Ahhhh the job I thought i didn’t get bc they never got back to me after my interview (which I thought went really well) just reached out to me bc apparently the person they tried to hire backed out.,.. and now its gonna be like another month of wondering if I’m gonna have to decide if I want to move to another state where I don’t know anyone. And i was kind of relieved when i never heard back bc I’m really happy here with my family and gf and friends but the fact is my job here is a contract with very slim hopes of developing into a real job with benefits and i live with my parents bc i love them and our house and our town but i know i have to seriously consider this opportunity bc it would be a good career move and i want to live a rich and interesting life. But I don’t want to talk about it with anyone irl because my dad has covid which has been my number 1 fear since the start of the pandemic (he’s 71 and immunocompromised but he’s doing well and not needed the hospital) and I just want to be able to only worry about that I can’t even talk about the job thing which i drove myself and everyone around me crazy with already back in October. Which is why I’m just posting it vjfdhk I’m being tormented by forces beyond my control i feel like this is the sort of thing it would be really helpful to believe in God about
#like people who say He has a plan which i guess is comforting but his plans are so inscrutable they may as well be random. but some people#think he wants the best for us??? which seems so unlikely to me I can’t even try to believe it#anyways i think my dad willbe fine but I’m worried about long term health issues which would make it really really hard to move away bc my#mom is already basically disabled. and i want the house I want it so bad but I can’t afford to buy it from them bc our neighborhood has#gotten sooo much more expensive then it was when they moved here in the 80s and i know they’re planning on selling it to fund their#retirement. but i love it here so much I want to live here forever and die here but its not realistic and maybe it would be easier if i#moved away and put down roots somewhere else and then it will be less painful when they sell the house and less painful when they die#i just want things ro stay likethis forever I’ve#spent so much time these past few years walking around this neighborhood its like the veins in my arms i can live other places i have for#years but they never get this deep im so scared for the futuy#future but there’s absolutely nothing i can do to stop it. except kill myself i guess but it’s#not nearly at that point yet ckgdf it would make a lot of people very upset. it is sort of comforting to remember though i have that option.#god i hope they don’t offer me the job I’m a wreck just thinking about it#i really haven’t made any special efforts to reach out to them or anything. obv I wasn’t their first choice i have no idea if I’m their#second. i think they really liked me but I’m guessing im younger and less experienced than other candidates#hi if ur reading this btw its me a stranger on the internet and you know something my closest friends and family don’t know. congrats#I’ll talk to someone in a few days when my dad is feeling better. really hope my mom doesn’t get sick too she’s been coughing a bit but#testing negative. idc if i get covid i actually hope i get it bc that will prove I didn’t give it to my dad asymptotically#that’s not a secret i toldmy mom she was like jesus Christ don’t think like that

hhey, I accidentally came across your channel and read everything that was there, it's too good. could you write a story about how Yuji grows up? how he starts fighting with opponents or something like that :D?
I suck at writing fighting I’m sorry 😭 I’m terrible honestly so I did it in a different way I apologize in advance 🥺🤍
Tumblr media
Yuji growing up UNDER SUKUNA IS CRAZY because 1 Ryomen’s cursed presence is so strong that Yuji’s cursed energy happened to be tied up all cute and pretty with a little cursed energy ribbon made of Sukuna’s cursed energy.
The integration of the two led Yuji to be able to use Malevolent Shrine
🥹 Made his daddy proud the day the three of you were outside and someone tried to ambush your little family, Yuji’s eyes widened seeing his dad calmly bring his hands together “Domain Expansion, Malevolent Shrine.”
The world flashed before Yuji’s eyes with the sound of a bell and drip. It was after that moment when everything was clear little ⅘ year old Yuji pushed his hands together mimicking his father trying to be cool “Domain expansion! Malevolent Shrine!”
Neither you nor Sukuna expected it to work, until it did-
There was Sukuna protecting you from Yuji’s unstable barely registering domain. After everything was said and done. The two of you couldn’t help but look at each other. “Did… did he” Sukuna let you go, Yuji..”
Yuji ran at his dad with the biggest smile, screaming “did you see that!? Did you!? Did you!?” When Sukuna picked him up, throwing him up into the air, “I did! We need to talk about your little domain.”
That’s where he started his training under his father because he knew no one else could train him as well as he could. It evolved to Yuji being able to use his own energy in fighting. It was the cutest thing seeing your son's little fist while he punched away at some poor little punching bag with his father there mocking him to get him angry to put more curse behind his hits.
“Aw, this sack of sand too much for you brat? Move- I’ll show you how to really put some curse behind it.”
Yuji watched how his dad pinned the punching sack to post and took a fighting stance, in his eyes he could see the red cursed energy glowing skeins his fathers fists and when he struck it was over. The post and sack were nothing, “I WANNA DO THAT!”
It was a beautiful and cursed sight, Ryomen Yuji, (the name changes based on how my brain works I’m sorry 🥹) , he had softer features, but he had developed similar markings to his father. The only thing keeping him from being his father was the vast size difference. He had even taken to using a robe similar to his dads older style.
Ryomen Yuji wasn’t a tyrant, but if he turned out, he very much could be just a cruel man as his father.
Especially when Jujutsu Sorcerer started to trail after him thinking if they could kill the son the father would bend.
They laid corrected in their own pools of blood.
His first solo fight was when he had turned 15 and he asked if he could go to the town to gay a few things of his own. You were weary feeling something was bound to happen, Sukuna pulled you into his side assuring you there is no doubt in his mind Yuji would be able to take care of himself, he would know, he trained him for the last eleven years.
So you let him leave, he was surrounded not too soon before reaching the village, “IT'S RYOMEN SUKUNA!”
His eyes were quick to move around the group “FOOL THAT'S NOT RYOMEN SUKUNA THAT'S-… even better, Ryomen Sukuna may be a monster but even then this boy looks well enough to know someone has to give a damn about him, we need to restrict him.”
There was Yuji imbuing his cursed energy into his fists, it was a scene to watch how he could punch through a man's chest like silk tofu. How easily he could take a man’s head in his hand digging his fingers into their back around their spine to separate them entirely.
He was ágile, being attacked from both sides by men with cursed tools. Blades on chains, swinging in opposing directions grazing his chest and back as he turned to doing his best to avoid them, he took one chain wrapping it around his hand and turning his back to that man pulling the chain I’ve this shoulder sending the man flying into the air. He turned facing the second who was still running at him catching him by taking his face in his hand and crushing his face in , taking the 2nd man’s blade he spun the chain around before slinging the blade at the falling sorcerer piercing his skull leaving him to fall dead to the ground. He carried on with brute force until another wave of Sorcerer's came, he was huffing but he was thrilled, every year of training, every technique and day spent bleeding, fighting and pouring every ounce of energy and raw brute strength and cursed energy.
“Domain Expansion” it felt like time froze, “Malevolent Shrine.”
Yuji’s domain wasn’t as vast as his fathers, but was equally intimidating. There he stood on the pile of skulls in front of the shrine, hands pressed together, “You will see true power.”
It felt like the domain shook when he uttered the simple word “..cleave…” It was a sure hit taking out every living being in the area.
—- —- —- —-
But of course, like father, like son. When Sukuna was going to leave you to go tend to “business” Yuji begged to go, leaving you home with Anya and for a girls week which turned to a girls month.
During this month your boys had learned one thing in battle, they could merge their domains in a way no one else would ever be able to.
Sukuna had heard rumours of some prestigious clan that wanted his head, and if its head they wanted, he decided he’d personally deliver it personally into their city and into their pathetic little lives. Why wait for the fight to come to his home and put his little family at risk when he could go to the fight and strike while the steel is hot and brittle.
That was until Yuji started to beg to go, no matter how many times Sukuna would tell him no he would persist he go with his father. Finally after talking to you, and even when you didn’t want to let him go, Yuji begged and begged using his little puppy eyed beg you caved and said if either of them came back hurt or didn’t come back at all you would remarry and forget about both of them. It was a bluff but the jealousy was enough to make Sukuna squint at you before whacking Yuji on the back of his head lightly, “Let’s go brat, the sooner we get this done the sooner we come back home and your mother won’t roll in her grave.”
Still Sukuna pulled you into him by your waist and kissed you making Anya and Yuji exaggeratedly “eewww” before he left.
They warped quickly now that Sukuna was in a snappy mood, “pfft, remarry, that woman couldn’t find a man worth one of my- oh?”
It was as if the invasion was anticipated, Sukuna used a lower arm to push Yuji behind him, “Stand back brat, I said you could come, I never said you could fight.” It was an instant, every archer and swordsmen surrounding the two had either been cleaved or lit a light. ”Now we’re really going to have some fun.”
Yuji trailed after his father watching how he barreled through everything and everyone with no regard, his actions were quick and precise. He made their way straight to the centre of the shinden-zukuri with ease. Yuji was astounded, his father would always make minimal movement with maximum damage, but this was different, he was just showing off. They were surrounded and the room was suffocating with the large amounts or pressure from cursed energy flowing. He backed up to Sukuna, and they stood back to back, Yuji was ready to fight, Sukuna was amused and having the time of his life, he would win and there was no doubt in his mind. The two fought in a way that reminded Sukuna of the day you fought by his side. A side of you not even his children would ever know. They danced in circles, taking life after life until they were forced closer, as if they had the same unspoken idea both of them expanded their domain not letting the other know.
The world shook in the wake of the combined domain, the humans witnessing the ethereal domain would die without fail.
The shrines combined to make a full size Sanmon gate, strikingly similar to the former shrine. The only difference was that Sukuna stood there like the god Vishnu, Two hands holding his domain symbol just above Yuji’s height level, the other two holding his tools up and on display, Yuji was a step below him with hands in the matching domain form. The two shared a single brain cell in that moment, “Malevolent Temple.”
It had no barrier, it turned into an open space, the hits were guaranteed. In the end when every living thing in the vicinity was reduced to nothing and the domain closed, it came to show even the former shinden-zukuri has been reduced to dust on the ground.
What he would’ve stretched over days of fun they had completed in mere seconds. But now that his eyes had been opened to this new found power he was intrigued and needed to know more.
This led to Sukuna dragging Yuji around with him to test the limits of their new found glory for weeks until he finally allowed Yuji to return home. You weren’t frantic when they returned because Uraume had calmed your beating heart once a week with the messenger birds you had begged him to take along. But you were scared because Sukuna did not slip into bed as he usually would, instead he scooped you up, threw you over his shoulder and brought you outside with him, “Let’s go woman.” Was all you heard as you were shaken awake and met with the morning's cold air, “kuna, love, I’m so tired.”
You felt Sukuna land a smack on your rump, “Just five minutes and I’ll carry you back.” You did your best to look back at him and you caught him looking back at you with a smug smile, “fine.”
He sat you on the steps to your home, where you saw Yuji, he had that look of excitement, his eyes were gleaming the way they would as a child when he’d see his father use a new technique.
“Mom! Mom! You’re going to love this!” You smiled as Sukuna rubbed his thumb over the back of your hand letting it slip from his hold as he made his way back to Yuji.

AMITA for lying to everyone I know about my identity’s as a queer/neurodivergent person?
I (18M) am a bisexual, transgender man who is also autistic, ADHD, and OCD. When people hear this about me, even if they know me, I feel like they build up this image of me as an awkward, “cringy” 11 year old who’s obsessed with “cringy” fandoms. And while i have a qualm with this because I know they are looking down on people who are just less masked/higher support needs, I also dislike that they do this because it’s just not who I am. Without the labels, I mostly seem like just a normal dude, if not a bit nerdy.
I also used to be extremely bullied as a kid (7-12) to the point of a suicide attempt, mostly due to homophobic, transphobic, or ablest remarks about me. Since then I’ve completely changed community’s and do not talk to anyone i knew before high school.
When authority figures (Teachers, Show Directors, Investors of the teen programs I lead) apply ablest/transphobic stereotypes or prejudices to me, they also tend to be less,,, normal? around me. Less kind compared to other kids, call me an “inspiration”, or they’ll coddle me when I’m incredibly capable. I do a lot for someone my age- and I know the connections I make now at conferences and whatnot will help me in the long run. My dad’s family is poor, and my immediate family is more comfortable but not that much. I know I’m smart, and I can weaponize that to get a better life for my family by getting good scholarships and jobs in good fields. I can’t just let people who could be very important to my goals look down on me. So i just.. don’t tell them anything about me. They might assume Im odd or “not normal”, and for the most part I let them assume whatever, but if i’m ever asked directly about anything I deny it. Especially in relation to me being transgender; I have the very privileged ability to pass without any medical intervention, and I use that to pretend to be cisgender. Living in the deep south of USAmerica, most of who I am could make my social life very uncomfortable to downright miserable.
Here’s where the problem starts happening. when my social and (what i consider to be a) “professional” life occasionally touch, I wouldn’t be able to be out everywhere socially without someone I don’t want knowing finding out. So i don’t tell any of my classmates/friends/peers about any of my identities either. I hang out with queer and straight people, never be actively homophobic/ablest, and will be very vague about the two questions i’ve ever received about any of that stuff. It’s very, very exhausting to pretend all the time, every day, especially pretending that I’m cisgender because it’s a tricky game, but I can’t really back down and I’m afraid that I might get bullied again if I was ever open about it with classmates.
A few months ago, I was dating this guy, who i’ll call Kai (17M) Kai is also a transgender man, but does not pass at all and is comfortable with it. He’ll get shit sometimes, but also has essentially no straight friends. I told him I was queer when we became good friends, and then told him I was trans after we started dating. I also told him why I lie about being cishet or neurotypical, and while he didn’t seem happy he didn’t push it at first. I told him that I understood if he didn’t want to be in a secret relationship, but because of where we live and what I want to do I wasn’t comfortable with being out again. He said he still wanted to date me, and claimed he would support me, and we had a pretty good relationship overall.
A month after that, he started bringing it up again. He told me that I was more than my identity, and if people didn’t see me for who I am instead of stereotypes, it isn’t worth talking to them at all. And while I agree with the sentiment, it’d never be possible to just not hear someone if they were harassing me, and while I truely dislike a lot of the authority figures that I engage with, they are in the professional fields I’m interested in, and I’m incredibly lucky for getting where I am so early. Kai also said that since I am well known in our very small school (only 300 kids), being out could be a positive influence on what people think about autistic people or trans people. In a particularly heated fight, he even said I was doing a disservice or betrayal to my community by not representing or being proud of being apart of them publicly.
We broke up pretty soon after, but I think about what he said a lot. I know that I wouldn’t be the only out person at my school, and that my school is actually a lot better compared to most local schools, which are a lot larger and… dramatic, but I just don’t think I could be out without going back to how I used to be mentally. And Kai was right about how I could be a good influence on some of the meaner classmates- I do think some of my peers who I ingenuinely connect with might reconsider their prejudices if they knew I was transgender.
I’m intentionally choosing not to take the opportunity to do better. It wouldn’t ruin ALL my relationships with the authority figures I consider to be important holding, since it would just be my school, It might dampen one or two of them. Plus, I’m lying to pretty much everyone who knows me. They build relationships with a false idea of me, and I feel like an asshole sometimes because I’m not honest.
TLDR: I’m a transgender, autistic guy in a very bigoted community. Everybody thinks i’m cishet and neurotypical. AMITA for not being proud of who I am because of potential social losses, and AMITA for lying to people and giving friends/peers false ideas about who I am even if they would not be friends with me if they knew?
What are these acronyms?

