic. She felt comfortable in that setting. She could min-max her way to being the baddest bitch on the game floor. She read books like Harry Potter and the Hobbit. She liked fantasy, it was a happy place where the heroes always won—well, except for Song of Ice and Fire. It was an escape, a warm blanket of an escape. She liked fantasy. She had no interest in dark and gritty settings. Comics in the 90’s had been terrible. Batman was overrated.

She’d seen the source material a few times in her local game store. Books that were marked ADULT as if somehow playing vampires or werewolves were the mature thing to do. Charlie had plenty of adult encounters while in Middle-earth, thank you very much. But when there had been a flyer in her local gamer den for a new larp on the local college campus? Yeah, Charlie had decided to give it a go. Not because she was interested in this pretentious system but because her main game was in its offseason.

Sometimes a girl just needs a larp fix, regardless of the genre.

   She had sent an email to the contact on the flyer for the online group for the game. Roads Not Taken was a silly name for a campaign but Charlie had once been in a D&D game called Elf Quest so who was she to judge? She joined the topic for new players where the Story Teller--how weird was that to call your game master?-- that told her the system was just humans who got tapped with powers to fight monsters. It didn’t sound as goth as she had been expecting.

  Charlie was wowed by just how normal and geeky everyone had seemed. Just normal geeks who were planning on starting a larp about hunting monsters. One of the other players offered to help her build a character for the system. Charlie was fairly sure she could figure out how to build a character by herself but the offer game with the chance to actually know someone before hitting the game floor so she’d agreed.

  They had chatted privately for a couple days before agreeing on a time to meet up before the game to go over the basics. Charlie learned her real name was Jo. Charlie loved talking to her if she was honest. She learned Jo had an older taste in music. She worked with her mom at a bar not too far away. Jo had a wicked sense of humor. Jo also apparently was super well versed in the system. She had pdf copies of all the books for the system that she had emailed to Charlie through an encrypted server. It wasn’t the first time Charlie had gotten a crush on a girl across the internet but she was falling hard for her.

  Charlie felt comfortable enough to talk about her own life. How she worked in IT. What her favorite books and tv shows were and how much she really missed having a game that ran on a set schedule. How her Hogwarts house was Gryffindor and Hermione was her favorite character. 

  Jo said that was adorable. Charlie had screenshot that exchanges to her phone and stared at it sometimes feeling her face go red every time.

  Her favorite character from Harry Potter was Ron. She considered herself to by a Gryffindor as well but Pottermore had sorted her into Slytherin of all things. Jo talked about her collection of fantasy swords as well as just knives in general. She mentioned her favorite shows were a little more mystery than fantasy. She liked terrible B horror movies as well as good horror.

  Jo even made Hunter the Reckoning seem interesting and three dimensional. Jo made it a very human story. How people could just be going about their lives when suddenly the powers that be pulled back the curtain and revealed the monsters that existed in the world. Jo made the dark and gritty world of darkness even seem kind of cool.

  Charlie learned from talking with Jo on her skype that Jo was in at least 3 other larps in the city. Charlie got to learn all the drama of the intersecting Organizations of larps, two vampires and one werewolf. She got to hear some off-topic stories about how her friend Dean was constantly in some new crisis in a game because he couldn’t ignore or not take the bait for a plot. She heard about how the politics of one vampire game screwed up all her fun in the other one.

  Jo even asked for her facebook. Charlie had been hesitant to give it at first, it was full of some memes and her different cosplay pictures. But she gave it anyway. She liked Jo. Jo seemed like a good person. Jo was gorgeous. Her smile in her photos was infectious. Charlie found herself smiling every time she got a text or IM from Jo anyways but now she had a face to go with it.

    Through facebook, she also got to put other faces to names. Jo started a small group chat with some of the other players going to the hunter game to have a slight chance at building a group that sort of knew each other. Charlie found she liked most of them thought Sam and Dean seemed to be constantly getting each other off track. Adam normally only seemed to communicate with memes. Castiel was the assistant Storyteller for the game and seemed to be trying to keep Dean from getting too out there. Charlie was falling in love with Jo’s friends too.

  The only thing Charlie couldn’t seem to ask was whether Jo felt the same way about how they were getting along. They were talking all the time now. Once facebook had been exchanged then Instagram and twitter followed. Charlie wondered if she had a Tumblr but was afraid to ask, her Tumblr was overflowing with personal posts gushing about how much she liked Jo, it seemed a bad plan to open that door right now.

