To other sex-repulsed people: Please understand that your repulsion towards sex is your own issue to deal with. Understand that sex is important to a lot of people (you don't have to understand why, just simply that it is), and understand that it's not okay to treat sex as a bad thing simply because it exists and you're repulsed towards it.

It's completely fine to vent about your friend talking in great depth about their sex life when it repulses you (and maybe tell them that it makes you uncomfortable and you don't want to hear about it) or for any reason for that matter, but don't talk about how much you hate sex in front of the people who find it a positive thing because you'll just end up being seen as someone who kills the fun. It doesn't seem fair, I know, but there are lots of places you can talk about this without upsetting people who enjoy it.

And to non-sex-repulsed people: Please understand that we need a space to air our repulsion to sex. If anything we say isn't directly aimed towards you specifically and it upsets you, then maybe consider that this space just isn't for you. Not everyone has the same positive feelings towards sex that you do, and we have just as much right to talk about how we dislike sex as you have to talk about how much you like sex.

And everyone needs to understand that it's possible to have negative feelings about sex —and to talk about these feelings— without it automatically being sex negativity.

“Home” for the wip ask thing?

ohh I saw this word and immediately knew which fic it would be from and that it would be painful. anyway this is from a fic currently titled wave goodbye with your dead man's hand, which is a backstory fic for my oc Avery, who I'm going to play in my friend's Supernatural-inspired monster of the week campaign

“Elijah?” The light flicks on. Avery pauses with one hand on the kitchen back door and bows his head with a sigh. When he turns, he sees Marcus framed in the doorway between the kitchen and the hallway, arms crossed and frowning. The light above the stove reads 1:47 AM. God damn it all. He should’ve known he couldn’t sneak back out; even as silent as he was coming back downstairs, dad would’ve heard him come home an hour ago, would’ve heard the shower running. The living room was dark, but the TV was on. Avery heard it. The nightly news had been talking about that house catching fire on the edge of town. They’ve already found evidence of cult activity, but not the fire’s origin. Arson is a likely cause, though.

the tldr for this is that Avery is the (co)host of a system, but at this point he hadn't fronted for almost a year and a half. in the meantime, his headmate and co-host Abraham has graduated high school, gotten a full-time job to save up for college, and also fucked around and found out. aka Abraham is very interested in everything supernatural and true crime and ended up discovering a cult operating out of his hometown. and when the police didn't believe his evidence, he took matters into his own hands, because sometimes he forgets that he's human and not even 20. and now here Avery is, dealing with the consequences of his actions

See my dilemma is that my brain started this system to cope with some god-awful shit, and now over the years has taken to continuing it out of habit

Hi!

Welcome to our blog! We've been meaning to do a pinned post for a while now, but we just haven't been able to get around to it. Anyways, this just talks about us a little bit and explains what this blog is.

🌟LGBTQ+ exclusionist(whether this be against ace/aro, mogai, multispec gays/lesbians, etc. etc.) will be blocked. Even if we may not identify with some of these, this is VERY MUCH a safe place for those that do.🌟

🌟I do still consider non-traumagenic systems as fellow systems, but I do not think a system can form without trauma. I want to specify that because other people fake-claiming endo systems which I don't agree with.🌟

Anyways, some things about us! We're a nuerodivergent system with around 80-100 members. We're bodily an adult and collectively go by They/Them(singular) pronouns. On this blog, we mostly just reblog stuff about OSDDID info and positivity, some syscourse(we keep it to a minimum), and occasionally we'll post(personal tag is 🌟Haven Tunes🌟). But! We also have a main blog where we rb stuff we find cool and occasional fandom stuff(Crit Role, Mass Effect, etc.) You can find us there at @dumbasses-in-a-trenchcoat.