Title: I’ll Be Proud For You - Quinn Hughes x ofc
Author: Tory / @tkwrites
Relationship: Quinn Hughes x Sarah Roberts (OFC)
Summary: When an opportunity for Quinn to meet her uncle arrives, Sarah jumps at the chance, and they attend a St. Patrick's Day party at her uncle's house on Salt Spring Island. On the ferry ride back home, Sarah finally explains why she had to be close to family after her mothers death, necessitating her move to Vancouver.
Warnings: Mentions of depression, grief, and meeting new family. Talks of suicidal thoughts and suicidal ideation. No attempts or methods are described or discussed.
Word Count: 5,600
Comments: I’ve been working on this fic for a long time. In many ways, it's extremely self-indulgent. I loved writing the banter between Sarah and her uncle Travis, and it was very healing for me to write about Sarah’s experiences after her mothers death.
Sarah’s experiences are very similar to the experiences I had after losing my father. My dad died three years ago in September, and I have not experienced any kind of suicidal ideation for over a year and a half. While I was in the thick of it, it felt like I was always going to be stuck in that darkness. The other side of that chasm is so beautiful and so worth the work it took to get here.
I was very lucky that I already had a therapist who could refer me to a specialist and friends and family who cared very deeply about me and my mental well-being. Seeing a psychiatrist to get on medication was one of the best decisions I ever made.
If you are having or have thoughts like these in the future, please, please talk to a friend and a professional to get help. The world is such a better place with you in it. xx
I’ll Be Proud For You
A Quinn & Sarah Snapshot
Sarah grabbed Quinn's wrist as he walked toward the kitchen. “Do you have plans for St. Patrick's Day?”
“I think Garly's having a party. Why?”
“My uncle Travis always hosts a dinner party since we’re Irish, and I wondered if you wanted to come with me.”
“Sure.”
A smile took over her whole face, and he was instantly glad he agreed.
Internally, though, his heart was racing. Her uncle was the closest family she had nearby. When she first moved to the city, she'd lived with him for a year. She still went to his house at least two Sundays a month. Quinn knew they were close.
At least he had three days to mentally prepare.
“It’s a bit of a drive - they live on Saltspring, so we have to take the ferry.”
“Just means I get to spend more time with you,” he said with a shrug. “Plus, I like it over there.”
Her smile got bigger, and he swore his knees got a little weak. God, what wouldn’t he do for that smile?
“Is there anything I should do to prepare?” he asked, sitting next to her.
“Just wear something green. And don't wear anything that says 'Kiss me, I'm Irish' unless you actually want to be kissed.”
“Wouldn't mind being kissed by you,” he said with a wink.
Laughing, she leaned over and obliged.
He instantly wished they weren't at the dining room table so he could lay her out and kiss her like he meant it.
A few minutes later, the nagging feeling of neglecting her studying won out, and Sarah pulled away. “I'm sorry,” she said, pulling her bottom lip into her mouth, “I really need to finish this. Give me thirty minutes?”
“Then you're mine for the night?”
She nodded.
“Okay.” He kissed her forehead and wandered to the kitchen to make dinner.
As she left school for the aquarium the next day, Sarah called her uncle Travis.
“Hey, Sar, how are you doing?”
“Good. How are you, Trav?”
“Great. Samson started crawling on Tuesday.”
“What? No.”
“Yep.”
“I refuse to believe he’s crawling already.”
“I know. It’s the worst. What’s up?”
“I just wanted to let you know I'm bringing someone with me on Sunday.”
“One of your roommates?”
“No, someone I'm seeing.”
He actually seemed to choke on whatever he was drinking and coughed a few times before asking, “I'm sorry, what?”
“We've been going out for a while, and I want him to meet everyone.”
“How long is a while?”
“Two and a half months.”
“And you were going to tell us when?”
“I was waiting to see how serious it would be.”
“And it's serious?”
“I think it’s headed that way. I want to see what you think of him.”
“What's his name?”
“Quinn.”
“How did you meet?”
“At the aquarium,” she said,  “he asked me out to lunch, and we've been dating ever since.”
“He lives in the city?”
“Yeah.”
“Is there anything I should know about him?”
“Just that I really like him. Please promise you won't embarrass me.”
“No can do. That's what uncles are for, but I can promise I won't pull out your baby pictures.”
“You don't even have my baby pictures.”
“Precisely. Otherwise, I probably would.”
Rolling her eyes, she asked what she could bring to dinner. After deciding she would bring the soda bread and butter, they hung up, and she sent the plan to Quinn.
Great. When should I pick you up?
I'm driving, so I'll come get you.
You have a car?
Technically, it's my uncles, but I haven't driven in forever, so I’m calling transportation on this one.
He laughed. Tocc canceled practice tomorrow so we can leave whenever.
I'll pick you up at 1 then?
What time is dinner?
5, but the drive over is 2 and a half hours, and I like to be there a little early to help out.
“Why does your uncle keep a car here?” Quinn asked as he buckled his seatbelt.
“I have parking included with my apartment, so it just made sense. I drop it off at the Ferry terminal once or twice a month for Trev when he has to come to the mainland for work.”
“I didn’t know that. Let me know next time and I’ll give you a ride home.”
She shot a grateful smile at him before looking back to the road.
It was a strange thing for Quinn to be a passenger. He was usually the one driving, and rarely got the chance to watch her for such a long period of time uninterrupted.
He was taken with her. With the constellation of freckles on her cheeks and the button of her nose, and the round swell of her bottom lip. He wondered if anyone would notice if they just made out on the ferry ride over. She didn’t have tinted windows. Probably not the best idea.
She was wearing the same green dress she’d worn when Brady came to town. It still looked beautiful and soft, and he still couldn’t stop the fantasies of stripping it off her from clouding his mind.
“How was your morning?”
“Fine.” he scrubbed his hands over his face, “It’s nice to have a day off.”
“I bet,” she said, reaching over to entwine her fingers with his.
They held hands until they hit traffic and she had to get back to the gear shift.
He’d never driven a manual transmission, and he was impressed by her seamless shifting, despite the fact that she was a bit of a terrifying driver. He found himself reaching for the door handle more than once as she weaved in and out of traffic and went a little too fast for his liking.
“How was your day?” he asked to distract himself.
“Good. I did some reading and finished up some assignments I’d put off from earlier in the week.”
“I didn’t know you were capable of putting things off,” he teased.
She snorted and threw him a sarcastic look.
“You’re so organized, I didn’t think you could.”
Quinn had seen her planner once. It was the size of a college notebook with a column for every day of the week. Each of her classes was assigned a different color, and every day was an organized riot: hours blocked for class, work, assignments, tests, and readings to be completed. He didn’t know how she got it all done. He was exhausted just reading it. Then, he’d smiled when he realized he was there. She had all his games and their plans and dates written in sparkly blue ink.
“I still miss things. Sunday is my catchup day,” she explained. “Usually, I sleep in and do my homework on the ferry over and back, but I wanted to have it done early so I could spend the time with you.”
“It would have been okay,” he said.
The smile she gave him made his heart patter against his lungs. That, along with a stop so sudden, the seatbelt engaged to snap him back, made it a little hard to breathe.
“Thank you, but I would rather spend this time with you.”
His heart warmed at the gesture, and her willingness to give up her one morning to sleep in to spend time with him.
Once on the ferry, they stayed in the car and talked instead of going up on deck. He told her about practice and trying to push aside his nerves about making the playoffs, “Everyone keeps talking about it like it’s a guarantee.”
“Well, you are second in the league.”
“Yeah, but so much could change. I don’t want to get my hopes up, and the media asks about it practically every day. I’m getting so tired of telling them, ‘that’s what we’re aiming for, and we have a group that can get there.’” He threw his voice into a self-depricating, exaggerated version of itself.
Despite her attempt to stifle it down, a giggle spilled out of her mouth. “I think they’re probably asking because it’s going to happen.”
“We don’t know that. Demmer’s out, and we haven’t been doing great…” he trailed off.
“You’re still first in the Pacific by almost 10 points, Quinn. Can’t you celebrate that for a minute?”
He sighed, “it’s just… so much can change in a month, and I don’t want to be the guy who talks about how good it will be to play in the playoffs only to have his team not make it. I’d be a laughing stock on the internet for the rest of time and a lesson to all other captains to not jinx it.”
“I’d never considered it that way.”
He made a noise of ascent in his throat.
“You can celebrate it with me, though, right?” she asked, lacing their fingers together.
Quinn wanted to agree, he really did, but the superstitious part of his mind went to war against it. The result was a kind of half-hearted grimace.
Laughter burst from her. “Fine, fine. You don’t have to talk about it. I’ll just be proud for you,” she said, bringing his hand to her mouth so she could kiss his knuckles.
His stomach did a jerking little jig, and a real smile spread over his face.
Eventually, their conversation turned to her uncle.
“Trav is a sound engineer, and he toured with Brooks & Dunn for a long time. He moved to Vancouver because he said it’s the most beautiful city he’s been to.”
“I would agree with that,” Quinn said.
“Now he stays at home with their kids. Trevor is a copyright lawyer.”
“Oh, your uncle’s gay,” he said with a spark of understanding.
“Is that a problem?” Sarah asked, raising her brows.
“No, of course not. I was just confused. You mentioned Trav and Trev, and I wasn’t sure if I was hearing his name wrong or what.”
When they pulled off the ferry, Sarah turned onto a small two lane road, running away from town. It didn’t look like anything was out here except forest and pebble beaches.
Sarah had an incredible inherent sense of direction - the kind he had to rely on his phone GPS for - so he knew they weren’t lost, but he couldn’t see anything that looked remotely like civilization.
When they turned onto a small driveway tucked right into the woods, drove up a hill, and pulled in front of a home that looked more like a cabin than a house, Quinn wasn’t too shocked.
“What a view,” he said as they got out of the car.
Despite the drizzly weather, the horizon was still stunning. The gray blue water of the Salish Sea seemed to melt into the rolling, gray clouds, making them indistinguishable except where pine covered islands rose out of the water, vibrantly green against all the neutral colors. The city skyline cut a dark, jagged edge across the water. If the commute wasn’t so long, he would live out here, too.
“I know, right?” she said, picking up a tote bag and taking his hand to lead him up to the front door.
“Hey Trav,” she said, embracing him as soon as the door was opened. “Trav, this is Quinn. Quinn, this is my uncle Travis,” she introduced when they broke apart
Other than the fact that he had her same bright blue eyes, her uncle didn’t look anything like he’d expected. Quinn had braced himself to meet a middle-aged man who was around his dads age. Instead, Travis looked no more than ten years older than Sarah. The oldest looking thing about him was his gray hair, which was casually swept back in that effortless way Quinn’s hair could never quite manage. He wore jeans and a green band t-shirt without socks or shoes. His toenails and fingernails were painted various shades of green.
“It's nice to meet you, sir,” Quinn said as they shook hands. If he wasn’t so used to seeing it, he would have missed the way Travis’s eyes widened slightly in recognition.
“Just call me Travis,” he said with a snort, trying to cover his shock. “No one has ever called me, sir in my life. Come on in.”
Trying to catch her eye as they passed, Travis wondered how, when he’d asked if there was anything he should know about this guy she was bringing, Sarah didn’t think the fact that he was Quinn Hughes was something he ought to know. She didn’t notice, and he dropped it before Quinn did.
“Beara!” a little girl yelled as she ran toward them. “Beara! Beara!”  She had curly pigtails, each tied with a green bow that flopped as she ran.
“Sawyer!” Sarah caught her before they collided, picking her up and swinging her around. “I missed you,” she said, pulling the little girl against her chest.
Putting her hands on Sarah’s cheeks, she said, “missed you more.”
When she noticed Quinn, she turned her face away from him and put her thumb in her mouth, suddenly shy.
“Sawyer, this is my friend, Quinn,” she said, turning so they could make eye contact.
“Hi, Sawyer,” he said. “I like your ribbons.”
She smiled around her thumb at him. She had those same bright blue eyes, though they were slightly wider than Travis or Sarah’s.
“What do you say to that?” her father coached gently.
“Thank you.” she didn’t take her thumb out of her mouth when she said it, so it was a little garbled, but he got the idea.
Sarah set her down, and she ran back to the kitchen, squealing when Travis chased her down the hallway.
“Beara?” Quinn asked, humor in his eyes as she took his hand, following after them.
“My whole life, my nickname has been Sar Bear. When she was younger, Sawyer had a hard time saying her S’s, so she started calling me Beara instead of Sarah, and it just kind of stuck.”
He snorted, “oh god, the guys are going to have a heyday with that.”
“With what?”
“You know how they call me Huggy Bear sometimes?”
She nodded.
“Huggy Bear and Sar Bear?” He snorted, “I mean, come on.”
The house, while rustic on the outside, was homey on the inside. Neutral gray walls and a modern, light kitchen. It seemed the whole back half of the house was made of glass, giving a perfect view into the misty forest. It was beautiful, but Quinn wasn’t sure he’d want to be here at night to see what came out of those woods.
Sarah was laughing as she entered the kitchen, hand in hand with Quinn. The shock of Quinn Hughes being in his house, of Quinn Hughes dating his niece, who had always been more of a little sister to him, still had him reeling.
Even through that startling revelation, Travis wasn’t sure if he’d ever seen her so relaxed and happy since her parents died. The protective part of him held himself back from reading too much into it. The last thing Sarah needed in her life was more heartache.
“Quinn, this is my uncle Trevor.”
“It’s nice to meet you. I’d shake your hand, but I’m a little busy,” he said, gesturing to the meat he was fishing out of a marinade. “I hope you like beef stew.”
“Sounds great.”
“And this,” Sarah picked a pudgy little boy up from his high chair, “is Samson.”
Quinn held a hand out to the little boy, who wrapped his tiny fingers around one of Quinn’s as he smiled and babbled. Samson looked more like Trevor. He had dark curly hair, dark eyes, and smooth olive skin. Quinn wondered if each of them had fathered an embryo for a surrogate.
“Can I get you a beer?” Travis asked.
“Sure.”
“We only have Guinness today.”
“I wouldn’t expect anything else. It’s the Irish way, right?”
Laughing, he handed the can off to Quinn before turning to Sarah. “Hey, can you help me find the barley?”
He knew he was being obvious as he pulled her into the pantry, but he hoped this was a little less obvious than pulling her back into the living room would be. At least he had an excuse for her help this way.
As he shut the door behind them, he heard Quinn ask, “is there anything I can help with?”
Travis clicked the light on. They were standing nearly chest to chest in the tiny room, baby Samson squished between them. He didn’t seem to mind as he continued to babble, reaching out for the brightly colored packages.
“You didn’t tell me you were dating Quinn Hughes!” he hissed.
“You know who he is?”
“Everyone in this entire province knows who Quinn Hughes is, Sarah.”
“I didn’t when we met.”
“That doesn’t surprise me.”
“Why not?” If she didn’t have a baby in her arms, she would have folded them over her chest.
“You’re too busy learning stuff to pay attention to things like that. He was all over the news for three weeks when they put him in as Captain this fall. Plus, you only care about football.”
“I do not. Well, not anymore, at least,” she said, catching Samson’s hand before he could pull a box of pasta off the shelf. “Anyway, why does it matter that he’s Quinn Hughes?”
“He’s - I mean,” Travis blew a harsh breath out of his nose. “When you said you met at the aquarium, I thought he was some guy who works there, not the captain of the fucking Vancouver Canucks!”
“He's just a guy, Trav. He just happens to play hockey for a living.”
His mouth opened and closed as he seemed to realize he couldn't argue against that point. “He’s a pro athlete, Sarah.”
“So?”
“So, they’re gone all the time, and the money fucks with their heads and pretty soon they’re all cheating on their partners.”
One of her eyebrows arched up, “do you only watch reality TV, or do you sometimes deviate to Lifetime?”
Despite himself, he laughed. “I just mean,” he paused, glancing down at his green fingernails. Sawyer had insisted on painting them and pulled out every shade of green polish in the house, determined to use them all. “I don’t want you to get hurt. He treats you well?”
“Yes. Very well. I wouldn’t keep dating him or bring him to meet you if he didn’t. He's actually the best guy I've ever dated,” she added.
Travis's eyebrows shot into his gray hairline.
“Just spend some time with him. You'll see. He’s really thoughtful and nice.”
“Okay, but I’m having a talk with him by the end of the night.”
“No.”
“Listen, I just need to make sure he’s good enough for you.”
“Don’t you think that’s something I can decide for myself?”
“I’m just going to have a chat with him, man to man. You’re the one that wanted to know what I think of him,” he said. “It's happening whether you like it or not. I'm just letting you know.”
She rolled her eyes. “Fine, but don’t embarrass me. And none of that asking for permission bullshit. I'm not a possession.”
“Dont insult me,” Travis chided, smiling, loving seeing pieces of his oldest sister in Sarah. He was glad Becky had instilled those same, strong feminist values in her children. “Of course he doesn't need permission. I just care about you.”
“Thanks, Trav,” she said, touched.
He pulled her into a hug, smooshing Samson between them more. He let out a tiny grunt.
“Here, take your baby,” she said, handing him off and grabbing a box of cookies as an alibi as she left.
If Quinn thought anything was suspicious, he didn't let on, continuing to chop the lettuce Trevor had set him to preparing.
“Teddy Graham?” Sarah asked, offering the box as she stood next to him at the long island.
“Sure.”
“Hey Sar, we were thinking about coming into the city for your birthday. I have to be in that day for a few meetings, so Trav was going to bring the kids on the ferry. Do you think that would work? We thought we could take you to dinner.” Trevor said, looking up from braising the beef.
“Yeah, I would like that,” she said with a big smile.
As he walked back into the kitchen, Travis caught Quinn’s wide-eyed expression.
“When’s your birthday?” he asked, tipping the lettuce into a bowl.
“On April third.”
He gulped. It was a gesture Travis immediately recognized as a man grappling for a purchase with new information.
Quinn pulled out his phone and quietly breathed, “we’re in Arizona that day.”
“I know,” Sarah said with a smile that tried but didn’t totally succeed in covering her disappointment.
Something about it made Travis’ hackles rise. Quinn wasn't actively hurting her, but his lifestyle was.
Quinn saved her birthday in her contact card and put his phone back in his pocket. “I guess we’ll celebrate when I get back.”
“That would be nice,” she said with a smile that was genuine this time.
Travis got her a can of Guiness, and she wrinkled her nose. “Can I have whiskey?”
“You hate whiskey.”
“I’d rather it than this tar,” she said, pushing the can back to him. “At least whiskey can be mixed into something palatable.”
“Here here,” Trevor said, laughing.
Travis mimed pulling a knife out of his chest. “You’ve insulted our ancestors, Sarah.”
“Listen, the Irish invented a lot of really great things: boycotts, modern chemistry, the stethoscope, the submarine,” she said, counting them off on her fingers.
Quinn gave her a surprised look.
“I did a presentation on Irish inventions in high school,” she explained, flipping her hands, “the point is, is that their alcohol is not one of them.”
Travis laughed, taking the can for himself. “You want a ginger highball then?”
She beamed, “I think you know the answer to that.”
“What is that?” Quinn asked.
“It’s whiskey and ginger ale. It’s delicious.”

Before other guests arrived, Travis asked Quinn if he'd like to see the vintage shelby Mustang he was restoring.
Quinn agreed and gulped when Trevor asked if Sarah could help him find Sawyer. This was one of those talks. He shoved his hands in his pockets and followed her uncle out to the garage.
“Listen,” Travis said after they admired the beautiful white car, “Sarah isn't my daughter, but she means a hell of a lot to me, and I want to make sure she’s not going to get hurt. She’s gone through enough heartache already.”
Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Quinn licked his lips before responding, “the last thing I want is to cause her more pain. I know she’s been through too much. I don’t know that I can guarantee she’ll never get hurt, but I can say that I would never hurt her intentionally.”
“Do you think your job will get in the way?”
“The travel definitely takes a toll. But I really like Sarah, and I think we have a lot of potential.” Times like these, he was glad for all of his media training. Not that this was anything like a press conference, but they did get him used to thinking fast and answering hard questions.
“She’s not really a model NHL girlfriend.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Quinn demanded, barely keeping a glare off of his features.
“Just that most of your lot date models that don’t have normal jobs and aren’t in school,” Travis said, fighting to keep a smile off of his face. That defensiveness answered a lot of his questions.
“Yeah, I suppose that’s true,” he agreed, biting down the urge to correct him. Most of his teammates were married to their high school or college sweethearts. “I like that Sarah has her own stuff and that she’s so independent. Before I met her, I dated a girl like you described, and I was always a little worried about what she was doing while I was on the road. I don't ever get that with Sarah.”
“What do you do on the road?”
“Mostly, I sleep or hang out with the guys. We don't have as much free time as people think.”
Travis was still looking at him appraisingly over the hood of the car. Had he not been exposed to Sarah’s blue, blue eyes, he would have found her uncles stare incredibly intimidating.
“Look, Sir - Travis,” he corrected quickly, “I really -” he stopped himself, not wanting to say that to her uncle first. “I really like Sarah, and we really get along. I know it’s not an ideal thing for me to be on the road during the season, but it seems to be working well so far. I want to be with her, and if she’ll let me, I’d like to be in her life for a long time. I just want to make her happy.”
Travis nodded. “What’s your favorite thing about her?” It was a question his mother-in-law asked him when he met her. It wasn’t until this moment that he realized what a telling question it was.
“She treats me like a normal person,” Quinn admitted. Even though he knew it made him sound conceited, it was his favorite thing about her. She’d never treated him like anything else than a normal guy. “And she’s interesting and easy to talk to and really respectful to people around her.”
“Okay,” Travis said, nodding, glad to see Quinn saw the same things he did. “Okay.” His face split into the natural smile he’d given Sarah when he first opened the door. “I can see why she likes you.”
Despite his attempt to stay cool and collected, Quinn felt a blush splash onto his cheeks as relief relaxed his shoulders.
“I'm not going to say I'll kill you if you hurt her, but just know she has me and Trevor in her corner.”
Quinn smiled, “I get it. I would want to hurt anyone who hurt her, too.”
The dinner party was small - no more than 10 people, and only one of them, their friend’s teenage son, Jace, gawked when he walked in to see Quinn in the kitchen. Quinn took it in stride and talked shop with Jace for a while before dinner was served and he took his seat next to Sarah, who had been watching him with a secret, proud kind of smile on her lips.
Halfway through the night, Travis looked over at them to find Quinn watching her as she talked with someone, with this quiet, infatuated look on his face. A few more of his fears were put to rest.
As he stood at the kitchen sink with his niece, drying the pots and pans she was washing by hand, he leaned closer to her, “I can see what you see in him,” he said, conspiratorially.
“See,” she said, nudging her shoulder into his as she handed him a knife, “I told you.”
“How did you manage going to school from here for a year?” Quinn asked as they pulled onto the ferry for the ride home.
“When I lived with them, they lived in the city. They needed to move into a bigger house when Samson was born. By that time, Trevor was working from home most of the time, and I was okay to live with roommates. So, I moved into the apartment I'm in now, and they moved onto the island.”
He waited until the car was parked before asking, “what do you mean you were okay to live with roommates?”
She pulled in a heavy breath. It was bound to come out eventually. May as well tell him while they had a solid hour and a half boat ride to talk about it.
“After my mom died, I really struggled.”
“Wouldn’t anyone?” Quinn asked.
Sarah pushed the seat back to give her enough room to turn and face him. Her right knee pressed up against the center console. She needed to be looking at him when she said this.
“I mean… I really,” she paused, trying to find the right words. “I remember I flew back to Hawaii a week after the funeral, thinking it was going to be so nice to get back into my routine, but I had this massive gulf in front of me and a literal ocean between me and my family. My roommates were kind of party animals, and they had no idea how to support me, and I had broken up with Kaleo, my boyfriend, before I left because he didn't want anything to do with her funeral or my grief. It felt like no matter where I was, I was just so…alone.”
It felt like someone was reaching down Quinn's throat and wringing his heart.
“I called my sister one day - I think I woke her up, which was really shitty because she had a six month old who was teething.” She laughed a little, but there was too much sadness in it for it to be convincing.
“Anyway, I called her crying because I…I started having these really intense thoughts about killing myself.”
A steep breath stuck in his lungs. He wasn’t totally sure what he thought she would say, but he hadn’t expected that.
“She flew out to be with me, and I moved home two days later. Just packed everything up and left. I didn’t even tell my boss - I was still on FMLA for the funeral, and she had to call me when I didn't show up to work the next Monday.”
“Did you ever…” he trailed off, not wanting to say it out loud.
“Attempt?”
He nodded, and Sarah shook her head, “no, but the thought of it was really terrifying. Like, I saw for the first time how someone could get into that headspace where they might take their own life. I just remember ruminating on those thoughts and thinking, ‘I don’t wanna die.’” She pressed the heel of her hand under her eye to catch some of the tears that slipped.
“How did you get out of it?” Perhaps she was just really good at hiding it, but she didn’t seem that depressed in all the time he’d known her.
“I stayed with my sister for the next nine months. I got on some meds and started seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist, and we talked through what was bringing those thoughts up.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’d already gone through the grief process with my dad, so I knew how awful it was. I never expected to have to go through another big death while I was still single. I thought by the time my mom died, I would have a consistent partner in my life - maybe even a family - and I just kept thinking, ‘I don’t want to do this again.’”
Quinn wanted to go back in time and make it better. Somehow make sure they met before she was in the city so he could be there for her when it all happened.
“Anyway, my psychiatrist told me our brains are basically just big problem solvers. You give it a problem, it wants to fix it. So when I kept telling myself, ‘I don’t want to do this again,’ my brain was just coming up with the swiftest solution for me to not have to do it again. When I changed the way I was thinking about it and started giving myself some more grace, those thoughts lessened a lot.”
God, she was even stronger than he thought.
“Even with all that stuff, I still really wanted to go to grad school, and my therapist and my psychiatrist agreed that it was best for me to have a goal to work toward, even if it meant moving away from home. I was really scared that if I moved out totally on my own, those feelings would come up again, and no one would be around for me to talk to about them, and I might hurt myself. But I couldn't study the ocean in Nevada. My brother actually suggested UBC and living with Travis. I called him to see what he thought. I hadn't even applied, but I didn't want to if I didn't have a plan for when I got in. I pitched that I could be a nanny of sorts when I wasn't in school. They told me they’d love to have me stay with them. I applied and by some miracle was accepted on the first try, and the rest is history,” she said, shrugging.
“Do you…” he paused, not totally sure how best to ask this. “Do you still think about it?”
She shook her head, “not much anymore. Every once in a while, it comes back when a big grief marker comes up, or I get really, really stressed or anxious, but the thoughts are always  really fleeting.”
Even though it meant the console was pressing into his stomach, and she was pitched back slightly, Quinn leaned over to gather her against him. “I can’t believe how strong you are.”
“It’s not like I had any other choice.”
“Clearly you did,” he said, reluctantly settling back into his seat.
“I didn’t,” she said, voice quiet but firm. “There was no way I was going to put my family through another death, and like I said, I didn’t want to die. I wanted to not be in pain anymore, and those are very different things.”
“I just think you should be proud of yourself, that’s all.”
“I mean, I am proud that I got out of it, and proud that I know how to ask for what I need now, but being strong in the face of death is just something you have to do. There’s no way out but through.”
“Fine,” he said, repeating her action from earlier and bringing her knuckles to his lips, “I’ll be proud for you.”

