It’s totally crazy that I went the River Kwai Bridge in Kanchanaburi, Thailand yesterday and even took a picture in front of the bridge posing as Col. Nicholson, without realising yesterday was Sir Alec Guinness’ birthday.

NAP TIME AND BABY FEVER l QH43
SUMMARY: Quinn comes home to his wife and children napping, and it leads to a very important talk.
PAIRING: Quinn Hughes x Fem!Reader
AUTHOR'S NOTES: Hi!! I'm on such a Quinn phase always right now. And dad!Quinn actually owns my heart, so I needed to write some more for him. I don't know why the kids are always sleeping when I write these, but I have more dad!Quinn coming out soon, pinky promise. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this. Likes and reblogs are always welcomed. Thank you for reading!!! <3333
Tumblr media
The house was silent when Quinn got home. It was peaceful and quiet. That’s never a good sign with children, he thought, worried. If there’s one thing having children taught Quinn Hughes it is that silence is never a good sign. Upon entering the house, he felt immediately unsettled, his eyes darting around, searching for the little ones, who usually came running into his arms, celebrating his return as if he hadn’t left only a few hours ago.
The defenseman left his equipment bag in the foyer, throwing his keys on the table and hastily taking off his shoes, hurrying up the stairs, looking for a sign of life from his wife and children. Worried, Quinn was skipping steps. He goes into your shared room immediately feeling his heart full. Quinn opened the door to the bedroom quietly and saw his wife, sleeping peacefully in the middle with their two children, Oliver and Aurora, snuggled up against her body. He looked over, a soft smile on his face, mentally wondering how was it possible to live such a good life, surrounded by so much love. Sometimes Quinn still couldn't believe this was his life. Not even his wildest dreams would come close to reality.
He hesitated for a moment, watching the peaceful picture before him. Taking a deep breath, he slowly stepped into the room, carefully made his way over to the bed, and knelt down, carefully brushing a strand of hair from your face. Quinn got up, preparing to turn away and let them rest when you stirred awake, sleepy eyes fluttering open. A bit confused, you quickly took in your surroundings, your gaze finding your husband's. You smiled up at him sleepily and beckoned him closer, doing your best to not wake up the children.
Holding out his hand, Quinn helped you get up without disrupting the two kids. You smiled at him gratefully as he guided the both of you out of the bedroom.
You and Quinn tiptoe downstairs to the kitchen, sitting at the table, drinking some tea. Quinn told you about his day, sharing the stories of the rink, the fun of living out his dreams, and also the hardships of being the captain; you talk about your day at home, telling him about the kids and about how far you've already gotten in the writing of your new book. The two of you stay there, laughing and joking as the afternoon sun casts golden light across the room.
Quinn looked at you with a loving gaze. He could feel a wave of emotion rush through him. Having that sweet moment with you, after seeing you and the children huddled up together had filled him with a longing he couldn't quite explain. He had thought about it before, but never seriously. Now, though, he couldn't help but imagine another kid. Another little one, the perfect mix of the both of you. The thought itself made him smile.
“What do you think about having another baby?” Quinn questioned suddenly, breaking the silence.
“Are you thinking about it?” You answer, looking back at your husband, waiting for his answer.
It’d be an utter lie to say you hadn’t thought about it, truth be told. Both of the kids had friends with baby siblings and you could feel the want for another one deep inside you, missing the baby days. Besides, the sight of Quinn with his teammates' babies always made your mind go blank, full of sinful thoughts.
“I just,” The defenseman starts, unsurely, “I wouldn't be against having another kid if you're up for it.” He said shyly, almost afraid of your response.
You smiled softly, eyes sparkling in the light of the kitchen. Leaning in, you've kissed him sweetly, voice warm and affectionate, slightly flirty. “I'd love to have another baby with you, Mr. Hughes”
Quinn grinned, eyes full of relief and surprise at his wife's answer. “There’s no one else I’d rather be the mother of my children, Mrs. Hughes,” He answers, the same flirty tone you’d used.
He rises from the table, pulling you with him. He held you close, sharing a few more kisses. They stood in the kitchen, the same kitchen where they had shared so many memories together, holding each other and dreaming about the possibilities that lay ahead of them. They both knew that their family was about to get a little bigger, and they couldn't wait. The room was filled with a different kind of joy, one that was shared between two people who loved each other deeply and were excited for the future.

