Splinter assumes Leo is dead, and so the boys just grew up assuming the same. Although Leo was hardly one when he went missing, they still honour him like a fallen family member. And the boys talk to his shrine when they feel sad or alone. (Or if they get in trouble, they just say 'Leo' told them to do it)
i made my own peepaw so ig he’s part of the multiverse now 🤣 he learned his lesson the hard way-

Thinking about writing a “time travel” fic where after the events of rdr1 John doesn’t die but instead wakes up on the cliff side of colter after being mauled by wolves. He has a chance to fix things, to save people to save himself for his family. But most importantly he gets to coddle and adore a 4 year old Jack because “oh my god my boy is so small I can’t believe I didn’t appreciate him at this time”
I never quite finished these two cards the first time i tried making a PJO major arcana and I never posted them. I really like the designs though so I’ll probably try to do something similar when I draft them again
stop. Piper mentions the story of the flood the Cherokee version in mark of Athena and in it there’s a dog that tells its owner to sacrifice it and save himself and his family. And the dog says it’s okay because he’s already dead. Piper wonders if she’s the dog. But knowing what happens to Jason and Leo… one of them had to die since from toa we know Leo coming back to life didn’t actually finish the prophecy … meaning Jason was the dead dog. [incoherent screaming] [insert the dog web weaving here]
i like to think that bruce is as bad about physical affection as he is with verbal affection so the kids have to take it upon themselves. cass is a total cuddlebug and just grabs him when she wants to snuggle, dick is always drapeing himself over bruce's shoulders, jason likes to use him as a foot rest, damian tends to lean against him, duke will just randomly punch him in the arm or tap him while walking by, stephanie will squeeze into his chair when she wants to show him something on her phone, barbara grabs his hand when they're talking, and tim just. sits on the floor against his shins. for some reason.
vote tltc uncle jello in the @rottmntpeepawpolls and yes, you heard donnie right, we’ll get to hashtag drop a new banger called bad future timeline remade in the form of a side quest (chapter 7)
Splinter made the shrine when he first realised Leo was missing. At first it was just what he could scrounge up to make a semi decent shrine. Then over the years they found nicer things to use. And eventually the boys started contributing more to the shrine as well, things they think Leo would like.
They talk to the shrine when they are lonely, or need someone to talk to, or if they had a good day and want to tell someone. They all miss him. Even though they never knew him. They feel like they are missing a part of them. Because they are.