  So when are we meeting tomorrow? Charlie texted Jo.

  Want to catch coffee tomorrow before game? I want to see if the Unicorn thing is as bad as everyone says. Jo responded.

  It’s a date. Charlie had responded without thinking.

  Hope that means you’re paying ;) Jo had texted back.

  Charlie had to lay on the bed and remember how to breathe.

   Charlie totally hadn’t driven herself crazy with what to wear to meet Jo for the first time. She wasn’t sure if it was a date-date or just a ‘gals being pals’ event. That would have been insane to hyper stress about what to wear. She had stuffed her character clothes in her bag and showed up fifteen minutes early to the coffee shop and tried to calm her breathing.

  When Jo walked in with a t-shirt of Captain America’s shield colored in the bisexual flag Charlie was sure she’d died and gone to heaven.

  “Cute shirt.” Charlie has said waving Jo over.

  “thanks. I only save it for first dates with cute girls.” Jo had grinned.

People love or hate it Ok, here's the honest deal. Some people love this game above all others. Others hate it. There are few people in the middle ground. I am certainly in the middle on this one. I will play Vampire if I am invited to a game, but there have been multiple times when I was unsatisfied. Typically, I play Malkies, Ventrue or Setites. That comment right there will probably stop most hard-core Masquerade fans from reading the rest of this review, but these are the clans that interest me. Go to Amazon

White Wolf Does It Again, But Not So Hot This Time Around. Of the various incarnations of Vampire: The Masquerade editions I've gone through, I really didn't like this one. It shouldn't matter really but I didn't quite like the artwork in this one. It's descent but the art was better in previous editions. The same rules and character archetypes remain but my only complaint is the art and it seems like no one is really playing live roleplaying games anymore. Go to Amazon

Amazing, My new favorite rpg! This is amazing. Before this i was a diehard D&D player and occasional DM. (3.5 Edition) Deep down i always felt like there was somthing missing when i played. I never was really able to get into the story. I felt it was to combat orriented and Not enough story. Im not saying i dident have a blast playing, But i never felt like i was in control of my own destiny. Then with the release of 4.0 edition ( which in my personal opinion was terable.) I put down my sword and sheild and set out to find a new pen and papper game. This is what i found. A amazing game set in a world covered in darkness. This game blew me away. It has the story based setting that i was looking for. Yet still combat where it is needed. I finaly feel in contol beacuase the entire story is based around your actions. Insted of a preset quest. (find the magical artifact, kill the dragon, save the madden and the day) The ST (story teller, theere version of a DM, GM, ect...) Builds the story around your actions as they happan. Of course there are still preset quests. However there is nothing saying you have to do them. Also i love the depth you go into when making a character. Overall its a amazing game of personal horror. Weather your spending your nights feeding off the dregs of socitey or at the top controling it. There is always somthing new around every dark and grimey ally. Have fun and happy hunting! a must i've played vampire since 2001, with some long long long pauses between different campaigns, either as a master or as a player but i didn't ever bought the original manual for masquerade; then recently some of my old players (dissatisfied with the new edition) asked me for a campaing in the old setting and i take the chance for buying the core book, this time. i knew obviously the product since a long time and i think it's a must for everybody interested in a complex and enhralling roleplaying experience that goes beyond slicing monsters apart and destroying dungeons. even if some elelements of the setting reflects a let's say "late 90s atmosphere" i think that a bit of "nostalgia" feeling could be an interesting add in a vampire game, after all we are in the WoD and everything is decaying and rotting from inside, isn't it? Unpredictable

There's a different personalities meet in one place named Blue Academy. This school known as elite school. They are exchange students from different countries. This five person is excited to go in school because they heard that this school is popular.

As one of them enter the school, all head turn to him or her. It's not because there's something in their face but it is because they are foreigners. They didn't give attention about that, they continue to walk and find the office room. As they already complete, the head master start to talk. "Good morning exchange students, I'm Ash Particle the head master and the owner of this school. I'm glad to see you here and I hope you will enjoy your stay here. These is your keys in your dormitory. Your uniform is already there." "Thank you head master" they said in unison.

While walking the korean girl greet them. "Anyeongsaheyeo" she said. The four person didn't respond because they didn't understand her. The korean girl scratch her nape as she realize that they don't understand her. Instead of saying the meaning of that word she remain silent. In a moment of silence, a loud growl was broke it. They stop and laugh out loud as they realize that their stomach is already protesting.