Lilia’s Lie: Dark Mirror, Carriages, Planes, & Land of the Red Dragons
This is one of my wildest titles for a theory yet haha! BUT I HAVE A POINT, I promise 🐦‍⬛
Tumblr media
This one line from Book 7 has been driving me nuts. This is the scene at the end of Lilia’s Farewell Party, because he’s losing his magic and is going to the Land of the Red Dragons to live the rest of his life. But that’s when Malleus comes in, puts everyone asleep, Overblots, etc etc. But the CARRIAGE is a fascinating, and I think purposeful detail.
Because what is this carriage for? The Dark Mirror is well established to take students anywhere they want in the world. In all the homeland events that come to mind, such as Scalding Sands, Harveston, Tamashina-Mina, White Rabbit Fest, etc, the characters travel to their homelands through the Dark Mirror. And all these lands are far away from Sage’s Island, which is expected because it’s repeatedly mentioned that Sage’s Island is isolated from the rest of the world.
Tumblr media
Well, Lilia’s party was in the Diasomnia dorm. Looking at the school maps, the Dark Mirror is a decent way from the Hall of Mirrors, which is where the student dorm mirrors are located. And since Lilia supposedly can’t teleport anymore due to the loss of magic, having a carriage transport him to the Dark Mirror made…some sense. However, the carriages have not been mentioned throughout the whole game- and I can’t immediately think of a vignette either. So why now? Why Lilia?
Tumblr media
What truly stirred up my suspicion is Lilia’s explanation to Silver. Silver says the Land of the Red Dragons is on the other side of the world, but Lilia claims he can just hop on a plane instead of using a broom or a boat.
BUT THIS IS A LIE.
Tumblr media
When looking at the Sage’s Island map (haha chicken drumstick 🍗), there is no visible airport that this mysterious carriage could take him to. Considering how isolated the people of this island are, an airport should be in well use, wouldn’t it? However, the airport should be visible somewhere from this map. If we’re being extremely generous with measurements, an airplane that can hold 50 passengers would require a 1200-1500 meter runway to safely land and take off. A standard narrow-body airline would require 1800-2100 meters for a runway. In miles, it isn’t a lot- just around one mile-ish. BUT THATS THE POINT. In this map of Sage’s Island, the BOATS are visible from this map. I have no idea how people measure stuff to figure out measurements for stuff in video games haha, but if passenger boats are visible from this birds-eye view, a runway AND an airport should very well be visible from the map too.
Tumblr media
But all this nonsense about a plane runway is completely unnecessary! Why? In the first Halloween event (Terror Is Trending), Ace explains Sage’s Island tourism industry and how difficult it is for outside people to visit the island. No one can use a plane to just get there, not even the islanders. After all, if Sage’s Island had an airport for the islanders, it would reasonably mean that outside people could land there by plane. But they don’t. They HAVE to board multiple ferry’s to get there, the airplane is only needed to get to a certain bus stop outside the island to even get to a boat.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, in Port Fest, Jack explicitly mentions passenger ships. Boats and ferries are the primary source of travel for islanders and outsiders regarding Sage’s Island. There is no easy way to both exit or enter the island WITHOUT the use of a mirror.
And again, all of this just brings up the question of why Lilia would use a plane or a boat of all things instead of the Dark Mirror. Much like the carriage, planes have only been mentioned one time in the story, where STYX when transporting the Overblotters through a cargo plane. Lilia’s lessening/lack of magic shouldn’t affect mirror travel at all, as Yuu can go through the Dark Mirror without any complications, even though they’re magicless.
So Your Honor, LILIA VANROUGE IS LYING! But that is nothing new haha…ha…But what does this mean exactly? Why the carriage, why a plane?
Tumblr media
The black carriage has some extraordinary abilities- even able to travel underwater. Since it picks up students from all over the world, it seems to have an ability to teleport somehow (or at least someone else is controlling this system). What’s interesting about this is that this carriage system is under Crowley’s control. He knows exactly where Lilia is going if the carriage would, for some reason, take Lilia instead of the mirror. Again, the use of the carriage is strange, because they specifically are meant to receive the students chose by the Dark Mirror- not serve as some public transportation system.
Plus, it’s also a bit frightening symbolically haha, because the carriages in NRC look much like hearse’s, vehicles that transport the dead and their coffins. Carriages were obviously the common hearse back in the day. In Lilia’s case, the carriage picking him up almost feels like a death sentence.
Tumblr media
But then I remembered of Ace’s line in the end of Book 4 when he and Deuce tried to rescue Yuu and Grim from Scarabia: “The mirror gate wasn’t open, so we couldn’t warp back with magic.”
The mirror gate wasn’t open because it was winter break at NRC, so it makes sense that for safety precautions, the mirror was shut down to prevent any outsiders from getting in. But that’s when I thought of another possibility: What if, before Malleus’ Overblot, the Dark Mirror was locked just like in Book 4? Meaning that Lilia HAD to travel by carriage, which seems to be able to travel to faraway lands.
Tumblr media
Of course, this is a bit more of a stretch. But the more I thought about it, I remembered Endless Halloween/Spectral Soirée and how even though time stopped, the Dark Mirror was able to be connected to another realm. Sure, it was this ghost realm and not an actual place outside NRC. But even when time is stopped, the mirror seems to be functional. We can’t say if the Dark Mirror could work or not during Malleus’ Overblot, just because Malleus’ barrier the prohibits exits- Ortho was only able to escape through radio signals, not even able to go through underwater cables. But at the end of Book 7 Chapter 6, Ortho was able to infiltrate the magic barrier somehow with STYX technology. So there is some way to bypass the barrier, which I assume we’ll find out in the next update.
So what if Crowley had the Dark Mirror locked for some purpose? He and Lilia must have some sort of understanding with each other if Lilia agreed to take a carriage instead of the mirror. Lilia would have to go to Crowley himself to drop out and explain his reasons why, after all. There are so many theories I could probably connect the locking of the Dark Mirror to haha (e.g Meleanor Dark Mirror theory), but if Crowley does have a connection to the Overblots somehow, perhaps he knew Malleus would Overblot at the farewell party. Crowley’s purpose here could go at least two ways, depending on his intentions. For one, he could be locking the mirror to prevent anyone from escaping the island. If Malleus’s barrier grew and grew, the mirror would be functionally useless. But on the other hand, perhaps Crowley locked the mirror to prevent Malleus’s magic from spreading across the world.
Tumblr media
Because thinking about it, Malleus cast his realm magic inside the Diasomnia Dorm, meaning that his magic escaped the dorm mirror and spread across not only NRC, but to other dorm mirrors as well. Hm…his magic can both escape and enter mirrors and affect those realms. So what if Crowley locked the Dark Mirror as a precaution to prevent Malleus’ sleeping magic from spreading across the world? (。・ω・。) In his Overblot state, Malleus could easily do this. But Malleus himself seems to be confined to the inside of his barrier. Perhaps Crowley was doing something noble here…
Edit: I had this in mind when writing this but completely forgot to put it in 🧍 Just as another minor possibility, Lilia could also just not be going to the Land of the Red Dragons, and somewhere else entirely. If the carriage is indeed taking him somewhere, influenced by Crowley’s magic, Lilia could just truly have fallen off the face of the earth if he deliberately lied to everyone where he was going 🧍 Anyway, not much of a point to add haha. But I think Crowley and Lilia are in on something, or at least understanding something about each other. Something had to have brought Lilia’s attention to leave in such a hurry, something important enough to Crowley accept and arrange a carriage for him🤔
So basically this could just be me over analyzing the text as usual, and Lilia was just referring to planes casually outside of NRC 🧍 And the carriage could just be Crowley being extra and giving Lilia a ride to the Mirror Chamber so Lilia doesn’t have to walk all the way 💀💀💀 Still, the specification of a carriage is just…odd. Or perhaps I’m just coping and in severe denial
Anyway, let me have my fun!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I should be a goofy Ace Attorney-esque lawyer in the Twisted Wonderland world. I’d get so many contempts of court because I am being too silly \(//∇//)\

My updated rankings/reviews of all the k dramas I have seen so far (up to 54 now). I would recommend any show I gave a C grade or higher, which is most of them. I bolded recently added shows.
1. Hometown Cha Cha Cha: An absolute masterpiece. It’s a heartwarming fish out of water story about a big city girl who finds herself in the quirkiest little seaside town. I wanted to stay in Gongjin forever. Grade: A+(Netflix)
2. Extraordinary Attorney Woo (S1): Delightful! Never have I ever rooted for a lead harder. She is the most endearing lead you will ever find. And the male lead is so so swoony. Grade: A+(Netflix)
3. Alchemy of Souls: The wildest of rides and the perfect blend of fantasy, adventure, mystery, comedy, and romance. The characters are just so lovable, you’ll never want it to end. Season 2 just as good as Season 1. Grade: A+ (Netflix)

5. My Demon: This show had me utterly enthralled, it was so mysterious and suspenseful and yet incredibly goofy and romantic. My new favorite main couple in all KDrama land. Yes it wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it so much, it really encapsulated everything I love in a tv show. Grade: A (Netflix)
6. Business Proposal: It’s got every trope you can think of and it does them all to perfection. Plus it’s hilarious. Grade: A (Netflix)
7. Healer: This super romantic action mystery drama will keep you on the edge of your seat. Ji Chang Wook is equal parts sexy and adorable which is a seriously winning combination. Grade A (Viki). One caveat: I was very disappointed by a certain wardrobe decision in episode 3.
8.Her Private Life: Super funny and charming. The romantic leads have incredible chemistry. The premise is so good! Might be the one of the most rewatchable kdramas. Grade: A (Netflix)
9. Castaway Diva: Just utterly heartwarming. An instant classic. Ultimate underdog, redemption, story that teaches us what real love and family is. Also Ki-Ho is the new standard by which all men will be judged. Grade: A (Netflix)
10. Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung: Great strong female lead. Very good messages. Couldn’t stop watching. The most adorable prince I’ve ever seen 💜Cha Eunwoo💜 Grade: A (Netflix)
11. Bad Prosecutor: Absolutely thrilling and hilarious. It’s like a heist, detective, lawyer, action comedy that will keep you wondering who is outsmarting who? Super shocking plot twists. Amazing OST. Stuck the landing with a truly satisfying finale. Grade A (Viki)
12. Sh**ting Stars: Probable the biggest turnaround of any show I’ve seen (The “Africa” part was so problematic). However it turned out to be one of the funniest and swooniest KDramas out there. There are 5 couples and you will cheer for all of them. Grade: A- (Viki)
13. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon: The main couple is absolutely everything! Just fast forward through pretty much every side plot (they are not important) and you’ll love it. Grade: A- (Viki)
14. So I Married the Anti-Fan: It’s campy, fluffy, goodness, with a fierce female lead and a K-pop star enemy/love interest. 2nd fastest binge of my life. Grade: A- (Viki)