x
It’s been two weeks since you’ve seen or talked to Dean after he promised to stay with you. Maybe he had a good reason for leaving but then why didn’t he just tell you? Did he only tell you what you wanted to hear? Does he feel the same way as you do for him? Your roommate returned home last week but the place feels empty without Dean in it.
You’re in the kitchen making something to eat when you glance at your phone that’s sitting on the counter.
“Why are you staring at your phone like it’s talking to you?” your roommate, Jessica, asks.
“I’m debating on calling someone.”
“Who?” You don’t answer her. “Just call him.”
“How do you know it’s a him?”
“You’re looking at your phone in hope. I know for a fact you’re not into women, and you wouldn’t be looking at your phone if he was just a friend.”
You hate how perceptive she can be. You finish making your food and set the plate on the counter only to pick up your phone. You dial Dean’s number before you can stop yourself and place the phone at your ear.
“Hey, sweetheart,” he answers in two rings.
“That’s it? That’s all you have to say to me? You left, Dean. You promised me you’d stay.”
“I know,” he sighs. “I’m sorry. My dad needed me. Sam’s gone and he needed some help on a hunt.”
“You could have left me a note or something.”
“If it helps anything, I did enjoy my time with you.”
Just like that, he brings a smile to your face. Your first time is exactly how they describe in books. It was passionate and magical.
“Me, too. When can I see you again?”
“Well, I’m finishing a hunt right now but I can come down after.”
“Okay. There’s a diner here that has amazing burgers. I think you’d like it.”
“Are you asking me on a date?”
Heat spreads from your neck to your cheeks, and you turn away from your roommate so she doesn’t see how quickly you’ve fallen for Dean.
“Is that okay?”
“Yeah.”
“Good,” you chuckle.
“I gotta go. I’ll see you in a few days.”
You hang up on Dean with a smile on your face.
“Is he your boyfriend?” Jessica asks.
“No, but I’m hoping he might be.”
Four days go by antagonizing slowly. Your homework sits on your computer untouched because all you can think about is Dean and his hands on you. He made good on his promise and showed up at your dorm by the end of the week, and you hate how quickly you’re running down the stairs to greet him.
“Dean!” you smile and fling yourself into his arms. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you, too,” he smiles.
He leans down and captures your lips with his. It feels good to finally be in his arms. Your body screams at you for his touch but you want something more than just sex. You want to know his mind and connect with him on a deeper level than just physical.
“So, the diner doesn’t close until really late but I was thinking if we go there now, we’ll still have enough time to go bowling afterwards. There is a place near here that’s pretty cool. The lanes light up.”
Dean bends slightly and hooks his hands underneath your thighs. You’re forced to wrap your legs around his waist so you don’t fall, but you don’t mind the position. He slides his hands over your ass to keep you close to him as he walks inside your building. The door is propped open since they are having new students come in and apply to live there next year. No one is in the lobby as Dean carries you through it and up the stairs to your floor.
“I have a better idea,” he grins and kisses your neck when he reaches your front door.
You didn’t lock it for this exact reason so he pushes it open and slams it shut behind him. Jessica is in class so it’s just you two again. The thought of having him inside you again is getting you wetter than you care to admit. Ever since your first time, you’ve craved his touch. You haven’t been with another man since you don’t want anyone else but him.
“I don’t think I can wait this time, Dean. I just need you inside me.”
“Fuck, sweetheart.”
He lays you on your bed and runs his hands down your clothed legs. He doesn’t want you to think you’re some booty call but damn, he can’t think about anything else but your pussy. He undoes the string on the front of your sweats and pulls them down your legs along with your panties. He really isn’t wasting time on you.
Dean unbuttons his jeans and pulls down his briefs along with it. His cock springs free with a red angry tip. Precome drizzles down the side of his cock, making your mouth water at the sight. You want to taste him but later, you will. Dean grabs a condom from his pocket and rips it open with his teeth, careful not to break the rubber. He slides it onto his aching cock before running the tip through your folds.
You’re about to bite out some snappy remark when he shoves himself into your drenched pussy. You tip your head back and moan his name while grabbing at whatever you can. Dean falls onto you but catches himself before he can crush you.
“Damn, sweetheart, you’re so fucking tight. Have you fucked anyone after me?”
“No, only you,” you moan.
Dean sets s a fast pace that has you both climbing to your climaxes at the same time. You come around him first followed by himself right after. It’s a short but intense session that’s got your legs shaking and your heart racing. You’re kind of embarrassed for not lasting long but you just missed him so much. Dean pulls out of you and discards the condom before pulling his pants up.
“If you’re hungry we can go to the diner or we can go bowling first. If you still want to.”
“Eat first. I’m starving.”
You get dressed in something more public-appropriate before leaving your dorm with Dean. The diner is located very close to your college so that college students can walk there if they don’t have a car, but Dean still uses his to get there. It’s not packed which is good so you and Dean can have some peace and quiet compared to moments ago.
The waitress brings you two some menus before leaving to tend to other customers. You look through it briefly before looking at Dean in thought. He looks… tired… worn out. He looks like the shit his father has thrown at him is finally catching up with him. He should be experiencing life in his twenties, not fighting and killing monsters.
“How’s your dad doing?” you ask.
“He’s… dad.”
Well, that’s not vague at all.
“How’s Sam doing?”
“I wouldn’t know.”
“You haven’t been by to visit him?”
“Nope.”
“Why? You came to see me, and I’m pretty sure I’m farther than Stanford.”
“He left this family. I didn’t make him do anything he didn't want to do. He left us. Why should I go after him when he clearly doesn’t want anything to do with us?” Dean scoffs.
“Dean--”
“Anyway, how are you doing? How is school?”
Dean hates talking about his family because it makes him emotional which makes him vulnerable. He hates feeling vulnerable so he avoids talking about things he knows will make him that. You want to pry but you don’t want him to leave so you leave it alone for now.
“School is good. All of my classes are pretty easy.”
“Still all online?”
“Every one of them. I can still go with you, you know? Company or to help hunt.”
“Nah, I wouldn’t want to drag you into this mess.”
“You did when I was ten.”
“I shouldn’t have.”
He doesn’t want you with him but you’re going to keep trying.
“You know, I’ve gotten better at fighting. My building has a gym that I’ve been using almost every day. My aim is better and I’ve read on a ton of lore. I can help you and your dad.”
“I don’t want to taint your innocence.”
Dean didn’t come here to discuss the possibility of you hunting with him full-time. You’re eighteen. He wants you to get an education and stay away from this life as much as you can. He wants you to stay away from him but he can’t seem to stop himself from coming back to you. After a delicious dinner, you two head back to your dorm room where he spends the night.
“Are you going to be here when I wake up?”
“Yes.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.”
You let that comfort you into a deep slumber but the fear of not seeing him in the morning is what wakes you up. The spot next to you on the bed is empty but warm which means he left it not too long ago. Is he still here? Did he break his promise again? Before you can overthink, you hear someone cooking something in the kitchen. You throw on something to wear and head out to see Dean in the kitchen making eggs.
“You stayed,” you smile.
“I promised, didn’t I?”
“So, we didn't get to go bowling yesterday, but there is this place north of here that has a bunch of activities to do like escape rooms and rage rooms. I figure we can go up there for the day.” Dean flips the eggs in the pan but doesn’t say anything. “Dean?”
“I can’t stay,” he says without turning around.
If he had, he would have seen your face drop.
“What? Why not?”
“My dad called me. He didn’t know I took this little trip and needed me to come back. He’s pissed but I’m hoping by the time I get to him, he might have calmed down.”
“Are you sure? What if you didn’t go back?”
“I have to,” he sighs. He puts the eggs on a plate and sets it in front of you. “He’s my dad and he needs me.”
“Let me come with you.”
“No.” Dean sees the look of sadness in your eyes and walks around the counter to stand next to you. He grabs both sides of your face and kisses you slowly. “I’ll be back.”
You both know he won’t… not for a while. Dean is gone before you know it, and you look down at the eggs he made for you. Suddenly, you’re not so hungry. The first few days after Dean left are spent in your room crying over him. The fourth and fifth day is spent studying and working on your homework as best as you can. The seventh day is the day you realize that you’re an adult and can do whatever you want. Who is Dean to tell you that you can’t help him on hunts?
If you want to go to him then you’re going to go to him. It’s not hard to pack up some of your shit and continue your schoolwork online from anywhere in the country. Dean told you where he and his dad were in case you ever needed him, and that’s where you’re headed now.
There is only one motel on this long stretch of road so it has to be the one Dean and John are staying in. You knock on the door when you get there and wait for Dean to answer. The curtains shift cautiously before the door opens.
“Y/N? What are you doing here?” Dean asks.
He has his gun in his hands thinking it could be a monster instead of you.
“I’m helping you. Are you going to let me in?”
“Sure,” he mutters and steps aside. “What do you mean you’re helping me?”
“I told you. All my classes are online. You need me.”
Dean has to give you credit. You’re persistent. He closes the door with a quiet chuckle.
“You sure you’re ready for this life?”
“How hard can it be? You do it,” you tease.
You’re ready to take this next step with Dean even if ends in heartbreak and disaster.

How would each of them react to the reader telling them that they’re ready for another little one?
Tumblr media
Warnings: There's talk about Marc's trauma. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be.
I’ll shut up now. Enjoy! And don’t be afraid to request.

Steven Grant
Okay so I already said in my original Moon Dad post that Steven is the type of man who wants a bunch of kids with you
Like I literally said that he would be the stay at home dad with a million photos of all of his kids and talks all about their achievements, big or small
So when you say you want another kid he's actually been on board since you had/adopted your first
He doesn't really care about the gender of the second kid even though I've made it clear that I just see him being a girl dad
Of course he has a talk with your first to say the whole "You're going to have a sibling and they'll need a lot of attention but that doesn't mean we love you any less.". That whole thing.
Though he does like the idea of having one of each. So if your first is a girl then he'd want a boy next. But again. He doesn't really care.
He's just happy because he gets to have another little one running around
Marc Spector
He'll need a bit to think about it and sit with the idea
It's not that he doesn't want to have a big happy family with you. I actually feel like he does want the whole happy family with the nice house and picket fence
But we know that he has a good amount of self doubt
Sure you and your first helped him kick the idea that he doesn't deserve a happy life but the idea of a second puts him in a funk for a few days for obvious reasons
He will leave it or make the effort to leave it and say yes but he just needs that moment to mentally prepare correctly
Marc does his best to prepare your first into being an older sibling and what that entails and means
It's the usual briefing that most older siblings get when there's going to be a little sibling. "Don't do anything bad or risky because they'll copy you." "They're going to follow you around a lot." "Be gentle"
Marc leaves behind the baggage the best he can and just asks that they love each other the same way he loved his little brother
Being a dad heals him in a way and it heals even more when he has more than one kid
I do think he imagines just two though. Marc hardly even thought of a second child so he's defiantly never thought of a third or more even
But maybe Steven can convince him with the "one for each of us" idea and I mean... the system are like brothers so maybe a third kid wouldn't be too bad
Jake Lockley
I think Jake just says yes because he's just cool with any number of kids you want
He also wouldn't really care about the second one's gender because like I said in my og post he doesn't care if he has a girl she's going to know how to do certain things and maybe how to be rugged
I do feel like he has this sense of pride if he has a good amount of kids. It makes his dad level stronger
I also feel like he gets more methodical in his work and better able to expect the unexpected
Because let's face it. Children are chaotic and unpredictable. So he knows to keep his senses up
Too quiet? Something's happening. Everyone too still? Someone is going to bolt. Giving glances? Plotting.
Jake Lockley knows how this works because everyday his kids are doing something
So yeah, sure. Add another. Add as much as you want.