After that they become close and they found out that they can predict future using their abilities. Star Kim, a korean and genius in computing everything. Sky Wasaki, a japanse and good at observing. Cloud Barber, a german and know about psychology. Thunder Bolt, a frances and a fortune tellers using card. Sun Smith, an italian and mature at thinking. They not believe to each other and to prove their ability they agreed to watch people and they will tell something and predict what will happen next or what will be the next action of that person. Sun is mature enough so he didn’t join them. Star, Sky, Thunder and Cloud agreed that Sun will choose the person and they will tell their prediction in front of each other one by one. Sun can't do anything about that so he just agreed.

Sun choose a two person, a person who is good at drama. Summer Sunny and Winter Frost is the chosen. This two person is personally known by Sun and they don’t know that. While they are walking Sun pin point Summer and Winter. "I already choose who's person. Do you see that boy, his name is Winter Frost. Yesterday, I heard him together with his friends talking about Summer Sunny. Winter should make fall in love Summer to him and break her heart." "Now, I want you to predict what will happen between Summer and Winter." "Then who will start?" Star said. "As you asked that then you will start then followed by me, Thunder and last Cloud," Sky said.

"I will start now. Based on the personality of that Frost, I assure you guys that his first move is do a research about Summer then their first meet is to bump into Summer and pretend to be gentleman." Star said in front of them. "Let see" Cloud respond.

Two days have passed, Star's prediction is still didn't happen. "Do you really compute everything? Until now, your prediction didn't happen" Thunder asked in frustration. "Did I tell you that when it happen?" Star responded. Thunder didn't talk as he realize that Star didn't tell when it happen. Because of that answer, all of them become silent it looks like an angel passed in their front.  Star broke it with a statement. "Later, it will happen"

They are in the hall way right now telling their story. After a while, Frost with his friend walk in front of them discussing something. "Bro, do you already finish in you research about Summer." Frost' friend asked. "Already than, later everything will start."

As they heard that their eyes got wider. At the moment, they saw Summer heading in the Frost direction by that time a statement filled their mind. "Show will begin now." They thought.

While Summer is walking, she's busy looking for her phone inside her bag. Then suddenly a broad shoulder bumped to her that lead to her fall. "Ouch!" She groan. "Are you okay miss?" he asked likes he really cares. Summer didn't respond because she is picking one by one her things scattered on the floor. The guy help until they finish. "Let me help you to stand up" he offer his hand while looking her intently. Summer didn’t mind that look,she just raise her hand and reach Winter's hand. When Summer stand up she feel heat in her palm then she realize that Winter is still holding her hand. "my hand" "Oh..sorry..I am so sorry miss" Winter replied while stroking his hair. "By the way, I’m Winter Frost and you are?" "Summer Sunny, I need to go." Then she left Winter.  "Why I feel cold to her opposite from her name. Maybe its normal like me my name is Winter Frost but I’m hot. What I’m thinking but it’s true I’m hot."

"You believe now that I can"  asked. "Hai" the japanese guy replied. "It’s Sky turn now,right Star?" Cloud said. "Ne oppa,Skyoppa turn now" "Hey stop your alien language,we didnt understand you" Thunder protested. "mianhamnida" bow her head as symbol of apologizing. "You really annoying, let me hit you once." Thunder said while chasing Star. "Stop it will you" they stop as Sun said that. These youngest member of their group can stop them. His voice is full of authority. "Sky tell your observation." Sun said with authority. "Coincidence, he will use it. They will meet like a coincidence bit the truth is he plan it." Sky told his insight. "Then we should follow Summer from now on." Cloud suggested and they agreed.

"Oppa, oppa, Summer is in the canteen, hurry up lets go, we need to find a vacant table near to her." Star said while pulling them. "Let me go, you don't need to pull me." Sun said with a blank face. "Hey, I’m your noona, I’m older than you." Star said while pointing him. Sun ignore her and face the others. "Let’s go" "He’s mean, he ignore me." Summer tell to herself while pouting and she didn't realize that her friends already left her.

When the five is already there. They saw that Summer is alone in the two seats table. She seems waiting for someone. Then suddenly, Winter sit in the vacant chair. "Guys it’s just me or not, I see twinkle in eyes of summer, It shows happiness." Sky said while wondering plastered in her face "your just hallucinating, see her face, its shows coldness" Cloud answered. "Quite, we might lost important things, let’s just watch" Sun said to them.