16. Romance is a Bonus Book: Might be the most romantic K-Drama I’ve ever seen. Nothing about the trailer or setup intrigued me but I’m so glad I watched it anyway. It was a truly beautiful love story. Grade: A- (Netflix)
17. Because This Is My First Life: This drama really does everything right for me… A slow burn romance built on mutual love and respect. Supporting characters who I genuinely cared about and had incredible side stories of their own. A critique of the patriarchy. Women supporting women. An adorable cat. Maybe a bit melodramatic at times but not too much. Grade A- (Netflix)

19. Run On: Cute, fun, silly and pretty light. I especially loved the supporting cast. Strange storyline but it was a fun easy ride. Grade: A- (Netflix)

21. Soundtrack #1: Short and beautiful. I just loved it. No one does heart eyes better than Park Hyung-Sik. Grade: B+(Disney+)
22. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo: A bad-ass yet vulnerable female lead. The main couple just had a lot of fun together. Refreshing. Grade: B+ (Viki)
23. Doctor Slump: This show was a really nice journey of both mental health and romance. Grade: B+ (Netflix)
24. Welcome to Samdalri: Very heartwarming and beautiful story about love, family, friendship, and going home. It has quirky townspeople and Ji Chang Wook 😍 what’s not to love? Grade: B+ (Netflix)
25. My Lovely Liar: Creative and engaging premise, intriguing mystery, and a swoon worthy romance. A very fun viewing experience. Grade: B+ (Viki)
26. King the Land: This drama pretty much has no stakes or conflict and the main couple has THE MOST chemistry I have ever seen in my entire life. So if you just want to turn your brain off and be happy, this is the drama for you. I absolutely loved it. Grade: B+ (Netflix)
27.Law Cafe: This drama has so much to love, a strong/fierce/brilliant and morally righteous female lead, lovable side characters, steamy romance. But what I loved most was how the show spotlighted important issues like consent and abuse in nuanced and progressive ways. Yes it’s a fun rom-com but it felt like the beginning of a new chapter of more egalitarian storytelling which made me really excited for the future of k-dramas. Grade: B+ (Viki)
28. Not Others: A lovely Gilmore Girls type show about the relationship between an immature mother and her very mature adult daughter. It was a pleasure seeing them grow in their relationships with each other, others, and themselves. I want more! Grade B+ (Viki)
29. Cheer Up: Sports, comedy, romance, mystery, suspense, coming of age, this show had everything. The female lead was the lovable, feisty, driven, and brave. The male lead was adorkable, considerate, and sweet. It’s all very enjoyable and wholesome. Grade: B+ (Viki)
30. I Am Not A Robot: Zany premise but it was surprisingly pretty grounded for how crazy the set up was. It’s funny, emotional, good story telling. Great character development. Grade: B+ (Viki)
31. See You in My 19th Life: The shared experience of watching this mystical mystery drama week to week made it a really enjoyable watch. Not sure if it was totally satisfying, or that any of the couples’ chemistry felt authentic, but it was a very interesting and creative storyline. Grade B (Netflix)
32. Summer Strike: This show made me cry a lot. It’s heartbreaking yet healing. I’m still not sure if I liked watching it or not but it was a beautiful story of found family. Grade B (Netflix).
33. Shopping King Louie: Adorable! So many light fluffy feels for this show but it does drag a bit in the second half. Grade B (Viki)
34, Fight For My Way: Such lovable leads. Love the fierce female lead and adorable himbo male lead. It’s like a coming of age story but for 30 year olds. Storyline was ok. Second couple was skippable. Grade: B (Viki)
35. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim: More PSJ is always a good thing. This drama did all the tropes in ways that didn’t always feel fresh, but it was very romantic and hilarious. A true classic. Grade: B (Viki)
36. Touch Your Heart: If you can just stick it out through the first few very shaky episodes, you will enjoy this adorable, fluffy, series. Grade: B- (Netflix)
37. Doom at Your Service: It was sometimes real sad yet ultimately a heart warming mystical story. Grade: B- (Viki)
38. True Beauty: Fun, cute, teen drama however, it’s a little too “antsy teen” for me. Cha Eunwoo though💜 Grade: C+ (Viki)
39. Destined With You: The chemistry between the main couple was absolutely sizzling. Rowoon was both hilarious and next level adorable. However, the plot and the characterization of women occasionally made me very frustrated. Grade: C+ (Netflix).
40. Suspicious Partner: Great story, great characters, attractive actors, beautiful romance, interesting plot, sometimes funny, sometimes suspenseful, but with 40 episodes, the plot was dragged. Grade C+ (Viki)
41. Crash Landing On You: The first half is GREAT but the second half is way too melodramatic for my taste. It’s a very interesting storyline, the main couple has insane chemistry, and there are very lovable side characters. Grade: C+ (Netflix)
42. Secret Romantic Guesthouse: First few episodes were a fun scooby gang mystery, middle episodes were super boring, last 3 episodes were crazy fast paced and thrilling. It ended well- I’ll give it that. Grade: C (Viki)
43. Dear.M: It was inoffensive and decently entertaining. If you like school dramas, you’ll probably enjoy it. Grade: C (Viki).
44. A Good Day To Be A Dog: The storyline is bonkers but very intriguing. It started off so well but the storyline lost its way in the back half. But hey, Cha Eunwoo + dogs, it’s worth the watch. Grade: C (Viki).
45. Angel’s Last Mission: Love: This drama was very similar to Doom At Your Service but it was more a bit more redundant with all of the tragedy and crying. I LOVED the chemistry of the main couple but I found myself fast forwarding a lot. Grade: C- (Viki)
46. Marry My Husband: Episodes 1-11 were phenomenal. Such an interesting premise with shocking twists and turns. After episode 11 it seemed like there were new writers who had never seen the show. Very disappointing but top tier villains. Grade: C-
47. Our Beloved Summer: I LOVED V’s “Christmas Tree” OST however I struggled to keep watching. Boring storyline but great acting. Grade: D+ (Netflix)
48. Heavenly Idol: An absolute hot mess. It was completely convoluted and just low quality but I also weirdly liked it. I can’t bring myself to rank it higher because I know how bad it was but I actually enjoyed it better than many shows I ranked ahead of it. Grade: D+ (Viki)
49. My Secret Romance: The story of a total screw up female lead falling for a manipulative, gaslighting, hottie. It was problematic yet fun? So 🤷‍♀️ Grade: D+ (Netflix)
50. My Man Is Cupid: Pros: many cute dogs, sometimes those dogs wear human clothes, cute ending. Cons: Makes no sense, not much chemistry, murder plot takes up too much time. Grade D+ (Prime).
51. She Would Never Know: As handsome as Rowoon is, I found his character problematic at the beginning (no means no buddy) but he did get a lot better as the show went on. I just ended up skipping to watch just the scenes with the main couple, which made the show way more enjoyable. Grade D (Netflix)
52. My Love From the Star: I found myself fast forwarding a lot through all the parts that didn’t involve the main couple and most of the flashbacks. Grade D (Viki)
53. Goblin: The age gap is too disturbing for me, like call the police disturbing. However, the Grim Reaper who is one of the most adorable characters I’ve ever seen. Grade: D- (Viki)
54. Extra-Ordinary You: I have never felt so betrayed by a second half of a series as I did in this one. All of the character development that it seemed to be leading to was replaced by a pretty sickening codependent relationship. Grade: D- (Viki).
Currently Watching: Wedding Impossible (I think I like it)
Dramas I’m Thinking About Watching: Gaus Electronics, Bad and Crazy, Hospital Playlist, Another Miss Oh, Oh My Venus, My Roommate is Gumiho, She Was Pretty, Crash Course in Romance, Soundtrack #2, Queen of Tears
Dramas I just couldn’t Finish (I’m sorry I tried): Today’s Webtoon, Once Upon a Small Town, Love in Contract, Hotel Del Luna, Kings Affection, Record of Youth, Behind Your Touch, Sparkling Watermelon, Tale of Nine Tailed 1938, Strong Girl Nam Soon, The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract
What are your thoughts on these shows? Do you agree or disagree with my rankings? Any k-romcom recommendations that are not on the list yet?

