remaking.

due to the callout post against me that i already basically responded to [ here ] as well as the rlly weird anonymous message i recieved two days ago, i have decided to remake my blog and archive this one. this is both for my personal comfort, and for those of my followers, who may have changed their mind about me after the callout, but feel ‘weird’ about breaking mutuals. i understand ur discomfort, it is a reasonable and human response to trauma even if i maintain i did not do anything wrong. i want your dash to be a safe space for you. i want you to be comfortable. and i want to make sure that the people i’m mutuals aren’t secretly scared of me.

i will also be making a new discord.

i am going to be cutting the persona fandom off entirely. i do not feel like making new pages/a new identity to protect my privacy (and also feel weird about that as someone who wants to be held accountable and not ‘fool’ people into following someone who may have made them uncomfortable in the past), and i have been severely triggered by this entire event.

apparently ppl i don’t even kno are talking about me in the persona fandom so i just want to say, i DON’T ship ANY adults with minors. even if they are ‘aged up.’ even if they ‘age up’ in canon by growing older over the course of the game! the most problematic age gap i ship in ALL my fandoms is like. dedue (who is 18 at the start of the game) and byleth (who is 22 at the start of the game), and that’s mostly bc its the only good ship for dedue bc almost everybody else in the fire emblem universe is racist as hell to dedue, and i’m more okay with college professor x student ships than i am ships that demean literally the only black character in the game.

in general i don’t like when people age up their characters, but @adultdefy is a special case, where they are actively trying to ‘fix’ the pedophilic narrative of persona 5. there’s CANON pedophilic romances in this game yall. even if you don’t romance the adult characters as joker, a high school boy, you STILL GET A FULL-BODY MASSAGE FROM YOUR TEACHER WHILE SHE IS WEARING A MAID OUTFIT, AND IT’S LIKE, A MECHANIC OF THE GAME THAT YOU /NEED/ TO FINISH ALL THE SOCIAL LINKS BEFORE THE GAME ENDS.

as a victim of csa in online spaces multiple times over, i support writers in exploring these themes in a way that understands the trauma that puts on a teenager, and fixing these themes in ways that do not romantacize them. the narrative that adultdefy and i have developed is about dr. maruki, a guidance counselor, helping a csa survivor with his hypersexuality, impulse control, and even self-harm due to his trauma. and in the process, dr. maruki learns to be a better person and mental health practitioner and set better boundaries with people, fitting the themes of the game in which he does not do so until the end of the game.

yes, their akira has a crush on dr. maruki. so do other high schoolers, canonically, in the game, that dr. maruki helps. there’s no need to sexualize high schooler’s crushes. it’s a normal thing to have a crush on adults that are nice to you when you are a teenager, let alone when u are a impulsive teenager that is a csa victim that is displacing feelings on a therapist. that’s what i want to explore, the unhealthiness of that one-sided relationship for both of them even in its innocence, and how they can both grow as people from it.

i do not ‘ship’ dr. maruki and akira. i will NEVER ship dr. maruki and akira. i think dr. maruki is a non-binary he/him LESBIAN lol. i don’t even want to ship him with men, let alone high school boys.

you don’t know me. you’ve never talked to me. you have never experienced my life or my experiences. i understand where you are coming from and your concern, and your response to trauma is your own and its LEGITIMATE, and i support you in your trauma response and your own view on morality and morality-based narratives---but i’m 24 years old, an adult with 10 years of therapy under my belt. i assure you i’m not interacting with @adultdefy to sexualize a minor. that’s gross, and wrong, and while i believe they can do whatever they want on their own blog to fix the game’s wrongs, i will never ship my own akira with any adults personally.

please understand accusations of pedophilia are dangerous and triggering to victims of csa, such as myself. 

but i really do understand where you’re coming from.

EUGENE & RAPUNZEL : I LOVE THIS SHIP TBH. the first time i watched this movie i SOBBED at That Part and i just? love eugene and rapunzel both so much?

my only problem with it. is that in tangled the series.... eugene really becomes kind of like. a joke character? like there are bits and glimpses where u can see he’s literally the smartest guy around (tho rapunzel is EVEN SMARTER, which i love and will always support and stan)... but some of his specialness kind of seems to fade away when he tries to be a prince-consort and rapunzel’s boyfriend and eugene fitzherbert when he’s so USED to being flynn rider, thief. and he was good at it, he was really, really good, the best there was, in fact, and i don’t think, the two seasons of tangled i’ve seen bc they’re on disney +... go into letting eugene have his own identity enough, as MORE than rapunzel’s boyfriend. I LOVE THEM TOGETHER. i do. but also. i want to see rapunzel supporting eugene’s dreams more! and eugene figuring out what his new dream is BESIDES rapunzel.