"Hi Summer, do you recognize me?" "Yeah, my opposite" "opposite?" "Summer-Winter" "Ah li get it" "Why you sit here?" "All table is already occupied so im here by the way Am I not all0wed?" "There’s a vacant chair in other table"Summer said while pointing the other chairs. "I don’t like there and it’s rude to seat and share ameal with a stranger." "Tsk!! You just know my name." "I don’t care and allow me please." He said with matching puppy eyes. "What can I do, I didn’t own this chair." After that they become silent while eating.

"Winter is a great actor, right?" Sky stated. "I adore yours observing ability, it's really useful but why you didn't notice." Sun said while directly looking his eyes. "What are you saying namdongsaeng?" Star said with a question plastered in her face. "Nothing, don’t mind me." He said and walk away. "Hey oppa, don't you think namdingsaeng become weird this days." Star asked her oppa. "You're imagining things again Star." Thunder said while patting her shoulder and they followed Sun.

"Guys lets go to the library" Sun said. "For what?" Cloud asked while playing in his phone. "Let’s start our research" he replied. "Are you a nerd?" Star said while intently looking Sun's face. As usual Sun didn’t respond and walk away. While they are busy looking a related book in their research, Cloud saw Summer. He said it to his friends and he also pointing the spot of Summer. When they turn their gaze to Summer they saw Winter heading to her.

"Hi, Summer" with hand gesture. "Oh what are you doing here?""I’m always here." "Really? Then why I didn't see you here ever since." "Hahaha, you already saw me but you didn't recognize me because you don’t know me back then." "Maybe...but I really don’t remember it."“ To prove it let us check the log book." "hahaha no need, I believe now." After that Summer continue to read the book"Woahhh!!! I thought she caught me up. Im glad she didn’t check the log book." Winter talk in his mind.

"These tarot cards say that they become friends tomorrow," Thunder said. Like Thunder say they become friends in exact date. They have time to each other. They hanging out, eating and enjoying the presence of each other. They become close and if you see them you might think that they are couple.

"I read that friends with opposite sex tend to be a couple. I see that the action of Winter is the symptom that they will do something." Cloud said to them. "Let’s go they are in the field let’s watch." Star said.

"Summer I have something to tell you." "What it is?" "I know after this everything will change." "Say it straight, you give goose bump." "I....I like you .no..I love you already. It’s okay if you don't feel the same. I will respect you." "Are you serious?" "Yes, very serious." "Then court me." "What!!! I mean does it need?" "Yes, how can assure that you didn’t hurtme." "I see that Winter is really serious," Star said. "I think he forgot about the bet," Sky said. "Guys all your part is already done, you already prove, don’t waste our time here,"Sun said. They didn't stop instead they take their last blow. All of them said that Winter can’t break Sumner’s heart

In the hallway, Winters friend saw him. "Winter, long time no hang out." "Yeah, it’s been a while." "Are you in the last step now?" "What are you saying?" "Summer!" "Summer!" "Summer, please listen to me." Summer stop when he heard the plead of Winter. "What for?" "Ok I admit, I plan everything but my feeling towards is true." "Really?" "Yes" "Then I win" "What?" “Guys show up..." "See, I make him fall inlove to me," Summer said in her friend with a big smile. "You’regreat, let’s go, you will treat us." Summer left him dumbfounded and crying.

"What happen?" "How?"  "Am I dreaming?" "How come I’m wrong" The four can’t accept what happen. "Stop it guys," Sun said. "No, I can compute everything, I can predict but how come I can’t now," Star said. "Even me, my observation is always true then how I get wrong thus time. I didn’t sense any hit,"Sky said. "Is my tarot cards, it’s not functioning right now?" Cloud said. "What happen? I thought my knowledge about psychology can know everything, can predict,"Thunder said."Calm down guys, I want to tell something,"Sun said. "What it is all about?" Thunder asked. "It’s about Winter and Summer." "What about them?" Sky asked. "I personally known that two they are my friend. They are member of drama club. They are in relationship maybe 2 years already. I plan everything. I asked them to act and I’m their director." "You mean you plan everything and we are wrong from the first place but why did you do that?" Cloud asked. “I want you guys to learn. Learn that you can't predict what will happen. No one can do that even you have an ability. Only God can predict.”