antics at akademi - peachiime.
akademi highschool is a very prestigious establishment, saved only for the most eloquent and intelligent students. it's the place where budding youths go to be modeled into the perfect member of society, it's the place where dreams come true, it's the place where everything runs as perfectly and as smoothly as you can possibly imagine it. akademi highschool is a utopia.
pfft. you really thought.
akademi fell to shambles long ago, and this year's batch of interesting characters seem dedicated to tearing it to pieces even more, whether they're doing it consciously or not.
these kids are far from normal. every day, there's some new conflict or event or explosion or bird attack. in fact, it's not just the students that add fuel to the ever burning fire, the faculty's wrapped up in it too.
does that intrigue you yet? if so, you might be interested in following the progression of this school year, where you'll watch relationships break and form, people rise and fall, things beyond your wildest imagination happening all in a school building, possible law breaking, and all that stuff.
akademi highschool is way past the description of disorderly.
but it gets better.
want to see?

antics at akademi is a retelling of yandere simulator, with the same setting and characters, but a different genre. it takes on more of a slice of life comedy story, with some elements of drama in there as well.
when published on ao3 and wattpad in the future, every chapter will follow to day-to-day life of the students of akademi for a whole school year, and each day is split into 9 sections to ensure everyone gets screentime. there will also be 9 separate acts of the story, with almost each one having its own themes and messages dedicated to it.
antics at akademi is an entirely separate thing from the game it is inspired by, and is in no way in support of yandere dev; not supporting anything the original may imply, not supporting his actions or ideologies, none of that. i am a very different person and i am telling a very different story from yandere dev.
any questions, comments, or concerns are encouraged. don't feel afraid to submit an ask, and please reblog my posts whenever you can if you want to support this project!
and also note that posts will probably be slow, since there's a lot of information to share and i'm very busy with life right now. in the meantime, there are many other posts about antics at akademi that you can see by checking out the specially made tag for it! (its just antics at akademi again. search it up wink wink)
once again, don't feel afraid to ask any questions, whether they're silly or serious. thank you for reading this far, and i hope you decide to follow the production of antics at akademi! much love <3

i am here asking for your favorite fics (i can tell you have good taste<3) 🫶
hi bella!!! thank you for the ask<33
okay so i read a lot. When i say a lot i mean a lot. The amount of fanfiction i’ve consumed in the last three years is probably unhealthy, but what can i say really? I don’t have much going on in my life🤷🏼‍♀️
so going into this, i contemplated how i should categorise my favourites. Current favs? Fav fics per ship? In the end, i decided to simply compile a list of fics that i still think about weeks and months (if not years) after i first read them. Fics that punched me in the gut, fics that made me question my whole existence. I could probably go on forever with this list but i’ve narrowed it down to 10 to make the job a little bit easier for both me and you hahaha!
In no particular order:

Y'know someone's probably waxed poetic about this already but it's on my mind so I'm gonna do it again.
When it comes to encouraging people to learn about native plants and habitat and involving themselves and their yards in the wider ecosystem, you gotta meet them where they're at.
And maybe that means they won't go as far into it as you are or would like them to in your wildest dreams. But even small steps count towards the bigger picture and I think we need to appreciate that more.
An example from my own life is my mom and the current gardening project we're working on. We're planning out the garden beds in the front of the yard by the mailbox--my mom's previous plantings for the most part haven't worked out, so I'm taking a crack at it.
I'm a pollinator gardening enthusiast who cares more about attracting as many butterflies bees and hummingbirds as possible than keeping things 'neat' and 'tidy'. However, not only do we live in an HOA neighborhood (though not as intense as some other stories I've heard), but I know my mother--an interior designer who has a deeply vested care for making sure the exterior of the house looks as Nice as possible.
We're still getting a pollinator garden in the front though. How? I'm meeting her where she's at, I'm making some concessions, she's making some concessions, but ultimately we're making something that works for the both of us. She doesn't want the plants too tall and messy? We'll trim them back in fall and winter--the insects can use the backyard garden to nest in. She doesn't want things too wild and bushy and weedy? We'll add a nice mulch to the beds, keep things a bit spaced out until they grow in to their larger sizes. She doesn't know the latin names for the plants I'm asking for, let alone how to pronounce them to ask for them at a garden center? That's fine, I don't know the Latin names for most things anyways, let's just use common names.
Does she care that the garden will attract butterflies and hummingbirds? Not intrinsically--she sees it as more of a bonus, if anything. She just cares about what color everything will be and if it'll be easy to maintain. The fact that they're native plants barely registers as a plus side to her. And honestly? That is fine.
If I approached this problem with a hardheaded attitude on how I wanted it to be just as wild and free as my backyard garden? There wouldn't be any native plants in the front beds. It's not like I didn't teach my mom things, but I didn't lecture her like she was lesser just for not knowing or caring as much about native gardening as I do. And that, ultimately, made her more open to the idea than she would've been if I looked down on her like I've seen too many people do to others.
Not everyone is going to develop a deeply seated care about native plants and Latin names and I don't think it's reasonable to expect that. Meet people where they're at and you just might get a lot more done. Meet people where they're at and you just might find they'll get excited enough to learn more--but if they don't want to learn more, that is fine.
We can't expect everyone on the globe to suddenly become plant experts rattling off Latin names left and right and professionally ID'ing native and invasive plants. In the same way we wouldn't expect everyone to suddenly learn the ins and outs of learning code, or how to synthesize medicines, or how to properly build a house. And that is fine. Because we can lean on those who do know when these things come up.
I lost track of where this was going but. Y'know????