Pairing: Jake “Hangman” Seresin x Y/N, Iceman x Daughter!Reader
Word Count: 5,200+
Tumblr media
“Dad, please promise me you’ll be nice.” You stifled a groan as you talked to your dad over the phone.
Long story short. Mav caught you and Jake in a compromising position in the men’s locker room at Top Gun. Jake was called in to consult on a mission. You were both rather excited you’d be working together again, even if it was just for a week.
The two of you had been dating for the last six months. You finally gained the courage to tell your parents after Mav caught you. Mav found you with Jake on top of you getting ready to rip your flight suit off, you begged Mav not to tell Iceman. It was something you had to tell your dad, you and only you.
“I can’t promise anything Y/N.” Dad sounded not so thrilled.
You finally told your dad and family about Jake after Mav gave you an ultimatum. Either you needed to tell Ice within the next few weeks, or he would. You weren’t too surprised when you saw the look of horror cross your dads face when you told him. Tom knew it was a matter of time before you got involved with somebody, but it seemed to come out of left field. There was no warning, you just dropped the bomb on him.
If you thought dad was protective before… he kicked it up a notch after telling him about Lieutenant Jake Seresin. He reviewed all of Jake’s papers, scavenging through them to make sure there was nothing in his file. He asked you about a million questions in regard to him only stopping after you snapped at him. He was concerned, worried that his baby girl could get hurt.
“Dad!” This time you let the groan out, “Please promise me you will try. I really like him.” You admitted, not being the best at coming clean with your feelings. Especially when coming clean meant to your own father.
“Oh,” He paused, “You really like him? That changes things.” He spoke with a dry sarcasm dripping from his voice.
“Please.” You begged, sounding almost desperate.
You could hear him doing something in the background, stopping when you spoke last, “You really like him hmm?” He asked curiously. You seemingly finally broke through to him.
“Yes dad. I really like him. I even love…”
“Nope, stop right there. You can’t say that before I meet the damn kid.” He grumbled as he realized how serious you were about Jake. He didn’t know just how happy had made you over the last six months. Each and every time you saw him you swear you fell more and more in love with him.
“Dad! You can’t go into dinner with that attitude.”
“I’ll go into it however I want.”
You let a sigh out you had been holding in thinking you actually got somewhere with the man, “Dad, I’m 27 years old and this is my first legit boyfriend. Please, please I’m begging you, don’t run him out the door the second you meet him. You and mom were married and had already had Will at this point in your lives.”
He sensed the desperation in your voice and the point you were making, “Alright Y/N, I’ll be on my best behavior.” It was hard for him. His little girl was growing up. He knew you were right though. He had gotten married at 25 and had a kid by the time he was 27. You were here potentially just starting your life. He wanted to laugh knowing it was easier to let you go on that damn mission than it was to know you fell in love with someone.
“Thank you, dad.” You smiled as he finally agreed to your request, “He reminds me of you.”
“Now, wait a damn minute…”
“In a good way dad!” You interrupted him continuing before he could, “He’s one of the best aviators I’ve been around, he makes me better every time we’re in the air. You’d appreciate it, dad. He’s also so sweet to me but such an asshole in the field… reminds me of a certain guy I know.” You grinned realizing how much the two were like. Eerily similar.
Ice smiled hearing your rattle off your favorite qualities of your boyfriend, “He sounds fine.” Tom couldn’t admit it just yet, but you seemed happy with Jake. Genuinely happy. Ice noticed the way you gushed when you talked about him, it was the same way your mom swooned over him.
You laughed hearing your father try and accept it, “He is daddio. So nice. I think you’ll like him.”
“Don’t hold your breath.”
Shaking your head you continued, “As long as you try. That’s all I’m asking.”
“Then that’s what you’ll get.”
You suppressed the squeal you wanted to give him knowing it’d just irritate him, “Thank you dad!”
“Of course, sweetheart. Now, when can we expect you two?” He paced back and forth feeling slightly anxious at the prospect of you bringing a man into his home.
“Six still work? Jake gets off around four today.”
“That works.”
Doing a mini happy dance you replied to him, “Perfect. Can’t wait. See you tonight! Love you.”
“Love you too Y/N.”
Hanging up the phone you realized what you just gotten yourself into. You were bringing Jake Seresin to the admiral’s house. Your own fathers home. This was the final stamp of approval from the people you love in your life, your mom and dad. Mav was floored but thrilled when he caught you two. Phoenix couldn’t get enough of it. Although she never really believed you when you would tell her how loving Jake really was. Bradley was confused but happy for the pair. You just had to introduce him to your family now, no pressure or anything.
Walking through your apartment door you settled on the couch after a long day of flying. These Top Gun pilots were putting you through the ringer. You could never let your mask slip at work, you always had to be on at work. So, these moments where you could just sit and not think? Heaven.
You were pulled from your thoughts when the front door clicked open revealing your handsome boyfriend, “Hi.”
“Hello gorgeous girl.” He walked over to you throwing his head in your lap, legs sprawled out along the couch, “Rough day?” He asked as you absentmindedly played with his hair.
“Yeah, I have to deal with twenty Jake Seresin’s all day. Cocky arrogant aviator assholes.” You replied earning a hearty grin from Jake. You swore you’d never grow tired of those dimples. You couldn’t believe just how lucky you were to have him.
“They sound incredible.” He smiled even further if that was possible.
Rolling your eyes, you tried to lightly shove him off of you. He didn’t budge, “We’ve got to get ready for dinner.” You said as you tried to get him to move.
His smile dropped almost instantaneously, “With your dad?”
“And mom!”
Jake clicked his tongue attempting to play dumb with you, “Did I agree to that?”
Nodding you wrapped your arms around him, “You did, yesterday.” You bopped him on the nose earning a groan from the man.
“Are you sure?” He asked rolling his face into your thigh, hiding away.
“Mhmm.” You grinned down at him adoring how comfortable he was with you. You learned quickly that Jake was a physical touch kind of guy. If he wasn’t holding your hand, he had an arm around you should or on you back. It was an adjustment for you, but you’ve grown to love it, craving his touch, “Is that okay?”
“I guess.” He said softly while rolling back over to look up at you, “You’re so pretty.”
“And you’re changing the subject.” A light flush showed on your cheeks. Even after six months with him the simplest compliments still sent your heart into a frenzy.
He brushed his thumb over your cheek, “I like making you blush.” You could’ve melted right then and there with the look he was giving you. You knew how in love he was with you as his eyes gave him right away. He looked at you with the most admiration you’ve ever seen, like you were his world.
“You’re very good at it.” Giggling you too looked at him with the most admiration. You were officially a sucker for Jake Seresin.
It was scary at first, falling for him. He made it so easy for you. Truly, he was the perfect gentleman. You never opened your door, never pumped gas, always had a fresh set of flowers and were constantly showered in compliments. It was downright impossible not to fall for him as fast as you did. How could you not?
“I love you.” He said as he shifted off your lap but still sitting right next to you, “So much.” He took his hand, gently wrapping it around the back of your head pulling you closer to him. He wanted a kiss, and you’d happily oblige.
You really did live for these moments with him. These sweet romantic moments that happened in the comfort of your own homes. You and Jake technically still had separate places of residence, but he was at your apartment almost every day and night. He initially claimed it was closer to work (it was not) but you’d never say anything, you loved having him around.
“And I love you, so much.” You spoke after parting from the kiss. Resting your head on his forehead you continued, “You know who else will love you?”
He snuck in another quick kiss before replying, “Who?”
“My father.”
You felt the breath of air he let out, “I don’t know about that one sweetheart.” He sat back in his seat thinking all too hard.
“What’s got you worried?” You turned his head to look at you.
“Well for one you’re his daughter, his pride and joy. And two he is the Admiral of the Pacific Fleet.”
Nodding you snuggled into him this time, “He’s just dad.”
Jake chuckled, “He’s your dad darling.”
“Don’t worry, I already buttered him up.”
“Okay,” He kissed your forehead, “If you think it’s time to meet the parents then let’s do it.”
Grinning you threw yourself on top of him squeezing him into a hug, “Thank you Jake.” Whispering into his ear you felt a small shiver in response from him.
“Anything for you baby.” He squeezed you back, “I need to go shower again.”
You ignored him only holding him tighter not wanting to let go just yet. He continued, “If you don’t get up, you’re just coming with me.”
“Is that a promise?”
“Oh sweetheart, I’d never lie to you.” Smirking he lifted you effortlessly with him off the couch. You wrapped your legs around his torso. You felt him laughing as you kept your head tucked in his shoulder, “To the shower we go.”
Tumblr media
You squeezed his hand lightly when you made it to the front door of your parents’ home, “You ready?” You asked him, wanting to make sure he was okay.
“As I’ll ever be.”
You rang the doorbell feeling weirdly calm knowing your mom would likely answer. She did. She always did.
“Y/N!” She wrapped you up in the biggest mom hug, “It’s so good to see you.”
“Hi mom.” You hugged her back with just as much vigor. You felt so blessed to have two loving parents that actually still loved each other.
She turned eyeing your boyfriend up and down sending you a nod of approval, “And you must be Jake.”
“Yes ma’am.” He nodded his head towards her, “It’s a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Kazansky.”
“Oh, call me Sarah.” She patted his arm before opening the door for you two, “Dad is in his office, he’ll be out shortly. Make yourself at home Jake.” She smiled at him before heading back into the kitchen.
You grabbed his hand, “Not so bad.”
“Yet.” He chuckled softly, “Your mom is lovely darling.”
“I agree, let’s go see if she needs any help.” You pulled him into the kitchen watching your mom chop some vegetables up for the salad.
Jake spoke up before you could, “This is a beautiful home, Sarah.”
“Thank you, Jake,” She smiled as she continued chopping, “The Navy does have its benefits.”
“That it does indeed.” He concurred with her. You didn’t try and stop the smile seeing the two of them converse. It seemed so normal. So domestic, “Need any help?”
“Oh no Jake.” She turned to you, “Y/N, show him around. Dad will be out shortly.”
You nodded grabbing his hand again, “Follow me!”
The two of you ended up in your childhood bedroom. Your mom wouldn’t let dad change it at all so Jake was seeing your true childhood bedroom in all its glory, purple walls and all. He plopped down on your bed taking in the surroundings, “This is cute.” He smirked.
“Don’t even start Lieutenant.” You eyed him giving him a playful glare.
Throwing his hands up in mock defense he stood up and wrapped you in hug, “Sorry sweetheart.”
“Suck up.” You hugged him back, “C’mon, let’s go. You’ve got to meet my dad.”
Lazily smiling he nodded, “Your wish is my command darling.” He let you pull him back throughout the house only pausing at the kitchen entryway spotting your dad next to his wife. Gulping he took another small step forward standing just behind you.
“Hello sir.” He gave dad a curt nod unsure of what to do next.
You gave dad a look, one that told him to play nice.
“Hangman. How’d you get that call sign?” Your dad eyed him harshly, something he usually only reserved for when he was angry. You shot him a wide-eyed look trying to diffuse the tension your father unnecessarily added. Straight to the questions. You shouldn’t have expected anything less.
You had never seen Jake so nervous before, Ice was quite an intimidating man. You squeezed his arm urging him to respond, “Well sir I…” He stuttered eliciting another squeeze from you, “I suggested playing hangman as an icebreaker when the squadron first met… sir.”
Tom narrowed his gaze, “That’s it.”
Nodding quickly, Jake smiled softly, “That’s it.” You could feel a small amount of tension release from him. So far, not so bad you thought.
“So, dad.” You tried your best to change the conversation, “Anything coming down the line? Any secret missions?”
Your dad huffed, “None that I can tell you about.” He finally broke the stare down on Jake. His demeanor changed as he turned to you. His gaze softened as he returned to dad, not the admiral, “Come here, give your old man a hug.”
Walking over to him, you gave him a tight squeeze, “Be nice.” You whispered to him, only your mom hearing.
He pinched your arm lightly letting you know he got the message, “Good to see you kid.”
“Likewise.” You punched his shoulder before returning back to Jake. Noticing how tense he was you smiled brightly at him, settling yourself in front of him again.
“Jake,” Your mom chimed in sensing the slight tension in the room, “Y/N tells us you’re a pilot as well?”
“Yes ma’am.” His southern drawl comes through ever so slightly making you weak at the knees, “Strike Fighter Squadron 151, the Vigilantes. Although, I do miss being a part of the dagger squad.” He smiled down at you softly almost forgetting your parents were right there.
“I heard all about it.” Your mom laughed recalling the yelling match between you and Ice. He was obviously furious when you got back from the mission even going so far as to threaten to ground you, air wise. You almost let him get the better of you, but you forced him to understand your reasoning. He understood why you went back to help Mav, but he didn’t agree with it. Of course, he loved Maverick, but you were his daughter he’d always pick you over him.
“Jake saved our asses.” Reaching behind you, you found one of his hands. You ran your fingers up and down the back of it hoping it brought him comfort.
“Shouldn’t have been in the situation to begin with.” Ice grumbled taking a seat at the table.
Shaking your head you replied, “We’ve already gotten into this dad. No need to bring it up again.” Sitting down across from him you sent him a look of irritation.
Your dad shot you a small smile knowing how badly you wanted this to go well. You motioned for Jake to come join you at the table.
Ice turned his attention to your boyfriend, “Hangman. What are your intentions with my daughter?”
“Dad!” You placed your hand on Jake’s thigh knowing it’d help, even just a bit.
He shrugged, “It’s a question Y/N.”
Jake leaned forward looking confident once again, “Sir, would you like the honest truth or the one I’m supposed to tell you?”
Your dad eyed him curiously, “The truth.” Mom made her way over sitting down next to her husband.
Jake smiled at her before turning back to Ice, “I intend to marry your daughter, sir.”
Your head snapped in Jake’s direction giving him a bewildered look. You hadn’t spoken about marriage with him. That topic was so far off your mind it didn’t even seem conceivable, yet. Your mom looked over the moon for just having met him. Ice nodded his head slowly observing Jake not expecting that answer.
Jake smiled down at you fondly seeing your shocked expression. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder pulling you into him, “Sir. I know you don’t want to hear this. But I’m so in love with your daughter. I would do anything for her. She’s made me the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. And my momma always told me you never let a good thing go. Y/N here… she’s the best thing. The best thing that’s ever happened to me. I have every intention on settling down, marrying, and starting a family with your daughter. If she’s okay with that.” Thankful that Jake was holding onto you, you looked up at him seeing that he was nodding at you. Confirming what he said. He had every intention of making you his wife.
You were convinced your heart might just beat right out of your chest. You were wholly not prepared for Jake to lay it down like that. To put his intentions out there in front of your mom and dad.  Sure, the two of you talked about the future but for Jake to put it all out there like that? With such certainty? So much was going through your head you hardly heard you dad start speaking again.
Ice leaned back in his chair, your mom watching him expectantly, “Well Lieutenant. You seem to have the right intentions. I just need you to show me now.”
“Absolutely sir.” Jake beamed as he grew in confidence gaining a little respect from the Naval Admiral. Jake looked up to your father. Admitting what he just had to him was no easy task, but he needed to. Jake needed Ice to know just how much he adored you
You still hadn’t managed to find the right words to continue the conversation with the three of them. He wanted to marry you? He wanted to make you his wife? He wanted to have kids with you? You can’t imagine what you’ve done so right in your life to deserve the love you got from Jake, but you were so beyond thankful you had it.
“Isn’t that right Y/N?” Your mom asked.
“Oh sorry, what was that mom?”
She grinned seeing the realization of what Jake had said to your father come across your face, “I was just saying you seem happy.”
“I’m happy.” You broke eye contact with mom opting to look back up at Jake, “Very happy.”
“Let’s eat.” Your dad interrupted the moment, clearly uncomfortable with all of the emotions flying around.
Throughout dinner you saw that both your father and Jake seemed to relax a bit as casual conversation flowed, rather easily. The steak your mom made being a hot topic of discussion. Your fathers looks softened substantially throughout the meal. He even cracked a few jokes with Jake, joking with him about his call sign. Your dad definitely assumed the worst when he heard it.
After another bottle of wine split between the group the laughter started. A permanent rose shade graced your cheeks after your third bottle. Before you knew it the two couples had sat there talking, eating, and drinking for two hours. You thought the dinner would go okay. But this was more than you could have wished for. Your dad had warmed up to him quicker than anyone you had seen before.
“Jake.” Your dad smiled over to him. You grinned watching the interaction between them beyond thrilled dad had used his first name.
“Yeah?”
He leaned forward after setting his napkin on the plate, “Nightcap in my office?”
Jake nodded, “Absolutely.”
You were smiling so hard your cheeks started burning. You gave his thigh a squeeze before he stood up, following your dad away from the kitchen. He shot you a wink before he left fully.
You and your mom cleaned up before settling in the living room, “You didn’t tell me it was this serious Y/N.” The smile on her face was something to see. You could tell how excited she was. She had wanted you to get out there and live a life outside of the Navy, which included dating. It was never a priority for you and your mom knew that. But after hearing what Jake had to say and seeing how he dotingly looked down at you she knew Jake was special.
You turned to her grinning from ear to ear, “He’s never said that before. I don’t think I realized how serious it was.” You admitted to her.
“He’s in love with you Y/N. Very much in love with you. Anybody can see it, even your father. I didn’t tell you this, but he approves so far. Jake’s little speech made quite the impression.”
Eyes wide you continued looking at her, “Really?”
She nodded her head, “Dad just wants the best for you sweetie. For you to be happy. You glow when you’re around him. He seems to be what’s best for you.”
You scooted closer to her on the couch laying your head on her shoulder, “I love him so much mom. He’s so good to me. He treats me better than anybody has. I just… I love him.”
She smiled softly brushing a strand of hair out of your face, “I’m so happy for you. It’s quite the feeling, isn’t it?”
“It’s the best feeling in the world.” You agreed with her.
The two of you continued to chat for the next thirty minutes or so before Jake and dad returned from his office. The two of them had smiles on their faces as they joined you and mom in the living room. You couldn’t describe the feeling seeing your dad smile at your boyfriend like that, like he was already part of the family.
“Ready to go home sweetheart?” Jake asked still standing, “Early morning at Top Gun.”
You nodded kissing your mom on the cheek. You gave your dad a big hug whispering, “Thank you dad.” In his ear before releasing him from your grip.
“Anytime. I’ll call you tomorrow.” You dad kissed you on the head before giving a brief nod to Jake.
“Jake, it was nice to meet you. Keep making my daughter happy.” Dad stuck his hand out for Jake to take.
Jake shook his hand with a newly found confidence, “I have no other plans, sir.”
The ride home was filled with comfortable silence. The night shifted into one you could’ve only dreamed of with Jake laying his heart on the line like that. You know your dad was impressed. The way he began to smile more throughout the dinner and asked Jake genuine questions made your heart soar. The two most important men in your life met each other and got off to a really good start.
Holding his hand you turned to him, “Dad likes you.”
He didn’t take his eyes off the road but ran his thumb along your finger, “You think?”
“I know. He stopped treating you like a Lieutenant and started treating you like Jake, my handsome hunky Naval aviator boyfriend.”
He laughed at your response, never failing to love your personality, “Well that’s good.”
“It’s more than good!”
You saw the tension release from his body, “I was so nervous.”
“I know.” You leaned down to kiss his knuckles, “But you did so good baby.”
Squeezing your hand he replied, “And your mom?”
“She loved you the second you stepped foot into the house.”
He didn’t hide his beaming smile as he continued to look ahead on the road, never daring to take his eyes off the road when you were a passenger, “They’re great people.”
“They really are. I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I get to have them, and I get to love you. I don’t need anything else.” You didn’t want to ask him what they talked about back in your dad’s office, maybe another time. You were riding out a high nothing could vanquish.
Jake felt his heart rate pick up at your vulnerability. Truth be told he wasn’t planning on his little monologue earlier but when he had Ice’s eyes on him like that he had to. He had to express just how important you were to him. He knew very early on in the relationship that you’d be the one he was going to marry. Jake’s grandma gave him a ring after divulging all the details to the family. He was planning on getting it refurbished once he knew what style of ring you liked.
He wasn’t planning on proposing to you anytime soon but after tonight? All bets were off. Practically, he knew he needed to wait another six months for the optics of it all. It wouldn’t look good proposing to you only six months in, but did he want to. He would wait because he didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. But if you wanted to get married tomorrow at the courthouse, he’d be all in.
You two were well out of the honeymoon phase and only seemed to grow closer with each passing day. Your love grew and then grew some more. You wanted to be around him all the time, touching him some way all the time.
“You’re the sweetest girl I know.” He brought your hand to his lips, kissing it softly, “I have everything I need too. You’re it Y/N.”
He pulled into your driveway shutting the car off. Quickly hopping out to get the door for you. Hand in hand the two of you walked inside not being able to take your eyes off each other.
“You really want to marry me?” You asked him feeling all sorts of emotions. You needed to ask him, to make sure what he confessed was true. You knew it was true, but you desired to hear it.
He closed the minimal distance between you two, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead, “I want to marry you sweetheart. So, fucking bad.”
“And start a family?” Your head was swimming in all the thoughts you had. Jake was a straight shooter. He didn’t have anything to hide from you anymore. This is what he wanted, and he needed you to know it, desperately hoping you felt the same.
He nodded placing a kiss on your cheek, hands on your shoulders, “I’d love to have kids with you Y/N. As many as you want.”
“Really?” Feeling your legs beginning to tremble you leaned into him for some stability. Of course, the two of you expressed just how much you loved one another. But this? This was a life changing conversation. This, quite literally, left you weak at the knees. There’s nothing more that you could’ve asked for.
He placed a gentle kiss on your other cheek, “Yes sweetheart. I want to do everything with you. I want to build a life with you.”
“How many kids do you want?” You questioned again all of this starting to feel like too much. In the best way, of course.
Grinning he placed a kiss on your nose, “I think three is a good number.”
“Three kids.” You bit your lip taking it all in. It was easy to imagine a future with him. Three little blond-haired babies running around sounded like a dream. Three of him.
“Three of you.” He smiled placing a kiss right on your lips.
“And you.” You kissed him back as you ran your hands up his neck to his hair, deepening the kiss as you pulled him closer. He let a soft groan out. You knew what you were doing. Jake was a sucker for your hands in his hair.
“You’re killing me darling.” He whispered right in your ear. Jake also knew what he was doing. For as much as you knew about him, he probably knew double that about you.
Smiling you batted your eyelashes just how he liked. You knew Jake through and through knowing what set him off, “I’d love to have three babies with you Lieutenant.” You continued to run your hands across his hair eliciting another moan from the man.
“Yeah?” He asked as he pulled your waist into his body.
“Hell yeah Jake.” You whispered into his ear feeling just how excited he was, bodies sandwiched together.
“What do you say then Kazansky, should we practice making some babies?”
Nodding your head eagerly you replied, “That sounds very enticing Seresin.” You leaned up to kiss him again.
Smirking he kissed you back right before he picked you up, “Hey!” You laughed clinging to him like you had previously in the day.
“I can’t have my sweet girl walk all the way to the bedroom, now can I?”
Giggling and shaking your head it hit you how damn happy you were. How lucky you were to find Jake when you did. From the outside looking in people might’ve thought you two were moving too fast, but it felt so right to you. You had never been so sure of anything, other than becoming a pilot, when it came to loving Jake. He made you feel like the absolute luckiest girl in the world.
“I love you, Jake.” Kissing his neck, you loved to see how he reacted to your touch. You always managed to get a shiver or chill out of him.
“And I love you. Let me show you just how much I do.” Smirking, he winked down at you hightailing it for your room.