because flynn rider was the best thief of all time. but what is eugene fitzherbert, besides kind of a jokester and a very charming love interest and son-in-law-to-be, but still, u know?

i’d love to explore aus where eugene found himself more over the course of season 1 & 2.

but i love your rapunzel, and i’d be SO HAPPY TO SHIP WITH U!!!!!! tbh if u wanted DRAMA we could do like. they know they’re soul mates---but they BOTH HAVE TO FIND THEMSELVES, and then, they are torn apart by finding who they are, mysteries of the black rock and the dark kingdom that push them away from each other thru physical distance and... it’s just easier if they let each other go for a bit, ease up on the relationship stuff. eugene doesnt want to tie rapunzel down when she’s out in the world for the first time and he LOVES her so much he’s willing to let her like, experience other men (OR WOMEN, OR NON-BINARY PEOPLE IF UR PUNZIE SWINGS THAT WAY), because. at the end of the day. eugene also realizes that eugene is the first man rapunzel has ever met in her WHOLE life. and maybe she wants OTHER EXPERIENCES before she settles down. and that’s okay with him. he’s willing to step into the shadows and love her from afar and wait until she’s ready.

and it’s angsty but it’s also a great show of love and trust that she will eventually find her way back to him? that he’ll be there for her?

AND IDK IT’S JUST A GOOD SHIP WITH SO MUCH MORE POTENTIAL THAN LIKE. DISNEY GIVES IT LOL. (and i understand why, the show’s focus should be on the girls bc it’s a show FOR girls. give them role models. i love role models. but also. i love eugene lmfao. that being said maybe the last season is really good to him I DONT KNOW YET BC... in all honesty i am just chilling. this blog is just a hobby for me, sometimes i don’t have inspiration for specific things. if ur really pressed about it i urge you to block me, i think that’s a healthier behavior for u than sending anonymous complaints.

i also urge you to take care of urself. drink some water. eat some food. take ur meds. nobody on tumblr owes you anything. but you owe it to yourself to be kind to urself and take breaks from situations that stress you out and make u uncomfortable.

my woke brain loves wutai’s representation in ff7 original as a criticism of how capitalism and war combine to subjugate and commodify japan. it’s an incredibly important representation and symbol of japan post-ww2, and the fact that the wutai war is probably over in ff7r too and shinra is merely using them as a tourist destination and cultural artifact and ALSO silmulntaneously making them out to be ‘the enemy’ so they can continue manufacturing weapons, not caring whether they perpetuate racism and xenophobia in the process... what a great and important representation of the evils of war and a great analogue to the evils of american imperialism that is personally important to me & my life as a biracial asian american

but my HORNY AESTHETIC WRITER BRAIN? my horny aesthetic writer brain is like ‘what if gladio just... was a wutai general... and i made what was basically classy and tasteful historical fantasy romance fiction.... what if... makes u think.....’

AERITH & TIFA : ok i’m a bad lesbian bc i dont really know how i feel about aerti but also? i just want my aerith to be like. obsessed with ur tifa in particular. tifa voice: are we flirting or are we friend flirting? aerith voice: yes. they are clearly so important to each other and they have a similar way of projecting femininity to the world, of being both cute & adorable & pretty in all the ways that count, but also... BARRET & TIFA : i want them to be like. the best of friends. i want any time tifa to have yelled at barret to be from the place of a woman who is just as much of family to him as marlene, i want them to understand each other and love each other and not know who really counts as the big sibling and who counts as the little sibling bc they take care of each other so well in different ways, but also, tifa is DEFINITELY marlene’s auntie and that’s all that really matters. i want them to be PARTNERS in business and revolution and everything AVALANCHE does, i want barret to feel likes she’s just as much of a founder as he is and tifa to feel like he’s just as much a part of the soul of her business. I WANT EVERYTHING FROM THEM LOL.

GLADIO & TIFA : this is sort of a crack ship on my part, but i see potential for them bc in my au, gladio is a wutai general in the ongoing war. while in ff7 the war is pretty much over, i hc the war in ff7r is still going on. i think tifa and gladio could be an interesting expression of mainland vs emmigrant anxieties about the war in a fascinating and important way, and i think gladio would both have great respect for tifa as a warrior, and great sympathy for her as someone of wutai heritage. i also think he could try to convince tifa to join the wutai army as like. a fun sideplot? lmfao it could be cool, and it would be like. classically romantic in a way lmfao

TIFA & FANG : my fang is a part of the main branch of avalanche that didn’t defect---but she kind of agrees with barret even tho they butt heads. i see them as having an antagonistic relationship as tifa’s allegiances is always aligned with barret----but they start to warm up to eachother as bad ass lady warriors and immigrants over time when fang joins them on their journey! RIVALS TO FRIENDS AU.