So my man what do you think of how bnha act 3 has treated the villains so far?
I think it's going exactly the way the story hinted it would. No surprises there.
In terms of narrative, people should give Horikoshi his flowers. MHA might not be as flashy as other mangas, but Horikoshi keeps it consistent and to the point. I'm glad that he doesn't sacrifice the writing of a plotline in order to create flashier or more action based fights. I'm also glad he's been with the villains' ideologies and their reasons to do what they do.
It's funny, the hero side might be the one who's more surprised with the current outcome of the final showdown. You have moments like Ochako risking it all for Toga, which is a dream come true for villain fans yet might be hard to process for other people. I'm personally satisfied with how the author treated the Enji and Dabi plotline, because in the end it was not Shoto who alone could do a miracle. A bit of a "family issues must be solved by the whole family" opinion, but I'm glad to see Rei, Natsuo and Fuyumi getting involved. They all had the spotlight in a heartwarming moment to stop and help Touya. They all took responsibility for their role in what happened to their family.
So far, so good.
To be honest, my perception is that Horikoshi has great respect for some of his villain characters. He has so far dedicated a lot of the story to Tomura alone, to his connection with Izuku. At least when it comes to the League, sacrifices are not simply plot twists, you know? They held meaning, they're respectful to the character.
I can't say the same for other antagonists and villains, tho. It's understandable, those secondary characters won't receive as much screen time and that's okay. It's just a bit sad to think that some of them have a lot of potential, but the story keeps them backstage. I certainly miss seeing some of the members of the Meta Liberation Army, for example. I loved the implications of corruption of power in the hero society. I miss Lady Nagant too, I can't wait to see her reaction to knowing that AFO is finally dead. Right now I wonder what the hell Horikoshi had planned for Hawks, lol. Every time I think his plotline is getting kickstarted, it runs for a second before stopping again. If he's there it's because there are unfinished businesses with him, maybe we will finally get a resolution on his connection with Toga and his past with Twice, but that's for later.
I have faith in Horikoshi, I guess. He has shown us that he does what the story demands and doesn't change the course of it for the public as much as other mangakas do. That is what movies are for.
I'm sure we'll see Spinner and Compress again, but most of all I'm curious worried about Kurogiri. I insist that the resolution between Kurogiri and Aizawa and Yamada will wreck me. In my wildest dreams I see Kurogiri begin for Tomura's life aka to save him, to give him a chance. I saw Aizawa's face when he heard Kurogiri talk about Tomura. He knew it was not only an order, but also a part of Oboro still alive. Oboro would do anything to help someone in danger, he'd pick any stray cat, give his life for anyone. I'm on the edge of my seat with that trio. Teachers on opposite sides of the war, once friends. Don't even get me going about Yamada and Kurogiri. Whenever I think of Mic and his role in that situation, it's pure torture.
If you ask me, I'm getting what I wanted. Act 3 has been great. It got a little boring for me when the whole focus was fighting AFO (I don't know why, maybe AFO is just not my favorite character to focus on). The rest? Amazing. Beautiful panels and drawing style, emotional instances that reveal the heart of the villains, their determination and dreams were respected, they got treated for once as real humans and not just villains... I'm behaving like a total kid with what is happening with Deku and Tomura in the 415 chapter.
Now, post-battle is another matter. We will cross that bridge when we get there, but they must be all alive and well or I'm ending what the League started and taking this whole world down with me (I'm not exaggerating at all haha why you ask?)

My Old man's tale about benetint (product) & review:
in summer 2008 i was 14 & my best friend's family took me to Vegas w them. she had only just moved to my school for 9th grade & i hadn't met her older sister til this trip. She was 21 & soooo insanely beautiful like if barbie was a hollister model she had the look so refined in every sense, i was dazzled by her.
& she was so sweet to us, my friends parents went & did their own thing so the whole trip we spent with her but she wasn't annoyed about it at all she seemed content to hang w us & protect us from vile men along the strip.
On this trip i went to sephora for the first time. hadn't heard of it before. it had huge windows so everything was glowing from sunlight & it was sooo overwhelming. my friend's sister liked this brand benefit so i picked out a little starter kit that came w bad gal mascara, high beam highlighter, booing concealer, and benetint.. Let me tell you for the next year i cherished this kit like it elevated me a new level towards Prestiged Adult Woman status. but the makeup was noticeably nicer quality for sure! from my memory at least.
the thing i remember most was benetint cus i wore it soooo much for the rest of the summer & beyond, i stretched that tiny bottle as far as it wld go cus i luved it sm.. but after it ran out i never tried to use it again idk just being a teen moving onto the next thing. But lately i jst rly wanted a goood lip tiiiint cus i dont wanna b wearing lipstick or gloss all the time its too much i just want chapstick but i like a little more color too.. usually i wld use lip liner but it always felt like it wld smudge off so quick n its kinda drying.
so i tried benetint again bcus i remember it being so easy to put on n then just forget about, it didnt get on ur clothes or teeth or nothin. after wearing for a couple weeks i can say this is still tru! i rly like it, very convenient, chapstick goes gr8 over top so my lips r never dry from it. its kind of expensive but it lasts a long time , for me i dnt have much makeup rn so felt nice to get st i actually use ^^ the taste & smell of it are mildly rosey, rly brings me back to those times..
being in vegas those 4 days w my friend n her sis are definitely a core memory for me it was totally surreal. i wish i had photos still but no clue where to find them, my friend's fb account got hacked years ago n had to get deleted, so many photos gone </3 we stayed at treasure island & across the street was this huge mall that was repeatedly playing an ipod commercial with the song Shut Up & Let Me Go by the ting-tings, like... ON REPEAT, ALL DAY & ALL NIGHT, so that song gives me the wildest flashbacls like i'm literally There. In the august heat. i can smell it like. its amazing thank you advertising :)
this is not an ad btw i mean obviously LOL i honestly just got thinking so hard about vegas '08 after purchasing The Product. oh yeah there was thunderstorms too... i went to hot topic at the mall which was wild for me since they didnt have one any where near my town.. i got some shorts from hollister i remember, also a rarity. friends sis got me my first ever drink, a peach daquiri...just one <3 it was such a nice break from my woeful home life lol i wanted to live in america so bad after this xD
thats my story...o and benetint is chill i mean i genuinely wanted to recommend it to ppl who want st simple it looks rly pretty cus until this i was struggling to find anything worthwhile. theres other shades too. Yup. Thanksyou for reading my LiveJournal Entry tonight minasan ^_^ Hope you're well x

Joey Drew is Gay and there's no way around it (Pt 2)
In Illusion of Living, Joey claims that he was the one who created Bendy. In reality, Henry was the one who ultimately put pen to paper and created Bendy, Boris and Alice. Again, there's possessiveness over Bendy here, but that isn't all. Remember when I said in the previous part that Joey viewed Bendy as his literal son? So, the funny thing about that is...Henry created Bendy...and from Joey's perspective, his son.
Henry created his son.
And even if that's still a reach, Henry created the entity that was one of the most important things in Joey's life-his muse, messenger, and avenue through which he communicated his stories and ideas to the world. (Basically, his favorite OC.)
Things start off pretty swimmingly in terms of their friendship.
Tumblr media
Joey was the one who got Henry set up working at the bookstore. (Apparently he also found him more complex than he initially thought.)
Things only pick up steam from here. When Joey finally does see Henry's art, he seems to have a strong reaction.
Tumblr media
Joey has a "lightbulb moment" at the sight of Henry's cartoony style. He doesn't stop at the art, though.
Tumblr media
(Joey, did he tackle what was right in front of him, or did you just want him to tackle what was in front of him? Be honest, now.)
Tumblr media
Notice Abby's reaction. She sees how quickly he gravitates towards Henry's art, and the man himself.
Henry also seems stunned to silence by the high praise Joey gives him, which is a fair reaction to being told he might chart the course of the rest of someone's life.
Tumblr media
Notice how Joey can't explain why he had such a sudden fascination with cartoons, he just "felt" it.
Pardon my french, but Abby seems to either be worried that he’s thinking with his dick, or not thinking at all. (Probably both.) Despite Abby's reservations, when Joey keeps his insistence that he wants to get into cartoons, she knows Henry is the man for the job.
Tumblr media
And her intuition about bringing them together as business partners paid off.
Henry co-founded the studio with Joey, and by all surrounding context we're given, Joey seemed to be perfectly content with this setup. That is, until their eventual falling out.
We don't know the nitty gritty specifics of their falling out, but we know a few things. For one, it was brutal, which Nathan helps confirm via footnote.
Tumblr media
Secondly, we know Henry moved to California. That's all the way across the US. Thirdly, we know Henry had a wife, Linda.
So the guy that helped him actualize his dream, created his SON/favorite OC, and was probably his best friend at the time, fell out with him and moved all the way across the country with his wife (and assumedly didn't talk to him again.)
I would find it hard to believe that Joey was solely using Henry similar to what he did with Susie, because there are very curt admissions throughout Illusion of Living that he can't entirely erase Henry from the narrative, as badly as he wants to. Joey couldn't get Henry out of his mind. Of course he didn't treat Henry fairly, and of course Henry had every right to leave. But he had a strong connection to Henry whether he wanted to admit it or not.
There's no proof that he felt romantically about Henry. There is, however, proof that Joey wanted a family, viewed Bendy as his son, admits he still admired Henry after the fallout, and seemed perfectly content living out his wildest dreams with the man who, from his perspective, created HIS SON.
But we're not done yet. See, Henry is FAR from the only man who had a great deal of relevance in Joey's life.