Little Runaway Part 4
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Wayne walked into the sheriff’s station the next morning, coffee in hand.
“Hey, Hop!” Wayne greeted cheerily.
Hopper stood up and gave Wayne a hug. “Hey, Munson, you’re a sight for sore eyes.” He eyed the coffee in Wayne’s hand. “That coffee for me?”
Wayne handed it over. Hopper took a long sip and sighed happily.
“The coffee here is no better than mud most days,” he grumbled.
Wayne sat down and nodded to the picture on Hopper’s desk. “That the Harrington kid?”
Hopper sighed again, this time more resigned. “Yeah. No one’s seen him in a week and Clint is breathing down my neck to find him. Only he’s a grown man now and can do whatever the hell he wants.”
“Bit strange him not telling any of his friends where he went, though,” Wayne said.
Hopper groaned. “I know. I’m worried about him, too. And with Harrington breathing down my neck, it almost feels like he’s done something to him.”
Wayne jutted his chin at the styrofoam cup in Hopper’s hand. Hopper frowned and slowly turned it around.
“Oh.”
“You know, I was thinking it’s been a while since I beat your ass at chess,” Wayne said, deadpan. “Why don’t you come over after your shift, I’ll make dinner, we can have a few beers and I can whoop your ass.”
Hopper downed the rest of his cup and crushed in his fist. “Sure thing, Wayne. I’m off at four.”
Wayne stood up and waved goodbye.
Hopper made sure the cup was properly disposed of. Didn’t want to liter, after all.
*
Hopper pulled into the trailer park sometime after five and Wayne came out to greet him.
“Eddie’s almost done with the burgers,” he said. “Let’s get set up and he’ll bring out the food.”
Hopper led the way to the tables, Wayne following behind, chessboard in hand.
But when they got to the table Hopper stopped dead in his tracks. There sat a badly bruised Steve Harrington, looking down at his hands as if he was expecting another beating.
Hopper went over and knelt in front of Steve, gently tilting his back so Hopper could see the damage. He whistled long and low.
“Your daddy do that you, son?” he asked as gentle as his touch.
Steve nodded.
“You break his nose for the trouble?” Hopper asked.
Steve nodded again.
“Good. Now you tell me everything.”
Wayne set up the chessboard and Steve started talking. Everything just tumbling out about the years upon years of abuse.
Hopper listened, but kept his eyes on the board in front of him so that it was easier for Steve to talk. As if he was talking to himself instead of someone who had the ability to make his life hell.
When Steve was done he looked over at the board and cocked his head.
“He’s got you dead to rights in three moves, Sheriff,” he murmured.
Hopper looked at the board then back up at Steve. “How do you know that?”
“I’m really good at pattern recognition,” Steve said with a shrug, “and the pattern on that board says Wayne is about to kick your ass.”
Hopper looked down at the chess board and cursed, Wayne laughed.
“Better you than me, Stevie,” Eddie said, holding two plates of burgers.
Wayne smiled at his nephew. “Eddie here is more left brained, creative. I don’t mind him not being able to play.”
Eddie smiled softly as he set down the food.
Wayne stood up. “Here let me help you get the buns and condiments.”
Eddie looked over at Steve concerned.
Wayne clapped him on the shoulder. “He’ll be fine. Come on.”
Eddie let his uncle lead him away, but he looked back over his shoulder at Steve.
Once they were gone, Hopper turned to Steve. “Looks like you’ve got yourself a knight in shining armor.”
Steve frowned. “Who? Eddie? I don’t think he likes me much.”
Hopper chuckled. “Don’t think that’s true.”
Steve just shook his head.
“So that’s quite a story you just told,” Hopper said after a moment.
“You don’t believe me?” Steve asked, his voice wobbling. He had trusted Wayne to bring the sheriff in and now he was just going to be handed over to his dad on a silver plate. He started to breathe heavily.
Hopper leapt over the table and grabbed both of Steve’s hands. “Hey, hey!”
Steve looked at him, his eyes wide with terror.
“I didn’t say I didn’t believe you,” Hopper said softly. “It came out wrong. I’m sorry.”
Steve nodded, tears starting to form.
“The problem is kid is that your daddy is holding all the cards right now,” Hopper said. “We need some kind of proof he did it.”
Steve nodded. “Would pictures of me after the fight help?”
Hopper looked at him appraisingly. “I guess that depends on what’s in the pictures.”
Steve pulled out the photos from his back pocket. All of them were Polaroids of him in various forms of posing for the camera showing off all the bruises on his back, sides, and face.
Hopper looked at one in particular with a grin. “That dumbass didn’t take off his ring to hit you.”
Steve frowned. “He never does, why?”
Hopper turned to him and his grin got bigger. “That’s a rookie mistake. You see you’re daddy’s ring is unique. One of a kind.”
Steve’s eyes went wide. “So this is evidence that he beat me?”
“Yup,” Hopper said. “And even if he claims you hit first breaking his nose, this is beyond self defense. This is rage.”
“I’ll be safe?” Steve asked, not quite daring to hope.
“I’ll make sure of it,” Hopper said. He put the pictures in his jacket pocket just in time for Eddie and Wayne to come back.
“Let’s eat!” Wayne said, setting down his haul.
Eddie sat down next to Steve. “You okay?”
Steve looked up at him and smiled. “Yeah. I think for the first time in my life I can say that with some kind of certainty.”
“Yeah?” Eddie asked.
Steve bumped his shoulder. “Thanks to you.”
They started to eat and about half way through, Hopper asked, “You got a job, son?”
Steve shook his head. “My last job got blown up.”
Hopper chuckled. “You worked at the mall?”
Steve nodded.
“Anything else you can do besides customer service?” Hopper asked.
“I know a bit about cars,” Steve murmured into his plate. “I know my way around the inside of an engine. It was one thing my dad encouraged me to like until he realized I was good at it.”
Wayne scoffed. “Sounds like Clint all right.”
“I’ve got a cousin that runs a garage,” Hopper said. “I could talk to him about giving you a chance. Once this whole thing blows over I mean.”
Steve lit up. “That would be great.”
Wayne got a calculated look on his face and Hopper smiled.
Eddie gave Steve a sly look. “If you’re good with cars, then take a look at my van and see what’s wrong with it.”
Steve lit up. “I’d love to!” He hurried to finish his food.
“Take easy there, big boy,” Eddie said, laughing. “It’ll keep. I’d rather you didn’t choke.”
Steve blushed, but slowed down eating.
Eddie just shook his head.
Once they finished, Eddie and Steve cleared the table, leaving Wayne and Hopper alone.
“You got a good kid there, Wayne,” Hopper said.
“He’s a bit rough around the edges,” Wayne murmured, “but he’s got the biggest heart I know.”
Hopper nodded. “And it looks as though you’ve picked up another one.”
Wayne chuckled. “It appears to be a Munson trait, picking up lost strays.”
Hopper laughed. “Seems like it.” He stood up and clapped Wayne on the shoulder. “I’ve got a couple of calls to make. And a witch hunt to call off.”
Wayne grinned. “Just let me know if you need my help.”
Hopper nodded.

Ok but, Hangman as guy in your neighborhood, you are both back from college, he has a “she grew up hot” moment, and starts “coincidentally” mowing his lawn and washing the car at the same time she walks her dog. Summer fling, maybe 17 on the SOS prompt, really whatever you think works
Honey, Honey | Jake "Hangman" Seresin
Summary: You lose your virginity to Jake after he walks in on you.
Content warnings: SMUT (18+), female masturbation, fingering, protected p in v
Prompt: "Oh no, don't stop on my account. I'm really enjoying the view."
Author's note: I kind of got lost in the sauce while writing and didn't follow the request exactly but I hope that's okay. It still has the same girl next door trope!
This was written for my Summer of Smut writing event. Feel free to send in requests!
You had been looking forward to moving back home after college graduation for months. Going to school in California had been your dream, but you missed the way that Texas felt like home. A few of your friends stayed local after high school, so it was one of the rare moments where you were able to hang out as a group. Your San Diego apartment had been mostly vacated, but you and your roommate had decided to rent it out as an Air BnB for the summer because it was in the heart of the city.
“I think that Seresin boy might be back for a few weeks,” your mom said over dinner.
You dropped your fork on your plate and sighed. Of course she brought him up. He was about a decade older than you, and your mom was never really able to let go of the fact that you had a crush on him when you were little. When he left to join the Navy, you stayed close with his family, occasionally coming over for cookouts or playing with the littles.
“Good for him,” you grumbled out.
The Seresins were having a cookout for Memorial Day Weekend. Your parents were out of town attending a wedding of some friends. You grabbed a hard seltzer from the fridge in the garage before walking over to the neighbors. Mrs. Seresin greeted you and grabbed a lawn chair so that you could sit by the campfire.
“Wow, you really grew up,” Jake said as he plopped into a chair next to you.
“Well, I haven’t really seen you in what, ten, fifteen years? A lot of growing up happened in that time.”
“So, you in college or…?”
“Just graduated from UC San Diego, actually. I wanted to spend the summer at home before shit gets real, so here I am.”
He raised his eyebrows at the mention of San Diego.
“I’m stationed at North Island right now. It’s kind of surprising that we haven’t run into each other.”
“I don’t think it is, though. San Diego is big and I live like ten minutes from campus. So unless you’re bar hopping with a bunch of 20-year-olds, I doubt we would’ve run into each other.”
Jake chuckled in agreement and scooted closer to you. Maybe it was a combination of the summer heat and your drink, or maybe it was just Jake, but you felt a warmth in your stomach. It was almost like he wanted to kiss you, but more guests started arriving and he had to forfeit his seat to help his dad with the grill. You talked to other people in the neighborhood while eating and playing games. You didn’t realize how much you had to drink until almost everyone had left at around midnight.
“Alright, I think I’m gonna head home. Woah,” you said as you stood up and grabbed your empty can.
“Do you need someone to walk you home, honey?” Mrs. Seresin asked.
“I think I’ll be fine. It’s just right next door.”
“Okay. Well, we’re here if you need anything. There’s always someone home so feel free to come by whenever.”
“Thank you.”
Jake opened the gate for you as you left and you mumbled a thank you before heading over to your house. Maybe it was because you were desperately single, but Jake looked just as good as you remembered. Better, actually. You kicked your shoes off by the front door and reached into your bag for your earbuds. One of the network channels was doing a marathon of all of the Marvel movies, so you put that on and lay on the couch.
Jake’s mom talked him into checking in on you when they were done cleaning up the yard. He was only reluctant to go because he was sweaty and tired from being outside for most of the day. What he didn’t expect though, was to walk into your house and hear you moaning. You couldn’t see him because the back of the couch was towards the back door, and you couldn’t hear him because you had your earbuds in.
“Oh my God!” You gasped. Your hand was still in your shorts but you were too busy freaking out about the fact that Jake `had just walked in on you to worry about that.
“Oh no, don’t stop on my account. I’m really enjoying the view,” he said. He stood in front of you and nudged your legs open before taking your hand out of your shorts. His calloused hand replaced your smooth one and you pulled him closer to you before moaning.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said before leaning in for a kiss. It was a clash between tongues and teeth as he got you off and slowed his pace.
“I-I’ve never-,”
“What?”
You sighed as you looked at the cocky smirk on his face.
“Jake, I’m a virgin.”
“Wait, really? How? Look at you. You’re hot.”
“I’ve done other stuff but I’ve never… y’know.”
“Do you want to?”
You felt the blood rush to your cheeks before you looked at your feet.
“With you? Yeah. Why? Is that bad?”
“Bad? Hey, don’t be shy. We can do this but only if you want to.”
“I want to.”
“Alright. Where’s your room?”
You stared at him in confusion.
“You’re not losing your virginity on a couch. At least let me be proper about it.”
You nervously led him up the stairs and to your room. You moved to California pretty much right after graduating highschool, so not much had changed. It still looked like a teenager’s room because you were usually home from college for a week or two at a time. You weren’t particularly embarrassed about it until now, with the lilac colored walls and stuffed animals everywhere.
“Um, I’m not here all the time. Here, let me…”
Jake watched as you cleared the bed of your stuffed animals and throw pillows. He was trying not to laugh. You turned to him and smiled once you lit the cinnamon roll scented candle on your dresser. He sat you on the bed and started to kiss you before laying you down and taking your shorts off. You couldn’t help but grind yourself against him, and both of you groaned at the feeling. A wet spot was starting to form on the crotch of his grey basketball shorts and you could see the outline of his cock.
“I gotta get you ready,” he whispered into your ear as he tugged your panties off and started to finger you. You writhed in his arms as he got you closer to your release, and he slowly pulled his fingers out of you before grabbing his wallet and taking out a condom.
You looked at him with wide eyes once he took his shorts and boxers off. His cock hit his chest and he was huge. You were kind of able to guess, since he was well built and athletic, but you were still intimidated by the size.
“I’ll go slow. Tell me if you want me to stop, okay?”
“Okay.”
You let out a gasp as he started to enter you. He could tell that you were tense with pain, so he leaned down and kissed you while moving one of your legs to rest on his hip. You let out a cry when he was fully inside of you.
“I’m sorry. Are you hurt? Do you want me to stop?”
“I… No, I don’t want you to stop but it hurts a little.”
“That’s normal. Here, let me move you so that you’re on top. You’ll have more control.”
“Okay.”
Jake guided himself into you and put his knees up so that he could help you ride him. With his hands on your hips, you were quickly bouncing on his cock. He knew that he wasn’t going to last much longer with the way you were moaning his name, and you could see it in his eyes. So it wasn’t much of a surprise when he pulled your hips down and stilled inside of you. He rolled the two of you over while he was still inside and started to rub your clit while going through the motions of the rest of his orgasm. He grunted in your ear when you came around him and slowly pulled out of you after a few moments.
“Where’s your bathroom? I’m gonna get a towel and clean you up,” he said. You sat up and looked at him as he walked to your bedroom door.
“Right across the hall. Did I bleed?”
“A little, but it’s nothing to worry about. I’ll be right back.”
Jake was gone for a lot longer than you thought he would be. You were somewhat surprised when he finally walked back into your room with two glasses of water and a damp washcloth in his hands. The washcloth was warm, too. He threw the washcloth in your hamper when he was done and climbed in the bed next to you.
“You’re staying the night?” You asked.
“I can leave if you want me to.”
“No, it’s fine. I kind of like this,” you said as you scooted into his arms.
“So, do you plan on staying in San Diego when you get back?”
“Yeah. I have a job lined up and everything. Why?”
“I wanna take you on a date sometime. I know a few good spots.”
“Sure. Wait, how long are you in town for?”
“Another week and a half.”
“We could just go out while we’re both here. Get the first date out of the way, y’know.”
“Your mom would freak if I picked you up, though.”
“Okay, get your head out of the 1950’s. We’re both adults who can drive. It’ll be fine. Plus I’m pretty sure my mom has wanted me to get with you since I transferred to UC San Diego. She’d probably be popping champagne if she found out about all of this, honestly.”
“Well, it’s good to hear that I’ve already got mom’s approval.”
You laughed and grabbed your phone before turning your lamp off. You fell asleep listening to some ocean sounds. When you woke up, Jake was smiling and scrolling through social media. He put his phone down and hugged you before going to make breakfast. He gave you his phone number before leaving. You were a giggly mess as you laid back on the couch and texted your closest friends about the events that had happened the night before.

