Confidence
What does it take to just be
Do I sit like this, do I look like that
What does it take to just be
From the cuts on my wrist to my backwards cap
What does it take to just be
Do I ball up my fists, do I have to fight back
What does it take to just be
From the marks on my hips to imperfections and fat
What does it take to just be
Do I walk in the trap just to get my face slapped
What does it take to just be
From my eyes now bruised black and the cuts on my back
What does it take to just be
Do I have to react just to stop the attacks
What does it take to just be
Me?

This was one of the initial posts on my Substack. 🙈
It's difficult to discuss topics that have been taboo for so long.
People have been made to feel crazy for some of the things I experience.
But what's understood doesn't need to be explained, right?
So, I started writing on Substack to share with others in the hopes to broaden the understanding and acceptance of the Spiritual and/or 'invisible' world - that is very much active around us.
This post is a poem inspired by the whispers I hear.

Square One
Time for a reset
Who will push the button first
Can't know what's next
Just trust the Universe
Close your eyes
Open your heart
Freedom commencing
At the restart.

Thank You Love
Sometimes life sends us people who don't love us enough, to remind us what we're worthy of.

Generated
Face in the dirt once again.
As life peels back the layers of my skin.
Secrets that hide deep within.
Relative to those I call kin.
Wounds to the core that run deep.
Memories forever haunt my sleep.
Pray to the Lord my Soul to keep.
Within the ether I weep.