Can i ask what / how was it poorly organised? Sorry it left you feeling like that :/
I hope you know what you’ve gotten yourself into 😂
It started with just how to get into the venue… google maps told us it was a 20 minute walk but the entrance was so hard to find, with no signs or anybody pointing you in the right direction, that it took us at least 45 min.
We got there after the initial queues had passed, but still fairly early. (The second act was playing when we entered the grounds.)
There were 2 food trucks for (depending on the source) 20-30k people. Two trucks. And two bars that sold only soft drinks and beer. You could buy water at specific places just for that. One merch stand. 12 hammocks that they labeled “chill out area”.
They had talked about having vegan food options etc, but when we arrived there were already several things that were crossed off the menu. We stood in line for 45 min to get some food and when my girlfriend asked if they had anything vegetarian they offered her “onions, some peppers and lettuce in some bread.”
There was a separate line for fries, but the fries were sold at a drinks station so they just told us to cross over and get them since we’d already been in line for almost an hour at that point. Then somebody yelled at us for cutting the line lol
I got a chicken “sandwich” that was literally just a piece of fried chicken and two dry pieces of bread. No condiments, no lettuce, not even a slice of tomato.
So we paid €20 for some watermelon, fries, and a “chicken sandwich” that was so bad I almost cried.
There were a total of 2 trash bins on site I think and they were buried under mounds of rubbish so I’m not sure if there were actual bins or if people just decided for a communal spot.
As far as I know they were pretty good about handing out water and such in the afternoon, though the “free water” they advertised outside of the crowd at the stage wasn’t marked and pretty hard to find.
Before the show started, during “DJ” Carl Baracat or whatever his name was (he literally played the wildest mix of a playlist I’ve ever heard in my life. No mixing or anything. It was weird.)… I realised the heat was getting to me and I was feeling very thirsty so I asked for water from security and they told us they weren’t handing out any water until Louis got on stage. Essentially the message was “I’ll wait until you faint, even though you have time to access your needs right now and you won’t be able to once the main reason you’re all here is on stage”. I did get water half an hour later, during the second song or so.
After Louis’ set it was pretty quick to clear out and we were lucky enough to stay directly in Camaoire but @chaotic-bells has a story to tell about transport back to other towns nearby I think…
Maybe it comes from having worked in event management before, maybe it’s just my general virgo-ness and personality, but there were so many things that would’ve been so easy to solve on part of the venue and security and the organisers that I was just genuinely appalled at the lack of care.
So… I love Louis. I’m glad I was there for this and I got to see my friends. I’m glad I got to see the Blossoms live! They were awesome. The people were genuinely really nice! Louis was amazing as always. We got to hear Paradise and I know @fadeintolight lost her mind about that 😅 I got to hang out with @chickenstuffedwithmozzarella for the first time and it was awesome 🥰
I got to be at the beach with my girlfriend before the festival and then kiss her surrounded by lights. We got to leave our gay message for Louis. All is well in the end.