High Rollers, Keep Em High

“ I feel like Colten and Austin got robbed?” I told Jay as we were sitting in the couch one evening. “What do you mean? “ Jay asked his curiosity peaked. “ I mean they haven’t gotten to experience the perks of being in Bullet Club. Hell I even miss the old days. They’re young they should be out running shit, have you even taken them out.” he slid closer to me “Colten is older than I am, I’m sure their dad took them out.” he said “ Jay you can’t be serious. “ I shoved him playfully, “After all the time that was spent creating the aura of bullet club you’re gonna just cop out with their dad took them. For fucks sake till they were with you they looked like they shopped at an hbk fire sale for their gear. What’s one night? I don’t even have to go, take the boys out they deserve one night.” I said hoping to convince him “ Oh no , you’re not dumping this on me, I hear your point, and I think you’re right. Besides if there’s gonna be a one night extravaganza you have to be there since you miss it so much.” he laughed pulling me in close.
I kept waiting for him to tell me what he had planned, and the weeks went on. As the days ticked off ahead of Double or Nothing I thought for sure he would’ve said something finally the week of the show I told him “So I rented a room at that place in Vegas. I arranged the bottle service, cigars, and entertainment for the evening. Will you please make sure that the boys are dressed appropriately?” I said casually “ You really want them to see what it means when I say high rollers keep em high. Seriously though I was going to take care of it but thank you.I did however take care of our hotel for the weekend, I got us the bungalow at the cosmopolitan that you like so much.” he said walking up behind me and putting his arms around me. “Thank you for taking care of the boys. You’ve always been so good to me and them.” He kissed the side of my neck. “ I’ll take care of the boys and lay the rules out , I may even invite a few of your favorite people. I know this integration isn’t your favorite but I appreciate you doing this.” He said “ You’re welcome” wondering what he had planned.
Arriving at the hotel, it was just as I remembered the pool looking over the strip, the bath tub that o could lay down in, “ Jay, I was wrong, we don’t need to go out. We can stay in” I pleaded, “ Oh no, this was your idea. You better go get ready, we have a car coming.” he slapped me on the ass playfully. “Fine, but I’m gonna make you regret denying the offer.” I said sauntering off . “I have no doubt in my mind that you will.”as I shut the bathroom door. I emerged, Jay looking handsome as ever his black suit with the black shirt open , the gold watch the only, and the aviators his only accessories , his hair pulled up into a bun. “Jesus Jay, really, I’m not letting you go out like that.” he chuckled, “Your one to talk on your short black dress and heels, can you even sit in that ?” Pulling me into his side. “ We are quite the pair” he said admiringly.
We went down stairs to the waiting limo, both Colten and Austin were down there, Juice and Toni, then the surprises started showing up , Adam and Britt, Matt , Nick and Page. I hugged each of them “ Kayfabe is good and dead huh?” I said laughing at Cole. “ Well if there was ever a night for the devil to show up, it sounds like it’s tonight besides Britt wasn’t around then.” he laughed ,”Besides those Gunn Boys are gonna need reigning in” I figured I’d come in as back up. “Who convinced Matt and Nick to show up?” Still genuinely surprised “Did I hear someone ask who convinced me? Does everyone forget we were part of the original members? Besides we didn’t celebrate the 10 year anniversary better late than never right.” Matt said . “ Everyone in, let’s get the night rolling “ Jay said as though he was hoarding cats.
The room reserved that had been previously draped in black and white was now draped in black and gold. The dim lighting, the rooms segregated off into, a cigar lounge, a bar and then the stage with for the dancers. “ It’s perfect, it’s like stepping back into time.” Jay said “ Boys welcome to Bullet Club” as Jay handed Austin and Colten each a wad of cash . We took a seat in a darken corner, Jays natural instinct to watch everything took over, I curled in close to him. The drinks were following and everyone was having a good time. Britt and Cole came and sat across from us. “ Were we ever that bad ?” Pointing over his shoulder to Colten who had a girl on his lap a drink and money in his mouth. “Do you really want me to answer that?” Jay asked laughing “All I know is when I was handed the keys and the playbook your group left was something else.” Jay said “ Alright so we were that bad, well some of us, once in awhile.” Adam could tell Britt was paying attention. I looked at Britt and laughed. “ I’m kidding, before me they all stayed playing video games eating pizza and cuddling in their footie pajamas." Jay said getting the reaction out of Adam he wanted. Adam’s exasperated face made it all the funnier. He grabbed Britts hand and found somewhere else to be. “ Did you really need to do that?”, I asked still laughing , “ What you wanted the old me so here I am?” his smug grin telling me all I needed to know.
I had noticed one of the entertainers had her eyes on Jay. She looked him up and down , settling on his face wondering what the aviators were hiding, her curiosity just about to get the best of her. Her confident strut as she made her way over. “Just like the old days you’re being eyed.” I looked at the woman as I put my hand possessively on Jays thigh. “Jealous, much my dear” his voice teasing my ear, “She’s just doing her job. Do you want her to dance for us ? Do you want her to grind on me while you watch or should she grind on you while I watch? My personal favorite though is you sitting on my lap while she grinds on you and I grind on you.“ his voice that unnerving calm that was so seductive it just has an edge of danger. “ I want you to pay her to go away. As for me being jealous what do you want the answer to be Jay? No, because I trust you or Yes, because you are mine, and I don’t trust myself when she looks at you like she’s going to devour you.” I said. Jay pulled me on his lap kissing me, in full display of the entire room, his mouth claiming mine, in a show of dominance. His hand with cash over my shoulder for the woman. When he pulled away, I was breathless, “If someone is devouring anyone tonight, it’s me going to be devouring you.” his voice pure sin. He kissed me again then moved his lips on my neck in this dark corner of the room , a little noise escaped my mouth. “Shhhh… you’re gonna give yourself away. “ He kissed me again bringing me to be straddled across his lap, his hands on my ass, my hands in his hair. “Do you want to get out of here?”he said. Pulling me down on his hard length. “Not yet” I said, I could still feel the woman’s eyes on us, Jay kissed my neck as his hands ran up and down my sides before returning to my mouth.
“Jay, follow me. “ I said as I got off of his lap. I took his hand leading him towards the bathroom, I stepped inside grateful that it was more of a powder room he followed. “Dirty Girl” his voice like velvet, “ Couldn’t even wait to get in the car before you needed me.” His hands lowering the straps of my dress “ Now can you be quiet, or are you hoping that the dancer is listening on the other side of the door.” His mouth grazing over my breast, taking a nipple into his mouth, his hand massaging the other one. A little whimper escaping, “That’s it isn’t it.” Pinching my nipple while his teeth bit the other, a moan slipped from my mouth as I tugged at his hair. He dropped to his knees in front of me lifting the dress up around my hips, he lowered the thong, helping me step out of it “These are mine now"as he put them in his pocket. He pressed my back against the door my hand on the knob for balance as he lifted one leg over his shoulder and his mouth was on my core, licking and sucking, “Oh fuck Jay” words and moans falling from me, he kept going my hand holding his head , where I needed him. I felt the pressure build, his well practiced mouth drawing my orgasm from me, a louder than intended moan fell from my lips as I said his name. The smugness on his face when he lowered my leg from his shoulder. “ I think you’ve proven your point” he said wickedly “ Actually I don’t think I have” I said reaching for the button of his pants. “Greedy Girl, I think you’re right.” As my hands slid down his pants and boxers. “ Is this what you need? To claim what you already know is yours?”Lifting me up against the door, his cock aligned with my center, as he thrust in. “Yes” his pace was fast and I held onto him, scratching his back as he bit my neck. I moaned and clenched around him, drawing a groan from him. He changed the angle just enough that he was hitting deep inside and my clit. He could feel my second impending orgasm,as his own approached. I felt him twitch inside me. I cried out his name, as I felt it wash over me. He thrust two more times as I felt his release, I kissed him deeply, my hands now running gently through his hair. Soothing words fell from my lips, as our breathing returned to normal I kept him close to me.
He helped me down, as we both tried to compose ourselves, “Can I have my panties back” I asked reaching out my hand. “Nope, in fact I’m going to let them show out of my back pocket.” he said mercilessly. I looked at him in the mirror my cheeks flushed, my lips swollen. “How do I look?” I asked, trying to compose my self. “Well fucked and satisfied “ he grinned, as he was smoothing out his own hair, and putting the aviators back on. He put his arms around my waist his chin on the top of my head. “Let’s get out of here.” he said , I nodded as he took my hand and led me out the door.

Magic Induced Face Blindness
For Bio Dad! Bruce Wayne Month, Prompt: Take Your Kid To Work ao3 @maribat-bdbwm
The Justice League, simply put, was having a take your kid to work day. Less simply, they were holding an event for all the teenage superheroes. So not exactly a take your kid to work day but there weren’t exactly a large number who weren’t proteges of the Justice League.
Naturally, Ladybug had been invited.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng Wayne has not stopped freaking out about it since.
And not freaking out about it in the Chat Noir way, who’s been so excited that it’s all he talks about on patrol. Freaking out as in lying face down on her floor and cursing her family. Well, mostly her dad.
“Tikki, do you think if I fake cough in front of Chat Noir a few times and tell him I’m too sick to make it he’ll believe me.”
The kwami hums from where she’s settled in Marinette’s hair. “He’ll probably believe you if you’re convincing enough but is that really necessary? What’s the worst that could happen?”
Marinette scoffs. Really, Tikki should know better than to ask such a question. “I’ll walk into the watch tower and someone will immediately figure me out.”
In her one year of being Ladybug, Marinette has learnt that even her sweet kwami does not have infinite patience and Tikki’s exasperation is obvious in her tone when she says, “Marinette. Your identity is protected with magic.”
“The JL has magic users. And I’ve known most of these people most of my life. What if one of the idiots say something so dumb and I insult them and they figure it out and then Chat Noir knows my identity causing the end of the world.”
“Don’t insult them then.”
She scoffs again, “I can’t not insult them. When have you ever not insulted Plagg?”
The ensuing silence speaks for itself but Tikki doesn’t let it go. “You should go. It’ll be good to talk to heroes other than Chat Noir and temporary holders.”
She groans. Maybe if she lies here long enough the carpet will swallow her up and then Tikki can stop trying to convince her to go. “I have most of their numbers, I can talk to them whenever I want. I do talk to them whenever I want.”
The weight on her head vanishes and she feels a poke on her forehead. Lifting her head up, she glares at the tiny goddess of luck, who glares right back. “That’s not what I meant and you know it. None of them know you’re Ladybug.”
She drops her back down to the floor and sighs. “Fine. I’ll go.”
.oOo.
Wonder Woman waves them over when she sees them enter. As the two of them make their way through the crowd, Ladybug keeps her eyes on the floor while Chat Noir’s head swivels around trying to take it all in. What an odd pair they must make.
“Robin looks like an angry kitten,” her partner comments, breaking her out her reverie.
She coughs to hide her laughter. He’s right, of course. But regardless she turns to look at Damian, who’s sulking in the corner while Jon pesters him.
She grins, “I’d kill to watch you tell him that.”
He glances at her and snorts, “Not a chance. Not with that expression on your face.”
She blinks at him, “What expression?”
“The same one you had before you threw me off the Eiffel Tower for going on about the Justice League heroes.”
She smiles at the memory, “You totally deserved it.”
He holds a hand  up to his chest, as dramatic as always, “Meowch!”
She giggles. Diana is only few steps away from them now and is looking at them with an amused expression. Smiling comes slightly easier now, a chunk of her anxiety taken away by her partner’s antics. She whispers a thanks to him before greeting Wonder Woman.
.oOo.
If Diana suspects anything, she doesn’t mention it, nor do any of the others they talk to. But they haven’t had the chance to talk to any of the bats yet. At least Dick and Jay aren’t here, they’d be the most unbearable.
“We should talk to Batgirl,” Chat Noir suggests.
Marinette freezes, magic or not Cass would be the most likely to see through her but she can’t think of a valid excuse and he’d already picked up on her earlier nervousness. If she continues being paranoid, he might start to suspect something.
“Sure,” she mutters.
He waves enthusiastically to Batgirl who offers a small smile. Her gaze lingers on Ladybug and Marinette desperately hopes Cass brushes off anything odd as general nervousness. Thankfully, Chat Noir carries much of their interaction.
He’s gesturing wildly when he accidentally hits her sister’s arm. The arm that Marinette knows was in a cast until last week. Cass doesn’t wince, of course she doesn’t but the concern bursts out of Marinette anyway. “Is your arm ok??”
Chat Noir looks confused but Batgirl is assessing her. It’s a moment before she says, “I’m fine.”
Marinette nods, simultaneously relieved and panicked. She should’ve stayed home. It’s not too late to fake sickness, after all she has been acting particularly odd. When Spoiler calls Batgirl away, Ladybug visibly relaxes. Chat Noir gives her an odd look but he doesn’t say anything. Yet. She’s sure by the time they finish talking to her entire family, he’s going to think she’s lost her mind.
.oOo.
She’s mostly calmed down after her slip up with Cass when they somehow end up talking to Jon and Damian. Well, it’s not exactly talking as much as Robin and Chat Noir antagonising each other. Jon looks torn between interrupting and watching it play out. Marinette on the other hand wishes she had a bucket of popcorn and a valid reason to record their exchange.
When Damian calls the Parisian superhero, “a mangy alley cat,” Marinette snorts out loud and says, “I thought you liked cats?”
Damian stares at her, she can see his hand inching towards his katana as he asks, “How would you know that?”
Play it cool, Marinette.
She shrugs, “You just seem like a cat person. Also, I vaguely remember reading something of the kind on twitter once.”
Both of them know most things about the Bats on social media are deleted almost as soon as Oracle can get to it but people still do see them. He relaxes slightly but Marinette knows he’s wary of her.
Really, why did she let Tikki talk her into this?
.oOo.
Sometime later, Bart finds her in a corner. She’d left Chat Noir saying she needed a break and she could see him as he was talking excitedly with Steph.
“Heydoyoumindansweringaquestionforustosettleanargument?” he asks pointing at the rest of what was once Young Justice (or rather the still active members). Holding back a smile, she considers it for a moment. How wrong could it go? Actually, knowing them any thing and everything that could go wrong would go wrong but her curiosity takes over. Tim’s friends have the most amusing arguments after all.
Bart is bouncing back and forth, waiting for her answer. When, she agrees, he cheers and drags her over to their little group. He doesn’t question how she caught what he was saying instantly or how she’s totally fine even after being carted off with super speed regardless of the distance.
Thankfully, Tim is too busy arguing with Kon to notice.
“I have a solution,” Bart announces, “We ask Ladybug to be the tie breaker.”
And because when they’re together they tend to act on a single functioning braincell, all four of them turn to her at once and Cassie asks, “Do you think having several backup fake identities is necessary?”
Ah, not a new argument then. Honestly, she does. She’s suddenly even more grateful that Chat Noir isn’t with her. “I mean you do need something to fall back on if your go to identity is accused of art theft.”
Tim doesn’t have time to register the jab at him before Kon and Cassie start to rejoice loudly and Marinette slips away before they can drag her into their next argument.
.oOo.
Back in her room, after the event, Marinette sighs. “Well, that was interesting.” Her conversations with the others had gone perfectly well. It was extremely likely that Chat Noir wouldn’t dwell on her mistakes with Batgirl and Robin, and he hadn’t been there when she spoke to Tim. Regardless, she’s never doing that again. Chat Noir can go alone.
Her phone rings and she answers the video call to see a bunch of worried faces.
“Is something wrong?”
“You need to look into Ladybug,” her father states.
She frowns, “Why?”
“It’s possible Ladybug knows our identities and is a threat.”
Her jaw drops, “What?”
Marinette remains in semi shock throughout Tim’s explanation. He ends with, “If you need help any of us would be glad to come.”
“Dibs on helping Nettie!” Steph calls finally snapping Marinette out of her shock. Damn, Tikki had been right about the magic. World’s greatest detectives and this was the conclusion they came to?
She glances at Tikki once, making sure she has the kwami’s support in this decision. When Tikki nods Marinette let’s herself laugh at the absurdity of the situation.
It also ends the argument ongoing on the other end of the call. All of them stare at her in confusion until she finishes laughing. Once she’s finally calmed down she asks, “ A room full of detectives and that’s the best you come up with?”
Her father frowns, “Marinette, what-”
“Did it not occur to any of you that I’m Ladybug?”
She bursts into laughter at their startled expressions. Hurrying to take a screenshot and making sure to send it to Babs.
She is so going to lord this over them for at least the next few years.

