I'm bored, so I'm going to sort some characters from my science fantasy series.

The younger sister: Bird Primary, Snake Secondary - Ends up in our dimension or a version of it after her sister saves her. After recieving some culture shocks and being lucky enough to be found by people who take her in, she adapts to this world. (She's only twelve when she comes here.) She's always searching for truth and wants things to make sense, which ties into her eventual career as a physicist. I'm leaning towards Snake sec for her since for plot reasons she has to find ways around or not telling the truth about her origins. She is also used to having to read people or a room and adjusting accordingly. Has Bird and Badger sec models she built for her parental figures and for achieving her goals.

Older sister - Snake Bird who burns after she thinks she killed her sister and unburns as she starts to recover from some of her trauma/alcoholism and realizes she didn't kill her sister.

Younger sister's daughter - Lion Primary, Unknown Secondary. She burns as a child due to having clairvoyant abilities and not knowing why she knows things or getting in trouble for knowing things she shouldn't.

Younger sister's husband - Lion Primary, Badger Secondary. I think Lion Primary because when he feels like something is wrong, it's wrong and he's not changing his mind. Badger Sec because he will grind as long as he needs to and invests a lot of time in caretaking and in his community. His twin brother is a Lion Bird who works for the CIA and wishes his twin would also put his clairvoyant abilities to use like he does.

Pantheons - Zeus and the Ruling Family

A surprise Pantheons update! Featuring Zeus and his Olympians (specifically his wife and his brothers).

The theme for this year is Outremer's neighbours, and since Outremer is the biggest faction is the setting, they also share the most neighbours in the Milky Way Galaxy! The first faction of focus is Zeus and his Olympians.

Zeus is the king of the Olympian gods and the leader of the Greek Pantheon. When he was younger, he was much more impulsive and egotistical, more akin to the Zeus of popular perception of the old stories on Earth. Then he warred with Lucifer and his Angels three times and lost all of them.

After a bit of soul searching and some advice and listening to that advice from his family, he decided to try and be a better person, and try to mend strained relationships with his family, though if people needs a reminder he's STILL the law of the land, he's more than willing to show it!

If there's a problem that stumps him and his wife Hera, there's always good ol' reliable Athena to look to!

Hera is Queen of the Gods and Goddess of Marriage and Family. Much like Zeus, she's a much different goddess than the one who made Hercules' life miserable centuries ago. She know tries to use her position as a way to mend in-family conflicts AND those of her subjects.

It doesn't matter if a family is by blood, or found or from community, each one can appeal to Hera for help.

Poseidon is the god of the Sea and of Earthquakes. Big, Strong and Imposing, he feels like he's the only serious one in the family, now that everyone seems to be changing. He's the local curmudgeon who doesn't seem to like that the world around him is changing.

The gods are acting more like mortals in both personality and words. Perseus hooked up with MEDUSA of all people!

Hades is the god of the underworld, and doesn't talk or visits much, as he typically prefers to stay home, a subdimension that's part of a much larger extradimensional realm accessed only by death entities.

Despite this, he's very much enjoying the change he's seeing in his family, and feels more comfortable hanging out. If only Poseidon wasn't such a curmudgeon.

Low-gravity kiss

I've been wanting to do some cute ship art with these two for AGES but just hadn't gotten around to it until now. Dose it count as ship art if they're my own OC's? probably not but meh, I don't care and I think they're cute lol

Unrelated but this is the first time I've drawn Xari's space legs since my prosthetist helped me redesign them. He follows me on Instagram and I find it incredibly funny that this will be the first artwork he sees with them lmao

more alien fashion- this time, from my original planet Kha-El (or Kha II, of the Kha system). modeling is my character Yuros, a member of the dominant species.

Members of this race experience the change in seasons through the changing of their own skin and hair. Over the course of a local planetary year (over twice as long as terran years), they shift from the lightest shade on the left, to the darkest on the right, and back again. For some kha-elians the process can be quite grueling at times, as more rapid shifts in color may result in heavy shedding or molting.

The rest of the planet shifts color, too. Everything from the flora and fauna, to the dirt, sands & muds they walk on will shift color as the weather changes, thoroughly embedding color into their culture.

The most popular fashion on kha-el usually involves some kind of iridescent or otherwise color-shifting fabric (see image). Solid color, with no texture, sheen, or shifting property, is often seen as quite sterile.

This proud race of people has a rich history of vibrant colors and powerful emotions. Like many races, they were once far more militaristic and conflict-driven. Since their warlike days, they’ve evolved to value personal dignity, respect for others & healthy competition.

Socially, it’s popular to bond over small tests of skill, wit, dignity, and endurance. In some occasions, simply entering one’s space can be considered a challenge- and will surely be met with enthusiasm. It’s equally popular for people to take bets on these contests, therein participating in the bonding themselves.

This combination of a violent past and a modern culture of respectful competition are reflected in their high fashion today- with many garbs and gowns including a built-in personal-space-bubble. They serve as both a proud statement of boundaries, encouraging respectful distance from others, and as an elegant (if not impractical) accessory.

i have much more to say about this race- particularly in their anatomy, skills, and culture. (note to self- expand on how militaristic past reflects in current culture) for now, have this!

in meta, i was inspired a lot by the filaments of flowers like lilies. theyre so bold and dramatic and alien, but dainty and elegant all the same.

the floral inspirations are pretty obvious in the coloring of the first one, what with it looking like pale petals.

the coloring of the second one was inspired by that swampy rain color, and the pattern by drops of dew on spiderwebs.

third one was inspired by…. the epic movie from 2013. and also the cups they serve moscow mules in. they can’t all be insightful, i guess.