So, the Mew thing
Spoilers: he’s fine
Mew by far is the character people theorize the most about. And while for other characters theories lay more in a “why he is the way he is” field with Mew we have a bit different narrative. Summarizing - there is something deeply wrong with him. And while I do love the theories - they are always fun to read - and will never criticize people for making them, I cannot stop thinking about why. What in Mew makes people feel so uncomfortable?
I’ll start from observing some points and then make my conclusions. It’s gonna be a really long one.
Mew and Sand as “normal ones”. From the very beginning these two were commonly read as being pretty normal compare to others. And it makes sense - they both seems way more self-conscious, well-communicated and generally adequate dudes who trapped in the middle of chaos. They are very different but share some similarities in their approach to life. But while with Sand we are quite comfortable - he is this way and it’s fine - with Mew we have some struggles. The wildest take on Sand is him being baseball bat psycho and even with that most people see him having some anger management issues. Mew is, well. He is manipulator. He is mastermind behind every shit happens in the show. He is unpredictable. He is dangerous. We don’t trust him.
Very different approach to characters from the same field, isn’t it?
Tumblr media
The “unreliable narrator” trope. The first episode uses the voiceover as a narration device so we meet our main characters (except for Nick) through Mew’s perspective. He is the one calling names, he is our introduction to everyone (except for Nick), including himself. Then the story shifts to more “objective” perspective - we are shown, not told, so we can make our own consumptions based on characters behavior. But the episode starts and ends with Mew. And that fact makes a lot of people to assume him being unreliable narrator. And, well, he is. So as Ray in episode 4, where we see the same device used the same way.
They are both unreliable. But that doesn’t mean they are intentionally lying to us, or lying at all - that means that they are subjective by their nature (they are, you know, humans). The unreliable narrator trope is widely used in media and can take different forms depending on genre and storyteller intentions. And while it technically is a possibility that Mew is a madman or liar, I would argue that it wouldn’t work in such narrative. Only Friends is not a detective or thriller, it’s a story about 20-something years old boys navigating their lives. Please go read this post if you haven't yet, it explains everything well.
But the thing is, such as with Sand not being questioned by most people, Ray is not too (and that’s good, really, no complaints about it). We believe him - we see him struggling, of course, and we have no reason thinking that something isn’t clear about his story. But why don’t we trust Mew the same way?
And I know that Ray’s story takes place in the past while Mew’s is in present, but we see Mew’s story such as we see Ray’s - we are here watching how it’s actively happening.
We don’t know a lot about Mew. Yes, true. His past and his motivations are unclear, and that gives us a space for interpretation as well as a sense of distrust - while we can assume things about him, we don’t know the truth yet. But we also don’t know anything about Sand. Or Nick. Or Boston. We do know some parts of Top history and partially explored Ray’s, and that’s all by now.
But with any other character it doesn’t bother us as much as with Mew. And, again, why? Is there no reasonable explanations for him being the way he is? Or is the most reasonable explanation - that he is pretty normal a bit fucked up guy who makes some questionable decisions - feels boring? I wouldn’t say so. Again, we are fine with the same type of explanation for Sand.
And now we arrived to the most interesting point that I call
The “he’s not that simple” thing. That statement stands out as the beginning of so many Mew theories. And the thing I honestly don’t understand is: at what point of the story Mew was presented as “simple”? We meet him in episode 1, he is the first person we know, and the show gives us a lot of information about him during that one episode.
He is smart enough. He’s observant type of person but he is also very outspoken. He knows his boundaries and he’s great at setting them. He is quiet, but not shy. He is calm, but not humble. He is also hypocritical and a bit arrogant. He is confident in himself and - am I forgetting something?
Ah, yes. He is a virgin. And I do think that’s what all of that about.
The audience being Boston. For legal reasons: please, don’t speak on me with this one, I truly believe most people aren’t Bostons, it’s a metaphor. It’s fascinating how in the show that was so criticized about being too sexual the vast majority of interest is prone to one character’s virginity. The big problem for some people is not Mew being just a virgin but him being a virgin by choice. He has no problems with it. He is comfortable being a virgin. While other characters - Top, Boston, Cheum - are invested in his virginity, I would say, even more than Mew himself. Top sees it as some prize or whatever. Cheum pushes Mew to “lose it”. Boston has a lot of difficult feelings about it - from supremacy to irritation. He doesn’t understand how Mew can be fine with it. And the audience, well, the audience kind of doing the same thing. I like to call it the “confident virgin” dissonance.
The whole “he’s not that innocent” argument is exactly the thing Boston successfully used with Top.
Tumblr media
Top buys it due to his insecurities, sure. But also due to his biases. He believes Mew being a virgin but he’s very quick to question it. And so as audience.
After episode 3 I said I don’t want to see the video Boston took - I want to know the Mew and Ray story from their perspective, not Boston’s. And while I was glad the show did exactly that, I saw a lot of discussions about the video. Even after we saw a kiss, after Mew told Top and us how it ended, after Mew said he and Ray didn’t have sex - it’s still not enough. The audience don’t trust him.
But why it’s easier to believe that Mew is some devious manipulator than that he is a confident virgin? Why he is not allowed be simply comfortable with his sexuality and physicality while being inexperienced? Why is it such a problem that the writer of the show has to address this issue to the audience?
Tumblr media
Well, I have a theory.
Virginity and slutshaming. There are some amazing points written about slutshaming and how easility we fall for judging characters (read as: Boston and Top) for being sluts (read as: having active sex life with number of partners) here and here. People tend to judge others for their too active or “morally wrong”sex life (non-monogamous, kinky, not vanilla etc). And the same way people tend to question those who don’t have a sex life at all. Virginity is something you should hide, something you want to get rid of as soon as opportunity comes. It’s okay if you are virgin but you for sure need to try hard and fix this problem, you know? Especially in the show like this - celebrating and normalizing sex - what’s up with Mew not jumping on it from the start? Too much sex as not enough sex are basically two ends of the same spectrum. Everything what’s not in the middle feels weird and uncomfortable.
And I think, the show wants us to be uncomfortable with Mew being virgin the same way it tricks us into judging Top being fuckboy. It constantly plays with realistic characters framed by our stereotypical expectations. It challenges us to overcome our personal biases. And it does a great job on that.
Because while we already know Mew isn’t perfect, him being flawed it still not good enough. He is judgemental, he has some control issues, he uses (absent of)sex as manipulation device and those things are working great with what we know about him so far. But there must be something more, something deeply, almost villainously wrong with him, isn’t it? Otherwise we have to do work on ourselves and that’s not the most pleasant thing to do.

Taylor’s use of 7 is Haylor, including seven: a thesis
Buckle up, friends. Ever since hearing the seven poem aloud on the Eras tour—with its explicit link to Wildest Dreams—it confirmed my long-held suspicion that *seven* is Haylor.
Some data:
- all track 7s post Red seem to be Haylor
- 7 is Harry’s number (added to hers you get 20, hence all the references to 20)
- seven is track 7 on folklore, the album Taylor released on 1D’s 10th anniversary. What? Harry had released Fine Line on her previous bday (#30, Dec 13/19) and she’d missed his Feb 1st day already.
But bestie, you might ask, how is it possible? Let me explain, drawing from details of the song.
We know that Anne and Des Styles divorce when Harry is 7. Anne has primary custody of H and Gemma in Holmes Chapel, but they remain close to Des whom they see on weekends.
But then, there is a period in their lives that no one knows much about and no one speaks about. Even this gem (which I am currently citing) - a 1D origin story has very little.
Tumblr media
Harry has another stepdad whose last name is Cox (which was Anne’s name during 1D X factor time). His name was John. They family move to Great Budworth in the Cheshire countryside where Anne is landlady in a pub (and Harry talks fondly of ice cream runs and first girlfriends).
But then when H is around 12, Anne and the kids are back in Holmes Chapel. Anne eventually dates and gets serious with Harry’s beloved, now late stepdad Robin Twist. And Harry sometimes mentions his overwhelming desire to protect his Mom and Gemma at all costs.
No one ever mentions this guy. Ever.
Fast forward a few years to the magical December of 2012. After work commitments, Harry and Taylor spent 4 or 5 days in the north of England. They stay with Anne, and they Christmas bake and go on double dates with Gemma and her then boyfriend, and grocery shop and hang out with his friends. He takes her to the Lakes, where she’s dreamed of going.
It’s her 23rd birthday and be showers her with surprises and 23 thoughtful gifts (she’s not writing The Moment I Knew on his watch!). He gets her food from his childhood fave Chinese place and the bakery where he worked! He is showing her his life. It’s documented here…
Including their visit to a pub in Great Budworth and a drive around the area.
We have no idea what happened, but maybe Taylor does?
Taylor never got to take him to Pine Tree farm in rural PA, as far as we know. But in the depths of the pandemic, when no one could go anywhere, she paints him a picture of her PA childhood.
And in it, we find a fictionalized friend who has a difficult and maybe scary father figure. One from whom Taylor wishes she could save and protect her friend, despite crossing her heart and promising not to tell.
What a gift, to affirm the struggle this child went through, and to show her care and desire to *be with them in it*.
She wanted to scoop him up and take him away from the closet tears to play pirates and “run away to India”. What kid in rural PA wishes to go there? Come on! 😭😭😭
And then, here are the lyrics she pens:
“Passed on like folk songs, the love lasts so long”
“And just like a folk song, our love will be passed on…”
And most significantly - *love you to the moon and to Saturn* 🌙🪐 !!!!!
She wasn’t kidding in Gold Rush - “my mind turns your life into folklore, I can’t bear to dream about you any more.”

Hey lovely! Dropping the prompt in the ask box for you! I’m so excited you wanted to join!
“may my heart
be the softest place you fall,
may this love
be the wildest place you run”
I’m stoked to see which clone boy vibes this the most for you! 💕
Thank you!!! This bit I had from an AU is what came to mind when I read this quote. I hope I get across why.
This took me longer than I intended because I kind of pieced together some notes I had for an AU that I had in my WIP list so far down it probably was never going to see the light of day.
Fives x Reader (Female) Warnings: Mention of pregnancy. Implication of Order 66. Notes: Clones speak Mando'a. There is more lore to this AU, but not much story yet.