ぐちゃ ! (Splat!) [Yoru x F! Reader] [4.5]
Heya!!
Guess what? I managed to write a short one between chores! I would've made it longer, but I'm terrible at hiding things and my dad would've been pissed if he found out haha
Promise when I'm 100% free, the next one won't be under 10k words!! Dare I say, pinky promise.
❤ฺ·。
Yoru x F! Reader
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 4.5 / Part 5 / Part 6
Genre: Fluff, angst
TW: Heavy mentions of anxiety. Like really really heavy haha
Words: 4.9k
Synopsis: Hapless doesn't even begin to describe you. With your life flipped upside down within the span of a day; you're left to rely on your best friend Tala to help you pick up the pieces and build the new one forced upon you. And this 'luck' seems to have caught the attention of one of her friends.
。+❤ฺ·。❤ฺ·。+❤ฺ· +❤·。❤ฺ·。+❤ฺ·
It’s been a long time since that debacle took place. And you never knew how fun it would be to spend a few hours with Omen looking up on how to make candles, but here you were, in the cafeteria, with a few dozen candles in the counter.
You’d taken a short break to shower and, in that time, you had discovered that Neon snuck in that spiked choker you saw that day at the store. But since she was gone today, you decided to wear it and save the scolding for later.
Luckily, though you haven’t seen Neon today, it started off well with you being called to Viper’s office. It seems like, after that catastrophe and everyone had their rest, the break was now officially over. And you were deemed ready to be sent off on your first mission.
Simple, just a mission where you’d be playing a passive role whilst your partner took care of most of the work.
Viper tapped on her laptop and rapidly switched to different folders. But given that you stood on the other side, the back of the device facing you, you had no idea what she was doing.
“So, I’ve singled out the best candidates for this mission, but you can only pick one.”
You nodded with a smile, and she began listing out their names.
“You can either choose Chamber, Astra, Fade, or Sova.”
She flipped the laptop and allowed you to look over their pictures. And yeah, sure, seeing their faces helped, but you still had one tiny issue.
“I don't know any of them. I don’t think I’ve even talked to them once. Can’t you pick like, Jett, or Neon?”
Viper straightened her back, arms crossed.
“This isn’t a scouting mission, those two can’t anchor the area I want them to.” She crossed her arms. “You’ve been here for almost two weeks, have you really not talked to everyone here?”
You nervously shook your head, and she flipped the laptop back towards her.
On your first mission, you hoped you’d get someone close so that you wouldn’t let your anxiety get the best of you. You wanted to explain, but the words just wouldn’t come out. Guilty couldn’t even describe how you felt. Was she feeling annoyed? Did she think you were hopeless? Maybe you should’ve strayed from your comfort zone for once and talked to everyone here! Maybe you–
“I can manage to fit in Yoru, instead. Omen told me you talked to him often. Is that true?”
Your face turned white, and you awkwardly laughed.
“Why not, uh, you know, Skye, at least? She’s probably a better candidate, and stuff.”
It just felt so awkward when he’d just healed up only a day before.
“Yoru’s the best I can do. He’s also the best when it comes to novice agents. I guarantee things will go smoothly with him.”
“Uh, what? How can you be so sure?”
“I’ve seen him with Neon. Her performance was notable around him, and it’s not just because they’re friends.” She straightened her back once more, sighing. “Look, I’ll talk to him. If he says no, I’ll see if I can squeeze Neon in.”
You almost wanted to laugh at the thought. Yoru, and best when it comes to novice agents? Please. He’s probably only reliable because he uses physical force to keep things in order.
If anyone would fulfil that role, it would definitely be Omen. you remembered how he calmed you down that day, how much more gentle he was compared to Yoru. The same guy who called you spineless and dubbed it ‘honesty’, or whatever mental gymnastics that was.
Okay, great! I’ll go get ready, then.”
Just as you turned to the door, Viper called out and forced you to halt.
“Hold it.”
You turned and met her gaze nervously.
“Just in case things don’t go well, promise me you’ll cooperate. I tolerate enough squabbles as is, and I'm not in the mood for more. You won’t be arguing with Yoru. Is that clear?”
You forced a smile and nodded. With how stern her tone was, her rigid posture and those piercing green eyes, how could you not be alarmed?
“I’ll– uh, you– you have my word.”
“Do I?”
You nodded once more. And this time, it was only a tiny bit more convincing than the previous one.
“Good. Well then. Chop chop.”
You were finally allowed to leave, and this chance was immediately taken before she’d say anything else. With a loud slam, you left her office and immediately made your way down the halls towards the more familiar sections of the HQ.
And on the way, sure you intended on keeping your no-argument promise, you were also desperately hoping that he’d say no.
❤ฺ·。
With Yoru by your side, it felt like the very grim reaper decided to accompany you, despite the fact that his skin beamed like that of a newborn baby’s. Cute, admittedly, but you still had to work with someone who probably hates your guts and you didn’t know why he even said yes.
Fun.
Nevertheless, unable to go back, you were forced to exit the vehicle and make your way towards a deserted part of town. Guns in hand, you were nearly ready until you took in the sight that befell you.
Sure, it was just an alley, but the rows of buildings that towered over you on each side were stunning, especially when combined with the gentle touch of the morning sun’s rays. Built with unfathomable meticulousness, their baroque architecture rendered your mind blank for a few seconds. It felt like you were staring at a renaissance painting in real time.
Yoru immediately noticed your silence.
“What’s up with you?”
You were ripped away from your hypnotic state, anxiously cradling your Bulldog like a baby.
“Nothing, I–” you turned your gaze to the path, “just surprised.”
Though you were angry at him in every sense of the word, you couldn’t help but note the tone of that question. What the hell?
You met his gaze.
“Are you okay?”
Yoru cleared his throat and kept his eyes on the exit way in front of you.
“Tell me you read the brief.”
“I– uh, what? Duh, why wouldn’t I?”
“Great. So that means I won't have to baby you.”
You rolled your eyes and moved past an abandoned bicycle, strapped to a withered tree growing through the flooring, somehow. Surprisingly enough, Yoru took a sharp turn towards said bike.
“Wait, wait, where are we going?”
“The Radianite reserves, lady.”
He explained. And only when you followed him did you see a black gate, obscured by the tree. You held your weapon and followed him in silence in an attempt to shield your embarrassment.
The mission sounded easy enough, though. Go in, delete some files, and get out. Boom, done.
Both of you climbed up the stairs, and you were unable to voice a question that randomly popped up earlier. Were the mirrors really just them, but from another earth? It sounded so surreal, not when you haven’t even caught a glimpse–
“Locked.”
Yoru said, attempting to force the doors to one of the buildings open. You stepped up, looking around for any other entrances. Aside from windows waiting to be shot, there was naught, and Viper specifically stated that nothing be damaged unless it’s an emergency.
And the feeling that Yoru would constitute this as an emergency popped up. He’s going to punch or shoot the glass, isn’t he?
“Well, we can always just find another door.”
“Tch, what are we, delivery boys?”
Or girl scouts. He pulled back his arm.
“Yoru, wait–”
A loud contorting sound took over your ears. But instead of breaking the window, you watched his fingers somehow disappear like they were being cut off. Then, he moved his arm, and a massive rip formed in front of him, various shades of blue merging together each second that counted by. It dwarfed you in height, considering that it worked to match his.
It was as if he tore the very air to reveal… whatever that was. And to say you were baffled would be an understatement.
“Uh–”
“Stay here.”
He ordered, and slipped into the dimension, the storm of blue surrounding him like some form of ethereal being. However, amidst your shock, you noticed the opening close.
“Yoru, wait, don’t–”
With one swift motion, it sewed itself shut, and he was gone.
“...leave me here…”
You brought the bulldog close to your chest and hugged it, rapidly looking around. You were jumpy. So much so, the sounds of the very leaves touching the ground made you react, even the pebbles that were crushed under you with each step.
Where the hell did he go? The least he could’ve done was provide a demonstration for his abilities!
But then again, you just argued… Gah, that idiot. Does he ever think logically?! What if one of the mirrors already arrived and could see you out in the streets like this?
You jumped and aimed at the door once the doorknob twisted. With each second the person behind it spent fumbling with it, you backed up, doing your best to keep your aim steady. And with one more click, it swung open, revealing…
Yoru.
“How–”
“Hurry up.”
He ushered you inside, giving you only a picosecond to comprehend what the hell he just did.
You huffed and walked behind him, using the lingering glowing shards of blue that surrounded him as a guide amidst the darkness of the building. Whatever was inside, you weren’t sure, but you knew the colours were stunning.
You suddenly felt a burst of confidence, especially since he willingly came along.
"Couldn't help yourself, huh?"
And you immediately regretted saying that.
"Tch, as if. Viper forced me here because you'd freak out working with people you don't know."
"Oh… really?"
"I would've expected you to at least talk to Sova or Astra. But if I were you, I'd stay away from the Chamber and Fade."
You stared at the elevator you both neared for a moment, the metal doors glimmering in the darkness almost like a guide built especially for you.
"Why?"
"I just don't trust either of them. Unless you're into animals, Chamber's good with those, I guess."
"Isn't that Gekko's thing?"
"Gekko has asthma, genius."
He promptly pressed the button on the elevator. Surprisingly enough, it still functioned, and a green ring encircled the button alongside the distant rumbling. Against the eerie silence around you, it stood out, like a distant titan taking slow steps towards the city.
How the hell did Yoru of all people keep track of everyone’s ailments? Even you forgot he had asthma. The silent screech of the elevator doors sliding open promptly snatched your attention.
“You know, for a loner, you know a lot about everyone."
"Someone has to babysit when Sage isn't around."
You giggled, entering alongside him.
"Really? Who's the hardest to babysit?"
"All of them."
Yoru slipped out a disc from his pocket and attached it to the screen of the elevator’s keypad. With a press of the button proudly displayed on the front, it glowed and immediately began working at the elevator, moving you towards the reserves.
You weren’t sure whether or not he was just bragging or being truthful about this babysitting thing, but it was funny to imagine. Yoru completely lacked the patience Sage was endowed with. Maybe one day you’d walk in on him tossing someone to a rift.
❤ฺ·。
The moment the elevator opened, Yoru immediately walked out and marched across the massive room you weren’t given a moment to process, moving in between the stacks upon stacks of glowing cyan boxes. This sight, though normal to him, was completely arcane to you. Said boxes were the only sources of light in the area. Combined with the dust and the intimidating darkness, it was hard to tell what’s what, despite their insistence on how simple the mission is.
“A/N. That wall next to the cables,” he pointed at the far left corner of the area, “find a way to break it down without too much damage.”
You looked over at where he pointed.
It matched up with the words on the brief, there was a room on the other side that was so well-hidden it was nearly impossible to get in traditionally.
“Didn’t Viper say that there shouldn’t be any damage?”
He took out a flash drive, inserting it into the computer and turning it on. It allowed Cypher access to exactly what he wanted, and you could tell he immediately got to deleting by the command prompt that popped up.
“That was a recommendation.”
Right.
You turned and stopped in front of the wall, held out your hand and worked on only emerging a small part of your hand. Most importantly, your pinky finger, so that it doesn’t take much room. Your eyes were stuck on the ground and you watched it diligently, waiting to detect any shadow that was out of place.
And as you worked, a tiny portion of your mind wandered elsewhere.
You could see why Viper picked this mission for you. All you had to do was take away any proof that radianite exists in this area, and you’re gone. Nothing too heavy, and perfect enough for you to comprehend what was to come. Even Yoru looked bored out of his mind as he worked.
Clearly, what he was used to was so much worse. Duh. He proudly showcased his previously mangled neck to you a few days ago.
But unlike him, you felt excited. This was the perfect way to ease you into things.
The air then stopped.
With a loud bang, an invisible force smashed against a portion of the concrete wall, breaking down an entrance. It was barely wide and tall enough to fit you. Without words, you knew Yoru would give you a dirty look, wouldn’t he? But then again, you also thought he’d be savagely breaking his way in, so.
You gently twisted your hand, and more of the wall came tumbling down, large chunks of it piling on to the ground alongside the debris that scattered like scared fish. You successfully formed an ‘elegant’ entrance enough to fit either of you, but not too big to break down the roof on top of you.
Perfect.
“Hoy, I’m going in!”
You called out, earning a hum from him. And with that, you entered, taking in the more crowded area.
Boxes were scattered everywhere, and so were the cables. Blueprints, paperwork, drawers upon drawers, all of it added on to the messy look of the room. Clearly, this area carried the most confidential data. You observed the contents for a few seconds, perking up at the sight of another computer.
Bingo.
Taking out your own gadget, you plugged it in and turned it on, watching as the flash drive worked to infiltrate whatever was within. Scanning, taking in the information, isolating what was important, then swiping it. Judging by the fact it took three minutes to even get to one percent, you were sure it would take a while.
You took a step back with a sigh, setting down your weapon on the massive mouse pad and looking around.
A thump from above made you jump, and on instinct, you immediately looked up. Your vision proved to be useless, but your other senses weren’t. Your palpitations increased exponentially once another thump echoed throughout. Then, a set of noises that you could make out as footsteps.
Multiple.
“Yoru, I– uh, I think there’s people here.”
“There aren’t. They don’t have any data about this place.”
You snatched your gun and took a step back, sweat dripping down your chin.
“I don’t think it’s the mirrors– I don’t know, but there’s someone here! Don’t you hear them?”
You could barely hear a distant sigh. Then, loud contortion, and a tinge of blue that softly illuminated the ground.
Crap.
“Hide. Make sure nobody sees you. I’ll take care of it.”
“Don’t leave me again!”
The blue grew stronger, and even his voice was slightly altered as he stepped into the rift.
“Relax, you can hold out until the files are wiped.”
You couldn’t. That’s what you wanted to say. But the blue was promptly swallowed up and thus, it finalised Yoru’s journey into the other dimension.
You jumped and moved away further, your back pressing up against the wall with the Bulldog in your hand. Instead of holding it like a weapon, you resorted to hugging it for comfort. With every drop of adrenaline that filled your veins, everything Harbour taught you further dissipated. Hot flashes on your neck, your eyes darting to every section of the roof with each noise; you weren’t ready.
Nobody was supposed to be here.
You took a deep breath, muttering a few repetitive phrases in Tagalog in an attempt to reassure yourself. You’ll be fine, right? You will be. Even the brief stated that your partner will take care of everything over your head. All you have to do is wait. Besides, how couldn’t you trust Yoru? His actions spoke louder than anything else, and you knew that he’d protect–
You jumped once the elevators let out a loud ding, the doors sliding open and allowing the light to accentuate two looming silhouettes. Neither of them sported any features that reminded you of Yoru. Not their hair, not the spikes, nothing.
You’ll be fine, you thought, desperate for any hint of reassurance.
You silently moved towards a pitch black area, everything obscured by the shadows, only interrupted by a single radianite crate that sat inconspicuously right across from the computer. Then, you hid behind it.
“Look, look, there’s a hole here!”
A feminine voice called out. And just from the accent, the slight gruffness of it, you knew it was Raze. Her partner said something else, but your mind hyper focused on the nearing footsteps, your clammy hand tightly clutching your weapon.
Then, she stopped, taking a deep breath.
“Do you… Do you smell that?”
Their partner walked in, their tall silhouette growing more visible from where you hid with each step.
“Guns up.”
Your breathing hitched, and you pushed yourself further onto the wall, relying on the crate to protect you. You hadn’t noticed it, but your right hand was seeping a dangerous amount of poison.
“The computer, it’s on! Wait, let me get a closer look.”
“Raze, be careful. I’ll cover you.”
She rushed up to the computer and immediately set down her Vandal, reading what was on the screen. After almost twenty minutes, it had only gotten up to ten percent. Then she tugged on her colourful hat in irritation.
“Bah, eu não posso trabalhar com esse cheiro estúpido,” <Bah, I can't work with this stupid smell,>‎
God, you couldn’t focus.
There was this horrible stinging in your chest, and you couldn’t breathe properly no matter how much you tried. Thoughts of your incoming death warped your frame of mind, and with each passing second, you were more and more convinced that this is it.
You were going to die.
Despite the anguish, you worked to fix your posture and aim at Raze’s head, struggling to keep a steady hold with how horrible you felt. Finger on the trigger, just one push, and she’d die before you could.
“GET DOWN!”
One called out, before loud gunfire rang out from far away, coupled with a deafening string of vivid distortion. Though you pulled the trigger, Raze already had her gun in her hand and rushed across the room, unable to hear or see you from the ruckus outside.
Then, the radio cracked in your ear, wincing under the loud gunshots that whizzed by Yoru’s cheek.
“A/N, hide until the transfer’s done, I have this under control.”
You wanted to speak. You wanted to respond. You wanted to say something, anything. But you couldn’t bring yourself to move. Under the command of your primal instincts, you pushed yourself against the wall once more, staring at the ground in shock.
All you could hear were your palpitations, and your other senses were clogged up by way more than you could possibly process.
Yoru, on the other hand, was aggravated by the situation.
They ensured that the mirrors had no idea about this place’s existence. Hell, the entire reason you even came here was to take away anything that they could go off of. Yet, here they were, and he knew you couldn’t do anything. In this situation, you were useless, he thought, shoving his hand into the rift and taking out a flash.
With Sova blinded, he peeked just enough to be able to gun him down, yet remained concealed from Raze’s shots. Fatuous, they only dug through the pillar he hid behind.
They were to be killed under Brimstone’s orders.
Then, with another flash, he peeked, eyes widening once he saw her rush towards the area you were hiding in. Damn it.
Yoru stepped out, gun in hand, rapidly thinking of a way to get her out and keep you concealed. But Raze had a different idea. It didn’t matter if she was going to die, all she needed to do was stop the files from being deleted.
He stopped the moment he heard a number of familiar beeping, ones you didn’t recognise. All without exposing herself, her bright orange bomb was promptly rolled towards the computer, ticking down. Yoru’s eyes widened.
Then, the air stopped.
❤ฺ·。
The process was interrupted. But it wasn’t yours, it was the computer he had been working on, now completely destroyed. Now, they relied on knowing where your progress had stopped. It’s not like it was an easy thing to find out either, not when the entire area you were hiding in had been completely engulfed in piles upon piles of concrete.
Yoru coughed and waved the debris away, taking a few steps back to breathe properly. And there, he could see that the floor above had tumbled down on where you were.
For the first time, he panicked.
“A/N– A/N, where are you?!”
He immediately called out, tucking away his Sheriff and approaching the dilapidated section you were in. Yoru prayed that you weren’t dead. But your lack of response made that contingency highly possible.
“A/N!”
No response. No time to waste, either. He quickly got to work on getting to where he knew you were. Forced to follow the strong unpleasant scent he really wanted to get away from, he had to find you.
Yoru couldn’t find a way to get through the stacks of concrete. The idea to simply go to the floor above you and jump down popped up in his mind, but then, how would he make it back out? He couldn’t get you through the teleporter.
Then, he found a small opening around the constricted corner, immediately slipping a teleport through and allowing it to make its way inside.
He promptly tore through the rift and stepped back just in case anything would fall through. But thankfully, nothing did, and from what he could see, it was safe enough for him to step through.
And step through he did, the entrance sewing itself shut from behind as he observed the area from the other side. To his left was a pool of blood that increased by the second. He was surprised, but…
“A/N, where the hell are you?!”
He exclaimed and took out his gun, immediately looking around just in case it was Raze who made it. Stepping through the boxes, he found the computer sitting just across from him, the screen glowing a blinding shade of white. And next to it was…
You.
Curled up into a ball, hugging your knees, eyes wide open and locked on the ground.
He hid his weapon and approached you, taking a deep breath. Yoru made no attempt to hide his annoyance as he looked down on you, waiting for you to stand up at the sight of him.
“Let’s go, they’re both dead. Are the files gone?”
Then, he looked back at the screen, noticing that the percentage had jumped up to ninety percent in forty minutes. But there was naught of an answer from you. Yoru, concerned, met your gaze. But you still didn’t look back at him.
“Hey, you there?”
Nothing.
He moved in front of you and got on one knee. But even then, your eyes were locked on the ground, as if you didn’t acknowledge he was there. Only now did he notice that you were shaking violently, coupled with your extremely inconsistent breathing. It bordered on hyperventilation, but you’d suddenly hold your breath for way too long. No, it’s not that you didn’t acknowledge his presence, you just didn’t see him.
Yoru’s gaze softened, and so did his posture. He could feel your alarmingly high palpitations just from getting near you.
“Can you hear me?”
It took you a second to even notice what looked like a massive lump of blue in front of you, the various shades and intricate details of it too overwhelming to comprehend.
You stared at him for a few seconds, liquid dripping down your right hand. Being so close to you, the poison’s effects on him made him both dizzy and despondent, but he knew he couldn’t leave you like this.
“I– I think I’m-” you gasped, “I’m dying, I’m dying– I, I think–”
“Hey, it’s fine, they’re gone. You’re safe.”
“I’m dying, I’m dying, Yoru, I’m–” you shook your head, struggling to breathe, “I’m going to die,”
“I’m with you. It’s okay.”
It’s not like it’s anything new. Yoru saw you panic before. Multiple times. But this wasn’t you mumbling while clutching your temples like you usually did, no. This was different.
You met his gaze, taking note of his tone. You didn’t know what it was, but there was an unfamiliar air of benevolence that threatened to extinguish your panic.
“A– are we– are we going to die? Are we going to die?”
He shook his head, slow enough for you to grasp what he meant.
“No, we’re safe.”
“Are we going to die?”
“No.”
You huffed, taking in a sudden gust of air. So sudden, it felt like an ice cold knife plunged your lungs.
“I, I can’t, I can’t– my arms, I– I can’t feel the– I can’t feel my arms.”
Yoru stared at you for a few seconds. Then, your hands, the clear poison allowing it to glimmer as it dripped down to the already soaked ground. He hesitated.
“If you want, I can hold them.”
You nodded repetitively, even after his fingers slowly intertwined with yours. Now, with his touch, you could finally feel the hands that were attached to you, and it helped ground you back to reality. Of course, it still wasn’t enough to take the horrifying sense of doom away. That, and the terrible heaviness in your chest.
It felt like you were having a heart attack. But for some reason, you just couldn’t muster up the words to tell him what was happening, not when your mind repeated only a select few phrases and focused on death so much.
“Are we going to die?”
“No, no. We’re fine.”
You stared at him for a few seconds, before turning your gaze back to the coarse ground. It felt like your eyes were about to pop out of your skull with how wide you had your lids open.
“Take a deep breath, okay? I’ll help you.”
You nodded and met his gaze, sweat dripping down your chin. Yoru, seeing this, wasted no time. He took a deep, slow breath, and you watched him diligently, like an oncoming explosion.
“One,”
Then, Yoru exhaled slowly,
“Two. Like that. Now, follow me,”
Just as Yoru repeated the first step, you followed along, taking a deep and shaky breath, one that stopped halfway through.
“One,”
He then exhaled. But this time, your breathing was only slightly more consistent, but the panic that stabbed at you like demons made it all the more difficult to focus on him.
“Two. Again, okay?”
You nodded, tightly clutching his hand in an effort to distract yourself from the situation. Though he winced at the strength of your hold, he didn’t let it derail from what the main objective was. Not the firm embrace, not the harrowing scent that sent a painful sensation across his head.
Coupled with how close he was, the discomfort only grew.
Both of you repeated the process. And since you were incredibly focused on getting your breathing back in order, with his help, you managed to gain a small amount of your rationality back; enough to remember that you were on a mission. You remembered panicking at the sight of Raze’s bomb. And with one swipe, it all came tumbling down.
“Yoru, I–”
You turned your gaze elsewhere, dread still bleeding into your voice.
“Can we… Can we leave? I– I can’t stay here anymore.”
He stared at you for a moment. Then, the computer, noting the progress. Ninety five percent.
“Sure. Let’s go.”
He helped you stand up and turned to the pile of cement, already forming a plan on how to clear a way for you.

Your meeting with Marcia went suspiciously smoothly. She fed you, sent you home with fancy tea leaves, and made you promise not to overwork yourself, which you found uncomfortably endearing.
It’s two weeks before Christmas, and you’re trying not to fall asleep standing up at the register. It’s been busier than usual, and you’ve been working later and later each day.
The lady in front of you is gorgeous. Her hair is the perfect shade of orange, and her pantsuit is the same one you’d been eyeing while window shopping up the street.
She orders a box of miniature cheesecakes then asks, “What’s your favorite?”
You glance at your pastry display and smile. “That’s a difficult question. I love everything I bake, which is selfish, but…” You open the display case and fish out a small slice of key-lime pie— the same recipe that got you hired by Logan. “If I had to choose right now, my key-lime is my favorite.”
“Wait, I recognize that. Are you by chance Y/N Y/L/N?”
You’re taken slightly aback. “I am. Why?”
“You’re the baker doing dessert for my family’s Christmas dinner. I was wondering why my brother recommended this place.” She reaches across the counter and gives your hand an excited squeeze. “I wasn’t there when you were baking for my dad, but I found the pie when I was over later. Best thing I’ve ever eaten.”
“You’re Kendall’s sister?”
“Siobhan. Shiv. You’re the one he’s always talking about!”
You feel your face flush. “Always?”
“Yes, always. You know what? I think we’d be good friends.”
You smile.
Shiv pays for her pastries and beckons you around the counter. “The second a customer walks in, get up and go. Don’t let me keep you.”
Unlike Kendall, Shiv was an open book. You both talk freely of your work, her asking questions and responding to any of yours about her job. She asks about the competing café that had opened down the street, but you tell her you don’t think you’re worried because the owner has a crusty little white dog he lets run around the property and terrorize customers.
“I love your stuff better than anything else I’ve tried, anyway,” she says. “I’ll tell everyone I know to come here, don’t worry.” The bells tinkle as someone comes in. “Aw, damn. I’ll leave you to it.”
You exchange numbers and a quick hug before she leaves and you get back to work. Because you threw yourself into your work, you didn’t really keep friends that well. It was nice to have a bubbly personality in your life again.

