It seems a few people liked my last Shadows of Almia post, so I decided to make one of those “My ship in 5 minutes” things for y’all!
If you have any questions, or want any clarification or explanation on any of what’s on here, just let me know!
I don’t know if there’s any ship names for these three out there already, but I personally like to call them either Team Vatonage (but I know Kate/Keith is already called Vatonage, so that doesn’t work perfectly), or simply “I have two hands” lol
Jemma Redgrave and the Multiverse of lesbians at Barn Pride 2022
I had time at the airport to fiddle but I really need to call it a day on this one. I might fix things later but for now I need to close this chapter so I can focus on other art and fics 😁 In spite of all the pixelation and line art vector issues, I’ve had so much fun drawing this!
Apparently none of the websites I use like the fact that I drew it on a 4K canvas though 😭😭😭 so much pixelation 😭😭😭 you can’t even see their heart eyes 😭
You can find the best version of the whole picture here otherwise imma have to just show you in person cause the internet hates me
As always please don’t share without permission or show/ send it to the actors ❤️
Here have some Kate Kane pride icons, feel free to use them.
(Yes, I know she's lesbian. The background is reference to the user's sexuality not hers. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, I just don't want someone trying to start something over it.)
Chasemarsh Monday fanfic recommendation: Alice and Kat by @the-sword-lesbian
Summary: Victoria Chase meets a mysterious, beautiful woman at a masquerade party. And she can't stop thinking about her.
My take: TheSwordLesbian makes her long awaited return in enticing fashion, this time featuring an older, wiser and more world-weary Victoria who encounters a “mysterious” love interest who definitely knows exactly what she wants. The way Kate– err– Alice keeps Victoria on the back foot is a fantastic role reversal, and their chemistry just sizzles off the screen! I’m very excited to see how this all plays out.
Note: Please feel free to pass along any Chasemarsh fics you feel should be recommended in the future! Replies, asks, or PMs are all fine!
This was gonna be just a basic sketch (hence the eyes and noses and hands not being that great) but then I got attached and now here we are with this mess of a drawing lol, I just love them so much, they ARE dating and no one can convince me otherwise

"Transphobes believe women are inferior to men in general"
TizzyEnt gives a great explanation of how the International Chess Federation's ban of transgender women proves that such anti-trans policies are not about protecting women.
In the video he quotes Kate Montogomerie, who writes:
"In banning trans women from chess the insane anti-trans lobby has fully revealed their hand. They don't just believe that sex is a non-material immutable binary, they also think that women are intellectually inferior. Which is what we've been saying they believe from the start. ...
"To a transphobe there is a supernatural order. Men first, women second. Women are inferior in body and mind. And that cannot be changed, no matter what physical or social changes one undergoes. Because if it could be changed then that hierarchy falls apart. It threatens order."

Again, that notion of family is so necessary or we are bone-lonely and suicidal if we’re that lonesome. And what helped, what always helped, was a word for family – tranny was one, and now we’re not allowed to say it. Another was, for a long time, transgender. But now – no, because there was a transgender tipping point, people in popular culture are examining the word transgender for those who made the tipping and those are binary-identified trans people. Trans men, trans women – there are men and there are women, great. But now that’s . . . they own the word transgender. What’s really great about this tipping point is that people acknowledge that it has nothing to do with genitalia or hormones . . . what genitals you have as a man or a woman, not important. What hormones you’re on as a man or woman, not important. It’s a matter of individual preference and ability to go forward in that. But what it’s done has taken another family word away from us – transgender. When we were starting to use it in the 1980s, well Virginia Prince coined the term. She was a cross dresser who wanted to live full time as a woman without hormones or surgery so she called herself transgender and we stole the word from her for which we never got forgiven – me and Jamison Green and Lou Sullivan and Les Feinberg. We started using transgender as anybody who fucks with gender – your family. So no matter the fights and the struggles, look – we’re all transgender together. Now that word has now shifted to a family term of trans and that still, to some degree, leaves out people who are non-binary or gender queer. Without invisibilizing those folks, I think trans . . . I say those folks, I mean me, trans includes, for the time being, non-binary and gender queer. So the degree we police our own language and say, “You get out of here, that’s my word,” we have to be careful that we’re not destroying family relationships, that we are chosen family. I would just caution going down that path and policing words like that.

Jemma Redgrave and the multiverse of lesbians pride art update
@toomanyissues I saw your comment on one of my old asks earlier and thought I’d use it as an opportunity to do an update. This is the work in progress art the ask was referencing.
I’d welcome suggestions for Bernie’s jumper colour. ATM Berena is over here looking like Cosmo and Wanda. I’ve even considered giving her a flag cape just to cover the jumper😅
An Alberta doctor says Premier Danielle Smith will struggle to attract trans specialists to the province if her other policies restricting health-care options for trans youth are made law.
Dr. Kate Greenaway, a trans health-care specialist and medical director of the Foria Clinic, is part of a growing number of medical professionals calling on the UCP to scrap the proposed legislation.
Greenaway said restricting health care for trans and non-binary youth will create a "culture of fear and discrimination" that will act as a barrier to attracting specialists or even keeping the few that already practise here.