Your boots pounded against the pavement as you ran. Baby strapped to your front, toddler to your back, older younglings clinging to both of your hands.  The galaxy screaming with pain and sadness, and an echoing emptiness where millions once were. Friends disappeared behind a shroud of darkness, others gone to the force.
Run, as you prayed to the force the infant remained asleep. That the toddler remains silent, that the older ones could keep running. It was like a nightmare, a living nightmare.
Not a nightmare, a dream. It shifted, you had a destination. You were running towards him, strong hands and a reassuring smile amid the madness. As your reality fell to pieces, a steady confidence.
Then he was there, stepping out of the shadows. Hands up in surrender, pulling a hood down that disguised a tattoo and his origins. “I can help get you somewhere safe, we can protect you,” he said.
He swung one youngling on his back and scooped the other up in his strong arms. You were faster now, lighter, as you followed his footsteps through the winding undercity.
You blinked awake. The rising  sun streamed through the curtains onto his peaceful, sleeping face. You lay still for a moment, enjoying the quiet sounds of the morning, watching him as he slept.
Love came easily and quickly.  Life had not been so easy.  Getting everyone smuggled off world, gathering and then dividing into colonies, disappearing into wild space. Building lives and communities.
“How long are you going to stare at me?” Fives asked in his sleep rough voice without opening his eyes.
“Until I can’t anymore,” you answer him, as you always had. You trace a finger over the scar that crossed the tip of his nose. The scar he had gotten when Dag, then a toddler, had bitten him upon meeting him.
He scrunched his nose and kissed the offending fingertip. He leaned in and gave you a gentle kiss, rubbing your belly gently as he blinked his eyes open.
“Good morning, ner Riduur” fives grinned.
“Mmm, I’m thinking you like this a bit too much” you answer, snuggling closer.
“How much is too much?” He asked.
You didn’t have a chance to answer because, like a war cry, a small voice shouted “Buir!!!”. A small sturdy child vaulted towards Fives, who caught the flying child.
“Watch out,” he said, “you don’t want to squish ik'aad, verd’ika,”
“Sorry!” she said sweetly, as if she hadn’t shrieked a minute before. She squirms between you and pats your belly. “Good morning vod’ika,”
Fives grins at you, “See, verd’ika likes it too.” The infant jedi and ARC trooper had bonded from the day he helped them escape four years ago.
“I get to be ori’vod,” she grins.
“You’ll always be someone’s vod’ika,” he tousles her hair.
“Ba'vodu Rex calls Buir vod’ika,” you point out, poking her belly. She giggled and hid against Fives. “So where are your ori’vode?”
“Dag is sleeping, the others went with bavodu’e Wrecker and Tech to the range,”she said with a pout. “They said I was too little to go,”
“With Tech and Wrecker to the range? They are either blowing something up or trying a new weapon. They’re right, Verd’ika, you have to be bigger for that kind of adventure,” Fives told the little girl. “How about after morning chores we go see Echo and he can help you work on capture the flag strategies?”
“Can we?” she asked.
“Well before morning chores… we have to?” he asked.
“Eat breakfast!” she sang out.
“Before breakfast,” Fives said.
“Get dressed?” she asked.
“After you get dressed,”
“Morning meditation,” she sighed. “More fun when Ba'vodu Obi Wan is here,”
“Obi Wan and Cody are out searching for more Vode and Jetiise, you know that,” you remind her.
“When am I going to be big enough to wear armor and have a lightsaber and help them?”she asked.
“When you are MUCH older,” Fives said, “Just because your bavodu’e and I had to grow up fast, doesn’t mean you have to.”
“You do need to do your practice so you are ready to,” you remind her.
“Okay!” She jumped out of the bed and dashed off.
Laughing, he pulled you close and held you for a few more minutes before getting up for the day.

Styling in My Mahabharat
I am a person with wild dreams. And one of my wildest dreams is making my own Magnum Opus on Mahabharat, which focuses specifically on Abhimanyu & Uttara. The story is being written by me, and I am doing my best for all of it. Styling, is something that I am focusing on, as it makes me happy.
I am not the biggest fan of the clothing in Star Plus Mahabharat because:
The clothing was too simple. Only the borders had designs.
The clothing was repeated a bit too much, where was the variety?
The jewelry clearly seemed...phony. Rich n royal=/= heavy gold tbh.
So, I watched some styling videos of many period films, and here I am, with my ideas!
First of all, we need to incorporate materials like silk, cotton and muslin. These three should be the primary, and the difference b/w the three can clearly show a difference in hierarchy. Muslin can be shown to be worn during the night/summers.
We have Banarasi and Kanjivaram sarees, we have Bandhni and Patola prints, we have zari work. I would def include these in the costumes.
For jewelries, simple, but designs from various parts of the country will look good. One or two heavy necklaces are enough, IMO, to show the grandeur of the era. Plus other jewelries like hair ornaments, earrings, bangles, armbands and kamarbandhas are here.
Different designs of armor for the men are a must, probably modelled after what Arjun wore in Star Plus Mahabharat. His armor suited his body type, and looked very good on his figure, over all.
Hairstyles have to include flower ornaments like gajra. They are not worn on "wedding nights" pls, how do these ppl find flowery stuff romantic when someone else is wearing it?!
And now, I shall style my main characters, Abhimanyu and Uttara. If this is successful, I shall do the others too-
Abhimanyu
This is gonna be pretty short. What are the main things for styling a male?
I imagine Abhimanyu with long hair, not too long, but till his neck. Not completely straight, slightly wavy.
One thing I love about StarBharat is the tilaks they have done, for the Kuru men, with the moon and other designs. I will keep that one for sure.
Since Abhimanyu has lived majority of his life in Dwarka, some traditional prints/jewelry designs of Gujarat/Maharashtra will be a great inclusion.
As for ornaments, nothing particular is necessary, except two bracelets, one neckpiece, and two earrings. My headcanon has Abhimanyu wearing an armband, and a single ring.
And colors...hmm, purple is a good option, as that color is associated with royalty. The color blue is a great choice, since it symbolizes freedom and sensitivity, as well as faith and stability. Red is a must, as it is associated with bravery, and dark red means vigor, willpower, and rage. Abhimanyu is canonically short tempered, his name means "extremely wrathful". And red is associated with sacrifice as well, so it is def his color.
As I am going to show Abhimanyu be 21, his headpiece in the armor from StarBharat goes away, as it gives him a boy-ish look. Without it, however, changes his look completely, and I don't want anything in his outfit making him seem boy-ish.
Uttara
Uttara's details in my mind are far different from what is shown in StarBharat. I have kept the same cast as they look cute together in my story, yes, and I hate Uttara's styling.
Her clothing is exquisite, just like her mother's. Matsya is canonically rich, and her maternal side is from Kekaya, what do you expect? Uttara's clothes are flowy, to allow easy movements.
The material of the fabric will be silk, with Kanjivaram, Zari and Banarasi type of embroideries on them. I am showing Matsyadesa to have a riverine trade route, so she should have access to all types of fabrics. Some traditional Rajasthani prints have to be there too.
Jewelry is not too much, but well made and designed. Uttara is interested in dressing up, and it is obvious that she shall have a large collection of ornaments.
The colors shall be pink, as it symbolizes innocence and softness, off white and yellow, which symbolize purity and joy respectively, and blues, lemons and greens as well. Her color scheme rarely has dark shades, as it is symbolic.
Her hairstyles range from a braid, to a bun and a bun with a braid coming out of it (kind of like the typical dance hairstyle).
Sindoor is a must, and there are no veils here. Uttara does own various mini-chudamani style ornaments, which she wears from time to time. Blouses are strapless mostly, some times some of them have straps.