A few days later, Kendall texts you that he has the night off and that you should come over. Giddily, you throw on sweats and a sweater and realize he’s already outside. When you climb into the passenger seat, you tell him, “I have a car. You don’t have to take me everywhere.”
He waits until you buckle your seatbelt to start the car, not responding to what you said. He seems dazed, not focused.
“Are you alright?” you ask quietly, watching as Kendall white-knuckles the steering wheel.
“Fine.”
“Is this a bad time for me to be here?”
“What?” That seems to snap him out of his trance. “No, no. I want you here.”
“Then tell me what’s wrong, Kendall.”
He stays silent for a moment, focused on the road. “Issues with my ex-wife.”
You know he’s been divorced, you know he has two kids. “Want to talk about it?”
“No,” he says harshly. You wince, not pressing it any further, and shift to stare out the window. After a few minutes of strained silence, he sighs and wipes at his face with his hand. “I’m sorry. That was rude. I’m sorry.”
You don’t say anything for a moment. “It’s fine if you don’t want to talk about it.”
“It’s not fine how I spoke to you. I’m sorry,” he repeats. He glances at you before putting his eyes back on the road.
You chew on your bottom lip. “What do you want to watch tonight?” you ask, changing the subject.
Kendall visibly relaxes and throws you a grateful look. “I have a bunch of old Disney movies.” Turns out, his apartment complex isn’t too far from yours. You follow him into the building and up on the elevator. “I also think I have the old Spider-Man movies.”
“Toby Maguire?”
“I loved them when I was younger.” When you’re both awkwardly settled on his couch, he says, “I, uh, got popcorn to pop for this,” and doesn’t say anything else.
“Don’t tell me you don’t know how to pop popcorn.”
He avoids your gaze. “I’ll let you pick the movie if you do it?”
“Only because you asked so nicely,” you say sarcastically.
Kendall goes pink with what you think is shame. “Please. Thank you. I’m sorry.”
“Hey, I’m only joking.” You bump his knee with yours before making your way to his kitchen. It takes you a bit to find a pan and some oil, but you have the kernels popped and sitting in a bowl in no time. You pad back into the living room, your socks making soft sounds as they hit the carpet.
You hand him the bowl. “You have no butter in your fridge, you monster. Enjoy disgustingly unbuttered popcorn.”
“If you couldn’t tell, I don’t exactly cook that much.”
You sit yourself down next to him, tuck your feet under yourself and lean into him. He doesn’t pull away, but he doesn’t make any move to get closer to you, either.
Before sitting down, he’d shown you where he keeps the movies and you drew Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man from the shelf.
Kendall keeps the bowl between you two, making sure you’re eating. “Sorry. About all of this.”
“Stop. You’re doing fine. I know you think you’re not allowed to have emotions, but you are.” You readjust, setting your head on the spot where his chest meets his arm.
The movie starts, and you’re immediately fighting back tears.
Kendall shifts in his seat, trying to keep you both comfortable before throwing you a worried look. “Y/N? Why are you crying?”
“His uncle just died, Ken! And he thinks it’s his fault!” You can’t help it- you don’t know why, but you cry easily at movies. “Sympathetic, much?”
He scoffs and finally hooks his arm around you, bracing his hand on your jaw, keeping your head on his chest. His thumb traces absentminded patterns into your skin as the movie goes on. “You’ll be fine,” he says gruffly. You laugh and smile to yourself, glancing up at him. “I forgot how bad the quality is.”
“That’s what gives it its charm, Ken.” His fingers brush up and down your jaw. You two stay like this the entire movie, and you cry every time the movie demands it if you.
Every time, without even looking, Kendall thumbs your tears away.
With ten minutes left in the movie, you can feel yourself slipping away. You’re at the point where you can barely keep your eyes open, your cheek pressed up against Kendall’s torso. The last thing you think before dozing off is that you hope you don’t snore.
જ⁀➴
You wake up to the sent of faint cedar wood and Kendall’s cologne. You don’t know where you are for a moment, but when you shift and stretch out your body, you realize you’re in bed. In his bed.
You roll over and find that you’re by yourself. The other side of the bed doesn’t even look slept in. You find your phone charging on the nightstand next to you- it’s eight in the morning.
You wander back into the living room to find Kendall face down on the couch, snoring lightly. He’d taken a pillow from his bed and put it over his head, blocking out the light pouring in from the windows.
You decided you’d wait for him to wake up before doing anything. You’d feel bad if you called an Uber and left him here without saying anything, and you don’t want to be rude and do anything in his home without him knowing. Instead, you climb back into bed and kill time on your phone.
You have a working list of ingredients you need to get by Christmas Eve, and a schedule of what and when you’re going to start baking. You’re going to be closed the entire week of Christmas- just for your own sanity. Was this Christmas going to be absolute hell? Probably. But you craved the challenge. You needed it.
“Y/N? You up?” Kendall rasps, poking his head through the doorway. “I made coffee.” You follow him into the kitchen, exchanging ‘good mornings’, and he hands you a mug.
You murmur a ‘thank you’ before asking, “How’d I end up in bed?”
He says nothing, taking a sip of his coffee.
“You know you snore like a puppy?”
“You know you snore like a cartoon character?”
“Your thing is cute.” He leans against the kitchen counter, his hair ruffled and shirt wrinkled. You cross an arm over your torso, facing him.
“I could’ve slept on the couch,” you say.
“Then I would’ve slept on the floor.”
“Ken, it’s your home.”
“I’m not letting the guest in my home sleep on the couch. ‘Specially not you.”
You finish your coffee and wash your mug in the sink. When Kendall gives you a dirty look, you tell him, “It’s the least I can do,” then demand he gives you his mug.
“Hey. I need to get to work. You can, um, stay as long as you like. Or you can go. Whatever you want.”
“I’ll stick around until you leave?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’ll call you a car.”
He disappears into his bathroom, and you hear the shower turn on. You lounge around on his couch, sitting with your thoughts. You don’t exactly understand your relationship with Kendall. Are you exclusive? Does he like you like you like him? Sometimes, like last night, you were perfectly cozy with each other, and other times, like the night when you kissed him on your porch, he made you want to rip your face off in embarrassment.
A half hour later, Kendall absentmindedly sits down next to you, fiddling with his tie. A matching blazer to his gray slacks is tossed over his shoulder. He stares ahead of him, while you stare at him, finally tying his tie.
“You look nice,” you say softly.
He glances over at you, meeting your eyes, and gives you a rare, tender smile.
“I’ve been thinking,” he begins. “It’d be nice if you spent Christmas with me. My family.”
You smile. “Is Shiv going to be there?”
“How do you know Shiv?”
“She came into the bakery the other day. She recognized the pie I made your dad.” You tuck a bit of his hair into place. “She also said you talk about me a lot.”
Your smile splits into a grin as he blushes, embarrassed. “She said that?”
“Among other things.”
“I do talk about you. I… I can’t stop thinking about you, sometimes,” he says, face still pink. “I never say anything bad. There’s nothing bad to say, anyway.”
You steel yourself, then ask, “What are your intentions with me?”
“The more time we spend together, the more I want to make ‘us’ a thing.”
“So why don’t you?”
“I’m scared,” he says simply. “I’m scared I’ll ruin it.”
“Why?” you ask again.
“I don’t even know,” he admits quietly. “I’m clearly not good enough for you. I was, and probably still am an addict. My ex won’t let me see my kids. I have an asshole father who’s also my boss”
“I decide who’s worth my time and who isn’t, not you.” You shift so that you’re sitting sideways on the couch, completely facing him. “I like you, you know.”
Kendall looks into his lap. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“What makes you think you will?”
“Everything I’ve ever done in my life.” He drags his hands over his face and braces his elbows on his knees, holding his head up. “God. That’s ridiculous to admit.”
“Well, let’s take it slow, then.”
“But I want you now. Which is insane, but I do, even though I’ve only known you two weeks, I do.”
You fidget with the hem of your shirt. “I don’t-“
He cuts you off, pressing his mouth to yours. This time, he’s not stagnant. He kisses you like you’re fresh air after a deep sea dive, like he needs you to survive. Kendall’s desperate, needy, hungry for this. For you.
When he pulls away, he looks shaken. “Is this wrong?”
“Not in my eyes.”
You pull him back towards you, taking his jaw in your hands. He doesn’t falter, kissing you again, his hand coming up to close around your wrist. This time, you go slow, keeping the kiss sweet and tender.
This time, it’s you who pulls away. You wipe at his lip with your thumb. “That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
“Don’t be mean about it,” he says meekly. “I’m sorry for holding back before. I… we’ll figure it out together, right?”
“Right. And stop apologizing. You’re not doing anything wrong.”
“You must think I’m-”
You press a finger to his lips. “Kendall. Stop.” He gives the pad of your finger a weak kiss. “You have feelings, too. Just feel them, it’s okay.”
He moves your finger from his mouth, instead taking your hand and pressing a kiss to your palm. “As much as I’d like to stay and talk about all that sappy shit, I have to go.”
“Ugh, you know just how to ruin the moment.”
You both get to your feet as he rolls his eyes at you. “Put on your shoes and get the fuck out of my apartment,” he says teasingly, setting a hand on your head and kissing your brow.
“Nice seeing you too, Kendall, I had a great time, Kendall.”
He tweaks your nose and gives you a last kiss on the lips before he’s gone.

Fuck, it i love you.
Part 1/?
(Austin! Elvis x reader)
Summary; sugar! daddy Elvis basically starting a relationship between 34-year-old Elvis and 19-year-old reader, who’s the colonel’s step daughter... it starts of pretty innocent but soon turns into allot more
Tw; angst age difference sexual tension, fluff maybe some swearing that’s about it reader as annoyingly naïve at first bare with me
Note: priscilla doesn’t exist so he ain’t married….. might get dark from time to time
Year 1968; comeback special
you sighed softly looking out of the car window “I really really reallyyyy don’t want to come along you know that right”.
You said and shot your stepdad a glare, to say you didn’t like him was a soft expression of the hatred you felt towards that man, and you honestly didn’t get what your mom.
Saw in him and that you’ll never know either, but little did you know that. The colonel that’s what he called himself at least.
He looked your way and scoffed shaking his head at you “if it makes you feel better little girl, I didn’t want you to come either, but your mama asked me to help you start of. An acting career so be happy I even let you be in my boy his Christmas special hm?”
He said and gave you a stern look which made you roll your eyes. You didn’t even wanna waste the energy to respond to his comment you didn’t wanna.
waste your time any longer you in full honesty just wanted to go to school and study women’s rights. To make a better world for them but noooooooooo your mother wanted you to become a model or an actress. Cause a girl as pretty as you weren’t supposed to be the sweating away in the office all day.
But you swear that if you could have it your way you’d be living with your grandparents. Upstate New York and would be going to one of the best schools out there. But you didn’t have it your way you never did, and it never would with this dimwit around.
You sighed softly as the car was parked you got out the minute it stood still. And pulled down your baby blue dress and fixed your hair as you entered the studio with your stepdad.
You looked around as your eyes widened as you entered the building. You felt shyness build up in your stomach and wrapped your arms around yourself. “ain’t no way in hell I’m gonna be in that crowd! I don’t care what mama wants…” you whisper shouted at the colonel.
He scoffed at you and shook his head “your gonna be in that crowd if you like it or not little girl.” He shouted right back at you, you huffed and shook your head an stormed off yelling. “You aren’t even my dad!”
before he could even follow you, you hid in the first bathroom stall you could find wanting to get away from him.
You waited for a few minutes and the minute the heavy footsteps were gone. You made your way out of the small bathroom stall making it your mission to find the nearest bus stop.
in the neighborhood I the hopes to get to. School before second period, as you made your way down the hall you bumped into someone.
“I’m so so so sorry…I’m really clumsy and jumpy and I’ll get you a new.” You looked up at the person you were talking to “c-coffee.” it was the one and only Elvis fucking Presley.
He let out a chuckle and looked at you “it’s okay no need to apologize… leavin’ already huh?” He asked looking back at the exit and then back at you.
You looked at him feeling a tad nervous and shook your head “uhm no…..but yes,  you see mr I’m supposed to be at school… my step dragged me-.” You cut yourself of wondering why you were telling all this to Elvis freaking Presley. What was wrong with you he couldn’t care less why would he. “sorry you don’t care I’ll make my way out.” You giggled slightly embarrassed and turned on your heel starting to make your way away from him.
When you felt him grab you’re wrist, you looked at him surprised as he spoke up again. “first of all call me Elvis sweetheart….. second of all whose your stepdad?” he said in that deep voice with that southern accent it.
You were sure you were blushing you could feel It on your cheeks as you looked at him a bit surprised before answering the good mans question. “colonel tom parker” you mumbled and looked at your feet.
Elvis took a good look at you his eyes scanning over your body. He let out a hum at your answer before he spoke up again. “wait so why did you wanna leave already darlin?” he looked at you as you let out a.
sigh “well he wants me to be in the crowd an I uhm…. I don’t wanna leave I promise I just don’t wanna be In the crowd yano..?” you said as you look back up at him, his eyes staring right into yours. And oh boy did you get lost in those pretty blue eyes.
Elvis nodded his head and motioned for you to come along wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “c’mon follow me darling I’ll get you the best spot out of all of ‘em outta the eye of the public of course.” He said as he walked you over to the control center and you smiled softly to yourself leaning into his touch.
“say how old are ya anyway?” Elvis said looking down at you, you looked up at him and smiled “I’m 19”. Elvis nodded his head and smiled a you “good that’s a nice age”.
You felt your cheeks turn light pink as you and Elvis entered the control center room you. Looked around with big eyes so amazed by all the buttons that you didn’t even notice Elvis looking at you, you didn’t even  hear the chuckle escaping his lips.
The man had just met you but was already filled full of adoration for you. And he’d do everything in his power to make you is not that he need to do allot for him because.
At the end of the day he was Elvis fucking Presley and he had women dropping at his feet. By just flashing them a pearly white smile and my oh my was that pearly white smile working on that little heart of yours.
Elvis smiled and moved you over to a chair at the desk pulling out a chair for you. “here ya go honey take a seat ye while I talk to my friend over here.” You nodded your head and took a seat at the chair.  He pulled out for you as he talked to Steve
“and huh if the colonel comes In just tell him we didn’t need another person in the crowd so I made her your assistant ye you can have her do some coffee runs maybe to convince him of it.” He said to Steve as he nodded his head Elvis walked back over to you and smiled.
“it’s all set pretty now you just sit and enjoy the show ye” Elvis smiled and gave you a slight smirk. you giggled as you looked up at him “thank you so much… good luck you’ll do amazing” you said as he shoot you a wink before walking off onto the stage.
That was your first encounter with Elvis Presley and it certainly wouldn’t be your last

──★ ˙ ̟ Blue Lock matchup No.5 @mooncakes-and-peaches
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello! This is my last current matchup. I’ll be writing more soon as I have 3 shorter bonus ones planned for the few people who sent in after the cut-off. I’ll be opening them up again soon once I find I have more free time! I also have some special types of matchups planned so stay tuned!
So anyways, some of the things you noted in your matchup felt really refined and sort of sophisticated, in a way? So, with that, I decided to match you to Reo Mikage!
I know you’re anime only, and so matching you to Reo might not make much sense now, but his personality really shines through in the manga, and I might write a bit over my intended limit trying to prove that to you, so hear me out!
Tumblr media
―୨୧⋆ ˚ “I'm a huge homebody. I enjoy watching TV… drawing occasionally.. writing ideas and characters for stories…”
“…and working out (my goal is to look fit and I’ve actually managed to get some muscle!) I like playing tennis, but I have to be in the mood and the weather has to be right.”
If you’ve read most of my matchups so far, I’ve said this same thing a few times, but most of your description sort of gave me Reo vibes (if that makes sense). We know that canonically, Reo is/was studious in school, achieved high marks and always performed well in what he did/does. Despite this, I feel as though he’d definitely enjoy staying home after a long day of training (as anyone else probably would). Though, Reo would definitely motivate you to play more tennis; he’d probably see potential in your skills despite you having specific conditions to be in the mood to play right! He’d also bring you along when he has training at the gym, and the two of you would train together, and this way, the both of you can meet your fitness goals together. Though on those off days when the both of you aren’t in the right mood to go to the gym, you’d stay home, and binge watch a TV show together, sharing a bowl of popcorn and different types of chocolates that he picked up from a super-high-end chocolatier earlier that day. I feel like Reo, being the rich kid that he is, is probably used to super refined tastes, like 95%+ dark chocolate. I’m not sure whether you like dark chocolate or not (personally, I absolutely love it) but if you don’t he’d try to convince you to try it, and if you do, the two of you would eat the box of chocolates together.
―୨୧⋆ ˚ “I'll let things slide here and there, but I've never been a big risk-taker/have been rebellious. At the same time, and I know this is contradicting, I'm a very lazy individual, but recently I've been doing better doing what needs to be done and more.”
Seeing as Reo is kinda a textbook spoiled rich kid, he also carries a little bit of a ‘look at me, I’m following the rules’ kind of personality, but not necessarily in a bad way. Seeing as you’re someone who seems to avoid trouble, he may see you as a ‘refined’ individual and take interest in that. We know that Reo is a huge business and stocks nerd, (duh) his family says it all. So, I’d imagine that he’d constantly yap to you about those types of things, asking you if you’ve seen the stocks today, and always telling you and about the shifting economic state of whichever country is on his mind today. I may be wrong about this, but in the case that you do know about those types of things (I def do not) I can imagine the two of you talking about it for hours. In the case that you don’t really know much about business-y type things, you’d listen to him talk and talk about something he read in a book he bought earlier that day, only to end his yap session by saying:
“Well, I don’t really care since I don’t want my dad’s company anyway. I’ve got Nagi, and together, our soccer will…”. Congratulations, yap session number 2 is about to begin! Although, you don’t really mind, because seeing Reo finally have something to call his own brings a special type of warmth to your heart. His newfound motivation towards wanting to be good at something that he grew from nothing himself definitely makes you feel like you can motivate yourself to build your own skill at things that you already enjoy doing.
I’d imagine that Reo would obviously bring you to meet Nagi. He’d take you along to watch him practice one time and introduce you to his closest friends (literally only Nagi, maybe Chigiri? – but I won’t spoil anything for you). Seeing as you didn’t mention soccer as one of your interests he might suggest that the three of you play a sport together one day, and you’d suggest tennis. With Nagi being the talented freak he is, his general skill in almost anything he does may physically exhaust you, with you opting to watch him and Reo go against each other in a match while you keep the scores. That’s not to say that you’re bad at playing tennis, of course. Nagi is (was) known to make these types of underhanded comments at another person who isn’t up to his skill level (😭).

Given his riches, Reo would obviously have expensive taste. If I’m not wrong, he wears designer clothes and all that jazz. So, seeing as you also have a super self-improving orientated mindset, (in my opinion) he’d always motivate you to do new things and open your avenues up a little. That’s why I think he’d pamper you with new clothes, or randomly take you ‘shopping’ where in reality he takes you to get one of those colour analyses, where the person would help you figure out what colour ‘looks best’ on you. He’d pay extra attention to it and buy you things based on what the analyst says. Of course, he takes it with a grain of salt, and lets his personal opinion seep through when buying you gifts. As for you, you’d give him a little ‘fashion show’ where you try on the clothes he bought you so as to not disappoint him, even if they’re not really your style. In the end, you’d pick out a couple pieces that you ended up liking a lot and scold him for splurging (just because he has tons of money, doesn’t mean he should spend it all!). He’d also take note of the types of things you ended up keeping and use it as reference for his next shopping haul for you. From personal experience, he knows that money isn’t the only thing that can keep a person happy, so he definitely tries to not overwhelm you with all his gifts and stuff. Seeing you smile and be content is one of the most important things to him, and he’d be absolutely torn if he was the reason for you to feel any sort of sadness.
